i had a problem with the battery, it lasted less than a day, so i orderd a batery from e bay it was about 8 dolars icudig shiping, it came from taiwan i think, its a 3000mah batery and it lasts from 7 to 9 days depending on what you do so that would be a solutino to the batery problem

What type of access to the internet are you using. But I will suggest you use internet apn from your operator that is if there is GPRS access in your country of residence. I have as well and its working fine with internet and even WAP.

Hello everyone, I just bought my new 6815 pda and I have some points to discuss with you: 1- To enable voice command, you need Microsoft Voice Command, is that true or there is some hidden feature to enable voice command without MSVC ? 2- Can you tell me please how to configure the machine Wi-Fi to work with my encrypted wireless connection at home ? this is puzzling me for the past three days !! All these WAP WEP PSK standards are too much to handle for a computer layman like myself ! The machine overall performance is really good, though i managed to get it to freeze twice in the past three days. RW6815 can run -according to official statement of HP a 1gb memorycard. Personally i use a 2gb card, once i heard it's not compatible with a 4gb card, or if even it is, smartphone is pretty slow. 1gb = 9,5/10 2gb = 9,5/10 4gb = 6-8/10 !

NO GPS. NO radio. The radio chip is not mounted for a great economy. Battery life about one day - not more. Small problems with sound and echo during the call. My advice: HTC P3300 or newer model. You can find many tweaks and documentation for HTC includin servie manual, firmware s.o.

Hello from Greece :) I use this phone for almost2 months and really doesnt have any actual problem. There is a big variety of software you can use in it,but i tried to use an sd card of 4gb and unfortunatelly this card didnt work! So i use 1gb , i putted some good mp3s, and software about avi video + im+ for msn, yahoo messenger etc and the phone really works perfect :) there is no Bluetooth A2DP so if you are interest to take handset without cable, it might work but without stereo quality ;) price of it (here) about 480euro (windows 2005 english)

Skype and SJphone work almost flawlesly, there an issue of high pitch noise (like whistling) now and then when Skype is used, could it be speaker/mike feedback? Question, does anyone know whether the miniSD memory card is used towards RAM on this unit - seems like i there's free memory issue...

this mobile/pda can be used as a gps device in combination with an external device only. it is only my opinion that people who have difficulties using it (like those who need to reset it more times than usual) do not know how to use a windows-based mobile properly. wi-fi connection is good and usually easily adjusted (takes some experience in that). and yes, this is a mobile phone, not a commercial digital camera, so pictures are not supposed to come in excellent quality and neither is the camera designed to be faultless. generally, I think it is a good gizmo, although new devices already make it somehow obsolete. on the other hand, it comes with a great deal of software plus options to download some more with your free point, and this makes up for some of the lacking features. generally, with all the hardware fitted in this mobile/pda one only has to find good software to make the best use of it.

Although I think this is a good device, I caurion those in Europe to be wary of two items. First, is the language of WM5. Be sure that WM5 is in the language you want you can do this by checking the pin number for the code of your preferred language. Second, HP service can be spotty. For example, HP Hungary has had my device for repairs for 60 days. They are very poor at communicating but it seems they do not know where the machine is at this time or how long is will be lost before they replace it or refund my money. I recommend you visit the HP Support forum before purchasing.

My rw6815 is in the shop for a headphone jack repair and I never thought I'd miss it like I do. There are better phones and better pda's and I a guess there are better phone/pda combinations, but I am really happy with this gizmo. If you are considering one, read the reviews carefully. Overall the phone is small and easy to carry around. Texting is a non starter, too fiddly. The main criticism is the fact that the phone echos badly. The other caller will hang up out of frustration!!

I've bought it few weeks ago and I've been using it quite a lot. All in all, a great device. One weak spot is the battery, for extensive use you should recharge it daily. One word of caution: Do Not Use The Headphones ! The seems to be a hardware bug with headphones for Ipaq. Apparently the headphones pin connector tends to bend once you take them out, causing the faulty read-out, so the device doesn't switch back to speakers. The solution is simple. Re-connect the headphones and gently ease them out of the jack by moving them left and right while withdrawing. Press End call (red button) to check if the speakers work. Repeat the procedure if it doesn't work at first. I got it after a few tries.

When are they going to learn that on the headphone chord they need to put the clothspin thing between the controller dongle and the actual earpiece? These headphones will therefore have the same issues as the W800i headphones had. The dongle thingy will put them out of your ear.

Yes, you can do online banking on this pda. But it's not about the pda, its about the software and your bank's system. Https is not a problem, but most of the banks use java and flash in their internet banking sites. So you need to install a browser like NetFront 3.3 or similiar pda browsers to enter these sites.

Had this phone for a week now and must say it's the best windows mobile pda phone i've used it's very small, and works very well with decent battery life, could do with a qwerty keyboard although i am comfortable with what it offers on the keyboerd side.
