Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL - User Reviews

 • Every day lately I think about how great this phone is. It doesn't take CDMA sim cards, has no 5 GHz WiFi, and it doesn't do multiple users using the stock firmware but other than those cons it's pretty amazing. The battery lasts long and it's snappy, doesn't come with a lot of extra apps and background processes like some phones do. Beautiful screen.

 • Very smooth, amazing camera and battery life, is a nice updrade to the old zenfone zoom. I really like this phone. I am not coming back to samsung after using this phone

 • same as mine. Sent to service centre 3 time during warranty period. Now totally black out after usedfor 14 months. Not going to use Asus brand.

 • Despite the blazing advertising on this phone, but it is only an average phone that does not have anything special, even the camera performance is less than average. Its screen is unreliable and may break down after a short period of time, as happened to my device. The only good thing is the battery.

 • the same happened wit me.

 • I bought this device on February, 2018. I have first in problem about June or July 2018, the problem with the LCD. The second claims was in February 2019 (still warranty), the problem was "Blank/Black Screen and Over Heat (hot on back)" on it. For the both claims have resolved by claim warranty. But the third problem happen recently in June 2019 (no warranty), the problem has still the same as the second "Blank/Black Screen and Over Heat ". My summary of this device base on my experiences is not recommended.

 • Been using Zenfone 3 Zoom for more than two years. Now I'm having problems with it's screen/ display. When I set the brightness at minimum to around +10%, the whole screen flickers. So I had to always set it at higher brightness. It's getting really annoying. Anyone knows what could be the problem?

 • It has a display issue, even after light drop it stops working or dead pixels.

 • Try Zenfone Max Pro M2. 5000mAh, SD660, 6GB RAM variant available and pretty nice camera.

 • I tried this phone side by side with regular Redmi Note 7 (not Pro version), this phone might give a good rival. For some reasons, I did love this phone more than Redmi one. Not being bias; still images, processor part, design absolutely goes to Redmi Note 7. But battery, smoothness, video recording and display is pretty good too on Zenfone 3 Zoom. Xiaomi is offer way better hardware (chipset & RAM) but I was impressive with the UI smoothness, less bloatware and comfortable ecosystem. This phone might give a decent run on gaming like PUBG for only at medium settings but it could complete your daily tasks very good. Yes, if you're gaming person, not particularly recommended this one and go for Xiaomi. This one is a tough one to give who's the winner but it's up to you but I would give this a draw. Display definitely goes for Asus for slightly better colour rendition (accuracy and saturation) and better brightness. I don't know but Xiaomi one looks bluish and yellowish at the same time; either defective or that's how it looks. AMOLED in Zenfone is pretty good but not at the same level with my Pixel 2 XL and 1+5T but comparable with LG G5. This one, Zenfone wins. Camera was a mixed feelings for me. Short answer, capturing still images is about 2 times better on Redmi compared to Zenfone but since Zenfone can captured 4K, video recording goes to Zenfone. I had to complaint, Zenfone captures incredible daylight pictures but seems little bit struggle in lowlight with decent detail and countinous focus-hunting. Adequate detail, high dynamic range and nice contrast are the strong points for Xiaomi but Zenfone might win in colour-rendering part. On video recording, Zenfone is way far ahead with super detailed-4K video with abundant detail in daylight and even in lowlight. I don't know, focus always got it right while video recording but not in still images. Xiaomi with only Full HD is pretty strange though and plus video recording won't win your heart. Detail is pretty average and pretty bad dynamic range, seems struggle if it had various lighting in a single frame. While it's not bad thing at all, it still managed to give good video recording and so was Zenfone on still images counterpart. Battery, hail Asus! 2.5 days on Zenfone and 1.5 days for Xiaomi. From 100%, I played Shadow Fight 2 for straight 30 mins, it consumed 7% of my battery capacity. I don't pretty sure how Xiaomi would perform if I did the same but browsing on Chrome consumed about 19% for 40 mins straight. While both cost only RM799 in my region ($195), it's pretty good deal too for Zenfone. For your guidance, you can go for Redmi if you're gaming person, love taking pictures and elegant design. If you mind about user experience, concern about battery life and nice video recording, don't hesitate to go for Zenfone 3 Zoom!

 • Battery is unbeatable but SD625 is getting a little long in the tooth. Why can't more companies put 5000mAh in mid / high end phones?

 • Unless you bubble wrap this phone I highly recommend you move on and purchase something a little more durable. After using it for three months I had a minor drop. At first I had a sigh of relief when I saw no visible cracks. However when the left side of the screen wouldnt accept touch inputs I knew I was in trouble. A few minutes later a small dot\line of purple appeared and 12 hours later the screen was pretty much gone. With that said, there were some things I really liked about the phone. The battery was amazing and the display/camera was really nice. It also ran very smooth for me. For the price (209.99 CDN Black Friday), I was really impressed. What I didn't like (besides the durability) was its use as an actual phone. I had many complaints about how I sounded (if they could even hear me at all). When I had to switch back to my old Moto X because of the drop, the call quality was far superior to the ASUS. In conclusion, this device really isn't that great as an every day phone but it was enjoyable to use as a small tablet to surf the web, or take pics as long as you can protect it. Because of how easily it broke compared to other phones I've had, I can't even say its worth the great deal I got on it.

 • Have been using this phone for 6 months on Android 8 without any issues. Battery life is fantastic, and amoled screen excellent. Camera has a great spec, but pictures only ok. Not a great range of cases and screen protectors available, but at the price this is an excellent phone. Some feedback that model is fragile, so just don't drop it!

 • Great bargain. The battery use is incredible. Used it for an entire day, absolutely phenomenal.

 • I used to have really bad experience with asus zenfone 5 (intel version) facing all kind of performance, software and hardware issues after using it less than 6 months which i then decided to thow it into the dustbin. Now few years later i bought asus zoom 3 after heavily discounted price simply to try plus hoping Asus has changed, and guess what?? Despite its good performance and camera, the lcd screen immedietly became unusable with horizontal lines all over the screen, foggy color, and took 6-7 second to turn on the screen, after it fell from my pocket just ONCE!!! Even worst when im sitting on chair, not even standing and there is no physical tear or cracks at all which demonstrate the fall is suppose to cause no harm. My other cheap china phone such as lenovo k3 note are 100x better having fell countless of time, with cracks all over the body and screenn, but still works just fine!!! This is my last time bought ASuS smartphone cuz your quality really sucks and u never improve. On a side note for those who still want to buy this phone, there is no 5ghz wifi supported like mentioned on gsmarena. Which is bullshit for a phone that used to claims as iphone 8 competitor when even my old k3 note phone supported it.

 • phone sucks. crashed after 3 days. wont allow system updates.

 • after 6 months then the black screen of death came.

 • Hi, why weren't you able to use a screen protector?

 • Very impressive phone. I'm the type of guy that despises the idea of spending a lot of money on a new phone. I got this for 300$ CAD and it's turning out to be 100% worth the money. Pros - Massive battery. Lasts over 3 days using YouTube and playing games on breaks at work. - SD card slot for huge amounts of upgraded storage - Snapdragon - Very fluid fingerprint unlocking. Unlocks smoothly in milliseconds. -Dual SIM -Crystal clear LED display -Reverse charging -Very good camera with surprising optical zoom. -Included case and good headphones -Loud and clear speaker (for a smartphone) Cons -Not water resistant. -ASUS software is o.k at best. Nothing new if you're used to their lackluster P.C software -Because of the large battery it has some weight to it. Not an issue for most people but it is heavier than most phones. -Not able to use screen protectors -Does not have a slick, curved look like premium Samsung and Apple phones. Conclusion- A worthy purchase. I would definitely recommend this phone if you're looking for something that loaded with features at a decent price

 • Do not upgrade. It works worse after the upgrade. I'm looking on how to downgrade it back!

 • i want to buy this phone. is it good

 • I'm still on Nougat. Should I upgrade it to Oreo ?

 • I find it awkward how google project fi allowed me to register this device on my account as a fi supported phone even though its missing a tmobile band, but wont allow me to do it on a huawei mate 10. Oh well at least theres a reason to keep using this phone for some time longer.

 • This phone has very good specs and features, but its main problems are the build quality and the bad OS (Do not upgrade to Oreo). The display can be easily broken, letting the front glass intact but having nothing else to show because the internals of the display are now broken. That would be a very good phone to have if it could last.

 • Yes. It's true

 • This phone only supports 2.4. Yes blue light pull down from men

 • This phone only supports 2.4. Yes blue light pull down from men

 • does it also have a built in "bluelight filter" in the top down menu?

 • Specs says that it supports dualband please check the settings.

 • Dear guys A great and ridiculous problem about this phone is that doesnt support 5GHz wifi signal and only support 2.4GHz wifi signal. Is nt it?

 • Pls give the link which gcam you used.

 • true. been using it for more than a year now. it happened to me 4 times

 • damn good phone!!

 • After latest July security patch, the phone is performing spectacularly with consistent SOT of more than 11hrs with Internet & other day to day apps always running

 • The latest update (2018-07-05) seems to have fixed the problem of the camera app under Oreo. Previously the app would be "half frozen" and I couldn't focus on objects I want. Now it focus instantly like it used to before the Oreo update. The OS is also more staple now. Previously the Oreo OS would crush often. Now it is fixed. Very happy so far. Been using this phone for over a year and still going strong.

 • It has an optical zoom lens. The standard zoom on phones is digital zoom. It is quite a bit different.

 • got the phone for 2 days now, updated it to oreo an now the screen is like made of bars??? ruining the quality, can anyone help? god i miss my LG's

 • Can anyone tell me which earphone comes with this one?

 • I've been using Zoom S for one month. I got this phone with Nougat update 7.0 Then I had to update twice... At last I got 8.0 oreo update. Well I though there will be some changes with the oreo update But I found no major changes ... And the Portrait mode is good ,Shutter speed of portrait mode is fast.. Camera quality for 12MP is not bad. Much details ... OIS and EIS helps in better stabilisation only for 1080p .. no EIS/OIS support for 1080p 60fps and 4K And Battery standby is good for 2 days or normal use.. Front camera is 13MP , it's not bad .. good in details. And the dual flash is not working... I don't know whether it's a CCT flash or not. My Lenovo vibe X3 had dual flash a CCT flash and it changes according to the temperature... well on zoom s I found no changes in the dual flash .. Always flashes white flash.. And Asus is saying it support quick charge... Asus Boost master ... And where is that .. it takes about 3 - 3:30 hrs to full charge.. From the day of the first usage I found no hang/lag. There is some bug in the camera app... Sometime it shows ' Camera app isn't responding ' The Portrait mode is best .... I got this Beast for 16K on flipart . If u r buying a best phone .. go for Xiaomi MI Note 5 pro .. and the Later models... Asus is not bad... Lenovo Z5 , Asus 5 ... , Nokia , few full display models are coming with good cameras... wait nd go for it

 • Do not upgrade your zoom 3 to oreo yet. you phone will start to use lots of ram after that causing your phone to slow down. wait for a better version of oreo

 • black screen of death

 • i used for a year already, suddenly the phone cannot charge the battery, it mention "CHARGING PORT TEMPERATURE ABNORMALITIES REMINDER" i always used original cable and adaptor. somebody please help me..

 • I love this phone for its batterylife and camera above all but the oreo update completely wrecked the fingerprint reader for me. Takes forever for it to even register the fact that I pressed the scanner and have to do it multiple times in failure which is awkward considering alot of my apps are opened by fingerprint now

 • I just purchased the zenfone zoom s 2 days back but when i insert the sd card and try to open it, it is not showing sd card

 • Where will i get google camera

 • I see. Thanks for the reply. I wish to have the phone but i think i'll just wait another year since 5G and SD855 is coming. ^^

 • I have seen the photo taken by this phone through the link you provide and yes, it take a great scenery. Thanks for the reply i really appreciate that. I need to find a camera centric smartphone since i already had a DSLR. Once again, thnk you. ^^

 • After last update to "oreo" the most apps don't work at all. Chrome, outlook, onenote, bluemail, navigator, etc, and other apps from banks and other well known organization or companies. I did a lot of times factory reset but nothing. I don't know what happen. Have any other this kind of problem?

 • The camera hardware which sounds slightly better than Galaxy S8/Note8, I expected little bit more from this one. I tested with my friends which he used Galaxy S8+, the S8+ takes little bit better lowlight photos than this one. Yes, ZF3Z takes lowlight scenes pretty good enough, but you can tell the difference between this one with S8+ if you put side by side.

 • asus zenfone 3 zoom get oreo update im also updated my phone

 • I hv been using ZenFone zoom s for 8months.It takes stunning photos. One can use google camera for pixel 2xl like experience on camera.

 • It is a great phone though

 • I own one and I think that the zoom is pretty standard, does its job but just like any other phone. I dont think this phone was intended to have an extraordinary zoom, it is just a name like Samsung Galaxy is not related to the space or galaxy. Hope this helps

 • Sorry I don't have any IG or Twitter account to share with you. But this PhoneArena reviews might help you as they also provide zoom camera samples :- See every images in hi-res so you can see every details on every images. For me, after using it for a weeks I'm barely happy with the results, as their word "8x brighter low-light photos" doesn't live up expectations. Daylight photos was incredible but low-light could be better. I think it could be solved via software updates, as their hardware was same with Google Pixel 2 XL and capable enough to beat Galaxy S8/Note8. I don't expect the camera will performed same as Pixel 2 XL but it should be come pretty close. Back to your question, yes I'm Malaysian :=)

 • Hello, could you give me some sample of this phone zoom capabilities. I really want to see it.. As i search on youtube there was no sample of it. I search through IG and i barely see the result , only ppl taking picture of the moon(full moon) which turn out a bit blurry(i dont mind tho). Since u are using RM, i assume u are a malaysian. Can you help me?

 • great phone crippled by software. i get camera flickering in low light

 • If you concern about the white line, you can go for Zenfone 4 ZE554KL for alternative. The camera on ZF4 is at some point can be better than ZF3Z. By the way, the metal body on ZF3Z is better than glass back on ZF4. Better fingerprint-resisting, and it's not likely could be bent and it won't shattered if you dropped off this phone.

 • How can I know that I get 2nd batch of this product?

 • I really like the camera of this one here on Lazada online shop I can get it on 12750php (279.29$) but the only concern is more review saying of whiteline defect and the metal body is easy to bent. should I buy it?

 • Bought this phone 2 days ago, so far so good, no white line problems. Used Zenfone 4 ZE554KL right now, compared to this one not much different when it comes to experience and overall. Performance feels little bit better on ZF4, display and brightness was almost same, ZF3Z has more popped colours (slightly), Grippiness and nice in the hand goes to ZF4 but feels more durable on ZF3Z. Camera was mixed bags, daylight pictures goes to ZF4, lowlight pictures goes to ZF3Z but video quality goes to ZF3Z bcuz ZF4 has sucks and terrible dynamic range on video recording. Bought this ZF3Z for RM2099, ZF4 for RM1579. I think ZF4 has better value for money.

 • Yes..portait mode is awesome..like a DSLR ..you will love it😊👍

 • Hey, guys! Does its camera support portrait mode?

