Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 - User Reviews

  • may i use it to make and receive voice calls?

  • What's the price and from where can I buy this Can I buy this online kindly then share me the link

  • is this good for playing Mobile Legends

  • Wow, if that's all you see then there's no pleasing you. It's a tablet, dude...are you using it as much as your phone? Do you need to charge it up in the morning before you go to work? the thing last a LONG time. Easily get 5 hours of SoT. I rooted it, installed Havoc OS Pie and it rocks! best tablet for the money, and it charges at a decent rate so... Don't knock it till you try it.

  • Nope... Just crappy 10 watt charging

  • good tablet for the price. got mine with Chinese ROM. Installed Google Play aand all other Google Apps - works perfect. Use this as an ebook reader and browser. Also great for emulators - playing PSP games like it was 2006:)

  • doesn't have Google Play homologation, get away. Rom chinese only. Xiaomi pad never more.

  • Does this tablet support a faster charging?

  • Just install to eu ROM it will solved the problem

  • Why they don't launch the mi pad 5 at all? Is already 2 months still not reveal the mi pad. New Mi max is already end of launching. Did new mi pad also end as well???

  • Both at the Bottom.. Clarity is Avg

  • Why? My phone has Snapdragon 625 only it has high frame rate option with it. ?????????

  • no

  • Hi,does this tab support high frame rate mode in mobile legends?

  • Bottom, left and right

  • where is stereo speakers placement? both on bottom or top and bottom?

  • is mi pad 4 still relevent to buy in this year? or is a chance xiaomi gonna make mi pad 5?

  • HonorBuy is my best experience for EU online sellers. I have a chinese Mi Max 3 (6/128) from them : fast and reliable, delivered in 2 days (DHL). Changed to Xiaomi.eu with no problem (official chinese ROM, no fake ROM). I ordered yesterday a Mi Pad 4 (4/64) chinese version, with a -5€ coupon. It have just been shipped, less than 24h later. I will put Xiaomi.eu too on it.

  • no

  • Yellow spot near all corners dunno what happen, never had phone or tablet with yellow spot issue before this.

  • help me, guys you heard from loudspeaker some buzz sound ? or its Normal

  • Does the LTE version Mi Pad 4 support 3G/2G networks? What I mean is if I have no WiFi or 4G coverage, will the Mi Pad 4 run on cellular 3G or 2G network? Actual users, plz reply.

  • Actually, this link...

  • Does it have scratch resistant display? Anybody?

  • Does it have scratch resistant display? Anybody?

  • Hope this link helps you.

  • Yes, Mi Pad 4 LTE support calls, but only through VoLTE. But, with MIUI ROM(Multi-Language, ver. MIUI 10.1.1.0), it is not allowing VoLTE calls or SMS. So, if your carrier support calls through VoLTE(carrier support needed), and you still want to use VoLTE, then you can flash AEX ROM or PixelExperience ROM. I have tried both of these ROMs, and both support calls through VoLTE and SMS. Also, you can send SMS even if your carrier doesn't support VoLTE on Custom ROMs. Hopes this helps.

  • Just buy it from Ali Express..using ali expres standard shiping..ya chinese room suport OTA and can instal goggle play

  • Can someone recommend a reliable EU based online seller for this tablet (it's not available in my country)? Honorbuy e-shop has some negative reviews so I don't want to take any risk. Also, I've heard that the global multi-language version doesn't support OTA updates. Is it possible to install Google services on the Chinese one and how much of a hassle is it?

  • You wrong

  • I also have a mind to buy it. But first, I have to be sure that it can play NetFlix. Users, please help.

  • It is support playing netflix. But if im not wrong i seen a review that show that it can only play 480p res. Not full hd or hd. Let me know if im wrong. I havent bought it but plan to. And in my country 2e cant use netflix.

  • No gyro sensor for mi pad 4

  • Giro isn't function on pubg...3g ram32

  • No

  • Good news Plebians. I'm using the LTE + Wifi version, i used 128gb of storage with exFat format. i repeat, exFAT is supported.

  • I got GPS and wireless display problem.

  • Does it have HDMI output?

  • Serious? Why is not support while playing Netflix?

