Asus PadFone mini - User Reviews

  • Small, light, stylish for price. Balanced specs except phone accumulator capacity (pad can work as a power bank). But 1. All outgoing calls become calls to "-1" after 5-10 secs. Solution: Depends on operator. Operator change can help. 2. Can not turn on phone while charging. Solution: Wait 5-10 mins for minimum charge, unplug, turn on, plug into. 3. All sounds can disappear if use original charger. Solution: Throw away charger. Reboot cures and PC USB has no problem. 4. Turned off GPS consumes charge. Solution: turn off GPS, reboot and do not turn on. ... and more small or rare issues.

  • hi.. where can i find battery replacement for asus padfone mini ? it1s really difficult for me to find and buy it...what kind of battery must i buy for it

  • hi.. where can i find battery replacement for asus padfone mini ? it1s really difficult for me to find and buy it...what kind of battery must i buy for it

  • Love my mini padfone. Has few issues, shuts off but easy fix. Wont go back to regular cell phone. Like having a little computor with me always. And nice screen to watch a show on.

  • Can't figure out why the tablet keeps shutting off when in use. It's fully charged but keeps cutting off.Has to take phone out and in several times before use

  • the worst phone i had, in less than a year, the paint on the edges severely fade, padstation became constantly unresponsive even a sensitive touch, firmware updated for many times do not solve the already unstable padstation unresponsive issue. been browsing around the internet and victims of unresponsive issue never have proper solutions. poor hardware configurations and quality.

  • I have the same exact problem only my phone will not work in the tablet at all and I also had to buy a battery pack from batteries plus annoying having to take the battery out to charge it.

  • I just bought this phone/Pad at Wal-Mart on clearance and I love this device. I have tried to buy the original Folio Bundle 2 Pack for this to protect the phone and the tablet but Asus is out of them and so is anyone else that carried them. Asus told me they were not sure if or when they would get more in, which really infuriates me as the aftermarket things I purchased to protect are not right and youu still have to take the device out if you want to take a picture or record video. can't find a phone case to ft the phone the one I bought was too big. Its a pain in the a** when you cannot get the manufacturer to carry a cover for a very popular phone/tablet that is selling or sold well. Thumbs down to Asus for this.

  • Pretty good. My kids were banging the thing on the floor and still working. Good screen, not so good sound (but, who cares, right?), responsive. I don't like the charging of pieces, apparently tablet must be charged separately once it runs out of power; couldn't charge it with the phone inserted, but maybe it is just me...

  • Guys! I'm planing to buy this phone, will you suggest me to buy this phone or should i go with xolo black?

  • my asus padfone mini can't use OTG? i have try alot of kind of OTG still can't function

  • hello . i have been using asus pad fone for six months and now a pink screen.appears on da screen of the pad fone station n hence the screen on the padfone station doesnt even work wen in pad mode.i have never dropped it before but i dnt know y its acting like this.i am really sad at this latest development n hence the station cannot be used .ani help as to wat i should do cuz i have show it to a repairer n he said der is natin wrong wid the pad fone station screen.

  • customer support is horrible!! very much customer unfriendly. speakers/ audio system of my phone is creating trouble within a month. they took one month to fix the problem due non availability of spares in India.problem of audio system is still not solved. I do not expect that it will be solved !!

  • Peace of junk. I had first run and battery lasted 2 hrs. Software all screwed up. Tablet broke after 3 months . The male connecter inside tablet broke. 90 days after I sent it to Texas for repair they tell me my tablet wasn't in the package I sent. So who's lying post office or asus?

  • ASUS PADFONE MINI...had to replace phone twice in 4 months for blown out broken speakers!...only had phone for 4 months...ASUS warranty no good!!...had other issues too, too much to tell you, just get an iphone6, that's what I should have done, for what I paid for the ASUS (twice),I could have gotten an iPhone 6...do not buy this phone...or you will be stuck with 2 broken phones, like me!

