i had this phone over 1 year and i can tell you its shit. i can regret i bouhgt it the battery dies almost after day it freezes all the time and its randomly turns off after a while your screen will brake and it will turn black !!happened to me . but that dosnt matter becuase u dont see a thing on the screen when its working because of the stupid mirror screen I HATE THE PHONE

I have this cell for one and half year now, and I like it. Yes, it freezes from time to time, but every phone has these moments. The camera is quite good (for a cell phone), the themes are absolutely cool. But I have problems with reading the display in direct sunlight, and it needs to be charged often. I can't name more flaws right now, but I would buy the phone again.

I have the LG KF600. It froze up on me while I was reading a text. I shut the phone off and turned it on, but all that shows is the KF600 logo frozen on the screen and it doesn't go to the next level. Any thoughts on what to do in this situation?

I have now had this phone for three years and i must say, it is a very good phone. the battery life lasts for ages whilst with same activity on a buttoned phone (not even mentioning touchscreen phones) lasts a couple days less then on this phone. it is very simply, yet elegent phone which i would stongly advise for people who want a touchscreen, which has a good battery life, and is great in design, yet still have the old touch of buttons! Personally and many others with this phone found one downfall, and it is the lack of themes you can have. All the themes that are already on the phone are the only ones you can use, so therefore if you are someone who likes to customise your phone constanly, this may not the be phone for you, however you can download many wallpapers and moving wallpapers onto this phone to create your own theme. This phone is 10/10 for me!! :)

I once buy a phone that wasn't reliable and I thought "those bad things aint gonna happen to me", 6 months later I couldn't be more happier when I got rid of that crap.. Pros: Design is very cool, interact pad is really cool too, mp3 player quality looks good, had a good loudspeaker quality. Good battery life. Cons: Have lot of errors if u run some java midlet, bad camera flash, and....... thats it :D

i've had this phone for a year and a half and its caused me nothing but problems since i got it. the phone resets itself constantly, it overheats, freezes and turns itself off aswell. Apparently it has to have its software constantly updated, something i was never made aware of when i purchased the phone. overall i wouldnt suggest purchasing it.

hi, i got this phone some time ago and i am really upset, i got the phone only because my phone was stolen. i haven't had as many problems as the rest of you but my biggest problem is the fact that i have a 2gb memory card in yet i cant bluetooth any file bigger than 4mb because the phone doesnt have that much memory i would just like to know how can i store files to my memory card straight from bluetooth? any help please!

i hope LG will solve these problems people facing in there new firmware version for this device , cuz i dont think most of those problems ppl facing are becuz of the device it self but just becuz of the improperly un managed firmware that is installed in it . specially they have to solve the problem with the contacts cuz most of us need to enter so many cell phone numbers for one contact and home phone numbers , office phone numbers etc.

agreed with the faults all of u guys have described this is by far the worst phone by LG . LG stands for - LIFES GOOD but with this phone its gonna be LB which stands for - LIFES BAD . at least i prefer u guys buy the LG KF 510 (all rounder heavy metal shining body stylish) or the LG KF 700 (touch screen slider bad music player) which are better in every way than this model . or go for the LG KP 500 (aka COOKIE a all touch device)or buy the LG KM 710 (one of the best LG products for music lovers) . but never buy this one cuz it will ruin your life .

this phone kinda makes me furious! you cannot put more than one contact # on the same person,you cannot rename your own profile,you cannot download a new theme,bad in the sunlight,you cannot save a birthday as an"anniversary" only a memo,when yu make a song as your ringtone,it`ll only play the beginning[when someone calls or when you get a message],you cannot leave your music player if you wanna text[etc]or your music will stop playing,if your a fast texter,you`ll probably be faster than the phone in dialing,the screen is SUPERR sensitive,it has short hour battery,the speaker is low,and i geuss there are more that i havent experienced yet,like hacing bad connection to the computer and having its memory card unread because of its heat cuased by too mich vibrations-_-` this phone is too sucky...i prefer you dont buy this.....PLEASE!

I got this phone on contract as I fell in love with it. The good points: The touch screen is convenient and easy to use, the phone's OS is powerful yet simple, and features many of those "Oh, thats handy" features, i.e. if your playing music and the headset falls out, it wont blast music through the loudspeaker. Its a pretty phone, you wont be embarrised with it. It comes with some half-decent pre-installed ringtones. Now, the bad points: The phone doesnt seem to like text messages. I'm not the only one who every now and then has experienced a full scale crash when a text comes through, it makes the phone vibrate, overheat and then you have to remove the battery to get it to start again. LG seems to have brushed this model under the rug, there is hardly any online support and no phone firmware updates to solve this clearly common problem. The whole phone was poorly manufactured, my memory card slot actually swallowed the whole card at one point, and the card is now unreadable because I had to get it out. Finally, the phone has virtually no customisation. I dont know who Keith Harring is, but his estate copyright is all over the wallpapers, Im assuming this is the reason you cant change the colours or layout of the phone OR add any new themes, something no new successful phone can be without. All in all I'd say dont buy the LG Venus. And its a shame too, it had so much potential, but yet again LG have rushed the design, and ruined it. The worst thing is I'm on contract, and stuck with it for the next year!!

