worst phone i ever had. i paid $149 for this crap phone. VGA Camera :|, up to 4-5 songs, voice record is poor, no video, no radio, internet never worked, no usb cable to transfer, annoying message tones and the memory was like 10 MB max. not worth it at all!

SOFT? wat are u joking? compared to my current phone the LG's keypad is like pressing down on rocks. they are hard, slippery and are hard to distinguish without looking and very unresponsive. i could text twice as fast on my 6131 using tap texting than i could using T9 on the LG. my fingers are perfectly fine thank you very much, in fact they are incredibly fast when texting using a PROPER phone. anyone who has owned one of these or currently owns one should throw it away in favour of another phone. even the cheapest phones on the market have a better keypad. and has anyone mentioned the overheating while charging and calling? not helped by thin creaky cheapy cheap plastics..

this phone has a good design. the downside is that it only holds 8mb of memory. the controls r easy to use. the games that this phone comes with r not that interesting, only a boy that drives a car, throws things and balances on a train. my opinion is that u should only get this phone if u want to have bluetooth.

If you have trouble of your phone, security. You better reset the mobile phone. 1. Take out the Sims card out.(Exept battery) 2. Turn on the mobile. 3. If the screen says Insert Sims Card, ijnore it, 4. press keypad 2945#*# and the engine pops out. 5. look for reset and press it. 6. The phone is repaired! 7. Put back the Sims card 8. I've had this phone now going on 3 years and it has served me well,it's a perfect size and price ,The down side to this phone is the lack of memory space on there I'd love to have more MP3 ring tones on my phone and be able to receive picture messages from the newer phones,It would be good if you could delete the factory installed tones,mp3 and games as there annoying and take up space for what I want to put on my phone other than that I think this phone would be ok for a kids first phone.

i have been using this phone for nearly 2 years now. i think that camera is really low quality and should be able to record video. the music player is at the lowest standard, the phone should be able to multi-task like the nokia phones. the battery life is really poor. the keypad is very stiff and noisy. but some of the good things about this phone is that there is bluetooth.the pricing is very cheap. i think that this phone could have been better. i am deciding to get a nokia 3500 classic.

Well, Im really sorry for your case. Finding the keypad of the unit hopeless is insane. The keypad is good actually it is soft. If your having some problems with it, would you mind if you check your fingers?! haha, jowking..

no that length of battery life is normal. i use mine as a backup and the battery only lasts 2 days max on one charge. 5 mins of calls and its dead. the buttons on the phone are hopeless for texting..

My LG KG245 is only one year old and rarely used, just a backup in my briefcase, however I have a MASSIVE problem. I don't use bluetooth, the camera, games, memory or music. Nothing but receiving or making the odd call. Can anyone out there help please? On standby I am lucky to get 2 days battery life. Talk time I am lucky to get 20 minutes and the battery is dead.

I had the unit for about 2 years now ( if Im not mistaken ) and as far as I can say, its a good one.. First of all, it do looks good, so elegant.Well, another thing I like about it is that it holds charge well; Ive tried bringging it on our class closing party for two days and it stays on for the whole time. It keeps me worry free of someone might not been able to contact me.. haha! plus as of the moment, I do have six hundred plus pictures stored in it and MP3s as well..haha! cool! the one quite not like about the unit is its uncapability of having a memory card; on that way we can store more pictures and MUSIC!!!haha, another is that I cannot send multiple pictures at a time you have to send those pictures manually one by one. whOo! but all in all.. its a good device..haha!

hi im the same guy who posted the long one not far back from this one, to use the bluetooth, you go to the bluetooth menu and you can pair up with other mobiles by clicking options, then add new, a clever feature this phones bluetooth has that not many other (even expensive) phonse have is a feature that allows u to connect to other devices via bluetooth and search and extract files from them. its nice when u want a file from someone and they wont give it to you. :P but u have to be cautious with ur bluetooth usage, the battery life of my one last only 2 days MAX just standby, i bought my second phone after this one temporarily died. A WARNING TO ALL USERS: the battery cannot be charged for longer than 4 hours at anytime!! the battery does not stop chargin even when full, and when u discon the charger it may short circuit the whole phone and/or cause the battery to leak like wat mine did.

I have this phone from 2007 july and I really can't say nothing bad about it. battery isn't a miracle, but 3/4 days it works. For me it's good. The photos you can load in to phonebook if you take the photos in a smallest size. I'm really satisfied, it's a simple phone.

