Maybe because the app is more powerful than you phone or you have too many app on your mobile phone and it became slow and not working how it used too. Try to reset you mobile phone (Factory Data Reset) to clean your phone from everything. if the problem continues then the mobile phone is weaker that the app.

I agree the phone is not exactly something good but, 5020W model come with 1GB of ram and it is much better and it come with Android OS, v4.1 (Jelly Bean) has no official update for android 4.4.1 so if you 're something improvised therefore not working as it should .

if you want to improve battery then there are little tricks , first delete all useless applications and those that are in the program and do not need you you can not delete it , but you can do the 'disable' and make them easier work for the program. 2. If you installed the Facebook application then delete facebook work in background all the time and recive data manual uses the logging via the browser. 3 Turn off Wi -Fi, through the night 4. its good I've had it for 2 years not no problems at all the only problem is the battery it runs out pretty quick ita a good phone for just calling and messaging for like business stuff but if its for gaming or watching videos or movies or like youtube its not the kind of phone you want. The battery is only 1400 mAH so its not that big.

Had this phone for 2 years now (5020X) and it's obviously a budget phone so it can't be great. My variant has 512MB of RAM and that's it's biggest issue. Can't browse internet, Chrome crashes. Tried Opera, that crashes as well, all due to lack of RAM. Most mobile variants of websites work because they're not as resource intensive, but some still crash my browser. Plus side is that I have 2.3GB of internal storage reserved for apps, so at least I don't have issues on that part. I can leave a lot of free space for my phone to work somewhat alright. Another bad thing is battery, it overheats too much too often. I only use my phone for YouTube app nowadays and that's when all overheating happens. I can watch videos for about 2-4 hours before my battery is drained. If I'm not using it at all, it will last several days. Those who have issues with battery drain in standby probably do because of some apps they installed. Maybe you should ditch the Facebook app or anything that runs in background so aggressively. After 2 years of owning this phone, the only thing that sometimes doesn't work is orientation and it suddenly stops working after my phone overheats. A phone with specifications like this won't hold itself well in 2015 and with it's 1400mAh battery, it's not for heavy usage. You'll just have to dish out more shekels if you want a good phone.

Almost none of the apps work, the phone is terribly slow, it shuts down in the middle of a call and it receives every message three times. The charger broke in a few months since purchase. I've had this phone for 9 months, and every month is worst than the last. The battery lasts MAYBE 4 hours, and even when asleep or off, will continue to die very quickly. Also, be prepared to spend about 20$-30$ a month on chargers, because even fully-functioning ones will stop working for your phone! I have a pile of working chargers that I can use to charge my other Android devices, but not my phone. The memory is only 2G, with about 1.5G of it already being used up be pre-downloaded, mostly pointless apps. Even after getting an SD card, only certain apps can be moved to the SD card, rendering it basically pointless. The signal on it is absolutely terrible; if I put it in my pocket it will lose service. I'll go from having 4 bars one second, to 0 bars to 4 bars again! Also, need to have your 3G in a flash? Don't get this phone! You have to wait for the signal bars to turn from white to blue, which can take two seconds or two hours. The same with your wifi signal, although that is usually faster. If you need to be able to answer calls frequently, forget this phone! Almost every phone call I get, my phone freezes and won't let me answer the call. Additionally, if you need to dial an extension, forget it; it will just hang up that call and call the number you just dialed. The camera is 5.0 mp, and in all honestly not all that bad. But the camera app will freeze on you, or just not let you take pictures. You can't sort photos into albums, by the way; the phone makes their own for you. And sometimes, it will just forget you already have a "Screenshots" folder and make a new one, even though you already have one. Midway through this month, my phone told me that I can't update or download any apps, because there is insufficient space left on my device - I have 5GB left. Want to play games? Forget it! The lag is terrible. And charging itself? It takes probably 2 hours to fully charge if it's off, and 5 if it's on. And if you're using your phone while it's charging? At least 10 hours. Music plays alright, but it drains the battery. YouTube is terribly lagged, the same with any other video programs. If you want to put a background on your phone (wallpaper), make sure it's just a colour with no design. When cropping the photo, 90% of it gets cut out. It also shifts over for every home page you have. You also have to have the same picture for your lockscreen. The keyboard is also incredibly lagged. And sometimes, it'll just completely ignore that you've typed an entire paragraph, and either replace every other letter with a number or accented letter, or it'll just type one or two words. Also, there is no front or back flash on this phone. The front camera is horrendous. The Internet is terribly slow, even if your internet is the highest speed available. When downloading pictures, it won't acknowledge that you've saved them, either until 10 minutes later, or never. Also, this phone crashes at least 5 times a day. And when it's restarted after crashing, if you don't manually restart it, it will keep crashing until you restart it. And every time it crashes, it loses probably 10% of its battery. Do yourself a favour and don't get this phone.