  • i've had the phone for 3 months. works like new. there is a special dead zone which i used to test reception - this phone passed with flying colors (2 phones of about 80). other phones will either drop the call or crash the phone - even newer, faster models. it's very light. it's half the weight of most other phones. if you travel a lot, this is probably one of the best. if you're visiting another country, this phone is much better than all other phones. not only is it the lightest if you're camping or mountain climbing, it's also one of the fastest. download google translate and it'll find words as fast as any other phone. with gps, you can turn a business trip into an adventure easily. its light weight is also good for racers. for distance running, cross country biking, etc, this phone will help maintain an ultralight pack that can go anywhere and do anything. the tablet works great. excellent clarity for e books. great for gps in a new city - you can see the entire city and all points of interest. download half priced text book pdfs to make up the cost of the phone in 2 purchases. best possible phone for a musician. the phone is a great lightweight tuner. download sheet music on the train to practice. plug it into the tablet for group practice sessions. great for taking notes - the camera is high enough res to simply take a picture of homework assignments, reviews, etc. similarly amazing for academics. download full text pdfs while you work. review them over lunch or coffee. as good as retina display. keep track of other prjs for references. or students - take a picture of a friend's notes for classes you missed. review it on the tablet to get all the details. take high res videos of class demonstrations. it's small enough to take to demonstrations outside the classroom. but won't be awkward if you have other responsibilities because it's small enough to be operated with one hand. if you don't plan to play football with this phone, nothing should break. girlfriend has had it for a few months also, works like new. removable battery for hard resets and improving battery life. micro sd if you need to take many, many photos. of phones with those 2 features, it's the fastest by a large margin. doesn't work well as a hockey puck. if you need a hockey resistant phone, maybe buy a case.

  • I loved this phone...for a month & a half. Broken speaker. Red tape. Bla bla blah. Help me Mr. Wizard!

  • I am very disappointed with warranty service for the ASUS pad/fone mini x that I acquired new in Dec from AT&T. I had the larger Pad/Fone from July to Dec which also had charging issues. On this mini pad/fone. the pad stopped charging on 3/15. I visited AT&T on 3/16--told to contact ASUS. I did so--told to contact AT&T for further testing. Did so--learned that AT&T does not warrant the pad only the phone. I called ASUS to learn that I must return the pad and its power cables at my cost, wait 5-7 days + shipping (which ASUS will pay for) for repair/replacement. All this even though I have AT&T "insurance". I will stay clear of ASUS pad/fones and AT&T in the future. ASUS does NOT include a label with the RMA instructions which would be incredibly easy and is expected from a technology provider.

  • Me and my fiancee bought the Asus PadFone mini and a month later both of our speakers are busted. I had to take my fire one back and get another because the pad's speaker wasn't working at all!!!! This phone should not be sold to America!!!!!

  • This is so true. i had it for a while. spent 2800. sooo over priced when i bought it. the keyboard always lagged. connecting to station would always lag a bit. it would destroy itself so many times. i sent it for repair like 4 times. one time it fell from my hands and the screen stopped working. how weak is it...they should give some kind or rebate. even the android asus support was horrible. what la asus!

  • A shame about Padfone. Wonderful concept but such bad quality wirkmanship. I had the Padfone 2. It was such a disaster. Proprietary micro usb would have is pins bent all out of place.never happened to me and I am talking as far back as the Spv phones running Microsoft The screen broke. I replaced the screen to promptly break again. B een on various sites reading up on these phones. Asus need to stop production. Look into their r&d. Pressure test their phones, because there is quite a lot of negative feedback and these phones can cost a lot. In the end after paying £400 for my 32gb one I had to buy another phone. Nexus 5. No comparison leagues ahead in quality and reliability

  • I have had this this phone since September and do not experience the same problem you do.

  • I've had this Asus padfone mini for less than a month and I'm having problems with the tablet part,I touch to open up an app or to play a game and it won't work unless I close out the screen or restart it. I've spent too much money on it for this to be happening , can somebody please tell me what should I do ...

