LG Stylo definitely rocks! I have my LGE LGMS631 since Nov. 2015. Still kicking like new (a few scratches and bumps, all me to blame ☺) Now, the charger cable connector started to have problems. The first idea was to get a wireless charger.... Does anybody know if LGE LGMS631 is compatible with some wireless charger? Thank You

I have been buying LG every 2 years for 15 years but will never buy another! The charging port fails after 3 months and I've replaced it 3 times in one year! Verizon nor Asurion will replace without cost again because they said its a design flaw by LG, not cover able, again. 👎 LG

I hate mine too. It's horrible. I've had it over a year and it's made so much stress for me. Keyboard freezes screen freezes won't download pictures won't send pictures it just stops working and takes pauses. Takes blurry pictures. That LG Stylo 3 should never have been put on the market

I've been thru 6 of these and all junk! Verizon won't give me discounts on bill since I can't access a lot of what I'm paying for not will they even upgrade me. They say I need to pay off this junk first! Right!!! I know it's illegal to charge for services you never receive and also the address lemon laws. My daughter who lives in another city has the same problems. I hate LG and Verizon! Never had issues with prior LG products.

Opened out of box. Took 1 photo and 1 video Memory full Can't move anything to the giant sd card it can accept(up to 2 terabytes) Try to type and keyboard dissapears to the point that I punch the screen. Don't think I'm ever buying an LG again....no concept of how a phone or electronix should work.....because it barely works. Glad I bought an overpriced paperweight

The original Stylo has been a nightmare from almost day one. It comes with 8 gigs of memory, and the operating system and associated apps take up nearly 5 gigs. Stupid thing won't transfer all of my apps to my SD card, and when you turn it off, you usually have to move what apps are on the SD back. I will NEVER own another Stylo. I am going in today to get a G6. I had excellent luck with LG phones until I got this paperweight. The two older LG phones I had prior to this one were dinosaurs compared to today's tech, and they ran CIRCLES around this turd. Never again. 0 stars.....

new opinion posted a while back on how much my stylo suck well due to my frustration I have changed my opinion of the stylo it is the most rugged phone Ive owned Iwork in construction And have an attitude one of the worst combos for phone longevity and after being thrown at least three times the dam thing is still working fine.Now i went with the stylo 2 I will let you know how it goes.

I don't know, maybe I got the lemon or something...but for me, the LG Stylo was just total crud. Not two months after I got mine, the GPS no longer worked properly (would take at least 5 minutes to actually say it has found my location, and even then, 3 times out of 5, it wouldn't be the right location, restarting the app and phone wouldn't fix it either,) the power button wouldn't always work and I'd have to slam my finger onto it several times while placing my phone on a solid surface so that the button could receive the full force of my slamming my finger onto it to make it work again, and then a few months later, the lower volume button started acting up the same way as the power button. On top of that, it will just totally and randomly clear out of apps that I'm using even though I made no indication to do so. And the biggest thing that irked me the most about this phone was that two weeks ago, after I spent two months working on hard on getting my music and playlists just the way I like them on my phone, all of a sudden, all but like...10 songs disappeared and none of my playlists existed anymore. Like I said, maybe I just got a lemon, but if I could offer this phone a rating, it would definitely be a 1 star because this phone has offered me nothing but horrible experiences. Hopefully someone else has had better luck with it.

I have just bought the styl2 and its great! I come from a Samsung note background, my last phone being the note 4 and the LG is way better. For price, fantastic phone that does everything my expensive phone did and has better screen, response time and settings menu and options. No complaints here. Finding the location of buttons hard to get used too but like how u don't accidentally turn off anymore while holding sides of phone. Miss my white coloured phone but can personalize as much as any expensive phone. Stylus also now sensitive and easier to use without buttons on the side that I used to press accidentally while trying to write a note. Great phone 😃

As a former owner of the LG G Stylo 2 I was moderately pleased with the phone's performance I used quite a bit of apps perhaps I should have done more research before buying the phone but at the time I really needed a phone and I came across the LG G Stylo and at the price point I felt that I was getting a good deal well unfortunately I had to go out and invest in a 32 gigabyte micro SD card so needless to say you know I probably could have saved up a little bit more money held out bought the LG Stylo 2 which I am a proud owner of today I have to say that I've already got my already have my new phone set up and I have to say that I'm quite pleased thus far with the performance is giving me I haven't had any random rebooting I haven't had any lagging crashing and I am able to install whatever apps I need and have plenty of room to do system updates as well as update whatever Android apps I already have installed sitting at the new phone was easy everything transferred seamlessly and flawlessly except for a few apps had a hard time transferring but for the most part I would say that setting up my new LG Stylo 2 was a pretty easy task to accomplish quite pleased with the new Stylo 2 very Hardy phone lot lighter bigger screen better-looking camera so all in all hands down it blows the LG G Stylo out of the water and I'm quite pleased with my new phone thanks LG

The LG Stylo 2 plus is dog crap! Its a lousy model. I thought Samsung S6 Edge Plus was bad..this model is terrible. Incoming calls get missed, because of a unresponsive screen, and the volume is on the front of the phone, rather than the side. Buy something else!

My phone won't update to Marshmellow, everytime I try, it says it is up to date(it's at 5.1.1). I've tried doing the thing with LG Bridge on my computer, but even that will not work. Can anyone be of good help? Thanks.

I have had my LG G Stylo since about 2 months after it was released. My phone amd I have been through many many speed bumps, but I am still in love with it. I do have a slight issue with my keyboard, but I'm trying to diagnose whether it's a stylo issue, or an age issue. I installed GoKeyboard so I could change the look of my phone, and for some reason my phone keeps trying to get me to switch back to the lg keyboard. My keyboard also shuts off on me while I'm typing, and it's very difficult to get it back. The storage thing does bother me, but I have a large sd card, and I go into my apps and switch everything I can over to it(as well as my pictures) routinely. I also noticed that whenever you update your apps, you have to put them back on your sd card. I am honestly on my phone 80% of the time I'm home from work, and 100% of the time at work listening to music, and talking to my boss. I accidentally cracked the screen about 8 months ago(not real sure how),and I've only ran into one slight issue because of it, and it cleared up on it's own in a matter of minutes. I do fully intend on upgrading to the Stylo 2 when finances permit. Not because I have any issues with my current stylo, but because it's kind of old, and eventually it will probably give up. Love LG, have had nothing but luck with this brand of cell phones.

