Me, too. When the phone rings, I cannot answer the phone by touching on the button. Also, Sometimes the screen turns on black once I click the wake-up button. I do believe iOS13 will have solved those issues completely.

I face the same problem. It is very random. the screen becomes blank, no response. i can hear the ringtone if someone calls me but cannot answer during this time as the screen is blank and nothing works. some times i have to keep the power button pressed (may be for more that 8-10 seconds) and sometimes i have to hard reset it.

My iPhone XS Max was bought in February, 2019. It is a fantastic device. I do really enjoy it always. However, at times it's screen become unresponsive. Earlier, it used to get back to normal quickly. Now in August, I find it quite frequently. I have to force shutdown and restart which is very inconvenient when we are busy. I am not sure whether it is a common problem or not. For me it's a very disappointing device from Apple Inc.

The xr does not have same specs as xs max the screen is 2,688 x 1,242 pixels with a Super Retina oled display on xs max the xr does not boast that kind of picture quality, considering the xr is kinda new it has a poor pixel resolution at 1,792x 828

I really don’t recommend to buy ‘physical dual sim’ iphone. Physical dual sim iphone has many issues. internet connection, phone call connection, .... Physical dual sim iphone only works well only with one sim. If you put two sim cards, you gonna have issues. I don’t know whether dual sim iphone with e-sim works well or not with acting two sims. But I can surely tell this - physical dual sim, Never!

I owned an iPad Pro 11, one thing I noticed was the 120hz screen which both my iPad and Xs Max has it. It seemed on my Xs Max is not as smooth as my iPad Pro during scrolling and whatnot, and its annoying and felt like the Xs max is outdated than the iPad. Or was it only just my phone problem? On iPad Pro, it was smooth as butter, dare I say smoother than my own face.

I know for a fact my XS Max will get updates for the next 5-6years, but your messy S10 Plus will probably be getting late Security updates by early next year when Samsung begin to forget it, lol. Exactly my words!! I had same issues of call drops frequently. Tried all the resets and what not. But no improvement. So finally I sold my XS Max and got a Pixel 3 XL. SO far no issues of call drops and signal drop. But Apple seems to overlook this problem despite lot of complaints.

Yes , Xs Max is a very fast phone , just like 8+ and X , but the 2018 iphone line-up ( Xs, Xr and Xs Max ) it has the worst cellular performance from all iphones generations that were ever produced . The iPhone XS Max is guaranteed to get Security updates and OS updates for the next 4 years, while the Note9 will probably only get updates for the next year and a half at the most. The iPhone XS Max will still be fast in 4 years because Apple barely take full advantage of the A12 Bionic chip, most games and apps are still more geared towards the older A10 chip, so as time goes by we will see the A12 being put to more use, we should see the XS Max get faster and faster with each iOS update. The Galaxy Note9 is old and will not receive much more updates after next year, the Galaxy S10+ will probably only get updates for about 2 years as well and will probably get slower and more buggy as time goes by. Get the XS Max and you will not need to get a new phone for at least 4 years, it may even be longer.

It is a common problem here in Bangladesh. I do have same issues. Sometimes calls are dropped and showing system failure. I guess this problem remains with intel modems. Other Android phones that I am using like Oneplus never had such issues.

I’ve been an all time Android user from galaxy s1 to LG to Sony Z2 to note 4 to Huawei mate 8 to samsung S9 + , and 2 years ago I bought a used iPhone 7 Plus 128 for 680$ And this is what I can say. First I thought that I cannot use an iPhone cause it’s limited and many things are missing, but after a while and especially when updated to ios 10 11 and 12 the phone got everything I need. What is exclusive is the apps that are well crafted and work smoothly on an iPhones , the speed that it’s the same as if I bought it today , iMessage, Apple music are great as well as the facetime. You will not know the difference until you buy an iPhone , I was a big defender of Android ( which is good also) but now I prefer the iPhone, after 2 years I can sell my phone for 450$ so if I need to upgrade to xs I need to pay 750$ for a phone that lasts at least 3 years, however if I have an s7 ( which was released at the same time) I need to pay 850 to 900$ to get s10+ so it’s almost the same Whay I miss in Android is: customisations especially ring tones and alerts

Chipset is definitely not better on Android, overall performance is not better on Android(read even here the comparison they made between XR and S10e, the iPhone is still more responsive and better an multitasking management), support is better on iPhone, handling is arguably better on the iPhone, only the camera department lags behind by at least 6 months on the iPhone.

Your opinion depends on the android phone you operated on in the past. I'll admit ios is very good in terms of optimisation but most android oem's are catching up. Take example, the likes of oneplus. I dropped Samsung, LG etc then switched to oneplus 6 mainly cos it offers the same feel as ios and I can attest I've never had any random lag or crashes.

100% it sucks. Ive had mine for 6 months, havent downloaded any apps on it and it is so slow and lags so much. the screen keeps flickering cos Apple cant optimise the OLED screen and goes down to around 20% battery after 2 hours of use. Horrible. Gonna upgrade to the Note 9 or S10 plus.

