  • Hey ppl , i have just updated my m8 eye . It is so good with the sense 7 and marshmellow update . The update was complete and with no defects like heating ,camera or sound . The problem with the corrupt files happens when your internet goes down just redownload the update and install , it will be okay . No worries as the new android version 7.1 is on trial , marshmellow would have already been completely upgraded by android . So don't think , just go for it and enjoy !! Awsme fon by the way !!

  • Been using this phone for the past 6 months.. So far I have no problems with it. The phone is fast for my needs. The battery is fine.. I can make it through out the day with single charge (WiFi) but that's not the case with mobile data though. The front camera takes good photos but the Field of View is small.. Only a single person can fit in the frame.. Taking a groupfie is nearly impossible with this phone. The back camera takes good pictures... The video camera is okay.. not that great and the lack of 4K video is a a bit disappointing. The phone heats up when playing games.. While browsing and stuffs it doesn't.

  • Hey bro,I bought the same phone just a week ago and Yesterday I got the same update and I would suggest you to download it in case if you want marshmallow, the update is nothing but a bug fix that allows your phone to update to marshmallow and once you install the update just to the software update option in settings/about phone and tap on check updates it will show up a pop up telling you to download marshmallow update 1/2 and just download it and then another popup with marshmallow update 2/2 will show up and download it too and it will install marshmallow

  • I have both. Don't feel any difference. Clean ur speaker grills with toothbrush if u feel volume is lower. I have tried it myself.

  • If u having problem with your camera app or any other HTC app, it's best to reformat your phone. It will solve most of the problems with factory reset.

  • Are you sure that it's the MM update? Because my camera is working fine. Did you update the "HTC Service - HTC PNS" or "HTC Service Pack" from google play store? If these apps are updated then there are chances that your camera WILL crash, Check the user reviews. If not updated then try doing a factory reset.

  • This is for those who have a selfie issue with their camera. When you open the camera application it opens in a wide angle mode after which you have to manually rotate your portrait in edit mode. So here is a solution i recently came across, hold your phone straight to your face with selfie camera on then shake it quickly up & down usually it works in one shake but do more if your issue isn't resolved. I would suggest that you shake it with the options on as in tap the 3 dots where you get options on screen (timer, EV, AWB) this is so when AWB option is straight you will know that your camera is straight as well.. you wont have to edit your selfies anymore.. 😉 happy clicking. I hope this helps

  • I was totally Impressed and Mesmerised by its Design ,Performance etc. After 3 months of usage 1 earphone in headset stopped working and my phone is hanging ,over heating ,, etc etc .... When I went to Service Centre it was horrible .. SAMSUNG HAS WORST DEVICES whereas HTC has Worst Service !!! I bought it for 31900/- In case of service I like Samsung ... But Samsung Devices are good for nothing except Flagship I would never suggest to buy this phone

  • its because of its processor too crappy the snapdragon 801 me also getting the same camera force closes when running for max 3 mins and phone gets over heating on Sony Xperia Z3

  • The field of view is narrow.. That's why the pictures appear as zoomed in. There's no way you can change it. Try changing the crop size to "Regular (4:3)" it wont make a drastic difference though.

  • Hey guys! Just got my new sandisk uhs 1 sd card and tried the adoptable storage feature. Which worked well but the device starts to lag if ur mem card is not up to the mark so for those who intent to use this feature get a faster card.

  • From what I understood, your phone heats up when you try to take pics with your data turned on. From my experience, most flagships do the same. The phone has to put all cores to work and utilize both cameras and at the same time keep you logged in. Turn off your data for a few minutes, take your shots and turn it back on. I guarantee you won't have any issues. This happens once in a while but never over WIFI. Hope this helps

  • Your comment is unclear and what's more is it's libelous. What exactly did you want repaired? The software happens to be one of the best if not the best on the android market. And please remember, you can always have your pics recovered even if you forgot to use to back up.

  • I uploaded photos and saw "repair" on HTC manager. I clicked it and "repair failed." Afterward, the phone did not work. Was ruined. HTC would do nothing. BEWARE. Stay away from HTC.   • Update is not rolled as per location of user. It is random. Everyone will get it within 2 days.

