To install the update you'll need to download the ( LG Mobile Phone Support tool ) for Windows (OS X users need not apply), plug in the device, and check for updates. The upgrade brings the phone out of Gingerbread land and onto Android 4.0.4, and while we haven't yet gotten a look at how LG has skinned the OS for the Prada 3.0, though we suspect it's much the same interface as before. Other than the numerous goodies offered by Ice Cream Sandwich, LG says that the update also includes QuickMemo, which lets you leave a note by pressing and holding both volume keys. Hello everyone, I have just bought LG Prada KU5400 (korean version) as my first android phone and I really liked it so far. But, there is a problem with my lacking knowledge of android phone. My phone's operation system is 2.3.7 (I guess, it is called GingerBread) and I want to update it to 4.0.4 version (Ice Cream Sandwich, If I got it right). It says 'device has the latest software version' when I check for update in settings. I also updated the device's software by using 'LG PC Suite' program on my laptop, but it seems like updating something else. I could not find any differences after this update. I googled it and could not find anything helpful. I seen a lot people have Android OS 4.0.4 on the same phone. Btw, I am in Mongolia. I guess there are regional differences. Please help me to sort it out. If you dont mind, please reply to my post be step by step tutorial. It would be very helpful for me, since I'm new to Android phones. Had this Prada 3 for one year plus, and has been upgraded to ICS from the old Gingerbread. Very stable ICS compared to old Gingerbread. Been using it together with LG VU and Nexus 4. I realised that the battery performance has dropped quite significantly. I cant really blame it since its been with me for 1 year plus. I've been keeping the phone for quite sometime, not intend to sell it. For me, its still a unique slim phone, lighter than my VU or the Nexus 4. Phone is Still snappy and music is loud. Processor not as powerful as any other quad core phones but on PAR with other Dual core 1GB RAM Phones. Very durable even after several bumps and drops. No scratches on the screen AT ALL (Funny part, no screen protector). All still functioning. Still, Life's Good!

Driver" directory. � replace your windows hosts file with the one of the "2. Edited Windows Hosts File" folder. You find it in Windows Vista / 7 at -> "C:\Windows\System32\drivers\etc". � copy the folder "shttps" from the "3. Flash Tools" folder to "C:\" and start the "http.exe". � install "msxml.msi" from the "3. Flash Tools" folder. � install "B2CAppSetup.exe" (LGMobile Support Tool) from the "3. I have my LG PRADA since it came out, pre ordered it at PRADA in Madrid with its saffiano leather PRADA case, and I am really impressed. I love the design with those sharp corners. I upgrade to ICS and works really great! What I dont like its the battery life, which is a nightmare, and the back plastic housing, which feels cheap. Anyway, sometimes it gets slow as all LG phones... I am a 20yo guy and I am really proud to have a phone designed by this company. Those who say its a girly phone just have no taste for fashion and luxury lifstyle ;)

In my country the price of Prada 3.0 has been reduced to half of it's original starting price..it's 270� now..This phone is not very far away from SG2 in terms of performance,not to mention the gap between them in terms of looks..even this forum is 13 pages long while SG2 has probably 150-200...I don't understand why people are not interested in a phone that delivers both in terms of performance and it's also one of the most beautiful phones to date...

4 hours of browsing would drain KG Prada very fast. Very poor battery, buying the extended 3600 mah is a must if dont want to charge your phone once to twice a day. If you use your phone for texting only, you'd probably be charging your phone once a day. Tested in mid brightness. The max brightness seems so very bright for me.

Try upgrading to ICS and use Apex launcher. Everything will be smooth using this launcher compared to the stock ICS launcher of LG Prada 3. For browser chrome is much faster and responsive than the stock browser.

guys!! how long in hours will this phones battery last when the brightness is at maximum and 4 hours wifi and about 200 texts a day? I would really want to buy this prada phone coz it is sexy but the 1540mah is whats holding me back!!.... i bought new prada 3.0 in March. everything goes smoothly until i experience that my prada getting hang when i use internet for certain periods... and one more thing it is very hard to find prada accessories especially for the cover or casing..