Below are the performance tests...on each the higher the score, the better. yes the phone is pricey but if you are planning to keep the phone that is well optimized through the years, yes the iphone is having an advantages compare to android. mostly android phones having updates more or less than 2 years only. If you are seeking for its updated software, then you can install those custom rom which sometimes causing problems if you are not that knowledgeable. compare to the price of some high end android phone with less years of optimization, the price of old optimized iphone can justify its brand new retail price. #respect#peace#love

i have come from android (samsung) and switch to iphone xs max and surprisingly I can say that ios is better than android. Playing games are more enjoyable due to optimization they are always improving for their users,from old to the latest iphones. I loved the simplicity and fluidity of its performance plus you don't need those pixels found on android for a small device that many of android users are boasting about. You should not be easily brainwash by those some paid reviews but it is better to experience it in actual. Those who are not an iphone user should stop criticizing and keep their mouth shut, because in the end, we are choosing our phones based on our personal preferences.

Iphones have good quality but there is just a really huge gap between the production cost and the selling price. I mean I might be wrong but an iPhone xs max most likely doesn't cost close to 1000 euros to manufacture. Imo it's a bad idea to have such a huge production cost and selling price gap. Because another phone with similar quality and similar production cost might appear on the market, but with a much lower selling price, and just kill our the previous phone. It has kinda already happened with many Android phones at low cost but good quality. THAT is why Apple is dying. It already is, it's stocks are dropping rapidly. Unless they cut down on the high prices and make even better phones, they are gonna end up in the grave with Nokia and Blackberry. Yes so right about android's reliability. I've had troubles with my notes' series. One after another. I've had the note 8 for not more than 3 months and LCD had dead spots. Warranty yes. After a year and a half after warranty...kongs out. Cost to repair...$300. My previous note same thing....all problems.

I've been to both sides to. Yes, Android does give you the freedom to do anything with the phone. That's how the Android OS has come to life. But, reliability is a huge factor compared to iPhones. Android has random lags and crashes especially when the time you need it the most. That has made me stick to iPhone till date. It has never caused me issues especially in crucial times. I was wondering the same thing. iPhone screens might finally be OLED but they dont have the tech to optimise it correctly that's why it can't support it. I think they did try 1440 but it kept enduring screen burn during testing. Plus iPhone users keep their phones for 4 or 5 years as they cant afford to upgrade every 2 years. Very sad

The iPhone XS Max screen is 1242p. How do you want to play a 1440p video on a 1242p screen? It is not possible to play a video in 1440p on a 1242p resolution screen, the same as it is not possible to play 4K video on a 720p screen

Maybe sometimes it was or is possible to select 1440p on an iPhone in YouTube but thats just the device lying to you. It is not real 1440p. The iPhone Xs Max is exceptional for me and the best phone for business and leisure; For emails, on the iPhone, the Apple Mail App gives ne Push option on all my emails (including Outlook, Gmail and Company email accounts). On my other phones, I've had to install the Blackberry Hub+ Service App Subscription to get an experience close to this at $12/year (which works like a charm on the Huawei Mate 20X and very frustrating on the Note 8 due to its lag and not syncing except why you open the App mostly) The emails are also in sync on my Macbook Air (2018, Touch ID) and iPad Pro. I can also start emails on the laptop and continue on the tablet and conclude on the phone. Google My Business (which I use a lot) is more robust on the Apple platform than on the Android phones (its better optimized and has more options) The best part for me is that with the iCloud sync covering the Keychain, I can register on multiple SEO sites, business listings and Apple automatically suggests, creates and saves the passwords for me. This is the same with cPanel options of my websites. This feature helps a lot when managing multiple businesses and accounts - The platform does all the work for me and most important is the security it offers for my details, banking and business data. The part for leisure for me is mostly in the camera and video features; selfies are the best I've experienced on any phone and the rear camera does a whole lot for me especially in snapping and posting properties and real estate - the beauty here is that the same pictures or videos are auto-present on your ipad pro or macbook for proper editing. In all, its all about the efficiency and value the iPhone offers and even more about the overall performance of the Apple Platform which integrates the iOS, MacOS and AI. The Apple IDs can also be shared for a family or corporate eatablishment with a linked iCloud account as well. I highly recommend this platform for any business user searching for a total solution that works seamlessly (like an online office) The same effects you can still get on the earlier iphones, ipads and macbooks. I hope they give us 2 things; 1. Foldable phone with folded option of 6.5" minimum and unfolded option of 7.9" with the same aspect ratio as the iPad mini AND supports Apple Pencil. 2. Dual App inbuilt capability (But still secure) on the phones (wether its dual SIM or single SIM)