  • Go to Settings and request update. U might not get the notification automatically. Update in 3 parts... 1st if 400kb....2nd is 120mb....3rd is 1.07gb. Time for installation will be around 90 minutes total excluding downloading time.

  • It's an educated guess. M8 is just receiving Marshmallow update around the world. Which is around the same it got updated to Lollipop in 2015 and M8 EYE got lollipop in the last week of May. So I think it's safe to say that M8 EYE will get Marshmallow in May/June.

  • Its a factory fault of m8 cameras.You need be careful even if you keep in pocket the scratches will come.The real cause is the extra anti dust coating on the camera which is getting damaged. Th solution is to replace Camera Glass or Remove the extra coating with iopropal solution ,tooth paste and colin. The coating will be removed easly atleast frm the camera lense . But try to safeguard from scratches or if u phone is under warranty get the camera glass replaced.

  • I Just Purchased One m8 eye @19600. Specs might seem dull compared to other "new" brands, but trust me, its still a gr8 phone, battery stamina overshadows its mah rating compared to other 3100 phones. Sense UI is well old and established to perform smooth and lag free. updates may be a lil late, but are totally worth it. snapdragon 800 is quite powerful by todays standards too(805,808,810). and dont even ask about the build quality. and i think, this might be just me, but 5 inch screens are way better than 5.5, way more user friendly and still big enough. and m8's screen is way better than most phones even today. (441 ppi, and most realistic looking colors)

  • I am using this one for 1month. Truely i'm very disappointed with it. I was going to buy m8, but god knows why i bought this. 13mp camera is just a gimmicky. Its no good. With good light conditions its ok, but in moderate light, it shoots grainy and hazy photos. M8 got good night shots, wide angle selfi camera, nfc, IR blaster and m8 lacks all of these. It supports 128gb memory card, its pointless. U can't transfer apps to sd card. Can't save photo or videos to sd card. After downloading or taking photos if u transfer them to sd card, the file can't be opened, becomes corrupted file. In customized camera mode u can take photos, but after 5sec they become corrupted file. I was a user of Sony Ericsson experia ray, used it for 4years,and its still going on. I wish sony could make phones as they did in the Sony Ericsson era. I heard htc is the best, the m8eye does not lag, has good screen resolution,not so savvy battery, boom sound which is not so overwhelmed with it. I expected more from a high end phone, more from htc. But I'm very dissatisfied. May be some of the issues are in my phone. If anyone can help me to resolve them, I'll be grateful.

  • Just got this M8 Eye after trading in a troublesome Sony M4 Aqua dual. Feel in hand is superb. Even better than my old HTC One S. To Anonymous below, mine is running Lollipop 5.0 with Sense 6. Stable so far. No issues. Voice call, SMS, Whatsapp, camera, web browsing, installed some apps. So far so good. The best thing about using HTC is stability. Rarely I had their phones crashed seriously on me. Have use Touch (Windows based), Desire, Sensation, One S. Think this is the most important thing. Sony M4 Aqua dual is the worst I've used. See my comments in M4 Aqua dual page. Don't understand all the flak HTC is getting. My real world usage comments of M8 Eye: Camera's good for a phone & its intended application; candid shots when my DSLR is at home. It's not water proof, but do you want to submerged electronics in water? It's all marketing hype anyway. Many horror stories on brands touting their phone water-proofness. Use under the rain; Why are you not finding shelter by common sense, and getting yourself wet? Screen is beautiful. "Only" HD but very good already. 5" screen same resolution as my 51" plasma TV. No complains at all. Apps run smooth. Fast, no lags. Not the latest & greatest processor but no lag. Good enough for me. Only downside is the small 16 GB memory. SD card is useless for moving apps since most can't be transferred anyway. Built quality. Super premium. Enough said. Hold it in your hand to know. Good speakers are icing on cake. Best part? Price's bout the same as my 4 year old One S, with much higher spec :D It's a superb phone for the vast majority of users. Premium build with very good specs and price point. Ed (from Malaysia)

