HTC Desire X is the best phone i ever had for listening music. I am a big lover of a perfect sound. This phone has the best audio sistem in it. So if you really want to enjoy your music ( youtube etc ) get this one. I use samsung now, levels up from this one, but the audio sistem is terrible.

Stupid phone ever seen... Automatically stops from time to time. When you start to use it new it is ok, after 3-4 weeks little by little you start to understand problems of the phone. I have it from Dec.2012. Till now, i had not any problem with it. Good signal, sound, screen, calls...everything was more than I expected. Used with few app only. Camera was good if the light was enough. For close shots and zoom details, pictures are much better than Sony 13Mp camera. Battery? Very good. Used as phone, without internet, the power is for 5,6 days. After 4 years, the power button start having problems. More, an accident that kept the phone wet for 12 hours made the screen to be damaged. 2 weeks in sillica gel ...90% recovered. The screen protector and silicon back cover kept the phone protected ( still look as a brand new one). Overall, a strong and heavy duty phone. Now is time to replace it...with many, many regrets. Sure, I have to be prepared for other problems: size, internal memories, many updates, unuseful apps, who knows? Desire X never put me in "offside"...

This is the best phone I ever had. I bought it two and a half years ago and I never had to fix it. Changed the battery couple of months ago. Thumbs up for HTC. Worm colours, perfect camera...Androids can be a little tricky, I had HTC Tattoo, was my first Android phone, HTC is the reason I am still using this OS and not Windows. Tried both.

I got this phone back in April of 2013. I absolutely love this little phone and I'm quite surprised it's lasted so long. The only thing that grinds my gears is the lack memory. It has gotten to the point where I cannot update my apps at all. However, that is partly my fault since I do have a few videos left on the internal memory. If anyone is able to help me move my apps to my SD card it would be greatly appreciated :)

I own this smartphone since March 2013 now (more than 3 years!) and it's still working "pretty fine". Despite of having been dropped multiple times, there's hardly any damage on the phone. I also observed that it sometimes heats up pretty much (don't ever try candy crush - which is a bad waste of time anyways! ;-) ). What kind of drives me crazy is the lousy amount of memory. I installed 8 (!) apps that I love to use all the time and even though I deleted every possible app and try to push everything to SD-memory (which in most cases doesn't work), the memory is wayyy too small. Update of Google maps? Forget it, out of memory. Uninstall, reinstall... oh, alas! Even now insufficient memory - bye bye, gmaps! With growing app-size this process narrows down my possibilities to zero. Thinking about rooting the phone to be able to push apps to where I like. That sucks so bad. Plus: My fingers (BMI: 26, male ;-) are not able to hit the right keys when texting. Typing is a kind of pain in the *ss on the really tiny keys. Swipe-functionality of the keyboard kinda helps but has too many failed attempts of recognition. Tried the actual "swype" keyboard app which is a lot better but I had to uninstall it due to "out of memory" problems.

I have this phone since december 2012 and it is still working, almost 4 years. No problems at all. The battery is fantastic, even now I recharge it once in a week if I use the phone only for calls and a little bit of internet.

Hi, I bought this phone in 2013 and its still working well. Camera is great,and much better than Sony Xperia cameras. Doesn't restart randomly,no lag,sound quality is amazing.Too bad HTC didn't release updates for this as they want us to buy new phones. I love this phone and i like HTC devices. Waiting for my next phone i.e. Nexus 2016(HTC is building 2016 nexus phones).

A true work horse, this phone has served for the better part of four years without a whisper of trouble. Apart from the slightly loose power button, (taken care of with s2w) this has been the best investment of years.

I bought a HTC Desire X about 16 months ago. But due to an accident the screen glass has developed a crack and the touch is not working properly. I went to the service centre with the handset but they straight way refused to service the product even though I was willing to pay. They told me that parts were not easily available for this model and so they wont take the pain of servicing the product. Now where should I go or what should I do for servicing?