  • I love watching Netflix does anybody here has a problem with watching Netflix? As i have seen that Mi Pad 4 is not supporting HD graphics due to copy rights?

  • 10W

  • 3day use..i Order china version n instal google play.until now it ok instal more app ...i took it just for watch movie n save photo n put micro sd 128G in it...My main phone Mi Max2 over ayear use still a monster bargain buy

  • Gaming Mode not working mi pad 4 LTE ..... or just mine mi pad???

  • Can anyone confirm that mi pad 4 supports quick charge? and does it need a quick charger or something?

  • I bought it online to México. It took 1 Month to arrive but I can tell you its a really good tablet. Only you have to install the google app which is really easy. The quality of the tablet its amazing I wasnt expecting this.

  • Look on Youtube. It will tell you how to install Google Play.

  • Syorage is expandable since it has an SD card slot. Both my SanDisk and Samsung SD cards worked.

  • I like this Mi Pad 4! As usual, Xiaomi is consistent in releasing awesome devices that every individual will surely love. I've been using Xiaomi awhile now and I truly loved the experience. Their devices are inexpensive but with great features and durable build quality. Xiaomi doesn't advertise their product that much that's why the cost of the devices are way lower compared with those other brands that are willing to pay for more just to advertise, thus, making the prices expensive! good Job siomai! more power!

  • it's in chinese, but the video should help

  • just how do you get through to download google play, i,m stuck here, can´t go nowhere..help

  • Storage is not expandable

  • Can this run on ATT in the USA?

  • Apkpure

  • I have this and love it. After changing the keyboard and installing google play it is awesome. There is nothing on this that I wish was better. (Except maybe pen input)

  • By the stats it seems to be a really nice tablet. I mean 6000mAh battery. 4gb RAM and 64gb storage. And nice android version nice processor. But I don't know how chinese brands are with tablets

  • Does anyone know how to install ragnarok m in the device?..

  • Mine is having a weird and considered annoying sound from the speaker port, but I believe it isn't the speaker's sound, it is more to processor or else's sound. I don't know why, but it's quote noticable... Also, I found my tablet laggy when scrolling through youtube or 9gag, but everything else is okay

  • they r saying tomoorrww om hoping too

  • When it available in India. Anyone knows Please reply fast Thanks

  • Not for me with the small screen.

  • Yes

  • LTE model has it

  • i bought 3/32 wifi only and has micro sd slot

  • is this have sim slot? if none, what unit have sim slot. Thanks

  • can memory card be used as additional memory?reply at the earliest

  • For its specs yes it sounds like a very good deal for its price. But there is no official global/international version, it doesnt come with the Google Play Store and seemingly no support for Chromecast.

  • Hi. Xiaomi and Huawei devices are high end made of. Better materials and hardware. On the other, i have Lenovo tab3 Plus 8, that is a great fast device with Snapdragon. Very loud dual speakers, notification led light, amazing battery life and screen. But, the new Xiaomi mi pad 4 with Snapdragon 660 and 4gb ram and 6000 battery, double tap wake screen, dual speakers.....must be a value for money at 200$!!!!

  • I need to know...In your opinion between Huawei (with their Media Pad tablets), Lenovo (with Tab 4 lineup) and the Xiaomi (Mi Pad 4) which company would you consider is doing more initiative in releasing updates (security, major Android updates, etc.) more quicker, more often and more longer?

  • nope

  • Can fortnite work on it?

  • Huawei mate 20x, best match for this and is even longer than 2:1. If the smartphone is cross over the 7 inch, will be consider a tablet. E.g: Nexus 7 2013 7.02 inch, Asus fonepad 8 8.0 inch and huawei mate 20x 7.2 inch.

  • But a lesser ppi

  • touch screen not working after a few days

  • OTG data transfer support?

  • Yes and no. It's pretty standard these days to name aspect ratios in a manner that compare to other aspect ratios. 16:9 compares well to 16:10 (8:5 if we're being particular), and also compares well to 21:9 (7:3 if we're being particular). Of course, if we wanna get really pedantic, the 'correct' way to label screen ratios is 'height=1', so 16:9 is 1.77:1, 16:10 is 1.6:1, and 21:9 is 2.33:1.

