Sharp TM150 - User Reviews

  • Camera is awesome but battery timing is bad and browser settings are not avilabil

  • Camera is awesome but battery timing is bad and browser settings are not avilable

  • where can I buy a charger for car and home use. Any webs

  • that is so true the camera is awesome i have the g1 n the camera isnt no where near as good as the tm150. luckly i still have my phone just in search of battery cover

  • I've had this since it came out. I don't even remember what year it was....but yeah, I think the inside part that you plug in the charger is loose just like other people have had...it's a damn shame, since the only flip phones with memory card slots that t-mobile has now only come in pink and purple, wtf? anyway, I loved this phone while it worked and I'm gonna see if it is fixable. I don't want a smartphone and that's all they're making now. I prefer older models like the tm-150. The battery that came with it got messed up in a power surge so it doesn't last very long for me, I ordered a replacement battery and it wasn't any better*sigh* The browser still works for just about any site except youtube etc.

  • i had this fon 3 years ago gave by my aunt from conneticut.. yea agrre nice camera, sound ok .. however ther ribbon was damaged and sad to say no ribbon hir in the phils so i sshoot it like a ball in the trash can

  • please........ anyone over there to assist me with the browser settings of this phone.

  • this phone by far has the best camera of any phone i've ever had. I've had sidekicks, blackberrys, all kinds of phones with "good cameras"! but none come close, I love this phone! I wish it wasnt discontinued, or I'd purchase again 4 years later!

  • This phone as far as am concern is the best camara phone on the market. I have purchased two phones because of the quality of the camara. The pictures are large crisp clear as if they were from a digital camara. Its to bad that Sharp stoped production of this phone and its to bad that Sharp hasnt come out with a phone with such a fantastic camara. I am still searching the net Ebay,Amazon, etc to see if I can purchase another phone. "Sharp please come out with another phone with a great camara like the TM150"!!!

  • No reason to break out into a sweat if you drop this phone, it's built like a tank! I've had it for 3 years and hope it goes on forever. Screen is large enough to read without glasses and the keys are nicely spaced, cutting way down on misdials. Battery life is mediocre and it's not featherweight by any means-- a small price to pay for an otherwise great phone.

  • I love this phone! Had it for years. My dog has chewed on it, it has gone through the washing machine twice! and still works like new.

  • Well, I've used this phone for a bit more than 3 years now. Great phone overall. When I first got it, I believe it was one of the more powerful camera phones. The phone's battery life is not very impressive, thats probably because of how much i use it. All the applications run smoothly without problems. Never had the phone freeze on me ever (and I've used all of its functions). The camera lens however requires cleaning every other week or so and sometimes it can be a chore. The other downside to this phone is the fact that you must use its built in browser to download games. I've dropped the phone many times and it still functions perfectly fine. And I must say even after 3 years this phone still has a trendy look. Old is old though. I'm switching this phone for a new phone. Hopefully that one will last me as long as this old baby. And I will probably keep this one as an backup phone for a few years to come yet.

  • the best use is now e-mail check for me Well al girls and guys specially gurls this is a gud phone but due to lack of bt its not of new age standards i have it from last 6 months even i bought it in used but its gud by camera,i have configured my official e-mail(sync) i can check my e-mails any time if m not availaible or out of reach to my computer strong as it was dropped very deadly many times but still nothing happened and its working q vg display is awsum camers is out class much better then some 1.3 and 1.5 mp's card is gud enough to store pictures and videos Bt there is a problem that download speed is not that much gud(may be due to service provider) NO BT No MP3 RT Battery dies out in few time if continiously goes on for messages for two hours or still for camera O/w in the amount which i paid is just 37 US && here in Pakistan So it not that much bad I got one battery after long time suffering from its previous and that was just for 2.5 US Dollars Wel Its ur turn

  • not a bad phone picture quality is great and font size. I can tolerate the battery service. Only fall back is the lack of speaker and bluetooth, otherwise it is an excellent phone.

  • ah ah ah here members u have right all yes i have sharp gx15 but da battry is bad bad bad and tired tired .

  • well i have been using this fone for a year now the only thing i didnt like is the battery life it's really bad if u message for 2 to 3 hrs continuosly den it dies and the talktime is actually for me now less than 2 hrs i dont have a charger for it but use the universal battery charger it works out gud the camera is just awesome my friends say its better than even razr and even i feel so but if it supported mp3 player and had a gud battery backup den i wouldn have been upgrading to se w810i but i'll give 7/10

  • I like this phone but there are many problems in it the main problem is that when i recieve a call the speaker of this phone make a problem. If i want to sale it no one wants to buy it and the second main problem is after 6 months its camera starts making problem I WILL ADVISE YOU TO DONT BUY IT

  • I am on my second tm150 and the same problem just happend to my second as my first one. The charge insert part on the phone gets lose inside and eventually the charger wont work with it therefore cant turn it on. Ther good while they last.

  • Hi every one i have been using my new sharp tm150 phone for about 6months now I must say i like my phone and iam enjoying every bit of it. Iam browsing the net with it and my service providers here is good. I can download ring tones, games, screensaver and many more. The phone is really good. The pictures are very clear infact it has by far the most clearest pix i have ever seen in a phone. If anyone wanna call me on my phone dial +2348061390054

  • i have had 2 tm150, love the phone but both had same issue after a while of having phone i came across charging issue. Both phones stoped charging Plug where you charge your phone became lose and it just wont charge anymore. over all good phone if you are planing on using it for a short period of time. Dont expact to last long! it wont i guarantee!

  • phone top is just like toy0ta supra's hood..loved it.. camera is great...plenty memory in sd-card no bluetooth no good ringtones reception so so no speaker phone over all very reliable though

  • Hey guys this phone has some good and bad features for instance the camera quality is good but if v use the camera for a long time den battery dies out the sound clarity and sound is good but is can play only 60 seconds of video or amr tones and no support for mp3 but the memory is good i have some 30 videos 35 pictures 20 games so its pretty good on 32 mb card

  • Loe the Phone's camera...its better than the Nokia6600 or Sony EricsonZ520i we have. But the phone menu system needs a little tweaking and getting used to. But the lack of IR and BT makes it a incompatible phone for the new age.

  • I hate this its rubbish looking. I mean it looks like a alien phone. It looks worth a penny.Hate the look looks like a toy phone.

  • This phone is damn near indestructible. Mine was once submersed in a dairy queen blizzard and still works great. The design however stinks, I get asked if its a toy phone, far too often. the menu system can sometimes be a nuisance, a bit click deep and unintuitive. Camera is excellent! Great picks! Sad that I will be upgrading to an N80 this week, my sharp will be missed.

  • I've had this phone for nearly two years and it is wonderful. The camera is great and everything's easily accessable. The only reason I'm not going to purchase this phone when I'm ready to upgrade is because of the ringer volume. It is entirely too quiet on it's loudest setting.

  • i love this phone. the screen & camera is absolutely amazing! it has a very clear & vibrant screen .. you won't believe its a cell phone. but some of the disadvantages about this phone is that you can't set music as ringtones from your memory card. & you can't transfer games to the phone from the memory card. ( well i never figured out how too) but other than that.. i enjoyed the phone very much. (the ringtones & games don't really bother me) right now i'm using the panasonic vs2 & i dont like it as much as the TM150. the panasonic has such a terrible screen and the camera sucks, and theres no memory card. SHARP is waaaaay better than the panasonic.

  • Hello Can anyone please tell me of any free software that converts mp3 to AMR\SMAF(mmf). I will be very thankful. Please try to post the link here. Thanks again saad from pakistan

  • This phone is durable. I've dropped it plenty of times and no damage done. Past phones I've had only lasted 6 months, I've had this about 2 years now. The size is perfect for putting in my pockets. It isn't too wide, but it does have a little thickness to it (which isn't a bad thing as I have seen plenty of broken razors)The camera quality is excellent. My battery life was great for the 1st 6 months, then it dropped down a bit. No bluetooth or mp3 player are this phone's only drawbacks. If it had those, this would be the last phone I bought for a while.

  • I've had this phone since it first came out. I don't know, 3 years maybe. It's been awesome! I don't plan on trading it for a long time! One of my only complaints is the battery. It really doesn't last all that long. For the first year it was decent and I got by ok. But the last year or so I haven't got much talk time out of it. It got so bad that I finally bought a new battery a couple weeks ago. This one is supposed to have more life than the original one. The bad news, my battery has completely died on me. It wont recharge or nothing. I had ordered my new battery online and I still haven't got it so I'm without a phone for a few more days. Anyways.. this is a good phone. Dropped it many times so it's durrable. It's just that the battery sucks!