To answer the previous question, u cannot move the photos to the phonebook section - it is a gimmick. I have had this phone for just a few months and i find it is absolutely rubbish. It has a rather slippery surface and is very prone to dropping. if dropped too many times, many problems will arise from this. the battery cannot be charged overnight (4hours +) as it will shorten the battery life to no longer than 2 days max. the hinge is not very well put together and will cause squeaking after a while. also because the top section of the phone curves out from the screen (where it meets the black section) it is very easy to unintentionally knock the phone's top section, putting some strain on the hinge, thus loosening it and causing some annoying squeaking. Also there is no such thing as an mp3 player as the site suggests, it is sent to the "mp3 ringtones" section and when playing music, the phone cannot be closed. also if anyone wants to buy one NOW. i warn u, it is a rather old phone and should not be bought. it has lots of old programming and LG technology.

i got this phone as a present and i loved it because it was small and easy to use. I kinda became obsessed with keeping it scratch free for 8months and it payed off, not one scratch :) anyway my point is that kinda gets annoying u gotta be careful with it. for me the battery life sucked after a few months. i had the screen freeze on me a few times too :/

Its an ok phone, very basic multimedia capabilities. Durable for those who like dropping things! My screen broke when my friend tried to pull it from me and there were white lines all over the screen but (if its under warranty) easily fixed for no cost. The camera is pretty good if you keep the pictures on the phone. On the computer they look horrible and it could do with more memory and a video camera, also it can only fit 150 texts (inbox and outbox combined) Good first cheap first phone which can withstand a little damage. 6.5/10

I've had this phone for over a year now and have had no problems with it. It's a great phone for someone who doesn't need something really hi tech. Although i find its lack of video camera annoying. It also has a very small memory and can't hold much stuff. Its a good first phone. hope you enjoy it.

I've had this 11 months now. It was good and all when I first had it, but now, poor reception. Poor battery life. Also, occasionally while doing something, the screen goes blank and the buttons light up, leaving you with a frozen phone. Memory is poor, but that depends on what you use the phone for.

This is a ok if u can deal with a crap battery. the battery is extremely poor and and only lasts 24hrs at max. so glad i changed to samsung x680 brillant phone.

Don't buy this phone unless you are paying under $60. I used to sell these phones when they first came out, they were our money makers... biggest commission and easiest to sell because they look and sound like they are good... but really are rubbish compared to other phones at that price. Memory is horrible and will be a massive hasle if you really want to do anything other than call and text people. Sure the bluetooth is a bonus but not much good if you can't really store a thing... same with mp3s... probably fit 2 songs on there. Try ebay and probably get real cheap for this model but other than that don't buy.

Hey just a response to Lara. I am the guy that posted the response under you. As I said I have had this phone for a while now, and it is a great reliable phone. If you are looking for a phone to download heaps of things then this probably isn't the right phone because of its limited space. On the other hand if you are looking for a long lasting phone with some pretty good features then yes I'd suggest it. Hope that helps you a bit :)

I think this is a great phone for the price. But it isn't very user friendly. I've gone through most of my pre-paid credit trying to download supposedly compatible games with no luck. I did manage to transfer some free java game files from www.GetJar.com but I only managed to get the files to the "Others" folder via bluetooth and you can't open and install them from there. It's even more frustrating that there is no means of transferring them to the "Games & Apps" folder which I notice opens Java as soon as you click on it, so I expect that if they could be moved here, then they would install and work.I know that the files are not corrupted as I have successfully sent these to many friends' phones via bluetooth and they've all been able to install them and play the games straight away. If anyone has found a way to move such files to "Games & Apps" could you PLEASE send me an email detailing how you did it. I'd appreciate it very much.

to get photos on your computer, get a bluetooth dongle. i think they're like $10 on ebay. or u can get em from speciallised places, but ebays easiest.

im gonna answer a couple of questions 4 u guys 1st to get phone book pictures, when ur taking a picture go to options the use the arrows and change the photo size to 48x48....u cant do this once u have taken the photo 2 u can put a picture on the sub screen just get some one to send u a picture by blue tooth....once u hav the picture go to images / downloaded / then go to the picture u want as the sub screen background and choose options / wallpaper / sub screen hope thats helped o yeah i hav found the battery life is pretty good hasnt lost a bar after two days of standby

Well Hi guys I just recently got my kg245 and i am quite happy with it i figured out something wit the battery problem.. im guessing that you guys just started using the phone with the battery power the phone battery already came with im guessing thats true well anyways the trick to having more battery life is to Let the battery power from the battery staight out of the box Waste make sure the phone cant turn on from wasted battery then charge it and u will see the difference any problems msg me at [email protected]

What a fantastic phone.... With such high tech features-such as bluetooth! Its suprising how easy it is to use. I love it so much i though i would get two (just in case they discontinue it) Now i know i will be using this great piece of technogoly for a long time to come.

