I used it about one week and returned to the supplier. The battery does not last more than one day. It switches off by itself if idle for 2-3 hours. I bought a LG TV set and had many problems with it. I bought a LG laptop and again problems with it. This is my third bad experince with LG. Never again.

I really like this phone, the best good ever, so cute, quality camera and video, high speed 3g, amazing features. But the problem is the touch sensitive is not that good, i had a problem with mine and went to change it, after sometime the phone wont on again, the lg logo comes and goes, and now its useless, i still miss it especially when i want to take pictures.

its a really good phone. menus are a bit outdated and very limited touch screen, which is stupid, cos the entire screen is touch when you activate it.... awsome camera though. the touch buttons are a bit too sensitive, but all in all, a good solid phone.... and my 1 year old, still hasn't managed to break it.... :)

The FM receiver is not in the phone but in the headset. So you will need to connect the headset to the phone and then click the 3th button on the right side of the phone that enables the touch screen. There you can select "fm radio"

Pretty good phone if you care of him, I have this phone for one year, I used to break my phones after a maximum of 6 month (Nokia 6267, Samsung E250, Moto V3, Nokia n95). but this phone is working like it had just been taken from the box. Very nice camera (in high light conditions it takes better photos than my 5mpx dedicated camera) very good video recorder (better than my 5mpx camera), i have 150 DivX videos in my MicroSD and they works very good at this phone the sound is very clear and loud, listening to music with earphones is such a beautiful experience. Teh touchpad and the touchscreen are very responsive, but I'm afraid the UI is a bit slow. the screen is very tough and resistent, the carbon fiber is sexy and the keys are amazing to use. to sum up, a awesome phone with rich features and a tough and sexy body. I recommend it to everybody

Bought this mobile for my secondary phone usage... i feel good in its look and stylish design. Features limited, best to camera, frequent calls and music. Limited touch screen functionality not so usefull, still we can say touch gives additional highlight to this phone. Not so more user friendly. when Put this mobile in stylish category , we can rate as 7 for 10.

hi, i lost my samsung jet so i have to use lg ku6000 which is cdma version of secret in korea. i had it unlocked, the ui is faster compared to that of the gsm version aka lg kf750. it can also record vga at 30fps even night vids appear swift, however, it doesnt have bluetooth and i cannot play mp3 files with it even if i store it to its mp3 folder. can anyone tell me what music files does this unlocked phone supports? please thanks a lot

I have never hated a phone I've used, and I've gone through a fair few types/models/brands. This is the first phone that really got me angry/frustrated/upset. This phone lags a lot and it is very noticeable. The delay between pressing a key and it responding is somewhere around 500ms is my best estimate which is firstly really annoying and secondly makes you press the wrong thing constantly. Everything command on this phone has this lag and it makes it verge on the edge of unbearable/usable. Next the phone screen smudges very easily and you can easily see fingermarks. The smudging: you can draw shapes and pictures with your fingers on your screen. However the smudges are tolerable. The PC suite for some reasons works sometimes, other times it doesn't The buttons don't work on the suite, it freezes up. Fails to connect to the phone. Using it as a Mass Storage device, well forget about it. Doesn't work. You can spend an easy 30 min trying to connect this phone to your PC before giving up and raging. The touch screen component is so easy to miss-click due to the small buttons and the closeness of keys. Thanks to the lag, many times when you pick up your phone and you put it to your ear, your skin contact will press the touch screen buttons as you pick up a call. With the help of the 'HOLD' button being on the screen, you end up picking up a call and putting the other person on hold without knowing it. The touch-screen is meant to lock when you pick-up but thanks to the lag, it's more like a 2 second wait during which time feel free to accidentally press anything with your cheek. To conclude, I have never had problems to this extent with any other phone I've used. This is by far the worse phone I've used. I'd be much happier using the old black & white Nokia's cause at least they don't frustrate the hell out of me with lag. The only thing that saves this phone is the camera isn't that bad. But the lag still applies to the camera features. Other then that it is thin which is good. If you buy this phone, god be with you....

I really hate this phone. I wish I never bought this phone. The touchpad is really slow and unresponsive. Many times I get into the wrong menu too. One of the 4 d-pad buttons has burned out. The menu's really lag alot. Very slow and unfriendly phone to use. Build quality is subpar too. The protective glass for the camera is somehow just missing. And the tempered screen is not scratch-free at all. It's overal a very bad phone to buy.

Keys under touchscreen stopped working after 8 months. And the UI is slow, plus there are really annoying bugs like when typing sms "to" it first writes 89 and then you can to toggle it over to the word. Initial upper and lowercase spelling doesnt make any sense...new contact starts with lowercase, but in otherplaces it starts with uppercase. considering its now almost broken, it was definitely not wroth the price.

I just received this phone and it's charging at the moment. The only thing I can see going wrong is that i'll run out of memory. This is a problem with most, if not all cellphones. Why should a devices with a built in media player, photo and video camera, games and download capabilities only have 100Mb of user memory? Who designs these things and who decides that 100Mb is enough?

Have this phone, it is AWESOME, no regrets. I recommend for you to get this phone. Its nice looking, strong, nice features. People who are complaning about slowness or battery life are probably people who use this as their primrary digital camera, and for slowness i have not really noticed any yet, except a tiny lag when viewing my photos i taken with camera, but that is because its a 5mp quality photo so its larger so just a tiny lag nothing too bad. Great phone.

As I know, LG's 5megapixel Schneider will always do the same thing.. Same with my LG KC550, the video will always be to dark.. No solution for me, but try to update the firmware, maybe it can affect the camera (like my old Siemens CX65) :)

The ouch pads have stoped responding to touch and cause of it cant do anything on teh phone. having the phone is like having no phone, all that works fine is recieving of making calls even messaging has become a pain. Thought the KF750 Secret was the biz, looks and feels Top notch. Only problem is that with any memory card I put in the phone it whould not format or except or work with ??.This is my second,the first went to 02 to for repair.After a re-flash it came back with the same fault ??, sent of agian, then 1 mounth later 02 let me no my KF750 had been lost in transit and they had no more to replase it with so they gave me a U900 insted.I got another on ebay like new on 02 whitch is still in the box like new and I do not use.This one is just the same will not work with any memory card.I seem to be the only one with this problem.Dose any body no how to fix this fault and is there any body with this fault ??

I honestly don't understand how people can have so many issues with their phones. I've had this phone for nearly a year and a half, and it's absolutely fine. Though I do have a few small scratches on the glass, I'm quite satisfied with the phone and have no intention of replacing it soon. Really, how careless can everyone be with these devices?

Had this phone for about 5 months and end up selling it at 1/4 of the original price. I bought it after I decided to ignore all the bad reviews of this phone coz its just so pretty. I thought everyone just can't take care of their phones and some people are just perfectionist who freak out over little problems. I mean no phone is perfect right?? But was I wrong!! It turns off by itself just over 1 month after I have it. But not a problem to me at first. I can just switch it back on. Then just over 2 months it started to do a lot more of switching itself off and most of the time I can't switch it back on just by pressing on the 'on' button. I have to remove and put the battery back in just to get it to switch on again. Then not long after, one of the touch navigation 'button' light starts to flicker. Its suppose to only light up when you touch it but by that time it won't turn back off. Just a month later, all 4 navigation lights don't turn off anymore. They still respond to touch though but the light was on all the time. and all of it flickers too. Oh, and the battery life is very poor, even it remained inactive for a whole day. The battery life seem to decrease exponentially. The first bar would take a long time to disappear, then the second half would disappear like half the time taken for the first bar to go and with the final bar its only a matter of minutes before the phone's dead.

I don't know about everyone else, but I think the LG Secret is a great phone. If you treat it right, you should have no problems with it. I've had mine over a year now. I still have no scratches on the front of the phone, and everything still works to it's full capability. The only thing I did experience problems with, were that the right touch button actually stopped working for a period of about 2-3 months. However, after turning it off and on fairly frequently, it's actually returned back to it's full working order, and I now don't have any trouble with it. It's going to be sad to see if go when my contract expires.

What's the meaning of tempered glass? It means the glass can stand for high pressure and won't crack even scratch is it? I own a KF750 for 5 days, only 5 days my glass cracked to millions of pieces!!! Is this call TEMPERED glass? Now I have to spend my own pocket money to replace the glass... I used to have this mobile, and i can't tell you how disappointed in LG I am. nearly 10 of my friends had this phone, and after a year, no-one's phone is working properly. The touchpad lights going out, poor signal reception and poor build quaility overall. For me? mine stopped working after 3 months. Being a Korean, I used to have good image towards LG, but I sware it to you, I WILL NEVER BUY AN LG PHONE AGAIN.

