for me it's a very practical phone,,,but there is a big problem for me that no computer can send to it any folder with the infrared port...i bought it 3 years ago,,it's wonderfull except the infrared i didn't use this option until now

I used this phone for almost two years. Its a nice phone anyway. I dropped it down several times but nothing happened. But in my last one or two mothns with it, the keypad was not functioning properly.(I had to press more than once to get the outcome) Anyway its a cool phone. But you cant use the infrared to transfer data. Its getting activated but no option to transfer. Earphone and the mic was excellent. And also the display.

I had been using SGH-C230 for over 2 yrs. It is a good phone in terms of size & weight. As most users seem to complain about infrared not working, I wish to share my experience here. C230 IR connection is not for data transfer between two mobile phones. IR in this phone is meant only for data transfer to PC using a Samsung PC Studio. IR port is also widely used as Infrared Modem for Internet browsing. And it works perfectly well. Since I use a laptop, I usually dialup internet using Infrared connection between Laptop & C230. And it works fine. Also I have loaded lot of ringtones and Photos through the infrared connection, using the PC studio. What it really lacks is some basic features like:- 1. Speakerphone 2. Stopwatch 3. Ring cancelling 4. Silent mode (without Vibrator) 5. Simultaneous Vibra+Ringer 6. Alarm Snooze 7. Same port for USB connection and charging which makes charging impossible when connected to PC.

IR of this phone only for send images and ring tones(less than 40kb)from pc to mobile as i tested.I test with IR dongle attached to USB.I think samsung doesnt care about ir of this phone to develop.Quality sound but not loud.Nice design,light weight and easy to use.

I am using the phone for more than a year now and i can say that i am happy for my choice,the phone have very good screen, sound, software, design and lots of good features. The phone have some small weaknesses like the IR, i tried to make it work but no success so i bought serial connection and its working great,now i can put my own pictures and rings but can't download games from your PC :(. The other bad thing is the confirmation massage when you delete a number or saving something it takes about 4 sec. to disappear and to come over that you need to click cancel every time so you don't wait. I think that the phone overall performance is very good and can have 8.5/10 on quality scale.

i bought this c 230 last year,works well in this part of africa but the IR doesn't work. it can even show temperature just type *#0228# and u can get the whole menu of shortcuts by typing *#4357# remember every shortcut is 4 digit and starts with *# and ends with#. the GPRS is considerably fast

I bought samsung C230 in december 2005,Very beautiful and i loved every facility in it including the ringtones alarms,calenders and most important the FM . one day in june the phone started hanging once i press the on button it displayed the sim card error message.Unfortunetly the distributor had given me a six months warranty.Upto now no service provider knows the problem some says its the IC Others its the software. I would kindly request you to help me or i mean say what could be wrong with the phone because it has never fallen or kept in wet places. I have bought it. It has rather disappointe me. Surely ringtone volume is low as compared to other sets or the same price. Navigation is poor. Infrared port is very very dull and lousy. what more can i say

I have had this phone for a week and find it user friendly. It serves my needs well. I am not one who goes for camera, 3G etc...so this phone is perfect. Would be better if navigation was easier and if it has ringtone profiles. Will give it a 7 out of 10

Just one word for this phone .. AWESOME !!! Pros: A very good buy at around 4k .. very slim n elegant in design. So light that at times i forget that i have my cell in my hand. Screen color is gr8. Battery life seems to be around 2 days (i use the fm almost 4 hrs daily). Fits in ur palm smartly. Cons: 1> I had only one thing in my mind while selecting the cell. The FM should sound good. It has satisfied my needs 101%. I have seen ppl commenting about the poor standard of the FM, but as per my view its the best sound (comparable to sony ericsson k750i) at this price and equally competent with the costlier models. 2> I havent yet tested the IR compatibility with my laptop, once i do i'll get back with the review. 3> One major thing it lacks is the bluetooth. But what more can we ask at so less cost !! 4> Simple phone functionalities like profile settings etc are lacking (miss a few more such shortcuts which are present in nokia) 5> Keypad is small and problematic in typing large sms. Then i am not a habituated sms-er .. All in all i can say that if your budget is

Nice phone in less price, most of the ppl complain about its infra red but i tell you there is no trouble with its infra. those having trouble with its infra-red comm with pc should download the samsung software from samsungs website: if this link does not work then try searching the following executables from on internet: 1. SGH-C230 Samsung PC Studio PIMS & File Manager (ver.II 1.0) PC Link Software (for transfor of PIMS) 2. SGH-C230 Samsung PC Studio Image Editor (ver.II 1.0) 3. SGH-C230 Samsung PC Studio Internet Access (ver.II 1.0) 4. SGH-C230 Samsung PC Studio USB Driver (ver.II 1.0) you dont need the 4th item if you are communicating with ir port of ur phone. i my self can transfer pims data from phone. i had to just install the 1st software. good luck

I m using this set for 10 months. First of all battery backup is awful..Not at all upto mark. Infra red port is there just for show..Doesn't works. Ringtone volume pretty low.. Good points: Looks and weight..Color resolution is superb.

