I bought this phone 2yrs back , its just a bad handset of LG that i have ever seen and coming to experience one of the worst experience i had , unable to throw and unable to use , battery sucks like anything even if we put ideally the phone charging goes down from 100 - 50% in just 2 hrs . Dear fellow LG P895 users. Of course I am not happy with this phone, but I paid a lot of money for it when it came out so I can't throw it away so easily. I have a serious technical problem which hopefully some of you have solved. While the phone is functioning, suddendly when I try to call, I get a message "No SIM Card of SIM card error" and afterwards a second messsage "Reorganising internal procedures. Please try again after a short while" Then after a three or four efforts where I get the second message sudendly after let;s say 5 minutes it calls. It is not a problem of the SIM as I replaced it with a new one, and further on I did a hard reset on the phone but still problems remain the same. Any ideas?

I had this phone too. I had two series before birth of optimus of LG. They are very good phone specialy LG k910. Ufortunatly this type of optimus is a shame of lg company. Every smart phone of lg but fablet p895 are good phones. The problems of this phone solved in LG G series. The quality of G-series is such good the lg G-2 and specialy G-3 became the first andriod phone in their's production years.lg G_5 is unique really. Only advice to handle Vu p895 is installing the program from insured site. And the numbers of installed applications shoulden't be very much. At least half of its memory must be empty. In my opinion you should sell it and buy. LG v10 or G-5 or v20 to enjoy your smart phone too much. I have now lg G4 and i am very happy from its power and high speed so you buy lg G-5 you can enjoy very much

It is my phone for 2 years. Now I can tell u how it is with this... device. All of Lg's phones are made for MAXIMUM one year. After this period phone is slower, MUCH SLOWER. Freezes are annoying. You cannot even run 2 cards of chrome and (low ram eating) aplication. If you want to do sth while using snapchat -> FORGET. LG phones after a year of using are rubish.

They still update phones from 2012 (MX2) and we are geting lolipop at the end of march/beggining of april. Try a premium chinese brand like Meizu or Xiaomi and get REGULAR updates, more frequent than other popular brands aka Samsung, HTC etc. The also have wide price range from low to high, depends what you want!

I just heard that there is service called rooting the mobile. Just pay amount equivalent to 25 to 30 US $,and get the entire software of the mobile updated. No doubt that will void the warranty through the manufacturer..but you will get what you need. Just locate some android developer nearby, and get the phone rooted. You will be at advantage that you can remove all the junk from old O.S.

Very bad experience. After 1 1/2 year of service, somehow satisfactory, it simply fell asleep, it died. Repair means more than $200 USD since all the board must be replaced. Phone was subjected to water, sun or shock, it simply died and it went right down to the trash. Do not take the chance to loose a $400USD phone. On the contrary a Samsung Galaxy I own 5 years ago still rocks. Not recommended at all.

You can remove the battery for some minutes and try again. Otherwise it is a case for guarantee. You say that you just got some updates? The last update is more than a year ago and we are all claiming that LG did not do what they promised. But that should mean that you still have guarantee.

The phone is great. Aspect ratio is the main selling point for this phone with 4:3 ratio. The screen is super clear but a bit of lag with it's 8mp back camera. Night photographing is kinda dull. For those that are waiting for the upgrade of ICS to JB on this phone, u guys can drop the whole idea. The upgrade is for Optimus VU II & not for this model.

Blackberry does updates, IPhone does, Android does only sometimes. OK, that�s why my Optimus Vu went into the drawer and I am now using a Blackberry. OK, there is a lack of apps, but what I learned. With RIM I am always asked what an app will be allowed to transmit. For example, when I want to install a news app, why does it need the place I am and the identification of my mobile? OK � once more, I installed another news app does not need these data. After all, perhaps it was not so bad to be urged to leave LG.

If it's still under warranty, quickly send to lg service ctr. I got this same problem thrice, first two required replacing main board. Last one (warranty expired), i was lucky because just need a hard reset. I think you must avoid drain the battery until shutdown. Just charge it when i fall below 5%. the phone is of good specs but lg ignorance by not upgrading the OS, sudden blackout and poor battery life make me swear this is my last lg phone ever.

