Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70 - User Reviews

  • I have tgis tablet for some time now (1,5 year) it is upgraded to latest android it supports and it works great. I don't have any lag nor does it freeze. After update battery lasts same. i an perfectly happy with this tablet.

  • It was on 4.4.2 when it happened, and still it isn't fixed.

  • Upgrading android os just for snapdragon and other chipset, not for MTK.

  • This type of tab is not for IM or call, its for professional or designer to draw or design something. If you download whatsap or other im,video call etc, better using other smartphone.

  • Lenovo was stable in 4.4.2 android version,if you have 5.0.1 or higher, better you downgrade it.Its will resolve all problem.

  • I have had this tablet since september 2017. For a year and (about) a half it has worked well, considering that I have played many games and downloaded countless movies. A few lags, app crashes for the amount of months I have had this tablet are acceptable. But as we entered 2019 the tab started to not function well. To the point that it went on reboot mode.

  • How do you unfreeze the screen? What does a good battery look like fully charged? Nonie

  • Guys how to correct dolby. Its crashing Everytime

  • I have this tablet Sound is good There's only one mistake: camera at snapchat👻📱

  • You really get what you pay for with this tablet. Was just Ok when it first came out in 2015. In 2018, the CPU just can't handle even standard web browsing without constant system wide pauses (whole tablet often momentarily freezes while surfing). Very laggy and sluggish on many sites. Typing / keyboard input is often laggy. Even after a wipe and reset back to factory settings (No improvement) Bluetooth no longer works correctly after Marshmallow update.

  • Guys help me to know how I will make a normal phone call with my tap

  • Hey guys.. I need some help on my Tablet, its a Lenovo 2 A10... When I want to set a media WhatsApp status it never shows my Gallery Images or Videos.. It only gives me the option to take a pic or Record a video only.. Its boring.. Anyone with a solution?

  • but it forces a clean wipe which is a tough proposition. I am holding off on the update until I can find the time to backup all data !

  • I just got my Marshmallow update too!!!so far so good and there doesn't seem to be any bugs with this update.i heard that Lenovo will be pushing out Nougat updates to all of their Android devices and the fact that they're pushing out the Marshmallow update for this almost three year old device makes me hopeful(hopefully!!) that they'll be able to push out the Android Nougat update for this device!

  • OTA upgrade is iffy and can mess up sometimes, can make the tab sluggish you can see a minor delay when loading apps but otherwise fab. I find Lenovo OTA are problematic but thats only what I have read on the Lenovo forums.

  • any changes after 6.0 update any new things , any bugs ? and thank you

  • My tablet just got Android 6 OTA (greece)

  • Great tablet: excellent battery life; excellent display brightness (though its too bright in dark conditions, even on the lowest brightness level so much so that I had to install a dimming application. First world problem); never had a problem with memory capacity though it does take an SD card if need be. Cons: speakers are not very strong, if you're not in a completely quiet room you may have trouble hearing the output. One important note about the OS version: mine came with 5.0 out of the box, and very recently it got upgraded to 6.0.

  • Aside from the Lenovo tablet yoga series 1 and 2, this is an amazing tablet. sound is perfectly fine, battery life is 8 hours of gaming and movies, comic reading. LOVE THIS TABLET

  • Poor sound, keeps locking up. Not recommended.

  • No . No hdmi input . use chrome cast.

  • Yes ,with chromecast ,but you will need wi fi to do it.

  • Yes no HDMi .Chrome cast works well . Only trouble is I cannot play back my videos on TV with chrome cast while off line . With hdmi cable in previous tablet I could .So while out in foreign restaurant using their with fi to download ,when I get back to hotel room( no wi fi ) I cannot play back off line through large TV screen using chrome caste .( could when I had hdmi lead between old tablet and TV .

  • Lenovo is a good brand, I would obviously recommend one but only to people who are working with big files and who do lots and lots of downloads because of its battery life, but it doesn't support calls even if you download dialler but it can only do whtssp calls which is very odd because everything is there(dialler and a speaker) but if you have another phone on the side you can go for Lenovo Tab I must say

  • Yes it does support OTG, But just FAT32 Filesystems. exFAT and NTFS are not supported.

