HTC U11 - User Reviews

 • Hi. Pie shows bluetooth headset battery level. Pie offers open wi-fi channels when available. Some font errors got fixed with this update.

 • Should I update to Android pie on u11 dual sim? Any improvement in this version?

 • same for me bro. in 18 days of purchase got a long hairline crack by a low blow on side of screen. always use a back case.

 • just updated to u11. In mumbai ...smooth navigation...minimal change.. battery booty tested

 • Where do you live?

 • Personally very happy with phone. Fantastic design, excellent battery, very good camera and beautiful screen. The only real problem with the phone is that it's very slippery. Without a cover case, high risk of dropping the phone and getting everything shattered!

 • Dear all, I am currently facing an issue with my HTC U11 not charging (% not increasing & remain stagnant) or charge very slowly after trying a multiple of times daily. This issue also persist when I shut down my phone to charge where the red charging light will lid up and after 3 second it will dim so as the screen charging animation and restart the whole process. I believe it is not a hardware issue as when the battery charges to 100% it drains normally and while it charges it is not any warmer than usual. I hope my case is the same as reported in theandroidguy website posted on the 4th August 2019 where I am not the only person facing the same issue.

 • bro it depends on design also. even with a low blow on side of screen my display got a crack hairline.

 • Just a comment regarding some complaints that the phone is fragile, screen shattered...etc. It is important to know that if you dropped ANY if the new smartphones, the screen will definitely be shattered. This will happen even in the first day of use!. Since 2007 till now, I used 3 HTC, 2 Sony, 2 iPhone, 2 Xiaomi, 2 Samsung, 2 LGs, and one Lenovo (may be more manufacturers) and I had never broken any screen or changed a display. Why, ?? Because I use pay attention to my phone and use cases. My point is ( just in case you didn't agree with my blathering above) ,,, Don't Blame a phone maker if you broke the screen.

 • If you're updating to Android 9 beware of the super annoying volume control there is no easy wsy back

 • What recent app mange doesn't change in pie ???

 • You should watch Jerry's U11 durability test. This phone using glass on front and rear, so it fragile enough even Gorilla Glass 5 protect it

 • Screen didn't last a month. Even with edge protection, it has cracked. I literally tried to break my HTC 9 screen. Couldn't. Hoped U11 would be at close to as durable. Failed. Very disappointed.

 • Hi This update is across the globe or some specific region?

 • Yesterday i recive pie update , overall performance is ok and system works smooth , i noticed that battery performence way better than previous version , gaming is ok , and some feature like screen record , grayscale , new animation , added in this version , also when u are in app , games , and etc ... When ure someone calling u just pop up short square on top the notification bar to answer or decline , i recommende to upgrade and there is nothing as a bug

 • Yesterday, I received Android Pie update. First, I was hesitant to update. Then I decided and updated to Android 9. Here's my experience: - the download and update process were easy without any problems. Only the phone will restart 3-4 times during the update. - I recommend to disable any authentication before updating ( PIN, pattern or fingers print request). Also clear any cached Data. - After update, boot was normal the logo screen took little longer till uploaded the new Android version ( first, I thought something went wrongly. but nothing I can do, so I waited patiently ;-)) - I did not notice major changes in the sense experience. Only the notifications and quick toggles changed graphics. - Battery life is similar or slightly decreased ( it is only one day of use after upgrade) - camera App is the same - my installed Apps are working fine. - it is worth mentioning that I don't do games, so I don't have any game app installed. I don't know what will happen if someone phone has loads of game apps. - All my files and folders are ok - Wifi, Bluetooth and NFC and mobile internet are working properly. That's all for now.

 • HTC U11 rollout in Europe!

 • HTC U11 rollout in Europe!

 • Finally, upgrade my device to android one in jordan

 • When is the update coming to India??

 • Still no update in jordan

 • Hey everyone Has anyone updated their phone to Android 9 what's it like, is it any good, what about battery life is it better or worse.

 • If 7plus has 32 gig storage or up , pick 7plus

 • i have an offer for both for $400

 • 7 plus is more expensive

 • This phone or iPhone 7 Plus?

 • Any one can get Android 9 ?

 • i have u12+ since april, and same things i have. IDK whot to do :/

 • Used it since Feb 2018 (almost 16 months), everything works absolutely fine. Have used HTC for years and none of the phones gave me any issues except it gets gradually slower over time and battery capacity drops gradually which is normal. For the U11, my Accubattery fully charged battery SOT was 5:15 hours when new and after 16 months, it's still 4:50 hours. An awesome phone.

 • I have been using this awesome decide since Dec'17 & I m absolutely satisfied with its performance.A month ago the battery started draining very fast so I took it to the service centre, luckily 1 still exists here in Mumbai. They took 2 weeks to get it directly from Taiwan & replaced it.After the change the phone battery life is brilliant.I have taken out the cover & I m enjoying the feel.

 • I be able to see 6ram over the phone please help

 • Anybody knows about problems with the GPS receiver? Mine looses connection after 1-2 minutes of using maps. My friend's U11 has no problems

 • Any one can get Android 9 ?

 • I had this battery life since i bought the phone. From what are you saying its pretty bad while i thought it's fine

 • the phone is just perfect after almost 2 years, been using since release. It's really fast and camera is awesome, had some problems with charging port and screen but warranty fixed everything. The only problem is that recently the battery started draining super fast. 3 hrs screen time, 13 hrs since last full charge and it's below 15% :/

 • My HTC U11 working good for 1 and half year so far. Just started facing problem few weeks ago by an error popping up on my screen saying android system ui stopped and requested if want to send report to HTC support or not thrn screen starts flashing on off until I click the turn on/off button to restart or shutdown it then when I choose any..and after phone is on again problem disappear for many hours or day then repeats. As I read its not serious error but dont want my phone to stop suddenly specially having many data on internal storage so will transfer if this problem might wipe everything and force factory default someday! Anybody knows a solution for this problem?

 • Ah, you must be kidding.... 8 hrs of screen on time? I never saw that and heard special for a 3000mah battery phone. Can you share some screenshots of it if possible? My Pixel 2 XL gives 7-7.5 hrs of screen on time with normal usage. It has 3500 mAh. I wish I could get U11 plus.

 • Android Pie is coming very soon my dudes:

 • I always use the phone at maximum, screen time is about 8:30 hours, with 4G LTE all the time, waze, facebook, messenger, whatsapp, calls, messaging, and an bit of gameing I don't know what this people say that the battery is not good Mine after 1.5 years has no problem And it will receive Android 9 in April this year

 • Pixel 2 XL is at least double the price of the U11 where I live!

 • Whats your usage? What is the screen on time ? I have an offer of Exchanging my 8 months old Pixel 2 XL 128 gb with brand new sealed box of HTC U11 128gb. Thinking if this would be a good deal or not. I am very much worried about the battery.

 • Pixel 2 XL is an excellent device. Flawless performance. Great functionality fluid and great battery life. On my normal use I get 7 hours of screen on time. I have an offer of Exchanging my 8 months old Pixel 2 XL 128 gb with brand new sealed box of HTC U11 . Thinking if this would be a good deal or not.

 • HTC U11

 • My HTC U11 has no problem with the battery 3000mAh but the processor is 10nm 1 day of havy useage, with no problem

 • it's the same 3000mah with HTC 10, this is the cons upgrade to compare with

 • please enlighten me up : Google pixel 2xl Vs HTC U11? From HTC 10 Is it still worth to have snapdragon 835 flagship now, at what price point? Thanks

 • its a great phone indeed. I love it. But there are some cons. If u love updates then you might not like it. As htc is very slow at providing updates. But other than updats, there is no complain about it. I've been using it for over a year and haven't faced any issues

 • Guys I'm about to buy this phone but I need your help I own a nexus 6P but unfortunately, it went into bootloop and couldn't fix it Is the U11 a good alternative or should I look for smth else ?

 • Hello everyone. My blink feed and news republic doesn't work any ideas how to fix it. I tried cleaning the cache and data didn't work.

 • Mine has a security patch level dated 1st November 2018.

 • Ohhh man,my favorite brand and software "HTC' that has failing batteries after 1 year and failing hardware like speakers, camera etc. What a shamee,i really like their software, but pleasee, i don't want my phone to shutdown at 40% when i'm in middle of nowhere in darkness, which happend with my htc a9,which pretty much happends to m10 too and m8,and i had m8,m7,well 3 times.Just wondering why make same mistake, like lg does with bootloop, like sony does with their camera software.Just wondering...

 • My u11 survived an incredible hit on the wall and than fall to the ground without any damage :-) I also use it freely in the rain

 • I think somebody has to write a LONG essay against HTC... Sort of demarket them because of the way they handle software update. #hitemhard

 • U12+ didn't get pie for us to ask for U11 every month hits a new low in revenues for HTC, probably every employee is dead inside waiting for job termination, or everyone already left.

 • When does PIE come for HTC U 11?

 • I am truly suprised no one here ever ask about android 9 for HTC u11 anymore. Such a sad thing to be abandoned by the manufacturer after 1 update and or no new version updates for both HTC u11+ or the HTC12.

 • May i know, htc u 11 dual sim , support bandwidth both in uae and India. I wish to buy HTC U 11 from Dubai souq, to use in India. Please help me

 • please explain why the battery is worst? example SOT too low compare to another cellular

 • How about GSM Arena's review of this phone?

 • Best in performance. Never stucks. Never gets heated. But the battery is worst. The only dark spot is 🔋battery.

 • Any one can tell me about its battery performance on net

 • You can buy any of these phone.all phones are nice.htc 10 has 32gb internal storage which will be a little problem for the future.but it has memory card support.but it is advisable to go with atleast 64gb internal storage plus memory card support.all phones like HTC 10,htc u ultra, htc u11,htc u11plus and HTC u12plus will go for atleast 3years for use if u purchase.

 • You should go for U11, better user expericences.

 • Absolutely you should go for U11, promised !

 • I have one, but the battery only lasts for 10 hours with a medium usage. Is this considered good? Is there anything to do to increase the life time? Thank you.

 • Hi there The larger RAM should allow it to keep more apps running in the background, thus less reloading needed during multi tasking. And the price difference is not unreasonable such that I feel it is worth it. Though I am not sure about the pricing for Nigeria.

 • Sorry to bother you, please why would you advise one to go for the 6/128gb variant, Aside from the larger memory space are there any other difference in performance? Cos I'm looking to buy one here in my country Nigeria.. Thank you

 • Any one still stuck on november 2017 security patch like me? My model id 2PZC10000 australia

 • i acttualy own one and it is ip67 i´ve been using on the pool and in rain and it still works fine.

 • Thank you dear

 • The htc u11 is actually not ip67, it is very sensitive to water. But for the other I agree

 • I've also thought it has 100 Gb drive storage, contacted HTC support, they said that htc 10 has it, not u11. Gsmarena has it wrong on htc u11 specs. Nowhere on htc u11 box says it has 100 gb drive storage, neither on its web page.

 • Hello It says here on gsmarena product list that htc u11 has Google Drive (100 GB cloud storage), I just bought one but nothing there to redeem it, called google and they said its an htc matter not google, called htc but they have total ignorance, anyone can advise? thank you all

 • HTC used to be good on regular updates. However they now come less often, likely because HTC is short of fund and manpower. This U11 is promised to get Android 9 Pie, but no time frame has been given yet.

 • Personally, I would rule out the S8 because of its curved screen. Between U11 and Mate 10, depending on your priorities, each has its own advantages. Say, U11 for its stereo setup, audio prowess, IP67, Edge Sense, Liquid Surface design, SD835. Mate 10 for monochrome camera, bigger battery, Kirin 970, bigger screen. If you choose the U11, try getting the 128 GB storage with 6 GB RAM variant.

 • I bought this device 1 month ago, and i can say just briliant. :) Curently android 8.0.0 Europe

 • I bought this phone 1 month ago, android 8.0.0 runing. But i think oreo is also ready for this device.

 • Can I switch off the Companion entirely?

 • Am getting s8, u11 and mate 10 vanilla at the same price $380. Which one would you guys recommend?

 • How`s the software support from HTC for this model, do you receive regular updates....?

 • U11 in 128 GB storage & 6 GB RAM

 • sony xz1 or htc u11?

 • Which version of Android is HTC U11 currently on?

 • Do you receive regular updates to this phone from HTC?

 • Great phone BUT another lie around phone. From the beginning the phone was not water resistant. IP 67 rating work if you keep your phone 5 meters away from it..

 • I had the phone since it was launched and I did pre-order it at that time I m more than happy with it , battery life is very good and the camera is good . I am a photo enthusiast so i shoot RAW files with the mobile and I edit them using an app and they look good With the price that I got for and the performance I do not see other phone compete in this combo

 • awesome phone. Display is phenomenol even if its LCD but i haven't seen such a great diplay. Speakers are outstanding. network strength is great. simply amazing phone. thumbs up htc

 • Please don't use China phone, i beg you ! The difference you can not see is the quality of electric components inside the phone. China brand use bad quality than other brands. Trust me !

 • This Phone is the Greatest phone in 2017. Keep up the good job HTC.

 • I would say the V30 has the edge over the U11 based on features. But a fairer comparison should be between U11 Plus and V30, since they both were launched in H2 of 2017.

 • htc u11 or lg v30?

 • Should be no discernible difference in battery life between the two. The 6GB RAM version comes with 128GB internal storage, so it's definitely the better one.

 • Thanks

 • Pls how long does the battery of the 6gb ram version last compared to the 4gb ram, and which is a better choice?

 • Pls how long does the battery of the 6gb ram version last compared to the 4gb ram, and which is a better choice?

 • GSM Arena's camera comparison tool should help you scrutinize which phone camera gives better resolved detail. However if you put a lot of emphasis on great dynamic range, U11's HDR Boost mode (similar to Pixel's HDR+ mode) should trump the N7 Plus cam in dynamic range. U11 will also beat it in video recording with its OIS, Accoustic Focus, 1080p60, 1080p120 slow-mo. Not that N7 Plus is bad though.

 • Should i buy nokia 7 plus or spend a little more for u11? I want a good battery and camera.

 • Hi, sorry for the late reply. U11 being a last year flagship, surely offers high value for money if you can find a great deal. For your consideration: The Verge Editor's Choice HTC U11 review: Still worth a look in 2018

 • my budget is below 400euro At LLL: my top priority is to get the best phone for the budget :D I read that this u11 was one of the top phone of last year, so i expect to be still a good one. My requirements i think they are quiet generic, i want a phone that is reliable and enduring, so that will be still good in 2 years. And a good usability, i read that the U11 is quiet fast in browsing and app. All the other features like great camera and water/dust resistance are very nice to have, but nothing "mandatory" for me. I also realized that i have to accept compromises, for example no audio jack in u11 or no expandable memory in honor 10.. - A plus point could be the criticized squeeze function, it could be useful in winter time to check maps or messages without taking the gloves off. - A minus is instead for the the screen ratio, i'd rather prefer a 18:9, i don't mind notches. Despite Samsung, that i don't like, i am open for alternatives

 • Thanks for your suggestions, but Xiaomi and OnePlus are a bit above my budget (

 • i think u should go for Xiaomi Mi8 or Oneplus 6

 • Personally I would not consider picking Honor 10 due to lack of microSD slot, compounded by the ugly notch on top of the screen. Btw, if you are not after gaming processing power nor great camera performance, then what's your top priorities in selecting a phone?? Audio quality? Water & dust-resistance? Anything?

 • Hi there, i was wondering if it still make sense to buy the u11 as of 14 months from its release? The price and product seems to be very interesting to me, but i am considering if it would be better to get instead a newer mid-range phone at the same price. I was considering, as comparison, the Honor 10, with a nicer 19:9 screen ratio. I am no gamer, nor great photographer. Important for me are usability and reliability. Tnx!

 • Clearly, htc U11 is better than s9. Please do not enter any doubts in your minds:)

 • U11 ,camera with pixel port rivals the pixel , s9 is good to but samsung tend to over saturate with colours i would pic u11 matter of fact im looking to buy one thats why im here looking at the other specs i like the htc for their audio

 • Why not S9+ ? It's got bigger, albeit longer, screen and bigger battery, should be more suitable for your movie-watching need.

 • Can someone please guide me if i should buy u11 or s9 I need camera and battery as i watch movies with my phone alot

 • You are welcome. As for the camera quality between them, let me refer you to GSM Arena's compare tool to asses the image quality by yourself. But my take is, they are quite similar, with the Mi 8 having slight advantage overall, and an extra tele camera for better zoom.

 • Thanks for the reply... But what about in the terms of camera quality, which one is better, what do you think? :)

 • Personally I won't buy a phone without microSD slot, so Mi 8 is out of my consideration. It also has a notch on its screen, worse than symmetric normal bezels.

 • HTC U11 or Xiaomi Mi8?

 • not bad imo

 • U11. Beter sound quality, better camera. In fact, one of the best sound quality.

 • HTC U11 or XZ1 brand new, equal price, what will you choose and why???

 • Is it a bargain for 400 euros these days, what do you think???

 • Hi,maybe you dropped yoyr u11 many times to cracked and damaged it. If not you wrote just lies and lies and lies and.. all people know that htc have had the best quality especially in body and stamina in all brands. I think all of your story is made of sick mind. I HAVE HAD HTC U11 FOR 8 MONTHS AND IT IS LIKE THE FIRST DAY IN SHAPE AND SOFTWARE. bye

 • Both are very good quality but better as a htc speaker and screen.

 • Which one should i buy, sony xz1 or htc u11?

 • Hell of a phone after 7 months of use. Cam is fantastic, better than many pro cams, cpu, mem, bat, all perfect.

 • Well coming here and whining like that seems dumb. You should give more details so we can understand what really happened. Have mine U11 for 4 months and still rocks.

 • ok, thanks, ut u could turn off AL in camera setting on p20

 • Have had U11 7mths, finger print recognition app wiped off software, cannot retreave - / home button packed up! Pathetic "all glass unibody", back case cracked whilst phone was in sturdy phone case, so had to replace after accidently dropping phone. Now have spider shaped crack on front screen running from power button up to volume button..edge sense a marketing gimmick! For just under £500..HTC have lost the plot...it may look the business, but that's about all it is! Already looking at motorola as a better alternative..

 • Hi there, have you tried to compare their specs? They have pretty different specs that it should be easy to pick based on your preferences. Here are a number of the differences (U11 left side) Screen: QHD 16:9 vs FHD+ 18:9 Battery: 70s hours vs 80s hours (GSM Arena's tests) 3.5mm jack: n/a vs yes Camera: single (great) vs dual with 2x zoom (good) Audio: stereo speakers + USonic ear buds vs single speaker Chipset: SD835 (2017 flagship) vs SD660 (2017 midrange) Protection: IP67 vs none Body: glass back (Liquid Surface) vs aluminum back (ceramic finish) Take your time, cheers.

 • HTC u11 better than 10 Also beautiful Lg G6 is nice but always have problem when i want to make a call.phone ui sometime lagging sometime slow to response Xz 1 is nice and faster but need using stock rom to fully use of sony camera function P20 of course faster and camera very good but not convenience for the ai and setting(i prefer camera ui on mate 9) HTC u11 im prefer because easy to root and install custom rom. Faster and battery life is very good.it also charging quickly. From custom rom you can increase camera capability and i dont need to use p20 to get nice pic(you can try using google cam). Just frew day ago im using pixel 2 xl.pic is good but to change to pixel 2 xl not worth it if you have u11 except if you like to selfie, pixel 2 selfie pic is nice.

 • Im so confused which one to buy. Htc U11 or Nokia 7plus.. Need your help huys. Thanks in advance..

 • And among these what phone is best for you and why(exceot i know htc always had and has the best sound for music)?

 • Im from HTC 10 to LG G6 to to xperia XZ1 to Huawei P20 and now using HTC U11. The bezel is not problem at all.it is just a beautiful phone and im very happy using it. If only got audio jack should it be more convenience

 • Top and bottom bezels are sizeable, but no deal breaker.

 • can anyone tell about bezels size?

 • Android is at 8.0 yes but, I mean security patch which is stuck on December update. No security patches for half a year. Even htc 12+ on march security patch.

 • U11 is the best of all three, but it's also not the strongest (the HTC 10 is), so you have to be more careful.

 • U11 definitely..

 • can any one suggest me , i am planning to buy htc mobile currently using htc one e8 , i am stuck in between htc u ultra , htc 10 , htc u 11 , i am looking for using it for next 2-3 years which would be best option.....?

 • plss someone answer me i wanna buy it it's really matter to me if it had the ability to make albums in gallery or not??

 • I read some reviews that said the video recording in Full HD @ 60 fps will only last of 6 minutes. is that true?

 • can make albums in pic gallery or not ?

 • its on Oreo 8.0 ... you stuck on older version?

 • bezel is less compare to iphone 7 plus . iphone 7 plus is bigger in size with same screen of u11 5.5 inches .. as checked

 • It is still on December security update... no updates for 7 months, wth?

 • Same thoughts, its a mess

 • Only one thing disapoint me,and that is front facing camera...

 • Ok thank you very much

 • If u r satisfied with iPhone 7 plus,6s plus etc design then u should be satisfied with htc u 11 as well. In fact that bazels are not that bad,it's just fine.

 • So are the bezels that big?

 • I owned this beauty ..U11... 6 GB with 128 memory.. amazed with the overall performance. I left Samsung long back due to their screen flickering issue.

 • So I just have one quesiton : are the bezels so big i mean is it so ugly? Can you compare it to another phone by bezels

 • *u11

 • if you come from HTC m8..yup the camera sucks but here we talking about HTC U12..

 • The technology for the camera is called ultra pixel. That means more pixel density per square mm. No brainers dont understand that the pixels are digital overload. I can show you a camera with 4 MP and no iPhone can beat her. Its the pure quality. Dont look at the numbers. Dont be dumb. It's like the kids saying that car is better because on the gauge is more km/h than the other car. Compare in reality and don't talk please. Never tried, never talk. Hold on this and everything will be just fine.

 • You can't be serious saying that the camera is bad on this phone, have you even owned a u11? I had a u11 and then I upgraded to the U11 plus and the camera is excellent on both phones so to be fair you shouldn't be coming on here and saying such rubbish about this phone and as for specs wise I found the U11 to be a absolute beast with brilliant battery life and it never slowed down no matter what I threw at it. The u11 for the price is a great phone and it's bigger brother the u11 plus is outstanding also, end of story.

 • He/She really has no idea what are being compared. This HTC U11 is 2 times more powerful than Redmi Note 5 Pro, both processor and graphic power. HTC U11 also has much better camera, water resistant. This is the one that can compare to Oneplus 5, Samsung S8, Xiaomi Mi6, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2, and LG G6, totally not the same class to Redmi Note 5 Pro. However, to all respect, Redmi Note 5 Pro performance is better than Samsung Galaxy S6/Note 5, LG G4/V10, HTC One M9, Oneplus 2, almost 2 generation behind, but is still very powerful to be used, just not the most powerful on this day.

 • m8, you're talking like MediaTek MT6750T is better than snapdragon 820 because the MediaTek one has 8 cores and the S820 has 4 cores only. Don't let the numbers fool you. oh and the price is reasonable too, nothing is outdated here.

 • This is a superb phone . I have absolutely no problems with it. The EDGE sense is way too underrated . For me short squeeze opens voice rec and long one flash light. When a call comes you can answer the call by squeezing . It was a bit awkward at first but now I can't imagine a phone without it. Great signal on both SIMs. And prob one of the last phones not made in China/Vietnam . The only thing I don't like is the fact that the notif LED flashes only green.

 • You obviously know nothing about mobile phone camera quality. Try one before you make such foolish comments. I have an s8 and the camera quality is brilliant and I imagine the HTC U11 would also be brilliant.

