you can find Rooting process of lg optimus net in internet.just search in google and extand your internal memory by link2sd app and you have to make partition on your sd card for that.last official softwear update is gingerbred 2.3.4 but you can install costom rom through coustom recovery process and update your software to 4.0.0 and further.but there some bugs on this custom roms.i am useing lg stock rom2.3.4(before 2.3.3) and its working like a charm.i useing a 16gb class4 microsd card for games,videos.downloaded 50apps and games in internal still 25mb left.you can move part of the app to sdcard for more space but there are some app coudnt move but all the big game data will be in the sdcard.still i enjoying my optimus net..

I Had this phone a little over a month and began seeing many problems. The phone keeps telling me it's being charged even though it is not connected to the charger! Every time I boot the phone it gets stuck in emergency mode (or octopus mode). I have to manually take the battery out then put it back in and wait 30 seconds for the phone to get out of emergency mode. It's very annoying, but I paid money for this phone so I have to keep using the phone. I can't sell the phone because it has too many glitches! No one will want it. My advice is to avoid all LG phones!!!

Day by day my love towards the phone is exponentially increasing. combination of NQ android booster+ clean master for better battery backup, HD camera ultra + galary ics for camera and image application.. best. Using Holo launcher looks like android 4.1...without root, using some commands available on net all the apps are in sd card. I am using 40 apps in small int. Memory. Dont know what you guys expect from such a phone but still it is 512mb Ram 800mhz which can be overclocked to 902mhz and using Mount2SD(free app in playstore) app you can increase your internal memory as much as you want. I have been playing around with this phone installing numerous ROMs but I found the LeWa OS Final perfect for this model you can get that ROM in russian site. BTW after numerous tweaking I am getting AnTuTu benchmark 4705 and I can play armv6 games like Temple run 2 (modded for armv6), Cross Court Tennis, Asphalt5 (runs smoothly), Raging thunder 2, Angry Birds season, Fruit Ninja, CKZ origins-2, etc., who says you are limited by internal memory when you can boost the phones internal memory by using Link2SD or Mount2SD free apps. Also use paid software RAMEXPANDER for extra RAM. Buy class 10 based micro SD card for speed. need help search on the net for lg p690 you will find numerous sites for our phone. I agree stock ROM is laggy and buggy, Remove the stock rom and use the custom roms and kernels.

first phone I have had with operating system/smartphone. AWFUL!! It won't figure out it's own attitude.To get it to change orientation I have to shake it around. People laugh!! screen jumps from horizontal to vertical . Thats true when you take a pic. you hold it in upright mode, the picture displays upside down when you review. many times people say they called or messaged. It cannot hold a signal when I ride train for 3 miles without constantly freezing and reconnecting. Is this Android 2 or LG Problem? I will never by an LG again. had several Samsungs and no problems at all, but now I'm very leery for next purchase, maybe Android 4 is better.

The perks of this phone- It is about as cheap as you can go and still have an Android. Most apps I use work with it (i.e. Draw something, Words with Friends, Wanelo, Picsart, etc.) though only a few actual games. I've had this phone for over a year now and I've dropped it at least a hundred times, sometimes face down on concrete, and it only has one small scratch that is hardly noticeable. It is small and durable and useful for many things. Most of the time, the internet runs perfectly, although not with certain websites with a ton of data, and I can even use it in some dead areas while traveling. However, lately I've been experiencing some difficulties with my phone. For example, I've had to remove some of my favorite apps because it can only hold so much memory. And when I'm surfing through Facebook or Wanelo, if it loses connection momentarily, I'll get a message at the top of the screen that says my space is running low, and when that happens, I cannot send any messages until it goes away (which it usually doesn't), I turn my phone off and on again, or I delete another app, and even if I have plenty of memory left on my phone, the icon will pop up again. Also, the company I have has been messing up lately. Last month, I had to add airtime three days early because it shut off before it was supposed to expire. Ever since the company updated itself, I've had more than one issue with connection, and it's very frustrating. Over all, it's a great phone for a while, especially with only paying $50 dollars a month and no contract required. I'd suggest it to people with a low income. But I've had about enough and I'm trying to get something new.

Great cheap phone that work great. Not for gaming types as it only has 150M of internal storage and a lot of 3D games won't work on this phone. My son has the HTC Desire C (same price) and it has 1G internal storage (available) and Ice Cream Sandwidth.

I have this phone almost one year and it is a disaster. Sometimes i can`t receive messages, sometimes i can`t write one and I need to restart phone (which also took it`s time). After disconnecting from computer it tooks a lot of time (approximately 10-15 min) to load all stuff from sd card (8gb). It can crash on some app and do self-restart. Battery goes like crazy, don`t even try to use it :)

Yes; it has wifi b/g/n and wifi tethering and portable hotspot. Battery life is crap 450 hours is 20 days - rubbish. lucky to get 2 days with wifi, gps, bluetooth and mobile data turned off. Good for the price though. Prevailing wisdom is to put in a decent micro SD card and move stuff to it.

Im using this phone one year and this is my first smartphone. Touch screen is very responsible. Built-in memory is not large, but after I moved all available applications to sd card, it's ok. There was period, when some applications crashed and causes phone restart. But it looks like that was application fault, becouse now that doesn't happen any more. For such price I think this is very good phone.

