Bought this phone only 1 month ago, the battery problem is really serious. With full charge that can only last 1hour of usage. Again when the battery usage is 45% the phone goes off. It becomes impossible to boot again . I want to believe the phone arived with a faulty battery. Can someone advise me on how to get another battery for my YU5050 phone

Today is 3rd Birthday of my Yutopia . Absolutely divine Mobile. Works seamlessly even after 3 years Only battery backup has decreased now. I never had any problems. Processor and RAM management of Cyanogen OS is excellent.

I have filed a case in consumer court against YU/Micromax against the defective product sold to customers (Yu Yutopia). This is mainly regarding the camera lens cover simply falling off. It is due to a basic fault in the design. The company totally disregarded repeated attempts on my side for a reasonable solution. Will keep you all posted regarding the outcome of the case if needed. If I win, all those with similar handsets form YU can claim compensaiton from them. YU has cheated customers in broad daylight. It is clear from the all the peoples' comments in this forum.

Hey, I had the same problem. I tried the hard reset method but the problem will arise again :( So I changed my battery of yutopia from a local repair center and the phone works fine (Y) I guess the main reason behind this issue is that YU play god (lol.. its really playing with us XD) Company has created their own battery, so i guess there is some kind of short circuit thing going on, in the battery. That is the reason why the phone gets into bootloop kinda thing...(turn off when the short circuit happens).. if you connect the charger then it works fine because now the phone is getting power directly from the charger(not from the battery). Hope this clarifies your doubt :)

An absoulutely trash device and the two reviewers Sumedh.D and NP Pal are fake reviewers praising this phone. Finally I got rid of this piece of trash and went for an iPhone SE. Good riddance, Micromax-Yu should be ashamed of themselves for selling such a low grade device to people. Even OnePlus and Xiaomi phones are thousand times better than this trash.

First of all, I have seen many of you are confused that all the reviews are real or fake but I am giving a real review as I have this phone around approx 6 months. 1st month phone works fine or you can say good but after this phone started switching off automatically. than I had given this phone at service center (Delhi) that have send phone to company .They told me that it will get repaired in just 10 days but they gave me phone( new replaced) after 21 days . then I had used it for 1 week but then again it started that same switching off problem then again we have to give that phone to service center they told me that they will change motherboard again my phone have gone for 21 days , then finally they gave me phone (old repaired) but it lasted 1 week and then same problem arises. I hope you can understand what anger I am holding in my mind, then again I have given my phone to service center but this time I have given them warning that I will sue against them as a customer harassment. still my phone is in service center , I am writing this review with my 3 years old Micromax phone. my faith for yu gone under my foot. I am not suggesting , I am warning you that don't buy yutopia but other phone of yu works well. I don't what the matter with only yutopia. (this is a real experience with yutopia)

10 Month User Experience : After 10 month use of YU YuTopia, I learn a lot of things. 1. Never buy YU product ! 2. After 10 months still no update ! 3. Finger sensor not working proper ! 4. No support of customer service , If face any big issue they simply we need to send your phone to YU Main center, even if you do .... the same result happen. 5. Donot purchase any YU devices (strictly). If u u want to purchase YU device then first visit the micromax service centers you will find many YU devices in service centers not micromax.. The head of service center is frustrated and they are planning not to take YU products in service center. After a month the device got returned from delhi as not repaired. They again sent to delhi and took a month again but device wasn't repaired..This happened for 5 months. Now I and the service center got really frustrated from this pathetic service.Then we applied for device to be replaced as it wasn't repaired so they sent my device for replacement in end of july and I havnt received the device till date ie month of October ending now. There isn't any clue about my device.I nearly wasted 500 rupees calling customer care in these months.It seems my 25000 is wasted.Now if I don't find any results in a month then my last option would be the consumer court. I purchased this January in next 4 month ...my Yutopia device started rebooting and evnually switched off ..I took it to the authorised centre in Mumbai. But my device was sent to Delhi for repairing... In fact all Yutopia devices are sent Delhi for repairing after 45-50 days they told me that they could find the reason for continuous rebooting issue .. Eventually they gave me a replacement . after using the new device for a month I am again experiencing the same issue ... I am really frustrated with the service and couldn't. Believe I paide 25k for this device ...... I have completely lost my faith in this brand ....my advice look for other better device

There are just two problems 1) is Yutopia a true Volte device which can work with reliance Jio sim without any VOIP application support 2) my nano sim is not working in my device, its showing sim2 is inactive, is it a hardware or software link problem. Yu Yutopia 9 Month User Review I have used the Yu Yutopia for 9 Months and have also read last comments of the Yutopia Opinions page and saw many fake reports, I will also clear a few of them. 1. Build Quality and Design (10/10): Robust and Beautiful. Metallic Unibody helps it from excess damage, this has already survived over 10 drops with absolutely NO damage. The Camera Lens and Saturn Rings falling off? Seriously? The Saturn Rings are Integrated and the Lens is a Largan 6P Integrated Lens. 2.OS and UI (10/10): I have used the Cyanogen to the FULLEST! I got 'That' dream OS/UI which I wanted on my LG G4 since ages! This also give more security compared to my old G4. I combined the feature I wanted from different Launchers. LOVE THIS! 3. Processing and Multi-Tasking (9/10): The SD 810 has degraded over time. Though has no heating at all! Performance is still much better than standard SD 810's like OP2, Huawei Honor 7, Nexus 6P. The processor processes games relatively faster than standard apps. 4. Heating: NONE! Barely crosses Human Body Temperature (37 C) on normal usage and yesterday when I checked on Multi-Tasking Asphalt 8, NFS : Own the City and GTA San Andreas, it was 39.4 C, appreciable as this is a SD 810 with METAL body! 5.Display (10/10): Lovely, except for flickering at 80+ fps, excellent! 6.Audio (9/10) : House of Marley speakers are lovely, even after 9 Months! I wanted to give 10/10, but Speakers aren't Dual Channel, a slight displeasure (NO Phone has this feature though!) 7.Camera (9/10): While capturing, it might show a very blurry and unclear image, the solution is to take the Camera far from point of Focus and bring it close slowly, once it focuses properly... Fingerprint Sensor (8.9/10): The score is the accuracy of the Sensor, 89% is JUST lovely! Improved over time. This is also Yu's first Fin-Prin Sensor attempt. 10. Sensors (10/10) 11. Battery (9/10): On moderate usage- 1-1.5 hours gaming and average usage throughout day, it comes for 1 day easily. Charges very quick too. Charge retention increased marginally! 2-3 Hr of Stand-by use up just 1% and sometimes 0% as well! Average Score- 9/10 I only mentioned the changes or highlights as the phone showed not much change from 2nd Month. (2nd Month review on older pages) Final Verdict:. Excellent phone! Is worth a 25,000 if low-quality, over-hyped and false-advertised Apple and Samsung are worth 1 Lakh or 80,000. This is much more worth than other brands like Lenovo, Xiomi, HTC etc. which too come at about same prices.

I am crying literally after having this phone spending a quarter lakh of hard earned money. After few days of purchase my camera cover fell down. and after 3 month of use mobile got automatic formatted at least 5 times. Then i was unable to switch on the mobile even though it was full charged. Mobile can not be serviced in Bangalore hence Bangalore service centre sent it to Delhi and the lead time was 45 days. I am doing follow up from past 15 days and every time they are telling 6 to 7 working days. I request please return our hard earned money. We will never call you back.