This phone is crap. You are unable to directly put images on the front LCD . You are unable to put images into your phone book directly. Bluetooth is basic and Connectivity is basic. The software on this phone needs an URGENT upgrade... but where do you get the upgrade? I work in Telecommunications and we have many major issues with this phone aside for the issues above mentioned. They constantly turn themselves off, the menue scrolling constantly freezes... that is if you are one of the lucky ones that can actually turn the phone back on. Which alot of ppl cant. Nokia make alot of budget/low cost phones - without the crap budget make. Nokias cheap phones have a better OS and a better track record. AND you can find games and MP3 ringtones compatible to those features on the phones. Not the best LG phone, but there seems to be the same added featur problems with all the LG phones. Maybe this is something for LG to investigate and rectify. But for a phone that makes calls, txt, and bluetooth handsfree, this is good.. if you can get it to work.

If you want to put a pic on the sub screen go into settings, then handset, then display settings, then wallpaper then sub lcd then there will be default or my stuff its got some photos in both. To see the pics after takin the photo go into the camera then the menu in it and turn auto save off.

I have not been overly happy with my lg kg245. i find transfuring pictures via bluetooth is un-necisarily time consuming and it will not accept any windows media files for ring tones. As well as all this batttery life is bad and lg accessories eg. car chargers are scarce. However the keys are a good size and it is easy to text fast.

for everybody who are trying to set a picture on the front screen.. you have to send the photo via bluetooth to somebody who has bluetooth and then get them to send it back to you. You then can go to settings, handset, displaysettings, wallpaper, sub LCD, mystuff and then your photo will be in there waitin to be set as a wallpaper

To sam to get ringtones you need a blutooth adapter for your pc(you can buy one at allphones for $30) or you need some one to send a tone 2 u. I don't know how to put pics on the front screen but i oped i helped.

There is nothing wrong with this phone it's not ment to be a mp3 player its only has mp3 so u can hav 1 as a ringtone and it dosn't have video because it dosn't have that much memory because if it did it would cost alot more so yeah if u want a good phone with heaps of features for a good price get it.

2 set a photo for contacts u take the picture in 48*48 and then it will save in the photo contacts folder.

Hi! I dont't think you can put photos on the Sub screen. I also had the problam with the whole bluetooth ringtones thing. It works great with photos and pics but not ringtones for a some stupid reason. How do you set a photo to a contact? Iv'e taken the photo but when i say add a photo it says that the phonebook photos are empty! Did anyone else have this disasterous problem? Please help me if you know what to do. Hi all, I bought this phone about a week ago and so far its been great, a problem arose the other day when i transferred an mp3 file from a mates fone to mine via Bluetooth. To JJPinklebum... That icon means that bluetooth is on. If you'd like to turn it off, Go to Menu>Tools>Bluetooth>Settings>Set Bluetooth, then you can turn it off from there. Hope that helped :)

Hey everyone, I just got the phone yesterday and I'm quite happy about it. I'm a bit jealous of my mum's more hi-tech Nokia phone but seeing as I haven't had a mobile for over a year, there's not much room for complaint here. I love the design... it's so sleek and pretty and light. I'm not having any problems with the backlight or anything - it's fine. I just tested it then and it stays on as long as I'm pressing the buttons. True enough, it doesn't have video features, but the camera quality is pretty good for the price, and if you really want some video, then just pay a couple hundred dollars more to get a more fancy phone. The games are kinda weird, but I'm not too hard to please... as long as I can call and text and take photos, I'm pretty happy. So I'm quite satisfied with this phone.

I think its great :D. I got it for Christmas it seems fine the features are excellent and i think the menu is fine. The only thing i dont like is the short battery life of the phone. The only thing that it also dosn't have is a video recording. But all for $109 :).

if your considering about getting this fone, dont be fooled by the design of it, it is not good at all, the menu layout is disgusting, with only 8mg of memory you are limited to only 4 mps, its very touchy and gets fustrated at times, lg has very bad fone models, i recomend, nokia or sony ericcson.

