  • There are 2 versions of the magna- a 4G one and a 3G one, you should check the number of the device- if it's a H502F ot H500F, which indicates the difference and or check such sites , , etc.

  • If you use the "Assistive Touch" app or other app that you recently installed that has an effect on the permission settings of LG Magna, don't be surprise! "screen overlay" frequently appears! This is what i do: go to (settings ---> general ---> apps ---> on the upper right hand corner of the screen, you'll see 3 vertical "Dots!" Select or press it! ---> select Configure apps ---> Draw over other apps ---> select the app or apps that you might think that has an effect on the app that you are using. ( in your case, your contacts or gallery doesn't open because of the screen overlay.) ---> try to select an app and turn it off for awhile. Like the app that i'm using. Assistive touch! I turn it off (or set the permission to "No") for awhile, then i go back to the app that i'm trying to open before and set the necessary permissions that the app needed. (Camera, contacts, phone, location etc...) And I go back to Assistive touch again and turn the permission On or "Yes". Problem Solved!

  • For me I have LG magna h520y still didn't recieve the 6.0.1 update because of my region LG told me but it will be there soon so I am telling you about my experience on android 5.0.2 also I have been using it for one year it handles any game anything the phone will heat up if you play really really heavy game the phone will be like 45 but leave it for 10 minutes it will cool down I played really really heavy game and my storage is full and it got from 100 to 79 without stopping to play and charging time is normal for my normal use the battery stills for 7 hours then it becomes 15 and when it comes to 15% the battery will be 0 in like 30 seconds but I still have multitasking problem it never opens 2 apps at the same time the 4g data speed is extremly fast but the video lags first 10 seconds but sound doesnt on facebook and youtube app only from web it doesn't hope this will help you.

I had installed my phone with two differents 6.0 firmware (Indonesian and CIS firmware), but battery percentage always inaccurate and drop significantly (like 100% drop to 94% for 2 mins, and stuck at 94% for a long time). I think it's because unstable 6.0 firmware and we should wait for another update for this problem.

  • Such a shit of a cell phone. The camera is terribly bad. Horror of focus. It fell to me for the first time. He had hard mask and tempered glass when it fell and now i have problem with temperature of cpu. It very fast warmed. And sensor of Proximity sensor does not work any more. Such of crap.   • Since the upgrade from 5.0.1 to Marshmallow 6.0, the GPS of my LG Magna H500f doesn't work properly anymore. When I launch Google maps using high accuracy, the GPS will often not update my position as I am traveling, it will lag FAR behind where I actually am on the calculated route. The only way to get this to update is to re-calculate the route. Does your GPS function well after the upgrade?

  • Hi all, i confirm the Lg Magna has completely revived with Marshmallow update. Zero lag and more ram available.

  • After update to Android 6.0 cell phone (LG H502Y) is faster, it is better in signal reception it is better showing battery percentage but it consumes battery faster (20%), it uses more RAM, it is warmer by 5 Celsius when working hard and GPS is functioning partially. It cannot lock signal but it sees satellites.

  • I'm sorry if my comment is late but I'm going to tell you my experience My first 4 months using this phone is still smooth like new , switching between apps is not slow but not fast.(but you can find a little lag) The fifth month until now, it's becoming slower and slower, i only meet this problem when my phone is around >50% battery. Switching between apps is kinda annoying now Camera : day outdoor is nice - night outdoor is poor Indoor with low light is poor luckily there is led flash - indoor with enough light is not so bad Video recording : for me, the quality is quite satisfying Gaming : i don't like gaming, i only play final fantasy record keeper, card wars AT, and rise of berk. It rarely heats up, but 100% you will feel a slight warm Heating : will only heat up if you use it nonstop (especially watching youtube) Battery life : first bought it, screen on time lasts quite long now, not so long

  • Go to: Settings - General - Apps and then choose some app for example CM Lite and then press button "Move to SD card" I can move most of apps part on my phone to sd card with this steps. I was move apps on sd card on this way in my old LG l4 phone also without problems. After moved app on sd card was updated from google play there is again automatically moved back to phone memory. You must again move it to SD card manually.

Camera is good battery life also only storage space is little problem but I can move part of almost every app to sdcard and so get more space.   • yes, i've received an update today. thought it would be marshmallow but it's a minor update without big change on Magna performance.

