Google Pixel XL - User Reviews

 • Yes it has volte support for jio ....

 • What was the price you bought for

 • Brother does it supports voltie features over jio sim

 • Still using mine too.. as a Nexus 6P replacement. I always buy phone's a generation behind & lucked out with the Pixel XL getting Android 10 . After updating to 10, I ran a full wipe & reset from recovery mode & this thing runs like it did when I opened the box. With the 3 years of updates & patches, Google is the only way I'll spend my hard earned dough on a slab of glass I remove from my pocket 90 times per day.

 • Recently bought a used Pixel XL. I am really enjoying it. Updated to Android 10. It is buttersmooth. Camera is better than expectations. Speakers quality is super. Display is extraordinary. Thanks Google.

 • The google pixel xl can be updated to android 10.

 • yes u r right its 155mm tall...2K display...534ppi even note 10 samsung used 401ppi Fhd+ thats why battery of it. its not enought but for 150$ u can go for it + powerbank inside it

 • I'm very satisfied to use the google pixel xl

 • This phone is awesome..

 • I get from Malaysia online shopping Lazada

 • Got my android 10 tonight to my pixel XL. Oh Google it's just awesome. Thanks for your support

 • Where can you get that for 150???

 • Hi. From 100 to 30 about 3 hours 1 min of SOT WiFi + data I just bought a "power delivery power bank" to top up battery when i was outside. Pls use some high quality power bank which has type c to type c or else it will hurt the battery more. Already 3 weeks of usage. The battery still the same as what i got from the first day haha

 • hi, i used 2 of the phones but the only problem i found is battery issue. It's not good. Can you share me your experience regarding that.

 • Hi guys. I just bought pixel XL 128gb version for under 150$. Ok here's what my experience about the phone Screen Still good 1440p resolution amoled bright and sharp nothing bad happen yet Battery Ok this is no good. Only last about 3.30 hrs screen on time with 1 day of usage. This i will change the battery if i was you but since im still under warranty so I'll wait first and stick with power bank. Camera Still pixel XL camera. 2016 best camera don't compare with pixel 2 and above pls. The camera is so good but it still has camera flare happen when you use the camera. How to prevent it, just use your hand and put on top of your phone serve as an umbrella to block the direct light that cause camera flare. Speaker Work fine and quite loud for single speaker clear voice, i don't know why youtuber said speaker are the worst. Maybe after software update. Cons Camera flare Battery life Fingerprint sensor: sometime it bugged and can't register or scan if this happen to you just register only 1 finger max this help me

 • This phone very good..

 • It's a big worth for device now under 150$ for secondhand. But, I recommend you to wait until Pixel 4 release and instead buy the Pixel 2 XL. Anyways, the support for Google Photos is going to expire in less than half year.

 • Hello, I'm from the US. I've purchased multiple original Pixel devices for friends and family. I think this phone is great to use in 2019. You can pickup this phone on ebay used for around $100 for the 128GB. For those who purchase used phones, do yourself a favor and purchase a new battery and take it to a local repair shop for them to replace. Ensure that the battery you purchase is a newly manufactured battery (the manufactured date is on the battery). Slap on a case and you're good to go! This phone will get Android Q as it's last software update. Lastly, the camera on here DOES support portrait mode, but you have to sideload it. I recommend Googling Arnova's Advanced to bring up a Google Camera Port developer page. Arnova is a developer who tweaks the Google camera software to unlock certain features. Download the latest version of the app (look for the one with the most current date). This camera app will have portrait mode and other software enhancements that the developers have been able unlock on the Pixel. Ultimately, you can get a really good phone for a cheap price and enhance it with minor modifications. For people in developing/emerging market countries, this is a much better buy than getting an LG/BLU/Samsung phone. It's much more affordable and you'll get good value for what you're buying.

 • I bought this phone brand new 1 year ago, is a major go.

 • Worth this phone in 2019 if second hand device?thing to worry about is shadow screen.

 • Thank you for your review, been planning to get a Google Pixel XL for a long time but wanna research first before purchasing one.

 • I already have both pixel and pixel xl or you can say 2 pixel in both colors white and black and xl in black as well both pixel and xl are damn awesome phones i have ever used in my 21 years of line honestly its my 76th phone currently and i have 3 phones right now and i have used all phone till now its i use pixel coz its handy and feels soild in hand while xl is for just movies and mail shits but the only thing that makes this phone awesome is camera you can say its the best camera i have ever used in a phone i used to be iphone user as well last iphone i had was iphone 7 plus but i can say strongly its camera is far better then iphone 7 plus as well and i will say just grab it and you will never regret that you made a bad decision pixel or xl its your own choice xl is quite big to use in public for me more than a brick :)

 • this or motorola z force?

 • Google Pixel XL. It has an AMOLED display, a better camera, NFC, it is already with Android 10. No doubt that Pixel XL is the best option.

 • Yep

 • single nano card ?

 • same. wondering which phone to get as both are similarly price. In terms of performance, camera (night) and hardware, software, which is the better phone?

 • Yes, it has all the same photo software as Pixel 2 and maybe later versions. I have the Pixel XL and it has been great. Latest updates to my phone give "night sight". It also has everything you would expect on a high end smartphone such as panorama and photo sphere. The camera is great and my GF bought an $800 camera and is annoyed that my photos are usually better.

 • Does this phone have a portrait mode in the camera function like pixel xl2 ?

 • When will google announce if the pixel xl is receiving the final version of android Q?

 • is these screen resolution "same" as 1920 x 1080p? i want for to post on instagram story for my online shop, i need like 1080p 16:9 screen, pls confirm if this XL was same, or more tall? i hope 1440p can be more clear display and can't be cropped on instagram story

 • Android Q beta was released for Pixel 1 XL, so it looks like yes.

 • Yes it has . Can't beat this night shot quality It should be hold for a sec to capture night shot even in a low light picture quality is awesome

 • The Google Pixel is awesome .every performance is best. Best: Google Camera night shot is excellent beats iPhone 7 Screen is AMOLED display gives best result Look and feel is good Fast charger with in 1 hour Fast fingerprint recognition Neg: Battery Backup is average as the performance is high One day normal usage While taking video auto focus is not good Always get blurred video .sometimes blurred picture Fast movement vidoe is not good .

 • I have been using Google Pixel XL for more than 2 years. I do not want to change it; it is really quick and camera is superb. The only problem I have is that the display faded out in same spots where same things are shown all the time. If I swich on completely blank screen I can see where all the icons were and the keyboard letters. That's a problem of all OLEDs.

 • Google pixel Xl 1 or redmi note 7 ???

 • Does Google pixel XL has night sight feature ?

 • yes

 • 32/128 its right there in storage

 • Hi guys will OG pixel XL receive Android Q??

 • 32gb or 128gb depending which you buy

 • How much is the storage

 • 100% XL. The 5 incher is way too small with the on screen buttons.

 • Need recommendation between OG pixel (170$) or OG pixel XL (195$). Thnx in advance

 • Pixel XL all the way. iPhone is shit

 • Best phone I've ever used, even in 2018. The only problem with it is the screen burn in.

 • pixel anyday

 • Pixel xl

 • XL ofc

 • Which is better for 2019, Google Pixel XL or IPhone 6s?

 • Whyyyyy iPhone 7Plus still run well? its late 2018!!! Eventhough iPhone slow down their devices! But the performance still buttery smooth even after update! Im done with android gonna move to ios ecosystem! Eventhough android could do custom rom but with that old processor Snapdragon 821 overheat to much not worth to use right now! I just buy pixel for better camera only!

 • Same happened to me 3 days back. First it hanged, then screen went black. After these pixel xl didn't turn on and charge... What a rubbish product google??? Very upset

 • Hi, anybody having issue to update or download from playstore ? Whenever i want to download or update an app the download speed is crazily slow AF and sometimes failed to download. Please help.

 • No not at all

 • In my opinion.. the reason why Pixel and Pixel XL malfuncfions is because you're not using the standard usb C charger that came with the phone. Have you watch the video about Power Delivery Charger? It explains that USB C Power Delivery is a new thing that Google developed for the future charging method. Even any third party is producing USB type C, it may not eligible for the Pixel standards. I believe it affects to Pixel 2 and Pixel 3 also. So before you buy USB type C for your backup charger, better you cancel your thought. Keep using the standard charger, and for Pixel XL users, better not upgrade to Android Pie for a while. Too risky and many bugs I think.

 • this smartphone have no problem in andriod pie update after updating 9.0 its work more smooth and some new camera graphic....galaxy s7 edge is just suck i bought s7 edge pin pack but after 1 month screen pixel dead and dotts appera on screen...pixel is still better

 • I am the owner of a Google Pixel XL, first series. In July of this year, the phone automatically stopped connecting to WIFI and Bluetooth. After much research, it was determined this is a hardware problem. Of course the phone is well outside the warranty. There are some options to fix the problem, typically at a cost of $250, which I am not prepared to pay for a phone that is 2 years old. This was a major disappointment. Google help didn't help and didn't acknowledge that this has become a known issue. Incidentally, the phone is currently on Android 9 as the phone is enrolled on the Beta program and received 9 a day or two after its release.

 • yes when i update the headphone for calling is not working but sound and music is ok but when you call not working sombody can hear you.

 • Is there any problem after being upgraded to android 9?

 • pixel xl is 100% better than galaxy s7 edge...best camera best update every thing best..samsung suck i am using pixel xl in 2018 no problem while using still best camera and i am also play phub

 • Hi I don't know about nokia 7 but pixel xl only guaranteed to receive updates until oct 2018...so it reach its end of life. I am buying pixel xl because my budget is very low as a student and I drop phones a lot. However, if I had more money I would get something newer, because of the active updating and support the phone would receive. Also Pixel XL known for amoled display issues, like burn in...

 • Google pixel is a great phone... None of the company can beat this phone, iPhone camera also can't beat the Google's camera... Go for google it's a best processor with high performance Frndz....

 • Should I buy new Nokia 7 plus or used pixel xl 128gb. Can someone suggest

 • Are we doing back to the future now?

 • DEFINITE BUYER’S REMORSE! I purchased a Google Pixel XL Oct. 2018 and I am on my 4th phone! Long story – short: My phones have had hardware issues that created cases to have the phones replaced. I have looked up these issues and they seem to be common with this phone: 1) The microphone quits working and people can’t hear you talking and 2) The phone freezes up and dies. The WORST problem is that I chronically can’t receive or send most of my texts messages as well as calls with all of the phones that i have had! I have to continually restart my phone no matter where I am. There is NO Google help and I have spent a stupid amount of money for a phone that doesn’t work! The longer story: My other family members have iPhones and Samsung Droids and they don’t have those problems. I have dealt with Best Buy (where I purchased my phone) as well as Verizon (my provider) and, at the end of the day, they are telling me that it has to be a hardware problem and that I need to go straight to Google to get the phone fixed. Dealing with Google has been a pure nightmare! I spent over an hour on the phone with them and they ran all sorts of tests and then they had me return the phone with the promise of a new, NOT refurbished phone. SO – I had to send the phone in first and THEN they will send me a phone so I’m out of a phone for over a week! GRRR! I just go an email stating that I will get a REFURBISHED phone sometime NEXT WEEK! Trying to get a hold of Google support is another issue! You can’t get a number or name to call since the page just flips back and forth to the same page. Then, I tried to do an online chat and that was EXHAUSTING! After being online, for over an hour, and dealing with 3 different people, I finally figured out that they just keep giving you the run around until you just give up! Their conversations were totally ridiculous and it was clear that they weren’t reading my chats as well as they were not going to be able to help me out.

 • that may problem also when it update not working the headphone jack

 • Salaam to all.. I Brought this phone about 1 month ago.. after 1 weak this phones Mic WORKS stop... And now I'm using headphones for calls... And when i download some apk apps form my pc then my phones stuck and reboot when open photos drive ... I'm facing These problems with this Costly Phone

 • nice

 • google pixel xl is great and awsome camera i played heavy games i had no issues this phone

 • I have had this phone for about 15 months. It started with Android 7, and I recently got 9. I haven't had any issues from the phone. I don't notice it heating up a lot, but I do not typically use those fast chargers. I plug my phone in at night, and unplug in the morning. That is usually enough of a charge to easily get me through the day. I don't care as much for 9 as I did 8.1, but I'll get used to it. I haven't noticed any slowing down of the phone, even after two major OS upgrades. Previous androids (motorola, htc, etc) I was lucky to get one OS update, and might get the patches every 6-9 months or so. But with my Pixel I get the OS upgrades the day they are released, and any security patches typically arrive on the 5th of the month. Plus not having bloatware is reason enough for me to stick with Google phones for the foreseeable future.

 • I just updated mine to 9.0 nothing wrong until now ...I had a pixel (small version) a month ago...came with 8.0 and wanted update to 8.1 ...I returned it...I was getting the same problems as you described you have on pie.

 • Android Pie

 • What version of android are you on ? ...8.1?

 • I only use half so far

 • Yes, I used both phones and of course XL is better than s7 edge in my opinion. But, it depends upon your preference what you like. For me I prefer XL over s7 edge.

 • this is such a good phone when u off to diving and alaska.. very much recommended.. it will warm you hot enough.. don't trust me? get 1 pigcel and open instagram, facebook and twitter.. 10mins only.. then your cake will be well baked :) and if u want to boom your ex, open some more few apps for half an hour then your pigcel now is a hand bomb :) i don't mind bout spending money.. i am rich.. but i need a phone not a hot square bricks on my hands

 • U tell me that s7 edge work better than Google xl

 • Guys, it depends on your phone but my Pixel XL runs very smoothly even after Android P update. Comparing with Samsung phones released in the same year, performance wise, my Pixel XL outperforms S7 edge which I used last year. Appearance wise, Samsung phones may look more stylish. Agreed with some opinions here, you can experience with clean Android no bloatware.

 • Anyone got the 32gb version? Do you quickly run out of storage?

 • I've had this phone for over a year now, and it works like a champ. Never had any of the issues some people mention in the comments. 2 years after it's release and it's still a very reliable phone with great battery life. I'm sold on Google phone. It will give you a clean Android experience. I've had Samsung phones (Note 2 & 4) in the past, but both of them started lagging within a year, not to mention all the useless bloatware.

 • Who's dumb and dumber, better choose another smartphone that is better than Samsung and Google Pixel. Outside there must be something extraordinary. Once again there is no perfect smartphone.

 • If you don't like this phone...you're dumb. Go ahead and drop that money for Samsung S/Note Series phones that are not only filled with bloatware (seriously, who uses Samsung apps other than smartswitch anyway?), but will also kill your wallet up front and for any subsequent repairs. Or, go with LG, who has unabashedly admitted to having known problems with the logic board that bricks your phone. OR, go with the all-so-sexy iPhone which is known for being problem-free and oh-so innovative. Google makes Android- period. Pound-for-pound, with the unlimited google storage, first to get android updates, amazing camera, and competitive price and repair cost- this line of phones is the best out there. If you are having problems with your phone (and I know you will only comment to this part) you probably don't take care of your things properly! Or, you have a million apps running all the time, or you have some BS like an AV or "Booster" app installed and/or a crap-ton of garbage apps loaded with ads or any other number of things done improperly that would otherwise kill any other phone. Pixels are all I'll buy from now on!

 • Google pixel XL _ The waste product I have ever used. It’s just been 7 months since I have purchased google already motherboard issue , microphone issue , and phone is getting heated too much. Now from customer care service they are not ready to replace the mobile. Never ever think to get this mobile.

 • on social media usage which is better in battery S8 or this thanks.

 • If you like to tweak your camera settings for the best results, go for huawei. but if you like to let the phone do all the job for you, pixel is the choice.

 • I was also confused in these two beasts but finally i go for Pixel XL 128 GB Variant. because of smother performance no lacks good battery timing and also a fantastic camera i am now happy with this. i will recommend you, but if you are a keen about photography you should go with P10 plus.

 • Should i buy google pixel xl or huawei p10 plus? Give me your opinion.

 • Bought the google pixel XL in July of 2017, I am on now my 4th warranty phone! First phone ringer stopped working even after factory restart, then the battery went out and wouldn't charge, Sent me a new one, Then on that one the ringer still would only half the time work had to restart phone at least 2x a day. Got replacement when the microphone went out a month later and no one could hear me when they called, Got another warranty phone this one is WORSE then the other two this one NEVER rings in volume just vibrates (yes the ringer is up fully) called verizon today and guess what there sending me yet another phone so it will be my 4th replacement phone in 11 months! This phone cost me $1,000 and it is a piece of work let me tell you! I love the phone and the "idea" of the phone if it actually worked! It barely stays connected to my google home, It's just a big ol mess! Half the time when I say Ok Google it doesn't work and says it doesn't recognize my voice. Then other times I wont even say Ok google or mention google and my phone starts talking to me as I am in the middle of a conversation at my dinner table. Very disappointed google very disappointed ! Get the bugs fixed get a new software and do it quick! Because this will be the very LAST replacement phone I call in, after this I WILL FOREVER STAY AWAY FROM ALL GOOGLE PRODUCTS AND I WILL SWITCH FROM VERIZON

 • lmao

 • Basically I like this phone. Recently I have been having rebooting issues. Verizon sent me a refurbished phone and it too had the same problem. After reading online one person uninstalled the Amazon app and had some success. As a result of this information, I uninstalled all Amazon apps from my phone and it has not rebooted in several hours either in safe mode or normal mode. I hope this information helps all those people who are having this issue with their phone.

 • Goggle Pixel XL... brilliant... clever phone that is very capable... but unfortunately, Google does not know how to support their equipment with good product support... so don't buy this unless you are completely confident in your own ability to manage any issues that arise.... Google wont help you.... camera stopped working and no ringtone after OTA update on phone software in March... very disappointed with support for 3 months ongoing now....

 • if u want lava on ur palm hand, u may proceed with this device.. :)

 • 100% I got it a month ago, the camera is still something that amazes me, the performance is great, and the battery life gives me a full day's worth with my constant checking.

 • Yes, it's a good phone for me.

 • Still worth it for 2 or 3 years ?

 • yes!

 • It gets hot when it's recharging otherwise it's normal. Mine is excellent, I have no problem at all.

 • This phone get too hot.. anyone experience that...

 • Hi do not buy this phone it's not what says it is on the box it doesn't fast charge battery dies very quick on it not a good phone for the money plus not many cases avibble

 • This phone is sooooo frustrating., The swipe to answer takes so many attempts you miss your call and have to ring back. Often in messanger you can only see one line of text and so it's hard to review what you write.b I hope pixel 2 is better than this because at this point this phone sucks in reliability. And the only way I'd get another one is if they give it to me.