There is nothing wrong with Galaxy Note 9 or Huawei Mate 20pro. I was a die hard Android user. But now that iPhone XS Max has a normal screen size I switched to iPhone and overall it’s smoother than Samsung and cleaner than Android. After using this phone I cannot see myself going back to Android , except maybe a large Huawei phone , like mate 20 or mate 20x. Huawei is definitely smoothet than Samsung! - iPhone XS Max has the most perfect design! There is nothing wrong with having this beautiful notch! - No ugly curved screens and very even bazels make this phone look fantastic - Apple took a Samsung’s OLED display for this phone and reduced the OLED saturation and increased the brightness. i own the xs max, the mate 20x with the m pen and the note 8. the xs max is part of my work platform which is apple ecosystem. the mate 20x for android makes the samsung irrelevant in everyway. and i know this may be argued but samsung cameras are average

My upgrade as explained earlier is well worth it and would recommend it to anyone coming from the 6s+, 7+ or 8+. The thing about Apple is that once a bug is noticed or complained about in forums, they release a fix for it right away. That said, even the 6s+ will be great for another 2 years minimum. I don't have ANY of those issues on my iPhone XS MAX. Its the best iPhone.

I'm using it on Airtel and have consistent 4G. Typically if Apple has these sort of issues, they release a software fix immediately its brought to their attention. Like I said, I don't have that problem AT ALL!

Specs are platform dependent. ios is well optimized for its hardware while in the case of android, the hardware manufacturer has to make hardware to catch up with the sofware Google rolls out. You would probably need 12Gb RAM on Android to match a 3Gb RAM Apple iPhone, even at that, over another 3 to 6 months running the same test will show a considerably slowed down Android counterpart while the Apple IPhone remains at optimal performance. They belong to two different worlds.

The truth is that Apple is a whole different league. Its not really about the hardware, its the ecosystem and how it works for you! I use my communication devices for my businesses and I can tell you that the APPLE platform is my office while the android serves as reach-out for chats and Google My Business. The main thing Apple lacks in this reach-out department is Dual Sim and Dual Apps. It makes it difficult to manage businesses on a single sim/app scenario.

I love to see how people worry about other people's wallet and advice "dont go for iOS, save a hundred $ and get Samsung instead!". My faith in humanity is restored. The latest is by far the most appealing design; hardware is not the most impressive around ,but it´s the whole integration of IOS and components that in my opinion make it the best. OLED, Facial recognition and A10 vs A11 Bionic made a difference-However, I can not find any sensible, important breakthrough from Apple in this new one, competitors (Android based) is closing the gap fast or getting ahead in some areas. Main camera is losing ground fast... And the price? another whole topic... Apple wake up! I think you have never used an iPhone, or maybe a very old one. Of course you can use third party apps on iPhones. Maybe try the app store? Full with third party apps. Navigation is also amazing. You can use Apple Maps sure, but I use HereWeGo, that is the same navigation that comes in a few Mercedes and Audi cars. It is free, and it works offline, without wifi or data! There are many more navigation apps in the app store. You can delete photos in the Windows file manager with easy either, you dont need iTunes for that. What other files do you want to delete? Just open the file manager of iOs and delete them! Are you sure you ever used an iPhone?

As an Apple and Samsung user, I have to say: I am amazed by how fast and smooth the phone is. I was able to run a whole lot of apps without the phone overheating or giving me reasons to be upset. Amazing device. The only thing I am disappointed was the fact that it does not have the same NFC technology as Sammy, which means I could use Apple Pay everywhere, like I do with "Samsung Pay" But is it undoubtedly a true competitor to other brands.

My employer gave me an iPhone XS Max for corporate use only. My wife has a XR and I own an iPhone 8 Plus. By far the 16x9 8 Plus has the best viewing proportion and is as fast and troubleless as the other two. What a pity 16x9 top phones are not available.

I use to be an apple user. Apple is proprietary. You cant use 3rd party applications with iPhones. Hard to navigate. You have to use iTunes for everything you do on the dang phone. Android is drag and drop. Plug it in to your pc and remove or files. No iTunes. Been on both sides of the fence. My opinion. Apple sucks.

Hell no, that phone will get like 1 year of software updates, and he/she plans on keeping it for a long time, then there is no other option than an iPhone. Also, Huawei or Honor phones have a horrible software experiences, and software is just as important as hardware, so I would not recommend to buy it INSTEAD of the iPhone XS Max

Since Android is rapidly overshadowing Apple in the race now, If I had to choose in the present, it would be an iPhone than an Android phone. I NEVER had an iPhone because I was scared to be isolated in the software since its so hard to transfer music, photos, games etc. and you have to connect it to iTunes in a PC to do so(manually ofc). So I was always hesitant to pick an iPhone. I've used LG, Samsung, Sony. But when my brother got his 8 plus iPhone I thought how unfortunate and outdated his phone looks since there exist X and Xs Max but I WAS WRONG! it was so fast and fluid it blows my Current LG phone(flagship btw) away. The software was very optimized and the experience is just like the 5s iPhone(very old) my mom has. I thought mine was so Techy yet his phone practically opens app more accurate and fast WITHOUT LAGS. It has most of the needed things like apps and such I have currently on Android so it was amazing. Android is good but now I have mixed feelings about it now. Camera and audio are on par but Quad DAC and wide angle on my LG is missed. But in exchange for the NO LAGS IN GAME AND APPS?? yes, please. I'm thinking of getting a Xs Max now. And About price? its crazy expensive yet a good investment since it doesn't depreciate in price as fast like Android phones and it last longer( since my mom uses her 5s till now, she's not a fan of tablet-like phones. hahaha) Ps: Solely my opinion and this is a free world so don't come to me with hate. Depends. Do you prefer the functionality of iOS or the freedom of Android? Take care of your iPhone and it will last you for years with regular updates & support. Mate 20 Pro is a fine device but it won't last as long, it has defective displays, and there's the thorny issues of Huawei's business practices.

