I agree! Biggest piece of crap phone I ever bought! Charging port and components on board went to shit less than 6 months after I got it and is not repairable! Under warranty but when you call Blu to find out how to get warranty coverage and send it in they give you the run around and you don't get answers! Too much hassle!

No, he's right dude. The phone is the biggest piece of junk available right now. I have not even had mine for a month and so far its deleted over half my contacts, it restarts itself constantly, its got more lag than anything I've ever seen, the touchscreen has to be pressed repeatedly for it to sense the touch, it all of a sudden decided to stop sending text messages a few days ago and hasn't been able to send one since then, and the company's customer service is a joke to say the least. All they did was send me instructions on how to factory reset it. Who doesn't know how to factory reset a phone?! Besides, the reset did absolutely nothing to help it either. And remember, I have only just started my 3rd week of having the piece of junk. I'll never buy another Blu product for as long as I live.

for the blu life 8 L280, I found out that u can get the sub board on aliexpress, just search for nibiru h1 sub board, it is the same phone different name... I ordered a sub board and it looked slightly different (the shape and position of the connectors is the same but the capacitors are arranged differently) but it works flawlessly, u shud try it out..

Hey "phonetech"! i did not see the other related comments but, i assume u need to know the Store in H.w.t. that u can get this cell, (incidentally i have one) That Store would be; TOP TREE MOBILE, its in Premiere Plaza next door to Scotiabank "Premiere branch". Its actually around to the back of the plaza, u can't miss it. 'Big Sign'. I got mine at a Store called "ACTION SPORTS" inside the Pavilion Plaza; they always have a lot of clothing right outside the doorway. Hope this helps if am not too late my info. I bought my phone in November 2014 and it stopped charging completely in February 2015. I took great care of my phone it doesn't have 1 scratch on it or anything like that. It's probably a manufacturing problem because I took it back to the dealer as it was on warranty and I am collecting a brand new phone tomorrow.

I have purchase a blu life 8 and its amazing. I have been using this device for more than 4 months and i haven't have a problem with it so far maybe the Bluetooth sometimes but from that this is a great device battery life is great and for a 294 pixel density it have a clean and smooth touch to the icons and user interface. As it comes to audio my device plays very clean and project audio smoothly. As for the microphone i have sometimes where persons on the other end of the call isn't hearing me so clearly. But out of a rating of 10 i would have this blu device a 8. My experience with this device is great even now that i have the 4.4.2 to give is a finishing touch. Sorry blu didn't develop this device to use 5.0 lollipop. But as mention this is a good buy. :-)

To flash back to jellybean or you messed up you phone while rooting it . you may try spflash tool . Google spflash tool blue life 8 . your gonna need the scatter file which can be found on Google+. Be prepared you will lose your imei so back it up with mtk mobile uncle tools or mtk droids tool .

I have an orange one about 3 weeks now, and in comparison with my old s3 it's quite good. Unfortunately there's no LED, so that makes me have to physically check the phone each time I'm away from it. There are very few gesture features, but considering the price and the fact that the phone is dual sim, these can be overlooked. I noticed today, however that whilst on the phone my face kept touching the keypad to enter an unlock code. I have been recalibrating the proximity sensor but it looks like the phone doesn't lock the screen when the phone is at your ear? Can anyone else confirm / deny / assist?

What happens if you have the phone on charger while updating? I updated to kit kat and my phone text messaging is inconsistent, and my cameras quality is half of what it was. got this phone a little over a week ago. and the blue tooth works fine and it has many emojis. the camera is a little slow and the battery is lasting me about a day and a half with moderate use. the case it comes with is a snug fit except for the top for me. the back cover is really thin so you can see the battery through it. the phone does heat up but only the top part since that's where all the components are at. i still don't know how to screenshot on this phone yet if someone knows please help. also the earbuds i tried to changed the buds to the smaller ones cause i have small ears and it took forever. i did run antutu benchmark a couple of time first couple of times 21-25k i did get 27k a few times after.