It is a average phone , battery is very poor, need to recharge every day. Keys are very small , difficult to type long msg.The letters on key buttons are very small and difficult to read. As far as other features are concern it is just ok and nothing great about it , X620 is much better .

I have downloaded some games (both free & paid). Free games are available at GetJar.com. The problem is that I could download only 6 games i.e. when I try to download 7th game it says no free space available but actually 60% of memory is free. It seems it does not allow max 4 (preinstalled) + 6 (downloaded) games. Samsung should look into it. Any comments?

This mobile is the best of all in audio. Its execellent. But there is some defaults thats it does not have the feature of profile. If this facility is provided there would be no drawback in this set. Other than than this is the best mobile i can recommend for any one.

Dear all It is a really nice phone. You should use the software GPRS version 2.1.8 which works well and not any of the PIMS. The link has been provided by Tony in page 6(14-9-2005). You will be able to upload ringtones and images from laptop to the phone but not vice versa. I am using my Toshiba Satellite A60 and it works fine with me. Good luck. Ravi

Hi! Already I had SGH-A800, now I have purchased the SGH-C230. Comparing the two mobiles C230 is very poor. Example: 1. Inbox - if we have to go to the next SMS, we have to click -> (right button)and we have to goto the previous SMS and get the message. But in A800 we just get the message by clicking -> (right button). Like this there are some difficulties in menu builder. (A800 vs C230)

Hi Ali Hyder, Walaikum salam in fact the Infra red port doesnot work with other mobiles like NoKia, Sony Ericson and sumsung itself. It works only with the PC i.e IR device. For this you have to purchase IR Port.

Hey Median/Naveed, No vibration, no sound???? its better to switch off your phone & keep it. Vibration is provided just to alert you incase of a call when phone is in silent mode. If you don't want both then it is as good as keeping your phone switched off.

Hi guys, I am from Pakistan where the mobile technology is at its top. I would like to talk about C230. It's very smart and good phone. I personally like it. The sound quality, the picture quality and the FM radio is outstanding. You can say that life would be complete when you are having this phone. NOw the main issue. Although Samsung is a very good name in the mobile world but the major issue which they are facing is that whenever they lauch Infrared port mobile, it doesnot work with other mobiles'. Same is the problem with this phone. The competitors like Nokia and Sony Ericson are very good in this context. So i think Samsung should consider this problem of IR. The ringtones are nice. OVerall Samsung is a very good company and it is one of the top reliable cell companines of the world. I think you guys agree me on this. Take care Bye.

You can access the first level menu by pressing center button (center between 4 way navigation key - 'i' button). To play the game you can also do the same (pressing select only give you information abut game version and vendor). If you already be used to use this phone. You'll know that this phone is very good.

the phone i have had for over 3 months now. well its radio reception is poor. the other prob is its infra which i am sure any samsung mobile infra doesnt work with since they are put up only for show. otherwise a good solid phone droppped it many times .. put it thru some tests so far so good... !

I am using this phone for the past 3 months. very good. the display is excellent. FM radio is also nice. but I feel its radio receiving capability is not so good as nokia. becaz sometimes it becomes mono then it jumps back to stereo. ofcourse, the receiption might have been better while moving. but as for as the phone is considered, I recommend it. 7/10