  • i really love this phone. yes, it's bigger than most, but i loved the fact that there was an SD card, and there was so much memory. i took it on the road with me when i wet on tour with a band, and i was able to capture some of the best moments very easily with the camera. i was even able to frame a couple of the pictures once i'd printed them out, and give them as gifts. it takes pictures that good.... on the other hand, i had a horrible time keeping it charged. i went through two different ones, because it stopped charging both times. finally, it stopped charging again, and i called to get it replaced, but my warranty is up and i have to get a different one. i ended up ordering the samsung t509. who knows how that will work out. i understand the camera isn't as good, which makes me sad. but we'll see. if you are wondering about the tm150, i'd say it's the perfect phone for someone who doesn't care about it's size, but does care about picture quality and being able to get internet on your phone.

  • Had this phone since April 2005 and i must say this is one of the best phones ive had. The only real issue for me was the battery, it fades out real fast. However the redeeming qualities are the camera and the earpiece volume.

  • Hey...I've had this phone for about a year and a half, and I LOVE it. I don't know about other people, but my charge usually lasted 2-3 days, which is cool by me. The camera is excellent, and even though people always said, "You have a huge phone!" I didn't really care, because I was the only one I knew who had it, it works excellently, the graphics are incredible, the menu options are easy to use. Also, it has TONS of memory. I had upwards of 30 ringtones, 150 pictures, and about 10 videos on it with plenty of room to spare, not to mention I think it is THE ONLY regular cell phone on the market that holds an SD Card. It's better than any other phone I've ever had (and that's quite a few). However, recently my charger broke, and I tried to buy a new one, but since they don't make the TM150 anymore, I was forced to buy a different cell phone, a Razr. If I could, I would have held on to my TM150, but I couldn't find a charger ANYWHERE. That's the only pitfall to this phone - it's super-hard to find accessories for it. Otherwise, it's an excellent cell phone and I highly recommend it.

  • This phone really sux the only good thing about this phone is that it takes good pictures. The battery dies out really fast. My phone has to be recharged everyday and if I make more phone calls than usual it dies out even sooner. The phone is huge and I want to get a new one I'm tired of this one. If anyone is planning on getting this phone DONT ITS NOT WORTH IT!!!!

  • i had this fone for almost 2 years and it sucks the cameras the only thing working for it thank god its not out ne more they figured out it sucked. the battery life sucks even wen u first get it and people always tell u your fone is huge.

  • hey guys i've had this phone for about a year now. its sucky for 3 reasons: its huge, it doesnt support IM services, and the battery power lasts for less than a day!!! yeah i know~! it has a very good camera and takes pics like a digital camera! wow! and your ringtones will sound good and not all crappy. but overall i give this phone 6 (out of 10)

  • this mobile softwear is no avialable

  • This phone is horrible. I have had it for a year and this is my 3rd one tmobile been replacing it for some reason the audio keeps going off like when i ste the profile setting it switches back to car profile and when someone calls I can't hear them, the phone wont ring. So i got rid of it and bought another one. I think Tmobile should tell people the truth about the phone no wonder thats why they don't sell much accessories for the phone. So watch out for the phone.

  • hi i m khurram from pakistan.i m using that phone for one month.liek other it has good features and bad as well.best feature is camera visibility but it doesn't support wav format so correct it on the site.and it cant play mp3 and video songs.thats the bad feature in that.bettery timing and reception is good.

  • Aright, Yes this phone is lame for its size..but you must look at it this way, when this phone came out it had some of the best features in its time.. i already posted a comment on this phone..but the thing that gets me mad is that people ignore all these comments and like IDIOTs still buy this phone?!?!? The camera is badass!!!! NOT the video, Ringers Suck, but the internet on this phone is really good for a phone in its time!!!! im posting this comment from this phone right now, well im just letting yall know if your going to buy it then at least consider these comments..laterz..

  • Have had this phone since it came out. It is a great phone with camera. Although the ringer is not very loud, the battery life for me has been great. I use the camera about three times a week to take images of things i need to remember. I have had the same battery since new, so two years of life from it. I have never turned it off. I just plug the phone into the charger while it's still on. I work in an auto shop and it's with me at all times, I've dropped it, kicked it, and have gone through three broken belt clips, and it still works like the day I bought it. I expect a cell phone to operate at least two years, so I am pleased with this phone after two years of operation. I hope I can find another phone this good when this one does finally stop working.

  • this phone is amazing. i love it so much. i had it for 2 years now and i dont want to get a new one. but of course it just freezes all the time and its going to stop working soon. i recommend it though, its worth the money, and i love the camra!!

  • i just got this fone recently and tha batter sucks so badly because i will be charging its and in tha middle of tha night it just shuts off.>;/

  • i had this phone for more than a year and it was the best phone i ever had. i left it in a backpack at a baseball field and never got it back, so i had to but a new one. but while i had that, i would be able to just drop it on the ground, and nothing would happen, this was the best phone while it lasted.i highly reccomend this phone. it is almost indestructible.

  • Man...I had this phone for a year now..It was all good everything but then my charger started getting raggedy..Then it finally broke..So I looked EVERYWHERE for one and nobody sells them anymore..So I ordered one off the internet..My phone is completly DEAD..It wont come on..Even when I just put the new charger in..I hope it comes on..I don't wanna buy a new battery!

  • Well that's what u all get for buying online.

  • Sharp Tm150 sucks. It quit working. I thought it was the battery so I purchased a new one, Tmobile doesn't sell them so I found one online. It worked for a day after installing the new battery then went blank again and won't turn on. I get a blip of light when trying to turn the phone on but that's it. It won't indicate it's charging the battery, nothing.

  • sharp tm150 is one of the best cell phone i ever had. easy to use & the camera is like real digital cam.

  • When I first purchased this phone, it was wonderful. Then after a month or so, it just quit working and was replaced by T-Mobile. After a couple of months, this TM150 quit working. I purchased a new charger at our local T-Mobile store, this didn't help and there was NO REFUND, so I purchased a new battery from Sharp. The phone worked again, for a while. T-Mobile sent me another battery charger and the phone charged and worked for about five months with no more problems. Then all of a sudden, the phone won't charge at all. I have no idea if it's the battery, the charger or just the phone. For a $200 phone, it has cost me at least another $100 for chargers, batteries and shipping. What a waste of my money!!!!

  • I love the phone, however it quit working, and my service provider has messed up shipping me a new one 3 times, I want my phone. The only issue I have with the phone, it says games are downloadable, but I can't download them? what is the problem?

  • i have had this phone for about 2 years now.. i got it once i took a look at my friends becuase he had it and i thought it looked nice... once i got this phone its nice for the first couple weeks until u really start to notice it.. for one.. its the most quiet ringer u will ever hear.. second the battery of it suks.. i carry around an exrtra battery jus so i have a backup becuse i kno this one is goin to die out. third this phone is nothing but a camera. beside that it has no good features.. you cant dload games on it or play them.. it does not play mp3 files. this fone suks. only only only get this fone if u want a amazing camera.. but if u dont care about anything else. oooo and this clips for this fone suks too. the clips could never really hold this bulky fone. the fone always pops off the clip..

  • It's a little tricky but once the e-mail is set up it works great.

  • I have had this phone since the day it came out (2+ years now). I have never had a battery charging problem (I make sure to run the battery down most of the way before recharging). I love the keypad and user interface. I need a worldwide phone, and the TM150 works really well that way (that's why I have had T-Mobile (VoiceStream before the buyout); their international rates (per minute, no roaming charges) are really good). The displays are first rate. I actually don't mind having a bit of heft to it, but I wish there was some way to get rid of the nub antenna (I keep the phone in my pocket). I also really like the way the contact (address) book is set up (multiple phone numbers per entry, not a separate entry per phone number). When I get a call from someone in the contact book, the Caller ID tells me who it is regardless of which number (in the book) they called me from (their home, their office, their mobile). Problems? As reported by many others, the phone doesn't have a very high ring volume. I have it set to both ring and vibrate, but I still miss the occassional call. No regrets (I don't text message, so I can't speak to that).

  • this phone is good, it may be a little big but its still a good phone, I just cant set up my email on it

  • this phone is hella tight. I just got it as an early christmas gift. I'd have to say its pretty damn nice. Takes really clear pics. Also, it is a bit big, but has alot of features. Does anyone know how to get REAL songs to play as the ringtones... i have converted a few songs on my powermac and then transfered to the card, but i dont know how to exactly make them play as the rington... can u donwload actual song mini clips from the tmobile broswer? Thanks to anyone who can help. also to anyone who complains about tmobile... they have the cheepest plans with the greatest amount of minutes and they have great service too... i dont find anything wrong with it, if you dont like it then switch, because it is by far the best.