The phone is great and all but the camera,power buttons and keyboard are usually faulty. My LG G Stylo's buttons currently do not work at all regardless of what I do,the keyboard pops up and dissapears whenever it feels like it no matter what I try,and the camera will not work no matter how much cache I clean up. So whoever gets this phone should embrace for these mistakes and have money ready for fixes after hardly few weeks of unpacking.

Yup yer lucky.(LG stylo2plus) Because 99% are not able to transfer apps or files or pics to an SD. It is a blunder. Im with metropcs and the stores are uninformed, untrained. My LGstylo2plus had locked up my texting in and out.

I have the same issue with memory. It freezes. It deleted apps. Sometimes it says my sd card isn't there. They replaced it with the same phone and I have same issues. They said its a problem with the phone itself but they won't do a Damn thing to help me. I am reporting them to the better business bureau...the man was very rude. I'll never buy an LG product again!!!

I have Stylo G, 6.0 marshmellow through Virgin Mobile. I am having issue with memory. The phone will only let me move 10 movable apps to the SD card, no matter the size of the app. Ok keep getting Not enough memory available error message when in fact I have only used a third of the memory available on the card. When I first got the phone, during set up I never got the option to us SD card as internal memory.

The LG Stylo can be updated to Marshmellow, Stylo first gen owners have already posted reviews which show and state that the phone updated to 6.0 out of the box though disclaimer the update may be limited to certain carriers and may depend on where you purchase the phone.

IGotStylo the issue you described sounds like a ram virus combo related problem you might want to try "Clean Master" and "CM" antivirus apps in the Google app store do a quick scan and clean your device also note that the phone only 1GB of Ram this can limit the phones performance causing the phone to stutter, and lag, but the screen flickering can be caused by numerous things such as panel damage system boot up malfunction. I know you posted this a little while ago but I thought I might be able to offer some insight and help.

Only minor problem is I must clear apps a lot and delete storage. Battery lasts all day camera works great.Love this phone.

After reading all of the reviews, I'm convinced that LG G Stylo's are garbage. This is the 3rd LG G Stylo. Thank goodness Tmobile exchanged my phone for free...3 times. Now, I'm having the same problem with the same phone. Is there a recall with this phone?

I have had this phone about 5 months. Mostly I like it. Recently the screen started flickering I didnthe troubleshoot of turning off overlays but it didn't resolve it. Sometimes lately the phone will type on its own interupting my message. Also there are a ton of ads popping up that i have to swipe away anf unlock the phone again repeatedly. Not sure if thats the phone or something else but it is annoying.

I had this phone for about 6 months now. I have no problems with it. I see people complaining about the GPS, Im a delivery driver and never had problems with it, we have 16gb of internal memory and 95% of all apps we are able to transfer to the SD card. No screen flickering problems and battery is great, never heats up. People just get unlucky sometimes and gets a bad device.

Every time i turn around the phones is updating apps the phone come with only 8Gb of storage and takes away almost 5Gb (4.62 Gb) in full for the system data. Thats more than half of the internal storage. The processor will drag every step of the way until u close and force stop a app that is consuming large amounts of storage data. Ive had to disable a few google apps that come pre-installed on the device. I have to set my sms storage to a max settings to 5 for both sms and mms. Basicly what im saying once the phone was active and able to update internal storage depleted faster than i could recover it. Nice phone but lacks internal storage for advance functions. 20Gb should be a standard internal storage with 2 micro SD slots for double the storage space. This is a lack of the customers demand. Im researching how to add or modify the storage ability with out damaging the phone overall function. It is possiable but im unsure about these china circuit boards.

This phone started out amazing! Thats not the case anymore. I have had it going on 5months now. The screen flickers really bad, restarting it doesnt do anything for it (this is not good for me as a have epilepsy and flashing light is one of my many triggers) the GPS never works, the camera freezes quite frequently, it overheats so bad to the point to where i now get a warning notification telling me my phone is at a very high and dangerous temperature and will turn off for my safety ( knits is something i have NEVER seen before with any other device) my contacts names dissapear at least every other day for a few hours and i have no idea who is calling or texting me when that happens. This phone needs to be recalled ASAP

It is very difficult to find files for it. Also the screen has been starting to flicker, which is not that noticeable but it does happen. The GPS crap is what made me change phones. It's a heating problem, as soon as it gets above a certain degree, the GPS craps out. I always had to have it in front of my AC vent when driving or there's was no way in hell it was working. I have a Samsung J7 and couldn't be happier with it.

At first I was excited about this phone. The screen was nice and large. Pictures were big and bright and the sound was good. The note pen was a plus. I wasn't a fan of the home button being on the back but I got used to it. Then all of a sudden, the phone stopped working properly. Apps wouldn't open. Ringtones disappeared and defaulted to factory settings. I couldn't go online, even using wifi. MetroPCS recommended I do a hard reset. I did it and it worked fine again. Until now. Now I can't email. I can't access the Goggle Play store. It doesn't make sense. The price was good but I'd rather pay more and lose all this frustration. I would not buy an LG phone again.

I highly recommend this phone. The L G Stylo is a fabulous little device and words better and has more features than my previous iPhone 4. And cost me a LOT LESS. Most of my problem with the phone is with not being able to find the upgrade for 6.1.1 which I need to fix the problem with the memory shortage. Other than that it's a great little phone with with a screen that I can actually SEE. And yes there are manuals for this phone. Just look around for one and learn how to use this phone. You won't be sorry.