The xs max screen is a Samsung screen last I checked, I hate apple but if you’re going to leave a bad comment then you should know what you’re talking about. Resolution isn’t great yes but, the software and ui cover that up amazingly the phone is very quick compared to my galaxy s8 which to this day I haven’t had a complaint about speed wise I haven’t used it for a full day but my friends seem to have to charge their iPhone XS Max before the end of the day but not by much, iPhone XS Max is a great phone, they just did not add much from the previous generation

You can make it your priority, if you have a good mind for finances you can keep the goal in focus y remembering that iPhones have less value loss so last years model will go a very long way to help you buy this years model. One important point is that many Americans never buy phones, they just get them from the carrier on a contract, price becomes a non-issue, they just buy the best and theres no doubt what is the best as of now, you just need to chose your size between Xs and Xs Max. I never bough a network locked phone and never will, so I completely understand why more and more people opt for sim-free phones, and I haven't always had a lot of money myself so i also understand the high entry point of iPhones, but I have to say its misunderstood, remember that for heavy usage an iPhone 7 is still faster than Huawei P20 Pro, by quite a bit too. iPhones are so good that you don't need the latest, even SE and 6s are still awesome phones.

Ffmpeg also has problem with 960fps android-recorded videos, the fault is with the chinese phone manufacturers for not following the mpeg standards. Pts must be set to playback fps, not recorded fps. You have to obtain a 960fps mp4 file from a non-android recording and post to apple support if it still dont play right on iphone and they will look into it. You could also forward the problem to the android maker and request they fix the header errors in recorded files but we know they will not look into it.

To all of you talking down Apple, just know that I have been anti-Apple for many years, and always had Android. Now, Google owns Android and everything is different. All of the different phones update at different time rates. SMS viruses are becoming an Android plague. Google tracks everything you do, and a lot of this information BY DEFAULT is made public. I am done having anything to do with Google. Say what you will about Apple, but they care about thier customers. And any security update is pushed out immediately to all devices, rather than having to wait on the phone manufacturer to port them to their individual devices. All of you Android users should really look more in depth at the pros of having an iPhone.

I only appreciate the Apple iPhone for starting the touchscreen smartphone trend that pioneer capacitive touchscreen, multitouch, and fingerprint. But I hate Apple for practicing trend that is not beneficial to user, such as no Micro SD slot, no replacable battery, and no headphone jack, limited compatibility to other platform. They also paid those reviewer for always praising their product as marketing tool and glorified their product, part of the brainwashing tools. Use Apple iPhone for just it's brand and ready to pay much more extra for it's own eco-system. Use Android as the more value and affordable option which can function as a smartphone, much more open and also can do much more possible functions, although iPhone user will bitter they don't need all these over complicated features. Not complaining on those who own iPhone, but Android definitely offer much more flexibility than iPhone.

It's a premium phone for the few. It is a great phone, I like to compare them to the Vertu phone which Nokia did many years back. It is more for the discerning few. If you get it, it is a good buy but don't compare them with the android crowd. iPhones are exclusive and stand their own ground. Just need to be prepared to live in the iOS ecosystem thereafter. The displays thay Samsung make for Apple are better than their own displays because they use technologies that only Apple has access to and costs more to make for every display so. This is the best and most advanced samsung display you can get on a phone because it's an Apple designed display, not a Samung one.

The Iphone xs max is a premium handset, I can't fault the handset, used to own a samsung S9 Plus and the bloatware slowed down the h/set and the apps compared to the IOS is very sluggish. This is my findings and also the best camera out there when it comes to HDR. I would 110% recommend the Iphone XS Max but not to those with small hands you will struggle.

I still have issues with iOS 12.1 updates. It still stuck with “ updates requested for more than three days. I’m tempted to facility reset and stick with the previous updates. I’m eager to get update so that I can use E sim . Again none of the networks in Nigeria is aware of this esim capability of iPhone X’s max.

I've been considering buying the XS Max, I have grown accustom to large display's and this is Apple's first. After doing some research I'm no longer sure I can justify owning the device. Charging issues, Wifi issues, LTE issues, antenna issues, imessage issues, cosmetic wear issues as well. All these defects are basic operating functions. Even a $500.00 device shouldn't have these problems. Since it lacks MicroSD, 512 GB internal is a must. So it's going to cost around $1,550.00. Including tax. Maybe some of these will be resolved after a software update but c'mon Apple, for this price I want a well designed, fully functional, reliable product!

