U mean on Auto or Night Mode? Night Mode takes about 5 seconds image stacking + long exposure photos, but in Auto it takes instantly. And because of the RYYB sensor, P30 doesnt even needs night mode, just by using Auto it still beats others in low lights.

Watch comparison reviews. Also, there is only 1 review which mentioned how long P30 Pro takes low light pictures compared to other phones, often 1.5x-2x the time.

I see a lot of comments here about video shooting being bad/terrible but nothing specific about this matter. What is exactly so bad about it? Video is very important for me as I probably take more videos than photos. Currently i am using Nokia 7 plus and i am looking for an upgrade in the camera department and there is a good deal for this phone. I watched some reviews on youtube but it all looked good.

Anyone here with an IR blaster that doesn't work? My Amber Sunrise P30 pro's IR blast seems to be sending IR signals when I checked in a dark room but it doesn't wok with any of the devices controlled by my P20 pro which I still have.

usage? since you coming from the S9, I think the Note 10+ is a very good choice. the S-pen will be very useful if you are a content creator. durability? 11 pro, just watch jerryrigeverything. this thing is a tank! also ios is supported for the next 5 to 6 years, which is very convenient. P30 pro on the other hand, if you want a combination of android with a touch of ios-like os here and there, get this phone. I recommend to take it's lil bro the P30 for it's got a headphone jack, a flat screen, and is smaller in size for easy handling. camera is argueable, but both are the best in term of battery life. I personally use the 7 pro, since what I looked for is smoothness and speed.

No your wrong, LCD whites are brighter. My Nokia 8.1 next to an OLED the Nokia is way brighter and whiter. OLED is often too yellow and darker whites

A phone not only for photography, there are many things can do. And also the dimensions material of use the weight and the battery lifespan. As we can see the Huawei p30 pro has the fastest wireless reverse charging, if you use a lot the battery lifespan can be shorter than wired charging, not to mention it doesn't come with 3.5mm so a dongle is needed to pair with your wired headphone. On the other hand the weight and width of this phone is heavy and wider that's will not allow you grip well in one hand for sometime you are busy (busy can make mistakes like drop phone especially it has slippery "waterfall" screen). But don't get me wrong it is still a good phone with that price. No phone is perfect so does Huaweis.

I bought this last May, Im happy and satisfied but yesterday after capturing plant and other things my camera keep turning off. I notice that the flashlight is not working and when somebody call me I dont hear any single word from them but they hear me. First time its happen to me, I've tried anything, drain battery to 0%,clear cache, safe mode, and the last step that I dont want to do but I will====factory reset. Have both the p30 pro and iphone 11 pro. Night photos are still unbeatable on my p30 pro and also the zoom capability which was fantastic and used a lot on safari. The iPhone 11 pro has much better video and truer colours and better dynamic range in day light but both have different strengths. I will be keeping both as I will have the best camera experience between the two devices. One for different scenarios.

It's down to ios or android. Only you can decide because both are really good phones. P30 pro has better battery, longer life and faster charge. Cameras are very good on both, night and zoom function better on p30 pro but video and portrait better on the xr. Either way it's down to operating systems. You should definitely pick the device after seeing both personally, which would make the choice easier. Displays are both excellent but not the best.

The battery is unbelievable. It's charge so fast I really like it. Second benefit is the CAMERA. I have never seen or used any phone before capturing pictures and recording videos like this model P30 PRO. I have switched my previous phone which is iPhone xs to this wonderful device. This device is famously known around the world as best or second best camera phone, yet I see some people complaining about its camera here. Are these fake reviews? Do remember that OLED display doesn't show accurate colours like LCD, even if the original pic has accurate colours. As for the person comparing its camera with iPhone 11 - go away. And also, i don't recommend playing pixel fixing videos as it might do more harm due to stressing the pixel excessively. AMOLED burning in is permanent and you'll just have to live with it i guess.

No problem with mine, it's just as good as advertised. And I have never come across a contract where I could not send the device back withing 14 to 30 days. In Europe if you purchase something online you can return it just for not being happy with the device no questions asked. If you are not happy with it sell it privately and be done but I doubt with the information you gave, you actually own one.

Buy a Huawei phone they said... It’ll be fun they said... I’m struggling with internet connection day after day. Video... I won’t even comment, video sucks and we all know it, I knew even before I bought it, but I never expected it to be this bad. This is a flagship phone after all... My expectations were low, and Huawei still managed to disappoint me. The best camera on a smartphone - seems to turn orange color into pink, and red color into magenta? Why? Is the camera messed up or the screen really sucks that bad? Selfie camera is not impressive either. And phone has lots of glitches and bugs. Maybe that’s a result of bad internet connection, or the OS has major issues? They refused to give me a refund or another phone, because my P30 Pro isn’t broken. It just... sucks.

I thought to write an OK review because I dont use my phone for video, I only dislike selfies and main camera is awesome, but also... yeah I notice that my notifications are late often and I have to try hard to catch some internet like some people before wrote but THIS PHONE MADE ME CRY TODAY! - I saw comments about screen burn in and I checked mine on gray pic and its burned in and I can see logo of instagram app and some other apps there and I cried... it happens on Samsung and iPhone and other phones too, but my brother still has the S8 and my mom S5 and I checked their phones and they don’t have the burn in and I only had my phone for 3 months... as I write this I want to cry again, I tried to play burn in fixing videos but it didnt help, please how do I fix this???

Went back to using iPhone SE soon after buying P30 Pro. Android is unstable, lots of glitches, selfie camera is sub par and video is a joke. I lost almoust 300€ on this phone because it loses value when you use it so I had to sell for less than I paid for initially. Stay away of this phone!

I had numerous flagships, from Galaxy S3 to iPhone8 and this was my first Huawei, and it will most likley be the last. I never ever had such a bad experience with a flagship phone. Period. I don't want to be disrespectful, but here we have a guy (who is either a die hard Huawei fan or Huawei employee) arguing against multiple people having bad experience with their phones. I had a P30 Pro and I had a bad experience with this device, and I want to warn others to be cautious before making a purchase because It's a lot of money! That makes me a troll? This guy also ignores the fact that P30 Pro's video is pure disaster, colours are everything but accurate and Samsung hands down has a better selfie camera! Camera colours are just weird and video is jittery. It can't stand in game for long because internet keeps breaking. Also I can see that upper part of my screen is lighter than lower one. Do not watch youtube in vertical on this phone! It extremley suspectible to screen burn-in! There are also ghosts of some of my icons. And Huawei refused to claim my warranty!

Best phone ever! Long lasting battery, brilliant camera (amazing photos), awesome design (breathing crystal) The Wi-Fi and mobile connection work both fine. It beats way ahead the top phones. Say the display resolution is not as sharp as samsung s10 's one and that it lacks stereo speakers (it's a loud speaker anyway), but overall I am so glad that I chose P30 PRO instead of s10+. I moved from many Samsung phones to Huawei for the 1st time and I'm quite satisfied. It's worth the money!