Get the Optimus Net. It has a nicer screen. You should probably get something better, though, as these are both not very good at all. What is your price range? Also, are you in the US, or somewhere else? I may have something better I can recommend.

It has problem in sound card. The sound from the speakers is noisy even I listened music from earplugs or headphone, a noise with song mix. Its very annoying.

This is arm v6 phone.high end apps wont work from playstore directly.add arm v6 after the app name & google it.for eg.,i googled 'chrome arm v6' & downloaded it from 4shared.com & it ran Perfectly on my optimus net.Try it!!

I had the lg Optimus net and overall it was good for the price. It was slow though, and got me annoyed several times. If you want a phone just to be able to contact people sure take this one but otherwise I wouldn't.

Hello, Did u wiped all things before flashing? Wipe factory/reset Wipe Cache Wipe Delvik Battery stats (not necessary) also have u done any partitions in Sd card? I am not facing this bug. works fine for me. Only thing i don't like is CM10 taking too much internal memory.

Hello, have u also formatted memory card, reset phone again & also format memcard, then dont install anything, just use like stock lg for some time, check, then add apps one by one. also if u dnt knw what is rooting & custome roms, don't get into those things, or search google or visit xda forums for the detailed procedures. if u manage to root & recovery, then install CM10 (android 4.1.1 - by marcolino)- camera still not fixed though.. I am using it(CM 10)- way smoother due to project butter in JB. BUT DO IT ON UR OWN RISK :P hope it will help u.

problem with my lg p690.. my phone has become dead slow..it responds after 4 to 8 seconds after I press anything..need to switch off and on my phone every 3 hourly..to get free ram of about 250mb..but in no time it falls to 30mb.. LG Optimus Net was good at first for being a Cheap phone...A month and a half later I always have issues turning it on, and now it just replays the onscreen over and over...took the battery out, and did all that mumbo jumbo...Still does the same crap..STUPID PHONE!! Ive had cheaper phones than this and they sure didnt do that! Definitely not even worth the buy! Yes very cheap, and Yes it most definitely shows!

i had this unit for about 8 months now. good on the budget. sometimes it hangs if there are some apps that are buggy or vids that are hq, i always use a task manager and kill unnecessary apps. the best thing is, it can access the net instantly (im using it right now to tether to my laptop) i have put a 16GB mem card and thats it! a simple smartphone to do almost everything. watch out for the batteries too they drain fast (well almost all droids are like that)

hey frndz ..this phone is so cool ..great phone ...it is best in its class ....using neocore benchmark scores it gave 59.9 fps ..nearly 60 fps ...u knoe normal android smartphones from samsung and other brands in range of 10,000 to 14,000 give fps nearly of 40-50 fps .. ..plays hd games fairly ....no lags .but i think only weakness is that its processor is ARMV6 ..which is not so good ... this phone had been more better. .is LG has put SNAPDRAGON OR SIMILAR ARMV7 processor on it ... if u wish a armv7 phone at this price point ...i suggst u HTC EXPLORER . BUT ..ITS STILL BETTER THAN HTC EXPLORER. in many specifications ..and it has got fater cpu of 0.8GHZ

@rex there will be no more flash for android 4.1, but you can stay on 4.0x or lower versions and still have flash available. Anyway, even without flash, you can still watch youtube videos, etc using youtube apps(which can be downloaded) like on iPhones which doesnt support flash, or once they implement HTML5 on webpages soon

Full stable MUSIC rom I said that usb tether had a problem but I inspect it correctly not and lg optimus usb wifi tethering was no error. the error was on my rocket dock widget on my computer. So dont be doubt to install this ROm its a full stable. Dont support the guy who trying to duplicate our work. Only team Optimus had a rights to handle this

I bought this phone awhile back, and I must say it is pretty impressive. It can do almost anything an iPhone can do but way cheaper and more affordable. It is very fast unless it is updating software which only takes a few minutes, but apart from that it is very efficient. However, sometimes the applications inexplicably stop working, for example I couldn't recieve texts for the longest time and it just started working again. Also, my alarm clock has a mind of its own and sometimes decides not to ring at the time I set it to! Besides those faults, the phone is great!

For clearing All Rom I posted made by my Team Optimus. IF you found the same Rom then try it and compare to our Rom. Some Developers don't know how to make Rom stable and also their rom had error. Now I'm born here to fix their WorkS. MUI ROM done pratheek1992. Aceximix 2008 recompiled for better performance and USB tethering Works Great. I'm not duplicating pratheek1992 mui ROm just to fix. have you rooted your phone? first you have to root your phone. for that you should read previous pages of this forum where ace2008 had already given the exact procedure to root our op net(use easy software Unlockroot) then you have to insatll Clockworkmod recovery(for which also there is complete procedure given by ace2008) after these two setps only you can install custom roms note: 1) rooting avoids warranty!! 2) dont use 'ROM manager' app for installing Clockworkmod recovery as it may brick your phone..install it manually 3)before installing any custom rom first take a clockworkmod backup of your stock ROM so that you can move to it as & when required!!!

yeah, that's why I made that so that no other can change my work. If some apk or kernel that change your Rom will not stable. some launcher or themes consumed more memory and battery coz, system will detect as running apps. I will not change the lock screen also because it is the very best lock screen no lag

Friends miui rom is something like ios interface and is laggy to . I tried overclocking it and still same problem its I believe little havy. On our net hope for some more Romsin near future. But for now its not great. All stuff is working and I have tested USB tethering also working fine till now there is no force close yet. Importent note few stuff is in Japanese , like theme download menu etc. Going back to CM 7 by karandeepdps best and fast Wichita I want mind it I am not against it but for me it doesn't fit best.

