Good phone. Very strong. Even after falling, glass cover stays intact. Only problem is some software glitches. And currently outdated. Volume when calling is low. Not to be advised for people with hearing problems. Phone died 6 years after purchase.

Solid phone, got it used a few days ago. Pretty good phone. I'm surprised by how strong it is, though the top cover you remove to put in the sim is kinda flimsy. The Beats audio is a nice touch.

Guys Kindly help me because I have a problem on my HTC One S device. Yesterday I charged it and after some hours it was fully charged, I opened it but it won’t. I didn’t notice that the Memory of my phone is Full. My HTC One S could not be open. It’s just appearing on the screen ‘HTC… Do not distribute…Without HTC written permission’ until the battery runs out. It can’t be open. I already Factory Hard Reset my Phone but still it can’t be open. Before if you open it, it appears and load Cyanogenmod but now it wont. I bought this phone on March 07/2013, and it's still going strong today. I've never had an issue with it, never replaced the battery, or any parts. I've taken thousands of pictures with it, dropped it many times, drove over it once while camping, lost it twice and had it returned, I've been through a few protective cases, and I still love this phone. I love the Beats Audio on it and no phone I've found has ever come close to such great music quality from a smart phone. I've tried other brands of phones, supposedly much better, but I keep coming back to my HTC One S, cuz Beats is the best! I'm thinking of buying up a few used ones that work because I know I'll never find a newer phone that will match the audio quality. I even tried the Alcatel Idol 3 with the JBL sound system, it's great, but Beats is better. Apple claims to have great sound, it's great, but Beats is better. My music is important to me, great pix are important to me, and a reliable phone is important to me. The HTC One S meets all my requirements. If it ain't broke, no point in replacing it!

Try an app called Cleanmaster! Tap "clean junk" and it deletes unnecessary stuff on your phone and yea it really works! Every time my storage is full I just do it with this app and get 500mb-1Gb more memory. It doesnt delete like photos or messages, only Junk,trust me. I ve been using this app for years and its perfect

I liked the phone when I initially got it...but its storage and age became appartent. T-mobile has warrantied me out of this phone 9 times! I am now getting another HTC, it was good at first. But if you are limited on apps and storage, the phone becomes slow and dated (which it actually is now). Took great pics but other phones have caught up. If you get one...do not get a refurbished version. If you do not use your phone much and store a lot of music and apps...you should fine .

I have done a backup to contacts, apps, messages, and other datas from storage, and then performed a factory reset. After that all storage info worked as proper. Hope will work for you!

since i start using HTC One S phone i never think of buying any other ype of phone because all that i need is with it. it is very portable, smart and the battery last long. the only thing that discourages me is that, it never showed me any signs of problem till it just goes off with 80% battery charge and that is hw it ended up to date without powering again neither accepting USB connection to the computer. so i will be very pleased if i could know the exact problem of it whether it is the engine or the battery. so please help me with the relevant information about its problem.

The design of this phone was and still is ahead of it't time. Apple, LG, Samsung are using the same design in their flagship products today. The battery is pretty good also. I am using my for three years, there are some problems, but nothing serious. Too bad that HTC stop supporting it very early.

This phone was so ahead of its time that HTC stopped support for the phone not long after releasing it, afraid to not out-sell ONE X. I have it since mid-2013, I have traveled with it in more than 20 countries, dropped it so many times on the ground, on rocks, on stairs, on the kitchen tiles all over the world and it still works a-ma-zing!!! Except for its small battery life-span and sometimes random restarts (I guess it comes with the territory after dropping it so many times). I will change the phone in the next 12 months, but it's been a great companion

It's Oct 2015 and my 2015 Black HTC One S with S4 chip is still going strong. Sleek and beautiful. I wish HTC would remake this with a 4.7 screen and beefed up. It is easily one of the best phones ever. A true classic if ever there was one.

I bought this phone in September 2012 and it's still running like almost new. I have been searching excuses for changing it for long now and to have a new one but not being able to find too many. One reason for trying to change is the battery life and very low loud-speaker output. The sound through loud-speaker is barely audible and often I miss my calls. Other problem is the battery life. It just reduces so fast even if the screen brightness is set at auto. None the less, it's one of the best phones ever, solidly built, great performance ( even better than some of these latest quad/octa core processor enabled phones-mine having 1.7 Ghz dual core), great daylight picture quality, excellent brightness. I will miss my three year long friend!