 • You can't be serious, mate. How on earth did you just compare a last year flagship equipped with freaking SD835, QHD screen and flagship-level camera with a budget midrange with SD636, FHD screen and middling camera(s)? Try compare Samsung S8 (same generation with U11) with that Xiaomi device, what say you? S8's spec x price ratio not good also?? On a side note: P.S have a look at Asus Zenfone Max Pro (M1). Its specs x price ratio is even better than the Xiaomi, if that's what you are looking for. Cheers

 • those phone are not bad.. this one is... outdated price x specs ratio.. compare it to 200EUR phone: Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro thats how price x spec ratio should be. this phone's price is more than double that... but the specs is not even that far from it... my advice... wait for 2018 release of mid end phones... for a better price x specs ratio

 • So do you mean to say that the other more expensive phones with the same 12MP camera all have bad camera?? iPhone X, Samsung S9, S9+, S8, S8+, S7, S7+, Note 8,Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL?? There's much more to a camera than its megapixel number. Why don't you scrutinize both the U11 and U11 Plus Camera Quality in GSM Arena's own reviews?

 • The best phone I've had in my hands. It is ideal.

 • hi all , want an honest answer , how much SOT has the phone?

 • 490EUR is too much... the selling point is : 128gb internal and 6gb ram.... and camera is also bad for this price range. all phone above 210EUR should have atleast 13MP to be average... and 16MP to be good. storage is a bad selling point... since u could just use and change SD cards.. 32-64gb internal should suffice.. what youll get is a phone with quite fast phone with big storage where you could put lots of your mediocre quality shots... since it only has 12mp camera.. its a no for internal storage as a selling point, another no for the camera... and A BIG NO for the price!

 • No

 • U11, U11+, U11 Eyes are the best with camera

 • Which one to buy LG v30+ or HTC u 11? And why

 • iphone 6 is now several years old. Go for U11.

 • I would suggest you to buy U11+ since its better than both U11 and Iphone 6. :)

 • the U11 without a doubt

 • Very good phone recommended to buy. HTC done a good job.

 • Which one is best HTC U11 or iPhone 6 64 GB

 • The HTC U 11 is the best, the U12+ will be soon, and with some more features

 • Erm, it does not relate to updating to ANDROID OREO, the reason why the scores bumped up is because after AnTuTu updated from version 6.X.X to AnTuTu 7.X.X, even my XPERIA XZ with SNAPDRAGON 820 bumped up from a constant 150000+ in AnTuTu 6 and now bumped up to almost reaching 170000 after updating to AnTuTu 7. It is a norm for SNAPDRAGON 835 smartphones to score around 200000 to 210000 in the new AnTuTu 7, it is no different from other SNAPDRAGON 835 or EXYNOS 8895 smartphones. The only difference that will make the smartphone score a little more than others even with the same chipset is the ROM, which is the software. Currently, the brand which scored way more than others thanks to its software is HUAWEI, scoring even more than those smartphones with near to stock experience, at a score of 9000-10000 compared to stock ones like Sony, OnePlus scoring from 6000-7000

 • I wondering too, cause I want to use for mine Nintendo switch scare later brick...

 • Did anyone know and can tell me, the default type c cable come with phone support 56k ohm?

 • My HTC U11 (6GB ram), Nougat Score 170k on Antutu once its updated to Oreo and my performance bumped up to 208056 damn that's even higher than One Plus 5T or Huawei P20 pro. Just felted weird and damn illogical these benchmarking.

 • Htc is best I have been using htc since 2012 , I have used many phones of htc, but htc u 11 is extremely best & I loved it much it's performance, sound quality, camera everything is food using for six months

 • Meant oreo update lol

 • I have been using a u11 since June last year and I can say that performance is extremely good and especially since the nougat update also. The most screen on time I have had has been over 6 hours with 8 percent battery left and this phone never slows down or stutters no matter what I throw at it and it never restarts on its own its been 100% reliable. The U11 is a beast and I highly recommend it

 • Same... I don't know why htc is taking so long for U12?

 • Honestly, I didn't think to mention good performance, since it was a given on both the old phone and the new one (though the U11 runs cooler and has longer battery life doing it than the M7).

 • Can't wait for U12!

 • Hi, Burst mode is not working for me in the camera app. I tried by long pressing the photo button but it is taking single photo only. Before Oreo update it was working for me. Can anyone tell me how to enable the burst mode. Thanks.

 • Its very interesting that someone write that long about any phone and not even a word about the main thing-performance! Congratulations!

 • I bought this phone in February at $100 off from HTC to replace an HTC One M7. Yes, I keep phones a long time. I was hesitant due to guarded reviews and that my carrier Verizon didn't sell it. Very happy with the phone after using it for about 2 months now. Pros: - Works with most carriers, including Verizon (may need a new Nano SIM card and the rep needs to remember to set GSM HD calling for voice, though) - HTC Transfer Tool to quickly duplicate apps and configuration from one phone to the other. Admittedly a feature for migration from nearly any phone to all HTC phones, but still notable and nice. - Good price ($549 after discount, versus up to $1K for comparable phones like iPhone X or Samsung 9) - Sharp looking phone, available in colors (I had a blue M7, so got a blue U11). - Really sharp display and powerful audio. - Industry leading camera resolution and picture quality. - Early availability of Android Oreo. - Finger print scanner to access phone and log in to supporting apps, saving you from fumbling with PIN's and passwords. - HTC Sense Companion provides useful information like pedometer, notifies you at meal times about nearby restaurants, even notices that you've set an earlier than usual appointment the next morning in your calendar and offering to set a one-time alarm. Didn't find some of the following Cons in others' reviews to be an issue: - USB-C instead of audio jack. For the reasonable price (especially after discount) you get both an adapter for your present headset and some nice noise-cancelling earbuds. I'm not a heavy headset user for calls or music, so it's not a deal breaker for me. USB-C is symmetrical, and seems sturdier than Micro-USB (not likely to develop connection problems). And there's also bluetooth for speakers and car audio systems. Dropping the analog audio jack is the inevitable wave of the future. - Battery life below-average by industry standards. I went from about 15 hours battery life (when new) on the M7 to almost 2 days on the U11. I use the phone for browsing and occasional calls, and not heavy use of music and videos. Lots of power-saving options that can be tuned to optimize battery life. Even if you have to charge it mid-day, Qualcomm fast charger gets you back up to full within a few hours. - Squeeze feature is gimmicky I at least find it useful for the default mode, which is to turn on the camera. Was able to quickly take pictures on the U11 where I was fumbling through menus with the M7 and often missed the shot. - Data saving options not turned on by default. This was a data-thirsty phone until I spent some time tuning it, even after transferring all my app and phone configuration from the M7, but once set, now sips data. I have an 8 GB plan shared among multiple phones, and can easily stay within it. - Only supports GSM and not CDMA. My carrier is standing down CDMA in 2019. If you travel extensively in non-GSM areas, an inexpensive flip phone that supports all bands might be a good emergency preparedness option. HD calling via GSM brings call audio quality up to at least landline standards. - Glass back fragile and easily smeared with fingerprints. Most mortal phone users who want them to last a decent lifespan will put them in a protective case, anyway. Spigen makes an inexpensive soft clear bumper case that doesn't detract from the color and gloss of the phone. Mine has survived a few short drops, and will likely remain unbroken for its service life if usual precautions are taken. - Display margins and top/bottom bars look dated. Moving up from an older phone, not really a deal-breaker for me. The alternatives seem suboptimal anyway (edge-to-edge screen either adds an ugly and distracting "notch" for the selfie camera, has the button/fingerprint scanner on the back where you can easily miss and smear the camera lens, or requires other gimmicks like curved screens that are more vulnerable to scratches/breakage and require more expensive screen protectors, etc.). - Not an OLED display. Looks about as bright and sharp as an OLED display, and without the cost/potential reliability issues. - Not a widely sold/supported phone and with brand having a bad rap for quality control issues. Most carriers can easily activate any unlocked phone. My M7 lasted four years without failure or screen breakage. Ask me about this one again in a couple of years, but haven't yet had the problems others have reported (fingers crossed).

 • can we decrease the resolution of the screen to 1080p with android oreo 8.0 ?

 • Yeah usually with these big updates it would be better to do first a factory reset, install update and then reinstall all your apps.

 • please note that boots+ only clear files that apps cache in the main partition of the ROM-chip. but there is also a cache partition, which is separate and is not even cleared with a factory reset. that partition holds information that is accessed at system bootup. the only way to clear that is from the bootloader mode. you should have cleared the junk in it, just before you updated the ROM-chip but it's too late for that now. you can clear it now without factory resetting. (but it would be best to clear it & factory reset your phone as you have cliches)

 • When I updated my U11 to oreo I had problems with the playstore crashing also but a factory reset fixed it for me and since then my U11 has been absolutely perfect with no issues at all. Battery life is outstanding also with oreo

 • You must be sure that Boost+ doesn't optimize Play Store

 • After 5 months using HTC U11 Solar red 6Gb ram 128Gb: Pros: -Awesome design and color(solar red) that catches people's eyes - Fast charging, good battery, even on heavy use, no need for more than twice per day charging. - Very fast in opening multi tasks like up to 30+ opened google tabs with other apps but no lagging. - Didnt find yet a good screen protector, spigen case protecting it perfectly and the glass screen not easy to show or catch cratches. Still as new. - Good sound system for music listening and video watching - Good camera but you need time to learn all features to take the utmost of its high quality. Cons: - Google playstore consistently crashing after last update(Oreo!!). Some said to clean cache files, well cleaning it always through boost+, others said best to factory reset device but have no time now for that especially need to copy files in internal storage. - Few times abnormal get out of system then in to say android stopped...similar to playstore crash but system this time as if refreshing or restarting! - If you do not setup Edge sense, it keeps on popping up at every by accident little squeeze of device.

 • after that great flagship of htc u11 i am excited for u12..

 • See Audio Jack Adapter Toolkit on Google play.

 • Has anyone had any issues with the USB headphones or USB to 3.5mm adaptor ? I've seen a lot of issues reported on Google play along these lines.

 • Coming Soon ( u12 ) < -------- :D 2018

 • Hello people, I didnt recive latest update via OTA, my latest sw version is 2.33.401.10, is there any information about this. Location Europe, Serbia. Thanks in advance.

 • Thanks for the info bud and I tend to trade phones in to knock money off the ones I want and at the moment I have a u11 and g6 and I am also currently interested in the U11 plus or the Samsung s9 plus which be shown tomorrow but I admit I do love lg phones and the v30 is very nice. I would get a S8 plus but I admit I don't like the fingerprint placement all that much but I know when the s9 is shown tomorrow then the S8 plus will drop massively in price so that could be a option or even the note 8 also.

 • V30 + is also a great device but If you already have a U11 then don buy it. Main reason for that is the V30's display is not consistently great. I am fortunate enough to have a unit with great display without any display issues as mentioned by others, but can't tell about other V30 units. Only reason I went to V30+ is because of Oled display. Wait for couple of months you will get lot of other options as new flagship devices are about to get announced. If you feel the prices for 2018 flagships are ridiculous then buy last years ones, they will definitely get a price drop. PS: Selfi camera of V30 really really sucks.

 • How would you compare the U11 to the v30,would you say the v30 is better in anyway at all,? I have a u11 myself but I am considering getting a v30 but I don't know if it would be worth it because the U11 is a excellent phone as it is.

 • Well I sold my U11 last week for good or bad I can't say. And got LG V30+. But still I will say HTC U11 is a great device and I miss it some times.

 • Get U11 Plus if you can. Its the best 2017 flagship you can buy. If you want an amoled display then look into Oneplus 5T its a good option in a decent budget.

 • I am due for an upgrade later on. I am confused on which phones should I get.The U11, Mate 10, S8/Plus. I like both front and rear camera to be decent shots.

 • Restart phone and clear cache from recovery mode.

 • Oreo has ruined my phone, battery life used to be brilliant, now it drains a lot faster, phone freezes occasionally and the multitasking button isnt working!!!!!

 • I drop my U11 twice without protect case (I hate case), and I am lucky ... nothing happen! however even glass broken I can easy buy cheap parts from taobao then replace it myself. (That's the reason I don't use case)

 • Have you ever drop your phone on a hard surface? This could have transfer the energy from the impact internally causing the connector ribbon for back key to partially dislodge. This happened to me with the digitizer when my phone fell hard on tile. I had a case on & tempered glass screen protector but that did not stop force transfer.. The screen would show fine but be none responsive to touch from time to time. But would work OK with a mouse on a USB OTG adaptor. Took it to a local repair store and they disconnected the ribbon and reseated it and everything went pack to normal. Run the hardware diagnostics from the htc help app. If it's not working in there it's not a software proplem and you have to get the cable properly reconnected or a part will have to be changed.

 • It might be hardware issue. get it checked with the service center. I live in Bangalore and we have 5 service center in this city alone.

 • This was the best phine I have ever bought, camera, battery, screen quality, 3D sound recording, cat16 internet, sweety edge function, and many others incredible features that may the other brands have in the next two years if they do their best! In ine word, incredible

 • I have never been disappointed in htc products, i bought the u11 yesterday and that phone is an amazing.. I have used samsung, Sony and LG but to be honest I've never found a phone as good and fluid as htc products.. and not to forget the htc m8 which i had was still the best phone I've used in the past. I don't know why people prefer samsung although they offer good phones but in my opinion htc Is the way to go If you're looking for a premium phone. Note: don't buy the low end gadgets from HTC, buy the flagships and you will be pleased.

 • Does anyone have Back button problems? Mine freezes almost everytime I use it. 2 months old. Then suddenly responds. It become more and more frequent as days pass by at first Only some times now Everytime I use. Really frustated . HTC India closed almost all it's service centers and only one servicecenter per state. Time packup. Even after Oreo Update it was freezing.

 • Yes i have been offered a referbished u11 :-/ so a bit worried this may happen again obviously

 • Is it still under warranty? Take it back for repair or replacement.

 • The case that comes with the phone is ridiculous. In 1 week the super fragile screen was broken without even falling. Just a little bump while in my pocket and r.i.p. Screen. And no replacement anywhere... But ok it was still usable. What I use most on my phones is the GPS. Well, when it worked, after 5min trying to lock, it lost signal every 2min, a big pain in the *SS. Back glass also fragile, broke after a small 50cm fall. The speed was no improvement from my Xperia z2, and it lags a lot. Lack of audio jack is also a pain. Battery ok but could be much better. The camera is great though.

 • Im on contract with this phone last week after only owning it for 5 months while it was on charge and getting extremly hot my screen went brown and i lost my screen and any ability to do anything with it ...and only making noises for some things i couldn't even recieve phone calls. :(

 • Today I saw this phone in a retail shop and I had a hands on experience. I just have one word: wow. The phone looks exquisit. Formidible build quality and the screen edges just flush in the metal trim with the liquid glass back doing the same. What a beautiful phone to see in real and to hold.

 • Russia received 15 january

 • Overall a super device..phone of the yr 2017.Got Oreo update yday & the phone feels even more faster now with slight improvement in battery life. It's superfast, doesn't heat up,charges fully in 90 mins & it easily lasts a day with heavy usage. The camera is outstanding even in low light. The usonic earphones r best in class. Its a stunning looking device.I m.using a spigen cover as I m scared of dropping it.If given a chance I would buy this phone again.

 • Just got my Oreo update on Tuesday. So far so good with no problems.

 • Finally receive my Oreo in Malaysia. Thank you so much HTC even though its almost 3 months later than the States which I'm still bitter about it but well nothing beats rocking Oreo feeling like a new phone now.

 • received oreo yesterday 31.1.18 for my U11 in india, thank you htc.

 • Got the Oreo update here in the philippines.

 • Receiving Oreo update now in India. It weighs around 1.41GB. Downloading......

 • Same here, in Russia! No UPDATES.

 • Yes same here and I'm bloody disappointing at you HTC Malaysia for the price I paid for the phone without any software update and worst still its worst that China Phones (pun intended). Boo HTC you can update bloat carriers in the States but you cannot provide updates on unlocked HTC U11 in Malaysia that's disgusting.

 • According to HTC India tweet, Oreo for U11 is getting released on 30.01.2018

 • I still haven't got my oreo update yet in Malaysia. Still on 7.1.1 with software version 1.27.400.21.....

 • Yes, you still get OTA updates in developer mode. All developer mode dose is give you access to additional setting. It's not like rooting your phone or installing a custom ROM which involves modifying or replacing the official ROM.

 • Both have pretty much has the same price here in malaysia tho the nokia 8 is a bit cheaper. I guess,I need to.say goodbye to bothie. Thanks.for.replying

 • I would suggest for U11 as it better than Nokia 8 in every aspect check the specification & camera is awesome too with stock like android system.

 • Im planning to get a new phone but still cant decide which. Nokia 8 was on top of my list but this squeeze-able phone(u11) make me think twice which 1 should I get. Any thoughts want to share?

 • Fyi Found it through Google

 • Hi all, Just received oreo which allows to select aptx / aptx hd as bluetooth audio codec in developper mode but I'm wondering if after having set the phone in developper mode you can still receive OTA updates ? I'm also a bit confused as to know if HTC U11 really does supports aptx / aptx hd, topics on xda seems to say it does, but I couldn't find the HTC U11 on the aptx website .... Thanks for your answer. Cheers.

 • Where are SAR information ? SAR = Radiation !!!

 • Received Oreo 8.0 yesterday, I'm in Malaysia.. So far so good.. Performance is great, battery life still good as before. Lot of new feature so I'm satisfied..

 • when i read many many users or testers online bad reviews on htc phones makes me sick .... do not trust their reviews test the phones by yourself first... they are badly underrated

 • I have not faced such issue. Phone is absolutely gorgeous and sturdy enough to last almost 4 months in my hands now (of course with a good back case). However if you wana buy HTC devices make sure after sales service is good at your place as I have friends from different places who had had to wait for weeks to get a screen replaced(not U11 but its a common complaint)

 • I have read so many bad reviews regarding screen glass quality. Many users report cracked screens even if the phone was not dropped but inside pants pockets. For instance some folks had the phone in pocket and when they sit on a chair and forgot to take the phone out of pocket due to little pressure the screen cracked. Anyone faces these issues? They say that the edge sense gimmick causes these due to the frame not being rigid and the glass taking all pressure.

 • No Oreo update in India till now. HTC is silent on Twitter too. Seems HTC is going (old) Nokia way... good product and worst customer care.

 • No I didn't to be fair which in hindsight wasn't a good idea but I don't mind factory resetting the phone anyways because setting it back up is easy for us who buy phones alot and set them up.

 • After using my phone with the oreo update today I must admit I love the edge launcher and I have mine on short squeeze for the launcher and long squeeze for screen off which comes in very handy. I think the U11 is so underrated with the squeeze thing and all phones should have it,it's certainly no gimmick.

 • Question. Did you clear your cache partition before you installed the update?

 • Finally got the oreo update in the UK but it did break the Google play store completely for me so in the end I just factory reset the phone and now it's running great. Battery life seems better and the phone flies,no slow downs whatsoever :)

 • with mobile hotspot off go to your quick toggles and hold on "Hotspot" till the setting for it open. you should be able to set a name & password for it, then turn it on. if that is not possible, it's not normal for a factory unlocked phone.

 • got oreo friday much better experience over all besides the fact that i was allready pleased with the 11 much faster seams and smoother

 • got oreo friday much better experience over all besides the fact that i was allready pleased with the 11 much faster seams and smoother

 • HTC taking their own time to update to Oreo in India. I believe HTC is making itself loosing its fan base in India. I think this time it will be game over for HTC. Already sales are down and not even a single outlet is selling their products. Next time onwards even online sellers might even refuse to sell their devices.

 • demeged bettrey

 • No Oreo update for Russia..... Shame on you Mr.htc

 • Is this normal for the htc u11? I have no password setting for mobile network sharing

 • I am also with you

 • It's 14 Jan today and no Oreo update in India even now. No response from HTC on Twitter too. Wake up HTC. Not the right time to sleep.

 • got de 8.0 but no decembre security update looks good and works much better i could see a battery life improvement and all the experience is much smoother the store crashed twice but recovered quick enough i am very satisfied with htc

 • Yes and it works well.

 • Anyone got the December security update?

 • No Oreo update yet for Indian unit yet. Shame on @HTC_IN

 • Uninstall the plastore update...Dn no prbs...

 • KKHOLY read my post to Hardcor, dated the 6th January 2018 & 7th January 2018

 • I received the Oreo update yesterday - facing 2 issues: 1- Google play store - always closing (HTC support couldn't solve and advised to format) 2- Vibrate when call answered stopped - unless i disable the power saver option (HTC support confirmed that it should be working fine but in vain)

 • Mainly optimization, some new edge functionality and keeping my finger crossed for the camera processing improvements like in u11+

 • I got it in middle East right after they announced on Twitter. I wonder what's new in Oreo

 • No updates in India as of now :(

 • Oreo update global roll out started, better late than never ;P Good going HTC. Hope its a stable one. By the way anyone getting Oreo update in India ?

 • Oreo update for Mauritius, vibration not working when power saver is on

 • Finally, oreo landed in jordan, thx htc

 • Oreo updated arrived in Middle East starting today

 • Finally I got t !!!!!!! Yes today I received Android 8 oreo update n kuwait.... Already i done....So far so good.... future reviews will post ASAP..

 • On average 2.2GB of RAM is used.but note I own the HTC U ULTRA not the HTC u11. So as RAM not ROM usage goes. my phone is under used And I have more than I need right now. BTW. I do have smart boost turned on, its part of the "boost+" HTC in house optimization app that is part of the stock ROMs.

 • how much ram your htc use? I ve noticed that htc phones use ram more than sony,lg,etc,i mean its not an issue(and im not talking about memory leak problem),so how about your htc ram usage?

 • If the system got screwed up because of old data in your Cache partition. It will get progressively worse with every OTA update you do without wiping the cache partition first. The cache partition hold drivers and files that are system critical for fast boot ups and quick app start ups. Think of it as Virtual memory on a PC, A.K.A. the page file. When you do a factory reset or update your ROM the cache is not reset or wiped clean. That means it is still holding old driver data and app data that some times gets restored to your new ROMs that don't need that old information. Or worse, the old cache file over weights a new and improved file/driver that came with the OTA update. When that happens it makes strange things happen that are visible in your UI. that are mistaken by the average person as a phone hardware or OS defect. But hardware can be tested from App draw>help>hardware misbehaving>hardware diagnostics If everything pass in there You don't have a hardware problem. If the problem is in 1 app, uninstall the app and reinstall it or try a different app to do that same task and see if you have the same problem. (this is to determine if it is a bug in the app that needs to be reported to the app maker.) if the problems is in multiple apps it's your ROMs and you have to wipe your cache partition and factory reset. It's not hard to do and your phone will run faster and smoother with cache partition that was cleaned and repopulated with only up-to date files/drivers. Trust me, after 18 year of using Smart phones and flashing custom ROMs in the early days of Android & windows mobile (not to be mistaken with Windows Phone) I have seen alot of problems caused by a cache partition with old or corrupted drivers, including audio and camera photo quality problems. And as I said before factory reset alone will not clear the cache partition as it is separate from the partition the OS is installed on. What I normally do just before I install an OTA update after it is downloaded is power off my phone wipe the cache partition then reboot and install the update with a clean cache partition. That way I avoid having to do it after with a factory reset to fix update problems.

 • Hey HTC! What about theother regions..many countries and its people...no apology..f**k them!!!

 • Will wait for oreo to see if the sometimes lagging...cuts.. problem will disappear.. Do you think it might go worse or that's it!? About youtube..the problem might not be from app because I usually watch it online through google not app, same problem when watching from any website as streaming..when I rotate my U11 page refresh!!

 • If your slow down started after a OTA update. It's because of a conflict caused by old data in you cache partition being restored and screwing up how the system is running. Power off your phone, Boot into recovery mode Wipe your cache partition Factory reset. Reboot the phone. If you don't know how to get into recovery mode, ask for help. If you only want to deal with the YouTube problem for now instead. Go to settings>apps>youtube> uninstall updates. Then go to the play store and install the last update only. FYI When ever you update an app in the play store, the old app is not removed or uninstalled. New files are just added and same name files are overweighten. Files that are not needed remain just taking up space and in some cases causing problems.

 • never issued any problem with htc so far and the 11 is great and underestimated thanx to agressive comercials online really sorry about that..

 • I have been using my U11 six months now and I have never had a single problem with it and it never slows down whatsoever, sounds like your phone is faulty to be fair.

 • Not at all. I have never faced any issue like that and even device never lagged. But sometime my finger print sensor asks for pin instead of opening as if mobile was reset.

