this mobile got gyroscope sensor...... this sensor is must requirement for android 4.2..... u can install custom android 4.2 rom very easily in it with full fledge photo sphere feature.... karbonn a21 etc dont have this sensor...... i should had bought this mobile instead karbonn a21........ companies should clearly write whether there mobile got either aclerometer or gyroscope.... but most just write G-Sensor to confuse the peoples..

if cam stop working just go to app setting & (force stop first) clear cache & data from stock camera app & then restart your phone, tada.. camera will work now (the camera problem is caused by stock app, better not to use it, simply freeze it by titanium backup if you can) or if you have rooted & install cwm then just wipe data & dalvic cache to get cam working.... or guys those having problem with wifi search, use 3rd party apps like wifi analyser from market (play store), it will show all available connections around

It's probably due to some camera apps u installed. I have the same issue also but my phone is already 1 yr old. I notice the camera didn't launch after i install quite a few camera apps.....But I can pinpoint which one is the culprit....Good luck.

I love the phone and dont have a problem with anything except the camera, I haven't dropped the phone except maybe once or twice but it wasn't hard or anything but my camera unexpectedly stopped working and idk why. Does anyone have any suggestions or tips on what I should do? I don't want to have to take it back to cincy bell to get it looked at unless I absolutely have to. Please help.

its got to do with ur internet settings. try setting ur proxy server and proxy port to 0. also if ur on vodafone network use vodafone mobile connect settings and not live settings it'll work. it did for me. as for other networks i have no idea but keep playing with ur apn settings and u should be able to get it running cause without market no point of owning this set.

Touch screen is bad at responding and stops taking commands properly within days. RMA support is poor and they take 15+ days to fix problems (except flashing which they do same day). Compare it with my 3 year old Nokia xpressmusic whose screen still works perfectly.

finally dumped symbian.I have usd symbian 4 11 years but believe me.u wont regret...Bought this phone in india frm saholic.com for 12999 inr(286.8 usd).played some hd games running absolutely fi9. broser works fine but the display has 2 lazy pixels but that is not at all a deal breaker. if u want a 1ghz ohone with adreno 205 with 800x480 go for this one... salsa costs more...wildfire s is farr less powerfull and galaxy ace is not up to par....motorola defy has same pricing but less powerfull chipset(but its rugged).the only real alternative was ideos x5 but again lesser power...so dis was the best choice..iam running 2.3.4 rom which gave a large bump to battery life and performance... gran turismo on emulator doesnt lag anymore....

Using Spice Mi410 for past 2 wks. Overall good ...but one issue nagginge me. Would appreciate help to solve. I am unable to connect using the Gmail apps or the android market ...keeps giving error " unable to connect to a reliable data server......this may be a temporary problem or the phone may not be provisioned for data services." Can't figure out whats wrong. My phone has data services.. infact I can browse internet, even log into my gmail usin the browser. But Gmail apps or Android market access keep giving error. So Iam unable to use Google applications and can't access Android market.. Please help if you faced this issue or have a solution. Thanks.

I am using Vodafone. Network connectivity is bad in areas with weak signals. Never faced a problem with my Samsung Monte. In call volume is quite low on my phone, i read it on other forums also. I too am getting random restarts every day just 2 days after purchasing. My battery lasts 16hrs. Processor is fast. Camera is ok. It compresses the photos too much which reduces its quality. I use an app called vignette which gives slightly better results. Using it, the photos size comes to around 2mb so the compression is decreased. There is no night mode or macro mode. Do u know how to get it? Loud speakers are not quite loud and clear.

Noticed this more while charging or when it is unable to detect network connection. Have you faced any such issue?? I want to know if this is a generic problem or it is problem with my phone. Pros: The in call audio is very good Wi-Fi works really nicely Audio (Does not support WMA) and Video playback is very good As the resolution is very good it is easy to read and presents web pages in good detail Due to 262K colors the screen appears dull HDMI display connected to TV is awesome for playing games browsing, watching videos and photos and audio (it can playback audio through your TV speakers) GPS works great Can make HD videos Cons: Front camera is a VGA only, rear camera pictures are avg for a 5MP camera. Signal detection is poor Battery lasts for few hours only (4-5 hours) - I make around 30-45mins of calls, Wi-Fi browsing, listening 1-2 hrs of music over bluetooth Restart / Shutdown issue is the biggest issue i have faced (has not been up continously for more than 2 days maximum)