I've had the KF750 for 14 months now and I still maintain it's the most frustrating device I've ever owned. 1. Appalling reception capability. Last phone was on same network and was fine. If you have less than full reception in your area don't even consider. 2. Touch keys are fiddly and it's very easy to press the wrong one. I usually start saving an SMS to drafts at least once when writing.. (no, I don't have fat fingers) 3. Key lag is terrible. Never sure whether Ive pressed the touch key properly or its just hanging. 4. Camara is useless in dark or bright situations. 5. As mentioned, support is non-existent. It's as if this model was never released for the UK. 6. Most times I switch it on I get a 'broken phone init' message for about a minute, before anything works. 7. Message system frequently fails to initialise properly, leaving the phone unable to send, view, or compose messages for an arbitrary length of time (worst case has been over 2 hours) I can't express how many times have I wanted to throw the thing under a moving train to save myself the headache. Unless you're a teenager who wants to impress mates with the admittedly slick looks of the phone, DO NOT BUY.

I've been using LG Secret for few weeks, and would like to point out some lowlight. 1.Short battery life. I have to charge it every night, i'm talking > 2 hours + some sms + some game. But it is ok for a thin battery. The batter lifespan is also good. 2.Poor sunlight legibility. If you always work under the sun, this phone is no no, you cant see anything under sunlight, otherwise is not big issue. 3.Glossy front panel is a fingerprint magnet. To me is not big problem. 4.Weird battery indicator. Full battery in 3 bar. First bar gone means 70% battery finish. 2nd bar gone means 5% left and the phone is shotting down soon. 5.Call waiting activation not functioning. Tested with 3 same model phones. Anyway, you can activate this with diff phone then put back the SIM card. Generally OK.

This phone might be my last LG phone bcause LG seems to have very bad attitude towards customers. My phone has some problems bcause F/W version is too old. There seems to be lot newer F/Ws out there but LG does not share them on their website. Their F/W updating tool is useless bcause it doesnt provide updates for this phone model. And seems that their helpdesk has no even idea about this phone model, first they asked me to update it by using the stupid tool on their website! Then i got response that there is no updates for this phone model. So funny, however some ppl tells that their F/W version is lot newer than ive got...and there is no updates available... yeah. Next phone maybe Samsung... maybe.

I got this phone in november 2008 i think, maybe october. it work's just the same as then. I had only 2 minor problems with it: 1. the touch sensitive keys don't really work properly when it rains (don't know if this is common for touch tech.) 2. When i try to put some song into it it fails for no reason, but that happens just for some traks...like 5-10 of 100. Otherwise...a good phone, no big scratches yet..and i'm not careful with it at all...dropt it a few times..still works just as good. so...lg secret design 10/10, features 7/10, performance 9/10 :)

I dont know where all these negative comments are coming from about this phone. I have owned it for a year now, and have encountered no issues whatsoever. The 5MP snapper is sweet, and the video performance is excellent. Battery is a bit short (lasts me 3-4 days), but i guess thats the sacrifice you must make to have a slim phone. It is without doubt the best phone i have ever owned, and has the best looks.It incorporates style and substance. Trust me, i wasn't going to buy this phone from all the negative comments posted, but buying it was a decision i wont regret. An excellent phone for those who temporarily call and mainly text.

Want to know wat the big 'Secret' is?? This phn just DOESN'T work. I've got this phn around august 09. Upon owning it, there are already noticeable battery issue (ridiculously poor!!), freezing issue (the freezing is exponential where it basically freezes every time i use the phn these days) and the poor computer application software issue (i.e. pc suite 2 - can't transfer data or pics onto the pc but only works for transferring songs?? wat is with tat??). I've sent it back and they've got it flashed...but apparently with the wrong firmware...the service is beyond poor. Now i've gotta send it back again but imagine all the hassle involved in JUST tryin to get it to work!? Despite how good lookin and cutting edge the KF750 Secret may be, my advice is to think twice before gettin this phn.... especially now tat the Secret (tat IT doesn't work) is out.

I've had my phone for almost 12 months. The phone looks beautiful but freezes for up to 10 seconds in almost every text message I type. I returned it to LG after one month but they claimed it was processing in the background and to have patience. Sorry I don't have that much patience. Battery life is not good - I need to charge it up each night to ensure it doesn't run out in a day. Slow response time for touch screen becomes increasingly frustrating. turns itself off on occasion, especially in the middle of a conversation. I don't know why I didn't stick with Nokia.

I got this phone on a whim and it turned out to be one of the best things I could have done, this phone is absolutely in no uncertain terms "fantastic" the camera is great, its easy to use, the memory storage with a card is more than enough, the touch screen games are cool, the battery life and bluetooth aren't nearly as bad as people make out, the video calling is pretty good and the design is sleek and cool. The only minor issues I have are that the internet access isn't all that great, it really needs to have faster access and a proper html browser and I think it would benefit heavily from having the kinds of security features (eg passworded sections) that you see on samsung phones. But overall this is in my opinion the most consistently competitive and reliable phone that LG have come out with.

I have this mobile for more that 10 months. I have not had any problem with this phone. The touch is not broken yet. The quality of photos is great. Just one problem: It is a little slow when I want to run some Java application on it. The other things are totally OK.

One very big con: - Camera shutter sound cannot be turned off. It is alarming, and extremely disturbing. Other cons: - Menu is more troublesome compared to SE - The buttons 1,2,3 is too far up and hard to press when texting. - Touch keys are too sensitive Design wise - Sleek and stylish - A little too wide for my taste Camera: - Pictures look slight grainy and not focused. Hi Jade Yes there is a loudspeaker when your in a call or using phone press the centre button and then you will get a speaker symbol above the centre button, so just press the centre button again to turn loud speaker on or press again to turn loudspeaker off. As for deleting any messages whether its inbox,outbox etc etc you just go into where ever you want to delete and then use the function options then mark, then mark all and then go back to options and you just pick delete and they will be gone forever. hope that helps you

Hi, I have this phone, but within a month of getting it from HK as a birthday present from my boyfriend, it suddenly stopped reading my SIM card. (This may have been from dropping it once or twice, or just randomly breaking.) After 6 months, it miraculously started working again, but stopped reading my SIM again! Right before it broke the second time, I had a message stuck in my outbox that I couldn't cancel send. (That may have been why it screwed up again.) I don't know if this applies to every single KF750, but if it does, its not the greatest phone for its software capabilities.

Can anyone advice how i can upgrade my phone's firmware and where do i find most of the new firmwares? LG's site has a upgrade tool but it has no KF750 model in the list..... Manual has no any info...... My phone's firmware is quite obsolate: v10c. I read from internet that there is lot more new versions out there somewhere, maybe v10o is the newest one?

There is very little we can criticize about the audio reproduction skills of the newest Black Label handset. It easily outperforms all its fashion-centered siblings and ranks among the best devices we have tested. I find the LG Secret a very good phone. But I have one question. Why does the slow/fast video recording looks so dark indoors even if it was taken in the day? I know it is QVGA but I didn't expect the results to be so horrible. Is there any ways to solve this problem??(Even the old Viewty's slow mo. video recording is much betteer!!)

Having just just purchased this phone i feel its time to have a proper in depth review of it instead of the kind of reviews that say " got dis fone and tis good" or "it busted when i hit it wiv a hammer" or even the classic explains everything you ever wanted to know about it but were afraid to ask review " its crap" So. this phone is a bizzare mash up of a touch screen and a keyboard, you may or may not find it easy to use if you have big fingers infact it will be impossible to use unless you have fingers, unless you use your toes but that another story and assume the user will have all there limbs in tact.. 5 Mega pixel camera thats pretty good, but remember folks its not all about mega pixels that count, its about software, lens quality and such like,so dont assume anything. video function is top notch it has qvga 320 by 240 size for 120fps slow motion recording and 640 by 480 at 30fps as well as 640 by 384 for widescreen aspect ratio.. these are the best video camera funtions although it has more sizes available. using the phone is well like using any mobile phone, internal memory is 100mb and it can also take a memory card, the memory card sits inside the phone under the rear cover so its best to sync with pc instead of forever removing the back cover to take it out.. nice, solid feel, slimline and feels expensive to touch. Its got games built in and a music player as well if thats your thing both of which work very well, all in all at the end of the day if your looking for a good all round camera phone with music player and can do great video then you wont go wrong with the lg secret

There's something important that I should mention about the phone. The USB sync. of the device with a PC is very not user-friendly. There are 4 modes that must be selected before plugging the usb cable in the device and connecting the phone to PC. And today there is a problem. I can't sync. it to my PC. The usb cable is properly plugged but the phone is blinking and beeping, alerting that a connection can't be made. Yesterday I've managed to connect them but it took me about 15 minutes. So irritating! Today I've inserted a 2GB microSD card and tried to explore the card through my PC, after selecting a "mass storage" and the problem occurred.

No this phone has a tampered glass screen, so if you drop it, then you will break it, most of the touch screen phones have tampered glass screens so think twice if you drop ur phone alot, or becare full with this phone, as its a great phone and worth having it.

