I have been using this phone for a long time from now. Many things I should speak about this phone. Firstly the internal memory of 4gb is very sad. Secondly the battery after a bit of time ,when the phone is old the battery life would be really pathetic. Then this phone requires lot of patience. Though the phone has a lot of cons ..... It is a very strong buddy trust me this fell out from 8th floor rite onto the ground .... It is still under good working condition. Overall performance is awesome

I have this phone for almost 3 years now, and I can attest to it's durability. I dropped this device countless of times but discounting the small crack on the corner, it is still in perfect condition. The only issue is the internal memory, if you are a heavy user you should consider a phone with bigger internal memory since the new apps available in the play store is getting bigger everyday. Screen wise, it is bright and beautiful, the battery can last a day for a moderate user, but if you are a gamer or internet addict you need to refuel after midday. The front and back camera of 2 and 8 MP is also good but it is a little outdated, otherwise the overall performance is good. Lenovo phone is one of the best mid-price ranged phone in the market. I actually considering to upgrade my phone to a newer model Lenovo.

i think because of contact storage, before i used save all my contacts in phone memory. after 5-6 month later, i running out of storage. i check data storage it about 1gb..you can check in setting all apps. what i do, reformat and all my contacts save in google account, much safer and easy to access. now my data storage only 40mb

Lenovo S920 is just a good mid-range smartphone. Everything is working well as expected. But, its stock rom just ugly with lack of customisation. So, I have rooted and flashed MIUI7 into my S920 which does make it more beautiful. Back camera is great, but front camera is quite horrible plus mine already getting dusty inside the camera glass. Internal memory is a bit troublesome as storage for installing app only around 900MB, so I have to flash some script to fully utilise internal memory for app installation. Charging port is also easily broken, so you have to be extra careful when using it.

Have used it for a little over 2.5 years now.. And have replaced the whole 5.3" screen+digitizer assembly thrice, which comes without the protection of a Corning Gorilla glass. The large screen ruptures quite easily, just put the phone in yr jeans and ride a bike, you'll already begin noticing minor cracks on the display screen, It has been one of the worst investments by me and has costed me more than the price of a Nexus 4 available back then. Only for people who spend 90% of time inside their homes or women who can carry it in their handbag. Phone is feature rich but what's a touchscreen phone with a ruptured digitizer and display screen? You can't use it at all. And also keep in mind that the service center always runs in a shortage of Lenovo S920 display assembly. You have to buy it from Chinese sellers and the product along with the shipping charges would cost you around 6500 INR. Lenovo is a total NO for me now! My bro has a Asus Zenfone 5 and it's screen is rock solid, he dropped it from a moving bike and still the screen survived completely intact. I think Zenfone 5 is like 100x better than S920 on all fronts.

Used for 2+ yrs. • Feature rich phone I like especially the float button and screenshot icon given in notification area for easy click. No mention the file access in phone through WiFi connection. Overall Performance is good. No hanging issues. Browsing Speed is ok and not great. Pictures are good only in sunlight. Cons: • Internal memory is very less. At any time only less than 900 MB is shown as free space. • Poor engineering Charger port pin came off the slot many a times (along with battery charger)..Rectified 3 to 4 times in outside service centres ( Not lenovo's - bec their quotes are not worth repairing) because of this poor construction I have to now look at buying another phone.

This problem also occurred to me several days ago. This is how I do it: 1. Make sure your battery is less than 15%. 2. Reboot the phone. 3. Go to Power Manager. Plug in your charger. Click "Battery Calibration". During calibrating process, please ensure that the charger functions and plugged in well. Do not disturb the process as calibration may fail. Let it charge until full 100% and you will get the battery experience as good as new! :D

I have been using this phone for a year + too.. I got kitkat upgrade after many versions of jelly bean upgrades. But I better chose not to upgrade to kitkat as I read many negative reviews after upgrade. So better stick on to JB OS. I didn't find any problem with JB OS and I'm happy with it.