My phone is nuts, thats all i can say about it. It won't let me set it up and dwcided on it's own to call 911 every time I turn it on.and also decided on its ow n to lock the screen.So when the phone turns on it tells me to swipe any way to unlock the phone, but i don't want my phone locked ever.plus when i do it calls 911.it's new to me and not set up cuz it keeps going nuts! I baught this phone about a month ago and it was good at first and i was happy with the design and cheap price.However, now the phone turns off repetedly and the keyboard glitches out to the point where I want to smash it on the ground. Another major flaw is the battery. It takes a very long time to charge and the batter drains from 100% to 15% in less than 40 minutes. I have to keep it on 0% brightness and close apps constantly as well as having to keep off most added features (which dont even work half the time anyways). One of the things that frustrate me the most is that there are no cases and the pen does not have a tracker. Another flaw is that i cant send calls or take calls because of the speaker and mic quality. Whenever i try to call someone it rings through all the way then goes to voice mail, i tried calling my house phone to be sure, and sadly it ringed half way through the first ringing set and then went to voice mail. Also it crashes apps and simple tasks are made impossible. Would not recomend getting this phone its horrible. Took me nearly and hour to write just this small paragraph with the keyboard glitching out

I got this lg g stylo 4 months agi st first i was so siked, for how cheap it was and the quality amazing very happy. After the first month the keyboard would not stay up for a whole word it would disappear and i would wait it would come back and i would get a letter in and it would disappear again and so on. Its very rare for me to be able to type a whole sentence before it disappears and i have to wait. I am happy with the little things in life so i don't complain about much this is very anoyying. It is very slow glitching alot to where it freezes up and you have to turn the screen off snd try your hardest to get it to come back on. I never ever ever receive any txt i am sent so they all get screen shotted and sent through fb witch ive learned to live with. I csn receive incoming but when i call someone it rings all the way through and to voicemail, a few days later the people will have to write me on fb and say hey i just got a voice mail from you today.lol i called a week ago onces.the only app that works okay on this phone is fb other then typing because keyboard. Writing this comment on here about made me smash this thing so hope you get the msg. This toom me almost 45 mins to write because of the keyboard and phone shutting off.

Great phone, excellent battery life, runs best on 5.1.1 Screen quality is excellent. All features work flawlessly, I spend ALOT of time on it gaming and it handles all my favorites with no problem. Stylus is really convenient and is accurate and reliable. I actually use it to play Vainglory ;D I have rooted and installed custom twrp. Currently running Katana rom on 5.1.1 and it's a significant performance and battery life boost running greenify with root features enabled. I wish it had a gyroscope and infrared output but these are features usually only found on flagship devices and for $100 price point not that big of a deal. I hear stock 6.0 is kinda buggy on this phone, I'd advise sticking with 5.1.1. 9/10 rating very happy with my purchase.

Ive had it for 3 weeks...except maybe that you have to click everytime you want to talk your texts...microphone dont stay on keyboard...I took case off and tgen was out and about and dropped it on the pavement today but thank God there wasnt a mark on it...put case back on tho when I got home.

The pbone flickers & tells me home screen has stopped. Sometimes it takes hrs to be able to get it back to normal.i shouldhave read the reviews on this phone before i bought it. Waste of $100 dollars. I've always used sprint samsung galaxy phones. Only reason I bought this one is my good one died on me. I'm going back to a samsung. I've had the T-Mobile version (16GB storage, 2Gb RAM) of the the LG Stylo for about 3 weeks. It upgraded to Droid 6.0 the 1st day. No problems with screen, calls, Wifi or mobile data. Seems pretty speedy. GPS worked fine...for about a week. Then started having problems with losing lock (not due to external conditions). Installing a GPS app helped for a few days, but problem returned. Also have a problem with Wifi Hotspot. It sets up fine and other devices connect, but they cannot access the Internet. Hard reset helped, but problems returned. From other comments, definitely seems to be a firmware/software issue with Droid 6.0. - does not appear to be overheating. Contacted LG support but very evasive when I asked about known issues. Only offered returning for repair. Probably won't bother since I'm not at all confident they can repair it, and I got it very cheaply. It's actually not bad as a 5.7" wifi tablet, especially for teens and younger (in a sturdy case).

Went from a galaxy s4 to the LG G Stylo because my screen cracked and the LG was a fantastic price.....Found out why. You get what you pay for. I can't even plug a jump drive into my stylo like I could my Galaxy. The LG won't recognize it PERIOD. No apps work for this either. Camera takes really crappy pictures compared to my Galaxy. Slower response, camera decides to take random pictures all on its own.God forbid if I need to make an emergency call and the stylo decides it does not want to respond as fast as it should. lag, lag, lag. I received the phone a couple of weeks ago. It's an LG G Stylo H631 from T-Mobile. The specs are somewhat better than those listed on this site. The RAM is 2 GB, not 1. The back-side camera is 16 MP, not 8. The rest of the specs seem to match. It came with Lollipop 5.0, and was upgraded to 5.1 the same day by T-Mobile. Early the next day, it upgraded again to Marshmallow 6.0. If there's another upgrade, according to T-Mobile's customer service, it won't happen for this phone until March 2017 (or after), when Android 6.0.1 may become available based on their OS upgrade cycle. I added a 32 GB SD card, and used the LG Back-up/Restore app to restore my apps from my previous LG phone. I chose the phone primarily for the larger screen. My previous phone was an LG L90 D415, which is at least 50% less screen than the Stylo. I put the phone in a 2-part, 3 piece case (top, bottom and liner) for protection. A lot of folks seem to be having a lot of issues with their G Stylo phones, but based on their posts, it's likely due to a variety of reasons that aren't due to the phone itself: Damage (which can cause the phone to eat chargers/batteries/battery life), a replacement (Typically a refurbished phone that isn't as good as a "new" one), OS variations (I had no trouble with 5.0, had trouble with 5.1, have had no trouble with 6.0), carrier differences in the phone models (T-Mobile's phone model is the H631. The H634 and other models "belong" to different carriers and won't work unless using that carrier's model and SIM card) or, very likely, app issues (most folks don't really understand the impact of how those permissions work and, unless upgraded to Android 6.0 or better, can't change those permissions once installed). I have experienced none of the issues apparently experienced by others. My phone works well, doesn't restart by itself, stays connected to calls as well as the other Smartphones phones in the house, has no issues with texting, ringtones (which was a problem when 5.1 was installed and was resolved when it went to 6.0) taking pictures or video. Apps load quickly and run smoothly (more-so than in the L90). I also like the fact there are no side buttons (volume and power buttons are on the back) to accidentally grab and press while holding the phone. There are no buttons on the front at all (there are areas on the screen programmed to act like buttons, but they're touch-based and much more responsive than buttons). It doesn't have stellar speed, but then, it's better than what I had. My apps transferred and updated properly and all things are working exactly as they should. GPS/magnetics/motion sensors all seem to work as well as in the L90, which didn't seem to have any issues that could bother most folks. It accurately reports my position in the house without having Data or Wireless turned on to within a couple of feet, and accurately indicates which direction I point the thing (according to a very expensive compass I've had for 40+ years). I use an astro lab app and it accurately reports which star I'm looking at (something that requires all of those motion/gps/compass features to be working right). Here are some tips for a better experience: 1. Buy new from the carrier. Don't buy an extended warranty. 2. Don't let the carrier replace your phone if you break it. Get it fixed elsewhere or buy another one elsewhere. 3. Cases are mandatory - especially ones that "warp around" and offer a raised edge around the screen. The phone's body is moderately cheap, but a case substantially improves its toughness. 4. Upgrade Android when possible (YMMV because it depends on your carrier/provider, or on your own technical skills if your provider won't be upgrading you. It will run at least up to Android 6.0.1, and likely will run 7 when it comes out.) 5. The phone has almost certainly taken fatal damage if there is visible damage to it after an "accident" of any kind. It's not a robust design. If something cracks, chances are the electronics inside got damaged, too. Likely better to buy another new one than get it repaired. The prices for new ones are quite reasonable now. Overall, though, if you treat it right, it's a great phone. Folks are far and away more likely to complain about what they don't like than write about what they do like. And many have higher expectations than this phone is likely to meet. Keep in mind, this phone is NOT a high-end phone. Then again, I didn't pay for one. But it has several features most low-end/budget Smartphones lack - the main one being NFC capabilities for Google Pay (if you want to set that up) or data transfer from one NFC-capable phone to another. It also has a ridiculously large screen for a phone in its price range. It's NOT good enough for VR (the specs don't measure up), but it will do most everything else you might want. If you're on a budget, take care of your equipment and don't go nuts with app downloads, while looking for "high-end" features like a large screen (Phablet-style) and NFC capabilities, this is the most feature-rich phone available (through T-Mobile) at the lowest price. If you need more, you'll have to pay (a lot) for more. For someone looking for a lot who has little to spend, I'd highly recommend this phone.

