HTC Touch Pro - User Reviews

  • You may need to buy a new phone. This device has been discontinued.

  • This phone had battery life that was worse than the HTC Touch Diamond. The battery did not feel like it was 1340 mAh, it felt more like 800. Apart from the god-awful battery life, it was one of the better PocketPC phones I used.

  • It's touch pad is good. The camera is BAD. the tone of the picture is yellowish, very dark when the light is even okay. Not sure what's the problem. Most fraustrated problem is one of my friends' picture mail to me, can't be expanded...A phone's camera is big to me, therefore, it's hard to like the phone with limitation like this.

  • over all good phone...but very bad battery backup

  • can this support mmango os?

  • I hear what your saying and todays full touchscreens are a miserable mess...For starters you lose real screen estate becuase of the silly on screen keyboard offerings of today..The windows fones ive had many but having a real keypad and full D-Pad for precision is lost on todays silly touchscreen devices..Apple started this silly craze and every stupid manufacturer followed saying iphone killer every sodding day..We want productivity and tapping at a piece of glass which 90% of the time does not register is agitating and pathetic..I want a real button you press and it registers that press with a resounding click that actually registers 100% of the time... I cannot wait till this full touchscreen fad is dead and buried and we return to candybar/clamshell designs with real buttons..Ok give them a big screen but give us real D-Pad buttons for control and real screen estate.

  • When this phone was announced in 2008, I was already a Windows Mobile user. At the time, iPhone had been launched, but it did not appeal to me because I wanted a phone that offered greater productivity features. A phone without a keyboard can be quite limited for my needs, since I use phones to write emails, as well as ptoduce/edit documents. I was a student in London at the time this phone came out, and I was probably one of the first people to get this device. I always thought that Microsoft should not have targeted business users for these devices because this phone had a lot of useful features for students. This phone allowed me to record lectures, take notes, do online research, write essays, and also keep.up to date with my email. One of the best things about it was that I did not need to carry a.portable computer with me everywhere when I wanted to write. I could go anywhere and do my work, while a lot of students I knew at the time either lugged their chunky laptops everywhere, and had to find a place that offered a powerpoint an internet connection (in 2008 few people had netbooks, mobile internet was fairly expensive and not always practical to use with laptops when on the move). I had the advantage of using this device that gave me a few hours of very good usage and I was free to go anywhere to study. Although more and more people are likelier to use their phones as a study aid now, back then it was unheard of. I actually used the phone's autofocus camera as a substitute for photocopying, saved a fortune, and didn't have lots of paper everywhere. However, a few months after I bought it (August 2008 is when I got it), the touchscreen developed a fault. It had some kind of calibration issue which made the phone unusable. I sent it to HTC so it could be repaired but they sent it back without really fixing it (installing new firmware helped, but the hardware fault was still present). For a few months, I just put the phone away as I could not be bothered to send it for repairs again (because I was working full-time and just did not have the energy to deal with HTC). However, as it was covered by warranty and the phone was inherently good, I sent it for repairs again, and this time HTC installed a new LCD and the then-latest version of Windows 6.1. To say the phone surpassed user expectations would be an understatement. I got instant email on this phone, fairly decent internet access (for its time, internet was great, though today it it feels slow and limited. Still, most sites could still be accessed. In 2011, I broke the keyboard, and I was heartbroken because for me, as a writer and serial texter/emailer, this device is an extraordinary piece of kit. It has a fantastic keyboard, and Microsoft Word, which, as a writer is very useful. There are newer Windows and Android phones that have keyboards, plus lots of other features, but I am not prepared to purchase a new device because this excels in the basics, and those will always be the same. Sometimes usage is only limited to the basics. I don't think this device is great as a phone. It has a very laggy phone application and it can sometimes take ages to make/answer calls, but for texting and emailing, this is a great device. I don't have a sim in it anymore and use it over wi fi, and enjoy writing and typing when I need to, and for this purpose the phone will never be obsolete. I considered getting the HTC Touch Pro 2 but it was bigger and uglier. This phone looks very stylish, glossy and modern. The Touch Pro 2 looked a lot bigger and was similar to other keyboard based htc phones which is not a good look. I ask students and business users to seek this phone out. It still has a lot going for it, and.it would probably cost a lot less than many of the newer keyboard based phones, a lot of which offer the same core features.

  • Great little device to develop on.. until it got bricked.. Oh well haha

  • agreed. it lags so much and problems with GPS even after tweaking... I have 2 touch pro. 1 lcd problem after warranty... wont be getting another HTC or Windows

  • Amazin phone, only bad thing is battery and it get really hot when you surf the web for a long time.

  • bullshit

  • I did a lot of research on this phone, and I've got to say that I am sadly disappointed. I've had and used this phone for over 2 years now. The performance is sluggish. It's response time to open apps is way too slow. I am now having trouble connecting to networks. There is an annoying glitch where when I try to send a text message, the phone goes to email instead. The phone's keyboard is now at the point where the keys have to be pounded in order to register. It started with the spacebar so now its very annoying to send a simple text! Don't buy this old crappy phone.

  • good everyone just wanna ask what should i do..my touch pro cannt send any messages..the signal is ok and i have loaded but still i cannt send sms...and one thing i cannt also access my wifi..its looking for a personal certificate..this touch is very hard to access..i do all the things i know to access it but its no use.. please help me.. thankz..

  • awasome! This phone roks to the core!!!!

  • Update to TAEL Rom WM 6.5 very stabel and fast rom. Or love to run Dual boot WM and Adroid 2.3 Gingerbread. let's go to check forum.xda-developers.com (have all you need) Best wishes,

  • Best One i use it atleaset 8 Months... HTC is the best Quality product i must say......

  • how the perfomance of this hp?? it is great?? is it worthwhile if i want to buy it??

  • you guys dont know anything about phones do you? >all windows phones are smart phones. >smartphones have high specs, they never last battery life wise,if you want battery life, stick to java phones. >you can do more with the phone than the specs says if you just know what your doing ;)

  • 2 days to 3days

  • should i get this or xperia x1?

  • how long does the battery last? (number of days)

  • Fild the drivers in the XDA Forums. You have to sign up with their website (it's free) in order to download anything in their forums. Once you sign up, and you log into your account, you can perform a search within the Touch Pro/Fuze forum and it will find it for you. There are two versions. I believe you maybe even do a google search and find it.

  • Touch Pro is better, for sure. It looks and perform fantastic.

  • Do you think I should get this or the palm treo 500 which one is better

  • how to download 3d driver for touch pro, and what is diference with 3d drivers ?

  • is this phone a smartphone?

  • Best Mobile Phone of the year. Very good phone.

  • I would say to go onto XDA developers website to search for the 3D drivers for this device. I downloaded the community-made drivers, and they work great. I can get great frame rates for games like Xtrakt and Experiment13. Also, Def look into games and do searches on Google. To be honest, Windows Mobile is great for gaming, for those two examples Xtrakt and Experiemnt13. Also I have been playing Huff & Puff, Autumn Dynasty Lite, and Ivy the Kiwi. They are not the 3D games like Super Monkey ball on iPhone, but the graphics are beautiful and the game apps are really fun to play.

  • my touch pro is from norway its set in norwegian language how can i reset it to enlish setting

  • Then replace your battery dude

  • The battery dies very fast. It gives me max 2 hours backup and takes 3 hours to charge the battery :-(

  • the factory battery lasts the longest, about 4 hours of talk time, 14 hours of standby time if you don't use it for a messenger. Text and MMS messaging takes a good amount of battery especially if the brightness is turned up on the screen. If I spend 3 hours texting (yeah, I know) I will use up any battery, even the double thickness one I bought online here: (by the way, those batteries suck). Yet still, the benefits outweigh the deficits and I am still glad I have and use this phone.

  • how long does the battery last? like really, usually specs are not right, specs does not describe real life :D

  • Yes to both questions

  • How is the battery? is it possible, to install windows mobile 7 to this phone?

  • i am considering this phone as a business phone, so i wanted to know if it has the option of downloading and uploading attachments to emails? And also if there's an editing option when using the office? thank you very much!

  • Once I took off the Touchflo the device started working just fine with little lag. The device is reasonably reliable and easy to use. The Keyboard is one of the best out there I've had full Qwerty keyboards on most of my cellular phones. The display is bright and easy to read. Email works great, the camera is nice a take descent pictures. The phone is well built and has out lasted most of the other phones I've seen. Call quality is great. This is a great Productivity phone but not a gamer phone with all the bells and whistles like Android Phones and the iPhone.

  • throw it in the trash lol

  • cn sum 1 tell me hw or 4m whr shud i download android in my fone,u cn send me the link on [email protected]

  • I ended up getting this phone I won on ebay from an auction. I am very happy with the device thus far. I enjoy the games i can play on it (with the community made ATI 3D drivers), I love the connectivity choices and the touch screen is more sensitive than my old pocket pc, which I thought the touch screen was great on that too. I like the design of the device and the diamond-esque prism backplate. I am using the branded AT&T Fuze version so it does not have the front facing camera and it has the bloatware. The 3.2 Megapixel camera takes great photos. The User Interface is nice, though it does take some getting used to. I always liked Windows Mobile as my previous touch screen device was also a windows mobile phone. HTC does enhance the phone better than just the stock Windows Mobile base apps. What I like about the OS though is how customizable it is and you can change and/or add software that you can make your device how you want it to function and behave. You can really make the personality of the device reflect you. Overall, I really like the device with its sleek look and the power of Windows Mobile. HTC makes great devices and this is an example of making a nerdy pocket pc look sexy.

  • Agreed. Just bought this phone on newegg.com for $199 and install TAEL rom found on xda-developers. ROCKS! I'm very happy, since I didn't want to renew a 2 year contract with T Mobile just to get a upgrade from my old Tmobile Dash phone. GPS works great with Google maps. You can get voice turn by turn navigation using the Bing Maps Navigation App which is similar to Google Navigate.

  • I've had this phone for a couple of months. If you stay with original WM 6.1 it will be pretty boring,BUT if you change it to TAEL ROM it will be AWESOME phone. So if you are planing of buying phone like this you should start thinking of updating your ROM.YOU WON'T REGRET.The phone it's pretty good but tael makes it faster, better and louder, what was very strange for me.When I was talking with std ROM it was quet but now it's VERY loud.

  • so i have had this Phone for almost 2 years and had to replace 8 times this phone is a P.O.S seeing i get it when it came out and spent 500$ on the phone i had to replace 2 time in the 1st month of having it STAY WAY FROM THIS PHONE

  • i have one but my touch screen doesnt work anymore......so wht do i do?

  • my phone is on danish does anyone know how to translate it into English. please help my email is [email protected]

  • i have a htc touch pro i just got it is it normall for the keyboard not to work in a poor service area it seems the only time it works good is when i have real good phone service

  • call your carrier and they will update the rom version for you .

  • I would recommend TAEL ROM.. I don't see much problem with this phone, I'm a reseller mainly on touch pro, i bought used touch pro n upgrade to TAEL ROM, then resell at better value.. it's like you're owning a new phone bro.. with cool functions..

  • can u helped me,,,,,i have my Htc touch pro software info: OS version 5.2.23569(23569.5.5.0) MAnilla version 2.5.20121225.0_VGA_amarulz ROM version 01.Jun.2010 WWE use HTC sense but I have problem with My Video call...and MMS sending LImit only 1K/1K(saiz..so what should i do??should i change the ROM?or any other ideas??please...help me to solve my Video call and MMS probs....

  • TAEL, excellent ROM with HTC Sense 2.5!

  • TAEL is a great ROM for Touch Pro, give it a spin, u wont regret :)

  • i have this phone for six months now , half a year , with almost no problems at all , ( some keys are laggy at hardware keyboard need excessively be pressed) use and and you ll have nothing to worry about ! worth buying ....

  • have a look at xda developers to change the rom

  • check xda forum and flash english rom! go for android thats best

  • tech support in Cairo - Agouza ask for Jovi tronics beside Ezz El Arab - Agouza they are the offcial agents in egypt and they are good. they make take some time to get it done (one to two days) but they're perfect

  • Actually I find it is best to simply hit the power button to turn off the screen and lock the phone... The phone is great, just a bit bulky in the pocket. BTW the ability to customize the ROM along with the popular brewers out there on XDA forums, it is easy to find a suitable custom ROM

  • I love to hate that phone! This is not a good phone, the sounds is terrible, the screen not enough sensitive when you need it and too sensitive when you are carrying the phone. I called a lot of people against my will at every hours of the day or night. Thats one way to keep your friends! The keyboard is great for e-mail en texting, but the zoom is not good enough to see file or other business documents The battery does not even last one day when O keep the Bluetooth one, nor the screen lock itself automatically. Buy something else or write letter to you friend instead on having this bad technology. Go Blackberry or I-Phone . I would

  • htc should make it user friendly in terms of technical support, i got this phone from Europe and unable to use in India coz of its Swedish language... No authorized dealers are helpful in terms of installing English software????????? htc management should do something about this... my 45k in water....

  • Yes it has a video player...It's windows media player just like on the computers. Its pretty good, i have one myself.

  • does it have a video player or do we need to download a video player for this??? ty

  • no the phone is no rubbish the customer care service is here in alex besides all the accessories are provided in big retail stores

  • in my opinion this phone is almost perfect, one of the perfect things at this -pda,smarphone,phone,etc,etc,is the qwerty keypad, good job htc

  • This phone best thing, was / is / will always be it's keyboard. There ain't no competition to it. Why haven't they launch an updated Pro with it ? (Pro2 has same hardware, so don't bother) Rgarding to screen flickering its due its magnetic stylus, stop wearing and it will not happen again. The display will also display ghost's on it, due hardware defect plus magnetic parts on the device. The HtC Touch Pro without the magnetic stylus still has magnetic parts on it. Pass a magnet, like the one present on hard drives it will clean the ghosts but in a short time they will reapper. Chnaging lcd won't resolve anything, in time those ghosts will come back. GPS is hardware defect, there is some registry tweaking to try to solve, but some TP seem without solution. Check XDA, for answers. Throw it to garbage or sell it for parts. Touch Pro 1 / 2 are over, they have serious defects which compromise their durability. But is still a good mobile to throw at someone ;).

  • rubbish phone dim light screen problem has no solution and gps doesn't work need update and always give connection fail and no customer support in Egypt biggest mistake i did that buying this rubbish

  • Haah! This phone is not meant to play games on it...

  • the phone is excellent...

  • SMS and office writing languages for touch pro include Russian and Arabic?

  • no interesting apps compared to iphone or newer nokia phones..it will bore you if you're lookin for games or similar stuff...but the look is always stylish and the unique ringtones will get many peoples attention!! LOL :D

  • are there any good apps for this phone?

  • everything is great with my touch pro but for 2 thing: 1- the ringing level is very low although i set at the highest ringing level especially when you put in the pocket. 2- when you send sms which is pretty long such 5 pages to many people, it will send the same sms double or even tripple to the receivers. my bill also double.

  • I've got the screen problem as steve said and the flickery screen sometimes even loses its touchscreen ability and i have to just look at my phone and regret the buy! Can anyone plz help me whether i can fix this problem by goning to a local htc supportcenter or it doesn't worth it and maybe i've got to go for another phone!

  • I say no to this pda phone...i really regreat to sell my nokia N-series phone just to get this pda...the screen is the main problem for my htc touch pro...less than 6 months using it the screen flickering and now barely can't see anything on the screen...this is my 1st pda and htc really dissapoint me...i rather stick to Nokia N-series phone...i try to google bout the screen problem and millions of people got the same problem like me...so sad!!!

  • No ! Dont buy it, get a Blackberry Bold or something newer than touch pro. I've had this phone for almost an year now, and can't wait to change it. it sucks. Touch screen is mediocre, sound level is low (barely hear it if it's in the leather slip), battery is awefull - 1 day, maybe 1 day and half...depends what u do with it. Wireless is ok, but reception is kind of bad, always looses signal if u cover the antena, which u normally do cause it's located down. It has lots and lots of bugs..I've tried some upgrades, and it's even worse. Camera is not good unless u have a fair amount of sunlight. video - video what ? ... good Calendat tho :)) and sms thread view, easy typing...get a different phone ! trust me..u won't regret it...I am getting the bb Bold 9700 now. do the same...or try other HTC handsets...HD is really good

  • what sar value have this phone for europe? im from spanish and i want 2 buy this phone but for us sar value is very high. i'm waiting for an answer

  • Buggy as hell i had user it for over a year i have a htc hero Its allmoast buggless and so fast i.s.o. touchpro is as fast as a turd on a bicycle Android wins on WM

  • If you want MS Windows Mobile 6.5, with all HTC Sense 2.5 innovations, especially with the option Footprints in cooperation with the Google Maps service, then I recommend The Captain's Special ROM with the following link Works perfectly ...

  • To be clear, HTC Touch Pro is the most complete smartphone on the market. Excellent touch screen, comfortable keyboard, GSM reception quality, good 3mpx camera, quick GPS, WM optimized 6.1, G-Sensor Movement, an FM radio, WiFi stable, fantastic sound on the headphones, plenty of programs for windows mobile. Also, HTC Sense interface is incredibly user-customizable and good looking. Just a pleasure to have this phone. The best recommendations ..

  • IMPORTANT: Read the first link First (Sticky: [Resources] Flashing your First GSM Raphael Rom (For Noobs)) Later you can select any of the ROMS that you want to upgrade to.

  • Just get the Wimo 6.5.5 update with sense then this phone is fine. so much faster then stock 6.1, and 100000% more touch friendly then 6.1. then add swype txting so you dont really need your slideout qwerty anymore. yay

  • i dnt grasp why htc are so repudiate to reduce their prices dis phone cost R7.999 And HTC TOUCH PRO 2 cost R8.999 this is too much.i can buy even an outstanding notebook with that amount.please HTC i love yr phones bt they are too expensive, they are even uncomparable with prices with the likes of blackberry, nokia, samsung,se,etc

  • when other phone sent bluetooth to my phone(HTC Touch Pro), it's not able to save in storage card. please reply the way that i can save in storage card.

  • i update my handset every 18-24 months and i got this one to replace my dopod (also made by htc, and which i cannot say enough good things about). maybe i got a lemon, but the htc touchpro is one of the worst handsets i've ever used. after only 2 months the keyboard started to stick and the touchscreen became unresponsive at times. the texting programme is infuriating, basic functions weren't included and many superfluous functions are unable to be switched off. i put it away after becoming tired of battling with it everyday and went back to the dopod. i've since gotten an iphone (i now cannot function without it). when my handbag (with my iphone in it) was stolen 2 weeks ago, i went back to the htc (while i wait for my new iphone to arrive) and i remembered why i felt urges to throw it from a tall building. if you are in 2 minds about this phone - seriously - go with your other choice.

  • how to set wallpaper ? as a back ground

  • the phone is good no doubt, but it's a bit heavy 4 u, check diamond2 or hero or nexus1.

  • I use this fone now and again for a change so i will try to help by giving good and bad.. This fone has good camera in good light and average video in good light,,battery good for 16 hrs of quite a bit of workload..good sonics with my senheisers using special 11 pin mini usb adapter which is hard to find,i got one 5GBP at amazon ,,perfect keypad clear screen all usual apps and troubles of windows mobile.. In bad side its heavy but not noticeable in hand and in jeans but in flimsy trousers it is noticable..poorer video in framerate unless bright sulight were its more acceptable,,its fast and slow in operation just like all other windows 6.1 and risky to upgrade to 6.5 if not impossible.. My advice is if you get it cheap then its just a typical windows smartfone with A1 slide out keypad..On other side of things windows 6.5 is now standard and 7 is not far off and if your not windows user or have never used windows it may hamper your productivety than help it..

  • Should I hoestly get this phone? I am having second thoughts but its in the range of what I want to spend. HELP!

  • in htc pro 1 sound is not enoughis there any option to inc sound system plz help

  • Any newer HTC phone with quad band 2G and quad band 3G (as in HTC Fuze)?

  • hi i forget my PASSWORD and want to format it plz help me

  • all new phones are coming out like slabs with no design and no qwerty hardware keypads,,the touch pro has both options and has been a good smartphone.

  • I have been using HTC Touch Pro for over a year now. I like it very much, and I am very satisfied with the form factor. Love the design and size. I feel that new phones are coming out these days have screen that are way too big. Especially the newer HTC phones. Wish HTC could come out with a new phone the size of the touch pro/fuze.

  • i phone making me ill i am sick of hearing and seeing it,,its even invading pda essential mag now when whsmith is full of i phone mags,,i phone go away,,shoo get out of my face

  • This link is a good start but as i say before doing anything study it till you know exactly whay your doing.."!!!! Your fone must be unlocked and custom firmware ie vodafone,,t-mobile wiped off this shows you how to do it cause i was voda rom branded..You may know all this its just to warn that you could brick your device..

  • Go to xda developers site they are working on a ROM to do this..you can upgrade but its unofficial and been ported from the diamond Rom..Its not easy and i am not going to try it and its quite scary,,i tried a different Rom but you need to hard SPL touch pro and it only works for gsm version not CDMA version touch pro..I nearly wrecked my fone and its was due to broken usb cable but managed to get new cable and restore to triband screen and reflash using generic ROM..You will need a few weeks of learning and download the suggested packs..Make sure before you reflash to new rom you totally start from a virgin touch pro by doing START,,SETTINGS,,SYSTEM,,CLEAR STORAGE,,and use 1234 as passcode.. Be carefull and back up ALL data..I will try now to get you the direct url..

  • Hi. I have a touch pro with win6.1. i would like to upgrade to win6.5 or win 7. how can i go ahead and do this. can anybody pls help or give me the link to place where i can do this step by step. thanks.

  • If you just wish 4 music fone why not buy nokia 5800, the htc is very techy windows mobile but find audio excellent & fotos..Very very good illuminated keyboard.

  • Gsm give this a good speaker at 73.3dB..its good 4 ringtones but not really 4 playing music its bit tinny. its super with own headfones using adapter and audio booster..

