HTC 10 evo - User Reviews

  • Hi I used HTC phones from years. My last was GENUINE! Htc 10 Evo. I had this phone almost 2 years. Works gr8 at all. So I bought second one from ebay. And is big problem, on the market is l00000000t of fake HTC phones. So second one I`ve had 3 months, and screen etc issues. Now U11 U12 its not for me anymore. Sorry HTC.

  • It was a mistake, screen blackout became permanent, no maintenance is available in our area or near it, after only one month of usage it belonged to the garbage :(

  • I absolutely DON'T recommend buying this phone. I've used this phone about a year now and i can tell you this : 1- terrible battery. I charge my phone 4 times a day. 2- performance is week AF SD810 is a dead processor like even the WhatsApp lags a lot. 3- no headphone jack but you can get with the phone amazing earbuds. 4- the camera is not that great. 1080p video recording more like 240p only 4k is slightly better but it takes a lot of storage. 5- Ofcourse i didn't get any updates what so ever so im still at 7.0. 6- 32/3 GB is no more enough in today's smartphones. overall i don't recommend this phone, go for these companies (Xiaomi, Samsung, Huawei).

  • Yup i recomend it outstansing phone i have ever use. Awesome battery back up

  • HTC 10 Evo has a weird software glitch, aftdespite er a restart the screen remains off despite every indication it is on. This BS and no software updates makes this my single biggest regret in a phone purchase.

  • Thanks HTC for the awful experience i had with this phone. It was repaired Twice till now, 1st Screen was replaced because of Blackout without a reason. 2nd Screen & Board replaced a few days ago. Really i never had such headache even from Chinese phones. DON'T BUY IT AT ALL!!!!

  • Plz dnt buy this phone.... My 10 evo boot IC nd motherboard failed.... Coz of playing pubg... Worst phond ever buyed in my life.... No update.... Even front camera is shitt.... Nd rear too... Htc 10 evo is Totally shit....

  • Noooo!!!! No-one should, it's hot only 3g and battery died in 3 hours

  • They really don't need a fan please be their air conditioning unit and come cool my 10 evo. Jm taking it back tomorrow, my fingers are hot

  • Hey htc plz update software htc 10 evo

  • I had the HTC m7 when it came out in 2013. also had the m9 until some freak stole it Christmas Eve 2015 Both great phones loved them The audio on the m7 was amazing, loud crisp, and honestly better than the m9 I thought, and definitely better than the galaxy s7 I had for over a year. When I have the cash I think I will buy the newer htc u13. So far htc hones have been amazing in my opinion. I ordered the HTC 10 evo from fingerhut and expect it tomorrow. Cheers God bless

  • y'all who keep bad mouthing HTC product, keep it up. y'all know what? i got a news for y'all. I've been HTC fan since 2012 and i'll still be their fan. HTC has the best graphics amount all smart phones. I've just ordered for my evo 10 and will be deliver to me by tomorrow 06/02/2019. and I'll be giving out my HTC A9 when my evo 10 is delivered.

  • Where is oreo update? Htc, are u sleeping!!!

  • yeah mine too.just brought week ago

  • I am very disappointed with the HTC company because they did not offer any software update in 2 years since the phone was released, not even the Android 7.1, vaguely update 3-4 top models and the rest forget them, my last HTC phone .

  • If it does not bother you to stay with the official android 7, it's a good phone but with heating problems.

  • Does anyone have issue of phone going blank for few minutes before it comes on back? Mine keeps doing that on a regular.

  • it does not have enough bettery to spend whole day

  • Does anyone know where to buy 64gb model? i need link.

  • What exactly is the issue with this phone? Would you recommend I buy it?

  • there is no issue at phone

  • What exactly is the issue with this phone? Would you recommend I buy it?

  • She has the voLTE?

  • All phone makers offer a major software update in the 2 years since launch, not the htc,i certainly do not ever buy an htc phone!

  • This phone is problem. Cold wheather is problem for sensor. All time restarting dont know why. And on summer time heating after using

  • They don't bother with upgrading their old phones

  • Update Oreo????Htc are you sleeping?

  • Heating how?

  • Update oreo?

  • it comes with HTC sense in android 7.0

  • does anyone know how to fix Lte disconnected after restarting phone???

  • Is it not coming with htc sense? If it is,which version of sense?

  • If you have time for problems yes buy. But if want to use a phone without issues you should look for another.

  • I don't recommend this phone for any one, it's the worst phone i got till now. heating too much & has weak signal. currently screen flashes & doesn't unlock easily when i get it our of my pocket or use for long calls. !!!

