I got this phone in January 2010 after bricking my Viewty. Music player sounded pretty authentic! Camera was 8MP and man pictures were actually pretty clean!! Video recording was the best! Bad part was it didn’t seem to recognize the memory card.. smh Had a lot of phone with this phone as my assistant. It actually broke when it fell into a second story death after 5 months. I ended up getting a Blackberry at that point.. so I actually felt conflicted. I loved the IM and emails but hated not having the music and camera!!!

If it still matters, the Renoir, it used to last maybe a day. Depending on how heavy you use it. Using internet browser, games, camera and other apps will drain your phone battery. The battery is very weak like most of the LG feature phones. But if you're just texting, and calling and light use, it lasts fairly well. But this phone it is hard NOT to use the apps because it is designed for fun.. lol

Yes I agree a well designed phone camera and lens with very clear slow mo low format maybe but a real lens by Schneider-Kreuznach. Schneider are preparing external lenses for the 6 but the Renoir lens was very well balanced.

Came to pay my respect to this amazing phone. I fell in love with it when I first got it. Played movies at full resolution, music player was delicious to my ears. Also the camera was just downright amazing specially for its time! The quality was great and I caught many great moments with this phone! Also featured some neat built in apps and features!! Video editing and picture editing was a breeze and battery lasted pretty decent!! I now own a BlackBerry Z10 but felt I should pay my respects to this amazing phone :) LG Reno it you were an awesome friend mate :)

This phone is/was amazing! Definitely the strongest phone I've ever owned. After three years of constant drops and two complete water submersion, it is still FULLY functional. The camera is phenomenal for it's time. I like it so much I even gave it a nickname lol xD

I received my LG KC910 3 weeks ago and over this period of time it has worked for about 4 days. The phone freezes and shuts itself off. Latterly it would look like it was on but nothing would appear on the screen other than a very faint background light then it would fade out. The battery is fully charged and I haven�t had it on or used it enough to use up any of the handset memory. I am very disappointed in the company I bought it from as they are ignoring my messages that I have issues. They did not take so long to take the money from my account. Shame really as sound quality, picture clarity and ease of use was great..if only it would work. Waste of money.

Yes you can use this phone to tether a laptop/pc very easily and it works like a charm! I have been doing this for a few years on this phone and never had any problems.

You just need to install the software on your laptop/pc that came on the cd with the phone.Then all you do is open the lg pc suite software and select "internet kit" (make sure the phones usb option is set to internet) and thats it! your laptop will see the phone as a connection and you just select it!

I removed the screen protector of my LG KC910 Renoir and clean the screen with alcohol now i have problem with the keypad its not responding anymore whenever i touch the unlock key it doesnt work anywork i just have to use the right side button to unlock it,and when i type a message it goes to my folder or sometimes it always prompt for insert options, i can no longer type messages,Can somebody help me to fix this or do i need to change the screen or lcd.

had this phone for nearly 2 yrs, just replaced battery for $7, battery life is great. bought for $180 australian originally. not as good as an iphone (of course) is very good as a phone and excellent as a camera. operating system is a little slow and needs a micro sd card that has a fast write speed (at least class 6) for fluent HD video capture. touch screen requires you to press firmly (resistive not capacitive) great to use on wifi however I still havent worked out how to use it as a mobile modem connected to laptop etc.

cons: Annoying menu. It returns to index page instead of previous page. Sometimes shortcuts launch wrong functions. After taking photo camera isnt ready for another shot but still waiting for user action. You cant set filename template. Hidden access to memory card. Not sufficient low battery warning. It doesnt terminate running applications to save energy. pros: great look, big clock and calendar, sd card slot outside of casing, wifi, detachable phones (you can connect phone to car radio easily), nice quality of pictures. If you are going to use camcorder make sure that micro sd card is fast enough. Class 4 cards fall behind.

ive been using this phone for almost one year now.Got it from ebay. the best thing of this phone as u already read it is its camera..jst wow..u can take out pictures as ever u required them and the landscape option on it is jst marvelous.. for the sound system until u remain in a not too noisy environment the sound is wonderful..u can easily watch an HD movie on youtube with feeling of having stereo around u... and mostly the phne is so so so easy to use..anyone can use it now coming to odd side the battery damn battery it will not last a whole day if u use all the assets..then come the software side all those who use to download million of enhancing software for ur mobile this is not the mobile for u.. on an overall point of view the phone worth the price..easy to use and a camera which edge perfection

It actually looks and feels less clunky than the pictures. If you can put up with a resistive (not capacitive) touch screen it is excellent. Sometimes you select things when you want to scroll, and sometimes it doesn't scroll as much as you want. You don't have to push too hard, but you do have to be consistent. The camera is AWESOME aside from the fact it has no manual White Balance (I don't think any camera-phone has) And if you pick the right preset you can get excellent (but not perfect) shots (but if you want perfect shots you'd carry a dedicated camera with you wouldn't you?) Customisable Multitasking Key is great - access to your most used functions with one button push, and End All tasks with three. T9 intelligence and touch screen responsiveness is WAY batter than KU990 Viewty. ANY capacitive touch-screen is MUCH nicer to use but the cameras and flashes aren't as good...

I've had this phone for a almost a year now and the first few months of having this LG Renoir had been very exciting. But then the phone became frustrating as it is VERY VERY laggy (the lagginess didn't affect my love for it for the first few months cause I was too excited to worry about it :D ). It's touchscreen isn't as responsive as you'd like it to be, but it still does work.. But the most best feature of this phone is its 8 mp camera!

I have an LG Renoir and can not recommend them.. As stated.. they are a PITA to use. Texting is a PITA. Ring volume is poor, If you work/are in a mildly noisy area you can not hear it ring.. Mp3 Ringtone no better. Camera takes reasonable pictures but the phone itself is a POS

Shayla, had Renoir one yr. this is a classy model with best camera out. software upgrades help ans screen behaves like a capacitive. Well worth the money but the next iphone will be 8 mega pixel and will outclass Renoir every other way. But Renoir does nearly everything. Bluetooth, dolby, and beatiful to hold / look at. photo edit is fun

get a piece of paper, fold it so the fold is sharp. CAREFULLY part screen and metal side with your finger nail. Carefully scrape out gunk in the side of the phone (dead skin, dried sweat, dust) The screen may be blocked by build up of stuff and may be stopping the receptor thingys from working the touch screen. But since your phone is new this shouldn't happen. Take it back to where you bought it or call LG.

Save your money. Looks great on the specs sheet but is a PITA to use. The GUI is very sluggish and inacurate and the flash is fully automatic, i.e., you can't turn it on manually and it needs to be pitch dark for it to fire. Worst phone I've ever used.

Great phone, but there are a few problems. The phone is sluggish at all most everything it does and it is very slow to get into the camera so its very easy to miss stuff because of it. Otherwise its great.

I have this mobile and a lg gw520. I had the gw520 at first but I lost it, so started to use Renoir. I lost the gw520 back in April and found it out in the garden today, works perfectly, the same as it did before... I've went back to the gw520 because it's a much better looking phone... I don't care about camera and it has the qwerty keyboard... Also the user interface is much better on the gw520... It's a much runner mobile to play with and looks better too, with good features (just not as good as the Renoir, though). I gave the Renoir to my brother.

