I've had this tablet for just over 4 years now, and I have to say I love it. Unfortunately running android 5.0, and having the h/w it has, it isn't keeping up with the app updates as well as it once did. But this has been by far the best, most durable and useful tablet I've ever owned. I've been waiting for a new tablet for years from lenovo but it doesn't look like anything similar to this is coming ...

Buy a better tablet. This thing isn't even comfortable to hold, one end is thick as hell and yet other one is thin. Not to mention clicking noises when you have it in hands and just gently apply some pressure...

Had this thing because my company didn't want to invest in better equipment for employees. Not really good screen, cheap feeling in hands, crappy camera, and internet connection wether it is from provider or WIFI - simply breaks. It shows you connected, yet all browsers and apps tell you that you are not. Then battery is really good at start - then you experience drops in as much as 40% in period of like an hour. And then - THERE IS THE LAG. The lag is REAL with this one. Freezing constantly...

This WAS a very good tablet with excellent battery life, until Lenovo's previous update which messed up the wakelock function. That update was over half a year ago and it still hasn't been addressed by the company. Now the battery barely lasts two days where as before the update it lasted closer to two weeks! Ridiculous. This is how Lenovo treats its customers, with contempt!

Had mine since they first came out. All has gone well until a few months ago when it re-booted of its own accord. A few days later it happens again then later again and it's got to the stage now where it can happen 5 or 6 times a day and even in sleep mode. I have read on blogs that this a major fault that cannot be put right. Yes you can get by but it is very annoying to try and get back to what you were doing. If you have one and it reboots on its own then there may be trouble ahead.

I got this tablet just after release and I have to say its great so far best tablet I had and mine is with LTE which make it brilliant, battery time is unbeatable other companies should learn and grip when you read is best ever like holding book but very light - I highly recommend this tablet

Hey guys i updated my yoga to lollipop i think 3mo.ago if im not mistaken but i wonder that everytime i open my yoga it appears on the screen that the tab need to be update but i ignore it coz im disappoint when i update the yoga tab from kitkat to lollipop coz one thing i noticed is that when my default storage will be on the sd card i cant download those apps that i want it wont update those apps that i installed and especially the bluetooth it wont send pic,music,or apps to other device even though its already paired or even its visible to other device

Depends on which version for Tablet you bought and how the call was made. For the more expensive LTE version (which actually holds a SIM card), yes. The cheaper Wi-Fi only version, regular phone call, No. However, you can still call people over Wi-Fi by using APP such as Skype which acted just like a telephone (provided you have enough credits in your Skype account).

No. You will not lose the Multi-Window (MW) features. However, I've found that apps available for MW in 5.0 were far fewer than 4.4. Take mine (5.0) as an example, when I look into the MW options, there were only 5 apps: Gallery, Email, Chrome, File Browser and Video. Nevertheless, the 5.0 ran much more smoothly than 4.4. So its a trade of Features for Performance I guess.

DanElse --how did you root your 1050F - I'm running 5.0.1 or Lollipop, I cannot afford to brick this tablet, if you don't mind, how did you do it, I've been through Google and tried a couple of methods that didn't work. Also if anyone knows how to get a 64GB exFAT preformatted Samsung 64GB miniSD EVO class 10 card I would be eternally grateful, but as my Lenovo Z50-70 accidentally got the MBR deleted by a 3rd party partition formatter,while I was trying to format the card to FAT32 (I bought 2 of them and need them to work in my 1050F) it did not format the card to FAT32, even though it stated "success", and screwed up my laptop MBR, so I have a brick until I can fix it, at least I backed up all my games and video on a 512GB USB drive. any help would be appreciated, oh and since the laptop is bricked and my new tower has no SD card drive, and actually is not due for delivery until today or tomorrow anyway, the formatting of exFAT (unless there is a way to get exFAT to work) to FAT32 has to be tablet driven if possible, if not I will use the info after I get a chance to unbrick my laptop (with the SD card reader).

Dan Elise, how did you root your 1050-F? I am having problems and can't afford to brick it. Also apparently the 1050-F will not accept mini SD cards preformatted in exFAT, like the two Samsung SDXC 64GB EVO Class 10, I used a 3rd party partition formatter that bricked my Lenovo laptop by erasing the MBR, gotta fix that later, so I would be eternally grateful if you knew a way to root this thing, my gaming computer doesn't have a SD slot so I cannot, at the moment, format (3rd party) the SD cards, and if you or anyone who knows a computer free root method that is much preferred. I bought mine a month ago and updated it to Lollipop ^^ , now I am very satisfied with its performance in gaming. Especially when I finally rooted my device so that I can install games at my 64GB external card plus the fun of using my PS3 controller in almost any games that I liked. . The Ui is sluggish at times but when it comes to gaming, its on par with some highend tablets out there. Price wise, this tablet is a win-win.

The Yoga idea pad is good for most of it use , but unfortunately it is not compatible Microsoft Office version of Android , if any user plans to use the pad keeping mind to MS office , then you should not buy this pad , even the latest build as on date does not support .

I am owning a Lenovo yoga 2 10. Lenovo claims this model is having 9600mah battery, but a software call battery doctor shows it has only 5700mah battery.Also only by moderate use battery get discharge in 24 hours, so I doubt it does not have 9600mah battery.

The 64 GB MicroSD card comes in Exfat format which is not supported by tablet. The tablet will only support Fat32. Fat32 option will not be available if you try to format directly. If you try using the command prompt, it will fail with The volume is too big for FAT32. Now how to fix?? Download a small utility called fat32format.exe . Extract it and place it at the root of C drive. Now open command prompt (cmd) and change the location to C drive. Now type fat32format.exe L(name of ur drive letter): . That's it. I wasted a day to do this. Hope it helps

Yes have had same problem. Inserted SanDisk 64Gb Micro SD and - nothing. No indication that it is there at all. Have read somewhere that there are specific formatting procedures that need to be carried out for it to be recognized but have not tried yet. - Still looking for suggestions.

They actually have windows versions too. Android version comes in 13.3", 10.1" and 8", while windows version can be bought in 10.1" and 8". =) Planning on getting 10.1" windows myself because it comes with a BT keyboard!
