Well, I must be the luckiest Pixi 4 owner in the world lol. Mine is being one of the best phones I've had, and I run my own business supplying I. T. stuff so I can choose any I'd like, and I get to play/test dozens each month. Mine is the 16Gb version, standard android v6. The it's very fast, and no lag at anything, but no crashes, perfect control, fast Internet, plays any game I've tried, and downloads 2 films happily while playing a 3rd on YouTube without a stutter. The camera, considering its supposed to be rubbish, is fast, clear, responsive and has loads of good options for great photos even indoors in bad light. So far? I've not found one thing I hate or that doesn't work, I can't understand why others have had so many problems. Well, I give it 8 out of 10 so far. Been using it daily for 5 weeks. I'm just lucky? LoL

My problem with Cricket and the Idol 4 Don't get a Cricket phone before reading my story first. In their first reply on Crickets Facebook page. I thought that I had a chance to get a different phone. My bad for thinking that. Even Crickets Facebook page gave me the run around. ‎Crickets customer service is one the worst departments I have had to deal with. I've had better service with ATT&T and not as many problems with Straight talk or Metro PCS. I've had both Crickets warranty and Alcatel customer service tell that to get a different Phone meaning not an Idol4 cause of all the same problems with 2 Idol 4 that I had to go through customer service. Either there training is so bad or the company tells them, employees, to give their customers the run around till they give up. Why would I want a third Idol 4 phone if I've had the same problems the biggest is it getting too hot to touch? It's a safety problem. I've had the bad luck of dealing with Daniel ID# 2464832 and Sarah Id# SS814U But I've had 4 Different calls into Cricket that I've spoken to 6 different customer care, 5 managers, and 1 Supervisor. I've had this phone since August 2017. Yes, the camera is not great at all. Slow, yup. But, I didn't expect much, so I haven't put it through steneous use. I guess that's why it has been decent. Not the best, true. But, I really can't complain. Though, Alcatel should upgrade these things.

If you want to get rid of the bloatware you have installed with the firmware, you can go to settings>apps>system apps>clear data and disable. In order to make every app eligible to be moved to microsd card you need to go to settings>about phone>software information> you have to tap on that item until "developer mode activated". You go to settings main menu and just near about phone it will appear a new item, the "developer mode". You activate it and search in that list for this option, for sure is there. If found it called " make any app eligible to move to external storage, you activate it and you're done! Now you are able to move any app on external storage.

I wanted a cheap phone that did the basics with just one or two extra apps. It is an absolute P.O.S. it can barely run itself never mind apps. You can't get any of the bundled stuff to migrate to the memory card, so it runs at almost full to the brim on internal space all the time. I feel instead of it working for me, I am working for it with the constant messages to boost, and free space. The camera is crap, the whole bloody phone is crap.

It's memory is terrible, it's DAMN slow and it has an app called Apps that can download potentially harmful apps onto the device - there was a warning sign from Google Play stores when I was scanning my device!! I had this phone six months ago and had to have it changed to a brand new one as I thought it was a one off manufacture issue. One of the many issue was that, if I receive a text message it would resend it to me at least 38 times over a week period. within a few months of receiving the new phone there was even more issue than with the previous phone. Six months later and the phone is doing exactly as per above. it would seem cheap has turn out to be more expensive and problematic.

I have searched for an opinion board for this phone. I couldn't wait to say something. This is without a doubt the absolute worst phone I have ever had. Its slow, so damn slow. The apps, browser, hell everything freezes and doesn't work correctly. Its a cheap phone but its not worth a penny. If you have a choice between a dirty penny on the ground in an alley, or this phone. The penny would and should be your choice. Phones this poorly made should be against the law. Do not buy this phone please. I am tempted to collect names and numbers to file a class action lawsuit against this company and the worst phone in the history of humanity.

Since the summer 2017 system upgrade, the phone often freezes, like perhaps once a day, It also has connectivity problems (I have to switch from 4G/3G to 3G/2G to reset, and back again). It also had bad battery and became slow until I loaded up an app to spin down background apps and unloaded facebook and facebook messenger. While the connectivity problems and freezing still happens, it's now fastish (though still requires rebooting now and then) and the battery lasts a good while. There was something pretty bad about that update.

This phone is a piece if shit. After 1 month of owning it the soft keys (home, back, recent apps) quit working and the auto rotate quit working, says "binary file error." The 2 year warranty is a joke also, I contacted Alcatel who says they doesn't support this phone anymore. Shit shit shit.

