When I signed up with my service provider this phone was one of the options to get. It was either free, or 40 bucks, I cant remember. But either way, It's not a bad phone for that price. With 2g of ram, and a decent little processor, the phone handles a lot of things really well. The volume and power buttons are cheap though, so I don't expect them to last forever. But the screen looks and feels good, and responds well. I've dropped it plenty of times and it gets the edges beat up but my screen hasn't cracked yet. I think the phone may cause feedback through some audio devices, but that could just be the things I am using. Overall, 7/10, would definitely use again in a pinch for the right price.

Bought this phone a year ago and can't afford a new one. Complete dud. The volume is very low, and when I plug my earbuds in sometimes the volume goes all the way down and won't go back up. Typing gives me a headache. It vibrates at random, and restarts at random as well. The phone has been laggy since day one, and the charge doesn't hold. I even had a problem changing the phone background, because it moved the image to the left. Can't wait to be able to replace it, and throw it in the trash!

I got the phone because the price was good and it seems to have everything I needed listed at the store. I had no idea what kind of phone it really was, I should have looked it up and I regret it. I am trying to have the phone for one solid year and with only 3 months left I don't think it will make it. The charge doesn't hold, it downloaded a ton of apps that are apart of this big update it did and now everything sucks. My contacts keep getting deleted, I can't put the phone in 'lock' when on a call so it eats battery like mad when I call. The lag is insane, forget getting any pictures. If it doesn't freeze and crash first. I have no space and had to remove a ton because of the updates that eat my memory. The photo's are a joke, I was told it was decent but this is beyond bad. The LED notification light on the front kills your eyes when reading at night and charging. I have tried everything to block it, usually black tape. The cases for the phone are all rubbish, I have been through too many. I get horrible service, and forget getting voicemail. It never tells me I had a call if I have no service or its shut off. My voicemails come a week later if at all. The day I get a new phone I am going to hammer the tar out of this thing so no one should ever suffer this beast of pain and agony.

Worst nightmare when it comes to phones & asked questions before bought it...got the first one in Sept of 2017 now on third one Jan 2018..every one of them automatically answered..n metro pcs kept replacing of course with same kind I'm not paying them to upgrade ...but now I have no lock screen...can't update apps...multipul functions not working...talked with a corporate store in January it's now February ...called other day again...but at time in January only we're going to replace it with same kind....emailed corporate in January and told them would have no problem complaining to the better business bureau...if they have a serious garbage phone like this one ....they need to keep the customer as one and replace it with another kind of choice of equal value....and all the accessories too free....

I hate this raggedy phone. Has a mind of it's own. Stops charging whenever it feels like it. I charged it for 6 hours and it went from 39% to 67%.Unbelievable.I took it back to the store and the Clerk updated the software. It started charging normally for 3 days, then barely charging at all. It changes wallpaper and my ringtone at random. It starting losing my contacts. Never saw such a creepy phone. It's only 4 months old. I'm buying an Apple tomorrow and will never buy another phone from this company again!

Worst phone I've ever owned! Will connect to Bluetooth in your car when it wants and not work the next day, same with connecting to WiFi. Idiots at metro will be more than happy to tell you this pos phone and metro won't do anything to compensate or train their people to guide you to a better choice. So yeah it's a perfect phone for a hammer or a semi truck to run over!!! I spent $90 and now will be purchasing another phone before the first month of owning this pos is over:( don't buy ever ! This is a pretty reliable phone and the price is excellent. I have videos on my youtube channel from recording using the camera which is HD. I use the battery saver mode a lot and it works like a charm. It is slow once in awhile, but a simple restart is all it needs and it'll work amazingly again. I do recommend for $110.