  • Mamikie In Pretoria. someone spoke about manufacturing problem in relation to this phone i perceived that as was going through people notions about this phone.HOW TRUE IS THAT? if u r in mzantsi how much does it cost?

  • i know this is not a music phone but i wanna know how excellent are the speakers, volumes, sound, videos and ear phones? does it have recordings where u record amr and the radio? i indeed wanna buy this heavyweight. MAMIKIE IN PRETORIA {SOUTH AFRICA].Prithee respond quickly...

  • I find battery quite good but if you leave it in 3g mode and use wifi alot then it will drain quick like every other fone..I get thru a day with 2 hrs mp3 ,,30 mins webb some 2-3 minute calls about 10-12 txts sent recieved a day plus some pictures snaps maybe 2 mms..I always charge at night anyway..If you use it lightly it should last 2 days..

  • Thanks for replying..I am buying touch pro over touch pro 2 cause its cheaper now and has the flash..Can i ask about your battery life like under heavy use it could laat about 14 hrs..Thanks.

  • There is a funtion LED and a capitals lock LED both lit in green..Yes they make LEDs that small these days ..I think the keyboard is the best ive used on a smartphone..

  • Is it true that their are LED lights on keypad showing capitals and things,,i cannot belive they could get LED that small..Ta..

  • I installed trial versin of spb shell for 15 days to try but you disable touch flo from settings first which leaves you with windows original or vannilla is trendy word these days..I dont like 3d touch flo its messages way of doing things confuses me sliding things up and that and much more comfortable with bare windows..I may try spb shell "to buy" i mean but have been using e72 on daily basis but the screen on touch pro is so vivid and crisp with vga at 2.8inches compared to my n96 with just quarter of pixels in 2.8 inch display..

  • Its certainly one of the better smartfnes ive had,,good battery touchflo is smooth and spb shell with the carousel it just one of the best interfaces bar one annoyance,,you cant(or i cant)choose a media player its just windows media player i cannot make it coreplayer..its not immpossible to find coreplayer it just would be nice...Ive had good fotos in good light and keyboard is A1 and got it doing everything i want..ITS a simple fone at one level and very complex at another and better than my xperia which is now sold..Get yourself he special 11 pin mini usb to 3.5mm jack off amazon get some good cans enable audio booster and enjoy..Dont forget advanced config tool and grab all the tweaks you can and hotfix/updates off htc site..I also like touch pro cause its not pure touchscreen but qwerty and my favourite 5-way d-pad and a proper hang up BUTTON so you feel as if you have hung up..

  • with satelites

  • hi everyone Can someone tell me, how tell me how to install spb mobile shell with 3d touch flo.

  • i really agree with you, the phone does have a manufacturing problem. am currently using it but its using with official 6.5 rom is brillantly great

  • lol your so brainwashed. ive had every iphone and after all the are the WORST phones on earth. they have no feature and no usibility. and no phones are trying to be like the iphone. iphone has have the stuff that any phone has. ppl just buy it cause of the name, like me..... and im still using one lol but i would never pay more than $200 for one non contract. n900 owns mutha suckas!!

  • i agree with you rather have 10 years old siemens than APPLE

  • i need help. i send text msgs and when i receive them the phone reads them out loud saying its high priority. how can i change that?

  • Get the iPhone. After all is said and done, all the phones out there are still wanting to be an iPhone

  • all the mobiles have disadvantages like: xperia x1:no Accelerometer sensor,... xperia x2:no radio, old hardware, trashy video recording,... htc hd2:capasetive screen,no qwerty keyboard,... touch pro2:no radio, ludicrous camera,no led flash,... BUT TOUCH PRO JUST HAS FEW PROBLEMS: no 3.5mm audio jack, small screen. after all we can say TOUCH PRO is the best one!!!!!

  • My Bluetooth problem reared its ugly head again. (see previous post dated mid Dec 09) Had to do a hard reset again. Having to do this every6-7 weeks is most annoying. Why can't HTC and Microsoft get their act together and fix this absolutely basic problem???

  • heya.. well.. a very nice mobile.. just that its gotta slight display problemm

  • Excellent business phone. Keyboard is very convenient and extremely usable. Highly recommended.

  • Hi, thanks for your advice.....I bought my phone a year ago and just like you mentioned charge the battery only when is empty. But what if that does not work either. I charge my phone almost every third day and disconnect as soon as is fully charge and still if I spend 5 minutes or more in my phone the back of the phone gets extremely hot it over heats. I have search for answers and found out that this phones had manufacture problems that is why they were discontinued in a very short time and were replaced by the HTC Touch Pro 2. Those of us that have the old version what can we do?

  • the signal issue may be your coverage area. For best performance turn off all email schedule, put it all on manual. After tried this my Fuze last long for days in stand by, with normal use 2 days at least. I've been a complete day from 9 AM to 10 PM with the phone in my pocket and the battery only goes for 96% at the night. Don't use palringo, it is a battery Sucker.

  • I have had some rather annoying issues with wifi. For starters, the signal strength fluctuates far too often (even in the same room as the wifi box). Keyboard tends to 'freeze' most of the time when the phone's wifi setting is set to best performance. setting it to best battery or even halfway, makes internet through wifi painfully slow. Everything else about the phone i love.

  • no its find with wifi dont worry i love it so much 10 out of 10 its great

  • Hey i'm about to buy a touch pro but i'm not sure because i heard that this phone has some problems with wi-fi conections. If any you could tell me something about it'll help

  • I,av had touch pro for 10 months.my problem is 1.signals are very poor 2. no signals receved. 3.In movement signal always hang. 4.poor bettery .

  • hello,i have HTC Touch pro(T7272) and i have installed a WM6.5 Professional build 28014(the newest rom),Now I want to reinstall the original factory windows but I don't know which number of 6.1 is and where I can find it.Can anybody help me??? Thanks anyway.Regards Aleksandar ([email protected] me)

  • hey i have the touch pro as which r u using im using the haze and its ok but i would like to have a rom that does alot instead of just a few things

  • my htc touch pro is running on custom rom, 6.5 tael, with HTC sense... it works fine, but then i can't appreciate the pixels/resolution.. i think its from htc touch2 which is only 240x320 pixels.... how can i put back/ install htc touchFLO 3??? so i can appreciate the vivid screen ty

  • the stock rom that comes installed on the touch pro is whats slow. i have a custom rom on my phone and its quite fast.

  • if you are having issues with your phone, check with your cell carrier because its a rule with most providers that if you have a phone replaced 4 or more times, they will send you a better model for free (or whatever it normally costs you to get a replacement smartphone which is probably 50 bucks)

  • windows 6.5 IS available for the touch pro... it just requires flashing to a custom rom which is not always easy and can void your warranty. go to the touch pro forum at ppcgeeks.com.

  • Best phone available with a full QWERTY keyboard. Looks great, responsive, displays beautiful graphics, magnetic stylus, and good quality flash camera. I've loaded 50+ apps on my Touch Pro (AT&T Fuze) and it still runs fast. My biggest complaint is the lack of a headphone jack (you need to carry around a mini usb adapter if you want to use headphones), and the battery life isn't great, especially if you're using 3G and/or WiFi. Mine won't last a day if I'm using 3G. But I highly recommend this phone, it is just like an Iphone except Touch Pro has a QWERTY keyboard

  • Did yet another hard reset. Fixed my home key issue as well as the lagging problems. According to the Microsoft website, Windows Mobile 6.5 is not available for the HTC Touch Pro. Still having the annoying audio issues. Any thoughts? Thanks!

  • I've had this phone for 10 months now through Telus. I am on my 4th unit. First two replacements were audio related and third was because cracked the screen. Here are my problems: 1. Speaker is really low during calls (fine while playing music) 2. Use my phone to listen to music in my car with adapter+aux cable. If I disconnect the adapter and plug it back in, sounds goes up by quite a bit(almost blew the speakers in my car) 3. Lost both my styluses. 4. Home key no longer works. 5. Phone lags incredibly when: - Play video files - Slide the keyboard open - Type text messages - ... 6. Phone does not ring half the time. 7. Sometimes when I'm typing an SMS, phone starts acting up and opens other apps. I could keep going on. I bought this phone because of the reviews and all the hype. This phone has been a major disappointment for me. It would be an amazing phone if it wasn't for all the issues. I will try and contact HTC again. They wouldn't even hear me the first time and Telus is only willing to offer me 250$ off full price on a new phone & renewing my 3 year contract. I am furious...

  • I need some advise...which should I go for, HTC Touch Pro or IPhone 3GS. Pls give strong tangible reasons...

  • It is possible to change the HSDPA specification, I need mine in 850 Mhz, because our carrier work in 850

  • The battery is not sucks if you keep the WiFi or 3G disable and I don't think that the Touch Pro is slow. I have some games and apps installed and all works very fine.

  • Great device!!! Stable, beautful and with a incredible slide keyboard. The battery is good, but only with 3G or WiFi disable. I have one with 16GB MicroSDHC and I love it!!!

  • really batery sucks

  • wats the cost

  • can i use adobe flash player in this phone? thank you.

  • is really nice the phone, but the battery is sucks!!!

  • i bought this phone a month ago.te processor moves realy slowly and the battery sucks........

  • They are almost the same but HTC Fuze has more branding and also no front camera. The branding can be ereased using a custom rom but it will still have the AT&T sign replacing the front camera. They both have sim slots btw but you need to unlock AT&T.

  • different*

  • what is the diffend about the item htc pro fuze and htc pro raphael ? only the desing?

  • Yes it has one but you need to unlock it.

  • Does this mean this device has a SIM card slot??

  • Hi all. Is this a CDMA only or is it a GSM device (could be also)? I need a GSM version. Is there another name for a GSM version? Thanx

  • After talking to various sales people, checking the HTC website (close to useless) I did a HARD RESET. The instructions in the manual how to do this is incorrect, as is the "latest" manual on the website for this unit. A sales man did it for me, AFTER backing everything up. This cured the problem, but it still took the better part of a couple of hours to re-set options, preferences , reconnect to my provider etc. Not a satisfactory solution. I'm not sure if this is an HTC problem, or a Win 6.1 problem. Extremely annoying, something I don't look forward to having to do every 6 weeks..

  • its a fairly good phone, for a short period oftime, my bluetooth pretty much does not work at all for no reason, i tried using 3rd party apps, pairing, it just always fails to send and receicve

  • it worked fine for two months and then the OS crashed

  • BLUETOOTH Purchased in February 2009 at which time EVERYTHING worked as specified. After about 6 weeks or so, the Bluetooth module started acting up.The problem is as follows: the phone contact name and number list no longer transfers over to the car from the phone when pared, even though this had worked with the previous Motorola (and still does)and the new HTC phone. (Yes, the Bluetooth connection is active since I can still receive calls hands free). Because of another issue (complete freeze) I'm now on my second unit which worked fine for about 6 weeks again until last week, when the contact list disappeared again never to be found on via bluetooth. I just tried paring the car with my son's old phone and it worked just fine. There definately IS an issue with the Touch Pro and Bluetooth that needs addressing. I'me getting quite annoyed with this unit.

  • Hello HTC users, for a better customer phone experience please make sure that you only purchase it from trusted suppliers because some hack and change the ROM. Also make sure you have the latest updates for your phone in our website: For battery issues: -close all unnecessary applications. -DO NOT overcharge it as battery life will decrease greatly. Remove from socket as soon as battery is full. Charge the phone only when the battery is low. All instructions are in the manual, please give at least some effort to read it to prevent unfortunate experiences. Thank you, we hope you enjoy your phone

  • I'm using this phone for 11 months now, and I'm very proud of it.. Although there are some problems (or maybe bugs) I had, and I will be very pleased if someone can solve my problems.. 1. My phone's Wi-Fi is very very weak.. Everytime I connect (even I stand beside the router), it's often get disconnected and even not detecting, until I have to refresh it couple of times.. I was using phone pouch with magnet clip before.. Is keeping phone inside the magnet clip pouch can disturb or damage my hardware..? 2. If the no 1. problem happened and I don't know about it, one message pops "Cannot find GPRS signal, please contact your service" or something like that.. Means everytime I want to connect to internet, it will set the priority to GPRS connection.. Is there any way how to set the priority to Wi Fi connection..? I'm using prepaid card service.. 3. I love the cirle below the screen, it works like a laptop touchpad.. But if I want to zoom in pictures or SMS text, sometimes it goes wrong and then the screen will zoomed in and out by itself.. As I mention that I was using magnet clip phone pouch, is it also affected or damaged my touch sensor..? If it's a factory problem, I should send it to warranty before it expired next month..

  • settings/system/screen/screem align.

  • So far so good with my HTC Touch Pro...except for the battery life..I have to recharge the battery once a day in order to keep it running..:(

  • Definately NOT worth the asking price. There are countless problems with this phone. 1. It lags beyond belief! When you're trying to write a text message, it takes the phone a few seconds to catch up to what you're writing (if that makes sense) 2. When some one is calling, more often than not, you cant pick up, no matter how many times you press the pick-up button. 3. Sometimes you can't hang up It does have its pros, but the cons outweigh them by far.

  • I am used to Qwerty keyboads and Microsoft operating system iMate, Tyne 2 etc.I have been waiting for some months now for "HTC Touch Pro2". However a colleague who has moved from HTC to "iPhone 3Gs" is talking highly of iPhone. I have used WEB comparison between these two, however, I am still confused. Any help from other users?

  • just access to any websites,4 instance google, type in 'windows 6.5 for touch pro',seach and download the links n folders for touch pro, then execute it,it will update yo phone to the latest ROM version n follow instructions 4 installation,yo phone should sync wif ya computer during installation,it's dat easy..

  • charge the phone via usb or get an external charger in that way u can test the batteries to see if they r no good u could be having a problem with the charging port

  • Hey how did you upgrade to 6.5 ?? Was it an official upgrade or you put one of the custom ROMs availble on the net ??? Please give me link if they were official upgrades. Thanks.

  • just upgraded my touch pro 6.1 to the latest windows mobile 6.5. one word for it"GREAT",the interface and performance were fantastic and after upgraded the windows,i felt like having a brand new smartphone again!! n as far as i knew, only few smartphones can do the upgrading n touch pro is one of them, really proud to b the owner of touch pro!!1

  • can someone tell me how get software for this machine or how to go about it.

  • This is the biggest piece of crap that I have ever used! I am now on my 3rd handset and have given up...no one that I know, who's got this phone is happy. The operating system bombs out (lovely blue, green and pink screen), when you try to answer you can click answer or press the answer button till your blue nothing happens. it just switches itself off even though the battery is fully charged...i can go on for hours but this was definetly the first and last HTC that I will ever buy and that is the mutual feeling from all my friends and family who's got this phone!

  • I just got my Touch Pro from AT&T. Can someone please tell me how I can put the screen in order to use TouchFlo 3D? Or just how to enable it so I can scroll through the tabs. Thanks in advance. Steven

  • I owe this phone now for 3 weeks and must complain about the user interface Touch Flo 3D. It is simply bad and I think about switching it off and using the phone only with the stylus. I also owe an iPod Touch and what I realize now is, that the Touch Flo 3D on the HTC Touch Pro is not a quarter as good as the one on the TouchPod.

  • Been through three already last one lasted less than two months, operating system just stoped working. I would not recommend it. It is not worth all of the hassel

  • Why is that the htc touch pro speaker volume is so low when talking to someone on the handset it is very low is there any way to sort it out. Thanx

  • had a wing for a few yrs, touchpro is a fare upgrade. touchpro has many more features but slightly more difficult to use. outside buttons are null and void, and programs are scattered, not too user friendly.

  • To be honest, I have had the Touch Pro since last Christmas and find that it's a piece of crap. It's ridiculously slow. When I slide the keyboard out, it takes forever to flip. Also, when I'm texting the letters can't keep up with the buttons. I can literally sit there for 10 seconds and watch the buttons type out. Yes, I know to clear the task list. Yes, I know to reset it once in a while. However, it's still a piece of shit and I can't wait to get a new phone.

  • I love my TouchPro, but the battery life has gone down DRASTICALLY from when I purchased it. Even with minimum use: 1 or 2 short calls, check email two times a day, get 10 hours of battery life. My phone is usually dead a short time before I make it to my car charger when I leave work. Pretty NOT cool...

  • this phone is very good but expencive i want to get dext with $400 and beter features

  • buy new battery is only thing i can think of..

  • my battery wont hold a charge what can i do

  • @mirooooo yes it is possible and also its 100% legal to do so. all WiMo users can upgrade to newer version for free. WiMo6.5 has some nice improvements both for interface and performance Grab a Custom ROM with WiMo 6.5, from the leading forum in HTC Raphael(Touch Pro/Fuze) Rom Development Read instructions VERY carefully, as there is a possibility of turning your Touch Pro to a BRICK

  • Yes you can

  • I mean for example for missed calls an new messaging or MMS. Ant commnet appreciate.

  • Hi guys. I am a diamond user for more than 13 months and all of time I was diappointed with setting of sound and notification because for setting the Flash Light For in notification I had no choice and It is always gray in 5min so it can't be changed but fortunately after search in xda forum I found this guide: that was very useful and flash light can be enable and adjust but my happiness doesnot exsist for a long and I consider that even with changing to No limit the flash light continue for about 32-33 min. Is there a way fix this?

  • Anything you need for HTC Pro you can find here. You can flash new ROMS that include WM6.5 or the new HTC Pro 2 software.

  • I'm not sure what is happening to your touch pro, Suhaimi, but mine is working well. Connection to GPS service takes less than a minute, sometimes in few sconds. You better check it with the dealer.

  • Hello fans of HTC Touch Pro. I have a question: Is it possible to upgrade my touch pro's windows mobile 6.1 to windows mobile 6.5??? any comments?? if its possible then How??

  • i hv had both and find the cam/keypad on htc pro better..once you have spb shell on then they are both the same but sound quality using audio booster on htc touch pro is the best ive heard in a smartfone since 2003..to sum up they are both the same really and not superfast even tho their is 528mhz proccessor..Dont forget as these fones are still expensive you may as well put your money on a newer smartfone and i am going back to buttons and getting E72 next ..

  • i have used this TouchPro for 3 months.. well, i got several comments 1.Sound too slow 2.There's no blinking LED that shows my phone is 'alive' bluetooth on also no blinking LED 3. Got dead LED inside speaker. 4. But the most problem that i cannot accept is that poor GPS receiver, it seems like a faulty build in internal receiver...searching for satelite took about 20 minutes to connect, while navigating the GPS always lost satelite reciption. that's dammm suck. macam sial.. geramnyer

  • i have a htc pro and to be honest its the woest phone i have ever had ... it freezes all the time, i go days with out recieving txts and the speaker doesnt work properly. i had it replaced in the first week that i had it. i have only had the phone for about two months and im just having so may problems with it.

  • well. i just get one. and i hope it will be good with me. i will update u with it soooon after i use it thns

  • how do i turn on the led light that is inside the ear speaker?

  • Thx SilverSprint...dude appriciate your answers

  • Thx dude...appriciate your answer

  • I have a 16GB MicroSDHC installed on my Touch Pro and it works fine with that.

  • i am using 16gb micro-sd hc sandisk card no problems,,it should identify 32gb when/if it comes available..

  • What is the max capacity of microSD supported by this phone..??

  • I think the issue of the recipient receiving the sms with question marks is that the recipient phone doesn't support arabic language. i've had the same problem before, but when we changed phone, it worked.

  • Maybe you have to download arabic ROM or language pack but thats out of my knowledge at moment..What i thought you might have done is changed languague for a laugh and could not get it back to arabic..

  • No, it was with my other HTC touch flo

  • have you had this trouble before??

  • When i write sms in arabic language it reaches like questions marks only with no letters. what can i do?

  • dont know much about usa cellfone market but a google search brought htc touch sim free at expansys 449 dollars.

  • Just downloaded spb shell 3.0 trial ..Its unbelievable and offers the panals of the xperia in rotating form its so easy to use..Also been testing out skyfire and dont find it as fast as P.I.E. even if it does offer more cause when out and about speed is more important..Even tho i am using 16GBHC card having no probs with touch pro or nothing as yet..

  • Thanks for that it saves a journey and will do it in next few days..Certainly a potent fone but when i used xperia i got a programme that killed active sync which keeps appearing and also when gprs is used it stays open using battery,,have configured end/hang up key to stop gprs but there must be another way so when i come off internet gprs is deactivated ?

  • If you are using vista/windows 7 just google Activesync download and get it off MS. The drivers come with it and works fine (although it says it's a different phone name with a right pic).

  • to easily breakable if dropped. i want a clipp on case for it.

  • its still very expensive here in uk about 500 GBP,,i had to get mine second hand..I dont know were you live but there are reputable second hand places here in uk that have 12 month warranty..I dont know if they offer it on contract because its been replaced by htc touch pro..

  • i was wondering if touch pro's prices.can you tell me?

  • Awful spelling below i admit so no excuses..

  • Got it yesterday ad trying to to sync with vista all day,,after searching web it seems i wil have to visit dad and use his xp comp..As i got it second hand my mate only had chrger and touch pro,,headfones he lost and cd.. Charged her to full at 1pm and istalled a feww bits and bobs then listened to 1hr 40 video on 50 percent brightness and speaker full blast..Then spent an hour tweaking installing and getting to grips with it,,like the 2 leds for caps lock and 2bd function.Spent another 40 minutes watching test videos for smoothness and colour and both fine..spent 1 hr of music listening at full blast speaker cause no headfones yet (no adapter) and now at 3.30pm next day its on one bar so the battery is good with that kind of use..

  • Ok, Anyone have any questions let me know...... Ive had this phone for 7 months now and must say its unbelievable..... The hardware could be a tad better but as far as capabilities its endless............ Custom roms are nice, but not necessary, there are battery tweaks and speed tweaks to get this bad boy sweet, even tough without them its great... It doesnt freeze up or need soft resets, it is slightly laggy but woopidee do, It works, but not maybe the snappy like with a custom rom, but still sweet... gps, tethering, t.v., full flash browser vis skyfire, best youtube out, tons apps, picture editors, MP3, you name it, this can do it............ I recommend this phone to anyone with a half a brain, if ya looking for something stupid get a Iphone......