Have owned this phone for about 4 months. After about 1 month the bottom soft keys quit working (same thing happened on the ZTE avid trio this replaced) No support from Alcatel. Have been using a soft key app so phone is still usable.

i also hav a problem with internal storage which i saw online as 16gb but its actually 8gb wit only 1gb remaining after d factory apps dat can't be uninstalled.... it's so frustrating plus even after u save sd as preferred storage, u still cant download new apps as u keep having d notification to delete some apps as memory is insufficient....

Yes not the best phone ever built but it is impossible to get more phone for less. It streams videos, play games and music and makes phone calls. other people complain about the speed and memory both can be made better with a memory card. I used to have iphones on 2 year contracts but after them either getting dropped or the battery just dying completely after a year then paying through the nose to repair them I decided to go cheaper. The alcatel is £70 for a whole new phone you can't even repair any other phone for less than that.

This phone is a piece of s***. It has very little internal memory which is 95% taken up by all the obligatory Android apps that Google pushes onto it. Then it has the worst possible obligatory app called "Launcher" which bombards you with ads for games and other useless programs. Not enough? It is very slow, sometimes just stops working. A real nightmare. I just sent two of them to the trash bin.

I'm actually loving my Alcatel pixi 4 4g, but I have a big problem. I use my phone mainly for music and when I play it through my car stereo. The sound is very bad. Sometimes it's fine, but more often than not. The sounds terrible. Not sure if some setting can put this write, but It's really annoying. Never had any problems running through my car with my iphone

Hello Linda check your device well, you might be running an app which is not meant for the device or you are over working device. if your call is been dropped, please talk to your telecom network and maybe it could be that you activated an option in the phone which is causing that call drop. when you don't answer your calls it becomes missed call so why are you saying the misses calls. please check your device well, don't expect your phone to charge over an hour whiles you've used the phone to drain all the power. thank you

You need to check the power lead connection to the phone. Can you see a lit blue led on the top left adjacent the camera located above the screen? If not you need to check if the power lead connection to the phone is a tight fit to work correctly.

ALCATEL PIXI4 (6) Possibly the worst phone I ever purchased is the Alcatel PIXI4 (6 inch) for $99 at Best Buy in March, 2017. Regret not returning within 14 days. I tried to sell it. No takers. The cons are rapid battery drain, poor brightness (display) and occasional chaotic/confused UI performance. I tried everything to get this A-Pixi4 to function right, but unsuccessful. Also: I own a LG Aristo, a LG Rebel..both are excellent phones that hold the battery charge well. I use as a primary phone, a ZTE ZMax Pro that has a good battery. Yeah for the price, size, +mem extra sd memory and a quite fast phone i love it i was on 2 yearly cotracts with 3 network my 1st - 2yr contract was £23 a month capped (moneys tight), next 2yr was a samsung S2 £28 a month, then my last was £30 a month hence a sim from my beoadband £7.75p a month and i use my broadband while home even though i get 2gb evry month they are WAY WORTH THE MONEY

I am one of them. Some people are afraid of losing their jobs and being out of work for months with a mortgage to pay, and don't want to spend any more money on a phone than they have to. I cant connect to any wifi anywhere on my phone anymore .. i know its the phone because i experimented in mcdonalds and my friends house a few times where my older phone could connect to wifi but the alcatel cant anymore it just says "saved" or " authentication problem" I cant even get free wifi at mcdonalds so if someone knows any solution besides "its my phone" please.

This phone is really good for the price. The screen looks great, the dual sim cards is a good feature and the call quality has been fine over the Cell connections and over WhatsApp and Google hangouts. The biggest problem with this phone is the battery is pretty weak and the camera isn't too great AND the Bluetooth sucks. The Bluetooth the connection is horrible.

i recently received this phone from my father roughly 2 months ago. I was happy with it and still am to an extent, however I have become recently displeased. for some reason my phone isn't charging properly. it isn't to the fault of the cord or the spot where you place the charger into. I do not move my phone around when it charges either. it just isn't charging though it registers as charging. I don't know how to fix this issue except purchase another phone.

Is this a secondhand phone? Whether new or secondhand, a hard reset will ask for that info and you put YOUR information in there. Without resetting my phone, I don't know if you can skip that step and then use the phone but you might be able too because that setting is for your backups or something if im not mistaken.

