Hey guys! I received an Stable MIUI 11 update, based on Android 9 on my Mi Mix 2. I really hope Xiaomi will not forget about this device, and is going to update it to Android 10. But, Pie is fair enough, considering that this was originally a Nougat device.

Currently has the up to date Android OS and it gets updated time to time. And the best thing about Mix 2 is it's camera. It has a single camera but it captures better than any similar or dual camera phones. It was the flagship model so it has also the high end hardware. It can swiftly handle any kind of bigger apps and games. The battery backup lasts till a day and half but for heavy usage it lasts for a day. The fast charger helps to get it fully charged in an hour and minutes. The screen is bezel less and full HD so it also catches the trend of 2019 type of phones. Worth buying it.

Honestly after using it as daily driver for 2 months, it is excellent! (No bias cause im a sony and apple fanboy) The camera is not that great but it keeps the job done Build quality? Only if xiaomi uses paint that doesnt wears off easily. Other than that, that ceramic back glass is sexyy Battery? Better if it would get 4000 mAh something Specs and performance? It done very well, heavy intensive gaming, multitasking. Snappy as hell Still MIUI is a great os , but needs inprovements. Looking forward for next Mix

If you are concern about just the battery you should buy the Xiaomi notes series If you want performance you have to compromise on it's power But it's not too bad for the mimix2. Heavy usage with around 6hrs sot...also depends on type of applications run

Both cameras have improved somewhat after the recent updates. It's a relief, because previously this phone had a front camera that was more on the level of the Redmi Note 3. This feedback is for those users who had asked how the camera is. It's still not as good as other flagships, but you can say it's now comparable to a J7 Max or A series Samsung phone, which is not so bad.

I'm actually satisfied with my Mi5, for the price of about 230USD, it's a steal. I always use it as my dashcam when driving, the OIS helps a lot on stabilising. The battery can be replaced, I already have a spare battery just in case. The thermal pad can also be replaced, just make sure that it is 0.5mm thick.

Mine is more of a question than an opinion. I have an LG V20. Great phone except for the main reason to have a phone; the reception. Terrible with AT&T. I am looking at this phone to replace the V20. I also live in Tampa, FL. Does anyone have any experience with this phone in United States and major and rural cities and even country roads with reception? Also, since this phone is made in China and all the software, I am sure is more catered towards Asia, does this phone have any Chinese quirkiness that get annoying or would make you rethink if this is a real phone or a kids phone? Stop trolling here, the free charger supplied in the box do quick charge the phone. For Qualcomm QC 2.0 or 3.0 charger, compatible charger is not limited tp Anker or Aukey brand,even the non-branded one, as long as it is certified with Qualcomm QC, then it can be compatible, regardless of brand, as low as $4 or $5, all work without issue. Any Qualcomm QC is compatible to any Micro USB and type C cable that can transfer data.

Guys finally I decided to go with mi note 3, 6/128 variant aed 1200. I asked suggestions between xiaomi mi note 3 vs xiaomi mi mix 2 vs Huawei mate 10. But only xiaomi were in my budget around 1200 aed. Last weekend in my store xiaomi mi mix 2 had offer for aed 1099 which I just missed thinking coz of it's camera performance and the position of front camera. It's is awesome looking device with bezzel less with the powerful SD 835. But I hope mi note 3 with SD 660 is the most balanced performance and great camera with battery life even some you tube reviewr say. Thanks guys for the suggestion I hope I'm making the right choice by replacing my xiaomi mi max. Thanks guys .

This phone is awesome. Lives up to the hype. Internet speeds are the fastest I've ever seen. Resource-heavy apps don't slow down at all. Games run extremely smoothly. I highly recommend installing a custom launcher immediately after activating the phone. Stock MIUI is terrible. No app drawer! I use Nova Launcher, by far the most popular one. If you don't know what a launcher is, it is simply how your phone looks outside of the actual apps--icons, home screens, etc. Installing a new one is easy and safe, and you will be happy you did it. The camera is okay, but not great. Contrary to what people are saying, you can't really use Google Camera with this phone. You can install the app via APK, but it does not work properly. The stock camera app is your only option. And the app is fine, there is no reason to replace it. It's the camera specs that are weak. It is just not a high-end camera. Comes with a thin case, a headphone adapter, and a charger. No screen protector.

Even though it is not stated in the specifications, look at the chipset, it is a SNAPDRAGON 835, it can go up to those mobile data speeds, since the WiFi modem is embedded inside the chipset. I guess u need some knowledge in tech bruh...