Great phone, i have been using it for last 3 weeks now, processor speed is great, user interface is greate,mp3 quality is great, battery life is also good. camera settings make brightness a little higher then you will have a great picture quality. have no problem with this phone, you just need to get used to of the touch buttons then you will be cruising.

I have experienced this before. You have to transfer all your music and videos into your external memory. Go to My Stuff, mark all your music first. Then touch the left key to go to Options. Move the music to your external memory card.

The battery life on my phone is about 3 days however the battery goes flat without any warning. I have taken it back to Optus twice to be fixed and am still having the same problems. I will definately stick with Nokia next time.

I think there is a slight confusion about whether the touchscreen is capacitve or resistive. I have the LG Secret and the touchscreen was fine...but TOO SENSITIVE! It was not what I expected when I saw that the specification said that it had resistive touchscreen. It could even recognise the most slightest touch. For your information, resistive touchscreen is phones whose screen can be pressed on and bent(Like the LG Viewty). But for the LG Secret, it has a tempered glass and cannot be pressed on and bent easily. Like I said that the slightest touch could be recognised for the LG Secret, it could not be for the LG Viewty. But though, I am still not sure if it is capacitve or resistive.

To the person who wanted to know about the battery life. On standby it lasts me 3-5 days (when im not activly using it). However when I use it continuously, (some music playing, mostly texting) it gives me a good 8 hrs of useage. My advice is that since this is a "ultra-slim" the battery life is the trade off. Go for another phone if the battery life is not for you.

i think it's better than any se mobile. and for a mobile from sony with this specifications you would pay some more. The earphones you get from beginning are really good and are loud and have enough bass i think.

the phone can take microsd cards upto 16gb but then it needs a very long time to open to example parts of the fingerpad. i would prefere a 4 gb card. you see a very big contrast to an 8gb card: it needs not so long time to open the photos/docs...

You can turn on the power saver in settings. Although the power saver switches off the backlighting, I don't think much uncomfortability will happen. My Secret lasted over 3 days with the power saver on!

I have secret and the battery still for almost 3 days with normal use. the only disadvantage of this mobile that it does not have wirless lan and the best advantage the 5 miga bixel camera. the disadvantages also that the 3d generation for this mobile not active every where and one of the advantages that its easy to use this mobile also its slim and handsom but disadvantage is that Nokia in the E71 has all these features with GPS and WLan and 3d generation is active in all telecommunications co. so even if i have the secret i pefare the E71 on it but with only 1 point that with E71 you cant make video calls because there are no camera in the fron. Just read phonearena's notorious review of the Secret, which was so "disgusting" that I came here instead (funny how they've deleted all their KF750-related posts from their forum too). IME the battery is OK, but nothing special - 2 days of heavy use, 3 or 3.5 if you only make phone calls/texts. According to the gimps at phonearena, for me the finish is "disgusting"; I reckon it's OK. A bit less fashion and a bit more power under the hood would be better but there are plenty of other phones for that!

I have a Viewty at the mo - thinking of getting a secret. One of the things I like about the viewty is that you have an onscreen qwerty keyboard but I don't think they put one on the Secret am I right. Viewty is a bit of a lump to hold very square design I am predicting the secret looks and feels better? the Viewty doesn't have auto rotate feature but I see the secret has, shame all the features on the Secret are not touchscreen capable why didnt they implement that on the secret I wonder? I hate the way to turn volume up and down on the viewty is to turn the lens ring glad the Secret has got buttons on the side for volume. Hate the way the Viewty has its sdcard stuck in the battery department whereas the secret has its micro-sd card at the side and is hot swappable. But out of the 2 phones Viewty or Secret which one am I gonna like best I am wondering.

For anyone thinking of getting this phone - don't. The battery is weak and barely lasts a day on a charge. The battery meter lies, and will tell you it has charge when it doesn't! I have lost count of the number of times it's died leaving me without my phone when I needed it. The phone randomly turns itself off. User interface can be very slow. Call clarity and sound quality were better on my old Sony Ericsson K750i. The camera is poor, for a 5MP camera it's just not supported enough by the software, images come out unfocussed and flat. All of the above could be fixed with a firmware update from LG. However don't expect them to offer any online support on the phone. There is very little backup on their website. Their attitude seems to be, get the phone on the market then move onto the next new model. Yes, it looks superb and is very thin and that's what sucked me in. But it's all style and no substance. I will not get another LG phone. My advice is to stick to the manufacturers better-known for mobiles eg, Nokia / Sony Ericsson.

This phone is weak. Keeps turning off, cant go on without pulling the battery out. Baterry reader shows batteries full but isnt. Slow menu, touchscreen can be used only for certain things like listening to music wich in my opinion is much easier to use using its own music player (not touchscreen). Hype but no balls. Camera is weak, pictures are blurry, flash is good for nothing. Video capturing is done without sound... isnt worth te pricetag. Surfing the net is major pain in the ... I want my money back

DO NOT get this phone. I have had 5 replacement handsets in 7 months. It switches off without warning, will cut off calls with a full signal, won't send or receive texts. Tells me it hasn't delivered a text and to re-try from Outbox - there is nothing in the Outbox - it is in sent items, but the recipient never gets them !!! It is rubbish. As are Orange. The only thing this phone is good for is for laughing at with your friends. Mock the LG !!! I even took to calling mine LittleGit ! DO NOT GET THIS PHONE. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Terrible and I mean terrible battery performance. LG engineers need to release a firmware update that correctly reads the battery voltage. It goes from showing 50% remaining to 0% battery low and switches off without warning. I've tried both the factory battery and an aftermarket one and both perform the same. As mentioned in reviews etc, sunlight legibility is BAD. If you live in a sunny country prepare to create some shade with your hands every time you want to read the display. Otherwise I like this phone.

The signal strength is as good as any other phone. And you can reject calls. The picture quality is not good when its dark. Overall im quite satisfied with this phone. The build quality is exellent, and its really solid. The battery lasts at least two days. Although im satisfied, i think my next phone will be ine with an os, touchscreen, and possibly a keyboard like on this one.

it seems that battery is the problem here. from forums I read, some last shortly, some last a couple days. Try this, remove your micro sd n use it like usual. If it last longer, then the problem is your micro sd. I suggest to change it to sandisk. signal strength, a lil bit lower than other phones in its class. a tip from my friend. the thing that control your signal (4get what's the term -.-) located behind the keypad. so when u type, try to keep your other fingers open...

To turn off the key tones: Menu, settingd, profiles, select the current active prifile, options, edit, scroll down till you reach the key tone, use the right and left touch buttons to select no sound then done. Hope this helps.

i bought my fone last december.. i really love the fone esp the carbon fiber battery cover.. but recently I had problems with my network provider..me and my seatmates in the office have the same network provider, I noticed that I don't have a signal while they all have full signals..I went to the service center and they told me that it's because my sim card is outdated already..did anything like this happen to anyone? thanks!

Phone is great - very good looking, solid in hand, great camera, good video, you can put any mp3 for message (unlike Samsung D900i I owned before). Also I am very impressed with VERY GOOD picture editor build in - much better than Samsung or Nokia(SE have something similar). Also there is possibility to cut your mp3 on phone itself so you can put just part of song for ringtone. Really ,this phone have some fun and good software in it. Keypad is also great for SMSing. Battery life is not great, but acceptable. Also I really do not find it to be slow. And yes I used this phone on rain and snow without problems. Just do not swim with phone and I guess you are safe:) Now bad things: -Touch navigation keys look good but they are not so good like mechanical ones - read very easy to make mistake. -Internet browser can be better. -Just 2 themes (black and white) and no way to get others. -Have touch screen in it but software make very limited use of that hardware (Why LG? WHY?) -LG PC Suite software are bad and unresponsive - they should learn few things from Nokia. All in all I recommend this phone because it is good bang for your buck. It is really nice looking fashion phone with some real muscle underneath

just bought it today and first impression is great... I thought that navigation touch keys would be a problem, but they are not...everything runs smoothly. Touch media is great, playing music feels just like you're on ipod touch. Only minus is that it doesn't support wifi.

I just got the LG Secret and I find myself being worried that it would get damaged. It is a little slow, and playing movies on it isn't such a good idea as the movie starts over when the video player is closed off. Also the sound isn't very loud at all and it sounds as if the audio is always set too high.The camcorder and camera is good and the phone is way sexy.It's elegant in other words.The motion games in the phone sucks and I don't think that more motion games could be added, only lame java games.The neon haptics are cool but its useless in outdoor lighting as it can't be seen and the screen is semi glossy.I did alot of research before purchase of the phone and in my opinion I find it tiring as the worrying of damage is always there. People have said that the phone's neon haptics burns out, that the camera ready light and flash sometimes stay on until already poor battery life is finished. The manual for the phone said that it can't be exposed to moisture as it could damage. Form my experience, I on edge wondering if the neon haptics would burn out in my phone and the camera light was left on twice so far during my 1 month usuage. Also I had put a 640*480 MPEG 4 video in my phone and the phone stuck during playing it. There was no way to undo it and so I had to remove my battery and restart my phone.This happened twice until I just remove the video. It's exhausting so I don't reccomend the phone for anyone who cares to much about phones cause this phone would give you a heart attack just worrying. True story Nick,TT,WI

But it is real laggy , and has a real problematic toychscreen( i m nt kidiin). so yeah if u want a smooth working phone , this is not fr u. but if u're patient and love fashionable phones i would say get this cos its really pretty

this phone stays on charge 24/7, buy yourself a generator so you can take it away from the wall socket. i had 1 for a week and orange exchanged it for me. sounds like a really good phone but in reality is awful. you have to go through 401 menus to do the simplist of tasks, the blue touch keys stopped working after 2 days, the battery cover was loose, etc etc. the list was endless, if i remember right i gave orange 17 reasons why the phone was useless.