  • My Bolt is at the HTC repair center for the second time, brand new out of the box it got so hot that it would lose connectivity every 10-20 minutes, realized it was an overheating issue so it would need to be held in front of an air conditioner then it would connect again, 9 months now and I've barely got to use it.

  • should i buy htc 10 evo in 2018???

  • No you can handle it but its hard to have it in your hand when its hot and when its hot benchmarks are lower but not too big diferance.

  • Thanks. But when you say heating problem, does it mean you can't handle it at all? As in,is it unbearably hot?

  • yes its great phone, only it has - is heating isue

  • Would anyone here recommend this phone?

  • I'm trying to decide between this phone and the Asus ZenFone 3. Which one would you guys or gals recommend? I live in the United States.

  • Hi everyone i have encounter an issue recently, my battery suddenly stop charging, when i put charger just vibrate once and showing 0% if anyone have idea how to rectify. Please given solutions.

  • I was just wondering is the back cover steel plated like iphone?

  • This is a good phone despite negative comments

  • September 2017 Android Security Updates ( 1.32.651.11) was given to Sprint HTC Bolt (USA version) while HTC 10 Evo (Universal version) is stuck with December 2016 Android Security Patch (1.31.400.1).

  • Even "only" 1440p decreases battery life and performance immensely as opposed to 1080p, while providing no noticeable boost in picture quality. 4k is even more unnecessary, ludicrous and slows the phone down while using more battery.

  • Only 2k like most phones, if you want 4k go for Sonyx Xperia Z5 Premium/XZ Premium......

  • THis phone is 2x/3x hotter than Xperia Z3+/Z5 series..... Specially when running Multiple Apps/Watching Videos/Gaming and crashes more when using camera!!!

  • What is your country and what its name of update place tell me

  • Hi, I am thinking of getting this phone. Is it good? I am thinking on using it for at least a few years

  • Thank you

  • Yes it does, very clear and sharp

  • guys do you recomend me refublished phone? i could not found new for sale

  • Does it support 4k video resolution from youtube?

  • What is the last update? I am using HTC 10 EVO since one year but i didn't get any OTA updates?????

  • should i buy this phone ? and is it water proof? and what about it's heating issue?

  • Yes! I bough it for $300 AUD and absolutely love it. or you could spend $700 and get an Iphone with half of the specs this one has.

  • Which update 7 or 8 oreo?

  • I'm checking this phone out. Didn't like it? What happened? Thanks for the information you can give me.

  • Is this worth buying in 2018 for 140 US Dollars (new)

  • Oreo update is fixed

  • gsmarena Pl guide me with details When will release be finally Oreo update 8.0 for HTC evo 10 finally I waiting ur reply anexiouly

  • HTC's official twitter account says that HTC 10 Evo will get Android Oreo... Don't know when, perhaps this month.

  • someone in the opinions said last update fixed the heating issue what update is that ?

  • no oreao on this device android 7.0 only

  • please can anyone tell me if this phone got android oreo update ? i really need to know

  • does the HIFI DAC only work with the default earphone or the device has HIFI DAC built-in the phone?

  • very cheap here in Dubai

  • is your android 7.0 or 8.0 ?

  • Last update fixed it. So update your phone

  • Very good.

  • Can some one tell me the sound quality on handfree??

  • Hope I'm not too late. The Evo gets around 3-8 degrees hotter than the 10, really depends on what you do (the last update really fixed alot). I don't really have a problem with the missing jack, usually use bluetooth, if you still want to use the jack I recommend buying the headset adapter (which you can find on the htc club page) Cheers

  • I recommend checking for a new update. If you already have the latest I would recommend these apps: - Kaspersky Battery Life - Boost+ (Already installed) - Greenify And I would also recommend turning on automatic brightness and power saver, if you have the location on - deactivate it. Hope this helps! Cheers

  • Hello there, pls can anyone help me,how to solve the issue of overheating of HTC evo10.

  • such a solid phone powerfull loud and clear speaker...

  • It is good phone ( Screen , speaker , battery charge , design ,material and camera ) but there are some bad things like battery use and chipset )

  • Any update if the new ones on sale are still affected by overheating? What is the last firmware update that at least fixed the overheating issue?

  • Hello everybody. I'm seriously thinking about buying this cellphone but I'm worried about the chipset because is the same that Htc used with the M9 model and it got hot. Moreover and worried about that this cell doesn't have the jack. My other choice is the Htc 10 but I'm not really sure what cell buy. Putting that on, May I buy this cell or the Htc 10?

  • I brought this phone about 3weeks ago. Gsm arena and opinions helped me lot. It is very good device. Last system update heat issue had been fixed. It gives very nice hand feelings. I think this is the best device you can buy in this price range.