The Most Pathetic Phone I ever purchased. I received the phone in January 2016 and submitted to micromax service centre after two months as the phone was dead... even the bettery used to show 80% but the phone was not working ... after so many calls and emails they sent my device back to service centre in July 2016 ... and after 15 days again it is having same problem ... now it is having more problems and the phone is not even statting , ......it's disgusting to have such a phon...e it is big failure of the company to laungh such useless product at such high prise which is equal to iphone, the company must take the model back from the customer and do some face saving and refund the heard earned money of customers ........Amazon is not even helping in this matter, they should stop selling YU products if the also want to have good image... EXCUSE ME! Apple's Security is more of a hoax than Android's!! HELL! Enough of lies! All our Fin-Prins going to the NSA, iCloud leak (a planned leak!), Siri reveling Passwords of users till iOS 7.1 are all worse than nearly ZERO such cases with Android? Seriously Apple fanboy? iOS is not better at RAM Management, but the case is - iOS Turns Off while using some other apps! Android doesn't therefore during Multi-Tasking, in iOS, ONLY ONE app works (the one being used) and Android keeps all open for one app to access others and that's why iOS takes time while shifting apps and Android doesn't. iOS Apps feel more polished as they are made just 80% by a developer and 20% by Apple for optimizing for it's phones abilities and features are removed or deleted if they are incompatible. That's why iOS Apps have lesser options and modes in a Game as compared to Android!

You can't compare android with ios because ios would smack android from every corner. Also ios is more stable and ram management on ios is way better than that of android. Reason why android uses big rams to Keep their system running smooth but even with that you would still face leaks making its way in. Many people on here are saying google is more secured than iCloud but that's completely false. Android is more like an open source for any developers to work their way, which is why its less secured while the iPhone doesn't allow this and is more of a closed system. But having said that both of these are still hackable but it's more complicatedto do so on ios than to those of android. So if privacy is your concern then ios should be bette. Also ios apps are more polished and overall quality are better.

After reading many reviews and too many of the opinions already posted here I have come up with a brief summary of this for anyone wanting a bit more info. 1. Ignore anything posted about other phones, it's your decision. People blabbing on about how it's rubbish with no explanation and telling you to go for phones for untrue reasons. To clear up - Moto is not the most stable, iOS is not secure, Windows is an acquired OS. 2. For the price these specs are actually very good. However if you are in the US or UK you will have to import which will incur an added cost. 3. The design is reminiscent of Huawei's current crop, which is no bad thing. Aside from the camera set up, of course. 4. There seem to be a couple of repeat flaws with this setup. The chipset is known for overheating under heavy loads - moderate users claim no problems however. The fingerprint sensor seems to lag, it does not affect anything else and is avoidable by simply turning it off. The camera does not give out spectacular images, so don't expect Sony quality images. This does not mean the images are not very good though. Final words; the battery is being wasted unnecessarily by the 2k screen and the side buttons are too close together but, overall, this is a well rounded package and is worth considering.

MAN! Could you just STOP! Advertise you Apple and Samsung in their respective pages! Stop preventing people from buying this phone just because you have had a bad experience! You don't even let ANYONE tell their good experiences and don't let people try this and give an updated review! Maybe your device being a part of the first batch was faulty or might have had some problems of manufacturing! It is impossible to make a 1080p camera shoot 4k JUST by a software, it is impossible, the Camera Sensor should give support! The level of security of iPhone is all exposed by iCloud leak, Siri telling password to people on request and other things! Blackberry is a closed brand already and is trying to get in again by making some stupid Gimmicks. Asus Jade Primo is a good option as it has the BEST OS! Motorola phones are absolute shit! This brand (Motorola) has no specialty as a whole and just keeps making random phones with no freaking idea! Every brand focuses on something to keep as constant (Lenovo-Battery, Yu- HD and above screens, Asus- Intel) whereas this does simple shit! Huawei is a completely irresponsible brand and didn't care to do anything for it's customers when they received broken units!

I can't tell if people are giving fake reviews or what! I am still using my Yutopia (4 months passed) and still it works like a Gem. This has given no problems till now except for that it takes time to turn the screen on by the Fin-Prin Sensor, so I completely shifted to Standard Lock. Screen has never shown irresponsiveness.

Don't go for Yu Yutopia. This device is all show and no go. Better go for iPhone 5S 32GB model, it's available for quite cheap right now and you can install Procam 3 on it to record 4K videos. It is highly secured, stable and works way smoother than its Android and Windows Phone powered competitors. If you really want an Android device then get a Moto X Style, it's one of the most stable Android device in its price range and the speakers on this device are excellent. However if you are okay with a big 6 inch device then you can try Nexus 6 too, it's as stable as Moto X Style, it's a Nexus device so it has better support from Google and it's speakers are even better than Moto X Style, although I admit that it's a bit bulky. Other than those devices you can wait a little more time for Acer Jade Primo which is a affordable but highly powerful Windows 10 Mobile phone with Continuum support which lets you use your phone like a PC. You get a free Continuum dock with it too. Other than that you can spend some more and get a BlackBerry Passport if you are okay with wide devices but then don't blame me if you get too much addicted to BlackBerry Hub,its state of art sound quality and the touch sensitive trackpad keyboard. It is as secured as iOS devices but it isn't restrictive like them.

Safari is really bad man! Don't tell me! I have used the iOS 8 Safari and the number of bugs it has is close to million! BTW, I never spoke about it being smooth or if it runs with hurdles, though Safari loads fast or whatsoever, it is full of bugs which makes it damn irritating. I think the only Safari browser you've tried is the old deprecated one available for Windows PCs which was just plain horrible. You can babble around whatever you want, everyone knows what kind of Virus and malware ridden piece of trash Android is and Google drive is way more unsafe than iCloud. And the news that the picture of Bangalore man's wife used for Apple campaign that you quoted is half truth. It was a part of "Shot on iPhone" campaign where picture sent by multiple people are selected by lucky draw to be used in Apple ad, for this one needs to use the share via iCloud service to send their entries, I highly doubt that you had ever used an iPhone before because there is a huge difference between sharing via iCloud with others and uploading to iCloud. Looks like you are way too clueless to understand it. The only reason iCloud leaks were so publicised because they were leaked private images of actors and pop stars. Google drive is infamous for phishing scams which steal all data, Google supports NSA spying so all your photos, contacts and videos are literally open to NSA if you use an Android. Even antiviruses available for Android keeps on pushing random ads. Android browser is often attacked by malware. Yes I know there have been iCloud leaks but at the same time the leaks and scams of Google drive are far more disastrous. 1. I never confirmed that there is Garbage Band in Android, I just guessed as one of my friends was talking of installing it on an Android device. Garbage Band has features but I can't risk my security with Apple. EVER! 2. Micromax did have excellent quality, once it's no. customers started falling down, even it lost it's zeal to innovate and make new things. I can prove it to you by the difference in Quality of Micromax Canvas Knight and Micromax Canvas Pulse. I have used many Micromax devices, I can see the difference in Hardware strength, Hardware Quality, Software Stability and EVERYTHING else. During the phase of Knight's release, Micromax was India's No.1 Brand in India and World's 9th Biggest Brand (First Indian Brand and First Brand in world to reach World Top 10 with sales in ONLY one country), and now it has very less sales, despite the EXCELLENT Quality of the Knight, Selfie, Gold etc., it lost sales. Went to service centre in Mumbai...they asked me remove the back cover....when i said it couldnot be removed they looked at me sarcastically....They asked for charger and spent the entire day trying to charge it when i kept saying it is not charging....24 hours later told me that they wud hve to send it to the "company".... trying to make job sheet electronically their database did not show YU5050 model hence they made manual and said that they would request the model no from the "company" and give me a electronic jobsheet no...24 hours has gone still no reply....Although when I wrote in the YU forum I wa called by a customer care person who told me to put the electronic jobsheet no as soon as i would get it so that they could look into the issue....Keeping my fingers crossed.....