Mi mix 2. Cheaper, amazing display, 8 gb ram and snapdragon. Camera is also verryyy good, and battery is pretty decent even tho it has 600 mAh less than the huawei. Both phones are great for the price, but i would suggest you to wait till like may when mi7 and other flagships with snapdragon 845 will come out. If you need a new phone RIGHT NOW, get a mi mix 2.

Depends on how you use the phone: OnePlus 5t if - you want general performance, gaming, productivity. Note: Your warranty isn’t voided if you choose to root it. In fact, OnePlus dev’s have put out a tutorial on how to root phone. However, it highly lacks camera performance. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 - If you prefer camera and video over the cost of no headphone jack. It has the same Snapdragon 835 and slightly higher battery, meaning it’s performance is level with OnePlus 5t’s. I do believe it is slightly more expensive. I suggest reading more reviews of each phones ~

Great phone. Especially after getting rid of MIUI. To be fair, it isn't bad but had notification problems with many app. Definitely worth it. Especially if you like to read, text, watch videos. So much screen in an easily held device. The chin it's perfect for a "home base" for flick gestures. Shutterbugs would probably do well to choose another device, however. That I am not, so no worries from me. I would definitely buy again.

After the MIUI 9 update, Dead Trigger 2 isn't working normally. My phone tells me I am connected to a Bluetooth gamepad and so I am unable to play the game. I am sure other Mi Mix 2 owners with Dead Trigger 2 installed on their phones have encountered the same problem.

Received Mi Mix 2(6GB RAM, 128GB ROM) today from FilpCart. Below is my mini review - 1. Quality of box & its design is very well. 2. Handset is so beautiful, futuristic, performance is butter smooth. 3. Back cover is made of quality plastic material & its necessary as due to slippery Ceramic back material of handset. 4. OS version in MIUI8 build 8.5.1.0(hardening of phone had taken approx >1Hrs, easy to customize & there are various options/settings), now waiting for MIUI9 which will be avaiable on 02-Nov-2017. 5. Battery came with 56% default, used it for gaming, watching movies, browsing(both WiFi & 4G), taken some Photos & Videos, etc, over all have used Mi Mix 2 continuously for approx 5 to 6Hrs still there was 12% battery reaming & with 12% battery remaining, full charging taken approx 1:15Hrs. 6. Excellent 5.99” IPS screen (can say I am not missing my S5 AMOLED screen), Camera, Speakers, Calling qualities, etc are very good. 7. OMG audio quality is so clear & loud compared to my Samsung S5. 8. Fingerprint sensor is very fast. Overall very much satisfied with Mi Mix2 & will definitely recommend it.

I have the Mix 2 for a couple if weeks,one word;AMAZING!Battery life is really good for a flagship processor,at least 6h screen on time spread over 2 days,or 7,5h sot spread over 1 day!!! The test result from gsmarena is not correct!!!(gps on background?!).This thing has far better bettery life than my previous MI5(92H endurance?!),and last at least the whole day,way better than my wifes Iphone 7plus!Camera is also good with HDR or HHT in low-light conditions.(compared to S7 edge).Blazing fast,no hickings,excellent screen(good blacks and contrast),comfortable,at least 4 years of updates(have a MI3 on xiaomi.eu rom). @ GSMARENA test again the battery endurance,because It should be around 100h and NOT 65h!!!

it's clocks speeds that are the biggest with x30 but not the best chip. If it would be best chip, it would be on phones that price start from 600 euro at least. And well tbh I don't understand these chips anyways and benchmark scores. My phone chip is MT6750T and Antutu is around 39-41K. There is one phone that has 720p screen and only one GB more ram and have same MT6750T processor but Antutu score is 63K How this can be I don't understand. But tbh my phone will run most games well enough even some fps games and well I don't play games on my phone and for sure not these games that need more hardware then I have. So far what I understand is that Snapdragon is the way to go and not lower then 6 series if you want to game. I think I have rooted only one phone and it was Samsung galaxy gio and that's at least 5 years ago. I have droid 7 and don't expect to have updates. As my phone is as budget as possible and it's a mix copycat. Thing is that these days it's hard to find a phone that don't have 5.5 inch screen on it and is with nice specs in a good budget price range. My pockets aren't big enough to fit these devices in and wont destroy the device when I sit down. And I don't talk about back pockets what I never use for anything. In my perfect world phone length cant be over 145mm. There are things like Doogee Mix Lite that has 5.2 inch screen with body length of 130mm and looks like Xiaomi mi mix 1. but specs wise is quad core low mediate 20K antutu and 2GB ram useless.

The mi mix is 6.4..... which could be too big to hold in your hand depending on your hand size and they were said to be slippery also, they also had no gorilla glass to my knowledge, had last gen processor, lesser RAM etc. I know one doesnt always need the latest processor or tons of RAM, but other factors could be an issue. So I would suggest you buy this.