Packs a lot but Lacks a lot Samsung C-230 was the only phone model which packs certain powerful features around the budget of Rs.5000/-. Few ''PROS'' are mentioned as follows:- 1. High color resolution of 65k. 2. 1000 number phonebook memory. 3. Triband. 4. GPRS Class 10. 5. Infrared connectivity. (IrDA works nicely with PC. Pls read on.) 6. FM Radio. 7. 40-chord polyphonic ring tone. (Can also play voice & song based ringtones.) 8. Voice memo recorder. 9. Handsfree kit. 10. Decent battery life, reception and voice clarity. I personally purchased this set just considering four main features IrDA, GPRS, Triband and FM Radio. But after possessing it, I found that this phone lacks certain basic features which can make it irritating for people used to Nokia or Sony Ericsson. And the ''CONS'' are :- 1. Although display size is 128x128, it can transfer pictures of size 128x97 only. 2. Phonebook is accessible after three clicks at least. 3. FM Radio is pathetic and works only with very strong signal. 4. When loudspeaker works for FM radio, what problem Samsung developers had in giving loudspeaker for voice calls also ? This is an advantage in Nokia phones. 5. One cannot silent the ringtone for incoming calls. You have to either accept it or reject it to stop the phone from ringing. This is an advantage in Nokia phones. 6. The Ring type ''Vibra+Melody'' is useless as both don't go together. Only after three vibrations the melody will start. In such case some callers may drop the call after three rings, thinking that I am busy. 7. Handsfree earphone does not give ring indication. So if your phone was in silent mode you will miss all calls with the earphone on. 8. This phone seems to pick up lot of background noise making it irritating for the caller on other side when I use the phone in a noisy area. 9. Voice-memo provides recording for only 30 seconds which makes it practically useless as compared to voice-recording facility as featured in Nokia/Sony phones. 10. And Guys, the worst thing for me is that the Alarm does not have "snooze" facility. I will hold Samsung responsible for my "late-coming" to office. Tech tips:- As reported by some users about the Infra port not functioning, let me clarify that SGH C-230 infrared is fully functional with PC and I had used it to transfer images, ringtones, phonebook, SMS etc. What has been reported is true to some extent because the file manager PIMS II version 2.0 has some bugs which makes it non-functional. One should download the PIMS II version 1.0 file which can be taken from Samsung SGH X-430 software library instead of SGH C-230 library. This version 1.0 makes file transfer fully functional when connected to PC through Infrared port. Even GPRS can be connected through Infrared port by dialing *99# from PC. So finally, I would say that, if one can put up with the discomforts listed above, this handset is a good purchase considering the slim looks and light weight and advanced features.

TO ALL HAVING PROBLEMS IN CONNECTING C-230 C-230 does not support transfer of Ringtones and Images through IrDa... IrDa can only support Transfer of SMS.. and also IrDa is also not compatible with any of the cellphone.. 2) to connect through CABLE... get the PIMS software for C-230.. available on the site.. and connect it to the USB...(the USB u connect becomes the COM)...in the software>> settings >> Choose the Desired COM (COM 1/2/4)...and data speed of 19200 bps.. this will show the status of C-230 in the lower bar... otherwise it'll show OFFLINE

hi there problem no 1.u cant copy ur all sim card entries.there is no option like copy all.so copy 1 by 1 and think if u have 170 phone numbers then how much time it will take.second problem u only transfer data through cable or usb infrared.u cant transfer like mobile to mobile like sonyericsson.problem 3.radio cant catch signals during travel or in outskirts.only shape and style is good.and cheaper.thanx.

I`ve got my C230 1 mt ago,on my opinion the radio & ring oprt weakly.Problems with connecting PC,infrared don`t oprt securely,button#5 don`t oprt with first touch sometimes.But concerning to price & class of this phone,it`s not bad.Basic fittings is nice design,slim,light,comfortable in use,easiest menu & access to any options,good looks.In spite of some troubles I love my Samsung and I gift the same phone to my wife.

Good phone except following problems. 1) Very SLOW RESPONSE software 2) FM radio capture is week. on travel, it works poorly due to shaking. u cant expect powerful radio like nokia phones. but clarify is good (stereo). 3) Ring tones not louder enough. Also, builtin tones are not attractive. just fit for kid's toys!!!. 4) co-ordination of Hearphone & handset while is very poor. Example: when u r listening Radio, if u get a call, earphone stops radio , but ring tone will b heard in handset, but not in Earphone.... many many probs like this....

