Bought this Lg G2 mini 3G version back then almost the end of 2015 from a discount sale to replace my older secondary phone which was Samsung S mini (GT-5570 ?) which i believe I bought back then at 2011 (I really like a compact for my secondary phone). I use this G2 mini for reading light novel using opera mini and I must say that I am satisfied.When the batery still new it can reach 11 hours SOT for my reading purpose. All the hardwares are still good except after 3 years,the batery not as good as new,but it still hold up SOT at least for 7 hours or so which is enough to serve as secondary phone which I mainly used just for reading/browsing. I keep this phone at android KITKAT,because alot lot of bad review for its LOLIPOP update. I did monthly clean chace also factory reset every year (usually before or after new year) and this G2 mini still perform well,never hang,frezze etc. But yes some times it does forced close apps,I assume it's because I opened to much tabs at one go.But if I do it moderatly I almost never encountered forced close apps. My conclusion : LG G2 mini is a good product,and I am one of it's satisfied costumer PS: if you Lg read this,there are still alot of people who love compact phone,please make a new version of Lg G2 mini.

I got this phone for four years I have no issue with this phone it performs very well no lag issue. But this kind of phone you need to clear cache data in file manager and storage settings so that it will perform better. I root this phone now I upgrade it to 8.1.0 Oreo. I used my memory card as my internal storage. The camera is good it beats all Oppo phones and Vivo. The display is IPS and its color accuracy and reproduction is still the same. Thanks to its IPS LCD. LG is the first smartphone to louch an IPS LCD and best known for making one of the best IPS LCD display. Search in google IPS vs Super Amoled or Amoled. You will find why IPS is much better than Amoled. When it comes to color accuracy sharpness and details IPS is the best.

Been using this for more than 3 years. Dropped it countless times. Has a few scratches at the back. Never did the screen get damaged but now space is no longer enough so considering the new lg phones.

I have had this phone for more than 4 years. For its specs,price and everuthing,it has pulled its weigh for much longer than anticipated. As expected of an LG phone,it is pretty durable and can survive unscathed even a fall or a complete system crash. However,the more demanding the apps and software get,the more the phone lags in terms of response to commands. In its current state, there are only occassional crashes and lack of RAM space,as well as th very few storage,thanks to the software updates(they take up about 4,61 GB-half the phone's capacity). Was it not for the increasing minimum for certain fuctions,this phone could last for an extremely long period. It has never let me down as a piece of equipment.

Having this phone for nearly 3 years, the battery starts to loose its juice faster, but works fine with me. Some apps crash once in a while, but the rigidity of the piece impresses me the most. At one bikeride I dropped the phone twice while trying to take a pic of my mates, the second time it fell between the wheels and I rode over the phone (on asphalt). Put the battery back in, started up and continued with the photos. Gorilla glass is its main feature!

I have this phone for 3 years now ! It's really awesome for the avarage user. The battery keep for 2 days without problem (50% brightness). It's a little bit slow with the new heavy apps, but i didn't expect something else with this CPU. Greatest feature that i love on this phone, is the screen-body ratio. Camera (rear) takes great quality pictures and videos as well!

Have had this phone from 2014 till now.Spec is a bit of a let down, and it stops on Android 5.0.That being said, I loved the grip and Knock Code.I even think that Knock Code is better than Touch ID, because you cant fake Knock Code like how you can fake fingerprints, also that you can do it so quickly people wont notice how you do it unlike patterns or PIN/passcode.Screen to body ratio is great, screen size works quite well on me, although I think 4.6 or 4.5 would be better.And with that, the phone is a bit heavy in a way that it often dropped on my face when lying down.Battery not great, but definitely not exceptionally bad.Power button isnt durable.But overall durability is great, considering that I have dropped this phone harshly countless times while the battery were plucked off from the case.Also got this phone into dirty water, but still usable.I somehow hope LG will someday make this kind of mini series with better specs.Now that I'm using an iPhone 6, I still miss this phone and what it can do.

Absolutely in love with this phone. I have it for 2.5 years now and it's working perfectly fine. Battery is durable enough, sometimes 1GB of RAM is not acceptable but for that price it's a real deal.

you can update your phone using the lg tool kit. just istall it on pc and connect your phone then look for update of os. 5.0 lollipop is their last update.

I have it for about 18 months. I was looking to change it with something faster and with larger internal memory, but I am very surprised that for the same amount of money I would get a worse phone in 2016. I think I will keep it for a while. It sometimes lags (true) but after-all is a decent phone for the small price it has.

Just get a scissor and/or a pusher (the one used for manicures - just borrow from your mother :-P) then stick the pointy edge on the back of the sim card, and gently push it outside the sim latch. that should remove the sim. :) hope it helps. Thanks.

I have been using this phone for about 3 years (since May 2014), and I am really satisfied. The battery never drain fast, and I rarely have to use powerbank. I dropped it really often, to the extent that I dropped it 2 times a day, but it still works fine. It rarely lags, the primary camera is really good, but the secondary camera doesnt really works that well indoor. It works well when theres a bright light. The size is perfect, not too big, not too small, so its easy to type with this phone.

No regrets having this phone. The default sms app is amazing, customizable, and has better features compared to other phones. Can still beat most phones nowadays. Has better camera than Asus Zenfone 5, took pictures of a powerpoint present from the far end of the room, and is still readable.