Here in the U.S. we have a mobile company called Verizon Wireless. They have this exact phone. It is called the LG Intuition. Gsm arena has a picture of it under LG phones. It is the exact same smartphone as the LG Optimus Vu. The only difference is the name change and that it runs on cdma and not gsm. It is a carrier branded phone and is not unlocked. They have already upgraded their LG Intuition (VU) to jelly bean. I have the gsm (Unlocked) import version of this phone and I am also waiting for the jelly bean upgrade.

Having without even just a Jelly Bean Update for this phone is bad with LG's image. The phone's specifications is very eligible/capable of upgrade but why they didn't even bother updating it. Is it because of the chipset as what rumors talk about? Why Verizon LG Intuition got Jelly Bean update considering that they have the same specs with Optimus Vu P895. My guess is that LG has deliberately "forgot" about this phone, as it may have very well been a flop. Not because of the screen format/resolution, but maybe because of the chipset. No Tegra-based phones from this or other vendors after P895. Also tablets have gone the Qualcomm/Snapdragon way. So it looks like we have a clear winner in Qualcomm, while NVidia, with their 5th core (didn't they hear of freq. scaling to conserve power? what's the deal w/ that 5th core?) and mediocre ULP GeForce has yet to make a comeback, which after the 800 Snapdragon, I doubt they'll ever do... So lrt's just leave p895 RIP, and look for discounts to Vu:3, which as of now, as price goes, stands alone in a league of it's own, desired by many, afforded by few...

If you have wifi router use ES file explorer. Add a lan connection - username and password from your pc, than copy and paste files. Works great, haven`t used a usb cable for 2 years. Works great on all android devices. Give it a try OR FIND A USB DRIVER ON LG WEBPAGE.

Forget LG. They will not bother - It is easier for them to lie and misled us with the updates. Awesome business practice. I am looking forward for my next LG phone - never again!!! What we need to do is get a CyanogenMod for this phone. I keep checking the CM page if the LG Vu was added to the devices list like every single day, but it is not. There is a CM rom for the LG Optimus 4X HD ("p880") which has the same specs as the Vu except for the screen size an resolution. Porting the rom from that device should be an easier way. We have more chance for a CM rom than an official update from kunts at LG. Please join me in requesting a CyanogenMod rom for LG Optimus Vu P895.

Looks like somebody is getting the Jelly bean update. Here in the U.S. Verizon wireless is upgrading the LG P895 (intuition) to Jelly bean 4.1. Please note, this is not the gsm version, but the cdma version. The cdma version is called the Lg Intuition, while the gsm version issue called the LG Optimus Vu

LG already mentioned the Optimus Vu to upgrade Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean back in late 2012 on Q2 2013. It won't upgrade to JB as P895, only F100L/S can upgrade.

I is an awesome phone for the price 230-260 EUR unlocked and contract free. I have emailed LG about the JB update and they said: "Kindly be informed that the update will be available by the end of this year". Pros: very good specs, hardware, beautiful display,NFC, good camera, and good build quality.. Cons: no rooting metods found that work, no custom roms found, no JB update yet, battery life is average if u use phone for gaming/hd video streaming. With average use browsing/emails, cals, is good for 2 whole days if you plan to play games you should good for a days use.

If you realise, Optimus G, L9, L7 was given JB. In fact, L9 too. Reason is because of the chipset. Qualcomm guaranteed its chipset and allows the mobile phone maker to allow upgrade to JB. For L9, chipset maker was TI OMAP. If you realise, 4xHD received its JB update super late since its chipset is Nvidia Tegra 3. And Optimus 2X received its Gingerbread and ICS way later since its Nvidia Tegra 2. Same goes to Vu, which using Nvidia Tegra 3. Same case for Samsung Galaxy R, which stops at ICS, which is using Nvidia Tegra 2. I just hope that Nvidia will just do something about their chipset support and allow phone maker like LG to do its prompt update. I think LG must no longer take Nvidia as its supply for chipset. No offence though.

Hi man as i said before lg has published an app in the market called (quad gear box).,it's a really helpfull app it makes lg quad core phones works as dual core and make your phone smoother too and save battery time and this app will be as stock in jeally bean update as it came with lg optimus g but you can download it now without root or anything it is really helpfull,try it :)

i have experienced that 3 times already.. the blackout that happened to me is caused by brightness level app.. dont install such power saving app or display saving apps bcoz the phone has already its own.. charge ur battery and tryto turn it off.. from off try to recover by recovery mode.. "power button + volumedown" .. press till it boots to Lg logo then release.. choose software recovery.. it will factory reset then ur good..