Hi guys!!! i have a good news for those who have problems with missed calls... all of u ..DO one thing.. Go to Menu>Sound Settings>Alert Type> choose melody only... ur mobile will ring just as other mobiles do...u'll b able to know missed calls too.. if u use vib+melody...the melody starts after 3 bells.. that may be so cuz of slow working...but only in melody..it works as all of us want it to...SO ENJOY>.....and RELAX...U've got the rite choice:)

c-230 looks good . but processing is very slow . even ring tone sound is low . fm not good as nokia if there is small shake is hand set then the sound becomes low . the cell is light weight so it is very good for transportation . memory is good . if you compare c-230 other cell of same cost it is the best of its class

The matter about the Samsung SGH-C230 mobile phone (which is not a bad selection) is that, there is a need of some improvements like as below : � There should be a more power full battery for a lengthy & long drive entertainment. � A need for an icon on the top of Screen for showing the connectivity with FM-tuner. � There is no keypad lock time is given ( I mean I can not fix my self a appropriate time for auto-keypad locking system) which I am missing a lot. � The full volume of Ring Tones of this gadget is very very low although the earlier Mobile Phone of this series (Samsung C100) has a louder Volume of ring tones. � This model takes a long time for keypad lock as compare to Samsung other models. � The absence of Screen savers system is really makes me surprise. � The default games of this Mobile set are not very attractive & entertaining, so there is a need of a replacement. hi, Some of u have complained bout the battery backup... Actually battery backup greatly depents on the signal strength u receive.. if the serving tower is in a distant place u receive only a small signal and the mobile phone requires a very high power to stay connected draining the battery very quickly, this is often missinderpretted as poor battery backup... but if u go to a place wer the signal is high enough... u will get the aproximate talktime as well as standby time shown in the specification sheet.. this is a fact for not only C230 but all the mobile phones in this world, believe me this is an Electronics Engineer speaking. -regards.

I bought this phone recently and had the same problem of not being able to transfer the images or phone numbers despite getting IR connectivity with my laptop. I went to the service centre where I was provided with a Easy GPRS software version 2.1 which solved all the problem and worked well. I think Samsung should consider providing a CD with this software loaded when buying the phone or provide the right software in its site. I wasted time downloading the PC Studio software twice which did not work.

First of all, i have to give credits to u guys because i have selected this phone after reading your reviews posted here. thanks for that. It is a beautiful phone indeed. the plus points are it has great display wtih UFB and 65K colors. I bought it mainly keeping inmind 2 things, the display and radio. In that, I was successful. The radio quality is excelent. The only thing is that we have to attach earphones as it serves as antenna for the radio adn we have to adjust the wires properly. then only we will get good qulaity and sound. But the sound clarity is great. I checked out other phones offering the qualities i wanted for example nokia 6030, but its display is not that good and the radio qulaity is also mono. Then i decided this. Anybody wants to have good color (65K) display wtih FM radio go for Samsung c230. This is my personal opinion. Thank you. Abdul

It's a good phone with its price. It has a elegant shape and battery is good but there are some problems. 1. You can't copy your all phone numbers from SIM card to phone memory in one step. You have to copy them individually. 2. Phone sound isn't turned off complately. 3. Adding word to T9 library is not easy. 4. The first day of calendar is Sunday and it's not changed. There is no option for changing the day. 5. Some process are too slow. For example: button lock, deleting SMS 6. Radio voice is not hear from speaker without earphone.

to connect via IR you have to go to pc studio then file and go to setup and empty the check box then manually select the IR port then you can stablish the connection but only you can download the sms not the phonebook i tried alot but phone book not working may be some problem with the software

1. In ringtones, in the sound settings, there are are three modes: Melody, Vibrate and Melody+Vibrate. I can get the first two to work. But Melody+Vibrate is producing only vibrate. Is is the fault with my set or are others also facing this problem. 2. In Phone settings, own no., I have input my cell no. But cannot edit the name. The cursor won't move. the set is pretty good....light..nice colour..exact size...and badly deserves a camera...but there are no shortcut keys to the inbox which is the most important one..not forgetting the phonebook.the most important thing is that its infrared is of no use and the messaging becomes slower and slower as i keep typing...is there any solution for this?

Hi Bhagyesh, I agree with you on all the items except the following : 1. i have a pc cable for this phone from samsung and it has 3 ports. one goes to pc, the other to mobile and the third one excepts a battery charger. so no battery drain while you are surfing on pc with this phone. 2. i use this phone connected to pc and surf gprs too very well.

