I've been using it since early 2016, flashed an android 8 custom ROM a year ago, bought a new battery and no complaints whatsoever, works like a charm. Of course it has its own faults as any other terminal in the market, poor battery life and heats up a little bit but by far a great experience, pretty nice screen and camera for the price, it's proven to be a highly reliable smartphone.

Terrible video experience! Any light gaming or even Youtube videos will turn it very hot and drain the whole battery charge in few minutes. Usually it turns off before draining because of over temp.

This is very bad phone, and will be my LAST ever Lenovo product, not just phone. First, the touch is very bad and not precise, I had better typing on smaller, older phones, than on this phone, misstyped letters everywhere. There wasn't any update for the system, and the firmware is full with bugs. There are even graphic mistake on the Network bars, they are misaligned. There probably is some manufacturing mistake with the proximity sensor, I've had three devices with the same problem, if on call, the screen wont appear back after removed from the ear. The charging port started to wear after few months using, and now it will charge only on certain position and will stop charging if slightly moved. It's very laggy for a device with 2GB RAM. Definitely won't recommend, not only this particular phone, but every Lenovo product.

Just the warranty period one year passes and the problem begins with this. Touchscreen has become dysfunctional across the middle. External SD does not work. It does not keep up to the promise of the brand 'Lenovo' as I felt it before.

If u need smartphone for gaming dont buy this one, this smartphone's specification is looked high but very suck for gaming.. I tried to play some of my favorite moba games like heroes evolved, arena of valor, and mobile legend but this smartphone get very laggy and overheating even though i tried on another phone with lower specification its run very smoothly..

The hardware is okay for its price. Yes, overheating, at times, depending on usage. Also, the battery. And H O R R I B L E software. I had to do lots and lots of adjustments on this thing. Piece of advice, if you're a Samsung user (KitKat OS or higher) and planning to grab this one, you will have a hard time getting used to this.

It's good phone for its price, I'm using it for 1 year and no problem. For me one thing that could be better is link speed between phone and router, no matter what type or brand router is, max link speed is 72 Mbit/s, and on that link speed real max download is about 50Mbit/s in ideal condition.

this is my first Android phone. battery life is great, 5 hours on 2G and more than 8 hours on WiFi (screen time). sometimes it gets warm and that's when the battery takes a hit but the easy fix is to reboot phone, actually I've set the schedule to self turnoff at night and power on in the morning before I wake up and the problem was solved, never had heating issues anymore. the phone is fast and never encountered and slow down, except for some app that gets stuck or crashes once in a while but I think that happens on any phone. the photos are reasonably good for this price segment, main camera is ok but I wish it was sharper, selfie camera is surprisingly good and sharp . the standby time is great, battery losing only 1% every 2 - 3 hours. the speakers in this phone are great, the sound is clear and loud and there's plenty of bass too, the sound is much louder compared to my old Nokia 5800 . overall a great phone. I'm really happy with it. no complains, happy user here :)

I have the device a week ago and i can say that there's NO nothing wrong,everything is working perfectly!My vibe K5 is equiped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 616 Octa-Core at 1.5GhZ and Adreno 405.In stock condition i have about 1.2gb of free RAM,after Rooting it and delete some s*it i have about 1.4-1.5gb of free RAM and this is pretty amazing for a device with installed total of 2gb of RAM and running under Android 5.1.AnTuTu in stock conditions is about 29.530pts and after my mod is about 33.740pts!!!This device perform faster and smoother than my old Xperia Z1!Sound is awesome,Battery wife is supperb,Camera is excellent,the metal body is pretty cool and well made!!!Overall its a cheap super machine,and i can only say that is too cheap to be true but it is.If anyone is asking me is it worth the money,i'm sayng it:BUY IT,GO FOR IT!!!Thanx Lenovo for this AWESOME Device and keep it up with the good work!!!

Worst mobile I have ever had. in 4 month I have faced many problem first time I have given mobile to service centre for mic problem and they told they have changed the support system now after I bought from service centre vibration of mobile is not working they kept for 15 days they don't even call if the mobile is ready now again I have to give for 15 days if I will take at service centre.

I have been using this phone since July 2016 and I haven't experience all the claims that are being posted against this phone, I play 3D MOBA and RPG games on this phone without heating issue with battery lasting up to 6hrs, normal use keeps the battery more than 12hrs and on standby I have the phone lasting more than 24hrs, only downside is Lenovo still has not given any Marshmallow updates

I have been using this phone since July 2016 and I haven't experience all the claims that are being posted against this phone, I play 3D MOBA and RPG games on this phone without heating issue with battery lasting up to 6hrs, normal use keeps the battery more than 12hrs and on standby I have the phone lasting more than 24hrs, only downside is Lenovo still has not given any Marshmallow updates