Had been having this phone for 8 months already. Loving it, though the chrome is scratched and also looks kinda rusty. It is a very user friendly phone. Doesn't lag or what so ever. Only one thing though, while a message is sending, you can't type another message. And when you browse the picture, before it finish loading you can't choose to look at the next picture. It will state 'image decoding'. That's about it. Overall good phone. Camera's very sharp. Touch works well.

Not impressed with this phone at all. It is really slow and when i write into a second text message I had to wait ages for the letters to catch up with the typing. Kept freezing. Do not recommend.

DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! Ive had nothing but problems with it. it turns itself off constantly and when turned back on has little or no battery. the phone was sent off for repair 3 times each time couldn't be fixed so i recieved a new phone each time bu the problem still persisted. the touch screen was a nightmare, texting is long and frustrating. If you are looking for reliability buy a sony erickson ive been using my old one whilst the LG was on repair, the best phone ive ever had. i seriuosly advise you to steer clear of this phone or for that matter any LG products i have heard nothing but bad reviews from friends and family about other products.

it's not a bad thing, I was just adding a comment to the post before mine, that said that it was easy to unlock in the pocket, I don't find it that easy, you have to do 2 steps and in the second press must be long, is like most of the mobile phones avaiable in the market

I find almost impossible to unlock accidentaly the phone with de camera button, sometimes I use the phone without sliding it (thats why you can unlock it with the camera button) and the annoying part is that is hard to unlock you have to press one to ligh up the screen and second for 2 seconds for unlock!! I also see the buttons as large enough, the issue is more that this phone is touch sensitive and not heat sensitive, I would be happier if it had some kind of stylus (even one of those lipstick shaped keychain look-a-like objects), pressure screens always respond better to a stylus

Great battery life and solid reception means this device fulfills its primary purpose of being a phone more than adequately. The camera is okay, if very laggy. Design-wise though it's a bit of a nightmare. The keypad is just that tiny bit too small, and I can't help thinking that LG have attached the touchpad just so they can say it has a touchpad on it. There is nothing here that a larger keypad and a joystick couldn't have achieved with faster, smoother results. Plus you'd have all that extra real-estate for a bigger (single) screen. On top of that, the unlocking mechanism (press the camera button) is dire. You have to be careful when you put your hand in your pocket, and don't think of doing any strenuous work in case you accidentally use all of your credit up autodialling someone on your contact list. What I can't understand is why LG have made the camera button double as an unlock button when it's a slide-open phone. Surely that's the whole point of it being slide-open? This is a unit that could have been great. Really, really bad design ideas have ruined that though. 6/10.

just got one this week, great phone, really great, I'm really loving it, I still have ke820, prada, samsung armani, i600 and sony ericsson m600, p990 and p1i and this one is really my favourite, its wonderful to use, has great keith haring themes, its fast, great media player and so on... Couldn't be happier with it! Just one thing, the sms ringtones are limited to the ones on the phone, but this time lg decided to put more ringtones avaiable, so you have 10 ringtones and some are really nice, not the annoying ones on the ke820 and prada. Believe me, this phone is a must have!

I bought this fone to have a change from my Nokia 5610. The features on this fone is very good, but if you rely on calender and notes, then forget it. It only allows 30 odd characters for each calender, whereas the Nokia has 256. It doesn't even offer you the option of every other day, every other week, certain days of each week etc. It is very poor. And you can only hold up to 100 calender events, with Nokia it is unlimited. For a memo, you have 80 characters for each memo, whereas a Nokia has 3000. It allows 100 memo's for this fone, a Nokia holds 30, but also has a to-do list of 100. And text messages on this fone - 500. A Nokia is unlimited. I have got over 800. I think I will be sticking to my Nokia fone.

DO NOT GET THIS PHONE!!!!!!!!! it was pretty gud an di had it for about a week but the touch screen is sooo sensitive. i clasped the phone in my hand not that strongly and the touch screen cracked. now its all black and weirdly colourful. also sumtiems for no reaosn it starts vibrating and wont sotp and freezes all aplications and to gte it to respond i ahve to remove the battery!!! also i tried to gte the touch screen repaired but LG doens't make enough spare parts so they have to have it custom made which is gonan costa fortune. its sux dont buy lg

I have this phone and the music doesn't work. It switches on and off after every track. And the touch screen doesn't work, plus the key pad when texting freezes up. I then sent the phone off and it came back with all the same problems but even worse. And now I have to get a replacement, I recommend not buying this phone as my friend has had the same problems.

