I had to comment since this was my best phone ever.. I had this as a gift from my sister when i was just starting college. It was so beautiful and trendy by then. I had this phone until i graduated. I still have this but there are some troubles already because i stopped using it after i brought my own cellphone. I just love it so much :) im an LG fan.

I bought this phone, because i liked specs and phone look. Camera makes good pictures, only thing. But everything else is not good. Places where is little bit weaker network signal, or little bit more shilded environment - a phone looses network connectivity. Screen won't work correctly, a cause of this is slide. Moving slide breaks a cable inside phone. I have 2 years this phone and i have used it only rearly and i have a screen problem because slide moving. A waste of money ....

First I wanna comment on the LG Hater - what the heck are you doing dropping it? Weirdo. I really like this phone. We actually got it for free as a reward and I think it's nice. The design is nice and the camera quality is good too. I love playing music here. Though the battery doesn't last that long. Still great.

i recently bought this phone and i must say i'm impressed with the phones features and performance so far: the actual internal memory is 80MB but only 60MB is useable, only minor drawbacks of the phone is the wuality of the camers, sound get drowned whenever i am outside, screen visibility suffers in direct sunlight.what i like is the battery life takes 4 days to drain on standby normal usage on sms 2-3 days. i also got a free extra battery when i purchased it at the store. a recommended "basic/introductory 3G" handset.

I bought this phone through internet and it cost me �20 about a week ago, i did it because of 3 things, first it's very cheap, second i unlocked it myself using a usb cable from my KG800 Chocolate, and three because it's 3G, Holds a 2 GB card, funny i have put my 16 GB microsd card of my nokia 5800 and it read 3.5 GB,LOL. So it can read SDHC cards, although just 3.5 GB. Not bad, for a �20 Phone. But it becomes very slow with a 2 GB microsd card, let alone a 16 GB, so i use only a 1 GB card and it's speed increased by 100% at least. Funny thing, this phone has a arm 9 cpu which is the same than the Nokia 6630 and N70 with 220 MHz, but still it is not a match for these two i just mention. All-in-all it's a nice phone, but it's not the best 3G phone of it's category, not by a long shot.

A friend of mine tried to send me a picture but I cannot find it anywhere. A picture of envelope appeared to the right corner of the screen and a top of the envelope was an exclamation mark. So there was no new message in messagebox but the envelope just stays on screen. Sending a picture is an multimedia message (I think) so what do I have to do to see the picture? Thanks

used to love the phone,,problem is the volume, i often have 5 to 10 miss calls, when i use the headset still having problem hearing the music.. it easily shuts off, then when u text there is a delay in typing.. so it ends up bringing the phone to the nearest technician, w/c cost me around 1700 to check it, and yes when they check it there are lots of problem.. the phone is cheap but u have to spend another dime for the worst things of it.. hope LG did not sacrifice their name, just to sell..

Great phone the latch to the microSD slot broke :( but was easily fixed with my good friend cellotape and I am using a 4gb SDHC card.. It works fine this phone can take any microsd card not just transflash

The specs here are wrong! this phone supports edge and hscsd. i got mine last week and it is awesome and works very well. easy to transfer mp3 files. also i use as a modem to my computer. up to 550kbps speed of connection! if you want to play mp3 with a good sound and nice volume, i suggest you should first edit your mp3 files like using a cool pro edit. i tried it and my mp3 files sounds good. supports up to 2gig of sd micro memory. battery last 3days. unlike nokia which last a dsy or too. It has internal and external camera. no flash but it captures good even it is a 1.3 mp. Durability of this phone or any phone will depend on the user of course. and be careful to where you plug to a pc. be sure it's virus free!

I agree on arturiasaber flash? flash ur ass men..haha i love this lg model, so handy, cute and very competitive price. even if its 1.3 mega pixel only it has a very good resolution for capturing photos and videos too. cool phone, just a plug and play and ur pc/laptop can recognize the device, or if not try installing the mini cd inside the box of your lg and refer to ur effing!! manual men.. user friendly phone and battery is quite good, can last upto 3 days. kudos to LG!!

you actually dont nees the software to put in music on ur phone just let the computer detect it as a mass storage device and like any MSD just click and drag the file over.

For people having problem transferring files, just set your phone to mass storage. Go to Menu>Connectivity>USB Connectivity Mode>Mass Storage. In that mode, you don't need LG PC Suite anymore. For the person who posted LG KU380 having a flash, you are fooling no one by posting that one. In fact, it only proves that you must be from other makers and fear this model, or just a kid still sucking on your thumb and just did it out of pure ignorance. Anyway, this model is really one of the best LG has ever released, meaning Price:Performance ratio. You really can't find another model better than this one within it's price range. Although, 1 thing about LG is that the screens on most phones are quite small, just like on KU380. KU380 would definitely be a great phone if only they place at least a 2" 240 x 320 screen. Battery life is just so - so. Nothing too great about it. But hey, at least unlike Nokia, this once can actually lasts 3 days with normal use. I have a lot of Nokia phones and they all shared the same battery issue. 7 out of 7. Now that's just too many to be factory defect. Anyway, I hope LG would continue releasing models like this one with a competitive price. Who knows, they might go par to par with SE. Congratulations LG!

ku380 is so cute. but there are some features that are not available in this handset. u cannot personalise the themes and cannot download games because of the games setting or configuration of the phone. but im quite satisfied about this product.