This phone when I got it, was to replace my Gallexy S Prime, which I regret doing. Fortunately, I still have my Gallexy, but that's beside the point. The phone is slow, in comparison, it lags, as mentioned in previous posts, the volume is reduced to half when attached to any aux cord or bluetooth devices, it sometimes powers off on it's own....the list goes on. The most recent issue to arrise is that now it doesn't power when attached to a charger. First I thought it was an issue with the charger, but after having tried multiple chargers and multiple outlets, it's clearly the battery. The issue started to become apparent to me after I noticed it had issues retaining life, which I blamed on having apps run in the background....but even after closing all unused apps, it still would drain at roughly 10% per 10minutes. The price of the phone was affordable, but it's still not worth the money you'll be wasting. I've only had my phone for about 8 months, and it is unacceptable that it at this point is now a paperweight. The biggest frustraition is that I cannot remove the battery, so I don't know if it's a battery issue or an issue with the phone overall. If you're looking for a decent phone that will do the job you need, I'd suggest not looking at this phone, rather look at the gallexies and spend the extra little bit of money to get the quality you're expecting to be pay for.

The Alcatel Fierce 4 is the worst phone I have ever owned. I am going back to Samsung Galaxy. My Alcatel often picks up on one ring by itself. The Bluetooth plays at about half of volume in the car. It is laggy and it sucks. I even tried resetting to factory preset and it still stinks. Thank you MetroPCS for selling me this crappy phone and not taking it back

I absolutely hate this phone, it won't power off, it randomly calls people when I lay it down and a lot of time it won't let me swipe and answer when someone calls. It has been freezing up on me and won't let me do anything and I have only had it since April. This phone needs to be dumped in the garbage but I paid good money for it and can't afford to just get rid of it. I bought it at Walmart and they won't stand behind it either.

Well I had the Alcatel One Touch fierce XL which I loved and the only reason I went with the fierce 4 is because it had a higher operating system than the 5 1.1. But I love this Fierce 4 because it do everything I need it to with no problems. I don't understand all the issues you all are having because mine is working perfect. I run my laptop, my wireless Hp printer and transfer files back and forward to Cloud location. The battery life is great and talk time is magnificent. Oh and by the way don't forget to update your phone to the 6.0.1 version.

This is the WORST phone I've ever had! I've had this phone a few weeks and its driving me crazy. I even tried to take it back the next day and the incompetent lying staff at Metro PCs made me keep it. First off, I can't turn my phone completely off...only vibrate. Its hard to cut on, I like a button on the front versus the side. And you must press it pretty hard for it to work. The camera gets this foggy/fuzzy look to it. I googled it and see I'm not the only one with the camera problem either. I will also call someone and they can't hear me. But after that happens I can normally call right back and it will work. Of course, the volume is off as others has mentioned as well. Just don't use the phone in loud areas??? I really should have kept my Samsung! Don't waste your money on this phone.

I hear you guys about volumn especially with headsets however default value with headsets is about 75%. You can increase that simply by increasing the volumn and approving the high volumn warning. So far it's outstanding other than not being able to save to sd unless you slave the sd storage to the phone.

I've been with alcatel for more than 2 years. Before this phone, I had the Alcatel One touch fierce 2. I have nothing but beautiful memories with that phone. It was great all around and did things great for a budget 40 dollar phone. After its breaking, I bought this Fierce 4 thinking it would only be better. I was unfortunately very mistaken as far as SPEAKER and EARPHONE VOLUME goes. It's so low. Very very dissapointing. But other than that. The phone has a very nice interface, especially with Nova Launcher installed. Gives you a real Stock Android feel.

The Fierce 4 comes with the option of using your SD card to increase the phone's memory already built in, so if you use a 64GB SD card, your memory will increase and use the card as memory and automatically puts all your media, contacts and settings and so on in it. So you really don't need any third party apps.

I have an Alcatel TRU that has the same problem of hanging up in the middle of a call, the solution is to not let your "ear" touch the screen while you talk, you have to hold the phone at an angle to avoid touching the screen. I'll be getting a Fierce 4 myself next month, I hope it's not as bad as some people here make it out to be, but, if anything..it has to be better than my TRU.