I got this phone in June 2013. This was my first android phone and i loved it. I had no problems with this phone till last month.I mainly used the phone for: 1. whatsapp 2. photoes and videos 3. facebook 4. SMSs and calls 5. little bit of games like temple run for initial few months only Now the phone's navigation buttons at the bottom (Back, Exit, Recent Apps buttons) are not functional on usage of few minutes of internet. The apps open at that time get closed and whenever i re open them, they are closed again. I then have to stop using the phone for an hour. Then the 3 buttons function again for some time and then the problem starts again. My friend also bought this same phone in 2013 and he lost the functionality of those 3 buttons recently. Is the life of a smartfone for 2 years only? is this the same for any smartfone?

I've got it in white. Best phone I owned. Survived several falls from different heights on really hard surfaces. The screen is still not scratched after 2 years of use. This is remarkable as I don't really care about the phone, carry it loose in my bag etc. The battery holds nice and if you don't clutter your phone with apps memory is enough.

First of all, I find it really annoying and a total downgrade about this phone is the ROM space which is 4GB. That space goes full really fast and I assume that is the reason why the phone starts lagging and getting slow pretty bad. (exp: Takes a while to open apps like Facebook and if you want to quit the app via the home button, it will take at least 10 seconds until it goes to the home screen. If you jump to the apps menu, it will load the apps for a time of 5-10secs too). Battery life is pretty good. Since it is a small device, I get a full day of battery with some average usage of the phone (Facebook, Instagram, Chrome, music, messages, calls, but no playing games). The pictures taken with the 5MP camera are quite good, not the best, but still not so bad. The bad thing is that it does not have a front facing camera, what even the oldies have (Not even touch phones...) The video recording is okay, but in daylight conditions, in some darker rooms or space, it won't preform so good. If you don't care much about games and a load of apps, a solid camera on daylight conditions, a good experience with music, this is a phone for you :) Hopefully this was helpful, kind regards !!

Within few days of purchase itself the soft keys get non-responsive. I replaced it once and used for few months. Again the same problem with soft keys happened. Now I'm not using it. Service is worst... It has to be send to Bangalore for repair as there is no service in kerala. It is not at all advisable to buy HTC.

I have been using Desire X for 2 years now and the phone is awesome. The camera is great (on daylight), the performance is well balanced althou it is not fit for better games. Music experiance is superb due to BeatsAudio. Nowadays the lagging is an issue due to the size of the app storage on the phone so even thou it is in perfect cindition I have to concider replacing it.

Happy user of HTC Desire X 2012-2014. But I should have bought a case to protect it, because cracked screen badly eventually. New phone (Samsung s4 mini) has Gorilla glass + case which is practical. But I actually preferred the HTC for use, I don't like the Samsung add on software.

I am using HTC Desire X since 5/2013, It was great at the beginning, working stable with no issues. I then was playing a game (application) that used to make the phone hot like fire !! I found white vertical marks at both sides of the screen and marks were increasing day by day, after changing the screen by HTC service center they appeared again even with no running for application made it hot, plus another issue appeared that the recent apps button was not working, (1 respond in around 30 touches!) after months the recent apps worked well with no fixing !! Recently and the most annoying thing, touch screen is not responding, home button is automatically pressed ! and screenshots are being taken spontaneously !! I cant text and I cant run applications (as it always go to home screen after seconds of running the app) I am so upset.

I bought my HTC desire X in June, 2013. For first 5 months I was very good. I was recommending my friends too. Now problems like, 1. Automatic switch OFF and ON. even if I keep it rest on table. (Note: While typing the text again my mobile is switching off and on. Very Bad) 2. Power button became very tight. I have to press it tightly with my nail to unlock the screen every time. 3. RADIATIONS exposure. When I was walking with my mobile in my pant pocket, I felt a sudden pinch like pain it was there for 2 days. (Not only for me my friend also experienced the radiations with his HTC Desire X) 4. Sim card slots will be shown as empty even the sim cards are there. Everything goes automatically. At that time if we are in emergency we could not call anyone also. Because of these reasons I am going to buy new mobile. But I love this its Slim, compact. But useless.

Have been using the phone since a year. The steel ring (Front Case) came out and when i went to the service centre they asked me a whopping 6000 rs for fixing the same. Horrible design and horrible service.