  • This an absolutely great device to buy , would definitely recommend , the only thing that struggles is the camera , the rest is really good , it's light , it's got a huge battery life , games and tasks are smooth , screen is crisp and the colours look good , and feels comfortable in the hand aswell , the blue colour looks really good in real life

  • I'm wondering does this tablet support OTG because I'm gonna buy one of these on summer vacation.

  • ..........disregard i was watching wrong model

  • This tablet was released less than two years ago. Lenovo stopped OS upgrades a year ago. It originally shipped with Android 4.4 when Android 6 was already out, and upgraded to 5 a half year later. Now Android is up to 7, but this tablet still on 5. Lenovo has no interest in any further software updates. So, this not-very-old device is already obsolete and full of security holes. I'll never buy another Lenovo device again. The hardware is nice. Good screen, long battery life, games always play smoothly. The speakers are way too quiet.

  • too expensive now it cost only 300 qatar Rial

  • I've been researching this, and while Lenovo's upgrade matrix is spotty at best, I will be extremely surprised if it is ever upgraded from 5.0.

  • It runs 5.0.1 and will likely not get another upgrade. I doubt it has any problems that should keep you from upgrading to Android 5 (huge update, and many developers don't develop for pre 5.0 anymore).

  • Guys,What is the latest android for this tablet? And what are the bugs of latest version? Im still running on kitkat but its kinda getting boring and wanna upgrade

  • Will this be getting an android 6.0 or 7.0 update?

  • How?

  • I got android 6.0.1 now

  • I just bought two of these expecting it to be able to do regular cellular phone calls as it holds a SIM card, which they apparently can not! ItÂ’s ridiculous! No where in the Lenovo documentation does it say that you can not use a dialer/make regualar phone calls with this tablet. I have to come here to find out that the SIM card is data only, how lame is that? Not good enough Lenovo.... Avoid.

  • WhatsApp has worked just fine with Tab 2 A10-70L (using mobile data). Of course had to download the .apk directly from their site.

  • Are there still problems with your tabs?

  • I can't make or recieve calls

  • Hi I've just tried installing the update and it has done the same as yours :/

  • There was an update a few odd days ago but when I update it, it restarts and in the middle of installing it stops and goes into the Android repair screen. Is this happening to anyone else? Can someone help me because Lenovo can't and its highly annoying.

  • This tab does not support voice calls or USSD codes. You can call on skype

  • i have a problem when speaking on skype i see clear picture of my friends but my picture is very red they tell me. How can i fix it please advice

  • this is usually a static electricity problem. Without the tablet being plugged into the mains, press and hold the power button for more than 20 seconds. Even if the lenovo log gets on screen, keep pressing the power button, to discharge the circuits of static electricity.

  • keep the tablet off charger for a few days, it might be that it's on but just the display wont turn on

  • how can i get this ? will u please tell me? i also want to buy it

  • my tab got drained but when i try to charge it, it won't open help me please

  • this is great Tablet . Just Great

  • I read that upgrading from Kitkat to higher versions of android are causing issues, then can't we block the update first. ?

  • No

  • Do you know if this tablet can present Power Point slides? i.e. can you use PowerPoint viewer?

  • WhatsApp only works with cellphones. Nice tablet, has both American and Russian gps capability. Only weak thing I have noticed is low volume audio, a known issue. Good video resolution, came with Android 5.01.

  • Hello friend, I don't know why u r unable to use what's app in this tab, where as I installed and successfully using . So once checkout he settings.good product from Lenovo.

  • You can not install or use what's up on tablets u can install Viber with yr cell Nbr.

  • I bought this tab today. I couldn't install whatsapp. What is the reason for it ? Please reply on this.

  • Yes. Even I face the very same problem. If anyone can, pls help us

  • On the left side of your tab screan there are options, select the top one then it will be fine.

  • Good display size and battery life but when it comes with the performance very slow response even when I'm writing this opinion there is daley for text to show up. I rate it 4/10 not my favorite device .