Hi Silma, I faced the similar problem. Memory shortage here refers to internal memory of ur phone, not the external one.. 1. So make sure all your WhatsApp files are stored on ur external memory card. Make it default by going to settings. 2. Also deleting chat history and few group conversations helps a LOT since WhatsApp is stored in internal memory and it cannot be moved to external storage. (Only audio video can be redirected to external storage) I saw the effect immediately. So I deleted many of the chat histories. 3. Do this for google chrome and Google+ (not GMAil) by going to settings -->apps and then clear data Note : do not do this for Skype or WhatsApp or Vonage kinda apps as it will clear all ur credentials n you'll have to create one more new account. Hope this helps. Cheers!

Even I had similar issues of memory full n was not able to download any app. Memory full refers to internal memory n not your SD card memory. So how much ever you try to delete stuff from ur external memory card, it still shows up. What I did : 1. I deleted unwanted chat histories from.my WhatsApp.. Especially the group messages. Believe me, it helps a LOT! 2. Make sure you're storing all the video n audio files to external memory card. Make it default in your settings. 3. Clear data from Google chrome by going to settings -->apps and then clear data. 4. Clear data in Google plus (not GMAil) by going to settings -->apps and then clear data. Note: don't do "clear data" to ur WhatsApp or Skype as you'll lose all ur credentials and you'll have to create one more new account.. I did the same for Vonage app n lost it :( . luckily didn't do it with WhatsApp.. :) I hope this will work out and solve ur problem. Best of luck. Cheers!

NO, you cant downgrade ur lenovo S920 from kitkat to jellybean by factory reset. You can only downgrade using a flash tool. :-)

you can restore ur phone software by downloading a flash tool and a jellybean firmware online, follow some steps to do that... just search on youtube how to do such thing, some jellybean software wont fit in lenovo S920., problems are "no signal" but dont panic after flashing your room you cant root your phone thru iroot, and download mobile uncle in order for you to enter the "IMEI -note: you can see IMEI at the back of the phone 2 IMEI for dual sim". and thats it you can enjoy ur lenovo s920 jellybean

If you have lot of apps, avoid this model. Its internal memory really is too small. And we can only use 2gig of the 4gig internal memory in one time. The other two gig can't be used if you use an external memory card.

Been using this device for more than a year now, upgraded to kitkat. As far as I remember, only restarting by itself for onnce or twice. Using this phone for work, social media, No game. The only problem I'm having is the internal memory capacity. I saved most of the apps on external memory but still, updating apps cost me space. So I uninstalled several updates and my Lenovo S920 is working just fine. So my review? Value for money and worth it. Not planning on having new phone yet

Factory reset is the answer. Had the same issue before. Been using my phone since January 1 2014. After the reset all the problems were solved. Make sure to back up everything before the reset. Good luck.

But I do agree if any of u complained about the speaker quality, I doubt Lenovo only use from street side second hand speaker, the sound was terrible, lose to local brand. Gotten this as a replacement for my cracked screen Samsung. It was a 4GB China set and proceed to flash it to ROW KitKat ROM. Everything is running smoothly. As I am not an app heavy user, the 4GB is OK with me. Extremely happy with this purchase and made me wondered why I had paid so much more for a Sammy. Absolutely loved the form factor of this phone. If only Lenovo slap on an Octa Core processor, that would be a good upgrade indeed.

hi people, hopefully you can help me here. so ive had this phone since october and its still new i guess. so my headphones came today and when i tested it, the volume was really low and im just not satisfied with it. im not sure if its because ive used my in-ear razer morays earphones for a couple of months and just getting used to on-ear headphones. is there anyway to boost the volume up a bit? ive tried EQ and all but its just the same and changes the stuf but not changing the volume. thanks for you help.

If you upgraded your Lenovo S920 from android jelly bean 4.2.2(factory firmware) into Android Kitkat 4.4 , sometimes the battery of the phone drains fast. in my experience to fix that problem, All you need to do is; 1. Back up your files(pictures, music, messages etc.) to SD card or computer. 2. Try a Factory reset. (the appearance of the phone wont change. 3. After a factory reset be sure to fully charged the phone. and don't ever ever use the Battery Calibration anymore. ..Thats it!! I hope it's also fix your problem ..for info: [email protected]

I faced the same problem like u, however I just realised that u need to make sure that the speaker is directly to your ear-hole.Somehow u can press the volume button to volume up.