Sold my p6200 for this. Upgraded mine to ics and its really worthit. very slim, very light. very nice colors on screen. very poor battery compared to iphone 4. the back case looks really cheap. it might have been better if they used a back cover without texture. But i really love this phone.

Had this lovely Prada 3.0 for 3 months. One of the best phones I ever had, comparing to Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0 plus. Bright screen, nice music and video player, slim design, and long-life battery. Gingerbread OS is really stable and no lags or shut down. Very strong network. Have updated with ICS, and its really an improvement over the old gingerbread. Look forward to Optimus 4X HD has to offer.

Yea, its just a disappointing to see a Prada is a famous leathercraft but their only first smartphone (not a phone but a smart one) come with a plastic, and their package such as a premium prada brand cradle not included, I used a 3600mAh battery with a leather case and its look good from behind but became thick from side, the original case was good to make it seem slim, and the slim is as slim as the S II, I like that slim

I agree the Saffiano would be nicer if it were leather, but leather would wear poorly. perhaps a vinyl imitation or something. None the less, no worse off than a Highend Samsung backing. Big plus for the Masking icons. Gives it a real lux feel!

All LG Pradas come with a factory screen protector installed and yes there is a factory seal on the manila outer box..I have seen and tested ones without the seal..they all had factory screen protectors, battery door info stickers(clear with white writing) and clear, protective film along all sides of the phone! I still have yet to remove the factory screen protector and other factory film around the phone...Hence, it doesnt come off easily unless you have taken it off! (used the phone)

just got my Prada everything i can say is really amazing compare to my iphone 4, much faster, more features, large screen and more functions,battery is just a little bit faster to drain maybe because of it's big screen, camera is great, its sharp and even you take picture in the dark it looks like you're taking picture at mid day.and one thing i've found more functions that it don't have in iphone4.i inquire for this model about to upgrade into android 4.0 from LG support and they said android 4 for this model will be available next month.

My unit is bought last march. With reg use of text and call, and an hour or two of games and internet, it reached 24-36 hours. This is a first hand experience. Androids usually consumes batt faster than nokias but fruit phones are faster especially on 3g.

Its still an android. You can change to color icons and color wallpaper if you want. But the black and white theme is awesome. It gives the phone a professional appearance and increases battery life.

That is incorrect. HTC phones ROM size is 400-500mb size so no rom memory to run os when flashed due to HTC sense. LG Prada can run ICS just like the 2X with a custom rom meaning it can. Even the ZTE Blade can run it with 512 rom

HTC just released a press statement stating that any phones with 512 Mb Rom or less won't be updated to Android 4.0 given the fact that 512 Mb Rom isn't sufficient for the Android 4.0 update. It's then I realize that the LG Prada 3.0 is equipped with a 512 Mb Rom. (I am referring to the ROM here not RAM). I recently purchased this handset from T-Mobile, and I've gotta say I'm pretty impressed! I'm a long time iPhone user, and was undecided if i should go for the 4S, or move over to Andriod. I was considering the Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation, wasn't even aware of the LG Prada. I came across it in T-Mobile and was instantly attracted by it's looks, it's a lot more stylish and expensive looking than the other Andriod handsets on offer. The Screen is a technology LG call Nova Plus, and it really blew me away with it's quality, it is super sharp and very bright, undoutedly the best screen I have seen on a phone. The 8MP camera is excellent, the autofocus is super accurate, def superior to my iPhone4. The handset is dualcore, dual channel, dual memory, and I must say it is very fast indeed! I'm surprised this phone has not received more attention, in my opinion it is better than other Andriod handsets of a similar price.

battery lasts for 12 hours (Wifi, 3G on) with moderate gaming and texting. Anyone tell me if it's long compared to others? (I have never used smartphone b4, this is my first). Sometimes it lags if you perform your finger too quick or switch too quickly between apps and screens. I like it anyway. Very very beautiful. It catches my friend's attention.