  • there have been a lot of question about whether this tab supports voice calling, sometimes I think what people mean to ask is whether it supports USSD codes, this is very important to me as I would not always want to take out the sim to subscribe via ussd. Any help pls ? This might decide whether I'll buy this tab.

  • How good is playing vainglory on these? That's all i wanna know!!!

  • Hi everyone, I bought this tablet, but its front camera option disappeared somedays ago!! does anyone face the same problem? what is the best solution? Thank you :)

  • can any body help me with Lenovo Tab 2 A10-70L if it support making voice calls ?

  • do this tablet play x265 codec in hw mode in player ?

  • Fantastic tablet!! I am a facts/data obsessive person when choosing anything I buy! I read tons of professional and buyers reviews, compared specs, searched availability, prices and longevity such as is this tablet durable, fast, able to add we cards and technology would not be out dated soon. After comparing everything I had come up with, across the board this tablet was the one to buy, absolutely! I did not spend any additional money for extended warranties as Lenovo is a respected company with long history in technology and standing behind their products. I have not felt a ANY regret nor any less than wonderful feelings about this fantastic tablet! It's fast, reliable, beautiful screen, fully of abilities and a wonderful size!!

  • Netflix app fails to connect to the service after waking up. Sometimes toggling WiFI fixes the problem until the next time tablet wakes up from sleep. Sometimes bluetooth just stops working and reset is the only remedy. I do not recommend this tablet to anyone.

  • Chips of my tablet have been falling out, and I have never dropped or harmed my tablet? It has just updated and changed everything I had ever done on the tablet, including changing the themes and deleting some apps, seriously, we should be able to have a choice whether we want to have everything we even knew about the tablet changed! Also video calling is so tinny and people can not make out what you are saying. 5.5/10 from me.

  • Never use 3rd party equalizers unless you want your Dolby atoms to stop responding. Even do not use uc music .

  • Yes it supports sim card but no voice calling

  • Wireless dropping problem,.,try to configure your wireless router,.

  • This is a great tablet, until you try to play videos. It constantly drops frames on lollipop. I updated mine to lollipop before trying any video playback, but I've read that kitkat was fine. There's no plan to update to Marshmallow.

  • Wifi is dropping...Nedd help..please

  • I am facing the same problem, There is no dialing pad

  • Yesterday (17.07.2016) i bought this tab from Doha, Qatar @ 799 Qatar Rial working excellent.

  • Will this tablet recognize a mini usb to ethernet adaptor?

  • I want to know.how to make call through Sim card?? I bought new tab..I am facing this problem

  • Every chipset has GPU bro

  • Yes you can use any Android app

  • Witch tablet do you think is better, this Lenovo or Asus ZenPad 8 s?

  • There is Micro sim option right, so you can access whatsapp or other social network apps.

  • Can we download and use all android apps like fb whatsapp and games... Kindly reply as am buying this for my kids

  • Tks!

  • No "normal" calling option!Only 4G data.

  • The shopkeeper told me it's data only. you could still use voice application for voice chat such as viber, skype, Line etc, however no GSM calls

  • My wifi is dropping anyone can give advice,.,.,.,.thanks

  • Can anyone who is using A10-70L (4G LTE), please advise does it support 3G voice call since there is a micro SIM slot OR just for SIM card 4G (Data only) THANKS!

  • only bad is voice calling.... other wise superrrrrrrr

  • can this tab take a xl app

  • Battery timing

  • does lenovo Tab 2 A10 70L version use a SIM card

  • skype is working???

  • i bought it from US @135$ and it is very good. Some of the apps wont be suitable to it but we can search in google for getting those apps too in a different format

  • I am thinking to buying this tablet but i m confused that it has whatsapp or no.Please help me....

