I've had my LG GM360 Vieiwty Snap now about 2010 and it's been a great little phone and it's been in the washing machine on full cycle and after drying it out it still worked..I wont be doing that again though lol' I would like to get another case for it though my one needs replacing now, I've tried to find one but without any luck. would like to know if anyone has any ideas on where I can get one,, thanks..

i am still using LG gm360....first of all i want to tell about camera of this phone......it has an excelent camera with flash .......one major thing i notice with the phone is touch....it do not have a sensitive touch it makes usage rough and tough...........software upgradation is avilable according to LG company but those phone update cannot be performed...........the main problem with the phone is that its default powersave mode contains 20% display brightness....if you are using phone brightness below 20% when battery become low your phones brightness increases quickly...Eg.....if i am using brightness 10% if my phones battery is about to empty the power save mode becomes on....and brightness jumps to 20%...it causes quick loss of charge.............we cannot play video or music when the battery is low....it says battery low........Thank You

If you have Bluetooth and your PC does too, that is one way. It transfers very easily just takes time is all. LG's bluetooth on these phones somehow work flawlessly. The usb is crap

OMG I remember I wanted this phone so bad at some point. LG had a bad habit of separating the features on their flagship mobiles. Example, Arena had the 8GB memory and the 3.5mm audio jack, but the Viewty Smart had the 8MP camera with very small memory, and NO 3.5mm audio jack.. also the LG Renoir was able to play big 640 movies in great definition.. the Arena and Viety Smart could not.. instead their video playback settled for only 340. This phone had some nice features specially with the built in Twitter and Facebook apps, but they werent enough to drop my LG Arena at the time. And Oh man, these phones become terrible with time. Takes a whole day to semi charge it, yet it loses power at such a rapid pace.. Would love to see LG come up with a smart phone version of the S-Class, and combine the Viewty, Renoir, Arena, Viewty Smart, and Viewty Snap into one solid smart phone in 2015!! These phones rocked! But lacked a ton!

Can say by far this is the worst mobile phone I have ever owned or used, touchscreen is slow to respond, features are few to none, struggle to use E-mail, regularly fails to receive SMS, when i answer calls you cannot hear what the other caller is saying, they have to call you a second time. After 3 months the battery was shot, struggling to have 2 hours of usage, after a year now down to 10 mins of battery life. Two redeeming features are that the MP3 player is quite good and you can use the touchscreen with gloves on. I use this as my MP3 player now haha, stay clear!

I've had this phone for about a year and I can say I've had so many problems. Like having to many applications up at one time and the phone has a fit for about 15 - 20 seconds. It doesn't show hangul or any other asian text. It freezes and takes to long to respond. The camera isn't so bad. The internet is slow, even though it's supposed to be a social networking phone. I have been using this phone for the past 2 years. The only positive thing in this mobile is the camera clarity 5mp is awesome. But most photos are with shake eg: if you capture children, even a small movement will make the photo shaky. The resistive touch is a lagging in speed. It responds very slow. If we use the camera(with flash) or wifi then the battery drains within an hour. Another stupid thing in this phone is when the battery is low the camera won't work at all. And when we make a call during low battery, the low battery warning unlocks the phone and makes the call on-hold. To say in short we can't even make phone calls when the battery is low. Please don't buy this phone.

I bought LG GM360 in September 2010 from Germany. The phone works perfectly and I don't have any complaints. The only thing that I miss in the phone is Wifi but that's something one should check before buying. Although, the phone works just fine I wouldn't recommend it to others because there are better phones out there in this price range.

If you charge the phone over night like it says in the manual the battery life lasts quite long. The only problem is that everytime i put the heaphones in it keps radomly calling my mum and it messes up my music! UUUGGGHHHH!

You do realise this is a 'resistive screen' which requires a stylus or finger nail to easily work. It's not meant to be swipe easy like a 'capacitive screen' that we are used to last few years.