Firstly, the quality of the camera is not decided by the number of pixels.With the best camera on mobile phones, galaxy s8 and iphone 8 has 12MP only. Secondly, the camera on mi mix 2 is a imx386, which sure isn't very good.However, a imx362 would be too thick for this phone, and if imx362 and f/1.8 are used, it would make the phone a lot more expensive.

I'd much rather have a good single lens over a meh dual lens. And also, dual lens systems provide few upgrades over a single one. The Pixel still does low light shots better than most, HDR shots better than most, and a superb shutter time. All with one camera.

I'm SO happy to see that more and more Chinese phone manufacturers are opting to add the necessary LTE network bands for United States GSM networks. In years past I've seen so many phones with attractive specs and price points, but no support on networks here in the states, so I would end up spending more for a "top end" flagship that I didn't really want. Even though its a year old, I'm seriously considering the Xiaomi Mi Mix first gen for my next phone. It's still priced new at around $500 for the 256GB variant.

Hands on Review The model is quite good with a sleek model, they have tried to give a little bit difference other than the same layout, the front speakers is so slim and looks cute and the selfie camera has been placed at the bottom right, a new effort, don't know how the people are going to react for this, the screen 5.99 inches is quite good and large, quiet enough for space management and playing games and watching movies. As per the specification I found out some disadvantages as below. 1. Don't know it supports VoLTE 2. Does not have a card slot 3. Primary Camera specification could be increased a little bit, lot of features missing 4. Secondary Camera 5Mp, people expect their selfies to be more clear, so they could have gone for 8Mp or more 5. Absence of 3.5mm jack will be a major disadvantage, have to use a bluetooth headset, or a 3.5mm adopter/base attachment which will cost you extra 6. Absence of Memory Card Slot, Storage cannot be expanded 7. Absence of Infrared port, cannot be used as a remote control 8. Absence of FM Radio, not a bigger disadvantage 9. Absence of TV output via HDMI 10. Absence of USB Host, USB devices cannot be connected 11. And asusual Non-removable Li-Ion 3400 mAh battery, they could have gone for 5000mAh, this battery will give you only 6 hours backup on a 4G network 12. The selling point is presumably the screen-to-body ratio, but the thing that strikes me is that it is just fractionally larger than the LG V30 in every direction for the same size screen. This is cheaper, of course, but then the LG does offer a higher-resolution screen, an SD slot, headphone jack, IP rating, doesn't have MIUI (may be a matter of taste) and in many countries may have better warranty support. And its symmetric design means the front camera isn't stuck in a weird place. So while the original Mi Mix was an attention-grabbing novelty, this follow-up, while fixing some of the problems of the original (more sensible earpiece, more manageable size) also just by being more mainstream becomes more comparable to other devices, and doesn't perhaps quite stand up against the most direct competitors.

Reason for SD card is not amount of space, it is separate space. Every time I flash different rom and fully wipe device I still have everything I need on SD card. Ambled display is not about just beauty it is about features you can have on it like ambient display etc. That is one feature I can not be without. Battery size is always important to me. 7.6 mm tick phone with 1.5 mm camera bump is silly. Just even up that space with battery. More juice is always better. 9 mnm phone is just fine, that 1.5 mm is not really that huge. Also LTE band 66 is needed for my provider. That is really to bad.

It has the snapdragon 835 vs the 821 of the original which was a battery hog. In addition it's now a 6" display versus 6.4" of the original. It has a bigger battery than the Note 8 which has a 6.3" screen. I bet it will last longer than any of them... and it has so many freaking global LTE bands that it will work no matter what country you are from. Awesome phone. Kudos to Xiaomi.

I would never ever use another Phone than MI MIX. This week I will buy MIX 2 while I will be in Beijing.. I have been XIAOMI Website Moderator for a long time. ( almost 2 years).Most of what this guys who have problems are writing is because as it is always,, the user needs to know the product he buys and not the Product must be in favor for one User only. What all the fuss with waterproof??? Don't drop in into the toilet and there is no need for. About broken display screens it can be bought for US$ 100 From Shenzhen. Takes 15 minutes to change.. The Mix2 will have OIS 4 axle, its an advantage over MI MIX. The Battery is smaller because the phone itself is slightly smaller, it degrades by only 100 MA. That's nothing.. The phone will last for two days in normal use, a shitty Iphone Battery needs to be recharged after 8 - 12 hours and you are paying more than double of the price. Go for it you will not regret it.