 • i own the phone for many months, the camera is excellent, i'm tempted to say it's the best phone camera i ever tried. the only issues is that you can't rely on the auto mode in bad conditions like low light etc... but the manual mode rocks it's pro level quality.

 • Nope, this phone only has USB 2.0 speed on it's type-C port , sadly

 • If you have this device with an unlocked bootloader, then you can no longer receive ASUS software updates.

 • Nope... only b/g/n

 • Yup. This phone support Dual Apps option

 • Have AC Wlan ???????

 • Kindly is this phone Support dual app aption

 • The camera hardware sounds promising but much opinions said it has bad camera, can anyone tell me? I planned to buy this one for camera and battery.

 • Is the build number (sku) 'ww' for asus users in india? Or is it something different?

 • Initial impression was very good. Prolonged use proved otherwise. - AMOLED screen gets burn in after a couple months. - Camera is terrible even though it's the main selling point; it's grainy, the zoom doesn't matter much, the lens cover isn't sealed and fills with dust, camera is terribly slow with awful low-light. + Battery is the only redeeming feature, can go 2 days on a single charge. Though haven't managed to refill anything else with reverse charging. - No 5Ghz wifi / NFC / IR, the wifi is constantly disconnecting. - 32GB is actually really small these days considering Android takes about 8-10 GB for itself. - It's slow. It was fast at first but this thing can't handle switching between YouTube and chrome without something crashing and needing a reboot. - UI layouts have changed so much after updating that it's no longer customizable like ZenUI claims and most things are white which makes burn in worse! - Looks good on paper but is actually really sub par, every region with 32 gig model got completely shafted cause it's straight out of 2012, not 2017.

 • What is the latest android version released for the device & also what version of zen ui accompanies it?

 • greetings everyone, does anybody know how to make the clock on the lockscreen appears? seriously it's driving me crazy. what I've tried: - updating system to the latest os and zenui - factory reset - changing theme - enabling weather apps and other widgets

 • Check if you downloading for the correct sku on the device. Hope that helps.

 • Hey there, just got one but for some reason it’s impossible to download the 7.1 update even after following all the available instructions. Any suggestions as it’s bought online and no shop distributes this where I’m located

 • can a user in India please tell me what the sku details are? Is it ww? if not what is it? thanks guys

 • How about tv connectivity?

 • This phone's battery life won't let you go down :) I constantly get around 9h of SOT with heavy gaming use, and around 12h of SOT with light use (YouTube, Browsing). The low-light camera performance kinda sucks on auto, but you can tweak it freely with manual mode. On daylight, it's not the best I've seen but great nonetheless. UI also sucks, I use Nova Launcher instead. Performance is so-so if you use it for gaming, no issues for daily light tasks though. The screen... (u can check my comment from Dec 2017) Design-wise it's definitely not original nor grippy on hand (slippery that is) and leaves smudges when you touched the back. But it's quite solid. Though, I always have a case for extra protection. DTS audio is mostly for gimmicks, my old ZenFone 2 can do better with earphones (DTS makes me can't manually change the bass anymore D:) Speaker is mono but it's quite loud, no distortion even on full volume. I rarely took a selfie, but when I do it turns out quite good, but don't expect it to do well on low-light though. No NFC and that's kinda sucks, fingerprint recognition isn't the fastest around but it's accurate most the time. Alright, hope this mini-review helps you :)

 • Yea, such a downer they don't review this phone. But hey, super wide-angle vs zoom lens there. I love super wide-angle more but this phone's endurance doesn't let me to look at other option :)

 • For the guys who had their replacement, did you update your system? From marshmallow to nougat? Im currently using my second zoom 3. Asus replaced my first cause of whiteline. I kinda read here somewhere that whilteline appears days after upgrading the system. I could say its probable because thats what happened to my first. I havent upgraded my replacement yet cause the whiteline could appear again. Any insights that could help? Thanks

 • Try reading the threads in ZEN talk for any tips on how to properly take pictures with the Zenfone 3 Zoom. you'll learn alot from it.

 • Very interesting phone. It has a big AMOLED screen, excellent grip, fantastic camera with dual lens and a really big battery. The only flaw is that GSMArena specs are wrong. It doesn't have WiFi 802.11ac. Just 802.11n. Saddly to see it connecting to my ac router at 72Mbit/s datalink while my very very old Samsung Galaxy S4 does this ate 433Mbit/s! >:-(

 • Can i connect this phone to a projector? Any who had tried it?

 • I believe the white line issue indicates a more serious innate defect with the screen. I had the white line appear for no reason but I did not send it to ASUS since it did not affect function. But 6 months into using, I dropped the phone from bed height and though it barely cracked the screen, the whole screen faded to black. When I tried to recover files through USB, it would no longer be recognized by any computer. Hours later, it started beeping randomly and couldn't be shut off by holding power. So in essence, completely wrecked from a minor drop. I've owned older ASUS phones that had a completely cracked screen but still functional, so I believe the fault is with this model.

 • review this one please

 • the best phone until now (year 2018). best performance, big battery, great camera. I love this phone.

 • Why this phone so much expensive??? the price when launched is RM2099 and it still same until now, while zenfone 4 ze554kl launched with lower price which RM1999 but now the price getting down around RM1399 for 4gb RAM model. Why???!

 • I'm appalled at gsm arena for not reviewing this phone while it does "long term" reviews of other phones. I've got a LG G6 but I hate the 18:9 aspect ratio so had to get another phone. After hearing about the white line issue with the Zoom S, I was a bit sceptical about buying it. But I took a risk and luckily haven't got the white line issue yet. The macro pictures come out better with the LG G6 however, other shots are a bit sharper on the Zoom S, which I really like. The optical zoom is a nice upgrade from the G6. I really love the loudspeaker... Much louder and sounds better than the G6 loudspeaker. Music sounds really good with the earphones too. Battery life is also awesome considering the 5000 mah battery. It easily lasts 2 days with average use. I've had no connectivity issues with the phone, be it calls on 4g/3g networks, sms, Bluetooth connectivity and download speeds. Haven't tested wifi but I'm sure it should work fine too

 • Does this phone support HDMI out? Is it through the USB-C plug? Thanks!

 • I agree, GSMArena must be review this phone, this phone is not too bad as I read comments here. There is much Zenfone 3 Zoom work as well around the world but they don't complaint of course. And if GSMA review this phone, it's might be the best battery life's 2017 phone.

 • I hate the Camera during indoor shot with people at a sunny environment faces of people you shoot became washed out and became darker face.. Screen in the dark room you will notice some kind of cloud like inside the screen.. What i like is the battery super battery also speaker external or headset is crisp and clear also very fast wifi connection fast downloading..

 • this smartphone may be mid-range due to the old chip inside, but it has alot of configuration on display and camera. It can also handle high end games. The battery is superb. Therefore, I see this as a high end smartphone. I use this smartphone more than my LG G6.

 • Mine also drop once the side near volume open up. Feel disappointed.

 • Using this for about a month. Photo quality is good ,low light is also good. Battery is impressive but its not so durable. Sad, asus... Ive been using too many sony xperia last time,i dropped them accidentally for too many times but still okey. I drop this phone just once then near the volume the metal open up.. How come ASUS just one drop and the side metal open up so quick ...

 • Got my screen cracked recently, it's only the gorilla glass though, but the glass and the screen is in one module so they replace the old screen. I have to say this new screen is really different in a good way. When the screen is off and reflecting light, the old one is greenish, but the new one is bluish. I'm pretty sure it's Samsung's AMOLED cuz my brother's s8+ also looks bluish. Probably because it's Samsung's AMOLED, it gives the deep absolute blacks that made my old screen looks terrible (uh, brownish black on 0% brightness on old screen, no white line though). So in conclusion, while I might be losing when my screen cracked (had to spent roughly $70 and waiting for 2 weeks) I also gain because of the deep absolute black the new screen displayed. I don't recommend you to drop your ZenFone 3 Zoom now to make an alibi so you can replace the original screen that sucks... But anyway I'm very happy with the replacement screen :D

 • I went XZs and I find the photo quality hit or miss! The zoom 3 looks fun and I will try it

 • Why don't asus pull over and stop making these fragile device like samsung note 7? Tf with the with lines and bending issue c'mon asus

 • Dear GSMArena, please put a review for this phone. Why did you rather put a review on pathetic Xperia L1 than this one? I'm planning to buy a new phone and I'm considering between Xperia XZs, Zenfone 3 Zoom and Galaxy S7 edge. Or can anyone gives some full review about this phone? Performance, UI, camera, battery life, design, build material & quality and any Pros and Cons. Watching review on YouYube seems doesn't satisfied me. I want honest review from real user. I'm really appreciated any reply. Thanks again.

 • I bought this phone last May 2017, after a month using the phone white line appeared on the screen. I returned it to the shop where I bought it and they immediately replaced is with a new one. The replacement unit works fine, no issue or what so ever until the 5th month, the screen just turnoff with no reasons, the battery indicator is alive and the phone can answer call despite of the condition. Since my unit is covered for warranty, the shop advised me to bring It to the nearest service center. I'm still waiting for the response or any updates from the service center for there diagnosis. hope after this issue no more shit happens.

 • buy two zenfone zoom, one to three days and the other month a white line appeared on the screen, there are many people with this problem, the previous one ze551kl tube processor problems and stopped working, never again asus

 • Been using this phone since July 7th this year. No problem whatsoever.

 • closed alternative is lenovo p2 in battery... mi a1 in camera

 • without 3rd party app multi screen & video call available?

 • 2 foot drop on the top left corner with phone case on. Screen faded to black shortly afterwards. It's only been 2 months.

 • My girlfriend bought 2 of these, and in under 3 weeks both displays and the phones have failed. Very poor quality phone, highly discourage buying it.

 • I have now purchased 2 Zenfone 3 Zooms in the last three months. I love the features, the flexibility the interface, the camera and picture quality, speed everything is nice about he phone except durability. The first one got a cracked screen within a month (and I am not really sure how it even happened, it was not even dropped) and the display faded to black. I liked the phone enough I ended up purchasing a second from Amazon. After a month and a half I noticed the body of the phone started twisting (presumably from being in my pocket all the time). Within a week of noticing that, I dropped it trying to take a picture and boom. Another dead phone. This one has a warrantee, but the phone is inherently weak. I had a Motorola X 2014 for 4 year with no incidents prior. Your mileage may vary.

 • I've had this for about a month, bought it from Best Buy (instead of Amazon because they had many issues with it) since they have a pretty good track record for quality control and there's no screen burn-in. Possibly due to the Nougat + ZenUI 4.0 update. What's best about the phone in addition to the battery (which lasts me 3-4 full days on average playing an hour of Injustice 2 every day and streaming videos) is that you can customize the saturation, so all shows I watch have a vivid, HDR-like feel to it.

 • I'd still take this any day of the week over some pos iphone with no expandable storage, an lcd display and inferior specs to mid-range competitor android devices.

 • OMG... what kind of phone is this. First white issue followed by loose power button and volume button, and now the screen lifted at the right side near the power and volume buttons. AMAZING!

 • I bought the ZF 3 Zoom one month ago. Version ASUS_Z01HD. In less than 30 days I got the white line at the bottom of the screen. On internet people say ASUS normally try to fix the phone instead replace it, and after couple days the white line is back. This is disappoint, I don't want to spend my time and money sending my phone to them and get the same issue few days latter.

 • Had the white line and screen issue before this as well.. it happened after two months i bought this hp.. however, im very fortunate coz i brought it to the service centre and it's fixed within a week.. everything is back to normal.. hopefully it will stay this way for a longer time..

 • Cannot be happier phone working better than I expected.Have used Nokia,Samsung,Sony and now Asus ... all phones had their pros and cons ... but in the end the least PROBLEMATIC was the Asus ... which as I said is working better than ANY OTHER PHONE I HAVE HAD .Will update if anything detrimental occurs ...otherwise it's smooth sailing .

 • Hi guys I brought two zenfone 3 zoom around 3 months ago. Both phones are dead now. Better buy a Chinese phone. After one moth both phones got he same line. Used for few weeks and suddenly screen started crashing with black lines . I tried to reset also. But it didn't work. After few weeks whole phone got into black screen. And now when I tried unlock on display gets a flash. Both phones same. Asus knows the old batch phones are performed on that way. So they should not sell this kind of phones. I recommend don't buy this. Better a Chinese phone. 750 USD wasted. And they don't refund and no replace. I brought from Asus international. I would like to say if you don't wanna waste your money don't buy this. I'm from Maldives. Now I have to spend 100 USD to resend and repair this phone s. Look the worst I will get. I have to forward us adress and waiting for month to get back. Who is going to take care of the loses. Im confused. And wasted.

 • I need to set up my front camera, any suggestions

 • Worst phone in this price range. Within 20 days display not wokred. Submitted to service centre and yet to receive device 10 days already over. Their service also worst ever in market. There is imo refund too. Without using phone my 27k is in their profit. What kind of cheating is this??? Can anyone please say how to get solution I.e refund or replacement..

 • Yes..white line issue on mine too. Bought it in Singapore. Called up Asus service centre and they said I will have to pay for service fees if found its software issue - even its within warranty period. They said they will repair but no replacement.Terrible customer services. I didn't send the phone on for repair as I'm not sure whether they can either fix or charge me. They seem indifference and don't know what's the issue. Now after four months since the white line, the screen starts showing dark verticle shades. It's coming on and off for unknown reason. So disappointed with Asus. First time I used Asus and I will never buy Asus phone again.

 • Sorry to know about your screen issue. Are you experiencing any problem with the Network? Where did you order from and what price did you pay for this mobile?

 • Bought in the US with no major issues so far. I've been using this for months and it's a great phone, great battery, two days use with heavy usage. 9-10 hours SOT. Can't imagine phone dying on me. I hope they have a zoom 4 with band 12 in the US and 2sim+SD card option.

 • Very sad, I am using this phone in India, bought from U.S 45 days back. I'm seeing 2 pink lines in display, tried many things but did not fix. I'm a Sony fan, but I bought this phone after seeing the specs and reviews, very disappointed.

 • after 3 days purchase, the white lines appear. luckly the shop willing to change with the new one. but they said they have to check the new phones for 3 days if the other set is having tge problem also. btw does the white line problem occur on all the 1st batch phones?

 • i just bought mine last week,as of today no white line issue as of the moment, correct me if im wrong but i think there was a recall on all first batch of zenfone 3 zoom, because of the white line issue and the issue was corrected.

 • Dont buy it got a lot of issues like mine..

 • As of today. What is the news about this WHITE LINE issue? Is it fix? Planning to buy this but this WHITE LINE issue I see or heard is pulling me back. Any tips before buying this so I wont face this issue. Because other user of this phone says that they dont experience this after the update. But not sure if it is true or not.

 • The DARK side of this, you can bring it to service center and replace/repair (white line issue ) while under warranty. What happen next is, after the warranty period, I doubt while lines will re appear and you have to shoulder all the expenses for repair or replacement. Sad but it would be true. I love you ASUS.

 • Hi! How's your phone? Does it still have whitelines? Upon receiving the replacement phone, Do you always update your OS?