Hey ace, I don't know whats the exact problem, bt I m unable to download any of the ROMs, I downloaded every thing else. Also posted this problem on xda forum but no solution.Its not the issue with file size or net speed coz I am using wi-fi. Able to download other heavy files also.Only these ROM files r giving problem. observed that every time one 23 kb size zip part file is giving problem. It downloads 99.95 % of ROM's file but above one file gives problem. I have no other fast internet resource. Can u email me xperia & joyos rom in parts. Or any other solution? please help me frnd

Guys good news! this day I'm tried downloading all files that related to wi fi usb tethering, even ics rom I downloaded. I comparing the work of marco and work of karandeeps, were karandeeps1 successfully fixed usb tethering on his cm 7.2 RD. Now I got a idea were the porblem is occur that usb tethering are not solve by xdeveloper. I admit that I'm a noob one coz, I only start editing android file when I bought a LG optimus net that I almost can't afford. here is the fix: I will illustrate here so that some developers see my technique and also you guys. The main problem is the usb driver for detection to pc. Now all usb driver usb charging kernelor mass storage driver for on and off are located at: system/etc/firmware. if you use root explore and try delete this folder name firmware and then reboot. after reboot connect your usb cable and see if detect, because I'm sure it will not detected. please don't delete you firmware folder. this is only a example. USB DETECTION fix: download this file ''fw_bcm4329'' just Google this file and download then put to system/etc/wlan. set permission to: use root explorer user-check read-write Group-check read other-check read reboot your device now download this file from karandeeps1 rom and pls give thanks to him for great job. Guys! Deep made a new cm7.2 rom and base on gingerbread. 1.JoyOS.. apple interface look a like 2. GingerBurb with Beats . Ics interface. Gingerbrub wi fi and blue tooth not fix his doing right now fixing this. according to him after uploading JoyOs he will reUpload new Gingerburb rom Now I'm using JoyOS running smoothly on my phone ang speaker is loud. the only one thing bug is USB tethering not working. Pls use xperia rom and JoyOS only, because gingerburb rom wi fi and blue tooth not working I'm not interested on ubs tethering so I love this room. I have Xperia rom with Beats. remember original xperia rom of Deep is no Beats. he only put Beats audio on GingerBurb rom. So I edited xperia rom,gingerburb and cyanogenmod 7.2 by karandeeps. to make a better rom but I can fix tethering coz, I not familiar with tethering kernels.... hope someone can provide me a tethering kernels...for lg optimus net or update zip for cm 7 or gingerbread 2.3.7 tethering zip. if this issue solve I will share my work to all you guys. if you are not that teche guy and using karandeepdps custom rom. so the biggest problem faced is screen getting stuck in horizontal mode, solution to it is using a locker other than stock lock with rom I suggest 91 locker bcz its light my phone never got stuck from last week. for all of you guys xperia rom is a new edited cm 7.2 and fix all bugs except one. you must install root explorer so that you can delete this file ''EventStreamPluginTwitter.apk on phone root system/apps..find this apk and delete. andreno 200 I try to put this but will I open sony hd zip, it's the same to what andreno 200 is. so no need to put install this. yeah guys I know marco soon fix all bugs on ics but if openmax code will not release ics for armv6 will gone. hope you vote on my older post for requesting openmax codec but Xperia rom is better than cm 7 because xperia rom performance is better than cm 7 and phone call volume is now solved on this rom. it's very loud and I'm using this now even WI FI USB tethering not solve but Deeps1 promise that he will post the next update. now I will stay on Xperia rom, waiting for ICS developed by marco

Guys! good news Deeps1 made a rom for our lg p690 called Xperia Rom lg p690 better than cyanogenmod but usb tethering and fm radio not working on this rom but running smoothly on my phone bugs: 1.usb tethering will be fix on next update 2.FM radio not found=but I fixed it through my own work on FM radio.apk customize. 3.screen lock not working =but I fixed by downloading screen off and lock.apk on the market. link: Now I'm using xperia rom on my lg p690 very good performance and battery life is better than cyanogenmod 7. gaming are more stable and speed is better than cm7.2 overall looks are better than cm7 and screen are great no lag. now that I fixed some bugs, I will focus on USB Tethering coz, this is the only one missed on this rom. Guys! who are developers here? I can give you a little help. 1. you can apply fix of camera by opening ics.4.0 by marco.zip using winrar. Now, your in winrar and see all files inside ics 4.0 zip. 2.leave it on pc screen and drag your camera.pk or any file that you made. when you dragging a camera.pk or any fix you made it will automatically paste to ics 4.0 marco zip and your ics 4.0 marco.zip will not change and it's still you can install using clockwork recovery. 3.So, guys maybe you have a little Idea on how to fix camera and Bluetooth on ics. pls. try this it will not harm your phone. And if you make brick your phone, example your lg optimus net p690 boot up but blinking and stuck on LG logo, or when boot up you can't enter on clockworkmod, or your phone boot up and stuck on ICS LG logo. I made a Fix for this because I brick my phone when try to fix camera problem and Bluetooth. I'm thinking to go to nearest LG Center but, I fix it and now no worries for future problem. just post here if you had problem like I said so that I can help you. Sorry I'm pinoy