I just got this phone a week ago and the three problems I am facing is I saw sent pics and video but when I retrieve the attacj files it doesn't retrieve. another thing is when I want to send a photo it states there is "no MMS settings". What is that? and the other problems on down loading songs, I tried it on the computer but it just stated informtion no store on phone. I put the cd it came with and used the equipment (connection cords etc) to connect to the comuter. Pls advice.

You can change the tone, but only to the ones that they have preset. Meaning you can't put a song onto your phone and use that as your message alert. Although, you can use your songs on the ringtones. Alos thanks to whoever fixed the problem of names not showing up when people are calling, only numbers. One thing to add though, they must be in your country code (for example, UK = +44), or else it won't work.

I just got this phone and after battery was empty - I put it to charge. 1. I CAN NOT start the phone while it is connected to the charger! 2. if I pull the charger out, start the phone, put the charger back in - the phone will go off by itself in 30 minutes or so! 3. charging takes 8 hours or more! How is all this possible?! Is it just my phone or does somebody else have the same problems??

Bought this phone two months back. it started giving me problems since the first week. Main problems i faced: (1) Phone hangs frequently everytime i used the handwriting recognition function. (2) Other party complained that my voice is not clear and there are frequent disruption to the line when i used the speaker function. (3) My first call to any party usually failed and will only get connected after a few attempts to redialling. Sent my phone back to a local service centre. Have to take leave just to bring the phone back to the service centre since they only open during office hours and it is like 45minutes drive to get there. So much of inconvenience. Got my phone back after 3 week of servicing and repair. According to the work order, everything is working fine so they reformatted the phone software. I really do not know how good this people are but i am still facing the same problem. This is my first experience with LG and i hope i will never get another LG phone in the future.

You must have numbers stored on SIM to see them mapped to calls and messages; Because SIM is limited to name and number and I wanted to have full information for my contacts (email, address etc.) also, I have copied all numbers from phone to sim; Then I have edited names on sim, entering a space before name, this way I have SIM numbers showing up before Phone numbers, so instead of having Anna a Anna a Buba stick Buba stick Ceclila c. Ceclila c. showing up, I have Anna a Buba stick Ceclila c. Anna a Buba stick Ceclila c. So I'm not bothered with having the same name twice one after another - which would be inconveinient :) I hope that helped you, and If anyone else know a way short of having numbers stored on SIM for LG to use address book properly, please share it. I do think that this phone is very good. It has a beautiful colour display and the Keith haring themes make it even better, even if they are a bit weird. The screen is quite sensitive and the features are just right for playing around with. I do recommend that this is not really a good work phone, but it does have a document reader which has proved to be useful. One thing I love about the phone is the hand-writing recognition. It is very accurate, except for my n's, but it still works perfectly. The camera on this phone works quite well, but it does take quite a long time to take a picture. The settings customizing is quite good. The flash, isn't really flash though. It is just like a record light as it stays on the whole time, not just at the point when you are taking a picture. It can get quite blinding. The mp3 player is quite good, and it does use the touch-screen to its advantage here. Using your finger you can choose a point on a bar, and the song is fastfowarded or rewinded to that point, it does look very neat. The speakers are quite good and you can hear the sound from about 20 metres away. at it's highest. Also the FM Radio is quite good t listen to, but you need the headphone extra for that. Mine came with the phone, but I'm not sure if it does in other countries. The extras are not the best part of the phone, as the memos are very short and you have to input the rates for the currency converter. The alarm works as it should, and so does the calculator. The calender can only have 100 dates in at a time, including birthdays and others, so this is another reason why it may not be good for work. It also has a world clock. The games and applications work well, as the touch-screen adapts to a normal phones buttons. The games work seamlessly, especially the pre-set ones that involve the touch screen, and so do the applications. The permissions for the applications and games cannot be changed so you have to say that applications are allowed to connect to the internet every time they want to connect. This can get quite tedious. The browser works quite well, but it cannot download large pages, which is slightly annoying. I downloaded Opera Mini, because of this, but I have had a lot of trouble with connecting it to the GPRS in my area. This probably isn't the phone, but my area instead. One more thing. if you wanted the LG KF600 for it's EDGE, check that it is available in your area, because i wanted it for it's EDGE, and it is not available to my area, with Orange. Well, I hope I have helped anyone. I think this is a very good and fun phone and the small touchscreen gives a very good vibe. It is very clever in some places how they have used it, and that's why I love it.

got this back in march, loved it, never dropped it, hell you can say its like new...that was until about 5 weeks or so ago...when it stopped charging, then i got it back from attempeted repair from lg, they said it cannot be fixed as it is beyond economical repair due to user damage. i would strongly advise against this phone!