I've had it for over two years now and it still works and is not so common for smartphones to outlive their warranty. Of course it isn't perfect i have a bit of a problem with the primary camera but all in all it still works nicely. Way to go htc!

The phone looses often the reception of mobile (internet) service and has problems at dial-in in rural areas (the problem is maybe a weak booster). HSPA+/H+ (3.5G) is possible with this phone.

You're probably still using the ice cream sandwich (v4.0). You'd need to upgrade to jelly bean (v4.1). Use frama root. Its a one click root app for android. It will root your device and install super user automatically. Hope this helps.

You need to unlock the boot loader and update it from 2.15 to 2.16 then install a custom recovery. My HTC one s (Ville) is running sense 6.0 and running like a dream :) you need to do homework on this to update. You will need a computer running Windows 7 or so as the adb doesn't support Windows 8 yet

Agree on the strength, this phone is a trooper. I've dropped it numerous times and apart for scratches on the side screen has been intact. Great value for money while on market, unfortunately now outdated.

I have this phone( HTC one S phone) which i have used for about 5 months now. The problem with it is that, whenever i put on either Wi-Fi or mobile internet, all icons on the desktop (Actually the window) disappears and re-appears repeatedly for a few seconds, but when i press and hold the "home" button, nothing happens. I've had this phone for almost 3 years. I absolutely love it, especially the screen strength. I've (accidentally) dropped it several times on pavement and tile, and only got a slight dent on the corner. I recently dropped it on the sidewalk, and now have a small scratch on the screen (you'd have to reflect light off of it to see it). Meanwhile, IPhones screens crack left and right.

I've had the black version of this phone for a while, and I have to say, it performed superbly the past year I've had it. First, it's quite thin, and I have to say, it felt great in my pocket, and felt lightweight in my hand, and was comfy to hold. The ceramic feel of the phone did provide some grip but was otherwise smooth. The ceramic's smooth appearance doesn't last long either; you'll start to see the grey metal underneath reveal itself after quite a few charges, but it still holds up decently. It also unpleasantly attracts sweat, so I recommend a case. The Gorilla Glass does its job as well; I've dropped this svelte baby a couple of times but the screen miraculously stayed solid and refused to spiderweb easily. The only impact that was noticeable was a small white dent on the edge of the screen, but that was pretty much the only damage it's taken. I recommend purchasing Diztronic's case on Amazon or Ebay, it's a great case and the matte texture provides more grip and the case properly covers the phone up with little space and retains its svelte size and weight. The screen protector that comes along with it is also a great one despite its seemingly cheap exterior. Specs-wise, the phone is fluid and smoothly processes everything. I've never had much lag except for a small jutter here and there, but nevertheless it was smooth sailing. Storage wise, it's sad the battery isn't removable nor there's an SD card slot, but that's the price for making the phone as thin as possible, and it's worth it. One thing to note is that you don't get completely 16 GBs; the system takes up 4 GB; leaving 2 GB for apps and 10GB for music. The amount of crapware on this is cumbersome, and I recommend rooting your phone to take advantage of that precious storage, as you'll need it. I was able to store up to 256 songs so far on this, with each either being MP3 and OGG files of 10-15MBs, and FLAC files of 20-25MBs each, and there was still a great deal of 7GB to spare. The 1650mAh battery provides decent power, and I was able to last about roughly 4 hours at 70% brightness, a few videos, some YouTube, and some app usage, and an hour of constant music playback. This is still a phone that demands a charge every night. Now, onto the display. The AMOLED screen is great; decent viewing angles in the sun, although you'll still have to bump up the brightness to 100 to remotely even view anything, and it certainly does its job of keeping the phone's weight slim and saving up the battery. Note, however, the RGB matrix is the accursed PenTile, and you can identify the pixels by looking really closely at the screen, but this isn't really bothersome in everyday daily usage, so not to fear! The resolution is a let-down as well, but pixel density is a nice 256ppi, so text will come out clear. However, it'd be nice if HTC didn't replicate the Sensation in this department and instead outfitted the One S with a 720p display at the very least. Nevertheless, I give the screen a rating of 6/10. Not bad. Sound playback is also great, but the stock HTC player and Google Play don't match up well imo. I recommend getting Poweramp to negate this. And the camera. This isn't a portable Canon, but HTC's new camera tech does provide decent lighting and nice options. The lack of autofocus is really annoying, though, as it inhibited my ability to take a good selfie. The camera's decent, but don't expect any breathtaking portraits. I never really tested the video, but it was somewhat fluid and ran nicely, so it's fine. However, the colors are rather parched slightly, and light does become rather puzzling and drained, so that's one thing to look out for. In general, I give this phone a 7/10. Not a powerhouse, but it's a great fighter.