  • put htc touch pro freeware into google theres plenty or ppc freeware into google..

  • Hey, Can someone please give a site where you can download free apps for this phone like games? It would be GREATLY appreciated. Thnx!

  • I get every month a mag here in uk all about smartfones and the skyfire browser has flash built in to it..Have not tried it yet cause getting touch pro wednesday when mate gets touch pro 2 delivered and i am buying his,,certainly not paying 500 GBP for it when touch pro is same price???

  • ive had the phone for 6 months theres great things on this phone but damn its slow and damn annoying! unless your going to flash it

  • i am gettin one on wednesday of mate for ?180 sim free,,it will put me on till new handsets arrive i.e. xperia x2..I think windows mobile has a future its so customisable ..

  • I love . . . and hate this phone! Purchased unlocked b/c tmobile doesn't carry it. Still don't have 3g so this causes some problems - can't use video phone, youtube and streaming media choppy and very slow. Things I love -- professional looking phone; touch flo features for email, photos, music, & weather; windows mobile; nice keyboards (slide out & touch screen); worldcard mobile feature (quick way to download business cards to contacts); disk drive feature; conference call feature; voice speed dial; printer feature (jetcet print 5); good radio reception; rss hub; phone is a brick/very substantial. Things I hate -- terrible battery life; touch flo locks up/requires soft boot (screen has even locked up during calls w/no way to hang up w/out reboot); active sync always running when phone reboots (and phone has never been synced); screen scratches easily; screen is difficult to keep clean; no secondary volume control when listening to music through touch flo (like windows media has); keyboard backlight goes out if you stop typing for 2 seconds; small screen; sound quality not very good when listening to mp3s (but this could be the headphones they sent w/phone); can't turn off word completion feature in Microsoft Word; not all websites will switch to landscape mode. Overall a solid phone, but not w/out some headaches.

  • HI I was looking at this phone and everyone seems to love it and i want one but witch one should i get?

  • For some reason when I start the Windows Live update it does not finish. And I cant find an up to date flash player to play videos.

  • i brought the touch pro...and im fairly happy with it. the problem i have is that it wont connect to my handsfree unit in my car, and my old original HTC touch did.I dont understand why they would change that part of it.it only connect to the wireless stereo part of my Pioneer head unit.

  • How can i switch between languages of the keyboard?

  • My Touch Pro can't complete install Microsoft(R).NET Compact Framework V3.5. Due to can't install, i also can't install Advanced Config 3.3 & Pocket Shield. Can someone help??

  • This is a great phone beisdes the fact the keyboard keeps going out. My wife went through 2 phone and ended up switching to another phone and now I'm having the same issues she's having. I think I might switch phones as well.

  • Use Advanced Configure Tools 3.3 to keep up your batery lifetime.. Googling it..

  • Do a Web search for "Pocket Shield." It's awesome... and you will never accidentally e-mail (or call) anyone again.

  • Touch screen on this phone is far too sensitive and unlocks too easily. I ended up sending an email to 50 people from my coat pocket on my way in to work one day!

  • its almost 11 months iv bought this phone.excellent battery, easy usage, good voice, high quality pic & screen, easy typing, fast internet, not easily scrath, rubber back is wonderfull.im realy happy with this phone & my sister & broth wish to have 1.in 1 sentence:high technology & easy use make it wonderfull

  • Im enjoying using my tp,no problem at all,i use 2nd battery if th 1st is low,so that i can use for non-stop,i like to watch movie using my tp,dont buy the fake one,u'll get many problem, believe me

  • hi linda. i've had issues with battery life. the best way to conserve energy is to lower your back light, minimize your back light time-out and turn off your high-speed data connection when you are not using it. in regards to your other issues, it sounds like you have a defective unit. hopefully you'll be able to exchange it where you bought. goodluck

  • My battery life is TERRIBLE! If I'm on a call for better that 30 minutes, the phone gets hot and the screen jumps around. I never have gotten a full days battery life out of it. Sprint tech support tells me that this is not normal and that HTC will address the issue individually. Has anyone had trouble with the volume control while using the phone on a call?

  • thanks a lot! Cheers!

  • First you need to syncronize the blackberry with the Outlook, follow this link: Then to syncronize the HTC Fuze with outlook is very easy. Install ActiveSync (For XP) or Windows Device Center (Vista) and syncronize

  • Syncronize to Outlook then insttal ActiveSync and syncronize with the fuze. Is quite simple

  • Hi Peggy, how long does a full battery charge last for you? Can anyone comment on the battery life???

  • this is a very good telephone. I am very glad that I bought this phone

  • Is anyone else getting poor battery life out of their touch pro? I've lowered my power settings and still not getting through the day with one full charge.

  • I have been using HTC touch pro for one month. It pause and jam most of the days while i am using it. however, sometimes it switched off alone, I found it closed incidently. I dont know if its a common problem or not. I am really upset

  • for me htc touch pro is one of the smartest phones i've ever seen. its fast,ok n simple to use. i wouldn't have asked for a beta fone... cheers, n keep using htc touch pro...

  • Im switching from my blackberry curve to an htc pro. does anyone know how to transfer the address book and calendar to the htc pro??? thanks in advance

  • Im switching from my blackberry curve to an htc pro. does anyone know how to transfer the address book and calendar to the htc pro??? thanks in advance

  • I LOVE the features of the phone, but I have gone through 2 phones now in a three month period. The pull out keyboard stops working on me.

  • This phone might look all nice, but it sucks on sending Pictures,Texts, and Calling, the calls always get dropped no matter where your at, And the Keyboard Allllllways go in and out one min' it works and the next min' it doesnt!! if I woulda known this phone is like this I would of never gotton it.!

  • This is the worst phone I've ever used. All functions require much more effort than other phones. The use is not intuitive. It frequently won't respond to my bluetooth device. I wish that I never got it. Mick

  • Do it have a youtube client ? howz camera and its flash? regards Jade

  • okay, can you like record your voice and then set it as your ringtone? like blackberries?? thanks a bunch(:

  • It isn't exactly the same. The Fuze only has 4 rows of keys and puts the numbers as secondary functions of other keys. This 5-row model is much better :)

  • hi dear . u no need to warry abt, just put that theme in memory card without any folder, then & only then u will see that theme.... if it work let me know on [email protected]

  • Hi! I am using HTC Touch Pro while my brother has the Xperia... I'd suggest you keep your phone for the following reasons: 1.Design (way better!) 2.Camera (faster than Xperia) 3.It's just nicer! :) Hope this helps! Thanks!

  • Somebody pls tell me, does touch pro have the you tube or google application?

  • Hey Guys, I'm using HTC Touch Pro from last 4 months. It's a good phone. One of my friend is using X1 from last 3 months, he is asking to exchange our phones. He is keen to use Touch Pro. I do like Sony Ericsson phones but I'm confused now. Kindly guide me is it worth exchanging my Touch Pro with X1 ? I shall be grateful to you. :)

  • @HopeDay... To change your theme, you must install the DIAMOND TF3D CONFIG first.. You can search and download it as freeware..

  • I have used my Touch Pro for months now. Use it to download and read email as I am on the road all the time. But found the response on the device is VERY slow if there are alot of email in the box. During the download, the device is like PAUSE and not responding to any touch on the screen. It is a common problem on all HTC PDA.

  • Yeah u can use it as a voice recorder, but only in a special format which u have to convert or use specific players before your pc and listen to it... also it's not too great for voice recording if you are planning to record lectures in lecture halls since it don't pick up sound from afar very well.

  • There are lots available. google for it.

  • Pls all htc users, how do I change theme to the ones I have downloaded, when I go to setting-perssonal-today, all I see is the pre-installed themes. • Rahul what Nishant is suggesting is correct , however I am posting the HTC delhi service helpline no. and hope it. helps...alternatively u have a golden opportunity of using one of the cooked ROMs from xda developers.....I cud not as it will screw my warranty lol. The no is 011-26383226...all the best

  • this phone looks like xperia... right?

  • hi Rahul 'm from delhi. first of all you did a mistake getting it from europe when it is avialable here for the same price ! And no blames to HTC go to the language options and try change if not then go to microsoft site and i guess you'll have to spend more and purchase the windows OS in english and load it. i would reccomend u go to the HTC service people in your area and ask for help ! and don't repeat this ! If nothing works ! Learn Sweedish lol ! u spent 30 K after all can't waste it !

  • Just upgraded to touch pro, hoping more user frienly version. had hardware porblems out of TOUCH. replacements were not in good condition wondering how durable that phone will be long term. will update when i get the PRO.

  • Important ,,,what fone do you have now out of curiousity...???

  • Is that Touch Pro can upgrade to have function People centric communication & Push Internet?

  • Do you mean TouchFlo interface?

  • Hi Daniel, both devices are almost identical specwise. Diamond2 is newer with bigger screen. If you texting a lot go for Touch Pro as it has a good keyboard.

  • Hi Rahul, don't blame HTC. Blame the dealer who sold you the phone. If you can't get official ROM use some cooked ROM. Look here :

  • Hi Victor, first check out what and where did you install. If not sure use hard reset.Touch Pro is a great device.

  • you'll need Asian/Indian S/N . It's not a IMEI btw.

  • You have no idea what are you talking about...

  • hi everyone well i just have to say that the htc pro is not worth it... i just got mine on april 15th 2009 with a 2 yr contract and my phone got froze a month later so i took it there and they supposely replace the phone but a week later on the may 19th my phone got froze which i dont get it cause i never drope the phone i took really good care of it so i didnt get it so they replace the screen supposely is new but i think sprint is a scam company they dont usually do what they promise on the contract.. today may 23rd 2009 my phone got frozen again and this time im putting a claim to the company and im cancelling the contract dont buy the htc pro is not worth it... victor

  • Looks nice

  • Hi friend... if it is not in english version, the phone is of no use. better to give up.. hopeless service with Dealers.. they dont install the required version..

  • Can any1 help me by telling where in india can we get the english Version 6.1, coz this is in swedish language..

  • Hi... i have touch pro... Very unfortunate to say that i got this call from europe and was told that would be able to use in any part of the world. here in india, the swedish language version is not understood nor the concerned Auhorised Dealer is ready to Install the new software in English version. now the phone has become useles.. My personal view...never bye handsets without english version ..provided all the Authorised dealers including the maker{htc}agrees to Install the new software. Very Dissapointed with HTC .....

  • Wow my dream

  • Been thinking of upgrading my HTC Touch to something better in the HTC's series. I got a tricky question on my mind. Is Touch Pro worthwhile getting at this point in time, given that Touch Pro2 is around the corner? Maybe the answer is obvious... just take the newer one. Well...any comments?

  • Alright, so this is an update of my minor review of the Touch Pro that I did in February. It is now May, so I came to write about what I did during the last few months in order to improve my experience with the phone. To begin, my issue with fingerprints? Surprisingly, I eventually became used to its appearance. I still find myself cleaning it fairly often and showing it off to my friends is a bit embarrassing because I have fingerprints all over it, but it is no longer a huge issue (though I still remember to look our for it when looking at new phones). However, performance is now a different matter. Since owning the phone, I have decided to do the smart thing, and change the OS to a custom made one. Thank God HTC phones have such a dedicated community. They do a good job too. After I installed a customized Windows Mobile 6.1 (and 6.5 later), the performance improved tremendously. Now there is actually a decent performance increase over the previous phones. Truthfully, there are still performance issues in some area, but a lot of the issues have also been fixed. Furthermore, the custom ROMs really show off the capability of the phone far better than the original ROM does. Unfortunately, there are still some remaining issues (resolution still make some games/apps problematic), but for what it's worth, the improvements (especially in the web browsing experience) is great enough to negate the disadvantages. At least in my opinion since I surf the web a lot on my phone. Ultimately, I myself do not own the phone anymore (sold it a while back and got a different phone), but as shown by my above words, I do have a much higher opinion of the Touch Pro now. Would I recommend now? Well, it depends. If you're not uncomfortable with learning how to and changing the ROM of the phone, then I would most certainly recommend it. On the other hand, if you intend to use the original ROM inside the phone, and not change it, then the answer is still no, I would not recommend it.

  • htc touch pro is best

  • hello there,i just got my htc pro and unfortunately its locked and it has a different language than English (japanes)please don't ask me why i got it cause its kind of long story and i don't want to waste anyone time telling it. the phone in japan known as xo5HT by softbank. my question: is there any way i could change the OS to English (i know i am going to loose the warranty but i have no choice. if you can explain what do i need and is there a different OS for GSM and OS for UMTS 2100 which what i am using. i read abour Rom and Cooked Rom and so but i have no clue. please if you can help i would really appreciate it.thanks

  • I think for the HTC Touch Pro, the ONLY main problem is about the battery life time, as it only lasts for a day or a day and half another minor problem is about call waiting (this problem is with all windows mobiles), when u call someone and he has another call, ur windows mobile doesn't tell u that u r on waiting (although other mobiles OS do so) i think That's it

  • thxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Nishant..I am an old user of winmo..since 2002..but ..always can't afford buying the set i need cause I always need what i cannot afford to get..so no problems about cooked Roms I even transformed SP5 to wndows 6..so it is easy for me..but because I am new to HTC...OR RATHER htc is new to those who cook roms so I am asking for a cooked rom for my HTC Touch 3G I want to give u my ID but if I know what exactly you mean by"ID"..once again thx for the link and mannnnnnnnnnnny thx for ur answering me

  • hi, how r u all. can any one please advice me regarding which one to buy: 1. Xpreia x 2. HTC Tuch Pro. please advice me as soon as possible.thanks

  • Ali, i would from my personal experience with high end "N" series like the ones you mentioned and i'm not at all a Nokia fan. and in my opinion you should go for the HTC touch pro as you get the advantage of an qwerty a touch screen an accelerometer and biggest "windows mobile 6.1" with which you can experiment hell lot and make your phone the coolest device i'm saying this from personal experiance as i own a HTC touch pro and i have no complaints at all and any day HTC over nokia. So the choice is yours and yours only i can help! feel free for more questions. Cheers ! Hope it helped ! Nishant :D

  • hello not sure if this is something you can help with but here it is, it is possible to down load my itunes music into my htc pro touch mp3 cell phone. thanks gina [email protected]

  • here Ihab 7000 this is the best free ware link for windows 6.1 applications choose a category and most of the applications work : www.freewarepocketpc.net you download an application to your computer sync the device to your computer and transfer it to a file and then in your phone in the file explorer select that file and UNZIP the file with the extension ".CAB" this will install the program on your phone go to the programs tab and see all programs and you will see your application. Enjoy ! any problem contact me here : [email protected] Nishant

  • Congratulations brother ! Welcome to the HTC gang ! I'm sure you will have fun with this device. see i don't advice that you install "cooked ROMs" unless you really have good knowledge i can help but can't assure you proper functioning of your phone. And yes, HTC touch pro is a bit too expensive but it is worth it never mind next time. Yes processors might be same but yes they both got their own pros and cons. So DON'T regret anything. As far as the cooked ROMs i'll mail you links i need your ID. and if you want applications (which are safe to install and can be fun !) u can google : ppc freeware or CNET.Download windows mobile applications. Congrats once again ! Cheers ! Feel Free for more questions do give me your ID for the links of the ROMs (I DON't ADVISE) Nishant :D

  • Nishant, thx so much for ur answer first of all..I didn't have the money so I bought the Htc 3g..I can replace it later on.actually what matters me is the speed of processing of data..aside from the flash and the keypoard that touch pro enjoys do you think it is faster than the Htc 3G..Thx in advance...and plz if you know how can I get new cooked roms for HTC 3G plz put them to me....I am very happy to write to you and I wish others share us..thx dear friend

  • Hi to all. Not sure if this is the right area to ask this but here it goes. I have a Nokia N85 and I love the phone for what it has to offer: call, camera, music but the phone does hang up on me from time to time, especially when I play music and what I wish it had was a qwerty keyboard (I kinda miss it). So I have been doing tons of research and concluded that my top 2 candidates for my next phone I plan on getting is the HTC TOUCH PRO or the NOKIA N97. The touch pro for me is pretty small phone in terms of length and width and I can wrap my hands on it while I dont mind the thickness of it. The nokia N97 looks cool but to me from the demos I see its more for like social networking such as facebook which I really dont do too much. So far its sounds that I have chosen the touch pro but I havent bought it yet due to the n97 not released yet so I cant completely rule it out until I get my hands on it. All I do with the phone is music, games, text, surf and the obvious calling. Another thing is I do care about performance. I do plan on keeping my n85 whatever phone I get. My question is what should I do? Should I buy the touch pro or be patient. Thanks in advance.

  • what the htc touch pro has push email?

  • Look Ihab7000 first of all thank you for all the love and certainly i will help you as much as i can. Now as far as your question is concerened. look touch3g is much cheaper than touch pro. But on the other hand if you can easily. And as far as the reviews are concerned trust me don't bother as a fact if u stuff your device with cooked ROMs and tweaks and third party application and leave no RAM for the device to breathe it is aught to be slow. So i would say if you have the money don't think twice and buy HTC Touch Pro any help feel free to write to me. Thanks.and sorry for delayed reply! Nishant :D

  • See Roslan , ROM is read only memory it is like the stocked up configurations and system settings which HTC bundles with the touch pro and the cooked up ROMs are the configurations which program developers like XDA etc etc write and these can be installed easily on your device for peronalisation and performance purposes. but i would NOT recommend that you or anyone install these cooked ROMs as if not done correctly it can really mess up your device and that may also deprive you of the HTC customer support. You may install TWEAKS or additional programs to enhance your performance they really are fun and easy and i find XDA site AND PPC FREEWARE the best (just google it ) So any futher details you need please feel free and sorry for not responding sooner. And congrats on your HTC ! :D you sure will have fun ! NIshant

  • In malaysia, this phone have a very high price.. cost more than 800 usd.i ask my frens who study in us to buy this phone for me..it only cost about 500 usd.. really save my money..

I have to say that Im lovin my Touch Pro, beautiful n fits right in my hands, however, it has snagz here and there, that completely undermine the abilities of HTC,that no one has complained about as yet! So, Id like to find out if this problem is jus with me... My TOuch Pro's ringtone rings while Im on a call as if the phone is at Home(standby),and the person Im speaking to can hear it! Am I alone with this problem,as it is VERY annoying?? Thanx guyz, and please get back 2me ASAP!

  • can somebody help me to download Bible software on to this handset ....Please.

  • Thanks bro... I will hopefully buy the touch Pro this Tuesday or Thursday.... Really hope for the best and the phone performs better than the Tytn2 or here in Malaysia some of the retailers called it the "Tak tentu" (the inconsistent)... but I have minimal problems with the phone.. Looked at the Touch Pro2 but the set didn't have the front navigational key which I always use on the TytnII.. Touch Pro it is for me..

  • Not really. Lot of ppl just use it with the stock rom and as it is. Nothing to worry. Just use the tweaks and you will be fine. I do it.

  • Thanks viz..the forum was a big help but to a certain extent it scares the hell out of me of buying the phone as the are a lot of complaints from users... Thus my question now... If I buy the phone...can I use it 'out of the box' only without flashing or cooking...Just use it without any changes...will there be any major problems of using the Touch Pro ' out of the box"? Thanksss...

  • Stock Rom - Official HTC Rom For all other queries go to forum.xda-developers.com Raphael Section - > Explore it

  • Thanks Nishant and Viz for the answers...It certainly clears my head of any bad issues regarding the Touch Pro. But my next questions may be elementary as I am relatively new as a Pocket Pc user. Can anyone explain to me about ROM and as Viz said...stock ROM. What is ROM or stock ROM. All I know is that the ROM may make the phone stable and process faster... Second question is how to get the ROM and how to install it in the phone as I may buy the phone in four days time..t.q

  • To nishant If you are the one who will choose between the touch pro or touch 3G,what will you choose and why? Second, what matters to me is theperformance of the winmo.Uptil now the touch pro scores higher than the 3G,yet if you read the opinions you will find that most are grumbling about the slowness/unstability of the touch pro despite the fact that the processor is the same in the 2 sets.In 3G I don't find this problem. It may be a matter of rom.At last i want to know if I am lucky to get the 3G or Unlucky for not getting the Touch Pro? One last thing dear bro,if you know direct links for cooked roms or themes for the Touch 3G,plz paste them to me....and for all is my love and rspect..plz need more ppl to their opinions,

  • Latt, u need to go to the communication manger in the programs section turn the bluetooth on. and the device u want to pair it with . both the devices settings should be " visible to all " then after pairing the two devices. in your source device just select the item u wan to send and say "send via bluetooth" and DONE ! but yes , data cable transfer is much more simple and VERY FAST i wuld reccomend that . feel free to ask anything more. hope u able to get some data on ur device. Nishant

  • hey , this is the best freeware site for windows mobile devices. must visit all u have to do is download the app/game u want to ur PC and then through the cable put it on ur fuze . in the file explorer(fuze) run the .CAB file (after unziping if required) and enjoy it ! make great use of this fabulous phone and ask me if u need a list of good must have applications. keep exploring this beautiful device ! Nishant

  • see Roslan, the phone has a hefty RAM and is way ahead than any of the other windows mobile devices in the market. and as far as hanging goes of course it will hang if the user "stuffs" it with third party freeware to make their device look "cool". i would suggest that it is THE PERFECT upgrade from a tyTn II. it has a swift processor and a great capability of multi tasking. and if still not satisfied ( i doubt) then u could go for the third party ROMs availibl on Xda etc etc(i don't reccomend! ) and me sure u will be happy. so dont worry and go ahead ! and enjoy. feel free to ask any questions. Nishant.