The kf750 is by far one of crapiest phones I have ever owned. From the hissy mp3 playback to the 1MP (NOT 5MP) quality camera. The toutch screen is unresponsive and the processor is a slow as a snail, THIS PHONE IS A PILE OF CRAP, dont buy one and save your money. I just got a Samsung F400 and it beats the KF750 in every respect by miles. Please reply with your comments.

the trouble is mobile phone lens although they are good. it depends on the light conditions. make sure that you always set the camera to the type of shot you. ie close up - macro. night time- night and so on this will help. also make sure the lens is clean the secret has a habit of attracting fingerprints. so with that in mind you should come up with great pictures. i do.

this is one piece-of-crap of a phone. as mentioned before, hard to handle, the software is full of bugs, and my battery went dead in two weeks of use. also, quite expensive, for what it offers. the only good thing about it is the build quality and the sound quality via headphones. i wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I got my Secret for about a month now. All-in-all it's a great looking stylish phone with an awesome camera. In daylight&outside it makes crystal clear pictures just as a good dig. camera. But inside (flats, houses...) the pictures are pretty blurry, even with a lot of light. Flash is not that good, especially at recording video in complete dark, it's just ridiculous - pretty much non-usable (maybe within 10cm). What bothers me the most is that it does not support SSL for email clients, which means no gmail and no German Yahoo! mail, and thats a deal braker for me. I'm so dissapointed! And it says it comes packaged with Google app! What a bunc of rubbish is that?! No google at all on mine, instead i have a Yahoo! icon, which is useless = no mail, no nothing, it just takes you to yahoo search through internet connection = rubbish! I can connect myself to yahoo through browser, why put a freaking completely useles Yahoo menu on the phones software is beyond my understanding... the guys at LG really need to start thinking a bit when it comes to certaing things. The phone doesn't support Yahoo!GO (or what is it called). And the phone can be pretty laggy, you can bet on it, and you will need to get used to touch navigation area/buttons/surface. Just a slide touch/brush will trigger a response. It can be annoying, because it will happen. You just can't press the middle button without sometimes brushing on them (unless you've got fingers of a 5-year old). Anyway i'll sell the phone because i need email on it, and here = no email! Otherwise it's a good cool phone.

Dont get this phone.I got sent it as a replacement after having the KF700. I wouldn't recommend it. Fiddly to use and not user friendly in my opinion. Only the bottom of the screen is touch and isn't that sensitive, ok if heavy handed! I am sending this straight back.

Hey Guys, I'm absolutely unimpressed by this one. Maybe it's the climate change, but yesterday the screen on mine totally blew it's bearings and is now in a million pieces. Additional to that, it hasn't registered my memory chip I innitially put in there. Controls are slow. Getting from A to B is just a pain in the backside. Asthetically, this phone is fantastic. Im not that keen on the KF750. Design wise, its okay but the design of the KF510 is better and looks more high-tech and turns head with the multi-touch pad, where-as the Secret is really an improved version of the Chocolate, with the permanent center key.

To mark: 1. It's heavy because there are a lot of components in a small space, but also because there is a substantial amount of metal in the case. If you don't like the sturdiness or looks offered by metal, don't buy the phone. 2. Optical zoom is almost impossible to find on a phone camera, let alone one that thin. However, there is digital zoom, but you obviously didn't read the instructions. Press left and right on the touch pad when the camera is out (while holding the camera parallel to the ground) to zoom in and out. 3. Saying the battery life was once poor and is now alright doesn't really help anyone. This might have been because you haven't calibrated the battery properly. 4. I personally very rarely actually use the touch screen. It seems fine to me... I would be more worried about the touch screen on the viewty or another phone that relied solely on it. Unless of course you are talking about the touch pad, in which case you are simply wrong :) 5. So you actually bothered to buy two simcards to sit the phones next to each other? And do you live in an area with low reception? Somehow i think this is an exaggeration. 6 + 7. I use a mac, and everything works fine. 8. Micro SD cards are cheap, it takes up to 8gig of external memory, and not many phones have high internal memory. Once again, this is a cost issue. Find me another phone with comparable features and significantly more memory and i will agree. 9. I didn't receive a hands free kit with the phone, but the one that i bought is fine. This is most likely a dodgy one that the phone shop gave you. 10. You are sacrificing a screen visible in bright sun for one that doesn't scratch. Once again, your choice. 11. Bluetooth function having a mind of it's own doesn't tell us anything. Be more specific if you have a problem. 12. I'm assuming the replacement works. I haven't heard anything about the touch pad dying before. Probably bad luck. On a final note, if you are going to complain about something, at least spend a little more time experimenting or reading the manual. It saves other people having to correct you.

I suggest the LG because I like the premium design but if u want functionality more go 4 nokia.But LG seems the perfect choice,it has slow mo and fast video rec capabilities & a little touchscreen + an accelerometer(motion sensor games) which is a big ''+'' 4 me.I don't care about symbian but u decide. I find the touch screen really frustrating! The top of the touch has stopped working after a month! and the screen sometimes goes blank without any reason! It has really put me off getting another lg handset in the future! I would recomend going for a nokia as my friends got a 6500 and its awsome!

hi all. i had trouble experiencing with the usb connection and it took me a really long time to figure out how to connect to the computer so that i can transfer my photos. i'm using the PC Suite and it works perfectly. Just install all of the features it asks and it all works. At the first few times i didn't install those features, but when i did, the connections and everything worked! Now i can transfer my images! i hope my comment has helped!

I really don't like this phone! I got it on upgrade and find it really annoying.The touch navigation is super sensitive,you just brush over it and it changes. It feels heavy and awkward to hold but I do have small hands.I have an ipod touch so I am familiar with touch screen technology but this phone is not very user friendly.It is as if lg are trying out touch screen but are not quite there yet. A friend of mine, asked to me to help him, to choose a new mobile, and ask me also the opinion on this set. To tell you the truth i had never used this mobile, until a tested it today with him. First we saw the new Moto ZNE 5, which is great, than he had some doubts, and wanted to see this one, just to decide. As soon as he picked up the phone and turned it on, i didn t have to speak, the phone proove just as terrible by itself.....Slow, Slow, SLow.......i thought BenQ/Siemens S88 was slow, until i saw this phone working....Common people were talkink abou t a phone that in europe coasts almoust 400euros!!!! My Benq s88 coast me only 150. very promising phone, with questionable design, as for me i found it more suitable to the ladies. But usability is terrible, LG still has a long pad in this buisness, perhaps they should reunite with Samsung and learn a bit with them. Useless to say that he choosed the ZNE 5, a smarter and safer choice.....For those who are thininkg of buying this, please try before you buy, and really mean it!....

It does not have a plastic cote, learn your facts before criticizing this phone. The Back is made of Carbon Fibre, and the front is made of TEMPERED GLASS. It's an extremly durable phone an does have its flaws, like any other phone.

i purchased lg secret black lable as soon as it came out it looked smart but sadly i am dissapionted the battery life is short lived to say the least and as for trying to send a message e.t.c without touching the touch pads is nyon impossable unless you've got thumbs off a 6 month old,and thats if your touch pads still light up as 2 of mine are out also the send button has a mind off its own,and dont get me started on connecting to pc suite, nasa would have their hands full on that one,it took me 3 months on and off to connect to my pc, all in all not impressed at all stick with nokia i wish i did.

I agree with many of the points raised... - weight - heavy compared to my old 2G phone - that's progress for you - camera - average, no zoom (that I can find), poor in tricky lighting conditions... images in the right conditions ok not great for 5mpixel - battery life poor - although seems to have improved, I can't explain why - touchscreen - slow - network connectivity - poor, my old phone gets coverage when sat next to the LG with no coverage - USB charging - it seems to take more power connecting to the PC than the phone gets in return from the charging - moving files around: the only way I found of copying photos was to move the photos to the root directory on the phone, then the PC software finds the pics and they can be copied - hardly convenient! - connecting to the PC for the first time - the user manual is awful - it doesn't mention that your Windows XP PC will need to do all the boring hardware driver searches... there seemed to be an endless list of drivers to load; however I did hook the PC to the phone eventually - but intuitive it is not - phone memory: enough for a dozen photos and 10 music tracks - i.e. you need the microSD card for anything serious - accessory - the handsfree kit didn't work - the jackplug was too short (it works with other jackplugs) - retailer said that the handsfree kit was a gift not covered by the price of the phone - can't see the screen in bright sunshine - bluetooth function seems to have a mind of its own - first phone gave up after 6 weeks; electrical problem - the touch screen lights failed, and then I couldn't power it up - other than that? great phone! - LG - no thanks! I should have gone back to Nokia - boring but reliable have a nice day!