The main reason i chose this fone over the 6101 was due to its bluetooth. Plus its got more memory and doesnt have an antenna sticking out. The 6101 can take vids but with only 4.4mb, i doubt recording will be long. And tho it has a usb connection, a bluetooth dongle (AUS$15 on ebay) can fix that problem for the LG.

The lg kg245 is an okay phone for its features. it has a good camera nd enough room for about 4 mp3s if u reduce file size.a few bad things - the phone has to be on for the alarm to work -the menu is very bad plus does anyone know how to connect with bluetooth because it times out even after trying lgs advice with com ports on their faq. also does anyone know how to master reset and get rid of all the files?? thanks.

Someone said their mp3s werent working as tones.. It's playing every breath you take because you have cllaer groups set up in your phone. You need to go names, caller groups, enter each group and set the group ringtone. Hope this helps :)

I really like the phone, it has such a sleek design and the camera is great. Picture quality is fantastic and bluetooth is enabled...except, I don't know how to use bluetooth (i don't know whether it costs money, and i dont even know if it has the internet and whether using the internet on the phone is free). The only disadvantage is that it does not possess a video camera, but that is okay, as it was an affordable price to pay. Somebody please tell me though how to use bluetooth!!! Thanks.

Someone called Jelly Bean said there battery only lasted for 2 days!! This is because you didn't keep you're mobile charging until it has finished! At first you need to keep the phone charging until it is completly recharged otherwise you will get the problem you have at the moment!! My LG KG245 lasts for 3-4 days!!!

To bina, U must take a 48x48 resolution pic for it to get into phonebook photos! and yes, u can add other pics in the sub screen, but u have to download an image via bluetooth. get a blutooth dongle on ebay, and that should allow u to transfer images from ur computer. If u wanna use one of ur fotos that u took, then u have to upload it onto ur computer first (via bluetooth) then resend it back to ur fone

i think this is a great phone.i baught it about a month ago for AU$129 and i haven't had any problems with it. it's light, looks cool and has a fairly decent camera (for the price anyway). my only complaint is the fact that you can only record for 20seconds and that you can only have 10 recordings. about the problem with battery life, i haven't had any problems because i charge it everynight before i go to sleep and i unplug it the next morning. the other thing is it doesn't ring for long enough but that may just be vodaphone.

to stop the light fading then turning off you got to set the backlight on for longer by doing that u go to settings, then go to handset which is number 3, then go to back light, then there will b to things that come up click on them both n set them both for longer eg. 60sec

having some trouble selecting my own mp3 that i sent via bluetooth. i try to select in the menu but it won't even preview it there - and when i select it then it's totally silent when it rings! does this mean i can only use the crappy mp3s they gave me with the phone??

i bought this phone a few days ago and i think it was a good purchase for the price ($129 from vodaphone, unlocked for free). PROS: bluetooth is great. very easy to cusomise, camera is pretty good for a VGA(no lag . it keeps up with fast texting, very easy to navigate around, speaker phone with adjustable volume, CONS: very bad battery life, no video, no usb, comes with boring ringtones, no external memory and only 8 mb space, no power saving mode, cant delete default pics and ringtones to free up space, can only record 20 seconds of voice and to record songs the volume of the speakers must be VERY loud. RANDOM NOTES the screen isnt loose at all. yes you can set voice records as ringtones but only if you send the voice to your computer and back to the phone (via bluetooth). When it turns on it only takes less than 10 seconds after the animation before you can call/text, so there is no loading time for me. there are no vodaphone markings on it. the flash doubles as a torch at the touch of a button (be careful it is VERY bright) if i think of anything else at all ill post it

to sarah, clearly u havent ready my last post. reason the screen goes blank while typing is because u set the alarm and when the alarm goes off you cancel it by pressing the top right hand soft key. Dont do this. To close the alarm, just press the hang-up button (red button). Really only a small problem.

DO NOT BUY IT!!!... less than 4 weeks after buying this phone, i had to get it exchanged becuase the screen kept turning off while i was actually using it, like while i am actually pressing keys. Nice little phone. Only complaint I have at this point is the annoyance of capital letters. Even after a fullstop, the phone wont capitalise the following word. If I want to use a capital I have to switch from 'abc' to 'ABC' and then I have to cycle back to 'abc' for the next letter. Its irritating, but if theres a button to capitalise your next letter, or the one you just wrote, I have yet to find it.