The HTC ONE S is one of the best phones I've ever had. I started using it in March 2013. The 8mp camera is great - pix & videos, signal strength is great 95% of the time, WiFi is great 99% of the time, storage is very good, wish it had a micro SD card slot though. I get about 1.5-2 days use before recharging and I talk, text, & use WiFi alot. Pix are great and easy to download. Fast response time on the web. Some nice features like taking pix while shooting vids, easy to use multiple tabs while online, great texting, slim light weight design, very durable - I've dropped it over a dozen times and just the Gorilla case is cracked - the phone is still intact and perfect. I highly recommend this phone for the average and novice user, great for regular every day use and it's tough enough to handle regular useage too.

I have htc one s and it is a very good phone. The battery life resist even 3 days if you will not use it to often. Cam is decent having 8 mp and the dual core cpu with 1700ghz does its job well. Only game I played was fifa 2012 on it. The space of the phone is not very big, no card supported, but enough for me. Overall it is a good phone,what I don't like it is that I want a bigger screen and a better camera for small family video. This cam stabilization sensor is next so for that you will need a newer phone.

I am on my third HTC One S (first one "lost" in Cuba, second one for real lost in canadian winter, third one screen burn from an app I use all day at work.) My battery app has shown this phone at -39 Celsius and still working alright. (till its under 40% battery) This was all winter in canada at night mind you. For its age it still; is quite responsive, plays any app or game out there and so slim and sleek I get comments to this day. BONUS its only a hundred bucks used nowadays woot woot I'd buy ten! PS works pretty much anywhere in the world I've been to and needed some local text or phone action .

This one's a keeper. While the setup isn't the best, it certainly packs a punch. I have the black micro-arc oxidation version, and I like the feel of the ceramic. However, it also attracts quite a lot of sweat and doesn't last forever; you'll start seeing the metal underneath around the microUSB port. The AMOLED screen is great, but the PenTile display gets annoying once you start seeing minuscule dots in your reds and various colors. The screen definitely won't break after a drop; that Gorilla Glass can take a few drops on the sidewalk fine. The phone's size overall is the same as a Sensation, although it's far more streamlined and thinner. This'll fit in any pocket, although in order to achieve that svelte thinness, it doesn't have an SD card slot, nor can the battery be removed. The battery lasts for a decent amount of time; I managed to get around 3~ hours with normal usage. Overall performance is great, it doesn't lag as much at all. In fact, lag is mostly nonexistent. However, the storage is roughly the same as an 8GB iPhone 4S, and even less thanks to all the crapware. Another downside is that the phone won't get an update to KitKat at all, which is sad seeing that it would be able to handle it. I recommend that you root the phone to negate these inconveniences. Other than that, this is a solid powerhouse. Even better is that it's quite cheap, around $250. Get it while you can, you won't be disappointed.

Yes.It is possible but you will need some tools to open the phone.Look for a battery that sells with those tools as i did and the change was quite easy

You have to plug in headphones to use beats audio, it doesn't work with the headphone speaker. Check the box at Power Saver at battery option an you will get a decent battery life from it and no this phone is not a competetor to Galaxy S4 by any chance.

When u would to use kitkat, u have to root the phone. Then in recovery menu u should flash the cyanogenmod 11. U could do that if do u have a HTC One S (S4). Its a bit complicated for HTC one S (S3), while it's hard to find a good ROM... but its a very good phone. Its 2 year old my htc one s, there weren't any problem with the phone:-)

I think it's quite normal; the One S has a lower resolution plus it has 2 Krait cores while those 4 of the One X are of the somehow slower Cortex A9. In many benchmarks and in real life too, the S is reported to be snappier than the X.