Got the phone for 2 days, no problems connecting to my mac. As to transfer pictures from phone to PC, i first move or copy to the memory card and then it can be read from the PC. Negative point: 1. Battery life too short 2. Touch screen can be very slow, it will have a delay for some function 3. Can't configure your own short cut Overall 6 out of 10 for this phone

I'm so stuck! I cannot get my phone to connect to my computer and show the pictures I've taken. I purchased a memory card, I selected Mass Storage from the options and have the Suite s/ware installed, I've tried all my USB ports and have tried swearing at it ;-), but although the phone shows as being connected there are no files there whether I go via the Suite s/ware (which won't let me select 'Contents' as it's blacked out) or via my computer using the relevant disk drive. For one whole day I was pretty excited by the quality of the piccys the LG Secret takes... it's a shame I cannot actually access them. Could this be the cause of a faulty USB cable? Or could it be that I'm missing one vital thing (I often miss the obvious!)? Please could someone point me in the right direction - I'd sooo appreciate it. Many thanks in advance.

Hi guys. I hear loads of you are having problems with the USB connections. I did aswell but you can easily fix it. I don't know about transfering contacts but if you just want to transfer files such as pictures and music then just put the phone in mass storage device mode and plug in your USB cable. Then you can use it like a memory stick, basicaly drag and drop files in the folders... It only works if you have a memory card in the phone though. If the connection keeps on dropping then just blow the USB cable contacts clean and try another USB port on your PC. PS don't use the LG PC suite software... It's hopeless. Hope I've helped you guys :)

ok, ive conected the phone to the pc, seems that when i was installing pc suite a warning message came up about the drivers and i chose to noot install so thats why it wasnt working, but now im having a hell of a time editing my contacts! i edit them on the pc suite and then check my phone and they are still the same there, and ive looked for an option to transfer to phone and checked the help menus and instruction manual and im not making any sense of it, anyone?

I've really got to take mine to a service center I think, I am having to recharge mine like twice a day, the little battery symbol shows full, although i think i might not be recharging it all the way, I'm going to test it out recharging the battery with a universal charger i have that shows a green light when its full, anyone know what might be up with my previous comment about connecting it to my PC?

RE: battery life... my battery lasts about 4 days with constant use. i have foind that the usb charging is not as efective as the wall charger, so i would recommend, only use the usb charger as backup power.

Hi Edith sorry about not replying for a while. I did exactly what you did and used a different USB port and amazingly, it worked. Thanks so much. And the bluetooth adapter I got was from tesco. Branded Targus or something like that. I got it for under �10. I'm going to return it anyway cause I really don't need it anymore. Hope I've helped. PS. Bluetooth is really slow for large files. Only about 140MBPS

It's a good phone. SMSing is poor- on PC you cannot write a longer message which could be sent as multiple SMSs. Why LG have not provided for this? Perhaps they can do now. 2.Why should it require unlocking after every call beats me. 3. Why they have not installed a branded camera like in Viewty? Got this phone for about a week so far. Am using it through Tmobile service in the U.S,signal strength is good(normal in my case). Extremely stylish,light and slim. Attracts alot of attention when you whip it out in public. Have no problem with the neon touch keys,none of them have burned out(so far.) If I had to point out flaws,I suppose it would be transfering files via USB cable as it disconnects quite often which is frustrating. Overall,I really love/enjoy this sleek new phone and would definitely recommend it to anyone :)

Hi Edith I have the exactly same problem. I've had the LG secret for 6 days now and I've gave up on using the USB connections. I use it in mass storage mode like everyone says so but it still drops the connection like yours. I just ended up buying a USB bluetooth adapter for my pc and use it to transfer files between my phone and pc. it works perfectly fine with a stable connection but the only issue is its a bit slow. I hope I've helped.

hi all. yes the neon lights do burn out afetr a while. ive had 2 and am on my third one. i like the fone though. for better internet browsing go to wap.getar.com on ur fone and download opera mini. it turns ur fone into a complete browser like a pc's one. everything on the site is free & u will get loads of free games and software on there too. Does anyone know why u can recieve animations in ur text messages, but not send them?? I also like the way you can change the colour of ur time and date on it 2 match ur wallpaper. www.zedge.net is free and there is tousands of wallpapers and screen savers on there too for the secret. hope this info helps.

Help needed =S I can't seem to get a proper connection, when using the USB in the middle of the sync it just always fails, don't know why it disconnects by itself, I have to start the sync again to download some files to my phone, but keeps happening the same thing, just tranfers 2 or 3 things and then fails...any ideas?? Yes you can turn if off. When your on the camera go to Settings then to Others and there you see Focus mode you have to set it on Manual so you dont get the red light when taking photos.

Had phone 5 months now. Right neon touch has stopped working (It works - but doesn't light up)and repeat text alert facility has stopped too. It's been sent for repair.....been waiting for parts from manufacturer for 10 days now. Other than that - have loved the phone....could do with better signal though - mine and hubby's drops signal very easily. eg. if it's in my handbag on floor in car - no signal!

Yeah you can directly upload them into the phone but you have to know that it has to be MPEG-4, DivX, .AVI or .mp4 format... Im using more .mp4 movies on my LG Secret, they are just better.

The difference is that KF755 has not videocall aka 3G but it has all the same functions as the KF750.

I have bay the piece of crap called Secret in Croatian T.mobile dealer on 4.9.08., the device after few days start to maulfunction and have been send to local Croatian LG service called EMSC in Split. After 15 days kf750 was returned to me in ever worse state than I send it to them. Next day I returned the phone to local T-mobile dealer and demanded other phone. All in all, do not bay this device, it is peace of s...t, and service is same quality as device!

I had to make this choice too and i choose the SECRET because it is more atractive and the tampered glass is perfect 4 a person (like me) who carries it with keys.I didn't found a scratch on it. But in my opinion,the thing that makes this 2 phones compete so much is the fact that the soul has a touchscreen navigation and the secret has neon touch and limited touchscreen.(i hope everyone understand what i am trying to say here:) )

First sorry for litlle fuzy Englis, due to fact that I,am from Croatia! On 4. of this month I boot in local T-mobile dealer that piece of crap of the phone. Phone worked only for 8 days and a touchscreen buton with neon efect on top of the main cursor buton stop working. The phone software is also very frezey and the akcelerator is not functional! The phone was send to croatian local servis of LG on 12 off this month and still no sound off them. In conclution, do not bay this piece off lousy hardwere and learne on my mystake! This is the badest phone I ever had!

First of all I have never experienced a LG phone, second i have never had a slider phone. If you don't know already, this phones arrow buttons are touch sensitive which is pretty cool. the quality of the music is complete dependent on the quality of the download. All of my ACC converted iTunes and directly ripped CD's play amazingly well. I originally was using the LG Prada and then went to the KS20, both were really soft. Honestly, I would seriously recommend this phone to the mild tech users/trendsetters. Being in america and having a very limited 3G network, I focus more on practicality and efficiency. The phone lags a bit on the haptics, but that is to be expected. Yes, the phone attracts finger prints like crazy, but all in all, voice quality is great. The camera is amazing, as well as the video quality. As stated in the review the battery longevity is a bit poor, with heavy camera use and music playing the phone will last a little over a day. With constant playing it probably won't last a full day. But I'm okay with that, you go out to purchase a pretty expensive phone, and you get the quality you want at the price of simply just remembering to charge the phone every night.

definettly the secret.Trust me i bought it and i can't stpo playing with it. It is also much more styleish. SE has 10.5 mm and the secret has 11.8 so the difference isn't so big and the sercte is a slide and i found the build quality very good. I actually now like this phone and below are the reasons. 1.Very Slick and good looking phone. 2.Very easy to customise the phone, even the startup and shuthdown screen. 3.Good games 4.Good Camera and features for the video 5.Need to get used to the neon buttons 6.Auto adjust your wallpaper to fully fit on the screen and can even fit a wallpaper of 1024. 7.Can set mp3 songs as ringtone and it plays the whole song and not a quarter of it before it repeats it. I would like the screen to be bigger, and texting is easy on this. I am really considering to go back to this phone as LG have got it right and it works with VISTA. One of my friends at work saw the phone and has upgraded from the Nokia N95 to this one and likes it, but does wish for the screen is a bit bigger, but has had no problems. In your pocket, it feels like, but you have to reminder yourself that it is there. On the phone there is a feature that allows you to go half touchscreen and also to slow or speed up video taken. I do like this phone now.