This phone is amazing. I upgraded from a Nokia 6300, and to be frank, my last LG was the U600 which i had for like... 2 weeks and decided that I didnt like 3 so i really didnt know what to expect. Alot of reviewers are commenting alot on how it looks like the samsung soul. Well.. I hate that phone, and the KF600 is far beyond that. The first thing I immediatly noticed about the KF600 is its amazing screen. Come'on. You get a touchscreen phone and think 'this will be scratched to buggery in less than a week' but seriously, this is not the case with the venus. Also, its amazingly easy to navigate, as I said ive had a nokia for ages, so I didnt expect to find this easy to pick up. In less than 10 minutes, my contacts were in, my profile was set, and i'd started texting people. The slide on the phone is so simple, rather than snapping, it has a sense that it's gliding smoothly up and down. When the d500 came out alot of people commented on how the phone wobbled after a few weeks of general use, I cant see this being a problem here. Also - the guy who said the phone book seems like a seperate application, your settings are wrong, I havent got a problem with it. The names show up when calling and texting no problem. The only moderatly negative thing I can say about the KF600 is it could have done with a better loudspeaker. The quality is OKAY, but when you turn it up you do start to notice alot of distortion. Fortinatly, im not a chav, and I wont be blasting any crap "Music" from the back of a bus, so thats not going to be a problem for me.

Flash: This phone will support up to 2GB, It cannot address more than 2GB at once, so If you use 4Gb it will only see 2Gb or none :) Themes - only pre installed/default ones, there are no thmes on eD2k network neither on web, so if you like different themes, and ringtones for sms'es then I wouldn't suggest that you buy this phone. My GF likes KF600 as well but she wouldn't want to have one for the same reason. She uses Sony Ericsson W550i and every day (I'm not exaggerating) seriously every day she has a different theme on, because themes availability for SE on net is just mind blowing. From the brands I have used so far (Nokia, Motorola, SE, LG) I would say that SE has, in majority most customisable phones. But I maybe wrong, maybe other brands are even more customisable. There are 3 options available for the haptic feedback. I particularly like one option whereby when you press a command, it will vibrate twice so it gives you this feeling of really pressing something. For me I bought the KF600 not because it is feature laden. I bought it because of the InteractPad and the design of the phone. I had a Samsung i550W before and it is loaded with features incl. Wifi but its just an ordinarily designed phone with staid looks and there is nothing cool about it like having an InteractPad. So you have to ask yourself whether you want an all rounder or you want something that looks great. Practicality versus aesthetics. I choose aesthetics because I just use the phone mostly for calling and sms so it might as well look well designed and cool.

Sound is on the same level as in SE, but I wouldn't trade SE for this LG if you want mainly listen to music. I had W550 b4 KF600 and the whole experience of listening mp3 was a lot better, including the fact that any SE in comparable price range will go longer on the battery than LG.

It is an average phone. More for style usage. I bought it when it first came up. Used for a few mths and then switch back to my good old Nokia N73. Loud ringtone with strong vibration. LG KF600 does hang - it turn off by itself and need to remove battery to boot it up again. I have problem calling ppl using Maxis SIM card. For Celcom, it was OK. My deduction is LG cannot work well with all operators. My next phone - maybe HTC TYTN 2 or Samsung Niama :) cheers

Looks like some of the cons you have indicate that you got a phone with some technical problems. For example, the fact that you could not make a call or send sms for the first few minutes after switching on the phone means there is a technical problem to it. I do agree with you on some of the cons that concern the features of the phone. But I could live with those. By the way, I bought mine in Malaysia (Sungei Wang) for RM990 and it came with a stylus 3 months ago.