  • Dear Pho3niX90, Thans for replying to me I will rephrase my query. If you are the one who will choose between the touch pro or touch 3G,what will you choose and why? Second, what matters to me is theperformance of the winmo.Uptil now the touch pro scores higher than the 3G,yet if you read the opinions you will find that most are grumbling about the slowness/unstability of the touch pro despite the fact that the processor is the same in the 2 sets.In 3G I don't find this problem. It may be a matter of rom.At last i want to know if I am lucky to get the 3G or Unlucky for not getting the Touch Pro? One last thing dear bro,if you know direct links for cooked roms or themes for the Touch 3G,plz paste them to me....and for all is my love and rspect..plz need more ppl to their opinions, thx to all in advance and specially to Pho3niX90

  • Hi the "Ihab 7000". The awnser to your question is. All the phones has the same winmob on, its just the specifications that is differant, and the "theme" you can say, you could go to xda developsers site and download diffrent types of windows for it, even linux and google rom.. Best of luck/

  • I have been using this with the stock rom. I haven't really faced any issue. Very stable i think. Nothing to worry.

  • I thinking of buying this phone but some said the phone have the tendency to hang...this this problem occurs a lot of time? I hve been using the Tytn II for a year and if Touch Pro hangs like the Tytn II...then I have no problem

  • Thanks in advance to anyone of true knowledge who will help me in this:this question is directed only to winmo users over 3 years.I have been using winmo since 2003.I wanted to buy HTC touch pro cause it is bigger than Touch 3G,it has keyboard, flash for the camera. But because of the high price of Htc touch pro I bought Htc touch 3g.It is very fast indeed which matters me most. So,my question is :If you are an experienced fan of winmo and you have to choose between the touch pro and Touch 3G.What will be your Choice....Thanks in advance..Love to all

  • hey i just recently got the fuze can anyone tell me where to find good games and software for it?

  • hey bro please tell me how to transfer files via bluetooth in detail..i m stuck with that one as well..but i can't figure it out

  • Hi i have use this phone for 7months. it,s a verry great phone. Battery : i used to have problems with battery. a half day battery life! may you all ever had this problem too. here is the solution. drain your battery, till it turned off it self. but not only that, press the power button until it cannot power up again (there will be a red warning says the battery is to low). take out the sim card (if any) then charge for 8-12 hours. -- worked well for me, 1.5 - 2 days battery life now -- Speed : if you feels your Touch Pro too slow, check your rom, there is new rom from HTC.Com. and it,s fast n furios i tell u. For some people who can handle it's feature, PLEASE get symbian, java or somthin lighter. then you don't have to get any headache experience or you don't have to bad mouth about this phone too much. Well nothin is perfect anyway

  • i've had this phone for a month and love it. all the comments which say its bad and slow are ffolish u can't demand so much. only drawback is the price ! and that the g-sensor is only used in album and browser. but with the gyrator application it can be solved . its a must buy for the person who can afford. any questions welcome. thanks

  • I've had this handset for about 5 months now and I'm loving it. IT can be a little slow but it still does the job. It took me quite a while to figure out how to transfer files via bluetooth so, obviously, as this is a PDA after all, don't get it if you're just looking for an ordinary phone because you will whinge and whine like most of the people who have written on this page. Battery life could be better, but as it is a more advanced handset it's definately very reasonable lasting about a day and a half. Overall, it's a great phone. (Y)(Y)

  • I had this phone but it s to slow, sold it because was giving me to much headache, ta

  • i think this is a good device compare 2 the other device use windows mobile..it has 288mb of ram..others have only about 128mb of ram.it should be better in speed..

  • hmm , i think winmo is the best OS for now , it has a lot of feature and good software that u can download it for free (mostly) , but i also admit that winmo is complicated , slow and confusing for the first time users . Conclusion : for those who are lazy to study how to learn windows don't go winmo phone , get symbian or mac phones they are simpler . . .

  • the guy who said that abt windows mobile, he doesn't know abt windows mobile. these are of pure class. bettter than apple operating system.

  • There is nothing wrong with the HTC Touch Pro. I have to admit it could be improved by a better operating system, since Windows Mobile is far from fantastic. On the other hand if you use a Windows server it will syncronise with Exchange out the box (something you have to buy expensive software for if you have a Blackberry device). Also there are _ALOT_ of free software titles availible for WinMobile since many developers are now using J2ME and .Net development tools. I have about 7 different emulators for my WinMo device, SNES, NES, Gameboy, DOS, Scumm, Playstation, and GB advanced (all of which were free). There are also applications from all catagories availible for free, some good, some not so good. My device (which is not a Touch Pro) also has a QWERTY keyboard, and although I found it fiddley to use at first I don't think I could live without it now. TouchFlo is notoriously slow unfortunatly, although by rebuilding the device on a regular basis (this is no great chore if all your data is backed up on your Windows Exchange server) it does operate at a more usable speed. Also there are a variety of ROM builds availible aimed at speed over graphical appeal (google XDA Developers). I would prefer to have a Touch HD over a iPhone anyday, but that is ofcourse personal opinion, I'm not a great fan of Apple (or Ms, but HTC build the device). Anyway, hope that helps somebody.. Jamie

  • mind blowingggggggggggg.....really

  • yes it has slow operation

  • I onlt had the HTC touch Pro for three days. Overall, it is a good phone however there are a few things I do not like about the phone: 1)The charger is very short 2)The battery runs low fast 3)The screen is much smaller 4)The volume is very, very low.(Ringtones And speaker) 5)

  • Do u mean that this Touch Pro is slow?

  • it really is not worth it unless you r a business person. it is slow and sluggish because of windows mobile. why cant htc just make their own operating system that is similar to the iphone with all the touch features and what not. the g1 is better

  • just tried it out in ATT store for 1hr. clumsy to hold and use, unresponsive touch screen, browser controls and all other on screen controls are missing lower left right control tab buttons, so its a clunky mix of touch flo and tiny tiny WindowsMobile screen elements and controls, which you can barely use accurately. its only fast if you shut everything off via Task Manager (as usuall). the main thing for me is a small handset you cannot use well with 1 hand, and especially 1 hand while driving. PHTEW GAMOTO! its a malakia.

  • DEAR htc users , please let me know(unbiased)opinion about mobile and operating system which is good.(touch HD or omnia HD and windows or symbion).please state your answer giving detailed comparison ,as both mobileS are costly, I need to be sure of my choice before i buy and not regret later . thanks dear.

  • ive had this phone for almost a week, put on advanced config and tried to speed it up a bit, and i think it has done a bit of difference but it still seems to take ages when i flip out the keyboard after opening a text message may need to think about getting a flash done later but dont want to void warranty. good: lots of functions looks cool inside and out bright LED light on the back weather, i love using that wifi is pretty cool customizable, more computerish to my last phones. bad: -battery life (lasts me less than 24hours if i use it heavy, and im a heavy to medium user so not that good) - GPS takes a while to kick in. -takes ages to charge (i put my nokia on charge an hour or two after the htc started and the nokia finished before an hour of the htc finishing) -takes a couple of shots to press a button (sometimes, which frankly is quite annoying and i have no choice but to get the stylus out) and getting used to the scrolling, i am getting better though. -pretty chunky lookin -keyboard hard to get used to and little spacebar -3.2mp camera is nothing compared to my sony ericsson k800i 3.2mp camera. ALL UP: i wouldnt say its for the average joe because its a bit more complicated compared to symbian phones, as far as coming out as a stock phone is concerened it needs a serious upgrade in performace/smoothness and other minor fixes.

  • I'm into my THIRD HTC Touch Pro ... the first one I received from my carrier was a real lemon ... The speaker did not work and I could not hear anyone I was talking to ... I could not exchange it for a DIFFERENT model like an LG or Blackberry ... My carrier said I had to exchange it for another HTC TOUCH PRO ... so, the second unit they gave me kept giving me a "warning" message no matter what I tried to do. Now, I'm on the third unit. This one freezes up in the middle of working within certain applications like Word or draw ... or when I'm playing solitare the cards won't move and freeze. PLUS, the touch screen (TouchFlo3D) is TOO MUSHY and SENSITIVE ... and very unstable as it glides to a tab on it's own even when I just set it down .. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS UNIT and IT WAS NOT CHEAP .... I should have gone with my GUT INSTINCT and bought the LG VERSA .... DON'T BUY THE TOUCH PRO.

  • Dear Suje, Thanks for the link. I have not yet figured out how to browse through the link you gave and how to install it on HTC Touch Pro but I will figure it out. Thanks..... Vasu

  • I'd like to reply to all those you think this phone is crapy. As a user and as a vendor: 1)If you've never userd WinMo or PDA before, no need to comment !!! 2)If after a month or 3 you've got serious issus, don't complain use you're warranty, it happens that during fabric not all phones end up perfect !!! That goes for all brands. But if you're too lasy to do so, no need to comment !!! 3)If you buy this phone and aren't even aible to think of making a rom update or check the web for info, like on the XDA-forum, please get a Nokia 3210, you don't need the have an HTC !!! 4)If you don't like TouchFlo 3D, just turn it off, lol 5)If you buy a PDA, don't forget it's business orientated, with some multimedia apps, but if you're freely willing to pay for a high end phone and don't even have the use of it, it's time to re-evaluate your priorities! 6)And stop comparing every touch screen phone to the IPhone, touch screens exist since forever, the Iphone isn't a professional phone, the price of the iphone is all about the appel logo, in specs it's only max 300 phone and i'm being nice.

  • I own one of these. And I just wanted to comment on it. The phone has great features and functionality however there is has one major design flaw. The directional buttons, "home" and "call" buttons are useless on the phone as pressing one always activates another one. The left arrow always activates either "phone" or "home". So in order to use directional I have to open up the keyboard and use those. Anybody else having the same problem? It is kinda annoying.

  • I have this telephone for just over 3 months now, and after reading some of the comments here i felt it was my obligation to write this comment. For those who are still doubting about this phone, in particular about the customised interface by HTC. The customised interface made by HTC is a bit unsteady, which has been improved alot by the undates given on the website. Still for some people it is still not good enough, and they expect the ''smoothness'' of the iBone interface. For those people i have only ONE tip and that is http://http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448008 . Read it, learn it, and apply it. Download a custom rom that meets your requirements, and have fun with your wonderfull phone!

  • oh shit!!! i'm late to read your review. i have bought the phone since 4 months a go.... and I LOVE IT! nothing happens like u say. my only problem is it's battery life. but now it stands for 1.5 - 2 days. for others that have bought this superb phone, visit and for newbie in winmo device, please don't make any further action about rom, read first in the link i mentioned before you will find a lot of fun there, you will even loved ur touch pro

  • hi... may be i can help u try here

  • Touch Pro is a fantastic device. Only additional stuff required is that it should have had a tab for "Stocks" like they have in HTC Touch HD. Can anyone suggest how to install it on touch pro?

  • Hi I have had this phone now for approx 3 weeks, and love it... I have read various comments on here about the phone, and a lot of them relate to people who have not worked things out or understand the proper functionality of this phone, I was able to find small tweaks to this phone on the internet which was great (at least you can tweak a phone like this) but the tweaks were not necessary, they were just personal preferences I wanted. My requirements were for a buisness phone for calls, email (multiple accounts) and messaging. This phone is a dream it handles it all very well and has never locked. The only thing I did was apply a patch for Daylight Savings from Microsoft. Active Sync works well, I love the qwerty keyboard for emails and messaging as well as using it for changes to my documents etc.. I have no problem in recommending this phone. And I can't wait to get a look and feel of the new Touch Pro 2 in Q3. HTC Rocks !!!

  • Amen to everything you say. It's a terrible phone!!! It doesn't function well and it's way slow. My freezes on me all the time and the keyboard often stops working for random hours of the day. The screen randomly turns on for no reason at all which kills the battery. Also, when I receive a text message it unlocks the screen so if I don't reach for it then and there, buttons get pushed because it's being pressed up against my leg and sometimes that even turns it off silent. I have had so much frustration because of this phone. I can't believe the engineers who made it or the people who allowed it to go on the market. The processor is way to slow for what they want it to do. Do NOT buy this phone.

  • i'll reacomand the omnia than htc unless u want to have an bussines phone

  • Exactly my feelings, at times I am amazed at the power of this device although in India we still have some time to go before experiencing 3G as a common phenomenon. Yes average voice and text users find the sheer expanse of WM overwhelming and hence the adverse comments against WM. Although there are issues like the low volume but after extensive probing in to Symbian( I have had both E-71 & 51 apart from the N series) and BB Bold, My due respects to breezy functionality of symbian S60 and push mail feature of BB but inspite of what people might say there is still no substitute for WM platform for serious and evolving users. The sheer customization and power offered by the platform and the device make you feel somewhat the joy of creation....Finally sincere gratitude to my unseen freinds at xda-developers specifically and GSM arena in general who have made me a sort of local "know all" in mobile devices in such a short span.

  • Sure... mine is completly in spanish!!! I cant get you in touch with my seller... Where are u from???

  • The best carrier and data program for the HTC touch pro is Sprint. The phone is only $299.00 with a two year contract. The phone is awsome but its not for some one that is use to idiot proof phones. If you are computer savey you can tweek this phone to run like a Rolex and you will get the battery life as posted by the spec sheet.

  • Horrible phone When I am on a call there is no way to lock the keypad so I regularly hang up on people. The battery life is about 1/2 of what the Treo was. Yesterday my phone was completely dead after three hours ~ approximately 1 hour of talk time.(I've adjusted the power settings to the lowest luminocity) Since I had to reduce the lumicity it means that my backlight turns off immediately when I am on a call. When another call comes in (call waiting) it doesn't re-light so I can't see who is calling me. When I am on a call and another call beeps in, I am able to click over to answer it however it drops the caller on hold every time The keypad is so tiny that I have to pull out the stylett every time- Hate this feature. There isn't a "mail" "voice mail" or "contacts" button on the keypad. I have to use the digital screen, thereby requiring me to pull out the stylett every time. When I turn the phone from horizontal to vertical, it is supposed to adjust (like the Iphone) however, there is about a 5 second delay. When I type in phone numbers or email messages there is also a delayed response, so I constantly have to erase, re-type and wait. In order to close out of a program (the current page open) I have to hit this tiny little "okay" button in the upper right corner and this requires that I use the stylett. When I open an email message I have two options at the bottom of the screen, "reply all" and "menu". If I don't want to "reply all" I have to go into the Menu and select two separate items in order to reply to the sender. When a call comes in I have an option to "answer" or "ignore" 50% of the time when I hit "answer" it completely hangs up on the caller. Unlocking my phone by entering my password generally takes about 5-10 attempts because the touchscreen sensors have a delay, so I constantly over-type.

  • i have this phone and in order to truly use it, u have to tweak the registry to no end. win mobile and htc clash at times like when trying to use T9 when writing a message and wanting to use the word suggestion feature. the texting lags behind when you first start typing after you slide out the keyboard. not a bad phone but it is making me consider going symbian instead. also great camera, but flash could use some work and there is no lens protection which i hate.

  • hey guys, i got this phone 'bout a month ago. it's an awesome phone.there's a lot u can do with it, jus like ur imagination, the posobilities are endless with this phone. touch pro rules the twang

  • Owners of HTC Touch Pro, this phone is supposed to be black but it looks bluish sometimes. Does that make it look too bad and cheap. And the htc official photos makes this phone look glossy and reflective altough other used pictures makes it look dirty and disgusting. How does this phone look actually. does is look and feel better than touch hd?

  • thanks for letting know about that Joyce.. but i've bought X1i mobile.. and its fantastic ;)

  • HTC Touch Pro or Tmobile MD Vario IV? they look example the same.. but which one is better

  • Ive been using this phone for 3months this phone is superb! everytime i watch my phone, i would love to swipe the screen from the fingerprints. she looks very beautiful with 3d wallpaper downloaded from internet. wooaahhh this phone kills me everytime i hold her tight in my hands. her function is goddamn cool to be honest. the 3d touch flow is very cool. standard with i-phone.the sensitivity of the screen is very good where u don have to touch so much on it. the purpose of this phone is for business(push email, document viewer)+internet browsing+the feel of arrogant when u sliding the keyboard in public.Hahaha that is so important to have an high-end gadget.U will look superb and confident when using it.everybody will be amazed with the beauty of Touch Pro.It is complete! What more can u ask?It has keyboard, touch screen, touch keypad, handwriting recognition. What in the hell u want more in your pocket?hahaha In simple word, HTC Touch Pro = Pocket laptop+Digital Camera+Handphone+GPS = Superb creation by HTC

  • HTC Touchflow has good image quality.

  • Does anyone know a good site to download free apps for the touch pro? thanks!

  • HTC touch pro or htc touch hd! mmhmh

  • Is there a WAP ie browser to download for this? i don't want to use the IE browser on this as i don't have data plan.

  • I have been a cp addict. I have been a nokia; sony ericsson and samsung handset user and this actually my first time to be upclose and personal with htc products. . Like you i had to think a hundred times to what HTC product to buy. It was a battle between a diamond and touch pro.I finally decided to buy the latter one. I find htc touch pro in particular an impressive and remarkable handset. it has a better internal memory with 288MB RAM compared to Diamond. Camera wise it has a good photo quality registration on the screen but my only problem is that i am getting blurred pictures when i tried uploading them on the People portion of TouchFlo. Perhaps the main reason for this is that I had all the pictures taken from my SE xperia1 before and all of them have been saved in the sd card. Read the reviews of the products in all other websites. it will help you somehow to come up with a better choice.

  • I've recently bought this phone. Peformance wise, Its a great phone. Seems difficult to operate at first, but after you get use to it's functions its quite simple and very convient. It's truely made for multi-tasking or very busy people. Great web browser! MP3 trimmer so you can make you own ringtones. Photo/Video quality is great. Very bright flash, so be careful!! The only thing that sucks about this phone is the battery life..

  • i have the htc pro. i recently purchased a samsung bluetooth. is there any way i can listen to the music on my phone through the bluetooth

  • you can customize your own ring tones on this phone. if you dont already have music on your memory card, just put some songs on it. once you have done that go to the mp3 trimmer program. from there you can create your own ringtone. ive had this phone for about two months and i love it.

  • This phone is terrific. It's just enough upgrade from the last htc I had. Although the 3d mode is difficult to get used to.

  • some buddy ,, advice me t.pro or t.diamond??? i like to buy one , how is the photo quality by pro ........is its better than diamond ?????tnk..

  • I can change the Language of the Windows 6.1 at Spanish? especially in this phone?

  • My friend has dis phone. Itz really goood, nice performence, and it lookz great. But it costs 700 or 600, and for that you can buy other great phones like nokia n97, or a nice 8mx camera in the samsung memoir, and many other good phones. Choose carefully cuz i bought nokia n78 unlocked, and now for this price that i payed there are much better touch screen phones. Nokia n85 is good. Try nokia phones first, according to most people nokia is the most trusting brand.

  • I say go for it! why bother getting the same old phone try something knew because you might like it soo much better. x

  • I need to buy one, I liked the model as it is not that femiliar i want to know should I go for it or as usual go for Nokia because I have never used any other mobile other than Nokia.

  • i have bought htc touch pro for two months ago, but i haven't known how to fully download the full movies via yutub. could anyone help me with this?

  • this is the best phone ever and its also against any damage... i like this phone

  • i have bought the touch pro for months, but i have no idea how i connect it to tv because there is no cable. i have tried to look around in phnom penh but i have found no cable.

  • One day my HTC was also heating up and not holding a charge. I had a diagnostic run on it and the battery had failed. I was given a new battery and so far the problem has been resolved.

  • if you want to learn about your Pro or get apps. for it and can't find them then your not looking. XDA-DEVELOPERS

  • I use this ppc for 3 days Pros:Powerfull and well build. Cons:No led notification light, no scroll key, no camera button, no standby button. which i dun like...

  • Is it possible to run apps simultaniously with music player and switch between applications like with nokia symbian OS?

  • first of all the song needs to be in the "my documents" directory which is in the phone memory. when u copied it in that folder you can change the ringtone by going to START - SETTINGS - PHONE and by ringtone it will have a selection of your choice if only the song is in the "My Documents" folder. Hope this helps

  • you go to the file explorer icon, go in it. then it will be stored in the "my documents" directory which is on the phone memory itself not on da m/card.

  • From the aspect of a long Windows Mobile devices user, this is a marvelous piece of technology! I've been using my Touch Pro for a while now, and I'm 100% happy with it. Despite HTC's "expansion to the masses" due to their new flashy devices, Windows phones remain the average geek's toy. I see many people complaining about Windows phones' performance and not only. All of their problems could be solved with a simple search. Generally, if you don't have the patience to go through some troubleshooting & procedures reading, then this is not your average every-day phone. The Windows Mobile platform has unlimited possibilities and it's extremely flexible. A simple ROM or radio ROM upgrade, can totally enhance the looks and performance of your device. And thank god there are lot's of these available (thank you xda-developers). Let's hope now that Windows phones are becoming more and more popular along people with no particular knowledge on such devices, HTC will come up with a solution for even more user friendly devices.

  • Hi guys, wana find out which folder the bluetooth music stored.....and how do u get there?

  • just got this phone a few days ago and even though im still trying to get used to it, i'm loving this phone! i was wondering if anyone knew how to upload your own ringtones to this phone. thanks!

  • yes most windows mobile phones can be used as wireless modem, you can connect them with usb to mini usb cable or sync with blue tooth, on edge network the speed is faster than dial up but slower tha n dsl or cable, have not tested them on 3G, and of course you will need the phone to be set for internet, means get the setting and set it up or bring to cel store to set it up for you

  • I know you can use it as a modem on a pc, just not sure about a mac. Through at&t you have to add the tethering package to your account to do so.

  • if you connect it to a macbook, can it be used as a modem and go online? I have an unlimited data plan... I know that blackberry devices can act as a modem...

  • its comes with window media player and adobe reader

  • Does any of the current users of the phone know whether it's possible to run for example, PDF and Music player? Actually if it's possible to run music player with everything and not suffer too much? I love the phone thus far and will probably get it even if not...

  • ring up O2 customer services and they will send you the link to download the software.

  • Actually there are skins for this phone. you can go to uniqueskins.com or skinit.com they both have something for the Pro.