So, I've been a long time fan of LG phones, going back to the Rumor Touch and Optimus Slider. Had hoped to get a new phone with a keyboard, but they're just not out there. Saw that Boost Mobile had the Stylo on sale and my last phone had just died so I picked it up. I don't understand these negative reviews at all. Mine has been a peach, for the most part. Updated to android 6 the first time I turned it on. Good reception all over the place. Big, bright screen. Decent camera and audio. So far, it's only flaw is that it will sometimes fail to notify me of an incoming text message. I'm guessing that's a software issue that will be fixed, eventually. The phone has been pretty darn durable. Mine gets a lot of heat sitting on my dash all day doing navigation duties (I'm a courier), an environment that killed my last phone, a Motorola Photon Q. Of course, any phone will suffer if treated poorly, so mine is always in a protective case. But so far, I have not seen any of the complaints listed by other reviewers. It's a good phone and I would recommend it to any adult user.

im lg x screen user, go to accessibility turn off the settings there that says "if you click 3x the screen will zoom" that's why when you try to put your code too fast that happens, not sure but that's my experience before when I turned it on

So i got this phone in february. I wanted another phone but my parents said it was too expensive. I needed a phone with a big screen. Well after about two months i hated how big the case mad the phone and i got into a fist fight and my phone fell out of my pocket and this was my first time dropping it without the case, the screen shattered. After that, the outter edge of the screen will blink sometimes. Also, when someone tries to call me, the ringer fand caller id to answer the call fail until the last 20 seconds. Finally, the battery dies too fast. Last night i went to sleep and left my phone on charge because it takes too long to charge. But thats not the worst part about the battery. I have to constantly buy chargers because every now and then, my phone will eat it. Within the last month, i would say i went through seven chargers. I would not recomend yhis phone to ANYONE! And that means alot because i usually never hate something this much. All to say in the end, this phone was a rip off and i will not bw buying another LG product

^Update: The problem didn't go away in Safe Mode, but everything was fine after factory reset. A third-party app probably messed up. LG Canada helpdesk were very polite and helpful in solving the problem.

As with other statements, this phone is total crap. unresponsive touch screen, freezing, lag. but the worst part is that once switched i gave the phone to my mother. A week after she transferred her number to the phone it permanently crashed and would no longer boot up. Kept showing a 'Secure Booting Error' Boost was no help in resolving this problem. Kept blaming LG. LG kept blaming Boost and would not honor the warranty.

I paid $230. back in Dec. 2015. Look around at the reviews and even at new low $79.99 price now they can't sell them.. Spend a few more of your hard earned dollar's and buy a Samsung, I wish I would have. Not Happy :(

I keep hearing about a recall on the LG Stylo, after researching issues, and reading many comments, the only major issue I have with my Stylo is the GPS having trouble finding my location while searching directions. I'm rather good at navigation so I can normally get past this issue, but I can't say I've had problems with my screen "flickering" or the speaker crackling. She holds a damn good charge throughout the day, and my service is good, and I've had it for about 3 months now. Any replies and or complaints are welcome to help me better understand other issues.

I had an LG Volt before and I was pretty happy with it. Because of a busted screen I justified buying this LG G Stylo, mistake. I read all the reviews and it seemed like it might be ok, well not for me. Slow, like stupid slow at times, freezes and have to restart, buttons on the back is very inconvenient at times because of my case. It's not all bad but when your phone is so slow that you have to literally take time out from whatever your doing because it just doesn't want to respond, SUCKS!!! One more thing, it has this thing where if you are trying to put in your pin or password too fast it zooms in and you have to lock the screen and restart it or it wont work, stupid idea and it took me forever but I finally figured out how to turn off that stupid box thing that you would have to move around the screen before you could use other apps. Oh Yeah, it is freaking JAMED with bloat ware and worthless apps you can't delete or disable that use way too much memory. Spend more money, get a better phone, the savings weren't really worth it, but that's just my opinion.

I've had the same GPS problems everybody has discussed. The best way I figured to keep the GPS locked is to lock your phone so the back light is not on. It will maintain lock all the way to your destination you can periodically push the lock button to light up the screen and see where you need to go. But make sure you lock it after. Is absolutely ridiculous I have to do this because LG will not acknowledge a problem.

