Generally speaking I'm quite satisfied with the L760. I just wonder what Samsung was thinking when it comes to video recording. It only records 13 seconds per recording, save and then you have to "Back" and start recording again, ending up with a lot of 13 second segments of one event you wanted to record. Congratulations Samsung, you definataly deserve the Nobel prize for Tecnology Stupidity!

Without a doubt, this is the worst phone I have ever owned. With Bluetooth turned off, the battery drains in about 36 hours in standby - with no calls. Changed the battery 5 times, changed phones twice. Same problem. Cannot install JAR files without hacking the firmware. Sound quality is terrible. The phone is cute and easy to use, but unless you or your father owns an electric company, forget about this one. I gave mine to my 6-year old as a toy (I took out the battery).

i have had this phone for a month now and the battery life lasts around 3 days with 30min call/day and mp3 playback via loudspeaker. the phone's build quality is good and feels good unlike nokia 5300. my phone never once restarted. never had any problems whatsoever. great phone accompanied by a great PC software for PC sync etc. Buy this and you too will love it!

Nokia phone is better then Samsung coz i brought this model for the 1st time previously i use nokia, i only few months the color display start blur and i can't hear the caller when i received call after repaired by FMG for about 1week the problem accur again i feel so irratating...i don't think this model is as good as u said...

I have this phone and i want to say that is a good phone. Battery life : 3-4days talking min. 30 mins/day Quality of camera is enough for this phone. Mp3player, good sound, battery is very good if the phone is new and battery is original. I like design of this phone, i droped down this phone without my intention, and no problem, no defect. Has some problems, with themes, i didnt managed to install themes, or to transfer videos on it(error : resolution not supported) in fact is a good phone

Pictures do cover the whole screen. This phone doesn't turn off randomly. Themes are cool, you can download them aswell It is good, buy it!

as mentioned under the warranty , there is no coverage for liquid damage.. what you could do is take it to a mobile phone repair shop and get it repaired.. my understanding of this problem is , that its either ur storing too many messages on ur phone or it just requires flashing..

hi, the red icon of the memory card means that it is loading or the card has been damaged. have u tried bying a card reader and adaptor to connect it to a pc?? the only way ur going to have more space is to by a new memory card.

Had this phone from Vdfn NZ, End call key was not working out of the box (the Red key), returned back for a replacement, second one was loosing signal and dropping calls continuously, had to return it back and advised by salesperson to switch to J750 which is better in stability so far

Hello all, I'm having some trouble with my L760 and I need some help. I've recently encountered a problem wherein my phone's memory card icon has turned red and i am not able to move files or even see files within my memory card. I cannot access in any way, which leads to another problem. I was gonna take the sacrifice and format my card, as suggested by the man in the phone store, but seeing as I cannot in any way connect to my phone, i am not able to see it's memory status and thus am nort able to format. Does anyone know or have any ideas as to what my next step should be? It's not the memory card either, I have the correct type and it is simply a 1gb card with no scratches or bugs.

To set ur wallpaper as a slideshow just go into settings. then Display settings. Wallpaper and edit my screen. Then u can add ur photos to ur wallpaper to make a slideshow.

yes, this phone does support java games. however, they can only be installed over-the-are (no via bluetooth or memory card)

Warning!!!! this phone is absolutely crapola. First there is the music player- not loud at all. Then there is the java, it says you can get gaMES and apps and other stuff for it but it can't read any file type. then there is the internet- if you have slide down as stop operation people hit it down so you lose everything your doing, howver if you hav it as continue operation it connects to the internet. As well as these when making phone calls you get an echo of your voice in your earpiece. Also you can only get it on optus, which chews through your credit and when you want to unlock it, it costs 80 dollars, hours of phone calls and a few weeks for them to give you the code. There are plenty of better phones out there for even cheaper. This is just a waste of money.

I don't understand why some comment is so meaningless. In fact, the crack on the screen is due to mis-behave in taking care of the phone. Generally this phone is great (at least to me). I bought this phone because it is within my budget and it got the features i required. As long as you pay effort to study the manual and search through the internet, you'll find it user friendly. I deleted the pre-installed games (trial version only), and I manage to install games i wanted by myself. Radio is fuction only after the handset is attached. I have no problem in upload and download files for ringtone and wallpapers. This phone has a feature which i don't think other brand has (at least im sure SE, Nokia and VK don't) It can rotate your wallpaper up to 9 pic. You may set different ringtones for voice and video calls. The speaker on call is clear for both side eventhough i leave my phone on my thigh while driving. Hassle free have to attach the handset. No doubt the sound system cannot compare to SE W-series, and the camera also cannot compare to SE K-series. For general listen and viewing is still up to the mark.

hey, its not too hard to do that...you need to go to settings>display and light settings>display settings>wallpaper>"my screen" then select the fotos you want and you can choose how fast the slides go etc

when you're typing a txt msg, select options and scroll down to the 9th option "imput method" and choose what you prefer.