 • I agree. Google Pixel XL is one of the best phones. I am totally happy with mine.

 • I don't understand why so many people are complaining about this phone. It's really an excellent phone to me. One thing that I am not so satisfied with this phone is built material as the phone can get scratched easily comparing to my s7 edge.

 • You can't go wrong with Pixel XL.

 • I have been using Pixel XL about two weeks, it's superb. My short review of Pixel XL: -Very fast including connections (wifi and bluetooth) -Good screen -Upgrade to Android 8.1 -Good camera in bright lights, a bit noisy photo in low light conditions -Decent battery life It outperforms my previous s7 edge.

 • I have only had my phone sense April and have nothing but trouble with it and now im in Cali with family only to find out that my phone will one stay on wyfi in a 4g area and where im at isn't so no wyfi for me no maps to navigate o and when I use my Bluetooth to be hands free my sound doesn't work till I do a reboot on it when I tryed to get a new phone im told no or I can have a new phone the same one im now having trouble with I wish I had not bought this phone and I really hate tech support from Google for calling me a lier about the wyfi this phone sucks

 • I personally think the phone (and pad)sucks. It loses WiFi connection at home an average of 6 times a day, very difficult if not impossible to edit pics. I can't wait to pay off the phone and go back to the Samsung Galaxy. Can't believe I was talked into this phone.

 • Ummm...Ok I get that their customer service is great...which is saying a lot since not many are, but the fact you had to return your phone a few times doesn't reassure me about the Google products.

 • Okay so my opinion on the pixel xl . It wouldn't connect to my car properly or my Hum . The screen goes black during any usage , the battery wont stay charged and when I went to do a trade in for something that would work for me . Nobody would trade this phone , Sad Sad day . I definitely will not recommend this phone to anyone . I paid a lot of money for a phone that now as of today is in the trunk of my car .

 • More than one year after the launch, Google Pixel XL is still an excellent phone. I have been using Android Oreo without problems; the battery can last easily 2 days on light usage. ;)

 • Never go to a dealer. You can easily do it yourself by flashing the factory images through ADB. You may not even need to factory reset it. Go to XDA forums, best info for phones

 • Only pixel not xl

 • Google Pixel has a sony 12.3 mega pixel its rated highest in camera. It has an extra gig of ram and excellent ram management. No slow downs with this device. I love the rear mounted finger print scanner. The speakers are very soft i have to put the volume at 2/3 to hear it. Google assistant is 10/10 better than siri. I love google integration with the phone. If i had to recommend a phone either this or 1 plus 3t or 5

 • I abhore my Pixel phone...the dealer wants to reset it from scratch..might take them on it...battery life is terrible...pressing symbols can mean absolutely nothing..it calls people at 3am while in the charger...completely unresponsive at times...much too slippery to hold onto...I use the waterproof case frequently but that limits the typing area...I've got very little to say about the original Pixel other than I can't wait until the program expires in 16 months..I had good success with Motorola units and will go back...also the Pixel is WAY overpriced.

 • Personally ive been with apple for a long time and i think the pixel is better. Fast charging, better screen resolution, Etc. Plus its android, you can customize everything about the OS.

 • Which is better iphone 7 or pixel xl

 • sorry i finaly found out by doing a fastboot it show unit is unlocked ! now i read in my research you can relock the bootloader but again i was advise not to do such thing because it might bootloop the cp ! anyway best advise is to ignore the warning anywy the phone reboot normally after less than 5 seconds because it goes into recovery to do so. if you have any others suggestions i will really appreciate ! thank you so much.

 • if u don`t know how to verify if your bootloder is locked how in the name of jesus christ u know that your is locked? :))) that doesn`t make any sense...activate developer mode and in there u will see if is locked or unlocked , i can assure you that yours is unlocked!

 • thanks but bootloader is locked ! that is the point ! still i have this warning . By the way how do you know if the bootloader is locked or unlocked ?

 • u have bootlouder unlock thats why that message pops up...ignore that..mine is like yours :) its perfectly fine

 • i have a pixel xl and i have a problem : when powering on the phone a warning appear saying that : yor device software can"t becheched for corruption ! advise is : please lock the bootloader ! also check ; g.co/abh ! this warning is color yellow . this warning appear for a very short time then after that the phone boot up normaly withoout any problem ! and the phone works perfect ! now i decided to check my cp with a technician of pixel phone and after inspection , the phone is ok it is not rooted and the bootloader is locked .! based on this inspection the technician advise me to ignore this warning ! i would like to inquire if anybody had encounter this problem and if ever there is a solution to this situation ? i would like to say my phone works very well aside from this warning.

 • Google classroom is one best smartphone especially the the software smoothness 💯 but Google says is splash resistance that is Totally No

 • iPhone present design was copied from HTC.

 • I like it this application is trying

 • I've had all the nexus phones previously and the pixel XL is the best phone I've ever had. Fast, smooth, great battery life, great camera. Google are very helpful if contacted with an issue. All in all - fantastic phone, pricey but worth the extra.

 • In the camera section of the specs it says - EIS (gyro) which is contradictory. OIS uses gyro whereas EIS doesn't

 • I have had no issues with my Google Pixel XL. The best phone I have ever owned without a shadow of a doubt! Charging is brilliant, the camera is fantastic, the software is so smooth and has almost no lag. And I left the house with 70% charge this morning and still have more than 40% left! That is with a long period of use as I use it for work also.

 • I don't like it for a couple of reasons. It seems more difficult to type on. It's not as responsive and snappy as an iPhone. There are no internal settings to stop the volume control from adjusting the ringer so that I can't hear my calls coming in. That really pisses me off. I have had 3 Android phones since the iPhone and I miss it. It never lagged and was always easy to use. Except a Siri used to drive me around in circles and navigation and that really pissed me off haha.

 • He probably tought that the file manager from google opens pdf's. The samsung one does. Anyway, just download adobe or any app that has pdf in the name if you see this.

 • Wow, I couldn't find one single accurate point about your post. I have a Pixel XL 128GB. It's fast, sharp, takes great pictures, opens PDFs (really... you couldn't open a PDF?) and runs all of the 20+ apps I have installed. I think other readers would do well to ignore your post(s).

 • You must have been calling Samsung for Google support. Every interaction I've had with Google has been outstanding. See my other posts on the topic. They don't hesitate to replace the phone if it can't be sorted out in short order.

 • You'll want to get a Speck case, or something grippy. The phone is very slick. It wants to jump out of your hand. Why can't these manufacturers make phones less slick... The Speck case works great and my Nexus 6P case protected that phone despite several drops. I expect the Pixel XL case to do the same.

 • The 6P had its issues, but Google customer service was beyond outstanding. I have no complaints at all with how they treat me as a customer. When the camera glass cracked, they sent a new phone, no questions asked. Software update caused an unrecoverable bricking, new phone in two days. Battery not charging? Free upgrade to Pixel XL. Maybe I get better service because I also pay for 2TB of storage, but they are always pleasant and cal me within a couple of minutes of requesting support. I also find it's a lot easier to get help from people when you don't treat them like they caused the problem. All of these support people are there to help. They didn't make the device, they didn't cause the problem, they are just there to try to fix it. Most are very nice, humble people who want to solve your issue(s). Is it annoying that the device has failed to live up to our expectations? Sure. Can you change the fact that the device in your hands has decided to not work as expected? Not without help. Are people you don't know more or less likely to help a person who is berating them for something they had no control over? In the case of Google support, I think they'll do their level best, even if you're a jerk to them.

 • why all copy apple design...

 • After the disastrous two years I've had with the Nexus 6p I'd never buy a Google phone again. They have completely ignored their customers and to make it worse, the Oreo update has killed the battery and caused the phone to crash.

 • I fully agree with this. Google should concentrate on software rather than hardware. Google pixel XL is example of abject failure of Google. Hanging frequently, no good ringtone no good camera no good back button. Very highly priced. No shop to fix the problem only online support available and that also very worst. During warranty period replacement is with refurbished model which may be older than your phone. So please do not buy Google phone

 • Not necessarily, I had a Pixel XL since October last year and on my second one now. The first started of with loss of headphone sound, then all sound, then charging port before it died in it's sleep! Now this Pixel XL is having problems with the playstore and requires multiple restarts to get the playstore to finish updates! Definitely upgrading back to a Samsung!

 • It clearly says "UHD 4K" in back camera video resolution, in camera settings...

 • I think you bought a chinese knock-off. The phone is very fast, there is absolutely no buffering when loading photos, and the battery goes for about 20 hours when using facebook, instagram, browsing, etc.

 • Best android phone I've ever had and I have had every Nexus since the beginning. Really fast, vibrant, clear screen and the first "Nexus" camera to rival and iPhone.

 • What are the ups and downs? Someone who owns the Google pixel XL tell me, please.

 • This phone is pathetic I am using since 2 months and believe me It's worst phone I ever used I must say Samsung is very promising brand in terms of cellphones But Google !!!!you guys failed I wish Google phones should be discontinued as soon as possible so ppls don't get cheated Low performance Low battery life Heavy weight Pathetic look Hangs too much Every thing goes taking time for buffering even to see photos No good reason to buy And Google company will not be responsible for any complain you have regarding phone problem They don't respond I hate Google pixel XL Hate Google phones

 • Cm'on get a life. Price about 880 Eur

 • Good phone, I love it, simple and easy to use. No problem with the battery. Cool Camera. Very satisfied overall.

 • I was very excited to get the new Pixel XL. Love the size, the picture quality. Using the speaker on a call is something to be desired. Everyone says I sound like I'm underwater. Also battery life hype is a joke.

 • If you can't open a PDF file by yourself, then you really have problems. The phone is fine, and I am TOTALLY satisfied with my Pixel XL.

 • Can you at least say what's wrong instead of bashing the pixel ? I have one, and I am REALLY enjoying it ! And for the battery, if you are the kind of guy who sees "200 hours", and thinks that it will actually last 200 hours, you're totally lost.

 • DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE OR THE NEW ONE THATS COMING OUT SOON. Youd think since google provides the platform for android devices that theyd have a better or atleast similar software quality but nooo. Its not just about the phone not having an ip68 rating for the price point that should give you that feature, its not just about shit hardware, its also about their software. Can you believe that. Cant even open a pdf file talked to their support for an hour to no avail. This shouldnt be classified as a smart phone, it should be called a DUMB PHONE. I wish i could have it refunded would rather get a samsung phone even an older version like an s7/s6 would still be better than this pretentious phone hyped up by google.

 • Battary charge in 15 minutes for one hours is totally false I am use it s

 • Bad to know it, I was thinking about buying one of them and now after your review am going to decide on another one. It's strange that despite that Corning gorilla glass 4 they come with both were broken, poor materils quality imo.

 • I bought two of these. My wife's display cracked after only one week. She did not drop it and it was in a rubberized case. Google refused to fix or replace it because they stated "it was not damage covered under the warranty". Now, less than six months after buying them, my screen had cracked. Honestly, I did drop mine but only from about a foot high onto a carpeted floor. Poor quality and terrible customer service if you ask me.

 • Love it. Use camera for work slow mo video. voice recognition amazing with australian accent. everything so well integrated and does everything. like apple but can easily make adjustments. had one replaced after 5 months, no questions asked. retailer told me only google do that, other makes, send it away to be repaired and you wait... mic stopped working well. I'm a huge fan.

 • Overpriced especially at launch.. sad google

 • There are substance to people's opinion of the phone but I wouldn't take it as most people's experience. Every phone brand has their share of people who have issues.

 • Ummmm!! Think you misread the question..I basically asked if the bad reviews had any substance, no one wants a phone if it's known to have issues. So your very wrong to suggest I have buyers regret

 • That's what we call ( buyer's remorse ) , forget what others are saying , that's just their opinion , f you don't experience any issues , keep it Unless you are throwing money to the wind , keep moving n doing it Can you imagine , if everyone changed phones just because some cons posted on line The sales on every brand and model would be through the roof

 • If you having no problems and you satisfied with the phone then keep it unless the s8 is what you really want. I personally wouldn't change a phone solely on online comments I read. If that's the case you'll be constantly changing phones.

 • Hey I can only give you one advise if you able to get rid of this crappy device just do it it will save you lots of hassle. Google support is a joke. I put my .02 cents in for you now it up to you what you do.

 • Hi everyone Ive just taken a contract for a Pixel xl, I'm a week and have no problems at all however I'm looking at the reviews and think i should change it for a s8 as people seem to be having a lot of problems with no help from google. or do i keep it??

 • I am very excited to upgrade to Google Pixel XL. I have been using Samsung Note 4 and 5 till now. For the first 15 days great experience, however just after my 15 days return policy expired I started facing the following issues. 1. Bluetooth seems to disconnects from my car when a call ends. I cannot receive any calls or make calls till the time I don't restart the phone and re pair phone with my car Bluetooth. 2. I was advised to reset the phone. I ensured that all of my data, SMS and calling history is backed up from the phone. The phone indicated that these are backed up. Upon resetting I was told by Google CSR that it does indicate on the phone that it's backing up calling history and SMS, however it does not. I lost all my calling history and SMS. 3. Wifi does not turn on automatically when I arrive at home, I need to restart the phone or put in the password every time. You may be looking up HD videos and realise that all your mobile data is used up on a weekend. 4. the screen is reddish and I have been informed by the Google support that this is a hardware issue and cannot be fixed with software update. I did buy an extended warranty from the retailer, however, all replacements are refurbished phones, essentially buying refurbished phone for the price of New Google Pixel XL.

 • Completely agree Google support blames everyone. I had to prove to them it was their issue and then they said.... Oh I don't know what to do then. REALLY THANKS!

 • I have had this phone for over 8 months and I can't wait to get rid of it. Wifi calling shuts off randomly. When it is on it still breaks up when making phone calls. I live where there no service so wifi calling is important. Can't access visual voicemail while at home. Contacted Google and after 8 months of arguing with them they said if I mail them my phone they will send a replacement. I told them if they pay for that weeks worth of service that I won't have my phone I would do that. They refused. Really hopeful for this phone and it has been a slap in the face the while time I owned it. Never will buy a Google phone again.

 • Good phone. Issues with overheating with Daydream viewer are resolved by using an aluminum heat sink. I seem to have some issues with losing 4G on occasion, a better antennae is in order for the newer version. Love the phone otherwise.

 • I've had my Pixel XL for 8 months and I've had absolutely ZERO problems with it. I've been using high end Android phones for years. This is the best performing phone I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

 • Had the Google pixel for 7 months, having charging problems and overheating. Total waste of money. I would not recommend this phone

 • my google pixel xl wifi, bluetooth not working at all, showin disabled, factory reset also cant help, what can i do now?

 • I agreed this phone is not worth at all I m having a same issues and there SO CALLED GOOGLE SUPPORT is sucks never get helped there always excuses will never buy this again.

 • I have purchased Google pixel XL (128GB) in Dec 2016, initially it was good...but later observed few things - 1. Phone started heating up 2. Audio quality degraded 3. Project fi slowed down the internet speed instead of increasing it and provide better experience. 4. Lot of noise while on call or important meetings 5. Google support will only offer refurbished phone though 1 year limited warrenty also talks about refund. I would say it's not worth $1000 and is waste of money. If you cross initial 14 days then brace for refurbished phone from Google for which you would be at their mercy.

 • U r only considering huawei. There are many brands like gionee xiaomi oppoo asus lenovo Panasonic zte arcatel redmi etc.

 • Go for Samsung galaxy j1. I have this model. Its very nice and cool. No lagging no heating issue battery is ok. Camera is also superb. Its not expensive as huawei p10.very cheap phone i love it. I recommend everyone go for it.

 • You just made several key points as to why it is overpriced.

 • Good joke

 • I think its funny that people are complaining about this phone not having fast charging, not water proof, no SD slot, over priced, etc. Look at what apple has been doing since day one. Clearly you forgot that Apple barley changes much to their phones and just recently made it water proof after how many over priced models? You people need to get off the dope your on and realize its their first phone, they will add and improve on things.

 • Those who think that google pixel series can kick samsung just go and drown on a spoon of water... It can never match the style and battery that samsung possess. and talking about screen quality and processor it was and can never come near it.

 • Pixel will kick any Samsung's arse, simple as that. No need for saying all those in details. Simple things are simple and they should remain so. The consistency of framerates will be in any Samsung's dream, ROFL. As a Samsung user only for most time previously, I find it hilariously that I bothered to use those lagfest devices for so long. Still the best phone available on the market, along with U11. And the most quiet comment section, love that honestly. Never did like attention and all those nonsense.

 • Oneplus 3T

 • They probably meant that it can record 4k video. On release, it had the highest rated camera of any phone. I think this is going to be surpassed by the S8. It also has, literally, the "fast charging" feature that requires the special power supply.

 • It does have the best camera just after HTC U11..check DXOMARK Mobile.

 • Yes pixel has one of the best camera, and pixel is not laggy as galaxy s7, i am using s7 too frm last 6 months and now it became little laggy

 • 4k resolution? fast charging? best camera? did google gave u different pixel phone than rest of the world?

 • seriously overpriced. god of phone nah...

 • Not only on paper. looks gorgeous even on real life.

 • Ive been a note lover from day one but after all the battery issues ive switched to pixel xl and wont look bak. phone is great and not had any issues since i got it on opening day.

 • I have had this phone for 5 months; now it is dead. 1) Be aware that this phone is not water proof, not even water resistant. Get soaked when caught in heavy rain and your phone dies. And water damage invalidates the warranty. 2) This device has no expansion SD card; so you are limited to the in-phone memory. 3) You can get 32G (which is half of other modern high-end phones) or 128G (which is too expensive.) 4) This is a 4-core machine (4x2.2GHz) versus others which are 8-core (4x2.35GHz & 4x1.9 GHz). Less machine for more money. 5) No wireless charging So think about getting this phone. It is sub-par on many levels.

 • That big ugly useless chin, that goes along with the big ugly body, reminds me of a television produced in the year 1955. Does the Pixel XL run on vacuum tubes? Do you have lug around a portable generator to power it?

