  • 5.1 inch display Samsung S7 is at 142.4mm height. The extra 3.7mm (practically nothing) difference has to be mostly because of the metal frame on the bottom. Nothing to complain especially since the phone reviews all praise its built and comfort in hands.

  • The length of this phone, 146.1 mm, is a deal killer for me. The whole point of a 5 inch phone is to have something compact. The Xiaomi Redmi 3 series, for example, is only 139.3 mm long, an almost 7 mm difference. I don't care how good the phone is, I am keen on 5 inch phones that are as compact as possible. Actually the same applies to any size phone, the aim should be for minimal bezels on the sides as well as top and bottom. It doesn't have to be bezel-free, that's going too far.

  • This phone is very fantastic please huawei do not waste time bring honor magic 2 as soon as possible with 5'5 inches screen display plus 4000 mAh battery with all other specs intact or even improved. The 5'5 should almost be the same height as the 5.09. I mean don't waste space top and down of the front of the phone. That is why I love Mate series, you don't waste space up and down of the front, also at side and side too.

  • Screen to body ratio is not best because of the metal frame that projects out from the bottom where everything USB-C, headphone jack, dual sim tray, and speaker, microphone are all held together,

  • Oh after going through the user reviews I have realized that some people are thinking the phone is too big because it is 5.09 inches of screen display. No please this means that it is 5'1 inches rather, quite small or normal size. It is not 5'9 inches like the Mate 9. How ever I wish there is another variant of 5'5 inches of display.

  • At a 5.09 inches of screen means it's 5'1 inches. So the 2900 of mAh battery is not bad but I still hope it could have been 3300 mAh because of the high ppi of 577 QHD. Very high ppi drains battery and that is why Huawei maintained the FHD display up till now. The higher the ppi the better the screen. So I like this phone especially the fastest charging system it has. When the battery drains up completely you can charge it full in just 40 minutes. It's outrageously incredible. The Times of charging phone for 3 hours is really passing away with Huawei. Well done.

  • Wow! This phone is beautiful, something very different from the normal designs, wow! Huawei's innovative skills at work. The only regret I have of this phone is the no SD card slot thing. How ever am very glad it's otg supported. I can transfer or download my videos to my dual otg pendrive from this phone. Good one there. All your premium phones should be otg supported. I wish you will one day do a tablet with CD ROM so that I will not have the need of laptop at all. HUAWEI 2016 HAS BEEN YOUR YEAR, WELL DONE AND KEEP IT UP.

  • Honor Magic uses a new variant of EMUI rom. Its has differences and will continue to be developed differently and youth centric as well as innovative, compared to standard EMUI for generic users. And yes ofcourse it will be updated to Android 7.0

  • EMUI 5.0 is perfectly fine and is one of the best UI's out there right now.

  • Your complaints are irrelevant. 1) OS is not that old, and will be updated to 7.0 Nougat. 2) Chipset is the same as on the Honor 8, and it's pretty fast. 3) You didn't even try the phone, so you don't know if the battery life sucks. 4) Apparently, you know nothing about cameras, as not only the pixels count. A 12 MP camera can be better than a 20 MP camera. (Already happens in phones) 5) Price is ok, as it is a high-end phone with a futuristic and innovative design. Anything else, buddy?

  • huawei honor magic. we cannot able to say if we don't try this one out ? however. huawei ? -_- common ? magic it says eyy ? where is the magic of this one ? disadvantage. 1. old os version. 2. slow chipset 3. battery life sucks. 4. no memory card slot 5. camera must 20mp not 12 5. the price was really high. the only advantage of this one is the fast charging capacity which is 90% with 30 minutes charging and also it will be released by the 25th of december. people have already used thier money for the christmass eve preparation so there have no enough money to buy this phone anymore with really high price

  • Phone is goog but its too large. And have problem of carrying with or put in pockets. Huawei should make 2 sizes of same model like iphone. Because people can buy according to their choice. If some people like large phones but most of the people like small size phones. That is 4.7" or 5". Huawei should make dual phones. Because most people use 2 sims instead of 1.   • Don't even think of Xiaomi, that shit brand will be listed in top 10 worst brands ever in earth. Mi mix seems super strong as long as you don't drop it. Even a drop from 2.5 ft height will kill it's display and your hard earned money. Mi tells us it has ceramic glass all around which doesn't scratch but it never tells us that it breaks or shatters so easily by the drop because ceramic is an amphoteric solid which is just like mirror, a single pointed Nick can shatter the whole mirror. Similarly, mi mix shatters by simple pointed drop while others usually not. Another reason is it don't have bezels for extra protection. Mi mix is a black spot in tech history. It's a shame dude. It's one of the most delicate shit ever in the world.

  • 0% to 90% in 30 minutes. But what they don't tell you is that it might take over 1 hour to charge from 90% to 100%. In most case, that is how most smartphone is these day. Ever wonder why many smartphone advertise their charging capability in certain percentage only. For example, 60% in 30minutes, 50% in 30minutes, 83% in 30 minutes. They always choose the fastest time for a phone to get charge. They never count the throttle charging time(slow charging to get to 100%). Ever noticed no phone ever advertise how much time to charge to 100%. they will never write " 100% in xx minutes". Because overall charging time always, seriously always over 1-2 hour.

One thing is kind of sad, the battery. 2900mAh seems a bit thin given the fact that power efficiency isn't the strong point of Kirin hardware. The big question will be the price. It's very unclear how Honor is positioned. Is it a value sub-brand of Huawei or isn't it. Not clear at all depending on the market you're in (Europe, Asia...). I think that Huawei doesn't know it either...
