  • Now of time to refunction for all sony ericsson xperia just for phone and massage only, cause a limitted internal memory and ram. Minim moved to sony xperia with 1gb ram just for whatsapp and browsing only, not for all social media apps and games installed. All apps android remove to device with ram minim 2gb up to 8gb. Why become bigger size off all apps?

  • Hi, I am using Neo V right now as a spare mobil. I tried whatsapp on original stock firmware and it worked perfectly, but now I am using alternative cyanogen mod firmware. Maybe you will have to clean up system from thrash, or even re-flash it.

  • i assume your phone has been updated through Sony Official ICS. if you are rooted, try changing the kernel of your phone. there are tons of tutorial available. XDA forum is a good place to start.

  • Your query is a bit confusing, 3.5mm is the audio standard. I think what you mean is 1/4" jacks which the bigger or upmarket headphones use. There are standard 1/4" to 3.5mm adaptors out there, they have been around for a very long time and if you do get one get one that gold plated!

  • Install Sony PC Companion from Sony India website. Conect your phone to ur comp with the supplied data cable and follow the instructions that PC companion will give you.

  • This is a gr8 phone. I got it rooted, removed some of the pre-istalled apps like youtube and chinese keyboard etc and thru sony pc companion installed ICE 4.0.4. Neo V can still give a run for its money to many nw phones! The phone can take very very good pics. The music play back is v good. It just doesnt show any sign of being dated.

  • I own the Sony Xperia Neo V and have been using it for 3 years. This is the first smartphone i used and totally satisfied with it.. Wana shift to a new phone now and thtz only cuz of low RAM on this one. Overall a great phone, only major problem being low RAM and internal storage. the key to keeping the phone from lagging too much and being overloaded is updating only those apps tht u use regularly and clearing ur cache evry now and then . Cant play high end games on dis phone (i've been playing COC in this phone for a while with no problems at all) Even if i do get a new phone, not planning to throw away dis one.. It was totally worth it buying dis phone then, in 2011, but not a smart option now. :D

  • Brought in Jan-2012, Upgraded to Icecream Sandwitch (4.0.4) in same month. no problem till date. battery lasts 32 hours with 3G ON for atleast 8 hours. if internet OFF then 48 hours is the minimum stand time. (12% renaming average). basic games works ok, but failed to respond to heavy or moderate games. Overall value for money.

  • Yes this has a flash which can be used as torch. I have also upgraded to Paramount HD (KitKat) ROM with Dark Kernel. I can easily play any game now and performance is much improved over previous Jelly Bean ROM. I will highly recommend to root the mobile and upgraded to JB or KitKat ROMs.

  • There is no official Jelly Bean for Beo V but there is a lot to choose from custom roms. The only problem is that there is no support for the HDMI after ICS.

  • Well you must be the only one in this case then. Upgrading to ice cream sandwich wont have a lot of effect. The official version is not the best i admit that but most custom ics roms are fast and stable. And if you you bother to install any kind of jelly bean rom you will get great performance and better battery life. (Tho there is no HDMI support wity Jelly Bean and Kit Kat)

  • Yes,you can.But on 4.1.2 version you will have some bugs(Video camera doesn't record at 720p,only vga and HDMI doesn't work).Also you can use KitKat(4.4) but this is full of bugs in this moment.

  • Best rom ever brothers,try this:Gin2JellyBean(2.5.2) or Gin2Kitkat(3.0).It's stable,no bugs like others roms,all functions worked,and have a lot of free RAM,around 200 MB free Ram.Also this is based on stock GB with a combination between AOSP and Cyanogenmod!

  • Yes you can.Just make sure your buildl versioners is 4.0.2.A.0.62. Then download the eroot application on your pc from the net and connect your phone to the pc using usb and run the application on your pc. Now it will detect your phone and show an option to root.Click on that and in a few minutes your phone will be rooted.For more information see this thread

  • Sony has already ceased development for the 2011 Xperias post the ICS update.So no question of updating neoV.And as far as android 4.4 is concerned Google has already stated support for devices with minimum 512mb ram.But it doesn't mean that its possible for an OEM to include support for it's entry level devices with 512 mb RAM since a lot of bloatware and custom skin is added for every other OEM device unlike Google's nexus phones which comes with stock android. So your only hope of getting android 4.4 is to install a custom ROM from cyanogenmod or from XDA.

