i have this o2xphone iim and everything is perfect.the phone is easy to use after you get use to it but the problem is...i agree with all of you...it hangs!i just need to hit it hard and it will work but im worried that after hitting it,it will spoil.and it takes quite a long time to on it.but...this phone is very useful and i love it!just dont try to hit the phone if it hangs...cos i dont want the blame to be put on me!:)

I have sloved all problem that mentioned arnd here and have no problem with it now, except for those file deleted accidently. The camera is doing it best with wat it is, the audio is quite ok since it is not a walkman phone, can watch AVI file movies with a large screen compare to most other phone and is quite clear, can install others software that can found from thr internet, etc. For loudspeak, keep pressing the green button for few seconds during a call. Send files with bluetooth, download the SmartExplorer frm the internet, simply search with Google. For chinese software, go Though is not a user friendly phone, take long time to go in to Window, and sometimes it hang... IT IS WINDOW!! They r all the same, dun complain bout it coz u should consider bout it b4 buying it. The only problem is the joystick!!! Not functioning for the 2nd time.

The battery lift is very poor also the button which is not functioning at all. the manufacturer should take it very seriously. also required to the installation CD of the 02 xphone IIM

This is because the phone does not support the particular midlet. SE midlet is compatible with o2, you may consider using it

love my xphone I have had it for more than a year great to use but the joystick has failed twice, it won't scroll down, this makes it very hard to use. The warranty and the repair warranty (3mth) have finished and O2 wants $100 for a repair that only lasted 4 months last time so I have a expensive paper wieght, has anyone else had this prob? and if you do you should send it in at the first sign ( I waited ) so you get the affect of the repair warranty

I tried to sync my IIm wiht desktop PC via bluetooth, but failed to do so. Following are the steps that i did: 1. IIm Bluetooth-> on 2. PC Bluetooth -> on 3. IIm BT serial port, incoming and outgoing checked 4. PC bluetooth, add outgoing port. It found IIm and add in the IIm's incoming port number with local outgoing comm port 5. make some changes in outlook, open active syn and connect to the outgoing port. 6. It fails to connect and sync with IIm. If i have my IIm direct connect to PC via USB, the active sync will be executed and synchorinize immediately. Is there any step that i missed out? Thanks.

When I first bought this phone I thought that X phn 2 M was the perfection of x phn 2 until I found out that: 1) There's no improvement in the battery life. 2) You can only receive file (music, pics) via bluetooth but not to send it via bluetooth to other device. You can send few things via bluetooth such as contacts. 3) If you expect to get lots of applications from the 3rd party, you better stop thinking of purchasing this phone. 4) If you use larger memory than 128 mb, the phone is quite laggy. 5) It says this phone provide us speakerphone mode, but I dont think it is. 6) Try the sound recorder feature and you'll be dissapointed. Well, for this time that's all I can say..tahnk you..

i was reserved about switching from a touch screen treo to this phone. but after i got my hands on it,fiddled around n installed applications into it, i never thought about my treo again! this phone simply impressed me, no touch screen compared to o2 mini or atom but a comfortable keypad (though wished it were a qwerty). for those who said it was lousy, this is a PDA phone after all, and all i can say is it was not meant to be idiot proof. there is a learning curve to it, difficulty of getting used to it depends a lot on the saviness of the person behind the keypad.

I juz bought this o2 xphone llm, n i found out that it can only receive things via bluetooth but it cant send things, when i saw this forum i found that by using the smart explorer it can send/receive...i already d/l the software n stored it inside the phone but cant seem to install it as the phone says that "it is not a valid windows CE application"...really do not know what to do...i urgently need to solve this problem as i often send things via bluetooth with my frens...If anybody knows what is the problem, plz let me know...

This phone just keep hanging on me, even after hard reset... really disappointing, and I once accidentally deleted the O2 Menu, service center told me I have to send my phone in to reinstall it - I don't quite understand why so, but I have given out using it... just doesn't make sense to me. Think twice b4 you buy this phone. It does looks attractive, I agree.

Hi... I'm a new Xphone IIm user and I'd say, it's pretty good. Just some minor drawbacks, but it's ok... a bit slow when you're using Windows Media Player, but that's just about it. I'd just like to ask if anyone can point me to the right site where I can download applications for this phone if there is... It would be greatly appreciated. I'm specifically looking for games and if there are any programs where I can edit my Microsoft Office files... An email or a reply in this forum would be great... Thanks!

Only problem is when the speaker phone spoilt aft 5 days. sent to repair and got it back in juz 3 days. Gd service cent. in singapore. Dun understand why so much negative comments on phone n service cent. Now d phone is working very well!!!