  • my phone wont charge if im in a call and ive been having problems with the charger i have to put it in and pull it out several times until it actually starts charging anyone know if theres a diffrent charger i could use that will actually charge my phone while i am in a phone call

  • it doesnt over heat with me... and i talked for like an hour... my stylus fits fine

  • I am not having joy with few things on this handset. 1. The battery does not survive the whole day 2. The speaker is sometimes giving me issues, it keeps on breaking and not audible enough. 3. The USB port for charging the battery, sheww, is not picking up the charger as it should. i need to put it in and out several times before it charges. 4. The stylus pen does not fit well in it's slot. 5. After 10 minutes on a voice call, it will heat up and burn my ear. I think the design and OS features are kool though, but the hardware issues I am encountering with this thing is really irritating. Had it for a week but I am thinking of taking it back. I think there is no other fone that matches it but it is now taking me back to the days I used to use MPX200 (I did not enjoy it).

  • Got this phone on friday and i love it. Speaker is great. Phone calls are clear and never dropped. Camera is descent for daylight. Browser is a lot better than iphone. Its a bit slow at times buts it because you running touch flow on top of win mo 6.1 and win mo 6.1 is slow. Hopefully new from comes out for win mo 6.5

  • Is there a program to have the D-pad function as a optical trackpad like for the omnia? I like the mouse thing going on, makes it more like windows.

  • Good day all, I want to know if this is true? Does the WINMO slow down when you store stuff on the phone memory and not the memory card? Does WINMO need the open space to Function properly? Thanks, LARA

  • I love the phone. And it's true that it has a few issues, but if you take the time to personalize this phone you can easily make up for whatever you find wrong with it. Of course memory and processor can't be aided, but your experience with the phone will change once you get those apps. I learned to live with it, maybe others aren't so prepared to do so. Get an Omnia if it really bothers you, or a Touch Diamond. But as far as rating the Touch Pro, I'd give it a 4/5.

  • bottom line i dont like it i cant find any apps for this phone no themes or skins just the same old crap i had on my mogul. im for the htc mogul its the best phone every made i cant wait till the mogul 2 hits america. do not get the htc touch pro

  • Recently, I was given a chance to purchase the Touch Pro in the form of the AT&T Fuze. I was given the phone first and I was supposed to pay the next day. The night I got it and the afternoon afterwards, I spent the entire time just using the Touch Pro (foregoing sleep). Unfortunately, the purchase didn't pan out, but I'm glad it happened that way. It's kind of funny how things plays out sometimes and I learned a lot about myself while given the chance to use this phone. To begin, I realize that I had no idea what I wanted in a phone. I'm the 'gadget lover' type and don't care much for design (so long as it has a QWERTY keyboard and feels comfortable), so I had always assume that the latest phone would make me happy. I realized how foolish I was in thinking this when I got my chance to use the Touch Pro. First off, I despise the black, sleek casing. It looks good in pictures, but when you use it, dear God, you get fingerprints everywhere. This seems obvious, but before I used it, I didn't realize the extent to which this would be a problem. I was cleaning the phone constantly. The obvious solution would be to put a protector around the phone, but I didn't like the idea of that. That's one lesson learned: Get a phone which doesn't get fingerprints easily. Another lesson learned: Realize the potential pitfalls of your desire. As an owner of a QVGA smartphone (HTC 8525), one of my big desires has always been high res phones. This has since manifested itself into a desire for WVGA phones (such as Touch HD/Xperia X1), but the Touch Pro's VGA res also made me very happy. Web browsing and video watching on the Touch Pro was simply much better. Furthermore, a lot of applications became more usable, such as Opera Mobile. As it turns out, there was also plenty of problems in using software. The vast majority of apps seems to work fine, but the big problem lay in games, notably Java games. The majority of Java games were designed for 240x320 res and around there. A good amount of them also works fine on VGA res, but much didn't. Considering the sheer amount of Java games I play, I knew instantly this was going to be a huge downer. I should have prepare better for such a scenario. Lastly, I would like to talk about one pitfall of the phone that I suspect many would not expect: Performance. The Touch Pro's specs is vastly superior to my 8525. My 8525 has 64MB of RAM compared to TP's 288MB and a 400MHZ processor compared to the TP's 528MHZ processor. As a computer geek too, I sort of have the concept of 'Better specs = Better performance' ingrained in me. This concept is true in just about all electronics, but as someone who is used to upgrading computers, it's more ingrained in me than most. So here's the problem: The Touch Pro's performance is not superior to the 8525. In fact, my judgement is that it is slightly faster in some cases, equal in most cases, and in some cases, even slower. I am not an isolated case either as I have looked this up and innumerable people discovered the exact same thing. If you research it too, you will soon realize the problem: It's the Qualcomm processor that is the problem. You see, my current phone's processor is a Samsung processor, but the Touch Pro uses a Qualcomm processor. The whole issue, which has been present for years is that the Qualcomm processor apparently lacks the proper acceleration drivers to make the processor work properly; The result is slower performance. Now, the Touch Pro's RAM is much larger, but RAM only determines mulitasking capabilities; the processor is the true performance increaser. This is why this is lack of superior performance as the processing power difference between the Touch Pro and the 8525 is only 128MHZ; not a big enough difference in clockrate to negate the issue of lack of drivers. Of course, I now try to look up phones which doesn't use Qualcomm processors, but that's a huge problem. I largely prefer HTC (which all uses Qualcomm processors), so I'm very limited. Hopefully, the future Qualcomm processors won't have this problem anymore, but considering how long this problem has existed, I'm somewhat doubtful. Well, just have to girn, and bear it sometimes. And pray to God that some other company forces Qualcomm out of business soon too, I suppose. Ultimately, let me get something out of the way: The Touch Pro is not truly a bad phone. As I said, it has a very impressive resolution (with only WVGA phones beating it), and it does look very sleek, though the sleekness requires high cleaning maintenance. The performance, for what it's worth, is also not completely bad. It works most of the time and will be completely fine for most people. If you're looking for a good phone with great specs and GPS, I would think the Touch Pro is pretty good. it's also older now and will be cheaper than most other HTC phones, which all have largely the same specs anyway. It's a good trade off. I, on the other hand, simply didn't like the phone.

  • ive had the touch pro for about two months now.its great. i love it. internet is fast. picture quality is excellent but there is about a five second delay.one problem i am having is audio issues.calls through the earpiece and speaker arent very loud. when i play a song on the speaker it is loud, very loud. can anybody help me

  • search for Klaxon. Has multi alarm, assign how snooze and what to play: mp3, sounds, etc. Not pretty but it works well.

  • you need the youtube client.... if you have the fuze you need flash the rom to different one

  • i cant play youtube videos on this. does anyone know how? thanks

  • Win Mo phones are slow in general. Look at the process ore its not even 1 Ghz. Only the new toshiba phone coming this. Do your research before you start complianing. You are comparing phone to a computer.

  • can someone tell me which ROM should I flash if I have Fuze running on Rogers, but want the default HTC Pro. So much ROM not sure what to pick.

  • HTC Touch Pro is the worst phone AND the most expensive phone I have ever bought. And I'm not even talking about the value vs price. The phone in itself suck. Buttons have poor response, lags and touch screen is also poor.

  • You can find anything about HTC phones at www.xda-developers.com Enjoy...

  • yea actually when you go to the web browser it already has all those pages saved.

  • This htc touchpro is SUX!!!!!!!!!!! my old compaq presario 1988 computer goes faster than this junk..this phone lags, freezes, locks down, no software avaliable on htc's website, only limited 3rd party avaliable, which is risky to the phone, and customer support sucks and they refuse to resolve my issues with my phone,do not waiste your money on this or even the touch pro 2,aint worth it, u want great reliability and performance phones, stick with sony ericsson, the best!

  • my alarm does not work well. any good alarm application to recommend? any forum for HTC Touch Pro? thanks.

  • Is this phone easy and practical to use as an everyday phone(without worrying about email etc)?? Also, being powered by windows, can skype be used on it?

  • im thinking of getting this HTC Touch Pro..im not much of a user of all the extra gadgets taht come with it. to be quite honest, i use my palm centro for AIM, texting, myspace, and facebook. i just want it cause it looks awesome. will it work perfect for what i plan on using it for?

  • I have ATT service and the touch pro I have does not have some of the features such as the you tube, google maps, FM radio, MP3 Trimmer, and Sprite Back up. Is there a way that I can get these programs on the phone? PLease help MW

  • Try this link and download the program to your phone. I downloaded on my touch pro and it is working fine. Hope you enjoy. Remove the space before com http://wmpoweruser. com/?p=2128

  • Would be a network command to change divert time. **61*divert number*time in secs*# i think

  • Yes, the bluetooth is compatible with all devices. It contains the following bluetooth profiles: HSP HFP 1.5 DUN FTP OPP A2DP AVRC PAN HID BPP 1.2

  • I own a htc touch pro since 2 months. Im quite disappointed from the fact that I havent been able to find a freeware divx player that works with decent quality films and does not skip the frames. Furthermore I noticed that the alarm does not work when the phone is off. Another annoying thing is that the screen switches off as soon as I pick up or make a phone call, although this is done to avoid to press the touch screen with the ear and activate a non wanted program, I think that a solution similar to the I-phone would be great.

  • it supports all mobiles brnads

  • Highly Impressive

  • Does anyone know bluetooth support only its headset or all bluetooth device (such as: PC, laptop, nokia phone ..) ???

  • Wow, how big of you getting all tough on your computer! You must be one tough cookie! I would hate to meet you on a dark alley with your keyboard. The phone is brank new to Verizon and the manual is like 3 pages. Thanks for your excellent help and insight.

  • I'm sure you have found out by now. You can wake your phone up by pressing the top button on the silver lining of you phone. This device is also used to eliminate acccidently making calls to those you have just closed a call with.

  • Can This Phone B Used In America?

  • My phone wakes up by pushing the power button once (not holding it). I can't help you with the voicemail issue.

  • How do I get my phone to wake up. After it sits for a few the backlight turns off and then I need to pull the keyboard out and what for it to switch back to vertical so I can use it. I have pushed every button nothing wakes it up until I pull the keyboard out. BTW I prefer the vertical I do know I could use it in horizonital. Also, when I get a call it only rings twice then goes to voicemail. I have looked everywhere in settings to adjust. I own the Verizon version of HTC Touch Pro.

  • what did you do to make the audio better.does it also make the speaker better. it plays music loud, but when i put a call on speaker its not as loud

  • what do you mean by hacking to make the audio louder. the speaker and earpiece on this phone are not good at all. sometimes it freezes as well. can i delete some of the programs that i dont use. can anybody help me

  • I've just bought this XDA 02 SERRA (02's version of HTC TOUCH PRO) and I'm unable to play youtube videos. There isn't a youtube client on the menu like the GSM review states. When I access the internet and go to youtube web address, just keeps saying Windows media unable to play this file etc!!! Can anyone help and give any suggestions as I'd like to be able to watch youtube videos. Thanks.

  • my htc touch pro rocks

  • You wont believe this, but I chucked my Diamond in perfect condition - just 4 months old into my waste bin and now its gone!! Wondering if the PRO should be my next...

  • i have dropped this thing on asphalt before, it dents easily but it has not screwed up anything.

  • I have my Touch Pro in the leather case that came in the package. I lock my phone by holding down the end call icon, and yet my phone will answer a call when I try sliding it out of the case. I figure the case is sliding against the screen when I pull it out. Anyone else have this problem?

  • This has windows media player, does it use the windows media player by defult or do you have to open it? And how is the winmo player?

  • first i have this phone,it was nice for the first 2 days, eversince,i faced prob with it,the battery doesnt last for so long, eventho i kept them on the table without touching them at all,two days later am gonna send it back to the centre itself,i'm some kind of pissed with this phone ,bought them for quite expensive, but the performance doesnt satisify me .

  • i know this is a dumb question, but has anyone dropped their htc touch pro yet? I tend to drop my phones a lot accidentally so just wanted to know if it's durable and still works even after dropping it. how's the speaker on the phone?

  • ..Could you throw some more details about the sites fr getting fm radio, youtube downloader..thanks

  • What hacking did you do? to make audio better.thanks

  • we bought 4 for our company managers - we all hate them. gadgets great, features a bit convoluted and cumbersome to use, not particularly intuitive, but mostly because they keep hanging and the call quality is absolute rubbish. we put the same simms into different phones and they started to work properly again. I think HTC should have spent more money on an internal ariel that worked and a bit less on the styling !! after all it is still a phone.

  • no wat bro the iphone has nothin on this its better cause u can manually use it or use the touchflo plus the battery is way better then the iphone its better in quality but its doesnt get that much publicity and advertisement as the iphone thats all and u can see the rating r much better

  • it is very nice design and it have Windows mobile, I think that smartphone batter than Nokia mobiles and i have it with themes from

  • I've had the pro now for 4 months. PROS - Keyboard is great! graphics great! Battery life good. 3D flo great! CONS - It is promoted as a business phone. If you want to go out off business, get this phone. Had to run a hack to get audio louder and screen sensitivity to a decent level. Surfing the net is a pain - slow and cramped. Trying to use the phone as a modem - the usual microsoft setting up ping pong - Still struggling - Old nokia was a breeze. A lot of finger trouble closing apps, selecting checkboxes - way too small, very stylus dependant.

  • Hey i got a htc touch pro GSM unlocked, i was wondeirng how do i install games or where can i download free games? I have tried with the microsoft mobile site, it blows. And the games i searched for teh JP (java) blend, have too small resolutions. Thanks for the help, email me at [email protected] or pm here.

Iphone is out weighed in many reasons like copy/paste function, no flash, 2mp camera the only upside could be the battry life. Also can anyone tell where could i download application like fm radio/youtube downloader/games bcos whatever i downloaded while install it says this is not a valid pocket pc application. Thanks

  • For tips/tricks, understanding, tunning or FLASHING CUSTOM ROMS please go to xda-developers :) [Read de WiKi first]

  • How easy is it to buy the phone from AT&T and delete the AT&T add-ons and turn the fuze into a regular touch pro? what would be the consequences of that ? Overall, what do you think IPHONE or HTC TOUCH PRO???

  • If you press and hold the X button it will close.

  • If I buy a HTC Fuze by AT&T and if I change the software to HTC Touch Pro Arabic version will I lose my connection (frequency)to AT&T? They are both are the same phones, but different names. Thanks

  • A Motorola SYN1504 Mini USB to 3.5mm Headset Converter

  • I just bought a Touch Pro from Sprint on 1/23/09. Great phone! However I just had my first problem with it... it froze up on me. Sprint CSRs said just pull the battery out and put it back in. That worried me but I think I know what happened... I also had too many programs running in the background. I found a setting so that when I click the X in the top right, not only does it close that application but it exits out of it too. That has helped. Still not sure I like the life of a charge though... pretty short.

  • on the mobile phone, opera is alot better than IE

  • i have no more info about htc devices. I returned my fuze to att for a refund. Camera is useless during the night and with no light due to a weak cam led flash. Thats what bugs me about smartphones/pda phones without powerful cam flashes or xenon flash. I'll stick to my n95 and buy the nokia 5800 touchscreen.

  • People who are about to buy or just bought the PRO or FUZE: You all need to know that this is a Pocket PC Phone with Windows Mobile. This is not a simple phone like some Samsung, LG, SE or iPhone. You have to READ very well the User Manual and search for some tips/tricks for this kind of gadgets [GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND] I've read 20 pages here complaining for the Battery or "freeze". You have to understand that some applications might be still open and taking memory or running in the background eating your battery! USE THE X button and CLOSE ALL RUNNING APPLICATIONS. AND DON'T leave the WIFI/BLUETOOTH all the times. Please go to xda-developers.com and READ the wiki for this PPC. For the person who ask for the YOUTUBE application or the FM RADIO, This can be installed on the FUZE with a CAB file. ALl this and more can be found on xda-developers, modaco and other websites!!! Have a nice DAY! :)

  • The Rock, you have given me some insights I would have not seen since I wanted to buy the phone online. Further, I have downloaded the user manuals and gone through them. What you have indicated there is all true. Thanks a lot. If you do have more information on this comparing it with the HTC Touch HD, I will really appreciate. One thought in particular is the screen comparison shown in the HTC Website for the HTC Touch HD. Is the other screens they say are smaller in comparison when viewing the maps, the 2.0 inches or the 2.8 inches? Regards, Paul.

  • Oh ok,I like opera alot, does anyone know which is better? The Opera or The IE?

  • good

  • of course this phone has youtube, i love this phone and wouldnt trade it for any other (maybe the xperia x1) butits the shnit. the only one that dont have youtube is crapy verizon, they dont want you to stream due to using alot of data, cheap bastards.

  • my htc touch pro can play youtube

  • also for a powerful pda phone, the camera led flash is weak during the night and with low light.

  • In UAE, cost of HTC Pro is Dhs 2,999 Whenit first came to UAE, it was Dhs 3,499

  • fuze -no secondary camera -numbers not are aligned in top row...they are almost in the center of the key pad in a grid form -no fm radio -battery life is weak att's version is always different from the original one. i bet att will change a few specs on the omnia and xperia1 when they get release in att. to find more info on the differences of fuze vs. touch pro visit an att store near you, which i did. they have never seen or heard of the original htc touch pro.

  • I would like to know the major differences between the HTC Fuze (from AT&T version of the HTC Touch Pro) and the Original HTC Touch Pro? Additionally, I would like to know if the HTC Fuze which is bought without the Contract Plan, comes SIM Locked or Unlocked. Further, I would like to know if the HTC Fuze has the FM Radio with RDS or if its disabled and whether it can be enabled in any way. Finally, in the HTC Fuze, is there the Headset as found in the Original HTC Touch Pro. This is because I have read that they have the Adaptor with all additional connections included in the sales package. All responses and answers will be appreciated in order to understand the differences between the HTC Fuze and the Original HTC Touch Pro and determine the better phone of the two to go for. Paul.

  • can any1 tell the exact amount of dis phone in dhirhams?? AED..

  • hey,can i use 3G in fuze in bangladesh(it has come from US)...plz give me solve...plz

  • It has both IE and Opera, but the default is opera for everything. You have to dig through the menus to find IE

  • You can't play youtube unless you have the diamond version. It doesn't come with the youtube feature :(

  • Thanks :D

  • Yes, it has IE and opera.

  • for a powerful pda phone, the led camera flash of the touch pro or fuze is weak, compared to the n95's powerful led camera flash. HTC should accomodate a powerful led camera flash for their pda phones.

  • I love this phone...all the work is good but im tensed about the slide.i had a n85 and i got prob with that slide...can someone give me any idea about the slide of pro??the is superb just some couldn't recognise it..

  • Does this phone have both the IE and the Opera like it says it does? And which is better, if so which is better?

  • hi guys i just got the phone ,and im loving it . but how do i play youtube on this phone .everything comes up pretty fast but just no video . can someone tell me step by step .and can i put tomtom in the phone ? and how ? thankyousomuchguys!!!!!!!!!

  • I recently purchased the fuze. I find that my n95 is easier to navigate and more user friendly. Probably, is just matter of getting use to the touchscreen again. I also have an iphone, but I rarely use it.

  • yeah you may be right for your self. using an easier phone means the user's brain cannot handle such complex and multitasking phone. its you.

  • Simon, What are you talking about? If I understand you correctly you can change the predictive text by pressing FN then Spacebar. This will switch off the T9 function, and you can write whatever your want. I have no idea about the e-mail setting changes, I have been using this set for 4 months now and the e-mail is working without any problems. Do not throw it to the wall, but check what is wrong or ask the service center. May be you set is defective and you can change it or repair under warranty. Best of luck.

  • It's utterly uesless, never have I had the misfortune to come across such a rubbish piece of hardware. For sure it looks good and feels well built, but I am sure the designers have tried to be far too smart with this. It is alarmingly easy to change settings and do things to it that you had no intention of doing and the prescriptive text is a nightmare, there appears to be no way of switching it off and it virtually always types what you don't want. I can't work out the logic of the default internet settings and the way it decides to store some pages and not others, the email connectivity settings have a habbit of changing themselves on their own, seriously not helpful. WTF is going on. Compare with the simple logic in an Audi MMI system, no comparison. If it wasn't for the fact this had been imposed on me (by our useless pointy head f**kwits in IT), I'd quite happily throw the thing against a wall and go back to a regular phone. At the end of the day if anything is really that important, then speak to someone, don't waste your life dicking around with one of the most frustrating things ever invented. PS - I am not a Ludite.

  • Question.... I live in Canada on the Rogers network and am looking at purchasing the touch pro or touch diamond. If i buy this phone unlocked...will ALL the features be usable? I've bought unlocked phones before and i can never use the WAP browser, internet, MMS (picture and video messaging)....etc....those are mainly the features that won't work. all the basic features work like SMS, calling, etc. Am i limited to only buying the phones from Rogers? thanks for you help

  • Juz get tis.. 1st time using pda.. looking forward to explore it... hahahaaa mm.. well.. hope it not disapointing.. :)

  • which touch screen sensation is better between touch pro, touch viva and touch HD??..which is the 1st, 2nd and 3rd....can list them out?..

  • the best

  • sounds like you might like the Palm Pre

  • My word, the keyboard looks enticing! I love the separate row for numbers. This is the main reason I would buy the HTC instead of SEXperia. I am delighted that HTC were brave enough to implement high res screens in both phones. What I find annoying...

  • AWESONE FONE!!!!!......... u R gona love it!!!... but only if ur smart... sum1 ppl has a had time operatin it.......mayb coz dey r dum...... n i hate samsungs .... dey luk so cheap.....!!!

  • Huge problem with alignment.

  • My word, the keyboard looks enticing! I love the separate row for numbers. This is the main reason I would buy the HTC instead of SEXperia. I am delighted that HTC were brave enough to implement high res screens in both phones. What I find annoying about HTC is their willingness to make obvious mistakes. Examples are the conspicuous absence of a 3.5mm output; below par camcording-extremely irritating especially since the device has such a wonderful screen. A further irritant is the lack of stereo speakers. Honestly; well manufactured stereophonic speakers truly enhance the users experience with the phone. Why do I get the overwhelming feeling that HTC are just too arrogant and stingy to implement these features??