  • My brother-in-law already ordered this phone for me. So I guess I will have to stick with for now. I will see how it goes, if I don't like it at all, I will sell it for even price or a bit lower and buy HTC U Ultra for 238 euros. Not bad for a SD 821 chip rite? Nokia 7+ looks stunning too.

  • Go for the nokia 6 2018 or mi a1 Which are mid range phones with pure android

  • Thanks a lot

  • Thanks for your kind information

  • I need a help, thinking seriously about buying this phone. I am currently using HTC One M8s for three years now. With all the problems it has with battery and mid-range SOC in SD 615, i thought I will never buy HTC again. I am not much of a camera or a game person in a mobile device. I basically bought it for sound and unfortunately, the audio jack claimed 3 headphones so far, so the audio is close to useless for me as I do not want to insert my sony headphone in it. Also the quality of reception has gone down considerably. I can hardly hear the other end when outdoor. Anyway, back to the point. This phone is available for 141 euros but I am a bit concerned about SD 810. This price makes me feel that, its a mere compromise and being a light user, I can use this device easily for 1.5 - 2 years and will be due for future devices. I am on very tight budget for now. My biggest concern, however, is the lack of 3.5 mm jack for audio. For that price point, I doubt the online store will provide an earphone. In the box, it says, device, cable and charger only. I looked up for earphone for this device on ebay and to my surprise, nothing. If I have no option for using earphone, this phone is a no go for me. In terms of looks, it looks fantastic, only complain, bottom front with poorly placed fingerprint/home button. Lots of empty space between screen and home button. For 141, still a mere compromise. On the other hand, Nokia 8 is priced at 299 euros and has future proof SD 835, 3.5 mm jack. Not sold on the front bottom of this device either, but the performance of the SOC will be much more fluid in comparison, I believe. Also I read the battery life is great in Nokia 8. If I buy Nokia 8 I could easily use it for next 3 years, but don't like the idea of using single device for that long anymore after current device. Life's too short lol. With tight budget, I am more inclined towards HTC 10 Evo as it looks fantastic overall with QHD screen. Hence, please advice me guys, with news app every now and then and music, is this device a good temporary fix? And does the HIFI DAC only work with the default earphone or the device has HIFI DAC built-in the phone? I am more into music and news than camera and games. Thanks for advice.

  • The oreo update will start rolling soon across all Latest htc phones includes EVO too. In the middle of 18 The update will be available for evo. And the battery life of the phone is pretty decent. And camera is something which you can say spectacular.

  • It will upgrade to oreo at some point. HTC officially announced it on Twitter.

  • Y'all should update the page. 10 Evo is getting the Oreo update. HTC confirmed it on Twitter. HTCUSA's Tweet:

  • Hey guys i am gonna buy HTC 10 EVO because of bigger screen and design of phone. But i am worrying about chipset, the phone can upgrade to Oreo or not? What about the battery durability and heating issue any one can suggest me? Should i buy it or choose another phone same price?

  • Sadly there was no Ir Blaster in this device and battery is not removeable. That's way i choose lg v10 to replace my htc m8 that has battery problem that hard to replace it. I wish htc could release device like htc bolt that has bigger screen, removeable battery, better chipset, 3.5mm jack, ir blaster and ip68 water resistant. Maybe htc will get more user fans again.

  • You need a USB-C to 3.5mm adapter, then you can use any normal headphones. You have to buy the adapter, it won't come with the phone, but is cheap i think.

  • in cpu z the battery is li- polymer not li - ion you guys write it li - ion , li - polymer is better than li - ion .. yes this phone is heating but not heat so bad because every phone must be heating when we using it right.. so far so good, the big disappointing thing is the usb type c adapter to jack 3.5 is only supporting for htc adapter accessories

  • What kind of headphone can one use for this phone? Is it included in the pack?

  • Does indeed heat up during normal use (browsing, charging), and does not have android 8.0. Also fair bit of bloatware that I wasn't used to from having Nexus devices previously, but I assume that is pretty standard with most devices...

  • you own it ? if yo do ...can yo tell me your experience and battery life ?..please

  • Brother it heating battery poor

  • How do you know for sure that it won't get an 8.0 update?

  • No

  • Finger good and fast

  • any one experiencing half black screen on htc 10 evo? I have been recovery but still half black screen , can not use ,hey next week may be sent to HTC for warranty

  • Is it getting an Oreo update?

  • You can use Google photos or download HTC gallery apk.