  • I just bought the tab,i installed hangouts dialer and it works well.powerful tab too, with 2gb ram

  • The lenovo a10-70 is a good quality tablet at a cheaper price great graphics and sound easy to use had a few different tablets and this tablet is the best for price fast easy .battery lasts for more than 11 hrs when been used for HDMI movies hi graphics games and on the internet so on average use the battery should last several days .well that's my experience of this tablet it was a good buy I'm pleased with its speed looks and features

  • This is great tablet for an inexpensive price.. I have used many and this is basic and functional. To the others and dialer issues . Tablets are not phones and are not intended to be. But if you insist load up Skype or Line or one of the others and you get your dialer and the ability to make calls provided you have an internet connection. One of the things I like about this one is you really don't have to register your life away to make it functional. You can't say that about Samsung or Apple and others. One thing I do not like is some awkward implementation of Android 5 and the way it closes open programs. You must close one at a time no c!one all yet.

  • this tab will get marshmallow ?

  • I am thinking of buying this tablet, but my worry is everyone seems to say the is no dialer, what if i download the dialer from the google app, wont it work? Help i dont want to waist my money

  • I could not find dialer for out going calls. Is it possible to make any such option

  • There is no hdmi output port, but you can cast the screen via Roku, etc.

  • Can this tablet be connected to a large TV screen.

  • I couldn't find any dialer!!!!

  • Check Settings - Apps & see if you can disable Dolby. If the option is greyed out, too bad. Read here for Lollipop update - If you pre-download the OTA files (...151222...), update using Vol+ & Power button (Vol+ to scroll, Vol- to confirm) & factory reset upon first boot, everything should works great

  • Can you disable the Dolby Atmos audio? It doesn't work well with many videos. Has that noisy background buzz when it's supposed to be quiet. Also, any improvements on the Lollipop upgrade front?

  • Does lenovo tab 2 a10-70 have a dialer pad or allow you to make any calls?

  • I tried. Doesn't work.

  • Hi Just touch camera icon on screen, for secondary(front camera) on opened screen change to secondary camera icon

  • I have a question! Tis tablet is compatibile mhl? Please help me with an answer, i need to know of i can conect the tablet to tv by hdmi cable!

  • good battery, ok camera, fast tablet, lollipop is running great on this thing! no lag no freeze, screen is great, very good deal for the price!

  • Restart it!

  • How to operate primary rear camera in lenovo tab2 a10 70???????

  • After update to lollipop do factory reset. I did that and don't have any problems.

  • Have those problems been resolved with the upgrading to Lolipop? I want to buy it but I don't want to use Kitkat since the UI is shitty I'd rather have the Lolipop interface.

  • Just bought mine today,it has charged for more than 8hours.is it normal?

  • Hi to all. Recently acquired the same tablet. I would like to I know exactly the type of card memory that can be put to, because I want to expand to 64gb. Except that it is micro sd, what other features must have? Thanks in advance.

  • anyone tried to put 128gb xc sd card?

  • Of course it's not true. Get a mini USB to USB adapter from eBay and plug a USB stick in. Works fine for me.

  • I have this tablet, and I bought a generic USB OTG cable, and managed to connect a hard drive and USB stick to it with no problem. The only thing, you need to have your hard drive or USB stick formatted in FAT32. It won't do squat if it is NTFS.

  • You need a USB Host OTG cable to recognize external hard drives and other devices.. Not sure if the Tab will recognize it though

  • How do you put a sim card in this device

  • @ Al. I have just helped a friend with his unit and had no problem with an adapter cable (micro USB to full USB) and a 16Gb memory stick on end both transfer and/or watch files from. As to powering up at same time I was in no position to try that bu the tab I was on had over 75% batter left anyway. Played both an MP4 & an MKV file off the stick and the built in storage

  • In The Name Of God Hello ، everybody . Dear Babloo ، 4G/3G(Data only) means you can't speak ( telephone conversation ) by this device . Only you can send and recieve Data ( connecting the internet and sending and recieving SMS and MMS ...) . I like this tablet very much and I want to buy it very soon

  • 4G/3G(Data only). What does this mean sir? I am thinking to buy from city centre, it costs AEd 1099/-. Hope it is very good.

  • Excellent tablet for multi tasks use. Useful for reading. Nice colors with HD screen quality. Speedy processed. Worthing quality¡¡

  • Great tab, got it on Christmas full upgrated with no problem. Can anybody instruct me how to mirror the screen to a sony bravia TV?