I have been the htc desire x for the past year. the only problem that i have so far faced is with the battery life. the screen is roubust and without any glitches. another downside apart from bad battery life is that HTC has not come out with updates and the phone is still working on the factory installed OS. i feel HTc should work on gtting regular updates like Samsung. Beats audio processor is the best thing to happen to this handset or to HTC. it changes the complete user experience whilst listening to music. with the process provided and RAM size even with the fully loaded phone there are issues in the working of the phone and the software. the HTc Sense is another wonderful tool developed that works really well and is awesome over all i would rate the phone 7 by 10 ..

I have had this phone for a few years. This phone has been buggy all the way. Not able to connect to services of the pc. Hanging apps or bad internal errors. had this phone hanging even before updating to a broken android version. I have send dozens of reporting messages to HTC via the crash report service and i don't hear anything at all from them. No messages they are working on fixes or anything. I'd like to advise people to look for another type of phone, automatic lighting is pretty bad on this phone too and i use an app to do this manual. AVOID this phone. (you are lucky if you have a stable one running )

I had been Using Desire X (Single Sim) since Feb 2013. But recently, my phone got suddenly off without any external activities.The service center technician couldnt rectified the problem properly and saying that change the board, and quoted me a higher price than the phone's present day prize because since this phone is 15 months old,like 3 monthys away from warranty. Hello, I've been using this phone Desire X for over a year. It was working fine (no special problems to speak of), but in the last week the screen started to produce a speck of yellow tint in the upper right corner of the screen. The speck is visible in white and brighter colours, while in the dark it's not visible. It would appear and disappear with no apparent reason, although the chances are better if the phone is overheated (not very hard to do these summer days). So what is this for a problem, and should i return the phone for repairs? Your thoughts appreciated , thanks.

Dont know how you guys are saying all this shit i am using HTC Desire X (single sim) since April 2013. Awesome touch much much better than Samsung, Sony and other brands. Occasionally hanged when i am using number of apps at a time. Use 360 Security app and refresh your data daily its increases the memory If you have photographic skills you will found its camera quality good... Sound quality too awesome... with beats audio. There is only one point where i say that the headphone quality of all HTC models is too good but they need replacement after 3-4 months.. or you can take care of them properly.

So it doesn't have a front camera which annoys me, also you can't look at your files on your sd card or move them from your card to phone storage on the phone you have to use a computer or online services, the back of the phone is concerningly easy to take off, adding music to a playlist isn't the easiest and a mass delete isn't available for music, little faults like this tick me off and make this an annoying phone

Good camera and phone layout, but it can be slow and it crashes/malfunctions a lot.Mine doesn't hold a lot of memory (I deleted almost all of my apps/photos/etc but the phone can still only hold 52 songs). They are strong, I have dropped mine many times and the screen is in good condition. Great android for the price. Currently used as a daily phone with ample features. I'm able to upgrade however, this phone does everything I need it to do. Compact, decent screen, ok call quality, strong WiFi, expandable storage, no lag and great battery endurance. Can easily last 2 days with moderate multimedia usage. Been dropped several times, and not to mention surviving the cold and heat. Will not part with this phone only if it isn't working, otherwise its great to use for years to come.

to enable bluetooth connection, first set it to on, on both phones, then set both devices to visible. device will appear on a list of nearby devices. now choose the device to connect to, and set a connection code. then on the other device type in this code and connection is enabled. you can then exchange data easily. i have tried with several phones (nokia 3110, 5320, samsung galaxy ace..) and a pc laptop and connecting works normally.

HTC DX output sound with downloaded equalizer and BeatsAudio is a best via Hi-Fi amplifier and speakers or Hi-Fi headphones. I compared DX output sound with iPhone's, iPod's, iPad's, Asus tablets with their own good sound systems, top Samsung's, top Symbian and WP Nokia's with Dolby, LG's, Sony's, SonyEricsson's and dedicated players - HTC DX is a pure winner. My friends don't believe that before comparing their device's on my powerfull Kenwood amplifier. Many other HTC's with BA as not so good too. For this price-range its impressive. About lagging HTC devices I can say - don't create more scenes than two (2), cleaning browser and several application cash is good too. Archiveing messages is needed if the number of messages is gone great. After 4.1 update OS runs like sharm, lagging more less. HTC DX is my main business-phone since 2012 october. It's not too big and it's not too small and it do all what I want. In-built redactable office included out of the box, 5 MPx camera with flash and autofocus is a relatively good for shooting documents and projects. Overall HTC DX is exellent phone for this money.