Heat issues with my P30 Pro are on a whole different level, I never experienced anything like this in my entire life! DO NOT buy this phone if you are a gamer! It gets extremley hot, one part of the screen gets so hot thay it can literally burn you on touch! I am sometimes afraid to charge it. And sometimes I stop in the middle of game because either my phone is too hot, or it starts to lag so bad that I cannot keep playing! This phone is dangerous, I am afraid to charge it over night, I only charge in daytime now in case that it bursts in flames!

I bought your "best phone offered". It's deeply disappointing in so many ways. Not accurate colours. Tearfully disappointing video. Underwhelming audio. Buggy OS and UI which desperatley copies iOS (which I find cheap as previous iPhone user). And finally, biggest frustration of all - connection issues. Battery life is outstanding, but that's about it. This phone does not deserve this price tag. Too many lacking areas here.

I have use wireless device for music listening, LDAC does turn out the sound solid. Which LDAC must have it merit there. You can try yourself listening via wireless then 3.5mm jack, 3.5mm sound with more noise and not clear from my China phone experience but wireless connection (LDAC) makes listening much more better with more solid audio, but if you pair with those quality products it must be better, I mean the complete experience. Straight to the point, IMO this phone is big enough for better two handle, one hand would rarely because the screen size and weight and the thickness are almost same as my China phone, I know the fact and typing with both thumbs to keep the phone less burden in one handled.

LDAC? Great theory, average implementation. These are the test results - Cheapest LDAC compatible headphones are $300. I wont waste money on that so whats the point having LDAC phone? My aptX HD device are more optimize and stable. Mind over muscle. Plus even u cant afford both the LDAC phone & its expensive headphone as u just use a low end China phone. When you mention wireless headphones you should give kudos to Sony because Sony share their LDAC code start from Android 8, but you did not. You will only praise for those China brands. But if you plug in the 3.5mm earphone you can't have LDAC read out and lost something. While Z2 (example) with Sony audio decoding is nice and I am sure it better than most of those China brands please remember that Z2 is quite a old phone... Source:

If you're looking to buy a new smartphone - please avoid this one. I wish I looked into reviews before making a purchase. Reasons? Screen burn in within first 3 months of use which is just outrageous! Video performance of a low end smartphone. Poor selfie camera performance, always in portrait mode it seems. It crashes some apps often. WiFi keeps disconnecting and 4G is breaking all the time. Only positive thing about this phone is a battery, but it does heat a lot during charging.

I own a P30 pro, and let me tell you coming from IOS this phone is absolute JUNK. Pictures are not very clear at all, Android is very unstable, phone keeps bugging major glitches after verifying on my websites it seems to be a general problem I would highly recommend steering clear of this garbage phone !!!

I dont know about P20, but my earlier Honor 8 Pro with DTS works wonder on bass. And i just bought Mi Airdots, played on my phone. The bass & clarity is outstanding. That wireless earbuds really recommended.

I've used this phone for almost half a month (4 days shy of half) now and wow photos and videos sure are grainy. Sort of wished I didn't buy this now but I can't refund it. I've used this for browsing internet and yt. So maybe I made a mistake. Battery last around 10h or so with intensive use and around 15h with light browsing from my estimate of my screen time usage app and smartcare on hiboard. (But for some reason it doesn't get back to 15h for 2 day use anymore, it is roughly 10h now) I don't know if I made a good decision or a bad one but Huawei, you sort of disappointed me especially coming from a previous iPhone user. I've only been happy with the battery. The camera is slightly better than my iPhone but if it went any higher with the zoom, it is equally as bad as my iPhone. I waiting and researched on this phone for months until I bought it. Now I found out it isn't good at what they say it is used for. Also with its trade ban, I might have slight regret but I'll hang on in hopes that someone will create a lineage os in the future. The only joy is that I have more battery than my iphone but I guess I should have bought Mate 20X or Mate 20 Pro since P30 Pro isn't that big of a change of battery.

I couldn’t imagine myself writing this review about this phone until a while ago. I wanted something different from an iPhone and since this is the best camera this was my dream phone. So I even lost all my messages from iOS and lots of stuff but I got this phone. Anyways phone is a bit too big if your hands are small, it’s also slippy. Camera is great but it’s true what they say about the video, it has a bad video. I won’t sugar coat it. I would also add comment about selfie camera. It’s just not that good, and I mostly take selfies. Real problem with this phone is signal that keeps breaking, and it sometimes gets stuck in some apps. And sometimes it’s slow to register my touch, so I tap something several times before it actually reacts. These might not seem like big problems to you, but to me they certainly are. It was not cheap for an Android phone. I don’t know, it is possible that I had bad luck with this one. I will give Samsung a shot next (in year or two, depending how long I’ll put up with this) and if they don’t impress me I’ll be back to Apple.

P20 audio is cheap, how could it have a massive upgrade on Mate 20 although I know the Mate 20 audio output(the tiny speaker on phone) is nice but the earphone experience is no way near Sony quality unless cut down your requirement.

Hi there. I currently have the old flagship Samsung Galaxy S9+. Bit disappointed / underwhelmed by the front & rear cameras not having a wider angle lens as I had hoped (or looking for) and especially the quality of the selfie camera. Havent u fully read my word? If u want more bass, tune up the equalizer. Even by just change the Dolby Atmos to 'open' & 'rich', bass quality are great. Still dont know what it is? Because u have no idea, as u dont experience it. Its funny u try very hard to condemn Huawei, but fails everytime, because u doesnt even experience it at the first place. If i came from Sony that already has great bass quality, i approve Huawei bass quality as well. But you? Thats right, as always, wrong guess & assumption.

U mean the exposure level when tap to focus? I dont use it, just tap to focus & let in auto adjust as i want to preserve highlights. Its the way i took pictures. The font size maybe nitpicking, but if others using different color it will be the same if background same as that font color. So its not a deal breaker for me.

The Huawei's camera is fine but could be better. I hate the brightness settings on the specific area of the screen, the font is tiny and not clear when the objects is same as the tiny font colors, it is hard to read for it font size. Don't ask Huawei to change to a bigger font size please.

Those camera fonts are just like Leica camera. I came from a lot of Sony phones & dont have a problem with the camera UI from Huawei at all. The only complaints they should merge 'portrait' & 'aperture' together, by just using 'aperture' because it can change depth of field later on even after photos captured rather than fixed using 'portrait'.