 • Absolutely! HTC acting stupidly and that will effect its sales. Or update software for all countries or don't for any! Can someone explain if there is technical disability for that! It looks as if there is discrimination or at least higher priority by HTC for countries over others! My HTC U11 started acting weirdly like while watching youtube it turned to htc logo as if restarting but didn't, and came back to main screen. ALSO, many times showing lagging.. That is all related to software I think! A question to you guys: is it normal while watching youtube in vertical screen then when you turn it to horizontal(rotate) the youtube video(page) refresh again as if watching from start?!

 • I was just wondering whether HTC is killing their mobile division by themselves????? They are not keen on marketing their product properly. They are not sticking to their software deadline even for their latest flagships. Too bad HTC no wonder whey their is a decline in your YOY sales.

 • I asked HTCMEA they said ask ur career. Wtf my phone is unlocked!

 • OREO 8.0 landed in the Philippines! Thanks HTC!!

 • YES! It is.

 • No, U11 doesn't support wireless charging.

 • hi. if i have wireless charger. does it work on the htc u11 ?? thk u

 • Still the oreo update not received to the middle east versions :-(

 • Happy New Year to you as well :)

 • yes it works well.

 • Happy New year to all fellow u11 owners out there :) I hope you all have a great one.

 • htc was VERY excited to update htc u11, but still....... NO UPDATES.

 • I’m on the same boat. Still no Oreo update on my Htc u11. I love my phone but if Htc falis to keep their promisse to deliver Oreo before new year, it will be my Last Htc device.

 • Where can I get a tempered glass which fits perfectly.

 • Please can anyone tell me htc u11 acoustic audio feature really works for example zooming the video with audio

 • Great device, however Oreo hasn't arrived for my device yet.

 • My phone was wet I dried it but forgot about the USB port so I wanted to charge it and there was no warning that it's wet. So after a while I smelled sth burning and sth popped on screen saying unplug it. Sucks. Samsung had a checker for port being wet. So now sometimes quick charge doesn't work properly I have it keep plugging cable sometimes to get it working. Plastic inside is slightly burned.

 • never had any kind of issues... i ve been using htc since the htc 10... only regret is that i belived peoples who underrated htc because of the excesive samsung advertisers

 • Absolutely great device, Great Camera, Great performance, great battery life with ample Ram and memory but with only one issue....... HTC not keeping there promise of providing proper software update and on time security patch updates for their Flagship devices.

 • no lag no problems have been using htc 11 for 4 months now its exceptional

 • I'm considering buying the phone , has any faced a problem with the squeeze function, if lagging or unresponsive ?

 • No update in the Netherlands

 • in romania no oreo

 • No updates in Russia!

 • According to a tweet by HTC India, Oreo is expected to be released in Jan 2018 for India consumers.

 • Nokia 8 got the oreo and sony xzp got it, htc....!!!

 • got the update in canada some weeks ago

 • No update in Europe too (Slovenia).

 • Yes brother... you're right this is stupid thing that how they're releasing Oreo update for U11.

 • Middle East ain't gotten it yet either

 • Is HTC stupid or insane!! How it released Oreo for HTC U11 in many countries versions from a month ago except India version!! We'll soon enter 2018 and yet!!!

 • Ya bro gap because for swueezing

 • Seems like 4 gig ram devices are getting update first. I got nothing yet on my 6 gig division

 • Unfortunately...

 • My phone hasn't got the oreo update yet but I was hoping the update would provide a always on display for the U11.

 • Oreo on the U11 is super cool. What's left now is; - Scrrenshot drawing - Always on display and project treble

 • why htc can't make durable smartphone? what is issue of htc u11+ display? it has 3930mAh battery bt it hsnt high numbers of battery endurance. only 67h. dxomark wan't review camera of u11+.i think squeeze is NOT important thing. boooo cher wang.

 • so weird most SEA country still did not get Oreo update..maybe your got Taiwanese version u11..

 • On HTC web site U11 has bluetooth 5.0

 • I'm from Manila Philippines Makati to be exact and mine had already been updated to 8.0 Oreo for almost 3 weeks and it was nice awesome and beautiful . I just notified that Oreo update was available from notification tray I just click it and followed the guide. Now I'm currently enjoying the update.

 • a gap between the frame and the glass is not normal. and is not good for the water resistance. having a gap means you have zero water resistance.

 • Hey, I bought U11 from Flipkart on a sale and I'm facing these problems. Do you have these issues? I will get a replacement if they are specific to my device. 1. Display has a reddish tint (Color temp settings only minimizes it) 2. Phone heats up a lot while playing games 3. I can a see a gap between the frame and the glass on one side.

 • Love it. lol

 • Even here in Dubai, still no Oreo update as well. Still waiting.

 • Even HTC has no idea to when they are ready to roll-out Oreo same problem in India

 • Best option is to keep on tapping the software update, but keep on doing so every few seconds so you don't miss any possible second!

 • Hi. Im from philippines. My u11 still has no update of oreo. I keep on tapping the software update but still has no update. Do you have any idea if it is available in the philippines? Thanks

 • It's simple to know for sure what version you got. Google Search your software number. It can be found in settings>about>software information>

 • i got one for the Portuguese region...dont know if its the same of the uk region. what i know is that when i first bought from their store. an assistance called me that the device i requested was only for Ireland market. i had to cancel my request and made another one appointed by the assistance. i had free shipping also in the new order, in the first i had to pay them.

 • It has nothing to do with where you are now. If you got one for the UK region. You have to wait till that region gets the OTA update for you to get it as well, no matter where in the world you happen to be.

 • still no oreo here in Portugal (bought from official online store from england)

 • Happy to upgrade to Oreo. So far so good mine is oooohh soooo blazing fast. #philippines

 • Thanks Anthony.

 • Sorry, as far as I know. There is no one site for rom versions for all phones. and as you get older you will realize most things worth having/knowing is not going to be easy to find. it would be like 6 x Y= 3 But HTC does host the most up to date ROM for each Region on that region website for download. But again you going to need the help of google search to find the link. The easier thing to do if you are running the stock ROM and not rooted is to check “Update over Wi-Fi only” & check “Auto download system updates automatically” And now you know the Region of your phone you can just look out in tech news for when that region is updating.

 • Not negative! The idea is that if you have a firmware site that reveals countries of software numbers then much better than a random google search that already had done and also reached to that site link you posted but that's not easy to find, this is why I prefer direct links, clear things like 1+1=2, not 1+2-1=2 ! Understood?! Is there any official site that announce software releases or must always google...or check for updates on my phone..

 • There is CL within build number..

 • why are you always so negative? your ROM number is for the India SEA version. there is nothing random about the numbers I asked for. not because you don't know what they mean, means they are random. and I told you to do a google search, not a Wikipedia search as the google search would check multiple sources. do you always limit yourself with everything you do? I gave the advice as I was talking from personal experience, you may not know this but there was a time you had to look and manually download your ROMs, connect to a PC and use sync software to update your phone. there was not always an option for OTA updates. and the numbering system has not changed from back in those days. so when the HTC U11 phones in India start getting oreo OTA, you should get it too.

 • Yes software built you mentioned is of Indian Version. I have the same one. But Just Check whether "CW is - India_Hungama/****" that will be under Build number

 • Or India version.

 • Googling a random number will not give you any sure info! Wikipedia will not popout in front of you to reveal bio..! Anyways, software number: 1.27.400.21 Maybe Hongkong version.

 • you don't have to go to any special site. just the google search page. and put in your #. 1.28.617.30 is the old HTC U11 # that is being updated to 2.31.617.2 which has Oreo. if your post your current software number I would look it up for you if you don't know how to do a google search. your software # is not unique to your phone like your S/N so you don't have to be afraid to post it. but it does have the "intended market for sale" a.k.a (to be sold in reagion) encoded in it.

 • Software number shows nothing except numbers that indicate nothing. Google it where..what site.. It says must have 1.28.617.30 after October 2017 Android Security Updates Already have October security... but still number is less than 1.28....actually 1.27... No new updates. Phone imported to Europe but isn't it about origin country of phone..made in or coming from..

 • It can also be made in China. How to know import country origin. Couldn't figure anything from numbers..letters except that surely made in taiwan from also S/N:FA..symbols to Taiwan

 • That is not how you know what Region phone you have. Your software number a.k.a. RUU version, is how you can tell Just google your software number and the results should indicate what region your phone was intended for. Settings>about>software information

 • All the HTC devices are made in Taiwan bro, but the updates depends on the Country the devices were manufactured for. Mine is Indian version and no Update yet :( But if you have a Taiwan device or a US device you might have gotten the update by now. If your device is imported then check the origin of the import that will decide the update of your device. But we might except the global Oreo roll out before the end of this month.

 • Still no Oreo update!! Despite my HTC U11 box says Made in Taiwan! How updates dates work, according to your device version or where you are located?! How to discover my phone country version?!

 • Yes, the camera is much better and the battery would last forever.

 • That's great. How's the camera's image quality in auto HDR Boost mode afterwards? Specifically in low-light conditions, is it better now? TIA :-)

 • I got the Oreo update, this is smooth and I am loving it.

 • Same filling is mine I am in India

 • It's getting annoying, no update in European version :( WHENNNNNNNN????

 • It's built into the home key in the bottom bezel.

 • Where is tehe fingerpint sensor, is it front side or back side ?

 • My U11 is Asian

 • Where are you from

 • Rocking Oreo

 • Back in August, one Android Central editor picked U11 the most solid phone of 2017. Check his article out. "If you skipped ahead & just want a tl;dr, here it is: dismiss the HTC U11 at your peril this year. There are plenty of reasons to recommend the Galaxy S8, LG G6, OP 5 & myriad other Android devices launched in 2017, but for my money, the most solid, most reliable, most stable, & most enjoyable to use is the HTC U11."

 • Not yet..😞

 • Anybody receive Oreo update ?

 • 1. when you want to share a photo from facebook to any other app including messenger follow the steps below. tap and open the photo>tap the 3 dots in the top right corner>tap share external>pick app or person. 2. if you want to send the photo directly to facebook messenger, follow the steps below. do not open the picture> just tap share from the preview window you will see the 3 options (share post now/write post/send as message) 3. to send video from facebook to facebook messenger do the following. do not open the video, from the video preview window tap share, you will get the same 3 options as stated above in (2) go try it now and report back.

 • Hi HTC center, Why HTC U11 can not share photo or video from Facebook to Facebook messenger? the other phone can, but only HTC U11. I'm HTC's fan, but i'm not satisfy with it on this poit. The other phone has 3 function 1. Share photo now. 2. Write post. 3 Send as Message. Unfortunately HTC U11 has only 2 function. Pls build up your update now.

 • in the past, I have installed dual audio Bluetooth drivers on my HTC HD2 and that was Bluetooth 2.1 OS windows mobile (long before there was even a version 5). got the drivers on XDA Forum. don't see why there wouldn't be drivers to do the same on Android made by a developer or ported from the S8. You just have to look for it. I'm no longer interested in dual audio so, so I never went hunting for it again.

 • So HTC giving OREO update to U11. One last bit of confusion to clear up is dual audio support. Android authotity says: "The simultaneous dual audio feature is a proprietary feature of Qualcomm and is not part of the Bluetooth 5 standard." I've had many arguments with some Samsung users on your previous article about this a month or so ago. They were somehow using that feature as proof the gs8 already supported bluetooth 5 out of the box" All this time, what I want from OREO Update is BT 5.0 is dual audio support! And judging by Android Authority article, basically there's DENIAL of this. So, HTC U11 won't have DUAL AUDIO SUPPORT like S8?

 • My device is a Taiwanese version but I still haven't gotten the update

 • Good job HTC is rolling out the oreo update.

 • Kudos for HTC for delivering Oreo update as promised on time. @HTC: Dear HTC if you are following our threads on GSMarena, we request you to please try to concentrate on releasing us the monthly security patches which are of utmost importance for every individual for all security related issues. Thanks in advance.

 • Who's getting the Oreo update?

 • An update for previous post about buying HTC U11- 2 Spigen liquid crystal case and 1 Rugged Armor. Got a metal kickstand(durable) gift from Spigen. Must say Spigen liquid crystal case is incredible, was surprised that comes with same hardness thickness high quality as the Rugged armor(gonna use after 1 year+ so my phone looks as if new again in design)! Many of my friends say well for that price of each we can get 5+ chinese cases for our phones from alibaba, amazon, ebay...but tried that with screen protector after buying 3 chinese ones since Spigen have the nano liquid for scratches not screen drops/break/crack. Now the chinese screen protector for my HTC U11 moved from its place!! during inserting Spigen case that exactly fits my HTC U11 and looks very nice! This is why better invest some more money in ORIGINAL and HIGH QUALITY(when found) than buying cheap! If this first screen protector keeps on moving, will try the other 2(like it) had bought, until a top brand makes a screen protector against cracks for HTC U11.

 • This is a brilliant phone. The camera is great, audio is loud and crisp! and so is that display crisp. The battery is not stellar, but will get through you for a day. The UI is almost stock too, which is a great add. I dont find any lag, which is excellent.

 • Galaxy s8 and s7 is no different in screen display, s6 edge plus screen brightness is way better than the two models. Also Vivid display is missing from the s8 which reason for me to sell my s8. The front camera of s8 was so rediculous. Now I am using the incredible HTC u11 which great in all aspects its camera (front 16mp and 12mp back) and its durability. The 4g LTE is way faster than the s8. I love HTC U11.

 • U11 for me, mainly because of the audio prowess. But you may want to consider S8's Edge design, whether you absolutely must have that one or you can not stand its flaws (no side bezels results in less durability, and prone to accidental touches)

 • HTC U11 for sure. Or perhaps wait for the U11+ coming soon.

 • If the camera is most important, you can't go wrong with any of the two. If UI and other hardware spec like audio quality not that important to you, buy which ever one is cheaper.

 • Which one to choose Samsung S8 or Htc U11 ? At the moment Iam using Samsung s7 . For me its most important to have good camera and video quality phone. So help my decide... 2 sim card phone is quite good choice.

 • You and others who think and write alike must go out of their silly mentality like saying "yea other chargers can charge my phone" well surely even worst chinese charger will do the job but for how long and who on earth told you that comes with no side effects but on long term will appear if you keep using different chargers(had been used by YOU for long period so how efficient is it still!), which is also a childish way!! How difficult to carry a charger in your jeans or jacket pockets when really needed. DO NOT SPEAK IN NAME OF HARCOR. Never said reason of using and buying original was manufacturer advice but also LOGIC, stick to each device original parts, only exception is if can't find or can't afford(if can buy expensive phone, will not bankrupt for charger!). For God sake, HTC U11 is a new phone, can last without charge for 6 hours on heavy usage so why must you need more than one charger, even if you can't afford buying another original, and lazy reckless to carry box original when necessary, using similar fast charger(good condition) is ok if used ''SOMETIMES''.

 • Mr Gray Hardcore is a very narrow minded individual and the more he/she post on the topic of charging the more You see it. HTC sells car chargers & battery banks as approved charging devices for this phone that are not even listed in the user manual. But he/she post truly believing "ONLY" what's in the book will do no damage. (so hardcor will never buy them because he/she READ THE BOOK) The phone also charges when you connect to a PC for syncing or tethering. And PCs are not made by HTC or even support Qualcomm quick charging ( but don't do any damage to the phone.) But according to his/her logic, if you want your phone to last you shouldn't connect it to a USB port on a PC. And for the " businessmen" that need that functionality (because no other type of person deserves convenience) they will buy a computer from HTC. SMH. I just had to give up after that statement from Hardcor.

 • That information is useful but you don't have to stick with the original htc charging brick that came with the phone and I have the following charging bricks from the following phones and they all charge my U11 ok without damaging it. Charging bricks...... Xperia T LG g4 LG g5 HTC one m7 HTC 10 Obviously the one that came with my U11. They all work fine without any issues so the whole sticking to the original charging brick thing is just not fully correct.

 • If some just know how to read the Safety & Regulatory guide of their phones, they'll save themselves conflict and headache! For HTC U11 says: This product should be operated ONLY with the following designated power supply unit/s: AC adapter: HTC Model TC P5000-US, TC P5000-EU, TC P5000-UK(this is mine), TC P5000-AU, TC P5000-IN, TC P5000-CN As you see guys, all are for this phone exclusively and the ORIGINAL. Still some want to be philosophers and technicians themselves offering other options!!!

 • I don't have LTE service in my area, but maybe I can still help. it's a 2 part setup process. 1st... go to settings>Mobile data>Network Mode> set it to GSM/WCDMA/LTEauto 2nd... go to phone a.k.a dialer>menu>settings>calling accounts>internet calling (SIP) accounts> + > and put in your settings for your provider. hope that helps

 • Hi, All User's pls again I am requesting anyone can guide me to enable voLTE in my u11 as I got lost and would really appreciate the help.

 • I'm in the field of Architecture. Putting that aside, that statement about who is allowed to enjoy convenience and how they will do it, is a very classiest point of view. If you are going there, I'm ending our conversation. You have a good day Mr. Hardcor

 • Convenient applies when you're a business man using your phone for calls..messages..etc all day and have many companies, offices, houses then will need many chargers for each location AND in that case he'll buy for his phone/s the ORIGINAL.

 • I know, you know what " convenience" mean. And why some people like it. If you don't that's OK too.

 • Briefly, why must you have charger for each location, simply carry it with you when really needed-one charge last all day! You can use your others with same specs but rarely ok...not always for long run.

 • its a mobile phone. keeping that in mind some people need more than 1 charge because they don't want to walk around with the only charger and cord that came in the box. so for convenience, they have charges that normally stay at frequent charging locations. eg. living room, bedroom, work & car. Are you trying to tell me every time I buy a new phone I must run out and buy 3 new chargers and cord because the manufacturer said to use there branded charger? that's nuts. having the chargers you already own follow the same standard & spec as the charger of the new phone is enuff. I'm sure you don't full up your car only at the dealer gas pump. you go to any fill station that has the correct specification fuel for your car.

 • I don't change parts for my new cars except in company because it's original and doesn't cost much than at normal mechanical shop. Tyres last 3 years at least and don't worry, I know where to find cheapest prices for same high quality products;) For phone, simply because I believe each device model have specific charger for it, so why change when still new, maybe after 3 years or so if spoiled or lost might buy similar classifications if didn't find original.

 • Something i've noticed with the U11, mails and other apps don't sync when power saver is off. Is there a way around?

 • Maybe 256gb with SD card and 2tb with ext drive via otg cable?

 • I like your car analogy so I will use it too. :) No car manufacturers makes all the parts used it there cars. They get some parts from 3rd party vendors. These vendors also sell the same part to other car manufacturers. Some car manufacturers may request the part manufacturer brand the batch they sell to them and they do but the part spec didn't change. So as a smart consumer it's more important to know the spec of a part and not the branding on the part. I would hope you don't go to buy spark plugs or tyres from the dealer of your car? It's inconvenient and costly. Quick charge 3 is not a HTC Technology. It's made by Qualcomm, to work with the Qualcomm chip sets and it follows a standard/ specification certified by Qualcomm. The very same Qualcomm Snapdragon chip set That is in the HTC phones. The very same chip set that are in many other manufacturers phones. So tell me why you think it's not advised to use a Qualcomm certified quick charge 3 charger, that don't have the HTC branding, on a HTC phone, if it's more convenient to get, if you need extra or a replacement?

 • Please what's the latest software version?

 • About replying to that poster, you don't need to reply to stupid comments that make no logic, many are trolls, just ignore. A technician once told me that even if you use a different usb cable with original charger it might effect phone functioning. Just consider it like a car, you can surely buy chinese cheaper parts even if high level and car can work but for how long!! And by not using the original part you're ruining the smooth functioning of the system. It will not appear when new phone still but as time pass on long run. Even supposely the quick charge 3.0 can work on all devices despite I think each device has unique charger for..but why use another or older or slower as some say better battery charge slowly for longer life...well if technicians believe that they'll suggest slower chargers to be added in box and quick chargers don't need to be made just for shortening charging time, can still make your battery last same long life as slow chargers if not better, technicians of big companies are not paid high salaries for nothing, they are brilliant in their jobs.

 • @ Hardcor FYI "Quick charge" is a brand of Qualcomm not HTC. So once a charger is quick charge certified by Qualcomm there is absolutely no reason it would not be safe to use on a quick charge phone. The HTC branding on the charger means nothing as quick charge is not htc's technology. Have a read and be enlightened

 • I have no problem sticking with original equipment. I was just making a point for "disappointedone" As he/she said HTC is money grabbing by having quick charge 3. Which makes absolutely no sense when you are getting the quick charger in the box. And because USB follows a standard I was also pointing out that any USB A charger from a reputable company would work to charge the phone so you don't need to use quick charge all the time if you want to buy extra chargers or you already have from other high end devices. So taking that into consideration how it that HTC can be seen as money grabbing for having quick charge 3?

 • As a rule, it is bad to charge phone with a charger other than box original, even must always use same usb cable of original charger. Using different charger might effect hardware, software or both. When phone new, why not stick to its original equipment !

 • What type of camera use HTC u 1111

 • hold up... how is getting a fast charger in the box money grabbing? and who told you it would not charge at all with any of your standard USB A chargers (including the one that came with your M8) using the included USB A to C cable?

 • Fair enough my friend on your opinion but we all have our own way of doing things and I know mines not necessarily correct but I just basically said my thoughts. As for the htc u11 though I would recommend it because its basically a excellent smartphone and it's one of the best out right now with brilliant battery life indeed but there will be some who think it's rubbish but each to there own in it.

 • There is no such "requirement". You are one of these people that don't have the phone, but comment, still. In the package is an adapter which allows one to use any headphones they want. Furthermore, good quality Bluetooth headphones are readily available with Apt-X for excellent pricing now. Third, the HTC USonics are great headphones, shockingly. It sucks to have to choose between charging and listening to music corded, but I mostly use my NuForce Bluetooth headphones anyhow.

 • I take it that you didn't have a tempered glass on your screen as most people say this phone needs?

 • I loved the M8. I told everyone I knew it was the beat peice of technology I ever owned. The htc U11 is onnpar of not better in performance than the M8, but the money grabbing the company is doing with the type C plug in with a requirement for expensive, special and fast chargers are a major turn off. Plus the glass screen has already cracked on me in a major way after owning it for less than 2 months. There's no chance Im paying whatever they are asking for to replace the screen, so i'll be looking at these beautiful spider webs in front of my screen until I get a new phone.

 • You sound completely silly and all of your assumptions are little more than old wives' tales, like running your engine low on motor oil. There's science here, it's available to everyone now, and here you are, perpetuating myths and bizarre OCD-ish ones, at that.

 • thank u

 • Htc u11 has better Camera and speakers than s8 plus. Way much snappier as well. But if u like 18:9 ratio, get htc u11 plus. Htc u11 plus also has big battery. Byt wait for uts review first.

 • htc 11 is the most underrated smart beautiful and usseful hamdset ever the opperating sistem works perfect the battery is fantastic and the looks .... gorgeous i guess that people who are not in line and they want to be different and not trust the commercials buy htc or sony and the others buy samsung or apple

 • I am sure U11 looks better than your face. If you want to troll, go somewhere else!

 • Especially HTC U11 Solar Red and Amazing Silver.

 • Don't bother. Some people not worth replying to, they are clear trolls.

 • please reply this s8 plus or htc u 11 6 ram and why ?

 • Not at all, the HTC U11 feels and looks like a very expensive ve phone which it also is. The design and especially the back is like no other phone. You can instantly recognize the U11 out of a thousand because of it’s unique design.

 • Is sad when you have to agree with your self as the only form of validation. When you going to answer your self change device/network. Or we will all see your ID is the same. How pathetic. SMH Anonymous aka UD{0

 • I love my U11 and so does my wife. Very stable phones. Don't heat up like her HTC Bolt.

 • Nobody.

 • 10 pro is not fair with warranty.

 • me. U11 is very ugly.

 • who agrees w/ me that new htc phone looks like under $100 phones?

 • Thanks Anthony & Grey for your opinions. Read on the net from professionals that best is charging btw 40-60%, leave it once per month to 0%. There's a technical explanation for it, can search net for it like doing it like that to keep the battery in moderate working cycle not low or high when charged. There's also that view of not letting it always reach 100% but some 90-95%.