  • It is simple, but you have to understand what you are doing. If your phone is restarting again and again, it is simply because you have rooted device and you have flashed a custom rom( any rom compatible with your device).Or you made wrong choices while you were flashing your rom, using CWM. I'll be honest with you, this has occurred to me a lot.Take off batteries, press keys,switch off and on holding volume key buttons, etc, this will have no effect whatsoever, It wont stop doing that, if you were to leave it like that it would stay that way forever, which means, bye bye mobile. The solution: Flash the phone again, using the flashtool you have downloaded, go to flash tool,open it, there is a section which says firmware, wipe off if anything is there,copy paste the rom you have downloaded,do not zip the file , extract it, or try methods to install it, it doesn't happen, copy paste just the way it is , should be just a line,someting like Mt11i_blah blah(directly from the folder or the page where it shows download completed , it is just one line, example(Mt11i_4.1.b.0.587)copy paste it in the firmware folder,which will be there in the flash tool in it's downloaded format, not installed. Ultimate HD is pretty good and reliable.There are other roms also but it's up to you. I assume you know know how to flash a new rom, please follow the instructions step be step, you're problem is solved.One thing, you have to connect the phone to your computer via cable,and after you have opened flash tool, go to flash, select flash mode,you'll know what to do next. It will take time,if error comes ,try again, something missing it will be downloaded automatically, and you have to reinstate the flash mode again, follow instructions please. Be patient, it will take time, once done you can see in the screen , unplug and restart your mobile, do that and let it boot fully, you're problem is solved, by the way, if you are a root fan , then you'll have to root it again, because during flashing a new rom pretty mauch everytime the rooting facility is gone, but use the right tools, and it is easy pesy, I have an app which i use, it takes me 30 seconds to root my phone,yes and don't forget to install busybox,that is pretty easy once you have rooted your device.Check it out,if you'r e phone is still not starting, or goes into bootloop, or freezes, or if anything goes wrong. ps: the Kernel is usually the reason for all the troubles, be careful with that, do not do any modification while flashing a new rom, unless if asked.   • For all who want a new phone,whitout to buy an expensive mobile try this like me: 1.Update to ICS 4.0.4; 2.Unlock the bootloader via FlashTool by Bynary or another program(via Flashtool it's verry easy); 3.Root using Eroot program(download,install and follow the instructions); 3.Install Clock Work Recovery(download and istall;2easy steps); 4.Install manny custom rom from XDA developers or from CyanogenMod; 5.If you want,install Link2SD(only for Root) to move/freeze/unninstal apk from phone memory to SD card. PS:I have the latest CyanogenMod 10-Jelly Bean(4.1.2) and I am so happy.This it's stable and for daily usage.Good luck!

  • @ Neo V Ind yes absolutely true. it is very smooth ROM with lot of features.I wish Sony could update 2011 Xperias with this ROM as OTA ( of course then no will buy new phone) Two days back i flashed JB 4.2.2 slimbean ROM , it is smooth with many features. Two salient features. Download rom file was 86mb rom + 14mb gapps. lot of customizing options . like ample method of shortcuts(hardware buttons with long press function, slimpie ,ring surrounding home button, notification, quick panel settings , it took a day to know and get used to them . Give a look.

  • 12 hours to charge, its unusual , change and check battery and charger. Do battery calibration tests. Download from play store. After 1.5 years my neo still gets full battery in 1 hr . To be precise using wall charger of 1 amp for every two mins it increases 1% battery. Don't use ordinary battery chargers below 700 mah.

  • yes Vijay , though it is not necessary to unlock bootloader. Its matter of convenience , after flashing with stock kernel in new ROM , CMW recovery will be gone. But these kernels r built in with recovery, in 10 seconds flash jb/ics kernel with built-in-recovery , and flash new jb/ics rom from recovery . Just easy to flash , backup n restore and moving from GB to ICS to JB ROMs. No offence .