  • This phone should be renamed as htc m9 evo! It has the same gpu/cpu/chipset/ram as in htc m9 but upgraded to a qhd larger dsiplay, water resistance, more battery capacity, fingerprint scanner, ois and better camera in general, android 7 out of the box, usb type c, and sadly removed the aux jack.. i have been using my htc m9 for 2 years now and my opinion on sd810 is just fine, tbh it overheats some times in excessive gaming and video recording, rarely shows some lags on high graphics games, i think it's an average processor for a high end phone, but everything works fine in day to day uses and multitasking...a short conclusion, m9's performance with better features!

  • Hi. This phone's battery .cam. fingerprint good or bad . Am going to buy ??

  • suggest me 3rd party headphone or USB type-c to Audio splitter for HTC Bolt/10 Evo...

  • Hi. This phone's battery .cam. fingerprint good or bad . Am going to buy ??

  • You have to get one galery app from google playstore. That's what i did or any file manager should be work

  • any one experiencing half black screen on htc 10 evo? Any solution?

  • I had bought HTC 10 evo. I am unable to find gallery in the mobile. Where will be gallery located in the mobile. ?

  • Are you having any problems with the screen??

  • Can anyone enable the Multiprocess webview in Developer options? Somehow I can't enable this option, it becomes unchecked right after I exit the Dev options screen. Please let me know if there's anyone who can actually enable it on this HTC 10 evo, I may need to reset my device then.

  • Yes for that price is a very good phone you get. The alternative can be Nokia 5 (same price) wich is a very good phone but lacks water and dust protection. I would recommend this HTC to you, always price oriented.

  • what is the latest security update that HTC 10 evo has received ? zero nothing

  • Good phone. Display, Sound, Camera, Speed- excellent. Size, Battery - Good. Type C adapter for audio (Not included) On this price ($165), this phone is the jackpot.

  • Hello people. Is this a good choice? i am currently getting it in about $170. Should i buy this or any suggest me other options in this price range. I want a overall good performance design as well as camera. Thanks.

  • No Oreo update for HTC 10 evo donÂ’t buy worst software support from HTC

  • Does it have a bokeh effect or selective focus like s7 s8 ??

  • is it worh 183$ ??

  • It is good but battery life is decent

  • What about half black screen problem?

  • What is waperaize? do you mean vaporize? or is it a new word? check your spelling please.

  • Hi guys htc 10 evo do you suggest me to buy how is audio quality through the earphones is it worth to buy please suggest me thank you

  • Hi guys how is the device in look and feel and performance wise and another thing is audio quality is it good or average do you suggest to buy I'm getting this at the 19k

  • Hello dear, I just bought 2nd of November of 2017 this phone and I am having very good experience. Battery backup is not very good but even better than an iphone. Over all build quality is super and screen glass also feels so tough but very smooth to touch.

  • Not all time its normal like other phones ,i used samsung s7 and lenovo vibe 1,2 and lg g6 ,I see no difference All phones getting hot during charging for example HTC 10 evo perfect choice for me and many

  • yes excellent phone

  • Hey any one has experience HTC evo ? its working perfect ?

  • It uses SD810!

  • 58h endurance rating is really suspect. I would have expected much more from a 3200 mAh battery. HTC used to be good at phones.

  • nope

  • If it is too hot, drop-down it to a water bowl !

  • Yes, Snapdragon 810 64bits. This CPU is a hot and more energy consumption, makes the battery loss quickly.

  • I get this phone for 265usd. I guess this use sd810 v2.1? Should i worry about heat issues? I replace this with honor 8.

  • Nevermind

  • I really enjoy listening to music with headphone of this phone. The sound is better than any phone I had before. The heat is acceptable, my old iPhone 6 sometimes was hotter than this phone.

  • HTC 10 evo single sim

  • I didn't see anyone complain about the heat issue in the phone, i'm using the phone since 2 months and no overheat noticed even with heavy usage!!!

  • We can call it HTC 10 Lite :(

  • If you live in dar don't buy, this device is not for hot atmosphere if you are in Moro or kilminjaro, moshi than its OK buy it from dar Es salam

  • This is no flagship its a flagshit

  • anyway hw come still using back SD 810 Since there is Overheat issue processor? It Really a stupid move to using back this processor

  • Device need a feedback from you to be calibrated, unless you calibrate manually. So how this thing works, measures our ears by laser or how? Personally , I thinks is another bla-bla technology and bullshit excuse for removing good analog jack. Especially, when you bundle that with earbuds. Com' on, It makes no sense at all. Every audiophile knows, earbuds are cancer for ears... No point of high quality and personalized audio with earbuds...

  • SD810?! Brainless move.