Great features for the price, but like others have said, quiet ring means missed calls. Other thing that sucks big time is the PC Suite. Hard to find to download, unreliable, and lacking features. So far only way I've found to install Java apps is download via wap browser and pay data charge. Unless LG fix PC Suite, I'll never buy another of their phones. Pity, because otherwise quite good.

my ku380 (unlocked yoigo version) has a bad memory leak when running *any* 3d games (i.e. its jsr-184 is broken). don't expect 3d applications to work without running out of memory or crashing

do not recommend: - Ring is only ascending and starts very very low. By the time you hear it ringing, the person calling usually hangs up. - Does not have FM radio. - Very fragile, after a few weeks of use the slide up screen it's already a bit lose. - Photos taken with camera cannot be secured i.e password security. - Sliding down the screen doesn't lock the keypad straight away, the minimum set time is 5 seconds. **Update as per DEC 08 - Inside camera stopped working after 8 months - Speaker often stops working. So basically the phone is broken after 8 months of regular use (I'm not a heavy user at all!). I hate this phone, will never buy a LG phone again.

Just got the phone and I must say that I am really impressed, though the camera is only at 1.3M, still the quality is near excellent. Only thing I may complain about is the battery life, although it may be because of poor signal or other network related issues, it tends to drain before the day is over. At it's current market price, I would say this is a must have for people who want budget 3G phones. Excellent product from LG.

LG KU380 do have a camera in front. Just go to the camera options and then they have this "Swap Cam" option. Kust select the "internal" and it will shift to the front camera. So far my I'm happy with my KU380.

my problem is about the bluetooth of my LGKU380. i got this phone thru a postpaid plain that iv applied in globe telecom last january2008. so apparently the phone is exlusive to globe sim cards only. the thing is, i decided to have this unit open line coz i want to go back to using smart sim card bec im having problems with regards to signal of globe. it causes me distress coz u have to go to the window just to send a mssg. the signal of globe is indeed bad in our area. now, after the line has been opened, i noticed that i can't use my bluetooth. the screen shows YOU MUST SET BLUETOOTH ADDRESS! does it have something to do when i decided to open the line so i can use smart sim as well?? pls help me.... thnx! and just one comment, the phone is good it's just that the quality of keypad is horrible! after u have used it for several months, the keypad looks dirty! kinda yellowish, even if u make sure ur fingers are clean before using the phone... they could have used a glossy, much harder material so it would not look yellowish.

yeah this phone got a video call.. but before u wan to make a video call u all must make sure that ur sim is 128k not 64k.. 64k sim is a normal sim,that only can make voise call.. so u must upgrade ur sim at the nearest branch letter then they will give u sim 128k that mean 3g sim,so after that u can make a video call... In this phone, to assign a picture to the caller, you have to first save the contact to you hand set, then you can assign the picture to the caller. If the contact is transferred from your old phone - it would not work unless it's is saved to handset first.

Well the keypad does'nt light up im really dissapointed about this phone. The guy told me it holds music well in my dissapointment when i got home no music well i have a prepaid t-mobile sim in it and im happy i dont have Vodafone i just dont like the name dont like anything about that company as i heard this company plans are expensive and such.Im a fan of slide and swivel phones but i did not like it. My old t-mobile Nokia 5300 was way better from camera to calls first of all this phones camera works way awfull in night or such and you go to the internal camera[[have two cameras front and back of the phone some of the not many reasons i still like it]] well if you turn into the internal side of the camera in your house at night is awfull it gives a disorted look and really bad same as the back of the camera i dont belive is 1.3 megapixels no music i hate the keypad really small i liked my nokia 5300 and at least a color man only black and i think white eww i had my old phone in Lillac loved it the guy that sold me this phone for 150 totally ripped me off the screen is way small for me well is slim but when you look on the inside dont even be happy you would regreat this phone i would get a new sidekick better features instead of this one dont even have a stopwatch so many cons curse you Vodafone T-mobile is way better in my opinion The only theme i could get is the black the white is awfull and in the box it came with a car charger it was soo mean Luckily my dad had a charger from LG that fit my phone the headphones are ugly again S!dekick is wayyyy better than this

I have both ku380 and ku250 and they are similar regarding software applications. The keypad in ku250 have the problem that you can easlily get out of internet owed to de key disposition ("too near keys"). As a modem both are great. Besides that there are no remarkable diferences. The choice only depends on what do you prefer: Candy bar design or slide design. (I think that candy bars are more durable and slide more fashionable).

there's no way I can download other cool apps with this phone. Themes, flash, etc. Yes, the loudest volume of this phone is not loud at all. It's just moderate for me. Is there any other way I can delete the songs I downloaded without losing it in the folder where I moved those songs? Yes, I have tried downloading the PC suite and I was able to download music and wallpaper but not screensavers...swf file should be supported..there should be lots of improvements with this phone..and the pictures saved on Contacts, when you delete the pictures in the main image folder, it's also gone in Contacts. It should stay, like Nokia.

