BlackBerry 7100x - User Reviews

  • Just found on in a recycle bin, I LOVE IT! Better than the Iphone 6. More customisable. ;)

  • I Very Much Dislike The Design Of This Phone. I Find It Too Bulky And As Well As That I Feel It To Destroys The Whole Point Of A Blackberry, Which Is To Create Easy Use With Large Qwerty Keyboard Buttons.

  • no camera not much features no internet expect if u upgrade it no point of buying it really expect for work is the best thing

  • no camera.only video.

  • is it possable for this phone to get gps?

  • does it have a camera

  • I like BB, and i will buy it, i thing it's very good

  • just been given a 7400x how does the keyboard work as never had instructions found the way to use the wheel and press it but thats as far as i got any easy answers please im not good with this soprt of stuff and dont want to ruin it

  • how can i bluetooth a song from another phone which is not a blackberry to my blackberry 8700c?

  • someone tells me u need a code for bluetooth to work right it will pair but not exept data from another phone

  • Yea, it uses a Blackberry OS. It's designed by Blackberry. Hope this is helpful.

  • Can you stream videos from the net to the Blackberry, if not which uk based phone?

  • my BB 7100G died. a part wore out that caused an internal short circuit

  • In reply to AZ'S question 'how do you find internet?' You are on the internet, its the thing on your computer when you click the small e symbol. I hope this helps. Good luck

  • WLAN No.. u cannot surf & check email for FREE on wifi

  • im going to get one of these..i hope its any good. can anyone tell me if i can surf the web and email if there is a wifi connection? for free?

  • how do you find the internet??

  • how can i register my 7100x.and how can i use blue tooth because it is not working

  • I already have another phone to fulfill my media needs. I just need another phone to stay connected to my e-mail or maybe even read books on it. The rest I am not much interested in. So can anyone tell me if it is good for those things?

  • go to www.zedge.net if u want theme.....it's fit for alls mobile phones

  • Pain in the neck this phone is... bluetooth is limited to headset only so you cannot transfer media stuff in it (as if the paltry 32 mb of memory will do). i cannot make themes work even if i already copied it using desktop manager (v4.0 to v4.3.)games avail on the net is crap and i cannot use the push email thing because i already spend my hard earned cash to this crap handset to get a plan to get it going, so bottom line is, push email never really works for me... mine is all set for being sold in the bargain bin.

  • i have been struggling to download the software for this blackberry.as a result i cant transfer my contacts from the blackberry to the new PC.also i cant share my my contacts with my new Nokia E90 phone.PLEASE HELP

  • i didnot have any blackberry software so i cannot connect it with my computer

  • the browser is cool but no camera,a little bit of memory

  • Does anyone know any good websites where you can download themes and applications? please advise!!! much appreciated.

  • to soulman.to add new address, go to address book, click trackwheel, make sure cursor is at "find" field.click trackwheel again and then select "new address". BB bluetooth only operates a headphone. for security reasons, you can't receive and send file.

  • Hey tony, guess what, you don't know everything so stop dictating what this phone is and what it isn't. This phone has bluetooth which is a good feature if you use it to get internet from your computer to your phone and you can use it to send files and bluetooth devices such as headsets and headphones. If you can pick up other peoples bluetooth and they cant pick your's up you might need to make sure your bluetooth is on and set to visible so others can see you. Anyways good phone for people who want reliable "straight" and easy use. Bought one for my 9 year old son and he can use all the features and is loving it.

  • In response to the question regarding Bluetooth on Blackberry devices, it will allow you (on the newer blackberry os's) to send files but you will not be able to receive them, i think this is because of business related security, as most BB's are business use RIM would see hs's that can swap info via bluetooth as a potential security risk, and with the increasing threat of "Bluejacking", its just easier for blackberry's to not allow this function... I hope that helped answer your bluetooth question!

  • I'm curious, how does the Bluetooth operate? People cannot pick me up but I can Pick them up. I can't send or recieve items(eg.pictures). Also, how do you add names to your address book? i've tried, and can't. How do you access the numbers from your SIM card?

  • its a low grade phone features are crapy and its not worth the money. you better be a business man if you gettin this phone this aight no YOUNG BUSINESS MAN thing either this is for grown folks.

  • guys does it have any bugs in the bluetooth?