  • I downgraded the phone to 2.3.4,rooted using eRoot(very simple) and after I installed the link2SD and Titanium Backup.With link2SD you move the app from internal storage to SD card,and with Titanium you can create backups,froze/unfrozen app like Google Maps(app that eat RAM and drain the battery).Now I have more memory storage and even 195 free RAM and a good battery life improved!

  • @Sree.. Just rooting is not enough to increase the memory. Install Link2SD from playstore and uninstall all unwanted stock apps from your mobile.. This is shud save some memory in your mobile.. The best option is to install CUSTOM ROM's for your mobile.. Refer XDA website for Custom roms for your mobile model.

Now it display the installation progress, after the installation finished, flashtool displays success and now disconnect your phone from the computer and power on. First boot will take a few minutes. If flashtool doesn't recognize ur device , install adb drivers ,to root search one click root =eroot (google it) and root it.

  • There are problems even if you have a rooted stock rom. Removing all the unwanted apps like TIMESCAPE, etc wont give the solution. Once your stock ROM gets slow then it is difficult to do work in your mobile.. I faced a lot like that. An unlocked bootloader only helps you in installing ROMs and overclocking your cpu. Other than that the regular functions of ROM on a Locked or Unlocked Bootloader are same. So it is not necessary to unlock your bootloader unless you have planned to try different kernels and overclock your mobile cpu.

  • @ Vijay # you get 2.5days of battery , nice . sometimes my battery dies in 5hrs as I browse much .If u havent unlocked bl u cant flash every custom Rom, and I feel no need of flashing stock based Roms , coz if U r rooted U can uninstall all those unwanted apps (bloatware) manually, thus freeing more ram, more battery and no lagging. If U r into unlocking bl try zero percent fix tool from xda , it was very easy for me. For all Neo V users if U want to root easily, try eroot(just one click) from Xda u need to install android SDK drivers . Though I request U to go thoroughly about bootloop failures and how to overcome them( for ex. if U uninstall home launcher from system app without having any other launcher , ur mobile goes blank and u cant revert it . U have to flash again stock rom, which is annoying process for newbies) If U have time , improve ur knowledge from xda forums and customise and upgrade neo V ,coz it has become old now, otherwise go for new mobile.

Flash Z1 Honami rom pro by saqib nazm , X reality engine,new theme manager,aroma features .framework, apps,modules,libs etc. are ported from xperia Z1.   • As an owner of this device, I must say that the ratio between the product and the money is unbeliveable. I own this phone for 1.5 years and I must say that even today I am very pleased. Good design, spectacular display about 265ppi. If I had to say something negative it would be its low brightness, I mean when the device is facing the sun you cant see very well.   • It's a good phone. I've had it for 2 years now, and it's still working in pretty much perfect condition. I don't care too much about phones, so I don't put cases on them or care about what happens to them. My phone has gone through several somersaults, cartwheels, headstands, and straight on falls to the ground, yet it's still in great condition. There are scratches on the silver part of the phone, so I can see orange metal underneath. One of the edges has a slight chip since it's fallen so many times. The screen is still flawless, though. The battery life is excellent. I can charge my phone for 1 hour to get from 0% to 100% charged. Once fully charged, my phone can last 14 hours with mild usage. It's good. If you don't use it for things other than messaging and calls, then it can last up to 24 hours. If you're addicted to a game, you can play it for 6 hours straight. The sound is awesome, too. I just hate that it isn't compatible with *all* earphones. It's a good phone for those who don't want an electronic that you have to treat like a sensitive baby.

  • never try to update your fone to ICS, it would ore slowly and consumes battery faster. nothing will change in phone memory if you upgrade it, unless you will try custom roms in xdaforums, there are lots of custom roms for xperia and it is much faster than stock rom, although some features will not work like hdmi, and panorama

Or just install unofficial jellybean or some other, I use cyanogenmod10, and it runs perfect and fast (even camera and dialer are fast unlike stock ICS :) )

  • You can't do anything...U can only repair it via Sony update service...Download it and install it on your computer and select your phone then follow the instructions to repair your phone...U must be connected to the internet....U will lose all your apps and settings as the firmware will be reinstalled but it will solve your problem..while connecting the phone to the computer,hold the backbutton and connect it,the notification led will be green,i.e,your Phone will be connected in flash mode...Then the phone will be detected by update service and then all u have to do is click repair,the software will download 200+ mb file and then repair your phone so make sure your internet connection doesn't get disturbed..