I agree I bought it on a £10 a month contract and cancled it after a day. I then bought a nokia brick from 2001 of a friend and I like that more!!! The gm360 has a crap touch screen,rubbish reception, bad messaging, bad internet and the battery runs out after 2 hours of media

i m using this phone from last one year. phone is ok but battery back up is very bad, 24 to 36hrs standy by, if u use the camera then hardly 4 to 5 pics can be click and the battery goes down. music player is slower than a bullock cart. blacklisting option is also not available. camera is good but of no use due to poor battery life. gets locked when u make a call .

Real disapointement. I had Nokia 6303c before this one,and only God knows why did I take this one. Camera is 5MP,but 6303c is far better even it`s 3.2MP.Zoom feature is only avalaible for a video capture,not for a photo shoot.During the day,photos are too bright if set on auto,and during the night,colors are washed out.My guess is that the firmware needs an upgrade,but..it can`t be found anywhere on the net.. Internet..what did I expect from a 2g phone..slow,slow,slow.. Only two phone numbers per a contact. Only 500 sms and 1000 contacts. PC suite almost impossible to use. No tech support from LG-internet page is all messed up. When you call someone,screen locks so you have to unlock it during the call if you want to accept other call or type or anything else.Lock can`t be removed.LG guy said that it`s made that way to avoid accidentally starting something during the call.Come on LG,with my ear?!?Your screen isn`t so sensitive.. In fact,screen behaves pretty bad..but then again..what did I expect from such a cheap phone. Cheap?Is it really?Not..Nokia 6303c is cheaper..funny thing is that I don`t like Nokia at all..and now I`m praising it.. Battery..one day at the most..and I`m making only few calls per day,sending few messages and spending some 15 or less minutes on the web.. On the other hand,sound quality is great,on both ends of the conversation,it looks good,but..that`s about it.. So,if you want to use it as a phone,and only as a phone,then take it..if you want just a bit more from it then talking to ppl,then don`t.

hi!!!i bought this mobile today...and its great!!!!!!! mine is GM360i and it has wifi =) its easy to use,touch is ok -messages its ok,qwerty is a bit hard for me cause i use it first time..but i think its ok -sound speakers are ok and headphones are great :) -games u have 6 games, but i dont know are they good, cause most of them are not avilable in my country :( -applications u have opera mini5 and push e-mail u have calculator,convertor,world clock radio,drawing pad.... -camera 5megapixels, u need to change it into 1m(1280x960) and than u can zoom,u have many options to change the picture....idk how pics look on computer... :)) ok, idk what else to say (sry for bad english) if u have some questions just ask...i will help if i can ;)

you dont need CD to transfer images to PC only conect USB cable to PC and select mass storage and your mob act like an USB :) when you first time conect mob to PC you need internet conection to download PC suite for LG and you redy to go.... the mob is good,good camera,good transfer data and my 360i have WiFi and social networking...

The connection to a pc was the wrong size. The cd required to transfer images to a pc was not supplied. Access to the software to enble transfer of images was denied. Finally a few weeks after purchase the back fell off and was lost and replacement was denied. I am not happy !

Hi I'm from IND,and I have bought this handset on saturday,there is a promo price I only pay Rp1.179.000 or USD132 for this elegant phone,well the finishing was great it's so eyecatching n elegant,good quality cover,the screen is superior the color is so real n nice to see,and the keypad also lighting with ledlamp so beautiful,there is 3,5mm jack at upper,the customization are complete,livesquare,good wallpaper,widget,color theme and lock gesture.the 5mp camera is good with autofocus sneider kreusnach lens n flash,there are many set,the gallery is good.this phone can do multistask but you cannot open java app while listening music so unfortunately,but you can use default browser n it so slow no 3G,another aspect is good,but the performance of this phone is slow,I was satisfy a lot,and maybe I will use this phone a little while bcoz it good for take a picture replacing a digital camera!

It's an okay phone, slow and touch is a bit bad at times. I wouldnt recommend it over a phone at the same price, but a different make. LG is not a great phone make. Although i have had a few phones from there that i have been pleased with. One amazing thing about this is the picture quality, it's AMAZING.