The Mix 2 doesn't have a reason to exist. Actually Xiaomi could have named it Mix -2 because it has everything going backward. Smaller display. Smaller battery. The reason why new smartphones or new versions are launched are 1) better faster tech inside. 2) Better features like sharper bigger screen or better camera or 3) To make a new design statement. Mi Mix 2 does neither of the 3. It has more or less same design with lower specs than the previous version and a lower price. I feel the only reason Xiaomi thought they needed the Mix 2 was because the margins were not high enough on Mix 1 and they needed to scale down the specs drastically to improve margins at more or less same price.

Very worst ever earphone voice quality, Speaker is just like very irritate voice come out. Built quality is something like strange as my phone get Screen broke while only dropped it by 6 inch of height from hand. And more wonder comes when I found that Xiaomi is not providing genuine spare support and denied to provide screen even I was ready for paying huge money for get it repair. At the time of buying I confirm with the retailer and they ensured me they will provide all the backup not on report of it, they clearly denied to provide any support. they are not that important now with cloud storage and people using netflix and youtube mostly the downloads are not that much so you don't need to keep much in device and if you can afford this 650-700$ phone you probably have a laptop besides memory card are not cheap sandisk 400 GB sells for 250$ and 256 gigs is enough for most people that is comparable to entry level mac book. Mi 6 is already here in the new Mi store! I saw it...not impressed- iPhone clone! Right now the V30 looks quite good and better than Note8 on paper- much smaller and with S835 processor. Sure it will be much cheaper too as LG is struggling here...lol. I hope they bring the V30+ with 128GB to make up for 4GB RAM. The Exynos 8895 is much inferior to S835 in real world performance so I'm' definitely not keen on the Note now. Looks like I'll decide between V30 and Mix2 :)

Currently using a global version of a Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 I had a couple of OTE software updates and the phone is currently on android version 7.0 NRD90M. Previously had all the flagship Samsung phones from the legendary Galaxy S2 all the way up to the note 4. Xiaomi makes quality and reliable products at a very competitive price. I'm a Xiaomi fan having enjoyed a number of their phones. However, I'm shocked that the Mix 2 is so wide!! It has the same display size as the Samsung Galaxy S8+ (6.2 inches) but it's much wider at over 81 mm while the S8+ is only 73.4 mm wide. The S8+ is less than 1 mm taller so why is the Mix 2 not at least under 75 mm?? I have noticed this theme for all the recent Chinese bezel-free phones - all are disappointingly wide, which misses the point, in my opinion - the point being to offer a large display with less width for ease of holding in one hand. If a bezel-free phone is too wide, it is only a fashion statement offering no real functional advantage.

That's because you might have bought a Xiaomi from gearbest or some other wholeseller and this kind of sellers just erase the original ROM from Xiaomi and places one of their one. It's all about licensing. The majority of their devices aren't licensed to run on LTE B20 and thus are restricted by firmware.

Xiaomi should definitely release a global version (not just global rom) that has band 20 (800MHz) support. It's the only band used in common by every UK 4G network provider. I'm sure there's a big market in the UK for large bezel-less phones like this, so long as they support this band.

Mi Mix 1st gen screen cracked from 1 foot drop. Its a fell from your hand to your table drop. I imagine an actual drop from hand to floor will smashed it in to pieces :p that being said the first didn't have Gorilla glass or its equivalent, here's hoping that they'll use GG 5 for this Mi Mix 2.

shitty front camera. xiaomi note2 released in oct2016 had front camera at 8mp with autofocus. but this mix evo has ips lcd, which is actually to me, better than amoled (used in xiaomi note2)

This is one of the best phone for large screen lover especially those who love playing games with the latest snapdragon. Plus the memory is big, u can install lots of applications with big mb. Seems it has 4 and 6 ram this phone should run lots of application smoothly with Cpu octa-core. The graphic must be awesome because of combination latest android version noughat and snapdragon 835. This phone is all up to date from any side of version. I am surely will buy this one as soon as possible.

Though my ideal preference is a 5.7-6.0" screen phone with minimal bezels...i will gladly take a slightly smaller 6.0" screen Mi Mix. That said, i will also gladly take a 6.4" almost all screen phone which is about 159mm tall and 82mm wide with a 4400mAh battery any time, than a 5.7" screen phone that is 162mm TALL and 80mm wide with a paltry 3000mAh battery. I hope Xiaomi can speed this up and make it known if this bad boy will make a showing unlocked here in the USA with all the bands that play nice with Tmobile and all the other major carriers.

Compensation for small things LMAO Anything above 5-5.2 is out of the question for me, no matter what screen to body ratio that may be.. I hate phones that are hard to use with only one hand. Also this looks terrible to work with in landscape mode - the bezels have their meaning in this. I do admit the design is a killer. Wish they had better quality build though. Is it possible to root these China phones? To fully unlock the bootloader? If I can't root a phone it is useless to me..