  • I have had this phone for a year. There are definitely pros and cons to it. This phone is for people that really want to just personalize a phone. The Bluetooth is a bit of a bother but there are ways around it. Speaker phone doesn't bother me because I hate speaker phones. The things that do disappoint me are the facts that the ringer isn't loud as I need it to be and that the battery sucks over time. However, I have been able to use all kinds of backgrounds, ringers and icons for it.I have software that allows me to make ringers to play on it and play rather well. Just wish it was louder. It's sturdy. I value this especially since I am not a particularily a graceful woman. The reception and dropping calls have to do with your server. This is the reason that I am with T-Mobile and not with Sprint. Sprint had a tendancy to not allow me to have my messages. T-Mobile ensures that I get all my messages faster. I get my text messages quickly. I have a feeling that also has to do with the carrier. I appreciate the fact that it can use an SD card like the one that I have for my MP3 player as well as my digital camera. Thus it allows me to have one type of media transferrance that I can swap in and out of my other electrontics. This has come in handy several times. The pics are decent. I can save all my digital pics to my SD card and take them with me in my cell to show others. It is better than the other cell pics that I have seen out there and has helped me in my business several times. So what it boils down to is: What are your needs and does this phone address your needs? It does for me but may not for the next person. What's important to you? If Bluetooth is and so is speaker phone, then this isn't the phone for you. If you like to have fun with your phone with your own ringers and pictures, then this is the great phone for you!

  • I bought this phone on ebay. I was eyeing it for about a year now. I'm not having any issues with it yet, except I hate the text messaging. I hate that I have to chenge the options everytime I want to text message, that the phone doesn't save it. Kinda annoying.

  • Pros: Best display on the market...period SD,MMD card capable. 256000K TFT, 65000K external Extremely customizable photo caller ID. Cons: Green backlit keypad No speakerphone No bluetooth Very low earpiece sound(even on max volume) Crappy ringtones Does Occasionally drop calls(even when stationary) Delayed camera shots(hold steady now!!)

  • Great phone. I had it for about 1 year now. I has crazy features but no blue tooth. Evrything else is ok thoe. I loved this phone till I got over it. I got a smart phone now

  • I received this phone as a birthday present and I like it,but there are some things about the phone that I do'nt like. It's not a bluetooth phone, and it takes forever for me to send pictures that I take with it.I wish this was a better phone.I hope they come out with one that has bluetooth,I would gladly upgrade to one in a heartbeat.

  • i hate the TM150 phone. i text message all the time and it takes me forever just to receive and send messages. the only good thing about this phone are the quality of the pictures. but you could just buy a digital camera instead. this phone isn't worth the money i paid for it. it really sucks.

  • it's a bloody cell phone for christ's sake! i use it to call people and for people to call me. PERIOD! it takes great pictures. fortunately i haven't experienced any problems. it worked fine while on my vacation in hawaii. by the way i noticed one comment on how to change the color of the phone. not crazy for the light blue, any suggestions?

  • This phone is the bomb. The color is brilliant. And, if you don't like blue, you can change the face plate to other spectacular colors. It's easy to use, the pictures are great, emailing, picture, and text messages are a breeze to send and receive. It's the business!

  • I've had this phone for about a year now. It's working perfect. I've dropped it many times, and still perfect. The battery is pretty bad, but only if you use the camera once every so often. The other gripe i have is the slow text messaging. I'm so use to the NOKIA's user friendly. The CAMERA quality of this phone is one of the best (JUST HOLD THE PHONE STEADY AND DONT SHAKE, OR ELSE IT'LL BE BLURRY). I LOVE THIS PHONE.

  • Both the T 150 and "T-Crap" suck for quality and service. T-crap ought to be sued under the "Deceptive Trade Practices Act" for representing itself as a legitimate wireless carrier. They don't know the meaning of customer satisfaction; they DO know the phrase (at ALL levels of) "Well, it's company POLICY....." Had it not been for Sprint's fairly well publicized "Rebate Denial Scam" (at least in the Houston area), I'd still be with them. I miss the quality of their service and Sayo products.

  • I have had my phone for about 4 months now.I loved it at first.. Now my phone keeps dropping calls after 10 minutes, Does anyone else have this problem?

  • Please help. I own a Sharp tm-150 and somehow ive been locked out. The notorious handset code bandit has struck again. For some reason the default code 0000 does nothing. Ive also contacted T-mobile and sharp. Dont you guys make the phone. Howcome you cant tell me ho to fix it. would greatly appreciate some useful help

  • Does anyone knows how to fix the charging problem with this phone???? I've been using it for four months and it quitted charging. I'm not able to returnit because now I'm not on the states, I'm at Domincan Republic (kind of far eh?)

  • I'm now on my second TM150. The first was replaced because after about two weeks, the phone quit charging. Now it's five months into the second phone, and it's quit charging. I wish I never purchased this phone. I may not go with T-Mobile when this contract expires. This is so frustrating!!

  • Although i got the fone for free i cant complain but the fact that tmobile told me that i am unable to download games is horrible. yes out of all the fones ive seen it take sum real great pictures and motion pics. im angry that 3months after i got it tmoblie snatched it out their stores and i cant locate supplies for it. i need a charger desperately

  • I really hate this phone...I had the samsung e105... that phone was awsome!!! even though it had no camera it was great, It got really busted up so i got the sharp tm150 and It really turned out to be a peice of junk. Ringers are sooooo low, No SPEAKER!!!, NO GAMES!!!,Camera is delayed... most of pictures are really blurry... and only 10 seconds of crappy video recording??? Wow I thaught Sharp would be better then this. I had this phone for a week and switched back to my busted samsung e105, i was way to embarrased to carry this fruity brick in my pocket. It dosnt matter now though because I just ordered my e730!!! THE BEST PHONE EVER!!! In my opinion DO NOT BUY THE SHARP TM150!!!IT SUCKS!!!

  • 256000, sorry. Still is more than any other. except the razor, but the razor has less pixals.

  • This phone has the best picture out of any phone on the market today. And thats not just my opinion, its a fact too. Look at the specs. on all the phones out there. This phone has 262000 Colors and 240x320 px. Other than that the phone is alright. But you just cant beat that Clean clear picture. If you go on the web alot to look at pics. its the best phone out there.

  • I LOVE MY PHONE !!!! IT TAKES AWSOME PICS !!! the accessories for this phone can be purchased off e-bay real cheap i got the usb data cable for 5 bucks and down loaded the driver and software off the site. T-mobile now wants 85 bucks for this

  • Man i dont know why anyone would say this phone doesnt take good pics there fu#*ing stupid this phone takes bad azz pics its like a digital camera yeah the video is disapointing the sound is something that makes you mad. The only good thing is the pics, pics, pics, pics, pics, pics aight!

  • I truely dislike this phone. Can say nothing nice about it. It's big, battery life is bad, photos are poor, navigation is awful. The photo's have a inconvient 1 second delay which results in blurred images. Just a piece of junk.

  • does anyone know ow to make the video recording last longer then 10 seconds? plz email if u do

  • Have had my TM150 since Jan 05. Took it to Cancun with me and it is almost all I used for pics. My Cancun pics are descent. The phone is unable to take a reasonable good pic at night and you better hold steady for a follow thorugh once you do click a pic as there si a delay reaction thing that happens. You can not attach an alarm to the calendar and that is a bit of a drag. Actually that is the one feature that Sharp should really work to incorporate into their next version. The ringer and earpiece volume could be louder. Although seriously quick to charge, it will drain rapidly if using the camera much. Oh well. Guess thats why they have a car charger. The covers are slick and easy to drop if your hands are damp. It is durable though. Other than the above it is a seriously tight and well made piece of equipment. It may be the best overall cell phone that I have seen. I will anxiously await for a version with a 2 megapixel phone and better alarm.

  • I have had this phone for about 4 months now and have this to say: The ringer volume is absolutely too low! I can't tell you how many phone calls I have missed due to the poor volume on this thing! I am getting instead a Samsung e715 model I bought on eBay for like 80$. I used to have a Samsung e105 model: real basic, no pics, no mp3's, just a solid, LOUD phone. Dont get me wrong, this is a great phone(tm150) but I can do without the awesome screen(the only real selling point about it, really.) Samsungs have an outside service light (LED) to let you know if you have a text message, missed a call, etc. TM150 does not. I should have researched this TM150 more before I got it (got it free thru T-mobil). Its not the phones fault, I just want more. Im gonna let my wife have it, that way we both have camera phones and have a little fun. I realize I dont really need Bluetooth, IR, MP3, FM radio?, or any of that crap, just a nice basic phone with good reception and a camera. But thats just me.....

  • All right every one who has this phone knows that this phone has the best camera that any phone has had. I've had this phone for like 7 months and i do like it. I like the memory of the phone, i lost my sd card for some time but i still had like 175 pics that look great and still had room for more pics. The external display is cool when someone calls and i've programmed there pictures to a caller id it appears when they call on the external display. The phone doesnt really have good video capability it only records for like 10 seconds im serious not playin i mean most phone descriptions say a phone can only record a video for a certain amount of time but they record for more time. This phone is okay the pictures look like a digital camera took them if anyone wants a picture phone that takes good pictures then i suggest this one. I am going to get the motorola v360 when it comes out it records videos that last a long time, has speaker, has bluetooth, has mp3 ringers, and has an sd slot. hope dis is good info

  • Great Screen. Sound is OK. Purchased the PC link kit, but have not had any success with it. I've been able to load it up, but my PC never is able to connect with my phone. Has anyone had this problem? Any help would be apreciated. thanks.