The LG secert is good and plus you get the 8GB sd card and the quality on the phone is good, easy to text, but the screen is not big like the nokia. However, it looks nice and it has tempted glass and is a sold phone and very slick.

First ill say its an awesome phone, sexy sleek and well balanced all out. The touch media is a little gimmicky but thats whats hot right now. The camera although 5mp is not as good as i thought it would be and the OS is very LG, same/same to every other LG out there, but nice none the less. And then i dropped it. From about 2 feet while getting out of the car. The screen simply shattered (spidered). I have to say im pretty annoyed. Before you all say well dont drop your phone, my argument is that dropping my phone is irrelevant. Why? Because everybody has/will drop their phone one day and they should be designed to withstand it. But this one is not. So look/style/quality(except for glass screen) 10/10. durability 0/10 ive thrown phones across a room and not seen damage like thiis.

If you have a memory card in there and have set it to save ur pictures to that, go to menu>connectivity>usb connection mode and select mass storage. Before any of this will work you have to install all your drivers which are on that little disc the phone came with. Best of luck!

I'm also a Malaysian, since you wrote in Bahasa Malaysia and understood what you wrote and you meant well, complimenting the Secret. i got my secret last week and so far heres my reviews pros a really good looking phone good video/camera long battery life (2days.. considering i average around 30 mins of calls a day) cons finger print magnet carbon fiber part easily scratched the touch interface is a little tricky but after 2 days you can get used to it. so far im satisfied with the phone. its a pitty though they dont sell the original accesories here in the philippines. the carbon fiber inspired leather case looks really nice

Hi J, Many thanks for your feedback, really appreciate it. I guess I was in better luck as my V8 didn't give me any problems at all so far. My phone usage is very high, at least 95% of my calls are via bluetooth headset and I have to charge my V8 twice a day (for approx. 30 mins) with car charger, at times even thrice. So your info on longer battery life for Secret than V8 certainly helps. I'm surprised, the Secret's specs stated 4 hrs of talktime on a 800 Mah battery and the V8 stated 7 hrs 50mins talktime on 770Mah battery. So now I guess it's better not to believe in spec sheets anymore. Sorry that I can't help you out on your question and thanks again J.

Hi Stuart, Mine was a RAZR2 V8 as well - the key pad started to die (switching input modes radomly while txting - very annoying) which is why I needed a new phone. Difficult to comment on the signal strength as I switched provider to Orange at the same time but I have not had any real issues so far. Agree about the RAZR2 OS being far better than the old Mot phones. Comparing the two, the things I like about the KF750 are the real keyboard, the expandable memory, the number key shortcuts on evey menu and the battery life is def better. Apart from my two previously stated gripes I would add that the sound recorded with video is not as good as on the V8 and low light video performance is much worse, though much better in daylight. Phone feels very solid and well made as did the Razr. Personally, I still like a flip - the screen is protected, the phone is bigger in use, but it seems the industry is giving up on the form factor for now. So not being able to find a new high quality flip on the market I went for the LG. Hope this helps. Now, anyone figured out how to get the slide to return to the home screen??

Hi J, May I ask which RAZR2 are you refering to? I'm using Mot V8 now and it's with Linux. In my opinion, it's a lot better than the Synergy OS (Motorola's own OS). How did you find the reception strength between the RAZR2 you were using and the KF750 Secret? Based on my personal testing conducted, my Mot V8's signal strength is better than the SE K550i I've tested so it's good to get some feedback from Secret users who's also a Motorola user before. The KF750 Secret is also one phone that caught my attention and I'm categorizing it in my list of next purchase. Would appreciate your feedback, thanks

I have it, I like it a lot, but one thing bugs me. When I close the slide after I have finished an operation - say reading a txt, I would expect the phone to go back to the home screen but instead it freezes on the last screen when open. Can't find an option to change this behaviour anywhere - has anyone else? Only other gripe is the 'predictive' text mode does not guess the word until you have input all the characters - my Mot RAZRs were much better at this.

I got many phones, but this one, it's the best i ever hade! Great, compact, good camera, isn't slow, sound quality very good (i had the SE W910, didn't hear a difference). I miss only the opportunity to download themes..anyway very good phone.

Nokia N82 has amazing specs even compared to the feature-rich LG Secret. N82 has wifi, but do you really really need it? Secret totally outclasses N82 in looks department. not only is it slimmer but sexier aswell. say Secret :) (obvoiusly if you ask this question in N82 board you'll get a different answer lol!)

Well been trying to contact someone at LG about the problem Ive been having with the slide rubbing and scratching the keys. Since Im in the US and this is an International phone no one wants to help me, or even give me a number to call! I guess i'll try and call the Korea number listed in my owners manual about warrenty repairs. I could care less how long it takes since I can go back to using me SE and hopefull get a replacement phone so I can sell the POS on ebay and get something else! First LG ive ever owned, had it for 2 weeks and already sick of them!

I was actually horribly torn between the F480 and the Secret. For weeks i would compare reviews, specs, and watch videos of the two on youtube since I was in the states and couldn't play with them before I bought one. Since I'm posting here you can guess I got the Secret. I chose it over the F480 mostly becuase of the fact that its video recorder on paper blew the F480's out of the water. Plus it had an accelerometer which is a little slow buy still very nice i must admitt and the tempered glass screen is a treat. In the F480's defense, and also what made it so hard to choose was the F480's .4 inch larger screen and slightly smaller size. The full touch screen is nice too but not that important to me. The lack of an accelerometer in the full touch screen did bother me though. Now the question, if I could do it all over again would I stick with the Secret? Would be a hard decision but probably not. The main reason I chose the Secret over the F480 was the video recorder and it is abosolute garbage when shooting indoors and thats where I wanted to use it the most. Also the keys are visably scratching from when you open and close the slide. Which is actually quite comical since they go on and on about the scratch proof screen and when you open the box it says "Quality that Lasts" then the damn thing just self mutilates itself lol. Oh well you live and you learn!

What a pieces of junk. Does not live up to its spec sheet at all! I have full data plan, can get online yet phone can not run google maps or play the videos on youtube, keeps saying connection error. Guess this pos just cant hold a connection. Camera is rubbish when indoors, so is video. Slide appears to rubbing on the keys, touch navigation on front is slow and unresponsive plus the middle hard is extremely annoying keep hitting the touch buttons when I try and press it. So fed up with the phone!!!

my phone doesnt lag and i can make calls wherever and whenever i want (isnt that the actual purpose of a mobile? lol) agreed that it doesnt have the features of the N82 but it looks alot better,carbon fiber, leather, tampered glass!. only major feature missing out on Secret is Wifi which i personally dont ever need (in a phone that is).

You're right but some people don't want a full touchscreen phone. I for instance want a phone that is attractive as the secret and can be operated with 1 hand. And the ''LIMITED'' touchscreen is just to experience the touch pleasure:) I think this phone is fantastic and i'd buy this one instead of the Soul.

I have a few questions for those who have this phone. (yes I have already read smape but although the soul is pushed aheadthis phone still is attractive). 1.) Is the Touch Screen response slow? or Acceptable? 2.) I went to a store that actually sells this and the Soul- & asked them which has a better camera, they answered, they are both the same. Is this true? 3.) Is there more than one them embedded on this phone? I'm plannin on getting either this or the Soul by the end of this month, someone help please? The F480 is even smaller and thinner and is full touch screen so that has nothing to do with it. Plus the touch screen is there, it just software, why leave out a few simple features to make it useful, makes no sense! Plus theres a freakin dedicated hard key on the side for cryin out load, so it should be more than just for fun when it would be so simple to do.

The touch media is there so you can have some touchscreen features on the phone. It's just for fun. What do you expect on such a thin phone? If you want real touchscreen get an iPhone or an Omnia!!! I meant that games are never important so that is something you shouldn't consider when buying a phone. The touch media had/has potentional to be something useful. If the would only add a few more features like the ability to delete pictures in the image viewer, and the ability to put songs in playlists, show the artist + plus album of the song playing and the ability to view the songs by album, artist etc instead of just one big long ass list. Small things they leave out like this make the Touch media plain silly.

Of course it's a marketing gimmic! Every phone that stand's out whit something interesting is a marketing gimmik for the phone to be more interesting for the masses! I don't understand people who criticize everything they se. This phone is for people who appreciate small things (such as the touch media:) ). I find it quite innovating. And the games - what do you want on a phone? knights of the old republic? starcraft? the games are ment to keep you entertained if you're waiting in a bus station or if you're bored. My birthday is next month and i'll strongly recomend you to buy this handset cause i will:)

You should be able to view them I have no problem. To who ever asked about the games, they get old very fast dont buy the phone for the games! Honestly, the whole touch media is a giant gimmick. You have so few options in Touch media mode, the image viewer and media player are a crippled version of the non touch ones. I find myself never using the Touch media.