 • I have been using my zenfone zoom for about two weeks. Many great features on this phone from the fabulous Amoled screen, great camera, fast processor to the excellent battery life. At half the price of a high end phone, it is a great value when you consider smartphones become obselete in a year. As a moderate user i easily get 4-5 days of battery. Updated to 7.1.1 Nougat on second day of use with no issues. Overall i highly recommend this phone to anyone looking for a great phone without breaking the bank.

 • Hi Patt, This phone is fantastic. I do not see any bad on this aside from their MAJOR ISSUE " THE WHILE LINES"

 • can anyone tell me hows this phones perfomance in terms or charging speed duration, camera, display, any laggs when opening much apps in background and etc. thankyou

 • I use this phone for about 1 month. Awesome smartphone with extra big battery capacity, clear image camera and video recording, clear sound, super clear display, big internal memory capacity, etc. Overall Great Phone, verry satisfied of it. In Indonesia just avoid batch 04/2017 for whiteline issue. Choose batch 05/2017 and newer. Greeting!

 • Dayuuummmm!! After 4 mos. here you go WHITE LINES. I am sick and tired. Going to Service Center this week for Repair and I believe it will take few weeks. How sad :(

 • posted 9th sept when bought ...charged only once after posting and have 5 days power left ,pictures AWESOME put in memory card and i gotta say ...so far I am a happy camper gorrilla glass is standing up to it's name keep forgetting about putting my keys in the same pocket as phone ...absolutely no damage ... dropped once on carpeted floor ,no funny business developed ...I guess ,I can say that I am ,QUITE HAPPY ABOUT THIS PHONE PURCHASE ...SO FAR !

 • new system update available .

 • ASUS ZENFON 3 ZOOM....White line in the screen. after replacing LCD. On and Off Signal. Too bad and sad experience.......

 • Any problem with Speaker and VoLTE ? And how is the camera? I heard lots of comments stating that VoLTE support is not there and Speaker has issues. Camera is not that great. Should I go for it or not?

 • same issue here after updating to nougat

 • just bought this puppy today to replace a horrific piece of garbage sold under the sony name...xperia xa ... makes me wanna vomit thinking about it,the sony ,that is . anyways i checked your price guide here and whoa mama $700+ ...HEY !!! I got mine for $450.oo cdn, after opening the box i put the sim car in and whammo i was in da bizness...the box was sealed yet the battery was haf charged and the phone worked like a charm ...updated took messages ,made calls and at 2 in the morn it says i got a day and a half power left.came with a protective cover ,gorilla glass face...i hope i am this happy down the road ....................

 • how to update firm ware

 • Yes, Asus has mentioned that, it's support to VoLTE. Its should work and If it not working then ur handset then check ur firmware version and update it.

 • is asus zenfone 3 ze553kl supports volte or not pls help me because yesterday i bought it online but my jio sim is not wroking in it.........

 • Mine also when your in dark room or at night youll notice a white cloudy on black screen test shame on you asus!!!

 • Better, but it is not completly dark.

 • dear, i buy Asus zoom s 3 but I don't no why there is no Fast battery charging did any one have the same problem???

 • I pretty much sure it's an AMOLED panel. Try crank the brightness to about 50% and it shows deep absolute black.

 • If I listen to music on the minimum volume level without earphones, I hear a lot of scratch sound to the extent that if it's a podcast, it's hard to understand what people are saying. Is it just me or anyone else has this issue as well?

 • Thanks! I also hope asus can fix it. Maybe it has an lcd instead of amoled...

 • I just post a bug report regarding this problem on ZenTalk. Hope they read it and solve the problem through software update.

 • Yeah, mine have the same problem. Set to minimum brightness and absolute black wallpaper, but I see some brownish-black. Hope this is just a software problem not the hardware, and hope they will release software update fixing this problem.

 • Had this phone for a few months now and would get it again. I got it right when the 7.1 update came out. Battery life is what a phone should be, I am a heavy user and can surf most of the day and still have life at the end. Upgraded from a much older phone and don't notice at all that it does not have the latest/greatest/fastest processor. Seems plenty quick. For the price vs the flagship models that are more than twice the cost this was definitely worth it.

 • I don't think any phone after Android 5.0 support moving app data to microSD anymore. MicroSD is too slow and causes a lot of bugs in apps. You can move photos and videos to micro SD. They are usually the biggest files anyways.

 • 5/2017 still is unsafe... white line changed from horizontal to vertical and at the middle of the display WTF

 • At gadong is BND$688 but other shop its BND$788

 • Does the phone support app transfer to sd card?

 • yeap. still BND$699 at most shops

 • Cant wait to buy this phone but in brunei it is pricey hahahaha

 • OLEDs provide should infinite contrast and natural deep blacks cuz screen don't lit ** Conspiracy ** It Could be that they switch from AMOLED to LCD to resolve the Issue on Whiteline Screens especially on new model without any notice If Proven this could be a BIG Trouble for ASUS(False info Advertisement of Product)and Prepare for sues from you To Know it : Try to Burn the Screen with a Lighter for 8 Seconds -if the Screen turns black then recover: It is a LCD -if the Screen turns white : it is truly a sweet amoled -But if you Love your Phone Don't do This .. Wahhaha.. AMOLED usually don't recover when burnt

 • Mine also have the same problem. The blacks are turning brown in low brightness and is still lit. My previous units were all AMOLED and this irritates me especially when using it at night. Come on ASUS! give us the deep black of AMOLED

 • This device very bad. Keyboard not working correctly. There is a lot of issue. The camera is so bad! They are very exaggerated in their site. I do not recommend this device. wretched!

 • The manufacturing date (MFD) is found on the bottom of the sticker on the back of the box BTW. So you don't need to open the box to find out its MFD. =)

 • Be sure to check the box. If the manufacturing date is 2017.05 or after you should be safe. If it is earlier, there is a chance you will get the white line. The white line issue seems to only be in the first batch of these phones.

 • can confirm this does happen to me as well under latest update

 • Hi I went back to the Marshmallow version because with Nougat, when I was recording a camera video, the music player started alone after stopping the recording. Do you have this problem? Thanks.

 • Hi NordiquesQCqatZ17, Thank you for your feedback!

 • Received my Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom yesterday at 4pm as replacement for a defective one (white line issue) purchased last May 13, 2017. The original unit purchased last May came with freebies which include 1 extra earphone and 1 extra usb-c cord. Upon returning for replacement, the store where the unit was bought demanded for all the items including freebies be returned, which I find odd and unnecessary since I already told them that only the phone had a defect and nothing else. Still I complied after being assured for replacement, which was not fulfilled yesterday with the absence of the said freebies. Pissed off with the fact that I was not even offered with a replacement unit. The replacement unit also took too long, almost enough to run my patience dry. I only agreed to take the phone after being assured that it (white line) WON'T happen again, still questioning about freebie whereabouts. It has been 33h since I had the replacement unit. Hoping I would not have problems with its display. #zenfone3zoom #zenfonewhiteline

 • Hi Jeszi8, I have the same problem with my zenfone 3 zoom...

 • Hi, I have Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom phone and everything is ok except one display issue. If I set a totally black picture (for example using Screen Test app) and I am a completely dark room, the screen is lightly lit. I have a lots of AMOLED screen phone but only this have a little light while I'm using a black picture. Only my phone have a failure or every 3 Zoom phone have this issue? It's not an LCD so I don't really understand it. Could somebody make this test and give me feedback, please? Thank you!

 • Hi I am facing issue with Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL that my SIM card 1 suddenly goes undetected. i tried swapping SIM cards, factory reset however nothing is working. i observed this after i upgraded to 7.1. Plz help

 • is it all metal including the power button and volume?

 • Thank you very much. I will check before buying. wish me luck.

 • HD Pro, Super Resolution and Portrait Mode are the 3 most useful modes for me.

 • I bought the 3G ram/32GB version from Best Buy 2 week ago. The phone works flawlessly. No white line. Battery is awesome. Phone quality is top notch. Very happy with the purchase.

 • Maybe isolated case mine have no white line but my problem is it does have weak signal on areas where I usually have strong signal.

 • Weak signal compared to my other android gadgets with the same network I hope they can fix it with an update.

 • On the upper black label on the back of the phone box, the last sentence in the end: ( Made in China ...................../MFD 2017 04 ) where MFD - manufacturing date (year and month).

 • How do you check asus zenfone 3 zoom manufacturing date?

 • Zenfone 3 zoom, bigger batery, better camera

 • Zenfone 3 Zoom is 100% better than others.

 • Help me decide: Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom or Huawei P10 or Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra?

 • Well, you will have one. Soon :D

 • I got same issue with line light at bottom.

 • I had same issue i got white line bottom of my screen. 3 time i sent to asus customer services to repair but i got same problem after 3 day i use my phone.. I felt so disappointed... 😢

 • Me personally, I've never insisted to buy it, I'm only talking about the phone I have. If u say u have some issues I have the right to say I have no any issue with Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL.

 • I wanna ask you all guys something.. Here too many guys said that this phone has white bottom line issue and not easy to be fixed. Why you all still insisting to buy this crap??? What's wrong with you guys? Still have a little hope that no such issue you gonna face? Or what??? Here i give you another bad news..!! It took me almost 2 months to figure this out.. Instagram having issues with asus zenfone series not only zoom but all zenfone 3 series. I have been using Instagram more than 2 years on my LG phones. Suddenly 2 months ago instagram hashtags stopped working..!! I can see my posts in specific hashtag but no one likes. Only my friends see and like. No new likes coming.. it made freak more than 2 months, i made reset to phone, install uninstall Instagram everything i have done..!! Useless. And few weeks ago i used my old LG to post on Instagram and more than 100 new likes came. Then i bought new LG G6 2 weeks ago. Also installed instagram and working fine no problem..!! I searched all instagram forums read more than 5k comments and only 2 guys reported this issue on forums. They also couldn't fix and changed with a new phone..!! I dunno what you guys thinking or doing but keep away from asus crap.. Don't feed hopeless hope.. Keep this Instagram issue in your mind. And don't comment noobish things about...

 • Just got it couple of days back (3GB RAM, 32GB internal storage), Have been using a Galaxy S5 for the last couple of years. After a few hours of consecutive updates to get to Android N and switching to the Google launcher. Device performance and battery life are great. The camera's auto is ok but need to test the manual mode further to know for sure. Cons: No dual band / Wifi AC support only 2.4Ghz bands/spectrum which is super saturated and max speedtest I was able to get was 50Mbps down vs 200+ on the S5. No NFC can't tap with Android pay any longer. Pros: Battery life Screen size & Gorilla Glass 5 Manual tweakability and RAW mode to play with on the camera(s)

 • thanks!

 • I understand what u r talking about but after update to nougat I don't have any issues with video playback (youtube, netflix or phone recorded), I'm using a HIGH SPEED memory card for video storage. Try to change video recorder settings or use another video player for playback and use high speed memory card

 • Okay only one bad thing with this nougat update because everything else is phenominial except for video playback that's not on youtube. Everytime if I watch a video that's not on youtube, including videos I take with my phone, It will freeze or lag and try to catch up then just get out of sync. At this point I don't watch any videos I have on my phone until they're on my computer because they are unwatchable with this freeze/lag.

 • This phone rocks my world inlove it

 • My phone's manufactured date is 2017 04, I'm using it for 1 month and 2 weeks now. No white line issue. Bought it in Canada at BestBuy mobile with 3Gb ram and 32 Gb internal memory. Overall very nice phone especially after update to Nougat 7.1.1, scrolling became very smooth and accurate. Using Auto-start manager allowing only 3 apps to work in background. Battery lasts 3-5 days depending on what I'm doing. I'm very happy with my purchase, phone worth buying.

 • When you buy z3z just make sure that the item's manufactured date is 05.2017. The 03.2017 MFD batch have whiteline issue. Issue has been fixed om 05.2017 batch.

 • moto z play ofcourse, no doubt

 • bad for me they replace LCD only, WH comes only after 1 week usage

 • Somebody please help, which one is the best : Moto Z Play , Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom , Nubia M2 ?

 • I have this phone for about a month now and this is the replacement. The first one has white line issues and when I asked someone from Asus tech they said that there was a problem on those 1st batch of the phones then they have rectified it and got rid of those issues about the white lines. . They have freebies like the JBL BT speaker and I love the phone. In fact we are comparing shots from my friend's iPhone 7+ and the Samsung S8+ and the results are amazing. Those friends of mine are pro photographers by the way, we were comparing camera phones amd they're stunned by the capture of the Zenfone 3 Zoom. Powerful phone for it's low price I tell you. Worth buying, don't hesitate. If I could only post the actual pictures, it's really stunning I can assure you and the battery life is great, good for travelling pips like me.

 • Hey there, just wanting to ask, where are you buying it, cause the listing seems to have been taken off of amazon (US) since yesterday.

 • Now buyable in Germany... for 500€.

 • Is there any issues on the nougat update? I saw many owners complainung on that white lines. How is it? Cause im planning to buy this phone

 • yes it does

 • Does it have LED notification/indicator for call & sms? Any one know about this? Please reply.

 • Good phone, snapdragon 625 with 5000mah battery, and phone still slim, really good job ASUS There are some gesture motion when screen is off. You can slide up for wake up the phone, write a word to jump to selected apps, flip to silent the phone when any incoming call and etc. Primary camera is very good, in low light, there is night mode, it can capture good photo After update to nougat you can get bokeh mode I am in indonesia, i bought this phone from authorize seller, IDR 5.999.000, No white line issue, seller give guarantee 45 day to swap the phone, if you get white line. Many people buy phone who made on May or June, there is no white line issue here, except for some phone who made on April

 • I had the problem of white line, ASUS replaced my 3gb/32gb for a new 4gb/64gb. No white line for now.

 • Nice.have you updated to NOUGAT already? my main question is,as i can read here on the comments, its always the "WHITE LINE" issue that appears on the screen. thanks

 • I wrote a couple of post on here if you look through the comment section of me using the 3GB version here in California on AT&T. Everything is great and in tip top shape, especially being on AT&T the signal is fantastic and I practically have coverage wherever I go. Now one thing to notice is that the.phone can do 4G LTE, but it will have a 4G icon (don't know why they don't have an LTE one) But Asus is weird anyway. The Camera has no problems and I've had this phone for a whole month, the battery is outstanding.

 • I've been waiting for this phone, but I hesitate to buy because I read some issues with this phone. I changed my my mind and went for Lenovo P2 which is a battery champion and great all rounder phone.

 • for the most part,it seems really the 4GB VERSION has the "white line" issue. i want this phone for the sole purpose of "phone-photography" and ofcourse communication. but im hesitant to purchase this due to the issue.im currently based in the u.s. is there someone that's here in the states that could vouch that the 3GB VERSION is clear from the "white line" thanks.cheers!

 • Yeah, noticed that too.. 4GB with white line issue here.

 • Make a full reset of yours Phone!

 • Same problem... I've just bought it yesterday, upgraded it to nougat and just try the camera today and the screen shown flickering especially when shooting light bulbs.. The front camera is ok though, no flickering.

