you can format it without any loss of the default setting and application pre-installed on this PDA. so format it as much as you want. go to settings - utilities - default settings.

Hello For you who is asking about the format. you can restore the defult setting by going to start-programs-Utilities- defult setting then put the code and reset the phone agaian but you might loss all the information in your phone. be carefull. Danny

I just bought my Eten 600+. I accidentally bump it and the lcd got broken. I tried to have it replaced but sad to say no lcd replacement was available. Even the dealer cannot offer me one. What a waste of money. Next time try to make the accessories available before selling your products to the public. We don't want to waste money on something not worth it.

I've had my M600+ for a year. and it's superb Initially, the low volume level on calls was a problem but I downloaded a volume patch from (There's 4 volume patches, the ril_12 patch gives slight feedback but can be rectified by turning the earpiece volume down and that's perfect for me) and also downloaded the latest 230_100 ROM from the eten westite. The screen needs re-alignment from time to time, but other than that, I've had no probs with every program that I've thrown at it (incl. TCPMP & TomTom). I pair mine with Jabra BT620S Bluetooth Stereo Headset to play movies & music, it works like a dream. Can't wait to get the X800!

i purchased this phone four months ago so that i could use epocrates on it. it was working fine until a month ago when all of a sudden -numerous vertical white lines extending from the top of the screen all the way down to the bottom of the screen - popped up on the left side of the screen. at first there were only one or two, but now there are so many that the left border of the screen (0.5cm edge of the screen) is completely "whited out" and i cant read names or any other info there. have had to reset the phone due to freezing problems. can anyone help?

I have version 216 OS which greatly extended my battery life. Phone has worjed great after for about 1 year. BUT it just started with the "Start" menu popping down and blocking what I am doing. It happens numourous times and then clears for awhile. Anyone have solution for this ?

Do not buy this product and get stuck. I have spent more time and energy fixing the volume and other issues, patch after patch, hardly any support from the manufacturer, now it does not accept GSM connection - do not know what to do. Same issue as the first comment in this post SIM not recognized.

My eten m600+ was working fine for 3 months, suddenly it stopped reading my simcard. Flashed the rom, same problem. Sim card works fine on the devices. It tries openning GSM, but fails. Please help.

Unfortunately the main problem on this ppc ic just it's voic,either earphone speaker while you are talking with or it's microphone.Almost all the users had the same opinion.but the rest are good.

i have for just three days $ i see some negative points on that.first of all the strength of the loudspeaker is very very low so you will probebly miss most of your incomig calls.second the reception strength is low too and the voice through the earphone is low as well...the plastic quality is not much that high that can catch your eyes.

i just got me a 4gb samsund sd card for my eten m600+. but when i put it in it only shows me that i have 2gb of memory in it. whats going on. i flash format it regularly on my pc. not quick format. but still shows me that i have only 2gb. whats going on? can someone help me? is this phone compatible with 4gb sd card or only a 2gb sd card? please help.

Hi, The battery goes down immediately and on the other end the call receiver cannot hear properly & complains of echo. I got this overseas when I was away from home. I really don't know how to tackle this issue. Thanks in Advance, SG

Call recording tip for any Pocket PC communicator: When in a normal call, start a new note (start menu -> notes) (programs -> notes), hit the record icon, then continue chatting away. The call will be recorded as a note. Simple, no extra software needed.

i had a problem with the screen alignment beeing off a little. then i told my self it cant be is bad. so i messed around with it a couple of times and figured it out how to keep it aligned perfect. go to the Align Screen. to get to it click on Start Menu, click on Settings, click on System on the bottom of screen, then click on Screen, then Click on Align Screen. when you get there. to Align it perfectly place your eten m600 flat on a table (do not hold in hand) and look straight down on the PLUS marks and press all the PLUS marks until its finished. note if you press the Marks in a slight angle it will be off. try it a couple of times untill perfect. it worked perfectly for me. hope it worked out for you guys. let me know if it help you guys. thank kicker

hi i was wondering if anyone is having problems with the volume being soft when talking on the phone. i tried find a way to make it sound louder. and i think i did find a way to make it work with out the Patch. try turning on Scenarios and putting it on the Meeting Mode. instead of the General Mode. it seems to make the calls louder when talking on the phone. to turn on your Scenarios or to get to it. Click on Start menu, click on Programs, then click on Phone, click On Scenarios, Check Activate Scenarios, then check on Meeting Mode, then OK. write back and tell me if this help any of you guys with the sound beeing louder. hope it worked for you guys because it worked for me. thanks kicker

Well i've had my m600+ for about 3 weeks now and so far i have just one problem with it, the wifi is a little bit faulty it keeps on dropping signal and even when i'm standing near the router it still doesn't show! i'm i the only one with this problem? If so pls someone tell me what to do!