  • There's still hope. Go to ur laptop and search for plan b at google. The app name is Lookout Plan B. The app will automatically push itself to ur phone and if u r lucky u might find it. Gd Luck!

  • OTG doesn't mean that you can connect pendive. Using OTG, you can connect to wireless mouse keyboard to your phone. If you want to use pendrive, you need to root the phone and isntall pendive apps tool from play store

  • Those of you here who know the custom rom 'ParanoidAndroid' probably know that it has a unique feature that allows to change the DPI of applications on our phone. That too set separate settings for each app. Changing DPI (say, lowering the value) will make the letters and UI elements of an app seem smaller, hence allowing it to display more info on the same screen area. But many guys are unable to enjoy it because that Rom needs an unlocked bootloader, which is something that can't be achieved without ruining warranty. Anyways, there is an alternative solution. All one needs is a rooted device. Rooting is safe and easy. Follow this guide on xda after rooting to install the necessary framework and apk that allows us to custom change per app dpi settings.

  • the system takes 212 mb of ram for its use so u will get only 345 mb user available

  • It has 512Mb of ram totaly but running andriod takes some of it so its 300Mb ram left for usage.

  • Although the design of this phone piece is good, however, its performance is too bad. It takes an average of 3:7 seconds to respond to your screen click and it has many hangs and crashes. Its PIM part of the software is too bad. You would need to restart the set quite often to get it back again.

  • nobody told you user available ram is 512 mb! 512mb is total of ram , about 112 mb is used for the os ( as pc , iphones , ipads , galaxy tabs ) and the rest is for personal use!! do not talk something you know nothing about!

  • This phone is trully awesome. I have it 3 days ago I already tried some 3D gaes like GTA 3,Vice City,Modern Combat and other Gameloft games and they work like a charm. I haven't find anything negative about this phone so far. I tottaly recommend it.

  • Yes. This will cause loosing your warranty. Also, if you do not follow the steps correctly, your phone might brick (dead). It has to be repaired manually by self or by Sony Service Center. I suggest you uninstall unwanted apps and games and try to free up internal ROM. Enjoy the warranty coverage till end and then take any risk of flashing ROMs.

  • Well... You know that you have to uninstall unwanted/unused apps/bloatwares. This will help. Or, you can install custom ROM on your phone and delete unwanted apps. Even system apps/bloatwares can be removed.

( i m saying on my experience!! don't know about others...) so i m very happy to b the owner of neo-v n waiting eagerly for announcement of new perfect midrange smartphones from Sony like my neo-v.

  • Kernel is a program (*.img file) written to interact between software and hardware. Every custom ROM has its own optimised Kernel. You should flash the corresponding kernel also while flashing custom ROM.

  • Yes, ICS is Not stable in Neo V, but in GB, I dont have any issue. I downgraded to GB. Neo v has additional Camera features: 5 MP, 2592х1944 pixels, autofocus, LED flash Features Video calling, touch focus, geo-tagging, face and smile detection, 3D sweep panorama Video Yes, 720p@30fps, continuous autofocus, video light, video stabilization. If 720 runs smooth in Neo L, I think it is better :)

  • If I tell you that the manufacturing cost of a 35k Galaxy S 3 is just about 15K then you will know the answer yourself. What happens is, all phones gets imported at a very low price. Region based OS version is installed. Passed through Sony main headquarters for warranty registration and then sent to market. In case of eBay and especially in case of Sony only, the imported phones are directly intercepted by these sellers. They install software themselves. And sell themselves. Hence a lot of cost is saved plus the cost of registration with Sony India headquarters. Out of every 100 phones sold, max to max only 4-5 of them has any kind of problematic hardware. Hence what these sellers do is simply get 10 or less registration tickets for 100 orders from Sony India and utilize them in repairing the bad devices. Sony too doesn't mind as the lower the warranty burden, less is their expense. Sony's share of income is already taken from the seller in wholesale value. This way everyone from seller to buyer to manufacturer is benefitted. A manufacturer without the burden of repairing phones is saved from a lot of expenses. Hope you got my explanation. There might be other ways....but the above is the only possible way I see.