Both are AI algorithm just for different part. I don't want to promote AI side sense, be fair the YouTube is free for hater but also the user you must be selectively watch what you think it is right to make your judgment, but some know figure out the settings to suit for them. Just like I use the China phone the camera UI is way fancy with tiny font and , the manual mode the ISO and Exposure time have to scroll many times to reach the indicator for my figures, you can say it is great and better, but to me it is way fancy and lag more than practical. I would want the bigger font in the ( XA Ultra) camera UI something that help people get better control thru the screen than those "fancy skin", You still can love those fancy stuff or hate those side sense (examples), that's your opinion. Please if Huawei change the camera UI to bigger font please don't try praise them, they are late.

Like i said, i'm not you. If i find it not useful that does nothing, just introduce recent task by using icons that will easily annoying when accidental touch happens. So I've returned my P30 Pro and have decided that it's smarter to save my money and stick with my current phone for another year or two. I've faced same issues as other gentlemen in the comment section and I simply cannot describe my experience as satisfying. Battery drain was just extreme, even in idle mode. Another issue was connectivity, I don't use WiFi but it was rather underwhelming when it comes to 4G (it was rather difficult to catch signal in area where my current phone doesn't struggle at all). But most aggravating issue was the heat. Simply immense heat emitted by this device. Like other gentleman stated - you could probably fry an egg on it. I was actually scared that my device will burst into flames while still in my hands. This might sound funny, but I had to charge my phone in my bathroom because I have ceramic floor there. Ceramic tiles can't catch on fire, so it was only way for me to sleep peacefully. All due respect to Huawei, but I won't buy a Huawei product again. Once was enough.

The video shows it throttles 40% straight away in cup performance where the s10 extends gets down to 75 in about an hour and then snapdragon in gaming phones stay above 85

Only thing I'll give to this phone are night shots and battery life. Connection quality on this phone is simply pathetic and incredibly frustrating on daily basis. Another issue is heat. It's not too uncomfortable to hold, but when you touch one part of the screen, I guess on place where the processor is located - you can literally get burned! I'm not joking. I bet I could cook on it if it had larger surface! I know it's not a gaming phone but loads of cheaper phones handle gaming better and without such heat issues. Games simply LAG because internet is unstable, and I guess thermal throttling plays it's role too! It gets pretty hot on the charger too! And this is Huawei flagship? Camera of the year that can't even make a video right? What a joke! I've contacted Huawei authorised service centre to either claim my warranty or get my device replaced and yet they told me that there's nothing wrong with my device!?!?!? I want my money back, but unfortunatley I can't get refund... I guess I'll sell it to some unlucky soul...

I bought Huawei p30 pro in last 2 days. Within this 2 days, Im realize the battery percentage was drop quite fast than oppo a3s. In 20 minute, the battery drop 1% and there a no running apps because i have clear it before. Is it normal the battery percentage will drop if we not used the phone? So far it has performed as expected with some minor exception. Sometimes I don’t get notifications for my twitter while my IPhone does. Maybe it’s because the time interval of when the WiFi is on. I have no other app besides YT but I don’t want to get notified by that. Hopefully I won’t face problems when using twitter. I’ve only encountered problems with logging in to my school WiFi as I have way to enter the password and user id. 4G has never break on me not like my iPhone. I’ve lost service connection and had the 4G breaking the connection when I am in a middle of a online chat on iPhone, probably Apple wanting me to change my 6s plus. This phone has never encountered this problem when I am at those certain location where the service keeps disappearing for my iPhone.

I wish I didn't buy this phone. I really do. It's nothing special. It heats a lot, especially on charger. It gets stuck in apps sometimes. UI is really hard to navigate. 4G quality is really bad and so is WiFi. Only good thing about it is camera, with video being exception, video is crappy. Really poor experience at this price tag. Now I'm stuck with this phone for another 2 years because of my contract :(

Skip the Xperia, now this depends on what your needs are. Want the S-pen and best chipset, also best screen? - Go after Note10. Want headphone jack, bigger screen, expandable memory and pretty much the same chipset and performance as Note10? - Then S10+ has you covered. Also, Note10 and S10+ both have top notch cameras, with amazing video capabilities. If you don't care about video, but you want good quality night photography, and you prefer to zoom on your photos a lot - P30 Pro is for you. And my Advice is to just throw Xperia out of calculation, unless you're dead set on having higher resolution screen.

I know this may be difficult for you to do but read the comment properly. I said the device would throttle and bring the device down to a temperature of 37 degrees after throttling and as for the device heating up when charging I did not mention that as it is a 40w charge rate and is normal temperature for a device to charge at that rate. Not many people use there device when charging. So don't try to be cleaver and change what people are stating as you clearly aren't.

Such a false statement, the device will throttle way before it reaches anywhere near that heat or it would internally damaging at that consistent heat and shut down. There is a YouTube video that Gsmarena did about gaming phones and this devices throttled to keep the device at a steady 37 degrees which was cooler than every device it was against. So look it up before making a comment. If you are going to make false comments about the device to make it look bad at least look it up. Also the device has a feature which they advise about the device.The Huawei P30 Pro has an improved cooling system with a combination of graphene film and a heat pipe with vapor chamber. Signal is bad, I have to open some apps all the time because it won't show notifications. I won't sell my phone over it but I won't buy another Huawei either. Me, as a girl find this bit too big for my hands, my younger brother played fortnite on this thing about 2 hrs per day, and after it my P30 Pro would be too hot to hot to hold in my hand, my has has thermal camera and it shows burning area on my phone at around 75 Celsius and and water "boils" at 100 Celsius, and I bet I could fry an egg on it if my brother played any longer... he probs stops to play because the phone is too hot to handle... once he was using a rug to hold the phone while still playing... and putting it on a charger afterwards just makes things even worse, this phone is a fire hazard

I am really sorry that I had to write this review on this phone. Because it was literally my dream phone, and I worked too hard so I can afford it while still saving money for college. I was literally carrying people's drinks while thinking about this phone. I had to sell this phone and I bought S10e with money I scarmbled by doing so. Here are problems I had: I wouldn't get any notifications for hours and I still don't know why, my brother and my friends all tried to figure it out too but they couldn't. My WiFi would break a lot, while it worked fine on my old iPhone and brother's Samsung. My phone internet (not WiFi but internet I pay for) also got really bad as soon as I started to use this phone, I tried my iPhone again and it's still doing great there - so that is your fault Huawei :( Pics were awesome, but selfies are not really special. This cheaper S10 version has no zoom but I can live without it, it actually makes better selfies (yay) and notifications are never late and signal and WiFi are good. Only bad side is worse battery but it is so much cheaper that I won't complain. I think it looks cute because it's so small and I can type with one hand but I sometimes miss big screen.

By far color accuracy is there. Most Samsung or Apple users I know all have colorblindness to a certain degree or they cannot tell colors in bright saturation well. Perhaps u need to look into this.

Photography is most likley the best on the market currently, but video performance is simply bad. Another issue for me is the fact that my P30 Pro won't recognize some of my bluetooth devices or connect to them. While my old phone and my mom's phone have no problems with it.

