I bought this phone used like 4 years ago and it still works PERFECTLY to this day. This thing has been thrown around with no case and it sill has absolutely no problems. I am still using it in JAN 2017! Looking to upgrade now tho.

After having this phone for three years, I can say that it's a great device all around, and in my experience, can take a beating. Several no-case drops have resulted in only a few cracks in the screen -- no spider webs. Camera quality, while outdated, is still good, especially with some small scale photo editing (although the front facing camera is meh). Rear-facing speaker is fine, too. Even so, the software shows its age: my internet browser randomly closes, my gmail app refuses to sync new accounts, Verizon maps will often show a blank screen when giving directions, and I commonly have to wait 1-5 minutes for Incredible to load contacts, text threads, and even phone calls. It was a solid phone for a 2 year duration, with all the essentials you'll need in any smartphone; however, once you start seeing signs of buggy software, it quickly goes downhill.

When rooted and flashed with a unlocked bootloader, this HTC incredible 2 is supported by Evervolv Android. My HTC inc 2 is running Android 4.3.1 now at T-mobile network.

The Inc2 is my "Old Reliable" smartphone - I carry it every day. Most have abandoned the Inc2 platform in favor of newer platforms but many people, like me are staying with the Inc2 for the foreseeable future. I like the size and, with the extended battery, the battery life. Most importantly, for budget reasons I use Verizon via NET10 (half the cost) and NET10 only supports 3G. Consequentially, all of the 4G devices are useless to me. BTW - AT&T reception is poor where I live and Sprint and T-Mobile are nonexistent, so Verizon is my only choice.

Go to settings. Click on display. Click on notification flash button. Uncheck all notifications you don't want. Notifications are not a big drain actually. Bluetooth always on is worse. Gps and location on are huge drains. Very many apps are always on and these suck battery life. Be selective in what apps you download. Have had my HTC I2 since Jan 2012. Works great. Can't believe HTC having a tough time selling their machines. Much better than Samsung or Motorola or Blackberry, imho.

It is best mobile but the battery life is annoying plus it has almost no internal memory so every time u need to have sd card. Plus on the hardware its cover is metal it was good if it is glass.

well i have had this phone for a long time. i went through 3 of these phones . that was my fault. i droped it in the lake for about 10 seconds. when i got out of the lake. lol i took my phone a part. and let it dry out for about a day. and i got lucky . it was fine. i love this phone . i dread the day . i have to get a new phone . because i will have to start to learn a new type ,because they will out date this style. some people are so picky and want there phone to do everything for them . when you start to add so many features to your phone , your bound to have a problem eventually. a new phone is like a car.some times you get a lemon. but that is what the warranty is for. all phones get out dated. and up grated. the manufacturer will see to that. thats how they make the $$$$$$$.

The updated version of this phone is the incredible 4g. It's a 4g LTE phone with dre beat music player. But if you were gonna go that route, get the HTC Rezound. It's what the incredible 2 should have been. It came before the incredible 4g LTE. But it kicks more ass then the 4g incredible. Plus it comes with dre beat headphones. As of now its down to $99 to renew contract. The headphones alone coat $150. So its a steal. I've researched both. The Rezound is better then the incredible 4g. Imo. Plus its slightly bigger and better looking....

I had this phone for a year and i had to give it up because it freezes when it ready and calls are dropped. I then switched to the Samsung galaxy which is a magnificent phone with lovely features. I you have to get a phone i would recommend this phone. My opinion it surpasses the iPhone5.

I own this phone. An although it may be a 3g. It's not all that bad. I got it a year ago for free from WWW.tigerdirect.com I'll admit that where I live, Rosemead CA the 3g is worthless. To answer your question Verizon is not gonna update this model to ICS. Because they want to force you to upgrade to a 4g overpriced phone. But if your warranty is up, you can root it. Your able to then update to Jelly Bean, and get sense 3.0 or so I've read. I havent done it yet. But i heard it works a lot better. I dropped my phone 10 feet on its face. And nothing happened thanks to the gorilla glass, invisasheild, and case I had on it. Got it wet and my light up buttons gave out. But after taking out the battery and putting it in rice overnight they came back. No problems. Then months later I had a long conversation and got a lot of sweat on it. The lights never came back. But would work in landscape mode. I ordered a replacement, that one bricked, so I needed yet another one. By the time I returned my old one It was working again. So all in all this phone lives up to its name.

You will end up charging this phone before the day is out with anything at or more than moderate use....even with the typical items turned off like GPS/Bluetooth, etc. Speakerphone and call quality are sub-par as well.

I've had this device for over a year now and it has more pros than cons. After customizing my home screens to get to my desired apps and features faster, the only real issues that began to nag me were the lag times between sending and recieving texts, the way the screen is non-responsive if you talk for too long and begin to sweat, and sometimes when trying to unlock it the letters/numbers for my password don't appear until maybe the 3rd or 4th attempt. Aside from that, it's fast enough and has a LOT of cool features. I use an app calld App2SD which allows me to move downloaded apps to the SD card thus freeing up phone memory to install even MORE apps!

This phone is terrible. At first I liked it, but as I've used it, I like it less and less. It is finicky. Gets unreliable service (and I've replaced the phone itself with no improvement) and drops almost every call. I've had it reset at the store several times, after it freezes or resets itself somehow. Basically it's a very expensive instant messenger and google. I like google calendar, but I do not like the way this phone displays or interacts with it. Do not buy this phone, save yourself the headache.