use Kingo the device then use a program to set cpu to max upon boot, also delete any stuff you dont want off it to make it a bit faster mine is ok after doing all this plus battery last a bit longer now to :) dunno if there any roms yet but follow instructions on google to insstall CWR witch has root installed and do not need root with Kingo mine is Alcatel One Touch 5020X

Actually I got it as idea aurus3 in India.. I am using this for one year and my experience: Display : not bad at this price but too bad under sun. Min brightness is too high if we r in indoors Performance: 6.5/10 , not too lag but somewhat while playing some games Touch : average only Camera : in daylight fine for the price but at night too poor Gaming: 7.3/10 mc4, asphalt 8, GTAsa, gta3, dead trigger, six guns etc are tested and all works but not too fine. Some times closes by low memory Battery: it is the worst I think. For Norma use 6 -9 hours Moderated 3-5, web browsing 2-3, gaming 1.5 to 2.5, It takes 2 hours to fully charged. It also heats fast. Battery heats very fast. So in my opinion its waste of money. I brought it for 6k and Now for this price several others are available... So choose wisely..

The battery life is really good I listen a lot to music and watch u tube it works well and don't take long time to charge it again. The only flaw （relative to same price field products） is the camera can't autofocus. The root method and the stock rom(V2 version) can be found at and After root it, you can simplify the system through 3rd party app(I use LBE security,even can delete the embedded apps). Then the OS will run more smoothly.Even though it is just sole-core cellphone, the simplification measures are essential.

Had this phone for three month works well. Use battery manager to get 36 hours of battery life. I run my opsys with automatic update turned off and wifi only when i need it. The battery manager should have been included in phone but i guess an app will take care of that. I like that i can charge my battery to 80% and discharge to 10%. If u let the battery go to o it will count as a full discharge cycle and the bms(battery minder) on the battery will set the discharge counter. Othr than that it works fine on WIND and doesent have too much crapware. I also like that even if there is no operator card i can still use my phone like a tablet and i switch to any provider if i want to.THIS IS TRULY MY PHONE :-)

On special this phone is dirt cheap, hence its crucial flaws. Battery screen time is around the 4 hr mark, data packet signal is slow to lock on to initially, and loses functionality the further you venture into a concrete building. As with any phone running on pre kitkat with minimal Ram, management is vital. The battery charges well and behaves after the initial couple of days - just keep it from getting hot. The battery takes a very long time to charge. I tried to time it but fell asleep. Then to top that off the battery when being used sucks the power up and dies in about 2hrs and I do the whole wait till it's all out of power then charge it all the way. This phone is crap! Why does it beep loudly in my ear whenever I make a phone call? How can I disable the light in the corner? its REALLY annoying! Why is there no option to auto-rotate the screen? Disappointing battery life. Whenever I'm on the internet it will randomly freeze, black out then take me back to my home screen. Very, VERY slow in regards to typing. I have this phone, have been using it since november last year. and I personally think this phone is ok, for those pressed on budget but still want a good smart phone this is okay. my only complaint is about the touch screen getting glitchy and not registering proper touches on it when the hadnset gets hot. usually after browsing the web for about 2 hours. battery wise it depends on the usage. if you're always online like me, your battery wont last the day. probs half the day. thats why i have a spare batt. i recommend this for anyone looking for a temp phone until you can upgrade to something better.