To those who want to buy a phone, please take my advice, DO NOT BUY THIS PHONE! I bought for RM1000 in Kuala Lumpu(Malaysia) and this phone gave me a hard time using it. Although it has nice display and games, but it has few problem that make me want to throw into a blender machine! CONS: - while calling, another party phone does not ring at times. - battery depleted fast if used few times and need to charge everyday or else u will need to use the public phone. - SMS features for T9 is as per nomal, just that when u want to define certain words which the T9 does not have, u will need to key in many characters until a button appear at the touch screen to allow you to define. Unlike the nokia, you may define the word with the # key. - phone will HANG at times! Today the phone hang in my pocket when the alarm turns on. - design of the connector charger is bad. It is hard to plug in. - less features with the price of RM1000. Rather get Sony Erricson. - no stylus pen to use for sms writing. - when u turn off the ring tone, the alarm will vibrate only. - battery cover hard to open at the back. - camera auto flash does not work unless u ON it. The flash will permanently on/brighten up if u turn it on. Unlike others, it will flash up when u take a picture. - touch sceen nice to use but some unnecessary button should not appear again to confirm user. (Example: when u already press delete button, it will appear a button close or done for you to press again which is waste of time.) - at times i'm not able to make a call or sms after restarting the phone. Sometimes it takes few minutes inorder to make a call out!(just imagine u gona get rape in few minutes before ur able to call the police!) Pros: - nice interface. - nice games. - nice sms chinese hand writing. Very accurate recognition. - camera quality not bad. - nice theme display. Conclusion: DONT BUT THE PHONE! 1 out of 10, 1 rubbish - 10 best. I give 3 out of 10. I've bought this phone in April 2, 2008 and used for maybe a week or 10 days. Then suddenly the touch screen cracked from inside. There is nothing on the outside which means that it didn't fall or anything. I took it to the shop and they insisted that this isn't a manufacturing defect and that I should take it to the service center. When I went there they told me that we will fix it but you have to pay for it (whoops I thought there is a one year warranty). It seems you can just take it and put it anywhere you want. They told me that they didn't have the spare part and that they will call me when they get it. Alas, my friends I got the phone yesterday 9 July 2008 after thousands of complaints and negotiations. They made me pay 275 AED or otherwise it won't be repaired. This was my first as well as my last experience with an LG phone!!!!!!! Shame on you LG for releasing your phones with no spare parts and moreover for not wanting to admit that this was a manufacturing defect??????!!!!!!!

i think it's better to listen to LG,just use 2gb micro sd.. actually you can browse your phone while playing mp3...just press mp3 button on the left side when the song being played... i also feel sad becoz we cannot use other tone for message alert...but just accept what LG create for us ;) if you want that function,switch to LG KF700...more advance..can use mp3 as message alert,mp3 visualization etc...

i have bought this phone few weeks ago simply amazing loving it because it was much more better than the previous phone i have... when i bought this phone the seller upgraded ffor me to 4gb and then after reading the maual till then i realised that it only supports 2gb. 4gb which the seller upload around 800 songs for me and i find it so lack that i have to wait so long to switch on the mp3 player... i was wondering that do this phone support 4gb?? is it advisable??? besides that i cant send text messages and do browse my phone when i switch on the mp3 player??? why is it so?? the message ringtone is it to choose only the limited ones which is inside the phone??? need advise thank you..:)

I just wanna tell everybody that I simply love the "multi delete" function. I can choose which pesky sms to delete without having to go through the process of deleting them one by one. I never had such a function before with all my previous Samsung phones.

I agree with you 100%, although, the reason your IQ was "insulted" was because you were not clear enough. Sure, every phone has bad things about it. No phone is perfect (find me a phone that is and I will take that statement back) You said " The MicroSD icon only started showing in the past week, and the manual dosent mention it at all, its always had a card in.", that happened to me right after I played a song on the MP3 Option. It must have something to do with Media. I don't think the camera is poor, although with the lack of zoon capability, when you zoon in on the picture manually, the picture is degraded and make the quality.....well...poor. The sticky text can get annoying, especially if your used to rapidly hitting the button, ensuring multiple deletion of words/letters, then when you start to type again, you find that most of the words you thought were deleted are in fact still on your screen. It looks like switch.au misunderstood quite alot of your post, to be honest with you, so did I at certain parts. When you describe things can have multiple meanings, please make sure you give more information. I haven't experienced any problems, and I do not wish to. The phone is good, camera and video capure is a little bit of a let down. Thats my only dissagreements.

I have had this LG for month or so and never experianced problems you have mentioned. MicroSD icon is there when i have microSD in and is not there otherwise. No problems with 'sticky' C button it is quick and never had such a problem. Touchpad is fast and accurate, and i don't have this mute sensation when calling someone. So, sorry to hear your LG sux, better luck with SE. btw.: I have had two SE before, never had problem with those :)