It is the king of the camera phones. I have it for 8 months now. I have pushed it to the maximum several times. Going on wifi and texting at the same time, opening multiple pages, talking. In offline mode battery lasted couple of days taking pictures and videos. Wifi works great, remembering wifi pass wherever I was before (I was on vacation.) Sounds great, no bugs. I flashed it a month ago and it works fine. Now it is a little bit slower but who gives a damn. I used K800 and N82 before, this one is marvelous.

Got this phone for my girlfriend. No problems whatsoever. In terms of quality to price, not much beats it. I work in a Vodafone store so I see lots of phones come and go. Here in Australia they just dropped to $199 .... Can't go wrong there. Menu lacks colour, but everythign works quick and without hassles. Good phone overall

10%1 out of 10 i have this phone for a year. I got it very expensive. It does not worth it's money. The plasticks are cheap. The touchscreen is laggy. You have to press twice some times Some other times it does not respond or you accidentally activate something while scrolling The firmware is very laggy. Nothing downloadable. You can only install java games but you can't play them because the handling is very dificult & laggy. Wifi & browser are very slow & laggy. youtube player quality is bad. YOU CAN'T ACCESS GOOGLE MAPS THROUGH WI-FI!!!!!!!!! AN-BELEVABLE!!!! IT CAN ONLY WORK THROUG 3G ( MONEY CHARGING) You can't use .gif files for wallpaper. No screen saver. The phonecall quality is really bad. All people say to me that i sound distand & funny... You cant' hear clearly the caller. The text messaging is laggy. It's really dificult when you wan't to change language durin texting... No better support from lg. The latest firmware they released was about a 1,5 year ago... The battery last for about 1,5 days... The only good thing in this phone is the 8 mgpixel camera and the vga 30fps sec. reconder. but when videorecording there are some gaps recording... After all this i am thinking of keeping it just as a digital camera and use my old phone ass a Cell phone!!!! ( because i gave a lot of money and ican't buy a similar phone so soon ) Very dissapointed... :( I think i waste my money and i feel like sucker... :(

Great phone! Volume during conversation is pretty loud, much louder than Sony w910(which got excellent mark for loudness, and this got average??). Great camera. Saving video into divx format is fantastic thing, which I don't know any other company implements. That saves a lot of time(converting on pc)and space on mobile. Usage is simple, and it got everything I need already installed. I use it as a mobile, video player, music player, e-book reader..it works great for all. Little low resolution for internet usage, flash makes a litte bluish photos, but great phone..more I use it more I like it

This is an excellent phone ,I have it for almost a year and no problems i use it with a 8GB microsd card. Camera features are awesome; excellent menu , touch screen works very good , never failed.WiFi excellent the browser and operating system way better that Nokia and Motorola (I had those before).All what you see in the adverstised video on LG website works like charm. Down side: I will say a little bulky and the streamming from the internet is a pain. Other else work superb. I will give thsi phone 8.5 out of 10

Not a good phone. The phone charger connections shorts out and the phone turns off then you need to take the battery out then back in, freezes, touch screen plays up all up a 2 out of 10

I brought this phone today, got it home and was exactly as what i expected all over, BRILLIANT!. I would reccomend to people to buy, because if you compare to the iPhone and their models this phones beats it by a long shot. It has the best camera, loud mp3 player, all over just a really great and easy phone to work and use. No you do not pay internet time to the celfon company when you are using your home wifi. WiFi is a different frequency and you can run it even without your SIM. Though i am not sure if this phone will open even without a SIM. Happy surfing :)

Well, this morning I went to K-Mart & saw this phone for $249.00. I thought about it during the day as I am in a contract with Virgin & the Nokia N97 I purchased on the plan has a cracked LCD! Therefore a prepaid phone is just about my only option. Decided to buy it & went back this afternoon, still $249.00 as advertised. Took it to the checkout & VOILA, $199.00 was the price. Battery life great. if u listen to music and use the internet alot it is still very good. But if you use it for mainly just texts and calls it has fantastic battery life and last for around 4 days. whera's using music and internet last about a couple of days. :)

I've got a Renoir. It multitasks brilliantly - there is a dedicated multitask button. It runs j2me 2.0 java apps, so it runs basically anything out there. Apps are normally split screen - a pseudo keyboard is underneath the java window. For apps which are touchscreen, you can get rid of the keys by modifying the jar/jad file on your PC (download an app to do this :)

Having owned and used both KC910 and KM900, by far the Renoir. (For one, the KM900 software broke after a month and needed upgrading). The widget works better on the 910, the camera is much better (8mega pixels is the best atm) and the screen sensitivity is just more responsive. However, battery wise and internal memory the KM900 was better and bigger. Partly the battery thing tho is i think b/c I find myself wanting to use the renoir/KC910 much more ie take more photos and sms lots...i mean lots. I got one of those little pens and its awesome. KM 900 doesn't have handwriting recog either. I spent one train ride drawing and adding in the emoticons I wanted in my templates sections. That was fun...

I have had the Renoir for just over 15 months had a blown speaker on the first one after 6 weeks but the one i got as a replacement has been faultless. The gps on stand alone setting is very accurate, Camera takes perfect pictures (even a professional photographer thought the pics came from a dedicated camera). I find the touch screen is really responsive too.

After 10 months of owning this phone it has given me nothing but problems. First the speaker went out, now the touchscreen is malfunctioning constantly. I expected more from a top of the line phone, but apparently LG couldn't even get this phone to perform properly over a year. I am very disappointed.

ok so your phone crashes..that not a good thing. there is obviously something wrong with it..i work for network communications and i reccommend taking your phone back to where you got it and having it sent off to be fixed because there is obviously a problem with it and i have no idea why you didn't do that the first time it happened its just common sense!!

First I would like to correct some phrases you used. It is a phone so you should use "it" NOT "he" !!! Anyways, for the restart problem try formating the phone. For data transfer use a memory card reader. I don't remember using any phone cables for data transfer. I already bought this phone :) Currently I am waiting the shippment.

I bought this phone recently because I was looking for a replacement. Even though it was cheap at AUD$300, I am somewhat disappointed. The predictive text for messaging is the worst I have experienced for a mobile phone, many common words simply are non-existant in this phones vocabulary. The touchscreen can often be unresponsive. The 8mp camera is also less than I expected based on the rave reviews it got. I took some comparison shots to compare side by side with my Nokia 6220 and the Nokia takes better quality photos even though it's only 5mp, the Nokia photos are less grainy and the colors more lifelike. The autofocus on Renoir is less accurate too because sometimes the results are blurry photos.

Hey, so u got identical problem? LG PC Suite worked fine on XP and Vista but not on Win 7. and i don't think Win 8 is out yet, Win 7 just came out. It can still access the phone memory but not the Micro SD. :( i've tried dl latest LG Software but no luck.