Guys! its better to use cm 7 so that your experience on custom rom will be widen and good preparation for ICS 4.0. ICS 4.0 can now be install to our phone but for developers purpose only. ICS known bugs camera,Bluetooth,censor,base band radio,battery drain quick,and bugs on some phone settings. I can't give you guys My fix Zip coz, I waiting the Italian update fix so that I can Edit it for best fix. On me I fix camera and Bluetooth but still some bugs not fix like boot up had a 20 process and cause lag to home screen. So sorry guys! I still stay on cm7 now and waiting for next ICS rom.

Here's a tip. A continuation in ace's post. If you want to run the 'screen on or off' animation, you must not flash the FIX 2. that's what happened in my phone. its like crashing everytime im locking my phone. then someone advised me that dont flash that zip. But if you dont like or use those animations, just leave uncheck those options and still flash fix 2. :)

GUYS! here is the complete cm7/9 with all update fix by karandeepdps. hit thanks for him for great job for us. link: now download CWM 7 FIX 1 and fix 2 download all kido version fix. no more problem: Tethering working perfectly and camera also great. Now GAPPS need for this is ''gapps-gb-20110828-signed look for that gapps in the list, below is the exact link link: installation: you must have already CWM 5.2.3 and rooted. 1.back up your current rom using clockwork recovery buy press home+vol-up+power button hold it until you see the recovery option. now hit back-up after backup finished.restart your phone. 2. restart your phone and connect your phone to pc. copy your backup files that you backup before and paste it your pc desktop for safety. 3.format SDcard and after that copy all cyanogenmod zip including the kidos update fix. 4.now turn off your phone. 5.Now press home+vol-up+power button hold it until you see the recovery option. Now let's say your in recovery menu now. 5. �Wipe Data/Factory Reset� �> Yes �Mounts and Storage� �> Format /system �> Yes. �Advanced� �> Wipe Dalvik cache �> Yes 6.The final step is to go to select Install Zip from SD Card �> choose zip from sdcard and then select the zip file you copied -it must be CYANOGEN 7.2.1 BY KD(C)zip 7.Sit back and relax while the zip is flashed. Once recovery shows that flashing is complete, install now GAPPS zip.after that completed restart your phone. 8. now your phone boot up with very nice cm 9 logo and after the home screen of your phone appears turn off the phone. 9. turn on your phone by pressing home+vol-up+power button hold it until recovery menu appear now install zip from SDcard and look for cwm7 fix 1 and install it after that install cwm7 fix 2 after that restart your phone. after your phone restart configure anything and after that turn off your phone. 10. now again press the 3 buttons to enter recovery menu and install zip from sdcard and look for kidos fix 1 install it and kidos fix 2 then restart. now you than the complete installation if your phone got error meaning you miss some zip or wrong installation procedures. helpful setting that I using now 1 go to cyanogenMod setting/performance/cpu setting/available governors and chose ''SMOOTHASS'' and exit. 2. go to cyanogenMod setting/Display/and uncheck screen on animation and also uncheck screen off animation. and exit. 3.Download easy battery saver after installing open it and hit optimization on below and select intelligent mod and exit and save. 4. download app 2 Sd pro. very useful open it and well till you if theirs a used cache. press clear cache. use this to clear not usable files in your phone. Guys!for those want to install full cm 7/9 deep sleep please see may old post some link are remove but its all in xdadevelopers site. dardiod and deep sleep cm7/9 are working together so meaning all update they made are compatible to cm7 custom rom ICS 4.0 for lg optimus net is in beta testing still camera and Bluetooth not working. I fix it on my lg optimus net but still not easy to do so, lets us wait dev to make a stable ICS. LG optimus net running smoothly in ICS 4.0 and this is the best device for Standard gaming using ICS. k Galaxy mini has 600 MHz processor so some games like temple run , angry birds , will come little but lagy as they are lagy on optimus net also. RAM is also less if you get it for 7k then bye it otherwise go for optimus net .