  • GSMARENA how will you call this phone a SEA DRAGON? with that amazing SD810 that phone can waperaize the entire SEA. PHONE LIKE ART

  • HTC is asleep at the wheel. Senior management are incompetent in the international arena. HTC needs vibrat and vision to take the company forward. Get some senior marketing skills on board and stop making yesterday's phones.

  • Why do companies have to copy what apple is doing??!! No headphone jack..HTC are so loosers...

  • get rooted and lower the cpu clock

  • Snapdragon 810 runs hot as hell and will cause the solder points to fail just like my LG V10 did.

  • Prices on shops are not uniform

  • what about 3.5 mm jack ?? how to use handsfree??

  • old snapdragon?

  • Maybe this mobile will be very good. I want to buy this mobile in black color. Can i product in bangladesh?

  • can i get one in tanzania

  • i can't find this product in indonesia.. i've looked in the website for indonesia but nothing say about this.. is anyone can help me??

  • There is snapdragon 810 v2.1. Try googling it. It does not overheat.

  • If you are from India you should be vary of buying HCT phones. Apparently special sets are made for India. I bought an E8 in April 2015. Most sites including gsmarena listed specific 4g bands for India. But HTC India says that for India it was specially made to be a 3G set!! No specific warning on their web site! Paid Rs 34000! Could have bought a 4G set for one quarter the cost!!

  • Can you stop who copy who discussion because it's starting to annoy. Most of us doesn't care who copy who as long the design is good and the hardware, price, is good as well.

  • water resistant? hmmm

  • Why there is not 4gb ram ?

  • Where is the infrared port. I dont like the this.

  • 80 db speaker please. We do not hear.

  • How many slots for SIM 1 or 2?

  • I rather spend my money to get S620 or 623 instead of S810. HTC hardware design team. wake up please!

  • While you are correct, Apple has one major factor that HTC doesn't...a large consumer base that is willing to pay premium for proprietary accessories. So for apple it can be a very clever money maker (even though it is another shady move)...for HTC...it is just a bad idea.

  • HTC had it first without patent but iPhone copied it again, like other features in other devices. It is a shame the lack of originality of that overrated company. HTC is innovation, iPhone only try to copy other companies like HTC and Samsung.

  • 3.5mm jacks are a hardware spec. However you are very correct. the lack of the jack is borderline wet match. People mainly complain on the SoC because it is an SD 810, on a device that costs more than some with the SD 820...or if we want to get technical, a SD 652 could practically match the 810. (They had the option even to utilize the new SD 653 as well), and make the device cheaper. The phone has so many poor choices, and is called the 10 evo?...like an evolution from the 10 which has better hardware all around? seriously HTC?

  • why doesn't it have an audio jack. pls htc should not try imitating iphones, not a fan of the iphone.

  • I love HTC phones but HTC evo Whit the Snapdragon 810 is a big mistake, more than 1 one year old soc in a new phone, why HTC and the price 600 USD why why

  • Why would they remove the headphone jack when CLEARLY they have more than enough interior space??? And what sucks is that there is nothing about this phone that makes up for the loss of the headphone jack. The battery should be AT LEAST 4000+ mAh, and I expected 6GB of RAM. So much wasted space........ This phone is a failure that shouldn't exist.

  • htc bolt review

  • HTC is almost there. Almost closed.

  • or maybe it has boom sound.

  • no jack, no boom sound?? when i saw this toy i though this gonna be my new phone, since i want IP57 and htc 10 does not have it, but has everything else i love. but know ...

  • 8.1 mm but no headphone jack -_-

  • People here put too much focus on hardware specs yet the biggest problem of this phone is following dumb trends like removing the 3.5mm audio jack. Probably the other biggest problem of this phone will be the price... To be honest, the hardware is still capable, the design is ok, i just wouldn't buy because of the absence of the audio jack, i had enough in the past using adapters in older phones with proprietary ports and i don't like too much using BT headsets.

  • no 3.5mm headphone jack?

  • I think HTC lacks strategic thinkers Should have use SD820 LG lunched G5 but later brought V20 to Bost last quarter revenue and I think htc should have done same Lack of creativity and better strategy is gradually killing htc

  • HTC is dead , nothing new and what about snapdragon 810 !!! snapdragon 810 heating issue ??

  • y u all people bragging about; its simple as this, htc m9 repolished as htc 10 evo; they hav to put aside their bulk qty of m9 from last year

  • If there would be an award for this year's worst smartphone, the Bolt/10 Evo would clearly be the winner! Second place goes to Nuclear 7.

  • Just like Sony, HTC is also being LAZY this year!

  • you are right bro... then what is benifit to use this old processor 810 into a flagship. even snapdragon 625 has adreno 506.