First l will compare this Renoir with rival Pixon: -Renoir has xenon flash(much better then Pixons Led); -Renoir has a bit smaller body then Pixon and much better feel in hands; -Renoir has simple but fast interface,so usage is faster.Pixon has better widget and eyelike interface; -Renoir has better sound in video recording it is actually stereo so you can enjoy in PC while watching them; -Renoirs screen is a bit smaller then Pixons so this is not good; -Aps like facebook or twitter are working perfectly on both model, kinetic scrolling has a bit smoother on LG but Pixon is all most same here; -And for last even the most important is that Renoir has WI-FI and it is fast,Pixon does not have it-so no Hot SPots for Samsung here. I've had this cell for almost a year now, and i advice everybody considering bying this, not to. When i bought it in Denmark for about 500$, i started out by being happy about it. A month later the screen was totally wrecked, although i had barely used it, and had been very carefull with it. Now the camera is good for a cellphone, when used properly. The blitz doesn't really work, since it's way to strong so take pictures when theres a good light. The touch screen is also a little "slacky". If you're in a hurry, you might tend to press twice since the it sometimes react 0,5 or 1 second after you've touched it. A half-decent cell, but DEFINETELY not worth the money.

I've had phone for bout 2 months, great phone, much better than KU990. I've had no problem transfering files(photos, videos) to PC when i used Widnows XP. I installed Windows 7 yesterday but not i'm having problem. I'm using LG PC Suite that came wtih the phone, V 4.G.3.77.090206. In Windows 7 it detect and connects the phone without any problem, but it WON'T let me allow the memory card, only the phone memory. ??? Is this known problem on Win 7? do i need new software or something? any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

pls help. i tried to copy some files from the external to the internal memory. while copying i got a screen saying that there wasn't enough memory and it blocked on that screen. i tried to remove the battery, but not when i try to switch on, the phone gets stuck on the logo screen. it keeps rebooting itself but i can switch on totally to be able to delete some files from the internal memory. i tried several combinations. no sd car, no sim, pluged to charger but nothing seems to work. pls give me some advise

The phone doesn't come with an internal 8GB memory but there are available phone package that come with 8GB MicroSDcard. i got mine with 8GB a year ago and i am happy with it. As a phone it is okay, the same ol' primary functions. But as a Camera this phone is Awesome. I compared the pictures with my friend's Sony cyberShot 8.1 mp camera, but the quality of this phone camera is untouched due to the Schneider Kreuznach. The Slo-mo recording is a Plus in my opinion. As far the GARMIN Capability i do not know but it does have A-GPS. A word of caution if you are going to buy this phone is that it does LAG and it does occasionally crash for no apparent reason for which only thing to do is to take the battery out, put it back in and then turn it back on. Sometimes it might happen even twice a week. It is very annoying when that happens.

Have you ever tried to use it for a call when the recorded voice says put in a certain number such as a menu selection and you try to but because the key pad has locked again you miss what they say trying to unlock the stupid thing again? Surely theres a setting to turn off somewhere?

I am using a KC 910,It is very good for normal phone calls. But internet usere it will not be suitable. youtube video playing is not easy like other phones. Not supporting useful mobile applications. Sip call not supporting Not supporting Nimbuzz and Fring. We can take photos that is the only use of this phone.Dont think about the purchasing of this phone.This is my advise.

Because it is rubbish. we can use it as paper weight. not possible to use sip calls. not supporting any good applications. you tube not easy to play like other mobles. only we can take some photos. I'm planning to buy a touchscreen phone with closed type OS and Wi-Fi, and since thw newest generation of DivX Mobile certified handsets arrived, I'm thrilled to get one. Best possible AVI playback became my decisive feature, because I travel a lot every day, and I don't have time for conversions. Tests helped me a lot, so I could narrow it down to 2 cellies: the Samsung Jet and the LG Renoir. According to tests, the 2 phones are said to be even with AVIs. Personally I favour Renoir because of it's lower price:) So, in your opinion, how reliable is the DivX/XviD playback support of this phone? I mean is the phone capable of playing the most common size (near VGA) and bitrate (~1000kbps) AVIs? Thank you for your answers in advance..

hi, i can watch videos through wifi. what i did was create another profiles in MENU/Connectivity/Internet profiles/ add profile, then service name- wifi(any) Use proxy= off, access point= Wifi. its working for me

You can not watch Youtube Videos throught WiFi. You will have to suscribe to internet through your phone service provider. I know it sucks but that is the only way to watch Youtube videos on the LG KC901 Renoir. :(

Hi Peter Excuse my possible ignorance - I used google maps preinstalled on the phone - used it quite successfully a few times to navigate and track progress across town. Did your handset not come w it? Or are you thinking of a higher-end gps solution?

goto MENU (bottom right hand icon) then goto the third icon from top on your right side. then goto google -> Maps Google maps should load up and give your lacation. if not try resetting google maps MENU -> HELP -> Reset Google Maps

Why is it that there was no shortcut to music via handsfree... I have just changed from sony ericsson w910i to LG kc910 renoir..and its great..the camera is very very good..sound is not so loud but of good quality..dolby is great..touch screen not very very sensitive but its great..Browsing is very good..Hmmmm..The xenon flash is very good..ITS NOT UNDERPOWERED as mentioned in the review..

I m in US and just bought this phone over net from Hong Kong. But the bummer is that the shutter shound cannot be turned off even in silent mode. gps is working very nice on KC910 now, we have a free gps program which is working for free on renoir. No data, no taxes, my country' map has 265 mb. Is very good and nice. Search for WeTravell, tahts the name of teh program. You can find there detailed instructions on how to install it

Ok after 8 months of using this phone (and once having to take it into 3 to get it completely reset because the firmware was terrible and it wasn't letting me do Anything), can say: 1) Call quality is good 2) Amazing camera for daytime, flash is quite weak in low light 3) Media play 5/10 - it has to "load" all your tracks each time you play it - the more songs you've got, the longer the wait whilst it loads. Dolby makes a difference to sound, but volume tops out quite low. Movie player ok but there's lip sync issues 4)Battery life pretty good 5) WiFi handy 6) Touchscreen can be a delight sometimes, and then sometimes really tempermental and refusing to acknowledge your key taps...Texting can be a bit of a nightmare if you don't focus 100% on the screen, for punctuation etc you get pop-up boxes that really require the use of the stylus to get it right first time, and when you're in a rush, or walking, or bouncing in a bus or train and trying to hit the right keys, well forget it. 7) Browser pretty irritating, download operamini as soon as you can 8) GPS quite fun and proved itself quite useful a few times

hi gayan! yah! it's true that LG mobile got only few customers especially in Asia (excluding SKorea & Japan). But i do believe that innovation in LG phones are really amazing. Other people got stick on the brand that they used since before, that's one of the reasons why there are lots of customers in Nokia and Sony Ericsson. As I remember, Samsung before wasn't a competitive brand of phones here in the Philippines, but as they improved their phones and lots of customers discovered its satisfying features, they guaranteed to get this brand as one of the competiive brands. Likewise in LG, it is still starting to get a big BOOM! In Europe and other Western Countries do really appreciate LG's product as compare to the other brands. It's features are really amazing. If u know how to experiment in LG mobiles, i guess u've gonna love it. Just don't stick with other people's opinion, try to buy one of it. It doesn't really matter if there are only few people who are using LG, the important is the quality, economy, features and the facts about it.