I have had this phone for almost 1 year. I love it because it is very thin and battery life is also quite impresive. However, I hate the speaker of this phone. Whenever i use it to call, I fell like i am using some cheap, non branded phone. Before this, i used S880 and it had the same problem. I don't understand why Lenovo could miss something so important. The solution is on the Power manager. (Touch the three lines on the upper left side of the green screen). There is also another option the power consuming apps you can put in whitelist all the apps you normally use so it wont disconnects if the screen turns off. I actually just figure this out a week after I upgraded my phone to kitkat. Now even my 3g is on 24/7.

Hi. Go to power manager and turn off the (disconnecting on time out). This setting automatically turns off GPS, Wlan and bluetooth after a set of time. Disabling this setting will solve your problem. 🐼

Why lenovo elemimated the useful features like 'infinite focus mode' on camera application?? And I think new version of Gallery and Camera application on Kitkat is too long for loading pictures and video. It make me so confused. And just for notice, the device camera (rear) not work correct when taking a pictures at night/or low light on enough distance from objects, result so blurry and because of that I feel unfortunately about not available 'infinite focus mode'. And then if you want to taking in HDR mode, the resolution is resize to 5 MP, not better than before I used in Jelly bean version. I've regret, I want to downgrade and choose install later for Kitkat version. :(

Just bought an lenovo S920 Basically, when i enters a number in contact list with the country code, like this +60145456551 when i receives a call from that number, the +6 isn't displayed so the phone doesn't recognize the contact, and displays only 0145456551 but when i receives an SMS, it displays correctly because SMS apparently are sent with the country code. Now if I change my contact and remove the +6, the calls display the correct contact name but on receiving an SMS it will display +60145456551 instead of the contact.. It's really annoying and the only workaround for me was to enter 2 phone numbers for each contact.. Please someone give me some solution about this.

Since my phone upgraded to version kitkat (official from OTA), RAM often have excess charge / over bloated. And I do not like the new Gallery app, it often longtime in loading images or video content. Instead that, the Camera is not good because of the infinite focus feature which is omitted, although the feature is very useful for taking pictures at night.

Guys i have updated Kitkat 4.4.2 as soon as it was released. One aspect i noticed is that reduced battery backup. Earlier i used to last two days with one charge. Post update it does not cross 24hours. Also battery does not charge 100%. Max charge i get is 88%. Last i am unable to connect Internal Memory to computer. Only external card is available. Internal memory increased got 1.32 GB extra (me using 8gb internal version before I was having 4.24gb of internal in jelly bean now after updating to KitKat got 5.25gb.. :) ) The apps will be listed on ur front home screen itself though home button will not work. Front camera gets an update of face detection.. Back camera has updated with more options.. before it was really disappointing in jelly bean to turn on the screen though the power button in on top of the mobile.. * Now after updating i can turn on my screen by pressing volume key and lock my phone with just one shake.. now am not using the power button at all..really happy.. Swift keys is not supported after updating KitKat lil disappointing.. Battery back up is same as before.. No changes lasts one whole day using 3g and WIFI network.. About Otg I think it supports after updating KitKat. . not tried yet.. Though not having the otg cable..will let u know later.. Other than every thing is working smooth n fine.. Really happy to be a lenovo user..really a worth buy... Thanks to lenovo dpt...:)))

Go for update!its good after you got update ur Ul very nice and fast. you need only back up your all application to SD card before you update to restore all apps after installs 4.4.2 as of now mine is not facing any problem. Try also download Atom launcher to manage your apps in home screen.

I downloaded new firmware today 4.4.2 baseband version s920.row.v104 build number s920I_row_s220_140722 It is android kitkat from lenovo system update on setting icon. This update makes my phone so fast. Just make sure you back up your files. All my files got deleted after this update. stupid me. :) Great experience with this phone. Wont exchange this with another phone.