I do not recommend: - Ring is only ascending and starts very very low. By the time you hear it ringing, the person calling usually hangs up. - Does not have FM radio. - Very fragile, after a few weeks of use the slide up screen it's already a bit lose. - Photos taken with camera cannot be secured i.e password security. - Sliding down the screen doesnt lock the keypad straight away, the minimun set time is 5 seconds. Definatelly i do not recommend, i will trade mine for a diferent model.

my company issued me this fone but i dont like the color white with yellow-green somthing in the middle. i like the other color which is black. this fone is quite okay. although the camera is not that good, it is just fair for its price though. i dont know if this also comes with free microSD since i have my ku 380 without a microSD. unlike my n73ME which has free 2GBminiSD.

well...to be honest I like the phone really much but I have big problems with it...it shuts down often without a reason...I have sent it to the service,they gave it back and I had the same problem...I went back...they gave me an other phone,the same type but this also shuts down without a reason...I thought that is a software problem...they have resofted it but it still has the same problem..I'm not pleased with it because you know how it is to expect an important call and when I take it off my pocket I see that it doesn't work..I have to take off the batery and put it again to turn on.If I don't do it...it doesn't work anymore. I really need to know if is someone that has the same problem. With the sound is the same thing I have ascending ringtone...and it doesn't work to change it...

RINGING dilemma on LG face it! itz really ascending. I have no problem with it because you can intercept the call before it cries out loud for all the people around you to hear. unless you want to broadcast you're favorite ringtone from the very beginning of the custom ringtone you just set up with your voice calls... fat chance. you can experiment the different voice call ringtone types if you want max ring + vibration, vibration first then ringtone...... SPEAKERPHONE VOLUME adjustment just press the ok button to enable the speakerphone (speakerphone is enabled when you see the sound icon has a red x beside it....indicating that if you press the OK button again, you will disable speakerphone) now to adjust the volume of the speakerphone/speaker, just press the up and down arrow keys. hope i help! if there's anyone who knows how to update the firmware of this fone, pls tell me how. my firmware is v10. THe problem with this phone is that when i transfer anything through Bluetooth to a P990i fone, i notice that all of the transferring files in progress have a square after its filename (ex. test.mp3) i symbolize the square as . so what happens is that, the p990i just deletes the file automatically after the BT transfer is completed...... the result is, the transfer is complete but p990i deletes the file right there and then after the transfer. is that a bug with my phone or p990i? hope someone can help me.

i'm not so satisfied with this phone. i have the same ringing problems like and i don't know if it's something by default or not and the mic also is not performant. please share your opinion with ringing tone, it seems i'm not the only one with this problem.

if you want to make the standby screen to be permanent, just select the menu>settings>screen>backlight>OFF. the screen will be permanently on BUT in a dimmed POWERSAVE brightness setting. at least you will see the screen continously. albeit, battery life will suffer. for me, i don't have any problems with the battery. it can last two days if i didn't use it much. but since i use to make voice calls, BT file transfer, texting....... it will last me more than 24hours then i charge it again. i wouldn't charge it until the battery cries LOW BAT.

Is it normal for any missed calls and meassages you receive not to show on the screen? It shows on the screen for 30 or so seconds but then the screen goes completely blank (likes its off) not showing a symbol of a missed call or a sms. YOu then have to push a button or slide the phone to check. I find this very annoying as i dont want to have to keep pushing a button or sliding the phone to check for sms' or missed calls. Anyone else notice this?

one of the best phone i ever had. there's an mp4/mp3/3gp player. nice camera. good battery life. but very low speaker. i can't hear the music that much. and the other problem is, i have a 1gig memory card and whenever i search its contents, videos for example, it is really slow! is there a way to hasten its performance? but over all its a great phone.

People you make me cheer. Are you blind or are you Nokia and ther fans? This phone have a perfect display (for 176x220 ofcourse) very would speaker, mp3 and mp4 player (with fullscreen of all display, not like Nokia 5300 with fullscreen who can't play clips with fuul displey ressolution 320x240), Very goo slide mechanism (not like Nokia 5300 and Samsung E950 who can't close himself), a multisession, a 3G, No the crashing joypad of SE, two cameras with good cuality, memory card slot. And the best of all is the chocolate like look, but lith very low price. And if someone write "the keypad sucks" dont trust hit, because Only person who never tuch this phone can write it.

awful keypad! I saw such inconvinient keypad for the first time in my life. the phone itself isn't very pecial, just 3G and nothing more. would not recomend it!

the specs posted in this site doesn't say that it has an FM radio. it just says there is an MP3/MP4 player, and not a radio. actually, it is a nice phone. a cheap one compared to a nokia, almost similar to the N70. i was actually surprised that it has a memory card slot.

The pixel of the camera is not really 1.3 MP because the pictures taken using the phone are not clear. Also, there is no FM radio in the phone which is in contradiction with the specs posted in this site.