Stop spreading lies, Android doesn't have GarageBand, on Android the only proper alternative is Stagelight which is again not as good as GarageBand in terms of features and refinement. And speaking of Indian companies, well no out hates Indian brands but the problem is that the Indian brands don't ensure good quality control, devices from Indian brands like Micromax, YU are full of software bugs and their hardware is of substandard quality. They aren't as refined as their competitors. No one wants a inferior quality product. I never said iOS is better. iOS does have it's exclusive apps like the PhotoShop Sketch and others which you specified and also as far as I know, I guess Android also has Garbage Band.... And also Android has it's exclusive Apps like Adobe PDF Reader, Adobe Flash Player, support for a few things like IR Blaster, VR Headsets. There you go again, once again you proved your cluelessness by calling GarageBand a mere guitar practice app. Well for your kind information GarageBand app is not just for guitar practice, you can record guitar and bass riffs, synth tunes, add programmed drums and plethora of other musical instruments and also add vocals to it to create full fledged songs and publish them to iTunes store, and best part you can do all these things straight on your phone and your music project gets synchronised with the GarageBand app on your Mac. No matter what you say there is no equivalent app for Android which can do even half of what GarageBand does. Just because you are not competent enough to sketch and make music doesn't make these apps useless. You know what Android is okay for people who don't do much things in their life, for example a IT guy who spends most of their time in office won't need GarageBand and Adobe Photoshop Sketch, but there are also people who like to sketch and make music on the go and for them iOS makes much more sense. We too have apps for Guitar practice, Dance learning and in fact there are apps which instruct you Step-by-Step to get abs and there is also one app where you can input a few steps or moves of your dance and you can do them following the person/ animation for learning it. Yes, I don't know what Photoshop Sketch is as I am barely interested in animation and my drawing is like 'YUCK'. And also, Android is an ultimate OS which can run ANYWHERE for you! Do you even know what Adobe Photoshop Sketch is mate, it's not a photo editing software, it's a feature rich sketching software, it is extremely good for sketch artists and online cartoon and meme makers, the Android alternatives of it are absolute waste. Other than that on iPhone one can compose his own music by iRig and GarageBand, you can plug your guitar, emulate amps and effects, you can even add programmed drums to your track, try to do the same on Android you got no option. Some apps aren't found in the Play Store as most Apps have tie ups in Android and Android has tonnes of features which it's Stock Camera, Stock browser can do. With the stock camera, we can do Professional Editing, why need a Space-Sucking Photoshop? The Stock Browser can play Shock Wave files, what point in installing that Space-Sucking Flash Player? Stock Google App and some other Apps like Maxthon (Browser) can scan QR and Bar Codes, why install another space sucker? Yes, few Apps may not be available, I never said that you are going to get EVERY F******G App in the Universe. A few Apps are iOS exclusive, we can't do anything for that. The biggest drawback of Cyanogenmod phones are, they are full of bugs. Every second app crashes and malfunction now and then, which is quite irritating. The biggest turnoff for me is Cyanogenmod's crashing UI (every 2-5 seconds sometime), dialer malfunction, and sometime does not show the apps present on your SD card for which you have to take a reboot of your phone in order to get them appear on your phone. One Plus X would have been a better option in terms of OS stability.

Other than that games like Sam & Max:Beyond Time and Space, Monkey Island Tales, Monkey Island Special Edition Series are not available on Android. It is completely dependent on you, One Plus Two has only one good point over Yutopia (according to me), that is a better Software Stability. Yutopia gave me a very good experience and I loved it, but it is not going to give you the most 'Bug-Free' Experience like a few phones which are a lot focused ONLY on software and invest a lot on Software than anything else. I have seen many of them comparing like this.Android benchmarks apps is just to compare with android phone and ios benchmark app is just to compare with apple phones and you cant compare both of them.if you have any doubt check out antutu benchmark of apple you cant find any android phones in that ranking list.scores are just an indicator and testing condition is also diffent in both platform.

Yes, I was serious while typing this, but when did I say that Android Store=App Store or, if you want to say that both are equal, you are faking! I can't get a damn app according to the need! Whereas, in Android, if I search for one thing, a million options are available to get EXACTLY what I need. Yes, I agree that Custom UI and ROM's lead to viruses but don't blame Android alone as iOS also has a Jail-Breaking (Same as Rooting of Android) which too exposes it to viruses and threats but doesn't allow free OS changing (just let's you roll back to previous iOS), whereas in Android, that threat allows at least a Customizable UI, the threat at least has a reason unlike iOS. And if you are a tech enthusiast, I advice you to leave benchmarks! Benchmarks don't suggest even the smoothness of the OS! They just calculate timing of processing, benchmarking is shit. If one point more to be considered, iOS is an incomplete OS and lags at almost all places, if you take a keen observation in your iPhone, you can see that it ALWAYS takes slightly more time to come to the Multi-Task view or go to Home Screen than do other tasks and while benchmarking, it takes all time in the world to go to the Home Screen which directly hints that the OS has Shut-Down for Benchmarking or other tasks. My Yutopia has a lesser benchmark than the iPhone 6S, but it feels more customizable, comfortable and also usable. The iPhone 6S has nothing attractive except the 'Force Touch' which can be achieved on Android with the Solo launcher

I have asked them for a solution they told me they will replace the phone within 48 hrs and its been more than 5 days and I haven't received any reply from their end. Buy YU phones at your own risk.

I own an iPhone 5s, I bought this phone called Yu Yutopia just to try how does it feel like. And guess what now I'm pissed off with it. The guys who made this junk essentially devoured my money. So I have right to be pissed off at them and bash this piece of junk. They say it got a 21 megapixel camera but guess would mate the 8 megapixel camera of my iPhone 5s is leagues ahead of the so called 21 megapixel camera on this phone. It has 4 gigs of RAM but guess what my iPhone 5s with just 1 gigs of RAM multitasks way better than this phone. This phone doesn't connect to my Mac so transferring file pictures and music is absolute pain. But on my iPhone I can simply synchronise all my pictures and music with my Mac without much work. No matter what others say, this phone can be never compared to an iPhone. And about the price factor, well go to Paytm and you can buy the 32GB iPhone 5s for just 25K after cashback, so why would anyone buy this phone. Just buy the iPhone 5s.

I called up 3 of my friends with their phones.Their phones were Samsung Galaxy J7, Lenovo P1 and the other guy has some Xiaomi, he never reveals it's model name. I sent them a huge review on a Group Message on Hike and after they came, I also sent that review to my old G4 and my Sis's iPhone. Then, I copy-Pasted it on FB, I told all of them to post it AT Once, the Yutopia did it first! The Yutopia also did the following first, Open Minecraft, Install High-End game (Asphalt 8), Connect to Wi-Fi network (I 'Forget'ed the WI-Fi pwd on all devices and re-typed and told all to click at once.). VoLTE is also usable. The BT is some kind of God's Magic! This connected and successfully took 3 photos from an iPhone! NO Phone has EVER done that! 9. Fingerprint Sensor (7.5/10): The score is the accuracy of the Sensor, 75% is acceptable as my sister's iPhone 5 (Apple's first Fingerprint attempt) has less than 40%. This is also Yu's first attempt. 10. Sensors (10/10): Very accurate! Has every sensor! For sure this aids gaming to the core. 11. Battery (9/10): On moderate usage- 1 hour gaming and average usage throughout day, it comes for 1 day easily. Charges very quick too. For those idiots who told that this should get Quick Charge 3.0, go to the Qualcomm website and check, SD 810 doesn't support QC 3.0, then from where the '**' would Yu get Quick Charge 3.0 Average Score- 9/10 Final Verdict:. Excellent phone! Is worth a 25,000 if low-quality, over-hyped and false-advertised Apple and Samsung are worth 1 Lakh or 80,000. This is much more worth than other brands like Lenovo, Xiomi, HTC etc. which too come at about same prices.