I have the LG phone and I've noticed that when I want to text, the letters are all lowercase. But when I send the message and it goes to my outbox, the letters are all uppercase. Does the LG Viewty Snap have an Accelerometer (or what ever it's called). That allows you to turn the phone and the phone will recognise this and turn the screen in correspondence with your turning of the phone.

Im interested in this phone but as im a camera oriented person so the quality of camera is the most important thing for me.as i have a lg kp500 and the camera performance isnt good indoors and as i know most of lg phones take grainy photos indoors so i want to know whether viewty snap takes good photos both indoors and outdoors like se sybershots?

@ MOHAN.. Ive been using my gm360i for about 5months and with your concern about auto lock problem when you made or received a call its all natural. I think all touch type mobile need to auto lock the screen when making/receiving calls to avoid touching the surface button when you held it. :)

Recently i purchased LG GM360i, it's pretty good and ease to use. But one thing i strucked in autokey lock. I went to phone settings ==> Auto Keylock and i select to OFF its says completed. But when i try to call anybody defaulty it get's locked, idk why please anybody can you help in these....

There are two models of this phone: GM360 and GM360i (for Asian market). The GM360i has WiFi, GM360 does not. Also, in most places GM360i is known as Cookie Snap, whereas GM360 is known as Viewty Snap. A good comparable phone is the Samsung Star Superb/Samsung Marvel (S5560).

I have purchased this phone and have been searching online to get some more information on it. Turns out even though the phone I have is very similar to the one that is shown here, there is one major difference.....my own came with wifi....the model i have is the LG GM360i and I can't seem to find that model online...it's a pretty decent phone...camera quality is quite good and the interface is pretty simple to use. I would encourage anyone to buy this phone.

You need to press "+ with Receiver" Symbol on the screen to make a 2nd call, once it connected call with 2nd guy, you can see the join button on your screen which you can press to make a conference. i bought this phone 4 days back. Good looks. good list of features. but they wont work. Operating system is extremely slow. WiFi is of no use as it takes ages to download web pages even in the best connectivity situations. camera resolution is ok. but not different from a 3mp camera. you have to be extremely still to capture a clear pic. even a slight movement in figures gets pics blurry. Digital zoom is not working either. Overall, a pathetic phone with list of features and no performance.

the main drawback with lg phones is that after quite time say after 6 months or more its battery life becomes too short n u have to charge ur phone every night.but samsung n lg phones are the best phones than nokia n sony since they have mobile traker in it.i have samsung star its been lost 2 times n with the help of mobile tracker its still with me....

Love the phone. Touch screen is great once you get used to its quirks and the 5mp camera is really good. Battery life is rubbish. At first it would last for a week but now has to be charged up every night even if I haven't used it at all during the day. This is a shame because it is a great phone for the price.

this is to inform to all lg user or people who wants to buy this phone. this phone has two version lg gm360 viewty snap has no wifi but lg gm360i viewty snap has wifi. i bought one gm360i which has wifi, and base on my experience for now i don't have any bad comments! since the phone works perfect. although the gm360i still no 3g, but the wifi works great. the camera very good than 5mp cybershot phone from my sony ericson c901... hope this will helps you guys a lot. thanks.

I have this phone 5 days. To charge battery takes about 1 hour. Charger cable is very hard, not like nokia chargers cables. Battery life seems short - just 2 days. Touchscreen not very sensitive, but it is enough . Performance good, but not excellent. Camera good. Music sounds nice, not loudly. You can chose 1 of 3 meniu themes. SMS writing with fingers is difficult (small onscreen buttons). How ever, I love this phone :)

Had the same problem. You need to phone your service provider, in my case it was Virgin, and they provide you with a code number that needs to be entered into your text settings. They should talk you through it over the phone. Mine did't start to work until I had entered the code, saved it, switched the phone off, left it for 10 mins then switched it back on. I think my problem was because I bought the phone on another network and had it unlocked. It's working fine now though.