Unlike Samsung F480 or iphone which come with excellent touch screen feedback, this LG phone is just like any other LG touch screen(e.g LG Prada), which not only un-sensitive or slow, but they give absolutely NO feedback at all at times!!!

Mine does not scratch at all :) Regarding indoor quality, i sadly have to agree. Actually the overall performance of camera indoors/low loght isnt that great (pics or video). in daylight its all great!

WARNING - Video recording indoors at ANY setting is completely useless. I tried to take video with all the lights on and the video comes out extremely dark can barely see what is going on. My old SE W810 had lower resolution but atlest you could see what was going on during indoor videos. So extremely disappointed dont know what to do :-( Outdoor video with good sunlight looks great. Indoors is utterly pathetic makes me want to smash this phone!!!

in all honesty, i have to say that ive never used Samsung U900 Soul. not even once. just seen it a couple of times thats it. i can tell you more about the Secret though! It is an amazing phone which not only looks great (in real life) but also has amazing features! the touch pad responds marvelously and gives positive feedback. i havent tested camera as it was too dark here but i know that the secret's strength is outdoor + daylight. One thing really under-rated is the MP3. it's great with all the things you need to enjoy music. as good as my walkman series! plus you are provided with ear-in phones. great! :) Accelerometer is really fun to use, not just in games but also while browsing pics and vids. again...it responds well just like touch pad. so far so good for me :) i would say its definitely worth it! i really doubt that U900 will be bettar than this: 1) No divx play back 2) smaller screen 3) No amazing video-recorder (though camera for pics might be just as good to be fair) 4) Not really great looks 5) Fatter than Secret (LOL!) 6) No accelerometer i believe (dont quote me on this :P) U900 is a nice phone specs wise, but overall Secret i think is better (or else i wouldn't have bought it lol!)

i think the sound quality of the music is as good as any se fone, just weird getting used to a new set up after using se for so long. cant turn off shutter sound at all, even wen on silent but there is 3 different sounds you can use. and the picture quality is great, just need to play around wih it a bit to get the right settings. one thing though, i had bluetooth headphones with my se fones, tried them on this fone but cut out alot, dont no if its the headfones or the fone but am not to bothered cos there a descent set you get with it and you can use your se ones cos its got a 3.5mm connector like se. hope this helps

Cool, good. My rating is 4 upon 5 stars. Just got it yesterday. Didn't read up much on Secret cos I am aiming for U900 or G810. However, when I compare them... Function wise, G810 & Secret are more of my choice. But still, Secret wins as I am looking on new stuffs on a phone. The touchscreen function is kinda interesting. The rotatable screen too. Very convenient I must say. Unlike N95 (going to sell it since Secret has already passed my criteria) screen will have to push left or right to view the full screen foto mode. Secret just need to rotate. Touch on screen the next arrow or press the next key will show up the next foto. It's like combining N95 with pda phone. Though colors lose out to Soul & N95, but, it's not really affecting me. Guess I will ignore this criteria on the specs from now on. So glad this fone does exists and I don't need to wait for the SE C905. I feel that if you are unhappy with the fones model just change it. Not all users will find the same dissatisfaction on a fone. If you're to buy a fone, please try on it at the shop for real touch... Sure you can happily get what you need.

you can save the video or camera pics on the memory card, you just have to change the settings before you video or take a picture. and you can change the video speed aswell from normal to slow motion and fast motion which is funny wen you replay it. wasnt keen on the fone at first but its grown on me now and i think its excellent. hope this helps

try using a dvd to mobile converter off the web, i use one by daniusoft and it converts films to mp4 or 3gp and they dont use so much memory. a divx film is about 750mb but wen you convert to mp4 its only 300md to 350mb. ive got 5 films and 2g of music on a 4g memory card and still got about 400mb left

divx is a type of codec used to encode movie files. some files downloaded from the internet will work, but a lot use xvid codec too, which this phone doesnt support unfortunatly.

i dont have any of those phones but i am considering the Secret. The plus sides (over the U900) is that it has a bigger screen, can play divx files so it can be fun to watch the videos on the go. not to mention the amazing video-recording capabilities of the Secret! i think Secret looks alot more stylish/mature/elegant :) Both have 5MP camera and i guess we can say that they both are equally great, not amazing like G810,N82 but great. Not sure about the music player tbh so i wont comment. Battery life of Secret apparently is really poor though ive never had the chance to. now you might already know these things but that all i can help you with :)

it scratches no. 6 & 9 on my keypad but has not left a permanent mark on it yet since I bought on 1st July. They should have made this a 12mm slim phone instead of pushing to the limits at 11.8mm. Anyway, if the scratch mark is not permanent, it's fine with me.

The camera is excellent, and the earphones you get are nearly the same as se ones. the sound quality is good to, been used to se for about 4 years so its a bit weird using a different phone but its worth it

If retrieving data from your memory card is slow, make sure you formatted the memory card using the phone before transferring files into the MC. It also depends on the read & write speed of your memory card. Operating menu functions should be fast except accessing Contacts and MyStuffs. Here's an excerpt of my previous review: "The menu operates slowly and nearly sluggish at times but still at a tolerable level. This sluggishness can be to your advantage bcoz you will have more time to FLASH your beautiful phone while performing a simple function. What's the use of buying an expensive beautiful phone that operates as fast as a Ferrari where it will be back in your pocket in a FLASH. Now, which type of FLASH do you want?? The perfect phone doesn't exist and I hope it never does. The little niggles give a phone character. I tend to remember most fondly the cars I have that had odd quirks provided they were built to last, and that's how I feel about the Secret. With so much plastic around I'd pay the money for a quality, glass-screened executive phone that just made calls, throwing in a great camera, carbon fibre back, more video trickery than I know what to do with, semi-touch-screen functions. Look at Nokia's attempts to make a solid phone with a little prestige then look at the ridiculous price tags. �600+ for an 8800, yeah that's good value). LG have tried to make a phone that lasts and looks good and for this I take off my hat to them, and what a great waypoint for the next black label handset.

Well just went and replaced my secret today with just another secret. (The reason was malfunctions of the 3 buttons under the neons and top neons not working.) I was thinking i could have got either new Ericsson or Samsung Soul... both phones like this one boast 5meg cameras and pretty much same specs, although i bet ericssons battery will last 4-5 days not 2-3 like on Secret. Signal is rubbish half the time on secret but someone told me a little trick of paper which u put at the back in top right conner over a goldie looking pin next to the sim. It increases signal by around 10% basically like me now i get 2-3 bars in places where i had no signal at all.. Havent got a clue how paper does anything apart from maybe some how it disperses the signal abit.. but really no idea..but it works! and its second phone now to do this.. so it does work for me anyway. Another annoying thing is "Delivery report has been arrived" or something on the lines of that, u get after each message.. dont they have anyone who speaks decent english? Come on who ever designed this phone or its software must have been paid thousands.. at that level u would expect at least decent english! As for battery out of last phone i managed to squize out 2 days, i will see if by charging this one properly and than let it go dead and charging up again will increase the battery life like it did on the old phones.. Some suggested to use auto brightness which is switched off by standard, i tried that a night and its not as bright.. so its like power save thing.. but i like my phone (since its soo stylish and flash) nice and bright and clear. Just adds that little peace in mind that its all nice and quality not just outside but inside too... And if something goes wrong i will still just look on its style and forget the rest. Talking about going wrong, just about every review of the phone had people saying that somethings goes wrong.. be it glitch with txt where u try deleting text but instead it just switches off.. or neons keep coming on and off as they please with some (as said below) going off completely. The phone probably be never as reliable as nokia n95, but its certainly is the best looking phone in the market today and probably will be until LG or someone else will managed to come up with something nicer. But originality and the aura of quality will be in the phone for many month to come. As been said the glass is virtually unscratchable, but i noticed that carbon fibre at the back can be scratched so watch that.. and it gets dusty in tight but noticeble places too.. which i recon eventully be just dirty. So i personally gonna see if i can buy that armani phone bag on ebay.Its basically a little back that goes around the armani phone and protects it from scratches etc.. comes with every armani phone, but i am not sure if u can just buy them. Overall phone is brilliant, camera is great and one of the best currently, will match n95s during the day, but the flash could be bit better.. (but u cant have everything right?) But the aura of quality, the slim but heavy feel, little wii like games will always make up for any of the glitches it has.

to all the doubters out there, even tho ive had a few little probs with my secret, slightly loose slide being one of them, and ive already left 2 reviews slightly negative, i would highly recommend this phone. and thats coming from someone who on monday took delivery of a 3G iphone. planned on keeping it but within a day i realised how little it can do underneath that exquisite interface. especially when someone texts you a joke and you cant forward it on. now has a happy new home thanks to ebay. as for the secret, yes the buttons do all light up blue, even the 3 keys at bottom. my top neon touch pad dot has gone on mine but i use the ring setting so you dont notice. easy to use easy to carry and the battery life is really good. i dont use 3G that much, who does, but realisticly theres no hardship in charging your phone for an hour at night or in the morning. get one and enjoy...plus if yr a bloke it wont knock you in the knackers if you have it in yr jeans..its so slim. (try putting an iphone in yr jeans)

You can drill with a drilling machine on the display without scraching the surface. Trust me I tried it. Got a very shallow mark that you don't even see if your not really concentrating.