I dropped it for more than 10times and still it works the same as the first time a had it. Working with 3G connection is no problem even if I'm inside a closed door room. I am using this phone for more than one year. Lollipop makes the phone laggy. I did a foctory reset after upgrade, but the response is still slow. The latest updates are not improving the performance. I just downgraded to 4.4 KitKat! You can do that with LG Flash Tool and v10j firmware. Cheers

After lollipop update there was some issues but I recommend you to do factory reset after lollipop update and will work fine as before. Battery was awesome in the beginning but after one and half year of use battery start draining little bit faster. But still not bad even in 2016

I'm using this phone for almost 2 years now and I can say that this is really amazing. The phone is really compact for its screen size. It doesn't have HD display but the colors really pops. It's camera is so good that it slayed my friend's 5C. The performance is quite snappy but i did encounter delays from time to time but overall this device is so snappy. The design is so cool too that my friends doesnt know where the button placements are. Also the battery is outstanding. Lastly, this phone is very tough, dropped it like 20 times without any case just with screen protector and it works just fine, no scratches on the screen just some dents on the side.

Yes, this phone is a hidden jewel and though it doesnt have HD display, its display really pops. The camera is so nice and fast. The performance is quite great, mine is so snappy btw.

I really like LG G2 mini. I have it for like 16 months and had everything i needed before it started lagging. Well, i must be of the small ram and the big apps that make it lag, but still i need speed and big apps. Anyway, the problem i got today was that while i was using it, is turned black. I thought that i turned off for some strange reason, but it didn't. After a while i realised that it was open, but there was no light in the screen. I could and still barely can see the apps and some white parts inside some apps. Does any1 has any idea about how to solve such a problem?

Feedback update after one and a half years. This July will be its 2nd year. Good phone overall. Now my problem only is the memory. It's down to 500mb and I keep clearing cache,storage clean up so i can catch up or maintain the 1gb. Did restore factory settings and put back my everyday used apps only. And it went back to low memory again. My personal opinion about this is that, there could be also a tie up or negotiation to mobile company to big apps company when it comes to updating those apps we use nowadays. You may require to update your app orelse it will not work. Once you updated, your phone will turn slow making you upgrade your phone the soonest. Anyway, i might get another LG phone after i finish contract this July :)

It's the best smartphone i ever had, from iphone 3s to samsung s duos2 and now my G2 Mini D618 is turning 2 years this May 2016 but still good as new. I updated to 5.02 but i use v20e rom (manually flash) from CIS, much more stable than v20d current release in Philippines. It's not the best performance (speed) phone, but it's still the best feature-packed smartphone you'll see in the philippine market up to now..

I bought this phone around a year and a half ago and in my opinion it's the best deal I've ever made, considering the small price. I've rooted my phone and it works better. I also use Greenify (root only I think), a really nice app that hibernates some apps saving battery. On a normal day, checking Facebook, using Chrome and other apps over Wi-Fi and also playing around 1h/day, at the end of the day I recharhe my phone during the whole night, while I sleep. The best part is that if I want I can make the battery last for 2 days maybe more by using the phone rarely. Before the root I can't remember exactly how was the battery, but as far as I remember it was pretty decent, around one day. So you shouldn't worry to much, the phone is great but try to close the Wi-Fi/Data Connection when you don't need them, get a task killer app and search more ways to get a better battery on the internet. In my opinion you should not do things you don't want. For example don't turn off sync or other functions just to save battery, at the end of the day it's about using your phone properly. You could get a power bank if your battery isn't getting any better.

Yeah.. This phone is awesome... I accidentally drop my phone 2 times but still there's no problem. Camera not so great but good quality than g4 beat without the manual mode. I owned this phone 1 year this month and im so happy to have this.

Just got upgraded in Indonesia. Now OS is Android 5.0.2, Build Number LRX22G, Kernel Version. 3.4.0+, Software Version V20d-ESA-XX. It brings a lot improvement over the previous version. Fast acquiring and stable GPS, notification issue in Skype solved, etc. I'm very happy with this upgrade. It's about 400 something Mb.

My G2 mini d620k just updated to lollipop 5.0.2. It restarts all the backgrounds apps. For example, if I open facebook then switch to other app for 2 seconds the previous app just starts over.

The same goes with the LG apps. If you don't really use de quick remote and such things, stop and block the apps. It takes time to find all that runs on the phone that you don't use, but once you do it and lock all the garbage, the phone runs smooth

To all those complaining about lollipop, if you stop all the apps from google that you don't use, the battery last longer than on kit kat. I have one and do that and I'm pretty happy with the update. So go to the app manager and force stop and block what you don't use.

That option does not reset the android version, once you update the only way to go back is reinstalling from scratch (rooting and all that)

Hi there! Just an FYI, The 5.0.2 has bad battery life but there were some added and removed features. Other than that, overall performance remains mroe or less the same as it was in Kitkat. So, in my opinion, kung gusto niyong better battery life stick with Kitkat.

Tried factory data reset thinking it would go back to kitkat. Even hard reset is not working. It just erases every data I had. It's still on LOLLIPOP! And I think BATTERY DRAINS EVEN FASTER than when I had it updated. This is so disappointing. (T.T)

before the Android L update, I not having any problems with regards to the battery. After the Android L update, it eats at the battery within 12-16 hrs. Maybe LG should release a new update that does not eat the battery.. All in all android L is fine. just.. that battery eating problem.