 • updated to android 7.1.1 phone battery damn worst ever. now i have %15 left and screen on time is just 5.5hrs. I leave battery with %100 after i wake up 8-9 hrs, i seen battery down to %94-94.. Asus made a big .... up..!! I will never ever buy asus anymore. had white bottom line 3 times now having battery issue. 5000mah working like 2000mah. Damn worst update ever. dont update to nougat

 • got mine and was having white lines at the bottom. the store replaced it and 2nd phone also got the same problem. I had to have it refunded. My office mate is also having an issue with the volume button not working.

 • I Just Bought this Phone and It,s Amazing Tech

 • so,the 4GB ram version might be the one who experience the white line, you think? its only $299 at best buy right now, seems a good buy,but mostly what i have read, its the "white line" that bothers every user.

 • Updated to Nougat. Any one here able to adjust the screen size of app when on multiwindow/split screen? App's screen size remains at 50-50 ratio. Dragging the '—' up/down doesn't do anything.

 • I bought it i Canada 1 month ago at BestBuy mobile with 3gb RAM and 32 Gb internal memory. Got nougat update a couple of days ago. No white line issue. Great phone for this price. Very happy.

 • any here in the U.S. that has bought the zenfone 3 zoom that experienced the "white line" ? thanks

 • I have been using this phone for months...overall this phone works great especially the battery life...I can use this phone without charging for 2 days...the camera is great...you have to use manual mode to get greater picture especially in low light...phone's performance in running apps is smooth & no lag so far... In negative side, white line appears at the bottom on the screen after few weeks using it after have been bought...I read the other users that have the same problem as they said after sending to ASUS service center the white line appears again after a week...so, I decided to continue using with the white line because it just a line at the bottom of the screen and not affecting the usage of the phone...but after a month, my display screen is not working with flickering problem and lines accross the screen until the screen is completely cannot display a thing! The touchscreen is working fine though..So, I managed to send it to ASUS service center and they replaced the LCD panel within 2 days... Now, I have been using this phone again for a week since repaired...hopefully the screen issues not happen again...

 • "No white line" - you had and it disappeared or maybe you didn't have and it didn't appeared after update?

 • USA version has 3gb ram. I completely overlooked this since international has been released since Feb with 4gb and we recently got it a month ago. Not a deal breaker but a little disappointing when everything lists it as 4gb

 • Just got nougat update today. No white line, no issues, and phenomenal battery life. Auto start manager is a godsend for stopping background apps but make sure the things you need notifications for are turned on like email/messenger. Everything about this phone helps it just last longer imo especially coming from a Nexus 6p with a heavily degrading battery with 2hours sot

 • I bought zenfone 3 zoom white line appeared on Day 7 naturally they replaced it/ they should but after 2 mos white line appear again on the replacement unit zooming the cam is grainy and no stabilizer. So excited and loyal on asus but git disspointed

 • Bought this phone here in Baguio City, PH. And it came with a free JBL Clip 2 Bluetooth speaker. I was a Zenfone 2 user. Updated the software twice. No problems so far. No white lines. I was having doubts because there's a lot of people saying that white lines appeared after a few days/ a week of using the Z3Zoom. But so far, everything's okay. Battery - Lasts two days - using the phone for messaging, calls, browsing, reading/watching, an hour or two of gaming. I usually charge using my powerbank. No worries on overcharging since the phone automatically stops charging when it reaches 100% (powerbank powers off too). I always charge when it reaches 20%. Takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge. Camera - still prefer Zenfone2's camera (maybe because I'm more used to it lol). Pictures are noisy and poor quality on low light. Dual cam but the main function of one camera is for zooming only. Outdoors/good lighting, pictures are great (a bit saturated). Will try taking more pictures on my next trip. Gaming - been playing Asphalt8, Injustice, Marvel Future Fight, DH5.. runs smoothly. It doesn't heat up easily compared with my Zenfone2. OS - Asus could've packed the phone with Android Nougat since android n was already out last year. Well, hope they upgrade soon.

 • Hi guys... I want to buy this phone in Indonesia, but i'm afraid of white line. Anyone still has problem of white line? Or asus has solve this white line problem? Thank you

 • I am owning this phone. So far so good. Battery life is superd. Performance average. Camera average. But there is one bug. Lack of sensitivity under bottom touch screen. Sometime no unresponsive.

 • Hey guys, Anybody knows when its launch in india exactly date??? I m waiting from 1 month...

 • Also, this phone supports all bands on AT&T, including LTE

 • Yet again another update to the previous one... So I just want to make this clear, for anyone buying this phone that has AT&T and lives in California, personally I can tell you that on AT&T, this phone literally has coverage EVERYWHERE, I mean I had this phone for 4 weeks now and it's always at full bars. I previously owned a Zenfone 2 and that was the same case there. Asus has very good coverage on AT&T, now one thing to know is that you do get LTE, but Asus will display the icon as 4G, I've checked the signals and it does reach LTE. Now this is just in california, maybe it is good in the rest of the united states but I don't know, I have the US version with 3GB Ram and 32GB storage.

 • I'm so mad I love this phone but I can't use it to talk to people because people cannot hear me and when I listen to the phone call recording I sound horrible on it.im using TMobile in Ohio and it really pisses me off cause this phones battery is unbelievable.i heard the phone doesn't have band 12 that's why it's such bad signal I even took it back to get another 1 and had the same problem.i wonder if atandt will be any better Network

 • Does it have a ambient Display option or/and an Notification LED?

 • Why don't you guys post which bands the phone supports so people can see if it will work in their locale.

 • You should do reviews, you seem like a very unbiased and chill person :D

 • I bought this phone in Indonesia for almost a month and now using latest marshmallow update. The battery is very great, get 9-10 hours of SOT on single charge (moderate usage). The camera is good, the zoom feature is handy, but the quality is worsened in mid or low light condition. Performance is great, snappy, and without lag even for high performance gaming. I don't find any issue, such as white line problem. Hope the future update won't bring any problems and make the camera have better quality.

 • 2 sim, no memory 1 sim, with memory you choose, :)

 • i buy this phone, 5 days still works good. no white line problem.

 • only you sir....

 • I bought this phone at best but twice and it's the same result both times.im on T-Mobile in Ohio and people tell me they can barely hear me and that I'm in and out.basiclly the voice quality is horrible it has horrible reception I heard it's missing band 12 LTE.anyone else have this problem because I love this phone but I can't use it cause nobody can understand me when I'm on it

 • Please can anyone tell me.. i want to buy this kind of phone.. but im worried about sim slot... my question is if im going to use 2 sims.. i can still the memory card? At the same time?.. or not as same other brands phone? The are usually like that... if you use 2 sims you cant use memory card anymore...

 • anyone having problems with fingerprint not responding fast enough?

 • Hey Jeff,.how is camera quality of zenfone 3 zoom both front and rear, and also know about that low light performance of cameras...

 • Just wanted to do an update since the purchase of my phone, it's been 2 weeks and my phone runs perfectly. No white lines, no problems, no nothing. I bought my Zenfone 3 Zoom at Fry's Electronics in Fountain Valley, CA and the battery is great, also the phone hasn't slowed down in speed after using it for awhile, that 625 ain't too bad after all, coming from an 821. Only difference I'd say that the 821 did better is smoother animations and gaming performance, along with some apps opening faster like the camera but nothing to cry a river about or really be waiting around for to load for.

 • I want to bye Asus zoom what about white line problems its have any camera and software problems

 • I'm from Singapore. I just bought my ZenFone 3 zoom like 5 days ago and facing the white line issue at the bottom of the screen. I'm still on official marshmallow 6.0.1 and still having the same problem. Hopefully it's a software they they'll fix this.

 • Hi guys can u help me to my problem.. To my zenfone3 zoom.. My phone have a reverse charging problem.. It suddenly appear to my screen pop up..interface my screen... Fast blink hard to explain the situation. Just it appear to my screen and blink blink very fast continuous nonstop anyone can help me.

 • Thanks for doing that Jeff. Please update us for any changes

 • I want to buy asus 3 zoom.. Its mobile is goog or bad???

 • Guys what is the meaning of white line.. ??

 • I think they caused this white line problems and etc. For them to have work in the service centers. Logic, there will be nothing to work on if this issues doesn't come out.

 • Hey guys, so I took the guinea pig route and still bought the phone regardless of white line problems. I'm over here in California and I bought mine Zenfone from Fry's Electronics, as soon as I got it I updated it. Didn't install app or wait for anything and I updated it about three times, I ran into only one thing that was temporary but went away, but in the beginning after the update I locked my phone, then tried to unlock it and the screen flashed a dim white and when it turned back off, the flash looked as if the lcd burned out. It happen a couple of times then finally it went back to normal and the screen stayed on and that was it, I have had it for 3 days now.

 • Hi Guys, Has anyone tried to use more than 1TB external memory? Checked from some source that this device support to expand external momory upto 2TB.

 • Hi i just buy this phone zenfone zoom s(Z01HD/ZE553KL) I have problem at front camera, it can't focus to our face even try to touch the screen to get focus and alway focus on background, i find the example photo from front camera in another site, is the same focus always at background. How about you guys, is it same ?? Thanks

 • Can nougat support this phone

 • I've tried it at a kiosk in SM. Disappointed with the camera. It cannot filter out the flicker from the light coming from the fluorescent bulbs even though the anti-flicker setting is turned on. The salesperson said it was just a bit dark inside the store but I compared the camera with my Samsung A5 2016, there wasn't any flicker in the view screen.

 • Yes

 • No it isnt because of the upgrade. Still at 6.0 but still have white line issue.

 • did you even read? i locked my phone (the screen was off), put it in my bag and left it there the whole day. in any case, it looks like this happens when super boost is not set to automatically clear background apps.

 • It appears a bright line at the bottom part of the screen. Obviously abnormal as it retains its brightness even though you lower the screen brightness.

 • Oh AMAZON, nevermind, just missed that part.

 • What version are you using and where did you buy it?

 • Asus has the worst aftersales service I've ever encountered. Bought Zenfone 3 Zoom few weeks ago, noticed White Line issue on the display. Tried to search about it on the internet, and tadah! ALL* Zenfone 3 Zoom have the said issue. Tried calling them, and they kept ignoring me. They only replace said units with ANOTHER unit which has the same problem after a week. No permanent solution. Advice: Do not buy this. Check other alternatives. Asus fan no more. #Zenfone #Asus #ZenfoneWhiteLine

 • I pre-ordered the phone and picked it up at Abenson Festival Mall Alabang

 • Hello Guys, I was waiting this phone specifically because the Phone-Camera, NOT anymore after reading the feedback! I think I am getting new PhoneOne 5 instead! Regards, Henry PS. I have ASUS Tablet it sucks, can't currently update some apps, because all the million preload apps, and locked and I can't get deleted even with rooting, as not let me root the tablet! Never again ASUS in anyform!

 • Hi everyone, I got mine on May 26, got it from Amazon and so far, so good, I've been using the phone for 2 weeks now and I've had no issues with the screen. It got 3 or 4 updates on the 1st day I tuned it on, perhaps one of those fixed the issue? I also changed the launcher, I use Nova.

 • I had an issue of having those white line, just now. Please healp me to fix this. Thanks

 • I bought my phone last May 21, 2017, zenfone 3 zoom 64 gb. Just this morning, i used my phone to check some update, i was surprised that the screen was blinked and i suddenly stopped from using it, i restart my phone after the openning a white line appeared in between the space bar and the home button occupying from left to right of the screen. I hope you can help me what to do and fix it immediately. Thank you.

 • When you guys are talking about the white line, is it just one thin line at the top of you're screen? Is it thick? Is it making the phone barely usable? Does it block everything? I just want to know if it covers up the entire screen or just one line at the top or bottom.

 • I guess the white line issue is due to the recent software update but i cant rule out hardware issue. Been using my zenfone 3 zoom for about a month now, and maybe just a week after the latest software update and it was just on June.01 when those friggin white lines appeared

 • Where exactly in the ph did you buy? I really like the fone but I am also concerned about the multiple white line issues I've seen.

 • Screen replacement 4 times? Even the worst worst worst quality smartphone is just need 1-2 times sceeen replacement

 • Been using for 7 weeks. No white line issue. Bought mine in the Philippines (4G ram, 64gb variant). long battery life, lasts up to 2 days (about 4hrs gaming and about 8hrs all other wifi activities per day). up to 3 days when playing just about 1hr a day. great for daily picture taking, although picts are a bit noisy and soft when zoomed 100%, white balance is also a bit warm. But overall quality is great. GPS lockup is about 3secs. Great for offline GPS apps and turn-by-turn assist is accurate (I use HERE WeGo app for offline navigation, data connection not needed but of course you can't see traffic condition). Waze also works great. Was able to achieve 80mbps internet speed in area with strong 4G signal (got 4G+ sign). Loudspeaker for music and videos I think is loud. I don't have any other phone to compare with but I think the quality is great as well. Although sound is barely audible when volume is about 50%. Put the volume to 75% and up to appreciate the sound (both loudspeaker and headset). Call quality is great however I think volume is soft even at maximum.

 • Which model is concerned by the white line problem? I am about to buy the zoom S french version (128gb, 4gb ram)... now I hesistate...

 • We bought 2 asus. 1 had white line issue. We changed screen 4 times but still white line issue. We fought with asus service center at laat time then they replaced. We didn't open box and sold out to someone else with lower price. Another phone had no white line issue but we didn't use protector case and dropped to ground, lcd broken. Paid asus for lcd and changed screen. Before broken lcd no white line issue but after changed lcd we had white line issue with new phone also. Wtf is this crap phone from asus. They made a crap phone and couldn't fix problem yet and still in mass production. I dunno other models of asus but %100 sure i suggest you to keep away from this phone. Totally crap wasting money..

 • Does this mean that the white line issue is a sofyware based one?

 • Is it safe to buy the zenfone 3 zoom US unlocked version from amazon. I am asking bcoz no on had reviews with white line issuea in amazon.

 • After patch in the Asus New Update the white line keep appearing. I suspect Asus screw up this update. I hope Asus will fix it as soon as possible with new patch. Thank you.

 • Now seeing the white line after two weeks. I've had two asus devices prior to this, and got my mom a Zenfone 3 Max. This is the most disappointing. If you do not want stress, do not get the Zenfone 3.

 • Hardware issue

 • Is the white line issue due to a hardware issue or software issue. Is it safe to buy an unlocked US zenfone 3 zoom feom amazon.

 • whattttt, my phone is still Android marshmallow, I'm not upgrade this phone, but the white line still their, I replace it twice but the white line still their, I experience this bec I have this phone, I called the ASUS from our country about the problem, they said I change it again because of factory defect, ASUS no comment about the issued

 • I'm not upgrade my phone to nougats bec. it's not available, I buy this phone and replace 2nd time and the white line appeared, so I call ASUS but thier no comment from that issued

 • if ONLY upgrading to nougat, then the "white line" appears on the screen? can some one confirm this? someone that havent upgraded to nougat yet.thank you.

 • About the white line problem, it was probably because many of you rushed to upgrade the android system from marshmellow to noughat. There was noughat upgrade in this phone but it's not official and have many bugs include white line problem because still beta version. I suggest just be patient and keep waiting for the official noughat os for this phone. If you won't get white line problem

 • The white line problem probably appeared because you upgrade your android from marshmellow to noughat, there was a noghat upgrade in this phone but it's not official and still beta and have many bugs include the white line problem

 • Yoou leave your phone with open camera for 11 hrs? Yeah it will really drain your battery. Its your fault not the phone.