 • Hi this is Aditya, Google Pixel launched on 4th October 2016, And today also it remains my personal favourite. I want to present my views at first. Before choosing a phone first decide ur needs. If u want fastest processor Go for an iPhone 7. It has fastest processor any phone has ever had If u want good display Go for an Samsung's Galaxy S8. My needs were: Best camera Top class processor (though not best) Clean ui Super AMOLED Display 4k resolution Great AI (GOOGLE ASSISTANT) Latest android Fast updates Fast charging Fingerprint sensor which is back mounted Etc. My these needs get full filled by Google Pixel Iphone doesnt have Amoled display Android 4k resolution Good AI Fast Charging Back mounted Fingerprint sensor Samsung doesnt have Clean ui Great camera (though it is good) Top notch processor(it lags behind in antutu benchmark) Less bloatware Solidness( it is fragile) Repairabily capabilities (it ranks 30) Etc

 • huawei p10 i think

 • which one is better , pixel XL or huawei p10 plus guys ??? i need phone with fast charging n good battery life , n good performance no lagging n smooth .

 • Remember my friend! Chinese phones are now on par rather better. They are ruling the world economy. Now they make class leading products depending upon price. Samsung has fallen into a ditch by going edge. People want practical phones. So it's either iphone or Huawei in future. Its only a matter of time.

 • Looks good but doesn't work good. Lots of problems. First, it overheats. Next, the assistant starts operating without any actions on my part. Next, apps open and can start operating without my starting them. EG, the torch comes on for no reason. Brightness will dim to zero without any reason. The phone is not easy to answer and it is easy to make mistakes in trying to swipe up or press the answer button - depending on which way it decides it wants to be answered - and you can miss the call. The phone likes to make pocket calls - just touching the phone in your pocket can cause a call. Typing in apps can encounter annoying delays. Possibly not Google's fault but Contacts cant be edited. The main thing that got me to take the chance on Google's first high end phone was the expectation that Google would continue to improve it and any glitches would be quickly addressed. I have been using it for five months and am not impressed with the way it works. As soon as Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is out, I am going to switch.

 • Its a bummer that the didnt include optical stabilization but they did a good job with the digital stabilization, for me the worst part would be that the phone is not water resistant and the absence of stereo speakers especially at that price point.

 • pixel guy

 • Because this isn't some Chinese stuff with messed up inconsistent software! Jeez! Its a trend of nowadays, most of these Chinese stuffs look absolutely gorgeous, on paper.

 • That is completely normal. It's a function called fast charge.

 • I have a Nexus 6P. The same thing happened to me but i did some research and found out my phone has a noise cancelling microphone at the back of the phone, its a small hole. If it is covered, you sound muffled and people will say you sound far away etc. SOLUTION : Take off your phone case.

 • Agree, their price is over if you check it in specs but i guess their OS is more updated and Direct like apple OS, than other phone. but they dont think the marketing. google pixle XL in Amazon sony xperia XZ in Amazon

 • the worse part of this phone is.. It has no OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) Rest is perfect... Best phone of 2017.. but bit expensive one..

 • no uSD == no sale - a cloud that you can't connect to may as well have precipitated. we dont all live in the city.

 • People can't hear me and say I cut out all the time! I can't hear the ring tones and notifications very well. I even installed a volume booster that didn't help. I googled this and found many others having same problems. Google, fix these issues!!!!!!!!!!

 • best camera hands down better than iphone 7

 • for the next PIXEL(s), Google should re-think about the price, we can get better/similar phones with cheaper price.

 • Highly overpriced.

 • It does work with android auto. I use mine with a kenwood 893s.

 • This phone is brilliant. Previously I had note 3 that i've bought when it was all-the-way best but now it falls back slightly so I had to choose new phone. My wife's Galaxy S7 Edge is pretty damn good but it's slower, has worse camera, unresponsive fingerprint sensor and will take much time to upgrade to android O and probably will never get this android 9 update so this wans't really a choice. I love everything about that phone.

 • Please help. Does Google Pixel XL MHL capable? Wanted to use Android Auto. Thank you

 • One recurring problem, on all 4 Pixel XL phones. Google assistant keeps talking without any prompt at all, even if the room is completely silent, with no television on, or even anyone in the room. April 6th / 2017 i received a fix from Google, after installing the fix, there's no difference, if anything, it "may" be worse, (i doubt that the fix made it worse) I only say that because, before I went out today, April 8th, she spoke out once, after i returned, she spoke out 3 times, in 5 minutes, that's a first. Does anyone else have a problem with the Google Pixel XL assistant, speaking out without any prompt ?

 • Don't use your phone if it getting very hot. Master reset and if no change then return phone under its warranty.

 • Google pixel camera can't come close to s7 edge and Sony??!! Are you serious?? Or you just don't have an idea what google pixel is??

 • So according to your statement Chinese phones can't be trusted!? Don't be such a hater!!

 • i'm facing a problem with my phone is becoming very hot and the battery finish very quickly. very bad choise

 • Sorry to hear that you have issues while charging. It has been more than 6 months and i couldn't be happier on my selection. Suggest you to get it checked with your google to get it fixed

 • The one plus is limited on which carrier you can have it on. Pixel has a wider variety.

 • Google is a trusted brand whereas oneplus is chinese tech and on the specs and price point of view u just answer yourself.

 • Frist it's highly priced phone and charging phone issues second it does not have radio its basic feature

 • Can anyone please tell me why I should buy the google pixel xl instead of the Oneplus 3T it would really be appreciated as they seem to have the same specs actually the 3T has a higher Ram dual sim and storage capability cheaper price and upgradable to Nougat

 • Recent update has destablised WiFi connectivity, down with Google as past. Just wait Pixel 1 2017 sept. 900$ past.

 • What are slots at bottom of device on the edge?

 • Does anyone having charging issues with this phone? I am charging it with the charger in the box but it was showing that charging rapidly what to do now?

 • The only problem is they hv not done branding, the Google logo must be visible but it is not.

 • Price is to much high... Specification is average... Camera result poor then samsung s7 edge and sony X...

 • No one's forcing you to buy this phone. So, chill out man!

 • 6 months out and they are still out of stock.

 • If you want to camera phone then go to Sony Xperia xl because it's best camera it's compir with dslr ok iPhone Google pixel Samsung LG every one has using Sony censor so sony Xperia XL is latest from sony so definitely the sony Xperia xl is better for camera good luck.

 • Recently got this phone a month ago. So far my experience with it keeps getting better and better. The way the android nougat together with the hardware makes the phone amazingly smooth. Fast, no lags, or hiccups. Awesome phone😀

 • Says who ?

 • The problems get to you after a month of use.

 • No.

 • Why don't they have 64 GB varient ????

 • Yes

 • Had the pixel phone for two weeks. I am enjoying the speed as well as a great camera. No problems as yet

 • worst looking phone ever! if i want an iphone i go buy it iphone this design is just a joke.. so much dead spaces like sony phones ugh...

 • You are totally wrong

 • If you think S7 is a beauty then go see a doctor.

 • Love your report...

 • You should look into LG they are the only ones making phones with swap-able batteries, but not for long i guess take a look at their new flagship the G6, the battery is sealed in but the phone looks superb, only other option that i see is V20.

 • That means at least two brands' phones suck.

 • iphones are garbage though lol and ios sucks. Common knowledge.

 • Gee, if I wanted an iPhone I could just by from Apple. This is an iPhone wannabe with Google's name on it. Thanks, but no thanks, as I want expandible storage and swappable battery.

 • what do you mean by lte?

 • what about Vivo v5 plus? Huawei mate 9? HTC desire 10 pro?

 • Mike, What about the camera performance between pixel XL and V20? Your comment is truly sincere and helpfull. I'm looking for a phone with best camera and if it would be similar to the Notes, better. Regards Inés

 • Google pixel xl The Best Camera Phone I have ever seen no smartphone can be compared as in camera's

 • Grammar? Punctuation?

 • hi everyone i am using pixel xl last 2 days brand new phone phone is great amazing experience i really enjoy using myself but i am facing the wifi connectivity issue i done herd reset all things but nothing work out wifi connection is very week dont why he is struggling to download some time fine after a mint crashing please gave me suggestion and advice how i fix it thanks very much

 • :)

 • Aesthetics not much to look at. Top notch software and hardware however. Overpriced like iphone. Awaiting the LG G6 as upgrade to my current stellar G3. If not to my liking then it's a choice between the other 2 flagships carried by my provider, iphone 7 plus and pixel xl. As Apple doesn't hold much of an appeal to over android me it will most likely be pixel xl. Minimalistic on the outside but solid on the inside.

 • haha ha. no waterproofing . those uglyyy bezels all around the display. looks like a 2014 phone. no beauty like s7/edge & ip7plus. pricey . even op3t is better looking than this.

 • Is it a good phone or not?

 • The great phone but could be better Competition of 2 kings is now between 3 galaxy s7 iPhone 7 And Pixel iPhone is only about processing, at this point of time also they us LCD displays.battery is just not enough, it doesnt have fast charging Ai is just okay and camera may be good at there end but all gets bad due to LCD fhd display. Os okay at user experience but no root, apps from unknown resources, and apple store is just not easy at pocket Samsung is all about illogical thinking. They god knows why keep camera bumping out. It can get easily scratched if we move it around a table (camera facing down) why do u need to make so small speakers. Only focusing in display and user experience they have not got processing. What will u do of better looks if it wastes one second on just loading. Os updates not more than for 2 years. Why? Like Google did by giving nougat to nexus 6. Why cant they do give the latest android that phone can run . And repairs is to be mentioned s7 was given repairability rating of 3/10. And removable battery which either blasts off or needs to be replaced after year, increasing Samsung's profit Google Pixel is a full course. It has great camera (highest dxomark rating), great processor( antutu 10th benchmark rating) display(Super AMOLED display) battery(fast charging 3.0 and better power managment) AI(THE BEST Google assistant) and last but not the least the only thing google doesnt have is bloatware

 • Wife and I originally bought Note 7s. After the swap outs we bought home tested S7 Edges. No dice.... The Notes were simply a better phone but had their quirks as do all phones. My thinking was I would never find a phone to equal the Notes, and that was true of the Edges. Wife eventually got a Pixel XL and I a V20. We traded use of the phones to compare, with the intent of possibly trading in the one we didn't like as well. Conclusion is: We both liked both phones, though I preferred the V20 even better than the Notes. (Use the right stylus on the V20, and it works just about as well as a Note.) Wife at this point rated both dead even. She didn't have a preference, but liked both better than the Notes. I really liked the Pixel XL, but in terms of everyday use the V20 won out. None of the "cons" listed by the writers are actually notable to us. However personally, the one thing I didn't like on the V20 was the back side, on/off button with fingerprint reader. Also the Google VR does not work on the V20 as once stated, early on, that it would. Wife decided to keep the Pixel for herself and I kept the V20. We were both wore out from the hassles of trading so many phones. In reading the review on the Pixel XL here, the writers got at least 1 thing wrong. The Pixel XL is in NO WAY louder with its' external speaker than the V20. Nowhere close. Nor is it close in speaker quality when connected to decent speakers. We know this for fact as we have compared both phones. Wife agrees though, the speaker phone loudness didn't matter to her. She was more concerned and impressed with the connected speakers. Mike

 • I have a Nexus 6P and we are most likely running the same android version. For me the wifi hotspot only works when my phone is unlocked. Might fix it for you as well.

 • Nice and Good Smartphone. however lately after the latest system update the wifi or hotspot connectivity has been a issue. it keeps gets disconnecting. I use my phone as hotspot which gets disconnected after a while. ......anyone else having similar issues??

 • The Phone is Good. However, since last few days after the update has happened the wifi or the hotspot connectivity issues have come up. anyone else has same experiences???/

 • goodluck to you..hahahahaha

 • Not still, nowonwards itz very difficult to see sd slot because it slow down the phone performance then asusual people will complaint or wright bad reviews on that particular phone instead of bad performance of sd.......

 • I really like the phone :)

 • Would like to review the phone, but waiting 3 months for it to be back into stock and the answer from Google is that they don't have a clue either when it'll be back into stock, I've decided to wait for the Samsung S8 to hit the streets. I'm sure the Pixel is a great phone, but since Googles warranty on there phones isn't worth a hill of beans, its time to move on to another product

 • I feel the same way. That is very important to me.

 • Aaaa, Phone itself is good, but design is so ugly

 • guys see that stand-by and talk, that is suck, no body use 3G Please put the data 4G or LTE.

 • still without sdcard slot.. that's a tragedy...

 • Pixel XL is not available here in KSA at all, very hard to find. seems useless search

 • I just ordered my pixel xl I wasn't sure how I felt about it but you have just made me feel with no regret about buying it thank you for the info.

 • There is no sD card slot because this is how Apple makes money so Google do the same:)-

 • Don't like the fact it does not show unread or missed calls number on the app

 • While I appreciate the review of the Google Pixel XL, I find it of no value having been on a waiting list for two months and no availability date (per a Google Support Engineer). As a past full-time Test Reviews Editor for LAN Times Magazine, we never wrote about anything that didn’t have a delivery date. I would recommend you follow suit. I would be “on board” with Google Project Fi if Google actually had the desired hardware to do so. Sincerely, Matthew F. • There is no card slot

 • Nice

 • This phone is amazing, I changed my S7 for the Google Pixel XL. I'm enjoying the N 7.1 and taking wonderful pictures with this camera, the best right now over the rest of the Smartphones in the market.

 • hey fool it stores most of its files in cloud storage so what's the use of card slot?

 • You buy the 128gb version and you won't need a memory chip also a lot of things are automatically uploaded to a cloud storage to keep most of that empty

 • To make it splash resistant and elite phones dont prefer sd

 • Hw can google the powerhouse of technology design a phone without an additional memory slot ?

 • And Google doesn't make the Pixel, HTC does. WHat's your point? Why does it matter who manufacturers it?

 • And Google doesn't make the Pixel, HTC does. What's your point?

 • Apple doesn't make the IPhone... Foxconn does

 • You're welcome buddy n.n

 • THANKS for saying - HAPPY to hear that when there are so many choices out there while family members using different brands are eagerly advertising? LOL

 • Oh sure yes, thanks for the reply.

 • Nice phone very clear.. dont like that I can't turn data on/off without opening another screen, no silent button that I have found yet, apps don't show notification baddeges this annoys me... Phone seems fast and smooth acting just taking time to get use to it been a Samsung user for many years

 • May this link answer your question?

 • What is the difference between the Original and XL?

 • If you like means buy it... Don't go for user reviews...

 • You can buy it at lelong website

 • Google it. lol

 • When pixel will be release in malaysia??

 • Dear google, Please launch pixel XL dual sim model phone to asaian Market as soon as possible with same specs or higher, we most appreciate if you can give pixel xl dual sim to us sooner......thanx

 • Very high price

 • Not so... Verizon was just running a special on them $20/month = $480 for an XL. I know for a fact since I bought one, trading up from my old tired Note 4..... got $100 for it making my new XL $380. Hate all you want, no one is forcing you to buy any thing, in the end it's just a damn phone kids.

 • Because if slower SD cards are used it would slow up the process of the phone & there would be hickup in performance. To avoid this situation flagship only depend on their very high speed internal storage. Also even you throw up the fastest Sd card available , it would be lesser than 1/10 th of speed compared to the internal storage that flagship use.

 • This phone is Overpriced

 • Iphone is rightly overpriced because apple makes it's software as well as the iphone, hope you will understand.

 • Bell has a great deal on the XL right now. 50$ for 2 year term.

 • its so nice with function ,look ,feature

 • Any suggestions where to buy that not 1k dollars?

 • No card slot its so bad

 • Been using the phone for last six hours or so, just rooted, the performance of the device is "fantastic". I really never thought that Android could be this fluid. There are still some jitters/frame drops when I rotate the phone in Google Maps, but that's forgivable. Because the smoothness overall is just a pleasure to use. The camera is excellent as well. Would definitely like to tweak manual settings if that were given but in future I am sure. By default with HDR Auto or On, the quality is fantastic.

 • No, even the ones sold by Verizon are technically unlocked.

 • iPhones too.

 • Overpriced!? Try to check iPhones...!

 • ...Question... can the Google pixel/xl be locked to a carrier, cause normally Google phones r always unlocked. ???

 • Dearest knowledgeable.Just a question !?What is(are reasons)reason for not unity in internal memory of some brands(having 32,128,256 gigabytes with double and triple prices!!!) without a dedicated external memory and using hybrid dual purposes !!!? Samsung A plus is an example of frankness and vivid correct marketing !! Thanks in advance for your logical answers!Justice Rights is factwriting!Omid12Omidvar,....

 • That's your comment when somebody shares his opinion. Even myself I consider it overpriced even if I can afford any phone on the market. Overall benefits on this phone are not worthy, if I don't buy it you say that I am a beggar? Bad words I can fill for comments like this pages, but you are just a bad example. Price to benefits ratio on this phone is mediocre.

 • Will have this phone on January 11th, hope I like it.

 • then don't buy it

 • Unfortunately Google will not decrease the price just for you, it's called "business" and you have the following options: TAKE IT or LEAVE IT! :v

 • yes there is google assistance

 • Can we get hands free siri-like feature in it.

 • Please, for the love of gawd man, USE A COMMMA every once in a while!

 • Let me repeat some basic facts for you. The Google Pixel XL phone lacks the following: Reasonable Price SD Card Removable battery Navigation keys on bezel Lower Weight Any other screen size Waterproofing Smaller bezels Wireless charging Stereo speakers Less thickness It's a mid-ranger and should be priced accordingly. In fact, I'd buy an HTC 10 any day over the Pixel XL. It's a much better value as it is priced, when discounted, according to its feature set. But hey, don't let the Google name and Google's marketing cadets get in the way of facts.

 • I'm really sure you love Pixel phones, otherwise you wouldn't be here bashing Google/HTC by this phone ;) // Such a hater, it's almost Xmas dude, stop crying like a little girl and grow up.

 • I don't know if I should get this, the LG V20, or the Moto Z Force. What do you think?

 • Wheres my comment?haha........and one thing....lg first dual core phone in the world....

 • LMAO!

 • Very much true.

 • I agree.

 • Same thing with iPhones.

 • It's simple. I hate the Pixel phones. They're nothing more than overpriced mediocrity being marketed with the Google brand.