  • Lolipop update is very good on m8 eye...phone has become more responsive and performance has slightly improved too..so you can go for the update

  • The HTC One M8 brought from the Middle Eastern region (but being used in Sri Lanka) just got the update to Lollipop. The file was a 587MB update. Took a while to update, which surprisingly included several restarts before the phone was available for use. Features that are obvious, 1. A more sharper font 2. The notification icons are different and have a different way to be accessed Yet to see if the impact on everyday battery life has reduced (as was the case for the M8 based on Gsmarena tests). Hopefully the very long delay of the update being given to the M8 Eye has fixed these niggles and improved upon the M8 update!

  • Its a good news - LOLIPOP 5.1 is available in INDIA. I just updated. No dramatic improvement. One major drawback - CONSUMES MORE POWER & PHONE GETS HEATED. Even while charging it is getting heated almost twice as it was earlier. I suggest not to UPDATE. Stay away from update or you will repent.

I have been using HTC One m8 EYE for over 3 months now.. it's simply awesome and worth the price.. no issues with battery despite using 3G data whole day.. the only problem I am facing is syncing with yahoo / gmail in the inbuilt e-mail app... I had separately download yahoo and gmail email apps to use email.. in this matter, my iPhone was better.. it was simpler to access and send emails in iphone

  • Camera performance is great because this also features a depth sensor.Low light performance is also ok but M8 wins as it has an ultrapixel camera. But both phones lacks optical image stabilization. Anyway camera should be ok for an average user. Rumors are there about the Lollipop update coming on may or june but no concrete news. Also you have to note that M8 eye lacks NFC, IR blaster and quick charge which is present in M8. Both phones are good and it's your choice.

  • This is nice cell good for gamers and photographers. Good speed, Slim, light weight, superb finishing. Only the issues is with battery but still it covers 75% of the 24 hours if you are using it upto the fullest. Suggestion you may buy if you are looking for good quality.

  • I bought M8 last month and uses it covering open golf tournament as assigned volunteer (additional manned for taking pictures) it works pretty well both pics and vids. Already uploaded to the system and filed on my google drive to distribute to players and friends. I wasn't disappointed and wasn't wrong to be one owns hTC M8, superb. And I'm waiting to see the M9 tablet and no need to say what to expect its featyres. Let hTC to decide and embed all what is needed on it. Of course they same superb you will get.

  • I don't think the device heats up after listening to few songs but gets little warm when you play games using the data and this happens with most of the smartphones. HTC one m8 eye is a fabulous device .It's fast ,smooth and it never lags.This is the best smartphone upto 35k .

  • Guys.. Just spoke to the HTC India customer care. Though the box says 800 snapdragon processor, but actually its 801 snapdragon processor. This can be verified using the app CPUZ. There has been some printing error from HTC's vendor.

Pay additional 10K gain that. Additionally, camera on M8 was ULTAPIXEL, meaning the size of pixels were bigger resulting in better pics in low light conditions. M8 EYE has ordinary one. Image stabilzation in both are missing due to dual back camera. Third thing, the amplification power of audio in M8 is higher in comparison to M8 EYE which definitely sounded better through over the ear cans especially SENNHEISER cans. Fourth thing, you guys put your hand on your heart and say how many features you use as listed in specs of a phone. Definitely two or three. Needless to say do not indulge in such a debate. Lastly buy what you like. People usually get acquainted with the GUI of the brand which they use. So if you are a SAMSUNG user you will prefer that only, same goes for SONY or HTC. I have been using HTC since 2007 and started with HTC TOUCH and went through WILDFIRE, WILDFIRE S, HTC DESIRE HD, AMAZE and then M8.   • Hey i can clarify it Is is SNAPDRAGON 800 2.3GHz Now i talked to the htc customer care india nd told about the problem. Firstly they told me that it was snapdragon 801 but when i asked him that the box says snapdragon 800 then he again put my call on hold nd told me Finally that the htc india website has currently an error about that snapdragon 801 nd it is currently under amendment. So the specification on the box is perfectly correct i.e Snapdragon 800

TBC/TBD which you understood from this is not what the reality is, it nt to be decided or to be concluded :-) its THERMAL BARRIER COATING in Htc M8 Eye, which is the reason thr is a price difference between old M8 along with NFC and Infra features and this one for almost difference 10K in India. So my question still stands good....Anyone have any idea on the difference??