  • In regards to the person that said go buy a TOY cuz we need a camera, it is not to play. I have a cell hone thats has everything, but email and internet, but I also need a camera phone for work. Yes I think RIM, should build a camera phone plus all the options that already has. It will be the best phone for now.

  • why do people keep complaining about no camera, mp3 etc etc? I use the 7100x for EMAIL linked through my companies Exchange...which is exactly what the handset is deigned for. If you want a toy phone go buy one, leave the blackberry to the serious user!!

  • Cant get linked to blue tooth, picks other phones up but nobody can pick mine up ? any ideas also where do I find the browser looked everwhere for the dam thing so I can pickup e-mail

  • Sending mine back, hate the thing, have now got the samsung (casio calculator) P300, much better phone, and none of this rubbish that the blackberry has to offer. If you are thinking about getting this blackberry think again. Way too many faults to list, bluetooth technology or the lack of it, you can only pare to a headset and even then it consistently resets itself. Even typing a text or email is a feet in itself. The wheel if used alot works loose, and the software is so outdated, there are better versions available, but I have yet to find one and this is my third blackberry. As a result I would never consider one again.

  • This phone is excellent. The emailing facility has never let me down. The software is excellent and have never had trouble with it. A real business phone.

  • I would not have another blackbery phone if you gave it to me. It would not connect to the computer as claimed. I damaged it and could not retrieve my information back losimgh all my contacts. I also had trouble with reception and being heard.

  • i don't know wat the big deal is about with these fone, 1. there ugly 2. there expensive 3. other better looking fones can do eveything this can and more. i use a nokia 6230 and i can send email and check my email on my fone, when i move to 3g i might get a n70 or n80 or a some other n series fone dat can blow this fone out da water. Disappointed, i say it suks, don't buy unless you are a SERIOUS business person. seriouly...

  • this is probably a stupid question,i am sending blackberry for repair, how do i save my phonebook?

  • Can any one tellme which software used in BlackBerry... I ve to make an application for it.. but still could'nt find its current software ..

  • nikkama nathalla the design is bad.this is just ungripable very fat

  • Has anyone else had the issue that the Bluetooth function resets the 7100x. I have seen it on 2 Handsets. I have to disble bluetooth to use the BB. Good phone other then that.

  • Does it sync with Lotus Organizer calendar ?(I hate MS Outlook)

  • Got it today, nice phone, no bluetooth connection except for headset. A very backward phone, outdated, for sale as from tomorrow.

  • Hi.everybody.i work for airtel, india's largest cellular operator.. started using a bb recently. great phone. and great features. wondering how i was alive without this so far. handles html browsing very well. pure business phone and fantastic for execs who are on the move and needs to remain connected.

  • Ok, I'm really sorry to be a total idiot, but I just got my BB 7100x today and I can't work the thing! I'm new to this whole BB malarkey. Can anyone tell me how to get a full stop when I'm entering an email address for a contact in my address book? I know...I'm being really stupid. In the instructions it says to press the space bar twice, but this brings up a @. What's going on?! Help!! Thank you...

  • omg i love them there awsome and its my baby i carry it around everywhere even on the streets with paris and tara them

  • blackberry's are designed to be secure, thats why no bluetooth file transfer or ir.... adding a camera would only jeopardize its security. Plus what good converged device has a good camera??

  • manufacturers dont need to add 256k and cam as the handset is for making calls and email basically a 2g handset with email capability need any help with ur blacberry email me on [email protected] i work for o2 so may be able to help

  • also known as BlackBerry 7100g

  • i aint sure about the blackberrys small features i think thay must add a cam it's 2005 not 1985 good pda for companys but still behind the market in features 65k screen to emmmmm maybe more like 256k

  • re:Khalil- this phone should be able to work in t'dad. It's quad band so it should work.

  • you can easily download a theme that makes the icons instead of the list your menu. I'd really like to know why you can find a housing for practically every phone in the world except this 7100x. The black definitely looks better than cingular's silver.

  • I found Blackberry with camera and flash in England. There does not seem to be any state side yet. It might depend on demand if they bring it here. Yes, too there are many places that do not permit a camera phone to be taken in.

  • Will this phone work in Trinidad and Tobago?