You can't say that the phone sucks just because your motherboard broke down... Using your logic I can say that, for example, Iphone 4s sucks because its button stopped working... I have this phone for about a year and a half, and I can say that it has great value for money! I had no major problems, haven't been to the repair service once since I bought it. People need to understand that this is a mid-range phone, and it can't be compared to the premium models like Galaxy, Iphone etc. It was made to offer premium-like performance on a lower price, so it lacks in some aspects such as front camera, occasional glitch, or lag, a slightly lower video/photo view/take quality, but all that can be disregarded, as it can be fixed or compensated for. The only thing that annoyed me was when software update came for the 4.1.1 Android, and HTC Sense 4+, because it slowed the phone down a bit due to higher RAM usage. Overall, it is a good phone, with good performance (if you look after it, such as cleaning junk from memory, closing background apps etc.), nice camera, beautiful design, for a cheap price. Recommended to anyone with a normal mind, who wants a good phone that doesn't require a handbag to carry around with you.

I used this mobile for 8 months (Jun 2013- Jan 2014) I found good performance of this mobile. Pros: Good battery life, good screen resolution, sleek stylish, great hands in feel, didn't find any lag, beats audio is good when used hands free, Photo Camera is OK. Burst mode is good. Better performance I found on 4.0 Ice cream sandwich version including speaker music sound. Cons: No front camera, No HD recording, No HD movie play back, Low music sound on speaker when upgraded to Jelly beans, touch is not as good as htc has. (Even I found Q mobile A8 touch better than htc desire X),Movie recording was not smooth (image stabilizer was not working good, when I rotate camera movie became blur and then focused), Not good on Jelly beans update. very low Antutu scor only 6800. Overall this phone is just Ok not so good to recommend any one to buy.

This phone is totally crap!!!! I have been using this phone HTC Desire X since 26 January 2013 exactly. At first several months I fell in love with this sleek and clean performance of this phone, I also love with its camera, very good quality and the beats audio run well. And the problem came when it came to October 2013. The phone restart itself more and many times I using it. This happened almost 2 or 3 times in a day, not only self-restart but also total dead when the charging time has finished (2,5 hours approx.). So, I consult third party service centre (official but not head of Service Centre), they said that I need to restore factory because he thought that there must be something inside the software. So I did it then re-isntall the application that I used to download. By a week after reset factory, it self-restart again! Yesterday morning (3 Feb 2014), I found my phone in deadlock condition and cannot be turned on! So I went to the ONE AND ONLY official service centre in my city Jakarta. They said I had to pay about 1 million rupiah to change the motherboard :(( I suggest you think and THINK again if you wanna buy HTC product especially for Indonesian fellow. Their aftersales and service sucks big time.

I brought HTC Desire X around 8 months back, but still regret about this purchase each and every minute of my life. Prior to this I had Samsung Galaxy Ace. I used Samsung smartphones for around 4 yrs before moving to HTC. But it�s a bad decision in my life. 1. Horrible signal receiving capability: I would like to judge any phone on its signal receiving capability. This phone is horrible. Even with 4 signal bar in the display I got call dropped. Initially I thought its due to poor signal of my network operator (Vodafone), I had actually switched from Vodafone to Idea. But the problem was still there. I checked the same SIM card with other phone. There was absolutely no problem. 2. Call Dropped: without any reason even with full signal call gets dropped. I checked with the same SIM card in other phone, there is no problem. 3. Heating problem: if you talk or surf net for 5-10 min the phone gets heated heavily. If you continue talking or surfing for 15-20 min, its really become hard to hold it. Phone gets so much heated. 4. Display gets hanged: sometime display gets hanged / frozen without any reason � even when phone is locked, it gets frozen. Opening the phone using the slider becomes hard. 5. Display is so pathetic that its rarely visible under sun. I just cant make a call under daylight. Probably the guys who designed it did it in room, forgot to test it under daylight!!! I complained about all the problem in HTC service desk also in their site, but they simple reject it stating that its an invalid complain. If a manufacturer doesn�t want to listen to its customer what product it is making!!!