Updated to lollipop 5.0.2 via OTA. I think ram is better but battery drains faster. Completed the update but there is this 'Currently unable to download. Please try again later.' always showing on screen. Don't know what that is for. Is it for google apps? Also updated some apps. Some of the previously installed apps are not compatible. i updated my G2 mini yesterday to android L and it made my worst android experience.. updated my apps.. some went good.. some sucks..! need to update google play services but it just keeps downloading, redownloading, installing, reinstalling over and over again.. and error messages keeps on flashing.. "com.google.??? is not responding" keeps showing in my screen that i cant even navigate the phone unless i close the notification.. imagine closing the pop up before making an on screen selection..?!?! so annoying.. ended up with factory reset.. fuck this..! after reset, update apps again then, it went fine.. i downloaded all my apps again.. after that, the only problem i got again is when i activated google now, a pop up notification saying "you dont have internet connection" something like that, and it wont go away, so i restarted the phone.. damn! so many flaws.. they should have tested the update first before releasing..

You need to unroot your LG G2 mini in order to upgraded to 5.0.2,that is for sure. But just uninstalling is not enough, you need to flash it back to its original status.

google it. there are instruction how to update using a flasher. you can download the lollipop fw, about 1.1GB. that is what i did. mine is now 5.0.2. its an official fw so there is no issue. cheers!

Truly fantastic phone. Compact and still a nice 4.7 inch screen, the screen is good and sharp enough. Camera is great, in low light indoor situation you can change the camera brightness to 0.7 or 1.0 and then the results are good. LG UI is very customisable and full of features. Also the processor works fluid and fast without any lag, and multitasking works very good. Call quality is very good, loud and clear. Also phone speaker is good enough. The battery is VERY long lasting! Never seen that in a smartphone. I get around 9 to 9.5 hours of on-screen time including intensive browsing, youtube, whatsapp and camera and a bit of gaming. I get around 48 hours with one charge. It never gets hot or not even warm, no matter what game you play it stays cool. I payed 155 euro for this phone in the store here in The Netherlands. 100% satisfied customer. Thanks LG!

i have bought this in January 31, 2015 for 9000 pesos at sm. my impressions with g2 mini was: 1. screen display is good not so crisp to look but overall good display fit on one hand cause its only qHD. If you want to make it faster then you adjust the animation options under developer options (google it). It will speed up your phone dramatically. Yes, that is normal..The same with my Mini. Every manufacturer states only full memory capacity. So you can get pretty dissaponted. One example : manufacturer states smartphone is 16Gb, but only 10Gb available to user and so on... You can ROOt your phone to delete installed bloatware or get SD card.

where did you get your G2 mini? if it is from a telco company w/ a line you can hace it replaced or request for a repair if not you can download laucher from playstore for you to change the background. try to factory reset it.

LG G2 mini is a good phone. multitasking is good, you can go to one app to another. it doesnt lag. and has a good battery life. but i just have a little problem regarding the cam. It cant capture even slow moving objects. it always blur. It always takes time just to capture one picture and have to wait long for it to be saved but aside from that everythings good :)

I have mine for about 6 months now. It is a really nice phone. The only problem for me are the keys in the back of the phone. Really nice idea except that there is no way to turn them off. There are three of them. The Up key for volume up and if you hold it for a few seconds it turns on the notebook, middle key for screen on and off, and a down key for volume down and if you hold it it turns on the camera - this way you can get to the camera much faster when your phone is locked. I carry my phone in my pants front pocket without any phone cover. The phone keeps turning on and taking ridiculous amounts of pictures without me knowing it. In the result I non stop need to delete hundreds of unnecessary photos and what is worse it keeps killing the battery. The phone has a good battery but with this issue sometimes the phone happens to die in just few hours, but with some hundreds of ridiculous black pictures on the memory card.

Hey my g2 mini has a glitch. It when i sometimes open my task manager its background supposedly is transparent but then mine is the settings . Even though im not opening it . Also in the camera whenever it is changing on the rear and front face camera . And also at the videos when ill look at it portrait mode and the background is the settings. It kinds of annoy me because every time it does that ill restart my phone :(

All android devices is same..internal memory spesification is right..but user not get all the internal memory space.. this issue occur due android system need internal space to it's operating system.. also the android need virtual memory which take internal memory.. So yes..it take around 2-4gb internal memory.. So if u have 4gb internal device u only get 4-2=2gb..u have 8gb internal so u only get 8-4..well if u have 16,,u get 16-4 = 12gb..

To all out there asking or knew that the capacity of memory og LG G2 MINI is 8gb or 4gb, well the answer is 4GB. Yes it is 4GB only. Check it on your computer, connect it via USB cable and you will see. The memory size that was used for the pre-installed apps for the phone was like 300MB. So I guess that would clear my mind about it or maybe yours too. But if I'm wrong, only LG can correct for this matter which somehow most of the LG representatives here in the Philippines doesn't have really an idea on what they are selling.

The sound quality of ear piece during calls is bad, with a constant noise in the back. While listening to radio was bearable. For the price of 160 euros didnt expect more,and you can always buy new handsfree. The mic should be ok, because when i am in a call the other person hears me just fine. There is a problem with the upper speaker in some calls only (for me, at least), ps the voice isn't clear and sounds like mechanic. The sound is good, clear and loud, when you play something in youtube for example, the sounds come out both the upper and the lower speaker.

not true at all. as stated the screen resolution is not as clear as hd but its not pixelated, colors are real screen is clear and crisp and wide viewing angle, thanks to ips panel. you won't see much difference between this and an hd resolution phone. i've been using this phone for almost 6mos now and i'm very satisfied and worth the money. expect some sort of stripped down version since this phone is classified as mid range level. but as i said, you won't regret to have one, not hd resolution but battery life is way better in almost everyone, plus the rear key is comfortable and in style.