This is last Huawei I ever bought. Switching to Samsung because Apple is a rip-off... Their keyboard is still bad so I have to install another one, bloatware isn't such an issue here, but colour accuracy either of camera or screen is just bad. Also the video, my sister's S9 still makes better video. I'd forgive all this but the phone gets super hot on charger (so hot that I cannot put my hand on it). Their customer service says that it's completley normal. And last but not least, I bought a flagship and it lags. I also had to restart it few times by now because Facebook messenger icons would get stuck or unresponsive when I try to close them...

I work for a phoneshop (for a big mobile provider in the UK) - this brand is painful. Its got some blind allegiance similar to Apple - for some reason people are attracted by it because they see them as the underdog and are blinded by the specs on paper (Apple banks on image, not specs). I can't explain how many people have issues with these phones. Myself included (I owned the P20 Pro for 3-4 months). There are more glitches in Huawei high end devices (P30 Pro, Mate 20 Pro, P20 Pro, etc) than there were glitches in low end and mid range Samsung circa 2013. No other provider has more people coming back with issues. And for some odd reason, just like with Apple, they don't want to admit that there is something at fault with this company's devices - it's always our fault (the network provider) or Trump's or whoever, but not dear Huawei. I hope they get their stuff together.

HUAWEI service centre in Malaysia has bad service. I have a HUAWEI Y9 (2019). Since the phone has some problems, so I do a factory reset. After the reset, I cannot change the notification sound for the message and Gmail anymore. I went to the service centre for help. After taking more than two hours there, they did nothing to my phone but just downloaded WhatsApp and WeChat to the phone and said that it has no problem. The technician said that it is normal for the phone that cannot change the notification sound because the device is like that at the beginning.

Mid range phone? How do you work that out when the Kirin 980 out performed the exynos variant of the S10, this years flagship from Samsung. Take a look at Gary Sims test between the Exynos version of the Samsung vs the Kirin 980. Also 40w charge which a excellent battery life 8gb ram wireless charge plus a lot more. These don’t seem to be midrange. The device works flawlessly with no lag, not midrange and I doubt you even owned one. Just trying to promote the new note 10 that hasn’t been released to the consumer yet.

I bought it some months before and hopefully i sold it today. It is a mid range smartphone with high end photography. So it is same as to buy a mid range camera (DSLR) and a mid range smartphone. Why to do it on myself? I will buy Note 10 as i believe it is a more complete phone. This year Samsung changed their SoC for a second time and offer a really premium choice as i will have a top level at all the things i use. The screen is also important as i use Netflix more usually than i am taking pictures so i will love it.

But to ask which is best is like asking someone if they like marmite. iOS vs android.... if you are wanting to get a new device look for yourself, as I have listened to people telling me what to purchase in the past and regretted it. My personal decision was to get the p30 pro because a great battery life and camera was important to me, but that was my personal opinion and not influenced by a cult following such as a lot (not all) Samsung and apple users

That's upto your priorities. Both are great phones. If you want the stylus pen experience and some extra productivity, go for note 9. Go for P30 pro for that amazing cameras, 5x zoom & slightly better battery life. Other than that, there are not much differences between them, I guess.

570 nits are considered as 'excellent' in Anandtech review. I dont mind it too. Theres no doubt S10+ got the superior screen & Iphone color accuracy, but the point is it still an excellent panel. You said its brightness worse than P20 Pro, which is totally wrong. Base on my experience, more than 500 nits is already great for sunlight legibility, all professional reviewer agrees with it. And my current Mate 20 LCD? It scores at 780 nits. Tell me, what is your current phone?

In effect the brightness characteristics are in line with what we’ve seen in recent Huawei OLED devices. This is the best device out there anyone says different is a fan boy. Yes Samsung has slightly better display that’s it. Apple has its own os and excellent services that’s it. Google has good camera and up to date software that’s it. But this device has 40w charge, best overall camera and unbelievable battery life. Performance speed is negligible in flagship phones now as they can run any app with ease, unless you want benchmark bragging rights which means nothing nowadays. I swore to my self I would never go and get a huawei since the p10 which never received regular updates but so glad I did. No loyalty too a brand, only too me and my preference. Still got my iPhone X for my Apple Watch and music, it hard to break away from apple because of its services.

Do you know why there are 18:9, 18.5:9, 19.5:9 screen ratio variant? 18:9 - Flat screen 18.5:9 - With notch 19.5:9 - Notch with curve screen Technically, when the 18.5:9 & 19.5:9 hide notches in settings, it became true 18:9 screen ratio. Almost half videos in Youtube using 18:9, so it still got its purpose. 21:9 mostly for cinematic movies. When u watch 18:9 & 16:9 video/photo content in it, huge black bars persist as well. Just bought the P30 Pro and loving it! Battery is very resilient, for my usage (games, camera, browsing) it lasted for a day and a half! I take a LOT of pictures, so this is now my go to camera, though the front facing one is not as good as the Nova 3 my husband has, imho. Still overall, even with the ban, lots of people still purchase Huawei in my country, for its price and specs, very satisfying.

I dont experience that. Easily 2 days battery life with moderate & a bit heavy usage. Simply the best battery life in a phone. Samsung is catching up (previous S8 battery life is abysmal, cant even live for a day) but nowhere near it. Plus with 40w supercharge, excellent.

Loving this P30 pro! His battery is a scary thing, I never managed to stay a full day without charging and with P30 pro I reach the end of the night with 30% battery! His camera is wonderful! At first sight did not surprise me much but learning to use the modes correctly it becomes a super camera. Your zoom is beautiful and with a lot of quality, perfect for surfing photos or birds (2 things I love). I dont believe that Google will let this amazing brand go away and make another OS that will be a hard competitor! It is just USA trying to disturb P30 pro launch.

Nokia 808 got the overall image quality, clearly because it got larger sensor. But for zooming? Nahh S4 zoom got the real 10x optical sensor, but the overall image quality were just average, compare to todays standard. And smartphone are about pocketable device, which those two are not. Hence the periscope camera created. Plus, no one would buy those two phone nowadays just for the camera & sacrificing everything else.

Is this a joke? S10 optical zoom only at 2x. P30 Pro periscope camera optical is 5x & 10x hybrid, which far far better. That guy use max 50x zoom which is digitalized, of course it looks bad, at that level it wasnt for quality, but just for things normal eyes cant see. At least it provides up until 50x, where others dont.

Why should I? There are tons of videos already tested, experimented on P30 Pro camera, it'll be redundant. These are tested by professional photographer from Germany, and he confirms it. - - And this one the guy try to trick the AI using a light source, captured using Moon Mode, no moon photos applied. - There is no proof at all Moon Mode is fake when tested. You should learn basic things about photography & how camera system works.