This is the worst phone I have ever used. It hangs regularly. Most of the time when I receive a call it hangs. Then automatically switched off, switch on.... I bought this on 17.12.2013 and within 5 days it shows its these great quality. Battery life is only for few hours. Only positive thing about it is the beats audio which is excellent. But this phone does worth the money and the brand name. Please don't be fooled by the brand name otherwise you will be cheated and repent like me.

I have htc desire x. I am very happy with its performance and user friendly interface. Browsing and gaming is very smooth in real because of 768MB RAM . 5mp Camera is very nice, specially in low light. There is no hanging problem like Samsung, Gionee, Karbonn, Micromax and other brand. Before htc I have use Samsung phones but they were very sluggish performers and every time they hang out. But thanks to Htc desire x. Mind-blowing phone in 14k price. Well-done Htc.

My Htc One switched off suddenly and never I could switch it on again. I tried to switch on by pressing power key and volume up key.. No result, tried with power key and volume down key .. No result. Tried all permutations and combinations, no result. It was really good till yesterday morning. Though maintained it with utmost care this is the final outcome with Htc one. I felt its a good phone in the beginning, but after 13 months of usage the so called Beats Audio headphone were gone(not working anymore) and now after a month or so my phone failed to start. I took it to HTC service centre for diagnosis(they charge Rs 400 to just touch your phone) and now they say that phone's motheboard is gone and it needs to be changed for which they are charging Rs 7500 for it(who in the god's grace will this amount for motherboard change). Desire X just have dual core Cortex A5 1Ghz with andreno 203. Maybe choose other smartphone with dual krait or quad core with andreno 305 or higher, if you want to play hd games. Just flash mySENSEdx5 rc3.0 rom ;) find it on sub forum for desire x on xda developer. But first, you must unlock bootloader via htcdev, and have custom recovery installed. My impression, that rom very smooth and fast than stock jb rom :) ready for daily use.... Bugs : just bluetooth and wifi thetering doesn't work :(

its not good to buy. i was out of my mind so i bought it. reasons are below 1- battery back up worst. if net is on even in back ground. battery will last max 5 hours. 2- phone sound settings are horrible. cant control vibration. either it will be off for everything or it will be on for everything. same with volumes. 3- they say RAM is around 800 MB bet less buts actually 580 around. which is so damn less for phone costing 13k. 4- internal memory 4 GB. its less buts its ok. 5- apps movement to SD card is a problem again. 6- speakers so week. ring and music sound is only good when having ear phone.

huh? there are currently no official plans from htc to upgrade this phone to ver 4.2. i have seen some unofficial lists of phones that are receiving updates to their os and sense,, and desire x is not on any of them either. lets hope for the best though.

i. dont recommend this phone. bad quality plastic cover for battery. scratches easily. overheats easily. when plug in cable, sd card is not detected properly (which makes bad plastic cover quality more problematic). sometimes sense system crashes and leaves widgets function abnormally... htc user support is also terrible. just dont buy this if you value your money.

try to factory reset your phone. be warned that you lose all data in the internal memory of the phone (sd card is not affected). this should fix most problems that come after updating. 4.1 does change how computer recognizes the phone unfortunately, and this cannot be fixed. is just how it works in 4.1 jb....

the only disadvantage of upgrading to 4.1 is that you will have to do a factory reset after upgrade. this will wipe all phone data unless you can back it up. otherwise 4.1 is a very good system to use, operation is smooth, and some new options have been added like google voice search, and improved battery tool...

Hi all, I'm very disappointed with this phone. I have bought it in june, and I've had nothing but problems with it. The phone overheats easily by using applications such as youtube or 3d games (in my case i've used Temple run 2 and Subway surfers). When the phone overheats, it will stop charging the battery until I replug it. It's a huge annoyance. Also the system clock is completely unreliable. Sometimes, it will be way off of what it should be, which makes alarm completely useless. I've picked these problems up with the HTC service centre, but their support has not been very helpful. My phone has been replaced recently, but the new one has exactly the same problems. I think light/medium users will be okay with this phone, others should look elsewhere. PS: I used jelly bean 4.1.1. updated phone.