I just bought for a week, maybe it's little bit late for buying this phone. Some times its hanged like somebody said, but its back to normal when I took off and put it back the battery. Generally I feel satisfied for the whole specification and its function, but unfortunetly, Sony Erricson has a better sound than this found, I expected it could be louder.... but The Camera sure its awesome!! I have had my phone for over 6 months now, and I love it! I've had every sort of mobile phone you can imagine over the years, from Nokia to Motorola to Sony Ericcson and I have to say this LG is the BEST! My other half has the previous LG (KU990 I think) model and I wasn't very happy with using that at all, but then the Renoir came out, and despite the crappy name, I took the plunge. I haven't looked back. My whole mobile phone experience has changed for the better and even the way I use my phone has improved. I've even been able to use it when I've had long acrylic finger nails without any problems. Now that I don't have long acrylic nails, I find I can use my fingers to operate the LG very easily and don't have the sensitivity issues that I've noticed when fiddling with other touch models. The interface is very self explanatory and simple to use. If you want to use the camera, just open the lens cover and shoot away. The video camera is just awesome and the longest continuous video I shot was still over 40 minutes. The only thing I would have to gripe about (it's a struggle to find something wrong with this great little unit though) is that the volume isn't very loud on hands free or for listening to music without headphones. I told you it was hard to find something I didn't like. I have been watching the iPhone slowly improve and although the iPhone interface would have to be the smoothest and most fluid, the features of the Renoir and the camera just craps all over the iPhone - sorry I don't mean to offend any iPhone users out there. I really wanted to like the iPhone, and I really wanted to get one and nearly did, but the specifications still just don't measure up to the Renoir. So there you have it. Shame about the name, who calls a phone a Renoir?? But it's a great phone and would have to be the BEST phone I have ever owned. Input "800" in Data Set 11. Click on the arrow to go back 1 time (top right) or the �Multi� (middle button) 12. Finally, click on �Write on Sound DB to EFS (top line) 13.Now repeat the process but for rx6_db(dec) data set 700 rx5_db(dec) data set 600 rx4_db(dec) data set 500 rx3_db(dec) data set 400 rx2_db(dec) data set 300 rx1_db(dec) data set 200 leave rx0_db(dec) as it is 14. ha, the iphone is a piece of junk, moreover the iphone does not stand a chance against my renoir save all the apps; the iphone still does not have a flash, the 3GS only has a 3.x MP camera; all touch screen phones are hard to use just like the iphones . . . the screen can only be so big before the whole idea is inconvienent

hi I'm using the Renoir for 2 days counting yesterday I say dat the only bad bout d fone is indeed d unresponsive touch screen the 8 mp camera is excellent but zooming it to the max output is horrible..the stylus should've been attached too and themes are scarce u cannot find any on the web...but my rate for style is 10 it stands out I got dis for a bargain so I say dis one is a great phone people who made commnts here earlier are not informative about their opinion likewise I think they didn't even used it or owned it at all...an opinion is supposedly have a positive and negative feed...so yeah definitely a money's worth and uhm also its d cheapest 8 mp touch screen phone ive ever seen..

Just got this phone, it is pretty good exept the internet is sort of slow. but everything thing else is is good. the case that it comes with is sort of tight so it opens your lense sometimes and your lends gets scratched. So apart form everythings else it is pretty good. i just hope that the speakers on this phone is louder. but is comes with pretty good stuff

Been using this handset for around a year. is not too bad, just a few major issues; its a little bit slow, the touch isn't as responsive as id like it to be, it is by far the QUIETEST handset on the planet, even after following a procedure to increase the volume. The worst thing is i filmed my band during a prac with my Renoir and when i went to play the footage back, it destroyed my speaker and needed to be sent back to service. What a joke!! if you film something that is loud, it seems the dumb-ass trys to play it back at full volume, intern, self-destructing!! I miss my Nokia :( :( oh ps.. since buying this handset a bit less than a year ago, battery life is now terrible. im now roughly getting 2 days if im not using apps. if im using audio player, wifi or Bluetooth, half that.

I've had this hanset for a while now, and I must say it is an un utter pleasure to use. I work within a phone dealership and this is one of the best handsets out there, it's just a shame that no one really gives it a chance. It has an amazing camera and video quality is second to non. This is quite simply one of the best phones we've seen in ages. Its camera tops the i8510, though it isn't quite up to what you'd get from a 8-megapixel dedicated digicam and is not itself a reason to buy. But the range of additional features is excellent, and very importantly, overall user ergonomics are excellent. LG just nosed in front in a very competitive race.

1 Bad thing about this phone ... its GPS runs on Google which requires you to be on a wifi or 3g It dosent run on Garmin or any other GPS except AmazeGPS (which is pretty crappy) Anyone who can hack it, it would be a pleasure for me to learn from u ... =)

I personally think LG KC910 Renoir is better for you. LG Cookie is good and cheap, but it does not have 3g and wifi. The connection to the internet is very slow. If you have the money, LG Renoir is surely it.

Can anyone help me with my music files? I have placed a large amount of music files on an external memory card and the phone does not seem to recognise the individual albums. The music is all jumbled up together. Some music is grouped into genre but I don't know where the rest is because the albums just don't work. It's so frustrating :-(

Just got it today,it is really amaizing,few friends got iPhone but i can say this phone is 3 times better, the touch screen is great,i hardly miss something with my fingers plus there is a pen,cammera is great even tought vide isnt that good,my other phone nokia navigator records better quality videos....but all the things u need with a phone are just great and it is really simple to use...it supports 25-6 languages,there is 22 that i know and 3 that im not sure what they are,those funny letters im sure one of them is chinese :)

I had it for 4 months now and i love it.The only thing is the sounds not so loud and the battery is not so long. you can take pix with the second cam and you just have to move it horizontally it will automatically change. You can also watch you tube thru wifi you can do anything you normally do in the net. but can i ask if we there's available accessories for this fone?

TO all that search for good and free stand alone GPS software here it is:http://we-travel.co.cc/joomla/ It works with Renoir (U also have youtube instalation movie) and I'm driving with it for 2 months allready. Maps aren't 100% finished and some streets are still missing but for the first Java free GPS navigation software with voice navigation and all other stuffs that don't require WiFi or any GSM connection it's GREAT!!! Just to let U know :) cause I've been waiting a long time for navigation for Renoir cause it was only thing that he was missing, now I can say that this is perfect phone :)

I had same problem with card, it was new and it was allready formated for use but only after I've formated it in Renoir the problem vanished. Hope this helps.

The biggest and ugliest letdown for this great phone is its loudspeaker. Just look up the web about its loudspeaker and you will get the answer. most people either cant hear any ringtone or they blew their loud speaker by trying to play enhanced ringtones. Many of you might think loudspeaker is not so important but think again. Additionally its very sad that gsmarena did not even comment on the loudspeaker, and so let us down.

Got to settings/ phone settings/memory manager/ handset reserved memory.. It shows there that you can store up to 1000 sms! Or dial 3845#*910# then go to aging test,sms aging.. You can force your inbox there to have 1000sms.

I have KC910i - I cannot get Google maps to work correctly with the gps, it very rarely finds your position. Other gps apps like amAze, Mobile Gmaps and Sideralis work fine with the phones gps. Has anyone got google maps to work on this phone, I'd love to have it working.