Build Quality and Design (10/10): Robust and Beautiful. Metallic Unibody helps it from excess damage, this has already survived over 10 drops with absolutely NO damage. The Camera Lens and Saturn Rings falling off is a 100% rumor, the Saturn Rings are Integrated and the Lens is a Largan 6P Integrated Lens. 2.OS and UI (10/10): I have used the Cyanogen to the FULLEST! I got 'That' dream OS/UI which I wanted on my LG G4 since ages! This also give more security compared to my old G4. I combined the feature I wanted from different Launchers. LOVE THIS! 3. Processing and Multi-Tasking (10/10): Yes, as many people say, NOT a True SD 810. Has no heating at all! Performance is also much better than standard SD 810's like OP2, Huawei Honor 7, Nexus 6P. the before mentioned out of the box interface is indeed better off changed right away. apart from that the "underwelming" sensation is nothing less than this beast not using its full potential yet.heating problems i,ve not had since I dont game on any phone. use a dual xeon 64gb for that and that has never let me down. but heh, thtas no phone no ? phone wise and economic wise this is the direction to go. best value for its money. nice & sleek phone. Smart on their part, since most of us common users will need more than that time to figure out how we've been swindled off 25 K. Heating issues- Yes. Very disturbing at times. As per their advice I reset the phone- you know how much time & date consuming it is to keep resetting at every whim of theirs. The only hope to redeem all these harrowing things is to wait for Yutopia-2. Probably even that is a trap. 25 THOUSAND for an over-promised brick. The WORLD'S MOST POWERFUL HEADACHE. One doesn't spend 25 K on a device and expect to have pathetic experience in less than a MONTH of use. I'm planning to go to the service center. Either replace it or give refund. If it doesn't work, gather a few suffers together (obviously, many are trapped) and even consider taking legal route. 25 K is a BIG amount to be swindled off for a mobile like this. YU has broken customer trust BIG time with this and deserve to pay for the indifferent attitude. What say ?

Please write on the yu support forum so that your phone can get replaced. The wifi issue you are facing same I am facing it's quite annoying. I think you have got a defective piece just like me. Or its possible that manufacturer thought that our core customers won't use wifi so they put a low quality antenna.

Very exciting hardware, and was very excited to own a made in India phone, but am quite disappointed after using it for a little more than a month, tried to return it but am too late for it now, don't know what to do with this phone now??? Very bad battery life, but charges quickly, have to charge it twice a day with my usage. Excellent screen display. The worst and most glitchy touch screen experience you could have. For no apparent reason you will suddenly find that the phone can not detect your SIM card. Very decent camera. Wifi connection is also a little glitchy, at times it's quite annoying. I will not ever buy a yu phone again, before I had also decided to go for the yutopia 2 when it gets launched. Am an Indian at heart, so I really want this company to do well, but have lost confidence now. A suggestion if anyone important in the company is listening, announce a return policy like return in 1-2 months get back x% return in 3-4 months get y% back. It would show your commitment to your product and will scare people like me a lot lesser to ever again experiment with your brand.

i havent wrote any fake comment. there are lots of issue i faced in my yutopia. thats why i returned it. camera is not upto the mark. performance is not like sd810. shown some lags in 3-4 days. fingerprint scanner is pathetic. lots of bug in UI. No update of cynogene 13 is currently available for Yutopia. so you are writing everything fake to support yutopia. please dont misguide others to waste their money. 25000INR is not small amount to waste on this shitty phone.

I had bought this phone with great hopes but the phone is having many issues. The phone does't supports camera2 api, finger print sensor is not good, some times phone doesn't recognises touches especially the on screen home touch buttons , unstable wifi , even when device is very close to router (1 to 2 feet) the wifi reception is very poor it loses the signal automatically and catches after sometime means it works intermittently. Sometimes it work fine for 15 to 20 minutes and loses signal after that but sometimes it is horribly unstable loses signal every now and then I checked it with other routers and other phone hotspots but it doesn't resolves. I have tried every possible way to resolve it like hard resetting the phone to using in safe mode etc. But the problem exists. One most important thing , the service is worst of a kind I have seen in the history of smartphone manufacturers till date no resolution, made many threads on yu forum called many times the customer care but no resolution till date.

This phone is known for keeping SD 810 V1 under perfect control on temperature even on Hardest Performance. This has a special grease, 7/8 holes on top & bottom of phone for heat release 2.The Saturn Ring came out on Day 2-3 with glue still wet! THIS IS THE BIGGEST lie! ANY glue (Epoxy, FeviBond, FeviStick,FeviQuik) sticks is any condition and gets dry within 1 Hour and your glue is wet after about 1 Week of Manufacture!(Phones are manufactured over 1 week vefore delivery and also Yutopia is made much more before it's deliveries because it has registration to buy) 3.The phone has not hung in my experience, any review or anything. And you say that the phone hung and didn't get normal EVEN on restart! WAH! It is IMPOSSIBLE and IMPRACTICAL! With a restart ANY phone gets normal, if it doesn't, they you've installed some Malware or Affecting software 4.Fast charging isn't great? Remember this is Fast Charge 2.0 Only, not 3.0 and this phone doesn't have USB-C. but still, 30 Mins for 60% is great 5.Battery is great? That's the only problem I had with this phone! It runs only 1 Day with moderate usage Premium looks and House of Marley headphones are great and F-Print Sensor is smooth, these are only the true things, maybe lag is also true, but it doesn't reach upto THAT mark which you said. I have used many Apple devices and also have found out why they have good performance. Reasons why Apple gets better performance: 1. It's OWN OS which stops upto 95% to enhance performance in app. The Home Screen 2. No Jailbreaking or Rooting process can help you uninstall or install iOS from/ in a device, which means iOS runs ONLY on Verified Devices and can't go off Verified Devices 3. Apple rechecks and customizes ALL apps to the level of it's phone's abilities etc before letting it into the App Store 4.Everyone agrees that iOS is not a complete OS. The phone is just good on papers. Take everything best and put it all together, doesnt make the phone good. I used it for 5 days and returned back due to defective piece. Reason: The phone heats up, even when on standby (company gives a plastic case in the box, which surely shams the heat.) The Saturn ring of the camera came out within a couple of days, with the glue still wet. Pathetic. The flash cover was on the floor then. luckily I could find it. On day 3 of usage, the phone hung and was not normal even after 15 - 20 restarts. I had to factory reset the phone. The fast charging isnt that great. It takes more than 30 mins for those 60% charge. Battery, premium looks and Headphones from House of Marley are the best. Luckily I didnt have issues with the fingerprint sensor and it worked like a butter for me. The biggest let down was the camera. 21mp is a joke. Even my Nokia N8 takes better pictures even now. Low light images are highly pixelated. And if you zoom in, the pics are very unclear. You dont expect that from a 21 mp camera. What helped me make up my mind to end my association with Yu, was the pathetic after sales service. The company claims for 15 working days replacement warranty. My wife's phone (Yu Yureka) is dead since 2 months now. Even after following up with Yu for the replacements, they just give you dates that you have to wait for. They have some technical issue that doesnt seem to resolve for ages.