 • I have had the HTC one m7,m8,m9,HTC 10 and now the U11 and I admit the m8 was a truly excellent smartphone and it will always have a special place in my heart. But the HTC u11 is one of the best smartphones they have made and I am very much looking forward to the HTC u11 plus to be fair.

 • We all have our own rules when charging our phone but for me I do the following. 1,I put my phone on charge at 20% and I unplug it at 90% and I never let it go till it turns off at 0% 2,I never use fast charge with my U11 I use the charging brick from my G4 which isn't a fast charging plug because I think fast charging will ruin the battery faster long term. 3,At night I have my U11 on a timing plug which turns off the power after 2 hours so when I wake my U11 is usually at 98% 4,If I need to top my phone up during the day I use a charging brick which doesn't support fast charge also but my U11 usually lasts a full day with heavy use. That's what I personally do myself but each to there own I say but do whatever feels best to you.

 • Last good HTC M8, after nothing, HTC need close.

 • basically, to maximize the lifespan of your battery if you are the kind of person that keeps a phone for years (and this applies to any modern cell phone, not just HTC) you should try to practice the following. 1. try not to charge frequently. This means keep your phone on battery power as much as you can and avoid doing shot charges when you can. The less amount of times you connect/disconnect to the charger the better. 2. quick charge 3.0 works from 0-80% so the closer you are to 0% and change to 80% / 90% that will be the best way to do it. 3. leave charging to 100% for when you know, you will be away from an outlet (e.g. outdoors) for a long time and you know, you will need that extra juice. leaving your phone charging overnight is not doing your battery any favors. one's I have enuff power for my phone to make it overnight sitting idle, I plug it in as soon as I get up and by the time I'm ready to leave the house, I'm normally in the 90s

 • Briefly, at what % best to charge. And you meant must not let it reach 100%.

 • why do to plug your phone in the charge at 70% quick charge don't even work for the last 20% so technically, when you plug in at 70% you only getting 10% use of quick charge 3. most tech reviewers say not charging to 100% cuts down on wear & tear on the battery. Also, a battery only has so many charge cycles before it stops holding a charge. so stop charging your phone when you don't need to. you are waisting charge cycles.

 • Hi, All User's pls anyone can guide me to enable voLTE in my u11 as I got lost and would really appreciate the help.

 • Guys, are you always leaving battery to shrink to red or charging before? I'm mainly charging my HTC U11 btw 50-70% and once per month from 0% for longer lasting battery life .

 • All HTC apps like File Explorer, Galary, Music etc,... are available in the app store. Just search for "HTC APPS". This is a great move by HTC which will allow us to get better updates quickly, and will avoid duplicate apps which will help the mobile to run smoothly. Anyways you have google Photos app to view all your multimedia contents. just switch to album tab at the bottom and you can view all your photos and videos.

 • I love ur last point, well said ... "Only one thing why it is criticized because it is not made by samsung or apple".

 • Pros . Battery 6 to 8 hours . Camera. Sound. Stable Cons. No proper gallery. Can buy.

 • it beats iphone 7 plus! Wauu!(i just found it on web). And dont worry about htc screen,it has nothing to do with screens on htc m7,m8,m9-since htc 10 its totaly new super lcd,the fifth generation-its awesome! If someone show u htc 10 or u11,but hides the htc logo-u would think this is samsung's super amoled screen-really awesome;plus it doesnt have amoled burn effects,so u can enjoy in higher brightnes as much as u like.

 • Say honestly u11 is overall better than s8 .In Both camera and audio department it performs better than s8+. As samsung has amoled screen, according Gsmarena own review Htc u11 photo has more punchy color rendering and saturation than s8+. So U will never miss amoled screen as far it concerns photography. Finally more ram , better Anututu readings. So overall better. Only one thing why it is criticized because it is not made by samsung or apple.

 • Was the price really worth your headache!

 • I have been using my U11 for the past 5 months or so now and I can't recommend it enough and it has excellent battery life and it never slows down whatsoever and the screen is absolutely beautiful also with excellent viewing angles even in direct sunlight. If I thought it was rubbish I would say hey don't buy this rubbish phone but it's not rubbish at all to be fair,it's a bloody good phone but I do wish it had a always on display but otherwise it is very good indeed. I will say the screen you will never get bored of looking at it,it's absolutely beautiful ok,gorgeous.

 • I gave a long explanation but it's being held for review. so here is the short answer that should post right away. Android doesn't support NTFS. you have to use drives formatted in FAT32

 • This is a problem I know far too well as I have been using external storage on my phones for years. good news is.... there is nothing wrong with your phone. the bad news is.... Android doesn't support NTFS file partitions and that is how your 1TB drive is formatted. you external drives you want to use with your phone have to be formatted in FAT32. and I don't think you will want to format your 1TB drive in the old FAT32 standard because there are disadvantages to doing that if you plan to still use it with a PC. solution... buy a smaller flash drive that is natively formatted in fat32 if you don't want to reformat your 1TB drive.

 • Do you have a 1TB micro SD card? As per my knowledge we can get only 256GB Micro Sd card in the market as of now. Do not confuse it with External hard disk which you might be trying to connect through OTG. I have not tried OTG and had never need to connect an external source even once. But if anyone had tried 1TB external hard drive please share their input.

 • design is not great point to choose what is the best one. that's trend! display quality, battery life, performance, endurance of phone, quality of cameras,Ui; big points

 • I have a USB 1TB but its not working in my U11. so what seems to be wrong.

 • I bought mine second hand and unlucky to have the headphone and the Usonic headphone connector (maybe the prev owner wanted to stole it from our deal). In Philippines even Lazada the online store dont have it. I cannot played my music and videos. Maybe HTC has the Philippines store to support its accessories. Right now what help me to use was using the blutooth headset but i just cant feel its full potential without having its original Usonic headset. Help me find it in Philippines.

 • Those bezels...phone is new but seems terribly dated. People are still buying HTC phones, really ? Hopefully HTC will change its design, as Sony plans to do soon.

 • Dude! You need to relax. RAM consumption is not dictated by how many apps you have installed. it's controlled the OS deciding how much to give to your running/active apps and background apps. closed apps use no ram. And if you are coming from an S7 I can tell you that HTC software is way better at managing what apps gets the RAM when, than Samsung is or will ever be. so don't let your heart be troubled, 1gb free RAM is a lot of unused ram wait for you to give it something to do. don't confuse RAM with storage, apps are not installed in RAM.

 • It has a dedicated file manager. You have the option to install it or not. HTC put there apps on the play store so you can get updates without having to push an update of the ROM. Just search HTC in the play store to get a list of HTC official apps you can pick & choose to install. Freedom of choice is nice. It has a gallery app pre installed. It's called photos (by google) You just have to tap on the albums tab and you will see all your folders of photos & videos that's on your phone. Ask a question if you just don't know or need help. Also if you have your boom sound set to theater mode change it to music mode. It has more base.

 • Well, thanks for suggestion but is late since already ordered Spigen 2 liquid crystal and 1 rugged armor cases.

 • As an owner of this device i keep wondering why it has many useless apps including some google useless apps, a flagship doesnt have a dedicated file manager and gallery app which is freakin common on phones now. Also boom sound is just awful. Its getting worse and worse. By worse i mean its not bad quality or quiet but bass is not that deep which is the reason u want stereo speakers. Boom sound is just ok. I can say its at par with S7 edge. But i do like 128 gigs of storage but not the ram.3 gigs of ram is in use. Wth dude i just bought this yesterday. Theres no big apps on it. Amazing silver looks amazing but; why the front is fully black? :( Overally good phone. Im satisfied. Especially the price u pay for such gear which is better than s8/8+ on some aspects.

 • Buy an Incipio pro case, they are 12 ft drop tested, protects my u11 quite well! Phone took a hard drop that cracked my screen protector which is a 9h hardness tempered glass protector and my phone looks brand new, just had to change the screen protector! Btw, the phone is amazing! Would recommend it to any one! If u have the money get the 6gb ram version!

 • I am an HTC's die-heart fan. I love Htc phones, their software "Sense" is the best ... and Can't wait for U11 plus already. That will be my phone otherwise Htc 12 will definitely be :)

 • What a stupid comment. Beauty is only in the eyes of the beholder. What may be beautiful may be ugly to me and vice versa. If we all thought the same it would be a very dull world.

 • That bezel is designed for protecting it from meteor strike

 • SAR: 0.45 head, 0.60 body, Hong kong version(written Made in Taiwan).

 • you have to buy a USB-C OTG adaptor. See link below.

 • Your service provider has to give you the success point information to manually enter and save, not HTC. Good service providers would OTA that data to the phone when they detect your sim is in a new phone. if your provider didn't do that you have to call them and ask for the settings. That is not HTC problem to help you with.

 • 0.574 for head and 0.402 for body. This is for an Indian Unit

 • Can anyone tell me what is SAR level of this phone, its written on box or in phone manual etc. Thanks

 • Micro USB - USB C converter will be needed with regular micro USB pendrives. This is not available in retail box, can be purchased from external sources.

 • Stop throwing accusations at HTC. Your network provider is the problem. You can't expect to get 4g everywhere, depends on your location and your network signal strength in that area also your network provider must help you with access points.

 • This convertor use for otg?and when buy u11 this convertor in the box or buy yhis convertor from other sources? Thanks 4 your answer

 • I'm returning the phone, HTC tried to help out but the Access Point names didn't pull up MintSim/Ultra.

 • I bought the 128GB/6GB version and cannot get it to work with MintSim data. I basically have a wifi only phone. Only for a few minutes did I actually see 4G pop up a few times, but usually, when I'm away from home, NO CONNECTION. I am really pissed about that.

 • With a USB C type jack, yes.

 • otg suported?

 • Theoretically U11 supports micro sd card of upto 2tb capacity. But max memory available as of now is 256gb micro sd . If we get 512gb card or more in near future, we might test it ;)

 • Thank you! :)

 • 2TB is theoretical thing. 256GB must be real thing in real world.

 • For the info of many people out there, HTC U11 Solar Red design and color especially was the dream of many iphone users to have on their iphone 7 plus(red back and white front color). The HTC U11 Solar Red combination btw black front and red back starting from the sides is fabulous and made their dream come through with HTC:)

 • Most of them are hippies and just love trolling and bashing HTC. They need bezeless phone to make themselves feel secure..

 • where the your studies abt how quantum dot structure can make supreme display in your high end smartphones??

 • yes Both iphones have huge bezels, one have a small screen size which hides the bezels, and another with big screen with huge bezles. That's what I was pointing at Iphone 8 series. Not perticularly as iphone 8.

 • You chose the wrong phones to use as examples. The ipone8 is ok but the iphone8 plus is just plain ugly and wasteful of space. Its dimensions are hideous.

 • A year ago nobody knew any different as all phones were very much the same. Now bezels seem out of date and also make the phone too large for a given screen size.

 • Peple all talk as if bezels are suddenly really bad to have, mocking every phone with bezels. A year ago bezels were fine.

 • I don't believe you have held or even seen a HTC U11 personally. Yes it have bessels but have you heard of or seen Iphone 8 series lately?

 • LOL, the talking about big bezels is stupid. Briefly, HTC U11 looks amazing front & back especially in Solar Red.

 • HTC is unable to shed thick ugly bezels from its phones...even from its flagship phones. So it cannot copete with flagship of big boys. It will be mediocre brand as long as its phones look mediocre. Having shiny backs do not make substantial difference. Still back dated .

 • Well its been almost a month now. And still htc u11 rocks..... I never thought that I will be in love with this simple beast.... !!!! Every single world holds good as per my previous review. But now the 2 cons i have thought of previously is just feeling like are not cons anymore. I am happy with the size of the mobile and not missing 3.5mm jack anymore. And even I am not frustrated of knowing the announcement of u11 plus also . I am just satisfied with my U11. I think I am saying this for the first time in 15 years of my mobile use ( however I liked my old S7 edge ). I still recommend this beast of a mobile to anyone who is looking for an upgrade, especially if you can get a 6gb and 128gb variant in Solar Red or Amazing Silver colours.

 • Does anybody know how capacity can read in external hard? On box said max 2TB But in this site said 256G! Please help me to know the reality Tnx

 • Oh my God, this phone also have not any physical antenna. Lol... Because those all are old technology, come on man this is 2017. If you are fall in love with 3.5 mm Jack, no problem you have USB C to 3.5 mm converter in the phone box. Whats the big deal?

 • For you and many others who're whinning for no 3.5mm jack... Never felt that small htc usb to connect phone to earphone effects the holding or smooth daily usage of my phone..anyways you're not using earphones all day!!

 • (I have the white color)

 • Could you advise what earphone you are using?

 • No 3.5mm jack?!!!

 • Anyone knows when Oreo is lending for u11

 • As far as the performance is concerned this is the best mobile in terms of fluidity and all round performance I have used till date. And I have used a lot of devices. Almost all flagship devices are made of glass on both side now a days. And to be honest with you whatever reviewers or company may claim, one bad drop will definitely crack the glass. Get a good case, a good screen protector and try not to through the mobile around, it will definitely last longer than usual ;) ;)

 • I ordered these from Amazon: -Spigen Rugged Armor HTC U11 Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for HTC U 11 (2017) - Black by Spigen -[2 Pack] HTC U11 Screen Protector, HD Clear Anti-Scratch Anti-Fingerprint Bubble Free Tempered Glass Screen Protector with Lifetime Replacement Warranty by BIUZKO -Spigen Liquid Crystal HTC U11 Case with Slim Protection and Premium Clarity for HTC U11 (2017) - Crystal Clear by Spigen *Wished that Spigen Rugged Armor was more cpmpatible in color with my HTC U11 Red Solar but mostly using it after 1 year when my phone in its original body(in spigen crystal case) get over seen.

 • Option 2 case & tempered glass But If you really really want to use that nano liquid too, you could always put it on the tempered glass. Lol Or the back of the phone. (but I don't think the nano liquid is needed)

 • So you think dude that the spigen combination, case and screen protector are best option since compatible OR spigen case and the other screen protector I posted its link before?

 • Dude. there is none that is crack proof. That's why you get 2 in the pack. When it cracks, you replace it with the next one in the pack. With a tempered glass and a case (like the 1 you picked in the link) your phone should survive 99% of falls & knocks with no problem. There just is no such thing as unbreakable glass when they are less than 1mm thin. I have already changed 1 tempered class and I don't even have my HTC U Ultra 1 year yet. But if I didn't have it on, the fall that cracked the tempered glass was definitely cracking my display, as it fell on rough concrete. I'm extremely rough on my devices and I don't change phones every year but I do go though 2 to 3 tempered glass in the time a phone is my daily driver. So $14 in tempered glass over 3-4 years is a good investment in my opinion. My phone before the U Ultra was the HTC ONE MAX BTW.

 • Anthony ive a question Do you have an idea when HTC will giving.update on Oreo this U11?

 • And with any screen protector I buy online will take it to a cellphone shop to attach it on my phone screen.

 • Anthony, the one you suggested have ugly edges and is no better than the amazon one & spigen one I posted, they all don't say against cracks. Even the spigen it says also gives same 9h protection as normal tempered glass. Do you know any that say against cracks? Which you use on your HTC U11 screen ?

 • if you are not a pro at putting on tempered glass screen protectors this is the one to go with as the black on the edge will hide the air gaps some people leave on the edges of the glass as they don't want to press too hard to get the gaps out. the one you picked in your post below is the way I would go as I don't like the black on the edges

 • Thanks for the long explanation. Most importantly now, do you know a good tempered glass to buy for HTC U11?

 • Hello! Those who've had this phone for a while now, have you experienced any lag so far? I'm looking for an upgrade that can last me for a good while. Also, how delicate is this thing? So much glass is a bit daunting for a not so coordinated person like me.

 • follow up to my post below. if you read the description of both the nano liquid & the tempered glass, they are both called screen protectors. but you need to ask your self "protection from what?" then when you read on, you will see they say scratches and fingerprints No where is it written that it protects against breakage. so the lifetime replacement warranty is not going to cover brokerage a.k.a cracks. but the tempered glass has a bit of an advantage over the nano liquid as it has a thickness to absorb some impact where the liquid absorbs nothing.

 • The short answer is NO. let me explain..... your phone digitizer glass is gorilla glass 5. it has a hardness of a level 6 that means anything with a level 6 or harder can scratch it. the metal for keys are softer than a level 6 but sand is a level 6. so guess what dirty keys can do or a dirty table or floor. so the nano liquid makes it that sand/grime don't stick to the glass and cause scratching when it moves around. the tempered glass protector stops scratching to your digitizer glass by covering it with a hardened thin layer of glass that is less than 1mm thick. neither the nano liquid or the less than 1mm thick tempered glass can stand up to a point load impact (which is what happens in a fall or lash on an uneven surface.) gorilla glass as a material is tough, unfortunately, what is being used on your screen is not 12mm thick as shop front glass. it is less than 1mm thick and adding a nano liquid to it does not change the glass to steel. so a point load on a hardened thin glass is going to break it. putting a tempered glass on the phone give the point load something other than your glass digitizer to hit. the tempered glass you put on phones are hard and will disperse the force from 1 point to over the entire front of the phone preventing damage to the digitizer glass below it. but just like the gorilla glass digitizer it is less than 1mm thin and can also break if the point load is high enough. you may think to your self "what is the point of putting on the tempered glass if it can still break?" and the short answer is... is easier and cheaper to replace a broken tempered glass than it is to replace a broken gorilla glass digitizer. when the nano liquid false in a fall or lash, it's the gorilla glass of your phone that is going to break.

 • Found this too that has best reviews for HTC U11 Screen protector: ----------------------------------------------- Isn't it similar to this in function: Aren't both for glass protection from cracking too? Going to surely by this case too: There's crazy cheap offer(compared to original price) for spigen screen protector if you buy them together.

 • that is not better than a tempered glass The liquid adds a little more oil and scratch resistance which is fine for normal use but what about when you drop your phone? Oil & scratch resistants don't stop the glass from cracking. And that is what you need most with this phone (crack resistance). It's not going to matter if it is skin oil free if the glass is cracked.

 • Guys, did anyone tried this? Seems professional and different better than normal screen protectors but how easy to apply it?

 • Nice to know useful views, and I'll help too in encouraging every HTC U11 user to buy high quality earphones if they can afford it because after trying my SENNHEISER earphone through the usb 3.5mm jack, discovered that HTC U11 real great sound quality is hidden using the HTC earphones, sound is much higher and super quality with my SENNHEISER earphones(also can use volume control here) comparing it to HTC one, you'll feel you're in another world of music:)

 • BTW. forget using USB cables when you want to send or receive files from your PC. Give Xender a try. Once your PC & phone on the same network. you are good to go.

 • Well now you know a next way that you can use and it doesn't require a PC OR USB cable.

 • Thanks for your opinion. Already copied it using usb to pc as said will try in past post..

 • No, wanted to use my own songs for notification. About earphone, I already have top quality SENNHEISER earphone but believe that didn't try it on my HTC U11 phone yet:)

 • The only place you can get the proprietor adapter is through HTC care. Or else buy a good wireless earphone which will cost you less than the adapter.

 • I am based in India..Unfortunately I have lost both my usonic earphone and Type C to 3.5 mm jack..From where can I get the adapter at least so that I can use my normal earphone..Kindly help and if anybody willing to sell the adapter, please let me know

 • Let me help you with your notifications sound selection problem 1. Install any file manager e.g. HTC file manager. 2. On the root of the phone storage create a new folder and call it Notifications 3. Copy any mp3 you want to use as a notification tone to that folder. It will automatically be added to your list. Note; you can also create the notifications folder on the root of the SD card if you so choose, but it's not recommend if you remove your card from time to time. Because your selected tone will reset to a system default ever time you do that.

 • Great phone! Great battery , great camera, beautiful screen.. Great job HTC!!

 • Best to buy online and and you might get some good screen guards in Amazon. You can add different notification tones. Check some in theme stores. Yes we don't have volume control buttons in the provided earphones. That we have to live with or else have to invest another 40Euros and get Soundmagic earphones. But i think you will get used to it.

 • Anyone knows about a good screen protector for HTC U11 and where to best buy it online, also for case many suggested Spigen but any site link for best value and quick delivery? Thanks guys

 • Many gus spoke about pros of HTC U11 and I mostly agree..as on unique design, good battery, super sound quality, smooth fast performance... I will only talk about not the cons but some missing things found like why the earphones do not have volume button? Notification sound can not be added out of default list(like any phone boring sounds honestly), will try adding songs through pc copying to its folder maybe works..

 • Yet didn't get into details because being very busy... slowly discovering my phone. What I can assure is HTC U11 Solar Red catches eyes...everyone looks at it astonished! even at night and dark light they notice it! Can you imagine what a Great phone looks like in the hands of a Great man:)

 • We might expect the Oreo update before this year end. Even though I want to have the update soon, I am happy with 7.1.1 performance.

 • Been using the HTC U11 for over 4 months now and I do agree with alot of your points and the best thing I love about this phone is the brilliant battery life because it's easy to get 6 hours plus screen on time and the screen of the phone is just gorgeous to look at and is easily visible in direct sunlight and I have mine set to 75% auto brightness also. The phone never slows down and is super quick and I just love the ability to customise everything so that the phone always feels fresh and it never gets old and boring. I have mine also tied to a Samsung gear S3 and it always works perfectly and I have found the Bluetooth range of the phone to be really good to compared to other phones I have had in the past. You cannot go wrong with this phone and of all the HTC phones I have had,m7,m8,m9,HTC 10,I think this is the best of them all. I highly recommend this phone :)

 • My opinion is the same as you. Great phone

 • I am currently using htc one m8, (since sep 2014)... m8 is a verry good phone with great sound quality,.. now im planing to buy an U11, is it good ? Which color should i buy ?

 • Hey guys my review of HTC U11 after 20 Days...... It will a lengthy review so please don't mind ;) First of all I was really worried about of getting used to a whole new software experience as I was using Samsung Galaxy series for almost 6 years (Also used lots of other devices in between for less than a month and gone back to Galaxy series). S7 edge being the last device from which I switched to HONOR 8 Pro for a month then to HTC U11. It took me almost a week to get used to HTC software echo system. But now I feel really at home. I thought I might miss awesome super amoled display of Samsung but honestly I am not. HTC's Super LCD 5 (Fancy name given by HTC for IPS LCD) Display is totally great. I used to activate the developer option and switch off all the animations within a week of use on all my other devices. But my U11 simply flies through everything I through at it. Here are things that I Like and I wish I would have had on HTC U11 PRO: 1. Superb Battery life. More than 6 hour of SOT every single day on mixed usage on wifi and mobile data. 2. Sound output is simply great. Both on Speaker and earphones. 3. Look wise its of a different class. Especially back glass. 4. I am super picky when it comes to camera, but I can just say that camera on U11 is simply amazing. Noise are there at low light shots but level of details are really great. 5. Display is also great and well enough outdoor visibility. 6. One of the Best performing android device. Silky smooth and lag free. 7. Ample Internal storage of 128gb and 6gb Ram. ( Market Dependent) 8. HTC theme store is great for customization. You can literally change every thing as per your requirement. 9. Almost Stock android experience with very little bloatware and very well optimized software. 10. Super fast and very accurate Fingerprint sensor. 11. WIFI, Network reception and call quality are excellent which is in fact the main part of a mobile. Cons: 1. Man I still hate carrying the additional usb to 3.5mm adapter. 2. Device is still bit wide for a 5.5 inch Screen. Not a big deal but still a little bit big. Hope this review is acceptable by few of you, but its just my opinion. You may have different view. Lastly I wonder why HTC had given a mic on back side bottom which really looks weird. If you use a case it looks like there is a hole in the case. LOL... They might have given it in a different location......

 • Great news man.... Hope you like the Sense UI and HTC software echo system too....

 • Hello GSM! Any heard about the timeframe.for Oreo for U11?

 • Just received my HTC U11 Solar Red 6gb 128gb, it looks really very nice. Partying tonight..lets see my friends and girls opinions or WOOOOW about it;)

 • Thanks But Couldn't find any options to uncheck 😢

 • there are 2 ways to turn off shutter sound 1. in camera mode, slide out the left menu > scroll down to settings and tap it> uncheck shutter sound. 2. repeatedly tap the volume down till it goes to vibrate.