The phone is sold as Spice Mi 410. The phone works great and beat the Samsung Galaxy's and the Google Nexus's in terms of performance anytime, the apps launches faster than any of the similar high priced phones including iPhone 4. Though having a similar speed 1GHz Qualcom processor, the phone is an excellent buy and a complete value for money. The only issues I face are: 1) Phone bottom gets heated when charging otherwise it remains fine. 2) Wifi strength is weak and the phone does not connect to Wifi from even half a distance an iPhone 4 can connect. I have see similar problem on Samsung Galaxy S and few other expensive Android phones. 3) The screen is not as bright as Samsung or iPhone and lacks color depth, but it ok as I am not a photo enthusiast. Perfect for viewing text. Other than that I have not seen any problems in fact the phone touch responsiveness is better than and 20K+ Android phone.

Been using it fr a month heres the rev..Spice mi 410 has the best value for cash...quick phone at apps but bit lag at the home screen..batt life is sad..like 16 hrs on standbi..no mem card so ul hav to hav one readi..screens gud..camera hmm serious i dunno..but hd rec is superb! ..there are crash issues at apps..and to remove the bak cover is horrible at 1st since u dunno to get it open..overall the phone is gud..3g calling and apps just eats the batteri..going to check out the mini hdmi but cant get it :( ..sound qualit is gud but too quiet ..

There multitouch issue in this phone. u can pinch to zoom well, pinch to rotate also works in two apps that i tested,though not 100% perfectly. Camera is ok. Lacks night mode,macro mode etc. Video recording is 720p 30 fps. The in call volume is low and the quality is not that good. You get what u paid for. If u dont want to play games which require complex multitouch actions then this phone is fine.

This Mobile is Value for Money. All in all, you wont regret buying this. Have been using it very happily. Have Upgraded to Cherry Mobile Magnum HD with official Android 2.3.4. Has Decent Battery Life (When compared to Xperia X10), Very good picture quality (for money we pay, dont compare with Amoled you wont like it) Fast Enough to compare with Google Nexus one, and S (not S 2). Display is not scratch proof or Glass display, so we may want to buy nice screen guard (be prepared). We cant expect everything in world for peanuts right?

I got one from Spice telecom Mi-410 2 days back. Big specs at budget price (Rs 14000). Also 6 month EMI scheme from HDFC bank credit cards. Some things that struck me - big nice screen, very readable outside also, but then I am new to smartphones with big screens, no previous experience - Has a weird dark brown color and metal built which doesnt seem very strong. Am used to Nokia E71 build quality - UI is snappy and typing is a hoot with swype. Will downloads other apps and see how it goes when I get time - I felt battery life is not good. Maybe it is the large screen. Had a 1 hr conference yesterday (total about 2 hrs of talking whole day) and also Wifi was on whole day. It got discharged in one day. On my Nokia it used to last 3 days easily. Maybe smartphones with big screens do not last long. One good thing is that I can charge it from my laptop which is good enough for me. - One major issue was that it is not so good in signal detection. At my home it is able to connect to network only sporadically. The Nokia used to show low signal but it would never drop signal altogether. If you are in low signal area then you might want to test it out before committing Rs 14000 on it. Overall its a great experience when you have good signal and battery is full. Falling in love with android. Will try out Gingerbread hack after I see more people trying it out on this phone :D

We all like to know some things about this IDEOS X6, namely: 1) how is the battery life with a 480 x 800 pixels, 4.1 inches screen? 2) what is the quality of the chassis build? 3) how does the 1GHz handle the Android 2.2? 4) will it deserve some oficial updates from Huawei, to Android 2.3 for instance? And I'm veru surprised b'cz this phone use vmsplit 2g not 3g .. I'm very sad about that .. this phone not comppatible for Android Gingerbread . .