I purchased the White with Rose Gold trim Stylo in February and THIS PHONE IS HORRIBLE! I have had a few problems with the LG G Stylo. A lot has to do with minor things but my phone has been flickering a lot. There was a point where my entire phone was flickering and I couldn't see anything. I ended up doing a complete restart and now I treat the phone with kid gloves even thought it still flickers. I don't want to avoid doing things with my phone just so it could work decently. This is not a great phone nor a good phone. I don't think they put much effort into this. Now I don't know what to do with it. I have the insurance via MetroPCS but I have to pay for anything. It's such a pain. This phone needs a recall. I think since they knew it was mainly going to be a "cheaper" phone they didn't care how it came out. Shame. Recall this phone.

This is the second LG stylo from cricket, both have the same problems. Can't upgrade to 6.0 Marshmellow. LG released it to Cricket in March. Both Cricket and LG say to do a factory reset and the new software 6.0 should download, but no success. Will speak to a supervisor at LG on Monday for a resolution. Had the phone 2 days, could return it, but would lie to keep the phone. May send it to LG for repairs in lieu of Cricket warranty repair.

We all have the same issues...not getting text messages, phone calls and voice mails appear 2 days later. Ive reset the phone..reboot daily and its the same issues. Actually the LG G Stylo, has a problem with reading any memory cards. If you try to use MTP over the computer. The phone will no longer read an accurate recording of how much memory is on the device. Plus your device may read 64GB but the phone can only handle 32GB that information is coming off of LG's website.

I bought my LG G Stylo phone the beggining of this month and so far everything is working as i expected, it's actually an upgrade from the LG Optimus F-60 which i had for only a year and a half i would have kept it but the cpu had some kind of short which caused the battery to work a little bit faster which caused my former phone to heat up. Other than that i'm satisfied that LG kicked out a budget phone for those who can't afford a flagship device, my one only qualm is that my fingers are slightly not long enough to multitask using one hand but oh well i think i can live with that 100%

I have yet to experience any performance nor reliability issues. My only beef is that i wish there were more options available. I've had my G Stylo now for about six months, had a minor issue with fuzziness in the ear piece on phone calls but it was fixed under warranty and LG got it back to me in less than eight days. But I love this phone more than any other I've had and I've had some nice ones . The LG Stylo is fast and reliable and I love the big screen. And I love having the little stylus onboard and handy for those times I don't have one handy otherwise. And that quick note feature really comes in handy.

I have the LS770 Boost/Sprint model for abot 6 months now and it's about to go in for its 2nd RMA for hardware malfunctions. Even when the hardware is working the software is butchered to the point it has to be reset daily or your apps star crashing within a few min of opening and the keyboard just shuts off and on during use. LG and Boost are no help either. Side note since the LS770 is sprint based service only i should also mention it constantly misses calls and texts and from what i have read that is a common issue with this device.

It's not LG that is the problem it's Boost. Boost is the one that wanted to go lower end on the phone. And that's exactly what LG did, they pretty much cut the specs right and half. The T-Mobile version ( which is the one that I have and I love it dearly) of the Stylo is badass. 16 gigs internal storage 2 gigs of RAM NFC with all the bells and whistles including a laser-guided camera. I'd be pissed too if I have a cut in half Boost phone! :-)

I got this phone about two months ago. I love it and it works great. The only thing is that the screen is starting to flicker. It did this two time before i figured out how to fix it. I turned the screen brightness all the way down and took the battery out for about 10 minutes. That worked but only for a few days. It started flickering again just a few minutes ago. Does anyone know of a better fix? Please help!!! Metro told me to bring it in asap if it happens again but i would have to pay $15. I know thats not that bad but my parents dont have that kind of money. Help!!!

Limited internal memory, some things move to the sd card, some don't. Bigger internal memory would make this phone amazing.

Worst phone I've ever owned. Really slow if you don't reset every day. The phone will not ring if you are listening to music. LG customer support is the worst. The dual window is a joke. It is only 8gb with 5.3gb of OS and bloat ware. It is very picky about external SD cards, often times unmounting the sd card moments after inserting. My Moto G was much better even without 4G/LTE. I'll never buy an LG product again because of this phone and their bad customer support, not a TV, not a dishwasher. I might buy LG toilet paper just so I can wipe my butt with their logo.

I was lucky enough to buy this phone at a store where the girl who worked there had one and told me not to do the software update. So no flickering and other problems there. It's running Marshmallow with no problem which I like far better than Lollipop. As far as performance, my biggest complaint is that it can be a little sluggish at times, but nothing I can't deal with. If you want to use any apps, SD card is a must. The 1 gig of ram sucks, but so far no major issues.

The first one I bought messed up within a couple of hours. It would bring the notification thing down every couple of seconds. I got it replaced and everything seemed fine for a couple of weeks. I have a huge memory card but can't download more then a couple of apps because it tells me theres no room on the memory card even though there is. When I try to download a new app it removes another one randomly. Definitely wouldn't buy this again!

For the flickering/screen problems I have narrowed the problem down to overheating. For some reason all of the google services seem to make the phone overheat, my screen actually touches itself when it gets really warm. My solution was to disable every app possible including all of googles and not sign in at all with google. I download necessary apps from apk4fun website and access youtube from the browser. The phone is actually usable now.

I've had this phone for about a month now and the speaker is already broken. Not only that but for whatever reason every single time that I talk to you on the phone with somebody it hangs up. For the first 3 months, my LG Stylo from Sprint worked like a charm. No complaints. In fact, I began to think I relied on it to heavily. Then one day I saw that the Stylo wanted to 'update'. Stupidly, stupidly, I allowed it. Thereafter, I just as well have a PayGo phone from a convenience store. I have to direct the phone to do the simplest of tasks, most annoying is constantly updating the driver so I can link it to the computer. In pristine condition for the first few months, the phone looks like it's been chucked across the room, or slammed onto the sidewalk because it has been. An IT friend of mine informed me that Sprint was fined by the U.S. government because this was discovered to be an intentional ploy by Sprint to goad customers into buying expensive contract agreements instead of the promised 'unlimited everything' for $60 a month. Looks like Sprint's at it again. I took the bait by purchasing the telephone, but I'm not going to be suckered into a trap of a 2 year contract with obligatory conversations with someone in a cubicle in Bangalore on a headset with a three ring binder of placation in front of them to read me. I hate you Sprint. I hate your LG Stylo.

