Philips Xenium 9@9d - User Reviews

  • You can not copy the telephone numbers easly. The menu skills doesnt enough for your necessity

  • Will the 9@9 take my sims card from my old phone the carrier is T-Mobile? I am getting the phone from talking and getting calls don't card if the pictures are bad, plus i am buying for storing phone numbers can this phone dont all that?

  • I bought this phone 3 years ago and still work very well. It is the best phone I ever had.

  • i have been using philips handphones all the time.no other.and the best philips handphone which i have used is the [email protected] is so very reliable.i need another one.can anyone tell me where i can get one and in which country.i've looked everywhere for a new one ,just can't get one.help me out please, anyone.

  • go to bluetooth then select my device, then select discoverable mode.

  • i still have this phone and will be one year in Feb 2009. I like its long life battery, I use it for GPRS by usb or bluetooth connection, I record voices, and take photos of receipts and keep for records. I still like it very much.

  • I have problem with my bluetooth. I cant connect with an other telephone. what I must to do ?????

  • place help i buy 9@9d but it İsn't connect my pc wİth İt cd drİver

  • how reset 909d? codes? thanks!

  • software crash! 30 secs after power -up!

  • hi there, anyone had a similar problem with his phone? 1.the flash from camera stays on all the time 2.the screensaver appear and dissapear very offen. if yes, cau you guide be to a solution? Thans in advance, Mihai

  • It looks beautiful, Classic and strong. One thing that I appreciate is Bluetooth, I set Bluetooth and Bluetooth Headset only one time and the next time I didn't do anything anymore when there is the call, it will transfer bluetooth headset automatically and shut down the bluetooth immediately when the line is off. ( If I remember correctly, I set the bluetooth "in line only" sorry if I inform wrong. I stay in Thailand, Have you ever come to my country?

  • I want to buy this phone, but is it true, that these phone have an amazing battery capability?? does anyone can give some advice for me? before i buy it?

  • thats hott. end of story! i'm gonna beg for this phone!!

  • It's great. First i bought it, i must recharge it in one week. but that's because i used to call alot and used as a modem. But now, i back to my normal phone life, and its 4 days now and the battery is still full. The bad: Keyboard is too flat, it's hard to write sms. and the response is slow. The phonebook is only choose one, between phone and simcard. its sucks. --

  • I am using this wonderful Philips 9@9d mobile. I have a data cable with my mobile. but I have no software. pls tell me from where i can free download the software for this Philips 9@9d mobile.

  • battery life at my phone is 5 days

  • this phone is great when it comes to battery life (i speak about 1 hour a day, an send and recieve about 50 sms and e-mail), but:) the displays is real poor in comparation with sony ericsson k700i or others phones who have 65000 colors. camera also is very poor, the pictures are really nasty, at 1.3 mega pixels is real bad camera. if you need a phone for business with an exceptional battery life tke it:). i wanna know one thing where is the usb port? can anyone tell me pls?

  • extremely dificult agenda - no different folders, no business field to name... Insterd good battery life and connectivity

  • i will buy this? Is it good enough ?

  • Pros: - The phone looks okay - Battery is good (I charge it once a week for about 2 hours talk and other stuffs (games, etc.) - Bluetooth and IRDa are very helpful Cons: - Keyboard is bad, it is hard to type sms. Much better to use the old Xenium 9@9++ - Camera is not good - Phonebook only allows one field of name (no last name and first name fields)and limited to 12 characters Summary: This phone is good for those who does not like to charge their phone every 2 days and looks for the phone to call only

  • for philips corp: don't leave us [philips cellphone lovers], "xenium 9@9d emang OK Bangets" Thanks & Regards

  • how many sms's can it remember?

  • i just buy this phone this month.for the first charge the battery its very good and the signal too.congratulation to philiphhs for this phone

  • hi guys got the 9@9d, must say first charge got 5days use with very little calls and 3days outstation so was just on but not used. then only two or three days use per charge-talk time approx 5hours. so its better than your average mobile--but NO WAY near the claimed time-and even standby 2 days the battery bar dropped one, so i think a standby of one month is def not possible.one dayyy

  • The phone is really great - but the display is really flickering - not just at low battery, everytime except when plugged. But anyway, the standby time is absolutely overwhelming

  • This phone have mp3 ringtones?

  • Do anyone knows something about about the problems, this phone has? (I heard something about flipping screen when batery is low)

  • I own this phone for three weeks. I can only say this: Folks, this phone is the best phone ever made. Excellent reception quality (in some shadow areas where the others hasn't got network at all, this phone simply rocks.) I am serious, really. Camera's quality is average. Battery is amazing. it lasts from 10 to 15 days if you appreciate this phone as phone and not like some toy.

  • maybe nokia and motorola manufacturers can learn something with philips battery manufacturers...

  • outstanding stand by... almost a month.. without charging..!! philips makes best battery

  • I totally agree with Mike. Not to mention that it's the chipest basic phone with a BLUETOOTH! Where else have you seen a bluetooth phone for $130??????