I Got the phone and is great but the vivo iv is the other blue flagship to consider but the life 8 is great the keyboard lacks emojis so download a custom keyboard otherwise it unique not many phones surpass it the update was smooth it feels great in the hand. Lastly the battery charging is slow but lasts great

Both the L280a and the L280i should work in the Caribbean...they're unlocked for world use...just check the bands with your carriers' bands...you'll know which version is more suitable for you...

u sound a little inexperienced with android phones. Every phone comes with a single imei, it differentiates between every single fone that was made( so it could not have 2 imei.

Bought this from Amazon.com's pre-sale and my wife's pinky color arrived early just now. Mine is white color and gotta wait for another week. Test drive done with all migration of contacts, messages, and contacts done without much issue other than time. Was kind of concerned when I noticed that despite the box being factory-sealed with stickers, the phone inside appeared to be man-handled already with screen protector already installed, and charger plastic packaging tampered. Still the phone functions like it should: fast and responsive to touch screen selection. The phone comes with 2 SIMM card slots, one being the standard on Slot #2 and Slot #1 is for the microSIMM version. Phone is with TWO IMEI numbers and so this one phone should function with two different phone numbers. The package comes with an extra instruction sheet on how to enable the two SIMM cards in settings menu. The reception of my T-Mobile signal was as per normal, but the WiFi reception was exceptionally better than the old phone it replaced. Once WiFi is connected, the phone went into self-upgrade of the OS. I suppose it should be the newer Android Kit-Kat. Leaving it to do its own thing and self-reboot, one abnormally was observed which I though was a disaster: The 8GB microSD card that I has installed as the external storage, became detected as "accidentally removed." Opening the phone case once again to check whether the microSD card was dislodged "accidentally" was not convenient. U will have to peel off the case that comes with the package, use your finger nails to gingerly edge the back cover open by working from the corners of the phone and then all around it. Inserting and re-inserting the microSD card did not resolve the problem. The last resort before calling for technical asistance was to completely reformat the microSD card on my notebook with an SD adapter using FAT32 formatting. And when the microSD was formatted blank without any data or sub directory, it worked flawlessly on the phone. It appeared that once the OS is upgraded on this phone, it would need to have to "setup" a virgin microSD card from zero in order that the phone can recognize it as an external SD storage device. The default brightness of the display was exceedingly glaring. Had to tone it done by setting it on Auto brightness mode under the Settings-Display menu. Phone comes with a 2000mA Lithium battery which was a bit disappointing. I had expected more. Battery life could be debatable. We shall see after using this for a while. So far a very nice slick phone to have if you don't mind a couple of potential hiccups. Pending its durability, I would highly recommend this phone as it comes with almost all tech and speed u will ever need (except for a low res 2MP front camera - not that great for selfies). Comparing them with the Samsung 4 or even 5, this phone is great bank for the buck if it should last for a long time.

Are you certain that you're putting the sim in the right way? There is a little symbol around near the sim slot that shows the orientation that's needed by the sim for it to work...I don't have any issues with any of the sims...they both work...check the orientation of the sim...you'll know if it's in wrong if it's more difficult than normal to remove or install it...another possibility: probably your sim card terminals were damaged and you need a new sim...just consider it if the problem is not the way you've installed the sim...all the best...

Hey it's me: Crusher- I didn't register at first so I could not get back my user name...anyway, Rscott is correct: I made a mistake about the auto-focus(confused it with taking pictures just by touching the screen- I think that's just a software thing though) nonetheless, there is autofocus and the battery is removable as Rscott noted again...thanks for the correction Rscott(apologize for the mix-up) The highest antutu score I got was 28,505 so far...I was thrilled...amazing phone...I see alot of potential from blu...this is not the best they could have done with the device; but for the price point, it's amazing...I'll be glad to answer any other questions as best I could...so far, no regrets in getting it...

I have the yellow L280a version and it is very pretty. So far it handles all the games I've tried including asphalt 8, modern combat 3, asphalt 7, temple run, among others...the cameras are good but could do with some more options...also, autofocus would have been nice...there are no LED notification lights and so far the update to 4.4 hasn't been released. The highest score I got on antutu was 25,601 so far...battery life is good like any other phone and will allow full day's use with moderation.

A lot of specs are different, 1080p screen, 2GB RAM, and different front and back camera. Maybe Blu made a deal with the manufacturer to have different parts installed so it doesn't compete with the Vivo IV.