 • If you don't like this phone, why are you still complaining? You said it, there are plenty of Android phones out there, you might check them. -_-

 • How can you "confirm that you cannot find any phone out there who can provide you better android experience than this one?" There are 100's if not thousands of phone models that run Android. How is it a better experience for users that want the following features, found on other Android phones costing much less? SD Card Removable battery Navigation keys on bezel Lower Weight Lower Price Any other screen size Waterproofing Smaller bezels Wireless charging Stereo speakers Less thickness

 • I own Pixel XL hence i can confirm that you cannot find any phone out there who can provide you better android experience than this one. S7 edge camera has hazel pixels when zoomed but pixel does not (compared with my friends phone) It is expensive but feels good (premium) the moment you hold it in your hands.

 • After doing extreme research i bought Google Pixel XL. It does not have looks and is expensive however the experience is worth every penny. It's flawless without any lag and you get updates the day they are released from google. No word can describe how happy i am with it's camera which desreves to be the best camera in smartphones. It highlight lights as of naked eye (better than eye in some cases) where apple, samsung galaxy s7 edge fails. I have 32 GN varianet and i do not regret buying such a small storage as all the images are uploaded in cloud and 1 button in photos app removes the images/videos already uploaded. Clarity exceed my expectations from the time i bought it. Applications runs smooth and there is no heating problem as stated in reviews by some users (it could be a manufacturing defect which happens in Apple, Samsung products as well) It looks big but it is handy and fits my small hands perfectly. Scren has 2K resolution hence video's looks clear and i have downloaded 2K videos from youtube to flaunt within my friend zones who were opposed to spend on this beast. Price and looks are the areas where google has to work and act as a roadblock however if you notice reviews from all major tech experts you will realise that everyone is going ga-ga about it and it exceeds their expectations as well (excluding looks + price). Best Android experience, best camera in smartphones and unlimited cloud storage increases smartphone experience and did i miss the resolution which outshines iPhone 7 Plus as well (i am die hard apple fan and Nexus 5 was my first android experience) still i chose Google cuz the beast is not released with the beauty from the looks. Buy google Pixel if you want to have the best experience and freedom from Android else buy iPhone 7 Plus if you can cough up the same amount for looks and less freedom+features than Pixel.

 • I will stick with my Nexus 6P. Still killing phone.

 • could be better with more coloirs \

 • I may be nitpicking, but the as of December 13, 2016 at 7:45 AM EST the Galaxy S7 Edge is on the list at #9. If I'm not mistaken the Apple iPhone 7 was on the list not long ago. The statistic hints that Google, with all their marketing $$$ and advertising, can't seem to push into the market like other expensive phone manufacturers. In my opinion their phones are overpriced, ugly and functionally lacking. They're worth approximately half of what they're asking.

 • why you wanna buy pixel? whats ur major concern?

 • should i buy the htc 10 or wait for the price to come down on pixel xl?

 • so? Just a reminder..that list is full of low to middle ned phones and no high end phones at all! Do you see the S7 edge or any iPhones there? NO! Not everyone is capable of having a budget like that, and since I have worked with GSMArena b4 I know the list never has high end phones voted in from the public based on the interests.

 • Like you said, most people do buy a phone that suits their needs and not what everyone else wants. THE POINT is that there probably aren't too many people that find the Google Pixel phones suit their needs. Now, do you feel better, noob?

 • who cares about GSM top 10 hahaha. I look for a phone that suits my needs not what everone else in the world has or wants. NOOB!

 • Yes there is a phone its called Huawei Mate 9.

 • Not sure about that LG comment by previous user. G4 onwards all suffer from boot loop as I've just found out. Almost impossible to get a flagship that has a SD Card, removable battery and doesn't catch fire or fail these days. Back to the future for a Galaxy S5 or Note 4? So much for technological advancements!

 • Don't think there is no phone can beat pixel, pixel xl and iphone 7,the LG V20 and LG G5.in my opinion LG is always better in cameras.if camera is your problem it has more wider cameras.and if software is your problem lg v20 is also running 7.0.and it also gives expansion fecilities and user removable battery, the only thing which it does not have is google AI.but don't worry lg gives all the things you need and it holds lesser price tag so you dont need empty your bank.and u know one thing lg v20 is the phone which would have been the first nougat powerd phone in India,it failed because the shipment was very late.i suggest you lg v20 is a very good smartphone.

 • Are you a Noob or what. HTC will provide service Google has it all taken care of.

 • Just another reminder... Google Pixel XL still doesn't show up in GSMArena's TOP 10 BY DAILY INTEREST list. :)

 • Firstly,i think want to buy this phonr because it's great phone but when i think wisely where can i send this phone when this phone broken or whatever.....where to find it's spare parts.......lastly i skip this phone......i hope google can built their franchises in all countries for they benefits also.......the phone great but no google franchises and centres.......

 • dese it have wireless cahrge feature?

 • What does it mean? I guess you meant that a phone has to be popular to be the "best". // Whoever told you that, must be wrong (I don't like Google Pixel either), but I'm not crying like a little kid asking for attention as you do my friend.

 • Excellent phone - zero problems, and I'm loving the Android experience. Having moved from iOS, I can only describe it as freeing.

 • Will the US version work on 4G band in europe or should i get the global version since I live in the middle east and want to use the 4G band. Thanks for an answer.

 • Please go through the below

 • Just another reminder... Google Pixel XL still doesn't show up in GSMArena's TOP 10 BY DAILY INTEREST list. :)

 • Google is in plans to slash the prices upto 35% down, to increase it's sales and to face the tuff compitation among other brands. They gona announce a week before the Christmas. So GOOD LUCK google!!!!! Hope at least now u might find some crazy buyer's.

 • Yes there is..

 • Use PIE control or whatever is popular now. On screen buttons are incredibly stupid, from whatever angle you look at it. I never used it on my Moto X back in the days.

 • Guys please don't waste your money on this mobile which is good for nothing except the brand name G. Think logically and reviews of various tests like drop test, scratch test, liquid etc and all. There is no proper service centre for this Brand and only thing which you get is stock Android and early updates that's it. In this case one can choose moto which is reliable and most successful in the market. There are plenty of options available in the market like Samsung, htc, LG, Sony, moto, etc which are of not only good build quality but after sales service and one can expect a good resale after using it for a desired period.

 • I love this phone I have this 2 moths ago and it works absolutely perfect recommended for you guys who wants a phone that works awesome and perfectly in its price ^_^ ♥ ♥ ♥

 • no private mode like in samsung

 • Apart from price everything is perfect when i saw the handset today in showroom. It's really give a premium look and feel...

 • Google Pixel XL and Google Pixel are still no-shows in the GSMArena Top 10 By Daily Interest list. Bwahahahahahahahahaha, Google

 • As a previous Samsung user and new to the soft button world I do agree! However the fingerprint reader on the back is something I could easily get used to!

 • is that reaally tru and trusted

 • best awsome hanset louch to google

 • thats not a problem, the soft buttons will autohide when watching videos

 • I happen to agree with gturf. I have owned galaxy notes and Nexus 6. I really love my big screens. Although the soft buttons are nice in many ways, i prefer separate buttons the way Samsung does it. Plus i do not like the fingerprint reader on back!!!!

 • I wish GSMarena would create a metric for phones with soft buttons called "Effective Screen size" to take into effect the amount of screen space lost by the buttons. I have never owned a phone with soft buttons so would be interested to know if you typically lose 0.2", 0.5", or some other amount of screen real estate by having soft buttons.

 • I am a dummy. After a minute of googling I found that you lose an average of around 0.36" of screen real estate with soft buttons. In other words, this is comparable to a 5.1" screen, which is too small for me since I am used to true 5.5" screens on my last three phones. And given how large the Pixel XL is, pretty pitiful that it's a 5.1" screen. They should have put hardware buttons on that giant bezel.

 • Bro pixel xl have best smartphone camera and many more thing which are great go for it

 • Has anybody tried to serve appetizers on the chin of the Pixel XL? After all, for the price and the aesthetics of this device it really should serve more purposes. :)

 • Wait for the s8 belive me its great look at its specs

 • Excellent..... mobile

 • why Google put speaker in bottom like nexus 5 nd thats why sound is lower by finger when using rotate view.

 • Pixel XL is STILL a no-show in GSMArena's Top 10 by Daily Interest. :)

 • G3 + 64 GB Adata UHS-I Class 10. The read/write is nowhere near the internal memory. Not even at half. The funny thing? It's Androids fault (and Microsoft for not having native support for MTP on Windows), as soon as you put it into a card reader it aprox. gets the specified speeds.

 • Are you working for Google ?;) Really dude, this phone it's look like Note7 for Google ;)))) I bet, Google will return back to project "Nexus" next year !

 • the problem with most sd cards is their read right speeds just aren't fast enough. they are subject to corrupting the data on them. and the manufactures would rather you used their cloud storage

 • No SD card no radio none removable battery WTF, over priced junk just like Sammy's phones, what's up with these manufacturers ,?

 • You're totally right! I'm dissapointed with manufacturers also because of this lack of Micro SD port.

 • Right now I have A galaxy note 4. I was going to get the Note 7 but after what happened I now don't know what to do. Im stuck between the pixel xl or the s7 edge. I might also wait for the s8. Your thoughts?

 • What is with android phone manufacturers not wanting to put sd card support on their devices? I dont expect apple to put one on their phones because they're stupid really, but with android, you should not be limited to a fixed storage. Whats the point of utilizing the freedom android offers when you're bound by STORAGE?

 • Expensive you say? So is the latest iphone, and the other top tier android phones. The main problem with the pricing of this phone is that it will hardly depreciate as time progresses, unlike samsung phones which become affordable after 8 months (off contract). The nexus 6p still sells for roughly the same price at the time it was launched in my country.

 • You can recover your data without an SD card we do it all the time in the shop. It is very tricky with android though depending on the carrier and the lock.

 • Honestly would have loved touse this phone as a backup to my office. But no external memory?

 • no SD Card dead phone one's your this phone suddenly crashes and you wont be able to recover your data.

 • It support LTE but question arrive is it a VOLTE phone.? Y gsmarena never mention VOLTE feature of any mobile..?

 • IMHO, he speak about "jailbreak"

 • "If you don't want to be jailed, go for Pixel" wtf?!

 • Exactly my thoughts :)

 • Forget all of those phones. Go for Xperia XZ. Price/performance XZ wins easily. And it's a beautiful phone.

 • You should spend that kind of money when the phone that you are buying really has something that sets it apart. The Pixel is just another phone.

 • Heyy bro ! J7 and A7 6 are midrangers ; so both performance and camera will be average or even low after some time for a flagship phones user If u mind VR go for Pixel xl ! If u don't want to be jailed go for pxl ! Camera on both is excellent , though i like the idea of the optical zoom and portait mode Fingerprint on both is very accurate , but I prefer it on the front like on the Ip7 plus Stereo speakers and better waterproofing are some reason of going for Ip7 plus , after IOS For me it's Ip7 plus or , if u don't matter it , huawei mate 9 (or mate 9 pro when it'll be availble worldwide)

 • HI guys. I'm planning to buy this phone. It is available for 960$ in my country. Is it worth spending this much money on this phone? I don't like its exterior design(ugly af) but I love its hardware and it's buttery smooth to use. My other options are Samsung Galaxy A7 2016 (380$), Galaxy J7 Prime (350$), iPhone 7 Plus(1000$). I know all of these phones are of different categories but I'm unable to make a decision yet. I wanted to get a Note 7 but my idea of buying it exploded. Please help me in making decision in buying a new phone. Money is not an issue but I don't want to waste money. I want to get the maximum bang for the buck.

 • Google Pixel and Pixel XL Phones have a problem in pairing and connecting to Cars using the Bluetooth. There are numerous complains at the product form page of Google So far Google has not addressed the complaint and have assured the buyers of any date by which they will fix the problem. Even though this may sound to be a small problem, in reality, Bluetooth is used a lot in cars as people need to take calls while driving. Google has just ignored the early adaptors and is not providing any customer support at all. In fact, now they know the problem but they still don't let the people who want to buy the phone know about the problem. This is unfair as after buying the phone the user will be stuck with a lemon. In terms of numbers, the problem is around 3 to 4 weeks old. If you consider the average usage of a phone as 2 years, many of the users have already used the phone for 3% of the life of the phone without being able to use an important functionality. My opinion is that everyone should stay away from the phone until the problem is fixed and I think something must be done to escalate Google's response to the various consumer forums to take them to task for not providing service and from hiding faults from customers.

 • This is why you never pay full retail price for a phone.

 • The Google Pixel XL is an superb device. It outperforms the six phone I have owned and used. The screen is beautiful, the speed is extraordinary, the camera is the best, and all the other bells and whistles are useable and accurate.

 • very disappointed !!! cheap materials, cheap speakers low audio, little screen too much for this crap

 • One S.phone One Soc One os Hey apple! Are you ready!? Google, excellent strategy

 • It beats the S7 (snapdragon 820 version) but the exynos 8890 version, is a different story

 • Google Pixel XL is equal to Apple iPhone 7+ And is way................ better than Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge

 • What! you obviously haven't seen the comparison videos, please watch them on youtube before making such ridiculous statements, the pixel kicks the crap out of samsungs when it comes to performance.

 • price is too much high than other flagship :(

 • God that is an ugly expensive phone with crap audio and a bummed camera.

 • I could put a tea cup on them bezels..

 • What? They're the same price.

 • i think that google doesnt wanna sell this phone. are they silly or something! what the hell is this price. go away. samsung is the best phone

 • Who's gonna buy this crap. Even Xiaomi Mi Mix is better in price and spec with better design

 • ridiculous pricing, very dissapointed! you can get allmost three Galaxy s7 edges for this money! and its not even close to beating Samsung!

 • why is it so expensive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ?

 • Just a reminder - Pixel XL has NOT been showing up in GSMArena's "Top 10 by Daily Interest" stats. :)

 • it's so good phone by Google I love it

 • It's a very big mistake made this device fail around the world

 • The battery inside is branded HTC so uhm ya enjoy being wrong.

 • Ofc it's 4G you idiot it's a 2016 flagship

 • Dude then better go for a Korean set

 • I have a pixel xl 128gb in black * Great battery life I'm a heavy user and used it from 8am on full charge and by 7pm I only used 35% Connectivity is great I'm getting signal in places where my S7 didn't and picking up more wireless networks. Screen is excellent with vibrant colours OMG the camera is amazing Sound output is good wish it had front speakers but very nice

 • please don't buy if you can't figure out whether it's 4G or not.......

 • prices is very high compare to hardware feature

 • What?? 55K?? Maygad I have rather stick to my HTC m9 or should I buy an iPhone 7 plus or I'd rather have to wait the coming of the 8gb ram oneplus4.

 • This gentleman asking phone is 4g or not...ha ha...

 • I own a pixel Xl, The Pixel Xl is a fast device with a nice display and an excellent camera, it looks and feels like a premium phone and the battery life seems reasonable too. Not everything is perfect about the Pixel. The lack of front facing speakers leaves you with a single mono(!) speaker on the bottom of the device, which does not make for particularly good music listening. People complain about the lack of an sd card slot but imo SD cards are very unreliable and have corrupted devices for me before. 128gb feels like ample storage when you consider that your phone comes with unlimited photo and video storage in the cloud too.

 • Pixel XL has not been showing up in GSMArena's "Top 10 by Daily Interest" stats. :)

 • The specs are perfect and the phone runs with no problems. But the design is awful to say the least and if you think the price of the device it really is a bad investment. Nexus 6p every day.

 • It is disappointing that the phone phone has no sad slot. The absence of that made me to change my mine on buying the phone.

 • I have a personal rule that I avoid buying phones that do not have an sd memory slot and or you cannot replace the battery yourself. Manufacturers and sellers need to know that they are loosing a big chunk of their potential market when they are taking that route.

 • Lenovo not HTC

 • Hai friends i am using pixel xl and one plus 3, i felt 9ne plus 3 is good for me because of few features which i like and useful for my style of usage. 1. Vibrate on call connect is not there with pixel xl 2. There are no hardware navigation keys. 3. Battery percentage bar. 4. Dark screen option to save battery. One plus 3 has got an option to change screen color to black which it save battery a lot which is not available with pixel xl 5. Vibrate on touch is not getting disabled in pixel xl. While typing vibration is not getting off. 6. I am used to keep the back screen keys option on right hand side but there is no option for swaping the keys position in pixel xl. Please guide me if i am wrong.

 • It is in its initial release in my area I still cannot purchase the very blu variant give it 2-3 months the price will drop so will upfront costs on contract phones.

 • Yes!

 • Lol! I can buy two BlackBerry DTEK60 at a lower price, heck even Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge (Exynos variant) and Asus Zenfone 3 Deluxe (6 GB RAM variant) costs lower than this phone.

 • is this phone support 4g ????????????

 • Taiwanese. It's built by HTC for Google.

 • Is this phone made in China? PS: DON'T lecture me that all phones are from China even iPhone, I just simply want to know is it made in China or not, but still someone will reply that even his mom is from China.

 • just had the pixel xl 128gb for a few days now and must say its a brilliant device . This is what i've been waiting for on an android device , switch from an iphone 6s plus . The speed on the device is so fast and responsive , fastest android device ever . There isnt much to brag about in term of feature wise ( it doesn't cook your dinner for u ) , but everything on board just work so perfectly . Camera is definitely on top of the best i have seen , the speed is so fast without any lag or slowness ( not even a hitch) , screen are way better then iphone's , battery is great , fingerprint sensor are super fast with 100% accuracy . i must say its not a device that compete in features , but for everything in term of daily usage like perfect camera , battery , screen , speed , and reliability of stock android , its a highly recommend . For those that are considering, go for it and you'll luv it .

 • I don't know if it is wise to trust someone who can't spell.

 • $1,200 for a dam phone? Google can kiss my ass.

 • The price which you people have posted is quite more than the features of the mob I am not in good terms with the price. ,,,😒😒😒&#128530;😒

 • There is are no special features which specialises the google brand. Google had to come up with something new not Nougat...though@!!!!!! Please bring something special with affordable rates. THIS PHONE IS LIKE "NOT GOOGLE BRAND"

 • u must be blind in the hand

 • I could literally buy a bike for this price!

 • Andriod Phones are stated from INR 3000/-. Goggle pixel XL priced 76000/-. The same config of XL phones are coming around 30000/- with premium design. go and die google...

 • Looks like a Samsung or iPhone, only the back is different but not my favourite, why the bezel not paint with same blue color? I think they should research a new design language.

 • overprice...

 • I looked at a demo Pixel XL today and I have to say it looks so boring and dull and just doesn't seem to be worth the asking price I think and my HTC 10 has more character to be fair, there's no way I would pay what they want for it and I'd maybe pay £500 for one but absolutely nothing more than that.