  • I have HTC Fuze (At&t version of Touch Pro) and i discovered that there are sensors under hardware buttons which react on TOUCHING not pushing. I wonder why this function is not mentioned by manufacturers. All is needed - additional software "GScroll". This function allows you: 1) to swipe your finger left/right/up/down on the touch panel to scroll or navigate. This functionality will work in any Windows Mobile application that supports scrolling or navigation via the directional pad. 2)Also it allows you to use your built in accelerometer to scroll or navigate any application. Simply double tap the center circle, and then begin tilting. To exit 'Tap & Tilt' mode, simply tap the touch panel. 3)Also it allows each of the 4 quadrants of the touch panel to be assigned to a custom application. Double tapping the quadrant will launch the application of your choosing. You can also assign custom actions to the hotkey, such as 'Open Start Menu' and 'Close Current Application'. It works on HTC Touch Diamond, HTC Touch Pro For moderators: this link (http://www.mobilesrc.com/GScroll.aspx) shows good pistures and description about this function. It is not a commercial advertising. You can delete this link if considered so.

  • only mp4. pitiful

  • ppcwarez.org

  • I hav just bought one and experimenting, its amazing with lots of features, where do you download free software for divx & also for GPS.

  • It plays video like Mp4 and 3gp, and others. The only one that does not play is Divx, I installed a third party software free and now it is playing DIVX video. It is a good phone.

  • Does this phone play video? If yes. Which type

  • I biught this mobile last week,One of the best windows mobile i've ever seen, much better than xperia

  • it s a good phone

  • I have the pro and my carrier is Sprint I like it alot. You gotta get one if u dont already. The 3g network allows my Sprint Tv to play without breaking up and my friends hate there Instinct now.

  • mate my opinion go for the X1 there's no major faults and the batter life is umbelievable. The htc pro does match up but isn't as good for battery when ur using it for bare long, and the nokia n85 dont even concider it because its an embarrassment it should stop!

  • i lik phne.... my phone is gd... it water went but it wrki... i nrmally use the pone while etin food... i spill water and gravy on it but nothng happens...

  • You can use Gsen application to shut down the Accmeter auto rotate function, try to google it

  • One of the best mobile phones that I have ever seen, I love it, that's for sure, And I'll buy it sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooon :D

  • Is there anyway to shutdown the Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate?

  • look wise...its very cute!!! the phone hungs very soon, better to carry a spare battery with this phone or else its a waste keeping the phone. i still find nokia better than htc in terms of being fast in using the menu applications>>>

  • im a bit curious, if u dont mind, care to share the way u tested the cam that will show 0.3MP? thanx

  • It's still a zero-point-three (0.3) mp camera, because that's what it records. Don't be fooled - test it yourself.

  • It would be appreciated if you could l;et me know if the font can be made bigger and the Touch Pro has this option

  • if you buy from hk the 3g will not work in canada!! all their phones are not north american compat for 3g in canada.. have to get north americaN VERSON witch they wont have! it's the 3.5g is what u need

  • i used O2S be4,but yesterday i just bought Touch Pro, this gadget is really awsome ...lots improvement, especially the colour and camera quality. im still looking forward to new software which will make my gadget work better. i really like the touch flo 3d software ... but i have a lil problem with the battery life, i wish they can make it longer life, since touch Pro have higher procc speed from O2S which means will consume more power. looking forward if there's anyone can help about new software, especially G-sensor's GAME. luv it so much... and George, it has a small cam in front for "video call" , u can use front cam to take a picture too... but the quality is not good as the back one. definitelly u need to have this cool gadget.

  • I just read in other forum that theres only in European version. And if you pay attention on the pictures you will see the small camera only in perspective pictures. The front one has no small camera.

  • it should. there is a small camera on the front above the screen, i'm guessing for that reason

  • I didnt found on description, doesnt it makes video call?

  • hey i have a question, if i buy a htc touch pro in hk would the 3g work in canada? i'm not sure how the 3g networks work... so please helpp

  • Here's the low down, get the Touch Pro.

  • There is nothing to confuse you can go for OMNIA or HTC pro because both the handsets are performing well if you would like to for gud camera and expandable memory you can go for OMNIA and more over browsing will be same comparing to both the phones and coming to battery pack up both will be upto 5 continious hrs only. better go for samsung OMNIA.

  • please help me!i am confused if which is better, touch pro or touch HD?tnx

  • How can I set my microsoft word to 2003 version instead of the default setting of 2007?

  • "I have studies all the phones now and YES i want This HTC Touch Pro Now!!! Thank your for the feedback... Peace." Well better not start investigating the X1 then , otherwise everything's shaken....

  • Hi Mono, I am planning to buy HTC touch diamond phone. i am curious to know the battery backup time. Is it worst that every day we have to charge it? Please let me know your valuable comments on the Diomond battery back up. Thanks

  • I heard it has magnetic stylus, is it like tablet PC stylus?

  • it is a great phone but the battery life is so poor! how does one get around this?

  • Hey,, I like using HTC model phone so much,,My last phone was HTc touch diamond. It couldn't contain a lot of battery .I had used it just 4 months then it started to have problem with battery,I plugged battery for 5 hours but i could use only 2 hours after unplug it,, I'm very concern that problem is going to happen to HTC-pro,because i juts bought it yesterday-

  • Yes there is a mini USB to 3.5mm converter you can get online.

  • I have studies all the phones now and YES i want This HTC Touch Pro Now!!! Thank your for the feedback... Peace.

  • video share does not work on the fuze the setting are wap.cingular and it should be ims.cingular

  • hi guys, i just bought it today. but i have one problem though. i realize the right side key on the front panel is not as firm as the left side. means that if u rub it up and down actually u can feel it shaking. the right side is the hang up button and back key. do u guys have this problem too?

  • You should get the touch pro. I have it i say its the best fone in the world

  • It's the same phone. They use same platform. The question is in design and price.

  • u should get touch pro because the xperia is slow and is too much compared to this phone and the screen on the xperia is pressed in so htc and go to timtechs.com they have the best prices

  • i have been using wm phone for some time. My opinion, every single memory counts. the HTC has better memory compare to the x1. all petty profile will be soon avaliable via software. but again if the machine have limited memory and you are still running the beautiful profile. it will mean that other application will be affected. but sony design is good and much better compare to htc. but i think a smaller device suits me better. As i dun usually carry a handbag around.

  • BlackBerry Virtual OS Running On HTC Touch Pro:

  • its HTC... its Windows mobile... its a link to the future... its the best...

  • 11 is too young for a phone like this

  • Someone please give a hand. I need to decide between HTC Touch Pro and the Samsung Omnia.

  • htc touch pro or sony ericsson xperia x1?

  • Yes, it does! You can also plug in bigger ones.

  • Pocket Player for MP3 and CorePlayer for movies are just sooooo much better! ;)

  • You can just download and install Google maps and the GPS will work.

  • I faced the same problem with some files in MP3 format, but when I synced this files to the device using Media player on my PC it worked fine. I think that there is no need for a separate player.

  • Is there any way to change the large menu options off, older pdas used a smaller font on the pre-defined menus which pop up? I have changed the start menu to smaller font & the text size but the menus still come up in very large font???? Any help would be appreciated, thanks in anticipation.....

  • Any help or feedback would be appreciated......Is there any way to make the phone louder, I have received one but am awaiting a replacement as the in call volume is so quiet. I have used pda phones for 4 years & have tried everything I can think of to make the phone louder but with no luck. Are there are updates to make the general speaker volume louder as it is much quieter than my previous pda's, I am buying it as a pda & phone but its no good for that purpose if I can't hear it ring!!!!

  • I am using this phone for 10 days. Iam happy with it now. The music player not playing some MP3 smooth, so I installed another player and solve the problem. The speakers voulume is low compared to iphone and sonyericsson. the fash light can be used as normal light. The TV out is great. You can browze internet on the TV screen sa well as watching videos, pictures, documents, powerpoint and anything inside the phone. Touch Navigation through contacts and programs is hard since it is very sensetive. The best is to navigate through the keyboard. Now I getting use to it. It is really a great phone.

  • Missing a very basic function... While your talking on the phone, this device does not indicate how long the connection has been established.

  • Check out the iPhone comments on GsmArena homepage. I think HTC users got chewed up by iPhone users.

  • then ask your father if the phone is good

  • I'm not certainly sure about buying HTC touch pro. But I love to buy it. I need your opinion about the function of this phone? is it worth trying or not? Thaks dear...

  • please tell me which one of the following has the best quality of sound ie clear and loud ear phone and sound.........is it htc touch pro or htc touch HD????? as i am highly confused amd i want to buy one of them for internet purposes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which is the easiest one,,,,with keyboard like the pro or without keyboard like htc youch HD for fast and easy internet use?????????????and which one is the fastest browser of the internet????? please help me fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hello guys can you please tell me if touch pro works with the HC micro sd cards ? and will it work with the 8gb hc ?? thank you!!

  • this phone is crap dont buy windows

  • Great phone, pity about the battery life. Overall id say its probably the best touch/keyboard phones you can get. HTC win yet again.

  • I am using a 16GB in my Touch Pro with no problems.

  • Is the fuze good for a 11 year old? I really want this phone and money is no object because my father owns AT&T

  • i have the touch pro and have been using it since nov. i'm thinking about selling it if anyone knows anyone that is interested still looks brand new no scratches or anything [email protected]

  • does the tv-out functionality really nice? i mean above vcd quality?

  • 16gb on a memory card, it has 512 built in

  • Trevon: From the specs i have read, the Touch Pro supportsup to 16GB.

  • is the flash for the camera able to be used as a dedicated flash light as well?

  • does anyone who has this phone find it chunky??

  • micro SDHC and microSD are two different type of memory card but microSD is limited to maximum of 4G, however microSDHC is up to so far 16G.. 32G microSDHC is on the way, but definitely commercially available max is 16G microSDHC.. You can use both microSD and microSDHC, only difference is the maximum memory size. nowadays people opt to use microSDHC due to higher capacity.. but device must be compatible first. HTC Touch PRO is no problem, it is compatible with microSDHC

  • Excuse my ignorance in asking this one. First time wimo user/forum poster. I need to buy some memory for the Touch Pro. Is Micro SD the same thing as Micro SDHC? Wikipedia says that Micro SDHC is compatible with the Touch Pro. The HTC user doco mentions nothing about Micro SDHC but just talks about Micro SD. Are they one & the same thing? Can I buy an 8GB SDHC card for this phone? I'm stumped and haven't turned the thing on!

  • This mobile has everything that I need. TQ

  • Hey, don't you know you can install the HTC TouchFlo 3D interface on Xperia?? I don't want to say Xperia is the best but this is just in my oppinion, Xperia has Panels user interface and you can install TouchFlo 3D as one of the panels. When Omnia TouchWiz UI comes out, you can also install it as a panel, so you can get Xperia Panel, TouchFlo 3D, and Samsung TouchWiz UI in 1 Device.

  • The pro has more of a full keyboard, and bigger touch screen but can get smuggy. The experia isn't as high tech but is still nice. The pro has "touchflo" which is more flashy and cool. I know the pro has an accelarometer but not sure about experia. Also i think the experia has partial metal outside while the pro is plastic. The pro is more nice and newer, but both are good phones.

  • I've had this phone since September. Battery life was my only concern since it only lasts for less than a day. During the past 3 days I only charged my phone once and it is still showing full battery which is quite a shock to me. I hope it goes the same or even lasts for 1.5 day. does anyone else has the same experience?

  • Im totally very confused as to if i should go for Omnia, Touch Pro or Xperia.. I prefer having a keyboard, a decent battery life as i will be using a lot of wifi.. Also, Which of them has a better Sound Clarity, so that ringtones are crisp. Im happy with 3 MP or 5 MP and it dosent make a big difference to me. ANother point was How is the video recording in touch pro / xperia with flash on in the night??

  • hey..anyone can tell me what is the max of the external memory it can support?? and hw many internal memory??

  • video and picture quality same with your old phone

  • Hisham thanks for your posting. I have had the Touch Pro for 2 weeks and the bat dies in half a day due to being on the phone all day and a bluetooth in my ear, so I bought a backup battery from Seidio that I charge on a seperate HTC that my US provider sent me by accident. I thought the X1 would be the bomb but it looks as though the keyboard makes it a dud. Press 2 keys at once for the numbers? At least my old HTC 6700 had a "sticky" option key. I really like the Pro Touch keyboard. Is there a ROM update for the bat life?

  • For those that are complaining about speed/battery life... check out this website. (where all the actual developers are) After using the developer's ROM...I noticed how much difference there is. Ever since I did not dare to try the stock ROMs the phone companies provided (afraid that i'll hate this phone for life...stock roms give extremely slow speeds/battery life) Please read through that website CAREFULLY...you do not want to break your phone. i am not responsible for whatever you do to your phone. Just like to share this well-known website.

  • Go ahead and get it, you will not regret it, I have it and also have the Xperia, the Xperia is not worth the hype: 1- The chrome sorroundings on the handset is actually plastic covered with chrome look alike, and it gets dented and easily damaged. 2- HTC Touch Pro has a better grip when your holding it due to the rubberish back, the Xperia is very slippery. 3- The Xperia has a cool LED light that lights up when you get a missed call or sms's etc. HTC has the same but in the circular button in the middle of the handset. 4- Xperia has more battery life, HTC has a shorter battery life not bad but needs to be recharged every day and a half maximum. 5-HTC keyboard is very comfortable, Xperia lacks the row where the numbers are so you have to press 2 keys simultaneously to actually type a number. 6- HTC has TouchFlo which is very handy when tryingto dial numbers etc. coz you can slide between your favourite contacts and dial immediately, the Xperia doesn't have that so you have to go through the whole list or open the keyboard and type the name, its dangerous while driving. 7- The speaker is low in both handsets but the Xperia has a little higher speaker than the HTC Touch Pro but still fairly lower than other handsets, but you get used to it in a day or 2. I recommend you all to go for the HTC Touch Pro its worth what you pay for compared to the Xperia which will get you bored in no time and will break easily in one drop. The above statements have been tested and confirmed.

  • Do not buy from Fizi.com. The site has the HTC Touch Pro's picture as the HTC Touch 3G.

  • can some one tell me about the phones sound quality???

  • Is it exactly the same as the o2 xda serra??? please let me know...

  • Im considering getting the touch pro but im a little concerned with how expensive it is. Will somebody give me their opinion on the phone if its worth the money? If i should get a different sprint phone, which one should i get? thank you

  • I have a htc touch pro, could any body give me a piece of advice how can I get a GPS software and Gulf Maps.

  • Guys...first learn to explore a phone... you want a better batry life... Do this start-> settings-> system-> task manager->button->and here highlight the "end programs by tapping "X" " This will kill any application when you tap "X" Except for Active sync. Normally the application will be just minimized. So obviously more applications running back end.. more bat is consumed along with slow processing. you ppl are'nt kids to purchase a PDA. So sit and starts exploring the wonders of HTC and windows mobile. The only point is handle this with care dude.its not solid build..it is a pocket computer...not some silly nokia toy...u can contact me at [email protected] i've downloaded vista for my HTC and it works fine...i've got more than 10GB of software and i customise the looks whenever i find time to do it... would you guys dare to drop ur laptop?...

  • Try for navigation the TomTom software, see for instance: or google: tomtom for windows mobile "country"

  • no built in large memory like diamond only external memory slot is available for microsdhc 16g so far

  • hi,im in Australia. can someone help me where/How to get/download GPS software for this phone.please, i feel like a loser having this phone and not knowing how to get a GPS software. I thought i was a geek(smart kid), but then im not. tnx

  • ya it comes with one

  • Photos are ok, video recording is not very good, it is recording cif instead of vga. It is OK for me. Flash is a really disappointment not like the flash of sony erricsson. I like the option of zooming photos where you can zoom at any place of the photo instead of the normal zoom. I like this set.

  • Hi Friends! I'm planning to buy htc pro this week, can u pls tell me about its sound, camera quality, its flash & about its video capturing quality? rite now i'm using htc touch & its sound quality is good but not video quality!

  • What are the camera flash modes of the touch pro/fuze? on, automatic, still, off? just like the n95's? Can some please tell me? I am planning to get this phone through ATT.

  • Is there any 3.5mm converter cable for the HTC Touch Pro? Thanks.

  • Thank you for the review and the comments. Here is a link to HTC let's talk. For some absurd reason (a 2yr contract) this phone is free after rebates.

  • Hi, I just want to ask what is the built in storage memory in the HTC Touch Pro I was told it is 16GB is it true? can you plz reply to [email protected] Thank u in advance

  • You can easily get more than a day for moderate use. You can contact the hotline for HTC. Go to WWW.htc.com and select support and you will find their numbers. I have this phone for more than 2 month and it is stable and working fine. You have to get used to WM OS.

  • coreplayer are releasing a new video player which utilises the hardware acceleration inside the touch pro. so wait for that and playing back VGA videos will be fine! it is going to turn the touch HD into the ultimate video player!

  • i've used this phone approx. 1 month,so far so good as it goes.I heard a lotta pls said bout the terrible battery life, but for me it's not so bad as imagined and i'm using it for normal calling, messaging, replying mail, msn&some sites, thus taking some photos for my work, honestly the quality of the images really great & vividly clear although it's only up to 3.2mpixels. After all,i think this is the greatest phone ever in market and compare to my previous phones, heavily expensive but really worth the money!!

  • I can't agree with you more, you are 100% right.

  • sorry, I was stupid thats why i bought touch pro, actually, it cant play vga@30fps video smoothly. maximum smooth playback capacity is cif@30fps.

  • Hi guys, can anyone tell me how bad is the batt life? i heard Samsung Omnia is better than it, is it true? i really like this phone but if the batt so bad, i think i'll think about Omnia.

  • better to buy a standby battery with this phone. this phone is not up to the mark

  • Can somebody helps, I have tried several times to download GPS settings but could not win.Do you get GPS icon once successfully dowmloaded GPS

  • Claims a battery standby time of 367/406. When I asked HTC how to get that, I was told to switch off all comms, switch off 3G, set screen to lowest graphics, switch off TouchFLO 3D... and wait for it....remove your SIM card so that it does not search for networks, then you will get around 300hours standby. It's the most expensive desk paper weight I have.

  • I will be buying this phone this week from Bell Canada for $240 (three years contract). The issue is here i am reading stupid comments from uneducated or whatever people. They seems like 7 years old kids. -Do not trust readers comments here. -Read the Reviews here from experts(GSM) , 11 pages review which are more accurate and unbised. -Then go to you tube watch the videos, learn how to use it. Stop complaning, Grow up, there is no perfect product and perfect world.

  • How to make your Touch Pro dial pad work a lot better:

  • Too many calls are lost by the touchscreen accidentally answering or terminating incoming calls while phone is carried in belt pouch

  • I'm a new user for WM. HTC Touch Pro is my first PDA phone. It's awesome!!!But I can't view youtube from this phone and I don have any GPS software inside my phone. So can I know how can I solve this problem. Do I need to dl youtube mobile and any google map? Thanks for your help, man...

  • The AT&T Fuze keyboard takes away the very convenient number row to replace it with symbols. They put the numbers back to the "stardard" way on top of the letters on the right side of the keyboard.

  • I have recently bought this phone from UAE. I am sure this phone was meant to simplify life by the Windows OS, However, the Menu seems to be difficult to maneuver. The phone heats up after talking for only a couple of minutes and the Battery does not last me even half a day not having used blue tooth, wifi, having made sure all applications are closed when no longer in use. I wonder, if the HTC company meant to give, users of this phone, this kind of service or could there be some manufacturing fault. I have looked at a few websites to see if I could contact the responsible company/persons who could help me and managed to get to site where there were several contacts and their fax and telephone numbers but could not get thru to any fax or telephone answered. Is there someone out there who could help me? I have spent a tidy sum in acquiring this phone and am not happy unless there is something I am not doing right.

  • Battery life very bad . now I really hate this phone

  • Does the HTC Touch Pro have a different keyboard then the AT&T Fuze?? At first glance they apprear to be the same phone but something about the keyboard doesn't look the same. Thanks

  • Good choice for this phone!

  • I am getting this phone 2day and wanted to know does this phone have the ability of picture id when someone calls you?

  • Okay phone, but the D-Pad comes broken. D-pad only works reliably up-down, but 66% of time will end up hitting the one of the other buttons while trying to hit left-right. Even Sony learned from their joystick days. Either flip out the keyboard if you want real 4-way navigation, or switch to phone that HTC didn't mess up.

  • Go to XDA-Developers.com and there are instructions on there to get arabic support. Hope this helps

  • and by the way... go to xdadev form and learn some issues there. search there on how WM flatform works.

  • All i can say is you are not a wm user. tsek tsek tsek... you are just making some story that you are a wm user just so you can fire back. i always use open line pocket pcs... from univers(qtek9000) to polaris and now touch pro. mmm..... i also made some cookings of from way back when i still have my universal. you make the research job. pity.

  • I agree with your post and many similar others, this phone is ridiculously hard to use. It's not my first windows phone but this thing is a mess. menus are difficult and unclear. You never know what to click on to get where you want, no matter what you touch, whether you're trying to zoom in on a web page or selecting a name from your contacts to text, YOU WILL CALL SOMEONE. If I was a casual user who thrived on fancy features, I could spend the time dragging through menus to find the little morsels of graphics, but I need my phone as much for fun and excitement as I do for constant calling, messaging, and email. As far as that goes...they missed the point.

  • You can bay a cheaper price mobile phone that it has better than this htc specifications, the toshiba protage 900, amazing screen size 800x460 pixels and it cost about 300.00!

  • Hey guys had this phone for about a month now and it's awesome. I've done all the tweaks etc to improve TouchFlo performance, and increase speaker sound (or maybe I'm just imagining it's louder). I'm not sure if I stuffed it up in the registry or it just never worked, but I can't hear the tone when I have a call waiting. This feature is activated, turned on on my phone and there is a tone allocated to it which can I can play. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thx, [email protected]

  • Some menu. Clicking the network icon just shows that the speaker phone is on. No call waiting menu there, genius. But since you say 3G icon, I assume you're not using the Sprint version. If you're smart enough to do some research, you might see that this is an issue with this device.