I do experience the same problem with my htc one s i think it has to do with your data network when d fone data network is down it start going back to the home screen just try and switch your data network off and wait for it to be strong or leave the spot you are to another place cause sometimes it has to do with where you are atimes you might notice these happens when you are in a particular place but if you leave it stops.

Got one for my wife and even though it's almost 2 years old, in many aspects it's better than many $450 phones of 2013: -It has MHL (which not even the HTC One Mini or Galaxy S4 mini have), so you can connect it to a TV/projector with a $10 adapter. -One of the fastest and most detailed cameras and except for games and stupid benchmarks, its faster dual core is usually better than a slower quad core, so it is terribly fast. -Superbly elegant and light when smartphones today are going the opposite, bricky way. Even though 2014 is here, I think this is still the best phone for around $200 if you can live with 16 GB of storage and if you can sleep at night knowing you can see the pixels when your nose touches the screen :P

The only two problems are the front facing camera and pentile display. If these problems were not there the phone will be the best phone for me for another 4 years. I have bad news for you, your unit was the HTC One S C2 and not the legit HTC One S with 1.5 GHz Dual Krait Cores. Check your GPU, if it's not Adreno 225, then that's the HTC One S C2 model which horribly features old power hungry processors that is overclocked to 1.7 GHz just to come at least par with the speed of the Dual Core Krait.

Hi, You can upgrade your phone to newer Android versions using cyanogenMod as an example. I used this guide and with some works and effort I now have a full working android 4.2.2 on my htc one S I also put the google package on my phone with gmail and so on. With some knowledge and strong nerves it's not too challenging, but you need to be used to computers and not afraid for a small challenge.

I've been using this phone for a year.And , this phone really surprises everyone with its beautiful design and gorgeous camera.Really, the camera is top notch, the thin and metal design surely adds a cherry on the pie.I can run most of the games.But , looking at the current phones which are releasing right now.I'd still prefer HTC One S.I have no regret.Love my phone. Design -5/5 Camera -5/5 (Not much in low light ,but you do get a flash) Processor - 4/5 (Still can run most of them smoothly) Screen - 5/5 Battery -4/5(With the 4.1.2 update , it's been better) Heat problems have been neutralized with the update.

I have had my htc One S for about a year now. I have one complaint. I can't really talk on on this phone. Most of the time the people cannot hear/understand me. sometimes they can. I put a really nice cover on it designed for this model. For a bit i thought the cover was making the calls sound muffled or worse. So i took the cover off and did the same thing. I have held it close and far and what do you do with a phone that no one can hear you on? I guess go out and try a pricy blue tooth? Idk.

recently got this phone, nothing but problems can't get thru to HTC. the back seems to be soddered on so can't remove to put SIM card in. finally called t-mobile and was told they don't even carry this phone any longer because of the problems many of the phones have. i can't use mine at all and i have been checking reviews al over. it is very difficult to find this phone as they are apparently on a close out. hope this helps.

Do not waste your money on this phone (like I did). Mine is with S3 processor, and it gets HOT, really hot within 20 minutes of usage (more than 41 degrees C). The battery is too small and if you have to use it normally and regularly I doubt that it can last for a day. Oh, and as I mentioned in another post - NO JB 4.2. What annoys me most, is that much weaker phones run on 4.2, but the apparent policy of HTC is to make you buy a new one. I may go for a new one, BUT IT WILL NOT BE AN HTC, NO MORE!!! I love this phone.With 1.7 Ghz dual core processor, Great camera, good display, its a sheer pleasure to use this phone. Every game runs like charm. In terms of benchmark score i got 52.8 fps in nenemark 2 and in quadrant standard it scored 4602 and another good thing is that this phone is beautifully carved and it is the sexiest phone i had ever seen.

I also wanned to buy Xperia V / Xperia SL as its way better (on paper any way ;)), but 4 plp that had newer Xperia phones switched to something eleg pretty fast. They said that Xperia was "freezing" and that sometimes they couldn't end conversation untill other side didn't hang up. I'm switching to One S from One V as well. I went to the store today just to see One S in real, and i tried it for 5 mins - it looks and feels great, its imho very light (seems so much lighter than One V and Desirae HD that i used before) but still is very firm because its alu made. And guy in the store has One X and he said that One S is almost identical in real life and that i shouldn't "just" read numbers in brochures. And that 2cores on One S and 4cores on One x work almost identical. And in my country One S is approx 50-60 euros less than One X so im going with S.