I has an firmware update for S920 same where around 17/18 th July post update GPS is not functioning, Its unable to pickup location. I bought 2 Lenovo phones. 1 model S920 (2nd highest model at launch time) and another S820 which is also an expensive one. Both are horrible equipments in hand. It was for the third party strong cover that the phone is in 1 piece now, for it would have been shattered by now. The way this cell phone works is horrible. They claim the S920 TO BE A QUAD CORE. But the speed is so pathetic and esp while texting or sending emails, the sensitivity becomes so horrible. You type apple and it shows orange. Its a basic requirement that a touch screen phone should work when you touch. and this piece of does not especially while charging. The components are of very poor quality. Eg: the compass application that works very well on a Samsung phone, gives you 3 norths, when you move three times. This was verified to be a hardware issue after installing another compass app that works well. And now, to top it, the charging port has stopped working. Though not always, but at times you call someone and check to see, there was no call that went by! All in all, a phone worth for your waste basket. Worthless Chinese products. I should have known! Certain Indian low end products have the integrity to charge appropriately rather than LENOVO which I do not know, what does it think of itself. or its product. UTTER WASTE!

Don't throw your phone. Your Memory card must be faulty. Format it once then go to camera settings and select storage as memory card. Believe me, its a good handset. I am using s930.Works like a charm !

By default if SD card is removed, the phone sets default storage to Built-in. And hence all the apps installed on SD card are not accessible. To make app on SD working again, go to Settings -> Storage and select external storage as default write space.

Hi Everyone, Bought this phone last december *___* literally pouring all my earnings here. I had fun using it. found a few minor errors *eg some wrong spellings* but overall the phone is good. Durability and design wise, the phone is NOT SCRATCH proof, built with plastic, the camera's lens is too exposed for scratches. Overall, i think this one's a big no-no. the last depressing one is the WI-Fi. my dual band capability broke within 1 month. :( im too lazy to bring it to a service centre...so its a 5 out of 10 for BUILT. Functionality wise, its good. I can play 3d games *or games which require a lot of RAM*. This is good, but then...there are still instances wherein app-compatibility is fully tested. :( its an 8 out of 10 for functionality. The phone is good. but it wont be better. System update (KITKAT) takes too long. :/ by the time they release this one, i think i would already have a note3. :(

Hi guys, I just read most of the comments regarding to Lenovo S920 problems. Here I got in my list through experienced using this phone: 1.If you got a lagging problem, try to check your ram usage and also your internal memory. Make sure to clean up your memory frequently or use some app to auto clean. And also don't install any useless app that can be just a trash in your memory phone. Periodically reboot your phone to refresh the OS. If you want a go for breaking a warranty, root and expand your virtual ram. Capish'? 2.If you got problem when you try making a call and the screen won't turn off, it is because of the proximity sensor. The only way to solve this is to send back for a warranty. 3.Upgrading to 4.3. So far I didn't find any news for Lenovo S920 can be upgrade to 4.3. Unless you rooting your phone. If you heard about it, do share in here. I hope this can help you guys. It is a great phone with small budget you can spend.

I think you improperly unmounted ur SD CARD.. There are several solution on that problem 1. Turn off your phone then insert the SD CArd or 2. Insert Another SD Card (I think with different capacity) etc.. try it

I used this phone for about a month. I was not a smartphone buff, only used Blackberry Bold earlier for work-related stuffs- email, BBM, reading documents etc. Company paid for all that. My personal phone is an ancient monochrome Nokia. So this was basically my first exposure to personal smartphone and android. I found the transition to be rather smooth. It was difficult at first to understand how it works but after a few days I have figured out most of the important buttons/icons. The UI can be better but I have no major complaint. It responds very well and has minimal lag. Camera is mediocre but I am probably prejudice since I own 3 DSLRs. Overall it was satisfactory for its price. My biggest disappointment is the screen protection. I got it scratched after just a week. It was so so vulnerable. I probably should have gotten a protector film installed but come on, it got scratched over something so benign. I compared this with my wife's Note 3 and felt rather disappointed. So if you're getting this phone, put a screen protector.

The screen on the S920 blows the Xperia C away (S920 has a HD screen with great colors and excellent viewing angles, Xperia C has a qHD screen with weak colors and bad viewing angles). The sound on the S920 is excellent too, loud and clear, both for music/videos and for making calls. The S920 has active noise reduction by a second microphone too (which works fine in practice), the Xperia C doesn't. I don't know which has the best camera.