I bought this phone December last 2012 Till this time there is no complaint but last day my phone suddenly stuck then I tried to restart the phone but I cant do that and phone hot some time continue the heating and dead while I can't remove the battery because to remove battery required special tool . I lost AED 1950/- UAE Dhirham. Don't bye this only life six month I used HTC p3300 last 5 year till its works fine I had changed one battery.

Hey Nikky, Try this. Hope it'll help. When the phone switches off due to Low battery or when the phone is kept idle for a longer period of time, then it will not turn ON immediately when connected to charger. This is because the phone has a low speed charging mode (Pre Charging) for better performance of battery when the battery voltage is not enough to turn on the phone. In low charging mode, phone will not turn on until the battery voltage reaches to 3.6 V. This is generally employed for high capacity batteries (1500 mAh or above) & will take approximately take 10 mins of time for the phone to come to regular charging mode. In pre-charging mode, charging icon will not be displayed in the screen, only the bottom key LED's blink.

I DON'T KNOW IF NOTICED BUT THE BRIGHTNESS IN THE CAMERA WAS OVERLOADED but they fixed it in the last update and the proximity sensor is way better by recognizing the right light try the auto brightness i don't know man but i felt its better :) no hating :)

Yah i dont like the power bank thing i gave it away... just adjust the setting to a lower power state... try using BatteryDrain to monitor your usage green and light orange is the best way to go.

get a screen filter 50%, use it while in doors... brightness on its lowest setting, no animations.turn off diaplay in 30s-1min, make sure it dosen't heat up. 3G/CDMA is okay the whole day. but wifi drains.

its a great phone if you aren't a VERY heavy user... it is true that the only problem is the battery life because of the huge HD-LCD-IPS display on a 2100mAh. i just learned to keep the settings down and it really doesn't affect the performance on if. and because of the 4:3 design it will take time to get use to it :)

i had the same problem... ebay answered it all. but screen protector is not needed if your careful but the CASE is is must. if it falls on its edges then say bye bye to the chrome finish and say hello to bumps or worst cracks :P i'm currently contacting someone in korea to get me the bumper case for this...

With the price drop recently to about USD 400 its a good buy. Battery last about 6 hrs with average use. Screen is good, very responsive while texting or writing memos. Many complain about its odd shape and indicate that its not convenient for telephony like calling. Agreed, but of 6 hrs of daily use maybe we might speak for max 1 hour. Rest of the time we browse, text and play multimedia files. It wont let you down with size when you get used to VU. Camera though is not so good. I expected much better quality camera. On speed of use, its extremely fast. Even emailing, browsing, chatting etc work like breeze and I found it much faster communicating with Optimus VU than Galaxy Grand which is also 5". Overall its not the best device but its well worth having it at a lowered present price.

Just now I brought my new LG Vu P895, thats awful to see the battery drain issue.. No SIM inserted, mobile in flight mode, WiFi turned-off, all necessary things turned off and I kept the mobile a side for 2hrs. I wonder how come the battery drain by 10%. Unlike other phones consumes 1% max in flight mode for appx 2hrs. I'm scared that if I start using phone and 3G as well... battery drains like leaking water bottle.. pls advice wht to do... -Kart

Hi i-mody, I agree, the battery drain issue observed in both LG 4X HD and LG Vu P895 models... Due to quad core, they are power hungry.. kills battery a lot. (max use is 3-4hrs from 100%-0% battery) What about your front camera... how about the quality in video calling... The front camera is also observed as poor for my case.. Its completely dark, though u use proper light source to en-light your face still the quality is awful. -Kart

Hello All, Currently Im using LG 4X HD, Everything is good except two major things (Battery drain + Camera poor quality) Front camera is just okay for normal taking pictures, but very bad for video calling on vtok or skype etc. I found that the video quality is so dark and not clear, the other people cant see your face.. the basic setting of android is in its settings.. you have to minimize features that you don't use or not use at all.. example: gesture mode.. turn it off.. if you minimize settings your battery life would increase (the more advanced) is by tweaking your apps.. you disable unwanted apps.. for me i disable all google apps.. in ICS you can disable unwanted apps that consume battery.. apps that run in the background consumes battery.. the minimum settings of the running background is SETTINGS and keyboard.. not all android ics have the same content and depends with its manufacturer and apps.. some apps needs not to be disabled so experience and explore..