Its buggy with multiple restarts, poor camera (Led flash activated with night mode can't be deactivated), Poor build, glass front & back?poorer screen, bad sound! HTC One S (S4) is better built(metallic), better camera with HDR and better display with excellent battery stamina. Quad Core is just a gimmick with no apparent performance difference, besides its still quite unstable! The dual Core S4 is extensively applied in many middle range phones, HTC ONE S, HTC 8X, Lumia Wp8 devices, etc. HTC One X is excessively larger, with LCD Display in contrast to HTC One S's superAMOLED. The CPU and GPU on HTC One S (S4)excels Htc One X. The only phones better than One S 'in this price range' are probably Xperia V(Android) and Lumia 820(WP8)

I'm biggest HTC Fan.And I wanted to say that HTC is the best designable mobile brand but it also has some weakness.The weakness is that It does not think well when release a flagship of its year.Just look at the HTC One "Best in Class 2013".I'm impressed with its features like Ultra pixels,Boomtech sound,Zoe,Screen,Performance and design.The Neglibility of HTC in releasing the flagship is that it do not support Expandable storage,User interface of HTC One,One X,One S,etc.,waterproof technology,etc., and a battery life.Due to this problems the HTC Lacks behind in every year.I know that it is well defined brand but do not give much power to its flagship.The Apple is not better than the HTC but of popularity of people it rises.Just compare the iPhone 5 with HTC Desire S,Desire V,Desire X and Desire 600.The HTC's are have better function and apps better than iPhone 5.The HTC Desires has same weight of iPhone 5 but the HTC's do not have popularity due to low battery life.People like iPhones more better but I like HTC more better.The HTC should design the next flagship like HTC Droid Incredible 4G LTE which is also competitor of iPhone 5 and I compared them and the Droid Incredible is better.My Father has iPhone 5 which I didn't find any useful function in it,It is just standard but cool in looks.By using the weakness of HTC like user interface should be so cool in which a person shocked to see the home screen and Application menu.HTC can be at the top of S4,iPhone 5S,etc.So,I want HTC to release a another flagship in next or this year which do not leave any MicroSD Card Slot,Water proof,Cool User interface not like the iPhones or Samsung,Long battery life, superior design,Ultrapixels of HTC One,Boomtech sound,Zoes.By this functions the HTC could be in the top of the eyes of peoples.Love you HTC.I hope you follow this instructions.Thank you.

My s advance is a super amoled type, and i am sad since my s advance has screen burn in. I really hate it, cause it ruins the quality of the screen. You can switch off and on the router. I have the same issue after upgrading to jb. And the battery last shorter after jb upgrade. Try to erase you wifi acces point and re-set it back. Or when you are in the presence of an know wifi access point deactivate battery saver or economy mide or whatever it's called.

I have just received an software update. A patch in amount of 30 MB. I can't tell you for now how it is but i've upgraded mine. Is still android 4.1.1 and sense 4+, but i hope will increase battery life that i have lost when i got jb updrade. My htc one s is a t-mobile from Germany. I live in Romania. the one s is better for sure. the camera is better specially with the colors , the cpu and gpu are faster , the body has very impressive quality , also the super amoled screen is perfect , samsung has better battery but not with a large gap.

Pretty much the only difference between the one S & x is the screen size. Performance is hardly noticeable between the two. I have a one S cos I found the one x's screen a stretch when using with one hand. Have had the one S for more than half a year now. No problems.

I have own a few HTC phones before like the Sensation XE, ONE X, Desire X, Wildfire. I must say that the build quality is very good, almost of same quality level as Iphone. The OS is also very stable, very rare do you find hanging problems. It is also very user friendly.I do find it more user friendly then Iphone. Do not be misled by marketing effort from the Korean brand, do compare the build quality and the same price level phones and you will understand what i am trying to make many people realise that htc is a good handphone brand but may be a little high price.

I never encountered any kind of lag while playing these games: Shadowgun deadzone , Dead Trigger , Six Guns , NFS MW and Shift , Riptide GP , Iron man 3 , amazing spider-man , temple run 2 , subway surfer , CHAOS and Real football 13. The Nena mark score i get is always around 59 fps , sometimes 58.5 and some time 59.5fps . You will notice some lag if you turn on some kind of power saving app or the one which comes preloaded with Jelly Bean. I must tell you that battery life is'nt as great , it only lasts a day of normal use and some gaming. If you really are buying this device please consider the Cons like Low battery , No micro sd card , if u can live with these , this is the best device with an amazing camera! GO FOR IT!

