Since 2012 it has been working until Feb.2019 Now, it just shows a steady and solid logo of Huawei. Returning to factory-reset and clear partition have not helped me. Totally while it was alive. it was working nicely with compatible APKs. Not with all !! Any ideas about solution or remedy?

600 gang we out here 4.5 years still going strong its all around a FINE phone if you are willing to expend some boujee luxuries like good camera and screen and shit, but even at that this phone was based at release. i have dropped this phone and got it wet an uncountable amount of times and still runs hard okay thanks

The G600 (U8950N-51) has one particular issue. It is designed for the US market and so only has just one English language/region selection being English (United States). So the phone also defaults to US region settings. To get around this download and install an app called "Language Enabler" which will allow you to select from every major English speaking region/country. It also extends the selections for other languages! Works on almost any Android phone.

This G600 is crap. 7 mths old and gps only works when it decides not when you want it. Weather not updating at set periods(gps again). Doesn't tell you when sms is not sent ect; In short this phone stinks & Huawei do not reply to complaint!!!

Actually this is one of the best cellphones you can buy , you cant turn off the camera sound because we would not want to be shooting unwanted pictures so obviously thats meant to make you a good girl/boy:D

Few of the modern mobiles won't let you turn the sound on your camera off due to privacy reasons. I read somewhere that they have to make sound so you can't take sneaky pictures where you aren't allowed. The best way to do it if you really don't want sound is to go through a downloadable app other wise get used to it since it is going to be standard soon :)

Hello, I say Huawei Ascend G600 is an average smartphone.I don't have these problems that you guys do have. Everything that has come up ince I bought this (6months ago) have been these. The phone heats up pretty quickly, it lags sometimes, and restarts itself about once in a week. I don't think these are so big or bad problems. There is no phone that would be perfect. Attention! This is just my own opinion about this subject.

Hi guy nice words. Settings given in a mobile is to make u r mobile to work according to ur choice,not to set/reset everytime. The keyboard settings...never changes. Touch screen is not functioning at the centre. Had sent for service...waiting for the device. I think you have to learn how to use this mobile before giving such complain. 1. Keyboard can be altered. Upon using the keyboard, small icon at the top of screen appears, pull it out, and there you go, u have an option to choose. 2. Youtube have an option to to HQ/CC. try to find it. if it is in high quality mode, the HQ letter glows, and if you like to watch in ordinary mode, touch the HQ letter to un-glow. Man, play around the option before u complain here!!!!!! 3. What do you mean the screen is ganged???? correct your english man.. 4. I never experience such thing that touch screen is not responsive. Good for the price. Still not on par with the main flagship's but very useable. Only negative things are Body feels a bit cheap. No jelly bean yet. Audio output via headphones is poor Lock button doesn't seem to well made It does drain battery if you use maps or GPS. Quick fix is to disable Google location services literally halves battery usage while navigating. I paid $100 aud used but brand new. For that price its sensational.

I bought this mobile 5 days ago , Very bad experience , After two days it started rebooting randomly , I Reset soft & hard but problem was same then I went to Huawei Service Center they also hard rest it & said to use it for 24 hours but it restarted 6 times in 24 hours.Today I go there and they took it for warranty and give me time for 2 weeks. I observed it get hot after 3 to 4 hours , if you use Hotspot connection for your other device it makes your mobile very hot . Wifi , GPS , Auto Rotation ,Hotspot , Data usage kills battery very fast. Anyone who is going to buy this mobile please ensure these things otherwise it makes headache for you.

Unit recommendations are important he wasn't trolling... Any feedback is good feedback it allows for bug fixes to be done. My father is asking me to check this phone. 1 person said it is comparable to the s2. Android software is usually reliable. If a phone reboots what ever brand consolidate with the people you bought it off. If from new this is an issue demand a new replacement and set it up in store. If within 14 days of use any issues get a refund and get another phone. It may just be the provider. To the person asking about travelling overseas usage. May be provider with no int roam, if in america differant voltages/amps then anywhere else. Tell them to check with a phone shop if not go into the.place you bought it and give them as much info as you have asking for a result. I suggest your daughter gets a new cheap phone prepaid with roam and no power issues i.e. Proper adapter to charge. Hope this helps

I have a problem on the recognition of incomming Calls and messages! If I save the contact with country code (Ex.: Brazil "+55") it does note reconize incomming calls, and if I save without it, it does not recongize messages. That sucks!

@Andy, Good day to you! I have also same unit, Huawei Ascend G600 and i have tried OTG cable on it, but unlucky did not work at all. Seems our unit cannot support it. I bought USB OTG Cable here in Saudi Arabia, it is generic only and cheap, 19 saudi riyals. Anyway, I used it in my Xperia Sola and it work flawlessly. ^_^

You have to change the default storage to sd card before you can install apps on sd card. Go to settings menu->Storage select the default storage location and select SD card instead of inetrnal memory.

That's no longer a problem. I installed the newest version of MX player and ARMv7 codecs (released 2 days ago) and baaaam! It now plays every single 720p video smoothly. In fact I've been watching Top Gear's 720p .mkv episodes all day without any drama. Haven't tried any 1080p yet but even if doesn't play 1080p it's cool cause I don't need more than 720p really.