Of course, max zoom of P30 Pro is 50x, which is totally digitalized. Eitherway it provides 50x when others dont. Best zoom is at 5x (optical) & 10x (hybrid). Other than Oppo Reno, no other phones provides Periscope camera as P30 Pro does, which means still has the best camera zoom on the market.

Thats how exposure works. Tell u what, try take a picture of a light bulb in brighter area with tap to focus on the background instead of the light bulb, it will resulting in brighter condition, but the lightbulb will be overblown. Then tap to focus on the light bulb, all background will be darker but the light bulb will less overblown. Go nearer to the light bulb and focus to it once again, u can see filamens on the light bulb and background will be even darker. Thats how P30 Pro took the moon pictures, but with more aggresive lower exposure + shutter speed adjustment just to reduce the overbright highlights of the moon, so every other place will become totally dark/black.

Its not fake. Its the AI controls the exposure, contrast, highlights on Moon mode. Kind of when u tap to focus on a light bulb. Theres a various testing about the fake moon mode, including taking the moon photo on screen monitor with a sticker put on top. The sticker remains means there is no fake photos applied. The camera apk strips, no additional moon photos, mobile data turned off, can still take moon photos, means that no additional online photos applied. The Moon mode on P30 Pro is the real deal.

Need help! Should I go for p30 or p30 pro? P30 Pro have wireless and reverse charging but I don't really need them and worry that I need to pay extra for features that I won't use. I'm ok with both IP rating on the phones. For camera, I kinda prefer with the OIS since I like taking photos handheld and I always use pro mode and hope that OIS can help a bit in this. The telephoto is fine either way for both of the phone. I like the smaller size and flat screen on P30 over p30 pro. I need IR blaster (p30 pro) but I also need headphone jack (p30). Should I sacrifice the headphone jack or IR blaster? Why can't we just have all the best hardware in one phone. :(

I'm sure there's an article where Huawei and Google have promised no current handsets will be affected as far as Google services / gmail / appstore etc but it will most likely mean your current android version won't be updated, so you might not see android Q , but you should still be able to access Google services and recieve security updates via Huawei

They van use old kirin socs like kirin985 and kirin 980 . They can always use the old architecture from arm but theywon't have access to the newer ones that will be released after the ban. They can use cortex a76, a55 and mali g76. So they can always use these architectures .And i don't think that arm will produce smth new in the next 1 or 2 years. So huawei has some time before becoming outdated.

My advice, don't be like them people who go and sell their Huawei's (including brand new phones) at cheap! Not yet.. just wait and see first. Even if you couldn't get Google updates and such, it doesn't deny the fact that P30 pro is a mobile photography beast and you still can use it for daily operation. P/S: I think that if Huawei really can't get Google updates, someone WILL somehow find a way to cheat the updates, maybe by changing the phone attributes (brand, name, model etc.).

Yeah no, it's safer to go with a OnePlus phone than a Samsung phone. OnePlus phones have never had any problems or controversies. I think there might've been a time where they got in trouble for enabling a performance mode in Antutu, (even though it gets enabled in anything that requires a lot of performance, so it should be used in benchmarks) but that's it.

That sucks. Selling it may not even be an option as buyers are avoiding Huawei. Just saw a news report from Singapore revealing that people there are panicking and rushing to sell. Problem is the phone shops are rejecting all Huawei phones for trade-in deals. If you can sell it quickly at a reasonable price, it may be a good idea to do it fast before this news spread.

To be honest, this phone is not for everyone. People who are too stuck to iPhone, pls carry on with Apple so u can be milked off your hard earned (or not) money. As for others like Samsung fans, well....17~19hrs per day usage for 2 years is max for any of the 'flagship'. Even with faster charging, the battery won't last or cannot be guaranteed to explode. Note X haven't released but exploded during test run already. Anyway advantages of this particular P30 pro is not the 50x zoom as many thinks to be. Yes, its pics taken are not 100% to many liking....because the strength is focused on structures or earth-toned pictures. Extremely durable battery and Night mode is its actual strength....to the point where it can be used for a full night photography yet left a good 30~38% for other stuffs. Gaming wise, i did a full day Pokemon Go and it din even sap 75% of the battery; Compared to my Samsung S9+ and iPhone X, the other 2 crap phones gave up when it hits the 10th Gym raiding. Graphic wise, its not bad and smooth so far, nor do I have cybernetic eyes to see flash-rate of 240Hz. Next will be doing full day gaming on PubG when i have the time. But there is one big disadvantage on this phone; its built-in software are not surprisingly of not much of use except HiVision and can be easily replaced by better ones as well as the built in keyboard. Screen size wise, it tends towards a lil longish for those born with only 1 hand but not that longish to u can use it to smack people's face well like my S9+. Of course, drop test I have yet done any but if u do want to get a phone that is virtually indestructable. Go iPhone XS but be careful cos u get tracked ANYWHERE even if u had turned off the location or even the phone. Cheers!

A cool tone isn't a good tone for people food and natural things except it is good to capture building. That's why I feel that my Z2 has better color algorithm than Huawei, my satay looks tasty because it is not dull and suffer from the cool tone. The sharpness I know my Z2 isn't the sharp one but I can accept the sharpness because it doesn't overdone, if I want it to be sharpen more I can edit it, but how do you edit or recover an oversharpening photo? The social media scale down the image which bring the oversharpening trend, so I do agree slightly sharpness added is fine but just don't overdone, if sharpness overdone it also looks unnatural and unrealistic. Furthermore the Bokeh is overhyped because it aggressively blurred background, I do love my Z2 a little bit more because the defocus create by the actual aperture it is much realistic and telling the truth scene as I seen..

You are bias. When you bias I have to at least "give me 5", so 2+5=7, it is much reasonable. While I still find my 5 years Z2 has more logical image and looks nice, the China's color algorithm still in the cool tone that not a great tone for life photography.

You want to say the the background is blur? Yes ihas the defocus for the background to pop up the satay and it is natural not overdone. The object/satay looks clear and doesn't oversharpening like those brand. Those who love oversharpening because they most of the share the photo on social media. The oversharpening photo also a hit or miss, it should retain the real sharpness as real as reality any added too much sharpness is against reality. Try share your satay or food here, I think your phone won't capture the satay as delicious as reality as mine.

There is 24 hours per day. And night time or low light time is almost 11 hours per day. That's why the ability to take the photos in such situations are very important for the smartphones now. For us, it's not a gimmick but it's a useful feature. And the photos taken by my two HUAWEI phones, Y9 (2019) and Mate20 X don't have weird colour reproduction when compared with the real one.