My screen only goes blank after putting the alarm on, when the alarn goes off your first instinct is to press the top left hot key (stop). Dont do this, to cancel the alarm just press the hangup button (on/off button) to stop the alarm... If your screen goes blank because of something else other than the alarm, then i cant help you, but i reckon it is the same problem as i had, just do what i said ;)

This phone doesn't have video. Also, the phone is very new so its extremely hard to find any ringtones, games, covers, cases for this specific model. The only thing you can get is an LG compatible charger. Otherwise, you have to wait a few more months before KG245-specific products turn up.

I had this phone for close to a week and I'm very pleased with the buy based on the features it offers with its incredibly low price. A few things I noticed with the phone that could be improved is the weight of the phone is inclined towards the top part of the shell. It will be better if the bottom part is heavier than the top for comfort purposes. Also, the angle of the phone could be wider so that the bottom half of the phone won't be touching the face when in use. A cool feature I discovered is that there are frames you can use for the camera if you set the size to 128 by 160 and change the (still) option. A question I have for people who use this phone is how long does the battery last for you? I only had a max of 40 hours with some usage here and there. How about you?

to eden, yep, thats the best way to put mp3s in the fone. And yes the memory will go down. What i do is to just extract the part of the song u like (i use nero sound editor), meaning it wont take up as much memory

I found out how to put mp3 on the phone but then i saw the memory status is 7736 kb, if you put a song on will the memory status go down. P.S u need a bluetooth Doogler, its a usb that goes into youre comp, u can send mp3 to your phone

I've had this phone for a few months now and i was pretty disapointed about the camera, it has no vidio :( and also on the sub sceen at the front of the phone the camera sometimes goes green, but otherwise I'm pretty happy with it. And I'm really glad it has blurtooth, but it world be better of it came in differend colours and had a 3G network.

i didnt get mine directly from vodafone, but when i was in one of the voda the store, the guy said its not locked. In the end, just check if it works, if it doesnt, unlocking the fone is free anyway.

u make up a password when it asks u in ur fone. then when the pc asks for permission and requries a password, u type in the same thing u typed in ur fone. And vice versa if its the other way around. hope that helps.

are u sure u changed the resolution using 48x48? And you can only save fotos as 48x48 when the phones OPEN, meaning taking self portraits (with the fone closed and using the sub screen) wont work as 48x48.

Just got the phone yesterday... Quite like it. Great styling, pretty light, buttons are quite useable... Ringtone quality is relatively good, better than my SagemMY-X7 but not as good as my Sony Ericsson T630's polytone quality.. The main LCD is quite good, even though it doesnt really look like a 262K screen to me... Sub LCD is pretty funky with the fluoro Date and Time.. Camera quality is reasonable, but the added Torch/Flash is really cool... Only disappointed that my bluetooth dongle doesnt support this phone... and I can't find any PC managers that use bluetooth for this phone (and is free)

I purchased one about 2 weeks ago, must admit. I never thought this cheap phone could do so much. Pricewise, this handset is unbeatable. Its only rival would be the v360 which is full of shortcomings and not to mention looks ugly ( i owned one before this). As for the camera, safe to say that its the best 640x480 camera phone out there. the screen is perfect for displaying pictures and give excellent clarity even for its 128x160 specification.

The camera is a Video Graphics Array (VGA) camera and has a maximum photo size of 640x480 which equates to approximately 0.3 megapixels. May not sound much but does the job on the spot.

just bought this phone - $150 - oh my god! Such a bargain :) I thought, as a result of its cheap price, it would be very fragile. But guess what - I Dropped it on the Bitumen ROAD the other day. Bang - It opened up, and I was thinking "NOOOOOO i broke it already!" But alas it was fine. Just a tiny sctatch. So it's a top notch phone!Only downside is it's battery life. Good work LG.