  • melissa ... you had a cell phone 26 years ago =^0 crazy sh** going on here

  • OTG..? Oven Toaster Grinder... Of Course dude, it supports that one too. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

  • seems to be a new generation mobile-cum-pad.. but the battery is Li-po 1500 mAh which is very low for the product like this. Also, android version is not the latest. The company need to improve its specifications as per the current market conditions if they want to give a tough fight. My view is that "dont go for this mobile"

  • My charging port broke easy. 26 years of having a phone and I have never broke a charging port. It is not replaceable to fix! Asus wants to charge me the same amount that i paid for my phone to replace it....I had to buy an actual battery charger, take my battery out just to charge. I tried other repair stores and the part is so new and rare that nobody makes replacement ports..I wish I had never spent so much money on this. However i can still use it and the tablet, but the battery drains so fast that I don't even fool with it and use another phone. I hate it. :(

  • GSM - 850, 900, 1800, 1900; UMTS - 2100

  • will it support 850 MHz on 3 g or not

  • Will this phone receive the android 5(lollipop) update?

  • do you have any cheaper prices of the phone ilove it

  • this tablet has 5 pole for music plug in?

  • Yes

  • Ok a quick review of the padfone mini, I have had mine since Feb its the worldwide version (I believe) As a handset mine has been good, clear screen and camera is good enough not as good as the top end Nokias etc but good for most tasks. Sound and call quality are very acceptable also, wifi hasnt dropped out much at all. Processing wise it is reasonably quick for most apps but I dont use mine for gaming or benchmarks (get a S5 for that sort of stuff) It is however very slippy in the hand and easily dropped the edges are very rounded and the devise, not dropped it yet but had a few sweaty moments saving it from the floor. Apps load quickly and GPS is found within 20 secs normally, large pdfs are handled without problem and daily tasks are no challenge for this phone. However, the tablet does have weaknesses, once the phone is inserted or removed from the tablet background apps are killed, there's meant to be an option to keep them alive but mine clears them regardless? I had to get a cover for the phone (by asus) and of course needs to be removed to fit in the tablet. As a tablet is functions as it should, no noticeable speed difference for most apps which is good. Screen res is just about acceptable but not very vibrant and difficult to see in sun light. Its not worth getting a case for this as its too fiddle if you want to get to the phone if needed quickly. There is options to priorities the phone for charging which is great after a long day on the road just pop it in the tablet for several more hours use, this is the biggest draw of the tablet function, but there are buts and big ones at that! Main issue for me has been charging the pad, it has died twice and is with Asus at presently for another repair as the pad has completely died twice over the past 6 months. The screen goes black and pressing the power button twice turns it on, but then shuts off again. Eventually it decides not to charge at all and becomes a large tea coaster. Asus keep trying to repair it rather than replacing it which is a massive inconvenience, as I bet it'll go wrong again! They also need the phone and tablet back to fix it even if the phone is OK and without issue, so you loose both devices for 10 days. Would I buy this phone/tablet again in a word NO its as good as any other mid range phones out there but the quality of the tablet is not good enough not only in its hardware reliability but its screen resolution and hot swapping apps from phone to tablet ie ebay/facebook didnt work for me, it just kills the apps regardless. I think if your looking to buy one of these, bite the bullet and get a phablet, one case large enough screen as get a mini mobile charger, it'll do everything this phone/tablet does without the issues above. I have on purpose not called this devise a phablet because its not in my opinion. Its one or the other independently and if I had just bought it as a tablet it would have been returned by now. So to say its not as goods as it looks overall, if I'd paid £240 for just a phone it would be better spec'd than the padfone on review here. If it fails one more time it'll be for sale on a well know auction site somewhere. ATB

  • Does this phone support OTG?

  • So do I. I also cannot find setting for battery tablet and when i charging only the tablet, battery indicator didn't appear :(

  • It may take 2 hours, or 2 days, but eventually is shuts down and won`t restart unless I dock it padstation, I put the power cord in, or I take out the battery, and then it restarts. I did factory reset, reflashed ROM, etc, I googled it and the same issue is reported with the "Padfone 2". Asus support says I should take it to a support center but I bought it abroad.