  • i just got this phone. haven't got it yet tho but can u buy cool ring tones and put em on it?

  • Yo guys i dont understand why you making such a big deal out of this phone. It's a FREE phone. I got it for free last year with tmobile 1 year contr. B4 i had like 10 phones but this one's best. Camera is like real mpcam. Menu is too simple and many imp. features are missing. No loudspeaker. Huge screen and wonderful colors. SD card that u can plug to PC and transfer pics without tmobile's thing. Little screen has ugly colors tho Try for a year and dont make big deal. + u'll like it )

  • Ok, the camera and video is great. In general, I am happy with the phone. Except for one thing. The battery life is TERRIBLE!!! I have to recharge it every night, even if I haven't talked much through out the day. After talking for about an hour continuously, the battery is nearly gone. There should perhaps be an extended life battery available for this phone. Has anyone else had this problem with the baterey?

  • I wouldn't be taking the time to post a comment unless I was very dissatisfied or over and above satisfied with this camera phone. I recently had a baby and have snapped hundreds of wonderful photos of my newborn, most people cannot believe they were taken with a camera phone. I also love the editing capabilities.

  • I have had this phone since February 15, and I love it. It has an absolutely beautiful screen and all of my friends envy my phone. I love it! The camera has exceptional quality. The only complaint I have is it can play MP3's. T-Mobiles HiFiRingers are in the SMAF format and are quite short, but the quality is ok, i just wish they were longer. My favorate aspect of this phone is the overall look and feel. Its very sturdy and looks great. I like that its big but not too heavy.

  • i've owned one for about 3 days now and LOVING it. here's a quick pro and con pros: screen. biggest i've ever seen. bright, wont be squinting at it camera: sure it isn't a digital camera, but for a MP camera on a phone, its pretty cool. i wont go back to VGA sturdy: i like the little click it makes when you open it. LOL card expansion: 600+ shots on a 128 MMC is a good thing *=not important to me but still should be addressed cons: no bt or speaker*: could be important to people. its nice to have, but i'm not bashing it customization: wish i could change the housing or *the pink strip* the external caller id, when someone rings, it shows the name, THATS it! for all you people who hate the data cable, use a sd/mmc reader for all you people that complains about games, you wanna play games on your phone, buy an n-gage for all you people who say you have to flip THEN press the green button(i keep hearing this one) menu/settings/connectivity/call settings/flip open/incoming call/answer

  • I love tm150. the only problem that i have with it is that no one mekes games for it. the phone has java and wap2.0 and can do things that other phones could never do. But it cant download a smple game. and t mobile dosent seem to care at all. if anyone knows where i can find one please email me the address

  • I think the phone looks pretty cool. I know some people don't like the blue down the center, but it kind of reminds me of a blue racing stripe on a Dodge Viper. The cons that other people have listed are pretty much true. The ringer volume is way too low. I keep it in my pocket and sometimes miss calls. You have to set it on ringer and vibrate if you want to keep it in your pocket and know theres a call. As for earpiece volume, thats pretty low too. But I've noticed that the earpiece is really small and if I move the phone down a little so the earpiece is right by your eardrum, you can hear a lot better. But it is very hard to hear in a noisy room and even at the max volume its not enough. As for the positive, the pictures are great. Very crisp and clear. And the screen is beautiful. Overall, I think the looks are great and works well enough but its a little short on some of the basics above. I give it 8/10.

  • Hello - Ruth again. This is 3 weeks after my other review, and I have some changes in my opinions. I am once again including my previous review at the end, so newcomers to the site can get help with finding games and learn more about the phone. First, the camera still works great. The message about the macro switch still bugs me (why can't it just say - "camera loading"?), but I can live with that. Second, I did in fact drop it several times by accident since writing my first review (I know, careless), but it did prove sturdy, and so far, I only got one barely noticeable scratch on it. Third, for some reason, I can no longer download games and ringtones from www.tagtag.com on my phone. It may be just me, or it may be that you cannot download from that site anymore. It's sad, because they had a lot of good stuff there. You can still go there, though. Another site to go to for good games is www.zeroindex.co.uk (go from your phone). For first-timers, you have to have the $4.99 unlimited t-zones to do this. Another thing is, although I absolutely love the camera, it can be REALLY slow at times, especially in dimmer light. I agree with Paul, the camera is at its best in bright light. Also, another complaint is that it doesn't have flash. And that's basically all I have to update from my first review! I've included my first one, so you won't have to scroll all the way fown the page for it. If you have any more questions, just contact me! -------------------------------------------- OK this is the best review you'll find anywhere so if you want to know everything there is to know about the Sharp TM150 before you buy it, then read on: I got this phone for free from an offer on the t-mobile website, and so far I've had few complaints. Overall I give it an 8.5. That's just my opinion though. OK here are the pros and cons that I've observed on the phone: PROS: -The best camera I've ever seen on a camera phone. It's just amazing! -Really clear and bright display. Don't open it at night or it's brighness will blind you! -Video capability -Also has great external display -Menu layout is very easy to use -Plenty of room to store, pictures, ringtones, and games (yes it IS possible to get games for this phone; I'll get to that later) -Has a nice strong flip -Sturdy makeup (looks like it won't shatter into a million pieces if I drop it, but I'm definitely not testing it). -SD card for easy transfer of data from phone to computer -Tons of options for most features -Easy to get online with t-zones (you have to pay to go to websites with the unlimited version, though. But what's 5 extra bucks a month?) -Picture caller ID. -Easy to add contacts -Tons of shortcuts -Lightweight WHEW!!! OK those were the pros. Don't worry, there's not as many cons, and the pros far outweigh them. CONS: -Doesn't come with pre-installed games, and unless you know what you're doing, it is extremely hard to get them. -No speakerphone -Probably the biggest flip phone you'll ever see, kind of bulky (but not heavy) -Up and down buttons on side of phone don't work for volume unless you're making a call. -Camera is kind of slow; pictures can easily be blurred if your hand shakes a lot -Quiet ringtones -My SD card was corrupted and none of the pictures would show up when I copied them to it. -An annoying message about the macro switch comes up every time the camera starts (or maybe it's just my phone) And that's it... I mentioned before that it's really hard to get games, but it's possible. Here are four ways: NOTE: YOUR PHONE HAS TO HAVE AN INTERNET CONNECTION IN ORDER TO GET GAMES (UNLIMITED T-ZONES FROM T-MOBILE, $4.99 A MONTH) 1. Go to www.tagtag.com from your phone (if you go from your PC, you'll have to pay for ringtones and stuff) and then go to tagtag.java from inside the site. Then you'll find a lot of good stuff. 2. Go to www.3gforfree.com from your phone, enter from "I am browsing from my phone," and you'll find lots of good stuff from there. 3. This was is the most complicated, but I found it to be worth all the trouble. Go to www.zedge.no from your PC, sign up for a free account, and start finding games, ringtones, and wallpapers. Click "add to my account" for each thing you picked. Then go to wap.zedge.no on your phone, sign in with your username and password, and go to "Downloads". You'll see all the stuff you added to your account, and you can download each one from there. 4. Go to www.zeroindex.co.uk from your phone, and you'll find nice games. Well, that's all for now! If you have any questions, just e-mail me at [email protected], or you can IM me at AIM, MSN, or yahoo messenger at the sreen name PrincessAnne1026. Thanks for reading this! P.S. Come on, the phone is not really as bad as some of you people make it out to be. It's way better than a lot of phones, and I get compliments about it right and left wherever I go. There's no such thing as the perfect phone!!!

  • Joe: The best pictures the TM150 takes are outside. They are the sharpest and clearest. The pictures the phone takes inside are very very good even in low light. You will find this out if you buy one. I keep the camera set at the highest resolution for the best quality. You can shoot at lower rezs, they shoot faster, but they are not worth putting up on your computer or worth printing. You must hold the camera very steady for about one second after you take the picture. Hold it against something like a door jam or light pole to keep it steady. It will take a perfect picture. The colors are rich and beautiful. You can also get very good results by holding it with two hands; and hold your breath when you push the button. The camera is still shooting for about a half second after you push the button, so the image can reach full saturation. If there is any movement during the saturation time, and there will be a blurry image. A passing car will be blurry. It is not good for action shots. If you tell your subject to say cheese, or catch them while they are not moving it will be ok. To take a picture, hold your left hand up and press the side of the phone against the palm of your hand; like your holding it against a wall to steady it. Hold your breath for a second and push the button. Now don't close the case while the picture builds. It will be lost. It takes several seconds to build, if you like it, you have to save it. Save it to handset memory, or SD card memory. The card can be pulled out and put in any SD reader. Only handset memory can be accessed by the USB cable. Pictures can be moved or copied to either location once saved. It take Videos too, but they are poor, very robotic. Good if you want to take a video of a flying garbage can lid and tell everybody it is a UFO. The phone has poor ear volume. It will be difficult to hear your caller in a noisy room, or out in traffic. The head set does not help at all. It is just as bad. People have not had a problem hearing me. So the phone is a good weekend phone. Have fun with it. It is not a good business phone. If you get into a bad situation, you cant be saying "What?" all the time to your customer. It is really irritating.