Open video recorder then touch settings, duration, normal. And touch others tab, then memory, touch external if you have sd card. Video recording duration is somewhat relative to the memory left on your phone, so the less memory you have, the less time you can shoot video.

the fons features is one of the best in the latest fon...i could say cuz i have one...the cons with this fon is that the battery life is nt that sumthing to be proud of...i was comparing the fon with nokia 5800 express music ang for me they are close enough when it cums with features...the advantage of 5800 is that it has a very long battery life(8hrs talking time ang 35hrs for playing music) but it lacks the camera having 3.5mp. the renoir on the other hand lack battery power(3hrs talktime)you need to charge everyday and 4 a busy person like me it a big hassle.one tip is to turn off the vibration and sound when pressing the screen to save energy.you could also lessen the brightness of the lcd while your at it.i bought the fon because of the camera feature and that is the main dish with this fon(8mp plus all the features of recent digital cameras). Lg's downfall is that they forgot to focus on the battery of the fone...it could have been the best fon if it had equald 5800. another badside of the fone is that its a fon that once you own it after a month or so the owner will alredy be bored with it...the fon lack software upgrades and even the most basics like themes and outlay design of the program could not be change or improve...

Let me try to answer, sound quality of stock headset is good, and also you can replace it with your favorite headset with a 3.5mm standard jack. Then, alm0st all java applications are working but you have to choose screen resolution to fit renoir's.. Stylus is not embedded, it is dongle type. . And choosing from renoir to pixon? Get renoir! Pix0n has no wifi..

That is suppose to happen when u take stuff in slow mo. Light is darken to capture stuff in slow mo. Just like sports mode when takin a photo where light is also darken when sports mode is on.

Had this phone for 5 months. Handsfree loudspeaker is very poor and inaudable. The bluetooth keeps dropping handsfree device which i bought to compensate (parrot) for an on the go talker this is not the phone for you. Internet browsing is good with good reception but suffers more than other phones SE's Nokia's when signal is weak. Camera is very good. Overall, wish I'd gone for N96 or waited for N97.

I just bought this phone today and have been having a good play around with it for a few hours and when I went in today I was looking for a phone easy to use not to high tech and flashy nothing too confusing. For someone who just wants a a decent phone with up to date technology for a decent budget this phone is absolutely fantastic. Camera Quality is amazing considering it is a MOBILE PHONE!! Touch screen is easy to use havent had any problems when I tap on a number it does come up the same doesnt start clicking something else. I will give this phone an overall 10/10. A phone that is Easy to use, Easy to understand and Im very happy with my purchase. I think alot of people expect a little too much when it comes to technology I mean I picked this over the Samsung Omnia only because Windows takes sometime to get used to..To much playing around with. So when people state their opinions dont go to the point where you make the phone sound like it was made by cavemen. =]

It was utterly sucky...and the bad points are as follows: 1) Poor focus at high zoom factor (lines can be seen) 2) very laggy screen 3) Dragging the widgets is fast...BUT u nid to apply tonnes of strength!!!...(its a PRESSS fone, mind u!) 4) white balance is overly done..the entire pic is so diff from the origanal landscape that u see... othwrwise, a perfect fone!

I bought this phone by having a contract with Optus Australia, and I would say this handphone is great! Especially for multimedia (excellent photo quality, clear video recording, great quality sound of music). The design is very good. Not too big, but you can still use ur finger to tap on. But dont use QWERTY keyboard if you have big finger, it is very difficult. This is worth the price, and the feature.

Good video recording in Divx. Good audio in conversation. Light weight and ergonomic case. Zoom on gallery is fast and responsive. contro: no good web surfing, wifi limitated, no personalizations for theme (only two are possible). bad audio on conversation when using speakers. on a max volume level you notice distorsion. i dont have n95, but have a Renoir and my experience so far is a mix-bag. touch-screen is erratic, especially on the web page, still havent figured out the navigation... OS is a bit sluggish.... and if you like chatting, if you run an IM app (ebuddy, yamee, or fring) in the back-ground, the phone won't give you a message alert. the message alert works only when you're chatting not when the phone is at the home-screen (stand-by mode). battery is not great either. am thinking of trading in my Renoir...

Anyone who says that this phone is bad is simply lying! Call quality is great,camera works great, both pictures and video, software is good, it looks great, feels great. Compared to the other phones with similar performances, it has about 1/3 lower price, and great price/performances ratio. So, thumbs up, and after using this phone for some time, i can only recomend it wholeheartly!

Had Mine now for 6 months. Have noticed a few things latley. The camera lens is hard to be cleaned and gets a glare through it no matter what the surrounding light is. Touch Screen has been great. No lag or anything. Wifi and web browsing is fast and smooth with great download speeds. Browsing through photo's makes the iphone look like crap. Sure u can't pinch but in the end who cares. The ringtone could be a little louder and the dolby does jack S*&T. Capable video playback is awsome. Its good to be able to play so many formats. All in all its the longest i've hung onto the same phone. I'm impressed and haven't seen anything worth swapping for yet.

1. I've installed Opera Mini and can't figure out how to save web pages for off line reading. 2. How can I load HTML files on the phone using Opera Mini since I don't want to use the file viewer? By the way. The camera is great. Sadly the pics are stored in jpg format only. I'm not using the digital zoom. Real snapshots are out of the question. I haven't used the phone feature yet.

well so far all seems to be workin fine.dont have any problems with low ring tone sound,cam. is fantastic,wifi works fine,music player with dolbe switched on does the trick and i dont seem to have any probs with it being slow.could be faster but for me it works fine.i guess i got lucky and bought a good one.the only thing that bums me is he phones music capacity.i have an 8gb card and all is good until i load more than 4gb of music.i know its a lot of music and shouldnt complain but any songs loaded on the card over 4gb appear on the card when i put it in the computer so i know theyre there but they dont appear on the phone.it seems that the phone cant recognise more than 4gb in the music player.if im wrong could someone please let me know cos ive got shit loads of songs that i would like to have on it.

There's no problem with WI-FI you just have to set up the correct Access Points and the Internet Profile under Connectivity and it works perfectly. I have no issues streaming Youtube videos directly from the built-in app or via Youtube mobile. You just have to use the correct settings for your network, I'm using my phone on ATT with T-Mobile settings (I have two SIM cards and switch them often) and have had no issues.

I bought the LG Renoir a couple of weeks ago, and when it comes to video and photos it is absolutely amazing, excelent pics and video for a camera phone, definitely one of the best out there. Music is OK, not great just average and it has some issues recognizing ID tags, minor but annoying. NOW, as a PHONE this thing totally sucks. I have no other words to better describe it... dropped calls, the quality of the sound is awful, "less bars in more places" should be it's motto. If you want a camera that also makes phone calls, buy this... on the other hand if you need a phone that can also take the occasional picture and video, then look somewhere else. Really....!

I haven't had my Renoir for long so still getting to know it after using Nokia for several years. The Renoir sounded great and everything I wanted in a phone - most of all I wanted a great camera. I used it at a wedding last night but disappointed to find the flash doesn't have an "always on" mode. The auto flash mode didn;t cut in for semi-light situations so a lot of people photos silouetted. My only major gripe about the phone is the inability to have an "flash on" mode. :-) Oh yeah, and no emoticons except the one like I just typed in but I gues I can download them.

I'm working in the sales of mobile phones. I think this mobile is very good in design and it is competitive to other brands like Nokia ( 5800) and Samsung( i900 OMINA) and Apple ( Iphone). But there are a lot of disadvantages of this Model which is that touchscreen is not successful idea in LG because it is very slow in responding to the touch clicks. Nice mobile, clear & soft voice, wi-fi connectivity is good. MP3 & ring tone maximum volume is low. UI is bit slow. 100 mb internal memory is a disadvantage, should be at least min. 512 mb. Camera clarity is good - still & video both. Wide screen video @ 640x384 in superfine mode is impressive. Still shot in all modes (beauty, art, backlight compesation) are good.