 • How to off cameras shutter sound?

 • not really. its a good color too. its deep black really feels so great.

 • The included headphones are incredible.. Enjoy those!!!!!!

 • One month with this beast summarizes with the below: This phone is super fast and this is consistent whenever using any app or feature. The squeeze feature is dope, literally super amazing! Audio is outstanding Cameras has some really great potential for your moments capture. Easy one day with one charge Design is wonderful Highly recommend this full package phone!

 • Was thinking of buying this phone, after seeing no o the 3.5mm--> NO THANKS, same thing with pixel 2, moto z, next they are going to copy more from crApple, as in NJ lie widgets and can't place icons where u want! !!!

 • Very weird because...Found this on HTC official site: *64GB Solar Red and all 128GB devices are Dual Sim. Dual Sim smartphones can be used with only one SIM as well as two, with no affect on performance. All other 64GB HTC U11 devices come as Single Sim. Honestly, your color choice is sooooo bad, saw it and blue one too in live, black shows clearly a bulky phone while blue better, Amazing silver & Solar Red the best...look very nice on youtube.

 • how is htc u11 durability? Back and front? Does it survive minor drops? Also is the music quality through headphones better than htc 10

 • Mine is black.

 • It is clearly you do not have the HTC U11. This is the best phone I have ever used, the battery life is great and it never hangs. Please, get the phone first before you give a review.

 • Because only Solar red 4gb come with dual sim.

 • Very nice and good phone Best camera, clean pic Amazing speed Good battery, No heat, no hang, I suggest go ahead thanks

 • Nope. Mine is 4gb but in Dual sim.

 • htc made pixel 2 got 98 marks on dxomark.com i hope next gen. htc u12(or whatever) will get 104 in dxomark test.

 • It's high time the price is slashed to around RS 40k in India from the existing RS 51k.

 • HTC 10 remains the best phone I've ever had. Reluctantly upgraded as phone plan would make it cheaper per month and with 50% more data. This is a bust. Battery is terrible. Crashes often. No thanks.

 • Sure going to protect it completely despite solar red magic color change and shinning not same in case but... A top level quality phone hardware must not spoil before 3 years. Thanks for the advice Anthony.

 • The case in the box is a thin hard case and has no lip that will protect the screen. It will offer scratch protection for the back glass but no internal shock damage protection as it's too thin. It also scratches very easily. Think of it as a temporary case until you buy a proper TPU case. The phone has no pre-installed screen protector so you have to spend the few $ and buy the tempered glass. It's more cost and time effective to change a cracked tempered glass than lose your U11 to HTC RMA department for more than 2 mounts. The tempered glass protects the main area of the screen but a case with a lip is needed for the edge as the screen protector don't go to the edge of the front glass The lip on a case will not protect the center of the display if for example you walk into the corner of a table and it's in your pocket, it falls face down on a asphalt road, It falls in gravel Drops on a kids die-cast car or other small hard objects. You have to remember gorilla in the name doesn't stop it from braking like glass it just protects against scratching.and both the front & back glass is less than 1mm thick. The rap for the back glass is recommended as the lamination on the back glass is poor and the glass flakes like a fiber if it breaks. That rap will keep your glass together even if it breaks because you forgot to take it out your pocket before you sat. Take it from someone that had to replace the back glass of the U Ultra by buying the part on eBay. And yes my back glass broke inside a spigan rugged armor case. Thank god the tampered glass did it's job so all my repairs I could do without htc's help. I had ohuh protection, so a replacement phone was going to be free for me. But after waiting 4 months for HTC RMA department to get factory refurbished stock, I just got fed-up and cancelled and changed the back glass and tempered glass on my own. I still enjoy my U Ultra and you will enjoy your U11 but if you plan to keep it long, spend the few $ and protect it properly. HTC RMA department is a waist of time and U11 parts are hard to find online.

 • We will see..thanks.

 • How hard & thick is the transparent case that comes in box? Does it cover the sides too or not because of squeezing function? And after removing the nylon wrriten on display size..etc from front screen, is there any slim protector on screen like ones that come attached to other brands screens? From experience, if case is hard and up side goes above front screen, it can provide screen protection too unless ofcourse you drop phone on something like a knife head or iron.. which will be crazy!! Even if phone drops on ground directly at face screen will not break with hard case on.

 • Your phone dropping from 30cm and glass broken also edges damaged while glass protector on and case too is hilarious! What kind of ground was that! Not taking your crazy claims!! My last smartphone have its original company default screen protector(if it can even be named protector), and transparent thick case on(no top brand) and now when I remove the case it looks as if new phone and by the way it is 5.7'' and with WHITE back color too. Unfortunately motherboard spoiled and not finding new one, so decided to buy new phone which is HTC U11 Solar Red 6gb..

 • @hardcore My HTC U11's had glass protector when it damaged by fell down from 30 cm height. My phone's right bottom corner was damaged and this part covered by glass protector.

 • if you are planning to keep it for years, invest in a 1. tempered glass screen protector. 2. slickwraps skin to protect the back glass from scratching, which weakens the glass. 3. a TPU case to protect against shock damage caused by accidental drops. HTC RMA department takes forever to do repairs (2 months minimum) so it's not something you ever want to use.

 • Just an update..... I got to play with Galaxy Note 8 for half an hour. Look wise and loaded feature wise no one can come closer to Galaxy S8 Series and Note 8 ( But be ready to accept lot of bloatware also) When it comes to performance HTC U11 is hands down winner. It simply breeses through all the tasks you through at it like opening the apps or even loading the games. Even RAM management is awesome. Camera detailing is simply superb even the Samsung sales guy was asking about my U11 for camera clarity. I am not exaggerating here nor am I a HTC fanboy. But today I simply became HTC's software optimization fan. Well done HTC. Looking forward for OREO update.

 • Great ....... It is worth investing . Enjoy your handset and hopefully I will also have it for more than an year ;-)

 • Ordered HTC U11 Solar Red 6gb 128gb, because planning to keep it for many years, enough buying top phones every year or 2. Just hoping HTC U11 shows worth the big price in quality and color too.

 • Can't comment on pricing part as we have to shell out lot more compare to other countries. Yes we will get a converter but its still an additional accessories you have to carry.

 • For the ''3.5mm headphones jack'', it comes with attachment so you can use earphones too. It's a shame that in Europle users must pay over 100 euros more than Asia and the US. The stupid european union and schengen idea ruined more than helped.

 • I agree... 720 euros is not a small amount. But I believe if you are planning to use the mobile for long time its worth it. After 7 days of useage. My opinion about U11 is: 1. Performance is really great. Equally snappy like pixel or oneplus5. 2. Ram management is great. I am talking about 6gb varient as we don't get 4gb here. 3. 128gb internal storage is really great to have as its convenient to carry my songs, videos, audiobooks etc. collections in my pocket rathr than relay on the mobile network and data to access from the cloud. 4. 6 hours of constant screen on time for me fr9m morning 9am till 11.30pm in the night with around 20% battery left. 5. Best camera around for detailed pics. There is a bit of noice in low light conditions but detailing in the pictures are excelent. 6. Great display. Decent enough brightness level for outdoor usage. 7. Awesome speaker and headphones output. 8. IP 67 rating works perfectly. I was caught up in sudden rain for more than half an hour with a heavy traffic jam and my mobile survives. Cons: 1. Somtimes I miss the 3.5mm headphones jack. 2. If you want a full screen display mobile then this is not the one for you. For everything else this is the best mobile of 2017....

 • In India all color options are available in 6gb and 128gb only with dual sim. If you are a person who often change a mobile like me then buy 64gb varient and save few euros for your next purchase. If you are looking to use a mobile for a long term , may be like for 2 to 4 years then buy 6g and 128gb varient. Cause mobile technology is growing at a very fast pace. 2 years ago 3gb was the peak now its doubled. May be by 2018 second half all the upper mid range mobile may start giving you 6gb ram and then you might regret your choice.

 • Found this on HTC official site: *64GB Solar Red and all 128GB devices are Dual Sim. Dual Sim smartphones can be used with only one SIM as well as two, with no affect on performance. All other 64GB HTC U11 devices come as Single Sim. So seems my choice will switch to Solar Red 64gb or Solar Red 128gb 600 EUROS VS 720 EUROS which will you choose?

 • All HTC U11 6gb 128gb phones come with dual sim? 4gb one come with single sim.

 • I want a very quick opinion from you and other users: First, both HTC U11 Solar Red or Amazing Silver 4gb 64gb for 600euros, the first color red will reach next week while the second color can reach in few days this week if I order it asap. On the other hand, both HTC U11 Solar Red or Amazing Silver 6gb 128gb for 720 euros!! will reach next week if I order it asap. So only Amazing Silver 4gb 64gb for 600euros can have it in few days. - Other than 1 week interval difference, do you think 120euros difference btw 6gb 128gb and 4gb 64gb is worth paying it for the first option?! - Can the gbs be added to Rams later on and is 2gb worth 120euros!? since can use micro sd until 2tb to cover difference btw 64gb and 128gb. - Toughest question maybe: if chose 4gb is it worth waiting Solar red for 7 days more than Amazing silver? Lot of questions but can't see both colors in live...and not everyday buying expensive phone!

 • Dearest HTC and knowledge fan enthusiasts. We are almost in 2018 now!I don't know what'sggoing on in HTC!! A flagship with SD 835 and almost 30% bezels, not using Bluetooth 5,1 plus its auxiliaries,no IR blaster, not using USB 3.1 and otg, using incompatible battery and the most important using the ugliest hybrid !!!?Hopefully after Google purchase of some important shares from the HTC,we must not say goodbye to HTC as we did say to the Nokia....Google merger with the new younger innovative generations hopefully brings back luck to the HTC the used to be best quality maker !!! Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar hates missing the HTC and thousands of jobs worldwide....

 • Both color looks great. But what's best for me might not be so appealing for others. So its better to see it before you buy it. Case provides in the box is ok, but it will not give you great all round protection as its a hard case and its just basic case. I prefer flexi cases with a bit of lip which comes above the screen for better grip and protection. Yes it will add up to the bulk but its safe.

 • Asked btw both colors which look best in case, and why did you buy spigen?, the case that comes with it not durable or nice?!

 • Yes it looks great even in a transparent case. I am using it with Spigen case from day 1.

 • I have written my review on 28th. If you Want performance over screen to body ratio, Great speakers, the best bundled earphone, great camera, sexy rear glass with cool looks, great battery life go for HTC U11. If you want AMOLED curved screen, wireless charger, 3.5 mm earphone jack go with S8/S8+. PS : Almost all the flagship devices are glass backed now a days and yes glass can break if it falls. So don't worry about the durability. HTC are one of the best quality mobile phone makers.

 • HTC U11 Solar Red or Amazing Silver stays giving good different color reflection when in its transparent case?

 • True... In lot of country Camera Shutter sound is mandatory due to privacy concerns.

 • You must be trolling.. by your logic.. any phone that is damaged and not covered under warranty will be your last phone. I guess you will run out of brand to buy in no time. Good luck with that! Please go and buy a Nokia 3310, you can throw it around and it will not break.

 • Do you think it's without port 3.5mm is good or bad.

 • U11 have IR port or not?

 • it's great ..

 • Been using the U11 now as my daily driver for the past 4 months and I have to admit it's a very excellent smartphone and I am a heavy user also and I can always make it threw a full day without having to put it on charge and its constant use from say 9am in a morning till about say 1am at night. HTC have done a great job with this phone and I would highly recommend it to anyone you will not be disappointed with it but I would highly recommend you keep it in a case and also you use a tempered glass screen protector on it also.

 • Europe regulations require camera sound for privacy intrusion reasons.

 • @sreejith I can't find any brand that will replace your phone glass on warranty ! Sure it will be expensive for high price phone. Why didn't you use a screen protector and case(it comes with one) instead of whining now and disrecommending after your own mistake!

 • Im using htc u 11 more than 3 months without cover and im droped many time but nothing happened my phone i really enjoying htc u 11 super speed any very good cameras specialy in low light situation

 • Hi, Please do,I am planning to buy. My concern is glass back

 • HTC U11 is excellent phone in in my expereince in last 2 months use. But it's glass in not durable even a fall from small height will cause to damage edges and replacement is expensive too. My phone's edges damaged when it fell down from 50 sm height and its corner damaged.Their after sale service is very bad and comtel is doing during warrentee time. I checked with comtel, dubai for display glass replacement and they are asking AED 975/- ( USD 265/-) where new phone price is only usd 700/-.HTC U11 is my first and last HTC phone. So don't recomend to buy this phone.

 • Yes the Shutter sound mute option has been removed after recent update. Don't know why they have done that....

 • want to ask u11 owners about phone build quality and how much the glass is durable

 • Htc u11 solar red or amazing silver stays giving good different color reflection when in its transparent case? where it will be most or all times.

 • Ofcourse never saw live both solar red and amazing silver, only black in very few shops because most shops have HTC U11 on preorder only, there shops full of mostly iphones samsung and huawei! From idea that red mostly feminine color and silver unisex but amazing silver is more blue and color changes on angle and reflection.

 • Ooooh, that's too late, need a new top phone now... better buy it next week as new prices are set every monday.

 • To all HTC U11 Indian users, I need one help. I couldn't see shutter sound (off) option in camera settings in HTC camera app anymore. When I started phone for the first time yesterday, I could see that option placed between geo-tag photos option and camera setting option. I ticked shutter sound off option and took so many photos and the shutter sound was not coming. But when I took photos today morning, click sound started coming while taking photos. When I checked shutter sound(off) option in camera app settings, it is no more. I feel annoyed with shutter sound while taking photos. Can anyone tell me how to get shutter sound (off) option back?

 • Best chance is the holiday season end of november and december, maybe some good deals and discounts.

 • I say Solar Red, it’s a color you really don’t find on any other current phone. It gives a really special effect when seen under different light conditions.

 • I believe you have never held Solar Red model in your hand. Fell the color change and then comment....

 • im aguy who still didnt decide which color is better , any help

 • Strange why HTC U11 price still high near initial release price!! Now 660 euros!! Anyone know when phone prices will decrease like some 50-100 euros, anytime soon! maybe on V30 and iphone8 & X releases in Europe?

 • Solar red more suitable for girls or women not men.

 • True.... Amazing Silver or Solar Red. Both looks stunning. I have Solar Red its simply outstanding......

 • You should get the Amazing Sliver 6GB, 128GB...i own one and you won't regret. I don't like the shape and feel of the Sony Xperia Z Premium. Just my thought.

 • By default there will be no Galary or File Manager. You have to download from play store. Though You can see all your media contents in Google Photo app.

 • Really nice phone with superb looks. I think the best looking 2017 phone together with the Essential PH-1. I say go for it, the U11 is magnificent. If it’s too expensive, then consider the HTC U Play, cheaper and less powerful but the same amazing looks.

 • I didn't find gallery in htc u11

 • And we get only 6GB & 128GB version here. No other option available.

 • In INDIA generally HTC U11 costs 675 Euros & XZ Premium 752 Euros. I got my HTC U11 for 585 Euros on Amazon last week in a sale.

 • How much did you pay for HTC U11 and in what version? I have 40 euro more expensive HTC U11 6gb 128gb version, can get it for same 620euro as Sony but problem it is the black color while amazing silver that i like is 660 euro! HTC U11 4gb 64gb version amazing silver 620euro! Mafia shops!!

 • Not able to compare with XZ premium. But I had had a demo at Sony showroom for 10 min last week. I think HTC is still smooth. In general we have a price difference of 130$ here Sony being expensive. And I got HTC U11 for almost 125$ cheaper than Sony XZ premium making it 250$ price difference. And definitely Sony XZ premium is bulky. But display is better than HTC.

 • I think for top level phones and big money spent on the likes of HTC U11 or Sony XZ Premium or LG V30 or S8plus or iphone 7 plus or 8 now...it will be a shame if user get any fault in the 1-2 year warranty due to hardware problem!

 • Ever compared to Sony XZ Premium? I think with 6gb ram model HTC U11 will at least match the incredible fast smooth performance of Sony XZ Premium that has 4gb ram.

 • Nope..... Its always better to be aware of it rather than curse the company later for not having proper customer support. And in the electronics world you cannot predict anything.

 • After using HTC U11 for 3 day and comparing with Galaxy S8 (My Cousin's mobile) I can tell that my decision to buy HTC is really justified. Just Go for it guys, if you have a good after sales support in your area. How we compared the mobiles: we used both the mobile together for a full day side by side exchanging the mobiles for couple of hours in between to feel the difference. My cousin grudgingly accepted that HTC is the smoothest and fastest mobile with better battery life and better Rear camera compared to S8. Pros: 1. Good display with natural yet vivid color with decent brightness. 2. Great Battery Life. I am getting 6hrs of SOT in mixed usage with 60% WIFI and 40% 4G. 3. Super fast and accurate Finger print sensor 4. Awesome Speaker output and superb voice recording ability. 5. Almost stock like software experience. 6. Ample 128GB Memory with 6GB Ram (In INDIA Dual Hybrid Sim model) for future proofing compared to S8's 64Gb and 4Gb Ram. 7. Sexy design, especially rear glass design. 8. Great network reception better than S8 in my area. 9. Super tactile buttons and some decent gesture features. 10. Awesome rear camera (Sometimes we might need to under expose the shot) and good front camera. 11. Buttery smooth performance with no lag or memory management issue. Cons comparing to Galaxy S8: 1. Super AMOLED display of Samsung flagships are simply world class. 2. S8 has Smaller form factor with more display to body ratio. Here HTC U11 feels bulky and huge ( Not a deal breaker as the curved back fit comfortably in hand) 3. Front camera have better details in S8 due to auto focus even though it has an 8mp camera. 4. No wireless charging ( Not a big deal). 5. S8 have a tad bit better Video quality.

 • Do you mean HTC might face quick problems to have nearby service available?! Never thought buying samsung!

 • Go with 6gb and 128gb HTC its buttery smooth and very snappy device. Sony is decent but HTC is worth every penny if you have a good after sales service network in your area. Its even better than Galaxy S8, not in looks but in every other aspect.

 • I am also facingsame problem. I can't transfer by shareit

 • Am also looking at price if it really worth 660euro, sure in Asia cheaper hoped could grab one but living in Europe. Sony XZ premium head to head with HtcU11 but 6gb 128gb here makes difference, not sure if justifies paying 40euro more

 • Thanks for the guidance appreciated.

 • Amazing silver you can see back of the phone and can comb the hair if dont have time in home. Am using htc U11 Amazing silver am doing everyday

 • Go for htc U11 6GB

 • You can update, i have did last week for my htc U11

 • Isn’t it an update with bugfixes primarily? Most updates are just small ones with minor improvements or bugfixes.

 • Can anyone tell me what they think of the htc u11

 • HTCU11 Amazing Silver 128 GB, 6 GB RAM 660 Euro or HTCU11 Amazing Silver 64 GB, 4 GB RAM 620 Euro VS Sony XZ Premium Deepsea Black 64 GB, 4 GB RAM 620 Euro Which will you buy?

 • Found it..Internal 64 GB, 4 GB RAM or 128 GB, 6 GB RAM

 • Hi, Does anyone have info on regarding update I bought new HTC U11 a week back and I receive update, Should I go ahead or wait as I am not sure this new update will affect positively or negatively kindly request to guide me. Thanks in advance.

 • Can HtcU11 come 6gb ram and 64gb memory?, or it comes only 4gb ram & 64gb memory or 6gb and 128gb memory?

 • I'm from India &I'm facing some problem with my phone.i couldn't able to receive anything via SHAREit app & SBI anywhere personal app is not installing.anyone from India who already have sorted it out,pls help me guys.

 • Well i thought id get my u11 fixed after the glass case broke. To be honest the repair job was reasonable but dont expect your phone back after a couple of days or even a week.Ive coughed up the money for what is (according to u tube i saw ) about a minute and a half to 2 minute job. In another 4 days they will have had the phone about a Month .As ive said before excellent phone but it has put me off the brand now with this.I shall be looking at samsung next as in this day and age this sort of delay is not acceptable.Im a pensioner and i expected fast servce not a joke . Dissapointed HTC service repairers . Get your act together .

 • Which looks better Amazing Silver or Sapphire Blue ? Saw on youtube that the first has interesting changing colors according to light and angle while the blue nice but very dark blue...what are your thoughts guys?

 • Only downside of getting LG or HTC initially is that we will not get proper accessories. But yes there are few decent Screen Guards and Tempered glasses in Amazon. check them out. PS: Solar Red looks amazing mate....

 • I just got mine yesterday in amazing silver...I'd love to get the solar red but it's not available in my country. Have you found a great full cover tempered glass? I just ordered one from AliExpress...it will arrive in 2-3 weeks, but not sure if it fits and looks great.

 • I have the same problem. I have Linksys WRT1900AC. U11 Wi-Fi works every where except my home..Anyone has a solution yet?

 • U11 and V30 best phones mate. Definitely check them out both rock. U11 has superb looks.

 • Solar red amazing color mate grats.

 • Hardware is not good ..looke like down..nothing

 • Just Received my Solar Red U11 and first reaction came to my mind is that its just WOW!!!!! SAR value is 0.574 head and 0.402 body in India.

 • Specific absorption rate (SAR): is a measure of the rate at which energy is absorbed by the human body when exposed to a radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic field. It can also refer to absorption of other forms of energy by tissue, including ultrasound.[1] It is defined as the power absorbed per mass of tissue and has units of watts per kilogram (W/kg)

 • Can anyone tell me what is SAR level of this phone, its written on box? Thanks

 • After using Samsung Galaxy S and Note Series mobiles since S3, Note2, S4, S5, Note 4, S6 and now S7 edge as my primary device. I considered buying Note 8 but its simply too big for a normal sized pocket. I have ordered U11 Solar Gold varient yesterday for a very good deal of 7000/- Rs off. I was supposed to get it today but Flipkart screwed the scheduled I have to wait till Monday now. F... these Flipkart B....... and their big billion day sale..... Thats not all, in between I have used tons of other mobiles ( And yes I am crazy over mobile phones ;) ) I will update my review comparing with my S7 edge and my cousin's S8 next week.

 • Absolutely rubbish you clearly don't own this phone because I do and I'll tell you that the battery life is brilliant. Got 6 hours SOT time today with 18% still left at the moment. Need I say anymore.....

 • Will considering it on my next upgrading.

 • waiting is a virtue

 • Every single person i show my HCU u11 is impressed by its beauty, speed, performance, camera shots, the screen quality and the sound quality. You really never seen one to say so much crap from your mouth.

 • 3000 mAh is more than enought on SD 835, but i guess you dont have a clue on that...the closest thing you saw to a flagship phone is on reviews by your comments.

 • I forgot 2: top and bottom borders enormous, like the Sony's xperia.

 • Ah,I forgot : display lcd.700$ is enough for thsee especifications.

 • Cons:no 3.5 ear jack Battery just 3000mAh Price.

 • Where I work I get access to newest and best mass produced handsets on the planet... Nexus 6p came out and after playing with one for about 2 weeks I got it and the same with handsets that followed (HTC 10, Pixel XL). HTC u11 was not that convincing to start with... Lack of earphone jack and dual side glass are really not my thing.... I do prefer solid metal phone and this u11 is not. What it is though, is in my opinion the best phone I played with this year (so far) and I am a proud owner of black 4gb version of it. Yes it is not the most impressive screen on the market but it's still great. Yes it does have quite big frame around it (smaller than iPhone 8plus). But let's jump in to what is so great about it: - this camera on both pictures and video is just stunning in all conditions although 16mp front facing camera is a bit disappointing in low light conditions in video calls where HTC software doesn't do the magic. - best speakers in a phone I used. - absolutely stunning performance. - for the first few days battery behaved as in gsma review but than Google and HTC software kicked in and now it's officially the longest lasting handset I used and by far even compared to pixel XL and by quite a bit. - it does not sound as good and as loud as HTC 10 through usbc dac but still sounds much better than pretty much everything else on the market in Europe to that level that I use it with my pixel too - although it is better optimised on u11 (you can get it really cheap from HTC store and work on everything usbc I tried it on. Geuenly great phone - won't regret if you get it. PS I love the look of the back after first hesitation even if cover it all the time and only enjoy the beauty while cleaning it.