Sorry for the incomplete answer , My phone is running on Jellybean 4.1.1 with sense 4+ and it is a 1.5 ghz S4 chipset version , Quadrant scores around 6300-6400 and Antutu scores around 11,000 . Please also note that my phone is loaded with 95 apps and 15 HD games so scores might just be better on a new one.

This phone was, for a time last year, HTC's flagship. It was a great phone then and it remains a very good phone (especially @ its current price point (see Amazon.com). On the plus side, call quality, screen resolution, audio, & Snapdragon processor are all excellent. Although the One X & X+ are considered the One S' bigger brother, the One S outperforms the One X on "Quadrant Standard Benchmark." The only true downside to this phone in almost 5 months of daily use is the battery, which a 1650 mAH needs frequent re-charging. I just received the OTA update to Android 4.1.1 (great news considering the wait) but also impressive given HTC's recent focus one the One & First. Too soon to comment on functionality yet but initial impressions.....a very good phone just got whole lot better. If you buy it, you won't be sorry (as long as you can stay focused on what you have) and not what you don't have (HTC One, Droid DNA, Butterfly, etc.). Enjoy!!!!

Basically, you then completely loose control over your phone. After using most of recent high end smart phones, I think that one S is one of the best smart phones regarding its design, speed, performance and extra features. It is not far behind Iphone 5 in terms of reliability and speed.It is far better than Galaxy S3. Only drawback is its fixed 16 GB space availability, but I think this can be handled. Jelly bean has added more swiftness to this phone. I will recommend this phone for all.

One should know that if you are getting One S with qualcomm S4 krait cpu that is 1.5 dual core that is more efficient in performance than the Xperia SL Qualcomm S3 chip that is not efficient as the S4 chip and even the Xperia SL don't comes with S4 chips version even, be sure to get the HTC One S with qualcomm S4 chip with 1.5 dual core not the S3 chip HTC One S and even the S4 chip comes with with better adreno 220 gpu that has better gpu clock than on S3 that is adreno 220.

Nice phone, very nice performance lightning speed with the dual core 1.5ghz processor and 1gb of ram. Matched with Jellybean 4.1.1 and HTC Sense 4. The only issue here is the battery, if you like to travel you should bring a charger. Overall very nice phone! HTC rocks!

To all the people asking Samsung or HTC and asking about battery life. HTC or Samsung is a matter of preference, I find the HTC's to be much better phone to hold and they just feel higher quality. I have had the One S since June 2012 and it has been brilliant. The battery has improved in 4.1 Jellybean, I have has my phone running for 16 hours now and it is still at 39% (this is with normal use, 30-40 SMS messages and about 40 mins of calls plus facebook browsing every now and then). I want from an iPhone 4 to the One S and it has been a very pleasant phone to live with.

Even , I had the same problem from my peers. Well , the only thing I would say , if your going for Style and Performance , HTC ONE S , is your thing. My friends, told me Samsung was better , but I didnt listen to them , bought my HTC one s , and it works like a charm . No hanging , no freeze. It plays all the games buttery smooth. But, theres one catch , the back heats up (which isn't a major isssue). Screen quality is AWESOME.ULTRA THIN. My friends were shocked to see the thickness of this phone. MINDBLOWING. If you're not into HTC , buy Samsung Grand , S2(which looks just like any other phone).

I'm using the One S (S3 processor) since beginning of November. I must say that HTC has indeed done an excellent job with the design of the phone. Many say that S3 processor (1.7 GHz) is slow and the phone hangs. However, I must clarify that inspite of playing resource hungry games like Ingress, Temple Run 2, Beach Buggy, F18 Flight Simulator, Train Sim simulator etc. I have never come across a single instance of the phone slowing down let aside hanging. As far as the battery is concerned, on using Idea 3G through the day with auto sync (mails, weather etc.) and whats app, with which the battery lasts around 22 hrs between charges. Prior to this phone used Nokia's flagship camera phone N73 ME with Carl Zeiss lens and I must say that this one is the only phone in true sense which is better than that. Music is average and could be better (maybe due to stock headset). Sense 4.1 from HTC does not have any bugs and does not make the phone seem laggy. Camera interface is brilliant and with burst mode and panoroma it gets even better. Sunlight visibility is excellent and touch screen is extremely responsive. Finally, I must say that I do not regret buying HTC One S with S3 processor and for those who think S4 is better, think again and do not miss the opportunity. Just consider, I don't even have to reboot my phone once in a week due to slowing or hanging. I believe that says it all.