  • Does this phone support OTG?

  • i cannot fine the setting to set battery for tablet only.. can u give steps.. tq alot =)

  • You can check this website

  • I can not wait anylonger. My question is this real device or just for promotions. After a few week since Indonesian Cellular Show, I still can not find this device in Jakarta-Indonesia.

  • My question... What about its wifi signals? I sold my Asus zenfone 5 after one week because it automatically disconnected wifi when if went to sleep mode or the screen turned off. I had done factory reset and turned wifi always on in settings but all in vain. So is there any problem like that with the padfone mini 4.3???

  • i like this, hope there will be on Philippines. i think this is awesome.

  • A low To mid Size Phone .. 1 GB Ram :-( .. But a great Idea .. combining phone with tablet screen .. A Mid to High end Device -- 3GB Ram atleat .. Dual Sim .. micro SD Card .. Latest Android .. would be my Fantasy .. :-)

  • One of the best product in market for it price/performance perspective. __________________ You can read more here -

  • How is speaker phone volume when on calls and battery life ?

  • asus padfone mini 4.3 with higher spec not for malaysia market

  • There are two models - Asus Padfone Mini 4.3 and Asus Padfone Mini

  • low spec for malaysia market.

  • yes, between May.. but not this spec, see this here is the spec for Malaysia

  • Could you write about your experience now tthat you have been using it for over a month ?

  • Can anyone who has purchased this phone , write about their experience ?

  • will this model release in Malaysia and when

  • only used option, not new one available.

  • Will Asus release any accessories for this phone - dock , spare batteries ?

  • Howe is the speaker volume on those ? Heard speaker volume on Asus phones is relatively low ?

  • Although I can't comment on the Mini Padfone, I have had the original Padfone (which my wife now has) and I have been using the Padfone 2 for 8 months. Both are fantastic devices and have never had any problems. I can totally recommend Asus Padfones as being your one and only product for tablet and phone. The prices are a little steep, but compared to other manufacturers separate devices and data plans, Padfones will in my mind win every time.

  • Being sold on Amazon also

  • The battery is very small 1500mH. Battery life is quite short.

  • After sales service for this model is only through Asus Taiwan, so thats a issue. You will have to send unit to them to have it repaired. Customer service is responsive, but sucks in resolving the problem.

  • Is gsmarena going to do a review !!!! Seems they only stick to well known brands like Samsung.

  • Speakerphone volume refers to switiching on speaker when taking calls. In ear volume is okay, but not great. On other hand, for other party, your voice will be heard very lound (which is good), so mic is very good. But issue is it has slight screching sound other party hears, so voice quaility at other end is not so good. If Asus can fix these issues, this can be great phone. If has usb-on-go mode, host mode and others which are not so common for phones at this price range. You can technically attach a keyboard or mouse as use like desktop. can connect usb stick using micro usb usb adapter and it reads the content. Attach usb ethernet for wired ethernet connection if so desired. Further lets you play music and shows little window with music overview in the locked screen.

  • They're saying "the speakerphone is low" ... do they mean while you put on speaker mode? or the calling mode while you put the phone near your ear?

  • can any1 comment about asus products quality today and how about after sales service.

  • No cannot do video calling without third party software.

  • can this phone receive video calling without depending on 3rd party software?

  • can this phone receive video calling without depending on 3rd party software?

  • I just got this phone, it is awesome. The phone/tablet is fast and very responsive.

  • How good is this phone ?

  • GSMARENA please write a review of this phone !!!

  • No direct video call feature on this phone.

  • can this phone make direct video call which does not required any data plan or wifi connection???

  • can this phone make a direct video call which do not require any data plan or connect to wifi????

  • Just bought this phone. The camera is excellent , specially in low light situations. However speakerphone sucks, volume is too low !!

  • Anuone who purchased the phone can write about their experience ?