  • It will not scratch easily but it will if you dont take good care of it, all glass or any material get scratched. Gorilla glass & G-glass 2 are made from hard materials but still it can be sctratched. Any phone claiming their phones are scratch proof is not true. It can only tolarate an amount of resistance, but if it exceeds the tolerance then it will get some scratch.

  • Neo is better. But At this moment? .... I say none..... If you are from India then buy from ebay.in Xperia Sola: 13500Rs approx. Xperia P: 17900Rs approx. Xperia S. 23000Rs approx. As you can see..... all these are at least 6-7 thousand cheaper than market. And they are genuine too. Just that you don't get manufacturer warranty. Any issue (which rarely happens) you gotta send it to the seller.

  • yes it is normal , uninstall it ( it will uninstall all updates only but the one ( the version) it came with will be available , go to my apps on the right in the play.google.com ( website not application) , scroll between apps pages until you get adobe flash , update it again ! everything will work like a charm!

  • I too felt the same while taking pics. But then I tweaked settings and could 'see' better images while taking pics. Try to modify settings like Exposure Value, Preset modes etc.

  • The Jelly Bean that I have is from a Custom ROM, CM10. The camera app is 'Camera ICS +' app. So you can check out the features of it yourself. I got more internal memory and better RAM management with JB. No lags when compared to reported lags in ICS.

  • Im happy with GB. I still have 6 moth warranty. I did not like ICS due to HD recording/playing issues and downgraded to GB. Also, in GB Im getting the more options by clicking on the options button on the screen for some apps and camera. In ICS, I have to click on phone option button to get more option, which I did not like. JellyBean has the same issue? What other advantages, we will get JellyBean?

Howvever, it requires few tweaks from our side. Steps are: 1. Install BetterBatteryStats to find out whether the CPU is going in Deep sleep mode when the phone is not in use. You can do this overnight. 2. If not, then in BBS chk the partial wakelocks during tht period. In most cases, specially in FXP JB kernels it is the location finder (Maps/GPS) is the culprit. 3. Once found the app (in my case Maps), disable that apps all auto starts events using AutoStarts app. This is a one time procedure and u will notice a remarkable difference in ur battery life. Even on stock ROM (ICS), I hv seen a improvement in battery life. :)

  • I suggest you to check the link I gave before. If you have 587 version available for your SI Number, update it.

  • I use tasker and based on the event liek when display off change te CPU governer to Powersave or conservative with upper limit of 800MhZ and change to Interactive scheduler with 1.6Ghz

  • You should also try changing the CPU governors and I/O schedulers. Instead of using the given custom kernel along with roms you may even try others like NightElf etc. They have more features... eg: night elf has USB otg support built in.

  • May be its file size is too large or .mov or .wmv file. Please convert it to Mp4 or AVI. I suggest that you use the following resolution: 640x360 or 854x480 (1500/kbps) When you convert video, please select the video codec H264. You can have high quality video in small space in H264. But convention take too long *(10 minutes 30 minutes)

  • The thing is that eventhough you have installed app2sd but the apps installed on memorycard requires some memory in phone. So that's why yours internal memory is less and some apps are also not movable to memorycard.

  • Hey guys, I recently updated ICS 4.1.B.0.587 on my neo v... and it's working fine.... dailing lag is solved.... haven't found any problem till now.... ifb you have any problem just restart your cell phone.... it helps to resolve it......

  • Recently there are news that the ICS update for Neo V has got issues resolved. Check which Sofware Version is released for your SI Unit using the following link: ­ AS I understand, the '4.1.B.0.587' version is the stable and best one yet. Update your mobile with this version of ICS. And DO NOT cancel/disturb the update process. It may take long time depending on your internet connection, but its better to wait than getting your mobile land into troubles by disturbing the update process. If you don't have patience to wait for update completion, leave it to update over night while you are asleep. By morning, it should be done.

  • Well.... all roms based on original Sony firmware (Like Codename, X-Gamer etc) are best for good battery backup. Those roms don't need bootloader unlocked (so whichever rom doesn't ask for a unlocked bootloader is good for battery backup) .... Bad battery (or rarely good) is a result of custom Kernels....