Battery life is a disappointment. Doesn't last me half a working day. Not as user friendly as Galaxy S II with many of the settings that cannot be set or change. Still, it's a great phone!

Tried it in one of the shops. Surprisingly smooth interface, in terms of comparing with the motorola Razr and SGS2, this one wins in terms of fluidity. Think its not so much of the dual core, but rather the dual channel that matters. Anyways, enough talk. Go to the stores and try it out for yourself. You will be surprised.

I can understand why many of you is negative when looking at only the spec. i had my dought my selv. but to my surprise i find this phone pretty fast, it ain't lagging (not yet) the batter seams good. for my usages with games running in the background, surfing, facebook ect., it last apox 2 days. ( This might got to do with the black theme) The PRADA Theme (all in black and White) all the text, widget, settings and even the android pattern lock. this give the phone a special feeling no other phone will do. So if you looking for a phone that have greate spec.(not superior) have uniq design on both the out- and inside this is a must buy. If this Prada 3 uses a 540 x 960 pixels screen resolution, that is perfect - at least to me. Battery capacity is another concern for me, I guess you need to charge it everyday.

Or even better, the screen of the Motorola RAZR - Super AMOLED Advanced in qHD resolution. Battery is also way too small. The RAZR MAXX boasts about the same thickness, but a massive 3300mAh battery, more than twice of what this brings to the table. I have the LG KM900, it is not as good as mentioned in GSMARENA. I like simple design phone, this Prada 3.0 is perfect for me. I worry it will sell at a higher price than without the Prada name on it. Does this phone uses Corning Gorilla Glass?

i think its the best looking phone in the market at this point in time, no other android phone, apple phone or a windows phone compares to it. i really hope they LG and PRADA can offer a windows phone variant of this. long live prada for giving us a beautiful phone which will be an inspiration for next apple, samsung, and nokia phones.

The difference is that this is the successor of the original Prada, which was out even before the first iPhone. Then, design - best looking menus you'll ever see. Of course, if you're 16 you want a phone that looks like a video game, with a bunch of effects which get boring tomorrow, but this one is one of the very few phones you won't feel stupid using for a year, two or more.

Currently,LG is doing a great job.battery is ok and the OS is andoid 2.3 ,hopefully it will be upgraded to 4.0/1ghz dual core processor is also nice.

What we like (and admire) about the LG lineup of MND's (mobile networked devices) is their ability to bring current, if not the very cutting-edge, technology to the marketplace quickly and rather efficiently. As a somewhat latecomer to the Android OS marketplace LG quickly established itself as a manufacturer of quality and decent test engineering. Additionally in how they take top-end CPU's and offer good choice of capabilities and features. Our take has been that LG has been able to release to market quickly with decent support. They just haven't "pushed their own R&D envelope] preferring to use more mature top-end electronics. We have no issue with this strategy and perhaps their late entry is partially behind this tactic. LG quality in their other lines of business is a strength they can utilize. Endusers seem pleased with LG's offerings and we concur. If they can push further out by incorporating both cutting edge and entry to midlevel devices while offering non-locked down UI's and ROM (SoC flash) their ability to launch quickly will further their market share. Put a duocore CPU with a 2nd generation GPU into the Prada K2 along with NFC and other topend features and the Prada K2 will be one of the top 10 or so MND's. We in N.America need LG's abilities in rapid test engineering and product launch to keep competition viable or the other topend mfg's will priceout to many endusers. Keep it up LG...we like. JOHO

Yes,there are a lot of rich people in the world and also lg phones are become more popular but lg logo is not as attractive as some great logos for some people.however i like lg phones and i have a lcd 42" full hd, a dvd player ,a vcr are made by lg and also i'm sending this massage by my lg phone. by the way could i ask you a question?