  • This specs Asus PadFone mini 4.3 Please re-check.

  • Is gsmarena going to do a review on this phone ? Anyone who has puchased it, write about their experience ?

  • that;s awkward! is this phone going to be released officially and when? I can see it's being sold on eBay, still are they going to release it for Europe or Russia? ...and gsmarena status is still "coming soon"...

  • How is the speaker volume on your phone in outdoor locations ? I find other party's conversation barely audiable when using speaker phone !!

  • I am also finding speaker volume very low. Any one with Padfone Mini also having same issue ?

  • Yes, this phone has two dual micro sims. I used whats app using one number (while loading it asks for phone number , so can choose either of phone numbers). You cannot have two whatsapp apps on the phone, like any other dual sim phones.

  • i would like to know if this phone use dual sim card, then what will it be to whatsapp app, is it gonna be two whatsapp at the same time?

  • i would like to know if this phone use dual sim card, then what will it be to whatsapp app, is it gonna be two whatsapp at the same time?

  • Buy one at ebay. Taiwan and HK. Less than $440.

  • Padfone Mini 4.3 supports 3G on both sims. The dual sim functionality is nicely executed with the Dual sim option under systems allowing to choose which sim to use for making calls and which one for data (both can be different or same). It has USB host port, so you can attach using a micro usb to usb adapter a memory stick and read and copy contents from the memory stick.

  • Here is my feedback for Asus Padfone Mini 4.3. I hope someone from Asus reads it and looks into ways to rectify the drawbacks. First on the positives - 1. Unlike other padfones and other phone manufacturers, Asus did a good job of having a removable battery. 2. The dual sim card (micro sim) is another great plus. 3. Having flash and extra pixel camera, helps in geeting good night photos, compared to lot of other cameras. 4. The design is nice, glass finish looks good, very light (which is good). 5. The ringer is loud, which is important if you do not want to miss phone calls (many manufacturers forget it, these days). 6. The padfone concept is great for niche users adn helps avoid two sim connections for phone and tablet. 7. Dynamic mode works very well and for apps that do not uspport it , the app closes when in tablet mode (although manually one can reopen the app). 8. Have all the 3G bands for global use, which is nice. (Padfone original had only limited bands). 9. Very smooth to operate with no lags in either phone or tablet mode. 10. Supports, internet using usb ethernet adapter, in addition to wifi and 3G. Also supports miracast (so can mirror phone or tablet screen to TV using miracast adapter). Now for the drawbacks - 1. Speaker volume - It is very low on calls and is barely audiable in even slighty noisy outdoor location. This device is first a phone and then a tablet and Asus should have ensured that it had loud phone speaker. Even Asus Audio wizard does not help. 2. The speaker volume cracks, when used near full volume level. 3. Battery drains very fast. Not sure , if my unit has a issue or this is common issue. If in standby mode, then battery darin is normal, but if you browse the web, play video, it drains in like two to three hours completely, which is unacceptable.

  • how is the speakerphone volume on phone ?

  • Just got mine, and it doesnt support mhl. I dont have a slimport adapter to test, but it does support miracast

  • me too,and when release?

  • can i ask where are you from? i can find this phone anywhere in my country online.

  • Yes, you can choose whether you want to use the 3G from either SIM1 or SIM2

  • hi D,The dual sim is support both 3G indovidual?

  • Stand by 114 hour?

  • thank you very much D I will buy one thanks

  • Regarding the loudspeaker for the calls is relatively loud for me, if i want to compare it to my last phone (HTC one X) it is a little bit louder than it but i still think it depends also to the signal of the one calling and receiving. I think it supports almost all general languages and yes it supports greek. Also noticed that it is better to use the battery of the tablet instead of charging the phone. If you charge the phone with 30% battery it will fully charge it with in an hour. The Pad can't charge the phone if the battery is fully drained, i think it is because it needs the phone to tell the pad to charge it. On the good side the Pad does not loose it charge if you don't used it. I fully charge the Pad and didn't used it for 2 days and found out that it is still full. I bought mine on Ebay, it cost $466 which is not bad for me. I was in need of a dual sim phone and was really looking to buy a tablet. As a frequent traveller it is very convenient for me. The main thing i was concern if i bought a separate the tablet i think the apps on it would be likely the same as the one on my phone so it is like a plus for me to have this device. I generally use the tablet for reading and watching movies. Will also try to remake an unboxing of it if i find a good camera and post the link here if gsmarena allows it and also to help other people that is interested on buying this.