@YANE Look at pic 11 from the G2 mini test here on gsmarena. The pic which shows the lower part of the phone, where you can see the USB port and the two grills. The right one is the speaker (as you don't have the speaker on the back of the phone like in the case of LG L90) and the behind the left grill, you can see the mic, as it is a darker/black small spot/point, and the rest of the background of the left grill is not so dark as the right one.

I couldn't decide between this and the new Moto G, which is another very good phone. But after comparing deeply both of them, I'll go for this one! The G's battery was bothering me so much, that's an important factor for me. Also, it's non removable, which could be solved. On the other hand, the LG's battery is great and also removable. So it won! Another important factor for me is that the G2 mini can film at 1080p, while the G only at 720p. And as I'll use it at night and film bands, the G2 Mini won again. Ok, the G2 is not 720p resolution, the G won at that. But that's not massively important me as it's gonna be my secondary phone(the S4 is my primary the moment), and will substitute the Grand duos(I need a dual phone, you know), so the G2 Mini will fit the bill beautifully.

the screen resolution is just a number. once the resolution hits the 190ppi, it wont matter anymore. specially for screen sizes of smartphone. what can matter is the viewing angle and the color and brightness rendering. lg makes good large screen tv's. so they most probably know their business.

I haven't seen LG g2 yet. But I have moto g2 (2nd gen) from last two weeks... Ii surely recommend u to buy it. just go in specs in gsmarena and u will find which is better display quality.. surelmoto g is clear winner.. I played havy games up to 2 gb for continues 4-5 hours for testing it. And there was lo lags. A smoother performance. Just loved it. Call clarity, cam clarity are awesome. And I m speechless for sound. Marvelous front speakers... The only problem is non removal 2070mah battery. But it is enough for me. it lasts for a day when 3-4 surfing, 1.5-2 hour gaming, 2-3 hour music, taking Some pics, 40 minutes calling, texting for around 30 minutes. It's enough for me. In my point of view u must have to go with moto g. But I can't tell u more because I haven't tested LG g2 mini yet

moto g have stock android in it. which means just like any other generic phone that has stock android, very small effort has been put in its OS. most chinees phone are like that, with just the transferring of apps to sd as the main tweak to the android system. LG G2 and the same league like sony or samasung has somehow added something to the stock android os. significant thought has been put in the OS to be identified as unique to the brand. i am using lg g2 mini now and it is smoother compared to the other phone i had before (samsung ang sony). LG did a good job adapting the OS to the G2 hardware. i want the brand to at least think about somthing before i spend my money on the product. :-)

in my country the moto g 1st gen is 18K and 2nd gen is arounf 20-21K whereas the Lg g2 mini is 26k..i had a great research on these and went for LG g2 mini(at that time moto g 2nd was not available).there are many reasons behind this for me..moto g is a chubby phone which is no way looking smart whereas g2 mini is a damn sexy phone..also if u consider the display to body ratio u will get it.. now, i dont know which problem did u head about, but i am using this phone for over a month and im super happy.no lag, no screen problem(though i heard about screen flickering from somebody) everything is going fine..it is not stock android but it is a customized UI with stock android speed...so definitely u should go for g2 mini..

Finally I got this phone!!! For 2 days of used I would say it's superb! Battery lasts a day of heavy use / Games, Wifi etc.. I was satisfied the performance of the phone although the resolution only qHD but becoz of IPS its pleasant enough for the eyes and its power efficiency. Have a very good camera but not the best, audio quality above average only I don't like the included earphone so I used other instead. NO HEATING PROBLEM unlike high end smartphone. I rate this phone 9 of 10 for midrange smartphone.

LG G2 Mini is great! I've had it for two weeks now and everything has worked perfectly so far! It's quad core processor gives it a very pleasing speed woth no lacking at all. Multitasking works perfectly with 1GB of Ram and Qslide is so useful. Its camera shoots fast and accurately and gives great photos! Its batery is more than enough lasting more than a whole day with heavy usage, like mobile data always on and gaming or watching videos. Its screen is large enough and the ppi are enough to give a beautiful result... In general, the phone works perfectly and LG has manages to include everything nneded for an average user in this phone! It is value for money and you should definately buy it!!! 😃

Zahir is right. Great headphone and music is fine. Regarding the video call, it is not available via a regular call. But using skype or wechat whether 3g connection or wifi, it is fine.

For the loudapeaker, for me it is reasonable. @Harry Fox: if you have additional proof of income like bank statement, submit it also. Orelse, go to other store. Gbelt,glorietta, or sm. @All: regarding Wechat video calling,after some updates of the app still the video quality still dark. Guess its not compatible with the app but where is the problem? Is it on the phone or the kitkat software on Lg g2 mini? But for Skype, not a problem at all.