 • Since reviews for LG V30 & Samsung Note 8 are out already.... U11 or V30 or Note 8???

 • I'm a big fan of HTC phones from the time I got my Desire S, and One ME. I'm planning for an upgrade. Is this worth the upgrade? I just don't like the no jack option.

 • The day that HTC U11 announced that they get Android 8.0 for U11 I immediately trade my Samsung Galaxy S8 and bought this u11 but look at now ,the s8 is now rolling it's 8.0 version. What the heck HTC where is the 8.0 version you promised.

 • People buy this phone it's a great phone and the fastest android phone.

 • HTC U11 DxOMark Review with new testing protocols, score 90, joint rank #1 with Google Pixel

 • HTC is making really good phones this year. U Ultra is a really good phone especially with the cheaper price now, and U11 is really a superb phone too. I try a lot of brands but when I use HTC I feel like I'm home, it feels familiar and I prefer the Sense software more than stock or Touchwiz etc. I'm also very glad to see that HTC finally is able to make an excellent camera in a phone. So I couldn't wish for more now. HTC for me it's the best!

 • Every company has it's stories of bad service. Do you want my story about a Sammy Note5 that had a bad screen and how they refused to get it fixed although still under warranty? And I guess Sony and LG aren't perfect, either... that's life. But HTC had always made excellent phones. You can't bash them for one bad story.

 • HTC U11 phone of the year

 • Both good phones, but it depends on your own preferences, XZ Premium with a super high ppi and a more boxy design, or a more rounded U11 with superb colors. Unless there are features which one have over the other and which you really want, then it's easier to decide. I'd say it's a tough one, I like both phones.

 • Like Htc, Love U11

 • I am sad to say I pre ordered my htcu11 I got it in June. Why am I sad you ask? From day one it would drop calls or I failed to get calls I assumed it was a sprint issue 15 days after I got it I reactivated my samsung phone ....all calls came through with no drop calls I then reactivated the u11 again drop calls, some calls not coming through. At this point i went back to sprint just to find out I was past my time to return it with no questions asked, I was told I had to send it to htc for repairs. That was in June after numerous calls to htc they finally said don't call us we will let you know when it has been repaired... it's been 4 months I still have no phone. Every other month they send me an email stating they are working hard to get this done. The following is the latest one I got. We know how important having a working device is for you. We would like to apologize for the amount of time your repair service has taken and any inconvenience this may have caused. We want you to know that we have prioritized your repair ticket to ensure it is handled as quickly as possible. Cause of the delays is due to Repair location transition and the extreme weather. We are extreme working on sending the phone to you. Now they are laying delays on bad weather. I am not a happy camper.

 • Haven't tried the premium but I can say the U11 is a great phone. Great build quality feel, great audio, and very smooth performance. I have the Solar Red 128 GB version and I have no complaints at all. Great Camera too!

 • Me to got the one which was ordered in pre-booking. It came with JBL active, flip cover car charger in addition to the phone full box.

 • Hello,help please .Demo HTC U 11 ,finger print doesn't work.And i can't delete Demo aplication.Thanks

 • really don't know why everybody wants same phone like 90% of the world. since i hate to be in that category (sheep)...usually i tend to go with good devices but less known. i had nokia n9 (meego) when everyone had iphone or any other model of nokia (symbian). was proud owner of blackberry z10 with fantastic bb10 OS when bb was dead. still have it and still runs. back in the days when everyone had nokias or eriksons i had QTEKS. I had a htc with slide keyboard. i had an iphone 3G. when noone knew what an iphone was. now got back to htc 10 last year (fantastic device). this year htc u11. its another league from htc 10..much better battery life. better screen. better camera. smother and faster. software polished with newer android. better sound. and is a beautiful phone to watch. if google buy htc, its great because google have better software support. htc have iphone quality comparable. samsung is way worst in quality than htc...

 • i bought mine from their website. bought last year htc 10. this year htc u11. till now 0 problems. free shipping for my county (portugal)

 • Did anyone experience a Wi-Fi hanging problem with the HTC U11 middle east version? It started last month and only happens at home where I have Linksys EA6100 with both 2.5 & 5 Ghz SSID. But when the problem started I stop using 5 GHz but it didn't help. The issues are as follows. a) notification Wi-Fi icon stays connected but not network b) the setting of Wi-Fi shows connected to my SSID c) does not show any list in Wi-Fi even the connected one d) can not switch off or on the Wi-Fi e) shows reboot logo but the phone does not switch off or reboot when you try for reboot f) the only option is to hold the power and Vol down button for 20 Sec to force switch off. I wanted to go to HTC but the first thing will be resetting the phone. Which I don't want to happen due to the pain of recovering 40-45 GB data. Is this Linksys-HTC bug? If the problem is there for other U11 users then its a bug with HTC alone. My other HTC M7/Mini2/M9+ all are working fine.

 • Sony XZ Premium or HTC U11!?!?

 • Never mind, too expensive and risky.

 • After the bew update the battery backup much improved thanks htc i can get esly one abd half day with 4g

 • So is it possible to pre-order HTC U11 128gb storage/6GB RAM even in EU now? Too bad HTC wont offer in my country, though I see the option for shipping to mainland eu countries in Ireland HTC site, is it safe to order that way?

 • It's a rumor.

 • Same here and same for me!

 • That's still only a rumor. Both HTC & Goggle haven't said anything about it.

 • I don't know what its like in other contries but in the UK everyone has either a iphone or a Samsung which is making be sway away from these brands and venture to sumink different!! my heart is with this stunning device the U11!!

 • What is the feature of this masterpiece u11 because HTC sell his mobile division to the Google Can HTC give after selsservice for their service center Can we get feature update if yes than who will be provide us HTC or google If google provide update than meaning is we gets faster update and pure Android Post your comments guys

 • I had the same issue. either google xl, sony xz premium or the U11. however ive heard that you can not download PDF files from a google phone which really put me off buying one. so now come November is a toss between the HTC U11 or SONY XZ Premium

 • Hey guys, I'm stuck trying to decide between pixel XL and u11, any one used both? Would love any guidance to help me decide!!

 • It is slightly better than both of them, since HTC's own Sense UI is much more lightweight than theirs, very clean and feels kind of like stock

 • I run after buying this phone U11 because in all aspects this leads to somewhat they call "squeeze" feature. But of course I also consider buying this because of the LTE Cat 16 which comparable to S8. The s8 has lacks of camera goodness, that is why I chose the U11 than s8. No regrets because U11 will have plan to update to 8.0 the soonest possible. No regrets in choosing u11. Very fast. No hangs no lags no battery heats. Best of all is the battery, it long last 24hours in one single charge. I think I can upgrade into new phone 3years from now.

 • Thanks dearest friends whomever reminded me. Yes,infra red and radio plus rds and 4000 mah necessary battery has been forgotten to be used!!Hopefully in modified HTC U11 + edition....How curious smart clever genius you are !

 • Dearest HTC.I think this is the first time in recent years that I write about any HTC's smartdevices.Undoubtedly this is the best amongst all HTC smartphones phablet up to now!But it could have win the hearts without having the least possible bezels. No more hybrids....Audio jack..Bluetooth 5.1 plus all its auxiliaries.Mentioning otg and chances upgrades to next and then android OS. Also repeating 3000 mah for all smartphones doesn'tssound popular....I don't know anything about HTC's after sales support, care, maintenance but I take it by goodwill...Of course GSMArena review is more profound + 128 gigs of ROM and 6 gigs of RAM for all markets....Justice Rights.Omid12Omidvar merely gives suggestions unbiasedly on the welfare favorites of all brands.

 • I cant believe company like HTC removed 3.5mm.. Sound is probably good, but a downgrade from HTC10 too... For now a lack of headphone jack is a dealbrake for me, still going Sony

 • 16 phones between close family and staff ranging between S8, iPhone 6+, 7+, 7, Google Pixel, HTC 10 and HTC U11. Personally using HTC's for past 15 years including recently iPhone 6+, 7+, HTC U11 is just so good. It never disappoints, its fast (operational, connectivity), represent so much quality, amazing sound, easy to use, feel so solid and always make me smile. My best phone ever. Dual sim such a bonus. Thanks HTC.

 • True, but nowadays almost all phones of the higher tier have a glass back. The U11 still remains a beauty to look at, with a sturdy case you might don't see it's true beauty but it stays protected. Take it out the case once in a while and enjoy the color of the Phone, that would I do I think.

 • It's way better

 • you have +1000 posts here. you need more than that to have an idea if the phone is good or not? or you just lazy and want your question answered without reading any post.

 • It's even better than the S8 and iPhone 7. Speed wise it's a bit faster than S8 and equal speed compared to 7. Camera wise the U11 is better than S8 and iPhone 7, especially low light. I've had the iPhone 7 for a couple of weeks earlier this year, and my brother has the S8 so I compared it and the U11 is better. I'm no fanboy of any phone brand, but I can tell you the U11 is the best phone I've ever used and in my opinion it's the best phone of 2017 so far.

 • is this phone as good as Samsung s8 and iphone 7?

 • I upgrade in Nov and Im toyed between getting this U11 or the sony XZ Premium. What do you guys think? pros and cons of the U11?

 • you dont need a heavy case. i've mine for 2 months without any glass protection, with back cover provided from htc on box. still in mint condition. my htc 10 had worst gorilla glass only had a transparent silicone case, with no screen protection, still 0 scratches. more than 1 year now.

 • just got the new version 1.27.401.5 today, here in Portugal, bought from htc online. :) till now 0 problems. smooth sailing. after this 2 months of using it, it's still an impressive phone. no special care, with no glass protection (only back htc cover, provided on the box). phone is still in mint condition. the battery life is amazing. just 3 days ago i went out with some friends, one had a oneplus 3. he had 70% batterie. i had 56%. with same usage at the end of the night he had 20%, i had 23%. screen was also way better. the photos i take with the htc u11 are amazing. really. much better than my last phone htc 10. sometimes i feel that they are over processed but you can tweak that or use google pixiel camera app if you prefer. in my vacations, the htc earphones were my companion and the active noise cancel worked well. not the best ofc, but they are better than normal earphones. using squeeze function every day so to the ones that says is a gimmick...it its..untill you use it.

 • Good phone

 • I love my Solar red htc ull It is so shiny and beautiful but that is it's downfall. It is made of smooth glass that is begging to slide out of your hand like water. It will get dropped. The Gorilla glass five is good, but not indestructible. The right drop and its going to shatter. That being said, it needs a heavy duty case which means how beautiful this super smart phone is, is a mute point. A sturdy case will keep this perfect phone in perfect condition.

 • I couldn't agree more with what you have said regarding the U11 and I have been using this phone now as my daily driver for more than 3 months and it's truly excellent. The battery life is outstanding and I routinely get 6 hours plus SOT time and I rarely ever have to put it on charge during the day and overall the U11 does everything right but I admit I do wish it was built of aluminium and not glass but other than that I am extremely impressed with it. I would throughly recommend anyone to buy this phone for sure and you won't be disappointed but I'd recommend you keep it in a very good case indeed.

 • Use the latest google camera app with hdr+ It is amazing in low light with hdr+

 • Thanks your comment was really helpful- thinking of buying one myself 😊

 • Good fone

 • For that you can buy a rugged case, the good ones really help protecting the phone to its fullest.

 • Lol. The other way around is true as well. U11 cons is old, V30 pros is newest launch. Well, I guess I shall wait for V30 reviews to pour in first...

 • hi i am using HTC u 11 but i have one issue....shear it app is not working properly on my u 11 means files are able to send from my phone but its unable to receive any file in my phone by another phone..so guys help me is these problem is occuring to another u11 or not

 • where can i find a htc store in singapore?i cannot find htc u11 at mobile store except telecommunications store

 • U11 pro, it's for sale. V30 con. Not for sale. Lol

 • HTC U11 or LG V30?? Pros and cons of each??

 • Hope you didn't send it to HTC RMA for repairs. If you did please give a weekly update of progress. I hope you have a good report to give.

 • How is it user un-friendly?? It is near stock Android experience.. I doubt you own it..

 • ive had mine 3 months but due to unfortunate accident in for repair. This phone (mostly ) has been faultless. I do reccomend though that you get a very tough case as mine actually broke the case (with the supplied plastic covering case still on!!) Amazingly the glass screen in still in tact .Battery life is really amazing but you do have to be careful with controlling how many apps are you are using an mindful of how you use it. The Audio is absolutely superb (and im not even a real music fanatic) the quality is just stunning. Pictures? i still have not mastered them but easily stack up and exceed my old samsung s7 . Speed? Its like a magnitude better than i had . Looks size ? and all that is up to you .Im very happy with mine .Dont be put off .Think HTC (and other manufacturers ) need to look at going back to aluminium base till glass is sorted or made more flexible with more give though.I was in engineeering myself and there are plenty of materials in use in camera bodies now that are tough resiliant and the companies need to have a look at some of these engineered solutions for ideas.Ps I loked at amazon and there are over 50 pages of cases for the U11 and when i first got mine i think there were 3 or 4 .So deffo gaining in the accessories market .

 • if you know to your self you're a bit of a klutz, buy a TPU case & but on a tempered glass. problem solved.

 • l've been hearing that HTC's phones have the best performance. But if the phones were to fall on the ground (concrete or wood), they would be really damaged. So I really don't really trust their phones, especially this one!

 • We want a 75 dB sound and a 100 to 80 screen ratio, please.

 • user unfriendly to me. all the while I m using Samsung and now I regret changing to htc u11.

 • Love the Google Assistant. And the rest features of this U11 especially the Battery. Hey guys just give me a peace of mind coz I'm afraid updating to latest August security patch it may be affected the goodness of my battery right now. Help me decide if I'm going to update or not. I'm just waiting the full upgrade to 8.0 instead.

 • Yes

 • People looking for a flagship phone with amazing looks and performance should buy HTC U11, and if you have the choice then go for the solar red color option.

 • Couldn't agree more Justin,, love my solar red 6/128 GB

 • Today I was with my friends who also like to have flagship phones and to compare them with each other. I've compared my U11 with S8, iPhone 7 and in almost all photo comparisons my U11 came out best. My friends also admitted that because it was clear to see which one was better. Speed wise, the U11 with browsing was a little bit faster with loading web pages and equally fast with iPhone 7. They really liked the audio zoom feature, it works perfectly fine and a nice innovation. Edge sense (squeeze) is also something which they liked. These two guys would never say it's a great phone if that wasn't true. They're honest. HTC made an excellent phone, and it's definitely worth the money.

 • Are you serious?

 • Why dont you juat say, It's not much different than nokia 3310? Its a phone after all, just need to be able to call and text sms. Geeez....

 • @ Raj Gorans based on your comments you probably also don't know you can also take a panoramic selfie not just landscape panoramic or turn on flash for the selfies if you are not in an area with good lighting. when you turn on flash it will flash the screen white to light up your face.

 • @ Raj Gorans the 6 post below are all to help you to find your way in a HTC 2017 phone. i'm just adding this one for extra stuff for the camera that you may not know where they are. For maco-night shot and fast moving objects mode.... they can all be found in Pro mode.. with the back camera on, tap the 2 vertical lines on the left>scole down to "Pro" and tap it.> on the screen you will see all you need to take pictures like a pro.

 • @ Raj Gorans if your last HTC phone was the HTC ONE X no wonder you are lost. my 5 posts below is dedicated to helping you with the new Sense UI and the things you said the phone didn't have. also, you should download your HTC U11 user manual and give it a read it would definitely help you. If you want my help with anything I can be found in the U Ultra Forum as I own the HTC Ultra which is running the same UI version as the U11.

 • @ Raj Gorans if you pull down twice from the top you would see that you have more toggles and then swipe left to see even more. you can even tap the pencil icon to edit the layout of what you see. and as for you saying they can only toggle on & off stuff, your are wrong again. trying holding your finger on any of the toggles and see what happens.

 • @ Raj Gorans I don't have the dual sim model of the U Ultra but I'm 90% sure if you swipe down on the home screen to bring up the quick lunch tray you can.... tap on the settings gear>go to Dual network manager and from there pick your defaults.

 • @ Raj Gorans task/reminder is built into Google assistant press and hold the home key, when the assistant starts, tell it your task or reminder, or tap the keyboard icon to the left if you prefer to type.

 • @ Raj Gorans If you want the "face soften" for the front camera, tap to flip the camera to the front> tap the 2 vertical lines on the left > in the selfie photo section you should see "Makeup" that is the slider you want to turn on. if you are having red eye problems, turn on HDR auto

 • @ Raj the default email app has support for hotmail and office 365 when you open the app you just have to tap the 3dots>go to add account and you will see Exchange ActiveSync for HTC Sence Gmail Yahoo Mail Outlook.com Other (pop3/IMAP) you just have to pick the correct one & set it up. I have my work 365 account, personal gmail & live mail all going to the one default mail app. as for setting the sync time..... after you setup your accounts, pick the account you want to set the sync time for>tap the 3 dots>tap settings>tap sync, send & receive. once in there you can change it to how you like.

 • Thoroughly disappointed after waiting for more than 6 months for this phone. The phone is not much different from my Previous HTC One X which is more than 5 years old in terms of functionality. Some basic things missing are Cannot set default SIM, you have to select everytime you make a call, the default widgets are very few, sense companion continues to give suggestion even though u have disabled it. There is no Tasks app and obviously cannot sync with Outlook. The top menu swipe down has few links only and has to facility to only switch on and off, the option to go to the respective setting is not there. My earlier phone camera has the option to fine tune the photos such as Face Soften, red eye reduction, which is not present in U11. The mail app does not have the option to set sync timings. Looks like they have given the basic Android functions without including those that was already available in earlier HTC versions. Thoroughly disappointed, unless these are taken care in the software update.

 • You already have a new phone in the s8. Why would you want to change it already or do you get bored easily. More money than sense.

 • I have the 6/128 unlocked version. Smooth and very fast. Great camera, good battery life. Very slippery! Fallen 3 feet onto linoleum...no problems though. Still waiting for updates. Very pleased with phone. Great audio. I bought for functionality... I don't care about bezels!

 • Mean sometimes they can break on there own,not bring but the aluminium build phones were excellent.

 • I do think htc should bring back the metal unibody for sure and these glass phones are pretty to look at but all it takes is one drop and the phone will break, sometimes they can bring purely on there own if there's a fault with the glass manufacturing to. I have had virtually every htc flagship since the m7 but my U11 just feels so vulnerable to breaking and it's a horrible feeling to be worried about the glass breaking whereas with the aluminium build ones they were like tanks and htc was known for its classic aluminium build.

 • If only there was a way to petition HTC to bring back the metal unibody and front facing speakers.

 • I don't understand why you would spend all that money on a phone and then purposely put it in water and yeah it is water resistant not water proof. I do think the build quality of my U11 is excellent but I admit I am not a fan of the glass build and I am worried about dropping it all the time but I do have a tempered glass screen protector on it and I use a spigen rugged armour case also with a carbon skin on the back of the phone for even more protection. I do wish it was made of aluminium like all previous htc flagships.

 • U11 is much better. Just there is no marketing to promote this phone. Go for the U11 nevertheless.

 • Samsung S8 or HTC U11?? I have the S8 was planning on getting HTC U11...Wat say?

 • Very happy with my HTC U11. Truly fantastic camera in all lighting conditions, great battery life (6 hours screen-on-time), bright display, incredible speed when opening apps and browsing, and I like the Sense customization too. What I like the most are the speakers which provides an amazing sound for listening to Spotify and watching YouTube videos. I think this phone is quietly the best phone of 2017, for me that's definitely the case.

 • Durable? my ass.... my HTC U11 can't even withstand immersion into a very swallow water basin less than 5 minutes...

 • This phone disappoints me in terms of the durability quality. I just bought a U11 and immerse it into a basin of water. No even 5 minutes the phones shut down already and the next day there are visible water vapor in the camera lens. The speakers sounds also distorted due to water entering the speakers. IT SUCKS!

 • Great phone very durable and HTC build is amazing.

 • you have a long wait ahead. 86days before a replacement U Ultra showed up at my door. you could read my full story on the U Ultra page. I replied to my self so readers could follow the dates back, till they reach the beginning. I also go the no parts excuse. The only difference between me and you was....... I had Oh Uh protect so it was a phone swap, not a repair. so I didn't have to send the damaged phone first.

 • The reason is because how people look at smartphones now is beauty, without much sacrifice on durability. But still not as durable as previous smartphones

 • The HTC U11' screen also curves around the edges (even though it is not a curved screen) and I'd be pretty scared to see what happens if without protection this would drop to the floor. As beautiful as these glass phones are, they are not meant to last at all.

 • It is a fantastic quick and snappy phone - gorgeous looks, but build quality will not last long at all, especially if you dont get it proteced on both the front and back of the device.

 • Lots of people facing this issue after downloading the latest update - maybe even all?? HTC are working to have this rectified with the next update.

 • ....just one word in it, no need to be clever "much expensive"

 • why post a review of a phone that you will have had only for a few hours - especially as this phone is already a few good months old and however good your review will be, with all the reviews online your will not be any different. I'd understand if your review was after 2 or 3 months of using it. Pointless!

 • Okay I understand. Here in The Netherlands the S8 is 720 euro and the U11 is 700 euro. I have ordered the U11 and will receive it tomorrow. I will post a review here in a couple of days.

 • U11 730USD Galaxy S8 G950FD Dual Sim only 650USD OP5 520USD in Pakistan.. :-(

 • The phone has a very fragile screen especially at the squeeze points. Mine broke and I've read where others have as well. HTC has had my phone for over a month with no repair date set yet. Waiting on parts, transitioning to be repair center, they have several excuses.

 • What do you mean with 'much expansive'?

 • Advantage: 1. Sound 2. Camera 3. Quick Response Snapdragon 835 3. Clear Black Display Disadvantage: 1. Ugly Look especially from back side 2. No 3.5 audio Jack so can't listen music while charging phone 3. Not durable phone because of Glass applied on both sides 4. Much expansive

 • Everything good but the design disappointed 😞

 • Nope

 • thx htc for new update .. but we neeed solution for camera noise at night

 • Have infrared?

 • Thanks for the suggestion..but I gave my phone for DO yesterday

 • Hi... i guess u jz updated the google photo right ? Try to uninstal the update, it should back to normal.

 • Which comparison are you referring to? GSM Arena's tool, or a shootout done elsewhere? Please also note that DXO's score is a compound score that takes into account things other than image quality, such as autofocus speed and accuracy, and flash performance, etc.

 • the only reason benchmark doesn't tell the whole story. u11 might be the highest rated camera ever but your taste might not be same the engineer who tested the camera. thats the reason there are so many camera sensors and all manufactures don't use same sensor, some like samsung, some sony, some htc, some oneplus and some lg.

 • hey htc, in dxomark camera review, htc u11 got 90 score. Bt in campare with samsung,lg, sony, nokia, one+ or apple, u11 isn't best or top! Why??? Plz mind it! And display, batterylife, perfomnce or hardware

 • guyz I'm facing some serious problem with my phone...when im trying to delete photo those are clicked by edgesense while my phn is locked.,at that time my display is flactuating rapidly untill i click that power botton...if anybody is facing that problem plz tell me....

 • When I use my cable and charging block that came with the phone I get the message charging rapidly but to be fair I normally use a standard charging block which doesn't fast charge because I want the lifetime of the battery to last as long as possible. I do wish I could replace the battery like on my G5 and G4.

 • Mr Gray when you use the provided charger and cable do you see a message pop-up saying "charging rapidly" ? I'm asking because I'm trying to determine if HTC gave me a defective cable or if everyone got a USB-C cable from HTC that doesn't support quick charge 3. I had to change my cable to see the pop-up.

 • This is the best smartphone in the market right now!!! With nailing everything that we want.... Thank you HTC :)

 • Yes. At first I thought the GALAXY S8 was really big when I heard of 5.8", but when I first hands-on, it was actually smaller than my XPERIA XZ a bit, literally the whole smartphone is able to fit in my hands totally

 • so you have a repaired phone in your hand or a tracking # showing its on its way? Because I got 2 emails from David of the escalations department in my 50+ days wait before I got fed-up and bought the part and had my back glass swap out at a local repair store.