Thats what i'm trying to proof, but the guy had an older Sony Xperia Z2 phones & claims it even better than P30 Pro lol. Look at that satay pics he posted below. Yes there are no smartphone camera can take as good as DSLR, but between Huawei & Sony, definitely Huawei are the close one. Hardware & software speaks it all. The satay I capture is same as real food, low noise and plenty of detail, most important the color looks 'delicious' but still realistic as DSLR color. The Ducati you captured is over-contrast and slightly over-expose and less detail because of slightly over-expose, although it has punchy red color but overall it is fine but definitely not the best, the DSLR color is much reality doesn't same as Huawei. Consider you capture indoor that just fine 10 full mark you get 7.6 for the Ducati shot.

What i saw on your satay pictures are more weirder. Dull colors, noisy image, a lot of losing details. Its just a very uninspiring image. If that pics of yours makes u think its similar to DSLR, its not, in fact very far off. Some of my samples on the food, ants, Ducati is using natural aperture without AI function, are a lot better lol. Its kind of pictures people use in magazine & put in ads, taken by DSLR. What u show here is a pic that even a $100 phone can do. At least show some skills or any challenging situation. I know how Z2 image results, own it for 2 years, had great times with it before change to Z5. In fact i still has it in my collection. U got it all wrong buddy. P30 Pro is one of the best camera phone right now, and definitely the best in terms of low lights and zooming. Use Pro mode for RAW function & edit manually later, turn off Master AI if u opt for more natural looking & edit manually later, turn it on if u want a finish looking, without the hassle of editing. The thing about AI function is, depends by the skills of the beholder, when the scene & the timing is right, u can get an excellent results. Have u seen an award winning photography naturally look & without editing? Nope. They all are heavily edited to make it looks dramatic & tells a story behind it. Thats the purpose of the Master AI, create things with an instance. It got 3 choices. Pro, Auto & Master AI. Most of the people in the world agrees with it, therefore the very good sales of Huawei phones. And dont tell me its just about marketing, its more.

If some situation on the AI Portrait mode not looking good on the viewfinder, simply just cancel the AI before captured, using purely rely on camera sensor & its original aperture, a less than a second decision. Try to capture two people which doesn't stand close together let them stand a bit distance from the the shooting center. The Huawei capture bokeh with AI blur background looks unreality, two people sharp and background aggressive blurred. This is why actual aperture is better to show the real scene without dramatic blurred the background because actual aperture has a touch of slightly defocus effect to show the depth to the background,especially the hardware shutter button (Z2) help user to focus the object and pan for positioning the object for desire composition.

Listen up, those photos were taken with AI mode, which is like the autocorrect for photos and make your photos look nicer. If you turn off the AI mode in the camera, the photos will become more natural looking. So get some background before you speak Samsung/apple/LG fanboy.

How to show the exif data on the Imgur? I have use the Google Drive to upload my photos it has exif data. For the Huawei Mate 20 AI camera, I say it has brown red, actually it is not all brown it cause by the night time around 8pm, the red color looks dull and shade. So u here too? Let me tell u about Portrait mode on Huawei device. Modern smartphone simulate portrait effects for objects/person that far away, which only can be achieve using DSLR full frame sensor or wider aperture. Theres no way u can do that on small sensor on a phone, therefore the 'fake' tricks been created. If u find the bokeh are too harsh, its always adjustable on Aperture Mode. And if u want natural bokeh using purely by the camera sensor without the AI tricks, of course it can always do that. And P30 Pro is the most closest natural bokeh effects to DSLR, as it has 1/1.7" camera sensor, with wide f1.6 aperture. Your beloved Z2 has 1/2.3" camera sensor with f2.0. Like it or not, P30 Pro takes better natural bokeh effects than any Sony phones to date, be it on photography or videography. Contrast is nice on P30, looks dramatic & not too over as Pixel does (crushed shadows). Color style are by Leica, which identical with their street style camera photography. I've got no objection about Sony accurate colors, but Huawei got its own sentimental value.

If you are using the exynos version, then yes. In my experience, the exynos version always had the worst thermal throttling in any phones and does not age as well when compared to the snapdragon variant. Snapdragon should be fine

I hate Huawei because it photo is less true to real life and the AI processing making the image false, especially the bokeh mode apply blur on the background aggressively and the people looks over contrast, it is too over and never be a good one or best one. The color is always capture on the cool not warm tone, so the foliage green doesn't looks as green as real green, it looks blueish green and some of the red color it detect as a bit brown tone making the photo looks dull and so China's style. Most of the China making this kind of color algorithm, it is too far from a DSLR algorithm Color!!!

So I have had this phone for a couple of weeks now I was an avid samsung user before so I changed from the S8 to this. Firstly the camera is miles better than the samsung or apple equivalent a friend got the Samsung s10+ and although its a good improvement on the camera quality it doesn't come near the huawei p30 pro's camera specially the telephoto lense meaning I can zoom much more without losing quality. Secondly battery life, with every Samsung phone I have owned from the s3 upwards the battery has lasted a day which is fine the huawei so far lasts 2 days after being fully charged. I know some people are complaining regarding the lack of the 3.5mm jack but there are that many great quality blue tooth earphones/headphones in the market that doesnt seem important anymore I personally use the skullcandy wireless earphones from hmv they were £20 but if not you can get a type c converter.

We from Europe get updates so late. China models has two updates in advance of us in Europe . We are still on 124 and China got 153 version which brings some awesome options. We need to wait weeks to come to us. For this reason I will not buy Huawei phones anymore. We from Europe are second class citizens for Huawei company.

Expectations for mate 30 pro: I wish they made kirin 990 instead of using kirin 985 but whatever. Kirin 985 better be faster than A13 and snapdragon. Mate 30 Pro should have a really good screen to kill Samsung, and by really good screen I mean higher than 1440p. Must be at least 600 pixels per inch. And for me I'd want at least 6.5 inch screen. If they wanna make screen size larger phone should have 4500 mah battery. And finally my last hope... 4k@60fps

Regarding the accuracy of the battery indicator, I believe it is accurate because P30 Pro has a 4,200mAh battery. My HUAWEI Y9 (2019) has a 4,000mAh battery. After my phone has charged to 100%, the indicator still show 100% within the first 25 minutes of some internet surfing.