  • Sarah or anyone: I saw your posting on May 18. You said you loved the TM150 camera. Then I saw others hating that feature. Can you tell me if you had the problem of taking blurry photo because the camera has to wait for a second. I am seriously considering buying this model. Thanks for your feedback. Joe

  • LOVE THIS PHONE! Got it thru T-Mobile, paid $50. Easy to use, the camera works great (altho closeups come out better), ringtones are plenty loud enough (I use the T-Mobile Caller Tunes), and the display is beyond awesome. Don't use it for games so I can't address that issue. Would buy this again in a heartbeat. Also, using T-Mobile picture message, I never need a USB cable.

  • Has anybody out there bought Sharp's fifty dollar USB Cable and software CD? I would love to know what comes on the CD. I have the "Software Manager" suite. It downloads free from Sharp's web site.

  • PAUL HERE I have to print a retraction. I said I used a voice recording as a ringtone on my Sharp TM 150. I am really sorry I wrote that. I did record my bog barking. But when I was setting my ring tone, I took a dog barking tone that was already in the phone. I thought it was my home made tone. I have tried to convert this recording and mp3s to carry as ring tones but no luck. The only tones it will play are midi, known as *.mid tones, or Sharps own home made tones. Sorry about that. Also it will not take an mp3, wav, or wma files into "My Sounds". It does not recognize them. I do not know if there is a software that will convert them. There is a "Melody Composer" built into Sharp's "Handset Manager" software; Where you can make your own midi, or take a prerecorded midi and change the instruments, or RAISE the volume of the recording and then send it into the phone. This has worked very well for me.

  • Hey I got this phone today, anyone know if I can change it from pink ? Right now I'm not digging it that much, and I have the option to take my friend's samsung e715, but let me know if there's a way, post here, or give me an email. Thanks alot.

  • Ok, I got this cell antenna and safeguard. It says it reduces static and its like having a 4 foot antenna on your phone. Is this worth using? and what is the safeguard supposed to do?

  • First off, I would love to know if anybody has purchased and used the fifty dollar factory USB cable and Data CD? Does the Data CD have any games on it? Or a Game loading software? I, like Cliff, bought a cheapy five dollar cable on ebay. I downloaded " Handset Manager" from Sharp, and with this setup, I have added ringtones and moved pictures in and out of the phone. But I have not found any Games that will work on this phone. Just about everything Cliff says about the phone is true. But I still like the phone for what it can do. Come on I got mine for free too (well almost, sixteen dollars). I would never shell out four or five hundred bucks for any phone. That was the retail asking price for this phone. The listing volume IS too low. You will have trouble in a crowded room or in traffic. My biggest bi### is call waiting. I have not picked up a call waiting call YET. The procedure is like three steps. And I have always lost one or both calls, because I forgot the procedure. Other than the call waiting problem, I can live with the other short comings. To everybody who says the ring volume is too low, read the MANUAL. There are many ring tones already in the phone. And there are louder tones in there. Or record your own. I used the voice recorder to record my dog barking. I used the recording as a ring tone. One day I had the phone sitting on a desk while I was talking to a contractor in his office. The phone went off. The sound was so loud it made him jump. It was pretty funny. The pictures I think are really good for a phone. But you do have to keep the phone very still when you shoot. I think T-Mobile is a super company for giving this phone away.

  • Volume... can't hear it ring 75% of time and can't hear the person cause you can't raise the volume high enough. I work around traffic, big dissappointment.

  • This phone is complete garbage. I regret ever getting excited for a single moment about what I could do when I got this phone. I have so many complaints about this phone that I will probably miss a couple during this post. First of all, I do like the screen, (not the pink color scheme) but I do like the screen. I really like the fact that I can modify the picture of both the inside screen and the external screen. I like the overall appearance and general layout of buttons. Now onto my complaints. I got this phone for free from t-mobile's website and thought it was very fancy and had lots of features. The user interface is complex and takes some learning to make it work. The sd card was one of the coolest features I have ever seen on a phone. BUT IT HAS 0, ZERO! functionality. I bought the usb cable off ebay for 5.00 and downloaded the drivers. I don't know why I thought that the phone would be recognized as a removable drive just like most digital camera's. IT IS NOT. They have developed the lamest tool on earth to transfer files back and forth to the computer. In order to access the memory card on the phone usb link has to be disabled. That defeats the purpose. The phone can't play mp3's which was another hope that I had, The camera takes pictures but it is garbage. when you want to take a picture the camera has multiple settings and even zoom on the smaller sizes BUT you better get a tripod becase everytime you take a picture it will show a great picture and 1 second later it will show you the actual photo. I tried to take a picture of a dog and it came out blurry everytime because of the 1 second delay. The camera/video feature is so low quality that I feel like a schmuck for owning this phone. It has no games, and I tried to download some games off the internet and then move them over to the phone but the 'file manager' program wouldn't allow me to put them onto the phone because they were unrecognized format. I haven't tried to use the modem but I'm sure it will be a pain just like the rest of every other 'feature' of this phone. I read this entire 6 page review before my phone arrived and have now formed this opinion through my own experience with using this phone. The restrictions that have been put on this phone are garbage, I'm sure somebody will hack the phone and open it up to allow it to function as it already should but by then I will have pawned this phone off to someone who doesn't know any better and upgraded to something that works. If you are reading this and trying to decide if you want to get this phone or not, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PHONE!. unless you just want to take blurry pictures, wait for it to load each image, be forced to download thumbnails onto your computer just to see what images are on the phone, and a huge amount of other problems. I cannot express in words how mad I am that this phone is such garbage. I hope you don't make the same mistake that I made. If I would have paid 5.00 for this phone I would be even more upset. no games, no direct sdcard access, no thank you

  • Hey does anyone know where I could get free ringtones for my phone?

  • I have had the Sharp TM150 for a few days now and I absolutely love it! I stayed up til 4 in the morning playing with it the first day I got it and figured out all the little niches and details. Navigating through the system is confusing at first, but after playing around with it, you get used to it and it's easy. This is an awesome phone. I just switched from Nextel to TMo & from a Moto i730 to this phone and I am very glad I did. This phone outdoes my old one by a landslide. In fact, my moto looks almost ancient compared to the Sharp! Here are my likes & gripes about this phone: Likes: -the look of the phone is so different -the camera is so clear and I love it -the screen is just beautiful it's lightweight -some people may think it's big, but I like the size of it, not too big and not too small -it's more fun to use than any other phone I've ever had -I can here clearly on it -I love all the fun ringtones I have downloaded for free from tagtag.com -so much memory on the handset and the SD card Gripes: -the ringer isn't the loudest but it's not that bad (considering I went from an annoyingly loud moto to this one) -no games, but I knew that b4 I bought it, I have downloaded a few for free but they aren't very good ones, the only game I'd really like to have is Texas Hold 'em so if anyone knows where I can find that, please let me know! -no speakerphone, but again, I knew that b4 I bought it. I'll just have to get used to it not having Nextel anymore, but I definately appreciate TMo's service much better (no dropped calls and even when I don't have any bars I still get service) -battery life isn't great but I can live w/ that. Just have to have my car charger and I just bought an extra battery just in case. That's bout it I guess. All in all, this phone is wonderful! Sure, it does have a few flaws, but what phone doesn't? At least a phone that you're not paying $500 for! I paid $100 for this phone w/ a mail in rebate and it is well worth it. This is a great buy and I am more than pleased with this phone. If you are considering the Sharp TM150, go get it, play with it for a few days, and trust me, you'll fall in love!

  • I love this phone but can someone PLEASE e-mail me @ [email protected] and tell me how to turn off the flip-to-answer setting?!? I don't want it to automatically answer the call when I flip it open, I want to have to press a button to answer it. PLEASE HELP!

  • I like the the phone a lot. Even with all of its short comings. The camera is very good, almost excellent. The phone is adequate almost poor. I love the style of the phone and its display. The size is perfect. I have had smaller phones, and they are very hard to perch on your shoulder. I really wish it had a speaker phone. I will be watching the TM200, I will not buy it without a speaker phone. The TM150 is loaded with features, but you need to sit down and read the manual in order to find every thing. It reminds me of a Mac, you cant find anything without reading the manual. I bought the USB Cable and software for it. It links up nicely with my IBM PC. I have had a lot of fun with this phone.