Haha okay, Insult my IQ... Im sure the fact that I just sat my Commercial Organisations exam last week which basically comprises partnership, company law and bankruptcy makes me totally thick... Law isn't a hard degree at all! :) The MicroSD icon only started showing in the past week, and the manual dosent mention it at all, its always had a card in. What I meant about the message tones was the fact that you only have a few choices, not any custom tones. Camera, yeah, maybe unfair, Its not too bad, but its just the lack of zoom and the like that annoys me... I don't ever really use it anyway as I always have my Powershot G9 along with me. Touchscreen - Maybe it is just my one, but its slow and unresponsive at times for me, where it used to be quick and sharp. And by 'sticky' I meant that I can press the "C" button 6 or 7 times and it will only delete one letter in a text, which can be VERY frustrating when you need to delete a few words and can only do so very very slowly. Locked - You misunderstood... The phone has network-locked itself. To which network? I do not know, all I do know is that it will not accept any T-mobile sim, contract or not. Did I also mention that when I call someone, 80% of the time it does not give me a calling tone? then when they answer, it is as if it is muted from both sides of the call. Next, I'd prefer it if you didn't revert to childish insults like calling me stupid. If you look in your manual, you wont see the MicroSD card icon in the status bar part. Lastly, no. SE wasn't out of stock. I was out in town one day and decided to buy a SE just before my contract ended. When I renewed it, I asked T-mobile for the LG KF600 which is what I've got. Still have my SE, but I really really shouldn't be experiencing these sorts of problems with a phone that is only a couple months old. I don't see how you can come on here and tell me that what I said previously is invalid since you have not had the experiences that I have with this LG.

Terrible phone IMHO! Many problems such as restarting unexpectedly, Unable to customise message tones, Poor camera, unresponsive touchscreen, strange 'sim card' icon on the status bar, sticky "Cancel" button and now, to tip the balance, It is rejecting my sim card (same one that it used all the time) and says that the phone is "locked." I've only had this two days, and so far so good. They touch-pad is amazing, however, I charged the phone for 16+ hours the day I got it and the battery life was poor. It only lasted since 2.00PM, turned off at 12.00 Midnight, then turned on again at 6.00AM the next morning. The battery then died at 12.30PM that day....Anyone else experience the same?

Well i think its a really smart and cute phone. why is everyone bad mouthing the phone like that, gee guys come on now. you cant say bad things if you dont know for sure. however you need to learn about the handset more and make sure you know everything about it b4 you talk bad about it. again i went through the features and it looks very good to me. how you use it is up to you!!! once again its a smart phone and very cute, the memory is quite small but i still like it and wont mind to have one. and no i dont have it yet, still gona get it that's for sure!!!

Hi again, I did not try any games from Gamesloft. What I have tried are Sonic the Hedgehog, Casino Royale and Haunted Mansion Pinball. My 3D games can work in Samsung i550W since its a smartphone. Hehe..I have two phones by the way. But I like my LG KF600 MUCH MUCH MORE!

YES, you CAN definitely do other stuff while listening to music with the phone. There's a trick to it. Once you have opened the mp3 player, you can get back into the main screen by pressing the mp3 button on the left side of the phone. After that you can send messages and all except for playing games. To get back to the mp3 player, just press the mp3 button again. :-)

Hi MIN it was my pleasure! =) Anyhow, to all here's a reality check : -So far it doesnt have a copy/paste feature for composing text messages -I could not keep the mp3 running while i text or go to the main menu ( please tell me if its possible) -when you search for a contact it doesnt view the possible contacts you've been looking for, you still have to touch on search before you get a list of persons -when viewing pictures it decodes pretty slow, meaning it slowly unveils the pic all the time.so u have black stuff half the pic first then eventually, getting a full view Although, iv got some good news.. the jack of the headset is compatible and works excellent in my notebook!

Yup, when I bought mine for RM990 (Malaysian ringgit) it came with a stylus but not the pouch. I prefer the stylus to the pouch anyway. Its the same stylus that they included into the Viewty package, I think.

Rosh: microSD is not included, i got mine from eBay. Bobo: It is because KF600 plays videos with 11fps and if you are converting a move for it you need to set 11fps instead of 25, otherwise display will look bad. But you are right, i have shown my friend lately how to convert movie for mobile devices - he has nokia and there was no problem playing the full 25fps on his phone.

i owned LG KF600 for 1 month..overall i think this phone quiet good but there are some problems occur... 1) i don't know if this is normal,but the video played in this phone not so smooth compare to my previous Nokia 6288....lines will appear on the screen if the video are fast.. 2) i have recorded 3 videos (5 minutes each) and during playback,the sound not following the real time the video being played 3)volume key,especially lowering the volume key sometimes stuck and lost it's "click"...