My LG OPTIMUS NET is upgraded to ICS CM9. :))) I flashed it last night and its amazing. the graphics are great, the effects also. but there are still some bugs. like BLUETOOTH and CAMERA. they still not work. but others work. The developers aare on their way to improve this rom. im still using it till now. :)

Wonderful phone at this price. Though it may appear to be competitor to Samsung galaxy Y, yet it is far better. 2 good things in specs i noticed as compared to galaxy Y: 1. codec support : LG optimus net supports .avi format out of the box, while galaxy y doesn't. 2. interface : LG has better interface. long press on any icon in notification area (e.g. bluetooth) takes you to that menu. In samsung, u can turn on bluetooth in notification area but cannot make it discoverable unless u follow the long route through settings menu... nonsense indeed.

if you want speed on stok ROM than optimus net rules but in custom ROM both must have same speed bcz they have same 512 MB RAM dont get confused btwn procceser speed its how heavy app your phone can handel on my phone mostly cpu shows only 300-400 Mhz beeing used but at heavy games you feel the diffrence.

k if you buying phone just for surfing and camera use + you want good looks then go with explorer and also if you don't know how to flash a new ROM But if you are like me heavy gamer don't care for the looks lg optimus net is great camera quality is awesome in daylight but indoor shooting is not good that's problem is with all budget phones surfing is fast and if you install cyanogenmod 7 you get flash player so all disadvantages compared to htc are removed ya the main advantage of optimums net over explorer is that you have 150 MB internal storage but in explorer its 90 MB if you are a android user you must be knowing how important it is. for those already installed custom rom congrats.. Until now I'm using Cyanogenmod 7/9 deep sleep and all update zip for fix are all installed. I love the camera on this rom..if you take a picture to a shaking object theirs no worry coz, when you press the take shot button it will automatically find and focus a angle that best for you. The stability of camera can compete to some phone that had a 8mp camera or 12mp camera. and also the new designed display screen very sharp and Good for playing HD video and games

A big thanks to ace and all of you who helped me For the past month. Now I am using cyanogenmod 7 and posting it from LG p690 cyanogenmod 7 It is really very easy to flash rom steps to flash a new rom. 1. Download flash_recovery.img, recovery.img and a custom rom. And most imp gapps. 2. Install MD5SUM checker, terminall emulator, my backup. From play store. 3.root your fone. Via. Unlockroot 4. Place flash_recovery.img, recovery.img to sdcard 5. Check MD5SUM of above to files. 6. Make a backup of your fone 7. Open terminal emulater and write ADB cmds from $ su Given by ace 2008 in older post. You will be in recovery menu after last cmd 8. Pros - best features for the price, Android Gingerbread!, USB MSD, reasonably responsive, hardware works well. Cons - rubbish camera, stock apps are poor (but easily replaced), can't customise ALL system tones with your own MP3s, battery isn't big enough. --- I've had this LG Optimus Spirit/Net/Link p690 for a few months now and I am very happy with it. Sure, it's not the greatest Android out there but it didn't cost me a bomb! The MOST IMPORTANT thing when buying an Android is to remember that THE STOCK APPS ARE POOR! That's just a fact of life and proof that Google are not the developers they once were. However, this is NOT a deal breaker because you can simply delete the stock apps, (or at least remove them from your launcher), and replace them with 3rd party apps from the Android Market, (now called Google Play). In particular the worst apps are: the Browser (replace with Dolphin), the Music Player (replace with PowerAmp), the Photo Galleries (replace with QuickPic), the Video Player (replace with MX Video), the Email Client (replace with K-9 Mail), the Calendar (replace with Business Calendar). Sure, it's a pest that ALL the provided apps are rubbish, but you just have to accept that and replace them. In most cases the replacements are free, and anyway, other new Androids are in the same boat so it ain't a deal breaker. The two biggest insoluble problems are: - The camera, which is about as bad as mobile phone cameras get, (so bad in fact that I simply won't use it). However I didn't buy the phone for its camera so I am prepared to live with it. - The battery, which will go flat after a day even if you don't use it. This is pretty poor but I gather that other Androids are in much the same boat. I carry around a charged spare, just in case I'm caught out. Sure it's a pest but if you charge your phone every night and make sure you always close your apps and don't leave the GPS, Bluetooth and Wifi on, it should be ok. Sure it would be nice if the screen were bigger and the battery were bigger and there were twin 1GHz processors, but that would COST! This phone gives a decent Android experience at a bargain price. If you don't have a lot of money and you want an Android then this may well be the phone for you!

It is almost a dead match to the explorer. very few differences. few ups n downs for both like. Lg has better cpu, explorer has inbuilt adobe flash, for the lg u have to root and install it. both have same gpu. overall very very similar.

Download and install 'Unlock Root' on your PC from here: Unlock Root of Android 2. Download and install LG Android Drivers from here: Reastart your PC after installing drivers. 3: On your phone, Check 'USB Debugging'. Path: Menu > Settings > Applications > Development > Tick 'USB Debugging'. 4. Again on phone, Unmount your SD Card. Go to: Menu > Settings > Storage > Tap on 'Unmount SD Card'. It'll give you a warning. Just press OK. 5. Connect your phone with PC. Phone will ask you to 'Turn on USB Storage'. DO NOT TURN IT ON! You should see this message on phone's notification bar: 'USB Debugging connected'. 6. Root your phone using SUPERONECLICK V2.2 ace2008 5th Jan 2012 Thu, 14:43 GUYS! mY LG Optimus Net rooted na. android v2.2 or v2.3.4updated :salute: So this is the rooting process.. it worked on mine it'll work on yours(U need a PC to execute this) IN THE LINKS REPLACE 'xxx' WITH 'www' 1. Download Superoneclick 2.2 [By xda-developers] This is what will root ur device so download from here :- SuperOneClickv2.2-ShortFuse.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download After downloading extract it anywhere you please. Now go to ur system folder i.e where you have installed your OS (i.e Win xp, win 7 etc) Lets say its in the 'X' Drive. So go to X:/WINDOWS/system32/cmd.exe and copy it, now go to where you installed Superoneclick. Inside the folder there'll be a folder as "ADB" open it and paste the 'cmd.exe' you copied. 2. Dear Brother, Optimus Net is having two native keyboards. One is LG-Keyboard Designed by LG for the Phones manufactured by it and other one is Android keyboard Designed by android team and it is available all android phones irrespective of the manufacturer. Both the keybords have more or less the same features. And I feel the LG Keyboard to be more user friendly and for me it is having some more features than the Android keyboard. The latest update deletes/Hides(may be some bug) this android keyboard. But you have the LG-Keyboard and another thing the same Android keyboard you can download and install from android market.