  • Well can some one explain why a smart phone like HTC pro has to be hard to use? Can some tell me why it does not support other langauges in this global time of history. I am returning the Fuze to ATT because it will not allow me to upgrade the ROM by HTC to support other languages. I think it's an ATT problem. It's fantastic piece of equipment but I made many errors touching the screen and ending up calling somebody. or end up in a different page. I am going to try the experia X1a which will be released in USA NOv 24 and see if sony patched the language support to be more inclusive. historically they do a greay job like Blackberry and Nokia in supporing almost all languages.

  • Can anyone tell me, can you use this windows mobile alone to install apps and backup/restore independently, without using big windows 2000/XP/vista!!!

  • why does at&t have to change the keyboard?? :(

  • Please any idea why HTC would not support arabic on Fuze but would do it for HTC pro?

  • the menu for call waiting and other network related concerns is located on the signal icon(3g) upper right. you better return your touch pro or any windows mobile device. you are not capable you using such gadgets.

  • htc builds the xperia x1!!

  • I might return this phone after all. There is no menu for call waiting and 3-way calling! Granted, it does exist, but there is absolutely NO visual confirmation of call status whatsoever. I tried hanging up one party on a 3-way call, and it hanged up both calls altogether. I had c-phones 10 years ago that had this feature on the menu. At this price point, not including this simple feature is totally unacceptable. I saw on the web someone complaining about their older HTC Touch phone not having this call status feature. The comment was dated last year!

  • I am planning to buy this from ATT. Is the camera flash modes the same as the n95's: automatic, still,,,etc,?

  • Hey ppl who say about it's battery life? Use it wisely winmo has tweaks that you can do or dl to gain battery life. if non does work, buy a freaking bigger mA battery man....! sheeesh!! I'm so happy that i have AT&T they just got it a day a go and i ran to the store bought me one for $299. OHH one more thing, if you live in USA and you want this phone or the BB BOLD witch cost the same in ATT store(299 w/ 2yr contract) just go online (AMAZON.COM) and grab one for $149 if you can hold ur breath for 2-3 days while it ships to ya.

  • this is the big problem for people who has no idea of using a windows mobile device.... WMobile has lots of tweak and trick... so you better spend sometime and try to learn about your unit. go to a forum and ask help and info there... example : Battery issue... change the setting of your device to "turn off device if not use for 3 mins." but its not literal, its just a standby. there you can save battery. although the unit can still recieve txts and calls and it will alarm you. anothere thing is the application you are using... the more complex the application... example "games" the more CPU activity and the more battery is being use. like laptops. bottom line... just learn.... Windows mobile is not just a standard Cellphone like SE, nokia, IPHONE. its totally different... lots of tweaks, tricks and lots of application.

  • hi does anyone know if all the specs will work in usa?

  • I bought this phone a week ago. It's really expensive though but it's worth. You'll love it!

  • hey. now TouchFlo 3D on the Xperia X1 is all over the net. is there the opposit?? xperia panels on TouchPro???

  • no don't go for sony htc is the one

  • I've touch pro for a week..and wm 6.1 is so responsive, the handset is very eyecatching. The resolution display is very good.....but BlackBerry connect can't run on it.

  • Nope. I just got the Sprint HTC Touch Pro an it is crazy tight. The TV is awesome, evdo revA is amazing on data, keypad is perfect. Very pleased, I can pretty much put my laptop on a shelf and forget about it.

  • Look let me spell it out for you. IT'S NOT a 0.5MP camera!! Clearly the jpeg algorithm is aggressively trying to achieve a low jpeg file size where it should opt to maintain a certain image quality and go for a larger file size. This means whenever some object of interest is darker that a bright and detailed background object you in deep compost. Sometimes a grassy hill is left looking partly like a pool table. Allowing one to see the DCT blocks.A good compression algorithm should do this much smoother. A high quality jpeg setting or a raw-mode would make life a lot sweeter. A good picture may take 10 seconds to store. If it's perfect. And let's be honest. Who does not own a 2GB memory card or bigger in his Pro? So image files can be huge. Wait for a firmware update

  • With the HTC Pro, I can sort files (pictures for example) by filename or date. But when I sort by date, then scroll through the pictures with the cursor (arrow) keys, the phone always scrolls by filename. Is there a way to get the phone to scroll by the sort scheme, like IrfanView and other software do on a laptop computer? I do not want a slideshow - I want to scroll a few photos, then start at a different place in the list and scroll from there, etc.

  • Wrong. The filesize from the HTC camera is about 600 kb, whereas a typical compact camera 3 mp image is about 3 mb, or five times greater, because the sensor produces 3 mp of actual detail. If you compare the HTC's photos, you can see there is no detail. In other words, you can reduce the 2048 x 1536 image to 640 x 480, then resize up using PhotoZoomPro or Genuine Fractals and see no difference from the original. You can try that with a real camera, and the resize from 640 x 480 to 2048 x 1536 will show a great loss of detail from an original at 2048 x 1536.

  • If anyone want this phone you should know that I have it and is at a very low price. You can contact me at mail above.

  • No it not a vga (0.3mp) camera, if it was the file size would be tiny!Anyway it's the lens and censor that need upgrading not the number of pixels.3.2MP is more than sufficient for your average 6 x 4 photo print.Megapixel hype is sheer marketing...don't be fooled.

  • I no longer carry my Libretto computer since my HTC does it all. It plays the iPod MP4 videos, MP3's, does photo editing, reads and writes text files, reads PDF's, has Microsoft Windows, supports large flash cards, everything. One caveat - the 3 mp camera is really only 0.3 to 0.5 megapixels, and the internal software spreads that out to 3.2, but there is no detail beyond 0.3 mp.

  • i just bought this marvellous phone yesterday with quite a hectic price honestly.I think it's the most genuine and best phone in the market with it's outlook n insides although the price is high but really worth it,a truely masterclass device n uncomparable!!!

  • i was waiting to buy this phone since last 2mths but it is not available in india bombay till yet .today i m going to buy sony ex 1

  • Its only for AT&T!!!!!!! I work there!!!!

  • I have this phone for 2 weeks and the bad thing about this phone is the battery. It drain easily, I spend more time in charging than using it. I'm selling it phone right now to replace it for the new SE Xperia.

  • Wondering why your Windows Mobile Phone's battery life is shorter than you expected when you are not not even using it much? One reason is that Activesync may be running in the background without even you knowing and draining your battery. There is now a utility that can "kill off" the Activesync and prevent it from running in the background unnoticed. It will only run when you really wanted to Activesync. Download the free application by Elias called ASyncKiller.cab from

  • I bought this phone a two weeks ago in Saudi Arabia. Its really beautiful and the sounds of the speaker is five star when you grade it but the problem is the camera sometimes it freeze then all the keys will locked and you can't open any applications. You have to removed the battery just to restart it again.

  • Expensive though but I'm so excited to have this phone. Till finally I got one but turn out to be disappointed instead. The phone really look nice and elegant. The touch screen is really sensitive but the thing is; it froze when I tried the camera and video while zooming. You everything is lock, you cannot even turn it off unless you remove the battery. I didn't say htc brand is not of good quality but sometimes we can't avoid some factory defects. So, check the product before you buy it.

  • HEY i know this phone is comming out for Verizon and im pritty sure i want to get it but i know u can get apps on this phone with other providers but will u be able to get apps for verizon?

  • u want ur batt to last for a day u got to switch the hp to standby mode. which mean one press on the on and off button. So far mine can last to a day plus to 2 days

  • i had a pretty simple but yet delicate question regarding the phns location settings...coz i remember i got a SE years ago n it didn evn hav canada on the list..does ths 1 hav canada on the list? coz the time zone, weather stuff depends on tht specific setting i guess..so cud sm1 help me wth tht..really lookin forward to get it within a week or so..thnx..peace out

  • My battery won't last a day. Worst ever.

  • I've used this PDA during one week and there are three things that are really not good : 1) The screeen turns back during a phone call and doesn't "go live" as fast as desireable. This is to avoid undiserable touchs but you need to switch from ear to loudspeaker is a nightmare. 2) The button to lock the keys is very easy to unlock when you use it on your pocket 3)The batery life last only a day

  • try switching off the touchflo 3D for sometime and select only the items u nid on ur home screen, u wil see the difference, mine lasted for 4 days. try changing also other settings on d device with auto functions

  • Yes the HTC Pro Does have SDHC compi

  • u shd try windows mobile.com

  • to those who have this phone, a. how much was it? b. where/which site did u buy it from? thanks.

  • pretty awesome company really

  • Did you know that all PDA phones are made from HTC. Even the, all new amazing, Xperia - is made from HTC. Don't believe me? look it up on google...

  • The pro is same as diamond but has a slide-out keyboard. I like my pro better than the diamond.

  • mine was in greek and i did a hard reset to make it english. din't give me the option to choose any other language after hard reset.

  • Even though Att has the tilt I think the touch pro will replace it, that would be very good... I do think it's comping to Sprint Verizon At&t T-Mobile Reply me at

  • Well it depends on user if he needs keyboard. I sure do need it. Couse if you want to be connected to MSN with mobitele phone non-stop+long emails + i am writing this comment from mobile phone too. Couse some of us use it instead of laptop. Have Nokia E90 at the moment and wil go for Xperia, couse i just hate to have much smaller screen than my nice wide 4" i have right now.

  • i just got my touch pro last month..this is my first PDA.. and i kinda satisfied with it since i have done some research before i decided to buy it.. but honestly, u dont really need the full keyboard..trust me..so diamond or pro..up to you ;p

  • can it read micro SDHC??? I've got this phone and wanted to get a large micro SD for it but don know whether it support SDHC >

  • i heard u can run linux (openmoko) on it. can anyone confirm?

  • Pro no question

  • No. Unfortunately, the lower four buttons are not touch sensitive. It's one piece of plastic that pushes down. The outer ring of the inner button is touch sensitive, though. It's used to zoom the screen when using the net, and it works pretty good.

  • Hi, i really need confirmation asap. Where can I download english menu for touch pro, since im foreigner in Holland and all of Htc here in Holland are Dutch, some said I can choose the language, but some others said its not possible to have multilanguage, so either dutch or english. Thanks

  • Data counter for htc that works best for me is the SPB GPRS Monitor at SPB Software house

  • Well i read quite some reviews, and i must say this conclusion frim ths reviw of X1: says it what most of others agree: I've been asked the same question many times, and that is 'Which next-gen device'? Sitting in front of me now I have the Omnia, the Diamond, the Touch Pro, the X1 and i've also spent some time with the Treo Pro. For me, it's a choice between the Omnia and the X1... yes - i'd take the X1 over the Touch Pro. Wo without realising it, I guess i've declared that the X1 is at least the new king of the keyboarded device tree, even if I am having trouble choosing between it and the Omnia for the overall crown! You see, wider screen on X1 and Omnia means realy a GREAT deal, more that is says on paper, cause on Diamond and Pro screen in wasted couse it is like a square... So X1 for keyora, Omnia for those without keyboard. And HTC Toutch HD for those who have big pocket, couse it has bigger scren, but is is, like the iPhone too big to look good. And though it is bigger that that on Xperia, all ther extra biginess is again used for sides, so the width when in landscape is the same as on X1/Omnia, screen wasted again. WIDESCREEN Over ALL!!

  • i think touch pro is better...

  • n yes the navigation controls (buttons under the screen) are indeed touch-sensitive..hope tht works for u..tc

  • Are the buttons under the screen touch-sensitive? I couldn't find any info about it.

  • I got the Sprint version yesterday. So far, everything is cool, except the dismal battery life. The internet is 100x better than the Instinct.

  • touch pro

  • I have been using the phone for a few days and I love it!! It is so intutive and easy to use. I am NOT a teckie person and I have had no problems finding my way arouund all the features.

  • does anyone know where I can find a data counter of something like that for touchpro? I have to know how many mb I use a month...plz

  • Touch pro or Touch diamond? Which is the best?

  • The phone from Singapore comes with chinese Software Penpower, also comes with 8GB card.

  • MSN is included, and of course will use GPRS communication, so, depends of your type of contract, you will pay for the communication. The battery works for almost one day using the phone, GPS, Bluetooth, ... etc POWERFUL UNIT ! And the keyboard is the best never tried !!!

  • yes it has

  • Yes you can use blackberry, you just need the CaB file that supports it, its available. And yes battery last's a day, but what do you ecpect from such a powerfull device? How much battery life do you get from your laptop, and you dont even make calls from it?

  • hi guys does this touch pro has organiser pls let us known

  • Hi I was wondering if theres any way to use MSN on this phone. Also I was wondering if it cost every time you go online?

  • Guys... Does anybody know if this phone supports Blackberry Connect???

  • the battery lasted only a day.very disappointing.

  • hi guys i want to ask which mobile is better htc touch pro or samsung i900 wich mobile have the better sound volume and if the i900 is goo in use or it have problrms

  • What's the difference between the GPS equipped in the Touch Pro & the Diamond ?

  • of course ;)

  • Sorry, the name of the company does not appear.

  • Yes the name of the caller appears if you already stores the name in your contact list.

  • hi im an old Nokia user, I need to ask if the company's name of the caller appears on the screen when someone calls me. I never used a windows mobile, sorry for this beginners question, cause really Im planning to shift to HTC this time, hopefully.

  • u have 2 install divx player on ur device

  • When is the U.S. version being released?

  • someone please answer my question, can this phone play VGA movies? one of you must own this phone!

  • can somebody help me how to set up the accelerometer and touch flo 3d. when and how do you use this functions anyway? tnx heaps.

  • go to www.xda-devdlopers.com and check out their wiki page for your phone i promise you will be pleased with the info u find

  • Does the touch pro play Divx movies ???

  • well u cant av it

  • i want it badly

  • Does anyone know if the Touch Pro has Push to Talk.

  • yeah i know what you mean. do you think becuase it cannot record video in VGA, that it cannot playback. i mean it would make sense really. but, my N95 can play back VGA @ 30fps with no issues whatsoever and thats got some kinda video acceleration, as does the HTC touch HD so im not too sure now. we'll have to wait and see. alternatively, somebody here who owns one could just tell me! please!

  • Put in your sim card and hard reset it...

  • i am also interested in video record/playback specs..If you go by proccessor then max video record is cif at 30 fps in mpg4 so it suggests that it wont go to vga,,my treoo 500v will not take vga it just jumps along showing the odd frame but just because it only records at that resolution it does not mean it cant play back bigger formats,,I want to know in case xperia never appears befor xmas..ta

  • can the htc touch pro play video back in VGA without stuttering? just curious becuase i want the HTC touch HD and it is likely to have similar hardware. i know the older HTC models had video playback issues anyway an answer would be nice, im not holding my breath thanks :D

  • By using the HTC Touch Flow 3D i find that device pretty much too slow. Further the screen is too small its no fun to work with this device on daily base. Just a bigger screen, bigger keyboard more speed and better camera it would be perfect. Who knows maybe the HTC Touch HD PRO will be released some day.

  • does anybody know what applications can i add in my touch pro? what website or where i can download these applications?

  • You can use Kinoma player or codeplayer to play youtube videos.

  • Go to settings, Today, and select Items. There you will scroll using the stylus and you will find HTC Touch FLO 3d to activate.

  • my nokia 3310 was twice as thick as this but look what's Crammed into it???

  • Does any one know how to add the Youtube Client? Is it just a software that can be installed?

  • Hard reset can help you.

  • Can some one help me? i bought this phone yesterday and then i turned it on it didnt appear touch flow menu, instead of it it was a simple one. I was looking how to activate it but i didnt succeed. May be someone can help me with it

  • hi guys im looking for a new phone , and i like pc pockets and smartphones , so what is the best phone with windows mobile ? i want some thing fast and doesn't lag , because i have sony ericsson g900 and its the worst smartphone ever .

  • Everything was ok. only the head phone sound was too weak. I mean when you want to speak outside you can not hear easily.

  • I find its a shame that happens,,its the companys fault for chucking out fones everyday..Most are the same anyway in most makes and once it announced ,,launched ,,a bit of chat for a few months and everyones off to the next gizmo fone.. With the above said the support also runs out in forums and web reviews, people move onto the next thing rendering the forum fairly untouched..Only some of the outstanding fones continue year after year with continuous opinions and help and support which i really like..These in include n70,n73,n95,,s/e k750 htc touch/tytan2 but its those that break thru in terms of new features and reliability that keep selling,,theirs many a time ive gone back to k750i ,,n73,,sammy d900 etc because these are the tried and trusted and liked mobiles..IF htc brought the touch pro out and that was it for this year like xperia things would slow down and more people would buy pro as more reports come in and upgrades made available and people discuss it over a longer period,,"then" come the hints tricks and shortcuts for the said smartfones. My next choice will be xperia just for battery life,,better video record which i do use and it looks a bit more cheeful "BUT "if the xperia had never emerged id have gone for this touch pro and all others would as the most feature rich smartfone available.. What has happened is touch hd has come out and everyone piles off to that forum as the next big thing but the touch pro is still brilliant.. To all firms stop bringing out many models often the same and bring out superb truly tested devices once every couple of months to let the last model settle in and give it chance to sell,,we are not made of money but just as we save and can afford a model 2 months old out comes another one,,its credit crunch so it would be wise to cut down models...

  • I don't think so They will forget this phone when Nokia release their phone 5800 because of the price

  • I am very happy to see some people still liking this phone. Once Xperia lauch date approaches, all people are talking about Xperia and forgot this phone. I already have one and I am happy with it so far. Waiting to see the feedback on the Xperia.

  • really?ist that nice phone?im planning to buy it also but i must see the review of xperia if they have the same specs specially youtube client i rather choose htc pro for price reason hehe i wish its price droped faster

  • its proudly made in Taiwan, htc was the main supplier of the major phone companies since 1999

  • hai friend you know what is the made in country of this brand if know please inform me hope your riply

  • hai, please tell me what is the made in coutry of htc and is it comes from china

  • Hi there, after waiting for X1, I decided to buy Touch Pro, the very first day I was little bit wary, but now after one week I am pretty happy about it. Its the best smart phone (PDA phone, whatever..!) til now, I checked X1's specs but htc is much better. I use the windows explorer of the phone is far faster than opera, you can also get some handy apps from htc site..., still struggling with the gps but the google map works pretty well, I also had an iphone 3g, that was the worst shop. btw for using htc you should have a minimum IQ of 120! Viva htc... Ciao

  • Your are so right about this phone!!! Its a winner. No doubt.

  • this phone makes me WOW after i read the reviews on it...it has so many application that beyond my expectations i dnt know how htc put that so many function on this phone it really impress me.....i have an a conclusion that htc touch pro and xperia X1 is a twin...lets just wait for the review of Xperia X1

  • i know the gsmarena guys said it could support 8gb cards, but what about 16gb cards?

  • Hi guys. I've been using this phone for the last 2-3 weeks. It's by far the best phone I had. The keyboard is very handy. The screen is fantastic. The resolution allows so much stuff to be packed into it surfing the internet and reading articles is actually comfortable (if you have good vision). The size is not too big for all that it has and considering it runs on WM 6.1 it's quite fast too. Probably not as fast as some other simple mobiles but really it won't make you wait forever. I decided to buy the phone after reading the entire review here and I am very happy so far. It is well and truly heavyweight...

  • hello where can i find good games vga for htc touch pro and nice applications for this device. i have search but alot of the websites lack info on products or rank them well thanx

  • Which version of this phone will be 3G capable in Canada? I heard its being released to spring and verizon as well? do any support same 3g network as rogers? Will there be a HTC touch pro version 3g capable for rogers?

  • great phone..battery life is sort of short...

  • You to install any map first. You can download google map for free, but you are required to be connected to the internet. You can also buy other maps that do not require internet connection.

  • guys guys plzzzzzzzzzzzzz just read the phone review before post ur opinion!! it DOES play videos in any res. in a perfect quality and the gsmarena group rated it as the best video performance among other phones and also the audio quality rated as "good" that is better than iphone (poor quality) but less than tytn II (best) so just read more and write less!!

  • Check out the mother of all Diamond and Pro tips and tweaks site here If you just got your Diamond or Pro, this is a webpage you cannot afford not to bookmark.

  • Just HTC Touch Pro with my old HTC TYTN II 3 days ago. Main issues encountered on my new Touch Pro is the absence of ring sound during an incoming call. The speaker is working as I can get alert sound for incoming sms messages, playing MP3 music files, alert sound from alarm setting, calendar events, or keyboard sound. I have the mp3 file as my ringtone in explorer or I set in in setting->personal->sound and notifications->notification, select ring in 'ring type' and selected various ringtones. I able to hear the ring when I click on 'play' just to test the ring tone I have selected. I have smaller issues like typing text sms in a limited space because the sms text page displays trails of earlier sms text between you and the other side leaving little visible space to see what you type although the small area will allow you you scroll as you type in more your words. This I do not mind.

  • be more specific .. how cant u use the GPS?

  • The screen is VGA!!! and the movies are played in VGA resolution! What's the point enconding movies at 640x480 when the screen is 2.8" and i never said u can't play them at full resolution the key is in the bitrate... if u want to watch movies on a TV(with TVout cable), then encode them at least at a res of 640x480... 320x240, 368x208(PSP res) is perfect for watching movies on the phone.... believe me i tried all the res possible for this phone... u cant see any difference between 320x240, 368x308 and 640x480... the screen is perfect, the pixel fill rate is huge try for yourself to believe that no difference will be noticed

  • all, that is the best mobile i ever used really i'm so proud to have a mobile like this but i can't till now use GPS so it will be highly appreciated if anyone can help me

  • If it can't play video in VGA resolution then what good is the screen? Really disappointed.

  • Can this phone write chinese msg ? by stylus ?

  • u can also encode them at 368x208, framerate between 23.976 - 30fps. max bitrate should be 1200KB/s Now if u encode movies at 640x480 the movies will be played laggy.

  • It plays video format in mp4 and avi. I do not remember the other formats. You have to encode the movie to mp4 and use the frame size 320 x 240 and the frame rate as 25 fps. I am enjoying the movies on this device. The movie size can reach 600 mb.