The 1.5 GB that is free is not the memory in which the OS runs on. it's the memory you can use for your leisure. the OS memory is about less than 1.5GB. Choose the main memory of your phone as your sdcard Allsettings>Storage>SD storage. so then your phone will install the new apps on your SD card from now on. and Move the apps from your phone's memory to your SD card Allsettings>Apps>Downloaded>"tap on them and choose to Move to SDcard" And Uninstall any junk apps you won't use... Hope it helps.

Just bought this phone yesterday from OneGadget -RM699 (AP set). But the workers there are quite rude because they have so many customers. And then the two years warranty just cover for motherboard only, the rest only three months. Even I wanted to purchase another battery (as back-up) they did not have, and I need to order from China. WTF. Quite impressive with the phone. Feel faster than my Galaxy Note 2 and it is unbelievable light. The rest are just similar to my Galaxy Note 2 (make sure you close all unused applications since the RAM only 1GB). On this moment,cannot comment on the gaming performance since not yet installed any. The drawback of this phone, the camera and video quality just average or below, Youtube very lag (not because of connection), even I selected English language but there are still so many Chinese word in menu instead of English. I would say this phone worth every single cent for what you pay. If possible try to get the original set from authorized distributor.

I had a Note 1 and moved to Lenovo s920. I was kinda hesitant because well I had never owned a lenovo before. A friend of mine had the yoga 8 and it was very smooth in performance as I noticed so I thought let's give it a shot... This is phone is perhaps THE BEST BANG FOR YOUR BUCK. It has got a very smooth performance considering it's CPU (only "1.2Ghz" 4cores). The screen is just awesome! it's maybe not the sharpest but trust me it is more than sharp enough for reading and just about everything else. I really had a HARD time trying to notice a lower level of sharpness in s920's display compared to a note 3. in fact I like this one's display better because of the whiter "whites". Don't get me wrong, Note 3's display has the deepest black you can get + the richest colors ever! videos look fantastic on it! but for reading... umm, I would prefer a S920. Trust me, S920's display will NOT disappoint you... it's perhaps just as good as a "Nexus 7 2013"'s display even though it doesn't share the same screen resolution (it's smaller that's why I didn't notice the resolution difference). ************** CAMERA The Camera is just fantastic in bright conditions. I think it's sharper when recording videos compared to Note 1. In dark conditions though you will get a lot of noise in black areas... Note 1 was better in low light conditions (not that good anyway). Note 1 also had a smoother automatic transition of white balance and ISO levels. and the colors were quite accurate under the light from incandescent lamps. I would give the best score to Note 3 for accuracy of colors under incandescent lights. Anyway, the still shots are awesome with this camera, I like it's zoom better than note 1. The camera records videos in the 3gp format and not MP4. Idk why. but that's not an issue since every PC and almost every mobile device can easily play them. the format doesn't reduce the picture quality at all!. As it might take a little time for the camera to realize it's out of zoom when recording a video, you might want to keep your finger on the screen and tab zooming whenever it's out of zoom. for the money you pay, I think it's just a fantastic camera... . ************** DEFAULT APPS I do like Lenovo's original launcher compared to touchwiz of samdung oh sorry samsung. it's got LOTS of OPTIONS and makes you feel that installing another launcher would be pretty much useless. you can run a moving background and the phone will be just as smooth as before... . I also do like the file browser as it has options for searching the content without having to dig them through folders. The wifi hotspot works great without a hitch! I wish the icon existed in the settings though. The Lenovo battery saving options are pretty wicked! even though it has only a 2250mAh battery powering a 5.3" screen... you can