  • Am I fool to pay 660€/$ for SD 810 alongside Adreno 430 ? Nowadays devices if in this pricetag and don't have SD820 at least (or smt equivalent) should've at least stm luractive like (force touch, curved screen ,...) Evidently HTC is saying the farewell

  • what do you expect from snapdragon 810, use common sense bro :D

  • The specs in overall r ok except the chipsetÂ…oh godÂ…y??? Y u not put snapdragon 821 the latest chipset to 10 evo??? Y???!!!

  • gpu is only Adreno 430... are u kidding...???

  • Between this and Z5 Premium? Definitely gonna go for Z5 Premium, 4k UHD Screen, Stereo Speakers with Jack, Better Camera, IP68 Water and Dust Resistant, Radio, Etc. And most importantly CHEAPER.

  • To add to that, a large difference is the change from ARM processor cores to Qualcomm's Kryo cores

  • everything from GPU...to compatibility.

  • Disappointing that phones are getting heavier every year. This one is 174 grams. The Le Eco Le Pro 3 and the ZTE Axon 7 are both 175 grams. Thankfully, at least the Oneplus 3T is only 158 grams.

  • One of them heats up and throttles like a champ, while the other doesn't. Enough said?

  • now HTC has launch his fastest smartphone called bolt.

  • main menu viewer is not attracted.

  • z5 premium

  • SD 810, 3GB RAM, 32 GB internal memory, to me this is an entry smartphone. Why HTC has problem to offer SD825, 6GB RAM and 128GB/256GB internal memory and price similar to OnePlu3T?

  • TRUE!

  • If HTC continues this way, it will continue to be a small player in the phone market.

  • Only thing this phone has better than Le Eco Lepro 3 is the QHD Screen the is because of the name

  • dont you see guys, between the mumblings, look at those tests, who is the winner by far? why being hooked up to a phone just for its name? why being blinded? look at the winner, most smooth operation system , most stable stop hold your heads under the sands.

  • You gotta be kidding me,this crap costs more than HTC 10 when its actually weaker than it?!?!?!? DONT BUY IT,with the same money you can get HTC 10 which uses the newer snapdragon 820 cpu and has more ram(4gb vs 3gb on this crappy bolt). Price shouldnt be more than 400 euros(although even this is too much, xiaomi mi5 with snapdragon 820 costs 380 euros). At this point HTC seems to be trying to commit suicide, first with desire 530,630,830 and now this.

  • This phone is exclusive for Sprint customers, you're not gonna buy it anyway. lol

  • Google Pixel Lite is Here :)

  • No headphone jack??! what a rubbish!!

  • Sd820 is faster but 810 is still a beast

  • the reason behind putting sd 810 is coz they didn't wanted it to be their flagship... and don't worry about the heating of sd 810...i heard that this is another version of sd 810 which doesn't have any heating issues....but one thing did disappointed me and that is the removal of the headphone jack.

  • tell me the real difference between 810 and 820 and not that benchmark mambo jumbo

  • REALLY HTC?s810 ? no jack > radio ..maybe are u serious gsmarena

  • when and where can i purchese this phone

  • Really HTC..?? its sanapdrgon 810 & adreno 430 ... its too outdated ..

  • This phone is utter crap, this is the very least option you should choose considering 600$ phone. Why HTC, why?...

  • So did the M9 when they were 1st released and it's their claim as well.

  • Best choice snapdragon 810 is very powerful processor

  • Not bad, but we all know need something more than this spec for a competition

  • Please

  • Htc says its a updated snapdragon 810 processor which didnt have heating issues

  • Htc says its a new snapdragon 810 processor which is better than previous and didnt have heating issues

  • Might have considered if not for the 810 and only a 3200mah battery. its a 2015 spec phone releasing in late 2016. Poor effort.

  • Apple not first in anything since iphone 3, htc actually is exept for wrong 3.5mm jack , i don't think htc wanted to remove that, but like apple when it is it's first time water resist phone ... So Now this phone is kind of general use phone, with water resistance, sd810, military grade aluminium boddy, gorilla glass 5. It sures its holder that it will be real quick for every day use(sd 810 is pretty fast and i think they use v2.1 of it)and also will endure in hard situations. It priced a little high, best would 500 euros

  • A copycat to the Iphone7 for not having a headphone jack? Retard, get your facts together! First of all, Moto Z was actually the first to come without a 3.5mm headphone jack, and second of all, why don't you call Apple a copycat for taking the Dual camera and metal body ideas from HTC? You're probably a typical Apple fanboy that lives underneath a rock.