  • thanks d can you please tell me what is the languages in the phone ? and where did you buy it ?

  • Thank you D for your review. Can you please tell me whether you can choose Greek language out of the box?

  • Appreciate your comments in absence of detailed gsmarena review. I am planning to buy this, but one of my concerns is whether making calls using speaker phone in outdoor noisy areas ? Please let me have your comments on how you find the speaker phone while on calls (I am not looking at speaker volume for music playback etc). Also, it has Audio enhancement function, does that help with increasing speaker volume while on calls ?

  • have been playing some games on the phone for about a day and i didn't found any issues with it. i have been playing sonic dash, bejeweled blitz, plant vs zombies 2, cytus and robocop. all game went very smooth without any problems. another thing that i noticed is that the capacitive button on it has no light. battery was very good with the usual use of calling, texting, and gaming my phone ended with about 47% still haven't used the battery on the pad yet. will now try the battery life of the pad. will do some usual use and also the performance of gaming if it is the same with the phone.

  • anyone here can verify if it has video out via MHL or slimport?

  • benchmarks: antutu: 20315 quadrant: 10189 this is the most highest score i got after a couple of tests. will now try to do heavy gaming on in and will post how it performs. will do some basic gaming to fast paced games and some 3d games also. will post my experience as soon as i am done.

  • how about the benchmark dude? antutu and quadrant?

  • I have mine for almost a week now and all i can say is i am very happy with it. battery life on the phone is decent. docking the phone to the tablet it will take 2 seconds to load fully. you can set the behavior of the battery on the tablet if you want to charge the phone or just use the battery of the tablet. camera is quite good never tried the video recording on it yet. still have to test playing heavy games on it. the sound quality of the speaker is good. the display for me is very nice it feels like HTC one x. call quality is good, never tried speakerphone on it yet. touchscreen response is good. only thing i just notice is you can't transfer your apps to the sd card, it doesn't have the menu on the setting to transfer to sd card, tried already some apps but doesn't support the phone. hopefully some developers make an app on it. using it as a tablet feels like a whole different experience as it behave as a tablet and not a phone. the home screen changes from 4 shortcut icons (phone) to 6 shortcut icons (tablet). display is not top notch but still good. really loved sending sms on the tablet cause it has split screen on it. there is still a lot of things i still need to explore and learn from the phone and tablet. will try to post again my user experience on it also the benchmark as it can help other people. this is just based on my use, hopefully gsmarena would make a full review on it.

  • coming WHEN!? tired of waiting this and I am so close to getting a nexus tablet or a Note 3 now...

  • No, the phone contains the entire OS? The benefits of this: 1. You never need to synch the devices. 2. You only need one account/SIM card, instead of two, as you normally would for a phone and tablet. 3. The tablet can actually be used to charge the phone.

  • no..

  • I like it - modest, well designed, portable; I want one! what are the latest rumors - when is it going to be released?

  • Will the tablet work without inserting phone in it?

  • this is a JOKE asus. FAIL!!!!! 121.3 x 61.3 x 8.9 mm Motorola Droid Mini, with hd screen and 2000mh battery... learn something about how to do a mini phone!

  • Unhappy user of padfone2! I got a padfone2 on Mar2013. >Jan05/2014: phone turn to be a brick >Jan06/2014: service center (SHA-PRC) informed me that the warranty expired on Nov2013 (policy 1 year from Man.Date). >Called the hotline (CN): they granted me an offset of 3 months after the man.date. So I requested.the hotline to informe the service center. After 5mim hotline called me to inform that the offset only offered to purchases in PRC and not Taiwan (probably purchased Feb2014). > Jan10/2014: service center informed that the MBoard needs to be changed (cost 1,800rmb = 2,200hkd > new infinity cost 3,500hkd) Conclusion: (a) No global warranty (b) Limited life spam less than 1 years!