  • 1.Touch response is fantastic.. Its one of the best I have ever used.Having said that, the double knock on the lock screen to keep it on and then double knocking on it again to switch off the screen is occasionally fails if you knock on the upper side of the screen on lower side of the screen. 2. Rear camera is better than original m8 and front camera is worse than the original m8. Camera produces unimpressive low detailed pictures and have yellow tints in photos make them even worse even when you take pictures in full daylight.In indoors pictures are grainy. I used Samsung GS2,GS3,GS4,Iphone 4s,5s and sony Xperia Z1 and Z2 and quality of the pictures taken by these phones are much better than M8 EYE.Currently I use Xperia Z3 pictures taken by it is much more truer,detailed and sharper than M8 EYE.

  • Hi Folks! Dont get me wrong and i'll give you all a proper idea about this phone.. I bought this phone a month back and after using it extensively for a month I sold it off....Reasons below: 1. I felt the camera would be good as its of 13 mp but to my surprise it has a bad camera. I used samsung GS2,GS3,GS4,HTC ONE M8.. trust me M8 EYE has the worst camera amonst all the above except M8(one m8 rear camera was a hell). I recently took many more pictures in Juhu Beach,Mumbai and visited gateway of India,Mumbai. And all the pictures had a yellowish tint in broad daylight and details were not satisfactory. My GS3,GS4 and even GS2 used to take truer colours than this M8 EYE(I hate samsung s series bcoz of build quality and bloatware)And in indoors pictures are very grainy.Thinking it has a faulty lens I argued with HTC India and got a DOA and it was replaced by HTC.But I had the same issues with this m8 eye too.The conclusion is HTC indeed improved the rear camera of HTC ONE M8 by introducing HTC M8 EYE by upgrading the sensor but the quality is really much poorer than other 13 mp shooters. 2.Though speakers are really good bcoz of the speakers underneath, the phone has ugly big bazels on top and bottom and it looks awkward. 2.Front facing camera is degraded as it is not wide angle at all like the original One M8.. It can just cover your own face and not your friends' if used for selfies with someone. 3.The chipset is snapdragon 800 or 801? In android system info it says 800. In CPU-Z it shows 801. In Indian htc website it says 801 while tech support from HTC india says it has snapdragon 800 and only the chinese version it has 801. Whatever it maybe, in real life scenario I had hands on with both M8 and M8 eye and performance is little low in M8 eye(Clocked at 2.3 ghz compared to M8's 2.5 ghz). 4.The notification LED was a headache for as it does not have multi colour options.For mails,whatsapp,facebook, charging etc I like different colour notification But this isnt available for this device as it has only two colours option. 5. I am a bit tinkering type but there is no root option available for M8 EYE anywhere on the web.(M8 Has but not M8 EYE). Apart from all the above, other things are good with this phone. But It was not my cup of tea and especially the camera was big dealbreaker for me.

  • Bought it yesterday despite all the confusion around chipset. The set has MSM8974Pro-AA chipset, which is 801 (as per HTC tech support in India) and CPU-Z. While one more app classified it as 800. As per Anandtech specs, there is hardly any difference except DSDA and EMMC support between MSM8974AA in 800 and 801 version. Anyways it was not a decision changer for me. I had my reservations on android in the past, and have rather moved from IOS to Win (N925) instead. Post Lollipop launch and lack of innovation at Win level, had to try a android and trusted M8one (eye) for it. So far experience has been good except camera as I have shifted from pureview lenses. guess its a tradeoff that I have to live with as of now.