The K5 vibe non plus version still has a Snapdragon 615(maybe even 616 underclocked chip). The main board is m8916, but the chip with specs and speed stampled on the board is MSM8939 Snabdragon 615. At least this is my opinion after reading forums, after I tested mine with many hardware info aps like CPU Z and CPU X>m etc. The snapdragon is 615, so this could be making it equal to a lus which has board 8939 with snag 615, and non plus is board 8916 with snap 615. Another app detected my non plus as board M8916, chip qualcom MSM8939 and Snapdragon 615, so even though the HW benchmarks are lower than K5 Plus, being with higher resolution display, you may even have better performance with the same Hardware on the lower 1280x720 resolution, which is still perfectly enough for 5 inch

I have this phone for 4 months now. If you're looking for great sound quality, decent battery and good multimedia capabilities, this phone is for you. If you're looking for great camera and smooth gaming experience, don't buy this phone. Yes, this phone has 13 megapixel camera, but it's terrible nonetheless, except in perfect (daylight) conditions. Video recording is also awful as it lacs continuing focus. This phone comes with the Snapdragon SoC and 2 gigs of RAM, that means it will run most of games smoothly, or with just a little bit of lag. I'm playing Galaxy on Fire HD with no problems so far. Now, if you're a serious gamer you won't be too happy with this phone's performance, games like NOVA 3 will lag very much. Some people mentioned heating issues, I had the same problem, but not anymore since last update. One of the biggest setbacks with this phone is the fact that it comes with Lollipop out of box; luckily, Lenovo recently announced Marshmallow uodate in India. I hope the update will roll globaly, if not, there are already some custom ROMs on XDA developers forum, so if you don't give a duck abut warranty, pay em a visit, it's a really great and helpful community. Yes, VOLTE wasnt supported earlier but Lenovo's last update has got VOLTE which has launched 20-25days ago. One thing that annoys me about this update is it gives notification and never go off about the VOLTE. No issues Good battery back-up , better camera, Flawless Sound with Dolby Atmos, Lag free, HD Gaming is smooth though. No heating as well, good look in this price range. Low Storage. Camera is not upto mark even though it's 13mp REAR. Front camera is Superb. Google (Nova) launcher which gives ease to use and good experience as well. Worth of buying. Best mobile in 6-7k range.

Very good phone. If you are not 3d mobile gamer this phone can do 99% of useful daily task. Even camera is more than great for a mobile phone on this price. I never had ANY Network problem on wifi or 3g/4g or switching between the 2 mode. Only sometimes dropping wifi if you are using a bad configured bridge wifi network while moving. On our enterprise network i had not problems at all even moving between 2 huge building and the park. I buy 1 vibe k5 for my self to use as a backup phone, when is to risk bring a 600$+ phone with me (climbing, sealing) , and then i had to buy another one after my wife steal me the first one. And I was very surprised of the build quality and the overall performances. The speaker sound is good. For me the "low" screen resolution is not a issue and the quality of the image is good enough, the only down point is the max brightness: not enough in full Sunshine day to comfortably read without find some shade.

When i purchased this phone it having problem to connect with wifi then some how i fixed it by asking my friend.Now its showing system got new update and when i download and install it phone reboots and start again and notify that faild to install update.I tryed to install 3 times but its not installing lots of problems.Even phone get heated for no reason not even doing anything.I will suggest to look at other brands before blindly trusting on lenovo.I bought this one cause my last lenovo phone was really awesome 1.5 years now but never faced any problem.Same with my lenovo laptop working great but for vibe k5 i will say this is not something lenovo makes.

You can still use Jio service on this phone, you have to keep your Jio data plan on. and for heating you have to download an update released by Lenovo to reduce heating. a minor heating still persist, due to aluminum case

i have been using this device for months now and I can say it is the best mid-range phone i bought, it can even compete with some devices from known brands with it's cheap price, i have no issues at all with this phone except battery-heating, battery lasts up to 10hrs more on FB, IG etc, 6hrs straight for gaming like Vainglory, HIT etc, more than 24hrs for plain usage on texts or calls, i haven't tried it on standby tho but i am sure it will last 2days atleast cameras, audio and other specially multitasking has no problem at all for me

For the price you cannot get better sound, install Equalizer+ Plus with E10 magicsound earphones and you will ear god's sound. Easy to root, just flash TWRP and SuperSu and it is done, leave the stock 5.1.1 Lollipop, the current mods are yet crap and dangerous. The camera produces very good photos and videos. One year ago (at mid 2015) its hardware was just for high end phones. Summarizing... very affordable and performant smartphone.