My prob with the phone now is that every so often when I try to On/Discoverable the Bluetooth, it'll show No Bluetooth hardware is installed on this device. I have been to the service ctr twice within the last 3 weeks and each time I get the phone back it's ok but the prob persist after a few days.. Anyone know why this problem keep occuring and is there any other way for me to solve it myself other than bringing it back to them and waste a few hours each time. The phone is usually 'stranded' with them for at least 2 days each time. Very frustrating..

I just got this on trade in fm my Samsung D500c but unfortunately the seller couldn't pass me the charger but instead gave me the usb cable. Unfortunately after connecting it to my laptop, it could not detect the USB cable and keep searching and also request for the CD Rom to be insert (which I don't have it either). Could anyone help me with how I can go about solving this prob as the battery is fully flat and at this point only the USB cable would help but not detected. Thanks for helping!!

A: Yes, but you need to find the 3rd party s/w Clearvue. 3) How big is the maximum memory rhat can be installed there ? A: The phone comes with a 32MB RAM and shared by the OS, so the remaining space is about 20+ MB free. Excluding the storage card in this case. 4) How long is the video recording capability ? A: If you set your recording output to your storage card, depends on the capacity of it. 5) Can it record sounds ? Just bought my 02 Xphone IIm 3 days ago, I previously use XDA II mini and here is what I found after 3 days of using it. 1. Installing Application is not as easy as my mini. 2. Text input is more comforting than touchscreen (one of the reason why i choose this xphone as mini replacement after 1 year usage :)) 3. Plenty of usefull 3rd party program makes this phone like "open source" phone for you to install almost any compatible programs 4. Hacking the registry, play with the system, install games and application with this phone is preety fun (though too bad, the IRdA is not capable of universal remote) 5. Sleek form factor, and uniqueness of this phone makes my friends jealous. So if you see some of you guys have bad experience with this phone, perhaps you guys used to use a normal handphone with built in OS. It is preety different when you use phone with 3rd party OS. Just remember the first time when you try to understand using computer with windows/OSX as operating system and remember how it feels when you believe there's no way you will use DOS as your basic after you understand how to run that OS. Its the same with smartphones, not only xphone, yet all smartphones. So yes, I am fully satisfied with this phone, though some people think that I'm downgrading myself from XDA mini to xphone but basically it is superb!!!

For video file that u cant play on the fone media player, usually .3gp files or wmv fines. You have to got to go to multimedia album and change the folder to where ever your video is stored. once done you should be able to see the file and select to play.

U shuld check before hand for any barnd if u wanted chinese inputs if the fone allows. True O2 could have done better fr the camera. About the BT not able to send..theres a workaround..search fr binarys on google n get their FREE Smart Explorer. Fr those who cant or dun read french or too ignorant to look..u can change the website to english..Same fr any fones..some say its a dream some say its crap, in the end its not what your fone can do but how u use the fone. No point goin state of the art just to wait fr calls..thn again its up to u..

If you want to use your songs in your media player as ringtones, follow the steps below. Go to your APPLICATIONS>FILE MANAGER>then copy your songs from your storage card and paste them in your STORAGE/APPLICATION DATA/SOUND after which, go to your SETTINGS>SOUNDS> you should see your songs in your choices of sounds/ ringtones. Hope this helps.

I have an Xphone IIM and it works fine. Its not as user friendly as the Nokia phones that I previously use, but if you know how to use the various function, you will agree its a powerful tool. I have to admit that it has a very steep learning curve, and a super thick manual. I guess those complaining about their xphone IIM just didn't read the manual and expect it to work like their previous other-brand phones....

accidently sw my phone to flight mode,and it cannot go back to normal mode anymore,although the setting said it is no more flight mode,i send to service centre in Penang,technician upgrade firmware,but then the talk and stop button refuse to work,suspect the keypack problem,but was not,send to KL ,after one week come back the samething happened !!!. just imagine brand new phone can be happend like that so unreliable ,no standard,no quality of after sales service ,my advise is do not buy any o2 phone.............

Just bought my Xphone 2m few days ago. The original OS is pretty buggy, but things got better after sending it to the service center to refresh the OS. LCD although is 64K, but it's much better than my previous moto v3. speaker quality is average(my old k700i sounds better). It's a small and powerful phone.

Screen has only 65K colour depth. Non-mega pixel camera. I wouldn't buy a phone without these features, which are pretty much standard nowadays. O2 seems to be lagging behind other major brands.

I am actually disappointed with the specs...It should be running on WinMobile 5 already...why should anyone interested to buy it?

this's a powerfull product,is like the phone on this world are nothing to me again.am a dealer of phones,so i will love to buy this product in my shop.how do i pay.plz reply back cos my costomers will really embrass this product.thanks stay bless buy,plz give me the ful details on how to buy and pay.