hi to all c230 club. now that i have used this handset for a substantial period i would like to point on to some of its pro's and con's. the best part of the phone is its size,looks and a great display resolution. no nokia phone could turn up such a display for around 5000 bucks. and speaking about fm its more than worth (only when you using it in open spaces and with earphones on). also you can store multiple nos. for a single identity hence no need to pile up the nos.. this feature is seen only sony ericson phones at such low end. sms and phone book memory is great. but now over with talking all goodies. the phone really struggles when it comes to operating speed. just have to wait for ages to get the phone unlocked. no shortcut access to phonebook possible hence one has to get into it all the way sequentially. this i really frustating for the ones who are used to with nokia handsets. also no option to copy nos. from phone to sim and vice versa. hence number transfers not possible at all and send to many option for messages is not available. about the radio; reception quality gets pathetic when travelling and even while stationary you need to adjust the antenna (earphone wire) and the phone position frequently. reception of 93.5 and 93.5 is crystal clear but getting the rest of channels to audibilty is a tremendous task. also the volume on speaker phone mode is not that great and to swap through channels you have to use the handset only, not possible by the mic button. the charger port cover feels too delicate and the body plastic doesnt make a great fit and crackles when pressing on to the bottom keys. as the usb port and charger port is same, you cannot remain connected to a pc beyond the battery life. ir port doesnt work but i have no regrets as samsung didnt boast about it anyway. what remains to be seen is the gprs on pc mode. no yet possible as being a new model usb cable and software not available yet even with samsung. i hope with gprs class 10 should be working as good as the nokia high end models. overall i recommend n6610 over c230. but the production of n6610 gsm is now stopped and the camera is not worth in the n6610i version .

I got C230 from authorised dealer in Ludhiana, Punjab, India. IR was not Working. I checked it with around 4 mobiles & 1 laptop. Reported the problems to Samsung Customer Service Plaza, Ludhiana which lacked qualified/trained personnel as well as the software/parts for the model as it is a new launch in India. I filled feedback forms at samsungindia website & mailed to [email protected] but to no avail. I just got harassment, waste of petrol/time & a few scratches on the set. The samsung people didn't even know that games start with 'i' switch. FM radio just catches 1 station whereas normal radios catch around 5. HIGHLY DISSATISFIED

Hey guys, If you need to access internet on your pc or connect with the PIMS & file manager through this c230 handset you can use any of this following model usb data cables all are suitable for the c 230 The cables are SGH v200, S300, X430, D410, E600, C200s, C200N, N700 I am currently using D410 cable and it is working fine (good data speed and no problems) GPRS connection is airtel. You can get this cables either in samsung main service center (cost Rs. 900) or in market(cheap) Its really good hand set for the internet,stero FM and of course small and sexy look.

I have bought C230. Great Display. I also have the same problem as sodhi(7-8-2005), only SMS could be down & up loaded. Please let me know if you have found a solution for it. I am using Samsung PC Studio II 2.0 PIMS & file manager on Windows2000 (service pack 4).

To TK Saha: The only difference I knew is that x140 >> has mono radio c230 >> has stereo radio I read this on mobile-review.

Being a Nokia fan for years it was hard to turn to the C230. I have to get a phone with IR & FM-R without a camera (I've got a N3200) and this seems to be the next best choice after the N6810 which is not available over here. I just want to be sure of the IR capability of this phone (its not listed above as available, whats up with that?)... can it be used to transefer data to a pc and to connect to the net?

Yes, facing the SAME problem through datacable also. I think the phone is not designed for PC Link. Only GPRS. Anyone have more inputs on this?

HI tried to connect this mobile to laptop through IR port. Sdly, only the sms's got uploaded. There seems to be some bug in the software of the phone, because it doesn't upload the phonebook. Furhter, when I wanted to send some wallpapers to the mobile via the IR, the option is not available in the software of the mobile. I had downloded the latest softwares given against this C-203 model. Does any one else find similar problems. What are the solutions for this problem? Reds.

well, C200 is newer then X100, display is BETTER, plus C200 got ANSWERING MACHINE ..which X100 doesnt, my opinion, go for C200... memory is essential if u recieve more MMS etc..

Hi Sumit, Price of Data Cable was 900 rs. and ya its from Samsung. (but now i know other cheap cables are also available. but anyway. the samsung one is working fine.) If you look for non-samsung, ask for samsung X430 cable. i think they are compatible. Yes i surf Internet through this GPRS phone. i connect my phone to PC with this cable and use everythingn of internet (mails, surf etc.etc.) but you need GPRS enabled mobile service provider. mine is Airtel. the rent in my area is 150 rs. flat. no other charges (air time etc.) at all. it works. no datacable from samsung without any software/cd. others do give cd. I brought the phone on last Monday, Every thing is fine with the Phone, but only one thing bothering is Talk time. In Specification Samsung have mention 3h talk time and 150h Stand by time. But unfortunatly I am getting Talk time of just 40-45 Min. which is too less. Even one of my friend has the same model , we both have pruchased in a week time. He is also facing the same problem.