Recently i got the new LG KF600, and played around with it for a few days. I found that there were many major setbacks compared to the old cellphone that I'd previously had. There are some pros to it,so I will start with that. The phone slides, which is my ultimate favourite..cos I love slim and sliding cellphones.The touch screen really amazes me cos I have long fingernails and so I manage to tap on the screen more accurately. I can't live without bluetooth (for mp3s)and it also has an fm radio unlike my old phone. It has a 3.0 mega pixel camera and enables you to toggle on the zoom button after you have captured your image. But there are many cons to it as LG to what a friend had mentioned before is that it is more to the home appliances category,and not cellphones. They create good looks for the phones but does not have the proper functions a cellphone addict would die for. For instant, it does not have the 3G that i was dying for, and neither does it have a good picture edit for captured still photos such as art, paint or cute memorable frames. If you were thinking of writing something on the picture, I'd suggest that you forget abt it.It does not hv such features. It does not have a back mirror, which i'd usually check myself out before I take picts with my friends. Zooming is terrible as well..but atleast the picture is wide and clear when transferred to the computer. The alarm is pretty dissapointing as well. I placed the phone on silent and set the alarm, but it didn't go off as loudly as the other phones even if they were on silent as well.So basically, I woke up late for lunch. The theme skins are limited too. You can't have flash screens nor personalized screensavers unlike some older phone models.But atleast i was able to change the fonts of my theme. Lastly, i wasn't able to lock certain areas of my phone for security reasons. I would usually lock all of my messages and pictures for my privacy, but it didn't work. And opening the back cover to change sim cards is really a pain in the neck. Ok, I know it is a lot of information to breathe in, but in truth the phone is more for class and style. It has the very basic features an ordinary person would be happy to live with. I for one,am very happy with the phone cos it was a present from my dad (i can't complain), and i don't usually play with my pictures nor have the time to play the games(it's pretty limited too). And i don't usually bother abt the settings although i did played around with it. For a nonchalant person like me, I should have waited for the LG KF750. Atleast it has the 3G that I wanted in a sliding phone. cheers*

I finally went out and bought the KF600 last Monday, after reading/watching all the reviews on the net. I must say I am impressed with phone. The phone feels solid in hand. The sliding mechanism is smooth and sturdy. I will write about the screens and wallpaper settings first in this review (I like to change wallpapers, A LOT!). Both the KF600 screen's are very nice and can display vivid colours. You can set the screen dimmer to save battery but only on the main screen. The Keith Haring themes are very funny indeed and really gives the phone a youthful appearance. It is definitely targeted at the youth market. But I doubt there will be any additional themes available if you want more. The reason is simple, LG phones are not as popular as the other brands so themes that are made particularly for the KF600 will be rare or none at all. I can stretch a picture to cover both screens as wallpapers. The picture will look like it was cut in two and displayed on both screens in two pieces. But GIF files cannot be stretched so it is only displayed on the main screen. The GIF animation is still functional though. The phone cannot display flash files (.swf) so you can't use them as wallpapers. My brother told me I could convert flash files to GIF files so I will check that out. I would really like to put some interesting animation on my screen and since my brother is a web designer, I will seek his advice on this. One more thing, large GIF files cannot be used as wallpapers at all. You can calibrate the InteractPad and assign four shortcuts to the homescreen on the InteractPad. Too bad I can't assign a calculator shortcut to the homescreen as I use a phone's calculator all the time. Alright, thats my review for part one. I'll write about the other functions later.

You can stretch photo to 2 screens. I haven't tried using flash as a background, but one of themes, has a dolphin swimming in the background also in the background when you are in options, so i assume you can do that. This is photo of my kf600 with picture (Outback from National Geographic) stretched to 2 screens. Cheers

Update: I can confirm that software has some issues - screen hangs sometimes when typing sms using handwriting recognition. Easy fix is to close slider, start camera as it will un-hung the screen and then continue witting sms, which was stored in drafts when u have slide phone close. Anybody knows if there's software update ready for this phone.

lgkf600 is fine good phone freezes now and again due to non serious software problem issue with sms in early comment due to network not phone and im not going to comment on how loud its loud speaker is because personally i believe you should use headphones and not the loud speaker to listen to music as i hate being disturbed by peoples poor taste in music. soooo headphones good!!! phone good!!

When i get new mobile i fully charge and fully discharge battery couple of times. According to many ppl it was a necessity with NiMh batteries not with Li-On or Li-Pol, but it is always good to format your new battery. Also battery life depends on signal strength, so if you have week signal your battery will drain quicker.

Got the LG KF600 a few days ago on Contract. Great phone but the battery life isnt good. Only lasts me a day (not even that really, am going to take it back because it might just be the battery which is faulty. Other that that a lovely phone.

Loving this phone. Got it on upgrade a few weeks ago. Waited a few weeks after it was released due to problems I had with my old chocolate phone a few yrs ago.Top phone.Upgrade of memory needed but other than that no problems what so ever.(Touch wood)Only thing I do miss is a zoom on the camera. Dare say the auto focus will work just as well.

I've recently got the LG fne. Well i think the fne is great the loudness of the fne is quite good depends on the ring tone used. The only problem with me is the fone had frooze twice, but that's just me. Well all in all the fone's great and i think you will love having a fne like this too =]

Had this phone for about 2 months now - LOVING it!!! Ok, so the battery life could be little better but ok for low to moderate use. Looks fabulous, reasonable camera, easy to use, slide is so smooth, u can turn off the interactive vibrate pad. Loud speaker gd. I've not tried the mp3 player yet. Would definitely recommend this phone!!

when taking photo, cannot zoom as you can do that over the PC by cropping. moreover, it's digital zoom, so why bother. as for video, it's a diff story.