  • is its front camera is good for video calling..??

  • Can this device play 10bit video? I googled sd660 playback capabilities, some say can some say cannot which make me confused. I want to buy this tab for reading digital manga and watching high quality anime (all HQ anime nowadays are encoded in 10bit). Please someone who owned this tab confirm it.

  • add gold colour!!!!!

  • You mentioned 'qui', is it that this pad doesn't have quick user interface or what does it mean?

  • Nice tablet for its price range. Got mine used 8" 64GB with LTE for 204 dollar. Downside : -camera , basically crap like those on symbian nokia's. -no screen coating (got lots minor scratch for half day use without screen protector) -no quick charging, time required for charging 6k battery is no joke -dunno of mine is defect. Type C port kinda wobble Thumbs up for its price for value, I played pubgm till chicken dinner without throttling like MI5 with 820, played mobile legend smoothly while my friend with s8 throttling like mad on 20-ish minute gameplay. It's not too big, and not too small. I can still browse with one hand, except typing on it

  • Go for Mi Pad 4 Plus. Larger screen (10.1 inch). Bigger battery (8620 mAh). And fingerprint reader on the front.

  • Talk about ipad, yeah I'm thinking to take that too.. But pocophone is nice also.. I will consider between this two devices.. Thank you.

  • Heavy gamer? Probably should opt for ipad 2018. Because imo mi pad 4 is for light gaming in which you have to set a slightly lower setting (medium setting?) for games. Also assuming that all the game you mentioned are from google play store? Out from the box this tablet doesn't support google play store unless you follow some steps stated in the xiaomi forum. But if you're leaning towards android device, probably you should take a look on Xiaomi Pocophone F1.

  • Hai, I'm still confused which one to buy... Between this pad and redmi mi max/note 5/a2 lite.. I'm a heavy gamers... Like PUBG, Mobile legends, Marvel FF, War robot, asphalt, seven knights... I heard this mi pad 4 is very good for gaming.. Should i buy this? Pls give a comment or opinion... Thanks.

  • This is a good tablet for this price point, I mean at the new Ipad 2018 price point there's barely any tablet out there can compete new Ipad 2018 in terms of performance. But this is almost half of the new Ipad 2018 of the price (350EUR vs 180EUR), and the performance wasn't fold into half in real world experience. Some may said it's unfair to compare the 9.7 inch new Ipad 2018 to Mi Pad 4, but apple didn't released any new 8 inch model atm so this is the cheapest I could get to compared. But there's one major drawback of this tablet, it's china rom so you doesn't have google play store in it (no official global rom too). But you can install the google play store yourself which required a few simple steps. Just some advice though, for those who're tight with budget and a fan of 8 inch model just go for this tablet.

  • I got mine today so far so good...currently I'm using it for reading comics and manga and guys it's perfect for reading comics and reading manga screen brightness and colour content fluid not good as amoled but for me fhd screen for reading is heaven in eyes... Recommended for comic nerd and manga reader to buy this tablet

  • Available in imphal....Manipur

  • Please Launch In India. I want that one. I am looking for a 8 inch Tab with good specifications for a long time. Finally It's here.

  • VoLte supported ..?

  • Shouldn't 16:10 aspect ratio be called 8:5?

  • i ordered mi a2 and cancel because i had to buy mi pad 4, cant wait for this entertainment pandora, am so excited to buy this i never had a tablet this will be my first :) and its confirm to launch in sep around 26th andit will be sale after some days i guess just like mi a2

  • According to this: (post #2, and #4) the Mi Pad 4 has a microSD slot.

  • for 3+32gb can insert sd card or not please confirm

  • When it will launch in india, Please confirm

  • mostly likely, yes

  • Got mine device. It is LTE and 64GB microSD card is working fine. Sound is good on either headphones or speakers. A little bit heavy because the battery. MIUI needs some fixes. I think in nearest future it will be great tablet. No point to buy/wait iPAD mini

  • face unlock

  • if i buy china version then the global rom came out, can i manually change it to global rom version?