Hi guys, for all those planning to buy the eten m600 pls think twice. I had bought a eten which had some nasty problems like the voice not being clear on the other side specially with a lot of disturbance. I installed all those softwares and it was ok, within a month now its gone back to the old lousy sound, the stylus to sticks out and has fallen by itself,as it needs to be fitted from below..I would not encourage anybody buying this phone...again

I've had the Eten M600+ for over a week now, and have just discovered the basic phone functions are pretty lousy! You know, the ringtone volume is not high enough and the sound quality during conversation is quite low and abysmal...does anyone know how to address this problem? Can it be fixed? Or do we just put up with it, and wait for the next model from Eten?

A nice PDA looks very attractive, LCD is very bright and clear even can see in the bright sunlight, good for on field applications., but very poor quality of audio for gsm and player, of-course nice to have Voice Command, but does not work well, (better option is Microsoft Voice Command 1.5), lack of JAVA, 3G�.. supports. Conclusion is if you are looking for a Quad band, WiFi, Bluetooth, faster processor and can accept poor audio quality and no mini USB connection you will love this PDA

Works great, except I can barely hear other callers whether from the earpiece, the headset or the bluetooth. Any one else have this issue, and have they resolved it.

I got this to replace my aging Treo 650 and move back to PocketPC. I sold my iPAQ 6515, because I couldn't quite get the hang of using it one handed. The M600+ Voice Commander lets me use this phone no-handed and really well! I could kill my desire to wait for the GSM Treo to surface.

I purchased the M600+ thinking it would be my answer to all my PPC needs. It wasn't. It continually dropped GPRS data connection. I had to reset the GSM several times a day inorder to receive my Exchange Server Direct Push Email (defeated the purpose of Direct Push) and connect to the Internet. Bluetooth echoed, did not pair with my 2005 BMW. I found it to be very disappointing. I now have a I-mate Jamin. My Jamin is fantastic!!! I rate Eten a 5.

Looks OK. But I would have expected it to have 3G and Edge. HTC are releasing the TyTN which smashes all PDA Mobiles currently available as it has 3G and EDGE.

I've had the M600+ for 2 days now, and I am very happy with it. I have not had any complaints about any echoes from any of my callers. thw wi-fi utility does not seem to work well with WPA wi-fi - and I have had a heck of time trying to make it work with WPA wi-fi - it's ok with WEP encryption, but who wants to use hacker prone method? I usually turn wi-fi off only when needed, and keep Bluetooth on all day, so far I can go 12hrs wih an avg.amount of phone calls a day. I really needed thsi phone ASAP since I travel to South America, requiring a quad band phone with skype features - so, far I really like it and give it an 8 all around..I am a MAC addict, so MSFT is not my thing, but I am cool with it on my phone.

I read somewhere that if you reduce the mic volume you should be red off the echo. I didnt test it because i dont have it yet

If it's new and already old, name some better products. I have yet to see any other phones out with even close to similar specs. All have lesser cameras, or older bluetooth, EDGE would be nice but there still isn't a wide selection. WiFi is nice and it is certified with Skype so Viop is available. Only think is the new TV features on some of the smartphones but they don't pack a full PC in their either. More than happy to hear about a better phone before I drop $600

Perfect Phone the softwares included is out of imagination it includes everything you need, even backup software, and having a plastic case is an advantage because metal cases like Atom scrach much more easy, and even the performance is much more better than Atom, and also the price.

I saw this device at Computex in Taiwan and tested it at the show. It is quite good with great performance compared to other PDAS. This one quicker and had a better screen compared to all the oethers. The Plastic cover is better for reception on the GSM compared to metal casses.

JP.....In my opinion the Atom is better by far. I've seen Eten 600 and it cannot be compared to Atom. Eten is made of plastic and Atom out of metal, plus O2 have so many features in Atom that are great. If you do not need 850 network Atom should give you everything you would need, great music Stereo with EQ, PDA, Radio, Media center, 2 MP Camera and more.

Im the first!!!!! this looks the same as the M600 but dont be fooled as this M600+ holds a better camera which is 2MP and more memory, just what we need, all thats missing now is to make it 3G and of cos you could cram in it a 5MP camera then it would be worth printing the little buties out