easily get through a full day of moderate usage and still have 20 or 10% left... . If it's asleep, it just doesn't use any power. There's a widget to help you shut down the extra antennas such as wifi, buetooth & gps by one tap (it puts it in power saving mode). the settings is absolutely simple. and everything just works. I wish they had more options for developers though... . The MOBO market is not my cup of tea. but if you like downloading apps which are not proven by google play, that's the place to go. you can find adult apps there too. ************** PERFORMANCE Boy oh boy. This things rock N rolls. If you haven't installed an incompatible app on your phone and up to date , it is just Fantastic considering it's CPU model. I ran all the applications I could (more than 20) and didn't close them... and somehow I still had about 120mb of RAM Free. I don't know how Lenovo manages to do that... but that keeps you from getting the message "no more room on this page" which was a pretty common message on my note 1 when it was outta memory (RAM). This thing DOESN'T FREEZ! hehe. It will take a second or two more when switching bettween the apps when all the apps are running. But it WON'T freeze unless you have installed an incompatible app.... If the app freezes, never mind, just press the home button and watch everything else work flawlessly! you can keep the app button and slide the frozen app and run it again in to do your job. If you like your ram free, just install an app like memory clean which is less than 300KB and does what it's supposed to do. I don't like those apps that are supposed to clean your memory but take a lot memory to run on their own.... If you are a High-graphics-3D-games-junkie... you should think about a different phone with a better GPU my friend. I could run assphalt on and it ran well. but I had to make the resolution on "Low" to get the smoothest gaming experience. It will run all the 2D games just great. Temple run (it's 3D, I know), angry birds, cut the rope, Chess, candycrush & etc. I really hope this phone gets updated to 4.4 Kitkat as kitkat can utilize the RAM even much better than the older versions of android. ********************** DESIGN The design is quite nice and slim. Compared to a note 1, this phones looks like it was made in 2013 and note 1 was made back in 2005... (note 1 was made in 2011). I don't like samsung's design I guess. I think they should change it without worrying of getting sued by another company (like they were sued from apple). The phone is very nice in case of build quality, however the cover on the back might disappoint you once it doesn't completely fit with the phone... you can see a little space between the back cover and the phone when they've snapped together. It's not a big issue really. but my advice to you is to get a hard plastic case for this phone since the phone itself doesn't have a Gorilla glass and the back cover is not completely fit... . Oh Gorilla Glass! well, if you press the screen really hard, you will see the colors change on the screen but that doesn't kill the screen nor the digitizer at all!. Adding the fact that you'll put on a screen protector on it you shouldn't worry about scratches as well. The lack of a gorilla glass could perhaps have a positive side because this glass is more flexible and I guess it won't crack as easily as the gorilla glass will when "FALLING"... . but that's just my humble opinion... DON'T LET YOUR PHONE FALL! *************** VERDICT If you're not a high end games gamer and don't use a stylus on a phone (I personally didn't use my stylus on note 1... the screen was just too small, I think a stylus makes the most sense on a large screen tablet. I have tried a C-Pen on the S920 and it's much more sensitive and practical compared to the yoga 8. it's a shame how Yoga 8 is insensitive to pens.) and are budget conscious... I think this is perhaps the best option available. I have worked with the higher end phones from Lenovo... but they all seems a little laggy even when swiping the screen left and right... . and I think it's because the current kernel doesn't completely match the new mediatek chips... . I think they're going to fix it soon. but for now, I think you can get the smoothest experience on an s920. This Phone Will Not Disappoint You!