I would choose the Renoir instead of the Pixon. Reasons: -the user interface is nicer,prettier than Pixon(although a ''little'' slower); -better design; -where I live,Romania,it has a smaller price tag than Pixon; -this is not such a significant add but: the manual camera protection opener(it gives me the impresion that I am more conected with the handset;this is probably just me:) ); -more camera features that come in handy some times(e.g. the beauty shot); -wifi(I don't use it but some may consider it important); Pixon advantages over Renoir: -slight bigger screen; -better sound quality (look,why is everyone complaining about the sound quality of renoir?OK is not as loud as other devices but why do u need such a loud device anyway? It is not enough that u have a device that can do a whole lot of things and still be able to play music throught the speaker with reasonable quality? Think about it people!);

Just got the KC 910, very good phone, specially the wifi connects very fast and easy to use, incoming call voice is very clear, even using the local sim card in Africa. Camera is perfect, touch contol is very responsive but not as soft as others. First time use is very confusing, just need time to learn, as when the unit came it does not have an english instruction manual.

well the phone has resistive touchscreen which mean u can use a stylus with it,which should be able to recognise handwriting. I personally like capacitive touchscreens that require only a soft touch rather than presure(but with capacitive u can't use anything but u're fingers but that's OK with me). I hope I helped some people understand the diferences between these 2 tipes of touchscreen tipes. Cheers:)

I seriously doubt the credibility of your story as it sounds made up anyway. Yes the Iphone's usablity is second to none, but I doubt also that you even own an Iphone. This wasn't meant to be compared to the Iphone, for a start it has MMS that actually works and stereo bluetooth, does the IPhone have that? It took Apple 2 long years to finally implement these features on what my Nokia 3650 could do from 2003. The LG has videocall and FM Radio which the Iphone lacks, plus dolby mobile and DIVX. I'm sure the Iphone doesn't need DIVX but the fact you can't play music through the speakers when you want is plain stupid.

Hi there...i got this phone around a month ago...before i purchased the fone i read the reviews left by people everyday about this fone...the reviews that people left i found to be misleading and untrue for eg. people critisied the volume of the ringtone saying it was very low which is so untrue...also people commented on the mp3 player volume being very low through the headphones which is once again untrue as there are 2 volume buttons 1. On the Phone 2. For nearly 5months i couldnt decide between the renoir and the iphone! I tried the renoir in the stores and few times and something just wasnt right! In the end i opted for the iphone and OH MY GOD!!! I SO DO NOT REGRET MY DECISION!! Sorry but the renoir to me was rubbish. Yes 8mp camera but to be honest the iphones camera is really ALOT better than i had expected! Im one happy customer who seriously made the RIGHT decision. Take out the sim card and sd card and then plug the cable back in to update it. this should work if you havent fixed it already. same thing happened to me, but that seemed to work.

I spent weeks checking on gsm arena reading others reviews and what not. I test the N96 in store and the pixon whihc seemed okay. I was sold this phone envutally over the phone by 02 by a retentions person via a geek to geek conversation on it specs ect.ect OMG!!! I could have opened a kinder surprise and got a better build quality than this CRAP!!! Screen, Apart from being a slow as george Bush to make an apology it was not intuitive or nice to look at. Lg have seemed to try to create the S60 look with MS paint. It took me 20 min to realise that if I had to face instant death whilst having my eyes poked out or have this phone for 12 months. I would take the death thanks. I am an IT engineer so get pretty exited about technology , not that you have to work in IT to be interested. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE who ever you are try this in a shop before you buy it. On paper it sounds good but it looks cheap (in real life) the functions seem cheap and overall LG have only produced a few handsets so bless them at least there trying. Peolple do like to go on on this web site when reviewing but this phone is scrap. N.B. There are no software updates, extra widgets or proper support for this device so if you buy then start praying for a miracle...

Not sure if you've already figure it out or not. And also not sure if you are referring to 3G or Wi-Fi. In any case, please note that in order to connect to the internet you need to be sure that: 1) your plan allows for receiving over the air data; 2) you are in a 3G area; 3) your settings are not in GSM mode only. If you're on a GPRS or EDGE connection the phone will not connect to the internet.

The best thing you can do is a MASTER RESET call this code 3845#*910# first time it will say data then put in again,then you are in the reset menu many things to do to phone here ,I did a factory reset and it fixed everything with my kc910

the phone supports divx & xvid.. but not all videos... its better to encode the videos to divx before we copy it to the phone software is available in cd which we get with the pack :)

I have installed Java apps bigger than 3MG so not sure if that is a problem. In regards to the GPS I assume you mean dedicated software (like a tom tom for example) - not that I know of yet. However the GPS on my phone works with Google Maps which I installed (it gets my position) and also the geo-tagging photo feature and the jogging buddy (which this fat b#$st@rd probably won't use :-) Apparently I burnt 147 Kj walking to the shops to pick up a packet of chips and a soft drink)

the latest firmware (V10_g ARAB) 16-01-09 has definitely improved the picture quality. i believe there is something with the flash also. change your memory card or full format it with sdformatter. i believe its damaged as it was in my case. if you take out the memory card your renoir should work fine.

ALSO the keypad isnt as responsive, you tap one side of the screen and another options comes up! and i know this is nit picking a bit but the camera comes open everytime you put it in your pocket because of the direction of the mechanisim to open it, surly this should have been looked at when they built the phone!

The review about the flash being poor is NOT TRUE!! I had a Sony Ericsson K810i with xenon flash prior to the Renoir. My K810i could light up a dark room and take a decent photo - AND the Renoir CAN do this too!!!!!! I've just done it!! When the camera is active select Camera settings (top left icon) then Preview tab>Back light compensation. This seems to force the flash (I'd tried red-eye reduction before to force the flash but doesnt seem to work) No wonder professional photographers are using this camera! It has *loads* of nifty features. Being picky, the menus overall could be a bit quicker - but that's so far, there may be other stuff I've not discovered/read in the manual yet to subdue any minor niggles I have. Best all rounder on the market at the moment! :D *bounce*

there is a sound when you take a photo, but you can turn sound off. But sound is always on at start and end of video recording. I Believe its meant to stop privacy issues.

here's the link for google maps that work with touchscreen although google maps won't work with my renoirs gps. I use mobile gmaps which does work with the gps even inside the house!!! (tested on fresh install with network off) the camera has a choice of two sounds or none robert.

the renoir is a great phone. tbh i am blown away by the quality of the camera and the video camera for the size of the product. I copied a dvd to divx and can play it on my 42inch plasma tv even my 17year old son was amazed. It does everything it says it does if you cannot connect by wifi or whatever your doing it wrong! Only problem is speaker has bust but a quick phone call to lg support and they are exchanging it.