 • Price is very high no duel sim

 • Head-SAR: 0.25 W/kg, Body-SAR: 0.44 W/kg, USB Type-C, fanless According to :

 • Pixel has newer chipset & new OS, note 7 has extra 2GB of RAMs, but motorola z still the fastest and has module innovation

 • I feel bad for saying this but I reckon the Google Pixel looks cheap from the front and back and comes at such a demanding price... this is just a opinion not a judgement

 • Hi Can anyone tell me what the Sar rating is for the Pixel XL. I believe that it has one of lowest for a mobile phone. I just want to find out before I go purchase one of the handsets. Regards Bert

 • In order to challenge iPhone, you need will courage to extract exorbitant dollars out if customers. But Google concept was cheaper vanilla android good phone. Not a dud design with same high end spec, but triple price. It's will come down bet it, by Dec after Christmas, to 550 max fr xl

 • Will Google 're consider price tag seriously? can google justify why its charging hefty compared to other brands

 • I guess someone forgot to mention about the call quality, signal reception of the device in this review. We tend to review each and every aspect of a mobile phone except that of the call and signal quality ( which is the basic function of the device ).

 • The battery life is awfull İ just saw the review İ expected at least 85h for that hardware For that price tag i cant compromise sorry

 • What type of case did you have it in? I've dropped a Note 5 in a Otterbox Commuter from 15 ft with no damage. My previous phone was in a Otterbox defender and it was run over by a prius... NO DAMAGE! A PRIUS IS WORSE THAN A 1/2 TON TRUCK. high weight, skinny tires. A large truck running over a phone in a commercial is a gimic, the much higher sidewalls, lower pressure of tires that are not made for high MPG, a Prius puts down more pounds per square inch than a F-150 or any 1/2 ton truck with oversized tires.

 • Do you have XXL?

 • What do you think would happen at that height! Phones don't bounce!

 • Are You Use this Phone...,

 • I bought the pixel xl expecting it to be very durable since i do a lot of work on roofs. this one time though the phone slid out of my pocket the device fell off the roof of my house by accident and it fell around a 3 metre fall onto grass. CCTV footage shows the phone landed on its back but when i retrieved the phone the screen was absolutely destroyed and the phone would not power on.

 • Oneplus has 820 and 1080p. so does iPhone 7 plus and pixel also you can check Off-screen benchmarks.

 • Great phonephone and photo's are mint, and for those of you who don't want tumors developing on your brain, the SAR readings are the lowest I've seen on any phone.

 • Tell me mate... why do you need 256 GB? I have LG G2 with 32 GB and is more than enough

 • I have both an Android phone and an iPhone, let me tell you, Android outdoes iPhone in everythig.

 • My reason not buying pixel campare to iphone 7plus 1) Only one speaker 2) no Optical image stabilization for camera 3) IP rating campare to iphone 7plus, Pixel and Pixel XL hold IP53 rating and can't be regarded as the waterproof 4) no 256 gb option 5) android phone with no sd card support no wireless charging than s7 edge is better option 6) too much price for an android phone 7) Design not that great looking 8) Speed n benchmark apple wins

 • Pixel's camera beating iphone 7's camera everywhere, iphone fan boys ain't able to digest this at all. I've watched almost 50 reviews on youtube regarding camera comparison of pixel & iphone but almost every review was in pixel's favor in camera department. DON'T TRUST MY OPINION GO & CHECK IT OUT. I GUESS GOOGLE DIDN'T BUY EVERYONE AS IPHONE FAN BOYS CLAIM.

 • At this price i ill choose iphone 7 plus Looks great Ios simplicity 256gb option Good resale value Faster I ill never spend this much money for an android phone

 • Iphone 7 benchmark is high because its screen resolution is too low (hd) compared to other flagship mobiles...

 • Now my ipad 2 retina is laggy aren't smooth!

 • the design doesn't look nice

 • specs aren't everything. they made am article about s7 too. lots of people from reddit xda and everywhere made threads about it. The old iPhone with 1gb of ram and dual core CPUs never lagged. and also performed better in games because they had low res screens. still the new iPhone has a better benchmark scores than current android flagships. and it doesn't have all the fancy specs and it's fast

 • The pixel XI and the pixel are packed with snadragon 821 chipset wich supposed to be clocked at 2*2.35 kryo & 2*2.0 kryo but both pixel phones are clocked at 2*2.15 kryo & 2*1.6 Kryo which is exactly the same as SD820 on Lg G5 and the s7

 • Bought the Pixel XL recently, after much debate. I love it. Picture quality is superb. I have only experimented with night time shots so far. According to experts, the camera in day shots outperforms any phone. Night time photos, lg v20 can keep up.

 • http://ww w.xda-developers.com/with-the-note-7-samsung-still-delivers-embarrassing-real-world-performance/

 • 20MP is better than 12 on a smartphone? You got your brain marketwashed! The size of each pixel is 2 times smaller to pack two times more of them on the same size! More does not equal better! Actually 12MP is the best what you can get for this size of CCD. . But according to your logics F=2.0 is worse than F=2.8., because 2.8 is bigger?

 • Gyroscopique stabilization system is currently the best and pixel's camera is the best one out there without complaining

 • See review in you...u will find, why google pixel got higher rating

 • Mp doesn't matter.....don't be fool

 • Oneplus 3, 27000/- pixel xl, 57000/- OnePlus 3 v Pixel xl OS Android OS, v6.0.1 (Marshmallow) Chipset Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 820 CPU Quad-core (2x2.15 GHz Kryo & 2x1.6 GHz Kryo) GPU Adreno 530 Nothing deferant

 • Yeah DxOmark is paid for that 89 score.. LOL

 • Only 12mp f2.0??? Better I choose dtek 60...21mp,quad hd screen...BlackBerry make extremely good comeback with good spec and price

 • Excellent reason for comparing these phones. I also use this reason, and it is among the most important criteria on a phone when buy it, objectively, not subjectively.

 • No OIS and f/2.0 aperture? And they (DXOMark) call it the best cameraphone? Ridiculous. It's another proof of that DXOMark is a paid, fake review site.

 • There are million of reasons and alibis for people who can't afford to buy.

 • No the s7 having the great specs they doesnt lag but note 7 i dont no bro ya but it is having a battery issues but once its fixed its great . But where as pixal & pixal xl camera compared to s7 & s7 edge camera the s7 wins it i feel that s7 has great specs

 • I am disappointed with low screen to body radio, only 71% my nexus 6 has 74% which was the main reason I bought it.I want the smallest body with the largest screen

 • If this Mobile like the Note's stylus as well as the possibility of using two SIM cards to be sure of the sales was more welcome.

 • Long time ago thers an ois, wireless charging, water resistant, expandable memory, double simcard, multifeatures s-pen..then people call this elctronic a smart phone..?are we getting id¿ot? And what the use of updates if you hav only 4gb ram, till when it can accept updates..my note7 is the real smart phone, one phone with another invisible phone benith, can be an explosive to take airplane down..what can u ask for..?waiting for ressurection..

 • Why are people dying to buy Pixel xl, don't understand, maybe all nitwits. It's as advanced to any Chinese high end cells, but half its price. We don't know half of technicals, and copycat our coleagues. Now a days every Tom dick & Harry, have reasonable cell to use. It's all frustration than professional photography.

 • Good Performance But I prefer an Octa Core Processor than Quad Core but it's Ok I will rate it 4.99/5.0

 • Stop hating on this phone, EIS probably means like Entertainment In Softball. U r just hating because u can. This phone was voted the best android phone in the history of ever.

 • you should stick with your NOKIA 3210. let us buy pixel :)

 • On the contrary, one of the reasons for which I buy google made (or for google made) phones (like the nexus line) is because I do not like the hardware buttons and I prefer instead the software buttons that are more flexible (could in some situations rotate with the screen, could dynamically add buttons if wanted, like a menu (3 dots) buttons, etc.). But they could have reduced that space below the screen.

 • all that space at the bottom of the phone and they still put home buttons on screen :-(

 • Oh, the ignorance is strong in this one. You can't test a phone's camera from inside a building, lol. This phone is easily the fastest Android phone around right now, and possibly even faster than the OnePlus 3, the fastest Android phone out. Yes the price is high, there's no OIS (the EIS in this thing is incredible),there's no stereo speakers (which is plain stupid) and it borrows design cues from many other smartphone OEMs, but it is definitely not a slow phone, nor it has a bad camera. You were either looking at a super defective pixel, a different phone, or you're plainly trying to defile the phone.

 • Well maybe your eyes are used to them, but for someone like me they're unusable, not to mention the delays (even the share button is annoying) . if you google it on XDA they have an official news article about note 7 and s7 edge

 • I can't believe I actually thought this could replace my beloved P9. Google, you've disappointed. Horrible design, ridiculous pricing, underclocked GPU, no microSD card slot, weak water/dust-resistance. Guess I'll be sticking with my P9 and waiting for the P10, and overall sticking with Huawei for a long time, until you figure out how to create a great smartphone for everyone. Try being the good, in-expensive version of Apple, for the love of god.

 • Features like stabalization and HDR+ Are added post shot so you have to look in the gallery to see it and that is where it beats the shit out of any other droid.

 • Get a real cell provider

 • My S7 has never lagged

 • Yet note 7 and s7 lag. Specs aren't everything. And Samsung never updates anything and their quality is just plain aeful

 • I miss sd card slot, but finally an official Google phone. Keep it up!

 • have a look at;

 • The biggest advantage of the Google phone's will be the Updates. As they develop they will deliver. not like the crap of Samsung - HTC - LG or any other b*** s***. it will help google to make Fragmented Android like iOS. Anyways, Google is now creating tier of OEM, who will deliver the latest updates, will get high ranking & support from Google. Rest, phone is a phone. Keep it up to that.

 • Depends on preference. I like to be able to take my phone out of my pocket and unlock my phone mid move.

 • HTC only help Google to put the phone together. Hardware wide, is all by Google. Similar to Apple's "Designed by Apple in California. Assembled in China".

 • Check the camera comparison on youtube. It stands side by side with the S7 in some case even perform better than it.

 • specs are not that high???? it has a Snapdragon 821, 10% faster than the 820 or the exynos chips found in the Note 7, S7 Edge and HTC 10...

 • GSM Arena doesnt post the price

 • no card slot non-removable battery a big NO !!!

 • Well, it arrived into the Canada market and I had chance to play with in Ottawa yesterday. I shocked! It was not what I expected based on announced details. I can say it was the worst smartphone that I was ever seen. Very poor in camera quality and facilities in compare with other brands. Not handy at all. Quiet slow and in total I can say that not worth even try it for only once! Picture quality in all cases disappointed me and sorry to say that but it is not attractive at all. Seems arriving of Google to hardware is a big mistake. Even Google had no success in previous products as well. The only reasonable product was Nexus 7 tablet. Buying this Pixel phones(both models) is only wasting money.

 • the xl is qhd

 • Its a google phone.

 • Good point. But, what percentage of users care about VR? I'm guessing, not many.

 • This is an HTC phone. manufactured in taiwan.

 • Dear Gsmarena team, please bring google brand name in the home page list of brands. Thanks...

 • I see so many people complain about the Pixels bottom chin. However people seem to forget that this is the first official Daydream VR device. So having a symmetrical phone will help users to center it in the Daydream VR headsets. Or other Cardboard headsets.

 • Does not look like a phone to buy. Samsung is still better. Even HTC is.

 • The phone sure has a big chin considering it has on screen capacative buttons instead of physical buttons. The specs are not that high with only a quad core processor. It seems priced way high for the hardware that it has.

 • Awesome phone, android n is too good, been using it on my nexus.

 • Does it have a notification light????

 • okay, so pixel phones got the highest mobile score in dxomark , we'll it's clear some other flagship phones are so much better like the LG V20, I wondering why it's not even have an entry in that benchmark thing ... looks like they were paid by Google ... on top of that, I can't even see a post saying if 89 is for pixel then what is for the other flagship? Looks like Google have manage to delete such topics on the Web to appear that Pixel has the best camera to catch people attention.

 • You can put your finger under the phone when it is on a table no need to pick it up

 • So i think its a practical phone with no gimmicks.surely its overpriced though.i mean seriously who really use dual edge display or say force touch display in our daily life,i do have s7 and 6s and to be honest i dont use both feature that much.if only google could price it lower pixel could be a huge success.

 • they should have put the fingerprint sensor on the front, so that it would be more accessible than in the back. you don't have to get your phone from a table to unlock it with your fingerprint ID.

 • Better i wait for Huawei mate 9 with aluminium body, 20 megapixel camera, sd card slot up to 256gb support, 128gb internal, 6gb ram, and 6.0 inch display. I will never loose my money to buy google phones and iphone coz they have nothing special.

 • Does it have the led indicator?

 • Man u dont know what u are talking about, since the MotoMaxx/Droid Turbo, android dosent had any phone with best specs in all areas, like that one prob wont be, its a good phone, can be the best in general, but not in all areas...

 • Dual sim for poor people? I guess you're one of the rich people, writing from your parent's basement. I however have several sim cards from various countries. In some countries I like to use one sim card in one area and another one in a different location because of differences in signal strength. Another issue is that I travel internationally and receive SMS codes to charge a credit card from a different country on a specific sim card other than the country I'm currently in etc.

 • Pixel XL has Qhd and amoled on the 5,5 inch screen. Memory card is now for poor people of the 3rd world with 50 mb/s writing speed. Dual sim also is for poor people. Google Pixel is now the best mobile phone: best camera, best os, best cpu, best audio output for audiophiles on headphones like all htc devices.

 • Hello, i wanted to clarify certain things in my head about the storage :D . 1) will i choose the primary account of my phone and it will give me the unlimited storage there? 2) if i uploaded 10 photos to the cloud , they will be removed from my phone and if i want to view it i should download the photo ? or would i be able to see it normally in the gallery even if it is not physically on my phone and is on the cloud? 3) it is for all videos and photos right? not the ones that are taken from the device camera right ? Big thanks ! :D

 • tell me when was it mandatory to have dual sim slots ? plus it has QHD.. do your research before you comment

 • This mobile is destroyed by the on screen keys. Other makers give you a very simple choice, use on screen keys or tap the selector and switch to off screen keys. It's not hard to implement makers out there.

 • Ugly shape..... No card slot.....32GB.. Google is moving backwards

 • This is a piece of shit from Google... No Dual SIM No MMC Slot No QHD but price is high.. S7 G5 Rocks

 • Overview With an overall DxOMark Mobile score of 89, pixel, the latest Google smartphone, is the highest-rated smartphone camera we have ever tested. Its image quality scores are impressive across the board, but it is particularly strong in providing a very high level of detail from its 12.3MP camera, with relatively low levels of noise for every tested lighting condition. It also provides accurate exposures with very good contrast and white balance, as well as fast autofocus.

 • Doubtless! I'll ... XZ

 • Agree with everyone else ugly, overpriced phone with huge bezels. Looks like cheap plastic on the back.

 • For some yup essential, though recently discovered a OTG cable and a memory stick also works. So it depends how you use your phone, if you only need extra content in specific scenarios maybe this solution works for you. A few other bits... Bezels, yup thin bezels do look good, but for pratical use a bezel can actually be helpful on a touch screen to avoid accidental touch. Camera - I have heard the low light performance being called into question, so will wait for reviews before buying Android Updates - I hear 2 years is Guaranteed, what do we all think will they continue after this? Speed - Disappointing early benchmarks, sounds like they have underclocked the SD821 to SD820 levels, I have heard this gives brilliant battery life. Might be good to have a "Performance Mode" for when it is needed?

 • Does it have a LED indicator, or any other way to notify you of missed calls/new emails etc?

 • Abso wicked fone. Deffo get 1 x

 • Go buy Xperia XZ you'll never regret it.

 • Yup. Seems that Gugl took Crapple path which ain't good at all, no SD card, etc. BTW da fone looks like a plasticky rotten egg, very ugly. And never worth the price Gugl os asking for.

 • IMO the bezel is still to large, if the left-right more closely from edge it will looks more classy, and then up-down too, maybe 67-70% area looks good. Using 2,5D display not necessary, even edge display. And the edge of case too roundly. I dont know, sharpen edge looks more exclusive i think, look at some xperia design they've good design. please take a largest internal capacity if you want to buy this, refer to it missing microSD slot.

 • No, according to the FAQ section for this phone on the Verizon Wireless website.

 • Does this support wireless charging?

 • Just you

 • The main reason for using a memory card to supplement inbuilt memory is anything less that 64GB built in memory. I'd rather have 128GB with no memory card slot. Awesome phone......end of!

 • Does this phone have a customizable theme store on it pre-installed like some other devices or ?

 • I want this phone so much. Is it just me or does this phone look like an iPhone with the home button on the back.

 • Is it just me or this phone looks like an iPhone ? I'm sick with iUser since most of them just use the phone for show off without even knowing half of the features. It's dumb to spend so much money on a phone.

 • yes it is.

 • No phone without a card slot should ever be considered awesome. JMHO

 • Waiting for a XXL. and Dual SIM. Phone is my main information tool.

 • so the nexus line-up is now replaced by pixel. is that true?

 • Google pixel is awesome ...Google pixel XL is the big brother of google pixel

 • This phone is honestly kind of a disappointment, all the specs of the phone are up to par besides the CPU. Seriously Google, just put in a quad core processor and expect that to be enough ? i was actually looking forward to buying the 128GB version, but now i know i won't.

 • Look at Pixel Xl & iPhone 7 Plus What's special in those!? In iPhone : Super Performance by CPU GPU & what!? In Pixel Xl apart from monthly security updates also upgrade os in every year! & what!? Nothing in both especially Pixel XL : no radio, no SD card slot, no Dolby Atmos, no 24-bit 192 kHz, no front stereo speakers & important thing's in Pixel XL: Expensive or overpriced, too much!! 820 euro.

 • The things you said will make customers not buy Android phones anymore.

 • Hi In this world & American owners monsters software such as Microsoft & Google : Everything's Possible

 • No, this is not happening

 • No, this is not happening

 • See Fi

 • V10 battery was the worst battery I've had. Hated the V10. Started lagging bad too.

 • The Back is Metal and Gorilla Glass!

 • A bad mobile and back mobile company as well bed service . So many other mobiles with less price to choose.

 • Its the software implementation which will differ mostly. LG will run heavily skinned Android version, I personally used the version on G3's, and it was beyond horrible, worse than TouchWiz. So if you are okay with LG's UI then you could go with it. Pixel's main advantage will be its vanilla Android and its smooth performance, over any phone which runs on skinned Android.