  • i am thinking to have it, so will it be right decission to purchess it?????

  • I have recently bought this tablet and wanted to connect an external hard drive to it via the micro-USB port. I bought a Y-cable to supply power to the drive while connected to the tablet, as demonstrated for Android based tablets in internet posts, but the tablet failed to detect the drive. I have just contacted Lenovo technical support about this, and have received the answer that the micro-USB port is for charging the unit only and has no data capability. I'm astounded at this! It means that files can only be entered into the machine via wi-fi or via a memory card into the micro-SD port. Is this correct?

  • If its voice calling tab or not?

  • I have this tablet for almost 2 weeks and I really loved it,,,I used it during our meeting and turn it off after, I remember something so I need to turn it on,, but it didn't turn on, and I smell somethings burning inside. So I change it to Samsung tab a 9.7,,,but I missed that tablet better specs than the one I have now. What do you think what happened? Do I need two give Lenovo second chance?

  • Got this tablet back in July 2015. It's ok for media consumption (videos, music). It can be slow and sluggish when switching apps or when running certain apps. It even seems to have problems with stock google apps like Chrome or Gmail. The tablet tended to freeze when looking at simple exel spreadsheets in email attachments. If I browse for a while using the chrome browser, then hit the home button the tablet will sometimes need 3-5 seconds to re-load the launcher. I've seen tablets with "less" hardware run better than this beast. The tablet will shut off wifi in sleep mode, even if you select the settings option for it not to do so. Thus, you need an app from google play that will lock wifi and keep it on if you want to get text or email notifications while it's in sleep mode. Also of note is the fact that Lenovo has a history of not caring too much about the products that they sell. My own experience makes me feel like as long as you've bought their product and they've got your money then they're pretty much done with you.

  • good screen, longlasting battery, otg support, lolipop no problem dual band wifi ( little bit weak compare with my phone) i got it half year ago and there is no major issue. since i have these tablet my laptop lay somewhere in drower 3-4 hours daily usage great tablet over all

  • What are the specifications for the sd card ?, i mean SDSC, SDHC or SDXC ?, UHS-I, UHS-II, or SDIO, thanks

  • Lenovo has fixed there updating problem on tab 2 a10 right?

  • Can you get whatsapp?..

  • Why not?..

  • I upgraded to lollipop no problem. Great.

  • Ok. About Lenovo TAB 2 A10-70. - No Lollipop upgrade from KitKat offered (30.Dec.2015.). - No multiple user accounts (option not visible/disabled) - No apps folder/view. No apps search. No close all apps option. - No Miracast support. No hardware display port.. - 3D performance so so .. Asphalt not playable. - Goood screen. Good battery.

  • I got mine for Christmas. Am very happy with it but have seen bad reports from people who upgrade to lollypop5. Anyone know what is going on? I am afraid to upgrade after what I have seen.

  • This is better use than iPad or iOS

  • Where can i find this tablet Im in the USA and so far no luck LEVONO TAB2 10-70L

  • hey, i got hands on this one for my 9yo boy... it is sumthin sumthin...

  • Nope you can can only message

  • Yes due to high resolution of display it is crystal clear for texts and reading purpose

  • hi, with how much can I get this tablet in kenya.. it has great reviews

  • If its voice calling tab or not?

  • To those who had it; is it good in reading documents, pdf, word .......etc

  • Feels a bit creaky and plastic, but... - Really nice and sharp screen (higher resolution than other tablett with comparable Price) - Quite native android (lollipop avilable), almost (?) free from bloatware (eg. No pre-installed Facebook app) - 2Gb RAM, most comparable tabs have 1-1.5 Gb So, apart from the "low end" feeling, it's a really nice tab!! :-) I doubt there is much better in rhe same price range...

  • excellent image quality and speed on programs

  • I am very happy with it. Screen is crisp, battery life is very good, memory expansion is handy. Best thing is very affordable. (^¤^)

  • I am very happy with it.

  • This has lollipop right now

  • Can this tablet handle games? I noticed it doesn't have a GPU in its specs yet the smaller Lenovo Tab 2 A8 has a GPU but not this one?