Don’t buy iPhone Max Just got it 2 days back. It’s expensive as hell, heavy as hell, Huge as hell. I got for around 1750$ US with cover. After buying it life gets centred around it, always scared that it doesn’t get scratch or damage. & at this price will be stuck with this phone for atleast 3yrs. If had an option to return back here in India I would have returned it the next day. Nothing wrong with the phone, it’s fast smooth and beautiful, an excellent show off phone. I am just too tired to carry it every day.

iPhone X lost less value in 1 year than a GNote 9 or Huawei Mate 20 Pro lost in a month. iPhones are cheapest to own, buyers always line up, even old devices like 6s sell for prices Android phones at half the age cannot even dream of. You cannot get 400 for a P20 Pro, if its one week old maybe you get 350, but you can get 700 for a year-old iPhone X. I cant afford to buy Android phones, the value drops too fast. But i bought 2 (maybe 3) Xs Max 256GB and 1 Xs 256GB, i know they will still be worth a lot next year when iPhone 11 comes out, when your Huawei and Samsungs already lost 700 dollars value EACH.

Actually Samsung doesn't supply Apple screens.. it's all manufactured by LG. Samsung was smart enough to buy as many screens that LG can make in a year through a contract. Apple has to go through Samsung to get the screens but Samsung doesn't make them. They are only a middle man.

$1099 for a phone with the most beautiful 6.5 inch super AMOLED display and the best mobile chipset in both CPU and GPU ever in a smartphone is an amazing deal when it has an extra-all day battery and is guaranteed 4-5 years of dedicated software support. Hate people who say "but the [insert Android phone here] is cheaper/better" like go away. Even the Pocofone for $399 will only last you two years... upgrade it again to match the life of a modern iPhone and you're saving $300 to lose out on tons of features. Its because you havent used FaceID yet. How do i know? Because if you did you would forget about fingerprint. faceID is so fast and reliable and convenient that FingerID feels like a bad memory from simpler times, the times before apple invented the future with FaceID. I forgot to mention that this iPhones battery absolutely does not last any longer than on previous iPhones. I’ve been typing an email for 20 min and the battery went down from 85% to 65%. All other apps (except maybe MTA subway app) were closed. I don’t expect any better and I know that we will always need to carry a power bank with us until there is a new technology instead of Lithium. I knew that the promised boost in a battery based on a 7nm processor technology is an advertisement gimmick. Regardless , I really love this phone.

Update: The more I use it , the more I’m getting to like it and happy that I switched from Galaxy Note Note 8. By the way, there are no major cons with android phones nowadays, so I can comfidently recommend Samsung or OnePlus phone to people as well. There are some minor cons of course which I will list: PROS: - The best smooth design of any phone ( no curved screen, and bazels of the phone located evenly , unlike on Samsung or other phones where they leave the bottom bazel bigger than the side bazels ) -Gigabit internet is now finally just as fast as on top android phones -IOS Is definitely smoother than Android a) There are way less web pages that jump or don’t display properly comparing to Android but they certainly still exist on IOS system as well b) IOS Doesn’t allow third party apps like WhatsApp or Viber to create duplicate contacts in your phone book , which is how android phones should be but they are not CONS: -Usb 2.0 comparing to usb 3.1 on top Android phones (a little annoying slow file transfer speed) -As always improperly programmed signal indicator which often shows 2 bars when the actual signal is 80% or 100%. Apple must finally address this issue and reprogram signal indicator software so it would show 4 bars when the signal is -45 Dbm or -50 Dbm

You are absolutely right. Apple does not need the RAM Androids needs, nor the battery size either. iOS is tailor made to the inner core of coding to be optimised as much it can be with its hardware. It runs efficient, fast and smoothly. Android has become so heavily fragmented over the years and needs to be adjusted to many different chipsets. It can never work flawlessly as iOS does. But i don´t use Apple. I dislike their marketing ethics and closed ecosystem. Been on Android for many years and find it superior to iOS. The XR has the same sensor as the iPhone XS, only thing missing is the second camera, but that is only used for optical zoom, because in each and every other aspect, the cameras of XS and XR are absolutely the same, period. The Xr has inferior camera, and not just a little. The X however has a great camera so its no problem to get a cheap iPhone with an awesome camera, but the Xr will be similar to the iPhone 8 and thus far behind last years X in the camera department. Its very impressive that Apple has already improved their cameras with the Xs models before the competition had time to catch up with the X. To make it worse for the competition they didnt yet catch up with the performance of the X too, Apple is increasing their already big lead, currently at least 18 months ahead of samsung.