Ive had this phone for about 2 weeks now and I love love love it!! It took me about 2-3 days to get used to it, but now i cant believe i had the samsung d900i for sooo long. Loving the 'U've got mail!' msg tone alert. Only downfall is that the ringtone isnt very loud. But all in all still a fab phone!

I own this phone for 1 week, everything is impressive except battery life sucks. In standy mode, it lasted me ONLY 30 hours!! The baatery flats abruptly even though the indicator shows 2 bars! Can't imagine if I use the mp3, camera & switch on the bluetooth.. the official spec says 480hrs standby, feel cheated!

hiyo - listenin to my lg on its mp3 player n decided to check comments is it bad even if ur kl? i have a plan to use my maxis sim in the summer with my phone tho its juz a regular 012-hotlink number in response to the q's: it's a bit of a downgrade it terms of loudspeaker (n73 is so loud!) but yah, it has good vibration, responsive keys for sms-ing (but the input system is so rubbish that i actually reverted to manual input today, i just hate using the arrows to words from compound syllables grrr) and no lagging from keys does it have a voice recoder? n i tried installing 3d bomberman but it says there's a prblem with the MIDlet (java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError) but brain juice works just fine n my frens SE can install perfectly! the lack of customizing shortcuts is getting frustrating, esp for bluetooth although u can juz keypress it, its just not the same...

this phone is one the best phone i have had, it lived up to the hype... and more! the camera is amazin, it has the handwriting recognition.. the same as the viewty! really loud phone! i would buy this for anyone looking for a good camera with loud music! keypad is fine... nothing bad there, and the touchscreen panel is amazing as it turns into a second screen which is good with pics! i would advise anyone to buy this phone more than any other phone on the market at the moment... lg beat there previous phone minus the viewty which is basicly the same... just not slide and with a 5mp camera!

to malaysian, i got this phone and having problem with MAXIS. Seems the phone do not work well with maxis sim card (I am using MAXIS, 128 3G). 90% of the time it takes more than 2-3 trials to make outgoing call. Think other operators card are OK. PPL having this phone and with Maxis sim card, are you facing this problem? Else, pls state your 012 SIM CARD model - ie. how many k? You can see the serial number on the SIM card, the last 2-3 digits.

Dear Yanzo and those who own this phone: I am currently using Nokia N73 and looking into a slider as my next phone. Questions: 1. Can u set MP3 as SMS ringtone? 2 Is SMS texting responsive? 3. How is video recording? 4. Does the InteractPad lags when use? 5. How is the construction of the keypad, will it crack? 6. Is the incoming ringtone loud enough to hear in busy streets? had the phone for 5 days and apart from a few gripes i am really enjoying this phone. video and pics are better than my k800i and the keypad works really well.I have managed to install opera mini 4 and google maps and both work very well on the interact pad.my only gripes so far are that video sound does not play through bluetooth,you tube doesnt play, although orange tell me thats because handset is not compatable yet,and theirs no photo editer.8 out of 10

hiylo ...bought this phone a couple of days ago to replace an ailing n73 n my favourtie 8890 but was waiting to go back to malaysia (wah so cheap lah!) to pick a new phone but couldn't take my ill n73 much longer The glass/metal front is cool n looks slightly premium phone-ish, and scratch resistant so far. The UI is okay actually, quite responsive keys tho yah, could be a fraction quicker and utilise more of the onscreen touch keys. it is kinda tru abt the cnet uk review - u do wanna press the whole screen but u get use to it. just by another other lg/apple phone! Plus it came with a nice pouch n box ^_^ but disappointed that no memory card was included. need to go shopping mah. Java apps r installable n camera has is gd w/ a surprising large amount of customisation. oh n it has extensive euro language support, more than i've seen on any other fone actually downsides -annoying arrow key wen textin n puttng compound syllables instead of adding to t9, no bluetooth homescreen shortcut, those keith haring themes r cute but kinda ugly, dust, cannot play music in as a background app n speakers need to be repositioned to the side or somewhere. they aren't v loud to hear calls n pockets can easily drown the weedy thing out. wonder if i can flash with asian languages now, anyone know? any q's juz post innit... ^_^

I work in a phoneshop in Holland and it's released here.. The phone is very slow, camerawise. The menu also works very slowly and the touchscreen doesn't respond very accurately. Furthermore, the font is very cheap. I can get to the conclusion by saying that LG isn't a very reliable brand. And that is my experience..