I have a htc one now for 3 mths and almost from the start soft ware issues. It takes forever to load the phone book, alot of times when trying to make a call the screen goes black and takes 4-5 attempts before you can actually call! Most annoying. I really like the phone if it would work properly.

Well 4.04 update was released somewhere in august or September may be you should have received it uptill now. My HTC One s does not go to sleep at all. When I first go ti, the screen would go black when not in use but from the blue, the screen shows the unlock ring and time when not in use. I did the software update on 03/01/13(which cost me lots of bandwidth)and the update seems to have addressed the home button issue. The home button was pressing itself repeatedly like 5times/second when you are in a location with weak signal. I checked yesterday and that seems to be all sorted. Thanks HTC for the update. Very major improvement too on the music, the arrangement of playlist, artists, display, its just to die for. Also noticed addition of Media Link HD (problem is its pretty hard to get the HTC HDMI accessories) Another very notable improvement is the power saver, this damn thing has doubled my battery life! Guys if you haven't done this update you better, you are missing out on the HTC sense 4+ and Jelly bean.... and so many other things:-)

(1) beats audio hands-free is not offered by HTC itself with the One S and even it may not be offered in future but it do comes with beats audio software engine in media player you can buy the hands-free separately from market. (3) I haven't experienced any of home button issue I don't think so there is any. (4) One X is also good phone but some users having issues WiFi connection droping even near by reported as well as some having speaker issues too but WiFi one is particular. I'm having if you can buy Samsung galaxy S 3 its good phone too. (1) Samsung galaxy S3 good due to hardware and features. (2) One S due to overall good phone slim , smart and performance is not bad too from S3 and One X if you have HTC phone S with Qualcomm S4 chip. (3) One X is good phone but scare of hardware issues reported by users not recommending it to you. (4) Sorry No idea about Indian market pricing check your local store for that.

For all those who are saying the ONE S is out of stock in India ,I got the reply from managers in US and Taiwan and here it goes : This is a reply from one of the senior managers of HTC : "Hi there Sahil. I've been told it's simply out of stock at many Indian retailers. Popular products tend to do that. :-) There's nothing to tell people other than if they want the product, they need to tell the reseller to order more"

Yaa they are giving 1 month warranty because the handset is unlocked and shipped from USA, so htc is not going to provide any warranty.

I will suggest you that adjust your display brightness to the lowest because it consumes the highest degree of battery and make sure if your not using WiFi, Bluetooth, auto sync or internet than turn it off. Well its true that non of the HTC phones have a good battery life but I pick it because of their unique in design, built quality, software customization design and weather animation is unique.

Hi Farah Can u please let everyone know about the version u purchased? s3 or s4 For most of the android smartfones the battery life is just 24hrs. My one S stays for atleast 40hrs with Edge,around 45mins-1hr of calling ,browsing -30mins,music-2hrs

Hi,,I just bought this last week the phone has good shape n features just day the battery life is poor,, like currently m not using internet in the phone only normal use for calls n message but battery drains very fast within 20 hours of time the phone was on idle,,this is really a dissapointment from my side. its far better than :) I am an android user from past 4years. Usually battery of any smartphone lasts for a day or so. but surprisingly the battery of my One S is lasting for almost 2 days with average use :) For better results I will suggest to purchase the s4 version of HTC ONE S. I heard that the battery is ok ok in s3 version :(

Im using one for about 3 months and I think the battery life is better than others android phone, usually I get five hours with a little use and couple hours using a lot but with the One s i get about double time, I get out to work at 8am and come back about 5pm making a some calls texting and surfing a little and still have 10% of battery, so I think that is a lot better than the phones I used before

Will reply as soon as i get any response For the time being I will request you guys to hold on cos may be the new variant with S4 processor and 64GB space will come by new year :D