  • If you still can not solve this problem, you can do a hard reset to the device. In most of the cases that I faced it solved my problems. Try and let me know.

  • I've done everything that you told me. I still can't receive any file from other phones via bluetooth. I can't even send a file from htc touch pro to other phones. usually if you want to send a file you can choose what way, either sms, mms or bluetooth, but the bluetooth is missing. I don't know what to do now, I really like this phone, but I think that's the only downside of this phone. everything are perfect.

  • Dear sir i'm yousing Nokia 9500 GSM, DATA, and FAX for the same facility i got from HTC Touch PRO

  • how is the speaker volume on the pro??

  • Hi all Stop comparing with Nokia phone guys, personally i work in Nokia Care Centre as a Customer Service Officer so i know what model is having what kind of shitty probs. Some of u are talking abt using metal as the material for TP? come on, u wan ur TP to heat up like Nokia 6500 (get heated up after talking for 2 mins) i've tried alot of nokia phone myself, the only decent model i see is N95 8GB and E90. dont think nokia as the phone of the phones =/

  • The htc has service centres in sa, not the samsung... buy it and you will never regret it...

  • If you need a slide out keyboard, you have to choose between pro or xperia. I already have pro and it is very good and stable. Pro advantage over xperia is the user interface, so if you want a good touch screen and swipe navigation rather than the panels go for pro. Xperia is very good also, slightly bigger screen and more resolution 800 x 480 in comparison with 480 x 640 for pro, and has more elegant finish, but the user interface is in no comparison with touch flo. Also the keyboard of Pro is better as you will have 5 row keyboard, and some short cuts for the e-mails, sms, opera, and communication manager. On the other hand xperia has an OK button and that is missing in PRO. If you do not want a slide out keyboard, I feel touch diamond is better, or wait for HTC HD. The omnia resolution is too low 240 x 400, if you compare both phone you will definately choose the diamond. Omnia resolution is too poor, but the camera should be better. It is finally your choice.

  • Does this phone play videos? Which formats?

  • no

  • no!! it very smooth

  • hi...is this phone laggy?

  • My commnent:- It awsome!..but there is one thing that i dont like and i hope HTC can do sometin bout it..the Vibrate function..the none stop vibration when u receive a call surely consume alot of battery..

  • can some1 pls help mi to compare between HTC PRO & TYTN 2

  • Be careful of people selling devices online or selling them through e-mail contacts. These are probably a scam.

  • This phone is available in Cambodia around 3 weeks before. The price is around 850$US.

  • Who cares what you will buy, seeing that this is the comments section for HTC Touch Pro and not some plasticky Nokia. Great hardware specs and a versatile OS, but this is certainly not an everyphone.

  • does it support picture mail

  • Nokia do not rule over anything else, you're a typical anti-every other phone make bar Nokia person. So narrow visioned. I manage a mobile phone store I got this phone the day it came out, and it is brilliant. Apart from the hefty price tag does everything I need it to do. The graphics are unreal. Definietly if you have the money invest in one of these babys.

  • It's Offical, This phone will be release by AT&T in the US the first week on Nov as the FUZE. They also rework the keyboard =-( But they have working AT&T Fuze model out already for testing and training.

  • u can buy this phone from heera panna in bombay price is 38500 rs

  • For sure you can send MMS to any mobile once you setup the mms configuration.

  • Does Touch Pro have a 3.5mm jack?

  • Can you send picture mail from the htc pro to other phones? (Not via email) Just regular

  • Copy u ringtone.mp3 to folder \windows\rings

  • NOKIA still rules when it comes to mobile phones. The Nokia 5800 touchscreen will surely boost up the competition...and I will buy that when it comes out.

  • I made a mistake buying my TP. I thought I bought the American Ver. with 3G 850, little did I know it was the internal. ver. with 3G 900/2100. So my TP is useless on Rogers 3G network. DAMN! need to sell it now.

  • yes, probably your device in its seting of blutouth in section of show my device to another is off,and seted to invisible

  • The touch pro needs a more solid locking mechanism to lock the sliding keyboard when it is fully closed and the screen should be tilt able like tytnII.

  • 2 Kerry If you compare Nokia an HTC . . . same man you should go back 1990 then nokia ruled.

  • Can anyone please let me know how to set the alarm tone to mp3 format. I tried to change it but it doesnot appear in the scroll down list. Thanks

  • I setup all the e-mails, gmail, yahoo, and exchange can you believe this i can't. They are working super. Lately they updated the OWA server to 2006, and I think they did something so it is not working now hint hint. I am working with IT and this should be solved soon depending on how hard i work cus i want to go to macdonalds to nite, but before in 2003 version it was working flawessly.

  • having voice not clear/audiable

  • how many memory can you put on this phone??

  • how can u receive a file like pictures or music via bluetooth with the touch pro? i've been trying sending some of my music and pix from my other phone via bluetooth to my touch pro, but it kept on failing to send. can i send my files from my touch pro to other phone? if someone knows how to do it, please reply on this site. thanks

  • why a slider keyboard? why not like this? my concept phone:

  • I setup all the e-mails, gmail, yahoo, and exchange. They are working fine. Lately they updated the OWA server to 2006, and I think they did something so it is not working now. I am working with IT and this should be solved soon, but before in 2003 version it was working flawessly.

  • Hi guys, How do i set up my internet email i.e. hotmail or yahoo? I followed the instructions i.e. go to start > messaging > ..but the option of choosing internet email account is not there. Thank you for help!

  • Thanks Nico

  • verizon will also have the htc touch pro its going to be called the rapheal u can check it out more on phonearena.com

  • Hello all the HTC users.. To improve the battery life the thing u can try is to update the ROM. Most of the time that will improve the battery life, and the touch will also qo quicker. Atleast, with the HTC touch Diamond.

  • Does anyone know if Verizon in the US will have a comparible phone? 3D flow touch with a full keyboard? I have two carriers to choose from at work Sprint and Verizon. I have been on Sprint for 8 years and the coverage still SUCKS. Any thoughts guidance is appreciated Thanks...

  • The main disadvantage I see in this phone is the flash and video recording. I had W960i from Sony and the flash and video recording is better than this Pro phone. The flash is completely useless at low light even if you only 1 meter away.

  • When you work with e-mails or writing some reviews on the net, you will the difference with the pro. Virtual keyboard is taking space from the screen size, but with this one the screen is yours.

  • hey all, i bought my htc pro a week ago as an addition to my existing n95. this is my first ever windows mobile device and i've expected a certain extent of "inconveniences" to adapt to the os (i've been using symbian phones this whole while). all in all, i am still exploring windows mobile but as of now, i don't think i have any main issues with the os. i like to think that it's a matter of preference. symbian can appear to be too simplistic in nature to some, yet at the same time windows mobile can frustrate some. my main concerns with htc touch pro is the sound (not loud and crisp enough for my liking) and the battery life (too short-lived. hehe.) aside from that - it's a good phone. and btw, i don't think i looks cheap. and i like the fact that its heavier than the average rest.

  • I bought this phone one week ago, and so far i am pretty satisfied, but still i'm not sure if i made the right choice choosing 'touch pro' over the 'diamond'. Biggest disadvantages in my opinion are short battery life and the weight of the phone. Everything else is perfect.

  • I have compared this unit to the Samsung Omnia. By far the Omina is a better unit and very realistic in price to buy out right. Eg 5 meg pix camera,vs 3 meg pix camera. Louder speaker, lighter. $1200 AUD versus $700 AUD, I know where I will be placing my investment. Come down in price HTC and you may capture the market share! For $1200 AUD today one can buy a mini HP laptop!

  • yes, it does!

  • Does the QWERTY Keyboard light up for use when dark?

  • Hello all, This phone will be released in the US as the AT&T Fuze in late Oct. AT&T Release Sheet says Oct.23 but I wouldnt get my hope up since they usually run late. The price hasn't been released but I'm guessing $200-299 with a 2 year contract. It will a US 3G model that has been repatched by AT&T to have CV (AT&T Cellular Video). ALso, yes its a fast phone and battery life is pretty good. After install Gigs worth of apps and video it still runs smoother then any other HTC phone in the market. Trust me I now have a HTC Touch Diamond, Touch Pro, Cruise, N95 8gb. The touch pro runs the smoothest.

  • I have just bought a Touch Pro after reading the hype. I previously owned a Nokia E70 for 2 years. I am going blind just trying to read the microscopic characters on the Pro Screen. I went into the setting and turned everything up to "large". Still awful to look at. The point in squashing everything in so it is so small it is no longer ledgible??? Stupid! After using the Nokia S60 V3 OS, the Microsoft Windows OS just looks like a primitive mess to me. So not fun and so not intuitive. Not happy. Will never by a windows mobile device again. Buy a Nokia. You won't know yourself. Is there a way to rip out the OS on the Pro and install something good??

  • how about its LOUD speaker??? does loud ???? like in HTC TyTN II and HTC TyTN

  • Basically, you do not understand me. You have to close all open application once you are done. Do not complain about the electricity bill if you are leaving the lights open day and night. Hope it is clear.

  • Just buy extra battery,or use portable charger

  • Dave, From my experience you can do the followings: 1- Do not keep any running programs, always close using the task manager. 2- Do not turn up the volume too much. 3- Keep the screen in low brightness. 4- Do not fully drain the battery. 5- Keep the e-mail push off if you do not need it. 6- Disable the HSPUA, and the HSDPA off if you do not need them. 7- Automatic screen switch off after 1 min or less. 8- The most important thing is you do not keep an audio track paused, this will simply drain the battery very quickly. You have to keep the audio track in unplayed mode where you see the couter as 0:00. It is better also to keep the active track saved in the phone memory instead of the storage card. Other stuff like bluetooth or wifi should be turned off when not used. Hope this help.

  • the battery life is not very good...

  • hi HTC user's, does anyone know how to improve the battery life or is there any software/firmware (whatever u call it, as long as u would not suggest to buy a stronger battery) that will help improve it's life ? thank you !!!

  • this, i definitely agree, thats y i got the omnia just bcoz it has a larger screen

  • Hi all, i work for a mobile phone network and just got the htc pro today, i think its a brilliant handset but has anyone had issues such as the pen being hard to take out and put in ? and the speaker volume being very quiet?

  • PRO .... Thanks a lot for your information. regarding arabic version I hope they will release it as soon as possible but what is sad that there will not be arabic charac. on the keyboard. why they can't release arabic keyboard it will be very nice anyway thanks alot

  • I have HTC Touch PRO ...its looks like my son's plastic toys... HTC should really look on to other phones from other companies like Nokia who uses metal too instead of plastic... Plastic makes phones look cheap... what happened to old XDA wich were made of aluminium ? They were great!

  • I think touch pro is so nice..but too the screen is not enough bigger

  • You are right, the Touch Pro is a business device in the first place with multimedia capability. It is based on windows mobile, and we all know that Mac OS is better in the interface than windows. I feel that the multimedia in this phone is more than enough for me as long as the set is capable of doing some other stuff like video call, video recording, copy and paste, MMS. Also note that there are a lot of doubt on the iphone security relating to exchange. If you need a better mutimedia than in the PRO go for the iphone. I can buy this iphone for my wife, my kid but not for me. There is a big of difference between Mistubishi evolution and Galant.

  • Arabic version is simply a ROM update, there is no date yet from HTC, but they will release it as they already relased it for the Diamond. The keyboard will not be in Arabic, but the virtual keyboard will have the Arabic characters after the ROM update. HTC says that the Arabic is not built in for this set unlike the Tytn II, so the slide out keyboard does not have Arabic character. Hope that helped.

  • my hands on experience of the Touch Pro is not as great as an iPhone. If you refer to other function spec like cut & paste, that's another story

  • Hey, I considered waiting around for the TOUCH HD, but there is no guarantee that Three will be retailing it. I won't ever buy a phone without it being attached to a network, due to strength of warranty and support. The specs on the GSM arena website for the Xperia do not mention the added 64MB for graphics card, so not sure where you found that information. I work in the telecommunications industry, so it is advantageous for me to become fluent with the latest handset. The PRO is unlike anyother, its like super fast PDA meet rich media user interations

  • if you look for good UI experience, namely, quick response, multi touch points, flipping pictures, zooming in/out; iphone does better

  • touch screen response too sluggish, navigation too slow

  • Congratulation Johny, I am also was the first customer to get HTC Touch Pro in Qatar. What is your opinion about the HTC Touch HD, you could have waited to get a bigger screen rather than 2.8", or you could wait for Xperia. Do you know that xperia is 384 MB ram? I think HTC touch Pro is 288 MB ram plus the 64MB for the graphics so total of 352. Can you confirm this info?

  • This feature is not supported in WM yet. You can not set MP3 to message alert.

  • The HTC TOUCH PRO is only available on to Austalian Customers on the Three Hutchison Network................ they have the best internet packs --> 1GB for $20 --> 2GB for $30 and 3GB for $40

  • can i ask this phone message ringtone can set as your own mp3 song? pls reply me

  • I am proud to say that I one of the first Hutchison Three Customers to contract to the HTC Touch Pro, which was arrived on Saturday 27th September at Three stores around the country. The phone is everything that I expected and much more, the ultra sharp 640x480 VGA touch screen is unlike any phone I have ever seen I was contemplating holding off upgrading until the HTC Diamond came in, but confident that I have made the right decision with the pro. Although the weight and thickness is greater on the PRO, the additional 94MB Ram plus double ROM (total 512MB) make performance ultra smooth and worthy of tradeoff. The slide out keyboard gives more freedom in writing long messages such as this forum post, confortably type on the querty keyboard This phone is the next step in Mobile Communications and far greater of a phone than the i-phone copy cats Omnia and Xperia

  • I am in australia and looking to buy HTC touch Pro, can anyone tell me if the GPS voice navigation is free and which maps are used. Thanks

  • SIN & PRO Thanks alot ..I was in doubt that these people are lying so it is true now Thank you again

  • i am from Trinidad & Tobago & i sell cell phones so i kinda know alot about dem & i can say dat dis handset is very good i brought in some & kept one 4 myself.I use a n95 8gb & a n81 8gb but dis htc helps me with my business. I really recommend it over others in the class of windows mobile 6.1 like d samsung i900 omnia.

  • hi, does anyone know how long does the battery last without on standby mode? i just want to make sure as the battery is giving me problems.

  • I had the same issue earilier but I decided to go for HTC for the followings: 1- Better interface than Omnia, touch flo 3D versus touch WIZ. 2- Fantastic resolution even smaller screen, VGA vs QVGA. Pixels are more in Pro than Omnia. 3- Kings of WM, as you may know that they manufacturing the platforms for Imate, and also manufactured Sony Xperia and other sets. 4- Keyboard is better than the screen keyboard, however the set is fat and heavy, but this is a price of the keyboard. 5- Ram is more than Omnia. 6- Youtube client installed. The decision is finally yours.

  • If i buy it from USA, will it work in Cyprus (EUROPE). What is european and american version? Two models? WTF?

  • i cant decide between the pro or the omnia. i know that they have pretty much the same features give and take a few. which one would be better? i tend 2 switch phones kinda quick so, i need a phone that i wont get tried of quick.

  • A tip for all the HTC Touch Owners. Do this and learn a bunch more about your phone. Go to www.htp.com and click support. Then choose the HTC Touch Pro. Then click User Guides. The whole HTC Touch Pro Manual will open in Adobe Acrobat and it's a big file over 9mb and consists of 312 pages with diagrams. OMG THIS WILL SAVE YOU SOME FRUSTRATION. I don't care if you built this phone I guarantee you will learn something new that will help you in the future. I stored mine on the storage card and advise all to not store it directly on the phone. It's a big file.

  • Problem Solved.... HTC has earned my respect to say they are Superior and Stand Up. They stay open until 1:00am Central Standard time in the USA and actually will assist with issues. WONDERFUL. The issue I had about typing is easily fixed. Once you go into the writing document of your choice whether Word, Excel, or Notes there is an keyboard icon. Press it and you will notice a triangle by the same keyboard icon that is a gateway for more typing options. Deselect the fields you don't won't which are different from the fields that show on tapping the reguar menu options.. FLAWLESS...

  • We all should "Thank" him for the offer (selling phone online), unfortunately I will not be his client and never will - I don't believe in online phone purchase. Too risky. Assuming I really receive the phone after paying him (No.1 risk), I'll be troubling him more after that. As a fussy customer (me), I'll often contact him with new info, software upgrades or even warranty claims even on small matters therefore he'll need to prepare to absorb my courier charges to & fro. He'll probably get so fed up and decides not to return my phone (No.2 Risk). Or maybe he'll decide to shut down his operation in order for me not to disturb him (No.3 Risk - no after sales service). Ha, Ha, Ha (LOL), hope my dry sense of humor above helps to open up some eyes for guys wanting to buy phone online. My recommendation - please don't. Product Warranty is the only fallback you'll have after giving your hard earned cash to the seller so better buy from your local authorised distributor. Cheers.

  • Do not ever trust these people, you should also take care if you purchas online.

  • do not TRUST them ... im 100% sure its a scam

  • HI, Does HTC touch pro is able to configure for VoIP? No in Nokia there is options for SIP configuration is it available for HTC also?

  • anyone bought a phone from these people .. can I trust them or no ???!!!! .. please help me if anyone know Thanks

  • Sin, If I close the active sync, after sometime it is opened again. Can I close it for ever without deleting my account? Do you enable the auto bright adjustment or turn it off? Thanks.

  • Sus, I like the touch pro, the S type has a smaller screen. You have the function of smart dialing where you press the answer key and then write the first letter of the person and the name will be shown for calling. Be careful, the iphone is slimmer than the pro, and less heavier. The pro is thick and heavy because of the keyboard. I did some research and found that most the keyboard devices are thick like that, even the new xperia is only 1mm thinner than the pro. Also the user interface and the touch screen is easier in the iphone than the pro, but you will get used to the pro quickly. Still people prefer the iphone over the pro because of the screen is 3.5" instead of 2.8", but the keyboard will save you the screen space while typing. Pro is more likely to be prone to a business device with multimedia capability, it is practical and functional for that purpose. Hope this help.

  • u can dial from the touch screen with no problems, i never open the keyboard to dial a number !!

  • i always close the active sync :) and try to dim the screen brightness to less than 1/2 of the bar

  • hey, tx for your answer, thats helpful., I do not know whats best for me, HTC touch pro or 740?? I did not like the iphone touchscreen, but the pro offers keyboard slide... what about making a SIMPLE phonecall, like fast dialing for favourite numbers? on iphone I have to proceed to 5 gestures to obtain 1 number, on my old samsung 1!!

  • Sin, I have the touch pro for 12 days now, it is a good phone, however the battery life is not good at all. Today I was listening to audio stored in the microsd for 20 min and I paused the audio after that. After 4 hours the battery drops to 60% without using the phone at all after pausing the file. Do you think that pausing a file is a problem? What can I do else to remove the audio file or stop it in th music tab. The only running program is active sync and the sync is set to manual. The only cons is the battery life. I will check again after changing the back light to be dimmed when the phone is locked. This is may be one of the reasons. Appreciate your reply.

  • WELL .. i have this phone for over 2 weeks now... PRO: - best screen i ever saw, its incredible, exposed to direct sunlight the screen is perfect readable/usable what ever u call it only if u set the screen brightness to MAX - WiFi is perfect - Browsing with OPERA is great (built in IE is awful) - SMS writing is excellent - Camera is more than enough and if u tweak it a little bit is more more than enough (im not a guy that takes pictures with a phone and especially at night) - Video Camera, i just like it, for me, again, its enough, of course u cant compare it with a N95 camera but i like ti - The Weather is great - Music player is great and combined with the built equalizer is even better - Reception is good - 3G is great - GPS is average - fast phone, no lags - watching videos is super... if u want to watch videos with the built in Windows Media player, u have to encode movies at 320x240, 400kbs video and 128kbs audio in MP4 format, if u want to watch AVI, u need COREPLAYER and still have to encode movies, cause if u watch a 700MB video at a res greater than the phones u will notice dropped frames and lags, i encode videos at 320x240 or more, 600kbs video 128kbs audio avi DIVX and its great - the touch is sensitive and accurate - youtube app works great CONS: - The battery ... i dont know why i put it in the cons section.. but ... lets see... if u use the phone intensly the battery lasts from 8am til next day at 10am i sure wanted to last more, but i think its enough - no 3.5mm no more cons .. i simply like this phone buy it if u want, u will not be dissapointed.

  • Question. How long would the device last with a single charge of the battery? Under the circumstance where your Wifi is not turned on, but your using the 3G system to access push mail and signed-in on Msn messenger.

  • hey, does any1 knows a good HTC accessories site/s? i want to change the external case / shell or give me a price for such a thing thx

  • try this click on START--> SETTINGS--> INPUT--> and there u can set the input methods.. word completion and other stuff good luck

  • remove the screen protection the screen protection blocks the speaker i had the same problem

  • Question. Does the QWERTY keyboard light up when you slide it out? or rather, can i use the keyboard in the dark?

  • My Comment The Mobile Is Okey, I'm very Like It. But This Mobile Have A bit Problem. When I have Receive The Phone Call fm Others The Voice I can't Hear Louder. Actually Already Maximum I have Increase The Volume speaker ear, But Its Already Maximum. Hope The HTC Can solve This Problem. Thanks

  • I got the Pro 2 days ago. Can't hear clearly the people who call me. Very nice phone but can't do well in the basic phone function!

  • T9 is available for ABC mode which is a bit strange! So turn that off and you will find it lets you type normally ;)

  • Sus, The HTC has the ability to store the numbers with the country code and show the caller id even if you receive a local call without the country code. I only did a hard reset to the set to return it to the original setting as it seems there was a problem when I sync with the outlook contacts. I sync again and the problem is gone now. I know that this problem is existing in the iphone, and not solved yet. I was about to get the iphone before the HTC but the facts say that iphone is not up to the expectation regarding the functionality, it is only good at user interface. Best of luck.

  • Tye Young, u need to install some driver gimme ur email