  • Anything you would think for a decent phone at it's price point is there on Magna. (Sometimes even going way above from it's price point on some aspects) If you're okay with an average camera and an 8GB (actually 5GB cause of bloatwares and stuff, but you can expand it to 32GB) ROM, then go for it. But if you're still not satisfied, I suggest you wait for this year's LG's midrange lineup of smartphones which is way better than Magna and that is the LG K10..

  • Anybody received an update this week? I updated mine, I dunno but it's just a minor one and still on 5.0.1. I do noticed a lot of fixes especially the animation lags while scrolling down the recents list. I dunno we might wanna discuss out here all the changes. BTW, awesome phone so far.   • The only problem this phone have is how small the internal memory is and how bad the ram management is (the app such games cant be moved fully to sd card which still left alot of app data in internal memory due to Android lollipop 5.0 rom) the bad ram management is when you open few app and when you open it the app needs to reload again AND ITS ANNOYING, others like camera, heat, batterylife, gps, speaker, earpiece, and day to day task is about average, it would heat and lag if play intense 3d games over an hour. You can get better specs buying zenfone2 ze550ml(2gb ram 16gbinternal) or the new honor 5x with fingerprint scanner. Hope this helps

(quality of pix is more like a 5mp / 3mp camera) internal storage is 8gb but you could only use 3gb internal storage ( almost 5gb is taken up by the OS files and back up... i bought a 16gb microSD for external memory.. seems il be fine as long il move my app files to the SDcard.. battery is ok, could stand for 10 hrs streaming youtube vids and HOOQ movies when fully charged... =)

  • You need to be rooted to install an app called folder mount this will move your obb files to the sd card and link2sd to force move your apps. (all apps can be found in the play store)

With 2540 mah and mediatek, it has a long live. 5. Downloadable LG android themes. You'll love these. 6. Compatible with QuickCircle case. It looks very nice. 7. The price has drop significantly. I get mine at about $120. Cons 1. As you can guess from the spec, performance is poor. You only get about 3/4 to 1/2 performance from the same price phone available. It will lag when you try to open heavy webpages. Tho, playing games is ok. I don't find any trouble playing CoC. But well, it gains long battery life because of this. 2. Without additional SD card 8 GB is too small. You only get 3 GB for your own data. 3. Made in China (LG is usually made in Korea). Tho, handset warranty is still 1 year and accessory is 6 month. 4. I don't quite understand what the designer think, but somewhat the antenna is at the bottom of the phone. So when you hold it, it loses some signal.

  • I am using LG magna , battery is fantastic, UI of the phone is so beautiful that you dont feel that you have bought a phone for 12k. internal memory is less but u need to clear the cache data. It does not hang, playstore opens seemlessly. voice clarity is good. ruff and tuff phone. camera is not that great but u can install picture modifying apps that can take care of it. I was a iphone user, i dont feel like using a iphone any more because appstore is so slow. here you can download apps so fast.. Close your eyes and buy the phone Ams

  • The specs are good for a mid-range phone, except for the internal storage and os version which is disappointing to think it was launched just last year, while the G4 is on 5.1 with just one month apart from their respective release dates. I'll wait for the next LG mid-range phone, hopefully with 16GB internal. For now, I'm sticking to my 3++yr old galaxy grand 9082 (released 2012) which has the same internal memory and ram as the LG Magna. :)

  • Hi there, i started using this phone about a month ago, but honestly speaking, i regenerated spending my money uselessly on this phone. The battery backup is very poor cos i have to charge it about 3 times everyday, the phone hang most of the times, i almost remove all the heavy apps that occupied the memory, and transfer others to the sd card, but it hang and preizes. Camera also not so good, especially in the night or dark places. What is paining me always is the short battery life, why would i always be charging my phone??? And why is it always hanging even though i almost remove the heavy apps? I really regretted buying this phone and will never advises someone to buy it again. This is the last LG phone i will use in my life. And to me, LG has really fail.

  • I've been using this for almost half year. The problem that I've encountered is the internal storage its quite low, thats why External storage is needed. Its freezes a little. The camera is above "OK". Everything else is ok i guess, just try noy to play heavy games, its uncomfortable. If you want better experience try rooting it, it'll help ;-). So for a phone this price isnt so bad at all. I kinda like it

  • Camera in Magna is not bluetooth, it's internal, and it's not Law, Law is in the books and policemen are law. It's a fixed focal length lens camera so it can't zoom, just like any other phone camera, how did you manage to zoom, you put your eyeglasses in front of the camera? Night photos are not clear because the camera is raising ISO, even with pro dslr body you'll have an ISO noise problem with slow lens at night. You can't light up the world with small led flash, you can't even with ten Nikon SB900s. Can I suggest you to buy a proper standalone camera if you are so concerned about photo quality?