I would expect more from Desire X, especially since I had an excelent experience with Desire S. The screen by itself is good, but when you touch it on the right side along the edge (between the actual screen and the edge of the phone), an anoying white line apears. Much like touching a tft monitor. During a call, you can hear a hissing sound. This is really a big down for Desire X.

I posted a review of this phone a couple of days back. I said that the only downside was the speaker quality being a little low. I have fixed that by downloading the Poweramp app for playing music and it really works, it turns the volume up for all songs! Also for louder ringtones you can check the Business ringtones app.

Flash message is not the problem with phone. Flash Message is something that is pushed by the service provider. You need to turn the flash message Off. Do these simple steps to turn this Off 1. Been using this piece for about 5 months now. So, this review is based on a hands- on. What I like: 1) Very well built. Seriously, it is one gorgeous looking phone. 2) Beats Audio. You would have heard it or read it a thousand times. But again, "love it.. love it..love it..!!". Compared it with lumia620 which boasts a Digital Dolby audio. More clarity and pleasing audio in Beats. The stock earphones are decent, if not very good. 3) Big bright display. 4" is a very comfortable size for a mobile. Neither too big nor too small. 4) Good amount of RAM (768Mb). Generally other phones(i mean branded) in this range provide 512Mb. 5) Pretty decent battery life. Will last 2 days for normal use(very less gaming, very less wifi, mostly used for calls). But drains very fast while playing high end games like 'Blood and Glory 2', or 'NFS Most Wanted'. I had an HTC explorer earlier . I can say Desire X battery lasts atleast 1.5 times more than that of Explorer. 6) Solid performance. In this 5 months of time, my phone never hanged. What I didn't like: 1) THE biggest con for this phone: No HD playback(not even 720p).... aarrrrggghhhh.... Its killing me. I'll make it clearer here. It CAN play 720p videos....BUT.....you should have a media player app like MX player, AND the video will be played in software rendering mode (default mode is hardware), AND that too the bit-rate of the video has to be low. A safe bit-rate for smooth playback of a 720p video on this device would be about 600kbps. Anything more than that will slow down the video playback. 720p videos ideally have a bit-rate of 2-3 Mbps...:'( The MX player will play even those, but the lag will be frustratingly high. The stock player will not even try to play it if it is a 720p video. It says it is not supported. 2) No front cam. Everybody knows this anyways. But for a phone with a launch price of 21k, most people would expect a secondary cam. 3) The volume button is not that comfortable(could be a problem only with my piece). 4) Does not come with an option of Live Wallpapers. It supports LWP but doesn't show any option use them. Need to download an app 'GoLauncher' from PlayStore to use LWP..(Not a con really) The volume is not too loud, just enough for me. Might seem a little low for some people. The sense crashes and starts in half-a-second sometimes when I come out of 'Blood and Glory 2'. Happened thrice till now. But far better than what I faced with HTC explorer. Display is just enough bright to be visible on a hot day. Could have used a little more brightness. Plays HD games smoothly. Agent Dash runs smoothly but shows very short lived lags sometimes. Never faced a considerable lag in NFS Most Wanted or Blood and Glory. Can run FIFA12 decently. Some times it takes some time to enable GPRS. Dunno whether it is a problem with the network or the phone. Before buying this phone, I was split between dis and lumia 620.. Take the tech specs... lumia 620 wins, hands down. No doubt about it. But it is a WINDOWS phone. So if you are not an app freak, you can very happily go for 620. Windows market has a load of apps, way far less than android, but still more than enough for a casual user. And the OS is very fluid and refreshing. I personally prefer android. What mobile to buy is entirely based on your requirement. If u WANT ur mobile to b able to play HD videos, go for 620. It has seamless 720p HD playback. The only categories that Desire X beats Lumia 620 are: Slightly bigger screensize, better looks, better night camera(620 night cam sucks bigtime). There are android rivals as well in this range, the biggest being Samsung S Duos. But, usage of HTC feels better than Samsung(personal opinion). There are sony rivals as well. One thing for which I would prefer HTC over Sony is because of the aspect ratio of the screen. HTC screens feel more eye friendly to me... I sometimes feel that, this phone could have been better if it had 'this' or 'that'... but on the whole I am very happy with it. I don't regret my decision. Don't rush into any decision. Think, compare and buy what suits your requirements best.