  • when will it be released in Indonesia?

  • I've just bought a Lenovo Tab2 A10 70 with cellular UK model. However I'm worried about the update from KitKat 4.4.4 to Lollipop and the problems it causes to the tablets wifi, dolby sound, battery endurance, etc. Is there anyone who hasn't had these problems after the update from KitKat to Lollipop. Lenovo appear not care or resolve the matter. I will return my tablet to the retailer if I experience any problems after the update to Lollipop takes place. I understand that the update cannot be prevented.

  • I've had this tablet for a month and a bit now, and it's soooo good. The battery lasts for ages, the screen is amazing, the speaker is crystal clear, the mightnight blue back just looks awesome as hell. The only complaint I have is the internal volume is a bit low, but I can live with it. I paid £150 and IT WAS WORTH IT I LOVE IT BUY IT BABES

  • Nice.

  • does it support OTG ?

  • Well, there are two varieties of the tablet, L and F. F has only Wifi, L has also sim card slot. and it can do LTE.

  • Does it support games from supercell like clash of clans? It says it doesn't have Java and u thought those games need Java??

  • Awesome tablet. 2k resolution is brilliant and crisp. I have not yet seen any lag so far. Initially I thought MTK chip-set would not be that good but I bought this after reading review and expert comments and I am not disappointed. Upgraded to lollipop straightaway which was really good and performance not degraded.Cameras are OK but for tablet not a big let down. Speakers are awesome. Loud and clear. Some good additions from Lenovo in terms of apps which you can uninstall. 2gb ram more than enough and Micro sd card option is very handy. Played many games with no problem. Wifi supports 5Ghz ac whcih is very good. All in all winner for the price tag under $200.

  • Does this tab support s HDMI and which GPU does it have?

  • It is really good tab. My friend bring me one from US to Serbia. I'm using it almost two months and it's really great job Lenovo done with this chipset. I'm very satisfied with all aspects of this tablet. Couldn't choose better for $200. Actually it can be compared with a more expensive piece of hardware and it still would be great.

  • Yes this tab support OTG cable and in US this tab price is $198.

  • for that money i must say very good tablet!

  • It's good

  • No

  • Intel

  • Ok, just got the Tab 2 A10-70F version (only WiFi, there is a A10-70L version that has LTE). Quite good over all. Very responsive and fluid, good battery life. Some corrections to specifications: Resolution is 1920x1200, CPU is at 1.7 GHz. Android version is 4.4.4. It has FM radio too. It comes with little bloatware, it can be removed or ignored with ease. Just the Lenovo launcher is very annoying, installed Nova launcher and solved. AnTuTu v.5.7.1 Benchmark-> 31886 HTML5 Test-> Total: 8765

  • I have lenovo tab A10_70 i can make call pls how can I call with it ?

  • Hi everyone, does this tab come with OTG? Also what's the price range in dollars?

  • When will it release in uk

  • Is this good on watching movies? gaming? sounds/music?

  • Yes. Glonass & GPS dual mode can both supported

  • Yes. I have no problem w/ OTG. At least, I connected w/ keyboard and u-disk already. BTW: I found the CPU is 1.7GHz instead of 1.5GHz from CPUz.

  • Does it support Otg?

  • It do support SD card. I am using a 64GB SD card already

  • I am a proud owner of lenovo tab. A10-70 A3300. I didn't find any SD card in the slot as customary. Don't the product come with SD cards in the SD slot? I bought mine from an online store in Nigeria called KONGA Stores

  • I just bought it. the display is great, battery life is very good. speaker sounds good. it performs well with no slowdowns or stuttering. I was just told by lenovo phone tech support that it will absolutely be updated to Android 5.. that's a big selling point to me. The downside is the device isn't built well. theres a large seam between the front glass and back plastic, the tablet flexes and creaks when you pick it up and handle it. I don't think it will fall apart but the fit and finish isn't too good. it's slightly worse than the original nexus 7. The other downside is the lenovo lancher sucks!!! and there are a bunch of applications you can't uninstall. However, I really like it and the price is right. i'll probably keep it now that I know it's being updated to lollipop.