G4c uses Snapdragon 410 the Magna LTE uses Mediatek MT6732. Both devices supports LTE Cat. 4 up to 150mbps. and supports LTE Bands 700/900/1800/2600 it doesn't support LTE 800 Band 20 which is low band frequency deployed in europe, however it has 1800mhz band 3 it will still work.

I've had this phone for about 3 months now, it's fast, that batery goes for a long time if you don't have any gaming or browsing, otherwise after a few hours of constant browsing and gaming it will heat a lot and you're lucky if the battery lasts for a whole day and by a whole day I mean like... 12+ hours

  • I bought my LG Magna months ago. I only got the 3G version, which means an MTK processor. It can perfectly run any 2D games, fps drops is noticeable in 3D games but still very much playable. The RAM optimization is a problem though, multitasking is hard with apps getting killed all the time. It can play music while browsing the web and another app or two in the background, but that's pretty much it. This problem might be due to the MTK processor, so this problem might not be present in the LTE variant. 8GB of space is barely enough for me and atleast 5GB is available for the user, apps can be moved to the SD Card though. Camera is good, gets too noisy at low light, but that's what the flash is for. There is also an option to use the screen as flash as for the front camera. Display is vibrant, good legibility under sunlight. Viewing angles could be better, brightness shift under extreme angles. Lollipop is good and smooth, some elements can be seen. However it is not running the updated UI seen on the G4 and newer devices, still very reminiscent of the one found on the G3. I am not sure if it has Gorilla Glass, there are no noticeable scruffs but examining it by reflecting the light does show some minimal hairline scratches. The battery life is good, it can last 2 days with moderate use. It's a good phone with a gorgeous look, price is reasonable but I heavily recommend the LTE variant.

  • Got this phone last tuesday and compared to my lg l70, sorry to say this but lg magna is a crap. Poor battery life, though its camera has higher resolution, it doesn't have much feature like panorama or even manual focus- de focus. It lags and its lollipop OS eats up 3gb of its internal memory. One can't also change the message conversation theme which is unexpected for a mid range android phone. Maybe these were the reasons why its cost got lower.

For taking selfie, we can use one hand by clicking back button.its curve shape is awesome.battery bckup is good its 2540mah. Dont expect too much from a mid range phone.only defect i saw as of now is the main sim slot. If we use adaptor with sim, it gets stuck.buy separate micro sim. Its only 8 gb memory.   • I own this handset from last 1.5 months no issues were found till recently when I switched on GPS while travelling,the phone simply refused to pick GPS signal and lock it, further investigating the cause I found the main culprit is the MT6582 processor,the older generation Mediatek processors have severe GPS problems which are usually hard for normal user to solve,as rooting and all the other shit is required.

  • i owned huawie honor 4x yes its a great phone but in some areas LG magna is better the screen on magna is a bit better and the 8mp camera on magna can match or sometimes takes better shot than on my honor 4x. also i find the lg magna UI is still friendly and more costumizable .

You also get the flip cover from the company. I paid 15k in Sangeetha mobile store.. The only con is I find it difficult to text with the flip cover... Gaming on the phone is good.   • Price is expected to be 17,999 INR , that is realy over priced... same spec mobile of lenovo, huawei, azus available near to 7000 INR price tag. Even though consider LG build quality, Lolipop OS..etc reasonable price must be in range of 13,000 - 14,500. else it can not be sustain in Indian market..

  • 16gb internal memory is intended for the upcoming LG G4 Mini version.

  • Prima facie there seems to be one CON ... Internal Memory is only 8GB ..it should be 16GB .. to give flexibility in handling certain good Apps.( which one can't move to Micro SD Card)..which consume quite a space, resulting in restrictions in Updating them later on because of less Disk space error. Now a days most of the mid range phones are coming with 16GB internal memory. .. LG it is high time you come-up with 16GB internal memory as Samsung has started with mid-range.

  • if u want mid range smartphone jst simply go for xiaomi... i hve used redmi 1s n now im using redmiu note , trust me xiaomi products are best for mid range budget... dont jst go for big brand name...