Thanks gopi.. i made some more comparisions and found that moto has 21 Mbps HSDPA and lenovo S920 has 7. Also Moto G has bluetooth4.0 and this has 3.0 and again moto g will keep me updated for sometime or may be life long depends wrt latest versions of android. I would have gone for this phone if screen was not this big. Big screen causes handling issues plus its think uses ogs so may be chances of breaking glass is high.

No lagging, memory storage is less even if you move apps to SD certain apps is getting installed in mobile internal memory. Sound quality is not that good ringer and headphones is that good. I would rate sound quality 4 out of 10. Performance is awesome sometimes installing additional apps like go launcher makes the performance slow. Total rating out of 10. First of all u must root your phone. There are few steps to be taken using certain apps that can be downloaded through play store. When i was moving the Default Write Disk setting to external storage, it seems like the built-in storage is not being use, so when the internal storage was full, the phone was giving the notification that "Storage space is running out", though the Built-in storage still have 1.03 available space (i don't know, but it seems like the internal storage of Lenovo S920 was split into Internal storage and Built-in Storage). I had uninstall many apps but the notification keep appear. Anybody know the solution for this problem?

People do say it has low memory but it has 8 GB, for more clerification you should call the technical dept of Lenovo who will guide u. Lenovo has divided memory in 2 segment where there is some reserve space for your app updation and rest you can use it Battery life good.

been using S920 for 1 month now. its a good phone so far.. not much forum support available yet, custom ROM also very rare - compared to HTC. drawback is on dual sim capability, must ALWAYS shut down the phone for at least an hour per day otherwise data connection will stopped until you power off, take out the battery, re-insert sim cards. voice phone call service is OK though. There's no specific support center for Lenovo mobile in Malaysia, when I called the service center in Kuala Lumpur, they also didn't know where the service center for Penang. Now already 3 times send it to service center for the same problem. Conclusion: Check Lenovo service center available in your location or not before you buy. For Malaysia, support for Lenovo mobile is really unprofessional. Durability of the device is low. Pro: This mobile is the cheapest in the market with high-end performance

For all minor queries like settings etc, lenovo asked me to visit their Service Centre and the service at the service centre is hopeless. For minor settings, they asked me to deposit the phone with them for 2 days which is not possible. hi there, i would suggest you go back to the store where you purchased it or to the nearest lenovo service center ASAP. i believe your unit is still covered by the warranty. I am having this phone for last 3 months and having an issue with the skype call. During skype call, the volume is too low even the volume notifier showing as maximum. But when I connect ear piece, I am getting normal sound. This issue is only for voip calls and for GSM calls the sound is perfect and no need of ear piece but for voip calls without ear piece it is very difficult to hear. Based that comparing, when you like gaming, reading, so that S920 is the right choice, i have it, now, the screen is more crystal clear than S820, even though S920 wasn't using gorilla protection,but i test both Handheld when it come for camera S920 with only 8 Mpx, is the winner in clarity, and S820 is more Compaq for everyday use because it screen size 4,7" is more adequate.. Brought S920 leather case is a must, because the screen isn't gorilla glass :)

i didnt face that problem. just i dont use youtube app. i go to youtube page via UC Browser. Same applied to facebook and twitter. Even, Ive uninstalled the preinstalled apps for youtube, twitter and facebook since UC Browser can redirect to those page.

Bought this phone, S920 4 days ago. Overall good for the price tag. As I'm in Malaysia, there are a lot of choices for casing and screen protector. My advice, please get casing for S920 because the body of this phone seems made of cheap materials to reduce the cost. Since bought, my phone is always in wifi connection as i didn't put the 3g sim card yet, only gsm sim used. What i did was first update the software followed by pre installed apps. Then I started downloading few apps and games. Apps that I've downloaded include keyboard with emoji, few emails apps and most important the text messaging app to replace the original since the original not rotating. Im happy with the battery performance, can stand about 6 hours non stop wifi connection, data downloading, apps installation, concurrent with watching video or play games or reading and replying emails and talking over the phone. And the best is, it didn't get hot and so far, never halted or glitched even I did run multiple apps at the background. The wifi connection also stable and never disconnected as I left the phone at home at this moment. Just, the usable internal storage quite low, so you have to install lower priority apps such as games in the SD card. Im satisfied for the overall performance of this phone at the price tag. Im also having Samsung Galaxy Note 3 and my plan later, once everything ready on this phone, I would like to compare their performance side by side. As Note 3 on paper double the S920 performance, is it really double the performance in reality with 2.5 times price tag

Help me guys! My stock apps such as messaging, dialer, phonebook missing after rooting using Framaroot. Both sim card aren't usable after root but luckily they are back after factory reset. However, my messaging, phonebook and dialer icons on the home turns to shortcuts directed browser or Google Play after factory reset. Currently using 3rd party apps (Go dialer, Go phonebook)... Messaging is a big problem, all 3rd party app in Google Play doesn't have the capability to choose which sim i wan't to use to send sms like the original stock messaging app. Does anybody have a solution? I prefer the flashing ROM method to be the last solution. Thanks.

There you could close any app that you dont need to run in the background. Thn check if it cools down. Otherwise return it since it is covered with the warranty for defects.