  • Well, I would like one for business use and I need it to have a camera. I must take photos to document my jobs for liability reasons and having it in the phone keeps me from having to tote a camera and a phone.

  • I received a 7100x from O2 (UK) 2 months ago - and it works perfectly, I asked O2 to unlock it, so they did whitout any trouble or fees.... Now I use it on TDC (Denmark) - no trouble - so get a 7100x and be happy

  • Can someone please tell me if the 7100x is currently available in the uk or not. I was told today by o2 that it isnt and the 7100xm is coming in July 4th. Can someone please help me???????????????

  • It's not designed to have a camera or 3g features fool. Its and email-on-the-go device, not a childrens play tool.

  • i dont understand no 3 g services no cam

  • It handles jpegs perfect (i.e. in attachments). Also .doc, .xls and even .pdf. Perfect no-nonsense email phone. Have it for 3 days and don't want to miss it for the world!

  • It would have been wonderful to see these devices with 3G within them as a way forward as it is mainly advertised as a business tool. Many coporates will find the 3G facility as a major convinience.

  • looking for a blackberry with camera. Mostly use as phone, pda but would like a camera function. Is this available? If not, what advise for a phone/pda/camera do you have?

  • what OS used by BalckBerry mobile device, microsoft, symbian, linux?

  • I work for Vodafone and we have the 7100v. The handset itself cannot be unlocked for use on other Networks. From the info we have, the other network variants cannot be unlocked either.

  • Anyone know how i can get the Blackberry 7100x unlocked so i can use it abroad. It is currently locked to O2. Thanks

  • Some of these posts are from people who have never used a blackberry much less a 7100x. I have both the 7100x and the 7100v (as showned in this picture: i wouldnt trade it for anything. Yet it handles pictures, and now does MP3 ringtones... (might as well plug my site www.blackberrytunes.com)... Anyway.. the keyboard is easy to get use to once you learn the sure type... yes it may take you a day.. but after that you can type fine. As a side note.. this whole review was done from my blackberry. ;)

  • im a store manager for a telecommunications store and have sold 2 black berry phones over the last week because it has just been released. from the feed back i have gotten from my customers ; it has worked fantasticlly for them, as a few of the other boys had mentioned, it is designed for business purposses, not really personal as u can use it for personal use too.

  • Cingular is now selling the 7100g and T-Mobile is carrying the 7100t.

  • To my knowledge the 7100 x is not available for sale in the U.S. only the 7100t.. from T-mobile

  • Getting used to this keyboard is even worse than getting used to t9! On the same day I tried this I tried the SK65 from Siemens - no comparison the SK65 is the one I chose. Give me a real keyboard anyday!

  • Nice looking phone. Is it for sale in the USA? Or by mail order to the USA?

  • Its a strange device , with a fidly keyboard and not great battery life, screen is very bright and the listing of the applications rather than the icons is not a great choice. Give me back my old Blackberry !

  • These devices are generally used by companies, and is attached to their LAN and internal email servers. It is intended as a business tool and is primarily an email terminal, therefore no camera, no radio, no mp3 player, none of the stuff that we all like to fool about with but ultimately do not need. This keeps the size, weight, cost and power drain as low as possible.

  • looking very nice please inform me when it comes inthe market

  • The reson for no camera is..... this handset is used by business customers, who probably dont have the time to be taking pictures, adding a camera will increase the cost of the handset and also reduce memory size...simple, straight forward, no nonsense handset.

  • No camere???it's PDA with phone and it has no camera?I preffer the o.s. Symbian phones...the're ten times better

  • I prefer blueberry than blackberry.

  • This BB handset was designed specifically for the o2 network (running in Ireland Germany and UK)and is exclusive to them, but you can probably buy this at full price from anywhre that sells them. The handset it self will be 99.99 on any voice tariff but if you add a BB data bundle will be free of charge!! could have been better with a camera, but most business users dotn need a camera in their mobile phone as they dont have the time to use it to take picutes, Similar to both the 7100t and the 7100v, but giving a lsight better spectrum for the international user, being Quadband. It has been launched in the UK, uknown if in Ireland and germany.

  • Can this blackberry handle jpegs?

  • What is the price of the phone?Where can I get the phone?

  • airtel should have launched this in india

  • good PDA with phone.