Here is my honest review I brought this phone My is the Aurora 512GB Model. I wish that I had got the crystal color one. It comes with a see though case but is very poor quality and I suggest get a different one. This is a pricey phone so get is just common sense to get a better case. I am pretty impress with the phone so far. The screen is very vibrant and is curve which is similar to samsung phone. I don't find the slight lower resolution as big deal but the icon and text it is bigger than other phone in this size. The battery charging is very quick and come with the stock fast wall charger which can charge this phone from dead 0% to 100% about 58 minutes in my experience. but 0-50% only take around 19 minutes. However the battery indicator isn't accurate since it still show 100% when been use for like 10 minute. Battery does last all day with very heavy usage however it won't last till next day without overnight charge despite some blogger claim it can last up to 2 days moderate usage but that must not involve any serious work or use the camera. The camera is mostly great as what most media claim, the best part is the camera is very versatile in most shooting situation. the 50x zoom is pretty hype but isn't very usable, The image is hard to see and hard to focus and most like a shot off tool, I am kinda disappoint at the 5 optical and the 10X hyper zoom in any low light or indoor shot, it just comes way too soft and heavy noise. I wish it has 2x or 3x zoom fast zoom swich, the 5x is way too far in most situation. I wish they add option for lower zoom range. I do think just like most camera lens, to get the best image you had to mid zoom and mid f stop. This camera at 1x isn't at the best image quality. I suggest go for 2 to 2.5x this is when the image at is sharpest. However at low light this won't be matter. The portrait mode can be hard to tell whether was working until you take the image. What impress me the most is the low light model, it can always work and really able to shoot total darkness but will had extreme heavy noise but aleast it has some thing unlike iphone x it just total blank image. The auto night mode is aleady at its best setting, i try the up to 32 second shuttle speed at the night mode and isn't much better and sometime worst. The selfie camera image is sharp when is outdoor and good lighting however at indoor is just average and the image can be quite soft. The selfie portrait is quite good and perhaps better than iphone x. Overall I do like the phone but no where this is 10/10 or 9/10. I give more like 8/10 due to some short fall especially at the hype 50x or 5x zoom which isn't as useful or good as I hoped.

The AI moon mode is basically when it detects a moon it will replace it with a picture of a moon already available instead of the real moon. This is not unethical, it's just to make people able to see the moon. It can come in useful at times when you want a picture of the moon and you are too lazy to look it up online. It's not the saturation that bothers me - Samsung's cameras give saturated colours too. The thing I dislike is the consistency between the three lenses. A friend of mine has the S10, and despite being a very nice phone I did not like the cut out in the display. Photos on the S10 are not as sharp, and the zoom/low light performance are not comparable. But the S10 nails consistency between the three lenses. Colours look the same regardless of which of the three lenses you used to take the photo, but on my P30 pro, they look worlds apart. If that was fixed, the camera would be pretty much un-matched.

I have this phone. All I can say is good enough for me. In camera, I'm disappointed at first use but I'll go for manual or pro mode, well done, I'm happy now. In every aspect of this phone, for me is excellent like music, video, zooming(wow), memory, battery-i can share my battery with other wireless charging support phone. With all due respect but most if not all cameraphones produce saturated photos because the assumption is for them to become IG and FB-ready without any post-processing. If you want natural-looking shots better use a compact PnS or mirrorless camera. Perhaps you were expecting too much from a cameraphone without realizing that a cameraphone is still a phone with a camera and not a camera with a phone. No matter how manufacturers market their phones they will almost always produce unnatural colors because they are supposed to be posted online for that WoW factor. Just being realistic here.

Given I had this phone for a few weeks now I can say this: not all is perfect. Camera does have hit and miss sometimes, as AI sometimes thinks I want to do something I don't, but overall majority of my photos come out decent and better than expected. That's better than on my other phones and even D-SLR. So camera wise, it's impressive despite sometimes being at odds with what I want to do with it. I don't think I've made any bad photo (at 2000+) so far. The phone is snappy, face recognition works most of the time, fingerprint sensor is good, though not as fast as dedicated one as it needs to light up a spot before reading it but still very acceptable. Screen has high enough resolution for me. I mean I don't have laser vision. I really don't see what's the point in all those gigantic resolution screens. Yes, it's nice to have 5K screen on iMac (despite being a little bit of overkill) but that's 27" screen. Phone is 6"... What's wrong with you people? If you're given Full HD, QHD and 4K screens 30 cm away from you and are asked which is which I bet you couldn't tell the difference. But you could tell on how quickly battery would go down when using higher resolution. Learned that on Oppo Find 7 and 7a QHD vs FHD. Other than that, screen is OLED and so far no burn-in. It's bright and colorful (like most OLED) and shows images way nicer than when viewed on LCD panel of a computer (even 5K). Listening to vibrating glass worried me at first but it's actually same as having a normal speaker. It's clear and loud, even through flip cover. Charging with included charger is very fast, and wirelessly somewhat slower, but still very acceptable. On Huawei 15W wireless charger the phone doesn't get very warm, which is strange; iPhone 8+ heated up a lot more on its charger. Battery lasts me 1 day of heavy use or 2-3 days of light use. I didn't try NFC nor did I use bluetooth yet. Wifi 5G speed is roughly the same as Xiaomi Mi6 and somewhat faster than iPhone. Didn't listen to music and didn't unpack that earpods lookalike USB-C headphones that are included, nor did I stream music out, so can't talk about that. I can however say that I had one incident of phone heating up quite a bit, which was taking 100 burst shots (by holding the button it took 100 in about 5-10 seconds). I was waiting for something to happen but didn't know when it would. I did that several times in succession and noticed it was hot around camera area. I think CPU heated up. Other than that, no. Now last bit on camera - many of these "nice sharp photos" are not quick snaps. Some are, and honestly I didn't see much (or any) difference between snapping and clicking elsewhere and waiting until "sharpening" completed, but obviously some modes require that you keep pointing at the object for a while to sharpen up, like night mode. And that zoom only works in 10 MP mode and not in 40 MP mode. Seems when you are zooming say the moon at 50x, it's hunting around the full image (while you can only see center of it) for the object so it gets sharpened even when you actually already lost it from the screen. It's actually really weird feeling using huge zoom as it tries to compensate for you as your hands move. Overall - Huawei is not the only company with this kind of camera, Asus attempted it before and failed, Oppo is coming out with Reno that does more or less the same at half the price, others will follow. But I must say that it is a joy to use, most photos turn out better than expected, AI works well for most uses, it's very solidly built, screen is good enough, battery life also, and so far 4 people who played with mine went to buy their own within the same day. I'm happy with it. Others have some catching up to do, but I'm sure it won't be long before they do and Huawei is no longer able to charge premium for it.

It's funny how everyone is so much excited about the camera features of the P30 Pro but at the same time they don't notice awkward color rendering, randomly overexaggerated post-processing, huge amount of artifacts in low light and inconsistent image quality in sub-ideal conditions. I opted for the P30 Pro rather than the smaller handset (I came from Samsung, and had an S8). After reading the reviews, it seemed that battery life was the major selling point alongside the camera. After using the phone for a while now, the battery is ok...not as impressive as was made out. Watching video is fine - it goes on and on, but web browsing and gaming drains it really fast, and it gets very hot when used for a while. I don't find the standby battery life to be particularly good either - I am losing around 15% battery per night. I am also a quite disappointed with the camera. The zoom feature is very good, and most shots are very clear. But...colour consistency is not good between the different lenses. You can use the various lenses to take some really nice shots, but the colour is dreadful. The wide angle lens is really saturated - over saturated in many cases, whereas the telephoto lens is really washed out and always blows out the highlights. You can literally take the same image using all three lenses, and you have three completely different colour renditions. I think this is the most disappointing aspect of the phone. The camera was the biggest selling point for me, and although the hardware is impressive, the implementation isn't that good.