I got mine for 280 dollars online and never looked back the guest mode, plug and pop and back keys are all features I now can't live without. Actually I got mine from globe as well. 999 plan with 5gb cap of data for 30 days is not bad at all. I usually use it with my wifi connection at home and its best. Got approved for 6 days of waiting. You should chat with globe to follow up your application via talk2globe and it will direct you over. LG g2 mini Im using it for couple of weeks now and I love it. this phone is so cool how it works smoohtly. the battery is better and no lags and problem while playing games on it. Better contact globe and follow up your application :)

dear adna, if u see the specification of those two then u will see some clear difference. for example, L9 2 positives: better display with better resolution, dolby sound enhancement, dual band wifi(think u don't need it) Lg g2 mini positives: better design and biuld quality, LTE version and NFC ( if ur country supports and if u need it), gorilla glass display, quar core processor( though not much good that the krait processor of L9 2), bigger batter and endurance rating.. also i want to mention if u get a 4G LTE version ( as mine) the processor is bit good and also will get EDGE 33 class.. Now, if u want my suggestion then go for G2 mini.. Before buying i did a research of 1 month by reading reviews, comments and videos in youtube and went for it. actually its really 8gb. Its just that your memory will be divided into 2 since the other 4gb will be used as backup on your stock apps and the other one will be for the user. For music and other apps that you might like to install. ^_^

Yeah it takes arounf 3 hours to charge and its because of higher mAh battery and also for the charger but the battery is cool enough. yeasterday i downloaded apps and browsed internet for more than 2 hours and the charge got to 94% from 100%(yeah sometimes i kept the screen off may be for 20 mins) so i think ur battery may not be a good one..mine got the original Made in Korea version..what is urs??

It's probably your wifi conection the problem. Try connect to anoter source and see if this happens again but my gues is that the wifi connection is week and takes time to connect . I have a LG optimus black P970 and it worckd just fine . Now I want an upgrade and lg g2 or g2 mini is my option of choice

There is a setting like other android units where you can move the app from Phone to Sd Card. Even though Lg G2 mini do not have that as what you are looking for, it is not hard to do that thing by the way :D

Because i just went recently to LG Store and Service here in Philippines and they told me that it shall undergo to software check then if nothing will happen, they will diagnose it and replace what is necessary. So im gonna demand to replace my unit with Globe Telecom where i got the unit exactly 30 days today. @to ALL; please share to us if your unit does also have that flickering issue at very low brightness like 0-13%. Because of security reason, Google changed the way to access SD card. So you have to wait app writer to update their app. Pay attention to those preinstalled apps, because they're not installed from Google Play, Google Play will not notify you new version of those apps.

In my time I've owned Samsung s3 s4mini Nexus 5 Sony XP and now LG G2 mini and this is defiantly my favourite. Samsung's UI too bloated and cartoon like for my liking Nexus 5 too big and awkward for my hand Sony XP too stuttery and heats up way too much. LG G2 mini PERFECT! Nice UI no bloat nice size and buttery smooth SPOT ON in fact I'm struggling to find fault with it at all.

that's normal dude. just wait for about 5minutes and the battery will shows the accurate status. mine has no problem i managed 9-10hours standby time before it dropped down from 100% to 99%. for continues browsing it took 10-12minutes before it dropped from 100% down to 99%. sometime the battery's percentage is not that accurate so make sure your battery is 100% fully charged before unplug. i conducted an experiment for my g2mini's battery i managed an impressive "107 hours" for moderate usage. 30minutes browsing,30minutes videoplayback,about 25txt messages, 30minutes FB checking my messages and notifications 10minutes call, and the rest are standby. i set my brightness level at 60% that's an amazing morethan enough!

I have lg g2 mini for 2 weeks now and I am a bit disappointed about my battery. 1,5 hour gaming, 2 hour web browsing, internet connection ON all the time, hot-spot for 2 hours, brightness 50% ...battery from 100% to 10% in 12 hours. Maybe M2 is better than your past phones, but not better compare to G2 Mini or Xperia C or S4 mini try to take a still photo or video camera in an indoor or at night you will see m2 is very poor , noisy ,poor of details and less sharpness. try to play some games in just 20 minutes the glass back gets hotter. speaker is also very weak and slow charging. we experienced those problems with my two friends

From philippines here, me too the screen flicker is not issue, you will not even notice unless white background is displayed and in reality you can't really notice the problem, just put on 30-50% brightness and everything will be fine.

Re. inability to write to external SD card -- this is a new "feature" of Kitkat. Only officially-sanctioned apps like your installed OEM camera app will be entitled to write to the SD card natively and automatically. This security feature is supposed to enhance global system security, but is a pain in the neck for those of us who've been using Android for some time. The only good news is that LG's native file manager, for instance, has full read-write access to the SD card. As for external, 3rd party apps - you're out of luck until Google decides to loosen these constrictions. But you can manually use the LG file manager to move music and photos to the SD card, and then use your apps to point to that location. This will just mean more manual labour in the meantime, I'm afraid.

Hi. I got my g2 mini a couple months ago. And the flickering when brightness set to 0% is more likely not a problem since we you and the other guy has it. And I always set my brightness to 50% all the time. And for me its not really an issue. Im from Philippines btw.