You can turn camera sound off. My biggest problem with the KC910..is ... no one seems to know what it is. My first one on T-Mobile had the full touch screen Google map, but had to go back because of network problem, second one were with Orange, better reception but the Google map on it is half-baked when come to google map, you cant use full touch screen, there are numeric keys you need to use to zoom in/out etc. Try to find TomTom or Garmin is hopeless, no one knows, the internet is half baked also, I were hoping to use it for remoteserver access, it connects, but then no more input allow, making it pointless. On the plus size, size is small, camera is good, battery is ok (normally 2 days, to make sure, I got a car charger, USB charger just in case), Orange interface is crap, I had to debrand it to get a decent UI, I also unlocked it so I can carry on with O2, so far its fine for the basic needs of phones, camera, calendars etc.

I have had nokia before and believe me Nokia buil quailty are not the best compare to the price that you paid for a phone, N95 does not even have good qulaity picture its horrible and capture button lag and theres no divx player. Honestly i think up until todya my two favorite mobile brand are SAMSUNG AND LG. by the way what you had mentioned about the REnoir is a total biased review, In my opinion an Lg renoir are a very good phone

My one connects fine on WPA2, maybe your router is incorrectly setup? or won't allow the device to connect, I suggest you check your router settings to make sure it is correctly setup

Hiii i just thought about reviewing my new lg Renoir phone I've been using since some days-and believe me guys what I'm to tell u won't be pleasing-It is not a good phone-basically if u used lg viewty-then this is just an upgrade with only wifi and 3g added-the rest it is basically similar-Ill state the cons and won't state about the benefits as the cons are far more important-The bad things about this phone im summarizing below: 1.There is a lag whenever u press touch screen-apple iphone has the best touch screen and this one actually its just a bit more sensitive than lg viewty 2.The 8mp camera i don't think it is 8mp at all-The photos are not stunning as people say mind u-I have compared them to my old nokia n95 and i should say the n95 has better pictures believe me.the 8 mp i think its just a cover to attract people besides its not even a good recorder-it records 30fps but damn it-my n95 records at 30 frs also and the image quality is simply outstanding in my n95-The 30 fps in the renoir when i recorded and played in my pc-its sadly the worst believe me-Lg claims its dvd quality--my foot it is not dvd, not even vcd quality-its just a bit more than seeing a 3gp movie playing well full screen than playing in a small screen-So why is this dvd quality video claim not good? 3.You can't find much about java apps-Forget about fring/forget about opera mini-you got a browser that is fast but is not the best-its just like an unknown browser and hopelessly you will never get support for a better browser- 4.the music playback claims to be dolby-well i agree but why the hell it is playing so low?If u r in a bus listening to mp3-forget this damn thing the sound quality is good but very low the bus sound will disturb u-Also i noticed the playback is alway in alphabetical order-Well this is something awkard-No equalizer-why the hell??? The lg phone also has a very bad support-its very very bad also i mean if u r getting a problem with the lg-then too bad you will get problems looking for help online Last of all-why this divx phone?Why it says divx and when i put some divx videos it says unsupported format?Isn't divx able to play any movie?In my n95 i would install corecodec player this plays dat also!then why this divx specified phone doesn't support many divx videos?? Just put my hands on it.I`ve change my k850i becouse i like touch screen it`s nice for internet and only internet.Phone itself is nice solid and easy to use packed with latest tech gadget,but yes there are few buts.Don`t know why samsung and lg still blocking java apps not provided or certyfied by them so gps so far is useles(nav4all,wayfinder not working)even games from lg website does not support renoir yet.Camera is realy nice but flash is to weak even for closeups.I realy like it.

i have this phone for about 3 weeks now i dont mind other then very very major issues such as speaker is broker while watching a movie now i cant make phone calls either as i cant hear people from other end (it sounds like they are shreaking!) alarm is CRAP in the morning to turn of the alarm or put on snooze IF phone is locked which most likely will be you have to unlock it FIRST then press snooze and GUESS what suprise suprise snooze wont pause the alarm it will carry on BUT you will see pause sign on the top bar and it will carry on again AND THIS TIME NO PROMPT either to SNOOZE OR STOP (i hate this FULLY ITS GAY!) now picture part camera is good PROVIDED you are in LIT area otherwise ITS NOT AS GOOD as SE 8MP camera picture. finally touchy touch screen its by far the best i used (it doesnt have flicker movement as iPhone) provided you calibre the Touch screen with your thumb and once that is set bobs your uncle. overall its a good phone but few annoyances will drive you up the wall as broken speaker and alarm stuff (i have 12 months guarantee SO SWAPPED IT when it was broken!) LG please fix your firmware and software ISSUE! Also whats the point have amazing DOLBY MOBILE when your speaker cant even stand movie action sounds......jeezzzz

You need to go into the connectivity menu and select the USB function. its a bit of an anitiquated way to comm with the pc, but you gotta tell it you wanna connect via USB or BLUETOOTH before you can connect. RTFM

I have 2 questions: I have my TMobile LG KC910 unlocked. Now I want to update the firmware. Would the phone be locked again if I update the firmwire? & My Google Maps Application doesnt run because in settings TMobile Data Settings are in default. I cannot remove them and also in Google Maps there is no option for selecting any Profile. What should I do? I dont use TMobile anymore.

Buyer beware. Lg seems to have no problem falsely advertising this phone. It does not support the GSM 850 network as they claim. It is not a true Quad Band as defined by the honest sellers in the industry. Since I live in the US Lg will not even speak to my question as to why the phone is falsely described in their own specs. Why do you advertise this as a quad band when it ill not function on the the 850 network? Answer; " we are sorry, but Lg..Canada, Uk, Australia...etc.. Does not support this Model in the US." Real nice... If you like being lied to then brushed off, then this phone is for you.

what a great fone! renwa! 8Megapix, digital Dolby sound, with wi-f, and most affordable.

You can drag and drop files to your fone via your C:\ computer. I find this method way easier than using the PC suite. (I eventually deleted it). The renoir will convert your video files automatically via this method. Renoir also supports .3gp files. Transferring an avg movie (1.5hrs) to the memory card (via adapter) takes approx 3/4 mins. I was impressed. The data cable slightly longer. Hope this helps. (No probs with WIFI either).

i use all my phones via ps3.... on others you can do it through control pad charger but you must use mem stick and adaptor with renoir. more messaging about for 1 or 2 pic/vids but for alot the speed is phenominal. it took me over 4 hours to put files on PS3 from my old phone but only 25 minutes to retrieve and put on renoir.... must've been 300+ songs, 2000 pics and loads of video. MAKE SURE YOU DELETE ALL GROUPS IN CONTACTS OTHERWISE YOU CANNOT COPY FROM SIM STOPPING YOU FROM SELECTING WHEN TEXTING OR SETTING SPEED DIAL ect ect

Well ive had my lg kc910 since last thursday, my phone is on the T- Mobile network, to some users who say google maps does'nt work, google maps works fine on my device an im not kidding, also camera is great photo's look great viewed on my laptop an Tv via my ps3, only complaints i have, 1) the volume of the speaker should be louder , 2) dust collects under the screen protecter an ive since removed it, other than that phone is great an battery life is good.

The GPS worked out fine with Google Maps. Tried both stand alone and assisted GPS. Both worked fine. You have to be beneath clear sky though.

This phone is by far the best phone i have ever had.Its camera is superb...It takes better pictures than my 7.2 samsung digital camera. The video is of high quality and the user interface is just fantastic.I m waiting for the next software update that hopefully will make the phone even better than it is(if thats possible)!!! NO FLAWS !!! Had this phone for a grand total of 5 mins before I realised it was absolutely terrible, the menu looks like it took a minute to design the screen is too bright and the touchscreen display is a knoghtmare for texting with reverted back to my 8600 luna straightaway. Phone is now on Ebay!!!