  • CPU wise, the 810 would definitely get beaten by 652 (or even 650) but you have to take into account that Adreno 430 inside is still much more powerful than the Adreno 510 inside the 650/652. Given the fact that the former also has much more GPU related features inside than the latter, I can say that SD810 is still futureproof for the next couple of years. Although I'd agree that making a new phone and costs them $300 more than a last year's phone with a same SoC is a stupid idea.

  • Where is 3,5 mm audio jack, HTC? We do'nt need another iPhone, but Android with full capabilities for all of life situations.

  • There's nothing shameful really, I even live in the same city where BlackBerry was founded, so I encourage them to keep trying.

  • It is not nonsense it is factual though in a childish manner. The snapdragon 810 is a very subpar chipset for qualcomm and probaly their worst chip since the success of their 800/801 and 805. Not only were their issues with heat dissipation on the SOC it also performs poorly and would be bested by a snapdragon 652/653 which you can find on devices costing 150-250$. So while his comment may not be the most mature it is 100% correct. HTC is making a dead device with a dead SoC and should be selling this phone for 2-300$ max

  • HTC invention reached an end unfortunately... its too damn pricey for what it is. just have a look at huawei devices and their value is 10 times better as a device. the designers have indeed lost their minds. even samsung engineers have better designs lately

  • No 3.5 mm jack???!!! looks like an apple iPhone 7 copycat.

  • No OLED screen. ?? No front stereo speakers??

  • I choose Moto X style than HTC bolt !

  • Good point. I chose the lg G4 over the Htc one m9 for the very reason of I don't trust the 810

  • But the xiaomi mi mix has like a 90% screen to body

  • 75?? Even S7 only has 72 and S7 edge 76.

  • This is similar to note 4

  • Cost- rs. 40,500

  • Please tell me the mobile cost.....??

  • snapdragon 810 what the fxxk

  • Agreed.

  • Maybe the 810 was all they had. It's easy to say they should have improved here or there or they should use this screen or that chipset but that isn't what everyone is looking for. Sprint touts the phone as the fastest and maybe it is or not, but more people will be interested in it.

  • hahaha, alien. #lol

  • ~70.2% screen-to-body ratio, ok ok HTC, please try harder, gonna be OK, make HTC great again! (75% at least!)

  • But why S810?!!!

  • too expensive, gonna be a flop

  • I thinks it is looks dope.Just the problem is the Headphone jack removed. But still, they give a free DAC and its headphone with dac capability. The size could be more smaller like 5 inch and battery should be bigger even if could be more bulkier.

  • Heating up on sd810 was a design flaw, that might have been fixed on more recent batches, otherwise 810 is perfectly fine and hardly any real life performance difference from sd820

  • Assumptions are not facts.

  • -Sony's own image stabilization tech called SteadyShot fares better than most OIS-es out there -Z3+ is getting Android 7 in the near future anyway -Z3+ also has protective glass on both sides but Sony never mentioned which brand it is -bigger screen and bigger resolution doesn't always better (in fact it strains the CPU and GPU more) -bigger battery doesn't always translates into better battery life -HTC may have better tech in the audio department but at least Z3+ still has dual front facing speakers. All other specs that you've mentioned are clearly not worth the $300 increase from a brand new Z3+ in my region here.

  • Latest portable burner In the market

  • Snapdragon 810?? Hahahaha! What a junk! Oh, for all the people saying SD810 is ok, stop lying! Just cos you bought a device with that processor doesn't make it ok. I've searched on many websites and came to the conclusion that phones with SD801 are more expensive than phones with SD810 especially for this reason. If you don't believe me, do your own research. Meanwhile, cook some eggs and bacon on your 810 processor..

  • May be, but no OIS,corning gorilla glass, Android 7, fingerprint, USB-C, bigger screen, higher pixel count, larger battery capacity, and HTC sound of paradise.

  • This combination (ois camera, working fingerprint scanner, metal unibody, water resistance, USB -C , speaker system of HTC 10,....) needs to downgrade the processor to reach an affordable price value, otherwise it will be outside the competition. This is my opinion.

  • dont talk bad about adreno 430 coz its still super powerful gpu, other things u said i agree hehe

  • Sd 810 Better than any proccessor. It is redesigned and updated

  • Shame on you

  • You just have digits and no more.be silent please

  • s810? and no 3.5m jack!! why ... 100% better go for OnePlus or Xiaomi

  • You know nothing about phones and specially HTC phones. You should buy samsung shits.

  • HTC's biggest fail (And mockery with customers) yet. Overheating processor, no 3.5mm jack and no stereo speakers. I wouldn't use it even if they payed me to.

  • This phone makes my Xperia Z3+ a complete bargain.