  • How it is a very clever & brilliant idea indeed!!!!!

  • thank you! I'm an idiot! :)

  • hey, I think you misunderstood something here, you just have your apps, games etc. on the phone, the "tablet" is only a screen extension with no cpu/gpu in it. So you install all your nice things on the phone, plug it in and have fun on the 7 inch screen.

  • one question please: if I wanna play a game, let's say Real Racing, I have to install it on both, the phone and the dock tablet? Thank You!

  • add a stylus, it should be the most ergonomic phone. keep up asus.

  • Hi,friends.Except the google masterpiece nexus7-2013 full support and upgrading,I really know nothing about the asus care and support! The written specifications hints that it must be a good mid-range 7 inches tablet smartphone in definitations!I myself if i want to buy for example, don,t hurry and wait for the top gsm commentators to write an expertly comment plus pros and cons of the device, then I decide to buy!Pre-judgements many times cause irreversible losses and damages!?Ofcourse people are free to buy and it,s my-self scientific opinion not to buy with the closed eyes! Please read one of the gsm monthly published magazine translated in many languages and see your knowledge opinions change and views about the products when you see factswritings! Please becareful of some faked famous phone sites that for the reasons give misinformation to impose a garbage for good!?All together this good mini has an affordable price!Let us when it comes to market!Merry christmas, best new year to all+more gsm factwritings!!?

  • nfc???? otg??

  • I hope they give better battery life.

  • Quad ARM Cortex-A7 MPcore Harvard Superscalar core, LP-DDR2 SDRAM interface, Hexagon QDSP6V4, GSM, GPRS, EDGE, UMTS, HSDPA, HSUPA, HSPA+, DC-HSPA+, TD-SCDMA baseband modem, dual SIM / dual active support, 13 MP camera support, Adreno 305 GPU, 1080p video encode/decode, gpsOneGen 8A with GLONASS. Snapdragon 400 Processors are designed to deliver the performance, features, connectivity and battery life that consumers expect in high volume smartphones and tablets.

  • Waiting for you to come to malaysia. I like this phone. Dual sim. 7" tablet when needed. Qualcomm processor. Hope it affordable (^-^)

  • what is the GPU inside??

  • Because you also get a tablet at a cheaper price than the Nexus 5 itself.

  • At about 290 Euros, it's a great deal. It's below the price of most phones and you get a 7 inch tablet when docked.

  • Too little a pad! Size of the pad should have nothing to do with the associated phone. I dont see the reason to buy the docking pad if its not big enough for distinguished viewing experience.

  • just enough battery and specs for a 4.3 inch phone.. and is dual sim to boot.. I like it.. and the idea that it can be "docked" to make it a tablet.. will be looking forward for this phone.. hopefully though they can sell it as just phone only.. and make the tablet bundle optional

  • according to specs on asus site and promo video on youtube the tablet can charge the phone battery :)

  • Why buy this, when for just a little more I could get a Nexus 4 or a Nexus 5? Both of those seem better options. I love Asus btw!

  • That's all I was looking for and I need for my gadget.

  • If the battery on the handset it's can be changed with a huge battery it's brilliant.

  • Its good idea... but for Asus Padfone Mini 2 - better battery, 2GB RAM, HD resolution for phone and 8 inches tablet screen

  • Looks like asus knows what they are doing, looked as the first padfone and it looks based o that, so im thinking maybe they allready know more about the mini that we would think. ill buy one, would have liked a speaker grill in front like the fonepad, and maybe a front camera on the pad would have been nice aswell.

  • Dem battery life

  • good specs... but poor battery for quad core processor..

  • Awesome idea.complete multimedia solution

  • Not interested. Naaaa...