 • What is your software version I have 1.13.400.6 and I am in India I got this update last month what is your software version

 • Update to my earlier post. After repeated calls and messages, I was able to escalate this situation to get it resolved by HTC. They ultimately acknowledged the issue and made good on it. Kudos to HTC for recognizing my frustration and acting to rectify. I'm again a believer in the product and the company.

 • Both screens don't have the same aspect ratio so you have to look at area not hight (side by side) if you want to talk about which has the bigger screen. That is the point I'm making Because a 5.8" s8 screen is smaller than a. 5.8" screen in the traditional aspect ratio.

 • Compare side by side lol.. be smart okay?

 • Yeah, my M9 did that too. The U11 hasn't done that for me so far.

 • No U11 is by far best device on market alongside s8 and iphone s8... i wondering what will be when V30 shows up with f/1.6

 • There is 1 big and 1 small speaker bit the phone sounds amazing and is very loud, you think you have a portable speaker

 • I'm loving what I heard about HTC u11. I really wanna get one. The thing is I'm currently using a HTC One m9. It gets really hot easily, so I'm wondering if u11 has the same issue

 • I ordered the U11 in Blue. Should be coming any day now. Will my One Plus Dash charger (Of my Oneplus3T) work to give fast charging to the HTC?

 • Does U11 has stereo speakers (2 speakers)? If it does, are the volume level same from both ?

 • S8 is like a remote control. Too narrow. The U11 in my opinion has equally/normal screen size. And the camera...beats the S8 all the way. Audio...same beats S8 all the way.

 • i love htc. my lasy phone htc m8 was fantastic. but this is one of worst made phone ever. anti scratch protection is a joke, more like pro-scratch. lots of scratches on front and rear just after one week of careful useing. and touchscreen is also very insensitive. most of the time u have to touch twice. don't buy this htc.

 • Yes, i used them both.. based my opinion HTC U11 better sound and kamera But about design is out dated in 2017

 • don't confuse longer with bigger. the S8 is very narrow. if i have a 10" screen that is only 2" wide, would you say it is bigger than the S8 screen?

 • Rear camera bit better? Get out of here. Its the best so far this year.

 • I prefer a normal aspect ratio than the weird long screen on the S8. Please be honest with yourself, I believe the camera on U11 is better than S8. Stop lying..

 • This is what I don't like about the GALAXY S8, which wows their fans for some kind of "Beautiful Curved Display" gimmick, which breaks easily than any other smartphone

 • Worse audio. Easily breakable display. Poor fingerprint scanner placement. Minimal support for 2:1 ratio display. Basic colours choices. Bixby sucks. 0 innovative new features besides a long screen.

 • Rear camera on u11 is much better than S8+. I have both phones

 • S8 with IP68 is beauty and got bigger screen but more compacy size HTC U11 better sound and selfie camera, rear camera little bit okay

 • True that, but whatever u get this year wont be as good as htc u11 in ui, camera, speakers, call quality, battery life and general performance. Like the other person said, it comes with 3.5mm jack out of the box so i dnt see how its an issue for u. N f u r fussy about adapter, u r the only truckie ithat complains about the looks coz i dont believe being a truckie is a glamorous job.

 • Use Type-C to 3.5mm connector.. Easy'

 • In my country (Netherlands) only the single sim is available as far as I know. If the dual sim variant is cheaper, I don't see a reason not to get it? And it can be handy too, having the option to use two sims.

 • I prefer HTC U11 than the sissy Samsung S8 curve screen..

 • my work truck only has an input for a 3.5mm jack for music easier to get a different phone than a truck

 • Great spec and features but not the design and price.. 2015-2016 very old fashion design like Sony lol 😂 Maybe HTC need recruit better designer

 • there is no big difference specially in performance , the difference could be just in the storage space and RAM memory which mean the singel sim model could be released in 4GB RAM for 64 GB storage while the dual is 6GB RAM for 128 GB storage memory and all of that is depends on HTC about which model will release in ur country but about the price this is first time i hear that a singel SIM one is cheaper , I have my own amazing silver HTC U11 in 128 GB storage space and 6 GB RAM it is smooth such as sony with lovely camera and screen and alot more great things so go for it if you don,t mind average life battery .

 • This is one Gorgeous looking phone ever ... InLove ;)

 • i hard about it, it's a phone for the new generation, i believe is available in Nigeria so i can get my own especially the dual sim one, i which it could have a radio.

 • My U11 is. Awesome. Reviews are critical of the bezels. There are only three phones currently available with small bezels, the S8, S8+, and the G6. I'm sure many more almost bezel less phones will come out fall of 2017. On-screen buttons are essentially bezels, as they take up screen space. The top bezel on the U11 is awesome, as it accommodates a front facing media speaker. Yes, bezels are boring to look at, but the added screen space is worth it.

 • Hi! I'm planning to buy HTC U11 in my country, Hungary, but I see a big difference between the prises of Dual SIM and single SIM version. Actually in most of the cases, dual SIM option is around 100-150 USD cheaper. Do you know any reason for that? I have never had a Dual SIM phone, but looking at the specifications I don't see any difference between the two phones.

 • My u11 broke at a slight fall, No screen not strong enough, No warranty. Extremely unhappy spending for such feeble phone from hTC

 • When you read their English I think their service becomes self explanatory. Putting humour aside HTC should not promise what it can't deliver and I'm sure that AnthOny will agree with comment. It is very poor public relations.

 • I understand your pain. They had no factory refurbished HTC U ULTRA phones to give me a replacement under uhoh protection warranty. after 50+ days of waiting the back glass became available on eBay so I bought it there and got it replaced locally. So don't dump your phone. Put a plastic skin protector on the broken glass and keep it. Sooner or later the display will go on sale on ebay and you can buy one and have the repair done at a walk in repair shop. HTC RMA department is totally useless. Take it from me if they did take apart your phone it was going to come back with gaps in the assembly like the crappy Work they did many years ago on my wife ONE MAX. HTC great phones, piss poor RMA department

 • Battery life seems to be pretty good go for it.

 • Where is image gallery in it as i found it no where???

 • Mine just received a smalls scratch this morning when I placed it in my bag. I have only had it for one week! I automatically bought a screen protector, which I have never done for a phone before. Oh well, this cost way to much to limit the amount of protection it receives.

 • HTC U11 - Nice Phone, Beware HTC Customer Service!! I had the U11 for about 5 weeks, enjoying it immensely. It’s protected with Spigen Liquid Crystal case. One day, I had the phone sitting in cupholder of my car while I drove. I later pulled it out of my (front) pocket in the evening to discover crumbled glass on the side of the screen which quickly spidered out across the screen. The spot where the glass crumbled is exactly where my thumb sits when using the edge squeeze feature. The case covers this edge and does not have a scratch or a mark on it. I searched online for other people who may have experienced glass breakage. Seems to be growing concern over durability of the U11, see the test at . There are some complaints about breakage from just a small fall, but my phone was definitely not dropped!! I've never had a screen crack on any smartphones in the past and I'm pretty sure that it's a defect in manufacturing. Expect that we will be seeing more complaints over coming weeks and months. It appears that HTC has had issues with parts supply, particularly glass, so also expect long waits and expensive repairs. After hearing from HTC support that parts for the U11 were now available and repairs were running 7-10 days, I got an RMA and sent the phone back to them for repair on 7/17. I activated my older HTC One M8 in the meantime, which gives me no end of trouble with cellular radio signal and connectivity. I am barely able to make calls and rarely get data, while my wife's and daughter's iphones have no issues at our location. Attempting to use their online repair tracking tool, I checked daily to see if the device had advanced to status of "shipped" at their repair center. After several days there was no indication that it was received so I contacted them and asked directly. On 7/25, they requested that I provide a tracking number which I did, via both phone and their online messaging system (you can't email them directly, they communicate only through their ticketing system). I tracked the package via USPS and got proof that it had been delivered to their facilities on 7/20. They advised me "not to worry" as the repair tracking tool is frequently not updated. They assured me in a message that my case was escalated to their "especial team project (SPT3)". On 8/2, now 13 days from their receipt of my phone, I messaged them to ask about status. Their reply, which is usually delayed by at least one day, came back on 8/3 as follows: "Unfortunately, we still need to wait until the next, because we are experiencing a delay on our repair center". For the next several days, we went back and forth with me trying to get an ETA for repair of my phone and HTC sending me vague messages telling me not to worry. I did begin to worry when I realized and told them that I was going abroad at end of the following week and needed a working phone. They still could not give me any status update or cause for delay, so I told them that I would need either my phone back or a replacement by end of week. Their response included: "I would like to ask from you a bit more of your generous time to bring this event to the best results in your favor". I tried calling HTC Support in hopes of better information. Typical hold times range from 15-20 minutes. They then asked me for tracking information all over again and I was on the phone with them for 56 minutes with no one able to provide any sort of update. I asked for a supervisor, who put me on hold for several minutes, and then assured me that someone from their repair team would call within 10 minutes. No call, so I sent another message via their ticketing system that I would have take my phone back without repair if they couldn't provide any status or ETA. This time, I got a fairly quick response saying that they will return my phone sometime in next 48 hours in its current (broken) state. They updated their ticketing system to reflect that I had closed the ticket. In short, I'm ready to throw this phone out and go to Samsung or Apple, not because it's a bad device but because HTC is clearly struggling and can't keep up commitments, quality or service levels to remain competitive.

 • Hahahaha

 • Great honest review Thanks bro...

 • fake comment better camera resolution? lol camera stays 12ultra pixel battery life is great. you're just hater lying, nice try

 • Go, get some car battery I'm pretty sure you won't run out of power!

 • Pros.-Brilliant colors, better camera resolution and video. Cons.- No 3.5 mm jack. HTC removed the video editor and photo editor, they preferred to leave that work to Google wich is terrible, also they removed the htc music app that on google app your music sounds bad ugly because google app has no EQ and other features that worked better on htc music app. Has no option to download on google play. Battery has a poor performance. Screen and cell standby drain your battery quickly even if cellphone is not in use. Came with no video calls and text messaging has no any upgrade. I get a cellphone with better carcaza but hueco inside. Very disappointed. I have to admit that LG G6 that was my previous cellphone has a lot better features and battery stays a long time on daily basis and games, 3.5 mm jack, own photo & video editor and is waterproof also.

 • if you make that switch in your GPS settings nav/map app wouldn't work properly. it is possible to have brightness set to auto and have the slider in notifications too high. when you are done to 10% Battery left what app and what system has used the most power and there %? (check battery usage details) Also you should setup the boost+ app that came with the phone to optimize foreground & background apps. And activate smart boost for ram management. If you not seeing boost+ then download it from the play store. It's a HTC app.

 • It still persist. You might want to check auto sync option to your account as that might drain battery alot. If still can't find the source I suggest you do a factory reset. It might helps

 • I just switch gps, from High accuracy to gps device only. I will see tommorow does that help. Display is on auto brightness. Everything on htc u11 is superb, accept battery... And fragile design, that also minus...for me ofc!

 • Can't go wrong with either one. But as U11 is great. Maybe your decision will come down to what type of screen you want? The S8's curved display or HTC's display. Because I'm sure both will perform great.

 • Do u leave ur gps on all the time? Or display overly bright n not in auto? Thats all i coild think of that would shorten the SOT time.

 • No, i dont have games. Viber, whatsapp, uber, evernote, aliex, and amazon. Thats all. I can send a screenshot, if you want to see. Thats why is strange for me how someone have 6+ SOT

 • I have Sot around 5.5hour to 6hour per charge. If you're intensive gaming and play multimedia definately u cant get good battery life. Even my s8+ wont hit 4hr sot on intensive heavy using.

 • Most of the time those people that complain about the battery size are those who watch A LOT of YouTube videos. Even if they have a 5000mah battery inside, if u use a lot of battery consuming apps, then in the end the battery life is going to match a average user, no matter how BIG the battery is. So yeah, I feel u bro, ouch!

 • Battery life is not excellente. I have 3.5 SOT. This is not good.

 • Battery life is not excellente. I have 3.5 SOT. This is not good.

 • Why you need 3.5 mm headphone jack in 2017? If you require old 3.5 mm jack technology, You will get a USB C to 3.5 mm jack adapter in U11 box, so no worries about use of headphone with 3.5mm jack. You told about battery, Size doesn't matter optimization is the main thing. Battery is one of the strong side of U 11. You can get phone with 5000 to 6000 mAh battery but the those will provide 5-6 hour screen on time. Though the U11 used 3000mAh battery, it will will support 1.5 days easily with heavy use because U11 used SD 835 power efficient chip and HTC sence UI.

 • no jack? 3000mah batt? ouch... pity

 • if it is a 6" screen it would be the U Ultra 2 not the U 12

 • I've had mine about 2 months now and I routinely get 6 hours plus SOT time and I never struggle to get threw a day. Battery life is excellent.

 • i plan to nuy one but my concern is battery life, is it great or not

 • Having s8+, p10+ and u11. My last HTC device is m8. Since then I have not touched HTC device. But this year after it released with so many positive review. I decide to give HTC a run on my money again. No doubts ! It is easily the best phone for me this year. Speed,. Battery, interface display all far beyond my expectation. Initially skeptical about this phone before getting it. Now it is the daily driver for me. My s8+ and p10+ is now collecting dust at one corner. Don't be deceived by the 3000mah battery. The battery life can be on par with s8+ or even last longer than that. HTC good job. What to improve is maybe the resolution of the screen. Hope to see u12 with a at least 5.7inch to 6 inch screen in the future with all the state of the art hardware n software.looking forward u12 next yr.

 • It has ip67.. what you mean is not wsterproof. Get the fact right before mislead consumer

 • Htc u11 coz u r in this forum. Do ur own research coz u r the one who knows ur needs. But as an htc u11 owner, i have notjing but praise for this phone.

 • HTC U11 : + Smooth and fluid - perform like champion. + Superb camera and video. + Good battery life. + Audio quality is fantastic. - No waterproof Using this device for 2 weeks and overall i'm totally impress, 100% satisfied..

 • Absolutely easy answer go for the u11 and if you go for the oneplus 5 you will basically be a Guinea pig for them and there half finished software updates. I have had the u11 now for about 2 months and it's a excellent smartphone with excellent SOT time of 6 hours plus.

 • HTC U11 no doubt

 • Guys suggest me a phone. HTC U11 or one plus 5?

 • Been thinking about buying this phone. Dud HTC keep the gallery in this phone? Please reply

 • I having a problem in my HTC U11 its just freezing most of the time and no response for some of hours even if pressed power button continues, please help me anyone.

 • Not really huge bezels. Not really heavy. Not just avg battery life. Thank you HTC.

 • No really huge bezel. Not really that heavy. Not just avg battery life. Try harder.. Troll spotted.

 • graet of the greatest

 • Huge bezels. Nearly 6 oz weight. Average battery. No thanks.

 • True :)

 • Bought this phone a month ago. Excellent device. I love my Amazing Silver U11. Awesome display, very good battery life, outstanding camera, the best sound I ever heard from a smartphone and the fastest phone I ever had i my hands. Keeping 16:19 screen ration was also a good idea.

 • Htc u11 Bettry beckup ..and p10 plus

 • HTC for sure. Why? Because of faster chipset - better camera - better design... HTC UI is very smooth too. Sony's UI is veryyyyyyyy smooth too.

 • Plz sugest me.which one of the best phone i purchase it.lg g6 vs htc u11..plz tell me whos tha best and why

 • Same here man my iphone7 plus ,s battery is far far away better even with CSR2 GAME and whatsapp and viber , i hated my samsung S7 Edge because it,s battery too while the size and weight were perfect for me , Anyway i,ll wait few days to see if it will get better SOT for me and if not i,ll ask to replace the battery , otherwise i,ll keep it as a backup phone for my business because after all as i said i like this device .

 • No worries mate. The SOT should get better after at keast 2 weeks of use. I couod get 6 hours of SOT in mine. 90mims of Maps to n from work, mostly browsing, a bit of facebook/messenger +vids, spotifyS+Bluetooth while driving everyday AND also when at home browsing again and play spptify again connected to dlna soind system. Not as good as my xiaomi note 3 special edition but long enough battery life.

 • How men, how? I have only 3 or 3,5 SOT. I dont have facebook, instagram, etc... Only viber, whatsapp, aliex, Evernote, Uber. That's all!

 • Thanks so much man for your replay acctualy i went to the store again and they,ve tested my device they told me it is normal for the first charge ( factory charged batteries ) to do this so they kept it under testing until the battery reached 5% only because they told me if the device shutdown on this level it is a problem but it,s passed the test and now it is acceptable the battery is good not strong but not as bad as when i bought it , its my first htc device and i like its weight and dimensions , i updated the android os , everything is ok now except the brightness level control its sucks lol there is no effecting from the medium to down but it,s ok i guess its softwear issue. Other than this the u11 is a hot mobile in 2017 . Thanks again and good luck to u too

 • No FM Radio, Ni IR Blast, One SIM is 4g and sim2 is 3g

 • Battery is one of the best if not the best compared to 2017 flagship device. Boring? Well if your phone is what keeps ur life going then u r one sad soul. Btw u download stuff from google playstore or any apk from net. Or u can root ur phone and ur imagination is the limit.;) But i guess u already made up ur mind, n i dont believe for a sec u've touch or owned this device.

 • Htc made this perfect phone this year. I'm happy with it (128GB/6GB)

 • Do you even own this phone,? The U11 is a excellent smartphone with brilliant battery life and I routinely get 6 hours plus of SOT time. Boring you say,? The U11 has tons of customisation so it never gets boring. Clearly you are talking rubbish.

 • Terrible battery life and pretty boring phone to boot avoid at all costs.

 • I highly suggest to go for the U11, it's a brilliant phone.

 • what make you so sure the note 8 would be better than both? the note 7 didn't turn out to be better than the S7 or HTC 10. Don't count chickens that haven't yet hatched. :)

 • no FM radio.

 • Neither. Wait for note 8 and the pixel phone

 • I need upgrade from my lg g5.. Which one is better HTC u11 or p10 plus.. ?? Can any one tell me

 • Does this has radio?

 • S8 or u11

 • Im not sure if this helps, ensure gps is turned off and if not using the wifi. Also try resetting the phone. If still persisting, try hard resetting the phone, you can google how to do this. When you want to do this, make sure you read the instructions carefully. Good luck.

 • Thanks.

 • The Chinese version and some others come with dual sim functionality activated. The USA model and some other areas come single sim & memory card support only. You also have to check the LTE bands support as all versions don't have the same LTE bands support.

 • should I buy 3T now or wait some time ( like one month ) for the price of oneplus 5 or HTC U11 to drop ???

 • Please guys what's the difference of the chinese version of the U11 with the others? Is it of inferior quality?

 • It's available dude....just go to HTC India site... and order. Simple

 • hey guys please i need some help ,, yesterday i got my new HTC U11 and it is draining battery so fast such as more than 10% during one hour in standby mode and in case you used WIFI or youtube it will drop down faster .. you can see the battery percentage dropping one or two points down each 2 or three minutes . so is it normal for this device or what ? anyone facing same battery issues ?

 • P10 Plus, it has headphone jack

 • Follow HTC India page in facebook and send massage to HTC in facebook messenger after they will be connected with you and give details of store according to your city where HTC u11 is available

 • Why htc u11 is not yet available in India, does anyone have answer for this.

 • 1. HTC 2. On par but i pref HTC over highly themed for longer life 3 HTC 4 Huawei have much better battery overall

 • I need a recommendation: Between P10 Plus Vs HTC 11, What do you recommend, given the following order of priorities: 1. Better still camera highest priority! 2. Lack of random bugs and flawless and smooth operation (IOW, software stability) 3. Quality of the display, when reading text mixed with pics. 4. Life of the battery under normal day use of operation (lowest priority). Thanks for any justified advice. Naftali

 • Does the Unlocked US units also come with Dual SIM support or 1 SIM + SD card only?

 • At least it is cool that HTC knows that and they have that tool

 • well, I am one of a group of people that do care. and that is what the HTC THEMES MAKER PRO web site if for. you should check it out even if you don't have an HTC. the clock and sounds are just 2 of many things you can make custom designs for.

 • U should know that normally people would NOT care for those icons because it is linked to the HTC SENSE HOME launcher. It is just a minor thing, just don't care. Because overall the icons are great even though I am using XPERIA XZ, but I kind of like HTC for their solid phones

 • Bujasem If you don't like anything about you HTC Theme, then put your artistic skills to work and make your own theme. HTC makes it really simple with the HTC THEMES "MAKER PRO" web page. upload your own PNG images for a clock style that you want. something that is more 2017 to you. Every aspect of your theme can be made there and sent to your phone after. or you can even have it added to the public theme library once you didn't pirate other people's art/audio work hope to see your name on a design in the future when I'm browsing themes see link below or

 • If you use 2 sim cards then you can not put an SD Card. This is correct.

 • Why do you really care about the Alarm and Clock?

 • Yup. I am using 2 simcard at the same time, and i have 6gb ram version no worries.

 • Just saw the solar red on a youtube video and man that color looks awesome, really good job from HTC.

 • I had the phone since 1 month, best cam, battery, sound, performance found excellent but (( the clock and alarm found very old design like HTC one which made in 2014. All in all best phone in 2017 in my opinion and with above facts.

 • Does it mean if you use the dual sim, no sd card?

 • Oooooh look at the bezzels on that bad boy

 • I have my u11 for a month now. Before getting this phone i was ready to dip in iphone since i just want stable ui, best cam, excellent sound. I have been waiting for the iphone 8 to come out, so been dropping by to apple store a few times. Evrytime i played with iphone7 plus, it felt sluggish. Back then i was using my redmi note 3 and uts way snappy than iphone. And u11 arrived and the rest is history.

 • Im telling you mate, its dual sim syand by.

 • Definitely agree with you.. LoVe the U11 in Solar Red. :)

 • U11 has beaten s8 in ease in multitasking, gaming performance, speed test, graphics. S8 has better design, less bezels.

 • I love it.... It's awesome

 • Your screen has most likely been scratched by a small grain of sand in your pocket or wherever and sure it might be gorilla glass 5 but that doesn't stop those small particles in your pocket ruining it. You are far better using a case and a tempered glass screen protector for it because otherwise it will get scratches even in your pocket.

 • can u pls tell me its dual sim dual active or dual sim dual standby

 • It's Gorilla Glass 5 in U11's display and the back is Gorilla Glass 3 as I recall. If your device have scratches on the display, definitely it must have been something much sharper than keys or coins. Basically keys or coins has no effect on its glass front. Check Jerry Rig Everything channel in YouTube if you're interested. It has the scratch test in detail along with flame and bend tests.

 • I totally agree with u and thats the reason for me to keep u11. It has same battery life as s8plus and no lag at all cheers mate!

 • I regularly get 6 hours plus SOT time so you is wrong there for sure. The U11 has excellent battery life.

 • This isn't small unless u might wanna try those crappy ASUS ones with a hell out of a 5000mah battery?

 • U can say that the lighter the software the faster the phone will be. Which applies to HTC and Sony, their software optimization is overall better than Samsung's one because of how heavy the Samsung UI is in my opinion. Don't get mad for those Samsung users that see this, I like Samsung too and this is just my opinion

 • The HTC U11 is a return to the top of the market. The performance is superb, quick, good battery, great camera and looks fantastic. Edge is getting better and better and I love one squeeze to open the camera and another to take a photo, so quick and great in the rain and under water. I think it is very difficult to meet everyones expectations or personal preference when it comes to UI. I tried the S8, P10, Sony and One+ but can honestly say the U11 is overall better than them all. I believe HTC has gone the right way in removing the bloatware and duplicate apps, save money, use Google. Its a tough market especially as only Apple and Samsung make money from smartphones sales and the differences between Asia, Europe and the US.

 • I own blue sapphire U11. It's an amazing phone. Camera, sound, performace all are excellent. But i feel pissed off by the fact that the display got scratches now. It's protected by gorilla glass 5 right? how come it got scratches while I only put this phone on my pocket or bag without keys or coins with it.