  • Very true. There is an option of Sony xperia Z2 aswell. But then there is a personal preference of weather you are a HTC FAN or a Sony one. I have even use a Sony Xperia Z3, but found the Xperia UI, to be very clustered. After 4.4.4 update all the icons seems to be enlarged which is very looks pretty bad. When someone choose a phone, the experience you get on HTC one is much better than Xperia, rest all of the points you mentioned is present on Xperia.

  • Only STUPID will buy this mobile when there Sony Xperia Z2 at the same price. Xperia Z2 beat this M8 is all aspects except the speakes , let me tell you Z2 is also stereo speakers with waterproof ,and its loud enough for everyone. Z2 Camera far superior, no match at all , 4k video, slow motion, variety camera apps, Z2 far better battery , almost 2days. Far better screen ,no match at all , IPS with new Live colour LED, with Sony triluminious , X -reality. Does HTC even have their technology?? Lol top of all waterproof, !

  • 1. HTC one m8 eye has slow motion video capture feature. 2. NO optical image stabilization features. Neither in M8 nor in M8 eye, due to dual camera. M8 eye is a little cheaper and have better camera. Htc one m8 will get lolipop update first. Now its your choice.

  • I have used both HTC one M8 and now HTC one M8 eye. IR, NFC, 801 chipset is not present. HTC one M8 front camera is wide angle lens which is Awesom, but M8 eye is not having that. Its a normal 5 Mp camera. Back camera is definitely better of HTC one M8 eye. As HTC one M8 eye is using the older snapdrogon 800 chipset, the lolipop update will definitely will be available in very end of 2015. Don't expect the update as soon as M8 gets the lolipop update.

  • If you are tight on your budget, better forget NFC, IR Blaster and RDS Radio. Buy M8 EYE which is still a M8 with 13MP rear camera or else be ready to shell out 8K more for original M8. Rethink before you buy i.e. analyse your requirements what apps you are going to use and what not. There are many features now a days offered by many mobile manufacturers which a user do not require or uses it only for testing purpose only. Choice is yours. Better buy according to your needs and requirements, Both are great guns, can fire equally.

I m using this phone for 15 days and it's a very nice fluid and comes with great in ear audio too.. Battery life is better than any phone with less or equal milli amp to this phone..

  • Its Snapdragon 800 for M8 Eye, You can check the specs on the box pack(I had checked) in any store. Its available around for 36,500 in India. Also IR is removed and many features of M8. If u spend 4 grand more you can get the original M8. I was also waiting for Eye version but then bought original M8 and believe me you wont regret ur choice. Its a masterpiece...

  • Hi!FM. This little monster has only SNAPDRAGON 800 CPU which might give a feel of older version. Feel cheated by HTC. Camera performance is lower in comparison to Original M8. Better stick to Original than EYE version. Also it is 8000INR cheaper than M8 in India.

  • 2g of ram is enough for htc sense(at least until now it's enough).as you know htc with 2g of ram and equal or a few lower cpu dedicates faster and soft speed and no bug or error.you can see speed test between M8 and other barnds flagships.even m8 runs many apps faster than iohone 6(but not all).M8 was the first android phone that beats iphone 5s in speed test... htc UI works better than other brands UI and doesn't need to increase the ram.maybe 3g ram is necessary just for 4K recording or 4K display. htc doesn't play with number and doesn't cheat the costumer.good luck my friend

  • Rather than making the phone thinner htc should make the lower bezel smaller and equal to the upper bezel in size so the screen would come exactly in the center of the phone and the speakers placed equistant on both sides. The only major flaw in htc one and desire dual speaker phones is the large bezel at the bottom which results in unequal spacing of the screen and speakers and also makes the phones unnecessarily taller than conventional phones of the same scren size. But in htc butterfly S and butterfly 2 there is symmetry in screen and speaker placement though they don't have the elegance of one series. So I am expecting that symmetry and flawless desgn in M9.