i have also the same problem..but i downloaded the application named quickpic from market..it is fast and very smooth...and zooming is also better because after zooming of my photo to some extent with the stock gallery it is blur but at that point quickpic viewer never appeared blurred

riya choosing phone among net n explorer is depend on the features u wanted in ur phone. Cuz both hv their issues like xplorer has intrnal memory prblm, net har updatn prblm, xplorer doesnt hv earpiece with the set, it has low prcsor spd than net, net doesnt hv adobe flash, its video rec qality is poor than xplorer. Batry bkup of net is btr than xplorer. And about 3g spd, If ur in india none of the service providers going to provide u spd of more than 3.6mbps, atleast not till 2014-15. Now i m hving 400kbps spd in my 3g ntwrk. So that is not a big issue. Ovr al prfrmnce of net is betr than xplorer. So choice is urs which 1 u pick. Hope my review wil help u.

AUTOMATIC SONG PLAY,call,etc. On my lg optimus net I'd never experience that automatically play song,call,or automatically open browser. when your not using your phone clear your used apps. exit everything and press power button to lock the screen and put on your pocket. 100% will not automatically run apps. I HAD A LITTLE TIPS YOU GUYS TO MONITOR THE RUNNING APPS AND VERY EASY TO STOP IT. 1. TOP YOUR SCREEN AND HOLD, it will bring you to shorcut option. 2.will you on shortcut option press application manager. 3. after pressing it you can see a shortcut icon name'application manager. icon is like a empty rectangle. if you run a game and pres home button will bring you to home screen. Now that you are in home screen take a look on application manager icon, you can see their is a 1 appear on the rectangle icon. Open application manager you can force stop the game you playing. So..this is useful because if the apps you open got hang up,you can just press home button and open application manager icon, press stop. so that's it. no worry ^_^ Sorry of my English I'm Pinoy

lg optimus net update v10e jan. 2012 steps 1. install lg pc suit and lg usb driver 2. connect your phone and go to setting/storage/check-mass storage only. now on your pc you can access your sdcard.disconnect your phone 3.connect your phone, this time you need to uncheck-mass storage only.on your pc will notifly you that device driver like modem,bluetooth,etc are intalling. after all devices are installed disconnect your phone and reboot your pc. 4. now opening lg pc suit and connect your phone,uncheck mass storage only. 5. click -connect phone- now that connected 'press' sync. after sync finished. exit pc suit=make sure you shutdown pc suit. 6.now open lgmobile update icon on your desktop. if you can't see lgmobile update icon on your desktop, open lg pc suit and connect your phone. when connected click phone update. when phone update started and will till you that your phone had already a latest update and close everything. exit lg pc suit make sure it's close. 7. now find a icon on your desktop' lgmobile update' open it and press customer support tab under customer tab you can see 6 options click the option 4 ''start updating'' now downloading lg firmware v10e make sure you will not disconnect your phone or interrupt. after the update finished it will turn off. now turn on your phone and congrats!!

I was wrong regarding this post. the latest firmware is v10c-jan-2012. This will resolve your memory problem, the lags. it works perfect fine now, I'm using GO launcher and my memory runs on 200/419.

Just download the software from the website, install it, connect your phone then enable debugging mode then click the root button from the unlock software. It will automatically root your Optimus Net. It will also automatically install root manager to your phone. Again, this is for rooting only. There's no ROMs or CFW that will be installed.

I have been using this phone for the past 2 months. And i have not encountered a problem. Its an excellent phone for the price of 8000 pesos(got it on sale from LG mall of Asia last december). This phone has not given me any trouble. I am very happy with it, all of it. Also, I've read people don't like the camera? I love the camera. 3mp is enough for me, seeing as all my other phones only had like 1.3 or 1.5. My pictures turn out great, maybe people should just get better lighting or use the controls. I love my phone, and have had no problems with it.

Hi All, The issue with automatic touch on the screen (may be call disconnect or whatever)is because of the bug resides in the phone software. Just go to Service center and they will fix it. Dude, you cant compare an android phone's battery life with a nokia phone.. Optimus net has the best battery in its range.. Galaxy y or ace or any sony ericsson phone's battery life is inferior to that of 1500mah optimus net. If you use the app juice defender you can get 2 days battery back up.