 • I need some 2nd opinions, this phone or the LG V20 ? I am skeptical of ordering the LG V20 because a lot of people say that the battery sucked with the previous model, LG V10. Is this true? Since LG V10 has extended batteries for sale on Amazon, do you think they will do the same thing for the LG V20?

 • I think the back panel is made of plastic. Metallic body looks great and I reduced 1 mark in its looks.

 • Note 7 has stopped its production and sales due to its battery explotion. Samsung note 7 in air India planes due to same reason.

 • Thanks buddy

 • Thanks buddy

 • please look at the competition out there ,, and add this devise to rest ..along with the note 7,, both will be happy to not be in any one's hand ...

 • how about india customer service, tell me

 • Hi Google According to your too many Limits {like China wall} for Users: 1. Change open source to very Closed 2. Change Java to Swift programming language 3. Change names models to : A. Aggle Pixel B. Aggle Pixel Plus C. Aggle Pixel SE Pixels R very Closed than iPhones :|

 • Buy from Google Store online (UK) or carrier edition from EE

 • I want this, but i have Cricket and not Verizon! What an outrage!

 • I thank people will buy more if its priced highly.

 • What happens if something goes wrong with the phone in the UK? Say a cracked screen, is their a HTC or Google store you can take it to?

 • Android OS, v7.1 (Nougat) Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821

 • --> just like everything else except Samsung, they still include it. --> yes stereo speakers, but front facing. --> water proof and dust proof even. --> No its not a random number, I can open all my applications and my OP3 runs smooth. --> I could argue even more, my point is they give us sub par batteries. --> not high quality DAC as LG v20 --> No its not, helps with image quality and prevents shots from blurry, I tried side by side comparisons. --> the problem is the specifications we are getting do not make up for the price, not even close.

 • Single Sim

 • It's Single SIm

 • Is pixel single sim or dual Sim phone????

 • s7 edge

 • see the bloody service these Chinese provide. Pathetic, not only in India but even in Europe one plus has the worst sales. Huawei are still trying. Best sales and support the world over is Apple and Samsung.

 • You wrote the truth. Thanks buddy.

 • No need to send it back. It will be shut down per the carrier (rooted or not). And, you will no longer be able to trade it in.

 • Cool

 • I agree ! What are the odds?

 • Then if you don't return and a month from now your house burns down. ..don't complain when you can't sue them for damages. ..it's your own fault! 😂

 • I am still using my note 7. Not planning to replace, No other phone can match its quality photos and awesome display.

 • Quite frankly, I prefer the finger print scanner on the back of the phone it is where you would naturally rest your finger when holding the phone. I don't mind a front placement like the Samsung or Moto Z but the rear placed FP scanner on the Nexus 6P was awesome.

 • Have you lost your mind! Samsung has a date to totally make the phone inactive! It is a dangerous phone!

 • I'm still using my N7 and no plan to send it back since no other phone can replace it for a bunch of feature which I use 100% everyday..dual sim, 2 accounts in 1 phone(1 is hidden),s-pen,qwhd,costumisable, ips68, descent battery life, good camera..I'm not a big fan of any fon,but without those basic features that we've already have long year ago is a waste of money..all fon surfaced after my note3 didn't encourage me to buy till Note7 birth..good fon..except defective battery but mine never overheat even in heavy usage.. whatever company it is that will lunch a new fon with those basic features we need, definitely that will be my new fon..I will not lend my money for nothing..

 • Thag is true dude ... but i gave up on the note series and went back to an iphone 7plus because android is so unstable and unreliable. Only problems I had with high end android devices except for ,y galaxy tab pro 12.2 tablet ... but i only use that for couple of things and youtubing when i go to bed.... i was so disapointed that i went back to stupid apple phones ... at least they work when you try to make a phone call or send a simple text...

 • Iphone is crap!! 750p LCD screen lmfao. AMOLED is best boy proven. iphone is a rip off you pay so much for 2010 specs thats what get. Apple is trying to sell you something that others have been using for years. Force touch a gimmick, phones have QHD now, no memory card slot really?

 • Stop putting finger scanner on the back!? Pixel = High price, finger scanner on back - no go OP3 = low price but out of stock? (not highend camera(?)) Where should I look now? Coming from Samsung Note 3 - where Lollipop really sucks ass!

 • Best specs Really bro ? Do your research Xiaomi , Asus , ZTE , lenovo and other companies have already released snapdragon 821 a month ago they even have better camera and DACs for sound than pixels and they cost less than half ! This phone is just a measure to copy Apple's methods of discriminating Rich peoples from avg consumers that will only work against a fool with lot of money to throw on garbage . LOL very similar methods like apple telling "we care about users need , thus google assistant " and increase price so that no avg users can buy , " Google daydream for users best experience " which is made of cloth , plastic and 2 glass lens and cost more than google latest chromecast . I am sure in some days google will launch a watch made of paper and price it more than pixel and then change its brand name to igoogle or ifool ..... lol

 • let me explain to you in my country pixel is cost 2 times the nexus 6p and same as iphone 7 plus 128gb variant ! hope this helps to keep you updated. and dont even compare Iphone to this crap, Iphone have way more better specs and performance, and pixel dont have dual speaker set up its a single speaker in two outlet at bottom , and still dac used is not a 32-bit which are now common among lots of phone billing half of pixel and again there is lots if difference between water proof and resistant . thanks me latter.

 • Really google all prices same as Iphone7 , seriously do you want to compete an iphone with less specs and huge price , what about normal consumers now they cannt afford this phone . In India its priced at inr 76000/- OMG , NOW GOOGLE HAVE BECOME NEW APPLE , GOOD LUCK HAVING SELLS .

 • Too bulky. It's a definite no for me.

 • i like google pixel with stereo speakers dual camera with support of optical zoom, laser autofocus,Optical Image Stabilization, RGBC-IR sensor and support of project tango

 • "Adding basic features like Dual Sim & FM Radio could have boosted to 10 times the actual sale." So dual sim means that instead of ONE overpriced service plan, you get to pay for TWO. And FM radio, which nobody in the whole world actually USES. Add in two useless features and it will sell better? Who'd of guessed?

 • "really ugly looking device, looks like a hybrid of an icrapphone5 and a cheap chinese 25 dollar knock off, exceptionally bad design, by far the most ill conceived piece of expensive bad taste apparatus" Yeah, that "glass rectangle" really is getting old. After all, everything has looked *exactly* the same since around 2008. Maybe its time for a TRIANGLE?

 • "well the official Nexus line never had SD slot. So this just the norm." Nexus One had an sdcard slot.

 • How are fruity or samdung "desirable" brands? Fruity doesn't actually do anything, so it is worthless, and nobody is better at samdung at insulting/attacking/not supporting their customers.

 • -->No SD slot Just like everything else -->No stereo speakers Yes stereo speakers, look on the bottom edge -->No water proof Water resistant -->No 6 GB ram 6 seems like a very random number. Its not even a power of 2. From 4 GB, the next logical step is to 8 GB. -->No 4000+mah battery Well, you could also argue that it doesn't have a 10,000Ah battery. What's your point? -->No DAC Not only does it DEFINITELY have MULTIPLE DACs, it also has multiple ADCs. -->No OIS OIS is a complete gimmick. Take it from me, my phone DOES have OIS, it does NOTHING AT ALL. -->But huge price, go buy it, have fun with it people. Like many that came before it. Google ADP1 was $400 in 2008, that was a huge price at the time. Then the next year Nexus One was $530. The Nexus S stayed the same, at $530. Following that was the Galaxy Nexus at $650 back in 2011. Then there were a couple of years of "cheap" phones, the Nexus 4 and 5, both LG, were $350 and $400 respectively. Then it went back to CRAZY prices with the Nexus 6 at $650/$700 The year after the 6 was a mediocre year with mediocre prices But now back up to premium with premium prices -- $650/$750/$770/$870, which really isnt that far out of line compared to ADP1/NOne/NS/GNex/N6. Maybe next year they'll make a cheaper pixel? Or you could just go buy an apple, they cost all the way up to $970.

 • Where do you come up with mediocre? These are very obviously the best spec'd phones you can get.

 • Because a lot of users think of a brand (LG, Motorola, Huawei) when you say Nexus, and like when saying LG most think as a slow phone, they now brand Google Pixel to create a new image.

 • Lol seems like you never had/owned a google smartphone not ever had a custom aosp rom in your phone. If you had it, you would finally realize why google is the only iphone competitor and why we need google phone against apple. Even nexus 6p puts 2016 flagships in a shame when it comes to performance speed test.

 • does any one know the camera focal length of rear and front camera of this phone? thanks.

 • Killing Nexus line for this mediocre garbage? Why couldn't they co-exist if Google wanted in-house smartphone? All those years building the Nexus bloatware free smartphone line and they come up with this? Not okay google...

 • -->No, 128gb is not enough, maybe for you, and microsd is swappable easy to access files. -->yes I'm listening to music on my phones and I want great media experience, and I hate earphones, damages your hearing over time -->not particularly but for these exorbitant prices these companies are asking, I'm a bit pretentious -->No, 4gb ram is certainly not enough, OP3 embarrasses note 7 in speed. -->we don't have 4000 mAh batteries because people are not demanding, they go and sleep in lines for a overpriced phone. -->again for that price I want everything and more -->I could give 2 craps about dx0mark, if i recall correctly it was giving HTC 10 Max score and s7 camera is clearly better -->reply from you and people like this are the reason Apple is no1 and sells a phone where you pay 40% for the brand, why? Because you and others have no demandings, and even more, question desires, "why have that, go buy x for that" etc.

 • Which are desirable brands. Google is not a desirable brand and can't command that high a price

 • Thank God there is no SD Slot. . . (it is not NEEDED) Thank God the battery is not removable. . . Why would you want to remove the battery? Thank God this is one of the best Android phones out there until Yandex begins there adventure first ever secure Smartphone.

 • We have too many NO in GP.xl : Radio => No Dual stereo speakers => No Dolby Atmos => No 4500 mAh battery capacity => No Less than 500 OyrO => No Surely! SD card slot => Biggest No Left 4us : lovely big bezels & 820 euro! Over

 • Actually, the price is about the same as similar smartphones (like the iPhone 7 and Samsung Galaxy S7).

 • No SD card slot = no go! No removable battery = no go! No IP68 = no go! NO NO NO.

 • I find it funny how people say it is too expensive... It is a less than $700 phone with twice the specs of an iPhone 7 of the same price... but somehow the iPhone does not look pricey... Humans, so easy to control.

 • this a good step from google

 • Tired and boring design.

 • well the official Nexus line never had SD slot. So this just the norm.

 • Too costly

 • Well, with battery life specs like that, its a candidate for serious heat issues, I'm guessing, but I am optimistic. If successful, it will get some traction into the Samsung market share. Its a S4 equivalent with faster processors and higher resolution (I really loved my S4). Viewing the screen in bright sunlight will be less possible due to the absence of the "Super" in the Amoled screen. Camera is adequate, but falls short of the S6 - 16MP.

 • It'll probably explode :d

 • No SD slot ---> apple and samsung have tried this, so it's not new, 128 internal is enough, plus pixel offer with online storage for photos.. you can buy USB otg No stereo speakers ---> are you listening music to your phone stereo speakers? really? buy earphone or headphone! No water proof ---> it's IP53 which is enough for your daily activities, unless you are going to extreme places No 6 GB ram ---> 4GB is more than enough now No 4000+mah battery ---> give me example of premium phones comes with 4000 mah No DAC ---> of course there's DAC inside, but only few phones got extraordinary DAC like Vivo or LG V10/20 No OIS ---> Dx0mark gives huge score points to this phone But huge price, go buy it, have fun with it people. ---> phones with huge price not just this..

 • 32 gb and no sd slot?

 • No SD slot No stereo speakers No water proof No 6 GB ram No 4000+mah battery No DAC No OIS But huge price, go buy it, have fun with it people.

 • Don't buy note 7 now ,it already a flop .biggggg mistake frm samsung they are too hurry to make note 7 now look...there biggest mistake in note series . if u like samsung phones dn wait for another flagship ...now they will make something big because the King (Nokia ) is comming back for the last fight for his throne.

 • No sd alot not worth it sorry looked cool but oh well anyone know if battery is removable

 • Save U'r money for the next Note 8. Too many issues for Note 7, including flight ban. Find cheapest alternative with U'r preferences for now.

 • Only 30 out of 1,000,000 exploded, so there is a 0.0035% chance of it "exploding" (setting on fire). It was never bad, so go for it!

 • The number? lol

 • "How to pull an Apple 101" by Sundar Pichai.

 • no ois. with ois will be 1000$

 • Man i want note 7...what do u thnik it will become good?

 • very white quite black really blue

 • bezel xl

 • Specs sound awesome, but not sure if camera will perform well enough, especially in low light, and the price... c'mon google, the price is just not worth it. I'm sure there will soon newer flagship phones with better specs and lower prices.

 • looks nice and powerful in term of specs, but the design looks plasticy... also it's overpriced as price suggestion is around 800Euro which equal to $890 BLAZING PRICE!

 • it does not need leica to make good cameras

 • 32 GB is enough because you have unlimited cloud storage in original quality in google photos.

 • Awesome phone 👍

 • Not everyone wants to store their personal photos in the cloud so internal storage is a concern.

 • The specs of this phone simply do not justify its price....

 • Why you need storage when photo is unlimited in original quality.

 • whats the edge of this mobile phone from the other brand out there?

 • No SD Card. What the hell? Thats a deal killer.

 • No dual sim even? The price is horrendous as well.

 • How greedy for your data a company could be? See, they release yet another phone without sdcard slot. Keep walking, nothing to see here... Another phone I will not buy, just for that

 • Nah no need to pop a vein fellas. Just vote with your wallet and get either a 6P/angler, LeEco Le Pro 3, Axon 7 or 1+3. Problem solved as a stopgap. Google will normalize the prices on they get their numbers in. It won't be pretty for them sure but they'd still want to move the units. Give it a couple or 3 months.

 • Get the LG V20. Has all of the bells and whistles but with an added SD slot, rumored dual sim support (we'd have to wait about that to see if it's true), and biggest of all: REMOVABLE...battery. What Google has to realize is that we didn't want an iPhone copycat for Android; we wanted a Nexus 6P with updated specs and AT LEAST a micro SD card slot. Oh well...

 • At last Google could not resist, thousand dollars tags, by looking at duffer public paying same for iPhone 7 even with 3rd years old design. Why not them, no waterproof or extra ordinary getup, most dud design, if still they can sell, I am afraid he'll is here!

 • JB HiFi will be selling the 32GB for $1269

 • No expandable memory and NO non-removable battery are deal killers! No go! LG V20 is all the rage!

 • really ugly looking device, looks like a hybrid of an icrapphone5 and a cheap chinese 25 dollar knock off, exceptionally bad design, by far the most ill conceived piece of expensive bad taste apparatus

 • Then why the hell are people are buying chinese craps???

 • Them thick bezels top and bottom is just.... Ugh... Hideous device.

 • droid 7.1, only 4gb ram, not 4000mah++, just 12mp, 534ppi a.o.k, no replaceable battery? still no OTA dtv? ? VR capable! snapdragon .. 240fps@720p. A.I web., 5.5inch EVDO & LTE,. so balanced. i hear the price in australia will be 2424$. i'll pass thx

 • Wait, this phone is "splash and dust resistant?"

 • Adding basic features like Dual Sim & FM Radio could have boosted to 10 times the actual sale.

 • Will there be a dual sim version?

 • very faster and clearer about camera looking fab than apple faster than apple everything is better than apple

 • hello wise man... who forced you to buy this phone... why you are here if you dont like this phone... nobody is forcing you dear... go and buy iphone the most foolish phone till today..

 • & Supports the capture up of 28 Mp !

 • The Snapdragon 821 is 10% faster than the Snapdragon 820. The Snapdragon 821 is 70% faster than the Snapdragon 810 in the Nexus 6P. The Snapdragon 820 is 60% faster than the Snapdragon 810.

 • Sorry Google....i really want to buy this phone....but i can't...very disappointed...:((.... I have thousands of photos on my SD card and I want to continue to use it......

 • this is an overclocked version of 820 which means more power better benchmark dcpres. google pixel xl is about what the google s best right now. better than apple

 • 820 euro, NO Headphone in GP.xl Box ! What Bounteous :|

 • If it can produce better image quality then why the hell the bulky dual camera setup? Some Xiaomi phones have dual camera but what's the result. Have you ever seen a dual lens on a DSLR? I believe Pixel Phone have the best camera on smart phones.

 • I'm running a custom Exynos 8890 chip and it beats A10 Fusion on AntTuTu (Score: 198315) and Geekbench 4 (4812 = Single Score, 8410 = MultiCore score). So shame on you to iPhone fans out there hahaha (I'm talking about the people who says A10 Fusion is the best chip in the world, also wait for the Snapdragon 830 or Exynos 8895 that will beat your ass on AnTuTu and Geekbench 4 scores)

 • So, the pixel is supposed to be an iphone, basically. Google doesn't get that the reason we choose android over iphone is lower price and all the options in the android world that the iphone/ios ecosystem doesn't offer. Nothing they announced, google assistant, unlimited storage,VR is enough to pull iphone users and the price is just alienating android users.

 • What is the difference between snapdragon 820 and 821 they are both same ghz and quad core whats the difference?

 • So there's a Qualcomm MSM8996 Snapdragon 821 too? Or is just a typo?

 • Looks like its time for an upgrade coming from a Nexus 6. High specs and unlimited Google photo/video storage (best quality) is what makes this phone a great price.

 • I think this phone will be an Utter flop. Coz u will get phones with snapdragon 821 with very less price in a couple of months. Google nailed it wrong this time.

 • am really disappointed google... no sd card,no dual sim... poor design with high price... my galaxy s7 edge is better than google pixel xl...

 • Disappointed with the phone design and the price. Now Google wants to earn more money assuming that users will be paying premium price if the phone is made by Google . I think this is a wrong judgement by them. Regards Vasu

 • specs show its superab phone by a superab company. so far it sounds good more will reveal by users..