I have the Spice MI-410 - which is supposed to be the rebranded Indian version of the Ideos X6. When I check my phone using android explorer and many other similar apps, I saw that there is only 349 MB RAM and 1GB storage in the phone. this is certainly much lower than the 512 MB and 2 GB which is advertised

I bought CSL Mi410 two days ago, so far I'm liking it. Apart from few issues: 1) Touchscreen is a bit wobbly, I dont know how to describe it but thats describe its touch sensitivity 2) Battery life is woeful. Less than a day on regular usage. Rooted and use SetCPU to downclock it, battery life improved about 20-30% Apart from that, have near zero complain, tons of RAM and ROM to run and install programs. Screen isn't that good compared to the like of Retina or AMOLED, but its huge and viewing angle and color reproduction isnt that bad, playing games on it is a breeze, tried few of them Tom Clancy H.A.W.X, Assasin Creed, and FPse PSX emulator running Gran Turismo 2 Simulation mode. Every single of this game runs flawlessly, a bit of slowdown in heavy areas but nothing to worry about. All I could blame is stock ROM CLS provide, its still 2.2.1. Someone already flashed to Wellcom A99 2.2.2 ROM and they say the performance and battery life improved significantly, but I haven't tried it yet 'coz it voids warranty

An update of my CSL Spice M410i review. Almost 1.5 months of usage. So far so good. Only need force restart once. Since my last review posting, I have tried out the GPS navigation APP MapKing that come with my phone. First time start up, GPS took like a minute or 2. But, the app start really fast (compared to my last phone, HTC Tytn.....this phone is really like superman!!) HDMI out with the Mobo Player with some Xvid & MKV video, really good. This phone can actually support bigger screen than my 42" LED TV. Augmented games run good with the camera. Only real weakness is the battery. The best is 1 day of usage. Most of the power is consumed in standby mode...Really strange. Bcos, my last 30min phone call only consumed 3% of battery power. But, the 6hrs of standby (midnite till morning) will drain 15% to 20% of the battery....Hopefully, version 2.2.2 will improved this :P

Bought this phone (CSL Spice Mi410) last week at local PC Fair for MYR$999(USD$330) at special offer price. Normally retailed for MYR$1500(USD$500). I've previously used my friend Sony Ericsson X10. Initially some video players that work smoothly on X10 just cannot run properly on Ideos X6 which make me worried. Luckily, I tried another video player called Mobo Player & problem solved!! This phone played Xvid files best. (H.264 format not too smooth) After trying out lot of apps in Market, I can say that 100% of the games works fine. Even those image filter Apps that need to turn on the camera works!! LED Flash light app works. Haven't see any issue of screen black out after call or keys frozen. I haven't experience any phone stopped working that needed phone restart.....Sometime, need to wait for apps to close after opened too many at the same time. No a big issue. I have use Market to download app with wifi on while playing with games or apps. No issue. When phone is freshly started, ram memory is around 240mb. After some usage...It stays around 150mb. The only complain I have is, there are on too many pre-installed app that keep occupied the memory evethough I am not using it.....Hopefully they can take out some of them in the next update. Btw, my phone is still with Android 2.2.1 The demo set that I tried on the PC Fair actually using 2.2.2....

This phone already available in the Malaysian market this month, brand name under local mobile manufacturer CSL MI410, after 3 days playing with this high end but "pocket" friendly (i mean in term of pricing wise) gadget, i found it even have better performance then SE EXPERIA X10 which still carrying the Android 2.1 Enclair OS. Conclusion: Value for money and best performance!!!

update.. i just bought last 2 units left in philippines, and one of them came with vanilla Froyo 2.2.1 with no Cherry Mobile operator startup, nice. Installing custom apps through Windows7 64bit laptop took a bit of workaround but eventually got it, even though Huawei havnt released the Android drivers yet. Huawei only posted the U8800 X5 drivers a few days ago so shouldnt be long. Awesome phone, no shiet Sense UI like HTC this is complete customizable no need to Root with these. cheers

Wow and the deception continues... Am sure this was the model being projected as Spice MI-410 for a while on some web pages. Looks like mobile companies have decided, "okay, this phone looks good, we don't need to do our own innovation and work, just mild touch ups, and we'll all just name it differently and price it differently and see who wins!" Sheesh, if some companies overdo with too many models to make one mad, we have others that take one model and share among so many companies! lol Nice method of cost cutting. Only trouble it took me a while to find a protective leather case that fits snug and has space for front & back camera. but i found one. Most of this phone in Thailand is bad quality, may this cause from ROM. Hope to better soon. :) This phone drain much more battery life. If you use it longer it will hot from battery cover. Somes of MP3 show bad quality sound, but build-in ringtone is clearly. Screen must be covered with Anti-Glare protector, if not it might be flash and fast moving after reach the cold climte. Anti-Glare can help this causes away. :) I used this phone for 7 days, The best value Android Phone at this time. :)