Mi 5 is at any day better than Yutopia? It is rumored itself with a lower front Camera Resolution, Worse battery (It is a Li-Po and Yutopia has a High-Density Li-po which is 10% better), lesser resolution screen, Same memory and RAM. Now a phone will get lesser than expected (in many cases). If you say getting an older SoC is useless with a newer SoC in view, then WHY the HECK do people buy SD 801 of Mi 4? SD 806 of LG? Old Chipsets of MediaTek etc? Is it that only Yutopia is NOT to be opted for having older (Just 1 Year, and also the most powerful at this moment) chipset? Man don't be SO impractical and judgmental! mi4 was also high end phone from xiomi. mi5 is coming with snapdragon820 which will be better than this 810. if you said wait for update and then buy, it doesnt make sense in buying such old soc if new one is available in nearly same price. so yutopia is neither a good option to buy now nor in future after updates as you said. and yes mi5 could also have some issues but it is not much mentionable if you are comparing it with yutopia since it also had lots of issues. but specwise mi5 will any day be better than yutopia.

This phone is absolutely junk, and this guy NP Pal is obviously some kind of sales agent working for YU. The camera is pathetic and all photos have a yellowish tinge, the build quality is absolutely rubbish, the phone is plagued with bugs, it overheats like hell, the black circular disc around the camera just peeled off on its own. The fingerprint sensor ain't that accurate and don't go by that high screen resolution because as far as colour, contrast ratio and vividness is considered the screen quality is just pathetic. The loud speaker quality is just plain horrid. I was so fed up that once I went to a YU Authorised Service Centre and shouted on the phone repairing guy, and literally threw this phone at them in a fit of rage, seriously I'm pissed off with this phone and this brand. If you are planning to buy this phone it would be a better idea to just take your money and put it on fire. I regret this stupid micromax/YU.I bought for first time it is great but then after 4 month the problem start with fingerprint and sound speaker.the camera not great enough even it has ois and sony sensor.front and rer camera for me are suck,my previous LG g3 have better camera even more beautiful at night.yutopia have worst image at night :( maybe about the bug.company should update and fix it.the battery is okay for me and the design is good,the price not that cheap.I sell it and bought zte Nubia z9 mini and the camera are far better both rear and front but battery is so-so but design are better.not satisfied about micromax,they should learn to make a good quality and update even xiaomi has better quality.

And also I STRONGLY believe that the Yutopia's update will surely make it better than ALL phones out there. Do you even know how 3D Touch works? And also it is not easy to Uninstall Apps in 3D Touch, I found NO Uninstall option on the Home Screen! Which means we must Uninstall it from the Settings. And the iPhone's 3D touch will be available in almost ANY Android device with apps like Alpha/Solo/Arrow launcher. So the iPhone's 3D Touch is not 'SO' unique!!

Hi, The Yutopia is the best phone of the season without any doubts. It's been a month now to have had this phone and the performance is so good. No lag what so ever. The fingerprint sensor is so good and not even once did I experience a issue. The front and the rear camera images are amazing and the front camera can be rated better than the rear. Amazing selfies!!! However, the biggest trouble with the phone is the battery life. Even with the power-saver mode the battery isn't good to last a day. It's a shame that this couldn't be boosted with some kind of software. Yu please take note of this....

I know Yutopia has many bugs at this moment but you should not tell people to completely 'NOT' buy this, you should on the other way, suggest them to buy after a few months where it gets it's CM 13 or Android Marshmallow Update (Because we know Yu's updates..... Hii guys Before i start i was a big fan of YU coz of the on paper specs that nobody can deliver at that price. Later i hated that brand soo much after purchasing YUTOPIA..maybe their first flagship but it is a crapy device..lots of bugs..heating issues..and there r other basic things that updates can't fix... 1- The vibration motor is soo bad u cant feel any calls while driving. 2- loud speaker volume is bad..u have a good display but u cannot enjoy any content on this device coz of the volume 3- everyday u come up with a new bug..i dnt knw wat they are gonna do in their updates 4- There is not even a word from our Rahulsharma after the release..this doesn't mean to other people but customers loves to hear after support. Sincerely guys i got this mobile with my first salary..yeah it has some pros like Good screen..sound quality through earphones...the cons actually beat the pros with a large margin for this device it disappointed me like anything...thank god i returned it back..and thanks to amazon for their return policy. Those who still support device...my sincere advice don't lead the people in the wrong way..everybody's money is hard earned.. Finally don't buy u will end up frustrated and disappointed..instead choose some better devices. Thank u

Bro, every brand should get recognition, Yutopia is the first trial of Yu for making a performance device and has succeeded (On paper), there are bugs because this is the first performance phone, for both, Yu Televentures and also for Cyanogen. Fingerprint sensor is also maybe a first for Cyanogen and is the first for Yu. Samsung, Apple etc. have worked on Fingerprint Sensors since over 2 years and that's why they get it right. Everyone needs time to study and improvise things... If you wouldn't encourage Samsung's first Fingerprint sensing smartphone, would it give a second thought for improvisation. I know you have a bad experience with Yutopia, but let others get it and know, maybe some will like it, and who knows whether you got a faulty piece or what!! There is no faith in China for me (and the first batch of Yutopia is Made in China), the Chinese workers may do anything! I suggest to give importance to old brands and as well encourage new brands to make better phones, else people will never dare to start new smartphone brands

I prefer Yutopia over iPhone 5S 16 GB, but I feel if you are an Apple user, go for Apple, as you would firstly hate Android and also Yutopia is still the first Ultimate Phone that Cyanogen (A Kind of an Android Manager, helps optimization) is handling and also the first Ultimate phone from Yu, so it is still kinds of 'Kaccha' or 'Raw', so it's update would be making it well and fine which is scheduled to be around March-May, better buy this then than buy this now and complain a lot. If you are an Android user and want something good, go for something in Micromax Canvas 5 or Micromax Canvas Pulse 4G or any other from Micromax Canvas Series or even from Yu (They are quite awesome).

I think there is something wrong with your fingerprint ( pun intended) ;-) !! Coz my device is okay in detecting fingerprint ....And one thing ...while scanning for a new fingerprint addition ...do scan the edges of the finger well ...coz mostly , as I have seen from reviews , people just RUB the same spot of the finger continually .. I have a nexus 6 and used it for about a year until I bought Yutopia . Nexus 6 used to be a troublesome device to begin with - Low Battery life , camera ...etc but after lollipop 5.1.1 and marshmallow update the Device got so much better ....I got an antutu score of 74500 outta it .. My initial impression of yutopia was bad ..So much hangup ..I got frustrated and almost ended up returning it , until I saw the REAL horsepower of the Device ..I opened up ALL of my apps..About 50 of them ..together and was browsing using 3 different Web Browsers simultaneously each with 5 tabs open in the desktop site mode .... And YOU KNOW WHAT ....FOR THE FIRST TIME I SAW YUTOPIA BEING ULTRA SMOOTH .... Something my nexus 6 wasn't able to do .. My 'Weak' 2 Mbps WiFi got divided into 3 Browsers and one YouTube video ...But I DIDNT FACE EVEN THE SLIGHTEST LAG .... AMAZING!!!!! So you guys go BadMouth Yutopia or Return your phone Or buy 1+2 ...I am keeping it !!!! :-))