I got my phone on retail store, and yes i see a very little flicker when low brightness, i think this is not a factory defect, its somewhat issue on IPS panel since this panel technology is new and still developing. Just increase the brightness to 40% and no flicker at all. Hoping this issue will be fixed on the next update probably on Kitkat 4.4.3 :)

Hi. Regarding the flicker on the screen, they say its normal? Does also to you guys? Set the brightness to 15-0% and you should see it flicker. Globe telecom here in Philippines said it is normal but i dont think so. Making sure also to the users. *Cause there is an option in G2 mini that you can set the brightness to 0% from 12am-6am. That is why i found out this issue. Im wandering if that's a factory defect. Because some say it is because of the IPS screen or the the battery save feature. I dont think so. Please do share yours. 4 GB are available to the user. The rest 4 is taken by OS and some of the LG installed apps, most of it is bloatware though. It supports a micro SD extension up to 32GB so memory shouldn't be a problem.

Having owned the Nexus 5 for 9 months I loved it but for a couple of niggles. The size was a touch too big for a start and the UI had a couple of shortcomings so I sold it and bought the LG G2 Mini and immediately was a happy chappy. Perfect size wise and LG had perfected the shortcomings of stock android. The ability to save to my 32gb card a god send and as for the resolution deficiency I can hardly notice the difference unless I look REALLY hard. Dispite the LOWER hardware there is no loss of smoothness and definitely no sign of any lag. So well done LG I'm sold on your baby Nexus.

Thanks for the info. Got it already after i post the query. Please do reply guys regarding your unit if it is screen do flicker. Set your Brightness to 10% to 7% then go to a white screen background. Mine, i went to Settings. Because they said it is normal to LG G2 that kind of situation. Also the front camera when using Wechat only, is too dark compare to skype. Brother, To attain the full potential of a battery of any device (Assuming that it is brand new and out of the box), you must observe and do the initial proper charging. Let your battery drain fully on the first use until the phone switches off. Plug the charger and let it charge until the battery indicator is is at 100 percent. Do it atleast 6 to 10 times initially in order to maximize yor battery life. I suggest to avoid using your phone while it is charging and unplug it at 100percent alwaus if possible. Hope this helps. I have this phone (D620r) for 4 days and I really like the form factor (coming from the bigger brother G2) and the overall experience but at the same time I'm a bit disappointed in battery life. With all off (wireless, nfc, bluetooth, etc) the phone loses 3-4% in 7-8 hours while I sleep. Playing music on it also drains the battery quite fast. The weirdest thing on this phone is that Android OS consumes more energy than the screen. This is happening after i switched off google now, and virtually everything that could be switched off without rooting it, because before that I had 1% battery drain in 5 minutes - the phone was only sitting on my desk while i was working. I'm running Android 4.4.2 on it. Here's a screenshot: Anyone have any idea why i'm getting so poor battery life while everyone else praise it? Battery along with the form factor was the main reasons i bought this phone :(.

Don't hesitate to buy this one coz it's so cool, especially the back buttons, it's so nice. Also if you want a good camera then you should try this one. It has a long battery and removable back cover. Although it has only gHD resolution, it's acceptable. And lastly, it is fast and reliable.

Thanks Nikolov...my concern is with only about 4.5 GIG of actual user space IF I get the 13 megapixel camera TEGRA version I will need to use SD Card for archiving Photos and will need to SD Card photos for emails , presentations etc. So I just hope the 13 megapixel Camera is a step or 2 up from the 8 megapixel. The weird thing is with all these different Versions of G2 Mini, LG could have one basic Model with 2 GIGS RAM, 16 GIG ROM, and better SOC instead of wasting money on so many versions. One guy in Germany said his G2 Mini has LED Notification light on back ! And so far , no LG MINI released in USA , and LG would not tell me anything about the Phone cause not in USA, ....secret Phone lol.

CAMERA App should have a way to store and retrieve photos from the SD Card . In GALLERY is there a Folder that Says SD. card ? When you take a picture, should be option to store to SD CARD. Can you email a photo directly from the SD Card on.your,G2 MINI ?

model D618 bought this 3 days ago only 4gb availabe battery : charge 2 times aday . i use it for browsing, taking picture dual sim card: only 1 slot support 3g the 2nd one show only e until now i don't know how to change picture folder to microsdcard, and you need software to transfer file from phone to computer the rear camera is pretty good for the phone at this price rage, but still not good enough in low light without flash . and it's so light weight..(very) feels like a toy phone the ips screen, you can still see in sunlight condition, but not clear enough. you still have to avoid sun light to see it properly and the worst thing about this phone just like other review out there, is the speaker even if you put the volume to max, you still can't hear it in crowded situasion, i mean it's very low, and right know i'm thinking to put 320kbps ring tone in it, to see if this can make any difference but still at this price range this phone has a gorilla glass, which is very rare from other manufacture except chinese phone... game performance. i instaall final fight 2, 2d game, and it took some times to load, in 3d game such as sonic run, it run pretty good so if you looking for dual sim that support 3g, this is not the one you looking for, but if you looking for a phone with good camera, gorilla glass, lightweight this might be the one that's why i choose it, even though i have a little regret, that it need a software just to transfer the file into mac and windows.. and would be nice if both sim card support 3g hope it helps

Thanks Guy that knows Phones. A few reviews on the 8 megapixel G2 Mini said it has good sharp pictures a bit better than Samsung S 4 Mini so I am wondering if they fine tuned the software for the Mini a bit especially HDR Mode looks pretty good on some samples. Also on the 13 megapixel LG Mini Tegra is it the,Sensor from the G2 or the Optimus G ? Cause if the Tegra ( LG D 625 ) is close to G2 that would be a nice little Camera . Thanks.