To switch off 3G (UMTS) Goto Settings>connectivity>network mode> GSM 900/1800 hopefully this will turn off 3g although it probably wont save much power. big power wasters on your phone are Bluetooth, Vibrating alerts, screen backlight. try adjusting their settings first

This is the best slide phone i have used so far; its light, not bulky, feature filled, GPRS browsing on it is way faster than my E90 (Better beleive it) The screen is crystal clear, same for the pictures, PC Sync via cable and bluetooth is awesome. Its a phone you buy and you are not talking about firmware/OS upgrade and all that. The sound quality is very very crystal, FM radio with the boxed headset is awesome, battery life is very very good, even with bluetooth on. This is a phone to buy and use, all they need to do now is to put it in a metal casing like the G800/G810 and you have a reliable companion for as long as you want.

Hay, i jus purchased this fone brand new from the shop and i was wondering how to put a privacy lock on my phone. i know how to do it but then when i go to put in my code it says enter code and wen i do it says inccorect. is there anywhere i can fidn that pin that the company set for this or is it sumthing simple as 1234 which ialready tried.

go to ur call log and go to any number, options, then add to reject list. then u'll see all the numbers that you've rejected. move up the list to ur frendsz number and press `c`. this is the only way u can go to the reject list that i know off. hope it helps. =]

You can't find the radio because you probably have a Vodafone Live menu - it sort of blocks the radio or something. You need to have the default Samsung software! ;)

yes there is bluetooth. and about the mp3 as sms tone, i dont think so it can be done. i've tried, and it doesnt show any of my mp3 songs. they can only accept midi files only i guess?

The battery came with packing has 800mah but you won't last a day if you do a little sms and photo shots. The battery drops from fullness to zero within 15 mins. It is unacceptable for it's speedy drainage.

Last week I was googleing to find the instructions to install the firmware needed to have FM-radio and the RSS reader. It was only availeble in Spanish, thank god that I speak and read spanish. The installation wasn't that difficult. It took about 10 minutes, now I have the samsung menu instead of the Vodafone menu and all the features mentioned on gsmarena. I'm really glad I took the risk of doing this because you could end up with a non working mobile phone. In the proces of installing the firmware you are 'flashing' the phone.

Critter is referring to the L760xxgg2 firmware but you also need multiloader_v5.30 ...u can google and get them...The instructions how to install the firmware can be found here But it's in Spanish-Good Luck or try going to a gsm service! Once u update the firmware...u loose the trial games,toolbar,themes...but u gain fm radio,rss reader, a 4x3 icon menu... The phone's speaker isn't great but when u plug in some headphones the sound quality is really great,you can play mp4 files but they must be 176x220 or less...

For monthly calendar view, there are some numbers next to a yellow "new moon" at the bottom right corner (just above "Back"). For example, if I choose today's date (Jan 14), I'll get 12.07. Looks like some dates to me but don't make any sense. Does anyone know what that means?

Here are some differences: L760V has 262K TFT Screen,72 poly ringtones but it didn't had FM RADIO... What did I do?! -It has a 4x3 icon menu -It does not have mpeg4 but 3gp -Normally if you go to your songs in "My files -> Sounds" there should be an option called "Set as". There you need to select "Voice ringtone". If this option is not available your song is probably in the wrong format (meaning not mp3 but wma or something). There you go, people! Now could someone please tell me how to get that f*cking operator logo of my phone?!

I got this phone last week, to replace my Samsung D600. It is an ok phone, but the D600 was beter, you had more options on the D600. The L760 camera doesnt have flash and the games on the phone are trial versions. The design is beautiful, better than the touch things on other samsung phones, it is a quick phone, bluetooth is only a bit slow. Sound isnt as good as I thought

i recently got the L760 two weeks ago, and i find it to be a very nice phone. although the phone specs indicate that it has a "FLASH", and i feel as if ive been taken for ride with that by SAMSUNG! and SAMSUNG should invest in developing mp3 msg alerts! im very impressed by the document viewer and the internet browser. i just got this l760 two days ago from my phone operator in Morocco,it is quite a good looking mobile with intersting and useful features,my only regeret is the photo quality which really deceiving for a 2mega camera.a prt from as somebody posted the tone sound which is not as aloud as i expected.Also here in morocco there is no way to have internet connection via the phone so i will be dprived from one of the main features of this l760 thanks to my operator!!!! All in all i was not deceived by this phone and i recommand it

I just got the phone yesterday and I'm liking it very much so far. It seems this phone has incrediable security features if you look closely. I think you and choose to put a password to put a password on your phone so that other sims won't work otherwise. I also think you can pretty much lock your phone anyway you like. Quite user friendly in my opinion. Especially if you've owned a samsung phone previously. Can't say I don't agree with the previous post. The back of the phone does heat up quite a bit. I'm hoping it's ok though, not too annoyed if it doesn't affect the function or longivity of the phone. Ringer / volume settings can all adjusted / edited from phone profiles in settings. Anybody have got a clue about the flash on this phone ?

Comparing this one to the D600, I'd stick with the D600. Much better display, higher def... Of course, the L760 is a 3g phone, so I really think you can't compare both. The D900 was the D600's successor. The letter D states it.