I bought Samsung C230 about 10. That time, the price was 5400/-. It is a cute little phone with 65K colors, FM radio and IR port. This phone can be considered to be an upgrade of Samsung C200. So this review will be more of a comparative one between C200 and C230. The physical dimensions and weight of C230 and C200 are same, except that C230 looks a little longer due to shiny area surrounding the display. Both weigh 70gms. The buttons are small just like in C200, but are convenient to use as they are made slightly longer. Certain options in the menu are removed in C230 when compared to C200. Though they are not important, you might have loved to have them. Navigation is not at all a problem. Some tones which are loud in C200, are not so loud in C230, and vice-versa. (Not sure if there is some prob with my handset alone). Display of C230 looks much brighter with the same setting as compared to C200. The colors are beautiful as the mobile has 65 K. (Nokia does not have a mobile with 65K colors until you spend atleast INR 8000). The quality of FM reception is very good. The ear phone are fine. We can save up to 30 frequencies of FM stations and can tune in easily to enjoy the music. The ring tones are loud enough and sound more like other polyphonic ringtones. The battery life seems to be fine. With normal usage, it needed to be charged ones in 2 and a half days. (This includes about an hour FM playing and regular talk time for me). On the whole it has been a wonderful experience so far.

here are some problems...i am facing with C230...can some user of C230 fix it ??? 1) in www.mobile-review.com it is written that C-230 has two types of MENU INTERFACE....one with vertical..and one with animation..i do have the pre-built animation on screen one..but the guide has nothing to change the menu to vertical..plz tell me where is it... 2) the default theme is CYAN ... is there any way to change the colour of the theme...or the colour of the BLUE BAR..??? 3) the infra red port does not seem to work wih Nokia 7220...and sony -erricsson Z200 ?? though with nokia 6600..it does recognize another infra red zone...in the vicinity..but to no avial..is it compatible only with samsung ones ?? [never tried though] ??

hi sodhilogin well i do use the FM for atleast..4 hours..and voice quality is Superb..now..the batery does give backup of 3 days...when used 25 minutes talk and 15 minutes using oter feature...[FM not included]

hi ali well the c230 also..has the capacity to store 200 SMS...the specs says the talktime is 170 minutes..and standby time is 200 hours..well i am using this phone for about a week now..but the batery does not seem to last more than 1 day... maybe coz i use many of the features..like bulk SMS..and FM....

hello everyone Looking for the BEST REVIEW..read this i just bought this phone yesterday....and i am in complete love with it. the phone looks really cute and small..and is WEIGHTLESS [70 gms]....the FM quality is AWESOME...no..disturabnce and crystal clear sound..the INTERFACE and EASE OF USE..is also appreciable...the menu is just like Sony-erricsson phones ..and not like other X-100 and X-600 types..th sound is also pretty decent..the 40 channel phone just ROCKS.[being a polyphonic it is pretty decent..].the sound is a bit low than Samsung X-430..but still NEAT.Haven't really tried out the IrDA port..so no comments..[but heard that IrDA port are compatible with other Samsung Phones IrDA] now let's come out at the downside of this Phone...the KEYPAD is AWFUL..the keys are Cramped and Fighting for the given space...the space is not enough..and u have to use ur tip of thumb to access the keys [ this affects in long run]....and the screen size is a bit small as compared to models compared in the same range..[nokia 3120 , even X100]...but due to the crystal clear 65 k colurs and quality...i went for this phone...this phone is an excellent buy for the users looking for "FEATURE RICH PHONE'...but are "TIGHT ON BUDGET"..i got this phone for INR . 5500..and was a STEAL..in this price...

hi Rohan, X430 doesnot have a display on the flip. Secondly, it doesnot have IR. Moreover, for a flip phone it has a very small display (128x128) too. Thirdly, it is only dual band. But if only owning a flip phone is ur requirment, then u can go for that as it is quite cheap. Else, go for C230 which is 3-band, has IR and also comes with FM radio. Reg.

Great phone.. just say it in the shop and am back to read the review. The gray model looks real cool. Price is around INR 5,600 in my town, will be atleast INR 300 less in metros. The best thing is the FM radio and IR which were not present in C200. And the battery backup with ear phone for FM is 27 Hrs accordning to Sansung website: Enjoy!

Out of C200, C210 and C230, this is the best one. C200 is dual band, C210 is tri-band and C230 is tri-band with fm radio and infra-red.