No one can be sure because it is not Yu who actually gives the updates, it is Cyanogen that develops the updates, he hasn't made Cyanogen 13 (Android Marshmallow) available to any devices right now. So, we are hoping to see the update after a week after Cyanogen hands it over to Yu (That's what it did with the Cyanogen 12.1 update on the Yureka, Yureka Plus and Yuphoria)

I've told that the update of Marshmallow will resolve all the bugs on this phone because of what happen to the Yureka and Yuphoria. They were released on Lollipop 5.0 (Cyanogen 12) (On which they too worked like 'shit') and after the Lollipop 5.1 (Cyanogen 12.1), the few bugs that Yuphoria had, got resolved and Yureka also became Excellent! The problem here is that the Yutopia is currently on the fresh specs for Cyanogen 12.1 and is probably also the first powerful phone for Cyanogen to handle. The Yunique was built on experience from Yuphoria. The Yuphoria also was bad on first launch, but got better with Cyanogen 12.1. The Yureka was not SO great but Yureka Plus was good (On same Cyanogen 12) due to experience of adapting the Cyanogen OS to it's device, and got EVEN better with the Cyanogen 12.1. And if you go on trusting old brands bro....... then when will Great and Capable Start-Ups like this go up? If trust was only given to Moto, Samsung, Apple and a few old ones, probably 4 GB RAM wouldn't be so common and at such low prices, Octa-Core would still be a dream of many common people, which are all made true by these so called 'LOCAL' or 'CHEAP' Brands. Samsung Galaxy S6 with worse specs is 40,000 and OP 2 with a BIT of lesser specs, is same price. These make GREAT phones at low prices (which MUST be appreciated) and also give acceptable servicing for their age (Yu is just 1 Year and 2 weeks old and most Indian Brands are less than 5 Years old. Compared to over 50 Years of Moto, Samsung, HTC etc.)

This is a good phone, but ONLY if you are patient enough to wait for the Marshmallow (Cyanogen 13) update. Now, the phone isn't that great, but I assure it will (Like other Yu phones did) work great after the update. You can opt for Sony Xperia if you can't wait so long (about 3 months for Cyanogen 13 to be available for Yu). I again say, opt for Yutopia ONLY if you can be patient for Cyanogen 13 (else don't buy and give negative review like a few fools do)

I am not an agent, I just appreciate Yu a lot for it's way of making mobiles, it is just a start-up (1 year and 12 days old) and you people go crazy comparing it to old and experienced companies like Samsung, Motorola etc which were making smartphones since ages and don't treat it the way it must be. I do have practical knowledge, but we should be wise enough to compare a brand to others of it's age, experience, budget etc., not just going on doing anything. cynogen gives nice customization options but it gives lots of irritating bugs here & there. performance is also not well optimized. started showing minor lags. fingerprint is bad. hardly works. everytime takes 4-5 attempts. camera is also poor in low light & indoor. build quality is nice but little slippery without cover provided with handset. performance is not optimized properly. onpaper specs are great but struggles in real life.

Well, I have heard and watched youtube video reviews on this phone, and camera is far better, battery is good, overall build quality is good. The things that this phone lacks, or cons of this phone are, its cynogenmod, well I am not a fan of cynogen mod, however i have used it on my phone which is xperia z. due to lots and lots of bugs, we get regular updates, however everything fixed..is not sure. Some or the other problem will arise in cynogen rom as it's a custom ROM afterall and made by Cynogen mod team. I am not blaming this or trying to say bad..just a general thought. Also, I have heard that cynogen 10 was the best..before lollilop so i would have preferred this phone with kitkat rather then lollilop as its lots of buggy, in a recent video of gaming i saw dual video of gaming which is a bug..cannot play properly, 2 screens coming at a time of the game, finger print sensor not at all responsive, adaptive display after being turned on, doesnt go off when we acutally try to turn off. so, I probably need to wait more for better phones..this is not worlds powerful phone for sure..not even close..sorry yutopia..but that's the fact.

Bro, I have used MANY Apple devices and I am saying with all the Apple experience I have, I used 3 iPads, 4 iPhones, and a MacBook Pro for 1 day....(I always got those as gifts, never bought those SHITTY devices) The iPhones I used.... 1.iPhone 4S- It got damaged the very first day. My mom kept it under her pillow and slept, the next day......SURPRISE, it didn't respond and work!! 2.iPhone 4S (Again!!)- I used this a bit care fully this time. But, it Damn It couldn't manage 2 apps together (or one after the other), I had to remove the app from recent apps list else the next app used to crash!! BULLSHIT! 3.iPhone 6- The AirDrop feature failed in it! And I couldn't hear a call which my Dad was on (in the Driver seat) it on loud speaker from the Co-Drivers place too ! And who hasn't heard of the cases (in Delhi NCR) of iPhone 6's bursting into flames. 4.iPhone 5- It went well and fine for the first few days, but soon after a few days but soon it started to refuse to charge and broke with a fall from over the cars handbrake to the cubby beside it!! And include this problem in all the iPhones- the Bluetooth didn't work with any other devices except for Apple devices. Now the iPads I used, 1.iPad 2-This made me so frustrated that I broke it, it rejected my touch many times and hanged on crucial parts of games and a shock, it also hanged on browsing in Safari. 2.iPad 4- It was a big problem to me. I was upgrading it from iOS 7 to iOS 8, with the Desktop Assistant (iTunes) and after sometime, the Software in the iPad got uninstalled but the new one didn't install. And then my cousin had to spend a whole night to bring it back to normal. 3. iPad Air 2- It never got my fingerprint right and had a very bad fingerprint guessing rate (2 out of 5 times). The Mac had Goddamn no proper shortcuts that Windows had, I had to look on the net to find out its shortcuts for Cut-Copy-Paste, previous window etc.

Bro, I've used about 4 iPhones and 2-3 iPads (I got them as a gift, never bought those pieces of SHIT). Firstly, the iPhones I used. The first iPhone I used (iPhone 4S), broke on the very first day when my mom kept it under her pillow and slept. The second one (again an iPhone 4S), could goddamn NEVER manage 2 apps together, the apps always used to crash. The third one I used (iPhone 6), the feature of AirDrop failed to work with my iPad! The fourth one (iPhone 5C) was somewhat good during the first few weeks but broke on a drop from over the hand-brake of the car to the cubby beside it! And quite frequently failed to charge from the car charger and it also bugged A LOT me on usage of in-built apps!! Now, to iPads I used. The first iPad I used, (iPad 2) was PURE SHIT, it couldn't manage 2-3 small apps on iOS 8.1. The apps always used to give an error, saying ''The RAM on your device is insufficient for this app to run, please clear your device RAM''. The second one that I used (iPad 4) was also again... A SHIT, I tried upgrading from iOS 7 to iOS 8.1 with the desktop assistant (iTunes), it all of a sudden, the iPad didn't start and the OS wasn't upgrading..... My cousin brother had to work all night to get it back to normal. And later it still gave many bugs on the new OS (iOS 8.1). And as everyone knows...all the Apple devices don't support Bluetooth with other devices and the same happened with all the Apple devices I used.... And a new BUMPER OFFER, the Mac my uncle got for a day from his office... My uncle was offered a MacBook Pro for a week for test (if he wanted on for his office work). He tried doing a Copy-Paste work on the first day and after 5-6 times of failing (with Ctrl+C), he checked online for Copy-Paste Shortcut in Mac and then found out that it was Cmd+C! WTF! Now tell me how would I get a good impression on Apple?? HOW CAN I EVER??