A very good advice to go for the X. There's no need to buy new devices every time because of their bloated prices at launch. It is always preferred to go for the previous flagship as their prices has already fallen enough to justify their features budget-wise. Plus the X has better antenna than the new Xs and Xs Max, it can still be fixed due by a firmware update but FCC needs to approve the possible amendments. References:

For those wondering what to get, Xs or Xs Max (i ordered both, both 256GB) its quite simple, the Max is NOT too big if you like big screens, i think most will find its reasonable sized, and in any case you cant reach the top even on the Xs with singla hand use. Personally i prefer the plain Xs over the Max but both are too big to carry in trouser front pockets for an active lifestyle, and the Max can double as a paddle if you enjoy kayaking. I was negative to the Max but its not as bad as expected. Remember to activate "Reachability" under General - Accessibility, then just swipe down at the bottom of the display to bring he top within reach, its super fast to use when you get used to it, i also use that setting on my X and regular Xs. And that remind me, its a good idea to go for a used X, its still an awesome fast phone with good battery and the 256GB versions can be found in good condition for less than the official price of the 64GB Xr, and i dont think anyone is in doubt that last years X is a lot better than Xr. I have taken advantage of some upgraders wanting to sell their X fast so i bought two iphone X yesterday, 64 and 256GB, but these somewhat good deals on X isnt going to last long so act fast if you want a premium flagship at upper midrange prices.

You might be right, because I only checked GSMARENA website on both phones. So maybe GSM arena is better optimized for Android. I also don’t like the brightness level of all OLED displays except This iPhone. 1) There were no reasons for Apple to switch to OLED to begin with if you are planning on tweaking the OLED display ( which is what apple did with the X series) and reduce the Saturnation of the display in order for OLED display to last longer before the visual affects of the OLED kick in. 2) I really applause Apple for making the OLED display saturated on the same level with LCD display if that’s going to make the OLED last longer.

NOTE: I assuming that super fast web page loading on Galaxy Note 9 has to do with faster modem. Note 9 has a 1200Mbps Modem Vs 1024Mbps on iPhone or on Galaxy Note 8 Other than that I really like the new iPhone. I just took my iPhone XS MAX to Best Buy in order to compare Modem or processor quality between This phone and Galaxy Note 9 1) Connected both phones to Best Buy WiFi 2) Loaded GSM arena website. 3) Samsung Note 9 loads webpages much faster than Intel modem on my iPhone. (Either has to do with Qualcomm modem being faster than Intel modem or Qualcomm processor is faster than apples A12 processor ). Of course it’s not the reason to choose Samsung Note 9 over iPhone because iPhone still loads web pages fast but on Samsung Note 9 GSMarena website felt as if you are using iMac or top windows pc (almost instant page loading. Now very very hard chose because I really love both phones! IPhone still renders more webpages corectly comparing to Android.

UPDATE: It now seems like the issue is not with Antenna but with the bad quality of Intel Modem comparing to Qualcomm modem. As we all know the IPhone this year is using Intel modem. Intel modem versions of IPhone 7plus, 8plus and this IPhone XS Max - they all have call cutting in and out when the internet speeds are super slow which is in overly congested area or inside the very low signal building. My friends have the Intel version of 7plus and 8plus and they have the same issue Imduring very low internet speeds in Times Square. I never had this problem with Qualcomm version of iPhone 7plus or 8plus or any Samsung phone in the same congested Times Square area. We must demand from Apple to get back to Qualcomm modems! No other brand has an issue of working with Qualcomm, only Apple does.

Don't show dumb comment here, I check the iPhone charging rate, it is same as those non fast charging Android phone, about typical at 5V 1A, so it would probably just use a bit more than 2 hours to fully charge this 3140mah battery. Those fast charger for Android, they doesn't goes super fast either, fastest might be within 90 minutes, but average at around 105 to 160 minutes, depend on battery capacity. This fast charger thing is not going fast all the time, around 80% capacity it will slow down the charging, it only goes fastest between 10% to 80%. Each manufacturer also got their own fast charging behavior, some just stick at around 10 to 12W, never go higher than that, some stick at 15W. Some goes all the way to 18W, then some only goes fastest when screen is off, some have to wait 1 minutes screen off only goes fastest. Mix and match, at the end it might just save 45 to 15 minutes if fast charging from 0% to 100%, the fastest charging rate is before 70%. Just want to be realistic, anyway.

I am using a Huawei Mate 10 Pro, I get 2 days battery life, 6 gig ram and the phone only takes 60 min to charge. 20 minutes is 50% so 20 min equals one day battery life. It also has infrared so you can operate a TV, air con or projector with the phone. The Note 9 has stronger ram compared to IPhone but personally Huawei all the way. People complains because Android's much cheaper models do include the fast charger in the box even if it is costing just 10€, any other reasons for Apple not including it in the box if it is "not much money"? I baught iphone x max 3days ago.i lover for iphone since iphone4.i got into trouble after using MAX.its very bad experience for voice net problem and weak wifi signal.call drops after drops or no network.people does not get me my x max phone due to bad voice net problem.i hope that Apple solve this problem as soon as possible in short time by upgrading software.