My friend has this phone. Its really good, only con is that it lacks a front camera(not necessary for many). I would suggest you to go for Sony Xperia L. It has more powerful hardware and beats this in design too!

First Change your charger, if it even doesn't work take it to the customer service and try to exchange it under warranty. Normally my Desire X takes 3 hrs to be fully charged and battery lasts almost 24 hrs with good use of wifi, games and calls sms.

good enough with temple run 1 & 2. my experience is when you get to 30,000 coins, it lags when you're running especially close to obstacles. I don't know why but same with pyramid one.I got 310,000 coins with no cheats and level 5. I think it purposely lags to see if you're good enough to control the game. lol

Upgraded my Desire X to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 last night and so far its smoother. There are still lags especially when I'm multi tasking but definitely better than ICS. Google Now, Power Saving mode and the sense 4+ are big bonuses thank you HTC. Piece of advice: Download the update using a WIFI connection and without any interruptions :)

I've played nfs mostwanted and assphalt 7 and both work fine. haven't tried the other games. I've also played gta vice city too, worked like a charm.. and regarding the battry life, it depends on your usage, on an average I get 10 hrs of battry life. as I Do a lot of net surfing.

after factory reset...play store needs sometime to update itself...just keep on trying to download...may b cancel download again try downloading...also open playstore in computer and login with ur gmail account. send any download to your phone thru your system(playstore in system). may b it works...even i faced same prob for a day..its all good now

Once this option is selected, hit power button once to initiate factory rest. Wait until the phone shows up the lock screen. Go to settings and make sure your phone got upgraded Android Version: 4.1.1 HTC Sense Version: 4+ Software Number: 2.22.720.6 HTC SDK API Level: 4.65 After this you phone should behave normally. You will need to re-download all the applications after the update.

Just download it and let it finish update. After that check manually for updates. This time you will be offered with huge upgrade to 4.1.1 (~280MB), so ensure you are on wi-fi. Looks like these two updates are incremental.

The sensors don't work as expected. Especially, the rotation. Also, when you call someone, the loud speaker turns on automatically when you take the mobile phone to your ear. This has happened to me when I call or attend calls while I'm at bed. Other than that, HTC is always the best out there.

It's entirely up to you whether you want to take on board what my experience has been with the HTC Desire X. Having had a look around, it's difficult to overlook the fact that there are a fair few people having problems with this model so there should be alarm bells ringing by now. Regretfully I got mine with a Vodafone contract at the same time this model was released. Good on you for doing your homework (something I will be sure to do in future) and best of luck with your purchase. For my money, I'd go for something comparable - a Samsung, perhaps.

I have had one of these phones for six months and it crashes up to 10 times a day. HTC have suggested all sorts of things to fix the problem, new SIM, remove SD card, factory reboots; they've even done software updates and reinstalled the original software. Nothing works. At some point, perhaps they will discover my phone is actually faulty, but not before I have to send it back to them AGAIN. My advice? If you want a stable phone that can deal with normal android functions including video, apps etc, then avoid this one unless you want a headache.

whats the problem? you just need to select the mtnl wifi put in the password and you are done! for changing the password and other settings of modem just type in the url feild -"192.168.1.1" without "" and put in id and password as admin in both feilds.. assuming you didnt knew it and changed it earlier ..now you have the settings pannel for this modem.. change it as you need it .in _ interface setup >> wireless .. you will find the required settings

Take off memory card, SIM card and battery. Then include a charger on 15-20 seconds. Put the battery back and then the charger and charge the batteries. Then try to start the phone without cards. If your phone is running, shut down the phone and put the cards back. Start the phone. Sometimes it helps.

This is a very good phone for it's specifiations, xperia phones seem to lag a not while this one doesn't and it's UI is much better than samsung's. Clearly a superb one. People who experience heat-ups and all can unlock their phone's bootloader and will find a nicer experience. Still, I haven't unlocked my phone's bootloader and works like a charm!

After owning one of these for two months I have had enough. It stopped detecting headsets including the default one (which works fine on other phones and devices like my laptop) and now it suffers from "abnormal resets" which is when it suddenly reboots then asks to submit a report on the issue.