 • disappointed by a company like Google to launch this phone in 2016 end: where mobile manufacturers are supporting dual rear cameras where mobile manufacturers are supporting dual sims where mobile manufacturers are supporting memory card slots up to 2 TB where mobile manufacturers are supporting high capacity batteries Google is not innovative anymore but is only focusing on the money they can get out of people's pockets. I can also assure that Google has hired cheap staff from countries and they do not have enough vision and innovation capabilities. Google is not focusing on customer requirements. Its a shame, please do not launch this phone. delay it.. take more time and launch something better and competitive

 • dude if you like this crap and other people don't like , dosent mean than your the only one who has the right to have opinions,. if your mind works like this, then you have a problem with yourself .. yeah this phone sux since no removable battery, no radio things that people are aspecting from Google.... NOBODY WANTS ANOTHER IPHONE COPY

 • I am really surprised to read all opinions ..... first of all, people posting awesome comments (may be fake comments) about iphone but people posting negative comments (May be fake comments) about pixel phone .... It is really strange because..... people saying No removable battery in Pixel phone means phone is not good No removable battery in iphone but is good phone No SD Card slot means Pixel phone is not good No SD card slot but iphone is good phone No Infrared means Pixel phone is not good No infrared but iphone is good phone No Radio means Pixel is phone is not good No Radio but iphone is best phone iphone shape is awsome but similar shape of pixel phone is crap.. Pixel phone has 1440 x 2560 pixels (~534 ppi pixel density) but it is not good phone iphone has 750 x 1334 pixels (~326 ppi pixel density) but it is best phone Pixel phone using 4 GB RAM but it is not good phone iphone using 2GB RAM but it is best phone Pixel phone using 12MP camera but it is bad phone iphone using 12MP camera but it is best phone pixel using 8MP front camera but it is not good phone iphone using 7MP fromt camera but it is best phone pixel using v3.0, Type-C 1.0 reversible connector but it is not good phone iphone using v2.0, reversible connector but it is bad phone..... all above comments are really funny at all... all people who are commenting they still didnt use Pixel phone but they are barking like anything... its clearly seems that all Negative comments about Pixel phone are paid or fake....

 • Also no removable battery... double no thanks

 • To be honest its a crap

 • Rubbish phone with rubbish specs and rubbish prices. it's basically icrap 7 with its home button at the back. what's more, with such prices,i am better off with a note 7 with the added bonus of it exploding if i feel like it. this phone should be called the ipixel made and copied from crapple...*designed by htc* for google. finally without a sdcard slot, this phone is just another way for google to implement crapple money sucking gimmicks by forcing...*introducing* people to use their google ecosystem.

 • Agree - No Card slot No google phone.

 • they can give you infinite cloud storage and you still need to pay for your mobile data. and mobile data is not infinitely free. hence all the more reason to have sd card slot for storage and not pay and pay to access data that you have already paid for.

 • f-stop vallue should be less if you are providing 240 fps slomo camera., pixel size should be more so iso can me more , display ppi is expected more from this price group mobile as VR experience will not be good enough for this ppi vallue there will not be enough sharpness in VR. in next models we expect 60 fps for 4k, and 240fps or more for 1080p more , then n then only it will stand out from other...! look of mobile should be good as it is looking like samsungs lower models ... screen to body ratio is not good enough, screen should be large too

 • What the hell as per google news they said that google pixel xl price will be 37/40thousand in india but they are saling for 76k..

 • Google had been a company which tried to level the playing field so the little guy can have a taste of humanity's technological progress. By making this phone and pricing it so out of reach of even the middle class in the 2nd world, it is going in the direction of Apple. It's great, but it's out of our reach. This is where google and I part ways.

 • Really need the SD external storage

 • Why no IR Blaster.. Why??

 • Great phones. However they are two (2x) times the price they should be. SHAME on Google for becoming greedy shysters. They sell your data AND charge top dollar now. This is treason against all of us Nexus loyalists. Also the obsession to prevent full experience with rooted devices by Google is disgusting. Next phone may be time to switch.

 • they give free cloud storage for user though until 1TB

 • This has no memory card slot & is a major negative for this phone, other phones at this price have a 20mp camera

 • Google will never have SD cards. They made a cloud push very early on on the 3rd gen Nexus (IIRC). They won't go back.

 • Never said that. Please read again.

 • No SD card, No dual SIMM, no removeable battery, all are showstoppers!!!

 • The battery is a sore point for me. If Google is competing with Apple with this Pixel line-up, why make the battery non-removable? All that does is limit the life expectancy of the device that much more by tying the life cycle of the phone directly to the battery, so that when the battery starts deteriorating after it exceeds it's charge cycle limit and starts holding less and less charge the only thing you can do is replace the phone. I think I'll stick with LG, from what I can tell the V20 has the same specs with removable battery and a better camera, not to mention the quad-DAC's for better sound.

 • Its IP53 water resistant.

 • Tell me the last time samsung had an ir blaster the galaxy 6 and 6 edge small variants the plus and note 5 didnt the note 7 and 7 7 edge didnt. So by your logic ir blaster is something you only use at home.

 • I dont understand why there is no Wireless charging... I use that all the time.

 • Being a full fledge Google device is why I would get the Pixel over any Galaxy phones.

 • By the time they fix the note 7, they will have the 8 ready to go

 • THERE IS MEGA DIFFERENCES-- handsets made in china for APPLE etc and SAMSUNG manufacturing company -- LESSONS from fiasco of galaxy note 7 batteries from outsourced korean company ARE CLEAR SHARP ..stop the phoney marketting wars between apple and samsung --stop the hypes self inflations -- DROP the grossly over the top prices --CUSTOMERS are humble hardworking consumers ..please please .. SCIENCE not SPIN ..

 • Everything is okay. But SD card was important.

 • Apple itself a copy of BB.. right from UI to everything... dont say apple is good one... BB UI is THE BEST.

 • 1080p 30....60/120fps really...?

 • not amazing phone

 • iPhone are the best...tell me any processor better than A10 fusion...it beats all the phone in competition

 • Too much costly my phone s7 edge has more features than this...

 • No, it does not come with a SDCard slot

 • Think I'll wait for the note 7, pixel is a nice looking phone and not a bad spec but it still doesn't touch the note 7

 • Lens and sensors made by Sony.A guarantee of quality.

 • To much expensive

 • If it is american product it is very expensive. Why?Also samsung is very expensive nowadays. Before I remember it is not like this. I hate over priced products.

 • Body to screen ratio should be increased atleast to 76% or more....that will be impressive.

 • It's to much cost then note7 because note 7 have lot of features it's have only Google assistance note 7 is better than Google pixel xl I love note 7

 • Big ass bezels, but on screen buttons. Good design job google. Kappa

 • At the same time, Apple has yet to make a phone with at least 70% screen to body ratio.

 • Why wait?? :) You Apple fan boys are all the rage but just how many Iphones have gone up in smoke so far??

 • Why you don't add a microsd card slot, google?! WHY?

 • nice specs but it looks like an android version of the iPhone plus for me this phone won't succeed

 • Does this come with an SD slot

 • google pixel xl -- specs lot lower than illfated samsung galaxy note 7 ..pleaae compare tech nd functions nd costs ..samsung are TOPS ..IPHONE 7 no bees knees either .. seems clock is stuck a 5.5 inches ..ought to have been 6.5 inches including samsung note 7 ..ram should be at least 6gb .. internal memory 32gb on google pixel xl ==dark ages --not 2016..GGOGLE -" are you serious .."

 • As boring as the iphone. No dual sim. No sd card. No ir blaster. Chunky body that doesn't translate to marathon battery life. Overkill screen resolution that doesn't serve any purpose other than giving a marginally better VR experience that nobody is going to bother after a few nauseating experiences or after the novelty fades. Google assistant? You only talk to your phone at home or when driving unless you want to look silly in public talking loudly to a phone. For this, get an Amazon echo or Google's copycat version. And the price? Forget it. You can have the same or better specs and features at half the price elsewhere. Try oneplus or xiaomi or oppo or vivo. So what is the target market of this phone? Iphone switchers? Nope. Samsung flagship users? Nope. Nexus owners? Yes, but only a very small percentage as most Nexus owners value price:performance over prestige. In short, this phone is going to flop big time unless it captures if not all, at least most of the features android enthusiasts want in an android phone. High on the list for many android users aside from good camera and video (given) are sd card support, removable or large 4000mAh+ batteries, water resistance, ir blaster, wireless and/or fast charging, dual sim support, slimport or mhl support, option for larger (6.0"-6.8") screen sizes.

 • Not only lower bezel, but also upper one. I don't het an idea of such a bezels in 2016. Why isn't it obsolete? Why isn't it outdated? And still 71% s2b ratio, still better than iPhone ;/

 • lost it at harambe glass LOL

 • Watch this wannabe iPhone drop in price just like the Nexus 6 which went from $650 to $250 in 1 year.

 • I was looking forward getting rid of my Samsung and buying the new Nexus phone. Then this happens... Now, I am not sure what I am going to do. Don't think I will be buying this thing, but I want a phone that gets the new OS within a reasonable time frame (not 2 years like AT&T Samsungs do). What to do, what to do?!...

 • Note series is Better anytime !!!

 • Lol nice joke, like, didnt the note 7 survive 50 face drops? While iphone 7 could survive just 6-7 drops. Also people uses screen protectors on their 1000$ devices obviously. Getting screen shattered is more fragilr and wayy more painful, people would prefer harambe glass 5 in any day.

 • look at that lower bezel...make me lol

 • Yet it's overpriced....

 • we don't care, if it's cool, we buy. We don't care who copies who.

 • nice try google but apple is getting even more customers from what yous are doing with your new pixel lol. A lot of things missing in this pixel phone besides i've always been an apple fan and will die an apple fan!

 • - no wireless charging, - no water resistance - no sd card support - no fm radio - no IR blaster and indicator led??? - no AOD display !!??!!??!?!?!??!?!?!?! - no knock to wake/sleep feature

 • absolutely true

 • Is this Google iPhone?

 • Hope better than Samsung and could be a counterpart of Android to Iphones. Specs wise I can say.

 • no wireless charging &no water resistant ? :( , next time

 • Google Pixel and Pixel XL it looks like a iPhone 6, 6plus.

 • I can't do it. I've already compromised to a 5.7" screen with the Nexus 6P (from a Galaxy Mega 2 and a Sony Z Ultra Google Play Edition prior). I can't do anything less than that! Why are American device screens getting smaller? And why does anything above 5.7" have to be relegated to 1080p here in the States? Please let this trend die! A 3450 mAh battery? No OIS? Huge chin bezel, yet no capacitive buttons? What the hell, Google. What the hell. *pass*

 • it is shame... why everybody copy apple design. there is no one in google to make a different design.?

 • Yes You are right

 • RIP pixel, very ugly design and color, expensive price tag.if i go for android, oppo, meizu,Le or huawei.

 • It seems this is apple year.though I like iOS,I believe there should be competition.

 • Ugliest design.with N7 exploding and pixel super flop,Apple will gain.

 • Shouldn't the colours be Quite Black and Very Silver?

 • Same problem like other HTC devices two big bars this phone looks to big display should be edge to edge not everyone interested in boom sound speakers . This gonna be big flop for Google .

 • You can say whatever you want about EIS,OIS still better and that is why: "Main advantage of OIS is that there is no image degradation as necessary compensations are made before optical signal is fed to the CCD. But the hardware for mechanical motion of lenses buts a strain on your battery backup and also adds to the weight of the device. EIS has become quite popular these days because of they are light and less expensive and with improvement in algorithms used for stabilization image degradation is minimal. But at low resolutions and in poor lighting conditions, you might see significant degradation. With consumer electronic devices which don’t have a very high resolution , like your Smartphone’s or low resolution Camcorders, OIS is more effective technique and also out performs EIS in dimly lit areas." • Google actually underclocked it to 2.15 from the stock 2.4, info is correct

 • It's kind of expensive I think I'll pass

 • If I'm gonna spend that much on an android I will rather spend it on a Samsung. Huge Risk if they want do to compete on premium.

 • @sa11oum 4gb Ram < 2gb Ram OLED 1440 x 2560 pixels (~534 ppi) > LED 750 x 1334 pixels (~326 ppi pixel density) 3450 mAh battery > 1960 mAh battery Gorilla Glass 4 > Ion-strengthened glass front cam 8mp > 7mp Am I missing something here?

 • No wireless charging??? I would have traded the headphone jack for wireless charging capability & front facing speakers.

 • Uh, iCloud also has unlimited photos.. and the battery life on the iPhone Plus trumps any Android. And there's a 256GB option. Shut up? Thanks.

 • No fm radio recording ? Not enough for buying it.

 • I am going to pass on this one. I don't understand how they can make a phone with so many features missing. The battery is not much different from Nexus 6. No SD card? and very expensive. Screen smaller than nexus 6.

 • Apple is now laughing their way to the bank with all the movers and switchers coming their way. Way to go Google

 • No removable battery? No SD card slot? No deal!

 • When Google launches any product, 100% sure it will be the different from other Android Phones. Waiting for price..

 • Guys, looks like the frequency range of the SN821 is given wrong in this page. I was expecting it to be around 2.4 GHz.

 • But eventually they will market the product by price if not effort less.

 • Very True, but! 1080p for 5' is enough

 • Correct, %100 True

 • this is a great disappointment. These devices would be nice, if: made by HUAWEI, full metal body (it looks cheap plastic), SD Card slot, too, verry much expensive. So hands away from thiese Pixels. Only andvantages is the Nougat 7.1, nothing more.

 • f/1.8 Aperture, Optical Image Stabilization, Six Element Lens, Panorama (Upto 63 MP), Sapphire Crystal Lens Cover, Backside Illumination Sensor, Hybrid IR Filter, Autofocus with Focus Pixels, Tap to Focus with Focus Pixels, Live Photos with Stabilization, Wide Color Capture for Photos and Live Photos, Improved Local Tone Mapping, Body and Face Detection, Exposure Control, Noise Reduction, Auto HDR for Photos, Auto Image Stabilization, Burst Mode, Timer Mode, Photo Geotagging, Time Lapse Video with Stabilization, Cinematic Video Stabilization (1080p and 720p), Continuous Auto Focus Video, Take 8 MP Still Photos While Recording 4K Video, Playback Zoom, Video Geotagging Is it possible for this pixel xl to have this features?

 • Byte please, No SD slot but has Unlimeted + Free + Support High Res photo/video and easy to share media to other flatform. Non removable battery but has Quick Charge 3.0 + bigger battery.

 • Google are cute, they think they can sell this for an iPhone's price. At least add OIS and water resistance. or stereo speakers. Super disappointed.

 • Way too much expensive. Samsung can fix such a price and sell them in the market. But guess what s7 edge is less expensive than that. Now u may argue it has SD821. How much of a difference does it make over SD820? Oneplus3 has SD820 and still is crazy fast. So if google thinks just by having SD821 and not having the best camera, google can sell a phone at $750 or $850.....big mistake.

 • I love Google and Android but there's no way I upgrade from my MotoXPE to this phone.... No SD, no dual front speakers and a 5.5 screen only... Send me a msg next year for a real phone and real priceyhats not done HTC A9 ripoff... Laterz

 • Google made the consumers fool. Hefty price tag, poor specs Vis-a-Vis other smart phones like Samsung, Moto and many more.

 • Please fire the person that thought about throwing Nexus Line and starting Pixel line.. this looks like cheap chinese phone. its like Google went backward on the phones..

 • I'll go for MI5S then this

 • Doesn't have OIS. Phase Detection is Unreliable.

 • Because google got out of cheap and pixel is now premium shit

 • looks like a 2012 phone. very boring

 • google guy came into my work i played with the phone for a bit feels like a refreshed version of the nexus 6p which i own now ...the one thing i do like is the camera the camera on it works really well keen to see it on launch day

 • google guy came into my work

 • what a waste on the bottom bezel.. ughh most of the comments are really negative

 • How much is this phone? and is this a good phone? need feedbacks about this one

 • Awesome phone

 • No micro-SD slot? Non-removable battery (quick charge is nothing on swapping batteries on the go)? No waterproofing (after not having a removable battery)? No depth-sensing camera? Seriously. Why can't Google make the perfect phone after all this time? Can anyone?

 • Good looking phone. attractive specs. kinda expensive. I return my note 7and I got s7edge

 • Very expensive Very bad design Very big bazel No wireless charging No SD card Not water proof Not dual camera No front flash avaliable No 3D touch Not full body glass or aluminum No infrared No modules What do you have new only Processor and System?

 • It has the presence of a Metro PCS starter phone.

 • No memory expansion slot? Samsung and Motorola brought back the micro SD card slot after having learned it's what consumers want.

 • No OIS No front facing stereo speakers

 • Big bezel No SD card Not waterproof No wireless charging IPhone xerox copy 1080 p resolution for 5' model No 64gb model Hefty price tag Sorry.. You can't make me buy it this time.. All the best..

 • No removable battery and no sd card = no purchase

 • Bloody hell costs £800 and I am still not convinced with google graphics. Does not feel like they made it worth every penny. Will stay with Samsung

 • If HTC can get dual front firing speakers and Camera right... Pixel XL will be a beast. It has everything with SD621 and 3450mAH Battery and 128GB internal storage. Happy to switch to Pixel :)

 • Why the price gouge? My Nexus 6p 128gb wasn't that expensive.

 • no qi charge? why?

 • Ordered up a second 6P for the wife after the launch was over. I was planning on getting the pixel and handing off the 6P but it just doesn't do it for me.

 • WHY?! I was Almost excited about this phone.......BUT WHY?!?!?! Why is google so afraid of storage slots? my very first Smart phone (the LG p690b doesn't count) was the nexus 4....which i had for about a year until i switched to the Optimus G (e970) specifically because it had expandable memory (and was LG, which for whatever reason i have always owned LG ever since my silver flip) I passed on the Nexus 5 and grabbed a G3 (which i still use) I just bought a zenfone2 4/64gb (fix n flip unless i like) for $98....was seriously considering a V10 specifically because of A.specs B.Storage C. LG (never buy new as in the case of v10 value deprecation of 70% in a year) I will pass again on your phone google (my G3 has 160gb with 140gb in use)

 • i agree with your bezel comment. looks huge.

 • The phone is nothing new. It's worse than the 6P, besides the CPU and RAM upgrade. Goodbye front speakers, hello more useless glass.

 • Looks like a nexus 6p with a tiny upgrade, I guess i'm sticking with my nexus 6p.

 • Unfortunately I don't think I'll be going for the Pixel devices. There is NO reason for the bezel on top and especially on the bottom to be so huge. There are no capacative buttons so why the huge bezel? Visually unappealing and others have already pointed out the other issues I have with this phone. Sorry Google, not buying it.