well you use your 3g data and watch a movie that's why you drained your batt fast.try lowering your screen brightness and keep ur ring volume to at least 1/2 of full volume,it could help.got several android phones of different brands and i can say they're all heavy on power usage even if you only use 2g data or turn your data off.symbian/java phones even if i didn't turn off my 3g data lasts me at least 11hrs on straight music in full volume while androids 7hrs.

As we all know, it's so annoying to have your phone saving you money on your data plan by using wifi; the M'Pop saves us from this by constanty being unable to keep connected to wifi. Ok, after using this phone for almost a year, I want to say what I really think of it. Phone itself wouldn't be bad, if there was little support available. I contacted alcatel with few question, I got reply that seems to be written by three years old , not technical support. I tried finding tutorial on rooting this phone, only few people did it so far and some bricked it, so for average user it's too risky+no community support like applying cyanogenmod, it's unlikely it will ever move from vulnerable 4.1.1 v which is huge deal breaker since hrartbleed and so on. It would be very nice smartphone if it had little more popularity

Yes, I also experienced that same frustrating issue, but I figured out why it's happening... There is a proximity sensor left to the front camera, and when you are in the "messages", if you go over it with your hand it places a call to the person you are sms-ing. Try not to go with your hand over it, cause there is no way to turn that option off. By the way I am very satisfied with this Phone regarding price/quality.

I hate the phone and its warranty service; why? because it developed software problem within two months of purchase, gave it for repair, was told will get it back in 2-6 weeks, now it is more than 8 weeks still haven't got it. I'd like to know if anyone else has this issue. When I text someone, the phone will automatically place a call to that person. Very frustrating. Especially if I need to text and NOT call them. Related; when the phone is turned on it's side, to use larger keys in the text app, it will place the call more quickly. I don't think the phone was designed to call someone by waving your hand, closely over the screen either. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

I think that you should not change it. I have it for about two months and despite the fact that it needs charging everyday, the phone is great! But if you want to buy a phone that has better battery life, then ok, you should try maybe Samsung phones. Hope that i helped you ;)

received fone 4 days ago as free upgrade from cell provider. when turned on it sometimes takes 20 or more depressions of icon to select phone or google. blue border around icon lights up but phone does not respond. battery life is less than 12 hours. fully charged overnight and error message displayed that something could not access something else and gave choice of force close or wait. when force close selected screen dimly glowed purple and phone would not turn on until battery removed for about a minute. battery was extremely hot. might be a good phone if it would work more than 10 percent of time and would not try to burn the house down.

HELP from the philippines! got this phone via contract from one carrier here in our country last October.. after a month or so of accepting a FOTA or Firmware over the Air update, the phone has gotten bouts of screen ON/OFF. The screen goes totally OFF and black and then resumes ON with what you were last doing on the phone. A factory reset was done around 3 times but still there is no alleviation of the problem. I don't have an Alcatel phone, but I have a similar problem. My phone will say I am connected, but when I go to use it there's nothing. I almost always have to disconnect then reconnect. I often I have to reboot. This only happens on my android phone. My windows phone doesn't have the problem. My son has a different flavour of android and he has no problems. I have had android before and it can be very inconsistent between versions.

(; however, it is true that there isn't much space, but you can get an SD card if you'd like to download more onto it. For battery, it does go fast, but unless you're a teenager who spends a lot of time on your phone, or someone who would like to work often on your phone, the battery is definitely sufficient for a day. I do like this phone, i am using the Pro version of Smart Launcher and i love it, it lessen the hanging of my phone, then i always close all the apps that i am not using. coz if you just left if Open it will consume your battery... All andriod phones has the same problem, It's actually up to the user. Expect that if you have Android and you always use to play games and others it will really consume your battery.