 • This has to be the best phone for 2017, I used s8 plus for two months got no complaints with it but the touch wiz experience on galaxy phones ruin it. It will start to lag and stutter no matter what u do. I also have xperia xz premium and I can say that u11 and xz premium beats samsung when it comes to useability. U11 camera is amazing getting 6hrs SOT regularly after unplugging the charger over a 24hr period. build quality also amazing. I have decided to keep both xz premium and u11. both these phones are neck and neck to each other.

 • There is a gallery app (Google Photos). It is there over the traditional gallery application because HTC is trying to remove all the annoying bloatware apps. Regarding your claim that the camera of the U11 is nowhere near the M8, the U11 camera has a higher resolution (4MP vs 12 MP) , aperture (f/2.0 vs f/1.7, faster focus time, OIS, 4K recording and very good low light capabilities. I have no idea how you compare the M8 and the U11 in the camera department and claim M8 is the winner by any means.

 • The small battery spoils it!

 • Bogus. This is the coolest phone of 2017. I am using this since 1 month.

 • Yes it is . Its even have better camera then the iPhone. And much faster.

 • do you see any difference in terms of performance between iphone and htc u 11? Is iphone really more fluid(smoother)and faster?

 • It's a really shame to see a really good with something new at least but with no old damn 3.5mm jack.

 • I don't know how reliable is onlymobiles.com, but they have solar red version available on their website

 • How can it get so hot when it is using the latest and greatest (currently) SNAPDRAGON 835 which boost in efficiency and performance with lesser heating compared to the SNAPDRAGON 820/821? LMAO

 • in Android all apps have their independent settings for customisation, including notifications. if you want to turn off vibrate for SMS, you have to go to the sms app>tap on the 3 dots in the top right corner>tap on settings>tap on notifications> from there you will see the Vibrate check box for that app around other notification settings for that app. as some one that is new to Android, you should also install the "HTC File Manager" from the play store. you can now use the file manager to make a "notification" folder on the root of the internal storage and store mp3 files in there that you would like to use as custom notification sounds for individual apps

 • U can go into settings and type Vibration Strength... I got it on my android phone.

 • This thing get so hot.

 • It should be...Red color with 6GB variant has been launched in a couple of markets such as Dubai...I am too eagerly waiting for it

 • Just changed from an iPhone to the HTC U11 and love the phone but have a couple of questions. Anyway to disable vibration for text notifications. Also is it possible to increase the strength and length of the vibrate as I find it weak and short and I'm missing texts when the phone is in my pocket.

 • Will the Solar Red version be available in India?

 • I like my tech hence all the phones I have bought plus I get bored of them sometimes after a few months and then I get something else. The longest I have had a phone is probably about a year if that.

 • You must spend all your time buying mobile phones. Not only every HTC but also every LG as well as others not listed. Are you serious?

 • I routinely can get 6 hours plus SOT and I have screen brightness set to 75% and htc boost+ handles the apps in the background but other than that I use the phone how it should be. I don't exaggerate this and I know there are people who visit here to decide whether to buy this phone and I give my absolute honest opinion regarding it. I have had the htc one m7,m8,m9,htc10 and now the u11 and also lg g3,g4,g5,v10 plus some other phones to and I have always gave my honest opinion on each one and if this phone was garbage I would say but it's one of the best htc phones I have ever had.

 • Lol FM, You made my day ... Hahahahaha

 • Excellent HTC. You are always making your users proud

 • That's true I have two mind when I was thinking to buy s8 or u11 but I have previous experience with Sam s6 and s7 so I choose u11 and it's definitely gem in all Android 📱

 • 6hours of SOT? Sorry but i find it hard to believe. Can u share ur settings?

 • i have used m8 for nearly 3 years and did not see any lag on it whatsoever also every phone starts to show age and slow down a little in 2 years time depending upon the usage and as far as quality is concerned htc has always been known for superior build quality as well as software and ui which does not lag and is far better than Samsung's ui which has terrible optimization. Go for it you will not be disappointed I myself used s8 for 2 months before changing to u11 and have been very satisfied.

 • There is no Google Drive bonus for U11 (at least in EMEA/Unlocked) :( I feel weak its battery time, but I love it :)

 • I have been using this phone since last 3 weeks now, i took a big risk from shifting to HTC from Samsung S8 plus, i always had this impression, that samsung s8 plus was the camera phone, leave aside the DXo and all, however, to my surprise, this phone has better camera than s8+, infact even the performance is much better than s8 plus, the daylight pics are crisp, deep details and the colour production is just close to perfection. never witnessed any hanging issue, despite downloading almost 125 apps, out of which 18 heavy duty games, overall the risk is been paid off, HTC finally has produced a gem at the really good price, except the edge sense, which isnt upto the mark, there are no CONS i have witnessed in this phone

 • You can try using a car battery

 • I have had this phone more than a month now and I get 6 hours plus SOT time and I am a heavy user and I never struggle to get threw a day. Buy the phone and try it before saying stupid things.

 • and your phone came with no play store too, so you couldn't download one?

 • Well I guess it is your choice. In the end all flagships are actually the same, its just people's point of view which flagship they want. The only difference in these flagships is the features they have on them. Yes I love XPERIA XZ PREMIUM too because I am like Sony after I bought a phone from them 4 years ago. But there is one con with the XPERIA XZ PREMIUM, though. There is a slight weird issue where they have a decent battery but drains more than other flagships like this HTC U11. If u care more for the camera go for HTC U11. If u like the display and slightly better performance get XPERIA XZ PREMIUM

 • I have this phone for 3weeks now. Battery is not bad but not as good as my xiaomi redmi nite 3 snapdragon version. I dont get why flagship phones dont have killer battery life the fact that consumers paid top dollars for it and the fact that its a flagship. Battery for me is the number one criteria, but camera, soc, audio and os of this phone are just too much and hard to pass on. Atm there is no better in the market and i needed anew phone as im tired of my xiaomi's rare stuttering and screen turns off after calls. I really hope that flagships will have twice as much SOT next year compare to the one u11 has atm. Btw my first choice was sonu xperia xz premium but hesitated due to this one has better battery camera and audio.

 • Why do u need such big battery? Current flagships don't even need big battery because of their much more efficient chipsets than the past years. They can last u a day of use. Why complain when u can have a full day or more of battery life lmao

 • Battery size is not matter. Matter is that how you optimize this and what type of chip set you used. SD 835 is power efficient chip set and manufactured in 10-nanometer design which consume 25% less power than SD820. That's why U11 has nice battery back up...

 • this phone has no gallery. it makes it so boring plus the camera is no where compared to the M8.

 • 3000 battery is a joke. Sold my S7 edge because of that

 • It's not your m8 problem but it will be start lag because some of the new game or app needs latest hardware and software api so don't worry about it

 • If HTC Starts lagging, the other phones starts Dyeing. Take my word Bro

 • Great phone with close to no duplicate/bloat apps. Screen to me is still a little less to be desired when compared to S8 AMoled and a bit larger in footprint. Obtained >170k Antutu benchmark placing it almost = to iPhone7. Also obtained > 700MBps read speed (in Androbench 5.0) which should place the internal storage as the latest UFS2.1. Superb, very fast inc. finger print unlocking, doesn't heat up, great BOOM sound, Bright Fancy Camera - Bravo HTC.

 • If you not satisfy about the quality of HTC phone, no phone in this world which can satisfied you. Because, In terms of build quality HTC is the number one in the smartphone world...

 • My HTC M8 start lagging because i played hard games and that happened after 22 months since i bought it. Scale "1 to 10" M8 has at least 9 points... great phone for every assignment. :)

 • I have used an HTC ONE MAX for just over 3 years and didn't see any slow down till after 2 years. and that was fixed by wiping the cache partition from the boot loader & doing a factory reset. The Samsung SIII I used before that slowed down every few mounts and I just got fed-up of resetting so I d changed to the ONE MAX. this phone isn't even 3mounts old, so no one can tell you if it will have time-related lag problems now.

 • am using htc since 6 year, great phones never need to repair.

 • Hello. I want to buy a u11 but I had a few concerns about it. Two of my friends had htc one m8 and both phones started to lag in a year. So if there's anyone who has had a htc flagship for 1.5-2 years, please help me a little.

 • Hello. I just want to purchase a new u11 , but I have some concerns about the quality of htc phones. Two of my friends had htc one m8 and both phones started to lag within a year. So if anyone who has had htc flagship for like 1.5-2 years or so, please help me a little.

 • OMG! The camera is super sharp, details is amazing.. The boomsound speaker setup is great, and connecting the device to JBL Charge 3 sounds great too.. I'm totally satisfied..

 • I don't think he is lying.... Because i own phone and it's really best in every single department.... Sound capability matched by none till date.... Manual camera controls equals to a dslr.... And no.... No other quality or performance issue.... Because v20 didn't had bootloop issue...

 • we want high end display with Quantum dots (QD). I wish htc will try it.

 • don't say lie man, in turkey lg is very suck phone manufacturer, all the phone has hot some problem, during lg g3 released to now all the phone is problematic.

 • Yes I meant current flagships and v20 is a beast of a phone.

 • Get 128gb model then...it cost more as almost a 128 gb sd card will ..

 • U mean current flagships.....bcoz lg v20 had it all... With removable battery... Don't misunderstand me... One of the htc fan.... Will by u11 in future for sure... But recently bought v20 and can't afford another expansive one...so enjoying it....

 • Is it really a Hybrid Dual SIM support?

 • u11 is way faster then s8 and high in all standards like camera sound battery

 • Futuristic feature, do you mean your phone can fly! Go see a shrink!

 • its hybrid slot all flagship dual sim phones use it

 • at the cost this is far superior to s8 and comparable in ui performance to op5 and mi 6(no/late android updates) does not even come close and cannot be compared to u11 and as far as display is concerned oldest display really are you stupid u11 has a qhd slcd 5 display which is vivid and colour accurate comparable to s8 amoled panel and futuristic features try using edge sense once and then you will realize a feature that is futuristic and practical. Don't hate a phone and brand just for your own stupidity and if you don't have the money go buy crap mi 6.

 • please go see a doctor and have your eyes checked

 • faster than iPhone 7 and s8 also battery life is much better with moderate to semi high usage I get at least 5-6 hrs of screen on time and easily lasts through the day

 • Use U11 for 1 week, no problem yet.. This phone is blazing fast, superb in every way it should be. Camera, battery life, loading app and coolness is amazing. I love this device. No regret at all' great investment by trade-in my older Galaxy S7E for this beast.

 • Any way of increasing notification vibrate strength.

 • this is the worst phone ever , has the oldest display and just no futuristic features, and in this cost MI is much better to have in low cost and features are too good

 • I dont S8, but i know my HTC U11 is faster than a train. How do I know this you may ask, well my wife has s7 edge and she catches the train to and from work every day and I am able to reach y wife before she arrives home. dunno about faster than a bullet though.

 • Read - All of it: And some like Huawei even add a 3rd year for their top models e.g. Mate 9, P10 a.s.o. All other big players Samsung, Apple, Sony ++ do follow EU rules without any arguments. HTC refuses always to go by law and sticks to their own implemented 12 month guarantee. And who would start a court process which you win for sure but lasting years, taking your energy and time ? So what is a "good" company to buy from ? Judge yourself.

 • 2 years, really?

 • Would Not buy ANY HTC with only one year warranty. Period. They don't follow EU law which describes a legal 2 year warranty.

 • dual sim model uses the same slot with micro sd - idiotic idea!

 • Faster!!!!! Really???

 • The HTC U11 is super fast anyways, regardless of ram amount. It is together with the OnePlus 5 the smoothest android phone.

 • You do know the 6gb ram model is sold in very few countries? Most places are getting the 4gb Ram version.

 • Which is better?? Htc 11 or s8 plus as iam owning s8 plus but also thinking of u11 as 6 ram i think will be faster!

 • Htc phones is best but htc hardware is not good..i say to htc ..please phone hardware..prepare

 • P10 is that a phone ? Haha

 • Been using the htc u11 for virtually a month now and it's a very impressive smartphone phone and I thought I'd post my experience for those who are maybe considering it and say the pros and cons of it but this phone is no where bein rubbish,it's excellent. Pros.... 1,The battery life is excellent and I routinely get 5 hours plus screen on time and I am a heavy user but I never struggle to get threw a day. 2,The screen is clear and is easily visible even in direct sunlight and I have mine set to auto brightness with the maximum level set at half way. 3,The sound from the speakers listening to music is awesome and clear and also watching movies for example on YouTube is very good indeed and call quality is clear and loud to be fair and people can hear me perfectly on there side also with no difficulty. 4,Build quality is simple excellent but I keep my u11 in a spigen rugged armour case with a tempered glass screen protector also but I admit I do worry about dropping it and I am more careful than I would have been with a htc aluminium build phone. 5,Blue tooth range is excellent because I have mine tethered to a Samsung gear S3 and it never drops off no matter where I am in the house and WiFi range is just as good also with no drops or problems at all. 6,The phone never slows down no matter how much I push it and it doesn't really heat up much either to be fair but it's fast as hell and I do love the customisation options also that the sense engine provides. 7,The squeeze action is very useful and I use mine for taking pics when I need to and it's just a very cool thing to have and I like that my phone has something unique to it. Right,Cons... 1,I wish I could replace the battery like my G5 and I wish the u11 had a always on display also. Cons wise that's all I can think of to be fair with this phone and other than the above thing I just said I find the u11 to me is simply perfect and I think this is gona be my daily driver for a very long time indeed.

 • U said only one good thing but u mention a few. Lol U r never hoing to be fan in the first place, so why bother commenting? Troll.

 • Yeah you're right. But i want this phone. I've not used HTC android phone.

 • Anybody got the Solar Red yet? Does it look as good in real life as in the photos?

 • True, also Alexa is not available in one I got from UAE market.

 • I got one of those tempered glass protecters that don't completely cover all of the screen but leave a slight edge all way round which isn't protected, got it off amazon and it's good enough to be fair

 • Yes u11 might have a big chunk of bezels and I would prefer some bezels there over my broken s8 , the corner simply hit the ground and it's totally broken , most of all it's simply hard to grab the phone with almost no bezels

 • Maaal amazing... Screen quality is average. Design as usual. Only one thing to praise and that is smooth SENSE UI and CAMERA as well as SOUND QUALITY. That's it. As per price point.. The deal is good not best. Pls dont forget its a large fatty phone. Hv fun

 • Guys.. Don't buy HTC U11 global version as HTC stopped supporting their flagship global version recently. You will get major software update once in a year but won't get any security update. That's for sure. Their US version will get timely software and security update. If you want to get timely software support, buy the US version. HTC is already sinking day by day. Surviving through US market. So buy the US region product.

 • Which type worked for you?

 • I think absolutely it is necessary and a case is necessary also and why would you use a expensive phone without a tempered glass and case, that would be in my view absolutely idiotic but that's just me. I have a tempered glass screen protector on my htc u11 and also a spigen rugged armour case and I wouldn't dream of taking my phone outside without a case and protecter on it. It cost a lot of money why would you not try to protect your expensive phone.

 • necessary? no, it is not. if your phone falls on rough concrete or the road that glass will break but the phone will still work. so don't get one if you know that will never happen. and if it happens, you can alway pay to fix it, so it is still "not necessary" just recommended (along with a case too) :-)

 • just launch the Google Drive app which is pre-installed on the phone and it will guide you through

 • Seriously, Amazing Silver HTC U11 is amazingly good looking.

 • Is Tempered Glass Screen Protector necessary for the U11?

 • funny answer

 • Because it's amazing.

 • Love p10... Love Huawei

 • What kind of users??! Speak for yourself!

 • I consistently get about 16-18 hours on battery with about 5.30-6 hours of Screen on Time. Battery capacity isn't everything. Software optimisation is really important and HTC does that really well

 • The battery life of my 1st 3days usage was at an average of 10% per hour WITHOUT GAMING but full time location ON and step count apps in active use. Same battery life as my M9+, so feeling abit disappointed. It surprised me when U11 automatically optimising the battery use on each active apps, the battery life is now lasting 24hrs ++. U11 impress me now, love it.

 • True... Its a great comeback for HTC :)

 • I bought Brilliant Black, and still wish I went with Amazing Silver. Only reason why I went with black is because I thought I'd be over the wow factor of the Amazing Silver and be wishing I had a black, more business appropriate phone 6 months down the line. Black still looks good. But that mirror finish probably looks so much better with the Silver/Light Blue.

 • Today manage to hold u11, in term design u play is more beuatiful than u11, others than than u11 is superior.bezel size should be no problem. Just dont like back design. Current is using htc 10. If not already buy u play today..

 • Why?

 • Amazing silver!

 • Good luck too!

 • Amazing Silver or Brilliant black?

 • After using HTC One M7, One M8, One M9+, this year ditched HTC and ended up with a Huawei P10 Plus. Main reason is because U11 looks like my granny's phone. It looks like a phone from 2014. HTC still don't understand market trends. Users want bleeding edge phones. Good luck HTC.

 • Where did you buy this phone ? Offline store or HTC E-Store in India ?

 • I just bought this from today I have to say my decision it's correct it's a wonderful phone

 • Is this handset available in India

 • This phone is tempting me

 • sont you have other things to do in life except playing games? then get play station or xbox

 • Open google drive from the app draw. Tap the top/left menu. Tap upgrade storage. In there you will most likely see that the HTC 1 year promotion is already activated. If it is not, scroll down, find it, and activate.

 • The squeeze can be used to take pictures under water. It is not a capacitive function.

 • I have a htc u11 and it last all day with no problems at all,5 hours plus screen on time with no difficulty at all.

 • I don't know how the battery performs in real life but 3000mah seems a poor, poor one...

 • How can I redeem 100GB of Google Drive storage? Thanks.

 • Can anyone please tell me about its battery life and is it compatible for taking pictures underwater?

 • its awesome to take picture by squeze while swiming.

 • The htc u11 is a excellent smartphone and its definitely a S8 killer I think and I really enjoy using my u11 every day for sure. HTC have done it this year with a successful phone :)

 • U11 in Solar Red is definitely a gorgeous looking phone of all times... Love this phone. Man that Edge Sense and Acoustic Focus feature is very astonishing. Looks like Htc got me this year as well ;)

 • I got the same update also but I haven't had any problems but battery life does seem better now I think.

 • Can we please have the U11 hardware in a smaller size like the M9 with the stereo speakers and the IR , i would love phone like that !

 • Me to received my pre-booking U11. Later while i was wearing my polarized RayBan, i notice that the QHD LCD blackout 100% when you keep the phone on landscape with navigation or movies. I bought this flagship and now disappointed after spending so much of money. Even a low budget phone dose not do this.

 • I am having the same issue with MY U11, specially in the messages and the phone app while scrolling, I see horizontal lines that follow the text while scrolling. Are other people facing the same issue as well??? Is it a general issue or a specific piece problem.

 • Received my pre-order set this morning. Love U11 so much. Feel no regret to upgrade from One M9+ to U11. However there is only one thing (on hardware) make me feel worry, the volume bar. Feel very tight when pressing it. Worry it may not work soon. Hope it wont happen.

 • I don't know what is wrong going on with htc because in hear Ahmedabad no one can sell htc u11 and the reason is we are closed the sell htc smartphone

 • Can we please have the U11 hardware in a smaller size like the M9 with the stereo speakers and the IR , i would love phone like that !

 • An update has just arrived today, it is an 300mb for bug fixes, however the update has corrupted 2 sim from STC (Saudi Telecom company), I don't know why or how, although other companies SIM still working. The 2 STC were just working fine, once inserted they have turned dead, even when re insterted in other phone they still dead, really I am pissed off

 • if you are seeing horizontal lines that is a sign of a faulty LCD or a short in the connection to the motherboard. it will only get worse with time. you should get your phone changed before it becomes unusable. and if you are dealing with HTC direct for the replacement or repair you should get it started fast, as RMA department take forever to get things done.

 • Every now and again I get very faint horizontal lines equally spaced throughout my display. Is this an issue with LCD5 in general? An issue others are seeing on their U11? Or did I just get unlucky and get a bad device? I hasn't been enough to bother me, but definitely concerning me that it may be a more serious issue in the future...

 • you should think about what you are saying a little more so you can say what you mean. Bluetooth version or radio don't affect usable range and transfer speed? would you be ok with using Bluetooth earphone in a call and it is cutting out with the phone in your pocket? (that is not a performance issue?) 2 different batteries and one gets hotter, faster than the next cause the CPU & GPU throttling in your eyes is not affecting performance? tell iphone 4 and Note 7 that body design never affected performance. as for your screen comment, it is true but i would take a 50" 1080p monitor over a 24" 4K monitor any day. Just as i would take a 5.7" display over a 5.5" display any day, that has the same rez. which brings it right back to the original point of.... people that got the Ultra for the screen and performance are not missing anything by no having the U11 because you are getting the performance with your preferred screen size. so the people that say 1 is crap but the other is great are hypocrites

 • No they are not. Depending on Reagan, The default supported languages differ. The AGPS data is also different. And the cellular radio is different. They also will not get updates the same time. And the dual sim function don't work in the USA model even though the cutout is there for the second sim in the memory portion of the tray.

 • Ram and internal storage are the same on both phones. So your statement of Better spec "all" around is still not correct. And that's what I have a problem with. Your deliberate attempts to mislead readers with faults information. Say exactly what you mean without leaving it up to interpretation of the reader, then maybe I won't see the need to correct you. And just give you a thumbs up. As for screen size. This is my opinion. On a 50" TV 0.2" extra on the diagonal will not be noticed. But on a 5" - 6" screen getting 0.2" extra on the diagonal at the same aspect ratio is a very big noticeable deal. Some people will say it's too big for comfort and not buy it. I & others going to find the portrait keyboard a lot less cramp for long typing sessions. And better for split screen use in landscape.

 • Are all the HTC U11 Dual SIM version for all countries the same in terms of Spec, software and radio frequency? Wondering from which country to get mine

 • If you just reply to me to be a smartass, well enough said. First of all, if for you 5.7 is big screen and 5.5 is small screen.. Second, when I said better specs, I was refering to those specs that really are important and make a difference in performance, like processor + graphic power, ram and internal storage (128GB/6GB version), which are better on U11. Not to mention the IP certification which for me is important. Bluetooth version, resolution of screen, battery size, wi-fi version, camera hardware, body design, gorilla glass, are not specs to influence performance. And just for the fun of it, talking about resolution, same resolution is better on 5.5" than 5.7" Prostule :))

 • u11 had heighest specifications awesome design, sound faster than s8,g6 batter display and camera than one plus 5.

 • Do you know what "better spec all around" means or are you just regurgitating something you read somewhere? 1. Same body design. 2. Same gorilla glass 5 3. Same SUPER LCD5 but the Ultra has 2 & the main is bigger. 4. Same resolution 5. Same RAM. 6. Same Storage speed & size. 7. Same ear buds in the box. (check accessories on HTC web site) 8. Same boom sound. 9.camera hardware 90% same. 10. Same 4 mics. 11. Same UI. 12. Same USB-C version 13. Same Bluetooth version. 14. Same Wi-Fi &cellular radio. 15. Same battery size. They are like a variation for people that like big screen or smaller screens. Not a all around better like you would like to believe.

 • I don't feel any how. I bought the U Ultra for the screen size, HTC UI & performance. HTC don't pay much attention to the people that like big screen phones, so when they do make one and it has a second screen too, that's great. I was holding on to my HTC One Max before because the screen on the M8, M9 & 10 would of been a major down grade for me. The squeeze is nice but I don't need to have it. The water resistants is nice but not a deal breaker. They look the same. And for the apps I use I'm sure they perform the same. I even watched J. Williams camera blind test on YouTube and without knowing which of the 4 cameras was the U Ultra, I picked the U Ultra as my first choice. So don't believe the people that slammed the Ultra but love the U11, they are hypocrites. The Ultra was only slammed because it came out before the S8 and some people had an agenda.

 • Finally got my spigen rugged armour case this morning for my u11 and it's a excellent case for sure and it offers lots of protection for my phone and the cut outs are perfect for all the microphones and charging port to and the back has also has a slightly rough textured feel for grip. I highly recommend it if you is considering it for your u11 and it looks the business also, very nice.

 • Can anyone tell how good is the data usage on the phone. That is a big issue with everything revolving around data and usage power.