 • There's no comment from ASUS

 • I have this phone, I'm experience the white line and they replace two times but the phone always appear the white line even they replace it a new one again and again same issue, the performance are ok but it's up to you if you want to experience what I'm saying.

 • me too.specs wise superb.but the "white line" is confusing.did asus already took an action regarding this?

 • I've watch a lot of reviews in YouTube and i was satisfied with the phone. But then after reading comments here I'm confused which one to believe.

 • Ive experienced that too. they blamed me about that but im very certain that it wasnt my fault. Demand a replacement!

 • I experience the white line issue of this phone, They replace my phone wow nice, but after 5 days the white line is there again from that new phone they replace it, so don't buy it, this phone is totally disappointing waste of money, waste of time. The performance of the phone is ok, the gimmick of the camera is nice. but WHITE LINE OR DEAD PIXEL is totally disappointing, disappointing, disappointing, disappointing. >_< I there for conclude this phone is FAILED, they build it without TESTING properly the phone WARNING DON'T BUY IT

 • is this already available in Philippines? nice to have a 5000mAh battery that is li-lon. hoping that the camera would be good as what it says.

 • oh crap im planning to buy this one too in bacolod... after reading all comments, i felt afraid by buying this one... :(

 • this is one of the best phone at 2017, i´m waiting for him

 • Try software updating for camera fixes

 • why? i planned to buy it. :(

 • anybody experiencing battery drain caused by the camera? one very bad example I had was when I went to a pool and left my phone inside my bag (in storage) when i got back after 11 hours or so, the battery was drained from 90+ down to 30+% and I saw the camera has drained the battery for more than 11 hours. i left my phone locked with the power button and nobody was using it at the time. i've already removed app permissions from using the camera.

 • pros and cons? anyone?

 • I do. It started just hours ago. Just bought this fone 9 days ago. Very disappointed.

 • I love this phone cause of the battery cause in a heavy user. So far everything is good the only problem is in only getting4g not LTE which makes my browsing a little slower.

 • I do. It started just hours ago. Just bought this fone 9 days ago. Very disappointed.

 • planning to buy this phone, but i think i need a back up plan to buy another phone. i am a zenfone 2 user for 2 years and i didnt have issues with the phone. i hope asus fixed this issues.

 • It's it a software issue or hardware issue that white line problem. If i buy it will it be a huge problem

 • Mine as well have the white line.... Just waiting for the replacement.... Hoping to get a good unit

 • Anyone still has "white line" issue on the screen?

 • Beware: you can either add a second SIM card OR a SD card. This is what it means by "use SIM 2 Slot).

 • 3 Gigs and 32 ROM

 • Just purchased ZenFon zoom at BestBuy. For some reason it does not support dual band WiFi. Cannot find my ....-5G access point. Also screen is blinking when taking photos. Effect like you see the computer screen on TV.

 • I also bought mine here in Baguio (Tiongsan Harrison Branch) they ordered a replacement for me. Although its gonna take a while though. But I think Asus gave out a memo about zenfone 3 zoom about the flickering white line at the bottom, they will replace ur fone with a new one.

 • US based Model -- Based on GSMarena Article That Price Range is a 3GB ram/32 GB rom Model

 • Is this phone 3GB or 4GB of RAM? Amazon is showing it as $329 3GB of RAM. Anyone who purchased through Amazon who can confirm please? Thanks.

 • my asus zenfone 3 zoom frame is warping around the volume button. It keeps popping up like the adhesive is coming loose

 • Hi i am.from baguio city phil i also have the white line on my phone can you tell me what i should do should i go to.the nearest service center to have it replacw?

 • Has the white line issue fixed now? Can i buy it now?

 • does it have an IR Blaster ? Asus website says it has.. I'm fans of IR Blaster for remote control my TV, audio, etc..

 • Anybody tried using in the dark room. At lowest brightness, anything black, looks a bit reddish.. Not pitch black. I can run video, 20+ hrs. Camera great, almost no shutter lag. Problem is with the display. Also got white line after a week.

 • I also recommend doing software updates after purchasing the unit. I noticed that there's almost 700mb software update pending after my father purchased the unit. Also, There's a lot of software updates that fixes and updates the camera app's U.I. Once you are connected to the internet, go to settings, scroll down til you see "System updates" then tap "Check update".

 • www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-12348-1-1.html try clearing partition cache: and also do a factory reset after proper backup.

 • Disable HW overlays doesn't work for me.

 • You are welcome! I hope this will fix the white line issue until Asus fixes it with an update. That's right you need to disable it in the developer menu. Keep us informed if it works for your device, also how it effects the stand by time and performance. Thanks.

 • So I just have to enable / turn on developer options, then set "Disable HW overlays" to off? Instead of just turning off the developer options? Because I just unlocked the developer options and I was that by default, all features in there are switched off. Btw, thanks for all the infos.

 • Without a hardware overlay every application that is displaying things on the screen will share video memory and will have to constantly check for collision and clipping to render a proper image, this can cost a lot of processing power. With a hardware overlay each application gets its own portion of video memory, getting rid of the need to check for collision and clipping. Reference: Disable it and the latency period for applications and the OS (any OS, not just Android) itself to render things will go way way up because it has to check to make sure it's not screwing with memory that is supposed to be dedicated to another task than its own. Hardware overlay ensures everyone has their own partition of memory so they don't have to do those checks and so latency to render things on the screen decreases dramatically. If you're a windows user, it's typically done through using Directx. Linux desktops do it through the X Window System + OpenGL. So if you disable it, theoretically you will lose processing power quite a bit, probably some stand by time. But the flickering and white line issues will be gone hopefully. You can still disable it afterwards. We still need practical experiences from the owners of the phone. Let us know the results, battery up time etc.

 • As I understand, you can only disable hw overlays only after you enable developer options. I guess it is enabled by default. So, I think, it is not the same thing.

 • Are There CONS and PROS in Going that ? Please Reply

 • How does it differ from turning off the developer options? If the developer options was off, it would turn off that feature too.

 • For the ones who have the whiteline and screen flickering issues, have you tried the hw overlays disabling in the developer options menu? Asus had similar problems with zenfone 2, this is how they fixed the issue then. Here are the intructions; Go to settings > About device. Find "Build number" and click 6 times fast on it. You will then get the message saying: "You are now a developer" Come back to Home Screen, and then go back to Settings >Now you will see the "Developer Options" Now go to Developer options >>Hardware accelerated Rendering Section >> Find "Turn off hardware overlays" or "disable hardware overlays" >> This will force the phone to always use GPU for screen compositingThis happens after a new update as phone can't decide between CPU and GPU for drawing on screen. Reference:https://www.asus.com/zentalk/thread-12348-1-1.html

 • This phone newly started to be selling in Turkey , white line issue still exists ? Thanks

 • I think the unlimited replacement isn't true. based from what that annoying seller told me they can only replace the unit until 1 month. they can only provide fixes after that. Wew, I am still not confident with my 3rd replaced phone, well hopefully the white line issue won't occur right now :(

 • Just a while ago, my fear did come true....the white line appeared (bottom portion of the screen) while watching a Youtube video. Asus should immediately have a recall since it happened also from other countries. Got this unit to replace my asus selfie phone last April 28, 2017....(SM Bacolod, Philippines)....

 • Hi Asus, got my asus zenfone 3 zoom last April 28, 2017 from Asus Concept Store, SM City Bacolod. Just a while ago while watching you tube video (6:00pm), the white line appeared in the bottom portion of the screen.....I might be the latest user to experienced this problem. I think ASUS should now have a solution or a recall worldwide as this also happened in some other countries....sad...sad....sad. I bought this unit to replace my asus selfie...

 • This shit is the same as asus zenfone 2. It ll grow and force u to replace the lcd. This is how asus make money

 • Any news about the white line issues now??

 • I had the same problem.. White line on the screen.. They say it's only replaceable if returned within 7 days.. If there's a memo from Asus then does it mean I can have my phone replace again? It will be my 2nd time.. If this will continue, can they just refund my purchase.. It's such a hassle having to do all the back up again and again.. Such a disappointment!

 • Same problem, a white line appeared within three weeks of use.

 • After 1 month of using the ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom, the white line appears! I notice this when I am playing MLBB. White line flashing at the bottom of the screen and stops. So now my phone have white line at the bottom of my screen already. Its not really a big issue but i am afraid it expands or grow. Is it a dead pixel? How serious this problem?

 • Same with white line issue. 1st time. How long was the replacement?

 • Any news about the white line issue?

 • Buy Zenfone 3 instead. Useless phone....It was so promissing then....They should have gone with a better processor and Nougat of the box.....

 • how long will take for the replacement/repair of bottom white lines?

 • Have some options first bro, i think this will take a month or months until Asus fix it. but still an awesome phone no regrets when i bought it. Be Updated, have some time to visit Asus Stores near you and have a chat with them about that fix. But if you already bought it, and the white line issue appear Asus is open to replace your zenfone 3 days of ownership still nothing appearing and hoping for the best.

 • I also returned my zenfone 3 zoom with the same issue last friday. Still waiting for the notice from the service center.

 • Is the white line issue fixed yet? Because i will buy this after the issue has been resolved...

 • I was about to do another replacement since the white line issue is still showing up, 2nd time. But right after we removed the jellycase, we've noticed that the volume key side of the phone somehow opened(the metal part). Its really disturbing, I didn't even dropped it. I still don't know how it happened, I just noticed it after they removed the case. I haven't removed it since the replacement. Hay GG

 • Did you bought it also at SM Bacolod Asus store? I Already had the 2nd replacement, hopes nothing happens still observing it.

 • dude. it happened again! this is my 2nd time now. can I have your contact details? Where exactly did you bought your phone? mine is at asus kiosk at sm city

 • guess what. I've replaced it last friday, updated the phone. and after 2 days, that fricking white line came out again. WHAT THE HECK IS GOING ON HERE 😤 This is really quite irritating.

 • Can you please Ask him again? because it is a very big help to every Zenfone 3 Zoom user thanks!!!

 • Silver color available in Malaysia or not

 • GSMArena battery endurance test? I would like to see the battery life of this phone compared with the Zenfone Max, which I own. Asus website says that the Zenfone 3 Zoom doesn't last as longer as Zenfone Max. Hope that is false.

 • Can you tell me how you did it? I have my replaced two times but still this issue persist. I also think it is not because of the hardware. Thank you

 • india lunch date pls

 • Are silver color available in Malaysia

 • No worries about replacement or repair. All our phones are still under warranty. The point is, so hassle and disappointing. Let us be positive and hope ASUS is working and looking for a permanent fix on this issue.

 • Same white line issue here! Bought the phone here at SM City Bacolod Asus Concept Store 3days of ownership no, phone fall, scratches and etc and the free case intact. I really should demand a replacement..

 • good for you. mine is already 3x replaced. bought at asus sm city cebu store, pre-ordered.

 • Demand your store to replace your unit. The white lines is national issue. Mine already 2x replaced. My third unit seem will suffer again same issue this coming days.

 • This is the first time ASUS failed, sad to say. I am a big fan of ASUS in term of PC hardware, as well as ROG user too. This is the first time I bought non-apple phone. Mine is still ok after the new replacement. Also a "victim" of white lines :) They should recall all Zenfone 3 zoom product and provide us the latest model :)

 • hey guys my phone for the third time having bottom white line issue. I hate asus so damn much now. i back up my data very troublesome, i lost most of data last time and this is third time..!! like a damn joke..!! Hong kong service center says no replacement only fixing but i had same problem 3 times and right after fixing within 4 days. asus made a big crap with this phone. i will never ever buy this brand again. ill fix the phone one more time and sell it to half price. asus just playing game with you. biggest crap phone ever...!! asus cheating your money in such way. no replacement, no customer service, no solution..!!

 • Mine was already replaced 2x. Replaced last april 25 and may 3, white lines same issue.

 • So you can get unli replace of the phone?? Asus stores only or it can be any store that sell this phone? Im also from the ph

 • Yup i went to asus servicing center here in cebu and they had a memo (asus main office) already pertaining this issue of having a white line in the screen....actually, they resquested to have your phone replaced with a new one. 👍👍👍 and the good news is the replacement is unlimited meaning if the second phone is still have the problem just bring it to the store....

 • Appears that due to quality issue still doesn't exist any date to be available on Europe or USA, too bad Asus after 6 months

 • dude, have you tried the service center? please pm me

 • Same with me...im from cebu city. I bought my asus zoom for about 16 day ago and the screen was fine. Until yesterday i noticed that a white line at the bottom of the screen appeared permanently. I tried to contact the store and the service center but they have the worse service center. Asus is selling factory defective phones.

 • I also had the white line issue, most of the group members of Zenfone 3 Zoom users in FB Group has this. Please fixed this!

 • got white line as well at the top of the screen, is it caused by the recent update of the OS? for those who are wondering what is this white line, it's like a white dead pixel on your screen

 • yes, from cebu to be exact. me too, at first I thought it would just go away after updating its OS. daaaamn it. will have to go to the nearest service center. uugh

 • I just experienced the white line now.. I'm from the philippines. I'm planning to have it exchanged in the service center since it's still within the warranty.

 • After a week. A line also appear in the bottom of my zoom 3 screen. Sad.

 • Are you from the philippines? I got up this mornjng and found my phone with white line at the bottom of fhe screen. Ive been using it for a week when it shown up. I think its all crap hardware malfunctioning. So sad its a great phone though asus didnt polish it

 • I'm having this white line right now after 2 weeks of using. I tried and reset the factory settings still this line is showing. How do we fix this? Or does it have to be replaced?

 • Can you please tell us what is the reason why asus zenfone 3 zoom have the white line at yhe bottom of the display? Your comment on how to remove it will be a good help. Thank you

 • a friend of mine actually remove that white line he said, he also said its not from the hardware but from a software just forgot to ask what it is...

 • nice... and I see this is much more better than the pretty HYPEEEEE OPPO F3!!! IMHO.. :-D

 • i saw on youtube its about 2hrs

 • Hi how many hour charging time this phone

 • hye there..can somebody post the picture of the so called white line that made the issue. i restrained myself from buying this smartphone after read everyone complaint.

 • Heyyy, Here in Cebu, Philippines, so i bought the pre-order last 04/25/2017 worth 23,500++, w/ JBL clip 2, tripod, 2 zenear, 1 extra phone to pc/charger cord. no type C otg, android version is still marshmallow. I have read that there is a white Line showing below the screen after few weeks???? well no white lines here yet.. I still need more testing, Im watching 13 reasons why and it is lagging.. i dunno maybe the app has problems im using MX player.

 • Yep, same camera but better results S7 and S8 :)

 • Hi... im from malaysia...My wife phone also have a white line at the bottom of screen. After one week used, found that line. I thought my wife has drop the phone. Go to service centre, and they repaired the screen. After one week used again, the line appear again. Just realise after 100% charging the phone. This week, want to go to the service centre again. Hope can fix the problem or just change a new device. First time used this brand, what the bad luck i had choose

 • Are you going to mention how the iPhone 7 Plus, Samsung S7/S7 Edge, and S8/S8+ also have the "same" camera? Just because they're the same on paper doesn't mean they're the same in reality

 • This might let you down, this is ASUS not Rexona. :)

 • This do not have any bad quality, aside from unexpected white lines and even ASUS does not expect that. Phone is 100% good on any aspect.