The upgrade to 4.0 is a lie. Mine cannot upgrade past gingerbread. The 3g is absolutely worthless! I dont know why I'm paying $107 a month and I don't have unlimited anything! This phone is nice, looks nice, but not worth what I'm paying. In my opinion you could get much better service else where for half the price and more features/data. Verizon is nothing but a money hound. This phone is already outdated and hasn't even been out that long. Although I did drop it ten feet face down once and it didn't even have a scratch (rubber case on it with zag screen cover), got it wet ( put it in rice to dry) and it still works like the day I bought it. All in all its an ok phone. But everything that they brag about this phone is bullshit. The 3g is slow, and GPS isn't that good when using the network. WiFi is pretty fast though. So it is capable, but the service isn't that great. My main peeve is that the speaker sucks pretty bad. My LG chocolate touch was WAY louder then this phone, in fact most other smartphones are louder then this one. Also Bluetooth stereo connectivity is also another lie. Only one side works, no matter what I've used. Headphones work fine. As a matter of fact you can make a call and use plain headphones as a headset. I use that when driving. Hope this review helps. Although Verizon has nice phones, once my contract is up I'm leaving there scandalous money hungry service. I know I could get better and more for less elsewhere.

Hi guys. Just got this phone as an upgrade from LG Optimus One P500, and the experience is like from hell to heaven (and I'm not exaggerating). So far I've been totally satisfied with this purchase. The CPU is strong enough to keel all taks done smoothly and quickly. I don't need a dual-core CPU for a cell-fone, really. Highly recommended!

The Droid Incredible 2 CAN be unlocked, if you are a Verizon customer, if you are not, then I don't know how to unlock it, my friend is a Verizon customer and we called Verizon under his name and said we need a unlock code for the Droid Incredible 2, I am using AT&T on my Incredible 2. Just bought a used htc droid incredible 2 and through research it would appear that it's a gsm/cdma phone (it does have a sim card slot under the battery). dude even i used to feel the same.i always used a nokia before and simply adored my n70. for me it was the best fone ever. used a samsung corby after tht n i had a horrible experience of touch. i decided i wud never go for a touch fone but after using my bros iphone i was simply bowled over by its touch n responsiveness.. i got my frnds htc for a few days with me n became a fan of touch fones. after using such smart fones, playing around with a qwerty keypad one seems so boring. theres so much of freedom in touch.. excuse me for being cheesy.. lol.. but srsly,, qwerty keypad fones dont give u the freedom of touch .. i agree with u though that if u immediately want to call or msg, qwerty fones r good.

My first phone was Nokia brand used in many phone models and the last nokia phone was N86. Then jump to Iphone 3g , later iphone 3gs , then HTC in many models and now my currently using phone is HTC nexus one. After my use of all these phone, my comment is do not by any touch screen phone in any brand even in Nokia brand. There are so much setting in touch screen phones and they are totally going to wast you times. Most of the time what you click is goes wrong. You will feel horrible experience when making call or send text msg on touch screen in a immediate action. The numeric keypad to a phone is very important thing. There is still I can recommend you a phone that is Nokia N86. it has 8MPx camera still beats all other high end phone and totally very very stable OS with all new options that other latest phones have. Now I feel so sad that I miss my N86. But I am going to buy it again.

it is available under the name 'incredible s'.Incredible s is the european version of the droid incredible 2. i have one and i live in india.its awsome.Though i get some negative remarks about my phone from my friends who are all apple fanboys.But i'm telling you this phone is much better than the iphone 4

The specs for this phone is wrong. The htc droid incredible 2 is global ready and will work on any gsm network as well as in cdma also this phone gets 3g for gsm in the following frequencies: 850/1900, 1700/2100, 900/2100 and 1900/2100 so basically the droid incredible s and 2 are the same thing. Unlock it and you will not have any other problem.

You're thinking of the Incredible S, which is a GSM phone. This is the Incredible 2, which is CDMA. Please don't miscommunicate.

1 - throughout my search --- GSM ,GPRS and ,EDGE are usually used for voice Calls ( Small amount of Data ) . EDGE is the most recent technology of the above three, and replaced the older two versions. then came the 3g then 4g .usually 3and 4 g is for large amounts of data , like video calls and so on , i guess they can also do the voice Calls ; But at what rates of money ??? ( i live in egypt and 3g is very expensive ) for that reason if EDGE is locked ,then that phone will cost me a lot of money to to Voice calls I Guess 2- Incredible S is the European Version of Droid incredible 2 , It includes all features of Droid Incredible 2 plus GPRS and Edge are not Blocked as verizon did .( Plaese note that at Verizon Site they mentioned that EGDE exists for Droid incredible 2 ??? (Checked on June 2011)

This is both CDMA and GSM capable. That's why it's called world ph. (jus like DROID PRO) it's will be roaming on GSM networks where CDMA is not available. if it's unlocked, can be used on any GSM network. (even AT&T and T-mobile) i believe.

I think the time of 1Ghz processors has passed as the consumer's expanding needs will not be satisfied by a previous generation of processors. I have found that by the dual core (apple's A5 on the ipad 2 in particual by experience) is the way for companies like HTC should move by now with all devices to be released.

HTC should really work in their 'Battery' and 'Camera & Video Camera' sections! For example; An 8MP camera on a HTC is not even better than my LG KM900 Arena which is only a 5MP camera! HTC.... do something!!!!!!!!