I've got this phone for a few days ago. I can say this phone is really awesome and I don't have battery life issues. One Touch Manager is not an app for your phone, so that's a lie right there. You can bring up screen for killing apps with quick press of the bottom right touch button, you don't even need additional apps for it.

umm this phone is really great but i have 2 compains, baterry last short 3:30 - 4 h with internet, opera and a bit of everything. Second complain is that this phone dont have task manager so to turn off apps so it wouldn't drain baterry in standby is not short time it last 1 - 2 minutes. If anyone have solution please tell. Task killers from google market dont really works, aps start again in couple of moments

I guess I got lucky with battery. Charged it overnight, used it only to play one match of Spider Solitaire today, it's midnight and I have 95% of battery left. My brightness is on lowest, though. I have no complaints whatsoever, except that touchscreen at the edges of screen doesn't seem to be very accurate, which I wouldn't notice if it wasn't for Spider Solitaire. It also seems to be happening only there, so maybe it has nothing to do with phone itself. Phone is pretty fast, no lag, can play 3d games (tried only with Sims Freeplay, lags a bit sometimes but overall it's ok), has enough internal memory space. The camera is a bit annoying, it doesn't focus when holding shutter button, instead it takes pictures as long as you don't let go. Maybe downloading another camera app would fix that, I have yet to try that out. I'm satisfied, it's good enough for it's price.

I don't understand everyone commenting on poor battery life. This is my second smartphone, my last one was Alcatel OT-990, and the battery on that one was poor. It could barely last entire day, it would mostly drain by 3 pm most days. This one can handle moderate use. Battery drains about 1% per 5 minutes when playing games, which is alright with me, because it's good enough for killing some time. I don't keep Wi-Fi on if I'm not using it either, so I suppose that helps. I didn't check how fast it drains when I'm listening to music, but it's not too bad. When on stand by, battery doesn't drain almost at all, and I reckon stand-by time listed in specifications isn't too far off. By now, I'm already used to charging my phone every day, because battery on my last one would drain overnight even if I had 50% left, but this one isn't like that. It lasts a day with no problem, and if not used much, it can last 2 days. I don't know what do you all expect from a smartphone battery, this one is pretty average. It's not poor.

i'm using this phone for a week now, and i'm pretty satisfied (my first smartphone so i can't compare with others). battery lasts long enough if you don't use it all the time. on idle without gps/wifi active, it can last a couple of days without charging, with gps / wifi or some tracking app in background active - day or two. if you use it constantly, then 2, 3 hours max. it helps if you lower the display brightness on minimum. as for the performance, everything is working ok, although there is some freezing in firefox when trying to open play store. it occured after i installed system update (and i also lost home screen rotation (orientation)) so i recommend not to install any updates offered if your phone is working ok. camera is ok, images are not super sharp and clear but are usable. video recordings are good (720p), there are samples on youtube.

Good phone. the only downside is that the battery is draining fast because of the light notification for the new incoming messages until you read it, also especially when the battery gets low, the light beside the secondary camera keeps on blinking so the reason why the battery drains fast, and no way you could turn it off. I got this phone last week from sun cellular the battery last longer actually i charged my phone last thursday night then the battery was drained just this morning (saturday) everything works fine. It has no flash in the back camera but the price is worth it. Resolution of the camera is very fine. Recommended :)

I just bought this one couple of days ago, and im pretty satisfied considering the price. It is the best android phone in it's price range. Even though i read a lot of negative comments about the battery, i can say im satisfied with it. With WiFi on, watching youtube videos, having run FB and Twitter in the same time, it lasted for 5 and a half hours. I am quite supriced why doesn't the phone records in 720p as advertised though. Max resolution for video is 480p. Other than that, very nice, recommended.