  • Either mediatek or backdated snapdragon chipset...,overpriced...camera aperture f/2.0... Overall not so impressive...

  • I think HTC is collapsing, who in the world would buy a phone in more than 600 ( what ever ) for a SD 810 and Adreno 430 ? And also LCD 3 This is garbage

  • Shame on you htc, still going with old hardware and technology.. shit

  • LG G FLEX 2 snapdragon 810 3gb ram user here ..... nothing wrong with the snapdragon 810. been using it for a year now absolutely fine no lagging whatsoever. Overheating issue has been solved.

  • And what makes you think that? At least BlackBerry has a plan for the future, but I doubt it HTC does (in the world of smartphones). P.S. I live in the exact same city as BB so I have early access to their phone models.

  • HTC is downgrading the processor, maybe to prevent overclocking the CPU, which also doubles from quad core on the 10 to octa core on this device. We'll just have to wait and see whether or not this device performs well for the price it will be retailing at.

  • If this rumor is true, what i can sya to HTC wake up from your nightmare!!! Helloooo... others are already having SD 821 and you are going down to SD810 and the RAM is also going down to 3GB while others are already planning an 8GB from 6GB. Whoever is conceptualizing this idea should be fired out from your company! What a stupid idea is this from you!!!

  • Hahaha! I was thinking the same thing. SD810 is such a bad choice. I'm not into MediaTek, but I'd happily go with them rather than SD810. HTC used to be great, now they barely make quality phones - they try to follow Sammy and release 100 models per year, but 99% of them suck. Even the 10 is not that great for not having waterproof - flagship compulsory feature in my opinion, allong with SD Card.

  • BlackBerry won't make a comeback. They aren't even making their own devices anymore. They're dying.

  • Nah m8 I have a feeling BlackBerry will make a comeback soon, but as for HTC I really hope they die

  • wait........ "No 3.5mm jack" WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Not saying it's bad, as long as they use the newer chips, but why the hell are they using last year's chipset? Ah who cares, still better than the 652.

  • "SD810" ....wtf........

  • Should use newer midrange chipset like 16nm Helio P20 or 14nm Sd626 that is power efficiency is better than old Sd810.

  • there was a time that htc smartphones were beautiful, now they're just UGLY... UGLY as hell!

  • To fix it they have to completely revise die framework and architecture. Then it won't be 810 anymore. So no, HTC just want to save money and Qualcomm want to ditch stale SD810. Yet again HTC management steps on same rakes. Seem to be hopeless.

  • If the snapdragon 810 is a non-heating version of chipset and they maintained the gpu & cpu power, I'll recommend this over snapdragon 652 devices anyday.

  • maybe it is a revised version of snapdragon 810 something like v3.0, non-heating, underclocked chipset

  • Why is this phone showing itself at the latest device list? This is definitely not a latest device. Go back to 2015 mate.

  • I am a huge HTC fan but...WTF are they thinking?? Taking away the headphone jack was bad enough...now a snapdragon 810? I'm disappointed...The HTC 10 looks like a Samsung...and HTC evo looks exactly the same but bigger. Gee I'm glad i have the M9. When HTC was actually innovating with the curved back and awesome speakers.

  • Yeah WTH??????hahahahahhaa

  • Its beautiful, but how much? $500? Yup, knowing HTC $500 is going ro be the price they put on this....

  • Gotta love the similarities this phone shares with the iPhone.

  • Instead of making the HTC 10 .3 inches longer, they decide to remake the Samsung Galaxy S4.

  • Snapdragon 810??? WTF, are you kidding me???

  • Somebody's in HTC needs to be fired

  • I think HTC have finally completely and utterly lost the plot if this is true. A CPU that has known over heating issues several months after it's successor is out which does not. The One Plus 3 will almost certainly be a better option at the price that will most probably sell at. After it's not likely to be cheaper and comes with inferior hardware.

  • Whoa!!! a 2014 smartphone to be released in Q4 2016, So UNcool

  • it looks like a midrange Samsung galaxy.. it says in the specs: No 3.5mm port! well it's still not official yet but this is ridiculous! lol

  • Are you ok? There are plenty of great phone manufacturers out there. I despise Samsung and Apple, and I am loyal to Huawei.

  • LOL!

  • What you gonna do then if htc dies? stick to samsung explosive traps or apple to rip you off for old school tech? why your kind exist?WHY!?

  • i want htc 10 plus. htc 10 pro.

  • it must be joke. snapdragon 810 ? heat heat, fire fire

  • Just die already, HTC. Said the same about BlackBerry last year, and it's finally happening. Your turn. You're useless.