My reservation has always been the inability of LG phones to have long battery life. Even for the highly rated LG phones. A talk time of 3 hours? That to me is insufficient

10 mega pixel. it is not true that anything above 8mp not "detectable". As an illustrations, i have 100 jpg files in the Renoir, let's say about 20 or so of them having problems viewing. However, these same 100 pix would have no problem on my N95 or other models ! Trust LG is reading this thread and they should give an appropriate response accordingly.

hi, i live in uk & i am in search of good 8 mp camera phone .camera is priority. Are the comments here from uk or somewhere else ??? i have heard that samsung innov8 n pixon i have tried gave v nice pics n video images.Have not tried Renoir yet. Is renoir better than samsung n SE c905 ?? SE c905 also has xenon flash like renoir ,but the pics on mobile were not looking v promising to put on computer.Samsung pixon pics looked much better - dont know if it was bcoz of its screen. can any1 tell if using xenon flash is really better with renoir or is it better to go for samsung pixon n innov8. are all countries mobile different ?? has any1 used these mobiles in uk ??? this site does compare pics of all 4 - 8mp mobile n we can see samsung innov8 r better,but still it does not have xenon flash - so not v sure . please need some commments

what is the resolution of your canon Dslr? if that's over 8mp, maybe your Renoir can't depict that on the screen.

There are many of my jpeg files (taken with my Canon SLR), all readable on my N95 and Sony Ericson, but not on this Renoir. Error message are "Sorry the file is invalid or corrupt". Went to LG Service Centre in Singapore twice and they were NOT able to help except to say that the phone cannot support ".. above certain mega pixel". Can anyone help? tks LN

LG flat out lies in their specs by saying this is a Quad BAnd... This Phone does not work in the GSM 850 band. I even called LG direct and asked them if this phone was a quad band or a tri band and they assred me they only make the quad, I had seen numerous tri bands for sale and asked them about it and they played dumb. So I baought it on their word.. While the camera feature is awesome. The rest of the features...especially he keypad suck. The touch is either too sensitive or not sensitive enough during the same text message.. Anyway since I was lied to by LG twice.. once in their specs and again in person. This will be the last LG I ever purchase...

my problems here

iS quite nice after all .but is a bit sad nothing is perfect. 1. the music software come with pc suite 2 is difficult to use and after they rip the music always failed to transfer to the phone , it never success! 2. also the music software after i upgrade my phone through i cant rip any cd anymore.it show"something relevant to decoder". 3. thw worst is when i put 5 mp4 movie in , the phone can only play two of them.i go through google no answer for that. plus i call service center in Singapore they cant answer my question and ask me to go to their HQ to speak with their technician! I am not happy with the phone. I got it because I wanted to have caller photo ID to avoid putting glasses on everytime I get a call. But when you attach a photo to a contact it appears in a tiny little box in the left hand corner of the screen. It should be in the middle of the screen and bigger. does anyone know how to fix this problem or is this just the way the phone is.

Anyone upgraded to the V10j_01 without any problems? What is the difference? So far I find this phone great. Have hearing problem but find if using 'Outdoor' setting for phone this is OK to hear. Yeah themes could have been better. LG need to listen to their users, but still a great phone anyway.

not only the rinng is low,but my speaker was broken after...4 incoming calls. maybe the mp3 i have setted have high dynamic signal,i don't know,but this is innacepable!!! and the 2nd big probleb: i used 2 giga microsd in it. i filled 80% with divx clips,mp3 and stuff. from that moment,when i opened the lens cover to take a picture,all system was blocked!!!! i formatted the microsd,and it works good after that,but...

If you're going to buy this phone. You should buy from either fizi.com or selectgsm.com This phone is amazing! The manual came with I think chinese and english. The sound is incredible. When I put the headphones on.. I feel like I'm floating. The sound in like a surround sound in your head. It beats the iphone or the itouch. :) Dolby mobile is badass.

renoir is a great toy...but??? the stylus has nowhere to go so you have this tagg hanging off the side of the phone if your like me and have fat fingers it could prove tricky.also gps software for the phone is almost not to be found with no information on the operating system ie symbian windows mobile ect is almost non exsitant,apart from this some fab gadgets the screen is very clear when playing movies, but really need to find gps software for this phone and lg certainly dont seem to give you any clues either...can anyone help here as i have just upgraded from my trusted nokia n95 so left feeling a bit fustrated as they seem to have released this phone without any software for the man on the move yet arrrrgggghhhh

I loooooveee this phone :) It has great features and think its user friendly. All the other opinions that I read on here. Don't apply to my phone. My phone acts just fine. I looooooveeee it :) I don't know why so much people think the iphone is like the best touchscreen phone in the world. I think it's only good for the music. The iphone camera sucks though and its not really user friendly. But I loovee mac computers :) Hahahahaha I don't know what that had anything to do with my opinion but whatever. If you're thinking about getting this phone. You definitely should!

I've had this phone for a few days, slight lag sometimes but it is a touchphone. I must say the camera/video recording is great. I've yet to work out how to convert a video. Only (major) problem is the speaker. Through the headset its fine, but the actual ringtones even your own mp3 are VERY low even at its highest setting. Forget everything else, this should be priority no1 for all phones, as i'm sure nobody wants a phone to miss their calls! According to GSM's audio test - Iphone ringing is worse.

Im getting my Renoir unlocked tomorrow.. i called the 3 Network and i can get my phone unlocked for only �15. So now im happy, i get poor cell coverage with 3!!

if anyone is having problems connecting to your computer all you need to do is go into Settings-connectivity-usb connection and then select "Mass storage" the pc then just reads it as a usb pen so its really easy to upload pics and music and visa versa

Did anyone try the Flash content. I just tried to run a 354kb flash file and it says file limit exceeded. Has anyone else also experienced this? What is the max file size allowed?

Difficult to configure for Internet Service. Very poor at choosing which network to use every time you use an application with Internet needs. Giroscope detection doesn't work everytime. The sound isn't very lound and you can loose many calls if you are sleeping.

i have had my renoir about 5 weeks my 2 colleagues at work both have LG phones 1 has a cookie and the other is a viewty they had them for crimbo. it wasn't until there phones rang that made me realise why i had missed all calls i can't hear the phone ring (i haven't an hearing problem) especially when the ringtone is an mp3 i have it on outside mode full volume its terrible.i transferred some music to there phone and it is quiet on thiers. they transferred music between thier phones very load. i have taken it back but and are sending it for repair has anyone had this problem. i feel i have bought a phone that is not fit for the purpose i have bought it for. please reply

I got this phone a few days ago but it was locked to orange. So I got the phone unlocked to use all networks, where I am on t-mobile. However the phones applicaion still come up as orange maps, orange messenger etc... plus there is no google maps installed as well. So is there a way to remove the orange brand and stuff and install the t-mobile brand on it via firmware update...

The Speaker is Just above the LG Logo!! Its not that bad but its not that loud too!! Ive got my Renoir on 3 and i cant get signal like almost anywhere, even in town where im supposedc to get 3G network!! I only get signal outside my house and it always has the 'R' icon, i dont know why im Roaming!! i must admit that it does have a poor battery life!