Optimus G is way better than G2 Mini, here's why: -G2M uses Snapdragon 400 while OG uses Snapdragon S4 Pro, wnich is basically Snapdragon 600 under different name, the same that Galaxy S4 and HTC One use. It's about twice as powerful. -G2M has Adreno 305, while OG has Adreno 320 wnich is over twice as fast -G2M has 4.7" 960x540 screen, while OG at the same size has 1280x768 resolution. Both phone use same technology. -G2M has only 8GB of onboard memory, while OG has 32GB. -G2M has 1GB, while OG has twice as that - 2GB, with more ram apps won't close as often, and the transition between them is going to be faster -G2M has 8mpx camera, while OG has 13mpx. Both use nearly the same sensor, so you'll have very simmilar quality only that the OG's photos will have higher resolution -Both support LTE, NFC, etc, etc -OG has better developer support -G2 non-mini and Optimus G has really good build quality and nice feel to them. G2 Mini feels like a cheap knock-off. Of course none of them are as good in build quality as HTC One. Currently I'm using G2 and I can say that it's the best phone I've ever had, and while it's plastic it's quite sturdy. I dropped it a dozen of times and not a scratch (I use Nillkin case wnich I got in Japan and it's great). Previously I had Optimus G wnich was also a really good phone, but when G2 came, I sold it to my friend and he's super happy with it. Meanwhile, the G2 Mini is shit, just like S4 Mini, One mini and every other Mini is. Don't buy anything with Mini in its name, I tell all my friends that G2 Mini is shit (because it is, and I've tested it) even though I have regular G2. The only good Mini out there is Xperia Z1 Compact. If you want a good phone, just get the Optimus G and slap a custom ROM on it, after that it works like dream.

Definetely G2 Mini, maybe the resolution is lower, but it has Gorilla Glass 2 and IPS Display, while Grand 2 is TFT, and you got the beautiful + useful design of G2(the flagship), it has all the features of G2, trust me, you wouldn't regret if you buy G2 Mini. :)

As suggested, posting below what I committed to G2miniLTE. And to be clear: When talking about the hardware itself it seems really solid. My main criteria for selection were quad-core, removable battery, Re # Screen resolution is actually perfectly enough for anything. I don't understand the demand for higher and higher resolution in such small devices. What resolution do people have in desktop comps or laptops? Most laptops sell with 1280x720. My fingers are not small enough and eyes not good enough for any higher resolution. The backlight pattern or IPS matrix are more important factors than 4K resolution. One must also remember the pixel count impacts the battery drain. # QSlide. Yes you can do it as they do on youtube. You can with Calendar,Memo, File manager, Calculator, Internet, Phone, Videos, Messaging, E-Mail. But nothing more. No other app can be used in that mode. I cannot open GPS like that, or MXPlayer, or Boat browser, or K9mail, or�. limited to the above set. OK, in this case I can understand technical issues. // Posting below what I committed to G2miniLTE. ------------------------------------------------­------ OK Then. I Have this piece of � hardware for few weeks now. General impression? The more I use it the more disappointed I am. I knew what features it would not have (with one exception maybe). But those it has I was expecting to be fully functional - no, they are not. But some goods first: performance is OK. The screen operation is smooth - almost everything opens quickly. Camera opens quickly enough so one still has chances to capture the moment. Colors are nice, brightness is also sufficient, battery life better indeed than most handsets I met. Some nice features like extended toolbar - hotspot shortcut included in it. Now the bads. In order of my rising frustration: # NO Ambient Light sensor - this is really odd - I missed that in specs (or the specs missed it?). I was hoping to use it for GPS but without the sensor it gets hard sometimes. One would do better getting some 7" tablet if GPS is considered. Yes, I use LUX app but it does not give constant adjustments when no sensor. Also, it is not working properly with the native KitKat brightness settings. When LUX is enabled the native (and any other) brightness settings are corrupted - not working at all. And I do not blame LUX as it works as expected on JB phone. [Update] Curious is why LG did not implement an original brightness control thru the cam while they implement such exotic things like "Smart screen" or "Smart video" - implementing "Smart brightness" should be a peanut (enough would be to adjust bri periodically when screen is on, with a user-defined period) And why not to make it standard so all the IR apps could work with it!?! Didn't they learn anything about locked standards? # Bluetooth control. I tried to connect "phone" and "media" to the car's BT and to run GPS on it. It works, but - you cannot stop the music in any way. Or rather you can but pausing musing mutes everything else so my GPS gets muted too. What a ridiculous behavior. I have spent too much time investigating it and could not get it working properly (of course no problems on SG). Hence, I decided to disconnect media and leave only phone on BT. Now music is stopped and GPS messages go thru the handset's speakers. # QuickRemote - this is the biggest joke in the whole set. Ok, I confirm, it works too. But have you seen "bigG2" remote? You have Audio, Projector, Universal remote and even AC in it. Here, merely TV, DVD & BR, period. "One moment " - you would say - "you can always use learning function"� no, my dear, there's no that function either. 3rd party apps? No way - LG locks down the IR blaster so no app recognizes it. Happy? # QSlide multitasking - this is like a toy rather. Nothing really useful. I would like it if it let me put two external apps on the screen like GPS and something else but this is not the case. Oh� moment. LG has such an interesting functionality called "Slide aside". This is it! �But sorry - not in G2mini. "G2big" has it. Update: "Slide aside" also is not what I need. QSlide is closer but too limited. # Knock-Code - I still don�t get what's the fuss about. This is really a minor feature. Actually, it is not too comfortable as it is not always working as it should. OK - for switching off the screen it works nice but for unlocking - not really. Many times I had to repeat the combination. Also knocking to wake up only (double tap in the middle) is not what it should be. Seems like the device enters some deeper sleep mode after few minutes and then it does not react after 2 knocks immediately. You need either repeat or knock 3 times. # Battery meter. Where is that nice two-level battery meter showing time lines for system awake, wifi activity, GPS activity etc. Nothing like that. Oh, that in that price tag the client is not so serious about technical details, right? Believe me, I'm very serious about it. Hey, but wasn't it available in my cheap SG with JB? Of course it was. # Call answering. There is a feature to drop the call with the power button. But why on heavens there is no chance to answer the call with any hardware button. I don�t even care to finish the call in most cases except when my ex is calling ;) but many times I really need to pick the call quickly just while pulling the handset out of my pocket and without looking at it. But no, there is no such an option. Oh, wait� My old, cheap SG has it� # Camera stabilizer. Why not to give any software-stabilization for 8mpix camera? This is the mystery of the LG marketing gurus. # Not to forget some crazy bugs like that one when plugging in the charger and it shows that very nice animation of the plug with adequate sound and - it does it 10 times or more! Reset helps - sometimes. So, the impression the phone makes is like a crippled G2's advertisement or a demo, or trial version that seems telling you "here is an ersatz what you could have but if you want it fully functional get the real smartphone for 2x the money". Yeah� now I know it. But sorry, I will not - I have bought this piece already and will stay with it for a while. And then I will stay away from the whole frivolous brand.