I don't feel that there is any store that can help us. We need to talk to LG. I believe the issues came with the latest phone update. I've had my phone since December. Cool breeze. In January, my keyboard started to disappear while I type. It'll force close on my apps. My storage has a mind of its own. Saying it's full, when I still have usage. My screen flickers. It freezes. I normally keep a phone for 2yrs, but this has to go.

The same problem here and more. Seems like 4g data times out on chrome. Full bars and when i reset itll work through first search then times out. Wont load or retrieve. Its not cpu its the speed on chrome only. Netflix streams fine mozilla and metro browser lock out to as if stalls then kicks in. How did new stylo work out zman

Very disappointed with this phone from Metro PCS from the outset. The screen starts vibrating back and forth uncontrollably then just randomly opens different apps without even touching it. I took it back to Metro and they stated it was too many apps, that the wi fi and data were on at the same time and other BS reasons why this was happening. I did everything they suggested and the issue continues to keep happening. I've had many phones and none of the other phones had any issues like this junky phone. Bottom line is they have ordered me another Stylo in an exchange and if the new one does the same thing I'm going to use the new Stylo as a paperweight.

Did you try pressing forget under the selection wifi.. Like where it says connect, it should also say cancel and forget.. I suggest forgetting it and then re-enter the wifi plus password. If it hasn't cleared up by now, it sounds to me like a manufacturer issue a d your phone should be replaced...

I currently work for Boost Mobile,the LG G stylo was by far my biggest seller, recently since the new software update came out. I have seen the following problems.. Screen blinking, closing apps for no reason, keyboard disappearing, certain apps not running correctly.. No internet.. I just wanted to let everyone know that it's not their fault.. From what I heard, lgis supposedtobe sending out new software to clear all these issues up

I made a HUGE mistake in buying this phone. I was going to get the Note 5 but decided to be cheap and get the LG G Stylo. I have problems with the keyboard not staying up while I'm typing, dual window doesn't work properly, lags when getting back to my home screen. Don't even start about how I might have too many apps installed because I never have any space. 1GB is crap. I will never again leave the Note family. I am regretting that I did.

When ever I'm on an app for more than 5 min and get to home it takes like 5 sec to get back to home. It's a long delay. Also even tho it has about a gig of ram it takes about ten secs to load apps from the recent apps screen.otherwise it's fast and reliable. If there are solution to these problems please reply

Bought the Stylo about 2 weeks and while most of it is fine, there's a jarring problem that Metro PCS can't fix for me... the damn thing's Wi-FI doesn't work. Regardless of which wi-fi network i'm connected to, if I reset, clear cache, or even cleared the phone and reset everything, Wi-fi just slows down and switches off to the 4G network. Everything else works fine, older phones, tablets, PC's, but this phone. When the Wi-fi DOES work, it gives me a stunning 128K per second. Since I've tested the phone repeatedly, Metro's answer is a shrug. Soon, I will contact LG and I'll come back and let you know if it pans out at all.

Purchased the Lg Stylo aproximently 3 weeks ago. First I could not receive any group texts or attachments. They stated it was the phone and a new one was given to me- that one had the same problem. After 1 1/2 hours at the phone store, they contacted LG and was informed that there was a virus w/ some update alert from LG upon the phone being activated that was causing the texting issues. They did a factory reset on the phone and it was fine for about one week then it started happening again after I cleared out some old text messages. Contacted support- they worked with me over the phone. Yesterday, I dropped calls all day despite all of my locations being normal routine. I also had two different ocations where the touch screen locked up on me and I couldn't oporate the phone or even answer calls. Today I am again dropping calls like crazy. Can't talk to Customer Service becuase the call won't stay connected long enough! Very disapointed in this new phone. I have carried LG's for many years and this is the first product that I can honestly say I fully regret purchasing.

Ive got my lg g4 phone about 6 months and not really had issues maybe one or two calls that went to voice mail and me not knowing about it , even when theyd tell me they left me a voice mail I did not have either notifications of missed call or voice mail till days later it gave a notification. My husband and I both got our LG Stylos at the same time...about 3 weeks ago. We both don't get notifications of text most of the time. My major concern is that yesterday my phone read voicemail pending....tap to call. When I did, it was a voicemail dated for 2 and a half weeks ago! What if there was an emergency? Would I get the message 3 weeks after the fact? Also, we both have sent each other text and never received them or they keep downloading and never finish! Save your money and get a cheaper phone!!!

According to the user guide you can only gonas high 32gb sd but idk thats boost mobile for you shitty 7 years ago and nothings changed but i only seem to have pronlems when using boost apps i looged in online and the axcount address was citu:lomdon state:kentucky country:usa with a uk flag then got a text saying $25 was crediited to accoount for refer a friend and didnt do that got to the store i got it at and the girl says its a default address and she did the referral sketchy af the phone was around $120 or so they dont give away $25 for no reson somethings weird about that then i go to my car and call boost support and it sounded identical to the lady in the store

My husband I both got our phones about 6 months ago. Just recently we have had problems with our text messaging and fb messenger. The text messaging will not notify me that I have a message, I will have to physically go to messaging and then it will pop up as a un read message but my phone will never go off. If it doesn't do that then I will never receive the message that people are telling me they sent. Fb messenger I will not get until I go to fb and see that I have a unread message but again no notification to my phone saying I got a message. Has anyone else had this problem?

I am not an expert so take this with a grain of salt. I am tech savvy though and have experienced these things and done some research. I have a LG G stylo. The stylo is rated at around 1GB of RAM memory and around 8GB of internal stroage. Part of this storage is partitioned out for downloads. This partition is required to run the apps. When you are moving the app to the memory card, you are only moving the portion of the app that is additional memory. It does not move the portion needed to run the app in the partition, so you will still run out of storage space when the partition is full. The external memory is only good for images, music, downloads, videos, etc. If your looking install alot of apps on your phone, you will need to find a phone with larger internal storage. They have a much larger partition for running apps.