  • yes, SD card have. i just bought 65 GB LTE from HK. Need to install google play. The only issue is the widget still can not work. If all works, then this tablet is perfect !!

  • Yes it does

  • does not support sdcard

  • It's a calling pad or just pad ???

  • What microSD cards supported?

  • Does Mi Pad 4 also has Global ROM and Chinese ROM like Xiaomi phones?

  • Availability in India ???

  • It has microSD card slot in both wifi and LTE models. Confirmed.

  • Snapdragon - AnTuTu: 820 - 140 000 660 - 110 000 810 - 80 000 Mi Pad 4 is great.

  • How come that this new model does not have fingerprint sensor? I have a Mi Pad3 and this new model brings no relevant added value to the user... come on, where is that old Xiaomi brand excelence?!

  • Yep. It’s OTg ready even for HDD since mi pad 1.

  • OTG capability?

  • not so

  • I'm in for buying a new tablet but I mainly use it in direct sunlight (outside in hot weather or even on the bus). Can anyone tell me how the Mi pad 4 holds up in direct sunlight? What could I compare it to?

  • Does this support true voice call? GSM/3G or VoLTE?

  • No global rom and primarily DRM support are both deal breakers for me. The hardware is nice though so for anything else other than Netflix, it's a really good tablet for the price.

  • 330 euro - 180 euro = 50 usd ©Some genius

  • OTG ready?

  • also want to know about sound quality (speakers, headphones). Can owners comment please? thanks

  • Decided not buying this after see the price of Mediapad M5 only cost approx 50USD more.

  • Is the sound quality good?

  • Aliexpress

  • I am from India ..plz tell me where can I buy this tab?

  • I wonder why xiaomi never include a fingerprint scener in mi pad series, and why they remove sd slot after mi pad 1?

  • Why No LTE Version Available globally?

  • For European market I recommend honorbuy, here: It's also on sale now :D

  • Help me friends, where & when I can buy it.?

  • I think this does have a microSD card slot, some unboxing videos on YouTube show it. If the LTE version sells in the US for $230, I think it will be a huge hit, I know I will buy one at or near that price.

  • I watch some unboxing video on youtube, and this tablet has memory card slot.

  • No card slot? That's pretty lame for a tablet. Best form factor I've seen is still the 2014 Samsung Tab S 8.4. Only thing is no dual slot and bands for USA or Asia but not both. Also considering the Huawei MediaPad M5 but no dual slot.

  • can i text and call on this tab?

  • its sharper than the ipad pros. but the display is worse in color reproduction

  • What’s xiaomi ?! A copy machine ?! These things can’t even compare with iPads. Those are best.

  • Not the xiaomi mi pad 4. Mi pad 4 are 16:10.

  • Maybe foldable smartphones, could be possible to have 2:1 in the world.

  • 1. Snapdragon 660 is good enough for most high graphic games at this time but I highly reccommend using ipad 2017 instead of the Mi pad 2. 283 ppi is a bit higher than your 2017 ipad( 264 ppi) but xiaomi's display is slightly better than apple in my opinion.

  • Snapdragon 660 gaming peformance are alot better than any ipad so far

  • I am about to buy it to use in the place of my iPad 2017 (which is too big for mobile gaming). I'm worried for these things:- 1.Will SD 660 performance will be too low for mobile gaming (MOBA and RPG)? 2.Is 282 PPI too low? Advice please.

  • It have SD card slot

  • LTE model only for chaina, is it true or false?

  • It means there is: 64 GB, 4 GB RAM model with wi-fi AND LTE 64 GB, 4 GB RAM model with wi-fi and NO LTE 32 GB, 3 GB RAM model with wi-fi and NO LTE

  • is 288 ppi sharp ?

  • its mean this model dose not support both LTE(sim card)& WIFI even in 4gb model you must choose between wifi or sim card 32gb model just support wifi. no sim card

  • 64 GB, 4 GB RAM (Wi-Fi or LTE model) or 32 GB, 3 GB RAM (Wi-Fi model) what does it mean? for 4/6GB variant what does it mean "WiFi or LTE model" in 3/32GB variant, what does it mean of WiFi model? does it not support LTE?

  • When will it be available in Bangladesh?