  • ISC is not stable in neo V as it has only 320 MB RAM. A big problem is HD video recording is Not working properly. It lags. Also, some HD files playing 480P ,720P lags. However, still phone quality is increased is ICS. Phone dialpad delay issue is resolved now, so No problem Go launcher is not running smoothly. Some apps always force close Another big thing is ICS menu-style/look is Not good as GB. WAIT FOR Jelly Bean.

  • @WEBHEAD, Google Apps, 1. well once you flash the kernel present in the zip file using fastboot. 2. Enter CW Recovery mode, Clear factory data settings (If flashing new ROM for first time) or, (if from previous version of new ROM, ignore this step.) 3. Then you flash the custom ROM via CWRecovery. 4. Next, you have to flash Google Apps. 5. Then Clear Cache, 6. Clear Dalvik cache. 7. Reboot and enjoy the new ROM. Google Apps have the extra goodies and applications related to the particular ICS or JB ROM. Telling from a user's viewpoint, if you don't flash Google Apps, you cannot use YouTube, Google Play, Gmail and all Google related stuff after u install the JB or ICS for the first time. As simple as that... Advanced users, pls correct me if I'm wrong. - Anoop

  • @Sbdevilmind - Sorry dude, I didn't see your post. jz now saw it. Good to hear that you gonna get a new Xperia Sola for a less price. I guess it's for 13.5k from ebay. Yes, a good choice. Even two of my friends bought Neo V @13k from ebay 4 months ago. The products are working fine... So if getting a new model, why don't you search some more options and try the some high-end dualcore phones from ebay. Now, regarding your current rom, good to know that u r sticking with your old version. I was searching for a stable ROM that gives a good battery life of 13-14 hours under above average use. Any suggestions by the way??? I tried to tweak the CPU Governor settings in the Performance Settings. My current ROM is very stable but only the battery life seems to drain a lot. I kept the SmartAssV2, Lazy and smoothass settings in the CPU Governor mode. But the overall battery effect is still the same. Only the apps are crashing as JellyBean is new to the apps present. It will take time for apps to get updated, as we saw similar changes during the shift from GB to ICS. I flashed Inverted JB Gapps so I had a very nice black glittery screen. I've read that inverted JB Gapps saves battery. Any comments about this? Any suggestions for any battery friendly custom ROM??? pls do suggest. If I find any good ones, I wil surely share the info here.. Cheers, Anoop

It is due to the issues related to closed source to Panroid. now this ACman rom has the features of AOKP and CyanogeMod...now a new update has been given to this rom. ACman 17.....very stable...   • You must have internet connection in your phone. Open the Play Store app. Search for Whatsapp. use the Download and Install option to get it done.

  • @Anoop: Am on the older version. The new one has some added features but the developer said that its a bit less stable than the previous. I might have tried it out too but currently am unable to download it (I download from cafe, since exams coming up I stopped going out). Anyways, next month am planning to sell my Neo V and get a Xperia Sola. You can't believe how cheap it is on eBay.in..... Wanted to upgrade to a dual core, nfc, floating touch display phone.   • @Sbdevilmind: Hi and great to hear it from you. reg, the DPI, I tried a little bit and it does look okay at the first instant. Now there is a new kernel and update in the PACman rom, which is updated today. I've to flash that and test it. I'll update on the same. Well, I've had no issues with this PACman rom for haida, as it is considered as a stable one as of now. Anyway, I would respect your suggestion for the Panroid version...I've heard about this ROM before but haven't really tested it..let me give it a try and check it. One question, are you using the latest version of Panroid. PARANOID_HYBRID_v2.54? ...you said that you are using v2.25. How good is your ROM regarding battery life? I'm also looking for a good battery saver ROM with all these cool customization. Anyway, respect goes to 'music.soul' for creating such a great panroid ROM. - Anoop V

  • The below mentioned info on New PACman rom is a combination of Panroid, AOKP and CyanogeMod.... a correction... it is not pandroid but panroid... anyway the ROM is awesome... and I have referred this rom to my friend.. he is awestruck seeing my mobile with this new OS... I'm going to flash this same OS to his mobile as he wants this new rom now... :) happy flashing.... Regards, Anoop