Just got mine yesterday..gold..256gb..this is absolutely amazing.. However to be honest..a mid ranger have a better battery life.. You at least expect 3500 plus battery for this size and price tag..sucks.. Nevertheless the best iPhone ever had.. Amazing camera..super loud speakers.. A12 makes a difference believe it or not.. Almost doubles the performance with the new GPU.. I am unfortunately within the fruit eco-system.. My advice..go for note 9 or The upcoming S10.. Cheers !

UPDATE: Upon further investigation of my iPhone XS MAX issue where my side of conversation is cutting in and out or completely disappearing in congested areas or low signal buildings, I found out that new iPhones have lower RF output according to FCC testing. It’s is obvious now that bad antenna or bad firmware that controls the antenna has been put in latest iPhones. The intel’s modem Speeds are great, however. I get consistently 1.3 - 1.4 times faster Average download speeds comparing to my Qalcomm version of iPhone 7plus. Galaxy note 8 is also 1.3-1.4 times faster download speeds comparing to 7plus.

I’m facing the same problem with my XS that I received yesterday. At home , where my T-Mobile signal strength is 40%-45% and at one fast food restaurant where the signal is about the same. I never had any issues with calls whe used my iPhone 8plus at the same places with the same medium signal strength. Now people tell me that they can’t hear me sometimes. How did I measure the signal strength in these buildings ? Obviously with my friend’s android phone since IOS doesn’t let users to read the actual signal strength.

1) Yes it does! Because the phone still comes with a slow charger. For me that’s not really an issue since the most important thing is that it does charges fast with a fast charging portable battery ( aka power bank ). Who cares if it takes 3 hours to charge when you are sleeping. 2) The most important flow of this phone is its modem or antenna! On one side the phone’s modem ( Intel modem ) is faster than Qualcomm modem in iPhone 7 Plus (this phone and galaxy note 8 phone produce download speeds 1.3 times faster than Qualcomm version of iPhone 7 Plus). Also this phone and galaxy note 8 phone , both catch LTE signal faster than Qualcomm versions of iPhone 7plus and 8 Plus when you go from no signal to signal zone. 2) on the other side in congested areas or in low signal buildings the call is cutting in and out ( you can hear people but they complaint that your side is cutting in and out ) comparing to previous iPhones with Qualcomm modems. My friend has 7 Plus previous with Intel modem has the same issue as this Intel Xs max phone.

LOL of course i haven't tried an iPhone. Do i need to taste s**t to know that i definitely won't like it (Although there are people who do...just like some people like iPhones..)? The truth is not only i wouldn't buy it at a mid-range price, i'd refuse to use it even if THEY paid me the price it costs to use it with no option to use Android phone. And no, i don't praise any android brand. In fact, i don't like any of them and the reason is exactly because they all are blind Apple followers who can't stop thinking of ways to cripple their phones. Still, with more efforts, you could still buy a decent Android phone and the OS, of course, is another major advantage.

I’m using the iPhone XS MAX since and already see the results of Apple using Intel modem in it (yes the unlocked version of iPhone now using the intel modem as well and it’s been verified ! ). In Times Square (Highly congested area) and in a couple of low signal buildings my side of the call is cutting in and out. When I used iphone 7plus with Qualcomm modem in it, there never been such issues in the same places. It’s really a shame because download speeds of this modem are are 1.3 times faster than previous modems but in low signal or congested areas it’s behind slower Qualcomm modem.

I am a proud owner of an iphone 5 since it was first released. I have to say that this phone never disappointed me, I never had to take it to the service, it still works flawlessly. I don’t care about the tech spec of other phones and I don’t care about the high price of iphones, because iphones are longlasting, you don’t have to replace them every two years. The only reason why I won’t buy iphone XS (max) is that my current iphone still works. I wonder why all the iphone haters come and comment here, let just the real iphone users come and share their experience. I don’t want to read piles of irrelevant comments.

How do you know Note 9. sales are rotten? I was in Carphone Warehouse yesterday to buy a Note 9 and for the 3rd time, they had sold out. I.asked to see an XS Max demo unit to see how big it is, just a bit shorter than Note. Anyway, staff said almost no interest in the new iPhone. Note 9 innivations, such as S-Pen remote etc make it a far better value prop. Am thing back today to get one. All said, am sure plenty of people with money and love of bling and iOS will buy the iPhone at Christmas.

For everyone saying the XS Max does not have a 2K screen: 2k is not 1440p. 2k is having 2000+ pixels along the horizontal axis (in the case of smartphones, vertical) which means 1440p (QuadHD) has a vertical pixel count of 2560, which is about 2000, hence making it 2K. QuadHD and 2K are not the same thing. The XS Max has a vertical pixel count of 2688 which is above 2000, which technically makes it 2K, even though it doesn't meet the 1440p horizontal mark. So yes, the XS Max's screen is 2K, but not QuadHD. P.S. I don't like Apple, I like facts.