I got this phone for a month now. Here's my verdict: Display: impressive. I usually set the power option to extreme to save battery life. You don't need the display too bright while you're indoors. Screen is very responsive. Battery: i'm a heavy user. Wifi, call/text and online games. Lasts me about 12hrs so I always make sure to bring with me my portable charger/ usb cable Processor: no lags Speaker: quite a bit weak since i usually missed my calls when im outdoor.option is you'd have to choose a high-pitched ringtone so it will be more audible. Memory: 4g internal memory is enough to store your basic apps like voip, vlc player, games. I don't store everything on my phone. I don't need all 44 games all at the same time. I usually play with 3-4 apps then uninstall them once i got tired of them. Pic and videos goes straight to my google drive. Delete them once uploaded for security and privacy reasons if ever i lost my phone.music player is ok. Default headphones are poor. If you want quality sounds, you'd better find a good quality earphones. I use harman kardon for eargasmic experience =) Also comes with a lot of useful built in apps like power options, ram cleaner, battery callibrator etc . Design: the rear camera lens is protruding, it is advisable to get a hardcase for this to avoid scratches. I use nilkin which i bought online from sulit.com.ph Case is pure plastic. Not very durable that's why its a must to have a hardcase and screen protector. Not built for rough handling Camera: good quality rear camera. Good in low-light settings. Although it doesn't have a macro and aperture setting. I'd rather leave it to dslr cameras to do the professional looking shots. Front camera quality is really bad. Distorts your face at some angle. Not recommended for selfie shots. Hehe Sms typing: you need two hands to type because of the screen size. UI: can customize sms thread view to preferred background. Enter key will only appear after you shift keys. Dual sim: Highly recommended. Both sims are active so you can use them at the same time. Calling and sending text will give you an option which sim you will be using. Incoming calls and text will also tell you which sim they are trying to reach. It's super easy to manage if you have 2 separate sims for personal and business use. Overall, you get what you pay for when it comes with design. It's actually a great phone with impressive specs for a very modest price. Recommended for budget conscious and practical users. Why spend 700+US$ for a phone if you can get the same specs at half the price.

Yes. It has LED notifications for call logs and text but not with other applications(Whatsapp, LINE etc.). Hope this helps.

Bought this phone last week. What a great phone for the price. Battery life has been superb. Never dropped below 65% after a days reasonable use. No lags, no freezes and fast. For under 10000 Thai baht I think its got to be one of the best dual sim quad core around. forget Samsung grand which is around the same price. Lower spec, poor battery life and reportedly a number of other problems.

The experience using s920 is far better than Samsung grand duos.Just bought it last week.Pic quality is good @ 8 mega pix.As in ready software on par to other smartphone.performance and internet connectivity is superb.Link to WiFi camera also done very well. Via here when using Samsung nx2000 n panasonic CSC G6.Overall performance ,I will give 8/10..well done LENOVO.:-)

Awesome phone. Its been 2 weeks of purchase, got lean the feature of 4.2.1 and some of the best lenovo android customization stuff are perfectly manages the apps and user needs; battery standoff good. Some of the auto feature that you fail to do, this device will alert...which are some of best part. If you really need big screen with audible business need, this will work good. Only drawback: -Sim2 is not standby when sim1 receive call -Bluetooth cannot pair with Car.. Lenovo need updated the firmpack -Slim phone, but need more grip to pickup -Casing and screen protector are only available in china market.. So!!!! you know what you are missing -Support is only for India and China.. again there is no much info on the lenovo official site for referring about smartphone..

Guys s920 is an amazing phone for the price, the best part is the battery management software which Lenovo has provided on the phone....to good, this puts samsung phones to shame in battery life, with good use of internet, dual sim, wifi, data package the phone lasts for 2days, i was using samsung galaxy grand duos which use to run out of battery in about 15hrs with the same kind of usage and mind u guys the grand does not have an HD Screen similar to Lenovo S920.... the only gripe is the S920 internal memory of 4GB is not at all sufficient though some apps cane be transferred to your external sd.

I use this phone for a month already there is no problem in reception, wifi is strong, both sim are working very good(my second sim is for roaming) at first am not that confident in buying a 4gb(internal memory) phone but I need a dual sim and I found this in jarir saudi riyadh, and sales man told me its 1gb ram, quadcore, and he show me how vibrant the screen is, so am attracted to this phone and bought it... am only familiar with lenovo in making good laptops since my flatmate is using one and its very good... now am using S920 lenovo phone and am very satisfied, no lag , fast and brilliant and very responsive screen... hope this review helps...