  • @Anoop V: Hi there.... me too have tried the PacRom. Somehow it had some problem. App execution time was slow.... dunno why but although UI was smooth, the responsiveness was not up to the mark. Many faced this. So I switched to the Hybrid Paranoid Android (built from source) V 2.25 by Music.soul and I am using it ever since. Its the real CM10 experience ..... totally smooth and fast execution. You should give it a try. I highly recommend it. If in case you don't know who music.soul is, he is the first guy to give us Paranoid Android. Unlike porting roms from other devices, he built this from source PA. AOKP was never my favourite. Although they had very deep customizations, they somewhat didn't match the responsiveness of CM. And btw, have you mingled with the dpi settings of each app? It works perfectly .... . Sbdevilmind

  • I had upgraded to ICS and had slownws issue with dialpad/contacts. Also, it lags when take HD video or play HD video. Hence I downgraded to GB. Since new update .587 came I again upgrade. Dialpad issue resolved. But HD video recording or playing issues are Not resolved properly. It still lags. When open the phone after 1 or 2 hours, it hangs. Go launcher Not working smootly . Only the good thin I see is Camera image quality increased. File size is 1.5 MB before it was around 800 Kb ALSO, NOTHING NEW IN ICS, I THINK GB INTERFACE IS BETTER THAN ICS. I am going to downgrade the phone again to GB tomorrow. NEO V IS ONE OF THE BEST SONY PHONES IN GB. DONT UPGRADE. NO NEED TO UPGRADE

  • the design is slick n all, but rather makes the phone too slippery and difficult to hold nicely. RAM IS POOR and also internal memory space is pathetic for such a price !

  • Memory gets full tooo soon, but besides this a good option for his price. I only installed a few applications like my email, fb, W/A, Gmail, dropboxanitvirus. Not every application can be put on SD card because of settings. Another bad thing about it is the case changes color after only a few month due to using and getting a bit wet.

  • Hmm.... you are probably the unluckyest of all Neo V users.... Cause its one of the best phones ever made.... At least I am running it flawless, 1. Dropped it multiple times....yet no scratch. 2. Unlocked bootloader and overclocked to 1.6Ghz.... No problem 3. Flashed many custom roms (many available) yet no issues whatsoever... Either you treat a gadget as its supposed to or complain that it didn't turn out to be a Ferrari. Sony service centers sucks? Just go to consumer forum or do what most do.....LEARN to fix software yourself.....

  • if you want irritate most or if you have any enemies gift them sony xperia neo v. they will die roaming to service center but thy wont get back there phone. 1.My phone speaker had some problem 2.It got switchedd off. 3.stopped getting charged. 4.not turning on. 5.phone is dead. 6.motherboard crashed. 7.flash ic gone. All this happened within two months after i bought the phone. such a useless product.Basic models of nokia and samsung are much better. for no reason it got spoiled. No one is able to repair it. Why does sony make such products to irritate customers? please never never buy a sony product

  • it was not just me but every1 who got their phone updated to ICS faced the same problem. A simple solution is to take ur phone to the service center n ask them to update it back to GB. or U could risk by connecting ur phone n hacking a few softwares. For those of u who want ur phone to be updated to ICS but still want to get the problems, then just switch off n on ur phone. this will kill most of the tasks so it will work fine... hope this post helps all the xperia neo v users;-)

However, i am facing one issue (i.e) i am unable to forward message. i click the name of the recipient and click done, the screen comes to the same page again & again. I hv to switch it off and on to read or compose next message. Do u face such issue or pls just a way out..!!

  • nope.may be previous bug is fixd but atleast 2 bug they added.1)wifi disconnect frequently. 2)aftr reboting whatever ur network mode setting..it became dual mode.

  • select the desired contact you want to send,press menu button, send contact will appear from bottom of screen. then follow steps bt step.

  • for your music start when headphone inserted, go to LivwWare manager and unmark music. you can configure what you want on this manager.

  • No you won't lose your data your phone will remain the same exept that the UI and the android version are the only ones that changed, but you will experience a little bit of lag jusr like mine.