The appeal is it runs vanilla android unlike most droid phones like Samsung,Motorola... This means you don't have to wait for Samsung, Motoroloa or whatever company to come out with their own update for droid. Now, instead of the term "Huawei" appearing on in-depth driver detail of these devices, why does it show "Foxconn"? Is Huawei in partnership with Foxconn? Is it safe to purchase these early distributed products and consider it peacefully as a Huawei device? Huawei did the phone for: Malayan carrier CSL model SPICE Mi410. Philippines carrier Cherry Mobile model A400 Magnum HD. Every other carrier it's a Huawei Ideos X6 It's a great phone, snappy as hell! And quick Adreno 205 graphic chip (it equipped with a "Scorpion" 8250 1ghz CPU). Hope it arrives soon in western carriers.

Ofc u don't know what are u talking about . Android os development is fast and good. And it is on much more devices then IOS . IOS has optimisation for positive side and no desktop no freedom like many other things for negativ side. This is why android 2.3 and 3.0 are much more advanced then IOS. Read more and investigate more for your facts because Android is better os then IOS in more ways then one and u can't compare Windows with linux but u should compare windows xp and 7 with MAC Os x. Which is better again windows. Linux isn't developed by one side like android os it is in fact developed in more versions than 2 so u can't compar it to other os. This is great phone so i m going to wiat til it comes to europe like altek leo.

True there are certain areas where Chinese companies have yet to mature. But this is mostly true with products built with manual labor (e.g. cars, clothes, coffee makers, etc.). But gadgets are built by machines (mostly western or Japanese). The "Chinese" component of production is simply watching the machines, calibrating them and resetting them when they get "stuck up". That's why most branded phones are built in China now. The beauty of Android as an Open OS is just that. It's "open". Otherwise, it won't come up against the iPhone OS so fast. Much like Linux did against Windows.

I have bought Huawei Ideos about a week. I have been using window mobile OS for years and have no problem adjusting to Android OS. Thanks for the many software engineers developing this OS for free. Well I shall say Ideos is a pretty good phone for its price which support many features as other branded phones in the market. There is one feature that I cannot find in other branded phones that Ideos is having. Ideos under the wireless & networks has a feature named Tethering & Portable hotspot. Wow this feature is great, it is a walking wifi modem phone. Well this is the only reason why I buy this Huawei Ideos. I share my internet access through my wifi modem phone with my friends and still I can receive incoming calls without internet disconnection. I hope Ideos X6 have the same feature and I shall definately trade in my Samsung Omnia II for this phone.

Chinese companies yet to come of age when it comes to quality. Products do have a very thin line between VALUE FOR MONEY and MONEY FOR VALUE however, I have not heard anyone going gaga over such products. Android should start drawing someline now as they have got a huge critical mass and they are the most preferred SMART PHONE OS worldwide. Now Android should consider itself positioning a bit and not allow its OS to be used for cheap phones, cheap tablets etc.

But then again, Huawei also outsources some of their hardware produce from other china-based manufacturing companies as well. If it's their components, assemblies, or design, I don't know. Huawei and Cherry Mobile definitely shares the same OEM for this phone. Now it only depends on them regarding how well they invest on the Android OS customization. But for me, less is more; As I tend to change default apps with better ones from the Android Market. Now, I haven't seen this phone personally but given this phone(also pertaining to Cherry Mobile Magnum) has the same OEM as with the Cherry Mobile Superion(a.k.a. Viewsonic ViewPad 7), this phone might be well-built and sturdy as well.

This is the BOMB... Huawei may not have the same weight on the market like samsung or nokia but the built very good phones at a lower price without loosing quality. Hope they send many to Portugal, they'll own the market here....

How is the fit-and-finish? Will it not look worn after 6 mos or so? Are the buttons/ports sturdy? How well did the earlier Huawei Ideos/T-mobile Pulse fare? I'm considering the Cherry version because it's what's available now and I can't wait any longer. Most likely coming from the same OEM supplier.

Well, they have U8150 Ideos at 100 euros. At the same size-factor is samsung galaxy 5 which is 200 euros, so they can make this a killer phone.