  • Hello all. I just got this phone this week and have been using for about 5 full days and....sigh!. I come from switching from a Samsung e105, and a nokia 3650 before that. This phone is a bit bulky but thats cool, cause its different. The girly color on the faceplate? No thanks. My biggest problem is that when in text mode, you cannot get that 'click' feeling to know you pushed the key without actually having to look at the screen (I memorized the keypad to type super fast in T9 mode). And there is no quick changeover key from T9 text mode to regular ABC text mode (like the # key on samsung and nokia) for when spelling curse words or in another language, and it CANNOT LEARN NEW WORDS EITHER! WHATS UP WITH THAT? THOSE ARE TEXT 101 BASICS PEOPLE! LISTEN UP SHARP! The ringer is VERY LOW! I dont work in a library, where a ringer this low belongs. The stock ringtones make me wanna puke. At least I had that nice Island music or the club beat on my old nokia (which came with the phone, thank you). The menu structure is a bit more complex than needs to be if used by a rookie. Reviewing your pics: they need to load for a WHILE before you see them. Battery life is VERY VERY SHORT if you talk quite a bit or play the games that IT DOES NOT COME WITH!! WHAT THE HELL? NOT ONE?! Back to the battery, it probably gets used up juicing that huge screen it has, whick is great, but sucks. Support is very limited. Pictures look superb on this guy. Keypad Very Dim. Cannot copy a # from the call log straight to an existing contact on my list. Worthless. Have to write it down or memorize it. Useless. Almost afraid to keep using it cause I know I will hate it the more I use it....SHARP, TAKE NOTES AND FIX IT NEXT TIME, OR GIMME SOFTWARE THAT CAN DO IT. PLEASE!

  • I just order this phone did I make a good deal with this phone or not please let me know.

  • I love this phone!!! I recently got this phone and it is certainly better than the old nokia that i had. I can hear really well on this phone, and even though a lot of people would say that the speaker is very quiet...i never missed a call because i could not hear the phone. I love the camera, but i don't think there's a zoom. The screen is great!!!! WOW so much color!! The phone i bigger than normal flip phones, but i can carry it comfortabely in my jeans pocket. I also don't like the fact that there are no games on this phone ... i have been able to get some though at www.mobango.com i also got some ring tones from this site. To get the games u will have to go on-line (purchase t-zones). This phone has an awsome menu and you can do a lot with it: it as a SD memory card that comes with it where you can save the pictures you take to it. I have a card reader/writer that easily transfer the images i have on the phone to my computer (the reader cost's about 15-20 dollars) anyways I hope that this review was helpful. I strogly recommend this phone it is better than i thought it would be.

  • i think that this sharp is by far one of the ugliest phones i have ever seen in my life....... neways..... the only way you can get games on this phone is if you dl them off t-zones...... i dont think you can put them on the memory card .... it also has a faggish color.... its okay if your a girl but if your a guy .. then i would want it in a diff color... preferably black

  • The Sharp TM150 is more than likely the best camera phone in the US, and it has a lot of good features. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: -EXCELLENT camera, picture guality, and display. I could go on and on about that -SD card for easy transfer of data to computer -Nice external features -T-zones -Video camera capability Cons: -My biggest complaint is: NO GAMES!!! I think it's possible to get them but I just can't figure it out! I really need help getting them. I'm desperate! -No speakerphone. But I don't really care because I would never use it anyway. -Kind of big. But I'm used to it and I kind of like the funky shape. Overall I'd give it an 8.5. The games thing was a real bummer for me.

  • Well i like the camera a lot ... but i can't do some of the simple stuff like a could on my motorolla v300.. like change the color scheme. does anyone know if the data link for the PC to mobile software can change these types of options????

  • whoops i meant you CANT really hear when someones calling

  • im not quite sure about the phone, it takes really good, clear pictures. but it is sooo huge!!!! and it kinda takes a while to load anything, you really hear when someones calling because of the volume.

  • I could get the software that was able to create *.mmf(Ring tone) file. However this software is created using Japanese. But I could use it, it's easy!! Only drag 'n' drop and push 'Convert' button. Before using this software I had to create wav format file from cd or some music. //MAX Created size is 50kb //Can use8bit PCM and 4bit ADPCM

  • I hate the ringtones on this phone. I was wondering, is there any way you could record things from the voice notes application to use as a ringtone?

  • i have a question where can i get free ringtones for this phone?... cuz i do not like the ringtones at all

  • Just got this yesterday, free for new service. Pictures are clear, ringer is plenty loud - same as a normal cellphone, no games stinks, but also comes with headset. For a free phone, I couldn't expect anything better. I moved from Nextel and this phone is definitely an upgrade from the Motorola phone I had with Nextel.

  • for all to consume, listen spend the money on a none branded phone, its the only way to go.my suggestion is motorola products like the v635 or the nokia 6670

  • If you want this one, you'd better scramble. Out of stock via web order, and low stock in local outlets. Wife went to 7 local outlets today to get us two.

  • I am confused between getting this phone or the Samsung X475. I first wanted the X475 but then this phone went on special for free through T-Mobile so I thought it would be better, ordered it, and now read all these reviews and find it is a horrible phone. I am absolutely new to having a cell phone and this sounds like a hard phone for even experienced users. Any recommendations honestly? Is this phone really such a piece of crap? Of course I'm most attracted to the way it looks and will honestly just be making basic phone calls on it (no game player here)..maybe a picture or two...but if you can't hear the phone ringing and the menus are complicated maybe it isn' the phone for me? Any opinions on the Samsung X475 compared to this phone? Thanks!

  • Anyone know how to unlock SP lock on this TM150? It is such a waste if only work for TMo network only. Thanks.

  • It is a very good camera phone. The only bad thing about this phone is that it does not have games.

  • About this phone 100% for the picture is good cause the 1.3 X ,however, the ring tone is so low my customer does not like it and thanks for the T-mobile 14 days return policy I have 10 of return phone instock ! Well, for the people have this phone and like this phone Good for you ,for the cell phone business people watch out sharp TM150 ! good day !

  • this phone is the best phone i,ve had but not the fastest phone I had but it is a nice cool phone really good pictures when it get to print them they are really cool pics impressed.

  • This is an awesome fone. Does anyone know the handset code for this fone. I got it from a friend and i need to put it in there for it to work. If you have it please please email me ([email protected]) Thanx.

  • I just bought the phone. Does is have any new faceplates? I like the phone. Great picture...anythings people want to fill me in on about the phone? THanks alot

  • its great the best phone ever! but does it have any faceplates

  • When i first got this phone i liked it a lot. The picture quality is great and the screen is nice and clear. However, those are the only positive things i have to say about this phone. It is hard to use, and everything takes a long time to do. The pictures have to "load" to just look at them, and you cant just browse through the pictures, you have to keep going back and waiting and waiting.....if you dont like to wait..dont buy this phone..its not quick. It also doesnt have games, speakerphone, and the volume does not go up high enough. Everything about this phone is complicated. I say stick to motorola their phones are a much better value for your money.

  • This is a great phone. I took some photos and printed them - I was shocked to see how well they turned out. Here are some tips: To view on a computer, transfer to another phone, or print photos: 1) Select picture > options > Copy picture to your SD Card 2) Remove card and go to one hour photo and print!HINT: You can set camera quality settings to HIGH for optimal results. 3) To copy pictures to your SD card FROM your computer, you have to turn "Read Only" off in card properties using windows explorer. You can then add pictures and use them as wallpaper too. I also like the ability to set wallpaper on both main screen (large, excellent resolution) and on the small front display. The only issue I have with this phone is minor: ringtones - very limited - and no games. I copied a short MP3 to the card and tried using that, but no recognition! Still playing.

  • So you can skip buying the data kit from t-mobile and just get an SD card reader to hook up to your laptop. I was wondering about that but no one had a clear answer for me. Do you have to have a special program to load the pictures on your computer or just any photo program. Thanks a lot.

  • This my favorite phone yet. I love the photo quality...I was going to buy a digital camera but I got this phone and now I don't need one. Its so easy to pop the memory card in the computer and print awesome looking pics. It is a phone I would not recommend to a person that is not good with cell phones..especially if the support isn't that great. Tmobile is a very good carrier and has great customer service. I'm sure their customer service trys there hardest to assist us with our problems with the phone, even though it really may not help with manufactor related problems. I am a Cust Service Rep for a large cell phone company and I know how hard it is to find certian information and help people over the phone. And how things you can do at that given moment can be limited. I rate this phone 9 on a scale 1-10. I not really a game fan, but I will try that tagtag.com Have a Good Day!!!

  • This phone is okay and I did not get it for free - $100. the main reason I purchased this device, so I don't have to carry around a disposable camera to take pictures if something happens, like, an accident, etc. The features should be more user-friendly but I do not think I am going use any of those calendar stuff or any other the features - why bother? - I do not want my life to depend on a handy device that I could lose easily. The 1MP picture is okay for taking pictures and the video quality is so-so. I might switch to the new Samsung 5MP phone as soon as I go to Europe.

  • For a free phone with new activation, no complaints. Missing speakerphone, bluetooth, zooming with larger pics, louder earpiece volume, brighter backlit keypad, more accessories(then again Sharp is still unique to the US market). I read all the complaints and say if this phone is so bad, get an entry-level GSM phone without any bells and whistles.........

  • Oops, didnt see the guy that posted about www.tagtag.com, my bad, well anyway cant delete it, so maybe mine will explain it better.