I bought this phone last month. So far, the only issue I see is that it heats fast on heavy games. (Which doesn't rrally matter coz I don't play always) the battery is good. 2 hrs charging to fully charge it. The camera is okay, altho it sucks at bright places, it has this lines like the picture was just drawn. The music is amazing, it takes long hrs on wifi.

to anyone that has issues with PlayStore downloads, options you can do: check system updates and update the phone if there are updates clear the data of the app uninstall then reinstall the app reset the phone not through the settings but through hard reset options in the boot menu you can also try reset partition in the boot menu if none of the options work, then the phone itself is the problem, try to have your 1yr warranty from the store where you bought it, so far I have not encountered any issue and all the 5 updates I had for the software had improvements except the battery

Does it also support GLONASS (Russian) satellites? In technical page, i couldn't see the "Glonass" expression, just A-GPS. But you say that it also has the magnetometer (compass) and gyroscope sensors although not stated in the specs. So i guess that it may also has Glonass support. I recently got the 49mb firmware update. Before that update this phone was working superbly. But after downloading the update, it took so much time for installing that update. After that phone restarted, I was shocked to see that apps which I had installed were missed. Suddenly the battery temperature raised to 43c. Then battery started to drain quickly. Again the phone restarted and now I can see all the apps which I had installed. But battery drain still not stopped. Anyone finding this issue ?

Bought this phone just few days ago, the design is okay it looks good. But feels not so great in hand, the grip is not so great and feels exactly 7000 rupees :D after i unbox it i switch it on and woahh instant heating so much as soon as the Lenovo logo came, it showed upgrade and I upgraded it with wifi around 49 mb and the installation was kind of long, waited in hope the heating will go away as it was installing. But no the heating continued even after upgrading, i inserted sim memory everything and customized it fully ready to use, installed apps and everything. Charged it full and suddenly next day the heating was gone, phone was warm but not heating anymore that made me happy..and i forgot to say the display is so cheaply made , it said 297dpi pixel something in specs which is more than my other asus laser phone, i thought it was better but no more pixel dont makes the display better, the display brand and quality itself is cheap so even if the display functions 297 pixel its not good ,,, and same with camera, more pixel doesn't make camera better, it depends on lens.. you understand right what am saying ? Camera is considerable in its price range , to make you clear lets say camera feels like 10 mp not 13,, gaming is good actually didn't lags... overall the phone is great actually in its price range , made for those people who pays 100 rupees and want 200 rupees product hahaha go for it,,,,, I actually bought this phone for my sister :)

I found few errors in technicals. Its about sensors. Phone dont have only proximity and accelerometer but also compass (magnetometer), gravity and gyroscope. This can be read from Cpu-Z and apps (e.g. inbuilt compass app)...

I use this phone for a month. First time, I have heat-issue, no battery saver, no task manager. But then I figure it out, if I play it overtime and in a hot situation there come heat-issue. About the battery, it is not drain so fast if you use the phone properly, mine can stand-by 12 hours while using the internet, chatting and tethering. The battery saver activation in settings (not like A7000 plus which is already in status bar). The task manager i just figured it out a few days ago, long tap in menu button (the left one) and there you get the task manager. But I still regret that the 2nd SIM Card slot not support 4G and you can only use it as 2G :( I think that is the only problem right now. Because, I heard lenovo will let k5 plus to update to Marshmallow (but no exact date).

To be honest, this was just supposed to be my temporary phone while they repair my Zenfone Max (battery bloated). I got the gray/black one and I have got to say, after a week of using this phone, I am completely smitten by it. Truth be told I feel like this is actually an upgrade over my Zenfone Max. Don't know why! Today i check cpu temp. Its highest was 39.5 and in cool state it was 35. i don't know whether it is normal or not. Previously i used windows. Actually the back mettal feel more temp than plastic on hand. Bettery draining is also high compared to its capacity.like 4% bettery dropped in 10 mins when i typing this mssg frm uc. But also I'm saying no experiences about android bettery draining. Second I'm facing notification issu. Only wapp giving constant notification about mssgs. Messenger is irregular. And all other apps including fb lite and truecaller hv no background works and notifications. I checked everything to work fb lite. Like app settings ,background limit and background data.But with vain. And third is a little manufacturing diffect.i ignore it. Pls give your suggestions dost...

Only solutions is to keep Viber app in task manager, because if we clear Viber from task manager (left button), automatically Viber disapeear in running apps, and that is the problem. Both apps are set to autostart in security, but only WhatsApp, after clearing task stays in running apps, and works normal.. This is my first Lenovo (Chinese) smartphone, so if any one have solution for push notifications problem, i have be grateful. :(

After 1 month use , I am recommending this phone only for a medium user a heavy user may face many problems. Many other phones available at this price. pros Good battery backup (6 hours continues use) Good camera(front) Nice build good looking cons heats up performance is average If you are a heavy user you can choose other . It is not good for gaming . It is very good for a medium user .

The phone s gud but not upto the maximum level.. at this price the phone s best.. only one pblm with this mble is the battery backup.. it lasts fr only 5 hrs with normal usage.. Other than that it is a gud one at this price.

The phone (Lenovo K5 Vibe) has got serious problem with network receiver. Both the SIM does not connect network simultaneously. The same 2 SIM s which work fine fine with my earlier Samsung, does not work together in K5.

There was an issue with this phone. Notification not working if app not running in background. Whatsapp working perfectly. But other app like hike,uc etc not working. For notification we must start the app. I check all setting but not found any solution. My one friend also has this issue.