Install a 128 gb or 64 Gb sd card and the go to the apps menu under settings and click on each app and click "move to external sd card" then go to camera settings and set it to "Save pictures to exturnal sd card" then go to gallery and click "move pictures to exturnal sd card" You will have tons of space then. And remember it's not a problem with the phone, is that you dont know how to use or put in a sd card. Remember you can switch 128 gb sd cards anxd have unlimited space!

So I had the same problem of the flickering on my phone as well and what I did to fix it is that I dimmed my phone down completely and restarted it about 4 times. Eventually I just left my phone alone for roughly 30 minutes. Bam, phone back to normal. Im hoping this works for everyone else and didnt happen to be coincidence because I dont feel like returning the current phone and wait for a replacement or spend more on a better phone. Hello! If youre trying to stream 720p and it buffers it might be your internet. Before I got broadband I couldn't even load HD videos on YouTube with dsl. So it might just be that your internet speed is not fast enough to buffer the video in a few seconds in HD. Rest assured, it's not the phone.

Mine was acting up big time yesterday! All morning it was flickering. And I never noticed until yesterday when I was on Amazon browsing for about 30 minutes I noticed there was some minor image retention burn in when I pulled the notification menu down. I did a battery pull and another factory reset. I decided to call customer service and ask for an exchange. So i have a Metro Lg Stylo with that i still have the 50$ promotional plan now i never really had trouble with watching videos until a few months ago when i went from "Android" to "Windows" phone where the video would start to buffer "and the lack of apps on the windows phone but they fixed that" now i have a LG Stylo but when ever i try to watch anything on 720p it will play for like 5 seconds then buffer for a long time i never really bother to try and call them ip about it even after all these months (social anxiety plus i dont want to sound like an idiot over the phone) i dont think its the phone it self because well like i said before this isnt just happening on my LG Stylo but it also happend on my Windows phone but before that when i had mybother LG phone i never experienced any buffering on youtube and yes i had the 50$ promotional plan at the time as well should i give them a call about this or is this a waste of time?

I've had this phone for a week with Sprint, and it was great the first 3-4 days. When I woke up (Yep, it started to mess up at the beginning of the day) it was telling me I didn't have enough storage to update my apps. So naturally, I decided to put them on m SD card. While doing that, it kept telling me "This app does not exist". Eventually I gave up. Now, it's at the week mark, and I was using it when I woke up - no issues. maybe a hour later, I turn it back on, and now there is a grey outline around the screen and the screen is flickering like crazy. I booted it into recovery mode, and it was still flickering which leads me to think it's software related. I *did* enjoy this phone, but I don't recommend it for the easily frustrated. I guess I'll jut wait for Marshmallow to see if it's fixes it. Also thanks to those who had the same issues, I know it's frustrating but it was comforting seeing people having the same issues as me (just to show I'm *not* going crazy.)

I think you're right on this one, this is my 3rd straight replacement as well. I bought this phone originally last month as an upgrade, took it back the same day because I noticed dead pixels and the screen flicker. Then my second one was okay and then after a while the same screen flicker. The 3rd one is the exact same! All of them had the screen flicker issue. I'm just waiting till marshmallow drops I believe it is a software bug as well. Love the phone, but I hope this gets worked out! The screen flicker goes away after a few minutes but its definitely annoying when it pops up. It happens to me whenever I go to my "recent apps" list I notice when its present towards the bottom but it clears up.

I think it is a software bug because I've had my stylo for almost a month and this is the 3rd straight replacement I've had and it's still flickering. It usually goes away after a while but I hope the marshmallow update fixes this.

Just had the same issue with flickering screen a month after purchase. Everything works well, text, data, calling. Screen just flickers. It was the first time i charged the phone using the supplied charger since i purchased the phone. I woke in the morning to unplug it and found the screen flickering. Called customer service and in the process of trouble shooting and them deciding to have me send it in, i noticed it was subsiding some with each restart. Put the brightness on full and left alone until screen saver came on then restarted the phone. Did this about 5 times. Thought maybe whatever was happening just needed some kinks worked out. I also spent time using the phone watching videos, kinda like erasing a tv's burn in image, thought maybe the screen needed to just run for a bit. Did i fix it? Not sure if it was me but my screen is fine now. I have a suspicion that the factory charger allowed the battery to over charge or something along those lines and that in turn messes with the phone. Take it for what its worth but my phone is working great now.Oh and it wasn't caused by aftermarket apps because it was doing it in safe mode as well

So my 2nd phone doing the Exact same thing as first. Runs out of storage space even though every file possible is transferred to SD card. Do not buy this phone, unless you can Root it and are comfortable doing so to modify your phones internal software and what have you.

I had mine 2 days and it started the flickering and I freaked out. I finally got rid of it after trying these three things. First I factory restored then update firmware. It was still flickering after these 2 things. So I did some more research online and it talked about software causing it. I deleted all the apps that were pre-installed on the phone. It stopped doing it after I deleted the whether app. Now its working fine again and no flickering. I guess I'll just have to watch what I download. I hope this helps someone.

I've had mine for a week and the screen is flickering like crazy. It was fine one minute and then just started doing it. It still flickers when I dim the screen, it's just harder to tell.

I've had a MetroPCS Stylo for a few months now. My issue was screen touch recognition, which was fine until it started to ignore a finger or a stylus now and then, and then more often, and then it became impossible to use the phone at all. The only way to turn it off was to remove the battery, because the touch screen wasn't accepting any input. I took the screen protector off, that made no difference. I Googled around for this and found there's a known issue with this phone, and LG are "looking into it" though they don't know why it's happening. Over the last hour or so it started generally misbehaving, and went into Safe Mode on its own, notations stopped working, so on and so forth. This all happened over about a week in all. The phone had been rooted ages ago, there hadn't been any issues with doing that, but I looked around for a way to reinstall Android and reset without losing anything, and I found this page: I'm not an Android expert so don't ask me why this works, and YMMV. But I followed the instructions, it's a very simple procedure. I presume - I know nothing about these things - that it's possible to do this with a non-rooted phone but you'd need to check that one out. The phone rebooted, and since then, I've had no trouble at all. The screen now recognizes every touch. I've no idea how long this will work, but the phone has had several hours of use and seems fine. Hopefully this will be useful to others having the same issue, or who just want a clean operating system.