 • Hi, I understand it is a bad quality product, and even the G5 plus has the same camera, so will never be release to more high requirements markets like USA or Europe, they dotn even meet the normal requirements to sell this phone on this markets, is it true?

 • I bought this Asus zenphone 3 zoom from Philippines, I read one of the comment that they see a white line somewhere below the phone, but for my Phone there is NO white line issue. I tested the phone: The UI of Asus zenphone is new for me (former Samsung user), it's ok for me for the mid range phone The games performance was awesome, No lag ( If you have a phone like this better suggest to off MAGNIFICATION GESTURES, why? bec. thsi gesture allowed to zoom in when you pinch two or more The CAMERA was ok for me its like a manual DSLR, but you can take a AUTO if you want. The BATTERY, this is one of most intrigues for me 5000MAH ( For me I try to Play a game, watch a movie HD, call , internet YOUTUBE and etc, It's run 2 days or 1 day and half. The only I miss on samsung is a multi task, to minimizes or the make two different use I hope Asus make this. Why I buy this phone? before I buy I choose 2 mobile Phone, Samsung A7 2017 or ASUS Zenphone 3 zoom but I choose Asus to feel the different phone.... and I would like to test the durability of this phone ehehehe... Good Luck to me.... I hope this phone Do not let me down......

 • i wont to know why in indonesia protec on this display must corning gorilla glass 3 if this news true it's a bad news for me

 • Do not expect that pictures are cleared when it captured from zoom ( x12). It's the way it work. It's a digital zoom and it is normal.

 • Zenfone zoom in Philippines are made from where? I bought mine here at Malaysia still in two weeks no white lines. Mine is made in China. My issue is the camera during zooming, its blured. Not good as advertised.

 • I bought my Zenfone 3 Zoom 2 weeks ago. So far its ok. The battery can last 1 1/2 day. I day open wifi and playing Mobile Legends during night. My issue is the camera. The zoom is not really as advised. It is blured. Any settings that I can change? Over all, Its fast ( maybe I havent install yet any thing). No lagging and the AMOLED is crispy.

 • Is this phone worth buying?im from malaysia, and the price is around rm1900,,should i wait the price to drop or find a better phone that this

 • What's the fix?

 • Just RMA'd mine. lasted for 4 days and line appears at the bottom of the screen. Hope this new one I have will be a good one. :)

 • We have bought 3 pieces of zoom from hong kong. 2 of them had white line problem at bottom of screen. We took to warranty. Another one had fast charge problem. All the time shows 6hrs to full charge. Asus made a crap. Everyone complaining with phone here. Service center guy told us almost half of phones coming back here cuz of display problem. And there is no guarantee that display not gonna cause any more problem in future again. Repairing time more than a week. Too much. In hk samsung repairing time 45mins, sony 1 day max, hp 2 days max. Asus very slow and their phones crap. This is first time we bought asus, next time definitely wont buy anymore..

 • A lot of zenfone 3 zooms here in the Philippines have this white line problem at the bottom of the screen. Anyone from other countries experiencing the same issue?

 • The issue we encounter in Taiwan is that the metal frame around volume button is weak. Maybe you need to find a solid case to protect it.

 • With similar spec, lenovo p2 got Endurance rating at 149 hr, I think Zenfone 3 Zoom can achieve the same score in battery life. Camera is great, but still cannot competitive with Google Pixel, Samsung S7 or HTC 10 in Auto mode (Manual mode is a better choice if you like photography). Snapdragon 625 is a mid class SoC, the performance is smooth and temperature is cool. But if you want to play games which require high-end GPU, find a S820 device or iPhone is better.

 • does it have any issues?? how was it is the performance ,camera and battery?? how long did the the battery last?? pls answer quick im planning to buy this phone and can you help me decide which phone is better and has a high specs with low price i have two options its either this phone or oppo f3

 • When is this mobile phone will launch in India?

 • How about the battery? Is it lasting longer or the same with the older version?

 • why don't you review this ZE553KL

 • you're bullshiting men the camera of zenfone 3 is fantastic, now imagine that how good is this one could be it cant be possible that you said zenfone 3 zoom camera is not good i am sure that the camera is superb

 • You bought an iPhone 7 Plus, not Zenfone 3 Zoom

 • Is this phone is available in Indonesia ? If not, when it is going to be?

 • Asus zenfone zoom online buy in india ???????????

 • Is this phone is available in India? If not, when it is going to be?

 • I think you have got a fake phone. Mine has a good performance camera and battery .

 • use manual mode to use the telephoto

 • Maybe you buy a fake one. Lol

 • Anyone realise that the phone never uses the zoom lense in auto mode? Or is it just mine? When I tap on the 2.3x zoom button on the camera viewfinder, the camera zoomed 2.3times but still using the wide angle lense. I realise this when i tried covering the zoom lense while zooming. At any level of zooming, only the wide angle lense is used. I only manage tu use the zoom lense in manual mode when I manual choose the zoom lense. Anyone experiencing the same thing? Or is it just mine? My latest firmware update is april 2017.

 • Those who comment bad reviews on this phone's camera at noob users of smartphones.

 • from wer u bought?

 • please review this one. Very interesting spec sheet on this model

 • Hi, Sometime you need to set the ISO (value) at 400 ASA.

 • We should wait for gsmarena's review...

 • Asus Zenfone 3 zoom is the unique smartphone powered 5000 mAh in the world

 • I'm very happy with the Zenfone 3 zoom. Unique in Europe. Got the item from Taiwan. Got the phone within 4 working days. For me is the Asus Zenfone 3 zoom the best one. Metal frame, Goril. glass 5 generations. Azus is the first phone powered with a huge battery of 5000 mAh. If you like to photography.... is the Zenfone 3 zoom the best one. The Zenfone 3 zoom is not available in Europe and (not yet) in the USA. 4 GB ROM 64GB RAM expandable with micro sd card of 256GB Mostly I need to charge the item in 5 days or more. For other phones, I need recharge the item more often... Thanks Asus for wonderful phone.

 • GSMARENA please review this phone, Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom ZE553KL

 • yes it does...

 • does it have Notification LED?

 • Thanks mate...i was waiting for the phone (especially for the great specks that have the camera on paper) but if it's looking good just on paper i'm moving on (1+ posible the new one witch will come soon)

 • Hi all. I have bought this phone, but even though it says the camera is fantastic it doesn't deliver. It is one of the worst cameras in a Smartphone I have ever owned, losing handily to my Moto G4, my older Lumia 930, and even is worst than phones from several years ago. The camera simply has no definition or sharpness. All images look blurred even in very bright sunlight. As if they were finger painted or something. Do yourself a favor and don't buy this. Not worth the money.

 • I am in the exact same boat as you Dan! I ordered from BH last month as their price was hard to resist! The original ship date was end of April which has now been pushed out to the end of May... I got it for my wife who loves taking photos... I used to have a Note 7 until the recall... I now have a Pixel xl and an LG V20... I am curious to see how good the 3 Zoom is?! I have my eyes on the S8 plus and LG V6... I am also considering holding off until the Note 8... decisions decisions lol

 • the best website on the net about mobile phones. If they don't read it....their loss

 • Please review this smartphone

 • I pre-ordered on B&H at $329.00 (now sold out) and they messaged that the phone would begin shipping on 05/28/17. I prefer a delay than to have what happened with the LG G4 which was months of overheating, bootlooping and frustration, got a replacement, same thing with the replacement then finally got a refund.

 • Whaaattt, somthing wrong is popping

 • Well, I guess Asus reads theae comments . Asus, in charge of Japan gave new their smartphone for free to the man who broke his Asus phone and posted about that on Twitter. Companys use specific SNS or web site for marketing.

 • It has the same camera like G5 plus, which took only one month to be available to the market, and asus after 4 months still we don't even know when will be available. So... really disappointed....

 • For some reason Fry's listed this a few weeks back for $399.99, there's a pointer on the price

 • You made suggestions to Asus through Gsmarena ? Lol. What makes you think Asus is reading Gsmarena comments ?

 • And, by the way, the question of price. Afair, the price for the entry model was calculated with around 399.- US $ ...

 • There is quick launch bar on top of notification bar. No way to disable it. You have to put at least 4 useless things up there which is very pointless and stupid. Notification bar icons very big, no way to make them smaller. Keyboard is very stupid when you type, on left corner bottom they put settings icon which should be next to space bar, i often accidentally touch settings in order to change characters and this killing me when typing. I downloaded new keyboard but nothing can be like original. Back space touch pad on left side which i couldn't get used to it. Should be customizable or right hand. When you change simcard, simcard slot very stupid. If you face with your phone screen and take simcard slot out, all sims and sd cards dropping down cuz they made slot reverse. They tried to make difference but screwed up. Bottom of phone touch pad, back space, show desktop and menu options, no light when you use phone at dark places. If you use your phone at dark places pressing those touch pads killing me. Can't even see anything. Screen is round. So if you use temper glass its not totally reaching to corners which is very dangerous if you drop phone even with back cover. %90 lcd screen could be broken. So using temper glass even useless to protect screen. With such 5000mah battery, apps optimization not good. Screen on time under any conditions not more than 9-10hrs. Standby time of phone very bad. Around 100hrs. If you fully charge phone and leave it on normal standby mode till morning, sometimes i have seen battery comes to %92 after 8 or 9 hours. Sometimes %96 during all night. Its very terrible. You have to activate battery saver mode which temporary disables networks. Then battery only down %1 during all night. But cuz of disabling networks can't get any urgent whatsap msgs untill you wake screen and also if any vpn connected at background automatically drops and awaiting to reconnect till you wake your screen. Also i have seen camera is not that good. Camera draining battery very fast. Obviously not well optimized. And for pictures i compared with my friend's LG G6, for details maybe zoom shows abit more details in close shots but generally G6 camera seems much better than zoom camera. I dunno what they did smth wrong but i totally dislike camera. Not like original Sony, seems like fake. Btw after taking photos to browse phone doesnt let you zoom pictures too much only few times zoom. Samsung phones letting you zoom picture too much which makes you see quality of camera. This asus phone name is zoom but not letting you much zoom in photos. Crap.. Outside speakers good enough but ear phone sound is not that strong. Max sound is abit less which causes you to hear outside noise. Even cheap model of LG X Power max ear sound louder than zoom. There is Asus Customize option on settings but totally crap. Only few classic options in it. Phone doesnt recognize any other quick charge 3.0 header. You must use it's own charge header. Otherwise charging time up to 5hrs. Generally phone looks good but after you use it for a while you clearly see some annoying stupid things. I dont suggest you guys to buy this phone. I dislike it. Also dont forget that, I sent email to asus typed everywhere about those issues, more than 2 weeks no reply. Very bad service from asus. If you wanna buy similar midrange phone, consider about C7 pro. Smaller battery but well optimized, abit lower quality cam but still better than average. Rest of all much better than asus. Best

 • Since this phone is taking too much time to be released, I would't buy anything. S7 is much worse than the Zenfone 3 Zoom. It has much more little battery and it hasn't got such a good sound system. I have the Zenfone Max which lasts for one whole week withouth charging and I would never change it for an S7, which with difficulty would reach three days.

 • Hi, more then 4 months lost waiting for nothing, What phone would u recommend instead? S7 or Moto z maybe?

 • The optical zoom is 2.3x THEN you go into digital zoom if you like. That is one of the cameras which is 59mm. The other camera is 25mm and it is f/1.7, they also work in unison in some cases. Then there's also a front camera. I do appreciate the 2.3x (59mm) because sometimes you don't want a wide angle shot and that is not digital zoom.

 • 12x zoom is rubbish, just a marketing gimmick. It is just normal digital zoom. Basically you only have 25mm and 59mm. Battery life 9-10 hours screen on time although 5000mah, similar SOT to moto z play 3510mah stock nougat updated. Probably same old issue with zen ui is not fully optimized.

 • Shity marketing, After 4 months in Europe still wil not arrive, Total silence from ths "great" Asus

 • In Philippines, it will be on sale on April 6 with a lot freebies worth PHP 4800 Updates Made by ASUS is updating the OS from v6 to v7 Nougat out of the Box

 • yah right

 • i have tested phone. below review was very good. but battery life is terrible with such big battery. screen drains battery too much. wifi also draining battery too much. i did everything but cant increase result. so generally battery socores here below, standby time: 100hrs web browsing: 9hrs - from 100 to 0 (screen brightness was auto and in the middle) youtube video also similar: around 10hrs if you use camera non stop around 4 hours can be used So as a result, what is written on asus website, 25hrs of web browsing or 6 days standby or whatever all fake. never trust Dont believe in company result. Use by your own. So if you compare with samsung C7pro with such 3300mah smaller battery giving much better results then asus zoom. Asus this time made very good phone with crap battery life.. so with such crap battery life no need to buy this phone. btw i used first time Lg G5 battery fast charger 3.0. But phone charged toooo slow around 5 hours. so didnt recognize another fast charger. But battery life was similar after i used. So been charged properly. Then i used original charger, charge time was around 2.5hrs and usage of battery web browsing exactly same around 9 hours not more than that. So dont trust this phone when you go out and use your phone browser often all day. LG G6 has similar browsing results 8.5hrs but its real result no draining battery. i knew it from G5. it says 7.5hrs and i got same result each time. So asus made battery consumption very terrible. Phone running android 6.0.1 now how i made battery life test, no simcard. wifi is on, listen music at background and browse website or instagram screen brightness auto and in the middle After 10 hours till phone no juice i have seen that wifi used total of 1000mah of battery which was totally horrible ahh btw forgot to tell you, havent found any standard music player on phone widgets. Very funny tho

 • Last time i checked, asus wanted to improve better zoom 3, so they delayed it until q2. Til today, several countries begin sales of zoom 3 WITH NO IMPROVEMENT. Now i know why MOST PEOPLE AVOID THIS BRAND.

 • They (manufacturers) don't care about (our opinions) us ~ Michael Jackson

 • thank you much for the review!

 • As people said already Oppo F3 plus catch the Indian Market very Soon. Today Oppo announced next model phone it is available from April 1st onwards. Latest 16mp Dual pixel Camera far far better than Asus Zoom dual From facing camera for wide angle and Bokeh effect. Really oppo Rocks will Rock the Indian market after March. I have already made my suggestions to Asus through Gsmarena. But never listened to it. God only can help asus in indian market.

 • How about the low light picture quality as compare to Samsung S7?

 • how about the bokeh effect on the main cameras??? TY

 • great review! how about camera in SLR mode and taking videos in slow motion?