Hey Rich, You need to get a new orrifice to talk through. All phones take a little while to lock back on to a signal once lost. This is because to try and get a lock ten times a second when you might be out of range for possibly hours or even days (on holiday perhaps) would kill your battery. As for the Secret putting you off EVERY future LG phone, how childish is that? Every manufacturer has a turkey to their name, that doesn't mean the next handset won't be fantastic. You're confusing an open mind with an empty one. I've never been an LG fan until the Secret came along and I now think it's one of the best handsets on the market. Fanastic build quality, excellent camera (read the manual, this gives me superior shots to my K810 in daylight), no problems at all with signal strength, battery lasts three days on average(with 3G turned off in the menu) and more. On the minus side screen could be better in sunlight, needs a lip to slide it open without hitting neon touch buttons and the call, C and end call buttons feel a bit vague (they're backlit blue on mine by the way for the person who asked), but nothing so far has convinced me there's anything better on the market righ now.

Me too, pal. But when I got involved I knew that: video (QCIF) means 176 X 144 resolution normally 12 fr/s video (QVGA) means 320 X 240 resolution normally 10 to 12 fr/s other than that they specify, i.e. @15 fr/s or @30 fr/s video (VGA) means 640 X 480 resolution and the frame rate issue is the same as in QVGA. hope it help.

one more thing.. while glass is scratchless... the fibre at the back can be scratched with a nail lol.. and with a few in same place u will notice em when looking on fibre in the sun :) but it looks just amazing! if anyone could just tell me if 3 buttons (call, C, hang up) ment to have a blue light in centre or not, would be great!

basically, it can survive falls from about 1metre (or more). I have drop it (accidentally of course) many times.. but everything still working fine. The scratches are minimal.

The tempered glass screen is absolutely brilliant!! My and the guys at work in our T-mobile store spent 10-15 mins combined trying to damage/scratch the screen using a stanley knife, corners of surfaces and keys.... not one left even the smallest of marks. An ideal phone for women who just chuck their phone in to their handbags with keys and many other items in there! You won't get a scratch.. excellent.

I own this phone and I thinks it great. I have had it for a few months now and have had no problems what so ever. Im sure most people who seem to right these reviews on here set out to break there phones. Battery life is good. Takes a day or two to get used to the touch sensitiveness of the phone but great phone. 5*

Hi, few questions; can u make it so when u shut the slide it returns to the home page? and can u turn the camera shutter sound off? ive looked about and i cant do either, but im sure there must be a way...cheers to anyone who can help and explain. and does anyone have a problem when u take a picture vertically and look at it in the media album it is rotated? but if u then go to rotate it bk in edit it is the correct way up?! really frustrating! it happens sometimes but not others. This is without a doubt the worst phone that I have ever had the misfortune of owning!!! Yes it looks cool, but thats as good as it gets... It includes an awful battery which i needed to charge sometimes twice a day, a terrible internal antenna, once the signal goes, the phone needs to be turned off and back on for it to regain signal! The "Touch Media" is a pointless gimmick, i doesnt allow you to do anything more, just a stupid processor and battery draining gimmick!!! The camera is poor even though its a 5mp one, face recognition doesnt actually work properly! All in all... steer very well clear of this phone, infact, I have been put off so much by this phone that I shall be steering clear of LG mobile's from now on!

My suggestion is that you go for LG KF700. It has more features comparing to others you specified.The most interesting feature is its large sized touch screen.

From the review at Cnet asia: "Our peeve with it? It was very confusing having to switch back and forth between the touch keys and the center button which requires you to physically depress it. For most of the menus, there are three options at the bottom edge of the screen. This baffled us even further. We didn't know when we had to press up (on the touch directional pad) or use the central enter button. And it didn't help that the area surrounding this conventional button was touch-sensitive, so we often ended up activating them accidentally. That's not all. While we like the option of having hard buttons for the call/end keys, on the Secret, it might as well do without them. To switch off 3G, go to settings, Network, Select Network, Manual, and choose your Network Service Provider that does not indicate 3G.

Hi there...love this phone but am currently having a problem. The messages are stuck in the outbox and can't be deleted. I have tried to take out the battery, sim card etc but all failed. There are now 3 messages stuck in the outbox and can't be deleted. It says it's sending but can't even cancel the sending.

To change the language to English, just press, menu, #, 2, 4, 2. Like i said, there will be mispresses until u r familiar with the position of the keys which takes a week to master. You owe me a pizza! :P

i just bought the kf 750 and i love it. it is so sleek and compact. and yes the back is real carbon fiber. the only issue i have right now is with tmobile getting my pop email to work. besides that the phone is a pleasure to have.

U can press the multitask button located in between camera and touch screen buttons to call up functions which you have used and did not exit properly. The first two icons are default. From there, click pause and "Back" all the way. Alternatively, at default screen, press the power button and a menu will prompt you to turn on/off audio.

I am the 1st to own this phone on 1st July, in Ipoh, Msia, $1999 retail price but got it for $1850 with 4gb card. Phone is beautiful, functions are great, but not so SMOOTH to use. Have to adapt to some flaws and take consolation from this beautiful form factor. The menu operates slowly and nearly sluggish at times but still at a tolerable level. This sluggishness can be to your advantage bcoz you will have more time to FLASH your beautiful phone while performing a simple function. What's the use of buying an expensive beautiful phone that operates as fast as a Ferrari where it will be back in your pocket in a FLASH. Now, which type of FLASH do you want?? Just take your time to operate it slowly and call it LG Patience instead of Secret, then you will feel great about it. Speaker sound is loud but treble too high despite equaliser settings. Using earphones sounds totally different and pleasurable. Videos are beautiful to watch with this screen, giving very high detailing and sharpness both 3gp and divx formats. Touchkeys are just a matter of getting used to it, which I require 7 days to have a good feel and minimal wrong presses. SMS a bit tiring due to the alphanumeric keypad average feedback. Visual & Audio Enhancement functions can be turned on & off but produce minimal results except draining the battery. Camera & Video menu settings cannot be operated speedily due to menu layout and touch sensitive keys. Pictures taken with sufficient lighting is beautiful but has an effect like wearing UV sunglasses. Objects with insufficient lighting will be discolored but u can tweak the settings. LED Flash totally useless for photography as it over-expose the object in focus. Videos are fun to use, especially slow-speed recording very useful. Imagine shooting a video of all the rooms in your house in 1 minute by running around, and then play back the video which moves slowly & steadily showing every detail of your whole house in 4 minute video which u can also add background mp3 music using phone built-in software. The LED Flash becomes useful for Video shooting as it illuminates like a torchlight in dark places. LG PC Suite Software can easily connect using bluetooth or USB which transfers files without hassle if you ......(secret!). One hint I can give you is, explore all the option settings available in Connectivity Menu so that you can set the right settings to use your phone with the PC efficiently. The manual is useless, many settings and sub-menus are not mentioned but have to be explored in all possible ways, horizontal, vertical, backflip, sommersault etc. gives you different/more options sometimes. The phone comes with a drama movie, which is called Battery. The battery life dramatically exhaust itself whenever you use it for games/videos/camera. My impression is the battery produces 45% energy compared with Sony K700i which is my previous phone. Probably the large display screen is the culprit. Try to turn off bluetooth, 3G, video & audio enhancements to save battery. Auto backlight helps too but if custom set to 50% would save even more. Signal strength is surprisingly better than my old Sony K700i. Oh yes, for all those who has been enjoying 3D Java Games, sad to say, this LG Secret could not run these games smoothly, it moves frame by frame, sigh! This is the only 1 flaw which I can't console myself, not even motion-sensor games. Despite the negatives, which is bound to have in any other phone brands/models, I still love my LG Secret for it's Beautiful Looks and Great Features in such slim size and long lasting materials used which also makes it weigh expensively. Ok, that's my 1st ever phone review and hope I am able to help you to decide whether to own this baby or not.

Had My Secret a day now. Impressed with the buld quality, but I feel its going to take some getting used to after m E900. Can anybody help me though, as I have a question... Im am on O2 in the UK and can not find the Google Apps Package anywhere. Do I have to load it in, or have I just missed it. Cheers all.

Hey, i was wondering if anyone can help me with a few problems... 1. How do you use smartlight? I cant find it anywhere in the photo editing options,is it antomatic? 2. I have tried powersave options, switched off pic enchancment but i still only get 12 hours battry, do u guys get that? Can you switch off keypad tones? Any other suggestions on getting better battry life? I am i need of help, Thanks to any replys!!