  • Laminated screen or not?

  • What??

  • What kind of stylus?

  • It does...

  • Hopefully it has pen support

  • They said the version with simcard have GPS and gysorcope.

  • Al specs look great, but no radio and gps?

  • Stylus pen support expected. I will be ready to buy, if it can take a note.

  • no radio :(

  • 01) There should be a SD Card Slot for memory expansion since the maximum memory capacity is 64GB. 02) Fast Charging capability should need to enable for this device, since Tablet has always larger capacity battery when compared with the smart phones. Without this feature it'll take much more time to charge the battery for a complete cycle. 03) Battery capacity should need to increase or at-least give a 6600mAh battery like Mi Pad 3 has. 04) Finger Print scanner should need to comes with this device.

  • Correction, Mi Pad 4 has dedicated storage card slot. Whether it supports ex-Fat format is unclear.

  • It's good for watching movies

  • It's very cheap according to the official price within China, just wait until it launches, I feel weird for the missing of rear camera flash light... Really that hard for a tablet to adopt one..? ._.

  • It has 64Gb max😒

  • Will it work with Indian gsm bands? Can we import it from China if so pls tell me from where and the added cost? Because knowing Xiaomi they won't release it in India.

  • It's not 18/9 but 16/10

  • 16:10 actually

  • 128? its very little (((

  • I hope this can be lowcost ipad

  • Why did they go with the 18:9 ratio?? sigh.

  • As long it has an otg support, Im okay with it nit having a micro sd card slot since italready has a big storage

  • I hate the product without SDcard slot. I prefer other like samsung. Moving data from old gadged to new gadged esier and faster.

  • At 128 gb you will not need any bloody slow sd card.

  • Unfortunately for the lack of the SD card slot, etc.

  • 8inch in 4:3 aspect ratio is to small. 16:9 and 16:10 is good for skrin this size, just look at xperia Z3 tablet compact size.

  • where in the world world have you seen 1:2 written for this tablet?

  • Unfortunately, No version of 8GB RAM 256GB ROM

  • 200EUR

  • Everything are seems good, but if this has a finger print scanner it'll be the best tablet among the same price range.

  • 16:10 most of it but what about 17:10 for balancing of tablet ratio between tablet and smartphone ratio? Is it better than 18:9?

  • *16:10 What E-reader do you use? I use UB Reader and that nicely scales to 16:9 on ePUB files on any orientation. The images do get squeezed a little. But no space is wasted. As for doc and pdf files, there will probably be like 1cm(or something around that) thick black bars at the top and bottom, but it's and 8 inch screen. The text will be big enough. And zooming in a little isn't that hard.

  • Whats the point of making 8" tab when its not 4:3? I mostly use mine to read and browse, its awesome on 4:3. But at 16:9, too many screen estate going to be wasted. Especially when you use it as e-reader.

  • its 16:10

  • Its really nice and all, and i'm looking to find replacement for my mipad1 But no microSD. Seriously, this is a media center and no storage expansion option?

  • From picture it is nowhere 18:9, still a 16:9

  • And this i call a BEAST

  • 200$ ????.Is this correct?

  • A 1:2 for a tablet? Well there goes ergonomics. 16:9 for a media oriented device and 4:3 for work oriented is enough for a majority of people. Imagine holding a 1:2 8 inch device in landscape orientation.

  • agree with you. Mi Max 3 will be the biggest screen that can fit inside the pocket easily. It would be a great as "mini tablet".

  • HAHA ! lmao (read before you post)

  • Lmao

  • 0.9 inch is big difference You can compare 5.0 inch phone with 5.9 inch

  • Mi max 3 having 7 inch display, whats the point of releasing 7.9 inch tab. I hoping for 10 inch tab with sd card maybe with 4G support with big bettery. And about camera,i don't think it's important at all.

  • This must have cellular at LTE. and an ir blaster

  • Totally not broken English.

  • Bad choose. Why only 6gb ram 64gb? Mustbe have 4gb version also with 32 or 64... Must have 128gb if no microsd slot. Most good that have microsd slot.. Main memory can be 32gb.. Microsd more cheap and comfortable..