I wonder if there are various phones out there because the specs here are not 100% correct. I have the phone and I use 4G Lte and with Net10 (bounces around on the AT&T network). it has to do with your APN settings of your service provider and or the area you are in. Once my 3gig fast internet is up I get H or H+ instead of Lte. This also depends on the area I am in where the Lte is weak.

No, god knows it's probably a good phone but I just can't handle android after the plod/feds/the sweeney/the polis took my iPhone. Yes #*$%#*+€..... oh well.........and android gets so hacked so I am not putting my card details on it.... haha they came asking for the lock code for my iPhone as they couldn't get into it so I gave them it as I remotely wiped it through Find my iPhone 😁😁😁

It depends, but it likely has 1.5 or 2 GB of RAM when the 3G model usually has 1, and also 16GB storage when the 3G model usually has 8. Also 3G model has complaints about heating/battery. Seems like 4G fixed that. Also some editions have a fairly low res screen. The 4G I have has 244ppi which is good enough to read books.

Bought this Alcatel PIXI™4 a few days ago. After you turn it off a few hours later it turns itself on. The monkeys a Bell are no help fixing the problem. I can't have this turning on in the middle of a meeting. To me it is a piece of crapola.

I got it a few days ago, meaning I don't have a phone case yet. I'm new to the brand but I didn't expect it to have such a weak case. I dropped it once and there is already a dent on the phone. (It was a very weak drop. 3 feet max. Other brands I had withstood drops even higher and stronger). The sound quality is also pretty bad and there is a glitch with the power button while I am calling. When I press it, the screen would flick on for a second then turn back off. It takes a while until I can get the device to actually turn on. I'm a bit disappointed.

I have this phone and it is a great phone however it could do with a bigger battery and or have rapid charging. The battery in my phone IS NOT REMOVABLE so unless I have a different phone, the specs on this site are incorrect. I have an issue with backups which don't seem to work correctly and my memory card seems to be giving error reports on the phones internal diagnostics test.

Excellent value for money big screen phone! Got one new for £65 on ebay after being impressed by wifes one! Good big screen smooth & fairly quick - not bad battery life for a big phone!. Have not experienced any running issues - android 6 seems quite stable. I reckon I would have to spend upwards of £250 or an iphone maybe to really better its features - I doubt you can beat it for the money! if this went down the loo I haven't lost an apple like £500!- in fact so impressed am getting daughter Alcatel pop4 for xmas - again a bargain.

It has pretty decent wifi also. My modern dell laptop gets no signal for the house across the road whereas the pixi (4G version) connects fine for basic stuff (web browsing etc) [the neighbour gave me access].

Before this phone, I had a Nokia Windows mobile phone witch sucks @$$. My carrier is Walmart family mobile. I brought this Pixi 4 phone two days ago from Wal-Mart, for $20.00 plus tax. It is not unlocked to other carriers. Just for Walmart family Mobile users. When I first got the plan, Walmart didn't have any cheaper alternative's that had Android OS,s. Now I'm glad they do. This phone was a major upgrade to what I had. And I am happy with my purchase. I would suggest that you get a 6gb sdcard or more to save apps because this version I have, only has 1gb internal storage, too save apps. Snapchat by itself takes up half that space. Maybe this phone cost more for people, that are buying it unlocked with more than 1 GB internal storage. But it works for me. I can run the same apps as the any other Android with marshmallow updates.

I work in Tesco Mobile. I have set many of these. For the price range, they are in it is unmatched. The screen is excellent, I find it to be quick and responsive on the downside the battery is unremovable and a bit on the small size. If you are looking for a phone under a £100 this is the one!

It's a great Fone for the money but it is slow coming from a Sony z2. If u run a lot of apps together it's noticeably slow. Saying that it plays video and utube with ease and the screen is excellent. Sound is a bit tinny but the Fone itself is well built and the back comes off. Highly recommend.

In England this handset comes with 1.5GB RAM, 16GB storage and Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 (from Tesco Mobile). I'm very happy with this phone, the only bloatware it came with was whatsapp, no Tesco apps. I uninstalled this and some of the default Google apps that I don't use and was left with 11GB free space. The 6" screen is great, the cameras are the 'same' as every other phone -- get a proper camera if you want pro quality pics. Performance is fine; I don't play games, every other type of app I've used is fast and responsive. I get strong reception in remote areas where other handsets get none. It has a cool multi-tasking feature where you can display multiple apps at the same time on the screen. No complaints whatsoever. £8.50 per month (24mnth contract) which is reduced to £5.50 per month if you install the Tesco Mobile Xtras app -- total bargain.