How do you change the message tone and how can you change the buttons to stop beeping but not by putting the phone on silent? goto settings, profiles, general, personalise, and udner keypad volume, turn it all down. then go back and activate general. To Libby, U have to save the contact to the handset. Then take a foto of that person ONLY in the 48x48 size foto. This will automatically save it the phonebook pics, then u can edit that contact to have a pic. U wont be able to see the pic in the sub screen tho, only in the main screen when u open the fone up. hope that helps

YEP, supposedly this fone doesnt support wap in the vodafone service, only thru GPRS. They're supposedly working on it, hopefully they find a fix on it soon. Still cant get over that side to side movement of the flip, it feels so loose, everytime i pik it up i feel it move. Bad build quality, anyoen think they'l replace it? lol

One is this balance game where you balance the other is one where you drive and the other is one where you throw� these are just very basic games. I don�t know what a vga camera is thought. To Confused. Not much compatible with the fone so just get a bluetooth dongle for $16 on ebay and u can put mp3s from ur computer to the fone, plus pics (jpegs, gifs)

2 problems i found with this fone from the time ive had it is the one i stated b4 (screen shuts down, after the time u want the backlight to last, once the alarm has gone off...tho i stated the fix) and recently the subscreen kinda stopped working cus it only showed the top line i.e battery, reception symbols...with the time and date just blank...i tried to fix it by pressing the side buttons and opening and closing the clamshell but to no avail... so i just restarted the fone and whala... dont kno what caused it, i was just mucking around with the fones features.... looks like LG's true build quality is starting to show...not good not good!

i bought this phone recently and have found its great. bluetooth is a real positive and the camera is high quality. if u are having a tough time choosing for phones in the 150 to 250 price range i reccommend buying this one over the Nokia 6101. nokia has infared lg has bletooth. Oh n Nokia has 3.5 memory while this phone has 7.8 memory which means you can store way more stuff. oh and its also cheaper. th only con is it doesnt have video camera but thats it the rest is great.

Yeah, U can out any photos you've taken on the camera, or sent via blutooth on the front screen. I reccomend resizing them first in a program like photoshop, makeing them exactly the right size (96x64 pixels) for the sub lcd. Then just view the pic under my foler and images, press options, set as wallpaper, and select sub lcd. easy!!

I've tested bluetooth with Bluetooth file exchange on a mac. once you have pair bonded you can drag and drop media files to and from the LG245 using BROWSE but only into the my stuff directory. i don't think you can install midlets(java)using SEND as it won't accept the JAR files. I"ve yet to test java install over the WAP browser. I like the feel of this phone and the functionality of the exterior LCD, with a flashlight and viewfinder.

Best place to get better ringtones is from ur computer... mp3's. Buy a bluetooth usb dongle/adaptor (i got one for $16 on ebay!) so u can transfer files (mp3's, midi's, jpegs, gif animation) from ur computer to ur fone. No u cant put fotos, thats in ur fone, into ur front screen, only images can. BUT there is a way around it.--> get that usb bluetooth i said b4, put the foto u want from ur fone into ur computer, then put it back into ur fone in the images folder... this should allow u to put the foto into the subscreen at the front. hope that helped

- Nokia has 4.4mb shared memory, the LG has 7.8mb - the Nokia has old-school infra-red, the LG has bluetooth - LG has a 256k TFT screen, Nokia only has 65k screen - LG is heaps cheaper than the Nokia, yet has features that you'd expect for something much higher - conclusion= u want a famous brand with features u expect for the money, get the nokia. If you want something cheaper, slightly smaller, in my eyes better looking, with heaps of features for the buck, and has bluetooth (something more common these days) get the LG.

The Nokia can record video, the KG245 can't. The Nokia has FM stereo. the KG245 doesn't. The Nokia 6101 is a bit more expensive than the LG one. HOpe that helps a bit... :)

THe phone has 7.8mb free space for fotos, mp3's. though, i dont think contacts take up any of that space. 7.8mb is enough, i download mp3s from my computer to the phone, not whole songs as it'll take up alot of space, i chop the mp3 up to the favourite part of the song only, and it only takes about 300-700kb. As for computer transfer, the best way is to get a usb bluetooth dongle, i just received mine today ($16AU on ebay! rather than $60AU at an electronic store) and it is so amazing how u can put computer images/music into this phone. this fone is tops! tho one con is that when i was charging the fone last night, with the alarm set, but the fone shut down for some reason and didnt go off in the morning, this might just be a one off thing, not sure yet.