I got this phone as part of a promotion and I must say that I totally HATE it. The caller's cannot hear me, and when I power it down for the night, it turns back on. Don't get any of the Alcatel phones. This is my second one and they are all no good.

You and your friend need to try a different cable. Yes, it makes a big difference. I can do a full charge from 5% in just under 3hrs...phone on, data.on , wifi.on, gps off. If I use a thinner USB cable that came with Bluetooth speaker, it willl take 10-12hrs.

A minor step up from the Alcatel Fierce XL especially in the casing. Volume isn't as loud as I had hoped but still suffices. Very user friendly and has brighter colors then the XL. It does take a while to charge but the battery life can last all day assuming you aren't constantly on it. I personally do not despise the launcher but I preferred one that I found from Microsoft because it had more customizable options. The camera is good even for someone who takes pictures professionally. You can honestly get some magnificent looking pictures if you try.

To put things on your SD card, download an app called App manager (mgr) III (3). I have used it for a few years and love it. My daughter and boyfriend both use it now as well and it saves a lot of phone memory and is easy to use. It also allows you to clean all the cache on your phone at once.

Ever since I got it I have not been able to use the ear phone jack, the speakerphone doesn't work, when people call me they can't hear me, when I use my talk-to-text it turns my words around, my keyboard hardly ever works and my screen is unresponsive most of the time. The biggest of all is it shuts itself off and won't turn back on for a couple of hours. I hate this phone it is the worst phone I've had altogether. Alcatel is junk don't buy it!

I have had this fierce 4 for about 6 days and hate it. Takes 6.5 hours for full charge while off. Discharges while plugged in and on. That is after a proper reset with updates and no new apps added. There are many "volume boost" apps, but some work better than others. For this phone, the one called "Volume Booster GOODEV" will eliminate any low volume issues and turn this phone into the loudest phone you ever heard.

This phone is beginning to give me a headache. Yes, I loved the fact that it offers more Ram and has the 5.5 screen, but the screen is constantly freezing up on me. Even when I am getting ready to text, the screen is not able to keep up with the speed. I am not a super fast texter but there is always a hesitation after I type a letter. Phone is ok for the investment $69. However, I was very disappointed this phone has DOES NOT support USB Host Mode aka "USB OTG". Which is very disappointing since it's almost identical predecessor (Fierce XL) support OTG. It's missing usb host.xml file in permissions directory and no voltage at the plug.. No Compass App, but it does have an E-Compass Sensor. If needed, you can download a 3rd party Compass, or since it's running 6.0, I just copied over an OEM Alcatel Compass .Apk from an older phone via EsExplorer to SD card. Band 12, VoLTE, Wi-Fi calling does work well with T-Mobile / MetroPCS (if available in your area) LED notification is a single color and doesn't see to respond to any 3rd party apps for user customization. Sure with there was a root available.

For $50 I walked out of metro pcs with a 5.5" screen, 2gigs of ram, a 5mp front facing camera, and marshmallow... Including a month of service. Its not perfect but the only complaint I have is lack of volume

I know this is an econo car-ish Smartphone and that's okay with me. It has a 5.5 inch screen which has resolution that is good enough for me. It is good looking and seems solid in build for being plastic. It seems to have full functionality with all of Android 6's software and Apps. Speaker(s?) work well as do earbuds and my bluetooth headset. I'm SURE more expensive new model smartphones do things slicker. For a person on a tight budget, I'd recommend this smartphone.

I agree completely. It dies faster than any phone I've ever had, everything on the phone is insanely quiet, and it's not super fast either. It tends to lose service regularly, thinking that my sim card is invalid, and it's definitely not. I also noticed that it'll randomly cut parts of music out... Miss a not or tiny syllable or something like that. "Call" would become "all", and the likes. It's not a huge problem, but it's insanely annoying.