Have you ever used Cyanogen before this?? If no, how can you think it to be as familiar as your previous OS. If you shift from Mac to Windows, you would feel it crap but actually Windows is perfect! That's what applies here too and Cyanogen is a bit for TechGeeks, not everyone will understand and like it. Not all cameras can manage in all conditions, this feels less clear because the screen is 2K, watch it on a 720p screen, it will feel heaven!! Sometimes Screen Resolution turns a rival to the camera performance and that is happening here. A Samsung S6's camera would look good on it's screen but for guarantee, it will look crap on LCD or other screens. Yutopia's camera will look good on others and will have good performance everywhere unlike others which look good only on their screens. People who are addicted to NFC and IR Blaster will miss it but many don't need it in India and this is made ONLY for India, so it may miss a few features which International Customers may need

yes camera is a con. camera of one plus 2 & moto x play are better as compared to this. cynogen has nice customizations but its not the best skin on android there are lots of skins which offers better performance as compared to cynogen. also cynogene has lots of bugs here & there. About NFC yes it is not much really useful in india but it comes really handy while pairing devices. Anyways its not big deal. But infrared is really missing. Its really useful everywhere. you can control tv, Ac, CD/DVD/ blue ray player almost any remote. Fingerprint scanner is not of any use. its just for telling peoples that my phone is having finger print scanner. But it hardly detects my fingerprint. may be 30-40% accuracy. Started unlocking phone by using pattern to save my time in false fingerprint scanner attempt. Also you are talking about optimizations & performance of cynogen. its completely pathetic. even having SD810 & 4gb ram device is started showing some lag only in 2 weeks. battery life is also average. nothing excetional. dont say that battery is high density. first know the things & then say. i am also yutopia user but now i regret for buying this crap.

Battery is a 3000mAH High-Density Li-Po, the 3000mAH does sound less but it is high-density and has Cyanogen Optimization. Cyanogen can NEVER be a con, it is the best ever skin for Android!!! SD 810 clocked @ 2 GHz is a bad performer for you? NFC is of no use in India... So why do you need it?? It can be used barely for file transfer right? Then What else is a con here???!!!

Not worthy for money ? Are you paying a million for this phone or what. It costs only 25k. NFC has very less use in india I do have NFC in my phone but i think i haven't used it more than 2 times till i bought it and that also for testing. And of course you will not get a 4000mah battery in a 5.2 inch phone with such a budget price. The camera is not a DSLR killer but is nice. I don't know why yu made such a decision in pricing this phone. If the price was kept 3 to 5k more no one would have asked any questions. I think whenever a thing is priced so low people think that there might be something fishy , it's not possible.....when people buy phones like apple ,why don't they ask themselves am I getting how much I am paying for. Does iphone 6 or 6s plus have ir blaster do they have screen resolution or PPI comparable to even yutopia. Does it have an expandable memory. Does it even have 3gb of ram. I know many people will argue it's software manages to do everything without the horsepower, electric cars like Tesla can run fast but can never beat the power and feel of a petrol car. And many will say oh 2k screen is just a gimmick our eyes can't differentiate after a certain PPI. But this is not true even when we compare 2k and 4k screen in mobile phones side by side we can see the little a bit of difference... ya if there is power it will heat a bit...ya if the processor has to push very high no. Of pixels its fps will be slow. So lets be practical. Nothing is perfect everything gets updated and upgraded for better user experience .....who knows after cyanogen os13 update maximum problems will get solved.. but I would say one thing about yu yutopia and yu, rahul sharma should tweet about the resolution of these minor problems so that, people can buy this phone with confidence as the brand is new....I don't give any opinion on buying any phone or not.....

Yes, Yu may have worked less on the F-Print Sensor maybe but you can also see the price of S6, note 4, etc. They are exceptionally OVER-PRICED!! Yes, Mx5 is an exception to having bad F-Print Sensor at low cost. And even Note 4 etc. ask you to scan F-Print about 10-15 times for perfection, which consumes time.

note 4 has a fingerprint sensor, totally functional since kitkat days..... galaxy s6 has a very fast fingerprint sensor, on lollipop still... xperia z5 has one of d best fingerprint sensor, still on lollipop..... forget d expensive phones, meizu mx5 fingerprint sensor is extremely fast and is yet on lollipop..... so d problem is not d android version, it might be a software bug or a hardware issue specifically in yutopia....

Tony, F-Print Sensor isn't available in Lollipop, Yu and Cyanogen have worked to make new F-Print Software. Marshmallow has official FingerPrint support. that is the reason this has a bad (not the worst) F-Print Sensor.

Noise after zooming is common because generally smartphones do not have optical zooming and also it depends on the ISO levels and mega pixel of the camera... what do you mean by laging. I don't think this phone should lag until otherwise rom is very low or in some special circumstances.you can use micro sd card if rom is getting low as you have stated you have installed a lots of apps. Phone can also lag if RAM gets low ,,,Remember this phone has 4gb DDR4 RAM , may be there is some bug in the software i would recommend you to use a software to boost the ram like DU BOOSTER OR CC CLEANER.

This phone have many awsome speces. it is better than moto x play.....cause is that moto x play only 2gb ram with snapdragon 615 and in another side yutopia have 4gb ram with snapdragon 810...so yutopia doing a best job of performance..... By the way 21mp camera with both packet doing a great job,but yutopia's camera is better because it has sony sensor with a 2 time resolution of full HD with 4k capture....

You said that no F-Print Sensor is OK from Moto X Play but I bet will beat the crap out of Yutopia if it lacked the FingerPrint Sensor. And an awesome thing I learnt from you, 2 GHz clock is low clock and 1.7 GHz of OP2 (competition to Yutopia) is good or great. And how can you judge Yutopia's performance without even using it. Yutopia's specs are not matchable with any other. As you have said the Snapdragon 810 used under the hood of yu yutopia is under clocked, which is a pitch black false statement. You can confirm from both gsmarena and rahul sharma that the processor used in yu yutopia runs at a deadly combination of two quad core processors @ 1.5 GHz and 2.0 GHz respectively its processor have same speed and specs as google nexus 6p. compare apples with apples not apples with oranges ok. Motorola moto x style is a nice phone but we can't compare Snapdragon 808 with sd810 and also adreno 430 is way ahead of adreno 418 used with Snapdragon 808. You know even Snapdragon 805 has better GPU than Snapdragon 808 as it has adreno 418 which is about 20 percent slower (at 600 MHz) than adreno 420 used in snapdragon 805. I would like if you you flash some light on camera storage and processor of one plus two and moto x style in comparison to yu yutopia . I have come to know that yu yutopia is having some issues with fingerprint sensor like it works only 6 times in 10 times usage and have come to know that this problem may get away with marshmallow update as lollipop ddin't had support for fingerprint sensor. So yu and cyanogen have made the software by their own for fingerprint sensor. Thanks

Put 100gb of 2k videos.. 20gb of songs and 7gb of apps and see how the iphone 6s 128gb starts laging . Oh iforgot to mention don't put 2k videos put hd only as that so called flagship iphone 6s has no 2k display. You can put Sandisk 200gb in yu yutopia like cheap phone and enjoy. I am not saying yu yutopia is flagship killer or so... but i can definately say that some people haven't got the phone and writing reviews about.... in any phone does't matter apple or samsung or lg if available rom gets below 1gb or so it will start laging when multitasking .so better use Micro sd card in phone which have small rom like yu yutopia as 32gb is not enough for hardcore users.... i don't own yu yutopia till date but I am thinking to get it soon........ its my opinion....