I have had this phone for over a week and i am really disapointed with the push email service that LG claim it has. In order to use the push email service the user has to open the application up every time to view their emails, which totaly defeats the objective of having a push email feature on the phone. Touch screen is also very Temperamental. Frankly to be honest the phone is a failure and i shall be returning my one soon.

Great macro, strong LED flash corporates with AF. - Background RDS radio, records to mp3! (with pause function) - Painted notices (same as on LG Pop) - 2 disk mass storage is very fast (I thing more than 1Mbps) - outgoing email seems up to 2.2MB - USB charging - big and scalable fonts in menu , messages - ready to record parts of voice calls(.amr), with pause function - Opera mini v. 5.0 in signed version(can store pages) preinstalled - appliance is very elegant - messages etc. can be written on QWERTY-landscape - forcefull image and video! EDITOR, can do titles, cut, insert image etc.. - Instant mess. - Support for gestures when you leave locked mode. Disadvantages: - very bad daylight legibility - Poor battery life(very often charging). You will be forced to buy the next one soon, probably. - Touch display is not very sensitive, not good in click-drag - It seems, telephone response has become slow, if the amount of stored files increases. - It's very easy to unwanted touch the camera window with your fingers, when you handle with phone, but it's not so easy to clean it than. - It's no legal way to switch off very noisy camera and video shuttter sound. - video QVGA@15fps only - not good text wrapping when native browser zooms. - no WiFi support

Evening all. I recently got a HTC Wildfire on contract, but wasn't massively impressed with it, so I decided to sell it and get something a bit cheaper. With a friend's wedding coming up, I wanted something with a decent camera. With that in mind, and a budget of £100, it was a toss up between the Sony Ericsson Elm, Samsung S5560, and the Viewty Snap. I must say, a week later, I'm not disappointed. The camera is superb, as is the mp3 player (which I am using with my gourmet Sony earphones), and for £79 I really don't think you can't go wrong. I got mine from Carphone Warehouse, who are currently offering a discount on memory cards when purchased with a phone. So I was offered a 4gb memory card for £10.99, an offer that I was happy to take advantage of. I'll be honest, the phone isn't perfect. Although in general, I am very happy with it, the only areas which I feel let it down are the internet and the casing. No 3G or wi-fi make the download speeds pretty average, so I wouldn't advise you to consider this handset if you're a prolific downloader. having said that, it's perfectly adequate for browsing facebook, BBC sports, hotmail and so on. Couple this with the fact that Opera 5 is pre-installed, and most casual browsers will be fine. The other niggling issue that worries me slightly is the chrome-effect plastic trim adorning the edges, and the top and bottom of the phone. Although mine hasn't shown any marks yet, I'm pretty confident that this would scratch very easily, particularly if you chucked it in a bag, or kept it in the same pocket as your house keys, or loose change. So if like me, you're slightly anal about scratches, I would definitely recommend getting hold of a nice soft case. Overall however, I'm very happy. The touch screen, despite being resistive, is very responsive, and texting is absolutely fine. I listen to music all day at work, although I do have the USB cable plugged into my work PC to keep the battery going. Call quality is second to none, and the handset looks and feels great in your hand. I have seen a few negative reviews, but in all fairness, I can't agree that they're justified at all. Just keep in mind that the people who usually review this phone are probably used to using iPhones and other upmarket handsets. If you're used to budget and mass market phones, believe me, you won't be disappointed.

Final wordings for LG- with the todays market, LG WHICH IS THE 3rd brand is very incomplete product with comparing to samsung. because LG S all handsets are missing somethng n something in every level frm low to high end somewhere it missing the torchlights somewhere mp3 grade ringtones,and somewhere dual speakers for LOW END PHONES. No... LG does not make high performance phones. They are lightyears behind HTC, Sony Ericsson, Nokia, Apple and Samsung. The KM900 Arena is LG's best phone to date. But it was released over a year ago and they have not created a better phone since 2009. That's bad!