I didn't think this phone's battery was gonna be that weak .. I keep charging the phone every single day even if I don't use it that much. i go to work everyday so I don't use the phone for more than 10 hours daily.. When I do go home to use, it's just for reading some text messages, and I seldom go to internet, and the battery is already half empty! I thought Optimus Net's life was gonna be longer than my older phones. My old Nokia phone can stay up for upto 2 days. Other than that, the phone's great. The battery life's the only problem, really,.

I have been using this from november. Only problem i faced is it doesn't have a front cam. Advantages Excellent processing speed with 800Mhz with 512 Ram and Gpu graphics card. I been playing high definition games without any lag. Office documents can be done very easily. Excellent battery back up. If you are using juice defender you can get 2.5 days back up. That too with wi fi use. Can play high definition movies of almost all format if you install Rock player. Good music interface. Headset is awesome. There is flash player support for this phone. You need to download it from any android forum. guys, go for it.

hi...you can transfer your apps to sd by going to - settings -> applications -> manage applications -> click on respective app -> move to sd card. though not all apps can be moved some have to be stored in internal storage only. hope this helps.

Again things are being jumbled. We know that most(if not all) Micromax, Lava phones are not upto the mark. Surely you can't compare LG with these phones! That is not to say all LG phones are "good" and without issues. But then which company makes phones that are without defects/drabacks? In fact, I'v observed more than few Samsung phones that disappoint wrt durability. Just keep Samsung phones in the same range next to this ph... or even the O1 for that matter. LG Optimus Net call rejected solve. remember this LG Optimus p690 good for gaming,Internet,had a powerful RAM and ROM balance. i had the same problem about 2-3 minutes the call rejected. Solution: Go to setting/Accessibility. Press it and prompt you to download TALKBACK, just download it( make sure you are connected to WI-FI)and install or press install, in my case it's automatically install. Other things aside, major drawback of HTC Explorer is that it does not have AF cam. Even otherwise, the camera quality is pretty poor... like most HTC phones I have seen. If the Net's camera is at least as good (or bad) as the Optimus One's, than the Net has the better cam. Other big disadvantage is that I was told by the shopkeeper that Explorer does not come with handsfree; and no other handsfree they have tried works with the Explorer. So go blindly and deal with these and other issues. :)

HTC explorer has new chipset. It is faster than optimus net! Don't go on the clock speed. The main advantage is the HTC sense 3.5! The best interface for android. The hardware quality also goes to HTC. And most importantly it's an HTC! You can't even compare LG to HTC. My opinion, go for explorer blindly.

The LG PC Suite is installed in your SD Card, you need to download a File Manager application at Android Market so you can access all files installed in your SD Card so you can be able to extract it and install to your PC for Sync. I hope it can help you.

Thats a generalization that has very little practical value. It seems you are more interested in buying the name than the actual product. Samsung does not have a any good Androids in the lower range. Biggest drawback is their screens. Ace is overpriced for what it offers and has a very poor battery.

Huh... IIRC its the other way around. The Optimus Net box I saw in the shop mentioned that its Made in China. The Optimus One that I'v seen was made in Korea. HTC Explorer IIRC was made in Taiwan.

dear friend explorer has only one drawback , that is internal memory is only 90 mb. if you are using anhdroid phone then , you have to have big internal morory, cause there is many application which can not be stored in micro sd card. only drawback, camera is not autofocus but better then net. BESIDE IT, IT IS VERY GOOD THEN OPTIMAS NET. I SUGGEST YOU TO TAKE THIS ONE IF BATTERY BACK UP IS NOT PROBLEM FOR YOU.

I'll be honest with you. I haven't used explorer yet.. But my friend has it and if is happy till now but I'm also happy. Explorer's CPU is 600mhz while that of net is 800mhz and it really matters. The ONLY advantage in explorer is support of flash player. Means, you can run flash contents, play flash games like sky force etc.. I don't find much use of flash player, though. The main drawback of explorer is its internal memory which is just 90mb. Though you can download apps into memory card yet this amount is very low. For smooth performance, the internal always remain more than 40 or 50 mb. Many apps can't be downloaded to memory card. And you'll have to download flash player, doc viewer from android market in explorer as they are not there as default apps. The display of net is almost similar to explorer. Htc sense is better user interface but android's own vanilla is also good. In fact, very good. The price of explorer is 1k more than that of net in India. I bought net in 9.2k from delhi. I can give you address too. One more thing, we can upgrade the software but not hardware. You can't ever change your cpu from 600mhz to 800mhz and internal from 90mb to 150mb. The camera of of net doesn't justify with 3.2mp. My old 5233 has better camera and recording with 2mp. But Explorer's camera is also average and 'fixed focus'. I'm not an LG promoter. I've never used any lg phone before. I prefered sony ericsson 'personally' but these're out of my budget with same specs. I'm a user but I did search for more than one month and finally bought optimus net. In 9.2k, you can't find any better set.. And think what you are 'actually' getting in 1k more in explorer and what you're losing. Rest is your choice..