 • At least we have a choice between other manufactures that do have removable batteries and SD slots. Over 50 Android phone manufactures. Apple.. one.

 • Design wise, looks like the $50 phones out there, ugly to the max! Specs wise, forgivable except one basic, OIS which common for latest phones. Another thing, the huge top and bottom bezels I wonder what is the purpose if they any at all???

 • Will the Pixel and Pixel XL LTE B1,2,3,4,5,7,12,13,17,20,28,29 Work With Wind Mobile Canada's Upcoming LTE Band 66? If not I can not buy the Google Pixel because I am not leaving Wind Mobile because I have a really good plan, $39 a month with 5Gs data in both Canada & US, Unlimited Text and Talking in both Canada & USA including Hawaii, Alaska, US Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. If I have to I will buy the LG V20 when it comes out because it works with Wind Mobile's LTE Band 66 which is coming out in December 2016/January 2017.

 • Apple: NO SD, Non removable battery, literally worse than Hitler Google : NO SD, Non removable battery, not that bad LMFAO the fanboys double standard

 • You can see a lot of advertisements all over the internet in which it's being talked about how much improved phones Google released these years whilst they actually removed stereo speakers. Optical image stabilization still didn't find its way in these phones as didn't a bigger capacity battery whilst the price was definitely increased.

 • the has very good specifications but the look...ugh, it's ugly, looks like a lowest quality china-made device.

 • There is no mention of Optical image stabilization in video recording. If this is not good then also the phone is medicore.

 • Bottom bazzels r to big and unused....what a shame

 • £720 for the base Pixel XL 5,5 inch screen version, omg, think I'll stick with my HTC 10 which is just as fast but no where near as expensive as the Pixel XL.

 • Freak No wireless charging in Nexus Pixel, Only Nexus 6 has in build witless charging , No 6" screen.

 • It's 2k resolution for the display

 • Looks promising... only worried about the price.

 • I still don't get it. Does it have a card slot or not? All the people saying it doesn't, can you provide a source?

 • if there any difference of this phone with nexus 6p its the RAM and the name ad ofcourse the price

 • yeah despite the good specs, I too think it's a bit overpriced

 • judging from the specs this might actually compete with the iPhone 7, just hope it won't disappoint !!!!

 • No microsd card slot and removable back is heart breaking for me. Anyway that was not expected seeing market trend these days. But price is a serious let down.

 • Garbage. Non-removable battery = NO SALE.

 • Now the Pixel is out I am not buying at that price. Will get something else till Nokia makes an a announcement.

 • I used all nexus phone and samsung phones. I will stick to samsung phones. Google does not know what they are doing. Look at nexus 6 story.

 • Diffrence between made and built. Apple phones are made by Apple, built by Foxconn.

 • Blue, silver & black! only on the back!? & White's color on front! In every three colors!? Not good even with sd card slot.

 • not 4k, 2k like s7

 • specs ? Java : no ??? Really ?? 99% of android and its apps are in java .............................................................

 • No, the Pixel is not Verizon exclusive. You can also get it through Google with payment options as well. Also, if you get it through Google Fi, you're getting more cell services than just a single one.

 • says up to 256bg micro sd

 • if it really has SD card slot, I buy it..

 • Finally, a good looking Google device!

 • So Verizon will be the exclusive US carrier. Does that mean the VSZ Pixels will be missing bands for AT&T , Sprint and T-Mobile US? Also will the "unlocked" version support Verizon's Band 13 and CDMA (VZW can't be locked based on Band 13 usage)?

 • really?! have sd card or what?!

 • Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 has H.265 capabilities, so shouldn't this?

 • Can GSMARENA confirm if this phone have sd card or not? If dont have update spec list.

 • microSD is listed above

 • Unfortunately not

 • Please update your posting to remove the MicroSD slot. The pixels don't have slots unfortunately.

 • omg google is giving expandable slot......or its an mistake by gsmarena

 • Its sick af but I am happy with my s7

 • None of the Nexus phones had SD slots so I doubt they have it, but hey, it isn't a Nexu, so wwe'll see

 • It will have OIS, but 4k display, that's funny

 • Blue back and white front, ugh! That's ugly. Give me an all black G4, any day.

 • No, it was HTC, they even admitted it I heard. Apparently The Verge got to see it because they already have pictures of it.

 • Micro SD up to 256 GB !? Unbelievable ! Google & SD card !? SD card slot is good reason for thinking about {Pixel XL}

 • Its looks like an iPhone,

 • Water resistant?

 • pixel size matters more than aperture, which affect high ISO performance, bigger sensor gives longer focal length(to get the equivalent 27mm), which is more significant than F stop in the formula of depth of field.

 • i agree

 • Is it from HTC though? I feel like its Goole made 100% at least that's how they're teasing it

 • The best thing is that the phone has a partnership with HTC

 • need the bit of audio 24/32??

 • google sellin phone, not camera.

 • >Still sticking to F 2.0 ?? >Both Camera should Deliever atleast 1.7 or even larger apeture Even Apple Came up with it .. >Low light photography is more important for Premium phone cameras . >OIS + EIS should be default in both models >My Personal opinion Camera Pixels could have Boosted up As the name implies and the display should be at its best . >It would be great if it comes with a 4k display for the higher variant. The fingerprint sensor is still located at the back so the front firing Speakers would be great to be retained.

 • If you feel this is a trash, just don't buy it. You don't deserve it.

 • haha dont joke.nexus(pixel) phones are the best.so what if it does not have dual front facing speakers.lots of phone out there dont have that also.atleast they have put micro sd slot which is superb and just what nexus phones were missing

 • OIS??????......

 • This phone is trash, everything is same and they remove the dual speakers

 • to thick

 • yessss it has microsd

 • pretty awesome specs... when it will be launched in india?? or any other way to get this pre-order??? please suggest....

 • Pretty much all modern AMOLED touch screens are Super AMOLED now, it pretty much goes without saying. That tech's been around since the Galaxy SIII. A flagship phone like this would certainly be Super AMOLED.

 • I just have to say this u guys say nexus never have sd are u dumm the first version of nexus haloo made by htc did have and sd slot and i hope this one will have one also simce its htc..i like htc always samsung is ok not the best sony is ok apple is a peace of garbage for dum ppl where ever u go u see iphone everywhere like there is no other brand phone have i phone once and wold never buy one again.. lg is a good phone to..but lets stay in pixel topic some ppl say the design is crappy to my opinion its a nice piece of hardware and will buy it any day.. specification is good for nexus line up even thou its called pixel now. Why would u want 6 gb of ram are u guys miximg music or run 100 apps at once because 6 gig wont help u.. this is stock android it doesn't take a lot of ram like stupid samsung or any other phone that use their owm stupid launchers thats why they need more ram to run it over the sistem so for the ppl that love this device buy it because i will for sure the day it on google store.. peace out ppl

 • cuz the GG5 Glass that the note 7 uses scratches easy so they'd rather use the reliable GG4 its stronger

 • So, how is this diferent from any other android flagship phone? Looks like xiaomi 5s

 • This cellphone is coming to for Sprint?

 • I believe it is Super AMOLED. The 6P uses the display from the Note 4, although the Note 4 display was Super AMOLED, the 6P display was labeled just AMOLED. This phone will be using a Samsung-made display. The name Super AMOLED is reserved for Galaxy phones.

 • I kno, but as long as it's amoled I'm ok.

 • It came from the latest leak, specs seem reliable, except for the SD card slot.

 • I prefer a latest technology. Not just for a number.

 • Where did you get the info that the Pixel XL will have a microsd slot available?

 • Because GG5 is pos that can be easily scratched by almost anything. you all are just victims of marketing who chase meaningless numbers

 • The price tag so expensive but why still use Gorilla Glass 4.

 • Super AMOLED is the best screen in market. And better and LCD iphone7

 • Because of no image stabilization! Hopefully it will be there for this phone

 • As the bezels are big could've used capacitive buttons rather than on screen buttons. Like htc 10 made a change over m9

 • Sony and Google do not have a good relationship, unfortunately.

 • Indeed, I have a galaxy s7 edge and it's defective, even though I can replace it, I'm not feeling it. The Pixel XL is where I'm going. If it holds true that Nokia is releasing a flagship Android phone, I could be making a mistake.

 • Exactly, thank you

 • sony should make nexus(pixel) phones for google

 • cant wait till october 4th

 • Liking everything but the design its too simple and too subtle other than that its good

 • Everyone needs to chill out. The display is AMOLED, it has a Snapdragon 821, and it's IP53 (Splash/Rain Resistant) not as good as 1P68, but It's better than nothing. The Pixel/Pixel XL will be the first Daydream compatible phones.

 • These things always look different in real life. Not long till now till event and looking forward to it. This Andromada thing is interesting too. I thought this was the end of this years releases and I can now choose a new phone but Nokia has now got something brewing.

 • And you don't know about the camera, you fool. This phone hasn't even been announced yet. The Nexus 6p had an amazing camera but it sucked at video

 • That's what was said about the Nexus 6p

 • Oh, you're so ignorant. It's not like your note 7 has good speakers at all.

 • 1. The phone hasn't even been released yet, these are unofficial specs. 2. No nexus phones have SD card

 • Dude, who cares if it's super AMOLED, those are onlyreserved for Samsung phones and a few other phones.

 • true. I think ill just stick with my galaxy s7

 • I guess No Super AMOLED Display 😡

 • Was hoping for SD821, so this is a disappointment again. Google is always using leftover SoC, no expansion card, no water resistance. WTH? There is no point in buying this over premium phones that we have 6 months ago.

 • We are trying to buy a cell phone not the Bose stereo systems

 • the iphone 7 (plus) has one front facing speaker in the eapiece

 • There is only one front facing speaker, not both

 • You sure about iPhone 7/Plus that it don't have front facing speakers? Probably you've missed out its announcement. FYI, Apple integrated the stereo speakers on iPhone earpiece where it can be use during playing audios via speakers.

 • The iPhone 7/7 Plus and the Galaxy S7/Edge/Note don't have front facing speakers either. The Galaxies don't even have stereo speakers. In fact the audio that comes out of those things is pretty bad for a phone of that price. This phones has stereo speakers, not front facing but at least there is two. So it already beat the Galaxies in the audio department. Whether the speakers on the Pixel XL will be better than the iPhone 7/7 Plus is up for time to decide. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that they will sound better, considering that this phone is manufactured by HTC, the king of smartphone audio. In what way is the camera not up to code? On paper this sounds like a pretty good camera. 1.55 um, and a 1.8 aperture sounds amazing for low light shots. The 6P is still has one of the best cameras for low light and pictures in general, regardless of how the lighting is. This is a successor to that. I guarantee you that this camera will definitely compete.

 • and AGAIN where is the micro SD .......

 • This phone will flop. A colossal failure. It does not have dual front facing speakers. It does not have the camera abilities of iPhone 7 or Samsung Galaxy/Note units going back to generation 6! What is the flipping point of this phone? Android updates come out sooner? That's what the premium cost is for? Absurd. I will wait for the Unlocked (no bloatware) Samsung Note 7 to come out early next year. Enough of this waiting only to get severely disappointed in Google failures.

 • Pretty boring, dull looking design. Plain to the point of ugly.

 • why ? why would you cancel the nexus line up after making a phone like the nexus 6P ? ? ?

 • Note7 killer, period.

 • Nexus line never had and never will have it.

 • As much as i hope to see that,i don't think it'll actually happen.Google just don't do that.

 • I need a nexus phone with the latest available specs not last year's specs and a bigger battery at least make it closer to 4000 mah.Even one plus 3 have 6 gigs of ram.I wonder, when will Google make this happen?

 • made by HTC meaning Apple is behind this

 • Hope they launch it at somewhat affordable price, else it will difficult to sale in this overcrowded smartphone market. Hoping to see SD821 with 6GB

 • Welcome to 2010 and the release of the Nexus one

 • Nexus 6p has no mirror link, e explain how I'm using Android auto

 • I ll keep my Nexus 6. Still no mirrorlink? How am I suppose to us Android Auto?

 • No external slot?....pfffttt...

 • The phones will actually be manufactured by HTC

 • This is made by LG...

 • I hope u OEMs read this. I will never by phones from top manufacturers again. I've been waiting for this phone for a long time now. No more fragmentation. Now u know why i will not buy your phones in future. Its your fault that u doesnt give a sh.. about updates and that it takes to long time. Finally whole new phone from google with speedy updates.

 • It will have Snapdragon 821 not 820

 • My next phone sure!!! Migrating from A8

 • Maybe it does have OIS, it's not the confirmed list yet!

 • NO OIS???

 • Price matters & its price is high......

 • In spite of lesser specs, ram, Mc, internals, still they survive with much higher prices! That's cause Brand Name counts, it's made its reputation over time. Even Chinese still can't spell them, have given better Cpu, Gpu and cost half, steel body, still some day going give tough times, wipe them out lke Nokia,BB, Away!

 • Best Smartphone Ever!!

 • Only 5.5"... They could release a 3rd variant for us hoping to replace old Nexus 6's with at least 6"-phone. :/ At least there are other options, but no direct updates from Google...

 • Google still not doing memory card slots, while Chinese makers are. Competition offers 256GB flash (UFS 2.0) AND a card slot. with 6GB RAM Google gives smaller battery, no card slot, less RAM, less flash memory and higher price. Utter, complete fail.

 • Probably at 3450 mAh.

 • Non-removable

 • Seems to be my next phone once the price drop to around 350€.

 • Yes, this is confirmed

 • What about battery?

 • Rumors suggest AMOLED on both Pixel X and XL

 • Still no micro sd card Google? :/ I'd rather get the one plus 3 or 4 when it comes out next year.. It is (will be) cheaper. Camera won't be as good.. But for the 200$ price point difference, I'll settle with the op3. And in the mean time, I will be rocking with my axon 7. 😁😁😁&#128513;😁

 • Lets hope the pixel XL has an oled screen.

 • what about battery?

 • As long as it has a dual antenna I'm sold.

 • The best smartphone of the year

 • Most sites say it will come with a snapdragon 821.

 • My next phone

 • It's still not confirmed that it will run the Snapdragon 821. Most of the benchmark reports shows 820. I am really hoping for 821

 • If you look up the specs of the Snapdragon 821 chip, you will see the true specs of the Google Pixel XL.

 • Think you need to suck on a chill pill....the specs are based on rumours and even if they are correct, this will still be a sweet phone, zero lag, quick updates and zero bloat. Nexus, soon to be Pixel is not about winning design race, that is for other OEMs a bit like the iPhone not the prettiest but the best....

 • it's ois not ios

 • You misread that

 • My next phone

 • But but but... Exp. announcement 2015, October ;-)

 • Expected announcement 2015, October.... bit late

 • Behind seen using a little glass too

 • non-removable battery so f.uck it.Garbage! Other specs are not important if battery is non-removable!

 • I think you meant to write, October '2016', and not 2015, as expected announcement.

 • 6P has USB-C 2.0, there is no such thing as 2.1. The Pixels will definitley have USB-C 3.1.

 • surely u didn't think before typing . . . type c

 • USB 1.0? Surely wrong. Nexus 6P has USB-C 2.1.

 • You heathen pixel count is not that important. What is important is sensor size, pixel size and aperture

 • Design-wise the Nexi have been some of the most iconic phones of the smartphone era,eg the Nexus 5 and the 6p. Of course as Italians say, design is a matter of taste. IMHO my smartphone ought to have 3 main characteristics. 1.ZERO LAG regardless of its processor's power. 2 STRONG or at least dependable battery life with rapid charging. 3 A good ALL-AROUND camera. Only the Nexus and the iPhone have come close to that in the recent years.

 • What do you think about this vs One Plus 3?

 • People have to remember that this phone doesn't officially launch until October. These are a speculations and rumours

 • Single sim card slot's better, I guess! ...

 • To bad there are no front facing speaker.. guess ill have to go for the P6

 • i hope they support dual sim :D

 • Those data are based on rumors which are not that many, especially for the camera specs.

 • this is good

 • no ois with price same as iphone 7..and many android below the price range has ois.. good luck pixie..

 • its all about the pixels baby, or something :P oudated hw, so not my next phone. and not even with a battery, even worse.

 • not bad but hope they release it with dual sim version for the first time

 • 4 HOURS screen on time ,two day battery life in NOUGAT with normal use ,the BEST LOW LIGHT photos on the market up to now, zero lag in everyday use,the first to get the latest updates for nearly 3 years. Only Xiaomi with its' MIUI tempts me as an option for everyday use but my heart will always be with the Nexus..

 • Nexus has always been a joke too. Mediocre (At best) at everything. No sd, mediocre and non-removable battery, mediocre sound, average camera and display.

 • I wish they make their own processor I see c.s.d began to fall after sd810

 • I guess the black shiny thing surrounding the fingerprint scanner in the back will be used for some gesture controls....;)

 • Nexus was a powerful name, Pixel is comic, pixy pixy dolittle nursery rhyme. Flat facing half blackened, 650+ $ cell. GOOGLE gone nuts. Unless they buy HTC now!

 • the phone design look like a lenovo phone few years ago. come on, we need a good look phone with good body to screen ratio

 • Pixel XL is the most stupid/pathetic phone we ever seen and here is why: Not really big as is should XL > 6'inch No newest Snapdragon 821 No front speakers No IOS No SDcard slot No removable battery People gone dislike it for sure mark my words.

 • no card slot forget it

 • no ois??? people gonna hate the camera without ois.. plus pixel sounds stupid.

 • Nothing improved except the processor and where are the dual front facing speakers?!!?

 • GSMArena please change specs, Donald Ruddock from Android Police caught sailfish having sd821, and he says that we should ignore people saying it will have sd820. BOTH VERSIONS = SD821

 • Google Pixel XL : Specs : Great Software, I guess very optimized because that's"Pure, Virgin & Made by Google" But! Design, look at to GP XL! Looks like Doll Vanilla Ice cream with black cacao! I need to Special design by Great Software Monster {google

 • Google Pixel sounds stupid. #TeamNexus

 • Why no ois?

 • Yep. Yet another iPhone wannabe. Just what we needed. It's not like 99% of all the phones are already crippled, shiny toys/fashionphones. So we need more, right?

 • This crap of a smartphone is ugly as hell and probably overpriced shit!

 • Design 4everLost like SD card slot :| Snap 821! Is Another lost ...