  • As I have read the posts of before there are ways to getting games for this phone, i have done some research and found a website to where you can download them to your phone, now keep in mind, free games equal crappy games, so Im not saying top of the line, but if you want games for this phone atleast something to play on your phone, go to the internet on your phone, then choose the option, go to url, then type www.tagtag.com now in the menu go to tagtag.java and browse the list of games, NOW SOME WORK AND SOME DONT, they have bandwidth limitations, so some games they terminate on you, and others will let you. This is the best that i have came up with since I've owned my phone. So good luck and hope this helps! greg4869

  • umm, i think ur're very wrong. It was deffintely easy to put indepent ringtones on the phone.ALl u have to do is go to contacts.Click the person's name, then click options and then click ringtone. U can figure the rest from there hopefully. If u can't just post an opinion on here and i'll answer back.

  • Ive had this phone for nearly a month and it is great, but the only things I dont like about it is that there are no games, the support for this phone is nearly impossible to find. Calling sharp, they dont even give support for it and tell you to call t-mobile for support, which they then tell you to call sharp... loop. but anyway you have to buy a 50 dollar pc link kit just to have connectivity to the computer, and there are no instructions with it, no support for it either, and the company that makes it does not even show it on their website. The software is hard to use and t-mobile says that they only support the modem driver section of the software and to get support with the rest of it, to call sharp, who says that they do not have any support for any part of the phone, software, or accesories for it. Basically this is a great phone, and if you just want to take pictures, make calls and record video, then this phone is for you, but it lacks games, good connectivity to the computer, and mainly, support.

  • Complicated unload of photos and videos. Other then that the camera is great

  • So incredibly bummed!! The main reason I got this phone was for its ability to assign individual ringtones to my contacts. I have followed the instructions to a "T" but it doesn't work. Assigning a single ringtone to my profile is the option that works on this phone. I hate having only one song that plays over and over for every single caller. I like to know whose calling before I go digging around in my purse trying to find my phone. I thought I was doing something wrong or missing something in the instructions, but even my "tecnical genius" father couldn't get the instructions to work. We even save all the settings and nothing! So incredibly bummed. No individual ringtones and no games.

  • Camera is great, that's it. How do you get the annoying ring tones from goin off on every pic? I'm going to unscrew this to take out the speaker, which it has no speakerphone anyways! Why! I notice alot of people asking this, why? I can get 600 858x1144 pics with a 128mb card, which is nice. Get a card reader if you want to move pics. The cable is pointless with the software except for doing the address book. You could hold an hour of video, but it only lets you do 10 secs at a time! WHY? With the 128 mb card in it still won't let you use your ring tones unless they are shrunk down to like 50kb, WHY? With the hardware on this phone, it's the software that is killing it. Is there anyone with a recommendation to find programs for this? Help me out hackers. [email protected]

  • i noticed that there were some questions about games that can be downloaded to sharo tm 150. guess what, i had exactly the same problems until i was able to. just go on a website called tagtag.com and click the button for wap sites that will be one of the choices on the top of the site and then click games and try out some of the waps. good luck

  • 3gforfree.com I didnt see anything for free. even after I signed up

  • i like t-mobile too. i have had very few problems with them, and the instore workers knwo what they are doing. i did finally get the games downloaded from 3gforfree.com. you can also download ringtones and screensavers. i just wish that it was mp3 compatable

  • I have a tm150. I like the size of the phone. I like the screen size of the phone. The camera is great if you hold it still but if you are moving its hit or miss. the SD card slot is the coolest feature because you can actually use the pictures on your computer instead of emailing the pictures to yourself and then getting em. - I wish I could turn off the shutter sound on the camera but I havent found the hack for that yet and I wish I could change the pink bar thats on the bottom of the display to a different color but.. oh well. talking on it is fine.

  • i just got this phone and i love it. i don't know why all you people are complaining about t-mobile, i love them too. i got the phone free when i activated service, so to me this was a great deal and a great phone.

  • i called sharp and they would not give me any support. they said that it was a tmobile only phone and that if i needed help to call them. some ppl at tmobile are not very helpful. if anyone knows where to get games for this phone, please let me know. i have tried the websites listed and they just dont work.

  • This phone is great; the only problem it have is a very short battery life especially after taking pictures, video or editing; and it have a low ringer volume even after setting it to the highest ring volume #5. I have not use it for game or for email, so i have no coment on this issues. It takes large and great and sharp pictures.

  • This phone is horrible! I lost the phone and didn't even bother to go back to look for it. (it was free from T-Mobile) This was my first experince with a Sharp phone and I must say they have a long way to go to even hang with LG or Samsung that I think have the most easy to use and logical menu structure. Here are some of the reasons I hated this phone and you might too: Cannot set appointment in calendar to alarm as a reminder. (what good is a having a calendar if the phone wont remind you?) Too many steps to answer call waiting and switch between calls. (doing this on this phone while driving is more dangerous than it should be) Cannot capture #'s from call log and save under name already in phone book.(you have to memorize or write the # down then go in and add it to phone book) Cannot change default calling # for phonebook contact. (the first # entered will always be first on the list to call. no good for speed dial.) No option to dial next number listed for person in phone book (you have to hang up and go back into phone book to select another #) The volume is too low and too many other shortcomings to list here. Basically the menu structure on this phone is the worst!! Stay away from sharp if you like a phone that is quick and easy to use without pressing a bunch of buttons. If all you do is just take pictures and text your friends then this is the phone for you.

  • This phone is great. If you want free ring tones? go to www.google.com type in free midis or go to www.mididb.com and find some there. after u download the ones you like u have to edit them because there so big(long). Then go to www.download.com and type in anvil studio which is a free download(midi editing program). It has NO spy or adware and run it. Then you can edit the length of them or just pick out your favorite part of the tones. I make my ringtone about 30 - 40 sec. Then after your SD card has been formatted by the phone stick the SD card in the computer then copy the edited midis off you comp. and paste them in the sounds folder on the SD card. Then from my sounds in the phone go to options then swith to data card and send the tones to your phone by selecting the midi then options then send or copy to handset. anyquestions on how to do this you can e-mail me at [email protected] If anyone knows how to get games on this thing pleeeeease let ME know thanks Rich

  • I love this phone!!! I got it about a week ago, for free from a T-mobile store. At first i had problems finding games, but after searching many sites, I finally found a site. All you have to do is go to t-zones, go to options and click go to URL, then type in www.3gforfree.com, then you can find ringtones, wallpaper, and games all for free. They games do look bootleg, but at least they are something. Does anyone know what it means when u go to URL and it says "Invalid entry. Please try again." It's really annoying. Please help!! I want to go back dowloading games and ringtones. THe camera is super clear, but u have to have a sturdy hand. Not many people have this phone, that's why i like it. If you are looking to get a phone, definitely get this phone!!! If you don't, u have no idea what ur missing!!!Does anyone know if your memory gets renewed each month or do u have to delete some things?Hope I was helpful.

  • i Wanna Know How I Can Record My Voice And Use It As A RIngtone

  • someone told me that i can record my own sounds and make it as a ringtone. first is that true? if it is can someone help me please i really nees your help i just got this phone and the ringtones programmed in it suck. ia desperate for help

  • The phone is really great. It takes great pictures great videos but for some dumb reason it doesn't download games. The Sharp company gave it a feature to select if you wanted to play games but it doesn't support it. I hate that I had to pay so much money for the phone that says it plays games but it really doesn't. Oh yeah it doesn;t have speaker phone either. Someone should contact the sharp company and tell them to add the support on the phone and give it to anyone that has the phone for free.

  • i just got the phone and i really like it, but haven't sorted out how to get the photos to my computer

  • don't even thin about getting a motorola, any motorola because it's not worth it, too much problem. get the sharp and you will be glad you did. the v300 is going to be discontinued, too much defective units and nothing good about v600, only bluetooth cabable.

  • I am planning on getting this TM150 and not to sure bout the reviews. Seems like you guys here aren't to happy with it. Please let me know what you think because i am torn between the TM150 and moto v600. I have a friend who bought Motorola V300 and absolutly regrets it. He said that i should not go for Motorola but i am not to sure. Please help!!!!!

  • I don't like it because i just got the phone and my sister has the same exact phone. I put my old SIM card into this new phone the same thing and when she trys to call me it says "Alert!" Or it'll read "ID witheld" The manual book doesn't say anything about that.

  • My wife just got a TM150 and likes it very much. She does however have the same complaint I hear in many places. "Where the heck are the games?" Article after article I see says that it has "builtin games' or that it can use Java based (J2ME) games. Where are these games available? T-Mobile doesn't have a clue! Is the data transfer cable needed to load the games once you find them?

  • After having used this phone for a couple of weeks, I can say that I like it, but don't love it. I agree with the 'where are the games?' statement. It's java enabled meaning we should be able to have them on there, but how? T-Mobile support said that the phone was incapable of using hi-fi ringtones, but I assured them that I could. I was able to create my own .mmf files using a little program called mobile music polyphonic, (google it) but for them to work, the file needs to be less than 50 KB. Just put the file on your SD card and transfer it to the phone from there (if you can successfully navigate the confusing menu system). Overall, the phone gets a 7. No games and no MP3 capability really hurts it.