I got my 64gb SD card at sears. And for an update: I now have my 2nd LG GStylo. This one updated differently upon initial startup. Not sure if that has anything to do with anything but, only time will tell. If I remember to come back here I will update and let this post know if this 2nd doesnt have same problem as the 1st.

I have the well hope so the current version of LG G Stylo which comes with 16gb of storage and 128gb expendable storage and 2gb of ram. It is not a sluggish phone and so far I am loving it!

Jay! Ive had an LG G Stylo for several weeks now and have HAD to factory reset it 3 to 4 times. I have a 64GB SD card and have closely monitored every single file downloaded and transferred every possible file to SD card. Regardless of what anyone tells you, there is absolutely nothing you can do to prevent "System Data" in your storage under "Misc." from eventually climbing upwards of 6GB and causing your internal storage to run out. Even deleting apps/cache/data will sometimes increase it!! I could not find any information at all on rooting these phones under cricketwireless. Which could be the only way to get around this problem. My only option is to file a warranty claim and receive a new device free of charge and hope the 2nd one doesnt have the same issue. I read someone on another forum with the same issue as me and you, he eventually got a 2nd one and the issue no longer occurred. I've always liked LG product but if this 2nd one has the same problem it will leave a very very bad taste in my mouth. I love the phone for the price. Its great. I just hope we got defective ones. If not, Samsung here I come.

Can you help me? I love love my stylo. But the lack of space is frustrating me. I have an 8 gig sd card in my phone atm. And I have transferred everything I could to the sd card and like right now I have nearly a full phone and a nearly empty card.... I am constantly having to clear just the cach, texts, call log and other barely unused apps. Just so I can be sure and not miss out on incoming texts.... Please help me?

Your problems are software related. Low memory and apps/games can cause conflicts with your entire phone. Remove all 3rd party apps, back up your phone and save all media, then factory reset the phone. Problems will be fixed...then sliwly add apps back 1 at a time so you can watch for any problems related to a specific app.

I've had this phone since July. It's been nothing but a headache. I'm getting constant (several times a day) hard freezes that last several minutes at a time. Also, the phone has started to reset itself for no apparent reason. I do love the screen and if it weren't for the issues I've been having this phone would be a 10/10. As others have mentioned this phone does have great battery life. It's relatively inexpensive for a screen this size. However, if I had known about the issues I'm currently having, I would have paid the extra cash and gotten a different phone. With phone's current issues it's a 4/10 for me. I would not recommend this phone to anyone.

I have this phone on Boost Mobile. Haven't had any problems with it. Battery life is above and beyond any phone I've ever had, and I've had many, MANY phones. Apps and games work fine. Snappy UI.

I got the T Mobile GSM version of this phone.. LOVE IT.. Lag is almost nonexistant, fast downloads, great reception. Beautiful phone with standards way above adverage. The best part $199.00 at Walmart stores. TMobile stores still charging abot $300. I give this phone a 9/10 ⭐'s would take this over ANY Samsung Galaxy phone battery life CANNOT be beat.Would give a 10/10 ⭐ but doesn't come in colors😞. Othwewise 100% happy customer good work LG!!!

I have the same problem on my lg g stylo that i got from metro pcs. The speaker doesnt work, so i cant hear sound when watching videos or when my phone is suppoused to ring.I already took it back once and all the salesperson could do is hard reset the phone. But the problem continues. Did you figure out what the problem was? I might be taking it back and getting something else.

I have had great experience with my MetroPCS LG G Stylo. The only problem that i have encountered is when i make a phone call to an office or business where you have to TOUCH ONE FOR ENGLISH or ENTER YOUR BUS STOP ID NUMBER etc. The Screen will go black/blank for 1 or 2 seconds before you can enter the entire 4 digit access code to retrieve your telephone messages etc. The screen saver should not go black for 2 minutes (settings for 30 seconds to 2 minutes), except when i am making a phone call. It does not slowly fade as the screen saver does. It just blinks on and off for 0.5 seconds to 3 seconds. This Deffinately looks like a manufacturing defect, but has anybody else experienced a simular problem? If nobody else has the same problem, then maybe i can repair or replace it? I tried re-setting the screen sensitivity per Cust Serv Tech help from LG, with no success. The screen does not have problems blinking during any other functions.

The t-mobile / metropcs version is better spec'd. It comes with a 16MB Rom, 2GB Ram, and a 13MP camera. I haven't noticed any lag on mine.

Really disgruntled consumer. LG has always been a reputable company but the Stylo has fallen far from the companies quality product namesake. Extreme lags ( anywhere from 3 sec to 15 sec) on in phone apps ( calendar, clock, etc.) and amazingly long lags on 3rd party apps ( 8 sec- 25 sec). constant freeze ups and system failure/shutdowns. For the same money, the ZTE MAX ( on jellybean o.s.) has twice the speed & next to zero issues compared to the Stylo.

I've had this phone for a few days and really like it so far. It's from T-Mobile so the specs are a little different than mentioned above. The camera is 12 MP (and 5 MP front-facing is same) plus 2 GB ram and 16 GB rom. It's super responsive while launching and changing apps. Great pics. I'd recommend it for $12/mo for sure. Upgraded from LG L90 and the only thing I'm missing from that is silent mode option to turn ringer off/on automatically at designated times.

Yes its indeed aweful and pathetic that a 5.7" phablet in 2015 will spot anything as crappy as this.....in the previous Spec review done by GSM Arena last month (April),we were told that the phone had a 5.7" IPS LCD display with 258ppi density. A 16GB ROM and 2GB RAM,13mp rear camera with OIS,HDR,face detection and paranoma,then also laced with a 5mp selfie shot........when I saw all of that,what just came to my mind was that "ok,its a mid ranged device"...and we would tolerate its 720x1280p resolution even though it could had at least housed a 1080p,and the nice IPS LCD screen could at least add some degree of colour and brightness to its low 258ppi....But now this month,the specs have all seemed to worsen....brought down to NOTHING!....so now its just way too crappy to belong to these times,so I'd say LG should either send that thing back into the 2011 smartphone era,or just brace up for high loss from exreemly low sales...#Touche!