  • I dont like any other brand than htc. htc is the best looking and best built. But I am waiting for M9.I don't like M8 or any other htc dual speaker phone In the One and Desire series cause they don't have symmetrical design.Their screens are not placed in the center of the phone and the lower bezel is larger than upper bezel and the speakers are not equidistant because of this. These are the only cons I see in htc.   • Hey if any one want to buy M8 Eye remember one thing.If u want to apply duo effects after taking pics(applying bokeh etc) ,remember the final edited pic will be saved in less resolution in 4 MP photo size.So if want 13 MP can go for E8 dual SIM If u r particular about duo can,go for Original M8 which has lots packed in.

  • I bought M8 eye.It's Good.But I feel M8 is better than to buy M8 Eye.Because No NFC.No IR.No MHL.No Barometer.Why HTC has cut soo many features.Only Left with one plus ie 13 MP Cam.For duo effects we apply after the picture is taken.So image is saved with less resolution.People better go for M8.First is always best.

  • bought this phone yesterday. Its surprising that the magnetic compass doesn't work properly considering this is a flagship phone of htc. The camera is worse than 4 times cheaper micromax a110q which i owned earlier. Incoming calls get disconnected on their own but i believe this is manufacturing defect.

I installed CPU-Z and Android system info both on this phone and in CPU-Z its shown as snapdragon 801 whereas in Android system info its shown as snapdragon 800.The entire thing very confusing....

Go for older one with ultrapixel camera, NFC, IR Blaster & you will really appreciate HTC. A big NO to HTC M8 EYE.

  • Guys I am very happy with my HTC m8 dual sim....thou the eye has less specs than m8 ....n NFC ...no infrared also so no remote....I am happy I got HTC m8 dual sim....I think ultra pixel camera is great.... I have lumia 1020 as my main driver so I am happy

  • 2GB of Internal RAM is too week (You get 9 tabs running and it the device starts to crash after). 16GB of ROM on the inside is also too small as after you install a few applications your device will start to tell you that you are low on memory. Many applications can not be moved to SD card. Last but not least no 805 Snapdragon and CAT 6 LTE. HTC Executives are always cheap and stingy. Why can't they release a new smartphone with good specs instead of one that is like all others with specs??

  • Hi FM! HTC ONE M8 EYE has no NFC. Audio amplification is reduced. 13MP camera upgradation without 4K video is ordinary feature now a days. Photos that from 4 Ultrapixel are still better than this 13MP specially in low light. They look vivid and brighter. Zoe camera has different feature which is not satisfactory. Front speaker grills are now brushed metallic black where as on older one it was brushed metallic grey. Both HTC ONE M8 versions are having SENSE 6 UI which is breeze to navigate. Once you use it, you will definitely hate other interface. No pressure sensor (barometer) on HTC M8 EYE version. I purchased HTC ONE M8 EYE version on 21.10.2014 in INDIA and have tested & explored every feature in details and compared with my older HTC ONE M8 which I had purchased on 16th June 2014, I would recommend for older version.

  • Hey Guys! This model HTC ONE M8 EYE lacks NFC. The amount of power amplification to head phone jack is also reduced in comparison to its original HTC ONE M8 version. Baring this its rear camera has been upgraded to 13 MP which works as good as other 13 MP phone camera. The older version wih 4 Ultra pixel has better results, The ZOE camera feature on older M8 was better which had bright and multiple frames. M8 EYE lacks these punches. Rest is all repeat features, Nothing new to explore, I am having both the versions of HTC M8 and would recommend for older one and not EYE. Thanks.

  • I just use my polarized glasses for testing the glare on different kinds of phones. Base on my studies, SAMOLED produces less glare compared to LCDs which can harm our eyes in the long run.

  • Alright guys, I finally bought the HTC one M8 Eye, and it is SNAPDRAGON 800!!!! it is also on the box and the same is shown in CPU-Z app results. So I do not know why HTC put this OLD chipset, but I am happy overall with the phone.