  • does this phone support mp3? if not, then the memory card is just for pictures?

  • The ringer volume is so, so low and the available ringer tunes are so limited that it practically makes the phone useless, except if one holds it near his ear all the time...Otherwise 90% of calls are missed. WELCOME ANY SUGGESTIO ON HOW TO INCREASE THE RINGER VOLUME? Mine is on #5...Picture quality not that great compared even to the Motorola 300 and the shutte is slowe than in other camers phones .. Phone metal surface makes it very slippery. Battery life is extremely short, if one takes pictures etc. Less than 30 minutes of talk and 2 days stand-by.

  • Ok, every site i have been to says this phone has games... I called t-mobile and they say it doesnt support games!?!?! They said i need to buy software for it. I WANT GAMES WHERE DO I GET THEM.

  • Not a bad phone.I actually got this phone as a digital camera with the memory card. Missing features are a disapointment.Oh well.

  • Does any body know if you can use the reocrd a memo to record a song and use it as ur ring tone? plse email me i need to know

  • I have been looking for car charger and for a case so that way it will not get too scratch up. anyone know where you can find one? Pretty good phone just still trying to get used to it.

  • I like the phone, but I do wish there were more options on it. T-Mobile doesn't have any games for it. I also wish it would let me customize more things. Like Group names, add and remove groups. The camera looks really good for a cell phone and some of the features on it are nice.

  • does anyone know how to disable the scrolling feature on the external caller id on this dang phone ? and is the antenna replaceable? [email protected] .....ty.

  • cant believe there isnt a speakerphone here. youd think that w/ a speaker for the video recorder there would sure be one...not! what bs. also dont like that i cant turn off the scrolling feature on the external caller id. it should be up to me if i want it to scroll or be stationary. more bs.

  • Navigating thru the menus on this phone is quite a task. The features are nice, but its complicated to get to them. I signed up with T-mobile and chose the phone. The very next day, I returned it and chose the Samsung D-415 instead. I love my motorola's and will stand by them. Oh by the way, the MP3 ringtones on the TM-150 & the D-415 SUCK! I guess I've just been spoiled with my previous Moto. I will return to moto as my next phone, guaranteed. I do like Panasonic phones too. But I'll see how T-Mobile & Samsung does for the 1yr I'm with them.

  • When it all comes down to it, this is an amazing phone! The phone has literally just recently been released and most companies are still playing catch-up, so for now, games and accessories are not readily available. The picture quality is by far the best I've seen on any phone. Period. Same with the video. The ringtones are clear and crisp. Battery life is OK, but when you realize the feature's you'll understand why. Not to mention the best by far reception with its service provider (this phone was only released to one cellular phone service provider)and the clarity and volume of the calls is a testament to it's construction. I have had many phones, and changed services multiple times, the phone and the service provider are by far the best yet! Any questions? P.S. If you want a good phone, you need to put money into it! This phone is well worth it!

  • can this phone play mp3?

  • Howard forum is too tightly locked. You can't express freely. junk site.

  • check out WWW.HOWARDFORUMS.COM for support and all your ringtone/java app help and stuff...

  • hey guys does anyone know how to make the phone answer by just opening it coz i have to press a key everytime i have to answer the call. let me know thanks

  • I got Sharp TM150 and I have this one huge question! where can i find ring tone? my mom's cell phone has 30 but mine has none~ is it me who doesn't know or cell phone that ain't got ring tone? if u know the answer plz send me email to [email protected] thanks~

  • i dont think there is a I R port

  • about the best in the US for now. Although the price with activation with T-mobile is still too expensive and not many people is buying this unit.

  • Its a pretty good phone, but I cant find any games for it. If someone knows of a site to download games for it let me know

  • i just renewed my contract with tmobile and paid 200 dollars for my tm150. after rebate i would get it for 100 dollars. I cant wait to get my new phone, from reading i think its a good deal and a great phone.

  • i dun understand why SHARP is still unavailable in SG when the crappy Nokia is still ruling the mobile world here... *ARGH*

  • Really nice phone! great photo taking and picture quality. Phone looks good and stylish as well. I little big but hey its a video camera too.

  • A typical girl phone. Or for gay people? And the pink t-mobile brand! Horrible

  • tmobile is the best carrier out there...dont know why ppl are talking crap about it...

  • I have the Tm150.. And yes it works with a 512MB Sd card..

  • Hey guys. Bought a TM150 and am loving it. Not bothered about lack of bluetooth as can use the sd card easily with my laptop. Have my ipaq connected to the laptop in a cradle and simply slip the sd card into the ipaq and bingo. Lack of MP3 is a pain considering all the space on the card, but my ipod takes care of that anyway. Great screen and great camera. Everyone that sees it is VERY impressed with the pic quality. Anyway, my question is this. Where can I get games for it???? Can't find them anywhere!!!! Any ideas or links greatly appreciated.

  • you're righ david, the V600 is a piece of junk compared to the GX30/32! maybe the V600 has the bluetooth but not worth it. I feel sorry for those who bought the V600..... junk screen, VGA camera????? feature lacks soooooooooooooooo much compared to the GX30/32, they're way behind time

  • you should have bought the GX32 guy! The TM150 has a lot of "hole" on it so a lot of features are lacking. Good ol T mobile always have to delete good features to cut cost. BTW the TM150 is expensive! they should have made it more affordable for their customer.......

  • I have this phone and have had a really hard time getting support for a problem on it. It takes and displays pictures nicely, but when it writes to the SD card it corrupts the file in some way. When I copy the files to Windows they are crap - won't even open in most viewers. Of course if you upload to T-Mobile gallery they look fine. Even viewing them with the phone off of the card they are OK, so they have some kind of screwed up stuff going on. T-Mobile doesn't know how to support the phone and Sharp said that T-Mobile is the only one who can support. What a bunch of BS. Sound quality is pretty poor for a newer phone and it doesn't have very configurable ringtones (SMAF and MIDI only). I'm disappointed.

  • Sharp TM-150 is way better than Mot v600 or any gsm phones out there in the US Market. For myself I have a sharp gx30. basically tm150 and my gx30 are the same.

  • very nice phone,i'll like to own it.what is it's price?

  • Sky, get the TM150 rather than the V600. you'll be glad you did. The resolution on the camera, screen, video length is alot better on the TM150, the only drawback is no flash. There is a memory card on the TM150 versus no memory card on the V600. Go for the TM150! You won't regret!

  • where can i get wall charge

  • i was wondering if you can help me decide between sharp tm150 or the moto v600 i am very torn between the two of these phones Please Help Me Decide

  • doesnt look nice i wonder its features are like though

  • skater42, TFT and other screen is the same. There's no difference that you can tell. just how it's manufactured makes the difference, not how the screen appears, humans can't tell the difference.

  • It looks wonderful but does anyone know how much memory it can have on Memory? i know it has 6MB shared memory but can you use a 64MB or 128MB memory card on this phone? If you can then I would seriously consider buying this Sharp TM150 it is so cool.

  • Come on people this is a Nice design on a brilliant phone. The 256k screen is going to be awesome and excellent with the 1 megapixel camera. I think this phone will ROCK. It looks fantastic design. If you REALLY want to complain about design I suggest you go to the Nokia page and see the dozens of latest atrocious designs by Nokia now they are Horrid designs.

  • i want to buy samsung p730 from you and i want you to give me the price including shipping fee, and i want it to be deliver it to my residence in nigeria.i'm waiting to hear from you.

  • i want to have this celphone

  • i have been with tmobile since 98 i have no problem with there services

  • This phone really sucks other than its picture quality and its camera it is way to big

  • I don't know about you but i recon sharp should start using SYMBIAN!! I think with their excellent features, symbian would just be the extra topping. think of a sharp GX30 with symbian OS. how much more power would you want. it would be the ULTIMATE!! wow, or a touchscreen on the TM100 with symbian and UIQ. IT would just be a copy of the P900 but what the heck, I would still buy it. PLEASE SHARP HEAR MY CRY.

  • what the...........lol.........pffft wot a pathetic fone it dont even look nice and its on t-mobile lol now that just completes it eh wot a load of shit....duz anyone agree

  • It's only from t-mobile anyway, what do you expect?????

  • well as long as it is only on wankey t-mobile its ok

  • Inside and outside a feminine design for girls!

  • i donno what f**kin features this got to rate it as 8.4

  • well this phone's colour looks bad...i don't like it... is not even better then TM 100

  • Hmmmm...The phones style is kinda boring. A mix between the GX30 and GX20. With this exact color scheme it looks like if someone put a bathing suite over it. Nice features though, even though I wouldn't want to switch back to TFT. 256k color will do though. An SD extension is beautiful, but does it play MP3s? I'll need to find more details on this one, but it looks allright.
