I bought this phone in October 2016 and I am still using it, about to change it. I did not know the display was going to be so bad. The image looks really cheap, blurry and washed out, pixel density is really poor and if you watch something in landscape mode, from one side the view angle causes the colors go inverted which is horrible. The battery was OK for 1 year, after that it started draining really fast. In 2018 if the phone was used to browse the internet, watch videos or just do anything, the batter would go from 100% to 0% in 20 minutes. For the last 1 year I have kept the phone in Ultra Battery Mode when I don't use it so it doesn't shut down on me when I'm out and need it. About a month ago I started noticing that the display was displaying some darker lines around white objects on the screen from one end of the screen to the other. About a week or two ago, the whole display started glitching in white lines making it almost impossible to see what is happening. Now I have to keep it max brightness to keep the white lines to a minimum. The performance is to be expected of a phone from this caliber - unless you set apps to not be cleaned from memory, as soon as you put them on the background, they will reset and you will lose where you were. Switching between apps can sometime take 1-2 seconds and can be really annoying. The other problem is that the touch screen is not very responsive so if you have sweaty hands (sometimes even if your hands a dry), it won't register touches or it will register them on a different place than where you pressed, which sometimes making typing text a huge pain, because it will either press a different letter than the one you want or straight up make the keyboard close. Overall the phone is garbage, if you have to buy it and have no other choice, use it for a year and get rid of it and try to sell it before it becomes like mine. The phone is really cheap and bad so know what you're getting your hands into.

Always check the GPU when buying your phone if you want to game. Huawei seems to be tied to Mali GPUs, not sure why. Mali absolutely sucks but Huawei doesn't seem to care, so why should you, right? Anyway here are the 2 variants for this phone. 4G model: Mali-T720MP2 (a little bit newer than the next one) 3G model: Mali-400MP2 Choose the 4G model if you want to play a few less-demanding games. Forget something like PUBG. If you play this you will have to set graphics to low. Forget about the Mali 400. It blows like nothing else does. Mali is worse off than iPhone 4s. Imagine that.

So many different y3II, I thought I was buying a cheap 4G phone, in an emergency after breaking the screen on my daily drive, got it home and found out different. So I decided to play with it. Mine is LUA-U03. (didn't research it well enough) Sucks that so many Y3II exist. Huawei don't support this phone, if u brick it u cannot get a stock firmware. I had to use a Micromax Q380 aicp custom rom to recover this phone from a self imposed disaster. I would like to see what the stock rom performs like but the best I can do is an AOSP vanilla rom. This would be one of the few Huawei's that you can't get a stock firmware for. Probably the last Huawei I will ever own. Fixed my screen and now this thing is a toy. but not a favourite toy.

I bought a new Huawei LUA-U03 a few days ago. I asked for a dual SIM but it isn't. WiFi connection is good at home, but it will not connect to any mobile (cell) network except in a very few places like the middle of the city. I live 100 km out, near a tower but even if I drive up to it - no signal. I have swapped SIM cards (same carrier) - card works everywhere in my old dumb phone but not in the U03. So - it will make a connection in the city and next to another tower near the road on my way home. But will not connect to the tower near my house operated by the same carrier. Other people in the village have no problem making a connection. Doesn't sound like a SIM card problem, so what is it?

The phone isn't that bad for budget users but it is quite (very) slow when apps are updated to their latest versions. The camera is okay for an urgent matter (like taking a photo and sending an email). Huawei claims that this phone has a total 8.00GB of internal storage but unfortunately it is actually 4.13GB. The screen consumes way too much battery and the display isn't comparable to a Samsung one (or even a Xiaomi which is a low budget phone). Apps like Facebook are very slow and they always lag. It is recommended to download Google Keyboard app for a better keyboard. However, surprisingly large apps (games more specifically) work perfectly (Ex:-NFS13 [Need for Speed Most Wanted] and WWE 2K [WWE 2K15]. By the way, PSP games don't work very well. Furthermore, it would be better to have an SD Card (16GB for example to move all apps into it and save internal storage). The rainbow light in this is super cool and it is allowed to be changed by the app "Rainbow Light". An English dictionary app is missing in this phone. A factory designed rubber and plastic mixed protection cover is also available in the market. The sound system is brilliant and with all these features included with the drawbacks, personally I suggest the Huawei Y3II LUA-U22 for a budget smart phone user.

I have one! an annoying piece of junk. It does not power down automatically. the screen keeps burning battery. It constantly turns itself on in my pocket and randomly plays videos. The flash light keeps turning itself on in my pocket.. And its latest trick was to change operating language on me. since I don't speak Indonesian that was a real pain. I had to go on line and google instructions on how to change it back. If I was relying on the phone I would have been screwed.

I got my Huawei Y3ii in December and love it. But, storage of 8gigs is not good. Limiting the number of apps you can download. If you store your contacts on the phone (with more details incl email etc) it quickly uses a lot of space and I'm constantly having to delete apps and transfer contacts to sim which I don't like. So for just using casually, it's brilliant, but as a mini office, the storage is very limiting. Storage cards help with photos, but you can't put your apps on them.

I bought this in October 2016 and so far it's good. I don't use the camera, so I don't care that its only 5MP. My only complaint is the screen, other than that the phone is fine. If you want to browse websites, read news, play some games (I mostly play Weiqi and text-based RPGs so I don't waste a lot of battery) and read books, this phone is perfect. Like I said - the only drawback for me is that the screen is subpar.