The "Ultrapixel" technology was a complete bust, and I think they know it.   • To all who replied to my opinion about the screen and speaker positioning of htc's dual speaker phones.. I am not here to support any other brand. I love htc and want it to be perfect in design. Ergonomics shouldn't spoil the looks of the phone. If htc intentionally made the bottom bezel larger than the top bezel, why didn't they do it for butterfly S and butterfly 2 ? If you hold any of these phones in landscape mode, you will see that the screen is placed exactly in the center of the phone with both speakers at equal distance on both sides of the screen. So the screen's position is exactly in the center of the phone as well the speakers. So there is symmetry in the design of butterfly S and butterfly 2. It is like the comfort you feel when you place two external speakers on the left and right of a TV at equal distances rather than placing one speaker close to the TV on one side and the other one further away on the other side. For instance, see the dual speaker phones from Sony and Motorola. I agree none of them has the elegance of htc but Sony Z3, Moto G and Moto X have more symmetry in design with their screens in the center of the phone as well as the speakers with their compact and equal sized bezels at the top and bottom. Even when the onscreen keys are on, the viewable screen area also will come almost in the middle of the phone. Though the new htc desire eye has almost equal sized bezels at the top and bottom, one speaker is closer to the screen and the other is away from it on the other side. So all the dual speaker phones in the htc One and Desire series have asymmetrical design in terms of screen and speaker position. Hope htc would correct this by following the screen and speaker position pattern of the butterfly S and butterfly 2 in their upcoming phones. One more thing. I have seen the htc one m7 in real the only reason I didn't buy it was because of the irregular bezel size and ueven spacing of speakers. Right now I am using a phone which has even sized and compact bezels. I don't have any discomfort using it. In my opinion those who switch to compact bezel from large bezel phones may get used to it in few days time. Once again... I love htc and I am waiting for that perfect model from them, no other brand can match.

  • Htc m8 design is not perfect.It has large bezel at the bottom than at the top. So the screen is not in the center of the phone and speakers are not equally placed.if htc make bezels equal in size so the screen comes exactly in the center of the phone and place the speakers at equal distance, then it would be the best looking phone in the world.

  • Ugh, if only the M8 Eye was available in the states. The only thing keeping me from getting the original M8 was the camera. I don't see myself paying over $600 just to get this imported from China though. Not to mention I have no guarantee its even compatible with U.S. LTE bands.

  • Liar, you are liar, Camera is not bad at all, other lie is battery, battery is pretty good and I got the software update Eye Experience and now I'm super excited about M8. I'm using it from more than 5months, its the best one I ever had, Software is great, Speed is awesome, its fast, smooth, camera rocks in low light of course. Anyone who don't read reviews knows its camera is great for daily use.

  • All htc dual speaker phones including M8 has larger bezel at the bottom than at the top which spoiled the beauty of them. Now htc Desire eye with equal sized bezels which too is more compact is best looking design of all their dual speaker phones. The only thing that spoils the beauty a little is the huge 13mp front cam and led flash. If they had put a smaller cam instead of that,Desire eye would have been a marvellous beauty. Htc has also put dual front speakers on Desire eye which is not visible from the pictures released, without even increasing the bezels.

I too was planning to buy an htc since htc one x+, but didn't because I didn't like the placement of the usb/changing port on the side while other brands had it fixed at bottom center. Then in htc one they moved it to the bottom but that was not in the center at the bottom but to one side at the bottom and is still there on their latest dual speaker phones. The major flaw in htc dual speaker phones since htc one is the asymmetrical bezels at the top and bottom. Bottom bezel is unnecessarily larger than the top bezel this spoils the beauty of the phone as the screen is placed away from the from the center and now with the onscreen keys the viewable area moves further away. So when you hold the phone especially in landscape position you will notice that Instead of being exactly in the middle of the dual speakers, the screen is closer to one of the speakers. This not only spoils the aesthetics of the phone but also is annoying. Motorola has moto g and moto x latest models with dual speakers whose screens are exactly in the middle of the speakers that have equal sized and more compact bezels. Now sony too has come up with dual speaker Z3 which also has symmetrical bezels. htc should learn from them. I pray for this correction to happen in htc's all upcoming dual speaker phones. I have been waiting for more than 2 years for a near perfect design from otherwise my favorite htc.