Hi all. I bought this phone yesterday. Earlier, I was on symbian 5233. For now, this has been a good performer. I've used it over 12 hours and recharged it twice. It has a very bad battery but you may afford it. Second demerit is loudspeakers which are not loud actually. Rest is best. If you're a 'smart' user, you won't mind these drawbacks but if you need all the things, you should save some money and go for live with walkman with Sony trust. But, in this price range, optimus net is best buying phone:-) And NEVER think about htc explorer. It's good for nothing.

i have my new optimus net.. itz totaly awsome, very fast.. i got hang up dew to rapidly pressing back botton while still loading , totaly understandable hahahahhaha but its fine now, i just found out that i installes massing apps hahhahhaha.. got too excited.. Back up battery is great... 10hrs totaly drain the battery due to turning on the wifi from the very start till it drains with massive games and calling with loud speaker ..... in short.. yo, it's all about syncing. it's pretty normal. try connecting to any wifi hotspot and create your google account (if you already have one, then use that account). mainly what it does is it will sync whatever you input in your mobile phone and in your Google account. after doing so, even offline, you could access your calendar.

Because it's an Android, this is a good buy. I had an LG P500 and it's serving me well up to now. Then I saw this P690 model on sale in a local store, so I bought one for my wife. She's happy and contented with it. Price over feature, this is really a good buy compared to other high-end phones (HTC, Samsung). Highly recommended.

Net has 800mhz clocked Processor where as Explorer has 600mhz clocked but an upgraded processor...Although im not sure about this,Optimus net is better at processing as it has the advantage of 512 mb RAM(over 256 in xplorer) which plays a vital role in multi-tasking...As per gaming,since both have Adreno 200 gpu,they should be ideally the same in performance.The other major thing to consider the amount of user available internal memory as it is critical to install apps from market.Explorer hardly has 90mb where as Net offers about 150 Mb.hope i answered your questions.

The galaxies are built with cheap quality plastics and the xperia mini is troublesome.optimus net got high configuration on paper but sometimes it hangs and will crash while multi tasking.HTC got their reputaion in build quality and the amazing sense UI v3.5 so, My suggession is to go for either wildfire s(if you want more internal storage) or explorer(if you want to explore the sense 3.5 and flash support).

How did you find out that it does not have a GPU? Actually I cannot find any mention of a GPU on the LG website either. But a lot of people insist it does have Adreno200 GPU. I have also come accross articles suggesting that the chipset used consists of the GPU, though I have no idea if they are correct or not. There may be something wrong with your handset. Could you check how the battery was used up? (go to settings->About Phone->Battery Use) Does the problem remain even after a restart?

HI,, dude i got this phone a month back, and i am pretty happy with it,, 1st aboout being the phone's body hot,, you can buy any android may it be galaxy s II or HTC sensation or the xperia,, androids do get hot coz they have heavy processors,, 2}after u dial the number u can cut the call from your end you dont have to depend on others to do that,3]the only drawback in this phone is the battery being the best in its class and cost,, but if u go to android market and download battery manager, your battery will be boosted up by 3 days, try that, i am using it and this phone is any time better than the nokia5800 coz i was using the same phone,, amit ,,

i brought this phone on nov 2011 and it's just 1 month i m finding this phone as a total waste of money.Phone looks preety good but don't impress by it.Just download 2-3 apps on u r phone will hang after every 10 min.can't do minimum 2 things together phone will crash.Back body will become so hot tht u can make omlet on it .If u talk more than 5 min back body will become hot.battery will give 2 days performance for 1 week only after tht half day.If u want to cut the call u have to depend on other person hang button will work after 10-15 attempt(this problem is from beginning) as if phone doesn't want u too cut the call.I was having nokia 5800 which i lost os i brought this and now it's a waste.10000rs for this phone is total waste

It has to be HTC explorer. It has adobe flash support while LG Optimus Net doesn't support Adobe Flash Player.

ive been using this phone for 2 mos and until now im not having any problems. most of the comments on this phone are all positive and sounds very biase but for me its really true and you will not regret it once you buy this phone. but if you are using the camera on ur phone expect that this will only gives you a mediocre type of camera and video record is fair or even poor quality. but this phone works very good in web browsing. between lg P500 and LG net i suggest to go for the LG net instead since lg net is more expensive than LG P500 adding few bucks will be worth it.

Optimus Net is now getting New update in India through OTA ( On The Air). Connect your Net to WiFi then go to setting - about Pone - Check Software update. It will upgrade instantly to V10c. Now it is more speedy and smooth.

it has a Adreno 200 GPU but sadly it dont support Adobe Flash. It can play some HD games but most are not supported because of the limited display.

You get a good set of features with this phone, like android 2.3, 800 mhz processor, 512 mb ram, 200 adreno gpu, awesome display rich in colors with awesome touch response, good descent resolution of 320*480 etc. I have installed some high quality games like NFS shift and Asphalt 5 and I am surprised to see the great quality of graphics. Absolutely no lag at all.

LG is good in terms of hardware, HTC gives lot of problem after some usage of 6 to 8 months. And HTC customer service is not good. LG is very good in terms of customer service.

just bought mine over the weekend. thi sis not my first time to own an LG phone. my only concern is battery life.. i didnt use wifi.. just basically texted and played few songs and it was only good for 24 hrs. is it normal or im just expecting a lot? anyway so far i'm loving it.. i like the social+ thingy.. makes twitter and Fb very accessible. im still trying to get the hang of it... going through some other features it may offer that I'm yet to discover.