My LG Optimus VU is cool looking but as of now it's a brick. One druncken night, I left it on the counter and did not charge it, it ran dead. The next day, after placing it on the charger, started to blink off and on and would not cut on. After several hours of maybe it just need to charge. It was still in the same mode. This right here. i really lov d size.. its vry showy first... volume performance is so amazng.. videos r vry lovely to watch in it.. nd cool al options wrk.. for txtng u got a one hand keyboard,so no worries on txting.. no sd slot,however 32 gb is mrethan enuf... it never hanged.. it takes quite mretime to charge up.. but stands for remarkably a day.. dats cool ryt.. watching films can heat ur mob a litl.. but gd to watch... then gaming.. even s3 cant beat its performance.. ultrafast nd sensible..lov playing in it.. radio is not pprovided ... camera is osm... a vibrant nd brilliant photos.. bt at nyt it doesnot work out sometimes..but ur mrning photos shows u such beautiful, dat u hav ever seen.. worth buying.. b showyyyy:)))))

A little big but handy. Chrome web browser works superb ! Video recording with decent color but in full HD, it even allows zoom on playback. Love that phone. Looks nice, great display with natural colors(Note 2 display has very weird colors). Perfect aspect ratio for web surfing, reading and writing (Wide screen = big keyboard). Maybe not the best for watching movies. I don't play games so I can't comment gaming performance, but I think that is fine too (quad core cpu). Good quality camera and video camera, but sound recording and external speaker quality is quite poor. Heaphone sound is ok and call quality is bright and clear (much better than SGS2) Battery life is not great but it's OK comparing to other Androids with same battery size. Needs charging every night. UI is very fluid and smooth and themes looks nice. I wish Jellybean update but it works great with ICS too.

it the best gaming device with all the best available specs .but tagra 3 consumes a lot of battery , and the phone really heats up .. screen quality is absolutely stunning , and the screen can detect more than 15 touches at one time . it has got a plastic body / though it has got a 8 mp primary camera but night pics are not clear , samsung provides better picture . secondary camera is good . in call audio quality is perfect. got some software glitches totally fixable on upgrade , the phone does not , i repeat absolutely does not lag or hang .. (thanx to tagra3) i bought the cell at 26k and this is the best and worthy investment i ever did on a cell ,. if samsung galaxy s3 came in the same price tag i would still love to have a lg optimus vu p895..

all of my videos work like mp4 and avi perfectly in 1080p, only down side is the letterbox 4:3 ar...Gaming; considering graphics and sounds... its perfects cuz of NVIDIA, battery, depends on the setting. mine goes 4-5 hours while gaming, its a great phone as long as you take time to know it.

Actually I have the same issue with the same phone, This is the photos that has been stored at the Google account G- Mail that's why it cant be deleted. Go to your G- Mail Account and where you can find the pack up then deal with the photos.

To Regza: Before posting anything, please just try to spend 2 minutes of effort searching about the product instead of declaring an ignorant comment like that. Because simply if you go to check the mobile specs on LG official website: you ll find that : 1- The phone processor is 1.5 quad core 2- OS is Android 4.0 ICE CREAM SANDWICH 3- FM Radio... So, either you're lying or they are lying... And definitely neither i nor anybody else would trust you more than their official website unless if LG is planing to fraud which is definitely impossible.

It is not a simple mobile and you can not take it if you want only to have mobile and to call to someone . It takes all your head to hold it(5.0 inches).Only with Bluetooth or headphones you can say that you can use it to speak. If we do not see this and if you do not have problem from the small battery 2080 mAh then you have a perfect business phone for me.

This phone is not for everyone. If you want to use it for browsing then it is excellent. For reading books it is the best, due to it's width. If your thinking about playing high level games then go for note2. The 32gb built in memory is more then enough, and you don't have the hastle of having to remove your SD card or battery whenever the phone get's stuck. The battery is not a normal one, it is designed to stay longer. LG are not idiots to include a quick drainable battery.

i'll say n2 is a little better than vu when it comes to features. but vu is cheaper than n2. and with the vu specs, ur almost getting the same thing as n2. if you have the money, go with n2 but if you're on a budget vu is for you.

That's really funny. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I for one was hoping this phone would come to Europe last year. It wasn't meant to be, and now that it finally comes, it's only drawback I see is the usage of Tegra3 over a Krait quad. I find this one phone quite more nice than all them Galaxy phones. But as said, it's just in the eye of the beholder.