My main Disappointment about the 8MP BSI Camera - dont know what is exactly does but the quality is not good(5 MP i guess) .. Tried even third party apps like FXcamera and MX camera.. not getting satisfied with the results tried taking pics in the dark - no good lighting thru dual flash when compared to A110. I am facing a software related issue in Huawei G600. I have just migrated from Huawei G300 to Huawei G600 smartphone. I got all the contacts from google account backup and restore facility when i switched from G300 to G600. But now i am facing a very strange problem that in-spite of all contacts successfully downloaded and visible in my phonebook but when a person calls me the number is displayed in place of the contact name, the same is happening in case on incoming SMS. I tried to get into the cause of the issue and got to know that the number in the phonebook are stored as "09812345678" or "9812345678" and the number displayed in incoming calls and SMS is with a prefix (+91) "+919812345678". There is a serious issue / bug in the contacts handling of G600 wherein it is treating both the numbers as different. I have raised a complaint at Huawei "Support" section at waiting for a reply / resolution. After 1 day of usage i have noticed this bug otherwise every thing seems fine. Also this phone comes with "Qualcomm MSM8225 chipset with Cortex A5 processor" not with "Qualcomm MSM8260 chipset with Cortex A9 processor" as quoted by some websites.

this is an excellent phone. I'm using it for a month so far with no problems at all. I can get three to four days of medium usage in a single battery charge and the phone speakers are really LOUD !!!!. The screen is very sufficient and responsive and has a very bright colors. There's nothing perfect, The phone user storage space is only 1 GB, but this is what you pay for (799 SR in Saudi Arabia almost 220 US$). The 1 GB is enough to use the basic programs you may need (Facebook, Tweeter & Chrome are preloaded on the phone). There's one other thing that bothers me about this phone: the silent mode has two options Silent and vibrate. I have to choose Vibrate manually every time I turn the phone into silent from the settings menu or by pressing the volume rocker up. This is annoying to me 'cuase some times I turn the phone silent and put it in my pocket and when I check the phone after a while I find some missed calls. I do not know if this is related to ICS 4 or Huawei?? . If these two little things are not so important to you , go and buy your self one of those phones.

I got this phone delivered on 25th of Jan by flipkart.Overall a good phone for the given price.The screen in clear and crisp but also a fingerprint magnet.Dont know where ill be able to get a screen protector from. What i really liked in the phone is the audio output through the speakers however the headphone offered along with this is just average. It also have got good built and there are no creaks heard.But personally i would have preferred the black one but is not yet available in india. Another thing that came to my notice is that there is no nfc support on the indian version. And atlast talking about the battery,it gives an average perfomance and will last for a day before needing another recharge.

I bought it 4 days ago. Well, the android experience itself is butter smooth. The IPS screen is really bright and sometimes I find it even a bit too bright for my eye at full brightness. Colors are super vivid. Almost a gig's worth of space for apps (although it is said to have 4gigs). Gaming is averageat best. The GPU here seems to be something like a single core mali400. But rest assured, there is no lag whatsoever. (Temple run, bang bang racing, zombie highway, and a few more tested). Unfortunately the camera records only 480p videos. Aside from that, this thing is really worth the money and it looks good too (I prefer the black version. Quite stylish.)As for battery life, I torture mine, almost constant wifi usage with a lot of texting and calling and it still manages to go one full day without recharging so 2 days of normal usage is not far from reality.

Definitely I love it! Yes, no 720p recording but the sound volume is impressive and the speakers quality is very good for a smarthphone. 3G voice call quality is clear and good. Is a good option if you don't wanna spend lots of bucks. The only thing is that there is no mention for the moment for an upgrade to Jelly Bean (and Huawei isn't famous for upgrade his devices)...

I've got the huawei Ascend G600 since 3 weeks and in the beginning the same problem... but i manage the problem. You have to buy an SD card (16-32gb) and in the settings menu->Storage you have to select the default storage location (by default is the internal memory) and put the sd card. Remove all the apps and reinstall them (games, ecc...) now you have the internal memory free and a lot of space for your apps. ;)

I've had one of these for 24 hrs and then i just went to the store to get my money back and the problem was that this is a useless dual-core. It has great performance, great screen, amazing definition and colours and the dts sound system actually works!!! And boy... that is just amazing! You can hear your phone ring in the intire house!!! So, i was very happy with my brand bew dual-core android! But then i tried to put the Real Racing 2 and there was a problem. It was saying that there was'nt enough space. My first fought was:"Damn! My unity has a defect!" but very unfortunately that wasn't the problem, in the box and in the website it has 4gb of memory for apps, since in 4.0 you can not move apps to the sd card without rooting. A decent game, the kind of game that is made for dual-cores, is about 1gb. The real usable memory of the phone is 1gb and not 4gb because 3 of the 4gb is the system it self. If you're thinking to buy this thing, forget it, it as every thing to be perfect but the internal storage ruins it all. Choose an Galaxy SII instead :)

Any new phone now needs to support concurrent HDMI out and being a USB host device. This is to enable its use as a PC with Keyboard and Mouse and Media Player on a TV or Monitor. My old Alcatel OT-995 is part way there, with HDMI but does not support being a USB Host device. XBMC & WEB Browsing on a phone playing back to an HDMI TV/Monitor is just so useful when travelling.

Now in New Zealand. Very nice phone. I have a work iphone 5 and this one feels and works as good if not better. I was thinking of a Samsung 3 but at under half the price it is a no brainer

Seems to hv a cool specs under good affordability! I don't play games, mostly for browsing & reading so i aint looking for the fastest one :D...yet a big screen with hi-res plus long batt are crucial factors, a hi-quality main camera is definitely a plus. Look forward to having its soon presence in Asian market! I do wanna have wider choices beyond Samsung, HTC, LG and iStuffs. Frankly i don't want it goes to heavy, crazy advertisements cuz at the end it's consumer who pays the bills!!! I do NOT want to pay OVER prices like those over promo brands!!! i can care less about the name. I want a rationality! Best Price/Performance Ratio is My Target :D -aware buyer