One con i noticed is once u set the alarm, and the alarm goes off, the backlight of the screen just shuts down after the 0/10/20/30 seconds you set it to....u press the buttons on the keypad to turn the screen back on but to no avail. Its been happening everytime the alarm goes off. the fix i found was to open, then close the clam shell until it eventually 'remembers' to light up when u press a key, OR turn the camera mode on, it'l correct it straight away ;)

Found out how to save a pic to a contact, u must save ur contact to the phone, NOT the sim. As for recharging the phone, no idea, i started using it straight away lol. but when i had to charge it up, it took about an hour or two if i remember correctly, but i was playing around with it while charging. For downsides about this phone, the flip part feels abit loose (u can make it move side to side abit, especially when closed). Other than that, vodafone doesnt offer WAP support for this fone (which i dont mind cus i dont like wasting my credit), tho supposedly they're working in making it compatible. Battery life is pretty average, took me about 2 days until it had 1 bar left, tho i did play around with the features from time to time.

Dont like how u cannot delete the default mp3s that come with the phone. I hope you can delete ones that you download as well. Yes u can change the front LCD pic, but not with a foto, only with an image. u go to 'My Stuff' go to images, to to downloaded and there u can have the option of setting it as a wallpaper in the main or sub screen. Does anyone know how to set a picture to a contact? i took an ealier advice about setting the camera size to 48x48 and it automatically saves it to phonebook pictures, but how do u assign that pic to a contact?

also... YES you can set photos you take yourself as contact pictures... simply by changing the camera settings in camera mode to the 48X48 pixel size.. it will automatically save that image into the phonebook pic album

OMG!! well i had to send it back to Vodafone cause they quote "lost" the unlock code, then they send out refund, then find code, and now it's finally here...dad just txtd me... hope its unlocked this time, but omg for the price u cannot go wrong and now i have $50 bucks free cred from Vodafone!! yaya!! so ill just buy tones and pics w. that and use my Virgin sim other times, im soo happy!!! lol, and u get pics onto ur pc via bluetooth, sum1 wanted to no that, lo, ;)

I now have this phone... no there is no video recording... perhaps people got mixed up with its voice recording feature. The closest thing they have to video recording is "multi shot" camera, where it takes about 5 stills in quick succession. YES the sub LCD shows what your taking a photo of while you have the phone closed. And I just burned my eyes discovering it has a torch. My question is.. does anyone know where I can get telstra settings for this phone? I have already unlocked it for free from vodafone, but WAP stuff isnt working.. on the telstra site they only have three LG models available for settings. Does anyone know if the settings for one of those models will work for this phone?

Pros: Smaller than my Z1010 (what was I thinking!?!,looks great, great price, good set of features (bluetooth to pc works fine, easy to use menu, many functions included similar to more expensive phones. Cons: Clam shell feels rather unsturdy, doesnt feel rugged enough to survive a drop, tiny memory for mp3 ringtones, crap camera. Its a clam shell ... so yesterday ;-)

Its an excellent phone for $149 through vodafone AU. Battery life is a typical LG (average). Browser through GPRS is very average but can still do yahoo mail etc. Signal quality is good. You cant find a better phone for the price.

You cant assign ringtones to individual contacts but you can to caller groups. There are 7 groups you can use.

people should just realize that just because a phone can't do everything like bluetooth and camera n video n infrared doesnt mean its a bad phone...as long as it looks great and works well i have no problem with it...people should realize that no phone out there at the moment is 100% perfect they all have some flaw..whether its one or more...we should appreciate the fact that we own phones ...

hey i tried to download a ringtone, and when i try to load it it says "invalid settings". I know it is not my sim card because i have downloaded ringtones off it before,(on my old phone),and there was never any problem. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, how did you solve it? What a totally sick fone!! It's awesome, and sooo cheap, and it's with Vodafone, and they unlock it for free so you can use it with any network, sweet!! I love the front screen, and with a features list like this, u'd be expecting more like $250 or something. Just awesome. If you need a good, cheap fone and ur on a budget, don't you dare leave an LG KG245 in ur local mobile store!!

You can download pics to your computer if your computer has bluetooth. The secondary LCD can be used as a viewfinder as well.

hey answering belveders question (sorry if i spelt it wrong) you can change the other tones such as folder tone, message tone etc. go to settings then profile select general or loud, then go to personalise and it has a selection and you can choose what you want as your ringtone, message tone, keypad tone, flip tone and the loudness you want all of these.

I just bought one, very nice phone for the price. The only things I found I don't like are that you can only change the ringtone (no other sounds) and the buttons on the side of the phone are very sensitive, so it turns your volume down and takes photo's on it's own