I agree with you. The phone is very tempting. The hardware, the features, the quality, sounds very tempting. But I would again suggest you not to buy this phone. The phone doesn't perform as well as the other Snapdragon 810 phones in the market. Not to mention the processor is under clocked compared to the competition. The Oneplus Two from my side is a good phone to consider when you are going for the price range of around 389$ or 25,000 rupees. But again, you cannot expect the phones to do amazing in every aspect cause there is obvious price cuts. If you would ask me, which phone I would want to buy for under 30K, I would recommend the Motorola Moto X Style. An amazing phone for the price. You have the customer service of Motorola. They also have worldwide technical support. This phone would be a safer choice. Yes it doesn't have USB C type nor does it have the 'necessary' fingerprint sensor, but I feel it makes it up by being and amazing phone everywhere else. I have already used the Oneplus 2 and the Motorola Moto X Style. And I must say that the Moto X lives upto the Motorola flagship standards. Do consider it when you are going to buy a phone at that price range.

I have 70 apps, 6 1080p movies, around 20 song videos, 3000+ photos, and over 2.5 gigs of songs. My iPhone 6S Plus doesn't lag. And I had a Note 4 a few months back. Never lagged when I did the same with it :)

In amazon.in, under list of sensors there isn't compass sensor, instead there is gravity sensor but in gsmarena.com, there is only compass sensor and no gravity sensor. The reason am pointing out is that, 360° videos only work if there is compass sensor and gyro sensor. So confused with sensor list. There's no heating in this phone. Those who are barking here about heating go get some mind. The temperature barely reaches 40. If you are in stable mode temperature lies somewhere in 35-38. And in performance mode when I was playing modern combat 5 for more than 35min nd when I checked the temperature it was the highest I noted was 41.9 . Afterall it have metallic body so I think 41.9 is acceptable. Camera is good. But not better than Iphone 6s. Battery lasts for around 15hrs on mix usage.

Pepple have started going defensive for this phone. Its expected when u pay 25K. But some suggestions for people planning to purchase.There is a difference between specs on paper and real time performance. Open reviews and complaints for earlier phones of this brand and u will find lot of issues. This company has low quality standards for sure. Older flagships will be any day better. Now u can get a Note 3 for 22K and Iphone 5s for 20K. They would be any day better in terms of real life performance and peace of mind. U will also be relieved to defend your 25k purchase. The best anology would be with cars. People do not buy a Force One SUV just because its engine is more powerful than Toyota. People see the real life performance. Sadly people buy phones just by their on paper specs and regret later. This brand has lot to cover in terms of quality. Definitely stay away at 25K price point.

Bro, I too know about this phone and have one (received it yesterday). I said you to clean the camera as sometimes dust etc. accumulates on lens which quite makes it a problem. I just said clean your screen coz many times, screen gets too rubbery kinds of which makes movements uneasy on the screen and I've faced it in almost every device, or put the screen guard which will prevent that rubbery feel and makes the screen smooth. What did I say so that sounds out-dated? That Turn off PDAF? Or clean the screen? PDAF is sometimes really annoying. And you need to clean the screen or it will look stupid.

Do you know the fact that Android is the WORLD'S MOST ATTACKED OS and with maximum Virus Probability within many and maybe even all apps. So, you can't just keep blaming phones for that. Many phones (almost 30 phones every minute or one phone every 2 second) fall prey to viruses in Android. So no blame to phone. And a new phone is just like a just-born, it needs time to get familiar yo your fingerprint, way of usage, frequency of opening etc. You should obviously wait for a week or so of usage before commenting. Turn off PDAF to get constant clarity, PDAF may keep changing focus without our knowledge. And 15-16 apps with two hardcore games is no play, even for SD810. Get some useless and large apps uninstalled or disabled. Then it will improve a bit and also change a few settings related to phone's performance

When did I say that you are a paid reviewer?? I just said you are saying it wrong, I forgot your post, so let me tell you solution to your problem or reason why it is there. About the screen, you can change the screen temperature(Yellow-White-Blue) in settings. clean the camera before taking photo and let Phase-Detection Auto-Focus(PDAF) change it's focus before clicking a pic or turn off PDAF for better clarity and instant clear pictures, no problem of Auto-Focusing. Get a better browser, maybe UC, Opera or something else which are proven to be good, but NEVER go for Chrome, delete it if you are using it. You can change ringtones from preset/default ones to the ones you like. Clean the display once with cloth to make it smooth and make it accept touch better. I said that you are giving a false review because you said it was not worth the money.

Yes @Abhay Dubey as per my opinion, AMOLED 1080p would have done wonders for this phone. :( Bugs would be resolved in timely manner by Cyanogen, I believe since it's YU's flagship. Actually a two variant launch would have been better... one with (1080p AMOLED + NFC) and the other one as it is. I know NFC would be of much use in India but that way I can assure myself to have a future ready phone. And come on guys let's praise YU's effort, atleast for providing fast charger and earphones. I agree there is always a limit, but the thing here is that they didn't even increase screen size, clock speed (It is 2.24 GHz, a bit higher though), cores can be improved too, some tablets come with octa-core too. I agree QHD is one of the highest and 1536x2048 px is great but something must improve (Other than design now)

I got the information from Yu's official website. And , to your previous comment (where you said Xiaomi will improve Contrast Ratio and will keep improving), Xiaomi Mi Note Pro had 4GB RAM and SD 810 and that didn't improve or even be in par with Mi Note 3 or Mi 4c. You can see that Redmi Note had 3200 mAH battery but it didn't improve with Redmi Note 3 or Redmi Note Prime. Mi Pad 7.9 had better battery, and rest all same specs (except OS and maker of processor which are same clock) which we see got degraded than of improved! Then how say the Screen Contrast Ratio will improve with others?? And their only resolution is “please call after 1 week” So, can you really risk your 25K on a phone without any support ? I don't know whats with this negos and naysayers. This is a superb phone on paper for the price. There is no Q & A in it. Things that Micromax needs to tackle though explain the design concepts through media. Make a good advertisement video and sensitize. If possible release a mini version of it with same chipset 4.5-5inch screen, 12mp camera, 2GB Ram and same battery for a lower price. In future go with the field design styles. For E.g. It is just 9.2 mm right? One Plus 2 has a camera module at a thickness of 9.9 mm!!! So this is way slimmer and also has a good look (metal body). I too have used 3 iPhones and have 2 iPads. The first iPhone I had, iPhone 4, lost it's touch the first day and started giving shock from sides when charging. The second iPhone, again a 4 died one month after buying when I was updating the OS, it all of a sudden lost it's old OS and something happen, I had to spend INR 15,000 to get it normal. The next, iPhone 6, in it, the Air Drop no working, OS having many, many bugs, frequent hanging. Disadvantage of OGS Display is that if you break the display unit then you have to replace the whole screen of your smartphone and not the glass, whereas in normal display if you break the glass then generally you have to replace the top glass cover only and not the whole screen. Pluses: Specifications on paper is very good 21 Cam, 4K recording, QHD Display sounds great Minuses: Micromax phones are known for - Good on papers and not so good in reality All Micromax/Yu cameras suck. They are bad, really bad. Not so impressive or exceptional body, doesn't give premium appeal. Indian Rupees 25k is still higher for a Micromax phone. They are still percieved as budget phones only.