 • Here is my review of this phone. First of all, telling u that only Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore and Japan versions supporting cat6. All other country versions of this phone only cat4. Which means only those 4 countries supporting 4G+. Other countries only 4G. Japan no unlocked version. So only you may order other 3 countries versions of you need 4G+. So I had 64gb Hong Kong version 4G+ dual SIM card. Phone looks great. Screen very well and bright. When you read something your eyes feel comfortable. Only the thing is dpi a bit lower around 401. Should be over 500 for such phone. But not a big problem tho. Phone has supercolor mode that's why colors are amazing. Gorilla glass 5 works fine on this phone. Speaker very very loudly. And plus if you are outdoor there is outdoor option for making speaker louder. Earphone sound very clean. Not extremely loudly but enough db and very clean sound. But box content ear phone crap. Suggest you to buy LG Sony beats or some other good brands. Phone a bit heavy in hand but not big deal. There could be 5.7inch for such big case but its ok. I haven't seen lag on phone. If you browse too many things share internet listen music and push the phone with more apps you can feel sudden freeze sometimes but it's extreme situation. So CPU and 652 board works fine on phone. Keyboard very good. Comfortable and easy when you type. Taking ss very easy. Phone has double tap wake and sleep mode. I guess no need to talk about camera. One of the best Sony. I love taking pictures with phone. But second cam only for zoom. There is no wide cam like LG G5 or G6. Last thing is battery life. Battery has few options for saving. I tested battery with normal standard option. Auto screen brightness. So standby in standard mode is around 110hrs. Web browsing(screen on time)is around 12-15hrs. Depends on how you use. Only web or spend time on play store or picking phone settings or whatsapp or using mail or see pictures. I guess from 8am to 8pm. Battery will be no problem even under heavy usage. Still %20 left when back home. Watching YouTube time also same as browsing around 12-15hrs. Don't forget, screen brightness and camera sucking battery too much that's why there is battery saver mode for cam when u use it more than a min. So I suggest you to use auto or a bit dim. Playing game also very good on phone. There is gaming mode option to record yourself and screen when play and auto adjust battery life CPU usage against drain. I like it. Playing game time also very similar more than 10hrs. I played castle clash and clash of royal. If you play hearthstone or pokemon or need for speed, SIM city needs more battery so you can play around 8hrs. I have been using LG x power. Standby was 60hrs screen in time was 13hrs which was extremely amazing score for me. So ASUS battery life not as much as x power cuz x power sd 210 and screen is crap. But generally no lag and working fine. If you think ASUS with great screen glass 5 best camera this battery life is very good. And last word is if you ask for price in hi, 64gb dual SIM version black with ASUS warranty is around 450USD. If I forgot to tell u anything just remind me, I can tell you more details. All the best.

 • when available in India???

 • Widget City P23,900 64gb

 • Charge time: 2&half hour approximately. 0-100% 24hrs of video loop

 • So, what's the SRP for both this phone and the Huawei one in the ph?

 • The Zenfone Max drains a 2% each 12 hours if you don't use it. I guess that it discharges a 5% each 12 hours if you don't use it but leave data on. And if you are using it, it discharges a 3% each 30 minutes. A normal device like a Galaxy S4 for example, discharges a 8% each 12 hours if you don't use it. And a 8% each 30 minutes of continuous usage.

 • Hello friends I have been waiting for this phone to come out but it has not been turned off and it has been said that it is delayed from you again what should I expect you to help me when selling in turkey thanks for the answer

 • Above rm2k but below rm3k in 32GB (average rm2399)

 • What actually the price of this phone in malaysia?....for the 32gb i want to know....thank you....

 • That's bad because I have Xiaomi Mi 5 and battery drain only 8% per 12 hours if I'm not using it so not so bad

 • lmao, megapixel race is over, everyone said so too. there's no point on having ridiculously high megapixel but results in a worser low-light and autofocus-speed capability lollll

 • Here in the Philippines. Huawei Gr5 2017 is currently the best selling mid range device. Great Camera, Performance, Display, UI, upgradeable to Nougat, and good after sales support. Asus Zenfone zoom may have an advantages with the battery and having USB type C connector but still the price diff 6000 is too much for the Asus Zenfone zoom.

 • Who bought this phone? Let's review it

 • point noted but without dual camera means they can give also upto 23mp camera on that price like Zenfone zoom(intel)

 • Dear Asus, You're always teasing us up until now. Let me tell you OPPO F3 PLUS in on his way to the limelight. Your loosing your charm.

 • sadly every brand does this today

 • *Lenovo P2 *Oukitel K6000 Pro *Oukitel K6000 Plus *Oukitel K10000 Pro *Gionee M6 *ZTE Blade A2 Plus *Samsung Galaxy A9 Pro (2016)

 • non removable battery?????? lol

 • zenfone 3 zoom with SD625 without dual camera (midrange) LOL, WHY IT'S NAMED ZOOM THEN?

 • Could somebody please advice some phone with similar specifications?

 • So analyze battery statistics, install Gsam Battery monitor or something like that. Batteries never drain without a reason. Some application must be using the battery when it shouldn't. A common problem that I had on Zenfone Max on Marshmallow was that GPS turned on itself all day long, although I had it clearly turned off. But the problem solved downgrading to Lollipop. Most of battery drain problems can be solved by analyzing battery statistics and taking some sort of action. I will not buy this phone if you talk such bad things about battery. Because I really hate when battery drains fast without a reason. Wow it just really grinds my gears. If I buy this phone or another different one and have battery drain issues, I sling the phone out through the window! Fortunately, my current Zenfone Max never has fast battery drain since I solved the GPS problem. It only discharges when I am using it a lot. And it discharges very slowly. Indoors, it only uses to discharge a 3% each half hour of continuous use.

 • I checked this phone for half day.. This phone global version doesn't support 4G+ technology. What a shame for Asus. Screen brightness not that bright in maximum. With such a good camera, screen ppi only 401. What a shame. No multiple user support. No 128gb available yet. No water resistance. No double tap screen wake option Battery 5000, but sometimes battery drains very fast. Dont know reason. Think twice before buying this phone!!

 • S8 has a small 3000 mAh battery like my S7. I regret buying S7 because of fast battery draining problem. I'm thinking to sell my S7 when Assus release Zenfone 3 Zoom with 5000 mAh battery.

 • I do not understand what the sales management for this phone is but it is not a good one imho.I think maybe they discovered a problem and they want to solve it? Or maybe they have not the capacity to build the phones on a large scale...

 • What do you mean by "as of today"?Is the zenfone 3 zoom not any more available in the US?Where is you're soource?

 • ASUS - are you selling this frie..king phone or been just teasing us. By the way, as of today, not in for sale in US, total bull...!

 • review plz

 • You must be kidding.. Ill go for s8 then.

 • Samsung galaxy s8 is almost here....lol... Delay more asus and you will surely be at the bottom.. Frankly im tired of waiting for this phone..since december? Hmp.. My present cp needs to be replaced, i cant wait any longer.. Its not doing good anymore..i must have a new one now..

 • i like it, but all these things are on paper. We need a good, detailed review to know how the whole thing works

 • price must be 800$

 • It is very worthy to wait for this phone to be released. In my opinion, it is the best phone ever in the whole market. High quality screen. High quality speaker. High quality camera. Pretty good chipset. Attractive look. And most important: a good battery backup.

 • Definitely this spec New asus zenfone 3 zoom with SD 835, 5000mah and Dual Camera (High-end) and ZenFone 3 Zoom with SD625 5000mah without Dual Camera (Mid-Range) now Waiting for Nokia losing hope with asus like iPhone ISO in android OS Only ASUS will give us Better Premium phone's (itwasmydream) Other brands r using androidOS like garbage no reason to use...

 • Gsm pls review this phone. Tnx

 • Asus says delay for better specs....snd 835,curved display?

 • Am not sure which one I buy s8 or Sony or asus

 • is it going to be a 5G compatible device?

 • I love everything about this phone except that I wished it had the 626 chipset instead. Does anyone know if Asus will replace the 625 of this phone with the newer version (even at a higher price)?

 • We waited 3 months without any updates from asus, in this moment they just said again delay without any details at least when will be available, in this moment i belive can be a better option s7 edge which got really cheaper or G5 plus same camera more cheaper, sorry asus

 • Hello Asus, This is right time to introduce Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom in phillipines. once Samsung S8 released You cannot run even in the camera competition. Think twice and release Zenfone 3 Zoom. because of Camera having 1.7f. Camera lovers will really like and also certainly It beats Iphone 7 plus. so do not delay for any specific cause. release it asap in INDIA. Then it is ur fate. God only can help you Asus.

 • Does it supports voLTE

 • Hello Asus, This is right time to introduce Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom in INDIA. once Samsung S8 released You cannot run even in the camera competition. • My dearest electronic progress enthusiasts.Very fine specifications for a high quality midrange class, but $ 600 price is very hard to digest for many many!!!?Hopefully Asus moderators in order to have the higher hands in midrange crowded market class reconsider and revise the price for everyone everywhere worldwide!!Just as an example:RN3 and RN4 of the mainland sell their most selling models almost one third of Zenfone 3!!!Why not Asus most the powerful quality quantity should not be able to be guidelines too!!!?Thanks all mentioned names!Justice Rights.Omid 12 Omidvar.is the enthusiast quality supporter of all brands worldwide,....

 • I agree, full review, not that short cheap flyer

 • i am waiting for asus zenfone zo0m and zenfone ar..when these are launching in uae market,,,please give the reply

 • Please do a full review for this phone as soon as possible thanks gsmarena

 • nice but looks too much like an iphone....You decide if like the design or not, other than that is nice and it has a good batery backup! Probably has been delayed because , me an zenfone 3 user I´m still stuck on android 6 MM.....

 • What about sales in Europe ?

 • Asus has become the new HTC

 • We are expecting this to be in the ranges of $350-410.

 • 450$ aprox is the price

 • planning to buy this phone, but with that price no way! i expected it to be 300usd

 • Wats the price in yo country !? N can I know ur country name ?

 • If this phone is priced as refurbished galaxy note 7? Hmp???? I will think again..

 • review please

 • How good is the image quality???

 • im still waiting here in the ph. what happened asus??????

 • Yes. Not everyone like to play heavy game with mobile phone.

 • please review this phone

 • better not wait. it will be priced rudiculously maybe 35,000rs. go for other phone

 • what takes Asus so long to sell the Zenfone 3 Zoom in all regions?

 • imagine, not everyone plays games.

 • I'm looking forward for this fabulous phone to be released here in the Philippines.

 • Correction: It was announced just today that it's price would be around $400 and no, the G5 may have the same chipset, but it won't have the same dual camera setup, so there's no way the G5 is gonna beat this. and even just in it's design, the Zoom beats the G5

 • True..

 • Ive been waiting for this phone... But if its overpriced then id rather go for Lenovo P2 with 5100mah battery..

 • Don't worry, Moto G5 plus is coming with same chipset, camera and everything.. Added advantage is nfc. For half the price

 • agreed. it can't handle heavy games as good as a standard flagships nowadays. Sd625 is nothing compared with the Sd810 & Sd821. It just a power efficient chipset for a midrange phones, not for a flagship. My conclusion is, this phone is not worthy

 • How much in your country?

 • what is nfc?

 • NFC has security loop hole. I rather use Share Link that that built by Asus to share file, it will be much useful to me.

 • All other phones with NFC are prone to hackers, so it is still ok without NFC, this is worth it!!!!!

 • this phone doesnt have NFC in my country, I bought this phone yesterday. great phone no lag, i dont care if this doesnt have NFC i can still share files via shareit or other apps, and i wont use this phone when drunk or else etc

 • Does it have NFC?

 • true dat, even my huawei nova is better than that power savvy asus zencrapfone

 • Ridiculous! How can I pay $600 for a SD 625 chipset phone? LoL!!!!!

 • Great device keep it up Cheers Asus !!

 • its price is 750 $ in Turkey now and I wonder that quality of camera.

 • 5000 mah up to 42 days stand by 4k power bank 4g ram amoled 12 mp selfie thanks asus

 • When will this be available in The PH?

 • When this phone will be launched in india? Anybody knows.Specs seems to be impressive.

 • true ;)

 • my dream phone

 • could be... but IMo there's no need for all that processing power. Nowadays even midrange chipsets are powerful enough for most tasks

 • Really worst brand and very poor service poor customer care. No ota don't buy brand mobile. Camera worst mother board work good for warranty period then having lot of issues and hug amount for repair don't go with any of ASUS don't buy

 • please review this model. The full detailed review, not the new, mangled style

 • I hate people who mocking this phone......I have searched this phone in YouTube for some time now.........It have a best display and great camera even though many people say that AMOLED display have limited time for it have a best display ever

 • This smartphone with Snap 821 could be a S7 competition "killer" :)

 • Dearest dears.A well made upper midrange smart-device for high hardware software quality seekers!!!Here 5000 mAh could have been used in AR too!!!Why not'!!!?Midrange class is getting very crowded with higher going midrange smart-devices!!!But you just you costumers are the true just justice decision makers!!Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar.

 • My dream phone in 2017.

 • 4 GB

 • Ur idea only works on benchmark score ... !!

 • Wrong...the 625 is less consuming and nice for battery than 820...so better choice

 • the configurations looks like a flagship smartphone, but snapdragon 820 could have been great in terms of performance compare to 625

 • It will come with Dual Sim ???

 • all the configuration of that phone are goog.I think dual back camera 'll be awesome.but one dissapointed of that phone is internal storage.it should be 64 gb.and the price is reasonable.....

 • When will this be available in philippines?? Hope not too long.. Ive been waiting fior this phone..

 • 2gb ram, 3gb ram missing into this here specifications...!

 • have respect for this Awesome company very thank you for your good work... but, once the wifi refuses to connect difficult to connect again... thank you in advance...

 • Better to Wait more release of Asus. zenfone 3 zoom release date is January 2017 but the OS still android 6.0 Marshmallow other Brand already Release 7.0 out in the box

 • Asus has been improved a lot on their phone recently, should be worth to wait for the review...

 • OLED = organic, and like everything organic the compounds degrade over time. well, actually all LEDs degrade, even backlight, but way slower. the biggest problem of OLED wear is that the rgb degrade at different pace. iirc green dies fastest. manufacturers work around this by slowly reduce the other pixels factor to prevent color shift, but you loose overall brightness...

 • do review this one

 • how this phone battery endurance??? pls do review GSMARENA!!!!, MANY THANKS

 • Thats too long.. I might get lenovo P2 instead.

 • 3-5yrs ? If i set the brigthness to auto and im a heavy user.. I used my phone straight 12hrs or more per day.. How long do u think it will last without any burn out?? Tia..

 • why would amoled degrade I dont understand. ips doesnt? like can screens not just hold up as long as one likes? like forever like nokia 3310?

 • 3-5y. depends on usage and brightness level. my k zoom amoled did not degrade noticeable

 • also when is this phone released in big stores?

 • isnt micro usb 2 so available in our houses, why do they keep changing it? if a phone lasts 1 full day we dont need fast charging and we have many mixro usb 2 cables already, isnt that better tto stick to mixro usb then?

 • how do you know its camera will be better? I think this could be same phone as p2 with different branding

 • I just did some research and this phone comes with a standard 5V 2A charger :/ ( for more info : Pretty sad tbh, considering the monstrous 5000mAh battery inside this thing

 • Will wait for this phone to be reviewed before i buy either Lenovo P2 or Zenfone 3 Zoom... Battery life should be slightly shorter than P2 but totally worth if you are looking for powerful camera on a monstrous battery packed-in an android smartphone

 • Can anyone tell me the life span of amoled screen?? They should have an ips version of this beast phone..