Is there anyway you should compear a 5000 mAh battery to 2100 mAh battery capacity. I think you were just miss thinking and over expecting. However, I have equally used Tecno L8 and L8 plus. That's a device with a 5.5 screen size, so if Tecno gave you 5000 mAh battery in that model doesn't mean HUAWEI should give you same in their Y3 ii model. I recently used the HUAWEI Y3 ii, that's a device with a 4.5 screen size. With the 2100 mAh battery, to me it was ok not poor. I was impressed with the battery performance despite the fact that I am a heavy user. If you need a high battery capacity device from HUAWEI smart phones, then go for HUAWEI G Power or HUAWEI G Power Y6. Moreover, you should know that if we were to talk about software and graphics in smart phones, HUAWEI has it higher and better than Tecno. HUAWEI should be reated as grandfathers to Tecno and not the way you compeared them, that's my point. I am not a fan to HUAWEI nither Tecno but, I wish to let you know that that's the rob. Thanks.

I bougtht this model, the screen looks nice, I dont need internet very much. Despite that fact the battery life was too short, having to recharge everyday. I had to disable some features, and lower retroilumination to the halve, now the phone can resit two days. I know it is not even close to the 30 days in the old days of nokia, but now i am happy. I am using this phone as a standby as my Galaxy Note 4 got some ROM issue. The mobile is able to withstand for the whole day. Mobile has a power optimization option which kills the apps by default (you can exclude few apps). I am very much happy with the battery performance compared to Note 4. On the other side, mobile takes more time to charge.

The internal memory is the pits. I've installed 5 apps from the app store that I need & now it's constantly telling me the memory is full & unable to update & the apps are on the mirco sd to not take up space. It's all being used by the OS.

When I bought it, it was quite fast and good. And for the asking price it was a real bargain. It came with Android 5.0. At some point it started giving my notifications about a system update, that would install Android 5.1. After this update, the phone became much slower. Now everything on the phone is slower, and Facebook hangs often. So if you buy this phone, remember to NOT run the update!

Do not buy this phone if you live in an area of above 40% humidity. The screen is poor quality and the 2, 5, 8 and 0, will not work in the humidity. I have had situations where I have been locked out of the phone due to entering the wrong password repeatedly (it wouldn't LET me enter it) and where the screen becomes completely unresponsive and I cannot hang up after a call. The screen is extremely poor quality to the point I am probably going to return it. I know others with this phone who have had the same problem. Also, note, there is NO NFC.

After I download the manual from the Website ,... open my mind a little bit with some instruction. .I open try all the button and Click the 3 horizontal line .... I became familiar with it. The manual need , more to add ...... Suggestion to more improve the MANUAL with ... clicking the 3 horizontal line to get more information. I highly recommend you don't buy this phone as it has many issues. If you scroll through your recent calls log while talking to someone during a call the microphone is muted and the caller can't hear you. Again during a call you are unable to turn the data for the internet on or off. I had to call the network operator to reconfigure the phone today because callers were hanging up prematurely but then found out after a month that in fact that the first and second ringer tone the phone wouldn't ring and after the fifth ringer tone the phone would stop ringing and a network audio message would tell the caller that I was unavailable. The phone when bought new comes with no instructions book to help you learn the complicated menu navigation and features of the phone. DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE.

The battery power isn't very good. It drains quickly but charges quickly too.u can plah heavy games like gt racing 2 etc easily but will heat up. Playing games while charging it will heat it up very quickly. Been using for 6 months.otherwise the battery and a bit heating issue.the phone's performance is pretty good

You can turn it off by the rainbow light app or in settings.go in the app and click on status indicator and turn it off. Otherwise it will work when phone is turned off and charged.turning off from music blink will stop it to turn on while playing music.

okey regarding the issues about the insufficient storage, all you need to do is just cut all folders in your internal storage then paste into your memory card storage.. thats what i did and its really work and my phone functioning amazingly.. please make sure to scan your phone regularly to avoid excessive cache 😀

Great phone for the price ($70 AUD). Used it while my usual phone was being fixed. Strong build, both body and screen were scratch free and did not show any wear and tear after two weeks of solid use. Speaker was loud and battery life was very good compared to my LG G3. The only quirk that annoyed me was that the bottom left button, which usually shows running apps, instead showed the menu. For the low price, you can't really expect any more.

I buy this phone the last week, i come from windows Nokia 1520, and i decided to abandoned windows phone as they lost the race with many bags lags and to take forever to updates, special and the narrow-pathetic numbers of apps. Well, in the beginning i don't wait as a cheap phone, to run smooth and without some problems but now i know that is one of the best phone even to compete with double of that price!! I use continues the first day for 4,5 hours to uninstall what i don't want and install what i want, i browsing internet, and all this time i am on line and the battery use only 18%!!! Now they give me 2-2,5 days with heavy use and 3-4 with normal!! I run antutu to make a speed test and the results is 25.200!! My daughter's LG spirit, which cost double, their score is 21.000! The sound in the speaker is so clean and loud, even my Nokia 1520 is second to this! The android use just 250mb of ram and with running apps i have 450-500mb free!! Of course the display is not top with a bit of bluish but is ok, the camera is ok also and special the selfie one.

It cost me 3090 Thai baht, and there's no other phone at that price with the same quality & specs. Been playing around with it for 24 hours now and I'm delighted with it. The photos are good, sound is good, I like the flashing lights effects. The battery does drain fairly fast with heavy use but is excellent on standby. I don't think this phone would be too suitable for a heavy gammer, or general heavy use, but for general use it's outstanding value for money.