The call quality is quite OK as for me but it must depend on the caller. When calling my operator service on 'earpiece', the sound is loud enough to hear it at arm's length. Notice also the device has two microphones, that's why the caller may get not too good quality when people talk in speaker mode. How? When in normal 'earpiece'mode the microphone which is used is hidden in the left speaker - should be fine in most cases, but if in 'speaker'mode the mic is on the top so you need to reverse it. Otherwise the sound can be muffled.

The other criticism of this phone being expensive for what it is /does is valid IMO because for a hundred dollars more you can get full size G2- BUT if you want a smaller full featured phone only 5" tall , very few Androids ( Moto G , Moto X) fill this Void. LG G3 Mini will have 720 p screen but who knows when that will be available. Some of these issues may be solved by Software Updates. I want ctriticisms of the LG G2 MINI so keep them coming positive and negative...

i am hoping that lg will make a g2 mini pro or a g3 mini pro . with the 13 megapixel camera from the tegra d 625 g 2 mini ( already exists ) and the tegra cpu that already exists. same perfect size screen is 4.7" and phone is easily fit in pocket only 5.1" tall dimension. but upgrade screen resolution. 2 gig ram. if lg merely adds ram and higher screen resolution to the d 625 tegra -it will be the most powerful compact and one of the tip performers on benchmarks. forward this to lg-wake them up !

I own the lg g2 mini,and i can say you it's the best ,no hangs ,camera clear and sharp with natural colours,battery 2 days (with 2-3h per day gaming)-stand by mode 5-6 days maybe more,call quality great very loud and clear,speaker for music great ! really i can't say anything bad about it ,it's the best in class for sure.The lg g2 mini beats xperia c and sp in all aspects and it beats all phones in it's range .It doesn't have any real cons .

Yes , phones are getting larger and larger, too large to fit in pocket. I looked up the size of the Samsung Galaxy 15 which will be coming out in the year 2021. It will be 15 inches tall and 8 inches wide ! Takes two people to place a call, but.the screen is going to be beautiful......lol

Camera is great,you surely won't be disappointed .The images are clear and sharp,also the colors are natural.I think beside the great battery the camera is the second advantage of this phone against rival phones.Lg g2 mini is faster,newer than s3 ,and if you can't decide which one to take then lg g2 mini is 100% the right choose.

You can play all games on it ,modern combat 4 works without lag the other two i haven't tested but they should work without any problem.The only game that i coundn't find on store was 'Amazing spiderman 2' but it's a brand new game so they will surely optimize it also.My lg g2 mini scores a 17,647 score on the benchmark it's flawless and every game on market plays 100% .Also the battery is great ,i play minion rush,clash of clans and hay day and the battery can edure one and half days .In standby the battery can last ENDLESS! heheh really i don't know but surely it can easy reach 4-5 days ,maybe more if you use it only for calls and messages.

i bought this phone last week for my wife and i also try to have a hands-on experience in using this phone..all i can say is that with 13,999 pesos price here in the Philippines, this phone is amazing.. the specs in its range are excellent specially the battery, the user interface & 4.4.2 kitkat OS are just too good for this phone.. the phone run smoothly and i am satisfied, although currently i am using Samsung galaxy s4 still I recommend to buy LG G2 Mini..you will never waste your money with this phone..

When i press battery ,expected time to use on 96% was about 411h -stand by only a few calls and messages.I play games maybe 2-3 h per day ,it can endure 2 whole days without problem with that use.Battery on this phone is just amazing,the best in market for sure .My battery is currently 67% it says 'Expected time to use' is 128h 1min -i played games before that 2 h .That all i can say about the battery it's just great ,the best i have ever seen on smartphone.