 • 5000 mah battery with 7.9 mm of thikness? Wow...perfect. But the bezel is still too much wider. I need information of battery life endurating. I hope more than 120h...

 • Asus is very good mobile

 • I'm waiting for this mobile phone it looks so good. I hope Philippines got this mobile phone this year. maybe it will release in june or july.

 • need water resistant for replace my go pro ...y ar

 • A wonderful all in one phone that I tend to buy....

 • When will this be available in philippines?? Im waiting for this.. Pls add the logo in front and ip68 feature..

 • Plus adding features like ip68..... That would be an all-in-one phone.. And im sure it will be the 2017 best selling phone...

 • yeah thats wonderful

 • It would be Better if this phone has the ASUS LOGO in front upper part.... Just like samsung.. I would love to see that..

 • zenfone ar has the best speaker and zen 3 zoom has the beat camera and battery life.where is the latest tech the ip68 water resistant phone. fast charging the fastest and safest.

 • May i know the exact price for this?

 • Is the price really at 125euro? please advice exact price for this item.

 • It is the most efficient chipset Qualcomm ever made. Better than Snapdragon 650-652. It is even more efficient than 820-821.

 • asus x550. 13mp camera. very good phone for the price. around 125euro.

 • Hi, i have done a lot of research and went for P2 only for its price point and UI. But very much satisfied with the Lenovo P2 as alsmost both the phone has the same specs other than the Camera. here are my reviews below for P2. Dear Arena Mates, Here is my detailed review of Lenovo P2 I have received this phone on Friday and continuously using this phone from then on. It came with the 80% of the battery charge, then i decided not to charge. as i kept on using it completely downloading all the required stuffs which includes my basic apps and then Games like Asphalt, NOVA 3. It was an awesome mobile. as the response is overall a very good so far. First instance it has lasted me for a day and half of the battery. then i charged full with my normal charger (not with the fast charger) it took approximately 2 + hours to full charge. then i am just started using the mobile. i have given the comparison below with comparing to One Plus 3. 1. Mobile seems to a bit heavier and bit fat 2. perfectly no heating issues at all when watching the videos or playing the games like NOVA3 or ASPHALT completely no heating. 3. RAM management was good actually i have (4GB verison) but felt few hitcups some time. 4. Almost all the apps where able to resume quickly without any glitches. 5. After almost 2 hours of Video, and atleast 7 hours of gaming now the battery is 35% on the Second full day. (Thats great actually) 6. primary cam Low light is superb when compared to One plus 3 7. rest all obviously OP3 wins. 8. fingerprint is really really awesome as i haven't faced any issues so far. 9. I can see the WIFI is able to support with AC capabalities 10. It supports 4K slow motion and fast motion as well. 11. Touch sensitivity is pretty Good. 12. Sorry to mention about the signal reception and WIFI reception at the last i should have mentioned it in first. lenovo has evolved a lot in making it. It stands unique when compared with OP3. 13. Works with great speed both in WIFI and Mobile data and reception is awesome. 14. Colored LED notification is really cool as in OP3. If you feel like having more clarification you can contact me at 9894103801. And negatives obviously. 1. It should have come with a better front Cam. 2. 2017 its already and Nougat should be out of the BOX still stays at oct batch 3. Build quality still should have been improved. Its just OK. 4. Sound is really loud but little bit Noisy at times. 5. FM reception is just up to the mark 6. Headphones are Good i mentioned here because headphones supplied with the BOX is not that Good. 7. It should have been Type-C instead of Micro USB.

 • Because you don't own an ASUS phone that's why. It's easy for you to say.

 • This phone seems great and the specs are quite impressive but there are a few things that Asus can improve on such as the design so they don't try making it look like an iPhone and they should upgrade there micro sd storage, ram, and more pixels they should also put more megapixels just like Sony and have enhanced speakers. Asus should also improve there snapdragon chips and they should also better features such as changing the ambient colour light and better battery life such as the oneplus three t or oneplus two.

 • from the test pics on unbox.ph it has 4 + 7mm native focal and 1.7 + 2.6 aperture

 • I like asus product actually so thats why I need to tell them that yhey need to compete and improve.

 • oh amoled tech again. we already know that it was good display but its degrading over time by years past by. zoom is great phone I see fast charging okey 5k mah battery with slim body and light weight. zenphones never put a tech with ip68 certified or water resistand on phone it was very useful thing an IR bluster and nfc? they are late tech. Asus?

 • Asus made this phone great . The camera and battery are incredible. The processor is so-so.

 • my all time favourit Brand .... thanks to asus... Zenfone 3 is awesome.... Go ahead , best wishes from #Bangladesh

 • Depending on ur needs : -low light : s7 or pixel -details = high res camera : xperia xz ,op3 and lg g5 (in 400-500$) or v20 -creativity : p9 or mate 9 (bokeh effet and b&w photography) Lumia 950 series have good all-rounders cams but r u willing to deal with their os?

 • Asus has improved a lot on its new series phone recently, hope it does the same on this model.

 • Hi, it seems like you know a lot about a phone, can you give me a suggetion? a good price and very good rear camera. Thanks in advance

 • Which is better, zenfone 3 zoom or huawei nova plus?

 • Adus are improved a lot last year and this year...look at zenfone 3....9/10 satisfied with z3....zenfone 3 have good camera, good battery life,no lag, speaker are loud and have earphone included......see review, most people are satisfied and some are very proud.....Asus are learning from the past

 • I saw some sample pics...and veeeeeeeeeeeeery dissapointed

 • In China, 128gb model is $533. Asus lost its mind. Why? Cpu is sd625. Why does it deserve? Source web site is in our country(Turkey)

 • 4gb ram 128gb space will cost 37k..as per report in magazine..hope 3gb varient comes nearby 20k..

 • Please Suggest me whether to Go for Lenovo P2 or Asus Zenfone 3 Zoom looking at the price point as well.

 • how much price of this phone? anyone know? 300-350$ ?

 • I had need as soon as but how is possible boughted in from Bangladesh when this can gotten 3 zoom

 • Is it available in Bangladesh yet?? What is the price?

 • good...ram was good,, nd battery superb...but camera...should be 20 mega pixl,,,secondaery priamry 13 meag pixl...

 • I do not really understand the logic of Asus in giving 10W charger with 5000 mAh battery in Zenfone 3 zoom where as Lenovo has been giving 24 W charger for 2 last 2 years with 5000 mAh battery phones. Second question is why they have given a 18 W charger in Zenfone AR with around 3000 mAh battery. I doubt the full charge in Zenfone 3 zoom takes many hours. As Asus always keeps their prices so higher, they should atleast learn to provide fast charger like Lenovo & One plus dash charge.

 • The main thing we are complaining about is the price. Oneplus 3T, IPhone 7, Galaxy S7, Xiaomi Note series, Huawei 6x, Huawei Honor 8, Are all cheaper, except the IPhone 7. If they price it $300 it will sell perfectly, How can anyone trust asus's camera claims, the zenfone zoom was such a hyped product...yet it couldn't even shoot 4k..and the image quality was terrible. its now selling for $199, which is a decent deal at the moment. But is getting DESTROYED by the Huawei honor 6x. and Moto X pure, Both $249 respectively. Asus has to price this at $300 or under.. otherwise it makes no sense to go for this over Samsung,Apple,Oneplus, etc.

 • Hey I agree with you 100%. They can't sell this over $300. Oneplus 3T, Galaxy S7, Xiaomi note series, Huawei 6x, ARE LEAGUES beyond this phone.

 • Please check your facts before commenting. The Snapdragon 626 is the newest version, not the 625.

 • s625 is the newest and it is so power efficient also very quick and responding and it is real cool after 20 min of heavy gaming on zen3 the phone was quit cool in campare to other phone u can watch the zenfone 3 review which is use the same chipset

 • Dearest friends. Thanks for reminding me with your multimedia contacts!Yes,IR,and NFC have been forgotten and also Fonepad model being discontinued is right!!One of the best 2013 multimedia tablets of those days even very trustworthy now, that just in India may have found!!!Please check its price!?Thanks again for your foresight!Omid12Omidvar,...

 • In this market, $399 max...

 • Do you guy have seen Zenfone with good camera?camera even the spec on ze gone 3 deluxe looks good but the result after review it can't even compete with honor 8 and Xiaomi mi5s plus but Asus still sold it with high price.asus should focus on camera software first than yeah focus on hardware.they should realize that

 • TOP !

 • This phone are great in all aspects and some people complaining about it's processer....if this phone using sd 820 price for this phone will be increase...if this phone price between 400usd-500usd still reasonable cuz it's have good build quality, big battery 5000mah uolls, grear camera with a lots of features and have dts sound and 24bit.....so i think people can't complaint if this phone price will be 499usd

 • Dearest requested friends.Writing facts on fact-writing criteria! This Asus smartphone could have been a Power-bank with 5000 mah if it had the reverse charging!!With SD 625 ,mostly complete WiFi and Bluetooth ,4 gigs of RAM,FUD,usual better cameras,3 unnecessary internal memories(64,128 could have been enough)using hybrid dual SIM with a dedicated memory slot not mentioned, Otg,android 6 marshmallow(no future upgrade has been mentioned yet!!!?), 3.8 inches true users screen,of course, with a logical price can be one of the best midrange smartdevice of 2017!It is evident that Asus has some unique qualities that others may not have !!!HTML 5 with Google support, the best keyboard, the best file manager, the best gallery, battery savings,...and using both android and Asus goodies!!!I hope it could have not discontinued the notepad updates and upgrades strategy of using Intel atoms with nowadays compatible norms!!Result to be presented to the best friends and the requested ones before GSMArena perfect review:A very better midrange smartdevice with superior qualities in the most crowded midrange class!!!I expect the good Asus not to forget updates and upgrades of its products to be put in advanced priorities! Thanks mentioned names!Justice Rights follows Omid12Omidvar fact-writing guidelines!Good Hope Only.

 • 810 was released at 2015. It is inappropriate to use that chip since it has overheating issues and it was 2 years ago. Meanwhile, the 625 was newer though, quite slower than 810, but no issues. I think it is much better if they put the 652 instead because it has better cpu (cortex A72 vs 8 A53) and GPU(506 vs. 510)

 • I think this phone has a great features bcoz it has a 5000mah battery and amazing camera .. Most of the phone doesn't have this kind of battery power... In my opinion battery and camera is more preferable than any other feature of a smart phone

 • Does it has NFC and IR blaster

 • Lol 625 is newer than 653 or 652. But I dont blame you. Qualcomm needs to name their chipsets better

 • SD 625 its better than SD 810 cause SD 810 its over heating + drain battery fast.

 • all great , specially cam & battery bad: processor 625 , too old , i hope use at least 810

 • Overall Feature is good, but not the non- removable battery

 • true that

 • 5k mah battery... that's what I'm talking about!!! Need more phones with a 5-6k mah battery option!

 • without NFC? not waterproof? -_- iPhone 7 plus design :)) but beautiful)

 • capacitive touch no light???

 • My next phone hope they keep the phone price reasonable say within $300

 • Buy OnePlus 3T if in your place its has Official SC. In Indonesia OnePlus its gone. So Zenfone 3 series its great deal here. (Ya and isnt Indonesia only, many countries dont getting OnePlus market target too.)

 • This is the first surprise in the phone market of 2017. Probably one of top ten phones ever made. Comparing price, specs and all around this phone looks nasty. Only the Iphone 7 design makes me vomiting. I hate apple. I hate companies that dont know what to ask for their products. And even for a garbage they want tons of money.

 • Under the sound spec, - 24-bit/192kHz audio - DTS sound enhancement Does it apply to loudspeaker ?

 • if less than $350, will buy this one

 • This phone can win me over HTC. Now it all depends how good the camera is. That is the most inportant thing for me.

 • All specs of this phone is so practical! Top camera + Awesome battery has never been done before!

 • No infrared port!!!

 • Antutu Score above 64500 !

 • no NFC! why?

 • im just looking for a phone that has high specs because im going to buy a oneplus 3t and i was looking for a phone that might be better than the oneplus 3t therefore i thought that this phone might be better and in a great affordable price range

 • ive saved up to buy the oneplus 3t because i believe it is one of the best killer flagship phone out know

 • Nice !!

 • Stunning! Asus basically made an Iphone 7 (dual camera + design) but add a 3.5mm phone jack and pump the battery to a whopping 5000mAh! This can be the most interesting phone of 2017. Qualcomm 625 + 5000mAh = stunning battery life that would even shame the Moto Z play. I want one!

 • Really digging the design of the phone, and no, not because it looks like an iPhone 7 Plus.

 • All Rounder Smartphone...! Really Incredible...! But, Ram & Rom... Variant (2gb+32gb), (3gb+64gb), (4gb+128gb)... Edit Your Specifications.

 • Because it's a 28nm chip with A72 cores, powerful but battery hungry. And heats up easily. 625 is 14nm with 8 A53, not anywhere as powerful, but enough for 90% of the job. And is not very battery hungry, and does not over heats.

 • I'm happy that they used Snapdragon 625 rather than 653 (14nm vs. 28nm), as long as you are not a serious gamer or need higher screen resolution than full HD (1920x1080), this CPU is the one to have right now. My brother have the Moto Z Play (uses 625) and it has REALLY good battery life! The ASUS Zenfone 3 Zoom seems to have good cameras as well which is a new combination with this CPU. I have no idea how ASUS has treated their Android GUI for the phone (most users like it cleaner/closer to stock Android) but just reading the hardware specifications, ASUS could have a winner here. But I can't find any information regarding NFC, I personally would not buy a phone without it.

 • The price tag will make all the possible difference between a huge hit and a total fail.

 • Why snap 625!!! They should at least put snap 653 So disaponting with this chip

 • I think it should have had Snapdragon 626 than 625.They are both new and battery efficient, but 626 is slighlty better. But yeah,625 is good on this phone. But since it has a 5k Mah battery,i think it can handle a 653 chipset easily for few days. With the 625 or 626 who knows how long...

 • Since this phone is supposed to be camera-centric, I assume they put the SD-625 so that the phone does not die quickly while taking photos/videos. Using camera continuously drains a lot of battery specially if you're recording in 4K. If you're looking for heavy gaming phone at a mid range price then I'd suggest Oneplus 3/3T, the 3T has the latest SD-821 that you are looking for. Or save up a bit and just buy a flagship.

 • Im okay with SD625 cause ZenUI its really optimized performance EVEN with full of bloatware (even so, you can unistall the most bloatware and disable) than others UI like MiUI. I dont need an BANG OF THE BUCK phone with lack SC. (Xiaomi Mi5 for example) Zenfone 3 Zoom its my need. (The truth the most user really dont need High SoC cause normal usually user dialy)

 • wow amazing dual camera ...3x optical zoom and 12x full zoom i like this

 • its camera specs are mad but its processor isn't the latest processor out at the moment because the latest out know is the snapdragon 821 and this smart device is 625 i'm very unimpressed because i was looking for a phone which high performance specs but on the bright side the build quality looks so top notch and its camera specs aren't that bad to be honest

 • This is one of the most awaited smartphone this year! hope it will release very soon! but expect a huge price for this. that's the sad part.