Just want to point out my opinion and some facts. The zoom is 4.6x, not 5x. Now the moon mode issue start to appear. Look at the Dxomark, the colour reproduction of S10 is better than P30 Pro. Why NM format?? No headphone jack is quite OK but P30 does not have Bluetooth LDAC. Those Sony headphone users will hate it. Even my Old Samsung S7 have it. EMUI vs OneUI? I think i will prefer OneUI.

Some phones have issues that continue from one model to another. A perfect example would be the ghosting/burn-in problem faced by both the LGV10 and the LGV20. When I look at the amoled display it looks pretty good actually and you can't even see the pixels. I can't see much difference between P30 screen and s10 screen.

When you end up buying a phone you must avoid making comparisons. Just get the best possible phone you can afford because you can't have everything when it comes to phones! There is no way the S10+ is better than the P30 Pro overall since the S10+ charges much slower, drains much faster (both Exynos and SD has major battery drain issues), takes mediocre photos esp.in low light, and is more expensive. I seriously doubt you'll feel any slower while using a P30 Pro. EMUI is much smoother compared to OneUi period. Display quality advantage for the S10+ for me is negligible since not everyone will consider PPI and resolution.

With all due respect but those Antutu numbers mean nothing in real-world use. Synthetic benchmarks are overrated and almost always wouldn't translate to smoother performance as in the case of LagSung. Kirin SOCs may not be as powerful as its Snapdragon or Exynos counterparts but in real-world performance it doesn't mean anything as proven by Huawei's optimizations with EMUI since the Mate series was launched. LagSung's UI lags after a few months while EMUI remains smooth even after a few years which is a testament to EMUI's optimizations. Again, synthetic benchmarks are for marketing purposes and given the fact that most phones nowadays are just as powerful or even more powerful than mobile laptop processors those numbers has all the more become totally insignificant and irrelevant.

I do not have a 4K phone, unfortunately 1440p only. Kirin is about as good as Exynos, I agree with that. But the problem is that Exynos is not good enough. People are complaining about laggy Exynos S10 devices already. There are many things wrong with the P30 Pro display, not just the resolution 1) Notch. 2) 1080p at 6.5 Inches = very low amount of pixels per inch 3) OLED. Big displays with a low resolution should be IPS LCD and not OLED. OLED has even less subpixels than normal and images will be even less sharp. 4) curved edges. Having a phone with curved edges myself, they look cool and the phone is better to hold, but other than that, flat displays are 100% better for everything else. Overall one of the worst display specs I have ever seen. Have not seen the P30 Pro in real life yet but I do not think it is worth it to walk 5 minutes into the local store to take a look at it. Would be a waste of time.

You do realise PUGB renders at 720p ? I doubt it that you buy 4k movies since most of them are blue ray. So what exacty are you on to? The content out there is 85% 1080p. And again on the Antutu part. By default Huawei disables performance mode. When you enable it Kirin performs on par with the Exynos variant. Snapdragon is faster but not to the point where you can safely say ITS BETTER than the Kirin one.

Depends on what you are doing with your phone. I am mostly using my phone for pubg mobile, YouTube and watching movies. So yes, 1080p would be far from enough. The AnTuTu score I wrote I directly got from the AnTuTu website. So yes, I think the score is completely correct. Of course, sometimes a particular phone will do better or worse in a benchmark. But this is the average I guess.

P30 is not a midrange phone dude, no midrange phones has such a good display or processor unless you're talking about xiaomi. P30 has mate 20 specs and features but just with a much better camera and a display without 1440p. The only thing that I'd say is bad is no 1440p but the display is good enough for most situations.

Mate 20 and other previous Huawei implementation of ear speaker as loud speaker is such that the speaker is not loud enough and unbalanced. Huawei have stated it does have aluminosilicate as per the same as the p20 and 10 range. however , their reluctance to call it corning or list it as "gorilla" glass suggest its own Brand or a new brand. Jerryrig just did a test on this phone and it has tempered glass and doesn't crack like the p20

Mate 30 pro may not carry the zoom lens of p30 pro inorder to keep p30pro relevant. My guess is Huawei will push mate series more towards media consumption direction rather than photography. Hoping for dual speakers of mate 20x on the mate 30 pro. Kirin 990 u likely to be a big jump from kirin 980 and I expect all chipsets to have a similar minor upgrade for 2020. EMUI 10 will be launching on mate 30 series and I assume that emui 9.1 on p30pro was left without major changes in style of UI as they will launch the big changes along with EMUI 10.

Mate 30 is coming this November if Huawei sticks to its usual phone release plan. Mate 30 will have P30 camera, Kirin 990 which I hope will be faster than A13 chip, and EMUI 10 or EMUI X. Mate 20 has been a HUGE leap from mate 10 and I'm sure mate 30 will be even better!

Im not a fan of huawei i want to share my experience in this phone, but i could say this is the best smart phone, 1st camera is really impressive no need a DSLR, 2nd Battery is super sufficient i use it for 1charged only for the whole day, battery chargin is super fast.... no need to wait more than hours to full charged your phone, 3rd kirin 980 is super smooth no lag, heavy games super smooth, UI super fluid, 4th waterproof , no regret of buying this phone, really worth it, you will not disappoint. thanks huawei for giving us new technology specially in photography.

I can't think of any reason to use the loud speaker other than ringing tone and alerts. Usually I see people using headset while watching videos or listening to music on their phones. For me loud speaker volume and stereo sound doesn't matter. What matter is the sound quality when listening to headphones. And it is Dolby Atmos.

The S10 uses its own exynos 9820 in most devices in Europe which is slower than the Kirin 980 despite what the benchmarks say. Just watch Gary Explains p30 vs s10e which has the exynos processor in it. Only the snapdragon version is ahead of the Kirin 980 not the exynos SOC. The Kirin is fast enough.

Steven or Stefan or mAP or whoever you are, stereo speaker is not an issue. You cannot even appreciate it when in crowded noisy places. At home it is better to connect to a WIRED headset or speaker. I even have a tablet with nice stereo loud speaker but I have never use it because it is connected to a WIRED subwoofer speaker. So stop this useless issue with stereo loud speaker.

I'd say no. Your Mate 20 Pro is definitely less than 6 months old, and it should be working perfectly fine. P30 is same as mate 20, just with better camera. Wait for mate 30,which will definitely have a camera as good as the P30 and has a brand new chipset and OS as well.

P30 Pro does not use Samsung screens at all cause Samsung does not sell to anyone their curved screens. Only regular P30 uses Samsung screens while the Pro is BOE. Therefore regular P30 should have higher nit brightness and look bit better than the Pro while also draining more battery. BOE screens are dimmer and are the best for battery life!!
