LG Marquee LS855 - User Reviews

  • if u she your manuel it will give you the answer you are looking for ... Good luck

  • how do i hard reset this phone if i dont have the user name and password for gmail

  • can this device be unlocked to use on gsm carrier?

  • I've had this phone for about 10 months now and I'm definitely ready for a new one. Its a pretty good phone as I go through a phone per year, bit the lag is the thing that annoys me most. Sometimes I have to wait like 3 seconds for the phone to register what letters I've typed. Also after about 3 months, when I take more than one picture, take a picture and try to send it, or look through my gallery for more than 5 minutes the phone freezes and I must remove the battery for it to turn back on. Also sometimes it gets very overheated from voicecalls and then shuts down. Also if use app after app it overheard n shuts off and won't come back on until I remove the battery. But other than those quite annoying issues its a good phone, nice screen, good call quality, and always has reception.

  • i had this phone until a series of things happened to it yesterday but the phone was great battery would last me on average 10 to 12 hours before getting to 10 percent with nq Android booster the screen was clean and strong ive dropped this phone a lot lol dent and chips on the sides and it took it and keep working no broken screen which was a shocker for me seening that it was so small its about the same size as an iphone but cheaper i rarely had lag never had and issues everything always worked i got it wet a few times still worked i dropped it in my bath tub let it dry out worked but was slower this phone is a trooper if your hard on phones o highly recommend it and i like the over heating feature i let it sit on my dash board on a hot summer day by mistake and it beeped and gave me a warning im really glad it did i had it for 8 months if you find one grab it you will not be sorry even i a good face cam

  • thanks for this review, i just bought this phone for boost through ebay and was a bit weary as to how good it would be, but after reading this im much more confident in my purchase :)

  • where did u get the ics custom rom for lg marquee ???

  • bought this in may and now it has an ICS custom rom upgrade, this phone just become more awsome

  • Going through the same thing.beyond posses off

  • Its a great phone And when u have an IPS Nova display all seems so clear and crisp

  • I'd been using the Samsung Galaxy Prevail on Boost Mobile for over a year (bought it the minute it came out), recently upgraded to (this) LG Marquee. The first benefit is all the Internal Storage Space, available to the user. I don't have to scrimp on APP shopping anymore and that (for me) is HUGE. While the display may not be the vaunted Samsung AMOLED, it is VERY clean, clear, crisp and beautiful. Photos POP on this, and videos look great on the LG "NOVA" display. The phone is THIN, much more so than I had expected. It feels nice in the hand and the sleekness of the design gives it a look & feel of a premium (much more expensive) phone / device. Call quality is great, Bluetooth and WiFi are flawless. For those who bemoan poor battery life, guess what? Smart phones are like digital cameras, they will chomp, eat and relentlessly DRAIN batteries! Get used to it, or buy a non-android / non-blackberry / non-windows / non- ios / non-smart phone. One of the few demerits I have with the LG Marquee, is that the Charging Port is on the Top of the phone. Seems strange and it does interfere with routine operation of the phone, while charging. The only other phone I've owned that did this, was an LG900 from NET10 (not a smart phone). I would probably have shelled out the full price for this, sooner or later, but was caught by a (typically-generous) discounted sale price at Best Buy and it became an Impulse buy. Ten minutes after getting it home, unpacked, fired up and activated, I was thanking myself profusely for having done so (and thanking Best Buy as always). I was also surprised at how easy it was to upgrade this (from my Samsung Galaxy Prevail) at Boost Mobile - I forfeited six months of "shrinkage" by upgrading, which is what they do now ... if you're on the original $50-dollar plan, you'll be forced to the newer $55-dollar plan when you upgrade your handset. ... meaning, I am now paying $45 per month, up from $40, which is the lease you can pay on Boost Mobile (used to be $35.00). I still LOVE the flat rate, no-tricks of Boost Mobile and consider the extra five bucks worth every dime. Overall - anybody who is sitting on the fence with this, take one look at the ZTE Warp from Boost ... take one look at Virgin Mobile's Motorola Triumph, then thank your lucky stars you decided on THIS instead. Seriously.

  • this phone is crap it gets so hot you cant touch it when you talk or charg it i han it a month and had to take it back 3 times then when i was talking on it it just blew up in my hand and it melted and the scern cracked the batters are crap last a hour and you have to charge it DONT BUY IT i cant belive it just bluw up like a small bomb in my hand because it got so hot just talking on it >>>.........

  • is it available in the philippines ??

  • LG Marquee runs under CDMA while LG optimus Black runs under GSM but they are the same

  • well there are 2 types of Optimus black (ver. white and ver. white) both are diff in each other... so going to the diff. between optimus black either of the 2 version is that this LG Marquee LS855 has more upgraded feature... plus the fact that is has a 5.0 megpixel camera at the back and has a front facing camera with 2.0 megpixel.. it is already an advantage for you to have the phone.. screen size is 4.0 inches with a brilliant HD quality display... most important thing it has a processoor of 1 ghz.. not bad for a 3G phone...

  • The LG Marquee offers 3G internet connectivity but Sprint has this one with the Rev. A technology instead of Rev. 0 which means this phone can be considered to be one of Sprints higher end phones. Other connectivity options like Wi-Fi b/g/n, GPA and Bluetooth 3.0 are all found on this phone. In terms of internet browsing, the stock Android browser is great and things like double-tap or pinch to zoom are super responsive. Lacking 4G means some of the complex pages do not load as fast but its still good nevertheless. Source :
