Yes you can install Java applications on this device , but not symbian *.sis files , it accepts only Java , and java games also .

How does one switch off the SIM card contacts to solve the problem of the phone book displaying haphazardly? I have used the Synching software to sync with outlook so i have the entries but i cannot use the keys to scroll to names by alphabets. Great phone for the price otherwise

I cannot send the vcard by using sms but bluetooth, I think it is a defect, then if we delete name(s)n phonebook, the system cannot sortout the name accurately. My sugesstion is Benq have to up date this phone's system freely. Thanks

I been using Siemens for more than 9 years. My first phone was Siemens. What I like about this phone is the durability and quality. I have my EF51 for almost 3years now and anything that you can think to ruined this phone was already experienced by my phone. I always drop my phone bcoz of clumsiness. The worst was when it slipped on my hand while im at the terrace of our house at the 2nd flr it fall on the street from more than 10ft height. I was so horrified but I found out it still intact and in good condition. Another is when I drop it on the water and actually it was soak in wet. So what i did is i just clean in it up and dried up the parts and then back to normal again. And now I have my new phone but its still Benq-siemens. It's CL71 and I still have my EF51.

i just got this phone yesterday..bought it cux its in my budget..its an aiite phone, so far i dont like it because you cannot access the phonebook without opening it and how you cant take the word tmobile out. Or at least able to adjust to where to put it..its right in the middle..cover any background that you might put in..:(

i have this phone for almost 6 months and so far its has been good I can play games if i have the jar and jad files in the same place but i cant change the themes or the messages tone (save the prexistent)[can someone help with this] And i can listen to music perfectly its like a mp3 player + phone not the other way

Dear Frisda, What do you mean by 'key'? As long as you have both .jar and .jad for java games, then you can play java (I kinda found that this phone can't support saving games feature)

this reply concerns a query by Luca. Pls note Luca that this phone does not support Video but only still camera. So there is no way it plays or reads of shoots videos. If you are looking for video phones, there are hundreds in the market. Otherwise, you should be satisifed with this phone's great looks, bluetooth, FM radio and other brilliant features. hope this answers your query.

after 2 month -stand by batery 4 days -9 hours of mp3 +10 min of talk, with the mp3 player minimized. (!!! its important to minimize mp3 player to save batery) - simple menu, but i don't like how the menu looks. -very interesting futures like : voice dialing(dial a number) posibility to record radio posibility to connect bloototh setero speaker a lot o f camera options(ex face morf, lots of effects) if the manual is read u will find a lot of futures. Menu voice commands. Annoing - cand record/play movies - the face ca-nt be changed About the headset- it suports stereo bluetooth. And with wire u can connect mini usb, it is compatible with other model of phones. About the look, it is a girly phone.

I can say that it's a good phone Good things - little and sweet looking and every one see it says wow - good MP3 WMA player - Stereo FM radio with recording MP3 ability - Good Screen - decent 1.3 megapixel camera - very good sound via headphones or loud speaker - network reception acceptable - fast GPRS and Bluetooth connection - very good calender notes - great privecy protection with private folders for notes mms and sms - can send and recieve all kinds of files even that is not supported - Mass storge cabablity - great vibrating alert - even my SD card is full it still fast with no hangs Dissapointed with - No video recording nor playing - No picture zooming (too stupoid) except after taking camera piture - No GPRS connection over bluetooth just over USB cable - it's software is stable but has some little bugs

It seems like a good mobile phone, though as a MP3 phone it doesn't have enough internal memory and there is no memory card included in the package which is a pitty. Also when Nokia, Sony ericsson, Motorola, samsung,... are talking about their 2 and 3 mega pixle camera in their mobile phones, I don't understand what is 1.3 Mpixle camera would say in competition. I think people in BenQ-Siemens should reconisder in some of the features they put in this phone, just look at sony-ericsson's walkman seies or Nokia N91 at the top of the mountain and see what this mobile phone has to offer

Yes you can set almost all except SMS tones. MP3 can set as ringtone, caller id ringtone and alarm. Call id function can be customised. Wallpaper can be set as gif and caller id as well. The picture output (1.3 mega pixel) is so so, but what do you expect from a cheap music function phone. :)

I got this phone and it is so cute and funky looking. The music implementation is good and too bad it does not support ID tag. It does not sort album, artiste and music genre. Anyway, it does support playlist and shuffle function. The stereo sound is good enough though from the speaker (is loud) and thru bundle stereo headphones.

This phone can be played without stereo ear piece. The sound produce from the speakers is mavelous and in stereo sound as well. The cute form factor with the innovative keypad is really a design of its own.