As for the battery...they've always had one of the worst battery backups (When it comes to actual usage, especially on mobile data. You are clearly brainwashed. The 960fps recording is 480p upscaled and is useless. Google it plus it's only recording for a few seconds. Also the Note can record 4k for a few minutes only. Get real. When you grow up try buying an iphone for a change like most people in the West do and if you don't like it sell it and switch back to Samsung. If you don't pirate things and have a life there's no reason not to try the iPhone over a Note 9.

Also Chip Architecture and RAM Management in the A11 are glaring defects since they require background apps to close in order to power the next process. One thing is certain, UI functionality and real time processing between apps and programs will be indistinguishable for the A12 and Snapdragon 855 chipsets.

Does this iPhone provide external memory option to store that big and extra length footage? Exactly Bobby, the A12 Bionic has the smallest transistors in any smart phone and even better then your high end computers at 7nm. thats just mind blowing how small that is. thats means you can fit a lot more transistors so you have a lot more power. I also just Noticed that the iPhone Xs has 4k at 60 FPS and slow mo at 1080P. most others only have 4k at 30 FPS. Much more Superior then all the other smart phones and no crashing or bugs like the android always have after a months use.

I'm really angry with Apple this year. I have been using my Pixel 2 XL, and looking pictures of the pixel 3 XL, is obvious that no one will buy that thing. For that reason I wanted to switch to iOS again, hoping that the price of the biggest iPhone launched were the same than the iPhone X at launch. Now, the base model is $100 dollars more, and the 256 GB, the one I wanted, is $150 more than the others, so the thing become too expensive. I'm feeling really complicated with the decision. I didn't liked the Note8 when I used it, and Stock for me is a must-have, at least in Android terms. WaterProffing also is a must-have, so no Chinese phone, Oppo, OP, vivo. Sony and HTC didn't make it great, bad placement of the fingerprint/bad use of squeeze technology. A really great phone overall is only granted by Samsung at this time, and is the only company that I don't want to buy a phone right now, just can't believe this. Hoping that the Pixel 3 XL will be made of another material that the plastic feeling of the 2 XL, and also not a big price like this sexy/golden phone. I wish everyday for living at USA and buying this thing at the price launched, in dollars.

The only feature which sets iPhone's apart from other devices is it's iOS and Chipsets. They are unique but not necessarily better. The A11 Bionic chipset has chart topping single core speed but it slows down and heats up within minutes. As previously mentioned the XS Max, 512 Gb is $1,449.00 USD. Add in AppleCare and tax, you're paying almost $1,800.00 USD and in box comes only one extra, earpods. I think it's safe to assume at this price point there will be a lot more Apple customers happy to cut ties and chose a comparable android device for close to half the price.

The iPhone XS Max looks to be a good device but not many improvements over the iPhone X. The dual SIM's, 512 Gb internal memory and a larger display were needed upgrades but that's about it. The price is the deal breaker, at $1,648.00 with AppleCare plus tax it's pushing $1800.00 and that price doesn't include any accessories! Sorry Apple but you've priced this device far beyond any reasonable value considerations.

It won’t look sharp. iPhone 4 (from 2010) had 326ppi screen and it was 3.5”. Same for iPhone 6/7/8 they have 326ppi and on 4.7” it doesn’t look nearly as good as 1080p Plus models. On 6.1” it will look terrible!

Because lcd uses RGB matrix 326 ppi is enough to look sharp n crisp. Amoled uses petile matrix n it needs twice more pixels to look sharp enough. These companies will never tell u this. They'll show that they're giving sharper bt its just on paper, not in real.

Ok..first of all let's accept a fact that whatever is the price or features..this iPhone will be sold in millions..however smartphone market has grown in many ways to offer very good handsets in an affordable price. Thats why a sensible person now will think twice before investing such a huge amount of money to the new iPhones. Now the offering from Xiaomi, Huawei, Oneplus are so much that majority of people will shift to these brands. Yes, someone will say these are cheap Chinese craps..but for a smartphone need people will less likely to spend that amount of money in future. The market is changing now. A 1000$ phone is not easy to sell unless its a good carrier contract. Each year apple will bring out new iPhones and launch prices are less likely to go below 1000$.

tbh kinda disappointed in the new iphones. My first iphone was the 3g and i loved it then 4 then 5 then 6 plus then 7 plus and now i feel like i might give the note 9 a chance

i think,apple has gone mad...... the price is too much high yes,bionic chipset is very powerful,bt according to price,it's a joke........ note9 is much better than iphone X and expect,note X or s10 will blow away this junks......... if this bloody joke continues from apple,huawei will take apple's place soon

I do wish Apples iPhones supported SD cards, as when additional storage is needed it’s just so much easier and cheaper to get an SD Card for more storage rather than having to buy a new phone just to get additional storage.

Well said. These are anti-phones. They scream (Apple and their phones) "You are stupid" at you. If they paid me the amount they cost i'd still refuse to use them.

Just go the iPhone X’s max 64 gb, it’s still expensive but a bit better!