  • STOP THE B.S. PLEASE!!!! Everyone knows very well that 800 MAH batterry never last 200hr-300hr advertised B.S. standby!! Only two days -that's the most! And to me two days is perfect enough!!! Now that we have 1100 mah from Philips (which is not very significant stronger than 800 mah) very low power consuption phone, we can expect 7 days of standby. This is an outstanding result, more than enough!!!!! SO STOP BITCING HERE 850 hr of stanby is not possible even with xenium low power cinsuption ( the batteryy is only 1100 mah!!! not 1600 mah like on panasonic's SA and MX series!!!).

  • FELIX: I can't write in Romanian because the guys from Arena said NO. The phone is OK and I use it with a Cosmote contract (I work for Cosmote). Maybe if I put a Vodafone or Orange SIM the S-By will be better because they have a better network coverage. I'm thinking of putting in my Vodafone SIM, but this means that I have to charge my SE W800 once a day and I need the Cosmote because it is my work number. In my vacation (hope it will come soon) I'll put the Voda into the 9@9d and I'll post another comment. Have a nice day all of u!!! killer (klr)

  • I just bought this phone yesterday. anybody wants to use a phone just for talking I definitly recommend Philips. Long battery life never leaves you without a battery dead. Philips has basic needs that a person needs from a phone.I have to say that the camera is suck. But I didnot buy this phone for its camera. I bought it for its long battery life. I would use the camera if I needed. Otherwise camera is suck. Bluetooth function is very usable.Whoever got this phone please enjoy the phone.

  • its the best phone i charged it two weeks ago and it stll has full battery

  • EVERYBODY has to know that ANY phone (including those with LiIon battery) has to pass the first 3 cycles of full discharge-charge, to reach maximum of the battery! Also, ANY device connected or started on the phone get more power from the battery, and I believe the top is like that: 1. Camera 2. Bluetooth 3. GPRS 4. vibration Even a simple cable (either hands free or PC connect) get power from the battery, not to say about various conditions about network coverage!!! BTW, that guy from Romania, which said that he has a 7 days stand-by and 5 hours talk time with Bluetooth activated, should come back after a full recharge and nothing else started or connected to the phone, only talk, to say how long the stand by and talk time in those conditions! Other ways, I believe that 5 hours of talk time is VERY GOOD in practice, and if those where via Bluetooth headset, then I have to say is EXTRAORDINARY GOOD, and I think without BT will be around 7-8 hours talk! Chiar asi fi curios sa ne mai impartasesti ceva experiente cu acest telefon!

  • sorry guys but this phone has a li-ion 1100mah

  • A good phone with one exception:the keyboard is awfull, that s the only bad thing i guess of this beutiful phone.Excellent job Philips except keyboard.

  • Killer, Thank you for the information. I would like to know some more details. Please, contact me, there is my e-mail. I am not sure I have your e-mail. Regards, Nele

  • It it's a good phone. The battery is verry good. Congradulations to Philips. Bravo lor!

  • in Roamnia it has a data cable and a PC Suite, a Hands-free set and it costs around 150 euro without contract and with all taxes. The 850 hours of stand-by are not quite exact. Stand-by+call use (no camera used) with a bluetooth hands-free gave me about 7 days of s-by and around 5 hours of calls

  • it doesen't have a VIDEO camera,only photo camera.

  • Hello, I believe this is the phone I have been searching for the last 5 years! In Serbia isn't possible to buy it yet. If anybody already have this phone or have a chance to get it, please, let me know about the price, quality, accessory ( cables, hands-free ... ). Vlad, could you tell me anything about it? Maybe I even come to Romania to buy it. Thank you all!

  • i sell this phone but the camera is awfull,it doesn't look like as a 1,3 Megapixels, the imaeg is very bad

  • have a philips 650 clamshell like design, the 9@9c and it's standby time is amazing, i no longer remember to charge my phone, or at least it's not a constant worry. now this has a camera and i hope it holds true to it's nominal talk time, it would be bad if it didn't, i might just sell my 650 and get this one, will go to the store and try it on for size :)

  • which are the languages that it supports?

  • i have encountered 4 philips phones, all diff models. they all have given me a garented problem within few months. it is the worst phone brand ever.

  • Excelent phone!Well done Philips...superb design,good features and very,very good battery ...it's an unique phone,I will buy it.Here in Romania is about 150 euro(free).

  • yea nice design. thumbs up for design

  • I have a Xenium phone (9@9 and a 650). for talking and phoning its perfec. supurb yet unbeated standby and talk time! and its tue!!! For gaming or grafics I us a handheld or pc (bigger screen ;). For the rest it does perfecty what it has to do. Easy menu as well, in my opinion. (never had to read the manual in order to use it)

  • nice looking phone, hope Philips improved its proprietary Obigo browser....it is not very reliable, slow etc. also,i hope the menu design has changed...elder models are very poor in graphics... to bad it has no memory card.

  • hmm i'm from holland but i would never ever buy philips it just suck! but wow i didn't know they made good desgn's there.. wow this is 1 damn pritty phone!

  • This Xenium will be for the long memory. No doubt, this is amazing phone. I can only imagine stby. autonomy, but I expect at least 1000 hours. YEAH, that's it! Up the XENIUMs!

  • nice looking phone but 1.3mp? come on its 2006 already!

  • That's nice. Philips needs to work harder on softwares.

  • At last, a Xenium which is a long battery life phone with Bluetooth. Thank you Philips.
